Let's start with a quick puzzle.
The answer is Ken Jennings' appearance on The Puzzler with A.J. Jacobs.
The question is, what is the most entertaining listening experience in podcast land?
Jeopardy-truthers believe in...
I guess they would be Kenspiracy theorists.
That's right.
To give you the answers, and you still believe.
The Puzzler. Listen on the IHart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
This is the Ben and Ashley I, Almost Famous Podcast with IHartRadio.
Hey, everyone. Welcome to the Almost Famous Podcast. It's Ashley, and Ben is reporting to us from Mexico, not Paradise, just a nice little vacation with his friends.
Yeah, it's a nice vacation. It's great. So Jessica and I are going to.
ready to celebrate one year of marriage, just a mind blowing, mind blowing. It is mind blowing.
It's been a great year. We like to joke with each other that we have to re-up our contract after
a year of marriage because the data shows that if you make it through a year of marriage,
then if your first year goes well, then you're more likely to make it up to five years.
You're making it five years. You're very likely to make it to 15. I feel like we're flying.
So I think tonight we have contract negotiations to see if we're going to re-up this or not.
And I feel pretty good about my chances of, but you know, still stay their husband.
That's awesome.
Can I tell you that people say that the first year of marriage is the hardest?
That is a total lie.
If the first year is hard, then I'm worried for you.
The hardest year of marriage is the one in which you have a child.
That makes sense.
So let me know.
Our first year has been a lot of fun.
Report back on the contract negotiations.
after that one.
I will.
Well, the puppy, you know, we got a puppy in the first year who is actually getting neutered as we speak.
My wonderful mother is staying with Waylon in Denver.
And as we record this, I'm going to be checking my text because he is in surgery.
I am a nervous father, dog father.
And because people get mad at me when I call him my son and they're like, he's now your son, he's your dog.
Well, okay, he's my dog son.
But then also, Ash, we're down here in Mexico because my buddy, who we've talked about on the podcast, Brandon, who was diagnosed with ALS a few years ago.
This was kind of his kind of not ask, but he just kind of wanted to rally as many friends as possible to come to Mexico with him while he can still like enjoy it and have fun.
And so he is down here with his wife and a few other friends.
I do want to give this moment to give a little shout out to Brandon.
And the averages came out.
Ashley, listen to this.
If you have ALS, it costs about $143,000 a year to live with ALS to get the proper treatment and care and assistance and help.
And so Brandon kind of by he and his wife had spoken about it and then kind of came to some friends.
They're going to be launching kind of their own organization to help funderase not only for themselves but for others.
it's going to be more of an advocacy and teaching organization that's going to show and teach
people about ALS, the truth behind ALS, but then it's also really important to kind of fundraise
for yourself because it's so expensive.
Oh, my gosh.
You've got to get some money to help.
So I'm going to be talking about that as that comes out, but we're down here with them and
for anniversary.
We've had a great trip so far, but I can't, you know, I can't stay away from almost famous
podcast.
We have to jump on here and talk about these weeks, this week's episodes.
I actually feel like I'm going to have my best.
best podcast ever today because I'm in paradise while I'm talking about paradise okay cool well then
let's take a quick break and we'll dive into lace and rodney right oh boy let's go all right
lace and rodney we all saw it coming the whole audience knew that rodney was going to have to
have that really crappy talk with lace tell her that he was more into eliza we see it happen and
it was more dramatic than I think we ever anticipated.
I got to say this, though, from somebody who was down on the beach,
Lace and Rodney seemed a lot more serious there than it came across on TV.
That's fair.
I would argue, Ashley, I might disagree with you.
I, I, because I know Lace, and I know, actually, you know, like I said last week,
I'm very protective of her because of her being on my season and knowing her personally.
And knowing some of the things she is really passionate about and one of those is, you know,
relationship and commitment and finding somebody that can love her for who she is.
She is really an incredible person, but she is very emotional.
And I think for some that can be maybe like turn you off to it, but for for somebody unique
and special, I think they're going to really love her passion and her care and her desire,
her desire just to be loved well.
And I would say I'm proud of them both I don't think it was ever going to be easy
I don't think it was ever going to be clean I thought it would be full of emotion and
drama because well it's a weird situation but I felt like they both in the best way they
could they were respectful to each other they were honest with each other and it was hard
to watch, but I felt like they both did well navigating this really difficult and painful
situation. Yeah, there's always two ways to kind of handle this in Paradise. You can get really
mad. We see like Chenet gets and then you can get really sad, which is how we saw, you know,
Lysket. She says that she saw it coming. So I think she was like prepared. And then Ronnie is kind
of happy. Well, he's not happy. He feels so horrible.
that he had to you know break up with her and break her heart but he says that now he's excited
to like kind of put everything into eliza and i do want to see more of him and eliza like i i feel
like there's definitely attraction there but i need to see like a little bit more substance
yeah i uh it just is hard because uh for me i'm i'm watching this
and i know he wants to be respectful of the situation i know there's
is an attraction with Eliza. I know they have something probably what he feels like is
more serious than Lace and him had. But Lace could have easily blown up on him, kind of like
Cheney did in episode two. And she really didn't. You know, she, I think she was just, and I know
she had this gut feeling, Ashley, and I don't want to speak for Lace, it's not fair for me, too.
but I wonder if that gut feeling
is just because in the past
she's had this happen for her and so she just assumes
yeah that's what made me so sad about this
and she was like I know I'm never the girl
like I'm never the girl I always in the one
that's getting my heart broken and that makes me so sad
and that's why I think like you know those times
where you cry and you're crying initially
for one reason and then in your head
like all these other similar situations come back at you
think that's why she was crying
so hard that's the saddest it is the saddest and i and i can't wait for the day you know you
i obviously a couple years ago kind of wrote a lot about this in the book and studied it but like
you can't wait for the day then if this is really what you desire in romantic relationships for the
day that somebody comes alongside of her and shows her that um those fears don't have to exist
within her anymore and right now we're just getting to see like kind of her biggest fears and
insecurities when it comes of romantic relationships displayed on television and that is hard but
I want to ask you and I've asked you this question almost every week do you feel like anybody was
in the wrong here do you think Rodney was in the wrong for pursuing this relationship with
Liza um do you think Lace was in the wrong for trying to come up to the beach early or do you feel
like this was everybody had their reasoning and it was warranted it just was hard no it was
it was perfectly done really and it was just hard and i think somebody said in this episode you know
you can either follow your head or you can follow your heart and your heart is often like very
messy but you just got to go through with it it yeah i agree with what you were saying earlier
too about lace when she does find her person like they're going to be showered with love and
it's going to be like so amazing for her to just like bask in the glory of like a mutual
loving relationship let's let's do lace for bachelorette
How entertaining would that be?
Wouldn't it be great, though?
Yeah.
Let's go.
Yeah, let's do it.
I mean, why not?
It'd be, you know, it'd be better than what we've seen, you know, maybe the last couple years because it would be emotional.
It'd be serious.
It'd be a little wild.
It'd be wild.
And she shows and expresses everything she's feeling, even if it is always, like, the best.
view meaning like she she's not afraid to cry she's not afraid to be confused she's not afraid
to ask very poignant questions and mostly she's not she's not afraid to make fun of other
people and herself which makes it all very entertaining exactly and she's very easy to like and
and very easy to to enjoy being around uh actually to move on from the lace rodney thing because i
do think you know it ended where it ended and and we've covered it i at the end of that whole scene
the guys are kind of freaking out because Lace kind of dropped this little bomb but didn't give any
clarity to it. She's just like, yeah, there's other guys at her house and then kind of like leaves
it there. I was like, well, who's with who? Who's with who? She's like, I got to talk to Rodney. See you
later. Peace. Do you think she meant to do, like, do you think she was just like kind of like messing
with them? Or do you think she just didn't realize what she was saying and how it would just like
mess with those guys' minds? You know, coming from Lace, it really could really could
either way, but I think it was intentional.
I know, she's brilliant.
She really is smart.
She is. Yeah, she's super smart.
She's very smart. And so I haven't really, I don't know.
I just, I want, I kind of want to imagine, because I kind of am a fan of some of the
bachelor, like, some of that, like, just messing with people.
I want to imagine she was in there and she's like, you know what, if I'm going to go down,
I'm going to mess with these dudes. Some of them might be happy, some of it might be sad,
but here's the little thing I'm going to share.
Yeah, there's guys at the house.
They're having a great time.
You should go worry about it.
How would these guys ever think that the girls were just hanging in a tower without
without any other guys coming?
They were going to get all the girls and then there's going to be no guys for the girls.
Come on now.
That's so crazy.
They can't possibly even the first time that they thought about that.
But I guess it was confirmation.
And Brandon freaks out, which is hilarious.
But it's like, there's nothing to freak out about Brandon.
But it's really cute because it's kind of like his moment where he's like,
I'm not just falling in love and serene.
I am in love of serene.
I wouldn't be acting this way if I wasn't.
So it's very adorable.
And later we see their reunion.
We'll talk about that then.
Okay.
So over at the house, it's pretty embarrassing because Jesse talks to the girls.
He's like, so of all the guys, like who you like and who do you not like?
And it's a mutual consensus that nobody is vibing with.
Olu and Rick so
then Jesse goes and does the dirty work
which is actually like quite relieving for the girls
and says Olu Rick you're basically
eliminated because nobody
wants you here. It's so
demoralizing.
I mean even seeing
Rick's face if you see that
scene he's kind of like what?
Like these girls
really haven't been into anybody other than
Tyler
at this point. But they
save. They save the
Australian, which do you even remember
the Australian? Which was shocking. It was
shocking. Adam. Okay. So
I think Rick's sitting there being like, wait,
Adam hasn't talked to any of them yet. Yeah, but
he's hot. He's kind of the same place to me.
And Alu's
over there, like Alu's
tried. Like he was wanting to play chicken fight in the pool.
He was wanting to kick it with these girls and nobody
he's given any of them the time of day, really, other
than Tyler. And then Rick
and Aluhr said they're like, yeah, but you're
so far down on
their interest level that you just
got to go home.
Sorry, guys. You've been here two days in
paradise. Have a great time. You'd even see
the beach. You'd even get to the beach.
Can we talk about how underrated Alex
is? Like, in my opinion,
Alex is probably
the best looking guy of
all of Paradise. And the girls
we see, you know,
Victoria does have an interest in him,
but none of them are all over him.
Those are some loyal ladies.
They're loyal ladies.
And I know of Alex and he's one of Dean's best friends from the franchise.
They hang out quite a bit.
And so I've gotten to hear about him and be around him a little bit.
He's a great dude.
And I'm surprised, honestly, that the show got him to come to paradise in the first place.
And then I'm surprised that he was one of them that came to the state and not to the beach originally
because I feel like him coming to the beach originally would have really,
kind of been that like, uh, that desired person right away on the beach and could have created
a great story that we could have seen through the whole thing. We don't know where, you know,
Victoria and Alex go. Uh, but I, I am glad we get to see him. This is Alex's first time on
paradise. He's never been to paradise. Um, years later, he finally agrees. This can't be the first
time he's been asked. So why now is the question. I know that he's good friends with Dean. And
for some reason in my head, I always was like, oh, that guy's got to be a total.
little F boy because the way he looks like I don't know right and it doesn't seem like that at all
Bean always tells me that Alex is like a really like very focused on his job and his family and he
is at home a lot like kind of more quiet under under the radar um I mean I'm sure he has a good time
but I don't think he's just out there swinging and you know doing his thing all the time I think
He's at home a lot.
And that's why I said him surprised.
He agreed to come to Paradise,
which I'm glad he's staying in Paradise because I think there's more to learn about it.
I took a little look at his Instagram, and he has a lot of pictures with his,
his niece or nephew, and it's just adorable.
He definitely seems like a family guy.
Anyway, let's go back to the house, the beach.
Logan is now deciding who he wants to be with.
And I just, I'm sorry.
I know I met the guy in person.
Very nice.
Literally nothing, nothing, nothing wrong with him.
Nice person.
How does he have all these ladies finding?
I feel like Logan has kind of found himself in a situation where he and Jacob are obviously
in the same kind of like realm where they're single.
They haven't gotten in a serious relationship.
The ladies are fighting over him because there's not a.
a lot of other dudes left.
I'm not saying they wouldn't be fighting over Logan if there was,
you know,
more options available.
But he is kind of one of maybe three guys at the beach right now that even
has an interest in pursuing another relationship.
And so there's going to be,
the women are going to be focused on that.
I just think it's kind of the,
not the last resort,
I don't want to say.
But I do think they'd at least have an eye on it if they want to stick around
the beach.
I'm hoping, Ashley, that Kate really is into him.
I think she is at this point.
I'm hoping this just isn't a Rose relationship.
You know, I want to stake around another week kind of thing.
But I thought she really had something with Jacob.
So that switch up for me.
So weird.
And kind of out of nowhere for me.
Out of nowhere.
So weird.
She's just like, yeah, okay, just as well as you know, I don't really feel it.
I feel it more with Logan.
How do you feel about Kate in general?
because Kate gives me weird vibes
she just
she gives me
playing the game vibes
which I said yesterday
the way that she speaks
is like sort of belittling
yeah I think
who said it
I think Jacob said it
originally was she's
she's a good salesperson
there's somebody has quoted
this season saying
man I think that's what I'm getting
is the vibes that she is a good salesperson
not only does she obviously
want to be around paradise she's excited to be there you can see that um but she is kind of making
sure that she's in the game uh and she's knowing how to navigate it i'm hoping though right
that that is all kind of stopping with logan meaning that now that she's found logan she wants
to settle in a little bit and just be a part of that and see where that goes it's hard to say
because i really thought her and jacob had something and it's i was a little more invested in that
relationship based on us meeting Jill in Rhode Island and finding Jill to be so fun to be around
and so funny to be with. And after Jill and Jacob's first date, I really thought that, you know,
for him to not be with Jill was a big deal. And now that Kate has moved on from him, I'm a little
bit more just kind of upset because I was like, well, if Jacob's going to drop Jill, he better
drop it for something very serious and now that's not the case and so now i'm just saying okay well
i also was led to believe and i think i just made up this in my head that that that the jacob dumped jill
for kate but that is not what happened he just was like i i don't feel it with you completely enough
for you to be sticking around i guess um back at the house we have cheney and genevieve and they're like a
whole love match themselves. The two of them are best friends now. They're getting drunk as
heck, and they love each other. Who would have thought? Unlikely couple, but a fun moment,
a fun little Bachelor in Paradise humorous moment, which we're not getting enough of.
Yeah, these are the moments that we laugh at. I do want to know how they're getting so
intoxicated with this drink rule. Because it's two drinks an hour, so of course girls can get
drunk off two drinks an hour. Okay, that's fair. I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I,
I don't know. I don't know how that feels. I guess, yes, if I'm thinking about it. He goes, I'm not, I'm 6'4.
Yeah, that doesn't happen for me.
Imagine that you're on an airplane and all of a sudden you hear this.
Attention passengers. The pilot is having an emergency and we need someone, anyone to land this plane.
Think you could do it? It turns out that nearly 50% of men think that.
that they could land the plane with the help of air traffic control.
And they're saying like, okay, pull this, until this.
Pull that, turn this.
It's just, I can do my eyes close.

What would you do if one bad decision forced you to choose between a maximum security prison or the most brutal boot camp designed to be hell on earth?
Unfortunately for Mark Lombardo, this was the choice he faced.
He said, you are a number of New York State.
state number and we own you.
Shock incarceration, also known as boot camps, are short-term, highly regimented correctional
programs that mimic military basic training.
These programs aim to provide a shock of prison life, emphasizing strict discipline, physical
training, hard labor, and rehabilitation programs.
Mark had one chance to complete this program and had no idea of the hell awaiting him
the next six months.
The first night was over one.
And you don't know who's next to you.
And we didn't know what to expect in the morning.
Nobody tells you anything.

I'm from a very rural background myself.
My dad is a farmer.

So, like, it's not like...
What do you get when a true crime producer walks into a comedy club?
I know it sounds like the start of a bad joke, but that really was...
my reality nine years ago.
I just normally do straight stand-up, but this is a bit different.
On stage stood a comedian with a story that no one expected to hear.
The 22nd of July 2015, a 23-year-old man had killed his family.
And then he came to my house.
So what do you get when a true crime producer walks into a comedy club?
a new podcast called Wisecrack,
where stand-up comedy and murder takes center stage.
Available now.
Listen to Wisecrack on the IHeart Radio app,
Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
They are, I mean, they are having a blast.
This, you know, I don't need Ashley to see every season people getting like hammered drunk.
Maybe that's like not always the most fun to watch.
but I do miss these kind of lighthearted scenes
where people are just being ridiculous on the beach.
I did like, I mean, honestly, I enjoyed watching the scene of the men,
like, doing, like, water, what do you call it?
What, not rotter aerobics.
Was it?
Oh, it was, um, synchronized swimming.
Synchronized swimming in the, in the pool.
Like, I just like seeing their personality shine a little bit.
Me too.
And I don't think we've got enough of that.
Love it, love it.
Okay, well, the big thing that happens, I think during this episode, I think, like, the most, like, juicy thing is when Alex and Victoria go on the date, because it just, like, you feel a connection.
I certainly feel like Victoria is sitting at this table and, like, oh, it's just like an, oh, crap.
I thought I was pretty secure with Johnny, but right now, Alex is checking off all of my boxes, and this is, like, a term that they use throughout the end.
entire episode checking out the boxes checking out the bosses because every girl and I think every guy
like kind of has a list of things that they're looking for in a partner she finds that Alex is checking
off so many of those and like Johnny maybe not so much and I don't know like I feel it more
between Victoria and Alex than I do with her and Johnny maybe it's because we're not seeing a ton
of her and Johnny and I will say from like another firsthand experience situation Jared and I were like
looks like Victoria and Johnny are, like, doing well.
They're always lying together.
You know, they're always together, but they're just kind of chilling.
You know, you didn't see, like, any, like, great passion or in-depth conversations.
Like, nothing ever looked like, whoa, like, look at that romance.
Look at that connection.
And now I'm watching her with Alex, and I'm feeling that.
So I don't know.
I'm kind of scared for Johnny.
Yeah. I mean, again, it's kind of the paradise. Getting broken up within paradise is hard. It's not easy. It's frustrating. It's emotional. But when it's for a relationship that you actually believes has a chance, then I'm kind of more or less all in on it. Like, I very much support it. And I think this is one where Victoria is even saying, like Alex feels like he's in more of a place in life that I want to get to, right? Where he's at least interested in an engagement.
me he's at least interested in a family um he's older he you know he's more steady and stable
and johnny might be there too i'm not saying he's not but i think victor is just sensing he honestly
Alex is more yeah it's more somebody i want to be with he said in the last season you know his
bachelorette season he said i'm not ready to get engaged so what's us to think that six weeks
later he's ready to get serious or was he just saying that because he didn't see himself getting
engaged to gabby i don't think that's the case
actually i think he truly just like isn't ready but i do think he's like holy crap victoria fuller
like the you know sex siren victoria fuller i have the the option the you know opportunity
to be with this woman so sought after and all that like i think that maybe that changes his mind a little bit
not to you know that's not anything against gabby but i do think that in the franchise and even just like
in the public eye, like outside the franchise, like Victoria does come across as like,
uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, you know what I mean?
Yeah, I mean, she is, she's, she's a beautiful human, uh, we got to spend some time
with Victoria in Vegas. I'm a little bit upset with Victoria because everybody else there,
Genevieve and Rachel, uh, we're talking about kind of, uh, their experiences on the show,
kind of how Paradise went down. Victoria's kept really close to check. She's mysterious. So I have no
clue that's why she's so sexy if she's with
Alex or Johnny or not
like she didn't say a word
she was involved in the conversation she was
very like funny and collaborative in the
conversations but she now I look back
and I'm like she didn't tell me anything about where her
experience went so she could still be
with this dude I just have no idea
and I sometimes like to know
I'm telling you it's her mystery
that's what's one of the things that's so alluring
about her
yeah there's a lot of mystery to it
but it does feel like it's a great date.
It feels like their relationship could be something exciting.
And it doesn't have kind of the paradise passion that you oftentimes see,
I would say, like where it's like they just make out and that's all they do for an hour and a half.
It feels like their date is very much a like a normal first day, sit down,
have a conversation, get to know each other, see where your guys' interests are,
where you want to see this go
and so I do think
there's some like some
some strength to it
and it would make a lot of sense to me
I mean they relate like those two together
make a lot of sense to me because
yeah she might be kind of this
like mysterious
very attractive very like funny
witty human but then you have
Alex who might just be as
equally mysterious
as it you know he's very attractive
and we have
haven't seen a lot from him. So who knows, you know, what they bring out in each other and where
this goes from here? Yeah, why is this guy scooped up? That's my question. Uh, that's a good question.
All right, Brittany and Tyler, they're like the next couple that is forming over at Fendanta.
Tyler went on a date with Cheney last week, but basically Brittany and Tyler are saying, you know,
it's you. It's you. This is like the first couple we can like actually say has formed because of
the split they um you know it's jessinia and andrew are a thing back of the beach and now brittany
and tyler are a thing in fitzanta so it's just this is actually going to be clean you know what i mean
yeah i mean you you would expect at this point in the episode you expect it to be clean because
of how it's set up uh i thought andrew and brittney had something i'm actually very surprised they're
very cute.
Yeah, where this is going.
I do want to spend, and it is kind of the closing scene of this episode.
I think it's where we could probably end our breakdown of this episode because I think
it's the last really important storyline that we haven't covered.
But, you know, Sheney still feels, and Ashley, I want to dig into this little bit,
she still obviously feels like there is something between her and Tyler.
There is a weird statement, though, that happens before the scene where Tyler and Brittany are making out, where Cheney is talking to Genevieve and saying, I know Logan's not with anybody else in the beach, because if he is, I would cut off his and it bleeps it out.
So I don't know what she says.
I have an assumption of what she's going to cut off if he's with somebody else.
And I'm one, at this point, I'm very confused.
And you need to help me understand this, because why would she be upset with Lois?
for moving on from her when she in her mind has moved on to Tyler or has she really
moved on to Tyler and is she just more oddly protective and wanting like Tyler and Logan
but it's not making sense to me because in one voice she sounds like she's still in the Logan
and wants to be with Logan and doesn't want Logan to date anybody else and the other voice
it sounds like she doesn't want Britney to date Tyler and she wants Tyler to be with her
but yet the Tyler-R-Shernet connection has been gone since that date.
We haven't seen anything since that date.
And so you've got to help me make sense of this.
My interpretation is just that she doesn't want anybody with Tyler
because she went on the date with him,
kind of like claimed him in her head.
And then she's still waiting to be with Logan.
Like she kind of wants all of her options.
Basically, she wants to be like,
I am going to make the choice between whether I want to be with Tyler
or whether I want to be with Logan.
And she just doesn't like that Logan is now seemingly off the table.
Yeah.
Yeah. I mean, I'm not saying it's like right or makes sense, but like it's a girl's brain. And it's a guy's brain too. You know, this is just like we're in paradise. Things are getting competitive. She doesn't want to like feel like she's being rejected by anyone. But she's obviously in front of her face. Yeah. The competition is is there. And she's like looking at this as like she lost one of the competitions to Brittany.
Yeah. Okay. That makes sense.
that it's more of a competition feel.
The whole idea of it doesn't make sense to me
because I was like, okay, she's going after Tyler now.
This whole Logan thing, whatever he's worried about, you know, is done.
She's going to come back to the beach and have moved on from him.
So that's all good.
Now she's focused on Tyler, but then she makes these statements.
I'm like, so she's still in the Logan, still into Tyler.
But shit, she feels like she's more into Tyler right now because he's who's in front of her.
The Brittany and Tyler connection, it's obviously there.
And I think it's been there since night one.
He, you know, this, the Cheney date kind of like, was like, kind of missed it up a little bit.
A detour. Yeah, a little detour.
A detour.
But I always felt like there was no shot Tyler and Brittany weren't going to get back together.
Like their chemistry and how they, like, talked on the first night, felt like it was always something that was going to pull them back together.
I do think this relationship makes a lot of sense.
I don't understand still why Cheney is going to be so mad and confrontational on it.
I think she's just being emotional.
yeah that makes it and it was the day they were like drinking so i mean there we go
that's what it was that's what it was uh i also just want to add about that comment about cutting
off his thing that is a little strange that she i think it's a little strange that she feels
so certain that logan is hers when she goes back because they were never super strong
she never was like I at the end of it all she was like yeah I choose you right but she was always
in between him and like someone else James James so is it I mean she was with James up until the
moment she picked Logan exactly yeah the whole thing I don't think you know you have to kind of
like disregard some of the emotion behind it and say okay what's the actual storyline yeah she was
with James. She chose Logan last minute. Next day they split up. Uh, the relationship isn't super
strong. It doesn't have a lot of like backstory to it. She goes into the house, goes on a date with
Tyler. Uh, obviously Tyler is showing interest and now somebody else. So she's back thinking about
Logan and saying, yeah, there's no way Logan to be with anybody else. Like, I'd be super angry if he was
when in reality, we know he's been with two other people since Shanae's been there. Um, so he's
definitely moved on. But if you go back an episode, you remember that even Logan had a hard time
processing what the right and wrong decision was here. But it doesn't feel like that's on his mind
anymore. It feels like he's pretty sold out on Kate. And in the next episode that we'll talk
about and have out tomorrow, I'm sure we're going to see the Chenet, Kate, Logan interaction,
which will be interesting to say at least. For sure, because I do. I do.
believe that they had a little drama at women tell all and probably throughout their entire
Clayton season.
Okay, well, we're going to take a quick break and we're going to get to Bachelor Headlines

Attention passengers.
The pilot is having an emergency and we need someone, anyone to land this plane.
Think you could do it?
It turns out that nearly 50% of men think that they could land the plane with the help of air traffic control.
And they're saying like, okay, pull this, until this.
Pull that. Turn this.
It's just, I can do it my eyes close.

Oh, that's the run right.
I'm looking at this thing.

Tell you how to manage your money again.
Welcome to Brown Ambition.
This is the hard part when you pay down those credit cards.
If you haven't gotten to the bottom of why you were racking up credit or turning to
credit cards, you may just recreate the same problem a year from now. When you do feel like
you are bleeding from these high interest rates, I would start shopping for a debt consolidation
loan, starting with your local credit union, shopping around online, looking for some online
lenders because they tend to have fewer fees and be more affordable. Listen, I am not here to judge.
It is so expensive in these streets. I 100% can see how in just a few months you can have
this much credit card debt when it weighs on you. It's really easy to just like stick
your head in the sand. It's nice and dark in the sand. Even if it's scary, it's not going to go away
just because you're avoiding it. And in fact, it may get even worse. For more judgment-free money
advice, listen to Brown Ambition on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your

It's time for Bachelor headlines. Well, this one's an inter-estring one. Michael A, who obviously came into Paradise as a fan favorite. I still believe he is a fan favorite.
is a very well-known character on uh from the bachelorette going into paradise uh we've you know
saying his praises on this show because he's a great guy um but he's gotten a lot of heat over the last two
weeks some of it deserve uh for how he handled some of the situations in paradise and it's
been interesting to read and follow along so here it is here's the headline michael a admits
he could have handled the breakup better with sierra jackson this according to people
okay well he said that taking a rose when your heart's not in it is leading someone on
choosing to end my only relationship when i was gifted a constellation and didn't have a rose
was not a good look but i knew that um he says i still should have handled the breakup better
that's on me i don't know he's been getting so much flack about this and i understand
that, like, it was such a sucky situation for Sierra.
I know that she, I understand why she feels a little bit betrayed because he and Danielle
did have a bit of a rapport going on, never met in real life.
There was definitely, like, a plan behind the scenes, you know, to bring Danielle in and, like,
them to hit it off.
I get that.
I see it.
We all see it.
It was very much, like, what we were saying, with Demi a couple years ago.
But listen, there's not much else he could have done, in my opinion,
then slow Sierra down while they were dating.
Like that is probably where he messed up.
He needed to say, before he actually broke up with her, be like, hey, this is going a little
fast.
Hey, I want to hang out with you more, but this is going a little too fast.
He just needed to give her some more yield signs.
Do you know what I mean?
He gave her no yield signs, and that's where he got in trouble.
because it did seem so abrupt.
I think so.
I mean, I think it was abrupt
and I think it was confusing
and I think the one of the other things here
is when you do it and you don't give any yield signs,
you really don't open up the door for the other person
to pursue a relationship and talk to somebody.
And so you kind of like,
if they're saying, okay, this person seems sold out on me,
I obviously am sold out on them.
Let's run with this.
And then when it ends, you're kind of thrown off
because all of your opportunities
and all of the options available and impaired,
been taken away. So I do. I think he could have slowed it down a bit. I think he could have
probably communicated better. You know, I don't, I don't necessarily, going back to last week,
I'm not upset that, you know, Danielle's in paradise, and now we get to see their relationship
kind of go from here. I am excited to watch that, and I think it's one that could be very real
and last to the end of the show. But yeah, I mean, I think it's a lesson learned. You know,
but how how critical can we be of somebody for how they handle relationships in paradise?
Because relationships and paradise are so odd just from the start where you're dating people,
multiple people that are living in one house together. It's weird. So I'm glad he's thinking this through.
I'm glad he came out and kind of said he could have handled it better. And yeah, Sierra definitely got the short and the stick here.
She was confused, throwing off.
And now she sits here going, well, that was not cool.
What did I get out of paradise?
I could have had another relationship.
Yeah.
Next headline is this.
Romeo Alexander, if you remember him, he was on.
You remember him?
He was just kind of there for a bit.
Reveals his bachelor in paradise regrets.
I was uncertain.
This according to full bachelor nation article.
Basically, he's just saying that if he were to do it all over again,
he wouldn't rush things.
he feels bad for like shutting
Kira down quickly
he just feels like
he should have like kept things a little bit
more open ended so it wasn't like
I'm you know I am going to pursue
Jill I am cutting you off
and then he just says in general
he just doesn't have good game
he's not good at like saying
no he's not going to rejecting people
he admits that he was awkward
and he says
this triangle was a
tricky thing as much as
I was proud of myself for day one for saying I wanted to pursue Joe.
In retrospect, that was a mistake.
I really should have held back a little bit.
I would like to know whether he's still with Kira.
Do we get this answer now or do we get it?
I guess it's going to be at the reunion show.
So he's probably not allowed to say anything yet.
Yeah, it has to be at the reunion show.
And we'll have to look for that then.
Final headline is Bachelor of Lentino,
who was the one that Rachel Lentio, who was the one that Rachel
picked on the last season of The Bachelorette, reveals that Avin Jones did reach out to
apologize after awkward finale moment, this according to Bachelor in Paradise article.
Okay, so as you remember in that very traumatic scene, or at least it was for me and Teno,
and me as a viewer and Tino as a human being on stage, he was sitting up there, things are going
very horribly with Rachel
and then Avin came
up and said, hey Rachel,
can I basically steal you for a second?
And it was
just the most demoralizing moment
I've ever seen on live TV.
Well, Avin
was not, did not really know
that that was how the situation was going
to unfold. And he did
text Tino and
this is how Tino describes
what went down between him and Avin
after that moment. He goes, Avan's a great dude.
Avin's super nice, always been straightforward, super accountable.
I don't think he knew I was going to be out there when he came out.
And he reached out the night of after the final rose when I think my phone was off
because I was getting too many texts.
It was really overwhelming.
And he texted me and said, hey, I'm really sorry.
That was tough.
And then they talked on the phone the next day.
He said that he didn't know that he was going, that he was like going to make.
make him look, you know, it was going to be such an embarrassing situation.
And he said, I think he just went on there with the intention of cheering up, Rachel.
So it wasn't supposed to be like a, I'm trying to get the girl back situation.
Yeah. Yeah. Well, I'm sure there was obviously, like we always think, there's more to the story than
what we see. And it didn't ever feel like Avin was going to intentionally embarrass Tino or
want to embarrass him on stage. It just kind of.
and how it happened.
But we haven't had an update really on Avin and Rachel
since that little date they went on.
I'm assuming that's over and done with
and everybody's moving on and that it was what it was.
And, you know, whatever.
Well, in this episode with a very exciting announcement,
Lauren Bush and Elaine shares update on baby number two
with husband Chris, nothing but peaceful and perfect.
This according to people.
Yep.
She said that the baby named Baker,
Weston. Our little man surprised us nine days early, late Sunday night, still laughing, thinking
about my water breaking, very aggressive, movie-like situation, driving to the hospital in
Chris's truck, pantsless, by the way, because my car was out of gas, and Dutton was sleeping.
It was very chaotic. Wait, hold up, hold up. Why would you be pantless because your car's
out of gas? Okay, no, no. So this is, I, okay, so no, so no, she's using parentheses in
this writing, okay? So she says, but that's a great question. Driving myself, driving herself to the
hospital in Chris's truck, pantsless by the way, but she's driving herself in Chris's truck
because her car was got out of gas and Dutton was sleeping. Question, though, who'd she leave Dutton
with? Good question. It feels does like a movie scene, like one of those. One of those. One of
those like random like nine days early unexpected oh my gosh i got it to the hospital here we go
breath spring the f-150 straight down the highway you know down i-65 wait this is like such a
this is such a question though what do you do if your kid is sleeping you're the only one home
you go into labor do you just let them sleep in the crib and then just have a friend be like go
go over to the house right now i would i mean it sounds like it because
what I'm confused on, and we need more backstory here, but why was, you know, why wasn't there
anybody else driving there? Doesn't sound like Chris was home. Yeah, so was there nobody else around?
So she's just like, yeah, somebody rented the house. I got to go to do this. Who knows?
That sounds like a wild scenario, but it all seems to work out.
Oh, I need to know more of this story. But yes, she says that the, the story before him coming was
chaotic, unplanned, and panicked. But the moment he came into this world has been nothing but
peaceful and perfect.
So that's, that's cute.
Cute.
And the names, the kids are cute because they match sort of.
It's Dutton Walker and Baker Weston.
It's cute.
Yeah.
That's great.
Well, congratulations to them.
Very excited for them.
