Starting point is 00:02:12 This is the Almost Famous Podcast. Yes, it's the Almost Famous Podcast, and we could not be happier to be here. You know why I'm really happy to be here, Ashley? I think you're done with work for like the next two weeks. I'm getting close. After this. I'm getting very close.
Starting point is 00:02:27 I got a ski day in front of me. I got a golf. day hopefully in front of me and then it's the holidays. Work has been wild, generous. It's busiest time of the year is this year, obviously, with the holidays. And now we're pretty much past shipping date. So I can kind of... It's because people gift it. They gift it. Yeah, they gift it. They buy it for friends. They buy it for themselves maybe to do like a holiday party and then corporations do it for gifting. And once you reach this date, like we're not shipping coffee and getting it there by the holidays. We have five days. Some people, like I can put my hat up.
Starting point is 00:02:59 and just kind of kick my feet up and say it is what it is. But here's the other thing I'm really happy about, Ashley. What? You know, when you have those days where, like, gratitude just kind of flows out of you, where you just feel thankful, like, you wake up and the day goes on and throughout the day, you lay your head on your pillow at that night, and you're just like, I'm really grateful for a few things. I'm really grateful for you.
Starting point is 00:03:29 No, and here's why, because this last weekend, my in-laws, my brother-in-law, my sister-in-law, my wife and myself, went to Rhode Island for the holidays. My mother-in-law's family had a holiday celebration. It was important for us to be there because Jessica's Nana was there. And we stopped at Audrey's on the way out there. I was there for everybody out there. We had a nice... Oh, that's what I'm thankful for you. Afternoon lunch.
Starting point is 00:04:00 Yeah. So nice. But not only is Audrey's just absolutely spectacular. You guys are crushing it. You and Jared both. But it's really fun for me. There was a moment where Dawson kind of ran to the back and I followed him and you were sitting eating your sandwich around the table with my family.
Starting point is 00:04:17 And I just look back and I was like, this is so special to me. Like somebody is a part of my life for so long like you have been spending time with now my family like you are and them just like enjoy. it. I would say, now the celebration at the holidays was spectacular. I would say that most of my family, if I asked them, what was their favorite part of the day? They would say just sitting at Audrey's with the baby, baby Jade, and with you and Dawson and Jared and just hanging out. It was spectacular. Oh, thanks, Ben. I'm so glad you had a great time. We did too. It was the best part of my week for sure. It's so wild when I get to be with you, kind of outside of the craziness
Starting point is 00:05:02 of maybe an event, to be kind of in your home and to see you as a mom. Because you're an incredible mom. Jared's an incredible dad, right? You have a young child. It's not easy, and he's running crazy, and he's asking for it. Everybody in my family laughed at the idea that he calls nom-nom-nom cheese, and he just said, I want nom-nom, and then he got to slice of cheese, and he ate a piece of cheese and he was so happy. I mean, he's such a cute kid, but he's not easy. And you guys just do it so well. And it's so cool for me to see after, you know, I don't want to like forget that.
Starting point is 00:05:39 Like when we first started doing this, we both were very single. Yeah. Well, yeah. That's actually very sweet that you say, like, that you have such a good time when you like watching all that. Because usually from a mom's point of view, we'll leave being like, oh, I wasn't present enough. You know, I was running around with him. I couldn't have, like, a solid, like, sit-down conversation.
Starting point is 00:06:01 So I feel like moms are always a little bit insecure to make sure that everybody had a good time because, you know, it's always more chaotic with a toddler. I sure it is. No, that's not the case. It was absolutely spectacular. Here's the second really funny part of the day, Ashley. And I'm just...
Starting point is 00:06:17 That I wasn't there for? Yeah, that you weren't there for. And so... Okay, well, I know Santa showed up. Santa did show up. I was so excited about Santa. I had a few martinis by then. But
Starting point is 00:06:27 Ashley, so when we were going to Rhode Island to Newport, I had told my family, I was like, you know, it would be really fun. Since we're in Newport, we should drive by.
Starting point is 00:06:40 Rosecloth? Yeah, we're Ashley and Jared got married because it's so beautiful. It's so spectacular. Spectacular. The house that we celebrated at was across the street from Rosecliffe.
Starting point is 00:06:52 No, same street. Same freaking street so we were right when we saw the name of the street we're like yeah that rings a bell i think that's the mansion row yeah i was mansion row yeah if you guys should see if you could only see the zillow listing for this house guys that he just celebrated his christmas holy holy moly and it's so cool to see somebody living in one of these homes like they live in it right because it looks like it's out of the gilded age 1156 was when it was built yeah so just around that time so did they keep the
Starting point is 00:07:23 furniture, does it look authentic to the time or is it modern in there? Both. So like different rooms are kind of designed differently. And so some rooms are kind of throwbacks or they've just continued this tradition. And other rooms have been modernized, like the kitchen and the living room and the TV room and and those type of things. But then like the grand dining room, which I didn't know existed in homes, very much throwback and very beautiful and spectacular. It was an incredible day. It was. so special it was so fun and jessica and i both left and we said one of the coolest things because that had to be at this point in my life at least the top three if not the craziest coolest house i've ever
Starting point is 00:08:06 been in the thing that jessica and i said was it was just cool to see them like not like acting like it's their home right they had a bunch of little kids running around with like red sauce and spilling it and there was red wine ever in nobody was freaking out and it was like it was just cool to see them using this as a home still and not being like super uptight and like it was just fun um but yeah those homes in and newport on mansion row yeah that's the best i mean here's the crazy part this is probably the like least nice home and like it is so not it's the nicest home ever been it yeah but it's it's like amongst these like Rockefeller houses or yeah not we're Rockefeller didn't have a house there. Vanderbilt's are very well known for their houses there.
Starting point is 00:08:57 Yeah. It's crazy. Well, you guys, if you are ever in Rhode Island, definitely. Like, I know it sounds kind of like weird. Go visit mansions. It's, they're really awesome. It looks like something out of a time period film. It's, it's just, it's one of my favorite things to do when people come visit. I think it's absolutely awesome. So visit Audrey's, visit the mansions. Well, Ashley, you and I have headlines to get to today. It is going to be a very interesting episode. to break down because there is some big news that I really want your opinion on. But we'll start with the top story, which is this. Wells Adams asked for a Bachelor in Paradise reunion, says Aaron Bryant and Eliza split, surprised him. Yeah, so he said he reached out to production. He was like, so when are we doing the after show? And then he was like, oh, they said to him, we're not doing one this year. and then he was like, never has there been a time
Starting point is 00:09:53 where I actually wanted answers from all these people that have now broken up since the show ended. I am shocked about Aaron and Eliza. They were cute and they were perfect for one another. We stopped filming them because once you get really, really comfortable with someone, you kind of get boring to watch. He said, I also thought that for sure
Starting point is 00:10:14 that was going to be the next wedding we did on the beach 100%. I can't say that I'm shocked. with Kat and John Henry, because I love them both. Don't get me wrong, but they are just such different people. I know opposites attract, but I don't know when you're like a welder, deep sea diver, and then like the other one is scared of water. You know, maybe this isn't going to work. He also said that he's sad by how Avin and Kylie's relationship ended.
Starting point is 00:10:41 He said, I hate to see how stuff like that is so easily just put into the universe, you know. It's so easy with social media to air your grievances and stuff. and I'm just hoping for the best for both of them. And just an interesting tidbit. I heard that opposites attract initially, but then long-term couples and, like, successful marriages tend to have more similarities than differences in their personality. What do you think about that?
Starting point is 00:11:05 I mean, I think so. I think that, you know, at least in my experience, there's a, there's very little that, like, we shared at the beginning other than a competitive drive. and now as we've gone like into our marriage we both really like I enjoy the same things Jessica enjoys and she tries to do the same for me she doesn't love golf but I love golf and she at least supports me and it and asks me what I shot and that's about all I need there's differences there's a difference between having like shared hobbies but like yeah you know we have the same
Starting point is 00:11:41 and I think for us this has always been a big deal and and not everybody has it but like our faith is a foundational like point for us right that's that's the thing we always come back to and that's what like the filter which i attempt to live my life through uh unsuccessfully many times but when it comes down to it like jessica and i share the same faith which i think is very important to us and i would imagine that you know if you shared totally two different perspectives on the world and what exists in the world it would be hard um so yes i agree opposites may attract but the common has to be found. My name is Ed. Everyone say, hello, Ed.
Starting point is 00:12:27 I'm from a very rural background myself. My dad is a farmer and my mom is a cousin. So, like, it's not like... What do you get when a true crime producer walks into a comedy club? I know it sounds like the start of a bad joke, but that really was my reality nine years ago. I just normally do straight stand-up, but this is a bit different. On stage stood a comedian with a story that no one expected to hear. Well, 22nd of July 2015, a 23-year-old man had killed his family. And then he came to my house.
Starting point is 00:13:04 So what do you get when a true crime producer walks into a comedy club? A new podcast called Wisecrack, where stand-up comedy and murder takes center stage. Available now. Listen to Wisecrack on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. What would you do if one bad decision forced you to choose between a maximum security prison or the most brutal boot camp designed to be hell on earth? Unfortunately for Mark Lombardo, this was the choice he faced. He said, you are a number, a New York State number, and we own you.
Starting point is 00:13:42 Shock incarceration, also known as boot camps, are short. short-term, highly regimented correctional programs that mimic military basic training. These programs aim to provide a shock of prison life, emphasizing strict discipline, physical training, hard labor, and rehabilitation programs. Mark had one chance to complete this program and had no idea of the hell awaiting him the next six months. The first night was so overwhelming and you don't know who's next to you. And we didn't know what to expect in the morning. Nobody tells you anything.
Starting point is 00:14:16 Listen to shock incarceration on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Dr. Joy Hardin Bradford. And in session 421 of therapy for black girls, I sit down with Dr. Athea and Billy Shaka to explore how our hair connects to our identity, mental health, and the ways we heal. Because I think hair is a complex language system, right?
Starting point is 00:14:40 In terms of it can tell how old you are, your marital status, where you're from, or a spiritual belief. But I think with social media, there's like a hyper fixation and observation of our hair, right, that this is sometimes the first thing someone sees
Starting point is 00:14:54 when we make a post or a reel is how our hair is styled. You talk about the important role hairstylists play in our community, the pressure to always look put together, and how breaking up with perfection can actually free us. Plus, if you're someone who gets anxious about flying,
Starting point is 00:15:11 don't miss session 418 with Dr. Angela Neil Barnett. where we dive into managing flight anxiety. Listen to therapy for black girls on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Get fired up, y'all. Season two of Good Game with Sarah Spain is underway. We just welcomed one of my favorite people
Starting point is 00:15:31 and an incomparable soccer icon, Megan Rapino to the show, and we had a blast. We talked about her recent 40th birthday celebrations, co-hosting a podcast with her fiancé Sue Bird, watching former teammates retire and more. Never a dull moment with Pino. Take a listen. What do you miss the most about being a pro athlete?
Starting point is 00:15:50 The final. The final. And the locker room. I really, really, like, you just, you can't replicate, you can't get back. Showing up to locker room every morning just to shit talk. We've got more incredible guests like the legendary Candace Parker and college superstar AZ Fudd. I mean, seriously, y'all. The guest list is absolutely stacked for season two.
Starting point is 00:16:13 And, you know, we're always going to keep you up. to speed on all the news and happenings around the women's sports world as well. So make sure you listen to Good Game with Sarah Spain on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Presented by Capital One, founding partner of IHeart Women's Sports. Well, we've talked many times now about the Golden Bachelor finding his common denominator. And here's a headline. We're going to talk more about The Golden Bachelor and kind of about Bachelor in Paradise as the episode continues, as most can imagine. But here's the headline. The Golden Bachelor producers are here. That's in quotes. That must be kind of new term. They're here for Bachelorette and Bachelor and Paradise spinoffs.
Starting point is 00:17:03 We're here for it, you know? Yeah. So I've never been able to read a headline and then see Bennett's name as the quoter. And it's kind of cool. So Bennett is one of the show runners and a friend of ours for almost a decade. And he said this, nothing would make us happier. Dot, dot, dot, pause. Stay tuned.
Starting point is 00:17:28 And this was at the Producers Guild for your consideration panel on December 11th. That feels like a text I would get from Bennett. Like nothing would make me happier. He talks the way he texts. Yeah, he talks the way he texts. That's why I said it. That's why I said it says nothing would make it's happier. And it's not like he said, da, dot, dot.
Starting point is 00:17:46 That's what I said, pause. Stay tuned. That's all I get. And then also Jason Ehrlich, Claire Freeland, two producers that weren't there for our entireties. They said that I'm here for the Golden Paradise. Bennett said, we're ready for it. All righty.
Starting point is 00:18:06 Ashley, do you know that Jason Ehrlich was the executive producer on Happily Ever After, the show I did post show? Yes. So you know him quite well. I know him quite well. He is back and he ran Paradise this year. So Nick Viles' fiancee, Natalie, asks Victoria Fuller to be her maid of honor. Now, crazy, shocking to me, but this was now posted and public.
Starting point is 00:18:42 Yeah, damn. Maid of Honor. I thought when I saw this on social that it was just one of the bridesmaids. Same. It is, but it's not. I'm looking at the S. Weekly right now.
Starting point is 00:18:53 She says, when getting this gift box from Natalie, Victoria said, screaming, crying, throwing up. And then she lifts the lid. It says, will you be my maid of honor?
Starting point is 00:19:08 I think it's just like a Gen Z sort of thing. You know, like just like all the things are coming. out of me all the emotions okay that makes sense yeah throwing up always used to mean like sick like oh this is disgusting like not good but gross no it's like everything is coming out yeah so they I mean she was there with Greg they were the only people that were super intimately involved with the proposal so I suppose it's not that surprising um yeah because like basically they're pretending like they were going with Greg and Victoria to a movie premiere and instead they were
Starting point is 00:19:46 going to this little theater where Nick proposed. So to have somebody that involved with your engagement, it's, you know, that makes sense. I mean, they're obviously very close. This is just, I was like, this is wild. Bachelor Nation is coming full circle again. Well, we have some baby announcements. Obviously in Bachelor Nation, we talked about Sean Booth having a baby. And now, well, we're getting a glimpse of their beautiful child. Sean Booth and Audrey call son the greatest thing that's ever happened to us. Yes, Locke's Joseph Booth was born on December 12th at they said 1313 military time because I guess because it was 1212 at 1313 and he is the greatest thing that's ever happened to us.
Starting point is 00:20:43 Sean Johnson's baby was also born at the same hospital, the same, not exact time, but same day. And the pictures of this baby are so cute. So congratulations to Sean and Dre. He's beautiful. We're going to bounce back down to some Bachelor in Paradise News. Bachelor Nation's John Henry Spurlock says he didn't make a mistake proposing to Cat Izzo. yeah i know that's really sweet it's it's honestly sweet that he says this because a proposal
Starting point is 00:21:17 obviously means a ton and it's something that people don't want to do multiple times usually and it's also something that people like you know you'd hope that you propose and at least it lasts more than six months but anyway let's just let's just get to what john says he says thanks for all the kind words and to those of you who have nothing nice to say based on what was showing own on an edited reality dating show. Just know that I don't feel like I made a mistake choosing her. Okay, so it actually, the headline, which is what people love to do with headlines, it's a little twisted.
Starting point is 00:21:56 He said he didn't make a mistake choosing her. Now proposing is possibly a different thing. He said, I never watched this back and guessed things. It's weird to say. In guest things? I guess he meant like never thought. that I would end up with cat, because then he goes, I fell for the real cat, iso, the cat who always puts my feelings first
Starting point is 00:22:17 and did everything she could to make this work. That cat is a lot, that, that cat, the cat that a lot of people truly know, but unfortunately the cat that the Bachelor Nation doesn't know. Although we decided to go different paths through an amazing woman and someone will be very lucky to have you, keep being you, keep accomplishing your goals, and enjoy this next chapter in your life in San Diego,
Starting point is 00:22:40 working as a nurse practitioner I want to know why they didn't stay together like that's the part that's not being answered here is what happened like this happened so fast and if they really like they were engaged and yes there's time between filming and airing of the show they broke up
Starting point is 00:23:00 and so I just want to know what happened in between then and how did this fall apart if they were so confident and neither of them are saying anything negative which is great yeah but we're not getting any glimpse at to like how this fell apart which would have been great again to go back to wells's point for a reunion to say where did this go wrong how did this not where did this not continue and we won't get that but good for them they're supportive of
Starting point is 00:23:27 each other uh they're proud of decisions they made just neither of them are together any longer we'll get the answers from one of them in an interview sometime soon this kind of segues us Ashley into kind of the next set of headlines. We're talking about some of some big headlines around the Golden Bachelor, but also Bachelor in Paradise. So here's the headline. And then I want to hear your opinion. Golden Bachelorette may come in spring.
Starting point is 00:23:55 Now again, hear me here may come in spring 2024, but Bachelor in Paradise might get shelved. This is not something that I want to hear just because like obviously about my husband on Bachelor on Bachelor in Paradise. It's a very, very meaningful show to me and a show that I do really enjoy watching still. I know that this season wasn't successful as far as couples go. I'm sure that the ratings
Starting point is 00:24:19 are probably the lowest that they have been. And the ratings of obviously do not compare at all to what Golden is getting. Now, this is all coming from reality Steve. So while the article that we're getting as our source is Heavy.com which is a pop culture, you know, news site.
Starting point is 00:24:41 It's reality, Steve, that's reporting this. So, you know, you can always take it with a grain of salt. So he was sharing information he heard about what ABC is considering, but nothing has been confirmed yet. He also noted that it would be probably at least two or three months before anything official emerges. Okay, so he's being careful in his words, too. Based on what he hears, he thinks that there were.
Starting point is 00:25:07 will be a golden bachelorette in 2024, and then a regular bachelorette season in March like we usually get. And then following that, there will be the golden bachelorette. He says that he expects the next season of the bachelorette to film in March, and then until early May, the way it usually does. And then production will immediately jump into filming a debut season of the golden bachelorette. Fans who are rallying for their favorite ladies from Gary's season will get a chance to be the golden bachelorette lead but no firm decision hasn't made yet though so reality steve is saying that the two people that would make sense as the bachelorette lead which is is just obvious to everybody out there would either be faith or leslie he says that his guess if it means anything would
Starting point is 00:25:58 be leslie just because of how everything went down how everything everything she said the final rose and then in my opinion because there has been more time that is past and a lot of times they don't choose the runner up because it's too fresh of a breakup given all this it seems like producers would probably like to film a little longer of a season for a golden bachelorette this time perhaps build some travel in which is something that they did not do for gary season and then he said he says that if that falls into place does that mean the bachelor in paradise is gone forever reality, Steve, doesn't necessarily think that's the case. It's just that they wouldn't be prioritizing it.
Starting point is 00:26:37 They would make sure that after Bachelorette goes right into Golden instead of right into Paradise. There's two things I see here. One is I would be bummed if Bachelor in Paradise doesn't come back. I think this was a hard season. I think it had new producers who were kind of figuring out their way. And I think the cast was, in a sense, tired. meaning you had a lot like some repeats and then some people that we've never known before
Starting point is 00:27:02 what I would love to see I'm not saying this is what would happen but what I would love to see would be take a take a year off of Bachelor in Paradise maybe that's fine yeah you get some excitement around it again then you would have maybe two groups of people plus some maybe some vets to bring in so you get like the all stars back on the beach but actually the only thing I can think about here is we used to have Bachelor Pad, and that went away and never came back. Yeah. Yep. It didn't spark as, like, much success as Paradise has. I think Paradise wouldn't be necessarily over, but I do think it might need just a little bit of a refresh, like you're saying, because we need to get the people that are in the top four on the beach. Definitely. You have to.
Starting point is 00:27:52 And so maybe if you take some years off, a year off, come back. And they're still trying to figure out where this golden thing fits in. They don't know yet. This is, you know, the Golden Bachelor was very much an experiment. If they would have known that it would have been this big of success, they would have done it four years ago
Starting point is 00:28:09 when they started announcing that they were going to try to do it. But instead they waited because I don't think they really know what it is yet. I think I know what it is. I think you know what it is. Yeah, what do you mean? It's huge and it can go on for a long time.
Starting point is 00:28:22 We said it the whole time, but whoever's in charge is not like full. I mean, they might be fully convinced now but again if they were fully convinced they would be like announcing the next bachelorette and saying yeah we're still filming it next year but here's leslie uh you know she she's gonna be around um i don't know it just feels like they're still trying to figure it out but yeah it's just weird that they have any hesitants i guess yeah definitely
Starting point is 00:28:57 What would you do if one bad decision forced you to choose between a maximum security prison or the most brutal boot camp designed to be hell on earth? Unfortunately for Mark Lombardo, this was the choice he faced. He said, you are a number, a New York State number, and we own you. We just welcomed one of my favorite people and an incomparable soccer icon, Megan Rapino, to the show, and we had a blast. We talked about her recent 40th birthday celebrations, co-hosting a podcast with her fiancé Sue Bird, watching former teammates retire and more. Never a dull moment with Pino. Take a listen.
Starting point is 00:32:22 What do you miss the most about being a pro athlete? the final, the final, and the locker room. I really, really, like, you just, you can't replicate, you can't get back, showing up to locker room every morning just to shit talk. We've got more incredible guests like the legendary Candace Parker and college superstar A.Z. Fudd. I mean, seriously, y'all, the guest list is absolutely stacked for season two. And, you know, we're always going to keep you up to speed
Starting point is 00:32:49 on all the news and happenings around the women's sports world as well. So make sure you listen to Good Game with Sarah. Spain on the IHeart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Presented by Capital One, founding partner of IHeart Women's Sports. Here's an interesting headline to me, Ashley. The Golden Bachelor winner, Teresa Nist's daughter, reveals mom's reaction to Gary Turner's X scandal. Now, if you aren't familiar, there was some information.
Starting point is 00:33:24 that was shared about Gary and his past relationships. Gary spoke to it in some interviews specifically with Katie Curick. We didn't really dive into it here because there seems to be a lot of nuance and a lot of things unknown and a lot of different opinions. And at the end of the day, Gary and Teresa are together and they're happy and they're planning a future together. And that's really what it's all about. like he wasn't cheating on anybody on this show and so there's nothing to talk about but it still
Starting point is 00:33:58 is a little bit shocking and uh teresa's daughter uh is talking about it yeah it's something that the things that came out in that article i would definitely have brought up with a future father uh i guess stepfather if it were if i were in this woman's shoes so this is what teresa's daughter says she said my mom and gary had a conversation about it and i don't exactly know the full story but you know she's absolutely good with whatever they talked about i think that there's some bit of truth to some parts of it and they're on the same page about that and that's kind of good enough for me and it's kind of the philosophy that we took here is you know they spoke about it um teresa seems to be down to continue on there with this relationship and so if she's down
Starting point is 00:34:49 and she's excited, then it's good enough for us. We're not going to be the gatekeepers. Yeah, except I'll say this. Okay. I will say this. The story, and while, yeah, we were only getting one side of the person's story, it would just make me be like, I don't know if I want to rush into marriage. Like, that's what's shocking to me with Teresa is like, okay,
Starting point is 00:35:14 because some of these things that came out about what possibly allegedly happened with Gary and this other woman that he dated after his wife died, it seemed to happen a little bit later into the relationship. So if I'd known him for just four or five months and then I was jumping to the altar, it would have made me be like, okay, I can press on the breaks a little bit. Definitely, unless they've had conversations like they're saying. And there wasn't infidelity. Yeah, I know. You know, and some of this, you know, I know that some critics have said, well, Gary sold us a story as the Golden Bachelor, and that's a story. And that's a story. and it wasn't the true story.
Starting point is 00:35:51 We don't really know what story he was telling. Like he wasn't, I mean, I watched, you know, when we watched it, yes, I realized he was a man who lost a wife, and I realized he was still emotional of that. But I don't, other than maybe him saying he hadn't kissed somebody in a long time. Like, I don't remember him leaning in. I don't even remember. But, like, that's some of the stuff that's being said.
Starting point is 00:36:15 I don't think he tried to play up this story of poor me. In fact, most of the season, especially after Teresa Date and the diner, he was more excited about what was in front of him. So there wasn't a lot of talk about what was, what happened in his past. And I told you this, Ashley. We've had long conversations about this. Even watching it and being a fan of Gary and a fan of the Golden Bachelor, he lives on a lake in Indiana.
Starting point is 00:36:42 And I know how lakes in Indiana operate. So, guys, I didn't know how lakes in Indiana operate. It gets really... Intimate. It gets... Okay, I was going to get... I was going to say sexy. Yeah, very sexy.
Starting point is 00:36:56 I don't know. Whatever you want to say, like, everybody's pontooning around with their shirts off, waving at each other and drinking at the bar. It's like...
Starting point is 00:37:02 It's a culture, apparently, that I would have had no idea about. I... You asked me, do you think Gary has dated since his wife's passing? I said,
Starting point is 00:37:11 of course he has. I don't know if he's, like, dated seriously. But I was like, I know what this is like in Indiana. Like, it is wild. It is weird. It is.
Starting point is 00:37:19 is a bunch of people all Gary's age floating around on, you know, pontooning around the lake. And they are there for one reason to have a good time. And so what, this never was shocking to me. I expected it in a lot of ways that Gary had definitely had dates or intimate interactions with other humans. And I definitely ate up the fact that he was so innocent, had never slept with anybody since his wife and all that so sure well he's he's he's he's one for all he and it's fine and it's and if that's not the case like obviously that's fine it's just that's what i thought yeah yeah well i don't know actually i'm sorry i'm sorry no it's fine it's fine don't cry uh two last headlines uh rachel recia reveals status of relationship with blake
Starting point is 00:38:15 Moines, and if she'd do a solo bachelorette season? She said that she would, she, she and Blake, no, that's not going to happen. He's still sick of dealing with me, she says. And then she said she'd only do a solo bachelorette journey if Gabby Woodley and her girlfriend, Rob, could co-host together and then slap her every time she made a bad decision. That's cute. They obviously love each other. They're the perfect people to do this together because we sat in a car with the two of them and they are, as Gabby and Rachel are just incredible friends and they like companions and they support each other in amazing ways.
Starting point is 00:39:01 And they have this way of saying things to each other that most people, they weren't really deep friends, it would be like offensive. But you can tell those two are close and they've been through it together because when they say these things to each other, they're just like, yeah, you're right. They listen to each other. So I see why she would want Gabby around. Well, final headline is this. Charity Lawson reveals when she and Dotten plan to get married and their upcoming trip. Oh, yes. They were supposed to go to Greece after the show and they're finally getting to go now that Dancing with the Stars is over. She's still doing the tour for two weeks in February. And in the meantime, she said they'll be moving and spending time with her.
Starting point is 00:39:42 her family over the holidays. And then they have sort of set a time. I don't know if there's a specific date, but the wedding will be in 2025. So that's great. I love to see another bachelor couple, bachelorette couple get married because it's been a little while since we've seen a couple from the main show get married.
