Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an I-Heart podcast. My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly, and now I'm seriously suspicious. Wait a minute, Sam. Maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit. Well, Dakota, luckily, it's back to school week on the OK Storytime podcast, so we'll find out soon. This person writes, my boyfriend's been hanging out with his young professor a lot. He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her. Now he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone.
Starting point is 00:00:25 Hold up. Isn't that against school policy? That seems inappropriate. Maybe find out how it ends by listening to the OK Storytime podcast and the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Let's start with a quick puzzle. The answer is Ken Jennings' appearance on The Puzzler with A.J. Jacobs. The question is, what is the most entertaining listening experience in podcast land? Jeopardy Truthers believe in... I guess they would be Kenspiracy theorists. That's right.
Starting point is 00:00:58 To give you the answers and you still blitzers. The Puzzler. Listen on the iHeart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hi, my name is Enya Humanzor. And I'm Drew Phillips. And we run a podcast called Emergency Intercom. If you're a crime junkie and you love crimes, we're not the podcast for you. But if you have unmedicated ADHD... Oh my God, perfect. And want to hear people with mental illness. Psychobabble Yes, yes Then Emergency Intercom is the podcast for you

Starting point is 00:01:45 And we're best friends and journalists With a new podcast Called No Such Thing Where we get to the bottom Of questions like that Why are you screaming I can't expect what to do Now if the rule was the same
Starting point is 00:01:57 Go off on me I deserve it you know lock him up listen to no such thing on the iHeart radio app apple podcasts or wherever you get your podcast no such thing this is the ben and ashley i almost famous podcast with i heart radio hey everyone welcome to the almost famous podcast today we have two special guests we have gary and jack from the golden bachelorette they're here because this week you've seen them on the episode of the bachelor and they were part of prom. Guys, we're so excited to have you here. And Gary, we're very happy to have you out in our
Starting point is 00:02:35 almost same as retreat in Carmel, California. So before we start talking about this week's episode, we got to know about your flirtation. Uh, it was a Kathy that you were getting a little flirty with? Oh, no. That wasn't. Oh, no. It wasn't him. That was my, that was our other brother. I was key. But it was all innocent. It was all. It was all. It was. all innocence, no real flirtations, happens. We were all just becoming closer to friends. But our producer is saying that perhaps you were holding hands with Kathy at some point. No, no, not him.
Starting point is 00:03:15 No, that wasn't me. I was teaching his journey back. He was late for an interview. They were both late for an interview. And, but, you know, no, that was, I was not bad guy. This is too good, and his sound is too bad. Hey, if you couldn't quite make that out, he was denying the fact that he was holding Kathy's hand
Starting point is 00:03:44 during our almost famous retreat. He says it was some other friend. Oh, my gosh. But our producers say otherwise. Jack, you have said that you would do a golden bachelor, a golden bachelor in paradise in a split second you'd say yes so who would you be looking for to be there from the golden bachelor do you have your eye on any particular ladies i think christine is absolutely beautiful hey jack what about what about susan and me talk all the time but you know
Starting point is 00:04:19 we just we didn't when we met we didn't have a great i mean we had a good connection and she's a great lady. We just, again, we talk all the time. Okay. Who was into who there? It was Susan trying to get with you? And then you're like, eh, not really my vibe? No, I don't think it was either one. I think, I mean, Susan's a great lady and she's got everything going out there. And I mean, she's all over everywhere. But I think it was, and we're both. I mean, it's not like I'm not interested in her. God, I got to move my thumb. and yeah she's just a really nice nice lady but do i you know christine is is is beautiful and i really like her are you possibly talking about christina yeah the blonde-haired lady yes christina okay i keep calling her christine is is that uh something between you two that you call her christine or have you just never met her before no no no i met her but you know in fact she corrected me because I don't know. I calls it Christine, yes.
Starting point is 00:05:31 And he continues to do so. Even after your recent correction, Christina, I tend to screw up a few things, but it's okay. We still love you, bro. We love you. Thank you. Where did you meet Christina in person or she corrected you on this? We were in Hollywood.
Starting point is 00:05:52 Not Hollywood, but yeah, somewhere I think it was the men's tell-all. somewhere in there and you got her number oh yeah yeah we talk and we text back and forth yes and do you have plans to meet up again
Starting point is 00:06:08 we do at some point in time we don't have anything right now because I'm in Florida and she's in California Gary anybody on your list besides perhaps Kathy that you would like to see in a golden bachelor in paradise well there's a couple three
Starting point is 00:06:25 but, you know, Nancy was pretty amazing. Love Nancy. He is all of our favorites is Nancy. And I got to tell you, she sat next to me at the men tell all, but she wasn't feeling well. And I said, I wonder if that's, is that me? But I came to find out she was really not doing so hot, you know, physically. But we took a picture together, and it was pretty special. so I thought, hmm, let's, let's, Nancy's amazing.
Starting point is 00:06:59 She's a good Christian lady and she's a great person, as you saw on the final episode with Joan in shock and was a good counselor for Joan. Just seems like an overall great person. Stunning inside and out, it seems, yes. Amen. Okay. Well, even though I would love to interrogate you guys about your favorite late. from the Golden Bachelor and who you'd like to, you know, maybe like cuddle up with. I am here to talk about your behind the, what you've seen, what you saw behind the scenes on
Starting point is 00:07:34 The Bachelor this week. So you were part of the prom rose ceremony cocktail party. Who did you think Grant was hook, Grant was hitting it off best with? Should I go first, Jack? You want me to go? yes you're always the better speaker no come on come on man i love you for that but nah i i think um i thought it was going to be zoe um because they seemed like they were really hitting it off in in a good way and she seemed like um you know just such the um a good fit for him
Starting point is 00:08:13 so for me i thought it was zoe okay jack i you know i thought it was zoe but then all of a sudden he had all that conflict and everything so i I don't know if, I don't know if that's going to be. What did you guys particularly see about the Zoe interaction that stood out? What I saw was just the personality with what she was bringing to the table. And it seemed as if Grant was kind of leaning that way, even though he has to spread his love with all the girls. I thought that him and Zoe were,
Starting point is 00:08:52 Well, it just seemed like there was a potential connection there. This is really great insight. Do you think otherwise after watching the first few episodes? Have you been watching? I have been. Yeah. Yeah. I have been too.
Starting point is 00:09:08 Okay. So what's your take on Zoe's future? Well, it's starting to fade a little bit. It's starting to fade a little bit. Now, who? It's just such a coin. toss you just I have no idea
Starting point is 00:09:25 I have no idea they've done really well at holding our at piquing our interest as to who he may who he may pick so I don't know so Carolina I thought
Starting point is 00:09:38 at one time that that was going to be but I'm not sure on that either anymore so you know it's kind of you know on our show I think it was more how can you say it We had favorites right away, or I thought we had favorites right away.
Starting point is 00:09:56 And I think this one kind of bounces back and forth to who the favorites are. My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly, and now I'm seriously suspicious. Oh, wait a minute, Sam. Maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit. Well, Dakota, it's back to school week on the OK Storytime podcast, so we'll find out soon. This person writes, my boyfriend has been hanging out with his young professor a lot. He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her. Now, he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone.
Starting point is 00:10:27 Now, hold up. Isn't that against school policy? That sounds totally inappropriate. Well, according to this person, this is her boyfriend's former professor, and they're the same age. And it's even more likely that they're cheating. He insists there's nothing between them. I mean, do you believe him? Well, he's certainly trying to get this person to believe him because he now wants them both to meet.
Starting point is 00:10:45 So, do we find out if this person's boyfriend really cheated with his professor or not? To hear the explosive finale, listen to the... the OK Storytime podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. What would you do if one bad decision forced you to choose between a maximum security prison or the most brutal boot camp designed to be hell on earth? Unfortunately from Mark Lombardo, this was the choice he faced. He said, you are a number, a New York state number, and we own you. Shock incarceration, also known as boot camps, are short-term, highly regimented correctional programs,
Starting point is 00:11:21 that mimic military basic training. These programs aim to provide a shock of prison life, emphasizing strict discipline, physical training, hard labor, and rehabilitation programs. Mark had one chance to complete this program and had no idea of the hell awaiting him the next six months. The first night was so overwhelming, and you don't know who's next to you. And we didn't know what to expect in the morning. Nobody tells you anything.
Starting point is 00:11:48 Listen to shock incarceration on the IHeart Radio, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. A foot washed up a shoe with some bones in it. They had no idea who it was. Most everything was burned up pretty good from the fire that not a whole lot was salvageable. These are the coldest of cold cases, but everything is about to change.
Starting point is 00:12:12 Every case that is a cold case that has DNA. Right now in a backlog will be identified in our lifetime. A small lab in Texas is cracking the COVID, on DNA. Using new scientific tools, they're finding clues in evidence so tiny you might just miss it. He never thought he was going to get caught, and I just looked at my computer screen. I was just like, ah, gotcha. On America's Crime Lab, we'll learn about victims and survivors, and you'll meet the team behind the scenes at Othrum, the Houston Lab that takes on the most hopeless cases, to finally solve the unsolvable. Listen to America's Crime Lab on the
Starting point is 00:12:51 iHeart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hi, my name is Enya Emanzor. And I'm Drew Phillips. And we run a podcast called Emergency Intercom. If you're a crime junkie and you love crimes, we're not the podcast for you. But if you have unmedicated ADHD... Oh my God, perfect. And want to hear people with mental illness, psychobabble.
Starting point is 00:13:18 Yes, yes. Then Emergency Intercom is the podcast for you. Open your free iHeartRadio app, search emergency intercom, and listen now. Did you guys know that Chalk was going to be, like, say, top three really early on? I say yes, because from that first one-on-one date the Chalk had with Joan, when they went to Disneyland, I thought at that point, that guy is in position A. he's in position one because I mean when you win
Starting point is 00:13:54 guess where you get to go I'm going to Disneyland so I thought he hasn't and the fact that he was my roommate so I was pulling for him and Guy both of them so it was great to see them both in the finale
Starting point is 00:14:10 but yeah I at first I thought it was going to be Guy and then Chalk and then Guy and then I said yeah chalk has this there's there's something about him uh that she absolutely needs and loves so that that was my initial thing so that's interesting because i never understood how guy was getting so far but you definitely saw it in person yeah yeah go on jack your turn yeah go on jack why is this funny so i because i i tend to agree with you also and i like guy guy was a very nice man
Starting point is 00:14:47 but it just didn't seem like he was the you know i mean i again i thought chack was the you know chack was the frontrunner i thought jordan you know he's you know in great shape he's good looking guy he's got a great job he i thought he was this would have been a second and yeah okay of the girls that you met there did one stand out to be just the nicest and friendliest to you Christina, of course, for me. Are you talking about... No, no, no, sir. Can't get off of Christina.
Starting point is 00:15:21 I'm talking about the back... I'm talking about Grant's women. Oh, Jack, you're the best, man. You really is wonderful. I'm glad you pulled me on here with Jack. Classic. Well, that's because anything I say, you look better because you speak so well. That isn't it.
Starting point is 00:15:43 It's just, you, you're great. That's all I can say. I'm just glad that I get to be on your laughing and being so gregarious with you. And, you know, and I miss you. That's, that's all that is. That's all it is. Sounds good. But, okay, so, but for me, the one that I thought, again, I'm going to stick with Zoe.
Starting point is 00:16:04 Her person, she and I spent some time together talking, however little time it was, but she really made an impression on me as well. So I got to stick. I know. I'm speaking with Zoe all the way through. Zoe all around. What can I say, man? Were you sure?
Starting point is 00:16:24 You sure you just not crushing on her? Because she's quite stunning. I'm not crushing on those young girls. No, they still have a ways to go. So, yeah, no. They're old enough to be our grandchildren. exactly thank you for that jack yeah exactly actually technically possibly yes because everybody had kids young like say you had a kid at 25 then your kid had a kid at 25 you know
Starting point is 00:16:57 yeah i don't know yeah i don't know about grandkids but definitely young enough to be my god it's not grandkids just to the quick girl math of my head not still not grandkids right no not grandkids I'm not that old. Yeah. Thanks, Jack. All right. Well, let me ask you quickly if you saw anything about Latia, because to me, Latia is the front runner. Latia was a sweetheart.
Starting point is 00:17:21 Yeah, she was a sweetheart. Seemed very compassionate and very just a fun, outgoing personality. So, yeah, I can see why she would be. Absolutely. Latia Oh You haven't contemplated
Starting point is 00:17:41 Latia as being a finalist I don't You don't think Natia but I know now now what she's mentioned Okay
Starting point is 00:17:47 I guess my final question for y'all is was there anything that happened that was worth mentioning that didn't make air Gary will go with you since apparently
Starting point is 00:17:59 you're the better one speaking What didn't make air was just being back in the man was in and of itself, just a surreal moment. Yeah, it's great, right?
Starting point is 00:18:13 Yeah, especially that I had the use of my telephone, because we were sequestered no telecommunication devices whatsoever. So being in the mansion with my phone and talking with the guys around the fireplace that didn't make any of the edits and then wanting to go and be involved with the program. but being required to just stay in the room we were in. It's like, I want to go out there and party with these guys. You were sequestered? Well, no, we were in the room that we had to stay in while they began their other things that they were doing.
Starting point is 00:18:57 And I wanted to be out there with them. So we had to kind of hang back and do our thing. But it was great being there. It really was. I had a ball. It was the best going back and not having the nerves, but getting the nostalgia. Totally. Totally.
Starting point is 00:19:15 Totally. And by the way, while I was there, I counted the candles. Does anybody remember when I said 72 candles? Anyway, there were 71, and that was just the guess. Wait, 71 candles in the entire house during a cocktail party? Or like on the wall, where are we talking? On the one wall. On the one wall.
Starting point is 00:19:36 And the funny thing about that, as I'm looking at Jack, he's standing there, he's going, one, two, three, and he's going, and he turns right, he says, yep, there's 71 candles up there. Like, Jack, who cares about the stupid candles? But, you know, that was also where Jack spent a lot of time sleeping at night. Yeah, this is the best way to end that podcast. There are 71 candles on the wall. Thank you guys for your information and your pure entertainment. Hope to see you soon.
Starting point is 00:20:16 Maybe on Paradise because maybe the Bachelor Paradise Senior Edition needs to actually happen. That would be a lot of fun. That would be a lot of fun. God bless you. Thanks for having me. God bless. I've been Ashley. Thank you.
