Starting point is 00:00:31 and what it means for all of us. And I get into a bit of trouble along the way. I'd say probably start bone smashing. That doesn't work. To make it look more defined. They say it works. I don't know. Listen to Skyline Drive,

I'm Deanna Pappas and I am here with producer,
Starting point is 00:02:35 Heather, and we are ready to recap. Let's marry Harry, season one reunion, lots of draw-dropping moments in this episode. I am like bursting at the seams over here. I don't know, Heather. Overall, what did you think? Do you still want to marry Harry? I don't know if I still want to marry Harry, but I'm going to go out on a bold statement and say this was maybe the worst reunion I've ever seen of any television show of all time. There were so many things. I was a little shocked at how they just let all the women go ham. And again, all I have to compare this on is like The Bachelor and The Bachelorette reunions. And we are put on our best behavior. When they sit us all up there like little dolls,
Starting point is 00:03:21 we're put on our best behavior, it's like we're better seen and not heard. And these women were not that. So I was definitely from the jump of this episode, like my mouth was hanging open of what these girls could say, their reactions and how much they let these women deep dive. Yeah, I wasn't surprised by the anger, aggression, wanting to get the feelings out. My issue more so of why I did not like this comes from the overall structure of the program. So I've watched, a million and a half reunions in my lifetime. Going all the way back to MTV used to do the first reunions for like real world and road rules back in the day. Obviously, Housewives has taken
Starting point is 00:04:11 the reunion to a whole other level. They do theirs in like a three part or sometimes for housewives. So I've watched a lot of reunions, obviously Bachelor, you know, after the final rose and women tell all as well. And my issue is, is that, you've had so many great ones done like we just listed off. This is actually not a time to try and reinvent the wheel. This is the time to actually follow something that another television show has done and execute it accurately. So we'll get into it,
Starting point is 00:04:47 but I just want to let everybody know. We are talking deep spoilers if this is a problem, like click off now. but first 40 minutes, I texted you. Harry is not in the reunion. 40 minutes of just the women talking about Harry. There was no live audience. I know because we asked if we could be in the audience for this. I was like on a work trip texting Heather,
Starting point is 00:05:15 like please fulfill all my dreams right now. I need to go. I wanted to go too. And they were like, yeah, there's not going to be an audience for this. And I was like, okay. and so, which I do think changes the vibes, you know, when people are entering the stage to silence. So that, I don't know how I really felt about that. Housewives reunions have no audience.
Starting point is 00:05:41 Everybody's already out on the stage. It doesn't really bump me then. For some reason, I felt like maybe a little bit of energy was missing. Overall, what did you think of Haley Bailey being the host of this? I actually really liked her. I have only seen her on social media. I've seen her work a couple of red carpets. I actually thought that she did a really good job.
Starting point is 00:06:03 And she's just, she's gorgeous. You know, everybody looked really gorgeous. Every one of the women looked really gorgeous. You know what I think about, and because I'm a selfish, self-centered, washed up reality star is I think I would never fit in reality TV these days. Like, I'm looking at all these women, and they are looking so gorgeous, their hair, their nails, their jewelry. And I am not. I am a jeans and
Starting point is 00:06:28 T-shirt kind of girl. I am the most, like, plain that I could possibly be. And I just thought everybody looks on point. And I remember thinking that, like, I want to look so fine for the guy who just dumped me on national television, but they all just look gorgeous, everybody. And I thought Haley Bailey did a great job. I think she's the right, the right amount of serious and, funny. And I thought this is a big, big job for her to take on. And I thought she did a good job. I don't know. What do you think? It was. I had no issues with her. I would say that I didn't see any humorous side in her. I saw all like pretty even keeled seriousness. My only thought when I was watching it was this would actually be the role that I would be okay with Alex Cooper taking. Of all the things, I was like, this is actually where you should step in. Like, and I understand,
Starting point is 00:07:29 right, she's friends with him. But I think so is Haley Bailey. She said that in the opening scene that she and Harry know each other and that they're friends. Exactly. So to me, I was like, as gorgeous as she is and as well as I think she handled herself, to me, I was like, this is actually the part where I would totally be fine with Alex Cooper coming in, doing her thing, having behind the scenes knowledge of, you know, how this show came about, her connection to Harry, being able to speak. I also think that, again, with these mentors, you know, they gave us so much of them in this season.
Starting point is 00:08:10 And then for some reason, the final episode and this reunion, I mean, they were in there for a sprinkle. Like if that, it was so quick where I was. like these mentors could have been more involved in this conversation. It started to feel really repetitive to me when I was watching and I kept being like, I kept checking and being like, how much longer? Like I kept like looking at the time. Okay. So I agree, Heather. I kept looking at my screen and I honestly, I wanted to fast forward. There was so much meat in the sandwich that I just didn't need. And as someone who is following the show for our podcast, I watched it, but there were
Starting point is 00:08:56 many countless, to be honest, that I wanted to fast forward and I wanted to get to the parts that I really wanted to see, which were Denel and Amber. Some of the other stuff I wanted to hear about, you know what I mean? But I didn't need that much of it. Also, side note, did you know that Georgia has a podcast? Oh, the ex-girlfriend. One of the mentors. No. Yeah. So I was scrolling last night as you and I were texting about the show. And of course, all in my feet is Let's Mary Harry's stuff, you know?
Starting point is 00:09:25 And there is a clip of Georgia from her podcast talking about the filming. And she still doesn't give a whole ample amount of information about the show. But she did talk a little bit more about her friendship and her relationship with Harry and why she was a good choice. But she also said that she wished the show had shown more. of that. That the mentors had this role in the show to help guide him, but that it wasn't, not a lot of it was shown. And she actually thought it was a really good piece for the show because she's friends with Harry and she knows him and she dated him. And she got to know these women more than it was shown on the television show. I don't know. I just thought the bit was, I wish I knew more
Starting point is 00:10:10 about that. When we got the reunion, I wish it wasn't so much about the drama and the clear, clear consensus that the women are not happy with Harry. I've never seen a reunion where the lead gets dumped on so much. We'll get into some of the things that happened, but I was just overall, I was surprised by things that were spoken about, things that weren't spoken about. And I was, this is what I was going to say. I was surprised there wasn't more levity.
Starting point is 00:10:49 Harry is very funny and light, I think, most of his life. And I think that this situation with him and all these girls, there's no way that it was like tense and awkward and dramatic the entire time. There had to have been more moments of levity. And something that like people love about after the final rose is the blooper real, you know? And like those kinds of moments of levity. moments. And so I wish they leaned into a little bit more of the funny, even funny stuff that happens with these girls in their interview chairs, you know, or something funny that happens
Starting point is 00:11:29 on a date. So we didn't get to see a lot of that. We just got to see like the unseen footage, too. I was like, actually could have stayed unseen. Like it was not necessarily great. But so we start out, everybody's on this giant soundstage. All I noticed, too, was that everybody was so spread out. They were trying to make it look really, really full, I think, because of, again, no audience. So if you're shooting on a giant's downstage by yourself and there's no seating for audience and you're not showing the people and the crew behind the camera, you got to really spread out that furniture, spread out those girls so that it makes it look full. But it made, when they did the wide shots, it made some of these girls look like they were
Starting point is 00:12:15 a gazillion miles away from the host, which was, I don't know, wasn't pleasing to the eye as a viewer. Yeah. But for the tight shots, it looked fine. So Haley asks all the girls, you know, why they wanted to marry Harry and if they thought he was marriage material.
Starting point is 00:12:35 And Emma starts out by being absa-fucking lutely not. And it's like, okay, here we go. Everybody knows that it was Harry. Everybody signed up for this on their own. Like, it wasn't a gotcha. And, you know, some girls have put out differing information out there on the internet. We know that Harry posted about the casting for the show. So they might not have known it was Harry when they first got approached about the show.
Starting point is 00:13:06 But eventually before they became, got on, they all knew. A hundred percent. and they might not have known about Harry or who he was, but that is like up to them. And I have worked on these shows. I have worked on shows where I was not allowed to tell the people who the host was, what the network was. And then the host just showed up at their business.
Starting point is 00:13:31 Like they actually had no idea who was doing the show up until that moment. That's wild. Those are very difficult to do. I do like that this happened, Heather, because you and I have discussed this this entire season. You knew who Harry was. Yeah, I didn't know a lot about Harry Jousey or who he was. But we've discussed this really all season about this portrayal of Harry.
Starting point is 00:13:55 We have joked about him still being a fuckboy. And then we've talked about the social media buzz about people talking about they didn't know what they were signing up for and how Harry put out that video that, yeah, you did. This is not, this is no surprise. The ones also that said they didn't know that they were getting married. And he was like, you designed your engagement rings. Like, what are you talking about? So, yeah, there's been a lot of like discourse all the way down to some of this nitty gritty stuff.
Starting point is 00:14:25 And it's like at the end of the day, you all knew that you were coming on a reality show. You all knew you were coming on a dating reality show that could end in marriage for one of you. And at some point, you either found out and were told directly, that it was Harry Jousey or it was made public knowledge and maybe people that you were talking to on the team assumed that you knew. I've never been like that on a team. If it's like public knowledge, I make sure to call my people and tell them like, hey, just in case. But I know that people claimed the same about Taylor Frankie Paul being the Bachelorette saying that, you know, some of those guys that were on her season were in the mix before she was announced. But I know personally that's how the
Starting point is 00:15:10 does it. That's how every show does it. Oh, I didn't know that about every show. I mean, that's your specialty right there. I mean, just in the sense of like, if the lead hasn't been announced publicly, then it's not being told to the people that are auditioning for said show because nobody's letting that leak out early. But once it's made public knowledge, then that means the talent is made public, you know, the people that are in the running. Sometimes they'll have you sign like an NDA in advance, but again, you have to already basically be on the show to get that kind of information. They're not going to tell you like the first time you sit down with a casting person. Absolutely. It's going to be when you're way deep into the process. I don't know who dubbed Emma like
Starting point is 00:15:55 the leader of this circus for the reunion last night, but I actually thought she did a really good job. It's funny how some girls start to really want to use their voice. at these reunions. I've been seeing her a lot on social media, too. When I am scrolling, it is a lot of her stuff. And I just, you know, you know, I have issues. And for everyone listening, you know, I have issues. I did myself a service.
Starting point is 00:16:19 And I did not follow any of these women. Oh, I was going to say, did you download TikTok finally? Nope, no TikTok for this mama. Like, are you telling, I barely showed up for this podcast this morning. You want me to spend time scrolling TikTok too. Come on, Heather. Anytime I text Dianna, uh, TikTok, she goes, Heather, I don't have TikTok. I literally click it.
Starting point is 00:16:37 and then it tries to open in Safari and it won't. And I'm like, Heather, just tell me what they say. I just, I cannot have one more thing to take up any of my free time. It's valuable. But I will say I did follow Harry Joussey because he's the star of the show. And truly, this is about him. We all signed up to watch Harry Joussey. These women signed up to come on and see Harry Joussey.
Starting point is 00:16:56 But what I appreciated from Emma was that I think that she described our boy exactly what he is. She described him as that token fuck boy, but she sees it in him. He cares deeply and that eventually he will probably be ready for this. But in this, was he? Absolutely not. I think that we said similar things, right? Like, you know, sometimes it takes a moment in a playboy's life to be the thing that actually gets him to settle down. And I've heard differing kind of things on the internet about this.
Starting point is 00:17:35 I've heard that Netflix actually came to him with the idea of the show that it wasn't the other way around, right? So it's the same thing. You can say the same stuff with The Bachelor, right? How many bachelors have we had in the history of the show who weren't ready to actually get married and get down on one knee? A thousand percent. That's why I believe the women have a better success. They're not ready. And people tend to not be ready to do something. when they don't know the person that they could possibly be. You know what I mean? It's just we're also on these shows featuring people of a certain age who have not maybe lived a lot of life in comparison to other people. So I just think it's like,
Starting point is 00:18:22 I just think Harry's getting a lot of grief or stuff. That I'm just like, let's calm down people. For the first time ever, I was like, give her a boy a break. And I have not, I have not like slacked on Harry. this entire season. But in this reunion, I literally was like, oh, let's give her a boy a break.
Starting point is 00:18:39 And to anybody listening, we are not discounting anybody's feelings, experience with Harry, upset feelings. Exactly. Absolutely not. And we will dive into all of that. But I think that there's other ways of handling this.
Starting point is 00:18:58 And this is why I say, I'm a little frustrated with the production element, less about the actual content, that and what people said because I think that the leash was given really long and not saying that they didn't deserve to say their peace. But it, doing that made it so that other people didn't get to speak. And I think that I'm left after watching this being like,
Starting point is 00:19:27 oh, I would have loved to hear so and so clear the air. I would have loved this. But I think one of the biggest bombshells, the first bombshell of the night of watching this was Juliana deciding to not show up at the reunion. Okay, so that was a quick thing for me, Heather. I had to rewind that. I had to rewind and catch that she was not showing up, that she was invited, but she declined.
Starting point is 00:19:51 Yeah. And I think that Juliana, if you're listening, I think that's a mistake. Yeah. I think that by not showing up, you're actually. validating the feelings and the thoughts and not being a part of the narrative that is then going to be talked about with you not being present. So the girls then proceed to call you performative. You know, Ellie then tells this whole elaborate story about you having, Juliana having some sort of freak out one night, slamming doors. Ellie.
Starting point is 00:20:34 claims that she at one point did not feel safe in this situation and was surprised that production kept her around after that. So, Juliana, I'm sure you're going to go to your social media and
Starting point is 00:20:49 say your piece because that seems to be what you've kind of done and will get into that as well. But I really just think that anytime somebody gets a villain edit on any show, I think that the worst thing you can do for yourself is deny opportunities for you to be on camera post
Starting point is 00:21:11 show because you're not letting people get to know you. You're not allowing for, there's no resolution. There's no ownership either. There's no ownership. The other women got to have a voice to speak on their experience, but there's no ownership on her part, Juliana's part at all, because she decided not to come. And they talked. about things that happened and things that we saw as viewers and things that we didn't see. And she could have had the opportunity. And I honestly, I hope that she just lets it go and she doesn't address any of it. She doesn't put anything out on social media because it feels a little, I want to say coward,
Starting point is 00:21:50 but that word is so harsh, but it feels a little cowardly to do that, to not show up, not sit in the reunion, not discuss what happened, what took place, her actions, but then sit behind her phone on social media and post a photo or a video of her talking about it and her rebuttal while not giving anyone else a chance to address it. Yep, I would agree with that. And we know that Juliana is living her best life and has a boyfriend that she is public with. I just went and glanced at her socials last night when I was putting this together. And, you know, she hadn't posted anything about the reunion. But I would assume that something's going to come.
Starting point is 00:22:35 The other bombshell from this little conversation that we learned is that Harry did not just sleep with Amber on the show. We know that they tried to trick us that he hooked up with Dinell. But Harry has already clarified that all they did was kiss that time they went into the closet. This happened off camera and was never spoken about. was never hinted about, which I think is also a disservice to the show
Starting point is 00:23:08 because this could have been, you know, really interesting fodder. But Abby and Harry hooked up in the back of a production van after their beach date. This was another moment for me, Heather, that my mouth was like hanging to the floor, okay? And again, having been on reality TV, there was never a moment for me where I was left alone with a man, right? Even when I was The Bachelorette.
Starting point is 00:23:40 I snuck out one night and I went and hung out with some guys down. We just like did G-rated things. We listened to music and sat by the fire and drank beer. And I got so much trouble the next day because they said our whole point is A, to get everything on camera, but also to protect you. That if something were to happen, if we weren't there to protect you, what would happen, right? 100% people. I have been in those production vans and there is always someone sitting in the van. How in the hell did they find that amount of time for the driver to get out and they had sex in the back of the van?
Starting point is 00:24:14 How? I don't know. Maybe it was a lunch break for the crew at the same time. They're eating their sandwich and so is Harry. Come on. I don't know. I had no. Trust me.
Starting point is 00:24:28 I've been on many a sets. I've been a many a handler. The last thing I'm doing is leaving somebody I'm watching unattended for that long of time in order to do that. But I don't know. I don't know how they roll on this show. She goes so far as to somewhat describe it in the reunion. I mean, not in the greatest of detail. We don't talk about them taking their clothes off.
Starting point is 00:24:55 But like, she is talking about her feelings and the mindset that she was in. in and that her next step was to get physical. I guess for me, listen, I'm no virgin. I have two kids, so you know I've had sex at least twice, right? At least. At least twice. I am not dreaming up my scenario. And again, as a single divorced woman, I still am a hopeless romantic.
Starting point is 00:25:19 I'm not dreaming up my scenario of a guy that I really like and I'm thinking about the end result of marrying him, my first time being in the back of a production van. And who knows who's watching? That's not my dream scenario for me, Heather. How did she actually enjoy that, let alone on the most basic level, have an orgasm? Well, she didn't go into the details about that, and if she did.
Starting point is 00:25:45 But we're talking about Abby who, Abby, I think you're very funny. But we're talking about spit swapping, booger-eaten Abby. Oh my God. So I feel like some of this kind of like tracks. And if I'm going to be really crass, I'm going to be crass people.
Starting point is 00:26:02 Do it. Do it. Heather's never crass. I think that she gave him a blow job. I don't think that we're talking P and the V. You don't? But she kind of, she implied that they had sex because then they have sex again later. Because she also explained the timeline that that happened, right?
Starting point is 00:26:22 And then the situation in the closet that was never shown that she gets down with Harry in the closet. Yeah, I don't remember hearing about in the closet. No, he hooked up with Abby in the van and then that night he had sex with Amber. Okay, when we hang up today, I'm going to have to go back and rewatch it and I will text you, but I, I am delusional. But I thought I heard her say they had sex again in the closet the same night he and Amber did. That would mean he had sex three times that day. Because the girls were also implying that he got way more sex than this show let on.
Starting point is 00:26:56 No, I don't know if I'm wrong, but I think it was they hooked up in the van and then that night he had sex with Amber in the bathroom. Okay. We're going to talk about because Abby and Amber are like this, peeps. They are tight. They are posting videos together. They are friendly. We find out later that they met up in Australia together. So I'm a little interested in there's a lot of animosity.
Starting point is 00:27:26 towards Dinell and her hooking up with Harry, but we seem to not have a problem with Abby who hooked up with Harry the same day as you. We'll get into it. Starting point is 00:27:57 On the new podcast Solita, we share the messy reality of traveling alone as a woman. I can wait four hours for the next bus or this random dude is offering me a ride on his motorcycle. I chose option B. I'm Julie Pinero, and I travel by myself because it's a rare space where I can say yes without asking anyone else first. I'm on a mission to reclaim the word solita, trading the pity for possibility. Every time I tried to be alone, I kept meeting people and they were like, you smiled at us. Not a lot of people smile around here.
Starting point is 00:28:31 It's when you're alone that you're. most receptive to the world as it is and not the lies you're sold about it. It can be a time where you push your limits, change your mind, or wake up to a new version of yourself. So whether you're a solo travel veteran or you're too nervous to book your first trip, I hope you listen to Solita on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Mangashit together and I'm back with a new season of the podcast Skyline Drive. This time I'm diving into a rabbit hole of peptides, organoids, blood boys, blue zones, and brain replacement to try to understand what this longevity obsession is all about and what it really means to live forever, for all of us.
Starting point is 00:29:17 I learned about some rad science. I can make a brain for you, and then we can test what draw is the best for your brain, as opposed to his brain. Here are some hard truths. I would expect Indians to age faster, but I did not expect it to be almost a four to five year acceleration. And get myself into a world of trouble. I'd say probably start bones smashing. That doesn't work.
Starting point is 00:29:45 To make it look more defined. They say it works. I don't know. Listen to Skyline Drive, How to Live Forever on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Hey, this is Hayes Davenport. And Sean Clements. We host the podcast, Hollywood Handbook, on the podcast, Hollywood Handbook on the big money players network.
Starting point is 00:30:03 Our show is extremely accessible to first-time listeners. Each week, we talk to someone in show business, aka the biz, and try to help them with their careers and see what they have to offer us. Everyone has a good time, and no one gets mad at their publicists for letting them do our show. We've had a lot of great guests like Sarah Sherman, not that great. Actually, can you help me shape this? How about we flip it on his head, right? How about we flip this script?
Starting point is 00:30:28 Okay. What is the surprise woman? who actually you think is the straight man is actually the one who's acting weird. Adam Scott, this entire time you've been expecting Adam Sandler to come to visit the show.
Starting point is 00:30:45 I would never expect, I would never set expectations for something like that to happen. If the universe allows for something like that to happen, I'm open to it. I'm always going to accept. You know, Danny McBride, fine. Yeah. It's all this fragile masculinity exuding.
Starting point is 00:31:03 I could smell it walking down the hallway, to be honest with you. I was like, is that weed? Nope. It's fragile masculinity. Ben Stiller, no. Because a lot of times, out of context, people don't get it or even know what a circle is. You know what I mean? They're like, oh, what's just a state.
Starting point is 00:31:21 Everyone's so dumb. And fake. Right, fake and also not interested. Or just like, oh, I've got my life. I don't care about your life. and a lot of other big shots that wouldn't be where they are without us. Oh, and by the way, Will Ferrell told us personally he loves the show and he wants to be a guest on every episode, but he's just so busy.
Starting point is 00:31:40 Listen to Hollywood Handbook on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. When I was 14 years old, I was kidnapped and held captive for nine months. I survived, and I've spent my life exploring how other people survive what should have destroyed them. I'm Elizabeth Smart, and these are the same. Survivor files. I just remember this low, taunting voice next to my ear saying, shut up, don't say anything. Every week, I'm with survivors who live through the unthinkable. I knew if he woke up, without a doubt, he was going to hurt me.
Starting point is 00:32:18 I started feeling that there was someone at the end of my bed, and I just started screaming. They are abducted, stalked, controlled, and nearly silenced. But these aren't stories about what's taken from them. There's stories about what it takes to make it out alive. Listen to the Survivor Files with Elizabeth Smart on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. This is what I really do want to talk about, though, because it actually does not get discussed ever again during this reunion, which I think is a gigantic fail.
Starting point is 00:33:00 And it's Sam and Harry and the entire breakup situation. how she watches back and sees that, yes, he was lying to her the entire time about hooking up with Amber. And I wrote this here because, you know, we discussed when this all happened about, you know, a polite way that Harry could have, you know, not outed Amber, but also not lied to Sam. And we gave this whole explanation on the pod of how he could have said it. And then I wrote here, OMG, Ellie gives an example on how Harry could have handled this situation. Not going to lie,
Starting point is 00:33:40 it sounds exactly like what I said in a previous episode. So Ellie's in the comments. I know that she's in the comments of our Instagram. So I would assume that she's watching or listening to the pod as well. So bravo, Ellie, for bringing up that wonderful example of how Harry could have handled the situation. One other thing I'm going to say, too, about the questions that were asked during the reunion.
Starting point is 00:34:07 So, Harry posted this, the show posted this. I think Netflix had a QR code up when the last episode ended and promoting the reunion that you could submit and write in your questions. Bravo does this all the time for Housewise reunions. You're doing a disservice by not saying who the question is from. I agree. So that's another thing where I'm like, don't reinvent the wheel. You solicited for questions. Use that.
Starting point is 00:34:45 And it also, by the way, it takes the heat off the host because you can ask some really shady questions and be like, Pink Jeep, 24 in fan involvement. It's fan involvement. and people love to hear their questions ask during these things. They could have done a whole backstage situation asking the girls' questions, you know, before and after. So I didn't really love that, that they solicited and did all that
Starting point is 00:35:15 and then didn't actually pay that off. I want to know real quick before you move on if you caught when Sam said they had all of that time to talk. And Harry, when he found out she wasn't going to sleep with him, he pretty, she literally says they didn't show it, but he does finger guns and is like, see you tomorrow at the ceremony. Yeah, I'm not going to lie. We said when we watched that episode that we were not pleased with his attitude and how he even came across in that little snippet. So I can't imagine that he looked much better extending it and showing more. Seems like his personality
Starting point is 00:35:51 really shifted. I would agree with Sam when she says that he does not deal well with confrontation because she not only remember in that conversation was confronting him again about the Amber situation, but she was also saying that he puts on a different personality for the cameras and he immediately. And then she said, and I'm not sleeping with you tonight. And it just all, you know, did a 180 very quickly. But I think if any of us needed any extra confirmation on that, all you had to do is watch the rest of this episode. Exactly. And I think that you know, the girls being appalled by his behavior and my girl, Emily, my virgin, you know, standing up and being like, you know, his personality did a 180 the second that you said
Starting point is 00:36:42 you weren't sleeping with him. I was like, yeah, I'm not going to deny that. I didn't think that was Harry's best moment. And what I'm upset with is it played out this way on the show and what did I say? I kept being like, well, they got to keep something for the reunion. Sam and Harry are going to have it out at the reunion. Nope. No. Our hosts address it here and then we never and Harry is not on stage and we never address it with Harry and this is a major downfall of this reunion. You cannot have this kind of an exit where somebody leaves the show without even saying goodbye to him and now this is the first time they're seeing each other face to face and you're not going to address it at all.
Starting point is 00:37:30 It's very badly produced. This is a moment where I was like, they don't know what they're doing. And I don't know if they ran out of time or whatever. I will say that I felt like Haley Bailey at points was feeling extremely overwhelmed. Because when somebody is speaking their truth and being emotional, you don't want to cut them off. right? But as a host, you have a job to do. And I'm going to bet that Haley Bailey had an earpiece in her ear. That's why her hair was down. And probably had somebody in her ear either feeding her questions or telling her pause, let it play out. Okay, now you can jump in. Like, this is what we do
Starting point is 00:38:19 as producers is you have to kind of like let the moment happen. But then, and I always tell this to people because talent has a really hard time doing this. There are polite ways to interrupt and move the conversation along. So, you know, it's not an easy job to do. And so I'm not knocking Haley Bailey whatsoever. I think she really handled herself well. So I'm going to hope that it was a time constraint and that they ran out of time. And that's why they didn't get to it because it's notorious for Real House Res reunions, they film over 12 hours for one reunion. Wow. It's a 12-hour filming day, which is why they're able to do it into three parts.
Starting point is 00:39:11 This was an hour and a half of the reunion. So you can imagine there was stuff edited out, of course. But you would probably guess that this was maybe a half day. Maybe it was five hours, you know. So I don't know, maybe we can talk to some of the girls about things that they felt, you know, could have been addressed in the reunion because I will say, Deanna is going to be talking to some of the ladies from the cast. I'm so excited. I'm like beside myself. I'm so excited.
Starting point is 00:39:45 It's going to be good. This is the kind of stuff that I really love about reality TV and being a fan of these shows and doing this stuff with you, Heather's because as a viewer, I need that. these little tidbits that you're giving back to me about, you know, behind the scene stuff, production that I am really unaware of. I like live for this stuff that you're telling me right now. Yeah. I mean, and I want to give the show some grace. It's a season one. And unfortunately, part of working on a season one show is also about figuring it out, you know. But that's why I say when it comes to a reunion, don't reinvent the wheel. Actually just look and follow and do the exact same thing that the other shows that you've taken bits and parts of have done. You don't have to make,
Starting point is 00:40:29 you know, a bachelor reunion where it's way too long and it's way too much found footage and highlight reels. But there's a structure, right? So it should have been, this is the structure. It should have been the women out there with the host first. Then it should have been Harry coming out, joining the women, having his one-on-one moments with the women. Then it should have been Amber joining Harry on stage and they should have had their own time together. And then final thoughts, final moments, anything that wasn't addressed. But because they did not follow a structure like that, it became like a tornado, I think. And when it starts, it's really hard to kind of like reel it back in. So we pan over to Dinell after this Sam stuff. And,
Starting point is 00:41:22 And, you know, they talk about that it was painful for her on the wedding day. I did love, did you catch when she said, you know, that the breakup was as fast as it looked like on screen? Yeah. Because we wondered that, remember? Exactly. And that's why I was like, I was like, wow, he was just really like in there, did it and like left. And I was also really surprised to hear that Danelle says, that Harry reached out to her.
Starting point is 00:41:55 We hear differing stories about this, but she says that they did talk after the breakup, that he reached out to her to check in on her. And then she says the breakup was fast, just like it looked on camera. And she says in mid-January, Harry reached out to her again to say he was single and wanted to see her.
Starting point is 00:42:19 She says they talked for a few days. he sent her flowers, and then she went to L.A. to spend time with him. She says they had sex. They said they loved each other. And then two days later, he's taking her to the airport and she says it felt off. She confronted him and he didn't give her a good answer. So she left again, heartbroken. And then they talked a few times since after that. And she says that they're in a good place. She's not really interested in exploring anything with him again. And she says that, that she kept the small ring, the first ring that he gave her. So that all seems kind of like peachy keen, right? Like buttoned up, like she doesn't have any sort of animosity is what it sounds like.
Starting point is 00:43:06 Sam, right before that, sounds like she kind of wants to get some things, you know, address because she felt stupid watching this back. So out next comes Harry and Amber. And I wrote, the vibes are not great. Their body language. it's like bad. Like they're not even holding hands. Nothing.
Starting point is 00:43:24 It's like they just are, they walk out there. And I wrote, Harry is wearing hot glasses. But I think I saw this on social media. They were like meta glasses. They were meta glasses. Right.
Starting point is 00:43:33 I'm not sure if they're going to use that footage for something in particular. You know what I mean? But they made a point. I'm sure you probably know better than me. It was a partnership of some sort that they got paid for. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:43 But that he's wearing these meta glasses. I don't know if they will later show footage that he took. You know what I mean? But he does like, look great in glasses. We said that in another podcast because in all of his social media posts, he has his cute little Harry Potter glasses on like these. He looks great in round frames. Yeah. So I actually love him in glasses. But this is, this is where the reunion became pure chaos for me at this point. Absolutely. And we're on this show, Heather, and this is where, since we're
Starting point is 00:44:14 comparing, this is where I think other reunion shows do it well and have. stuck to the rhythm of how things work. Because in this moment, oh, you can feel the tension. Like, I could feel it through my television screen. I can see the anger and frustration on Amber from the get. And what I do not like, and I have been dying to say this to you since we started this podcast recording, is that this feels very female-centered drama and Harry just sits back and lets the cats tear each other up.
Starting point is 00:44:56 Well, you know, I said at the beginning of this that my issue with this was not only about things that were not about the things that were said in this, but the things that were not said. My biggest issue, guys, with this, what has been, has gained the most fault? about this show since the last episode last week. What's been the consistent thing that everybody has talked about on the internet? That the marriage wasn't real. Thank you. I am following you right now.
Starting point is 00:45:34 I cannot wait to say something. Literally never spoken about, never addressed on this show. Why? Because it wasn't real, guys. It was not real. and this then starts to get me a little, I'm not pissed, I'm just a little like, about it because Amber has every right to be upset.
Starting point is 00:46:00 I am not devaluing her feelings. She felt, you know, that he wasn't in it the way she was. She, you know, lists off a whole bunch of things. The lying, the gaslighting, the manipulation. Emotional abuse, I believe, is used at one point. So there's a lot, you know, but she keeps talking about the marriage. She keeps it. She goes, then we were on our honeymoon and you cheated on me.
Starting point is 00:46:30 And Carrie is very confused by the word honeymoon. He's like honeymoon. And she's like, yeah, after you get married, the first trip you take is a honeymoon. And it's just like paperwork was never filed to our. knowledge. This is what the internet is reporting, that they have gone looking for the marriage certificate and the license. Harry said in videos, he signed paperwork. It was not filed. So, I'm not trying to be mean, but you were not legally married. Am I wrong? Am I wrong? No, you are absolutely right. I struggled at this part in the episode two. So I'm so glad that you brought it up
Starting point is 00:47:13 and that you said it because, oh, man, I, this is where I have to take a step back, Heather, because watching it, I got really mad at producers, right? Because I, trying to play devil's advocate. Amber appeared to be highly produced in this bit, not negating her anger and her frustration and all of the things that she said. I think every bit of that was true. You mean charged up by a producer. Yes.
Starting point is 00:47:43 100%. This is the scenario I am running out in my head. And since you have the behind the scenes knowledge, I need you to tell me if I'm on track here. But like, it felt very producer driven for her to sit there and be like on our wedding, then our honeymoon. And this and that. And Danelle, you should have reached out to me and not him. And then calling Danelle a home wrecker. Like we went through, somebody went through a list of words with her. Yeah. And, and, And whether she realizes that or not, this was very much somebody sat down with her and charged her up for sure. Thank you. Can you believe it?
Starting point is 00:48:26 He cheated on you on your honeymoon. So again, neither of us are negating her feelings. She is totally allowed to be upset, to feel embarrassed, to feel that she, was way more in it than he was to feel that that wedding, she said everything truthful and really took it seriously. I'm not saying that she didn't. But at the end of the day, the show did a disservice to the audience by not acknowledging that this was not a legally binding marriage. And that is not on the talent to do. And that's a, that is a choice that the show made because that is the most giant fodder around this show for the last week and a half.
Starting point is 00:49:15 And given the fact that they didn't even film the reunion until recently, and they have seen, right, they have seen the chatter on social media and people talking about it. They have allowed Harry to address it in his own way. I agree. They did everyone a disservice by not saying, okay, here's why we did it this way. Exactly. Yes, there was the ceremony. Yes, it was filmed.
Starting point is 00:49:38 Yes, it seemed like a wedding. But we did not file the paperwork. so this was not a legally binding contract. Exactly. So none of you will be going to get a divorce after this. Right. Listen, I know what divorce is like,
Starting point is 00:49:52 okay, this allows everyone, us as viewers, as well as the other women, to say, okay, I get it, two people who took this kind of serious,
Starting point is 00:50:03 maybe only one of us did, but that's neither here or no, they are right now. They had a tough breakup. But to, to, to sit here when she was saying all of that, like our wedding, our honeymoon, all this, I literally in my head was super frustrated for her just because that was so producer driven
Starting point is 00:50:22 to sit there and berate Harry in that moment. And berate Dinell. And berate Dinell. Yes, I am with you on that because I do not like, I am women's biggest cheerleader. Like, you tell me you wrote a book, Heather. I'm the first person to be like, let me pump it out for you. I don't like when women are pinned against each other, right? What Harry did was go on a show, let's marry Harry.
Starting point is 00:50:49 He's still in his boy era. He had a lot of fun, messing around, kissing. Was he serious? Probably not. So we all kind of got that from the show. What I don't like is that in the end here, Harry went through a show, he did what he was told. He picked one, not the other.
Starting point is 00:51:07 And then the two women were pinned against each other. I don't know how much of that was Amber, you know, really putting her expectations on Dinell or how much of that was another producer sitting with her and being like, isn't that messed up? Like, she should have come to you. She's your girl. She should have come to you and asked if you're still together. Hard Rock Bet Casino app is here, Ontario. Starting point is 00:52:08 I can wait four hours for the next bus or this random dude is offering me a ride on his motorcycle. I chose option B. I'm Julie Pinheiro. and I travel by myself because it's a rare space where I can say yes without asking anyone else first. I'm on a mission to reclaim the word solita, trading the pity for possibility. Every time I tried to be alone, I kept meeting people and they were like, you smiled at us. Not a lot of people smile around here. It's when you're alone that you're most receptive to the world as it is and not the lies you're sold about it.

Starting point is 00:53:06 This time I'm diving into a rabbit hole of peptides, organoids, blood boys, blue zones, and brain replacement to try to understand what this longevity obsession is all about. and what it really means to live forever, for all of us. I learned about some rad science. I can make a brain for you, and then we can test what draw is the best for your brain,
Starting point is 00:53:31 as opposed to his brain. Here are some hard truths. I would expect Indians to age faster, but I did not expect it to be almost a four-to-five-year acceleration. And get myself into a world of trouble. I'd say probably start bone smashing. That doesn't work. To make it look more defined.
Starting point is 00:53:51 They say it works. I don't know. Listen to Skyline Drive, How to Live Forever on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. When I was 14 years old, I was kidnapped and held captive for nine months. I survived, and I've spent my life exploring how other people survive what should have destroyed them.
Starting point is 00:54:14 I'm Elizabeth Smart, and these are the Survivor Files. I just remember. This low, taunting voice next to my ear saying, shut up, don't say anything. Every week, I'm with survivors who live through the unthinkable. I knew if he woke up, without a doubt, he was going to hurt me. I started feeling that there was someone at the end of my bed, and I just started screaming. They are abducted, stalked, controlled, and nearly silenced. But these aren't stories about what's taken.

Listen to the Survivor Files with Elizabeth Smart on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, this is Hayes Davenport. And Sean Clements. We host the podcast Hollywood Handbook on the Big Money Players Network. Our show is extremely accessible to first-time listeners. Each week, we talk to someone in show business, aka the biz, and try to help them with their careers and see what they have to offer us. Everyone has a good time and no one gets mad at their publicists for letting them do our show. We've had a lot of great guests like Sarah Sherman, not that great. Actually, can you help me, can you help me shape this? How about we flip it on his head, right?
Starting point is 00:55:32 How about we flip this script? Okay. What is the surprise woman? Actually, you think is the straight man is actually the one who's acting weird. Adam Scott. This entire time, you've been expecting Adam Sandler. to come to visit the show. I would never expect. I have. I would never set expectations for something like that to happen. If the universe allows
Starting point is 00:55:57 for something like that to happen, I'm open to it. I'm always going to accept. You know, Danny McBride, fine. Yeah. It's all this fragile masculinity. Exuding. I could smell it walking down the hallway, to be honest with you. I was like, I was like, is that weed?
Starting point is 00:56:13 Nope. It's fragile masculinity. Ben Stiller, no. Because a lot of times out of context, people don't get it or even know what a circle is. You know what I mean? They're like, oh, what's a state. Everyone's so dumb except for you. And fake. Right, fake and also not interested or just like, oh, I've got my life.
Starting point is 00:56:33 I don't care about your life. And a lot of other big shots that wouldn't be where they are without us. Oh, and by the way, Will Ferrell told us personally he loves the show and he wants to be a guest on every episode, but he's just so busy. Listen to Hollywood Handbook on the I Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Let's unpack that. Let's talk about that because I thought that Dinell actually made a really strong point for this. So just to recap really quickly, Harry and Dinell break up on the wedding day. He chooses Amber. They ride off into the sunset. Danelle says Harry reached out to me a couple of weeks later to check on me. Amber says, No, Dinell actually reached out to a producer to ask for Harry to reach out to her.
Starting point is 00:57:26 So maybe we'll get to the bottom of that in your conversations. And, but they both agree that Harry asked Amber for permission before he spoke to Dinell. Everybody seems to be in agreement on that, that everybody was in the loop. They speak, whatever, that's it. Danelle goes on to say that Amber never reached out to her, knowing that she'd been dumped that day. She says that she actually followed Amber on social media first and that Amber still didn't message her.
Starting point is 00:58:06 So she messaged her first. So when... I thought this was key information because she shares that in the same moment where Amber is really on top of her about how she should have reached out to her. She's a girl's girl. She should have checked in with her, blah, blah, blah. And I thought that that was a really solid point for Donnell to slide that in there. Well, like, okay, if we're playing the game, you didn't check in on me.
Starting point is 00:58:32 Exactly. And also, like, so basically, we're all in agreement. After they, so Harry says that he and Amber broke up in Australia. and then he gets back, this must be the mid-January thing, and he hits up Dinell to like rekindle. Amber's argument is we never broke up in Australia. We were actually still together.
Starting point is 00:58:58 And when he hit you up to rekindle, you should have reached out to me and confirmed that we were broken up. Those are unmet expectations. I disagree. I, yeah, yeah, yeah. I just don't. think that I just don't see anybody doing that. Yeah, I disagree given this situation. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:59:23 I don't think that it doesn't sound like they remained friends when filming was done. It doesn't sound like they were maybe that close through filming. To begin with, right? Amber never checks in on Dinell. So to have the expectation that if Harry reached out to Dinell is like, hey, yo, we broke up, like, I can't let you go. Could we see what happens? I don't think. I don't think. think that personally, I don't think that I would have reached out to a woman that I'm not necessarily close to, right? I would believe the man that I have these feelings for. And listen, the whole situation is messed up. Given someone who's been on a show like this, you come home and you are very confused. You are left with something unmet, these unfinished feelings,
Starting point is 01:00:04 tons of questions. I think it is a thousand percent normal for Dinell to want to see, see Harry, see if there's anything left. And I think it's normal for Harry too. Yes. I think it's normal for Harry too to be like, okay, these were my two strongest connections. We were in a weird environment. Now the cameras are gone. Maybe I need to like revisit this because I was jumbled up.
Starting point is 01:00:32 I was confused, whatever. Amber, throughout this kept saying she has proof that they were. we're not broken up. She has the proof. Amber, show it. Yeah. Like get out those text messages, post them on your stories with the time and date stamp. Show them. I want to see them. I want to believe, and I'm not saying I don't believe you, but it's going to only help your situation if you have that. So I encourage you. If you want to speak your truth, post it. My issue is don't come for Dinell. Yeah. I really don't think. that that's where your anger needs to be pointed.
Starting point is 01:01:14 I think that does that situation hurt your feelings that he went back to his runner up right after you? I think that does hurt your feelings and I think that that's okay to feel that way. I didn't like the name calling. I didn't like her calling her a homewrecker. I didn't like her saying that she, like, Dinell was like sliding in
Starting point is 01:01:39 and like trying to ask and like all of that stuff. Like it just. It felt gross. It just you're upset with Harry. Right. And then we're upset with Harry. This is where I go.
Starting point is 01:01:50 Then we're all sitting there. This is all happening. And Harry is just sitting there bouncing back and forth. Watching the circus. Well, did you see at one point somebody said, stand up, like say something. And he goes, I don't even know you be quiet. I did. I'm so glad that they showed that.
Starting point is 01:02:09 Sit down, girl. What is your name? Very typical. There were some girls that had very minimal screen time that all of a sudden find their voice when they've had time to sit back and watch the show. So, yeah, it was very uncomfortable.
Starting point is 01:02:27 So also, they go into this scenario about what happened when filming wrapped. They went to Hawaii, then they went to Australia. and they talk about that they weren't supposed to be out in public. Things got, photos got taken of them. I've seen some of these photos.
Starting point is 01:02:49 Have you seen them? Yes. I've seen the one of him with his like arm around Amber and it's the back of her head. And you can tell it's her because of her hair. And it was when they were in Australia. And these were leaked to places like Dumois and other gossip sites, which did spoil things. So this is where I push back again on the. that the marriage certificate was never filed because we were worried about spoilers.
Starting point is 01:03:14 Right. Babe, the spoilers were out. Like within days of, you know, filming wrapping. Also, I really want to say this too.
Starting point is 01:03:23 I just want to say this too. If they were really concerned about the marriage certificate being filed and spoilers, right? That's what they claim. I want everybody to know that's listening that there were a lot of guests at that wedding. Those guests had their cell phones at all times. You're really worried about spoilers?
Starting point is 01:03:49 You're confiscating phones at that ceremony. And I know that they had their cell phones because all of them started posting pictures of Harry and Amber the second the finale aired. Yeah. So I'm sure that they were under embargo to not post the photos, but if you're really that concern,
Starting point is 01:04:09 about spoilers, you're confiscating phones at something like that. So they were never really getting married. No. Heather. No. And we're all mad about this. Why? It adds a level, it tries to add a level of validity to something. And I think it continues, right? So it's like, Harry's confused when the word honeymoon is used at him. He also laughs at the end of this when the engagement ring is taken. off her finger and she throws it at him. Why is she even wearing it for the reunion? They've been broken up for like seven years. We'll have to ask her, I guess.
Starting point is 01:04:49 I don't know. Also, so, okay, so going back, so they were in Australia. They're getting accidentally photographed together. And Netflix is supposedly calling Harry and being like, this can't happen. And by the way, this does happen. Hi, on The Bachelor,
Starting point is 01:05:09 Bachelorette, remember when Caitlin Bristow spoiled her season by Snapchating herself in bed with her winner and accidentally posting it live on Snapchat instead of in a direct message? Yeah. Like, this happens and it's not okay. Like, people get, networks get very upset about this kind of stuff. I'm honestly surprised that they allowed them to be so open after the show is done filming anyway. With The Bachelor, we don't get to do that. You have these like getaways where you get to see the person that you chose. But Heather, we are shipped off, flown in differently, driven by two different people and to this like house that they have rented in the middle of nowhere, Hollywood.
Starting point is 01:05:53 And you are locked in this house for the three or four days that you get to spend time with each other. Yeah. So I'm actually surprised that they allowed this kind of freedom for the two of them. I think that Bachelor is one of the last shows to kind of do some. something like that. I've never worked on a dating show that like arranged stuff for talent post show. I think it's just that it's in your contract. Don't be spotted. If you're going to do it, be sly about it, meaning like wear wigs, go places, you know, that you're not likely to be spotted. But I mean, we just covered Farmer Wants a Wife earlier on this show. And there were tons of spoilers out about, you know, who one of them chose. I had it spoiled to me, like looking at one of
Starting point is 01:06:39 their Instagrams before it was made public because of a reflection and a photo. Like, these people spend time with each other on these shows after. If it's legit, you can't stop them. But I do believe that what Harry is saying when these spoiler pictures came out, that he was getting phone calls because that, the networks are not happy about this kind of stuff. So Harry says to counteract the spoiler news, he starts to make content with a influencer to kind of distract. And this is on the trip. Amber is there. And everybody's in agreement.
Starting point is 01:07:18 Everybody knows that this is what's happening. She flat out says at the reunion, she was cool with it. Yes. She said it out loud. But she keeps going on and on later in the conversation saying that Harry was prioritizing this woman and pushing her to the side and going off and filming content. And then Abby joins the conversation and is like, oh yeah, I actually met up with you guys in Australia on that trip. I just happened to be there. And she's like, I just ended up hanging out with Amber more than
Starting point is 01:07:50 with the two of them. And Harry's like, yeah, because all you guys wanted to do was get drunk. And we know that Harry has been very open about, you know, sobriety, exploring. that I don't know if he identifies as sober, but that he was in a phase for, I know in a chapter of life for a while where that was not a priority for him. So I feel like if he felt comfortable enough to say that on stage,
Starting point is 01:08:16 then that meant that he was not drinking at that time. Yeah. As someone who is sober, I would never put myself in a situation to sit with two other people while and watch them drink all day long. I would never. And so he also is,
Starting point is 01:08:31 basically saying like, I could not go out with you. I could not be seen with you. And does that mean, okay, I can't be seen with you? So I'm going to go film content and get seen with this other girl. Listen, it seems to be that they both have differing opinions on how much this was a priority to him and how much he was doing. Could that have felt good as a woman watching the guy that you're starting a new relationship with, go off and, you know, film and hang and spend time with somebody when you're in a different country and like, you know, I can only imagine that that probably didn't feel good. Of course not. So I understand where it's coming from, but I also think you have to be in the mindset of that
Starting point is 01:09:22 you're dating an influencer. Yeah. Harry's an influencer. That is what he does for a living. His job is to be seen out and about. Harry also gives me the vibe that he's not a home body. Yeah. Boy likes to go out and be seen and be social.
Starting point is 01:09:40 He's a little bit of a social butterfly. So he made a point to say that like when we were together, we had to be like stuck in a hotel room. And you can just hear it in his voice that like I've had enough of that. There's only so much sex, movies and room service one can handle for several days in a row. Well, also remember, he's also filmed a TV show, right? where he was not at, he was at the mercy of somebody else's schedule for him. So he's not allowed when he's filming a TV show to just leave the house or leave the hotel
Starting point is 01:10:11 room and just go out and about and do his thing. No, they do the same thing to the lead that they do to the contestants. They keep you under watch. You're not allowed to go and do whatever you want. And for him, it's actually more labor intensive because he's got to be there. Usually the lead is filming the most out of, anybody. So he's got to do, you know, background packages or B-roll or shots in his room. It's just, so I can only imagine that after he gets out of the cage of filming a show, he's like, yeah, I'm not
Starting point is 01:10:42 going to sit in a hotel room, like, during my time. And also, Australia. Right. Back in his, like, where his family, like, his family's in New Zealand, but his mom's in Australia. So I can only imagine, too, that he's, like, wanting to be out and about in a country he grew up in, you know? He probably also did not sign up to hang out with Abby. Probably. And again, I think this is really interesting. The two girlies that had sex with Harry are cool with each other. We know that they had sex on the same day.
Starting point is 01:11:19 But there's a lot of animosity towards Danelle. And if I don't know how I would act in that situation. Yeah. But I would really try to be understanding as another woman where maybe the feelings were. And I would really like to hear from Amber what it felt like to watch the show back and watch his connection with Dinell build. Because I really also didn't like it when Amber threw out, he was never going to marry you. He told me that when we were in New Zealand. That was a dig.
Starting point is 01:11:57 That was such a dig, Heather. And unnecessary. Unnecessary. There's no shortcut for saving time. But saving money is simple. Just combine your car and home insurance with Bel Air Direct and save. Get a quote at bellair direct.com. On the new podcast Solita, we share the messy reality of traveling alone as a woman.
Starting point is 01:12:26 I can wait four hours for the next bus or this random dude is offering me a ride on his motorcycle. I chose option B. I'm Julie Pinero, and I travel by myself because it's a rare space where I can say yes without asking anyone else first. I'm on a mission to reclaim the word solita, trading the pity for possibility. Every time I tried to be alone, I kept meeting people, and they were like, you smiled at us. Not a lot of people smile around here. It's when you're alone that you're most receptive to the world as it is, and not the lies you're sold about it. It can be a time where you push your limits, change your mind, or wake up to a new version of yourself.
Starting point is 01:13:07 So whether you're a solo travel veteran or you're too nervous to book your first trip, I hope you listen to Solita on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Munga shit together and I'm back with a new season of the podcast, Skyline Drive. This time I'm diving into a rabbit hole of peptides, organoids, blood boys, blue zones, and brain replacement to try to understand. and what this longevity obsession is all about, and what it really means to live forever for all of us. I learned about some rad science. I can make a brain for you,
Starting point is 01:13:45 and then we can test what draw is the best for your brain, as opposed to his brain. Here are some hard truths. I would expect Indians to age faster, but I did not expect it to be almost a four to five-year acceleration. and get myself into a world of trouble. I'd say probably start bone smashing. That doesn't work.
Starting point is 01:14:08 To make it look more defined. They say it works. I don't know. Listen to Skyline Drive, How to Live Forever on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. If your bookshelf and your for-you page are equally important to your personality, welcome home. This is Prose Society. The weekly podcast, that's part book club, part group chat for thought daughters, pop culture, upset, and anyone who thinks pride and prejudice and love island deserve the same level of discourse. I'm Eli Rallo and every week we're connecting the dots between books, the internet, and the
Starting point is 01:14:43 conversations everyone can't stop having. I'm going to have to look up this story. I'm obsessed. So I'm obsessed. From bestselling authors and your favorite book talk creators to the latest pop culture moments, nothing is off the table. It's like if you can hide some real messages inside compelling characters, then that is a Trojan horse.
Starting point is 01:15:03 you're looking for literary deep dives, smart pop culture conversations, or a community of readers who love to think a little too much, you're in the right place. Listen to pro society on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. See you between the pages. When I was 14 years old, I was kidnapped and held captive for nine months. I survived and I've spent my life exploring how other people survive what should have destroyed them. I'm Elizabeth. with smart, and these are the survivor files. I just remember this low, taunting voice next to my ear saying, shut up, don't say anything. Every week, I'm with survivors who lived through the unthinkable.
Starting point is 01:15:48 I knew if he woke up, without a doubt, he was going to hurt me. I started feeling that there was someone at the end of my bed, and I just started screaming. They are abducted, stalked, control. stalked, controlled, and nearly silenced. But these aren't stories about what's taken from them. There's stories about what it takes to make it out alive. Listen to the Survivor Files with Elizabeth Smart on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 01:16:20 So after, like, basically this takes up the biggest chunk of, you know, the reunion. And again, they just, they don't see eye to eye. Harry says that they broke up in Australia. She says that they didn't and that she's got the proof, but we don't see the proof. So, hey, babe, show the proof if you want to. Then they bring out the mentors and it's like a blip, right?
Starting point is 01:16:53 Because I'm like looking at the time. I'm like, again, I'm looking at the time and how far we've got left. And I'm like, okay, so now they're bringing out the mentors. And I'm like, thinking again, I'm like, oh, my girl, Sam is not going to get any time to talk about this because that's really what I wanted to hear. And so the mentors come out and Sunny is just, he's on another level. He's the only one who I actually think they're real friends. I mean, yeah, listen, like Amanda said, like, she's only been friends with Harry since he, you know,
Starting point is 01:17:22 was in the process of losing his dad. So that's only been within the last couple of years. Sonny, we know Harry is the godfather to his children, like, and he spends time with him. So, yeah, this guy does know him. He, Sonny calls the women classless. And he kind of reiterates what we've kind of talked about earlier on is that these women did know what they were signing up for. And they're all kind of, you know, playing this game of like not knowing. Georgia says that Harry was and does want to get married.
Starting point is 01:18:00 And Sunny and Amber kind of start to go at it because he's like, he didn't cheat. on you. Like the word cheating and like he's he's just really bumping up against that. I did go to Sonny's Instagram last night when I was looking at things and he's getting railed in the comments for standing up for Harry. I want to take us back to remember that clip we talked about in an episode where they are interviewing Harry and the mentors and Sunny is flat out. Do you remember this? Oh yeah. He said absolutely I did not like Harry's choice. Flat out. Before this is ever,
Starting point is 01:18:42 before the finale ever aired before this reunion is filmed, Sunny is seen putting it out there exactly how he says. So I expected nothing less from him in this moment. And when I say he's the only one that is a clear friend for me, they have clearly been boys for some time because this man goes to bat for Harry. just like you would expect your best friend to do. And I just appreciate the way Sunny calls it as it is. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 01:19:13 This is where I start to get like discrepancies in my own brain about like, was Amber being overly produced with all of this stuff saying this, the marriage, the cheating, all of these things. And Sunny is literally like in two seconds setting her straight. Like nah, y'all broke up. You don't get to do that to my boy. It just I, like the brutal honesty is what I can sit for. and I'm not at all downplaying what Amber experienced.
Starting point is 01:19:37 I don't at all want to do that, but I just like how Sunny is like, nope, no, we're not going to say something that it wasn't. I just feel like his comments don't hold a lot of weight because they negated to say that this marriage was not legally binding. Exactly. And you could have called it, by the way, there's other shows out there where the marriage,
Starting point is 01:20:03 portion of the show is not legally binding. And they just proceed to say throughout the series, trial marriage. Yeah. There's ways to go about this, but they were going for the shock factor. And that's why they did it. And Mary was in the title. So anyways, they wrap it up. Harry says that he does not consider this experience a failure.
Starting point is 01:20:27 And as they say goodbye, like I said, Amber goes and takes off her ring and throws it at Harry and says, here's your fucking ring, go fuck yourself. And Harry laughs it off. And he's like, and she says something like, this is it. Like, don't ever talk to me again. Like, we're done. We're done. He's like, leave me alone. Like to her. Do you know what we didn't talk about before we wrap this up?
Starting point is 01:20:50 Something that we did not even mention this episode. We're discussing the influencer that he was filming with in Australia. Okay. Did you catch this? Amber puts him on blasts and says, who is your record? current girlfriend. Yeah, well, he does say it at the end. He doesn't say who it is, but she does say that this influencer that he was filming with in Australia is the girl that he is dating now.
Starting point is 01:21:19 But they say, he says when they were in Australia, she has a boyfriend, this girl, this influencer. You heard that, right? But she, when she was going off about the influencer, even back in the, in the middle of the reunion, when she's going off. about this influencer, that's when she makes a point to say who is your current girlfriend. She says it right then and there. And I looked it up, by the way. I looked it up by the way. Did you? No. So it's not confirmed. It will be in the next 24 hours. I'm sure. It's rumored to be
Starting point is 01:21:51 this Australian influencer named Olivia something or other. She's very pretty. Shocker. She's a brunette. Shocker. So yeah, so the cameras are done rolling. Everybody's leaving. And then on the screen it says, after cameras stopped rolling, Harry had more to say. This felt, again,
Starting point is 01:22:13 badly produced. Again, it just was, it felt like an afterthought. And that's because it was. And it says Harry has, you know, he says he has gratitude for this. Even though things got fiery,
Starting point is 01:22:25 you know, at the reunion, he says he doesn't regret this experience. And then he says, he found the perfect person who he thinks he wants to become a husband for. And he kind of like leaves it at that. The host doesn't press, doesn't get any more information. So, yeah, we're going to be seeing Harry clearly going Instagram official or red carpet
Starting point is 01:22:50 official with somebody very soon. If it's this Olivia girl that it's rumored to be on the internet. But yeah, so that that's the reunion. I would love to hear what other people thought of it. 8445 almost. Leave us a message with your thoughts and opinions on it. If you have questions for any of the girls, leave us a message and you'll probably actually get your question asked correctly. Or we'll play your voicemail for them.
Starting point is 01:23:21 So if you have a question for any of the girls on Harry's cast, 8445 almost, send it to us. we are going to do this right because there's clearly a lot more that we have to talk about with these women, even though this reunion was taped this week. I still think there's a lot more out there. I sent you a text. We'll end on this. The message I sent you last night that Harry posted on his socials. Do you want to open that up and read what he had to say? All right. The message that Harry posted reads, just want to say something regarding the reunion. It became incredible. heated and was filled with unchecked chaos, and unfortunately, there were moments where it felt impossible to have a real conversation or even finish a sentence. I can handle having rings
Starting point is 01:24:12 thrown at my face. I can handle being stood over and screamed at. I can handle the name calling, the contradictions, and the belittling. But bringing my dad's death into an argument as a way to hurt me or create some sort of moment crossed a line. Losing my dad's, dad is something I'm still navigating using that loss against me was incredibly hurtful, and it is disrespect I will never accept or stand for. It's unfortunate that this journey had to end this way. I don't wish negativity on anyone involved, and I genuinely hope that we can all move forward from this. Thank you, Sunny Hinty, for being a real friend to me in that moment and for trying to make sure I had the opportunity to speak. Yeah, we didn't even get into that
Starting point is 01:24:59 grief comment and stuff, but Deanna is going to be talking with some of the ladies. And so maybe we can get some clarification. I'm sure they've all watched the reunion. They've seen the online, you know, communication and discussion. So I can't wait to dive into this. This has been fun. Again, I did like this show. I didn't like the reunion, but I did like this show. I don't know with a show like this if you get a season two, which kind of is the frustrating aspect of something like this. Ask you that because everybody's saying,
Starting point is 01:25:35 season one, season one reunion, this. Are we anticipating, are we anticipating a rollover show? Are we anticipating Let's marry Amber? I don't think so. I don't think so. I think that Harry could possibly get another show, but then it's not Let's Mary Harry
Starting point is 01:25:55 let's live life with Harry or something. I don't know. But I don't foresee Amber getting a show after this. Do I think Amber could be on TV again like her cousin and get herself on another show? Yeah, I do see that happening. But I'd like to hear from her what she feels about reality TV, how she is feeling about the idea of marriage in general after this experience since we know that she was divorced before coming into this. But yeah, Deanna, this has been so fun. And I hope we get to do
Starting point is 01:26:37 another show in the future. But this has been Let's Marry Harry Season 1. Who knows if there will be more. But yeah, stay tuned. Like I said, Deanna will be talking with some of the ladies on the show. And leave us a comment. Leave us your questions. for the ladies 8445 almost. We'll be back soon. Bye. Bye.
