Maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit. Well, Dakota, luckily, it's back to school week on the OK Storytime podcast, so we'll find out soon. This person writes, my boyfriend's been hanging out with his young professor a lot. He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her. Now he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone.
Starting point is 00:00:25 Now, hold up. Isn't that against school policy? That seems inappropriate. Maybe find out how it ends by listening to the OK Storytime podcast and the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hi, my name is Enya Umanzor. And I'm Drew Phillips. He never thought he was going to get caught. And I just looked at my computer screen. I was just like, ah, gotcha. This technology is already solving so many cases. Listen to America's Crime Lab on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

Starting point is 00:02:13 Sandra's here with me. And I'm so excited because we were right next to each other in the wedding. So I want to hear all the details about last night. But thanks for being here. Oh, you're so welcome. I'd have been. heard if I was not asked to speak with you. Of course we have you on the pod. Okay, so tell me how are you doing. Did you have so much fun last night? Oh yeah, I had too much fun.
Starting point is 00:02:39 Because, you know, I'm not sure I'll remember this morning, but I need a nap. I know. Same. I have not gotten a lot of sleep. We were just talking about the Bachelorette bags. Oh, yeah. Yeah, the bags that you get under your eyes because you get no sleep. No, no, these aren't bags.
Starting point is 00:02:55 these are, um, they're here to stay. This is, this season's gift of, you know, traveling and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, all that stuff. But, you know, there's way more positives, including, the, uh, the person who was sitting next to you. Tell me all about this. My escort. Well, you know, uh, he was part of the Bachelorette party.
Starting point is 00:03:22 Okay. Entertainment. Yes. And apparently. we and I got happy together. And so I guess the producers are the powers that be decided he should be my date for the evening. For real. Like, I didn't know this.
Starting point is 00:03:36 Well, I didn't know it until yesterday either, so okay, literally. So, but I embraced it, you know. Yes, as you should. And then I found out that I got to talk to J.P. about him, to Jesse Palmer, about my comedy. Okay, yes, got it. About him. And so, you know, I was happy to point out his physical attributes.
Starting point is 00:03:55 How could I not? For anyone who has not seen it, tell us where your gentleman escort comes from. Like, what does he do for his career? He is a Chippendale dancer. Okay. So now you know what I'm talking about. He's from Brazil. So good looking.
Starting point is 00:04:14 And you know what? Really a nice guy. Oh, good. He really got a chance to talk, not just touch. And really a nice young man. Okay. I really like to. his attire last night. He was wearing... What a tire. I was just going to say, well, he didn't really
Starting point is 00:04:29 have a tire. He had a tie on. Yeah, tie and a jacket. Right. But no shirt, obviously. And you know, when I told him what we were going to be chatting about, I said, you're going to have to unbutton your coat, okay? He said, oh, okay. It was buttoned before that? Oh, yeah. Well, it was chilly, so he had buttoned up. So we're on a mission here, so you're going to have to unbuttoned And so he said, okay. You know what? He was great to work with. That's fun.
Starting point is 00:04:55 Yeah, he had a good time. So I haven't gotten to see the show because clearly we were part of it. Correct. And I assume they'll show the Bachelorette Party as part of the package of the show, right? I hear they really did. Oh, okay. So tell me about it. Like what happened on the show.
Starting point is 00:05:14 Well, I can tell you what I experienced while we were doing it, but I don't know what they broadcast. True. Okay, right. What they edited in. right so um the bachelor's party we had you know the gift opening we had um i remember the food it was very good but then the surprise where was it oh i don't know somewhere up in california oh yeah yeah yeah you know in the gorgeous hills overlooking the overlookers okay and um it was um a beautiful place um so the surprise was the chippendale dancers although if we thought about it we realized oh yeah
Starting point is 00:05:48 Every Bachelorette party has chip, you know, the cop that comes and disrobes. Yeah. So we had these dancers and they performed for us. And then we had to engage with them. You had to. Well, yeah. I remember I was kind of sitting back being a little conservative in Parisa when the handler says, Sondra, come on, get in this now.
Starting point is 00:06:09 I said, oh, okay. So I picked up a bow and kind of roped him in. And I'm not sure what I did after that. I have no idea. Because there was alcohol or you just black out. Well, I don't drink so, but. Got it. Yeah, but I, you know, I did the, I did the Chippendale thing.
Starting point is 00:06:24 I touched him. Amazing. And was it just you participating or others? No, no, no. There were four dancers and there were five, five in the party. Five of us in the party. Okay. And so, there was plenty of flesh to share.
Starting point is 00:06:39 Plenty of. Yeah, there was. Did you get his number? I actually do have. We've been texting. That's terrible. You know what? Again, sweet young man.
Starting point is 00:06:50 Yeah, yeah, he really is. And then Ellen was saying that there was a lingerie photo shoot. And then the other surprise. I mean, that's a big surprise. Yeah. You guys had no idea. Of course not. And it was, because I saw something on Instagram this morning of Teresa in her lingerie
Starting point is 00:07:08 and the photo shoot, like a boudoir or whatever. Yes. And how did she respond to it? Like at first was she really excited or? totally willing to do something like that or we i'm not certain about teresa because for that i think she went first or something she was separate from the rest of us okay so i i don't know about her but i know we were all surprised when they brought in the racks of of lingerie things with our sizes our names or whatever and was like okay what are we going to do with this yes so uh okay and then we
Starting point is 00:07:42 of course had to change clothes and we put these things on and we were all like okay what's happening here. Right. And then they had some of the camera operators and sound people were guys and we wait a minute. Yeah, that's not okay. They had the lady crew come in and got it. And then this photographer, what a gorgeous young lady, she, she made us all relaxed. I tell you, it was, we all had anxiety. I was telling J.P. last night, you know, when it first started my anxieties on a one to ten scale, we're at an 11. What the, what are we doing? Yeah. Yeah. But in short of order. We're all having a ball. I love it. Who all was there? You mean who was at the Bachelorette party? Yeah. Who did the lingerie shoot? All of us. We each had a session and then we
Starting point is 00:08:28 had a group gathering. Got it. Yeah. But all of the Golden Bachelorettes were there. Well, there was four, five of us. Ellen, Susan, Faith, Sondra. I love that you said to yourself. I'm on the list. I think that was it. Yeah, so all of us. And then when I say all of us in the in the group shot, Teresa was with us. Okay, got it. All this skimpy underwear, we were, I mean, we were nude underneath.
Starting point is 00:09:00 No bras, no, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Good for you. It was interesting. I've never done anything like that before. I was just going to say, is this something that you've ever done before? No. No.
Starting point is 00:09:13 Well, let me back up. Yeah. I was young and I had a spouse. We did a little lingerie thingy. Yes. A few times. Okay. More than a few times.
Starting point is 00:09:25 Yeah. Oh, amazing. Back in the VCR days. Yes. I know those VCR days. Okay. I made sure that those things got destroyed after a while. Yes.
Starting point is 00:09:37 I was so self-critical. Oh, same. Yeah. Whatever. Same, same. We're all our own biggest critic, right? My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly, and now I'm seriously suspicious. Oh, wait a minute, Sam.
Starting point is 00:09:53 Maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit. Well, Dakota, it's back to school week on the OK Storytime podcast, so we'll find out soon. This person writes, my boyfriend has been hanging out with his young professor a lot. He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her. Now, he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone. Now, hold up. Isn't that against school policy? That sounds totally inappropriate.
Starting point is 00:10:13 Well, according to this person, this is her boyfriend's four. former professor, and they're the same age. And it's even more likely that they're cheating. He insists there's nothing between them. I mean, do you believe him? Well, he's certainly trying to get this person to believe him because he now wants them both to meet. So, do we find out if this person's boyfriend really cheated with his professor or not?
Starting point is 00:10:32 To hear the explosive finale, listen to the OK Storytime podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Hi, my name is Enya Umanzor. And I'm Drew Phillips. And we run a podcast called Emergency Intercom. you're a crime junkie and you love crimes, we're not the podcast for you. But if you have unmedicated ADHD... Oh my God, perfect.
Starting point is 00:10:56 And want to hear people with mental illness, psychobabble. Yes, yes. Then Emergency Intercom is the podcast for you. Open your free IHeartRadio app. Search Emergency Intercom and listen now. Imagine that you're on an airplane and all of a sudden you hear this. Attention passengers. The pilot is having an...
Starting point is 00:11:16 An emergency, and we need someone, anyone, to land this plane. Think you could do it? It turns out that nearly 50% of men think that they could land the plane with the help of air traffic control. And they're saying like, okay, pull this, until this. Do this, pull that, turn this. It's just... I can do my ice close. I'm Mani.
Starting point is 00:11:35 I'm Noah. This is Devon. And on our new show, no such thing. We get to the bottom of questions like these. Join us as we talk to the leading expert on overconfidence. Those who lack expertise lack the expertise they need to recognize
Starting point is 00:11:50 that they lack expertise. And then, as we try the whole thing out for real. Wait, what? Oh, that's the run right. I'm looking at this thing. Listen to no such thing on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:12:07 Hey, sis, what if I could promise you you never had to listen to a condescending finance, bro, tell you how to manage your money again. Welcome to Brown Ambition. This is the hard part when you pay down those credit cards. If you haven't gotten to the bottom of why you were racking up credit or turning to credit cards, you may just recreate the same problem a year from now. When you do feel like you are bleeding from these high interest rates,
Starting point is 00:12:29 I would start shopping for a debt consolidation loan, starting with your local credit union, shopping around online, looking for some online lenders because they tend to have fewer fees and be more affordable. Listen, I am not here to judge. It is so expensive in these streets. I 100% can see how in just a few months you can have this much credit card debt when it weighs on you. It's really easy to just like stick your head in the sand. It's nice and dark in the sand.
Starting point is 00:12:54 Even if it's scary, it's not going to go away just because you're avoiding it. And in fact, it may get even worse. For more judgment-free money advice, listen to Brown Ambition on the Iheart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. Okay, so what did you think of the wedding? Oh, gorgeous. Right. Oh, my goodness. The venue, you know, they did a hell of a job.
Starting point is 00:13:21 They really did. It's beautiful. How did you feel being at your ex-boyfriend's wedding with one of your friends? How is that for you? I was long past that. I know. I assume that, but I just wonder if. You know, I don't know if I ever looked at Gary as a boyfriend.
Starting point is 00:13:38 Okay. Boyfriend. You know, I looked at him as a great guy and a great choice, you know. You know, casting, they did a great job with him. And I looked at him as a friend. And now what America didn't see on TV, because, you know, there's 43 minutes a week of Golden Bachelor, the chats that he and I had. We had a lot of good chats, laughter and all that, but no one ever saw it. Yeah, of course.
Starting point is 00:14:03 We talked to football, which is my favorite subject. Yes, love it. Yeah. So it's great. Yeah. Oh, yeah. But isn't it funny? like the world of bachelor nation right this kind of thing is normal normal quote unquote to us
Starting point is 00:14:20 sitting in a wedding you know I've been to I think all of the televised weddings sure you have and and it in my world has become kind of commonplace where I go to people's weddings who I've spent very little time with or I don't even know them um and To me, I don't know if you feel this way yet or have ever, but I feel like we're one big family, whether we're happy or dysfunctional or whatever you want to call us. All families have dysfunctional. Right, exactly. Both the black sheep and the nod.
Starting point is 00:14:59 Right. And so I love being there for my family. And it is odd, like being, I always feel bad like being kind of close to the front because I'm like the people that actually spend like do life with them and their every day are not up here getting you know close and I I love Gary and Teresa and obviously wanted to be there to support them but I'm like maybe these other people should like be closer up front do you know what I'm saying other people being like they're being his friend their friends and family you know what I mean well yes I do but here's the thing the family's been with them
Starting point is 00:15:36 all their lives yeah this is sort of an adjunct family yeah A second family. So we're not as important as brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren. But we are their next family. And it sounds like, and it makes me feel like, we'll always be that. Like you're coming back all the time. You know, we're alumni. And I just assume that I'll see everyone again.
Starting point is 00:16:04 Oh, for sure you will. Some venture, a wedding, something, you know. Yes. So that's what that's my favorite thing about this stuff the reunions it is I told um I think Ryan last night it's like my happy place um I got to have my family there and I might like my four some of family Ryan and the kids and then I get to have my bachelor nation family and my in my life my friends are my chosen family and I just love being able to reconnect with people that I share this, you know, crazy, odd story with, right?
Starting point is 00:16:40 I like seeing the new couples. I do, too. Like, Braden and Christina. Oh, yes. We just got engaged, you know, and so now we know there's another wedding. Well, we cross our fingers. There's another wedding in the future. Right.
Starting point is 00:16:52 You know, maybe we'll get to be a part of that. Yeah. It's warming to me. I'm feeling, I'm feeling really special to be a part of this new family, this group. Grateful. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Really am.
Starting point is 00:17:06 Well, we're grateful that you're a part of it. Thank you, Tristan. Of course. Thank you so much for being here. Thank you. You're welcome. So good seeing you and your family. In your biological family.
Starting point is 00:17:16 Yes. Yes. All right. Thank you. Thank you, dear. Follow the Ben and Ashley I, almost famous podcast on IHartRadio or subscribe wherever you listen to podcasts. My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly and now I'm seriously suspicious. Wait a minute, Sam.

Starting point is 00:18:43 this was the choice he faced. He said, you are a number, a New York State number, and we own you.
