This is the Ben and Ashley I, Almost Famous Podcasts with IHeart Radio.
It's the Almost Famous Podcast, and we are here today to make things happen for you,
the listener, break down everything going on in The Bachelorette, Bachelor Nation.
Also with our lives, speaking of lives, how are you, Ashley?
I am very overwhelmed
Why?
We're still like, you know, in the moving process
We've only been in this house for 10 days
So I am this person and it's so bad
And I think I've said it before
Because I've moved like a zillion times
While recording this podcast
I can't get anything done
Until I get the house organized
Because you know messy house messy brain
So it's just like kind of a detriment
But it's fine
This has been such
an easy move comparably speaking to the past couple because everything has its place I've done
like the big purges and all that so it's really a matter of just putting everything in the place
it's give me a week I'll be fine who puts a go to the furniture going on who puts a go to the
furniture when you move in your house the movers oh why do you think that jared and fred did it
i mean i always have to do it and it's the most no yeah it's the most pain
painful thing because half of it's like, you know, IKEA, Wayfair, like that kind of stuff that
like has all these little parts and I'm just down screwing. And then my knees hurt. I get grumpy.
I'm tired. So that that's Jared putting together a baby item now. Now furniture, you know,
I'll usually have my father-in-law put it together. If I buy it for the house, it's not part of a move,
then I'll have him come over and do it. Jared can do it. It's just a matter of like getting
Jared to do it is a little bit too difficult because like once he gets home he just wants to
chill out which is totally understandable um yeah hey ashley you have to get a task grab it ben
that's all i can say well ashley i got a big update in my life if you uh you watched e this last
week you saw me on television yeah i wanted you to talk about that uh it's not that i mean it was
awesome right nick and i competed uh on e
Celebrity B, hosted by the one and only Joel McHale, whom a huge fan of,
who has had a spectacular comeback on his hairline.
I mean, that guy used to have no hair.
Really?
Oh, yeah, he talks about it.
Should I Google this?
Joel McHale hairline.
Yeah, you got to Google this.
But he is hilarious.
This is a fun show, and I had a really good time.
Holy damn.
No, I told you.
It's pretty crazy.
You know, it's an option out there.
Ashley, you want to hear behind the scenes of this?
I don't share often.
Yeah.
So I go out to L.A. for Celebrity Beef.
I play golf with Wells Adams and Brett Adams, his brother, the day before.
That is the day I got my hole in one.
You know what happens when you get a whole in one.
You buy the whole bar drinks.
You celebrate.
It's a big deal.
And I wanted to celebrate it.
You do the whole bar?
That's a lot.
What if you win like a really popular bar?
Oh, it's, I mean, I've been in a bar where somebody's got a hole in one and probably dropped 10,000 on drinks.
That's not fair.
It is.
It's kind of the thing.
It's like the tradition.
Well, so, like, Wells and I end up staying up until three of the morning, the night, like, at his house, just chatting, catch it up, celebrating.
We had an 8 a.m. call time.
So that show was rough on me.
But we made it through.
If you want to watch it, I'm sure it's going to have some reruns.
it was a good time.
Ashley,
thanks for texting me about it
because, you know,
I kept it kind of a secret.
But why?
I don't know.
You just don't want to talk about yourself?
I don't know.
It's just weird.
But it's fun.
It was fun.
It's good to be back in front of the cameras.
I felt like I shined.
They put the two of you head to head
because you were like back-to-back bachelors
and you were on the same seasons and all that.
Yeah, and it's part,
I actually don't know this,
but Nick is the one that asked.
And I'm assuming it's a part of his book promotion.
Like I think he's just like doing things to get out there now
because he has a book coming out in October, I believe.
Yeah.
Yeah, I think it's on October.
So I think it's part of that.
So then what did you cook?
It's a cooking show, right?
It's a surprise.
And so you walk in, you have no clue where you're cooking.
And, you know, some people had to make lasagna, I think, stuff like that.
they told us we had to make our own sausage, which I'd never made my own sausage, but, you know,
growing up, and, you know, I was a hunter growing up. And so we would, you know, harvest our own
meat and, you know, grind and make, like, summer sausage and that kind of stuff, or we'd have
somebody do it. So I was familiar with the process of what's the best way. And, and so I made a
wild boar sausage with pepper and some, uh, some cheddar cheese inside. And, uh,
Nick beat me.
Nick beat me.
And it kind of a shocking turnaround.
He was really upset, Ashley.
You saw it on the show.
He was going to make Joel his specialty pasta dish.
And we had a competition during the show.
And I won the competition.
And they said, you can steal one ingredient from Nick.
Well, in my mind, I'm like, steal his biggest best ingredient, right?
Like, don't steal, like, the basil.
You can get around, you know, basil.
So I stole the pasta.
Really threw the boy off.
I was not thrilled
Oh, that's awesome
I can't wait to watch this
I didn't set the DVR
but I need to watch it and rerun
I could go on and on about this
and the fact that Nick is a good cook
and he's really into it
but there are also times
where you'll go over to his house
for a barbecue and he's like the guy
who has like buns a piece of cheese
and the beef and like there's no toppings
and no condiments
and you're like
what's happening he made me a pizza he made me a pizza once that was one of the better homemade
pizzas i've ever had uh he's a good cook i mean i was surprised i felt like i held my own and
that was kind of surprising to me i really thought like i was going to get crushed and embarrassed
all at the same time well i'm glad you held your own thanks ash and i can't wait to see it all right
Shall we speak of this week's Bachelorette episode after this break?

What do you get when a true crime producer
walks into a comedy club?
I know it sounds like the start of a bad joke,
but that really was my reality nine years ago.
I just normally do something.
straight stand-up, but this is a bit different.
On stage stood a comedian with a story that no one expected to hear.
The 22nd of July 2015, a 23-year-old man had killed his family.
And then he came to my house.
So what do you get when a true crime producer walks into a comedy club?
A new podcast called Wisecrack, where stand-up comedy and murder.
take center stage available now listen to wisecrack on the iHeart radio app apple podcasts or wherever
you get your podcasts what would you do if one bad decision forced you to choose between a maximum
security prison or the most brutal boot camp designed to be hell on earth unfortunately for mark
lombardo this was the choice he faced he said you are a number a new york state number and we
own you. Shock incarceration, also known as boot camps, are short-term, highly regimented
correctional programs that mimic military basic training. These programs aimed to provide a shock
of prison life, emphasizing strict discipline, physical training, hard labor, and rehabilitation
programs. Mark had one chance to complete this program and had no idea of the hell awaiting
him the next six months. The first night was so overwhelming. And,
And you don't know who's next to you.
And we didn't know what to expect in the morning.
Nobody tells you anything.

This week's Bachelor at episode, it's getting down to the nitty gritty.
I think that's what the kids say these days.
The nitty gritty meaning hometown is next week.
And Ashley, we're going to Amsterdam.
A place that I've always been intrigued by because I have never heard of anybody going to Amsterdam and not falling in love with it.
No matter from what perspective.
I know people think of Amsterdam and they think of crazy times, which the show kind of highlighted.
But the beauty and the culture and the coffee shops and the food, like everybody loves Amsterdam.
Proud to be 50% Dutch.
There we go.
How did you find that out, Ashley?
Oh, 23 and me.
Actually, I just know because my grandparents came from Holland.
But yeah, also 23 and me with the confirmation.
There we go.
If you haven't listened yet, we had a game show recorded from this podcast, sponsored by 23 and me.
It's Jeopardy.
It's hilarious.
Ashley was so into it.
It was so late at night.
And yet everybody woke up to play this game.
Okay.
Ashley, we are getting down to the final few.
They are in Amsterdam.
the first date cards get released.
The date card goes to Zach for a one-on-one.
And I want to stop there with you
before I talk about Gabby's one-on-one.
Ashley, I get that every year we have going in this week,
somebody going into hometowns without a one-on-ones
who are like, are they going to get the one-on-one or not?
And then if they don't get it, we know they're going home.
However, with Zach getting the two one-on-ones,
you've got to tell me if I'm wrong.
I don't think Tyler has had a one-on-one yet.
And this might be the first time I can remember,
somebody going to hometowns
without actually having any one-on-one time with the lead.
I think it is a bachelor first.
How are you supposed to sit down with your family, Ashley?
And they're like, tell us about your time together.
Tell us about...
So weird.
And you're like, yeah, we actually haven't ever, like, had time together.
Like, I feel her and Tyler.
Like, I get it.
They're really cute.
I can see them dating.
But, like, to have a hometown date, that's so bizarre.
By hometown dates, like, most people usually have, like, two-one-1-1-1-ons in a standard season.
Yeah.
I mean, I had one.
But then I didn't even make it to hometowns because of the weirdness of our season.
We, I left and only three people had hometown.
So I never even had a home town.
Your season was also.
quite, yeah, unconventional
because Jared was supposed to go to
home towns too and he never did. And God,
was that a waste
to not have Nancy and Fred Haven
on TV? Well, it would have
been awesome. It would have been
hilarious. Yeah.
That would have been really great. I would have really
enjoyed that because I do know them. I've met him
now a few times. It would have been awesome.
People would have been like, where did Jared
come from? Because they like walk in
like, they're just so like
that are a huge Boston accents.
And then Jared has like no dialect.
Anyway, blah, blah, blah.
Okay, yeah.
And then with Gabby, she, I know we're kind of backtracking.
She does, she's had a date with all the guys that she's taking to hometown.
But that's because she literally was like, Jesse, can we take away a rose?
Which made total sense.
Sure.
If, if Logan were to stick around, though, she may have brought Logan to hometowns,
which is also super weird.
That's speculative.
him. I mean, now at this point, he's had, what, two weeks? He'd have one group date with Gabby
before going to hometowns. I think Logan was gone this week, no matter what. I didn't see it
working, but maybe he wasn't. He probably was. I just want to say, I think it was off. Like I do.
I find this weird as a weird choice because I do know how that process works and you do get to
pick your one-on-ones. Now, sometimes,
you are a little confused at how these episodes are lining up.
So you're like, I want to bring this person on a one-on-one.
And then next week you're like, yeah, let's bring this person.
They're like, you brought her last week on the last episode.
And you're like, no, that was two weeks.
You get confused.
Yeah.
And the show will help, like, be like, no, you can't do that.
It's going to send a bad message or this.
But I feel like this had to be a conscious decision to say, sorry, Tyler, I still like you.
but I want to spend more time with Zach.
So in my mind, I think Tyler's going home during hometowns.
Like, now it's not even a question to me.
Now, I know I'm jumping ahead so far.
Then why even go to his hometown?
That's what I'm wondering.
I wanted you to explain this to me.
I don't have an explanation.
I feel like you're more senior in this than I am.
You've experienced them on your season, your last year season.
I would just be worried.
Hometowns were really hard for me because it's somebody's daughter.
and you're like asking them permission to like in the most unconventional way and it's just
awkward the whole time some families are really nice about it and they totally like get what's going
on but other families are like pretty protective but every single family has the right
and the opportunity to like quiz us on hey where's your relationship at what have you guys
experienced together why do you feel like each other work i can't imagine answering that question
when i'm like yeah we've never spent time together i mean we did cocktail
parties. Like we've had a few kisses, but like you can't, I don't know. Anyways, we can move on
from this. No, seriously, that's as if I went home or Crystal's came to my house. Because I was
one week, there was one week in between me getting eliminated in hometowns. And that would have
been the weirdest thing ever. I mean, hilarious and amazing, but also super strange.
Super weird. So, okay, so that's where we sit now. Zach gets a one-on-one. As Ashley mentioned,
Nate gets a one-on-one. Tyler, to this point,
does not have a one-on-one.
And Zach has his second, so does Nate.
And Ethan has ever had one.
Ethan has never had one up to this point either.
So it's got to be kind of crushing for the two of them.
Now, let's start, because it's kind of in order of how we saw it in the show, of Gabby's one-on-one now with Nate.
It doesn't last long, but probably the most, it was the most engaged I was through this whole episode.
Was that day?
Same, same.
Okay.
Same, same, same.
Walk us through it.
Well, they're just basically taking a stroll throughout Amsterdam.
And Gabby does make a comment.
I don't know if it was at the top of their date in the middle of the date.
Well, she basically broke up with them in the middle of the date.
But she made a comment as far as, like, she's not ready for motherhood.
Totally respectable.
Get it.
You kind of know where it's going as of that comment.
But, like, it just came on really quick.
And I think we were connecting.
I don't know if it was like intentional editing or whatnot, but I was really connecting
to Nate in that moment where I was like, oh, my God, this guy is so sweet.
Wait, I kind of want her to end up with him.
I think that he is my favorite on her team.
And then all of a sudden, boom, gone.
Did you feel the same?
Ashley, I have a problem.
What?
You, like, are actually quite sad about this now?
Because I, so, I'm so sad.
I wasn't really, I thought he was a sweet kid.
but like what didn't really have this i wasn't rooting for him and now in that moment i was
rooting for him and all of a sudden i got no one to root for gabby anymore i uh i like
twitter the the founder of the show mike flies had been tweeting about uh nate over the last
week because some rumors came out about him dating two people at once i never looked into the
rumors because uh i i don't know i don't it just
always too much but i did see that these rumors got posted and then mike came out to his defense
and it was pretty clear through the tweets that mike was tweeting that like nate is in
consideration to be the next bachelor like it was very obvious to me uh and i think to most people
and so i already knew Nate was gone and i don't like spoilers i try to stay away from them this
was just a random one on twitter okay and so i knew he was gone i was expecting this and so i wasn't
like cheering for him
over the last two episodes
because I figured he was just out of there
like it wasn't somebody to cheer for for me
Oh
This is what happens when like I do not hit the internet
Yeah
Twitter verse
So that's my scenario
So that's my perspective
Okay
But watching this
Take every all that of stuff away
Yeah
I cheered for the guy
And I felt for Gabby
You know Amanda Stant was on my season
And she had two kids
And I had to ask myself
The question of am I ready to be
dad. And I think at the time, I wasn't ready to say I wasn't. Like, that was more of my mindset.
It's like, who am I as a person to say that I'm not ready to do this? Like, that is a
responsibility. I feel like I want to have in life that I could do in life. And if I really
care about this person, then I'm dating, then yeah, we could do it together. But it's a really
hard thing as you're on this show and it moves so fast and there's so many things to consider.
Then all of a sudden, like, reality hits you and you're like, when I get off this, I could be a parent.
it gets hard. And so I felt for Gabby because I think she really likes Nate. And I really,
I really liked her honesty in this moment where she was just saying, I'm not in this place in life.
And I want to be because I like you and I don't want to say goodbye to you. But I have a lot of
things to do on my own, like healing and learning before I feel comfortable with being a mother.
I think she would be fine, right? All of us are sitting and going, Gabby, like you're going to be a great mom.
You're going to be a great program. She's obviously coming from a different place.
than a lot of us.
Yes.
She's like very wounded.
But I liked her.
I can't even say I liked it.
That feels so cheap.
I just respected her honesty.
True emotion.
Definitely.
Definitely.
I respected her honesty.
And so I felt for her.
And Nate, I mean, yeah, I think he cares about it.
I think he was excited for this date and excited to see where the future lies.
But I also have a feeling that as a parent going on to the show, you're prepared.
to have this said to you.
Like, you know this is a part of the package.
And as he said early on, if she's not, like, ready, I get it.
Like, it still might hurt, but he handled it really well.
Because I think he...
I think he had thought through this before it happened, like, knew this was something that could occur.
Yeah.
I feel like, I just like...
I like the way that I felt, like, as if this girl is not giving excuses.
No.
She really truly wants him being here.
She is growing more attached to him all the time.
Because I think a lot of people usually, like, they'll say something like that, you know.
It's this.
Like, we're not in the right place.
We're on the same place.
It's not me.
You know, she said it's not you.
It's me.
And she goes, and I genuinely mean this.
And I really, really believe her.
I don't think she wanted to do it.
I think she just thought, like, going into hometowns, it's going to become really real.
he's a dad and it's just best to let him go,
especially since he's probably been away from his daughter for so long.
It's a bummer.
It's a bummer because I'm so confused where this whole series is and is leading.
How are we at hometowns and I feel like there's no one ready to get engaged?
Well, are we going to get more time?
Because, like, you know how this has been sped up?
I think so.
Because of the groups, because this would have been.
week top eight basically so then we would have still had another week in between hometowns a week
or two we'll have more weeks at the end we have to yeah we have to right and then we're really
going to start feeling these connections because they'll have spent so much more time together
than your average season yeah but right now it feels weird it feels it feels it feels we i still feel
distant from the cast except a select few but this moment for for gabbynate really brought me in
which made me excited for the next date which was rachel and zacks because as we mentioned weeks ago
i really liked their first one-on-one i thought that video was was cool it would have made me all
teary-eyed and it'd been very emotional uh so they have their second one-on-one uh and the beautiful
what is it a daisy is it daisies tulips tulips with the wooden shoes with the wooden
The windmills.
Beautiful date.
I just,
Ashley, maybe I'll,
let's rub people the wrong way.
I don't feel their,
their connection.
Me neither.
Okay.
Thank you.
Okay.
I feel it,
but not to this point.
Like,
if I think it was like a normal season,
watching a date like this,
I'd be like,
okay, this guy's probably top six,
top eight.
Yeah.
I just don't have,
I mean,
I think he's a nice dude.
I like them together, I just don't, when I watch them, it just feels kind of like awkward a
little bit.
Like they don't know, they don't have like a rhythm yet in their relationship that I feel like
at this point you would already have, especially if the two or ones.
He says that he's falling in love with her and I am super not to keep saying the word weirded
out, but I'm pretty weirded out.
Like I would be like, holy moly.
This is really fast if I were her.
Yeah. I just wonder, because there's a lot of emotions that are starting to come up this episode for a few people. I don't know if it's the amount of people left, if it's the time spent, if it's the environment, whatever it is, it feels like this is, we always have that week where people start dropping the love bombs.
Yeah. And this felt like the week where people feel like... It's usually before hometowns, but this just doesn't feel right because we've had so much little time before hometowns.
Yeah, but Zach gets the, uh, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, there. But we have anything else that you'd like to elaborate on from this date other than, it is beautiful there. I would love to visit there. Uh, uh, I don't know if their connection is as strong as warranting two one-on-ones, but, anything else.
I feel like, like, right now, I'd put Tyler even ahead of him.
Yeah, I think that's fair.
so he's had two dates and he's had zero so would you would you think next week then
tyler goes home or is that i don't know maybe the big win on tyler's part when he gets
when he goes home like maybe she loves his family and the vibes there yeah but i don't think
zack goes home i don't know i'm actually extremely confused when i look when i stand back and
look at all four guys that rachel has because avin is a really good choice too and i'm
Even leaving Tino out of this conversation, because in my head, he's already top two.
Yeah, I think that's fair.
I mean, I think, I don't know.
We'll talk about Tino here in a bit.
Yeah, yeah, me too.
Red flags.
Yeah.
Okay.
So Gabby, then, next scene is Gabby's group date.
She had just the night before gone in and talked to the boys about Nate.
She was obviously upset.
So this is a big group date to kind of get her back on her feet, back out into the time with the men left.
this group day as the men said this would have been my worst nightmare actually um i mean i just
literally said i was celibate you know up until i got married to my with dating my wife
that be asked these questions have a whip and like i would have been so uncomfortable
this is the day that everybody has fun watching and nobody does not want to be on like i enjoyed
watching this and trying to figure out what they were saying between the beeps
Yeah.
And, like, trying to guess how many girls that Johnny's actually slept with and all this stuff.
Some people are saying that the franchise is getting a little bit more sexual because of the competition shows, like Love Island, which is really raunchy.
Okay.
This maybe was a demonstration of that.
And The Bachelor in Paradise poster, do you see the tagline, basically?
Yeah, it's a lot.
It says, are you DTF?
Mm-hmm.
With the two swans on top of each other, I was really...
I think the swans are hugging.
I think they're hugging.
But that's fine.
Oh, they're hugging the swans.
Yeah.
Okay.
The flamingos, whatever they are.
Oh, yeah, flamingos, sorry.
Okay.
But, no, this is, it was funny to watch.
I do, though, like, no matter what your preferences or values are, you know, sexually,
I thought these guys handled themselves really.
well and they kind of rode with it which i feel like it's the best way um a lot of laughs a lot of giggles
it's weird to watch though like because i still watch this show feeling like i'm watching my
friends and i don't really want to see my friends like do this kind of stuff but i i didn't hate
this date yeah me neither you know how we feel we like oftentimes are like oh my god why
they do that like when Kenny and Mari had that eating off each other day and then there was
the toe and the whipped cream last year and we were just like no gross stop this is not necessary
but this was actually quite fun for me yeah no I think there was a good line and I thought this was
an enjoyable group date to watch I wouldn't want to be a part of it I don't necessarily think the
kids should be viewing this, but it's, you know, it is what it is. I thought the guys wrote
with it. So it does pick up Gabby's spirits. And then after this group date, Jesse comes to find
Gabby to tell her that Logan has gotten COVID-19. Now, we don't need to sit on this too long because
it's all going to be speculation. But if he had COVID and he was on this group date, I
I have two questions.
Where did he get COVID?
And then how did not everybody with, like,
how are they not freaking out
that every single cast member
is going to be getting COVID?
I'm assuming that he must have,
I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't know.
Where would he have gotten it?
And how did it not spread to the other guys
that he was living in such close quarters to?
Yeah, I mean, those, those,
I'm telling you right now where the guys live
is probably not the most sanitary, hygienic, clean environment.
It smells a little funky.
You're always sitting around with each other.
You know, you're having drinks.
You're doing whatever.
I don't know how nobody else didn't get, didn't test positive.
And I also don't understand how they were able to just continue to move forward.
I mean, that's what I'm saying.
I don't know.
Like, they didn't give us a lot to this other than the fact that he got it and had to go home.
We will have to have Logan on the podcast and ask him more questions.
questions about this anybody i mean jesse logan a producer rachel gabby like we just got to know
what happened but he's gone here's my day but like does he ever say like does jesse ever tell her
he's gone and he will be staying gone he didn't they didn't say like he're just going to keep him in
the cabin for five days well yeah they didn't say a lot but here's my here's my take and
disagree with me i'm watching this as a viewer again speculation it didn't seem like
Gabby was too upset.
Like, she didn't seem torn up that, like, Logan was not going to be there, which makes
me think he was gone this week.
Anyways.
What do you think?
He was probably going to be gone.
Okay.
And, you know, I have a theory here.
Okay.
Possibly he was, they, like, you know, they still have to test the cast, like, all day
long, all the time.
They still, I think, take the test the cast, like, every day, which is insane.
Oh, geez.
so maybe there is like a false positive
and they're just like you're out
yeah and we're not risking it
and then who knows what happened
they send them to the mainland off
off the cruise yeah fair
fair enough well we'll see we'll have to ask
so the next we have Rachel's group date
a really fun group date
they're in the cheese capital
of the world
I loved Ethan being lactose intolerant
because so many people are
and so it was a hilarious quote.
He was so cute when he said that.
I loved it.
And by the way, Holland is known for its Gouda.
So it looked kind of like Gouda.
So that was a great date too.
That was awesome.
These are group dates I can get into.
Yeah.
So I would say, Ashley, we've been critical of the dates in the past.
I would say so far the group dates during this season have been really fun.
For the most part, there's some weird ones, right?
We haven't seen a ton of wedding gown outfits.
and stuff, which is always the most awkward to me.
But this, the group days have that one photo shoot.
The one photo shoot we could do without.
We could do without it.
But this is a cool one.
They're highlighting the cheese, the culture of the area, which is what we want to see.
It's why they travel internationally so that we can see the area a little bit.
They got creative when it came to the kind of weightlifting game or competition that they did.
Tino pulls it out at the end.
It was a hard-fought battle.
Ethan was there until the end.
I, you know, these dudes are really strong.
And I have a feeling that lasted a really long time.
I would say like an hour and a half.
They were probably...
No, you're so lying.
Are you kidding me?
No, I think it took a long time.
No, I probably took a...
I think it took a long time.
I mean, how much was that cheese?
Like 100 pounds?
I don't know.
I don't remember the poundage.
But if we,
like,
let's pretend each one weighed 20 pounds.
That's,
and it was like up to how many on each side,
like four?
Yeah.
I feel that's 80 pounds on each side.
After 10 minutes.
Yeah, it might be,
you might be right.
Yeah.
That'd be a long time.
That's a long time.
It was sweaty.
It was hot.
It was uncomfortable.
But they pulled it through.
Tino pulled it through.
And this is where the second most interesting
part of the show occurs to me.
For sure, for sure.
We go to the group date
a cocktail party.
It's normal group date cocktail party.
Everybody's kind of saying
what they feel and they think
and there's kissing and there's laughing.
It's like blah, blah, blah, blah.
Yeah, this is where I kind of get a little dazed out.
Yeah.
And then we get to the end
and Tyler gets the rose.
And I, he's a friend of mine.
So I feel like...
Tyler? No, no, no.
I feel like I can say this next statement.
Tino has a Sean Booth moment
where it feels like
he loses
his cool
and it also
and again
I think
I still think Tino and Rachel
can make a good couple and I
like Tino
but this was a moment where it felt a little bit
like you've lost yourself in this process
why do you feel like
you deserve the rose
again like
I mean we know from social
that Tino's watches the show with his family.
Yeah, that's right.
I heard that this week, too, that, like, he would idolize Tyler Cameron.
Yeah, because he's a construction worker and stuff.
But he makes some statements during this, like, I hit all the notes, right?
Like, he had a checklist of things he had to do.
Which, you know, last season, we got really mad at a guy for having a checklist on what's the right
and wrong things to do.
We kicked them off the show week one or two or whatever it was.
Yeah.
for having a playbook that was weird and then it felt um it felt like he had never seen the show
like he had to have known that other people are going to get a group date rose and it has nothing
to be said about where your relationships at it's just part of the process i think this is a moment
lots of things but to answer this think it was a moment where he truly just got wrapped up in the
moment yeah and even i even i as somebody who watched the show
for five years before I was on it,
there was a group date that I'm particularly remembering
that I was just like, what?
Just like not really remembering that like a lot of this is
not like gameplay, but like you, you spread it out.
You spread the wealth here.
You have to.
Yeah.
You have to.
Okay, so there's that.
Like, I think he just kind of got lost in it even as a fan.
But I, there's a difference between Sean, me watching Sean,
on on you that season versus me watching tino and everybody knows i'm like so i've i've been such
a fan of tino i'm just so drawn whenever the two of them are together i find tino like he like
let's i'll just say the way it is tino is very much my type yeah so like if he if i were the
bachelorette i'd be like holy molly this man is so hot and he's suave right yeah and this is
the difference between what I saw between Sean and Tino right now.
And this is me saying it as somebody who's been rooting on for Tino.
Sean, it felt like he was in love.
And he was in the leading man role.
And that was my girl.
Blah, blah, blah.
To me, the vibes that I'm getting from Tino in this moment is he's an F boy.
This is an F boy that is not getting his way,
that is apparently not getting the girl's attention
fully, and he is shocked by that.
Well, I think you can see it two ways.
It has to be one of two ways.
Either he is in the Sean Booth moment where he is in love and he's just not saying it yet.
And so he's freaking out like, this is my girl and I have to see this happen.
Or his mind is in a totally different place.
It's one of the two, I think.
I mean, I don't think you have this reaction unless you feel strongly one way or another.
I know.
It just feels like he's the guy that wants to win, win, win.
I think it's a competition for him right now.
That's just how I feel because with Sean, he, like, alluded this warmth.
I think he's a great comparison, which is why I keep bringing it back.
He was, like, alluding this warm, like, that's my girl, that's my girl.
And then, like, with Tino, whether it's word choice or just overall, me getting Pisces vibes, like, me vibe in him, I just, it's not coming across to me as romantic jealousy.
It's just competitive, like, I am a man and I must win her type jealousy.
yeah i don't i mean there there is i can't disagree with you i will say i expect this to turn for him
oh i don't you don't no i think it's the beginning of the end oh that would be awful i have this
theory now and i'm not spoiled at all guys but my theory is that she has banked on it being him the
entire time and some and she sees more and more of what we saw and then she gets down to the end and
she doesn't she can't do it oh boy oh boy okay well it's a storyline to follow i cannot believe
i cannot believe that being the scenario that plays out but i now get it like i get where you're
coming from uh Ashley we have the Tina moment which leads us into the rose ceremony
Nothing fully shocking here to me.
Obviously, Ethan is going home and also Spencer goes home.
I mean, the most obvious of things.
I mean, I don't even know if I heard Spencer talk yet this season.
No, I don't know Spencer at all.
Am I crazy?
No, Spencer had like a little group date moment a couple weeks ago, but that was it.
And Ethan seems awesome.
Like, I would really like to see him in Paradise.
He's fun.
And I just want to say with Tino, like, I'm still hoping this happens because I feel like the chemistry is off the charts.
Yeah.
But I'm sorry to go back to that.
But I also feel like can Tino kind of like have chemistry with like any girl?
Like I feel like he can just have, like he alludes that, that essence of that's those that F boy is, right?
You can make every girl feel like the only girl in the room for like a night.
Oh.
Oh, is that a songline?
No.
Thank you.
I thought you were just quoting a song.
No.
I'm still rooting for them, and I hope I'm totally wrong.
I really hope I'm wrong.
And if Teno, if you get wind of this, like, I'm rooting for you.
We're all rooting for you.
So better pull through.
Step it up, buddy.
Step it up.
Yeah.
All right.
That's the breakdown of this week's episode.
We're moving on to hometowns.
Gabby and Rachel will be both doing hometowns separately, obviously, with their chosen men.

What do you get when a true crime producer walks into a comedy club? I know it sounds like
the start of a bad joke, but that really was my reality nine years ago.
I just normally do straight stand-up, but this is a bit different.
On stage stood a comedian with a story that no one
expected to hear.
The 22nd of July 2015, a 23-year-old man had killed his family.
And then he came to my house.
So what do you get when a true crime producer walks into a comedy club?

What would you do if one bad decision forced you to choose between a maximum security prison
or the most brutal boot camp designed to be hell on earth?
Unfortunately for Mark Lombardo, this was the choice he faced.
He said, you are a number, a New York state number, and we own you.
Shock incarceration, also known as boot camps, are short-term, highly regimented correctional
programs that mimic military basic training.
These programs aim to provide a shock of prison life,
emphasizing strict discipline, physical training, hard labor, and rehabilitation programs.
Mark had one chance to complete this program and had no idea of the hell awaiting him the next six months.
The first night was so overwhelming, and you don't know who's next to you.
And we didn't know what to expect in the morning.
Nobody tells you anything.

Ashley, we got Bachelor Headlines. Let's jump into it. Here is the first Bachelor headline.
Caitlin Bristow says she and Jason Tartick are struggling with wedding planning. We're so different. This according to us weekly. Now, Ashley,
before you start, I do want to say that Caitlin Bristow did come on Instagram today and speak more
about what she said here. They did not push back their wedding because they never had a date
for their wedding. They're having a hard time finding a venue that they both agree upon and
they both really like. And so they're working through that right now. But according to this
article, tell us what's going on. Also, according to Jason when we were in Tahoe, it seems like
it's not just the actual venue that there's a little debate on.
There's also just like what state it'll be in.
Yeah.
So basically Jason wants an over-the-top, grandiose wedding.
And Caitlin could probably have it.
She'd rather it be a little bit more intimate.
She just says different styles, over taste.
It's like everything, they almost don't agree on when it comes to wedding planning
and it's really frustrating.
She says, like, she'll find a venue and love it.
and it's open available and then it's just like he's like no not at all and they wanted to get
and they wanted to get married this coming new year's eve and like while she says that is still
could could happen it would really only happen if he'd be like down to have a courthouse like
backyard style wedding and that is just like not what he wants so that is a prediction this is a
predicament but there's not trouble in paradise according to two of them they seem very good
and happy.
It's just
weddings are hard
to figure out
and once you do
it's a lot of fun
but they're not
pushing back
their wedding
as some reports
have said
they just never
had a date
so they're trying
to figure it out
well speaking
of Bachelor Nation
couples
this one is shocking
to me
this one's shocking
shocking
absolutely shocking
because of the
things said
about each other
and because of
how it felt like
it ended
but here's the
headline Ashley
Bachelor Nation's
Peter Weber
and Kelly Flanagan
spotted together
nearly two years
after breakup.
This is according to E.
Holy moly.
It's been two years.
That can't be two years.
Either way, this is all so shocking because, yes, they have kind of thrown jabs at each other,
lots of shade since their breakup, and now they've been spotted.
And it's not like they've been spotted like some big bachelor hang.
It seems like they've been spotted one on one with each other in Chicago.
They were at a Chicago Cubs game on August 10th.
Go Cubs.
And basically they were photographed together, like walking the stadium.
And there was even somebody who asked for a picture.
And the two of them took a picture with this person.
And it's been uploaded online.
Now, neither person's rep has commented to E-News.
They have reps.
Yeah, I know, right?
Who's my rep?
I don't have a rep.
I need a rep.
I mean, I have an agent, but do I have a rep?
No, I don't have a PR person.
I need somebody speak for me.
That'd be nice.
You know why you don't have one?
Because you speak just fine for yourself.
Thank you, Ashley.
You're welcome.
I've only gotten myself into trouble a handful of times.
Speaking of trouble,
Nick Vile thinks Rachel is prioritizing all the wrong things.
He quotes,
this is not a popularity contest, according to people.
Hmm.
Okay.
So he said, I honestly think Rachel, she seems great,
but I think she's prioritizing all the wrong things right now.
She said that her focus, he said, you know,
you go on to dating apps and you're swiping right,
and that indicates interest.
And every time you swipe right and you don't get an immediate match,
there's like a sense of rejection.
Okay, I understand that.
He goes, and oftentimes will focus on the rejection
rather than the connections that we're making.
And it seems like that is what Rachel is focused on right now.
He also talked a little bit about the connection with Tino.
And he says that he continues to be extremely vulnerable.
Even when it's really hard,
he also feels like Rachel would benefit from viewing rejection in the future
as clarity.
rather than disappointment.
Because at the end of the day, it's not a popularity contest.
It's not about finding 10 guys that you're into or five guys you're into.
It's about finding one person.
And this is some classic Nick advice where I'm like, yeah, I'm not in my head.
I'm like, yeah, you're right.
You're right, you're right.
But also, Nick's advice is always really hard to take.
It's really hard to be the person that is the subject of Nick's advice.
Because he doesn't sugarcoat it.
He does say it how it is a lot.
And there's a lot of truth in what he's saying right now.
But he's also, like, looking at it very logically and not taking, like, a lot of, like, heart and emotion into it.
I can't disagree with him.
I just, uh...
Yeah, you can't disagree with them.
He's right here.
He's right in a sense.
I would say I don't know where Rachel's thinking.
And I get that, like, your confidence does get shot a little bit, too.
Like, I don't want to dismiss the fact that, like, yeah, she's just, she's just hurting.
Like, it's a weird environment.
There's a lot going on.
That's what I mean.
Like, there's a lot of emotion going on, and this is such a logical comment, and it's just hard to...
It's hard to be logical during the Bachelor.
I mean, it's just hard.
There's a thousand things getting thrown at you.
And then, yeah, you throw in another, you know, Bachelor at Lead and...
Yeah, it's hard to be logical in love.
There's another...
Music quote.
There you go.
Hey, Ashley, big news in Bachelor Nation.
Hannah Ann Slewis and boyfriend introduced new member of their family.
Meet our newest edition, Dash.
Their puppy.
Very cute.
Oh, big deal.
Celebrate that, right?
Big deal, because if you're getting a pet together, that means you've got to be in it for the long haul.
Mm, in it for the long haul.
Okay, final headline of this week is the one that I kind of teased earlier.
Bachelorette star Nate Mitchell
responds to claims he two-timed women
Now this is what Mike Fleiss was tweeting about
We can talk about it now
Because Nate is obviously off the show
And Mike Fleiss's tweets were very obvious
That they're at least considering him to be the next lead
And I think that's just a given now
He wouldn't have been defensive over him
Or cared at all what the public thought of
Unless he was being considered
No, exactly. So Ashley, what's going
on here. Can you now explain this to me? Because I don't get it. So he said, this is what Nate said
on Instagram. He said two sides to every story. Prayer hands or high five hands, whatever you
interpreted it us. Do you think it's high five hands or do you think it's prayer hands?
Prayer hands. I'm a Christian. I think it's a prayer hands too. Some people think that's high five hands.
I don't know. I mean, I just, I feel like every Christian text message of mom.
like if it's like a church text message like those are like used so often like people just must
be praying all the time about the most random stuff well earlier i said can we move the podcast back
10 minutes prayer hands so you know you know where i stand okay anyway so he goes two sides to
every story wish you the best um and then a fan asked why you playing girls and that is basically all
we get?
I mean,
this is a kind of
a reality Steve thing.
So this girl
claimed to reality Steve
that Nate
had two-timed her with a woman.
This is Kelsey
claiming that he
was two-timing her with a woman named
Laurie.
And
she shared direct messages
that led her to believe
that Nate was being unfaithful.
And then she said to reality, Steve,
I wish Nate all the best.
I don't want to affect his future,
but it's important for me
to try and prevent another girl
from being blindsided by his secrecy's.
So this woman previously alleged
that Nate hid his daughter from her,
though he proudly spoke about his role as father.
you know, on the one-on-one date.
And that's what we got here.
Okay, so.
So, you know, you know, you know.
Yeah, I mean, there's no, like, there's no follow-up to this other than, hey, I don't
know if it's real.
I don't know if it's true.
I mean, I would assume that, you know, there's something to it because Nate said there's
two sides every story.
He didn't say, I don't even know this person.
But we don't know the other side.
We don't know the other side, right?
There's two sides every story.
Great.
We just don't know the other side.
But it is, I mean, I think one of the interesting things that came from this was that, you know, Mike Flies really went out and protected Nate.
I mean...
Yeah.
So the girl, what's her name?
Kelsey, she said that she cried for a guy who kept his kid a secret from me for one and a half years when we were dating and I found out on reality TV.
So I guess, I wonder, one half years.
Okay, so this gives us a little more context.
They were together for a year and a half.
Yeah.
Now, she said she, he hid the kid, kept the kid a secret.
At first, I was thinking like, oh, he never wanted her to meet the daughter that I can understand.
You know, maybe that he really wanted the girl, the daughter, to only meet people he was super serious about.
Maybe he wasn't super serious by this girl.
But to say that she didn't, she didn't even know that he had a kid.
It's wild.
until she found out on reality TV.
That's, that's, that is wild.
I don't know why you'd make this up.
No, that's shocking.
That would be, uh, that'd be an interesting Monday night when you're like, oh, there's my
ex.
Oh, whoa.
My ex has a, I don't know how five year old or whatever, but, uh, anyways, I don't
even know if it's a story to follow.
I don't know where it goes.
I don't know if it's over.
I don't know what happens, but it's out there.
And that happened this week.
Uh, that's all we have for you today on the almost famous podcast.
