What do you get when a true crime producer walks into a comedy club?
Answer, a new podcast called Wisecrack, where a comedian finds himself at the center of a chilling true crime story.
Does anyone know what show they've come to see?
It's a story.
It's about the scariest night of my life.
This is Wisecrack, available now.
Listen to Wisecrack on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Everyone thinks they'd never join a cult.

This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcasts with IHartRadio.
For 22 years, the Bachelor franchise has thrived and survived.
Eight years ago, a new kid was born.
The Almost Famous Podcast.
where we sat down and talked about the beautiful and the intelligent and dramatic aspects of this
incredible franchise. And today, we have a new announcement. We have a spinoff with one of Bachelor
nation's absolute favorites hosting. It's called Beyond the Bachelor and it's with Susie Evans.
And Susie, welcome to the Almost Famous Podcast family.
It's growing.
It's welcoming.
And we're happy to have you.
And it's dramatic if you couldn't quite tell.
Also, I feel like that made it feel like you were introducing me as like a little baby.
Like I'm like.
You are.
I'm like the baby of the almost famous podcast.
Is that cool?
Are like one age wise, the youngest and two, been part of the franchise.
the least because we have like trista and bob you know like trista's been around for 20 years
bob's been around for what 19 then yeah i guess you're right wait he was on her season so maybe
they're tied my bad they're around a long time susy you you are new um to so many people but you're
familiar to so many people as well you are a favorite you've been around now i feel like at this
point, you understand the ends and outs of the show and kind of the aspects of all the
characters that come from the show. So you're perfect for this because you're not only likable,
but you're a great question asker, which I found out in person a few times. Tell us about
Beyond the Bachelor. Like, why can listeners get excited about this new venture? That's a great question.
I feel like if you watch the show, there's all these people that are either associated but they didn't sign up to be on the show.
And sometimes they might actually be like the main character, but their show and like their stories being told elsewhere.
And it's just not being aired on live television like The Bachelor.
So to me, I think it's cool because we're going to seek out those people that kind of stole the show, like the people that maybe should have been on the show or that people.
wish would be on the show.
And we're going to get to interview them and chat with them and discuss all the things that
like drew us to them in the first place.
So are you going to have Kelsey's dad on?
I was literally just thinking, I mean, there's no confirmation that I know of that we're
going to have him on, but that is like the ideal person of somebody that kind of steals the
show where you're like, oh my gosh, who is this person?
I want them to be on the show.
Or even if you don't want them to be on the show, just somebody that's interesting and is
just like has that star potential we've never had peter's mom barb on the show and like how crazy is and
then we have at barb she is such a bachelor figure right she's iconic like she's the dream
uh guess to have on bachelor so hopefully we'll be able to get yeses from all these people and
i'll get to chat with them and ask all the hard hitting questions well i mean one of the
exciting things is i can think back on like some of charity siblings
you know, people were freaking out about them.
You have Kelsey's dad.
You have Barb, you have Sean Lowe's dad who made a big appearance.
You obviously have these people who have been on television, who people have been intrigued by,
but we typically only get to see them for, let's say, at most, 20 minutes on a Monday night.
And what you're saying, Susie, is you're going to take these incredible people who do have stories
themselves, who have, in their 20 minutes of fame, absolutely.
drawn the audience in
and you're going to sit down with them
here at Beyond the Bachelor
and get to know them better
and hear their story
and actually get to understand
what it is about them that makes them different.
Exactly. You summed it up perfectly.
So you're basically interviewing people
who are Bachelor adjacent.
So they haven't been on the show
as a contestant,
but they have very close ties
to somebody who has.
Exactly. Yeah. And I don't even think
they have to be on the show.
Like, I feel like there's people that have,
I feel like even Matt James before being The Bachelor.
I was going to say Matt James before he was a Bachelor.
Yes, like people like that who just kind of swoop in and slip the spotlight.
Like Whitney Franzwe's sister is obviously a huge TikToker,
massively famous right now.
Oh, I didn't know this.
Big, like, big name, like really famous on TikTok.
I think her name's Jacqueline.
And then you have people like Amanda Stanton's sister.
And you have obviously parents and Ashley hasn't stopped thinking about Kelsey's dad since the moment he's on our television, which is wild.
We got to get him before he becomes the next Golden Bachelor.
I know.
Everyone is talking about it.
I was interviewed today and somebody was like, who do you want for the next Golden Bachelor?
I'm like, I don't want to say too much.
I don't want to put too much pressure on him.
And without me even saying it, she then prompted me like, what about Kelsey's dad?
I was like, okay, I figured that's who you were crying to see if I knew anything, but we'll see.
I have a ton of suggestions now that we are starting this brainstorm, Joey's uncle, who was kind of polarizing.
And we didn't see him again this time around, but we saw him on charity season because he was the one who was like, Joey, you're not being yourself.
And then I would love to see you interview Joey's dad who's gay and they didn't talk about that.
that on this finale, but they did briefly mention on charity season.
So true.
Yeah, those are all things that I, it's like unanswered questions.
Susie, obviously this I think is going to be a massive hit.
I think it's going to be really interesting.
And I think what is actually going to happen is this is going to go be like,
I think if we lean too much as an almost famous family into the bachelor aspect,
the show won't do as well as we do if we lean into the stories that will be far bigger than
The Bachelor. It's going to be one of those. Tell us, you know, what you've learned along
the way experiences. But I get, I've gotten to know you. And I really like you. I like my time
with you. I get excited when I see your name on any type of event we're doing. You know, I get
excited when I get to see you and your wonderful boyfriend in the mornings before you get an Uber
ride. There's so many things about you, Susie, that I just think are terrific. But what makes you
well-equipped to be the host of this new show?
I don't know that I am.
I'm going to be honest,
but I'm going to give it my best shot.
And the one thing I will say that I can give myself credit for
is that I love people.
Like, I've always loved hearing people's stories.
I feel like so often we forget even like our parents or our grandparents.
They lived whole lives before us.
And I'm always been that person that's wanted to, like, ask my parents detailed questions about their life.
Because I'm always so curious, like, what their lives have taught them or what experiences they had before I was alive or before I was old enough to remember.
So I think just being a really curious person that genuinely, I feel like I'm pretty non-judgmental and just, I'm just curious.
So I think that I, if anything, I'm disqualified to, like, be.
a non-judgmental person to listen to whatever somebody wants to say. And I feel like everyone's so
interesting. So I'm just going into it with an open mind and lots of questions. And you're a
great visual storyteller. And we already know this through your wedding videography and just your
Instagram reels, really. Thank you. Thank you so much. Of course. Well, Susie, this is an exciting
time for the Almost Famous Podcast, we are pumped and just so excited for you to be a part of it,
you personally, and then to hear kind of the people and understand the people that you bring
on along the way. So with that, tune in to Beyond the Bachelor. It's going to be on the almost
famous stream, wherever you can listen to the podcast. So when you see Beyond the Bachelor from the
almost famous family pop up, you can just click on it, listen to it. It's going to be Susie Evans,
along with some incredible guests
who maybe you don't know
their names right away.
But after listening to the show,
I believe
you're going to love them just a little bit more.
Susie, thanks for joining us.
Thanks, guys.
What's your sign-off going to be?
Because ours is I've been Ashley
and I've been Ben.
So you're going to have to come up
with some creative way to wrap a show.
So creative.
to say something weird like I've been.
Yeah.
Something so revolutionary like I've been.
That throws off every single gas.
It makes them feel weird before they leave.
Perfect.
I'm open to suggestions,
but you have to think about that,
what my sign-off should be.
Tagline.
Yeah.
Well, Susie, we'll be listening.
Till then.
Bye.
Until then.

What would you do if one bad decision forced you to choose between a maximum security prison
or the most brutal boot camp designed to be hell on earth?
Unfortunately for Mark Lombardo, this was the choice he faced.
He said, you are a number, a New York State number, and we own you.
