This is an I-Heart podcast.
My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly, and now I'm seriously suspicious.
Wait a minute, Sam.
Maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit.
Well, Dakota, luckily, it's back to school week on the OK Storytime podcast, so we'll find out soon.
This person writes, my boyfriend's been hanging out with his young professor a lot.
He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her.
Now he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone.
Hold up. Isn't that against school policy? That seems inappropriate.
Maybe find out how it ends by listening to the OK Storytime podcast and the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

This is the Ben and Ashley I, almost famous podcast with Iheart Radio.
It's almost famous podcast.
Yes, we're back breaking down headlines, but also our friend, my friend, Ashley, has made
some headlines this week.
Her husband Jared spoke out on his podcast called Help I Suck It.
being newlyweds. Jared, I'm going to say outed you guys. I don't know if you wanted this to be
public or not. Yeah, I say it all the time. Oh, okay. Well, fine. Sounds way juicier than it is,
I'll tell you that. Well, it seems juicy to me because since we've been on this podcast,
you have moved across the country, you have bought a house, you have sold that house within a few
months of living there, and then you moved to a new house that I thought you loved.
I have not got this update yet, but the headline is that Ashley and Jared are not happy
in Rhode Island. Ashley, please elaborate.
Okay, it's like very salacious the way it sounds.
I don't necessarily see Rhode Island as being our necessarily forever establishment.
Forever home.
The thing is this, this is really what it comes down to.
I am very close to my family.
and up until, I think up until Dawson, it was always like, okay, I come home all the time,
you know, like once a month, and I FaceTime them all the time, and for the most part,
my sister was like almost always in the same city as me with a couple exceptions throughout
our lives. They were always not very long-lasting, but yeah, it's just, I want to be
where my family is now, and a lot of that has to do with Dawson.
because now, like, experiencing parenting and raising a child and just a child growing up,
it's something that you kind of want to share with your family.
And it's something that, like, can't necessarily be satisfied through FaceTime,
even though we FaceTime, like, three times a day.
It's like the morning FaceTime, the afternoon FaceTime, the night, the Good Night, Dawson, FaceTime.
But, like, I don't want everything to be via FaceTime with them.
And we end up coming home to Virginia a lot.
and Jared's like so great and wonderful and like he's like you can go home whenever you want
like we can we can like even maybe a couple years down the road like figure out how to like
kind of live in both places and you know in our dreams type situation but when it comes down to
it I just feel like I have more of a community in Virginia which is where I grew up and where
you know my immediate family is than I do in Rhode Island how would Jared's parents feel because
they live in Rhode Island how would they feel about you guys moving i'm sure they would be disappointed
yeah but you you think this is also something jared would be into now i know you and jared
have spent a lot of time no not not into jared um he kind of he knows the dynamic is different in
virginia he knows that like family time here is plentiful and that my
my family's just so involved with Dawson like hands on and he knows that like just the camaraderie
that there is when we're all together is something like we just don't have as much up in
Rhode Island so a couple follow-up here this is a big update in your life uh Audrey's coffee shop
is an incredible shop you and Jared have spent a lot of time on it where would that leave
Audrey's um well that would be like a hand-in-hand decision like it's all a hand-to-hand decision like we
would never we're not going to like cut the lease short by any means there isn't out in the lease
in September 2024 and that would be around the time that Jared would be interested in if like
if it's surviving then to keep it there and that would be fine and understandable and if it was
something that was still not being like which was
more still more of a passion project than i think he would i think he'd change locations to it
honestly because the actual space is so big that he desires a little bit of um a smaller space
for the kind of vibe that it has okay and then yeah the last was when would this be even being
considered um it wouldn't be anywhere i just have dawson with spaghetti all over
spaces came up to me it wouldn't be anywhere within the next year and a half so we're talking like
fall 20 24 if like that's when we would start making the thought more of a reality so obviously
jared spoke out on help i suck at being newlyweds uh did he handle this conversation well are you two
handling this conversation well together or has it been a a battle oh no no no no this is like
something that we talk about so often.
It was not a shocker
that he talked about it. I feel like I put it
out there a number of times that
I've been happier
different locales before.
It's really just like a sense of community.
Jared thought that when we moved to Rhode Island,
his life would feel the
way it did when he was in his
20s. You know, when everybody's kind of
single, nobody has kids,
and everybody gets together and it's just like
a community
vibe. And we
definitely don't have that.
We see a lot of his family and friends just on holidays.
And to me, like, it's just, it's not what I expected.
It's not enough.
Yeah, you want to work.
When we were, when we would go visit, which was often, you know, when we lived in
L.A., it seemed like we always had that.
We always had that time in multiple dinners and multiple friend hangouts.
But then you realize, like, oh, I guess you're just doing that because we're visiting.
but like not living but I feel like when we're in Virginia I mean maybe it maybe is the same thing
but I think when it really really comes down to it has to do with where my mom dad and sister are
it's a big life update in your life we will be following along I feel like we could have
the inside track here at the almost famous podcast if you want to hear more of Jared's side of
this please check out help I suck at being newlyweds
um he did speak out on this and that's why it is a headline but we have more headlines to get
to today i feel like i haven't fully said jared side yet can i say jared side sure
jared doesn't disagree with me on like the vibes okay he um he definitely is like married
to a state though he's like married to the nostalgia and the youth that he remembers from the
state. But I want to say that it's not like something we ever argue over because we both see
very much eye to eye. And interestingly, I love the geography of the state as well.
Like, I love that our beach is six minutes from our house. I'm a water girl. You know,
like I love being by the ocean. To me, it's not at all the actual state. It's just like where
the sharing of experiences are. Sure. Well, again, you've done a good job at elaborating on
your side. I think it's pretty clear on where your head stands. And if you want to hear more of
Jared's side of this, obviously, as I mentioned, Help I Suck It Being Newly Woods has this, you know,
full version from Jared's perspective on this move. It is a big headline. At least it's a big
headline here at the Almost Famous podcast because we obviously care and we're following along
with Jared and Ashley's life. But there's more headlines we have to get to today.
Sure is. A big headline kind of came out of nowhere, honestly. Not
unexpected, but out of nowhere, Bachelor Peter Weber confirms split from Kelly Flanagan
after three years of dating. This is wild. Three years of dating altogether. They have now
confirmed to split. Definitely three years on and off, but it sounds dramatic to say three years.
I'm pretty sure there was a whole year and a half off in the midst of those three years,
but it's all good. So what happened was he was doing an interview at a beauty convention in Calgary, Canada,
and the lady asked if he was single, you know, like, single looking for a future wife?
And he was like, yes, I am single.
And that was the bombshell moment where we realized that he's no longer with Kelly, which
fans have been speculating about a little bit.
They haven't been seen on social media or out and about a lot lately.
And I feel like this was kind of inevitable.
I don't think it's super shocking to a ton of us.
And that's it.
That's what we got.
My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly, and now I'm seriously suspicious.
Well, wait a minute, Sam, maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit.
Well, Dakota, it's back to school week on the OK Storytime podcast, so we'll find out soon.
This person writes, my boyfriend has been hanging out with his young professor a lot.
He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her.
Now, he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone.
Now, hold up.
Isn't that against school policy?
That sounds totally inappropriate.
Well, according to this person, this is her boyfriend's former professor, and they're the same age.
And it's even more likely that they're cheating.
He insists there's nothing between them.
I mean, do you believe him?
Well, he's certainly trying to get this person to believe him because he now wants them both to meet.
So, do we find out if this person's boyfriend really cheated with his professor or not?
To hear the explosive finale, listen to the OK Storytime podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.

The U.S. Open is here.
And on my podcast, Good Game with Sarah Span.
I'm breaking down the players from rising stars to legends chasing history, the predictions,
will we see a first time winner, and the pressure.
Billy Jean King says pressure is a privilege, you know.
Plus, the stories and events off the court, and of course the honey deuses, the signature
cocktail of the U.S. Open.
The U.S. Open has gotten to be a very fancy, wonderfully experiential sporting event.
I mean, listen, the whole aim is to be accessible and inclusive for all tennis fans,
whether you play tennis or not.
Tennis is full of compelling stories of late.
Have you heard about Icon Venus Williams' recent wildcard bids?
Or the young Canadian, Victoria Mboko, making a name for herself.
How about Naomi Osaka getting back to form?
To hear this and more, listen to Good Game with Sarah Spain,

I don't like some.
God write songs.
I take dictation.
I didn't even know you've been a pastor for over 10 years.
I think culture is any space that you live in that develops you.
On a recent episode of Culture Raises Us podcast, I sat down with Warren Campbell,
Grammy-winning producer, pastor, and music executive to talk about the beats, the business,
and the legacy behind some of the biggest names in gospel, R&B, and hip-hop.
This is like watching Michael Jackson talk about Thurley before it happened.
Was there a particular moment where you realize just how instrumental music culture
was to shaping all of our global ecosystem.
I was eight years old, and the Motown 25 special came on.
And all the great Motown artists, Marvin, Stevie Wonder, Temptations, Diana Raw.
From Mary Mary to Jennifer Hudson, we get into the soul of the music and the purpose that drives it.

next headline is this bachelor nation baby becca cooferin and thomas jacobs another huge
headline this week are expecting their first child this according to entertainment weekly
this one was surprising kelly and peter breaking up not surprising this surprising uh i don't know
why i guess like we there was just no reason to speculate that becca would have been pregnant
you know because we didn't see any change on her social media or anything like that and all of a sudden
i was like we're having a baby i was like oh my god this is so exciting a lot of followers
were a little confused on social media because she said a party of five coming september 23
and um that was including their two dogs yeah there was no twins or triplets or anything like that
coming that would be wild that would be wild but no a baby and it's really exciting and so awesome
We were just talking about Becca Kufrin before the podcast.
And I wonder, I do wonder, if this had anything to do with it.
Another headline is Ashley, take it away.
Bachelor Live has canceled all six Arizona shows in April.
What to Know About Refunds.
This is from a local news affiliate in Arizona.
It says, the 21 and Up event that features the alumni of the shows has been canceled.
No reason for the cancel.
The refunds will be given fully from Ticketmaster, but Ticketmaster listings do show that only,
I mean, are you ready for this cringe stat?
Yeah.
That only between 7% and 12% of tickets had been sold for each show at the time of the cancel.
That's not good.
You know, that was, if you remember, the very first season of Bachelor of Life on stage, I was a part of it.
It was an incredible event, and we met so many great people.
we traveled the country, but then COVID shut it down.
And I've always kind of wondered what the second season or second third, I guess, season of that would look like.
I was wondering, because I didn't see anything on social media ever posted about it.
I didn't know it was officially canceled, but it's too bad that it was because it's a great team, some great people.
Becca was an incredible host.
I knew they were going to try to bring in Andrew and some other and Rodney to help out.
We had them on the podcast to talk about it even.
but doesn't sound like it took off
that's too bad
so sad too bad
7% is really low
I mean these theaters probably hold like
300 people
so 7% of 300 is like
No I bet she was like 3,000 person
Cedar
Really? It's like a theater yeah
Okay I mean
They need you is basically
That's the thing
No they don't need
They don't need me.
They don't need me.
Yeah, I don't know.
That's crazy.
I'm surprised.
It was a fun evening.
I don't know the new concept of that show.
I don't know how it kind of changed.
When I did it, it was more of like a on-stage dating game, which was fun.
But then COVID hit, and you really couldn't have people make out on stage.
And so they had to change it quite a bit.
But, I mean, 7% of 2000 is 140 tickets.
be a very, very awkward show. It would be very intimate. They could do that in a restaurant.
That's that good. I know there's a lot of time and money and a lot of good people behind it.
Well, again, but congratulations to Becca and Thomas, because that's a big deal. And she has something
very excited to look forward to, or something very exciting to look forward to. Ashley, this week,
a show called The Goat was announced, made some headlines. There's some Bachelor
people in it.
Grocery Store Joe, which I'm still just so shocked, impressed, whatever, that he's continuing
to do what he does with his one night on The Bachelor app.
That is insane and absolutely incredible.
And Tasia Adams will be on this show, along with some love as blind stars and more reality
favorites.
Ashley, what is this show?
Who's behind it?
What can we expect?
So the show is called The Goat.
It's on Amazon's streaming service freebie.
It's hosted by Daniel Tosh.
The showrunner is Bill Dixon, who worked on the Bachelor franchise.
He was there for Winter Games for us.
He also worked on F. Boy Island and Pooch Perfect.
Both of those he did with his good friend and fellow producer, Alon Gale.
Alon does have his, I think Alon has his hand in this a little bit.
I might be speaking out of line.
Maybe it's just him support.
Bill, but I know that he posted about it on Instagram this week. So, yeah, big cast, huge cast.
We got Love is Blind, Bachelor, Big Brother, Housewives, The Challenge. And it is, it's being filmed
somewhere in Atlanta, and they're calling it Goat Manor. And I can't, I don't really understand
the premise yet, but I'm pretty sure it's just like basically all these top reality stars,
You know, the cremdala crop.
They're facing off in a new reality series to compete on who is the greatest of all reality stars.
Goodness gracious.
Something to look forward to, something to watch.
Joe and Tasia from The Bachelor World will be there.
Stay tuned for air dates of that.
But Bill is incredibly talented.
And I'm very excited for him to have this opportunity to be the showrunner on this show.
So we'll be supporting him here on the almost soon as podcast.
We'll be talking about it.
Also, Susie Evans discusses recent first date.
Yes, everybody, she went on a first date calling it.
This is wild.
Seems like it had to be very special because Susie's being pretty closed about her dating life.
She's calling it one of the best first dates ever.
Yeah, it was her first, I think it was like her first real, one of her first real dates since breaking up with Clinton.
And she said it's one of her best dates ever.
One, it started off strong because she said that she felt like she just slayed her makeup that day.
And it was a brunch date.
And she said that because of it's a brunch date, it can be kind of intimidating, especially with your makeup because the sun is out and shining on you.
There's no candlelight to soften it.
She said she was like a little bit insecure.
I mean, like, oh, my gosh, you're going to be able to see everything on my face.
She said she also wore her hair natural.
And she usually straightens or smooths out her hair per day.
She said she's really self-conscious about it.
but now she goes you know if you're gonna date me you're gonna know the natural texture of my hair
so anyway she decided to go on this date because she could tell why well first she was a little
hesitant because the guy apparently doesn't even live near her in l.a like she thought it was gonna be
a long-distance relationship why even try but she said that he seemed so gun-ho about it
most guys you know you're on the dating apps you're like she meet up then she meet up then oh
canceling this, but, you know, like, everybody just doesn't seem to be making her, even like
gorgeous Susie, like top priority. But she said, this guy seemed like he was making her priorities,
said, okay, well, even if you're not from around here, let's go out. And she said, they went out
and she felt so herself right off the bat, they even started making Taco Bell jokes to the
waitress who didn't think it was funny, but they thought it was hilarious. And she said,
she just, like, had the best vibe going on with this guy. And that's it. She says, ultimately,
Like, I don't know if this is going to be like the one, but I love that basically he put the work in and she hopes to meet a guy who also like wants to like make a relationship happen.
She just feels like a lot of guys, you know, they're just not relationship oriented these days.
She said that ideally, you know, if it's not this guy, she does like to find guys through friends so that they're like pre-vetted.
Yeah. So a little context here just to confirm, she met this guy on a dating app.
Yeah.
Okay. So it's not a part of Bachelor Nation.
No. Somebody we wouldn't know.
She said he doesn't seem into social media, which she likes.
Okay. Wow. Susie Evans coming out. She's dating. She's on the market.
Sounds like she's found somebody she's intrigued by. I'm wondering if this guy will read any of these headlines.
If he does, I wonder what he'll think.
If he reads, I want on a first, you know, Susie saying, I want on a first date is one of the best first dates ever.
If he's going to be like, oh, same for me.
Let's dive in.
Or he runs off because too much too soon.
We'll wait and see.
I hope he dives in.
She seems like a catch.
Well, Ashley, that's the big headlines today.
Obviously, we'll be staying up today with you and Jared on your considerations for the move or what you're going to do with Rhode Island.
We're celebrating Beck and Thomas and them announcing that they're expecting, also sad, for Bachelor Live on stage.
That was something I had a lot of time and effort into and I really enjoyed while I was there.
And it's too bad that it had to end.
Who knows if we'll end forever, but at least it's on a break this way.
It needs to go somewhere very bachelorette oriented, like Nashville or something.
Maybe Scott's Day was a little bit too random to have so many dates.
Maybe there was just one date that would have really worked out well.
Yeah, I'm wondering, you know, talking sticks also kind of in the middle of nowhere.
So how many people are going to go from downtown Scottsdale to talking stick?
Oh, really?
Yeah, I mean, it's a great, great spot, great golf.
But they didn't ask us to be producers, Ashley.
So my philosophy is throw it in Nashville, bring it to a honky tonk, let people date again on stage and see how it goes.
It really would make more sense because if they sold seven to 12,
for each of the days and there were six days,
you could have filled at least halfway up if you or more, you know,
if you had this one day in Scottsdale,
which was how it would have been with you on that tour.
There's ways.
Well, that's all the headlines we have for your day.
That is all we have for the almost famous podcast,
but it's not the only content we will be putting out there.
We also have an in-depth with Becca Martinez,
which is super, super fun because she obviously just announced that she is
expecting. And she talks to us about her family. Uh, it was this a shock or not, uh, what they're
looking forward to in the future. If she's married or not, she talks about that. It's pretty
interesting. Well, uh, make sure you tune in that. Until next time, I've been Ben. I'm been Ashley.
Thanks, guys. Follow the Ben and Ashley I, almost famous podcast on IHartRadio or subscribe wherever
