Starting point is 00:02:10 And I'm Jordan, the show's producer. And like most guys, I haven't been to the doctor in way too long. I'll be asking the questions we probably should be asking, but aren't. Every week, we're breaking down the world of men's health from testosterone and fitness to diets and fertility. We'll talk science without the jargon and get your real answers to the stuff you actually wonder about. So check out the mailroom on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your favorite shows.
Starting point is 00:02:35 This is the Ben and Ashley I, Almost Famous Podcasts with IHart Radio. Hey, guys, it's the Almost Famous Podcast. It is me solo, but not really, because I am joined here by two lovely men, Jonathan Johnson and Justin Glace, two of my favorite guys from recent Bachelor history. of course you guys are kind of like you're in the class above me like far above me I guess like you we didn't go to high school at the same time basically okay but we know of each other yeah yeah and like we've met nothing good things to say yeah nothing but great things to say so we were actually supposed to have grant on the podcast with you guys supposed to be like a a trio but since
Starting point is 00:03:18 he's not here and it was a it was a late cancel I do want to ask his questions because it was the juiciest question of the entire podcast to you guys and you can just have fun with it so juliana went on bachelor happy hour the podcast this week and she said that the day after after the final rose after their finale that they exchanged some words that were hurtful and the next morning he actually had like a game plan for publicly announcing their breakup did you guys hear about this i think that's a headline well i Yeah, but I will say I was there like at their party like the night after and they look they looked happy They look they look it's can be deceiving They can be deceiving and that's true and I was but I was gassing her up but I was like you guys look so great together blah blah She seemed like stoked about it this is after you guys got off stage like after the audience this is when we went to that You know like the celebration party that they hold for the winners winners yeah we were there all together with her family like everybody was stoked they're like we love grant blah blah blah blah I think they got into the fight right after that.
Starting point is 00:04:27 Do we know what the fight was about? No. We don't, really, specifically. But he was ready to break up and make it official publicly that soon after. So I kind of wanted to know what happened that night. I know. I kind of wish he was here to explain himself. I know.
Starting point is 00:04:44 Well, next time. That would have been good. So Justin, the last time we saw you, you were basically, leaving paradise um you and susie had obviously had so much love between the two of you and um i was kind of like rooting for a reconciliation i was like there's they're just there's something there what is um your relationship status these days oh um i'm i'm single yeah would would would jonathan ever be allowed to date susy absolutely the Not.
Starting point is 00:05:24 Yeah, I don't even have to answer that one. That's a crazy question. So you guys are really tight, right? Yes. That's my dog. Well, you know. No, that's my boy. That's my boy.
Starting point is 00:05:36 Yeah. Okay, good. Well, so who from Bachelor Nation, Justin, would you see Jonathan with? Whoa. That's what to ask me. God, I just got my cheeks in the seat. I've never asked you that. I'd like to ask the hard questions right off the top.
Starting point is 00:05:52 For Jonathan. Yeah. Ooh, this is a good one. This is a good one. So it's tough to say because I haven't met a ton of them in person, and I don't like to go by just what you see, like either on the screen or on social media and whatnot. But I can describe what I think Jonathan would want and need in a person,
Starting point is 00:06:19 and then maybe that can kind of brew up some. names. Nah, I think she wants the juicy. I think she wants a name. I don't know any. You don't know any girls that you think you would like to set up Jonathan with? He wants to be set up with Caitlin Bristow, but I told that. I told her.
Starting point is 00:06:38 I told her that. I'm just not sure. Yeah, but I'm so dead ass. He asked. He asked her. Oh. It's like, it's like always a bit. What's that I'm wailing?
Starting point is 00:06:46 Oh, shit. What's that? What's that mean? What was about to say? I'm way off just when you think you know the guy Before we hit record
Starting point is 00:06:57 Jonathan was telling me that he likes a girl who's calm cool and collected hilariously I don't think Katie would call herself any of those
Starting point is 00:07:05 And that's what You see what I'm saying Okay okay okay No but he likes He needs a little spice too That is true He needs someone that can go deep But also
Starting point is 00:07:12 I can keep him on his toes She's very confident She's very confident Herself Well she's like cool Like she's obviously very cool And she's not calm
Starting point is 00:07:20 And she's usually Not collected And I say this as a friend, a good friend, a 10-year-long friend. I could see you with a, well, I don't know. I haven't had enough conversations. But I think in terms of like the Caitlin side of things, that girl, Carolina. Oh, please. Have you guys met before?
Starting point is 00:07:42 You see where my head's at? I obsessed with this idea because, okay. Yeah. Carolina. No, I'm cooking. Just friends. No, I'm cooking. No.
Starting point is 00:07:51 Are you just friends? Do you have spoken? We have hung out before. How was it? Friendly. Interesting. Jonathan's favorite words. That's crazy.
Starting point is 00:08:03 My boy loves a friend. My boy loves a friend. I'm just picky. Friends owner ultimate boss. I'm just picky. Is it safe to say that Carolina and Jonathan may have made out once? No. that's not safe to say.
Starting point is 00:08:22 It's not safe to say. Okay. It's not safe to say. He's like all squiggly guys. Like he's like just wiggling all about right now. I just say that I could see you guys together because Carolina was on our podcast and we're talking about Joe Jonas and you have a Joe Jonas look. Is that true?
Starting point is 00:08:42 I could see that. Yeah. I could see. Definitely. That's a beautiful man. I'll take that. He has great taste in men too. This is Jonathan's a winner.
Starting point is 00:08:50 here yeah so all right we'll go to some more serious questions now yeah don't make me friends on any more people please okay well actually we have to reciprocate the question so jonathan since justin is single we also need you to pick somebody for justin that we all know good luck it's got to be somebody like he's funny like funny as hell is they got a match is funny i don't know if i've met anybody that's like a funny girl yet where i'm I'm like, no, you make me like belly laugh. You know what I mean? Like somebody that could keep up with his wit.
Starting point is 00:09:26 And I genuinely don't know if I've met any girl in Bachelorsenation like that. Well, Leah's hilarious, but I don't think him and Leo would work. It's 5.23 p.m. One of your kids is asking for a snack. Another is building a fort out of your clean laundry. Have you ever listened to those true crime shows and found yourself with more questions than answers? And what is this? How is that not a story we all know? What's this, where is that? Why is it wet?
Starting point is 00:10:52 Boy, do we have a show for you. From smartless media, campside media, and big money players comes crimeless. Join me, Josh Dean, investigative journalists. And me, Roy Scoval, comedian, as we celebrate the amazing creativity of the world's
Starting point is 00:11:09 dumbest criminals. We'll look into some of the silliest ways folks have broken the laws. Honestly, it feels more like a high-level prank than a crime. Who cat fish is a city. And meet some memorable anti-heroes. There are thousands of angry, horny monkeys. Clap if you think she's a witch. And it freaks you out. He has X-ray vision. How could I not follow him? Honestly, I got to follow me. He can see right through me. Listen to Crimless on the
Starting point is 00:11:36 IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Dad had the strong belief that the devil was attacking us. Two brothers, one devout household, two radically different paths. Gabe Ortiz became one of the highest-ranking law enforcement officers in Texas. Thirty-two years, total law enforcement experience. But his brother Larry, he stayed behind and built an entirely different legacy. He was the head of this gang, and nobody was going to tell him what to do. You're going to push that line for the calls. Took us under his wing and showed us the game, as they call it. When Larry is murdered, Gabe is forced to confront the past he tried to leave behind, and uncover secrets he never saw coming.
Starting point is 00:12:20 My dad had a whole other life that we never knew about. Like, my mom started screaming my dad's name, and I just heard one gunshot. The Brothers Ortiz is a gripping true story about faith, family, and how two lives can drift so far apart and collide in the most devastating way. Listen to the Brothers Ortiz on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Stefan Kemp. Curry and this is Gentleman's Cut. I think what makes
Starting point is 00:12:50 Gentleman's Cut different is me being a part of developing the profile of this beautiful finished product with every sip you get a little something different. Visit gentlemen's cuthuburn.com or your nearest total wines or Bevmo. This message is intended for audiences 21 and older. Gentleman's Cut Bourbon, Boone County, Kentucky. Starting point is 00:13:18 I'm the director of the men's clinic at UCLA Health, and I want to tell you about my new podcast called The Mailroom. And I'm Jordan, the show's producer. And like a lot of guys, I haven't been to the doctor in many years. I'll be asking the questions we probably should be asking, but aren't. Because guys usually don't go to the doctor unless a piece of their face is hanging off or they've broken a bone. Depends which bone.
Starting point is 00:13:40 Well, that's true. Every week, we're breaking down the unique world of men's health, from testosterone and fitness to diets and fertility, and things that happen in the bedroom. You mean sleep? Yeah, something like that, Jordan. We'll talk science without the jargon and get you real answers to the stuff you actually wonder about. It's going to be fun, whether you're 27, 97, or somewhere in between. Men's health is about more than six packs and supplements.
Starting point is 00:14:05 It's about energy, confidence, and connection. We don't just want you to live longer. We want you to live better. So check out the mailroom on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your favorite shows. Okay, so if you could revisit your time in Paradise with anybody else in that cast, in Justin, let's just say in both of your Paradise cast, who would you ask on a date that you didn't? First time or second time? I said for you could be there. Oh, honestly, well, let's go to the most recent one.
Starting point is 00:14:45 I did exactly what I wanted to do. I mean, when I came in, obviously, I had the date card. So I kind of was able to pick whoever. I really can't think of anyone from either cast that I would have wanted to pursue that I didn't try to. Or she's just saying, like, just take on a date, though. Like, I feel like. Yeah, like, he doesn't even have to be, like, super hot and steaming. Like, I think I would have loved to take Lex on a date, but I don't think I'm her type.
Starting point is 00:15:11 But I think it so would have been a fun, good date. Yeah. No, yeah. I feel that. I mean? I really can't think of anyone. Like, even some of you just have fun with, like, like, dude, watching you and Leia go on a date would be fucking hilarious. I was gone by that time.
Starting point is 00:15:29 I know, but that's not what she's saying. Yeah, this is hypothetical. This is totally hypothetical, like, the entire cast. Damn, guys. Okay, we're going to move on. Yeah, I'm so sorry. It is totally. Okay.
Starting point is 00:15:42 I mean brain fog. It's okay. I understand brain fog when it comes to remembering. April. You can take my girl April on a date. That would have been jokes. Oh, yeah. What about faith?
Starting point is 00:15:55 So it's the holiday season and these podcasts are slightly holiday themed. And I wanted to know, is there anything that you enjoy about being single at the holidays? Is there anything that's better, take a better opportunity? We just talked about this. We're like, dude, we just want to do. date somebody just so we can enjoy like the like the coziness about the holiday season
Starting point is 00:16:17 yesterday. Literally last night we're talking about this. I'm like man we we are pretty fortunate to get some opportunities to travel and get invited to stuff and I'm like man it would be really nice to like go to these things enjoy the experiences with somebody and then go home cuddle up with some hot chocolate. That's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:16:32 And watch a movie. Like that is no. Yeah I guess not. There's not many things about it. I have to say I don't think I miss a single thing about being single around the holidays. It used to be a time where I would get super stressed about the fact that I was single. I was like, oh my gosh, another Christmas and I'm single. And then I would sing like the Britney Spears Christmas song
Starting point is 00:16:51 just thinking about how I wanted to like have a boyfriend for Christmas. I think that I will say though, the one thing that is probably nice when I look back on this is being able to go to all the holiday things I want versus like having to like do my person's things too. Yeah. If there's something where I'm like, oh, I want to go to this. I get to go to this.
Starting point is 00:17:10 I can. in whatever capacity I want, I have that freedom to do that. Yeah. Would I prefer to bring my person to all those things for sure? But being able to go to all the things that I want selfishly in this time of life, looking back on it,
Starting point is 00:17:24 I'll probably be like, damn, that was nice for a little bit. You don't have a small talk with people that you don't really know on her side. Yeah. But I also love meeting new people, though, so. You're so sweet. All right, well, this is such a service-level question, but do you guys have anything on your Christmas list?
Starting point is 00:17:48 My mom asked me the same question. Really? Yeah. I feel like now it's crazy. I'm not answering any of your questions directly, but no. It's okay, Justin. I feel like I'm at the age now where it's like, or within the past couple of years, it like has switched where now I'm like asking my parents like, what do you want in getting them a
Starting point is 00:18:08 bunch of stuff? And I'm like, I'm good. I don't need anything. Yeah. I try to buy myself whatever. Yeah, I'm like, I could get it. But now I'm like, let me pay it forward and whatever you guys want. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:17 I'm more excited about hearing from you what's on your list than to like, I don't, you know. Yeah. I say for me, anytime I feel like there's something I want to buy like right now, I'm like, oh, should I need to buy this? Like, I just broke my Apple Watch. And I was like, ah, I should probably tell my mom like I need that. But I ended up just buying because I needed it quick. But like Apple Watch is on there. I'm a big watch guy, regular watch, shoes.
Starting point is 00:18:40 like hats i don't know i love experiences give me a spot day i'm down for a good spot a i think it's all these just the experience gifts for me as an adult and especially from family i feel like so my parents usually give us money but i was recently thinking like debating should i ask for like an experience gift that i wouldn't necessarily buy for myself because when she does you know when my mom and dad give me money that i'm like you know i save it or it goes to whoever you know like life and what experience Would you pick? I was thinking, should I ask her for like three months of Pilates,
Starting point is 00:19:19 like unlimited Pilates classes instead of like the money that I probably wouldn't put towards Pilates classes? I like that. Okay. I like that. Yeah. I like that. So now that you say that you're excited about asking what your parents want, what do your parents want?
Starting point is 00:19:34 What do you plan on getting them? I don't think they're going to listen. So my mom. I was just home for Thanksgiving and she wants a new kitchen table and so we were at the and my mom's got she got good taste she got expensive taste
Starting point is 00:19:53 and so she's the one where she's like always wanted to like renovate and do new things and my dad's kind of like we don't need that and so she had a laptop up and kind of like perusing this site and looking at kitchen tables restoration hardware it was our house
Starting point is 00:20:08 A-R-H-A-S And she was like Yeah, like I would really like this But blah blah But like I don't know if your dad's gonna go for it So I'm like gonna get him a kitchen table Oh my gosh, that's a good one It's a really good one
Starting point is 00:20:22 Those tables are pretty expensive Yeah, I know Those are really expensive Well All right, all right So then Jonathan What are you on hoping to get your parents My dad's a simple creature
Starting point is 00:20:34 He doesn't really need much Creatures crazy He just We're men, bro, we're creatures. All of us. Honestly, I could just get my dad like a new pair of shoes and he's cool. Like, if I spent money on him,
Starting point is 00:20:48 he would like not appreciate, like he would be more upset that I spent the money than he would appreciate that I got it for him. That makes sense? That's like my dad too, except for my sister and I are debating whether or not we should get my dad tickets to see the Eagles at the sphere
Starting point is 00:21:01 because he's been saying, I want to see, like, and he never says, I want to do something. Or if I want to travel, it's just like not my dad, but he actually, like, has been asking my mom if she would go. But here's the thing. My mom is like, I'm not traveling across the country for a concert. And I tried to convince her that, like, a concert at the sphere is definitely a different thing.
Starting point is 00:21:21 It's an experience. It's not just a concert. Would they, like, enjoy the rest of what Vegas has to offer? Like, would they gamble a little bit? They would go to dinner and my dad would play, like, a little something. My sister just got married in Vegas in April. So they were kind of just there. They had to see Adele?
Starting point is 00:21:36 That would be sick. The who? No, I see, I want to bring my dad to the backstreet boys because I'm definitely going to the backstreet at the sphere again. I don't know exactly when, but that's something I've been like, dad, when I was there at that show, I was thinking my dad would lose it. Like, he would think this would be the coolest thing ever. My dad just really likes technology and visuals and stuff. So I've been wanting to take him to backstreet. And then he's like, no, I want to see the Eagles, not Backstreet.
Starting point is 00:22:03 And I'm like, well, I know. Eagles are his favorite band. It'd be a good one. I like that. Now I'm blah, blah, blah. Yeah, so he's got to figure out who's going to go with him. I mean, I would definitely love to go. It's just like, how many concerts can Ashley travel for a lot, apparently?
Starting point is 00:22:19 Not enough. On the flip side of that, my mom, my mom just likes time. Like, again, she's an experienced girl. If I'm like, hey, I got us a spa day in Sedona, her world would crumble before her. She'd go, oh, my God, we get to, like, go do this together. I'd be like, yep. And that would be her best gift ever, I think. your son to the spa day. That's so unique. Honestly, I don't think she cares what it is.
Starting point is 00:22:41 Like, she would love to go like ATVing too. Like if I got an ATV experience, she'd be like, yes, let's go do 10 foot jumps. And I'd be like, okay, you get bigger balls than I do. But yeah, let's do it. Okay. Well, guys, thanks for joining me. Have the best time at Jingle Ball. And until next time, I've been Ashley. I've been Jonathan. Perfect. And I've been Justin. Thanks. We're weird. That's how we've signed up. for eight years. Bye! Follow the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcasts on IHartRadio
