This is an IHeart podcast.
Guaranteed Human.
Hey guys, it's us.
The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe.
I'm Kevin.
And I'm Nick.
And guess what?
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it.
But, you know, tired and sick.
Tired and sick.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you.
you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.
Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guide. Not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel
and friends. Me and hilarious guests from Jim Gaffigan to Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman
help make you funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer, Streeter Seidel,
help an Acapella band with their between songs banter. There's the worst singer in the group.
The worst? Yeah. Me. Is there anything to the idea that because you're
from Harvard.
You only got in
because your parents
made a huge donation.
The group.
The yard birds, right?
That's the name.
The Harvard Yard's, but they're open.
Do you have a name suggestion?
We're open.
Since you guys are middle age,
one erection.
Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel
and friends on the I-Heart radio app,

podcast.
You love me.
I need some.
Some jokes to make me seem funny.
There are times when the mind becomes a difficult place to live.
This is David Eagleman with the Inner Cosmos podcast,
and for Mental Health Awareness Month,
we'll talk with singer-songwriter Jewel about anxiety.
I started living in my car, and then my car got stolen.
I was having panic attacks.
I was agoraphobic.
This is a month of deeply personal and honest conversations
about what happens when the brain goes off course.
Listen to Inner Cosmos on the IHeart Radio app,
Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
This week on Crimless, Rory and I welcome a very special guest.
When I would do a podcast, I wear my sleep masks.
I like where this is going.
So if you guys will indulge me.
That's right, the incredibly talented and hilarious Will Ferrell on an episode dedicated to crimes committed by people named Will Ferrell.
You're good for 300 crimes?
Yeah.
We got two.
I'm ready to go right up to present day.
Listen to Crimless on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
This is the almost famous podcast with IHartRadio.
Hey everybody, Bob Gennie here with super producer Heather Mundy.
We are here recapping Farmer wants a wife.
Season 4, episode 5, where things get greasy.
I think things get a little bit good here.
believe we're already on episode five?
I cannot.
It feels like we just started, but yeah, episode five.
I know.
I'm not happy about it because I'll tell you,
episode five means we're probably more than halfway to the finish line.
And I have really been loving this.
I've been loving this.
I've been loving doing our recaps.
I've been loving talking about these episodes,
interviewing stars from the show.
Yes.
Potentially setting up our own reunion show recap.
Yeah, Pop, just putting people on the spot to hire us and do stuff.
I'm just saying, all I know is my good friend Molly Walker told me she thinks that's a great idea.
So that's all I'm going to say.
I'm going to say, you guys take that for what it's worth.
But I think she is a very smart lady and she knows that we love this show and we love these people.
I mean, I will say, I feel like talking to Carson was such great insight into what we've already been saying,
that these are very sweet, very kind people that, you know, that even, even Carson, who up until this point,
the show has probably had experienced the most drama and the most tension and the most,
I'm not here to make friends, you know, type of moment.
And she's still very kind to the other, the other co-stars, very kind to the farmers.
I just think, you know, it just says a lot about this show.
I really do.
It sure does.
I love that you said most like drama up until this point because this episode was tense.
I don't know how else to say it other than there was a lot of tension happening specifically with farmer Sean.
But I think if anything that we learned from talking to Carson is she obviously doesn't know what was said to farmer Braden.
So we are obviously going to have to talk to more people from that farm to kind of figure out what was said.
because she linked it back to a tension moment with a dog and a grape.
Yeah, which caused tension with us.
You're on our show.
Which caused tension.
Confusion.
But I don't really connect the dots on how that could have led to her speaking
badly about farmer Braden, which got back to him.
And we still don't know what that is.
It sounds like she didn't know either.
So we're definitely going to have to do a little bit more of an investigation into
that. But this episode kicks off with Kimberly, our host, saying that the farmers must send
home any ladies they are not feeling a connection with.
Starting the episode out that way makes us know, girls are going home, which is crazy
because we just had so many go home in the last episode. So, you know, so we start out
with farmer Sean, and he's taking the women to his family restaurant, the gathering table.
and he's assigning them roles to do for a lunch service,
just to see kind of, you know,
how they act in his day-to-day life.
And we see him, you know,
he's really in his element,
opening wine,
talking to customers.
I didn't look too busy in that restaurant.
Now,
I think,
I think it might have been a slower day,
maybe like a Monday.
It was kind of cracking me up
because it was like every time they panned over
to show them like looking hurried and doing stuff,
I was like, there's like two people in there.
Like getting the, getting the royal treatment.
They have the whole staff of girls who have never worked here.
We don't see them do any training whatsoever.
He's like, you're the bartender.
It's like, what?
Yeah, no one's like over there like cotterling.
Absolutely.
I also don't remember if I saw any food actually get served or come out.
I feel like we saw them take orders and pour wine and pour water and see people.
but I don't know if I saw any food get delivered.
I wouldn't mind seeing somebody in the back of the kitchen, okay?
So we're all in the front of the house.
I mean, if you've ever worked in the restaurant, folks,
you know the front of the house and the back of the house.
Even though we're all working towards one goal,
it is a completely different world.
And if you're in the back of the house,
you're behind the grill, you're getting messy,
you're going after it.
That may have been a better test.
But just saying, you know,
I used to work at Benigan's guys,
so I have a very high standard.
Yeah, probably couldn't get those girls near an open flame.
for...
Not about that hairspray.
Well, I was going to say
for safety reasons or something,
they couldn't probably put knives
in their hands or something.
I don't know, guys.
I'm making this up,
but I would feel like they probably just wanted them
to do little things.
But this is where we start
to get the seed planted
that the other women
are feeling frustrated
by how much time Emily is getting with Sean.
Now, time is such a funny phrase
to use on this show because it doesn't seem like anybody's getting time.
It seems like what they're really frustrated about is that kiss from last week that she did
on the racetrack in the dark that was very far away that we refused to believe was ever
noticeable to any of the women and that they even know about that.
Right.
So just call a spade a spade if you're mad that she got the kiss in.
You're mad that she got the kiss in.
And so anyways, that's the seed.
that gets planted at the beginning of the episode for us
and really does flourish and grow throughout the episode.
Man, like a bad rash.
Yeah.
This one is like next level and I know we'll get there,
but this is the type of stuff that bugs me, right?
Like in real life,
but also like when you're watching the show
and it's like how this grows is like,
it's potentially really damaging, right?
Because he does have something really good going with Emily right now.
and they obviously have great chemistry with one another,
but somebody else gets in there and twist the screws a little bit
and takes a conversation and goes off the rails with it
and creates their own little narrative.
Can I say what I think it is?
Yes.
I think it's a full-blown editor-producer fake-out.
I think that that is the setup for the runner-up
because they want you to get, again, emotionally invested
in the person that ends up not winning.
And who did we see very little camera time this episode?
Olivia, who I think is actually the front runner.
Olivia's been your pick.
Olivia's been my pick, and there's something about their chemistry
that I haven't seen between him and Emily.
And I also think it's just a huge, huge spoiler for the audience.
if you're like, oh, yeah, we knew he was choosing Emily based on all the girls telling us he was
choosing Emily in episode five. So what am I waiting for for the buildup, right? Well, when you're
watching as a viewer, you think, oh my gosh, it is Emily. It is Emily. And you forget about that
connection with Olivia. And then we get to the finale and you have emotionally become invested
in Emily because you've seen her on your screen so much.
So we'll see you guys if I'm right or if I'm wrong.
So would you think this is a Franken edit, as we would say in the business,
where they maybe took something Rihanna said in...
100%. And we will get to that scene specifically.
Yeah, because I have some very...
I don't want to ruin this for anybody.
And again, Bob and I don't know anything about how this show ends.
We do not work for Fox.
don't have insider tips. I don't have anybody that in my life that worked production on this
season to even tell me stuff like that. This is purely speculation on, you know, what we're
watching and just having consumed a lot of reality TV and worked on it. But we go to Farmer Braden's
farm after that. And he's having the girls move big ass bags of soybean seeds. Like just take those over
there, dump them over there.
Yeah, just working it.
Just working it.
It's, again, farmer wants a wife, or does farmer want free labor?
I mean, I think it's more of the free labor stuff that he's really interested in.
Right now, it's a free labor.
It just cracks me up because it's like, there's farming activities that these girls could be doing
that could be more of like a date than actually making them work, but whatever.
I just, it's funny.
And so we see Skyler is really just like,
a freaking pro. She is throwing bags and all the girls are like, whoa, you're good at that. And she's like,
well, I'm a flower farmer. So blah, blah, blah. And Farmer Braden says he's also feeling a connection with
Casey. That's your sleeper pick for him. That's who you think. But he then. This one. Yes. Yes. Yes.
You're correct. So, but then he says that in his interview, but then he ends up pulling Cameron for a chat.
And she's the like silly blonde one in his group.
And he's basically like, you know, I want to see more than your silly side.
Like I want to see the real you.
And she opens up to him a little bit by saying, you know, she didn't have a good example of love growing up.
So that's kind of why it's hard for her to show that vulnerable side.
But he, you know, appreciates that she even got that far with him.
So then we go over to Farmer Sean's farm.
and Rihanna,
whof, she is wound up, this girl.
Yes, she's wound up.
She is, immediately, she goes to Emily
and she confronts her.
And she says, I think you're going to win.
And one of them, it's very funny.
One of them says, I believe it's Emily,
says, our mics are off.
They're never off, guys.
I want to tell you guys.
I want to tell you guys.
I want to tell you guys.
The only time I have ever witnessed them turning off mics, only time, is when you say,
I'm going to the restroom, turn off my microphone.
And again, we've all heard bathroom noises on shows at different times.
That's because people didn't ask for their mics to be turned off.
Yeah.
So you still even have to ask for your mic to be turned off when you go to the bathroom.
I don't even want to explain to people because it's too visual about what the sound engineer looks like on a set, especially with all these microphones.
It's a big switchboard that they kind of have.
It's not a switchboard, but it's like a big.
You're carrying it in a pouch.
Yes, I was just going to say, it's a thing that they wear on straps over their chest and they have a big thing of knobs in front of them.
And these guys, I've been on shows where people have jumped into the pool or whatever,
their microphones on. Those guys are the first ones to go crazy. It's just like, because that microphone
is dead, you know? Um, so, you know what I used to do when I wanted my microphone off?
Tell me. I unplugged it. Nope to future reality contestants. Or that. If you ever want your mic
off, unplug it. It's so easy. But if you want, but if you unplug your mic and you're talking to
somebody miced, you're still S.O.L. Reaching their bra, unhooked their, I'm just kidding.
because we've all seen that trick.
It's a way to really show that you're interested, you know.
Yeah, exactly.
We've all seen that trick too on reality TV where somebody says,
pulls off the mic pack, says, I'm done, I'm not doing it.
And then what do they do?
They send a producer in there to talk,
but they don't realize that the producer is miced
and they're going to use the producer's audio.
So there's a lot of tricks.
But when those girls, one of them said our mics are off,
I wanted to be like, oh, poor things.
It's absolutely not off.
And so,
in fact, at home,
I just turned it up, you know.
Exactly.
So they shoot them in a very strange way.
The cameras are all very shaky, shaky when they're doing that,
which I think is just a big show.
Because I'll say this,
Emily just was sitting by herself at a table.
And then all the other girls were sitting around a bonfire
about 10 feet away.
Within an eye distance to be.
able to be like, oh, look, they're talking over there.
I wonder what you're talking about.
Is Sean going over there?
Sean's going over there.
It was a little, a little too on the nose for me.
But what I noticed about this conversation is the shakiness of the camera allows us to hear
very clear audio, but we're not getting a whole lot of nice close-up shots of people's
mouths people. And when you don't see the mouth moving, it means it wasn't said in that moment.
So it doesn't mean it wasn't said, but it wasn't said in that conversation. Because if you have
camera coverage on a conversation that is happening, you're showing it. When you're cutting to a shot
of somebody staring at somebody else and you're hearing the other person talk off camera,
that's because that conversation didn't happen that way. And so,
So we're overhearing, you know, Emily saying that she's not sure that she's winning this competition.
And she kind of keeps reassuring Rihanna saying like, I don't, I don't think that, you know, I think we have a connection.
But who knows, like who's going to end up in the end?
She even says she's like, I feel like all the girls have a different type of connection with him.
And I think, I think that says a lot.
I mean, I really do think Emily is very, seems very sweet.
And I, it's, this is like a bummer of a moment when it gets turned into this thing where Rihanna comes back and says, you know, oh, well, Emily just told me that, you know, he's told her she's going to be winning that. Well, actually, she doesn't say that. She says, Emily tells me she thinks she's winning. And then it turns into like a really bad game of telephone because next thing you know, Macy's like, apparently Sean told her she's winning. Yeah. And I remember a period of time from the Bachelor era where people would be like winning.
Like that was almost like winning.
Like it's a competition.
We're here to find love.
Okay.
It is a competition, guys.
It is a contest.
It's a dating game show.
It's a dating game shows.
Yeah.
If you want to get really specific.
Yeah, no, you're right.
It is a bad game of telephone.
And it made me think, I don't know, go with me here for a second.
All right.
The Carson conversation that ultimately led to her demise happened off camera.
Yeah.
We didn't get any sort of follow up.
We didn't get any, you know, anything but breadcrumbs.
We never knew what was said.
Da da da da da da.
This made me feel like another conversation happened off camera and producers were like, no, we need to, we need to recreate.
We need to make this happen again.
And so it felt very pointed.
You know what I mean?
like the fact that Rihanna went in there with like a very clear motive made me almost feel like
we've been here before like we've had this like you actually did tell me this like when cameras
weren't rolling so now you're going to tell me again yeah that's that's what it was kind of
giving me it was kind of giving like maybe we were having pillow talk the other night as girls and
you said well he kind of already told me that
I'm going to the finals, you know?
Yeah.
And not thinking, again, not thinking cameras aren't around, this isn't going to ever come back
and bite me.
That's just a theory I have.
I also think that this could just be a completely fabricated moment to stir up drama.
And a producer may be chirped in Rianna's ear and got her hyped up because, oh, she keeps getting
hyped up, even all the way up until her.
exit on this episode.
So,
Sean comes up
and he kind of interrupts
the conversation
and Rianna leaves right away,
which I thought was interesting.
And she immediately goes,
you know,
to the women.
And like you said,
basically says that
it's already been decided
is the word that she uses.
Already decided.
And Macy feels very hurt by this.
So then we bounce over
to Farmer Brett's farm.
maybe the best farm
in the group
in the group
the farm where you'd like
to spend your days
oh I don't know
if I want to spend my days
plowing the fields
but you know what I would want
watching that man shop wood
I could
I I
reposted a video of him
chopping wood
it was a clip
and I said
I said why is this video
an hour long
because I'm just
it's why
is it on repeat on my phone. So weird how that happened.
Farmer Brett. So he's down already to his final three women. He's got Quinn. He's got
Hannah and he's got Sophia. And so, you know, he pulls Sophia for a chat and she asks kind
of where his head's at. And she says she likes his cabin because it reminds her of camping when
she was a kid. And she goes on and on in her one-on-one interview with a producer after basically
saying that her and Farmer Brett, you know, she feels something like that they have the same
morals and values and all this stuff. And I'm thinking, well, we didn't see any of that.
No.
Very superficial conversation. I just would rather her be like, dude's hot.
Mustache is hot. I'm here for that, you know, and just see.
But anyways, I don't know.
I'm sorry.
Sophia, I said it last week.
Like, you're not final two.
You don't think she's a final.
You think it's going to be Hannah and Quinn.
Hell yeah.
It's Hannah and Quinn.
And I can't tell which one they're getting me more emotionally invested in to break my heart over because I genuinely like both of them.
Actually, no.
Actually, no, I do have it.
I will get to it, but I do know who the front runner is.
I do.
After watching this, I do know.
Okay.
So then Farmer Braden's Farm,
he pulls Cassie for a chat,
your girl.
Yeah.
I think it's Casey.
I think this is Casey.
Shoot.
Sorry, guys.
Casey, Cassie, there's so many.
There's another Carson.
Cameron.
It's like there's a lot going on on the cast of the women.
And I noted he has his hand on her.
me while they're talking.
And that is a really good sign, Bob, for you that you've got a winner there because
I really think that because these men are much more action over words kind of guys for the
most part.
Mine is Farmer Sean because he really loves to use words and kiss.
I would say that the body language, it really is a telling sign, I think, for Farmer
Braden and farmer brett. So I think that you're on to something with those two because he also says
that she makes him nervous and he wants to reassure her that, you know, he's happy that she's there
and they haven't gotten a date yet, but that's like he's still like, I'm into you. I'm into you.
Which is interesting to me too when he says that because I guess because I've been thinking that she's
my front runner this whole time because of just
their little interactions.
I kind of forgot they hadn't had a date.
Do you know what I mean?
I was kind of crazy.
I know.
There's a couple of them where I was like,
you haven't taken that girl on a date yet?
Like you really like her though.
I can tell.
So they're looking really cute and she says that she's kind of like
got a crush on him.
So that's cute.
And then we go back to the drama drama at Sean's farm
and he can tell that there's tension.
with the women and he asks,
do any of you want to bring anything up?
And Macy's like, yeah, me.
I'm in.
Yeah, let's go.
Let's go.
And it's like,
this has got to be like the fifth time Macy has pulled him for a chat,
at least.
And she tells him,
you know,
she's heard about the Emily thing
and that she's the final pick.
And Sean is like,
well, his version and her version of events
is that Emily's told us all.
Yeah.
that she's your final pick.
It's like,
you haven't talked to Emily yet.
Exactly.
Yeah.
Exactly.
I'm talking about the bad game of telephone
where it just gets me to the point where I'm like,
oh my God.
So confident though,
not even asking him in a question.
Who's your final?
Do you have your mind made up?
It's like,
I already know that Emily is in your final.
Like, we already know this.
We all know this already.
She's just very straightforward about it.
And, you know,
he basically is like,
like, I've not made up my mind. And I kind of don't like that you don't trust me in like what I'm
saying. And she's just like, yeah, I can't stay. And she's got to go. And so she leaves and she's
kind of emotional. And he's like a little caught off guard by her being like, yeah, deuses. Like,
I'm done. Well, you know, part of it too, I think at this point is it is interesting because
Macy has been
and she's adorable
but she has been
challenged on this show
staying this long
has been a huge accomplishment
not because the guy's not into her
but because she's just
her mind is just taking her places
that it doesn't work
I say this with love and affection
you are an anxious attachment
and I say that from speaking of
experience and I want you and I to become more secure in this journey and have a secure
attachment style and yeah I really was it was hurting my soul to kind of watch you keep spiraling
over different things so I think it takes a lot of courage to be like yeah no I'm done like this
isn't for me bye bye it was a good moment for her because she kind of re she took back control of her her
100%
it took the power back
for sure
for sure

Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers, and guess what?
We have some big news.
What's the news, name?
Huge news.
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts.
We're starting a trend.
But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't really.
remember. I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
We were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band before Jonas Brothers.
This is how you guys remember it going down? Yes. I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast where people could call in and say, hey, Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas, and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.

Yeah.
And he pulls Quinn to go on a walk,
and he says, he's like,
rambling a little, and then he goes,
I really like you.
And I was like, oh, my God, oh, my God.
Just so cute.
Were you kind of like, were you thinking of yourself in that moment?
Yeah, I was looking at Quinn being like, that could be me.
No, Farmer Brett is too.
I really like you too, Brett.
I mean, sorry, I'm trying to take notes.
Farmer Brett is too young for me, but he is very handsome.
And I really do love his moments and glimmers we get of his silly side.
And they are so, I don't want to say they're few and far between, but they, they're not consistent.
like we're getting them every, you know,
every time we go over to his farm.
And so when I do get them,
I think that they're so funny
because it gives him dimension to me.
And I will say that not all the farmers
give me dimension like he does.
And so what I wrote here is that I'm looking at Quinn
and I'm like, who does she remind me of?
Who do you think before I say it out loud?
Hold on, hold on.
let me pull it up.
I'm going to give you a huge clue.
It's somebody from Bachelor Nation.
Okay.
Is it Dean and...
Oh, Kailen?
Kailen?
No.
Is it Kailen?
No.
Oh, it's Caitlin, uh, what's her face?
Thank you.
It's Caitlin Bristow.
It's so, like, clicked for me when I'm watching it.
I'm like, why is she so stinking cute?
And then I'm like, oh my God, her teeth kind of remind me of Caitlin.
her smile reminds me of Caitlin.
I all of a sudden,
glance back at her and I'm like,
oh my God,
that's Caitlin.
Isn't that crazy?
I was literally watching and I'm like,
you're,
and she's goofy as hell like Caitlin too,
which I actually love.
And I've said this before.
Caitlin is my favorite bachelorette of all time.
Like absolutely love Caitlin Buristo.
So maybe that's why I have a real soft spot for Quinn and like what's happening here.
But they basically.
basically talk about that they have like their love for intense eye contact and he tells her,
you know, he really likes her and he's excited about her and it just took him a while to show
it and then they hug. And this was the moment where I went, oh, Hannah's winning. And I like
Hannah a lot too. I tell, I'm telling you, I like them both. I would say pretty much equally.
And I knew in that moment, this is, this is me, just making a hunch.
Yeah.
No kissy, no whinny.
And so he has kissed him.
And that kiss was so like intentional.
And he's already said previously on the show that he wasn't going to go around kissing everybody.
And it's very much giving me.
Which is what I said on my show too, by the way, when I was the bachelor.
Oh, sure.
You did?
I did say that.
You said it. Doesn't mean I did it.
Okay.
But I did it.
Yes.
But I did say that.
And I think it's just giving me Farmer Matt from last season who literally only kissed his
winner.
And he waited until the freaking end of the season.
I was like, at least Farmer Brett is giving it to me episode.
He gave it to me episode four.
Wait, what are we talking about exactly?
What did he give to you?
So here's the one to say to Hannah.
I think Hannah and Quinn are both super cute.
Actually, all the girls, all the girls are very cute on this show.
And so it's like there's not a, you know, I mean, like I said,
I think the casting team did a great job finding some really interesting women
who are also very attractive and these great guys.
But yeah, Hannah and Brett, I think definitely have a connection that, you know,
it's not as, it seems like it's light years ahead of everyone else he sits down with now,
to me.
Light years.
I'll agree.
agree to that to a certain extent. I don't think I've seen him laugh with Hannah the way he laughs with
Quinn. Yeah. Who do you more identify with? Are you more of a blonde Hannah or are you more of a blonde
Quinn? Because I look at you and I'm thinking you feel like you're you really are relating to Quinn.
You've seen yourself like when he leaned in for that hug, you were like seeing what like what you
would do in that moment.
I like
silly, but I
also like a girl that
is willing to crack
the shell. And I feel
like Quinn
is kind of like cracking the
shell a little bit.
Like using this as an opportunity
to crack the shell where Hannah's like
he'll open up to me like when he wants
to kind of thing. And Quinn's just like
kind of like getting in there.
I don't know. I don't know if I
Like the effort.
Yeah.
I don't know if I personally relate to either of them because they're probably way more extroverted than I would ever be IRL when it comes to dating.
So I don't know.
If I don't, I want to stop talking about me and Farmer Brett because he has actually DMed and I know he's listening and this is now making me uncomfy to talk about him like this.
I love it.
So now it's dinner time at the farms
And farmer Brett says to all of his women
You know if they'd like to stay and they all say yes
Sophia you should have raised your hand and said
I think I should go because I feel like
I'm beyond man out
What are you going to do if Sophia ends up you know
Brett's choice?
She is not I'm sorry you are a gorgeous girl
You are not and I will even get into it at the very end
Like one of the last scenes where I'm like
She's like out in the side
and the other two are like together.
So anyway, so they all say they want to stay,
so nobody goes home.
And then we go to Farmer Bradens
and he pulls Skyler for a chat.
And this chat is weird.
It's very tense.
Again, we said this at the top of this,
that this episode was tense.
And so basically, he says to her,
like, I need you to kind of like open up to me
because we connect on the farmer thing,
but like I want to know you on a different level.
And she's like, oh,
you kind of need to reassure me that I'm not going home.
In that moment,
I was kind of like, did I just hear that right?
I actually rewound it a little bit and watched it again.
And I was like, wow, you, and he, this hits him.
Like, oh, he can't even.
I mean, yeah.
I wanted to be like, hey, babe, Skyler,
you're not the lead.
On the show. Farmer. Farmer wants a wife.
So he wants you to open up.
This is his journey.
And it's your journey to you.
I've said this to a certain extent.
But like, we already know his backstory.
He's been talking about himself for five episodes.
You're new here.
We don't know you.
Well, and you're super new here.
That's what I mean.
Super new.
You just got to the farm.
yesterday. So you kind of need to open up if you want to stand out amongst the women. Like I don't think
she was like fully understanding what this experience was. She didn't understand the assignment.
It was so weird to be like, well, you need to tell me. And maybe it wasn't even like you need to
tell me that I'm staying. It was more so like, tell me you like me. Tell me you think I'm hot.
Tell me something. You know what I mean is like kind of what I felt she was fishing for?
and I'll give it to her.
We've said this.
These guys are stoic.
They're a little hard to read on the surface.
And so that's why the body language stuff to me tends to speak more because they're not giving all that like,
you're fantastic, unless you're, unless you're farmer Sean, who is just really putting it out there, I think.
He's macking on all the chicks.
Exactly.
So it got really uncomfortable for me when Braden was like, you got anything else for me?
Yeah.
I thought that was really, that was an interesting response, you know, because if the next scene didn't happen, which it does, right?
Yeah.
Where they go back inside, sit down with everyone.
And he is just like replaying that conversation in his head.
And you can see it.
Like, I don't even think that was an editing trick.
I think that was like legit what happened.
He went back in there and he was so detached from the conversation,
even though they sort of showed it, right?
They did the whole kind of like almost like it was like a conversation
with two soup cans with the string between him.
It's like, mar, rum, right.
You know, it was like they were doing that thing.
But I felt like it was legit where he was at because he was so not there.
And good on the producers or the editors for seeing that.
And then he literally is like, Skyler, can we have another talk?
And it was interesting because the women that were left were like,
she gets another talk?
Little do they know.
that it's like, this is the kiss of death.
But then it was the blonde from earlier in the episode
that he told to open up who was like,
girl, she's going for a second chat
because she's getting the axe.
Like she's new.
Yeah, exactly.
This is not happening.
But I will say, Skyler says,
maybe she's not ready for a situation like this.
I think you hit the nail on the head with that one.
Yeah.
And so they say goodbye.
And I'm honestly,
I was a little surprised because
they had that farming connection
and it's like
that's the kind of girl, right?
Who can like just adapt to this lifestyle so easily.
And it was just,
I think it was the competition of it all.
It's like, you know,
a lot of the time
these women have never,
had to compete for a man's attention or affection. And that's because they're all beautiful.
And that's just not the world that hot people operate in where they, you know,
speaking from experience, you're absolutely right.
I'm actually speaking from non-experience that this is just how they move and navigate through
life. And look, truth be told, no matter who you are. It doesn't matter.
If you're, you know, a college potato who's never gone on a date or someone who's considered to be, you know, Miss Texas or beautiful, whatever.
It's like, this is an unnatural situation for everyone.
I mean, it doesn't, it's not a natural situation too.
And I mean, I used to jokingly say it all the time.
I get, you know, I'll never forget, Trista coming home one night when she's on a date with, you know, five guys and I'm back at the house with the other 10 leading a frat party rager and she's mad.
And I'll never forget it.
And she's like, you know, what's going on?
I'm like, what am I supposed to cry?
Because you're on a, you know, you're on a date with five of my new best friends.
I'm sitting here with my other new 10 other best friends who are all dating you.
Like, we're having fun.
Okay.
But it's like you got to be wired for that.
And I thankfully was.
I mean, it was like, I had this thing where it was like, okay, I'm not with it right now.
I'm just going to do this.
And I wasn't thinking about it, you know, even though the producers will desperately
wanted me to think about it.
I'm like, no, I'm really good at detaching.
That's so alpha male.
And if we go back to attachment styles, that is such a secure attachment style being like explained of being like, I'm confident in who I am.
Like that's me.
We all strive to be a bob guinea attachment style in a relationship.
I know I do.
Oh, man, I don't know about that.
I don't even know that I strive to be a me in these moments.
So then we go back to, dun dun, dun, farmer Sean's farm.
and this is, you know, it kind of starts to,
I mean, we're really reaching the crescendo of this whole thing.
And so he wants to call it a night and he asks if the women have anything to say.
And Rihanna is like, yeah, me.
And she pulls him for a chat.
And she wants to get a gauge on him.
And she's very direct in this moment.
There is no tiptoeing around her.
delivery or how she is speaking to him, it is very much feeling like an interrogation in this
moment. Yeah. Yeah. And he doesn't like it. He doesn't like it because he's an alpha male. And
these are all alpha males. And yeah. And they're on a way. Different types of alphas. Different types of
alphas. But again, it's farmer wants a wife. So it's his, he's calling the shots unless you want to
leave, which is when all these girls leave.
And so he says that, you know, he can recognize that she's really dedicated to becoming a doctor.
And for him, he's in that phase where he's ready to start a family and settle down.
And he's got to follow his gut.
And he says, you know, I think this is goodbye.
And she says that she appreciates his honesty, but.
Here it comes.
She lets them have it.
When there's a butt coming in.
Yeah.
she knows her future husband will be so proud of her and how passionate she is about medicine.
She says she doesn't feel a connection with him.
Ooh, got to twist that knife.
Got to twist it.
You know, this is what you just said.
He's an alpha male.
And I was like,
and she's an alpha female.
That's why these shows are so great when you have a moment like this because she's,
she's now realizing she's going home.
Right.
And so she's going to get in her two cents also.
So she's realizing.
Her head is held tie.
She's realizing he beat her to it is what she's realizing.
She was going to tell him I'm out.
She was going to tell him she was out and he got there first.
So true.
And she's like, well, let me just twist a little bit before I get out.
You can't fire me because I quit.
That's what this was.
That's what this was.
Bob, that's exactly what this is.
That's exactly what this is.
She says, I don't feel a connection with you anyways.
And she knows he is not her person.
And she knows he will be a great father someday.
Okay. It's a little bit of a little bit of a soft in the blow.
Soften the blow. I'm going to compliment a little bit. And then she says in her interview,
it's obvious Sean was looking for a stay at home wife. And that's not who she is.
I'm going to say it's not obvious Sean is looking for a stay at home wife. And I'm going to say
that because I actually met his mom. And these are working people. They have a restaurant. They have a business.
So I think that's actually a really unfair label to put on farmer Sean.
I think that he comes from really hardworking parents.
And who put family first, though, as much as they work,
I got a very strong sense of family from not only speaking to them,
but also his brother who was there that day at the farm.
And so I think, Rihanna, I think you're actually wrong in that statement.
But that's okay.
You really went out on a high horse.
So this is a podcast about video games.
Kind of.
It's also about friendship.
Definitely.
And chaos.
Unavoidably.
Welcome to It's Dangerous to Go Alone.
A podcast where we talk games, culture, nostalgia, and immediately go off topic.
There is no gatekeeping.
There is no skill check.
If you win a game on Easy Mode, we support you.
If you've never touched a controller, honestly, same energy for some of us.
It's fun.
It's chaotic.
It's friendship with a loose gaming theme.
And somehow we keep getting away with it.
You should listen.

podcasts. Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers, and guess what? We have some big news. What's the news?
Huge news. We created our own podcast called Hey Jonas. We invented a podcast? Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to our first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there. But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up with a name Hey Jonas, guys? I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it. And we were thinking, I'm an original
calling it one of the early names of our band
before Jonas Brothers
was... This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes. I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast,
where people could call in and say, Hey, Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas,
and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.

The worst?
Yeah.
Me.
Is there anything to the idea that because you're from Harvard,
uh,
You only got in because your parents made a huge donation.
The group.
The yard birds, right?
That's the name.
The Harvard Yardt Yard's, but they're open.
Do you have a name suggestion?
We're open.
Since you guys are middle-aged.
One erection.

I need some jokes to make me.
Seem funny.
Hey, I'm Jared Adano.
You might know me as that loud guy who yells out, help on the internet.
Help!
Somebody!
Please!
But there's so much more to me than me.
I'm an actor.
I'm a comedian.
And recently, I've become quite the helper myself.
And on my new podcast, Hope from a Hypocrite, I'll be changing lives, helping people
in need with my sage advice and thoughtful solutions.
Sike!
I'm a comedian.
I'm not qualified to give good advice.
Join me and my comedian friends as we riff rant

As they're saying goodbye, Sean,
again, as the gentleman he is,
apologizes.
And he says, you know, if he's hurt her,
he's sorry about that.
And to which she says,
you couldn't hurt me if you tried.
Woof.
Oh, my gosh.
Not nice.
Not nice.
I can see it if they were contentious
and he was like
even remotely taken
shots at her, you know, somehow some way for her to fire back like that. But what we've seen
anyways has been nothing but him being kind. And I feel like that was just sort of one of those
prideful things you say to someone where later you go home and you're like, I shouldn't have
said that. 100% that was the ego talking in the moment. So yeah, didn't feel like that was a great
exit. And then we see her talking to producers again in her OTF.
and they ask her if she wants to clear the air
about what has and hasn't been said to her.
And she says, no, she does not want to talk about other people.
That is not her character.
Okay, Rihanna.
Yeah.
You were just a little too intense for me.
You were intense in your way to get yourself on the farm,
which we totally respected.
But I think you could have.
have gone out in a different way.
And I want to say, a little more graceful.
A little bit more graceful.
And I want to say that this exit actually isn't indicative of your personality.
I think that you do carry yourself with grace probably in the day to day world.
But in this one, you were like, hell no.
And I'm a strong-ass woman.
And I think that you can be a strong-ass woman without having to just like give a little dig, twist the knife a little bit on.
the exit out. So was the huge fan of that. And I think, you know, Farmer Sean really got it handed
to him that episode with Macy exiting and then that Rihanna exit. So the next day. I actually worry about,
I worry about this too, though. I worry about Rihanna exiting in this way because now the only
person that could, not that she needs it, but the only person that could back up Emily saying,
I never said anything like that. And if Rihanna were still there, you could have them both in a room
and talk about it, right?
Which would be nice.
Again, we're not even,
these are moments we're not seeing.
We're not hearing.
You know,
we're going to have to deal a little bit more
investigating between, you know,
Bachelor Bob and producer Heather
when we talk to more of these people
because it's,
stuff is ending up on the cutting room floor.
Yeah.
But the next day,
Sean pulls Emily for a chat
to like confront her
about kind of these rumors that are swirling.
and she says that she's feeling good about their connection,
but she's pretty much unsure of what she said
and how the women could have heard or misinterpreted something she said
to claiming that she was going to be the final choice.
And in interview, she says she knows Rihanna was the culprit
of this whole thing spewing.
And, you know, she tells Sean she thinks that she could be there in the end,
but she knows that things aren't final,
and she wants to focus on their connection.
And Farmer Sean is totally fine with this explanation.
I thought she handled this well.
I mean, you know, from the standpoint of being confronted with something that you didn't say.
Yeah.
And also realizing, you know, thou doth protest too much, right?
She could have been, you know, completely aghast, right?
But instead she's like, you know, I want to be there in the end.
But I understand that, you know, I thought the way she handled it was really good, really a classy way to handle it.
and she could have thrown someone under the bus,
but she didn't to him.
And she's just like, listen, I, you know,
I want to be here in the end.
I don't know.
I felt like it was,
and I liked that he believed her right away,
or at least we think he does from what I can tell.
And that says,
I think, a lot about their relationship too.
Yeah, agree.
Back on Farmer Brett's farm,
he teaches the ladies how to use Alaska.
I think we missed an opportune.
time for the women to last so him.
I would have maybe suggested that if I had been set that day.
Yes, yes.
Yes, you would have been like, let me show you how you do it, ladies.
Let me show you.
Farmer Brett showed me this one and then you do the whole pull in towards you.
Kind of move.
All the way in and maybe a little tie yourself together.
Maybe a little kiss could have happened.
But anyways, they keep it a little more G-rated.
And Farmer Brett, you know, rides around on this little tractor truck.
thing and he pulls a fake bull on the back for them to try and land, which none of them are very good at.
And then they switch positions.
And Quinn drives and, you know, is like telling him, uh, she's going to like haul ass past him and see if he can like catch this fake bull to which he does.
And she goes, that was hot.
To which price.
Yeah, I bet it was.
And I wrote, he's not wrong.
I did rewind that scene a couple of times.
Again, why is this scene 20 minutes long?
Only on your television.
Only on my TV.
Because I thought it was so funny.
I just love his little quick delivery back of, I bet it was.
No.
They have a really cute relationship.
They do.
That's what I'm talking about.
Like the humor and seeing that silly side is really funny.
to me, I don't know, you guys chime in it that are watching if you are equally enthralled by Farmer Brett's funny side like I am.
Back on Sean's farm, Carson hasn't had anyone on one time with him.
So she's taking matters into her own hands and basically creating a little smores date in front of the fire.
And that's not a kissing one.
She's not going to kiss him.
Oh, she says I'm not going to kiss him if he goes in for a kiss.
And then it's like, don't play this back if we do end up kissing.
Right, right.
Okay, let's hope that one doesn't make the edit.
Not too late.
And if I'm paying attention enough, I think that that was done in the barn where the girls were staying, that little fireplace.
Yeah.
So he comes in and he says, you know, he wants to have a deep conversation.
And, you know, he asks if she was the final girl, where would they go from there?
And she says she's go with the flow and her job allows her to be flexible.
And he says, you know, she had, and he says she was high on his list from the beginning because she likes to travel and go to national parks.
And she, I really actually liked this answer.
She's like, yeah, that's great.
But nobody's 100% compatible.
Like I like doing those things.
But like, basically, that's not all me.
Like, don't take me.
What I read is don't take me as I'm a granola bar chick.
Like I like to do other things than go to national parks, but I'm down to do that sometimes.
And she really is adamant in saying, you know, that couples don't all have to like the same things.
And I really admire her saying that because that's, I live by that same philosophy.
I don't want to date me.
Like, I mean, if I'm.
I mean, in all honesty, those differences.
are kind of amazing.
It is.
And that's how you grow
and that's how you evolve
as a couple.
And that's how you also find things
that you as a couple
like together.
That could be completely
individual,
like something that you would have
never discovered on your own
or from the other person.
You know,
so that's the fun part.
If there is a fun part about dating,
that would be it.
He says Carson is very funny.
And she says
that that is the nicest compliment
he could ever give her.
I also liked that answer.
So clearly the humor, the riffing is very high up on her list of, you know,
finding a connection.
We hear this all the time on dating shows now.
When we ask people what their likes are, people say good banter.
Yeah.
As like a thing that they're looking for in a partner.
So obviously, Sean, hearing that he's just given the best compliment ever, goes in for a kiss.
And not just a kiss, not like what we've seen.
I feel like this might be the most passionate embrace of the season.
It's pretty passionate.
There's no hat in sight, people.
So we're seeing lip-lip action from different angles.
And then when she walks into the door, there's another kiss.
So obviously producers are like,
hey, remember when you said you weren't going to kiss him?
And she's like, ah, don't tell me that.
Don't tell me that.
It's like you never say that on a dating show
because that will for sure come back
and we will use that footage of you.
So anyways, that's the episode.
We see a preview for next week.
We see all the women reading something
and being super shocked.
We see a shot of Sean taking his shirt off
again.
again.
And I told you that Sean does regret how much he took his shirt off on the show because
the other farmers did not give into that same pressure.
The women will,
we find out the women will all write down a date idea and the farmers will have to pick
one not knowing who wrote down the idea.
That's a cool idea.
That is kind of cool.
This is also kind of cool.
We see Farmer Brett getting blindfolded.
the smile on your face just now i swear to god is i'm teasing i'm teasing it's just funny it's just
funny and then someone doing tantric yoga and then that was a date idea that clearly is going to be
clearly um we see farmer braden having whipped cream put into his mouth and we see the farmers
have to decide who will be their final two and sean saying he could
potentially be sending home the wrong girl.
Dun,
dun,
so it looks like next week's the jam-packed week.
Maybe a little lighter than this.
This was really tense.
So maybe...
Until the end.
Until the end.
Until the end.
I think the end is going to be pretty stressful.
Yeah.
So anyways,
that's the episode.
We love hearing your guys' feedback
and what you're thinking of this season.
So please send us a DM.
Leave us a comment.
who's your favorite farmer.
We want to hear what you think about our interview with Carson.
Oh, yes.
Tell us what your thoughts are on Carson.
Who else you would like to hear from this season?
I've got some ideas, you know, on who we should talk to next.
But until then, this has been a little bit famous.
Yes.
We've been having some fun.
I've been Bob Guinea and she is super producer, Heather Mundy.
Thanks, Bob.
See you later.
Hey, guys.
It's us and the Jonas Brothers.
I'm Joe.
I'm Kevin.
And I'm Nick.
And guess what?
We created our own podcast called Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it.
But, you know, tired and sick.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Just listen.
We don't care where you hear it.
Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guide.
Not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Jim Gaffigan to Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman,
help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel,
help an Acapella band with their between songs banter.
The worst singer in the group?
The worst?
Yeah.
Me.
Is there anything to the idea that because you're from Harvard,
you only got in because your parents made a huge donation.
The yard birds, right?
That's the name.
The Harvard Yardt Yard.
They're open.
Do you have a name suggestion?
We're open.
Since you guys are middle-aged, one erection.
Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and Friends on the I-Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Humor me.
I need some jokes to make me seem funny.
There are times when the mind.
becomes a difficult place to live.
I actually drop better when I'm high.
It heightens my senses, calms me down.
If anything, I'm more careful.
Honestly, it just helps me focus.
That's probably what the driver who killed a four-year-old told himself.
And now he's in prison.
You see, no matter what you tell yourself,
if you feel different, you drive different.
So if you're high, just don't drive.
Brought to you by NHTSA and the Ad Council.
This is an I-Heart podcast.
Guaranteed human.
