This is the Ben and Ashley I, Almost Famous Podcasts with IHart Radio.
It's another week of the Almost Famous Podcast.
Yes, this is the finale week, a huge finale when we are all celebrating, so pumped to be talking about.
It's also a holiday week.
So it's also exciting that we're going to get a few days' rest.
I hope you all are this season.
If you're not, thank you for the work that you're putting in.
Ashley, here's the thing.
I'm going to start talking and just, I'm not going to stop talking because here's why.
Yesterday I lost my wallet.
I don't know.
Now, like there's a few things in life that people really hate losing phones, wallets,
those type of things.
Like the small, like very material items that we possess that we get really addicted to.
I lost my wallet and I couldn't hardly function.
like nor like i was so stressed out knowing knowing that like it's nowhere to be found well i found
it in the corner of a garage um don't ask me how it got there it's been the multiple times i've
lost it here in the last week and uh but i now have a wallet i am so happy because love is in the
air wallets are found it's christmas miracle i'm gonna breathe now so that you can talk because i
just dominate but i'm just so excited i know i could tell how peppy you were today i'm just
I know that relief that you get.
And I'm peppy for another reason.
I'm still on Cloud 9 because of that finale.
Oh my goodness gracious.
You guys, I feel like I got engaged last night.
Maybe you didn't in all your sort of varied ways.
What was this?
Like I afterward, I was just like, oh, my God, I feel like I just experienced like something like insane in my life.
Like I feel like I got a promotion.
Like my team won the Super Bowl and I was at it.
it was so weird it was a finale that we haven't felt in so long and seriously we can go down the list
like i went down the list this morning with access let me just really briefly so we uh we had this
one which is absolutely magical and then clare and dale okay but there was like we had reservations
about clarendale right because we're like uh hello it's been less than 12 days um and then we go
back to peter season and then he ends up with like no one and then before that there was
Hannah season and there was she didn't end up with Jed and then there was Colton season and he was
with Cassie but only dating Cassie because she left him on the finale and and then before that we had
Becca and that was like pretty normal and but then before that we had Ari and that was that was also a
switcheroo and it's just like we got a bachelor fairy tale happy ending last night and my little bachelor
heart and like this is my little bachelor heart as a fan is so full it's a fan and a friend and it's just
like wow wow wow wow well hey who doesn't like a happy ending well before we start talking happy
endings uh let's uh bring on one of uh the fan favorites this season uh from the bachelorette we have the
privilege to speak with uh one of tasha suitors brendin brindon's on the line now let's bring them on
well hey brendon i mean we are so thrilled to have you on the podcast you're such a fan favorite
i feel like there's not a fan out there who had criticism of you like you've just seen like
the sweetest most endearing guy so genuine i think we were all we were all sad to see you leave
but we all very much respected the decision that you made to leave so i guess like my first question
for you is when when did you start thinking okay i should probably get out of here because we all know
it wasn't the neel lane wedding date wedding ring date you were put on that on purpose for sure for sure yeah
yeah that was uh that was definitely a strategic move from the producers i would imagine but um yeah it was
uh it happened of course the whole experience happened so fast and and i only knew tasha for around a month
And that first one-on-one date, I left there, you know, feeling like, okay, this actually could work for me.
This could be something.
And felt like this risk I took on potentially finding love in this crazy endeavor might work.
And then, you know, but there was a next level I needed to get to, obviously, to be able to propose someone and to be able to, you know, leave there engaged.
So I was looking for, you know, the next date, the next group date,
hopefully looking for another one-on-one date to, you know,
have my feelings grow to a certain level to be able to propose.
So it was basically around the, after my hometown date,
where I was super, super hopeful that her meeting my family would kind of calm some of my doubts
and bring me at ease a little bit more and having communication with my family.
them reassuring me that I'm doing the right thing.
I was so hopeful that that moment would make my feelings grow to the next level
for me to be prepared to propose.
And the whole time I was definitely fighting myself and trying to not completely self-sabotage
a situation, not completely try to just not put myself out there to protect myself.
But, yeah, unfortunately, as you saw, I was unable to do it.
Well, you know, one of the things that's super interesting is during the show, especially when you're a part of the cast and you're not the lead, you don't get a lot of time alone. There's a lot of people around all the time. So can you give us a behind the scenes look at how you started to process this? This couldn't have been easy. There had to be a lot of emotion behind kind of feeling these things and trying to figure out what the right decision was. How did you during the show and in the climate of the show come to a place where you're confident that you're making the right decision?
Yeah, so as far as time goes, I was honestly surprised with how little time I did have with Tasia and only having the one one-on-one date that we did experience together.
And, of course, the hometowns, and then if you were to go further along, you know, you had more time.
But, yeah, it was definitely challenging knowing that, you know, you have to cultivate these feelings.
and have them, you know, bring them to a certain level to leave there engaged.
So, yeah, I mean, time was was a huge factor in something that I was honestly surprised that, you know, that I didn't have more of it.
And in the time we did have, it was little pockets of 10 to 15 minutes where you're scrambling, trying to get to know each other, learn something about Tasia, you know, Tasia, what's your, and it was crazy for me is because I was so curious.
like, Tasha, what kind of food do you like?
What's your favorite movie?
You know, what do you like to do as a hobby and all this other stuff that at the end
of the day, it's not really make or break in a relationship, but it's stuff that you don't
talk about when your time is so condensed like that.
So, yeah, it was a whirlwind, but what was, I'm sorry, I lost track of the main question
there.
What did you just find time to process these feelings?
When you started to doubt that you were ready, what did that look like that we didn't
get to see yeah um definitely a lot of time with with the producers where uh it obviously wasn't
televised where um i'm speaking with the producers i'm speaking with the other guys on the show
to a certain extent where i'm like hey uh this is these are some of my thoughts this is what i'm
struggling with um i know tasha is here to find love and leave engaged and and potentially um you know
find her husband. So the last thing I want to do is pose a question to her like, hey,
would you be down to date? Would you be down to leave your boyfriend and girlfriend? And that was
that was my honestly initial thought. And some of, you know, the great producers on the show were
like, I don't think that, you know, it is probably best for you, for Tasia, for the whole
experience. She's looking for a husband. And then, you know, I quickly came to the realization that
this is probably something that I can't move forward in doing, unfortunately, because I can't give
Tasha what she's looking for and what she needs at this particular moment. And it was,
it was tough coming to terms with that, you know, knowing why I'm there, knowing, you know,
what the end result should be and then having to face that reality that I wasn't able to get there.
so brendon on our previous podcast on monday we discussed this soundbite that was significant uh tasha said
something along the lines of i can't directly quote but i thought brendon was the one or gonna be the one
did you think that there was a chance she would have chose you or do you think that was a soundbite
that was taken from earlier maybe a little out of context maybe she thought you were going to be the one
earlier on like was that like jarring to hear as the episode played on monday yeah it really was
very good question it really was um jarring and it and it shocked me a little bit to hear her say that
and i know we had a great connection and i felt very very strongly about her and she uh felt very
strongly about me of course and we had that emotional that physical connection um and again i wasn't
looking for her to necessarily constantly validate me with her words and I didn't and it wasn't
looking for her to be like I'm in love with you I want to you know if we're here together at the end
I'm going to marry you and all this stuff but um and I know she's the lead and I know she's a
bachelorette and she can't be telling everyone um you know these things and these strong bold
statements of love and all this stuff but that me watching it back yeah yeah I at least early on
Just early on, I suppose, but me watching it back, I had not the slightest idea that she felt I was the one since day one.
Or, you know, in my hometown, she had her interviews and sound bites of her saying, I could walk away with this man, I could, all these things.
And I honestly had no idea that she felt that strongly about me.
So it made it, it made it harder to watch back, seeing how she potentially felt about me and how she described us and knowing that it didn't work out.
It definitely makes it a harder pill to swallow.
How are you processing right now?
You just watch the finale.
We all did.
It's something to celebrate.
It's really, it was a really beautiful ending.
But for you, you're reliving at all and you're still fresh into this thing.
How are you doing?
I'm doing good.
I'm doing okay.
Watching how it ended was very refreshing for me,
and it kind of changed my perspective on the whole thing.
Obviously, leaving the show the way I did,
you know, I didn't leave there feeling great about it whatsoever.
Certain part of me feels like it was a missed opportunity,
something that could have completely changed the trajectory
in my life with this amazing woman.
But of course, as I stated, it's just something that I wasn't ready for, unfortunately.
But it put me at ease knowing that I feel like what happened was meant to happen.
And if I interfered with Zach and Tasia and their connection and the actual love that they had for each other and hopefully still have for each other, if I made it to the top two with my doubts and made that whole situation more.
confusing for Tasia, where I was, you know, just seeing how all in invested Zach was and where I
had still my reservation. I'm grateful that I did do what I did in order to make that last moment
there that we saw in the finale, as beautiful as it was, because those were two people that were
all in for each other. And that's exactly the way it should be.
um so you after watching monday's episode and hearing her say that and then seeing ben come back and enter the top two how do you feel like if you did stick around things would have turned out for you um you think that you would have made it to top two instead of ben um i think so i think so you know obviously no way of really knowing but i think um i don't know i know i know i know
I know Tasha and Ben had had a connection, of course, and I just don't know.
There was something that she was always wrestling with with Ben.
And I still, to this day, don't know what it was.
I can't pinpoint it, but she didn't feel 100%.
I don't know if she trusted everything he said and, you know,
and trusted that he was ready for marriage or whatever it was.
And, you know, Ben's an amazing guy, is one of my closest friends from the show.
but I just still don't know how to pinpoint how she felt about him.
So, yeah, I know we, Tasha and I had, we did have something special for sure.
And, yeah, I feel like if I was at a different place and I was able to, you know,
develop those feelings a little quicker and be able to break down my walls and allow that love
to actually come about, then, yeah, I feel like I would have made the top.
too for sure well you know you mentioned uh you know kind of breaking down the walls and one of the
things that was you know common this year and and a storyline that i think a lot of people can relate
with is getting to a place where you can fall in love again or commit to somebody again do you
have personally has the show helped you get to a place where you're excited about that or are you
in a process of still kind of building and informing yourself are you ready to fall in love again
yeah yeah it's you know when you when you go through a marriage and divorce um i think
even if you don't realize and it's something that i didn't and not until my time on the show
and obviously since that uh you subconsciously just protect yourself you know you protect your
heart and um you don't want to get hurt and it's uh you know it sounds like silly for like a 31 year
old man to say that but that's something that I had to come to terms with that that was my reality
and the show really helped me realize that and since then yeah I think the best part about it is
am I completely ready is that person in my life or am I going to meet that person I'm not sure but
I'm taking those necessary steps to to you know opening myself up being you know you
loving with with no boundaries or no guards up or no walls and you know until I meet that
special person until I'm faced with that decision again you know of a serious relationship
and engagement marriage I may never know and it's going to require a leap of faith regardless
but I'm definitely on the right path for sure when you left who did you think she was going to
end up with
I thought she was going to end up with
with Zach
I thought Ivan was a better
I thought they were a better fit together
to be honest why I could
because I thought you know Ivan was just
I feel like everything that one you
and Zach was amazing guy as well but Ivan
and Tasha their their personality seemed to
a little more similar.
Their, you know, Ivan would have followed Tasha all over the world and, and, you know,
I feel like their connection was that of one that they could be best friends and,
and obviously husband and wife.
But Zach was so passionate about Tasia.
He had no doubts at all.
And even talking with Ivan, as, you know, the final three guys, he,
had some reservations at certain points and knowing the the importance of a decision of
proposing and we had this conversation. Zach was all in 24-7, no questions asked about how he felt
what he was going to do if he made it to the end. And watching it back, there was a different
level of passion that Tasha and Zach had that Ivan didn't have with Tasia, that I didn't
necessarily allow to have with Asia, you know, unfortunately because it's my own, my own
fault. But watching it back, yeah, the passion that they shared for each other definitely was
not matched by any other other guy. The, I know we have about five more minutes here with
you. And I want to kind of get into what's next for you. But I also want to kind of get your
opinion on some of the headlines that we've been speaking about on the podcast. This week,
Rachel Lindsay, and obviously you're in this consideration too, I'd imagine, came out and said
that Ben Smith should not be the next bachelor. She's not in support of that. What do you think of
those comments? Yeah, I don't know. I've heard of that. I don't know what she's basing that off
of. Ben is an extraordinary man, and we were very, very close. Definitely towards the end,
we uh you know we worked out together we spent time together talked about life together and
what this journey was uh so i'm not sure what she's basing that off of um i think
ben would be a remarkable bachelor and and um you know definitely deserve that uh you know
there's i don't know if she's questioning things he brought to the table to the course of the
show what stuff that he talked about and and if that rubbed her the wrong way i don't know but i think
Ben would be a great bachelor.
People are going to want you to be on Bachelor in Paradise.
And it's like the obligatory question for us to talk to, you know, to ask you if you're down to do it.
You talked about, you know, I actually want to clarify something before.
You weren't ready for engagement.
And that's totally understandable.
You said you felt like you needed to work more on yourself and that this process helped you discover that.
Was that you getting over your past divorce further?
or is that just like you finding yourself in like a different place?
I think a combination of both.
You know, I've had one one relationship, day and one girl since my divorce.
And, you know, it was, I was always reluctant to give her, you know, my entire self, my entire heart.
And, you know, you think like, oh, it's just because it's not the right person.
or, you know, you just don't have this, this or that working for you in this relationship.
So, you know, it was, yeah, I think a combination of still processing, dealing with the ending of a marriage
in a relationship that I thought was going to be forever.
And also, in turn, requiring myself to, to, you know, keel up.
and be a better version of myself every day and knowing that I want a woman to look at me
when I'm down on one knee and know that I'm as complete as I possibly can be to trust the
decision that we're making moving forward. So yeah, a combination of both, I think.
Okay, so now knowing that we can go into the possibility of you being in Paradise,
with Paradise, you don't have as much pressure to get engaged and you definitely get to know
people a lot more before you do get down on one day because you have so many more hours would you
be interested in doing it uh i would definitely consider it to be honest uh how i how i'm thinking at this
particular moment um you know and i'm putting a lot of pressure on myself as far as like can i actually
um fall in love with someone in such a short amount of time and on this tv show and all this stuff and
And I would love to do it.
I would love to have the experience, but I don't know as I sit here today if that's something
that I can do and my personality will allow me to do to really, but, you know, leaving
dating is obviously a completely different story.
And I know I agreed to the Bachelorette and I agreed to being a part of this, but it was
still something so new to me and not knowing if I could like cultivate those feelings and
such a short amount of time, but I'm going to give it my all. So as far as
paradise goes, I would definitely consider it, but I think I would have to be ready to
give it my all and come in with an open heart. And that's something that I'm working towards
being ready for. Were you a fan of the show before being on it? No, no, I never really
watched a show before. I've seen random clips from my mom watching it. But yeah, that's something that
I don't regret, but at the same time, I wish I had, like, binge watched a season or two or something like that before I went on just to kind of know what I was getting myself into.
But that's something I didn't do.
And what you saw and how my story unfolded was completely true and accurate to how I felt in each and every moment.
So it was, yeah, it was, some of the other guys, like they, Damar and all these, they saw, like, seasons passed and all that stuff.
And that's something I just didn't do.
The, all right, just one more minute here.
A couple of fun questions for you.
Well, one is the things you're saying, a lot of respect for you.
I, we've talked about on the show before, how you've handled yourself and in the honesty that you've portrayed.
Your DMs are going to, I mean, they're already probably full.
but they're going to be even fuller after this episode.
And I'm, you know, Bachelor in Paradise Zavis is going to come calling.
I don't know what we're considering.
Are you like, were you third or fourth this season?
Ashley, what do you say?
Is Brendan, third or fourth this season?
He's third to me.
He's third to me.
He's third to me.
Okay, we're going to say you're third.
So you left them third.
You did some incredible things this season.
And the biggest question of all, my biggest concern about you as a person is this.
How in the world do you wear turtlenecks in 120 degree weather?
He's wearing a turtleneck now, guys, but it makes sense because he's in Massachusetts.
Yeah, it's 30 degrees now.
You concerned me.
I'm questionable, you know.
No, that's a very, very valid question.
And what I did was I prioritized fashion over comfort in the desert in Palm Springs.
And yeah, it really is like I love turtlenecks for whatever reason.
I've been wearing them for a few years now.
And definitely like inspired by some of, you know, some people in fashion and like NBA players.
They love like the turtleneck and the jacket and all that to inspire me.
But honestly, when I was packing for the show going to Palm Springs, I knew it was going to be hot, of course.
I didn't know it was going to be 120 all the time.
But I threw in like four or five turtlenecks.
I'm like, I'm not going to wear these.
From what I understand, it's like suit, tie, button up, all that good stuff.
I'm not going to wear these.
And then a couple, as you saw, like the first few row ceremonies, I had a regular tie on and everything.
And then I asked one of the producers like, can I wear a turtlenex?
I don't care.
And then from that point on, I was like, I mean, I feel way more comfortable.
You know, I feel like I'm definitely a little more stylish and more myself in the
turtlenex.
So I'm just going to let it rock and keep doing it.
That's great.
Love it.
Okay.
I know you have to go, but I really want to end asking you this question because I think
it says so much about somebody.
I always say if you were stranded on a mountain, your car broke down, who would be the guy
from your season to drop everything, drive out there, and help you?
Who would do it? Who would help me? Not who I'd want to be there? Yeah. Who would definitely
be like the guy always there to rescue you? Okay. Without a doubt and I think this is this is probably
fall, this person falls under both categories. Who would without a doubt drop everything and
come rescue me and who I would choose is definitely Joe.
uh you know yeah he's uh he one of my closest friends from the show um and and we've we've hung
out since and um he's like one of the sweetest most selfless people i've ever met in my life
and we and we had like it was funny every single uh every single night we'd have like 30 seconds
of like time that we weren't mic and every night we like walk into our rooms we'd talk for like
30 seconds before our producer would break it up.
But we like recap the day, talk about what our feelings of what's going on and everything.
And we like built the relationship from that.
We were in the same limo together.
And his last night, he kind of had an idea he was leaving or at least he wrote this letter for me that he was like,
I'm going to give you, yeah, I'm going to give you when I leave.
And he stayed for a couple weeks longer.
and the last night gave me this letter that I obviously still have to this day of just him
encouraging me, telling me, you know, how much he valued and enjoyed our time together and
that we're going to be friends for a long time. So, yeah, it was sweet. And he's a sweetheart.
Brendan, do you know how hard the girls are swooning right now? You and Joe together, the sweet
relationship. Wow, wow, wow. All right, we actually have him on later in this episode. So thanks for that
Nice transition there.
Tell them I love them, right?
Well, hey, Brendan, hey, really appreciate you.
Thanks for coming on.
Have a good holiday season and rest up.
That's been Brendan, y'all.
Thanks for coming.
Yeah, and let's hang out.
Check your DMs.
Definitely.
Definitely.
I'll see you in Warwick.
Okay, sounds good.
Bye.

Go and figure it out for yourself.
Okay.

My name is Ed.
Hello Ed.
From a very rural background myself, my dad is a farmer and my mom is a cousin.
So, like, it's not, like...
What do you get when a true crime producer walks into a comedy club?
I know it sounds like the start of a bad joke, but that really was my reality nine years ago.
I just normally do straight stand-up, but this is a bit different.
On stage stood a comedian with a story that no one expected to hear.
Well, 22nd of July 2015.
A 23-year-old man had killed his family.
And then he came to my house.
So what do you get when a true crime producer walks into a comedy club?
A new podcast called Wisecrack,
where stand-up comedy and murder takes center stage.
Available now.
Listen to Wisecrack on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts,
or wherever you get your podcast.
obviously we just had Brendan on the podcast a great interview he wasn't around for the finale
but we were we were watching it we were all watching it this is this is a finale to speak
about Ashley you open up this podcast incredibly giddy and so I'm going to throw it over
to you you take this thing where you want to take it
Okay. Well, I guess do we go to, do we go to the top where she brings Ben in and she says like,
okay, just meet me at the road ceremony?
Sure. You know, here's what we really want to get to. We really want to get to the end.
So until we get there, let's just break down what happens this episode, your thoughts,
your feelings, and then you can get giddy again.
Okay, okay. Sounds good. So yeah, when she said, meet me at the rose ceremony.
I just knew she was going to let Ben back in. I thought it was like super obvious because I just didn't
feel it with her and Ivan and poor Ivan had the the crappy Winnebago ice bath date and it's just like
you weren't vibe in it so I was like okay she's going to put Ben in because that way she could just
make sure she like figures out her feelings has no regrets at the end of this she has no what ifs
you know how many times have I said in this podcast like she's going to eliminate the what ifs
that way when she's engaged in the end she knows that like she explored every relationship to the
max amount that she felt necessary um so then at the road ceremony obviously to be Ivan's
is eliminated it's very sweet of her for eliminating these guys like in one-on-one situations
and not like at rose ceremonies this episode um she brings up the fact that they didn't share
they didn't see eye to eye on religion and i understand that religion is a is a big deal with tasha
and she probably does want her significant other to either like completely like accept
and respect her religion if not completely just agree with her beliefs
be in line with her beliefs
but I do think that that was
a bit of a cop out maybe like
a nice way of saying like hey we didn't
align on this so like
I don't think we have any future like I get it
that's definitely like on her checklist of
things that they have to match up on
but like I just think that it was a nice way
of sending him home don't you
well that's where I want to ask
the question
I was watching it with my future mother-in-law
and we
we never remember any
conversations about faith or belief between the two of them. And maybe I've missed that.
Well, it was obvious to me that it was in the fantasy suite, but that is me watching it as
somebody who's been part of the show. Like I know that definitely went down during the fantasy
suite. But then we have no background. So that's why it doesn't feel it doesn't feel so
significant maybe as we watch it and we see the breakup because we don't know where this
conversation went. We don't know if there is a complete disagreement on faith.
and belief and worldview, we don't know if they align at some level, but there's some critical
things that they just disagree on. Like, I have no clue what they were talking about there. I can make
assumptions. I can say, you know, they disagree, but I don't know any context to this. And that's
why that breakup to me fell short. We've fallen in love with Ivan and fell in love with his family.
We obviously know that Tasha and him have a connection and something was going well there.
but this breakup just felt empty to me as a viewer did it to them and that's really who matters
because i just have no clue what they were talking about i know they kept throwing the word
religion around there i don't know what that means i don't know what they mean by that yeah
well we can assume it happened in the fantasy suite and it was significant enough for her to use it
as the reason for them to break up and he seemed to understand like that's the thing that i also want
to hint to like yes it could feel like a cop out but i don't think it was because there was obviously
something that happened between them where he sat there and says I know like I get it and I
understand okay so I guess what I mean cop out I just mean like it's not he would have been
eliminated in my opinion had it been for the religion conversation or not okay fair enough
but that just fell short that's my take yeah okay so then we meet the family and Ben
Ben's up first the the family loves Ben after this I was like oh crap because you know I've been
like so team Zach and all this I'm like oh crap the
Family's not going to like Zach, and this is why she's going to have that mental breakdown before the proposal, you know, like, while she's in the dress, we, like, saw that tease of her, like, just breaking down. And then we saw that stern conversation that her dad had with her. And am I wrong in the fact that, like, I feel like that clip of the dad sternly talking to her was never aired in the episode?
No, it wasn't. He was, they showed him saying it, but he was kind of just referencing.
a care for his girl by saying hey I just want you to be smart here kind of don't make the wrong
decision I know this matters to you but it was never directed at all yeah okay so that was well that
comes later and it was a big tease for us you know like that seemed like it was going to be a dramatic
moment wasn't a dramatic moment at all if anything it felt like filler content it felt like we
were supposed to get nervous for it but there was really nothing nerve-wracking about it anyway
So, yeah, but Ben's date went so well that the dad liked.
I keep saying the dad.
It's like his, the dad was obviously, like, sort of patriarch of the family.
And Tasia just has that very sweet father-daughter relationship with him.
I felt like there was so much weight on her dad's opinion of the guys.
But it seemed like he liked both guys.
I would say that maybe Zach had more of a chemistry with the family, not like far and beyond.
I think we didn't get to see like a whole ton.
because it may have like just been if we saw like Zach super jiving with the family
then it would have just been so obvious where it was headed and they just needed to keep a
little bit of sense of mystery at that point is there anything that you felt that was really
worth mentioning about either of the the family meetings no I mean I think the one thing
worth mentioning is it was a it was a good depiction of who her
like who her mom and dad are right and the in the siblings like it went well he the dad was not
judgmental um but he had a really good grasp of kind of who these two dudes are as humans i did though
think the same thing you did i think that when he left ben i was like oh he really likes ben
but her dad is is a smart dude and i think he saw that like hey bin's a good guy but zach
when Zach speaks to well he's a man and he he speaks in a way like I know he loves my daughter
and he asks like he speaks about Tasha he doesn't just speak about himself like I think
the dad saw there is a deeper relationship thing yes I agree yeah the way you could just tell
that he was the more mature one of the two of them yeah definitely um and then like I
I just love the way that he was talking about Tasha's relationship with her dad and how important that that was for him to, like, see.
Okay, so then, yeah, Tasia's dad, that weird powwow brunch thing in the morning where we were like, okay, wow, way to scare us for no reason.
Then we go to Zach and Tasia's one-on-one, the last date of the season.
and it was such a magical one.
It was so magical.
I had to rewind it.
I wanted to watch them dance again.
The way that he looked at her.
That is what dreams are made of.
Yep.
It was so good.
It was so good.
And we're just like over here screaming,
being like, if she doesn't pick Zach,
like everything in this world is upside down.
I almost see you getting emotional.
is this is this like your fairy tale movie that you and jared like to like reenact no but this is like
i felt like i was watching a rom-com yeah so in a way i understand what you're trying to say
yes i felt like over the past couple episodes watching the two of them my heart fluttered
as if i was watching a romantic movie it just felt so good okay so the dance obviously super
magical and I feel like the word magical is like cliche but it just was magical and then we go into
the date night and it was just more of that like amazing chemistry we just feel the vibes through
the TV and Zach says he'll do whatever to hold on to the laps and the smiles that they have
and like he's he's never going to like let her go and he says that the fact that he's been nine years
sober in that anniversary was that night allows him not to run away he has to face life as it
comes his way he says he understands loyalty and commitment and he knows why he loves her and you know
she loves that he is somebody that she can just rely on you just like feel so much security in this
relationship there there's that yeah he said some things during this episode that again kind of like
went beyond the show. And that statement right there is one that like just really took me back
in the back of my seat. And all of us in the room that were watching looked at each other and said,
that's, that's good. Not just good because it's good TV. You know, he's not just saying the right
thing. What he says is this. And I think all of us should take a second and learn from Zach on this.
He says, hey, when you go through tough stuff, what I've learned is you got to sit through it.
You got to work through it. You can't run away from it. You can't act like it disappears.
It doesn't come easy. It doesn't mean things are going to get easier any faster.
But you start to learn and you grind and you work and that's where life gets raw and real.
Now, there's one word that you can summarize that statement.
Zach has matured to a place where he is starting to take accountability for his actions,
his mistakes, also his successes.
He has accountability.
He's not always a victim.
He doesn't blame everybody else around him.
He doesn't come up with excuses.
No, he is taking accountability.
And when you get to that level, you know, you can't, you can't enjoy.
anything you don't own and you also can't learn from anything that you dismiss and he isn't he's
doing both those things and that's when I said that this dude I was questionable at times about
Zach that's when it went to me and said no that dude's ready like this is good this is that's deep
and and I was learning from I was sitting there thinking hey what have I made excuse about my life
recently what have I tried to dismiss and push off to the side that I don't want to take accountability
for like I was asking myself those questions from his statement and I and that's good
Yeah. He knows himself inside and out so deeply and he's not afraid to articulate it. I just love it. I love it. So after this date, of course, such a, such a transformative sort of date. Just like, you know, she knows exactly what she's doing. She does not want to take bed on the date. She knows her heart is made up. So she goes and she, she breaks up with Ben and poor guy. It's like, so I left. I came back. I met your family. And now.
I'm just going to leave again, but he was very understanding of it.
He really, he handled it the best anybody could.
Mm-hmm.
No, I agree.
I mean, he did.
It was, uh, it was like sad because it was kind of like he's just getting like, I don't
know, beat around, kicked around a little bit.
Um, well done for Tasia.
But I, at this point in the episode, like, I'm, I don't think anybody's shocked that
Ben's going home.
We're all like, if this ends up with Ben, then this whole finale was worthless because
the whole thing's been leaning up to a beautiful ending for Z.
Yeah, and it was. So Zach picks the Neal Lane ring. He's, you know, obviously nervous because
he doesn't know what's going to happen. That whole little, like, lead up him in the car and her
out there. She doesn't have this cry fest that we all thought she was. But what was so wonderful
was seeing her chat with Chris Harrison in which she basically says, knowing Zach and how I
feel towards Zach it makes me feel like I've never been really truly in love before until him that was
awesome and we knew where that was you know we knew it was going to lead to engagement if that's how
she felt and you know Zach just did did did the damn thing you know said that he loves her
because she's a fighter a strong independent woman who believes in him and is a dork and drives him
wild. Nothing has ever felt so right in his entire life. He talks about the first date they had by
the fountain when they said that everything happens for a reason, and he knows that that reason is her.
He said that he thought a lot about what could go wrong, but he's going into this without fear.
And then, of course, Tasia says, like, the most wonderful things back that, like, you know, she loves him
so much, and she never thought that she was going to get, like, married again because she hit rock bottom.
after her last, after her divorce.
And she loves him, but it's more than that.
And then she stops and gives him a heart attack.
And then says, but this is beyond love.
This is wild love or something like that.
And then the relief on his face, so, so good.
He says he's going to choose her forever that he can't imagine a moment without her in his life.
his oh and when he stopped when he brought up his family he had to close his eyes and like
gather himself and he had to whisper about how his family hadn't seen him that happy before
and that was the moment that he knew she was the one that was just that was the moment
it just doesn't get better on TV than that moment then he drops to one knee says marry me
and they dance, you know, then, then they get the cab and the cardboard cab,
and now I can't talk anymore because it's just so cute.
And yes, I'm going to rewatch it again today because it was a magical, magical bachelor finale.
Ben, do you have anything to add?
Sorry, I just kind of went on a monologue there.
It's all good.
Now it was beautiful.
And it's something to celebrate.
We're so happy for Tation, Zach.
We'll hopefully have one of them, if not both of them, on very soon to the podcast.
give them a little time to breathe here
to celebrate themselves
and to start to become public
but just what a finale
one that like you said
we've been waiting for
the show is entertaining
not every year goes well
not every year has their happy ending
but this is one that definitely
I think we can all sit here
and say this was good
this was entertaining
it was enjoyable but it was real
and so we're wishing Tasha
and Zach the absolute best
as they move forward with their love story now
publicly and we're excited to watch it along the way um what a season it was uh you know as i said
a plus season a plus it just a really great a great time for us all well hey uh actually let's take
a little breather you collect yourselves you collect yourself take a drink of water i know you're
you're all happy over there when we come back we're actually have joe park on um to discuss
everything's going on in his life i know he just got the vaccine and also just how full his dms are

Attention passengers.
The pilot is having an emergency, and we need someone, anyone, to land this plane.
Think you could do it?
It turns out that nearly 50% of men think that they could land the plane with the help of air traffic control.
And they're saying like, okay, pull this, until this.
Do this, pull that, turn this.
It's just...
I can do it my eye.

What would you do if one bad decision forced you to choose between a maximum security
prison or the most brutal boot camp designed to be hell on earth?
Unfortunately for Mark Lombardo, this was the choice he faced.
He said, you are a number, a New York State number, and we own you.
Shock incarceration, also known as boot camps, are short-term, highly regimented correctional
programs that mimic military basic training.
These programs aim to provide a shock of prison life,
emphasizing strict discipline, physical training, hard labor, and rehabilitation programs.
Mark had one chance to complete this program and had no idea of the hell awaiting him
the next six months.
The first night was so overwhelming, and you don't know who's next to you.
And we didn't know what to expect in the morning.
Nobody tells you anything.

I won't say whitewash because at the end of the day, you know what I'm me?
but the whole pretending and, you know, it takes a toll on you.

Okay, guys, we have fan favorite Joe Park on the line.
We all love Joe.
He was an undercover sweetness of this season.
A single 36-year-old.
doctor who looks like that and has that kind of soul we're very we're very confused as to why he's
single hey joe why you single hey ashley that's that's that's a you and my mom i should talk
because she's been asking me that for a few years now um i i don't have a great answer for you um
i know it's not every girl i've dated that's that's for sure and so it's probably something to do
with me no and uh there's something but uh i'm trying to figure that also out also
But obviously, you know, still out there trying to make it happen, you know.
Well, since the show, did you, have you just been getting your inbox on Instagram
and totally full?
Like any way a woman can contact you, are you just getting overloaded?
So that's a really good question.
I don't actually, I don't use social media very often.
And I have been looking at the through the DMs for old high school friends and college.
friends and med school friends who actually have reached out and that's been one of the coolest
part of this whole experience just to reconnect with people who I I care so much about who just
you know over time you lose touch with but interspersed between those messages are a lot of messages
from women and I have no idea what to do it I don't respond to any of them just because I don't
know what do I do with that it just seems very it's very odd Ben knows what to do with it
you say hi big dog you just say hello to that now i know why you're single and i'm glad you're
single um i'm very excited because you're single so that we could watch you on our television
screens for the weeks that we did um and that makes me happy america falls in love with you joe now
my advice to you uh is to consider these dms that's how i found my fiance now she didn't
DM me, I DM'd her.
But the DMs work, buddy.
They work well.
So, hey, I want to start with this.
We obviously are celebrating Tasha's season.
And this is a season that I would say most, really for the first time that we've done
this podcast, most people are very positive on Tasia and kind of how the whole season
played out.
But if you sat here tonight and obviously now the finessey
finale's over. We all know what happened. But before the finale, did you have any clue how this
was going to end? No, I didn't. It was such a odd turn. Even starting from the very beginning,
I just want to say how weird it is to see, because we obviously spent a lot of time with all
those guys. And just from the very beginning, you talked about guys to start from the bottom,
and now they're there. I mean, these are like forgotten guys pretty much. You know, the final four
in the final three and then the final two,
these guys were afterthoughts
in the Clara portion, and now
they're on top, and it's so cool to see that
happen to such great guys.
And I definitely didn't see
how, I didn't see that one happening for sure.
I mean, it was definitely
we're great guys, but
I just thought the connection was,
might have been stronger with Ivan,
you know, from my vantage point,
but, you know, the heart wants with the heart wants,
and, you know, none of us know
the relationship fully.
just because we get these snippets, you know.
It's, well, you know, I just want to add this before we get into you, Joe,
and there's a lot to dig in with you personally,
but it's interesting, Ashley,
I don't know if you had this happen to you during your season of The Bachelor,
but, you know, I was in the final three, right?
Yeah, I was let go three, and I had no clue how it ended until I watched the finale.
Like, everybody kept it a secret.
I was very, like, I was watching the finale kind of like you were shocked at the end,
surprise at the end.
It's kind of interesting how that happens.
You can be on the show for so long, know these guys,
and then not know what ends up at all.
Yeah.
There's a limit.
To a certain number, maybe the final four or three,
you kind of know how people go.
But after that, there's a shroud of mystery that's covered.
Yeah, Jared didn't think that Caitlin ended up with anyone,
which added to the reason that he wasn't so much over her
when he joined Bachelor in Paradise.
guys and the cast of girls who were more in the loop with katelyn than the cast of guys was
we had to tell we we told him and he was like yeah i heard a katelyn ends up with no one and
we're like jared she ends up with shan so it was like a shock to him um but hey bygones right
you know we're past that jared you and jared were an awesome couple right
no one remembers that no but okay let's get into you joe so my dad's an anesthesiologist you know
that i felt like a certain kinship with you because of that um what happened when when you told
your group which which hospital do you work at in new york i'm at my mondi is down in brooklyn
in um borough park yeah okay so when you told the group um i'm going to need some time off
a chunk of time because i'm going to do the bachelorette.
How did the docs respond?
So the guy I reported directly is this elderly Indian man, and he's like, the bachelor's what?
He's like, what does that mean?
You need time off for The Bachelorette.
And I try to explain it to him.
And he's like, it was such an odd conversation.
I had to tell him, yeah, so there's like 30 some odd guys who are there for one girl.
And you go and everyone dates at the same time.
and he was like had this quizzical look and eventually I'm just like it's a TV show and they want me to be part of this TV show and it's like a crazy once-in-lifetime type of opportunity and that's kind of what got through to him and it was an odd time where elective surgeries were right past the height of COVID and yeah obviously there weren't yeah
Yeah, there wasn't that much work.
And the COVID case has actually gone down significantly from a height of around like, you know,
3,000 cases down to like 600 cases in July.
So it's actually the perfect time for me to, um, to go.
So are you, there was enough work for us.
Were you not part of the original cast with Claire that was set to record in March?
Yeah, that's, that's correct.
Oh, you were not.
Yeah, I was, uh, I'm one of the, yeah, the new guys.
How did that play out?
Like, how did that work?
Were you in casting that you, had you,
gone to a casting call or did they reach out to you randomly? How did it happen? So my, my mom actually
works for ABC, so she just asked one of the executives to, no, I'm just kidding out. Somebody from the show
reached out to me through social media. And I didn't respond for a few days. I had no idea
what it was about. It was sometime early spring. And I eventually reached out and they said,
hey, we just like to chat over the phone.
And then that led to a Zoom call and another Zoom call and another Zoom call.
And everything happened literally from like, from where I'm sitting right now, essentially.
So I didn't do anything.
There's no like, there's no travel to L.A.
And then come back here.
It was really, really easy to do it.
And I just kept rolling with it.
And then eventually they're like, hey, like, can fly out on this day.
And then I was like, all right, let's do it.
See, you need to answer those DMs.
See what happens when you answer the DM?
Yeah, listen, Ben, Ben, you might be on something.
You really might be on to something here.
So now when you go into the pre-op area and you meet your patients for the first time,
how many of them have recognized you and gotten kind of giddy?
I've been asked that before.
But think about patients who need surgery.
Most of them are like, you know, generally over 50.
And, you know, where I work, a lot of the population,
is like either Russian or Chinese or like Orthodox Jewish so not many to be honest with you
and it's kind of cool that way because they could like you know I'm judged on the merit of my
professionalism and my character as they know me and not the guy who played strip dodgeball on TV
so I'm okay with that but how many how many doctors and nurses are geeking out about your
on the show.
That's, yeah, that's probably the better question.
I think a good amount.
And it's so weird because it's like the same people I've walked the same halls with
who I've, you know, worked side by side with.
All of a sudden, like, a lot of times, like, I see people looking at me.
And then sometimes, like, at end of a shift, very respectfully,
someone will just ask, hey, can we take a selfie?
And I'm like, like, can we take a picture with you?
And I'm like, you can take a picture whenever you want.
I'll say, like, it's such a, like, you guys have been through this now.
Now you guys are, like, ingrained.
You guys are like, you know, Ashley.
Actually, when you were on set, one of the producers told me, you don't know who Ashley is?
Like, she's, I will remember these words forever.
He knows who he is.
He said, verbatim, she's bachelor royalty.
That's her his words.
Where would this expression come from?
I mean, I don't hate it.
I swear, and he knows who he is, too.
So anyway, but it is weird.
For me, it's just like, just like walking around and like,
you're just people, you know, it's just like, you want to take a picture?
Like, I always sell people, it's weirder for me that you're asking me than it is for you to ask me to take a picture.
I'm like, do whatever you want.
I don't care.
Yeah, I'll take a picture.
It's just, it's wild.
Yeah.
Well, it's a level of respect you get for going on a reality television show.
It's always the funniest thing is.
You go on a reality television, so now people really love you more than they did before.
Joe, you were beloved by Bachelor Nation.
There is no question about it.
You come off of this whole experience now, right?
And you had a good experience, I'm imagining.
It's been really good for you overall.
There's no big negatives.
There's no rumors swirling or hate really being thrown at you.
If you dug deep within yourself, how does it feel to be sitting in the place that you're sitting?
Now, having these pictures taken of you at work and knowing the positive impact you've had on people's lives, has it affected you at all as a human?
Oh, man.
I will say I'm the fact, like, I want to go back to your point, the fact that I, again, not being part of social media and not honestly following any celebrities on social media, I still, and it's so cool that I get to talk about this because something that's been on my mind.
I don't understand exactly this culture.
This, this, like, why, like, someone posted recently,
I don't know names, but somebody posted recently from the show,
they were making checks mix.
And I'm like, I kept thinking, why do you think people want to,
you, a video of you making checks mix?
Why do you actually put with a million fans, whatever?
And what am I missing about this whole world that both of those things are true?
And so I don't quite understand, but I will say this.
I don't know, and I don't know how people feel.
I mean, I do know from comments and such, and I appreciate your really kind words.
But I do think what I've, what I've, the conclusion I've come to is, like it or not,
whatever reason that I don't understand, I do have a platform.
You know, now I do have a certain amount of people who will view things I've post.
And I recently posted a video about, um,
just explaining the vaccine and how it came to be.
And then I posted something, I posted another video,
a series of Instagram stories about me getting the vaccine.
And again, these are the things that I realize, like it or not,
like there is some good, some real good that can come out of,
you know, going on this semi-silly reality TV show.
And I think that's changed my whole perspective on everything.
Isn't that cool?
Afterwards.
So we see Dr. Chris Strandberg.
He was a dentist from Ben's season.
He is on the commercials for Waterpick.
He's like their official spokesperson.
He goes on the doctors all the time to talk about dentistry.
Dr. Travis Stork, one of the hosts of the doctors, was a bachelor.
Do you see yourself kind of being another TV doctor making appearances on Dr. Oz and stuff because of your notoriety now?
I will say this.
I take, and I don't want to disparage because, you know,
Dr. Oswood, like, a cardiopathic surgeon.
He was like, he's a real, real doctor.
I don't know what Dr. Stork does, but I take, like, I think medicine really, really, really
seriously, and it is for me, like, it's such a calling, and I would never want to be put in a
position where I would have to endorse this anti-aging, hair growing, like limb-lengthening
gummy that, you know, is all the rage.
Like, I would never want to have to, like, talk about that with any type of real.
I don't want to give any credence at all.
And so I'm not sure if that's for me.
I think I will just make a couple of videos
about things that I'm interested in.
I think the public may be interested in health related
just so they're aware because I just think so much
vaccine is a great example.
So much of what people fear is the unknown.
It's like the same reason why people feel the group
fear of the dark or like a deep dark ocean.
It's like if you knew there was nothing there,
you wouldn't be afraid.
And so I think like with the vaccine,
it's as long as people have
more knowledge, they're less fearful, and then maybe a moral case taking it.
Yeah, I love that you posted about it.
It's a good segue into this.
So we have just a few more minutes left with you.
We do want to talk about the vaccine.
This is a platform that people listen to.
You have received the vaccine now.
What is your experience?
What would you tell listeners out there as the vaccine kind of starts to go through the phase one,
phase two, phase three, and it starts to reach us all?
So I've made a quick video about it, and I think I could definitely cover more in that seven-minute video that I could cover here.
But I will say there are what there, it is study.
The studies that have been done, have shown it is safe.
There's a large study.
It has now been approved in the, you know, for emergency use in the UK, the U.S., Bahrain, Canada.
And thus far, even still in this larger population of people who've gotten it,
It still hasn't shown to be that many ill effects.
There were two cases in the UK, but actually we're not sure if that was from the medication
or some of the latex component within the packaging.
So I'm going to say it's safe, but again, do the research, talk to your doctor about it
if you have any specific medical condition you're worried about.
But again, thus far, I have had no ill effects from an aside from a sore on the next day.
and I'm going to keep posting every so often just to show people,
hey, like, you know, I trust it, and I've been fine so far.
And if I'm not, I'll let you know, too.
So far, I've been good.
Yeah, well, make sure you go to Jessica, check out Joe's Instagram.
I'm assuming it's on Instagram for those videos and the updates.
And thanks for sharing with us.
And we couldn't let you go without asking the obvious.
If you are still single, and I know you hope not to be.
But in a few months, if you are,
would you be down to do Bachelor in Paradise?
Oh, man.
People love asking this question.
I don't know enough about it, to be honest with you.
I'd probably have to watch an episode or two to see what it's all about.
So I couldn't really tell you.
I'm just going to take it day by day.
Maybe answer some DMs.
Thank you, Ben, and see what happens from there.
But I wouldn't be completely opposed to it.
It's, um, it was an amazing experience. And again, there is, you know, not going to too much
detail, but like kind of what I said before, there is a potential for like real good to come out
of reality television. And, um, I don't think you can take that after granted. So I think you'd be
a very popular date choice down in, uh, Salulita. So we'll see. Thank you so much for being here
with us, Joe. Dr. Joe. Yeah, Dr. Joe, nice, man. Thank you. And, uh, we hope to see you in
Bachelor of Paradise. I mean, if you don't go, I don't know what we're going to talk about
this season of Bachelor of Paradise. You have to go, so we have content for this podcast.
Ashley, it was great seeing you again. It was really nice to meet you down in Palm Springs.
So good seeing you then. So good meeting you. I was like, watch out for this guy. You guys,
you guys were a good group of guys collectively. We're really, we're really happy with you.
Yeah, I feel lucky that it was great with guys too because I've got a lot of great friends from it.
I feel the same way.
Well, hey, thanks, Joe.
Appreciate you, ma'am.
Bye.
Thank you, Ben.

Attention passengers.
The pilot is having an emergency and we need someone, anyone to land this plane.
Think you could do it?
It turns out that nearly 50% of men think that they could land the plane with the help of air traffic control.

Hey, sis, what if I could promise you you never had to listen to a condescending finance bro?
Tell you how to manage your money again.
Welcome to Brown Ambition.
This is the hard part when you pay down those credit cards.
If you haven't gotten to the bottom of why you were racking up credit or turning to credit cards, you may just recreate the same problem a year from now.
when you do feel like you are bleeding from these high interest rates,
I would start shopping for a debt consolidation loan,
starting with your local credit union,
shopping around online,
looking for some online lenders because they tend to have fewer fees
and be more affordable.
Listen, I am not here to judge.
It is so expensive in these streets.
I 100% can see how in just a few months
you can have this much credit card debt when it weighs on you.
It's really easy to just like stick your head in the sand.
It's nice and dark in the sand.
Even if it's scary,
it's not going to go away just because you're avoiding it, and in fact, it may get even worse.

Yeah.
The very first headline is this, it's a big one, uh, really big.
See the elegant 3.25 carat engagement rings.
Zach Clark gave Bachelorette Tasia Adams.
Okay. Yeah. So it's three point five carrots. Damn. It's an emerald cut. So if you guys know
your cuts, you saw that last night. It's supposed to be very vintage in fashion. High
style. It's inspired by the 1920s. This is what Neil
and says. He said that this is what he said after his sit down with Zach. He goes, he's a very
nice guy. He's smitten with her and talked about her kindness, poise, and her honesty. He says that
he also told him that he'd been married before and Zach was very thoughtful about Tasha and
honest about respecting their individual journeys. Neil also said that he was certain, nervous,
and excited in the same time, but that the ring that he chose was classic.
bright very very elegant the emerald cut is you know a simple elegant shape and um in that's elegant
just like tasha he loved how simple it was it's massive it's so big well hey here's an interesting
side note and uh i doubt the show did this on purpose uh but you know uh what followed our last
uh global pandemic the spanish flu you know what what followed that right was it like a diamond rush or something
no it was the roaring 20s exactly what this ring is modeled after the roaring 20s where everybody went out and got super fashionable you know partied together because they've been separated for so long uh interesting and we're in the 2020 20 20s
oh this could be the new roaring 20s well hey ashley next headline is this we talked about it earlier and uh we're getting a little more information on it now back to ratatia adams says religion was one of the reason she broke up with ivan hall this according to inter name and
this according to entertainment tonight so tasha talked to lorenzima this week jealous uh she said that
she thinks that the beauty of the fantasy suites is that you have the opportunity to really talk about
the things that you might be shy about talking about on camera so okay this is definitely addressing the
questions that you had earlier they did talk about religion in the fantasy suite she said it's really
when you dive into the nitty gritty of a relationship and what the future could possibly look like sure
religion was one of those reasons, but there were multiple things that we talked about that
night that kind of didn't align. At the end of the day, I was just looking at my relationships
with Zach and Ivan, and I just saw my future with Zachary. Surprised, she didn't say
Zach Clark. She loved saying his full name. Zach Clark, Zach Clark. She said that it's where
her heart led her and I can only just lead with that, her heart. And unfortunately, her relationship
with Ipen just head-end.
The next headline is this,
and it answers another question
that we've been asking ourselves throughout this podcast.
Chris Harrison reveals why it wasn't possible
to have The Bachelorette after the final rose,
this according to E-Online.
Okay.
So I don't even,
I don't really even understand why we couldn't have
just a simple Zoom call between Harrison and Tasia
that was live.
because Chris says that the reason that they couldn't have
and after the final rose is because it's just like so
it's like painstaking it's a painstaking process you know
it's like really hard to get those live shows done
he said there was no
AFR because of the holidays and the difficulty
of bringing people together safely during this time
it just wasn't possible but hopefully we'll have AFR
back for The Bachelor
I don't know. I mean, does it really take a whole bunch of people to just have one live Zoom? I mean, don't shows do that like the Today Show all the time. Like, why couldn't we have 15 minutes or something? I don't get it. I don't either. I don't know why they're not doing it. I really would love to see this couple now, right? I mean, I think that's something all of us would like to see. So it's a little bit frustrating. However, I have a feeling that I don't know if I'm right or wrong, but
You know, Matt James' season is right around the corner and we'll talk about that in just a bit.
I have a feeling that Zach and Tasha will be showing up on that season and maybe there we'll get our first sneak.
Okay.
On the bachelor episodes of the couple.
Yeah.
That could be good.
That makes sense.
They'll have like a midseason catch up with them or something.
Yeah.
Definitely.
Well, Ashley, a headline that hits close to home and isn't ideal to talk about, but it is some Bachelor news.
just recently within the last really two hours it was announced that Carly Waddell and Evan Bass are separating after three years of marriage.
Yeah, this is obviously awkward for Ben and I to discuss because this headline popped up, you know, while we were on this podcast recording it and we are friends with both of them and we haven't had a chance to talk to them yet.
so here we are just reading a press release that our friends put out but the quote is we have made
the difficult decision to separate we will always cherish our time together and continue to have
the utmost respect for one another as we focus on what's best for the future of our family
we greatly appreciate everyone's love and support and kindly ask that you please respect our
family's privacy as we navigate through this stuff yeah it's not not ideal and um hurts to
read, not something to be celebrated, not something that is fun to talk about, but it is true.
They release their statement, their joint statement together here just not more than an hour ago.
Ashley, the bachelor's sneak peak happened and we're ready for Matt James's season.
I mean, come on.
How good does this sneak peak look?
It looks like the girls are going to be a huge focal point.
this is maybe going to be like one of those seasons where the lead almost takes a backseat to the personality filled cast these girls are dramatic they seem a little catty they're at each other's throats for a lot of this tease and then matt just seems to be in the background being like wow i'm having a hard time yeah i mean knowing matt too
he you know okay let's all listeners let's put this into perspective this man has never been on a television show before
he saw his buddy go on the show his buddy had a unique experience on this show he comes off the show and uh everybody's talking about tyler cameron so matt james kind of gets a social media falling from it
then matt james becomes a bachelor he's a terrific dude but quiet uh more reserved uh everybody loves him he gets thrown into the show
that is so overwhelming no matter who you are and how much experience you've had doing it it's overwhelming
and then he has a cast that i will say right now might be the most dramatic i mean from the sneak
peak could be the most dramatic cast that we've seen ever like it looks like they are yelling
that it looks like there's no holds bar it looks like it's everybody out for each other
it is and and i haven't watched this season nobody's watched this season yet here's my take actually
coming off of a season like this.
I don't want to see a dramatic season.
Me neither, Ben.
I was like, I don't think anybody saw that proposal
and then saw the tease and was like,
oh, I'm excited for that.
No, like we want to, like maybe some people out there,
like there always is something entertaining
and a little bit of drama.
But we've had seasons before
where it's been yelling at each other the whole time.
And it's hard to watch.
It's not fun to watch.
People are hurt in the process.
People are made fun of in the process.
It's not good for us to break down because we end up saying the wrong thing all the time because we don't know how to break it down.
Like I want to see a love story or at least the attempt at wine.
And this just felt like too much to me.
Yeah.
And I was just saying, you know, how it's been so long since we had such a happily ever after moment like we had.
And we were all just like swooning at the TV screen last night.
And we love that.
That's why we watched the show.
We watched the show for a little bit of jaw dropping.
you know sound bites and such yeah but we don't watch it for fighting and i would say that
if it's going to be a catty bunch the girls that are mature and like really there for him and the
ones that i think he's going to hit it off with are going to be the ones that stay out of it and
they'll be even brighter lights it is going to be dramatic uh season i mean they always are right but
hopefully we get through the first five weeks and like you said the the the one
that haven't been in the mix of the drama kind of rise to the top and we can start to
celebrate and make this season a little easier to watch. But no matter what, we're going to be
watching this season and talking about it with you the absolute whole time. That's what's
going to happen. So, yeah, we're going to be here. Well, hey, Ashley, on to the next headline.
You know, we've gone through the Colton and Cass situation. We know Cassie and Colton have moved
their separate ways now. And Cassie Randolph is according to people, the bachelor's Cassie Randolph shows off
her L.A. apartment before moving. The quote is, she's going to miss this place. Where is she going?
I don't know where she's going. So we know that she's still in school. Is she graduating right now?
She might be in the midst of graduating. Yeah, so that's exciting for her. And I guess that's going to
give her, you know, I think she was doing a lot of classes online this week year. So I guess she could have probably been doing it from
anywhere, but I know that Cassie, I think, prefers the beach life down in Huntington Beach, where she grew up, which is only like 45 minutes away from where her apartment is in L.A., but I think, I think just if I were to give a guess here that Cassie's going to head closer to the shore, maybe closer to family, and out of L.A. proper.
You know, I'm actually, I thought she was living with her family. I didn't know she had her own apartment.
Oh, she lives with her sister, Michelle, in the apartment.
But, yeah, yeah, but the girls are home all the time, or so it seems on Instagram.
Close family, that Randolph.
Well, hey, Sean Lowe, speaking of family, share sweet photo of kids, gives nod to wife, Catherine, trophies from the Bachelor for the people.
So cute.
Such a cute picture, but then again, what picture of their kids isn't cute?
Their kids are so, so adorable.
His caption was, these are my trophies for.
from The Bachelor, would have preferred a cash prize, but I'll take it.
Oh, that is cute, but he also, you know, they got a little, they got a little sensitive.
He goes, dad, too many kids, it's moments like these where I have to stop and thank God for his goodness.
I don't deserve these smores. Very cute.
Well, I'm telling you this. Now, these kids are absolutely beautiful. Like,
what a cute family however especially with the oldest i'm not seeing sean i know right
he doesn't look at all like them like he has this like brown curly wavy hair uh you know he's
they're but their kids are absolutely i know they're so cute he is something he looks like he
could be a little model i know that's it well hey happy for the two of them obviously a very
successful love story from The Bachelor
World. It's still celebrated by so
many today. So yes, go to
Sean Lowe's Instagram to see the
sweet photo posted
by the dad of three.
The final headline of this week
is Becca Martinez
hits Instagram once again.
Now, this with a
shall I say, like
pregnant big announcement? Not a big
announcement, Ashley? What's going on?
Not a big announcement, but she made it look like a big
announcement and gosh you I love Becca Martinez's Instagram I tell her all the time I'm like
you are one of the few people that I watch your stories from start to finish that I get excited
when there's a new one up I just think her content is I don't know what it is it's kind of magnetic
for me I just think that she's so real and she's so natural talking to her phone when I saw
this come up it was a gray gray's Christmas surprise so gray is her boyfriend and she's
holding in the still image before the video a pregnancy test with the baby. So everybody
initially thinks, oh my God, she's pregnant again and she's going to surprise Gray for Christmas
with the positive test. No, no. She goes, not this time. She throws away the test. And then
she pulls up to the front of Gray's work with a new truck. And somebody inside that works with him
said somebody's in your truck outside dude you better go check it out and then he runs outside
and sees her with the new truck and his old truck the one she's replacing was 23 years old so
very very cute a nice christmas surprise there well actually you get your boyfriend a truck for christmas
that's going to be a hard gift to top actually do you think this season topped getting a truck
for christmas or a new car let's say new car let's just say it's the bachelor equivalent to
new car for Christmas um next week is the only off week between seasons which is kind of incredible
but we will not be taking off we'll be here talking bachelor headlines and breaking down
uh matt's bunch of contestants you know we'll be doing our whole pre-judgmental thing just by looking
at pictures and bios so look forward to that never been right never even been close not even i
literally have failed at this every time but it's a blast to do it is it is funny but i always feel
bad i'm always like oh god i hate i hate judging people based on just a picture they always say
don't judge a book by its cover but that's what we do here on the almost famous podcast one week
every season and we will see you guys back there for that uh we love you so much
merry christmas and we'll see you before there's a new year until then i've been ashley
And I've been Ben. We'll talk to you soon, everybody.
