Live in studio, happy Bachelorette Week, Ashley.
Hello, happy crate and barrel bridal shower week to me.
That is true.
That's why I'm out here, isn't it?
Yes.
Yeah, what do you expect out of this event?
I actually don't know.
I'm pretty sure we're doing a podcast, which makes it an interesting and unique bridal shower.
I also know that there will be a lot of bachelor people there.
I know that we're not going to podcast for three hours and that we have the time slot of three hours.
So I'm interested to see what you have planned because you've planned it, right?
I did.
You know, here's the thing that I don't quite get, Ashley.
As I'm researching bridal showers.
Like an I don't get it for like my I don't get a podcast.
Good point.
What do you like everything changes so quickly in baby showers and bridal showers and
wedding showers.
Every new year seems to bring new trends.
What would be the absolute coolest thing you could do at your baby shower?
your bridal shower and then your wedding shower like what's one thing you want out of those well the
baby shower i love the poopy diaper game i think i may have brought this up before but basically
you mush a chocolate bar in a diaper and you have to like smell to determine which chocolate bar
it is crushed up it'd be fantastic if you actually snuck in like baby pooping no one oh my god
i'm sure that's happened so many times that's awesome i honestly
am I the only one out there?
Please send in your opinions
at Ben and Ashley, IHeartMedia.com.
Am I the only one out there
that even though I would know
it would be chocolate bars,
it still makes me gag?
Oh, it doesn't make me gag.
I know, but I would think that it would too.
No, I definitely would.
I can't pick up my dog's poop
or their throw-up without dry heaving.
Like, I literally would be like...
Really?
And Jared's like, Ashley, stop being so dramatic.
You are so dramatic.
It annoys the heck out of him.
Yeah.
And I'm like, I can't.
help it. This is how my body reacts. It's not mental. It's physical. I actually would agree.
There's moments. I actually remember this. Here's a funny story. One that I don't share very often.
It's embarrassing. I was in a freshman in high school. My neighbor, I think he, I think the kid was like
three, four years old. I don't know how old you are when you stop using diapers, but he was still
using diapers and I still need to help like clean. So I was. That's the most awkward. That's like
the time that you really don't want to babysit.
Yeah, and I was babysitting, and I, he, he did his business, and I put his diaper down,
and I literally didn't just dry heave.
I puked all over.
Yeah, had to call, it was literally my next door neighbor.
I had to call my mom over to clean, like, it up because I was so disgusted.
I don't know.
It makes me worried that I'm not going to be a good dad.
I worry about it, too.
Jade has reassured me that the smell of your own baby's poop actually doesn't gross
you out, especially initially.
she says it doesn't even smell like poop especially the first six months really yeah and then you
know after that you're just so used to it oh well what a what a day i'm learning a lot it's gonna be
fun um i am out here for the crate and barrel uh bridal shower for ashley like and ed because she is
a bride ashley before we start talking about the podcast how is your bride prep going like are you
i noticed the other day you posted about like being on diet or working out or something um i also noticed
that you're glowing like what are you doing right now to get prep for this big day well i actually
like i said they tell you not to go in for your fitting until like you think you're the weight that
you're going to be on your wedding day and i just have i was like gonna put it off and put it off
i was like i'm gonna keep losing weight i'm gonna keep losing weight and i was like can know my mom is
here my mom just got here because she's going to our bridal shower tomorrow and she um i was
like, you know, let me make my fitting while my mom's here. So tomorrow I have my fitting,
which is very exciting. Am I coming? If you want, that would be hilarious. You're welcome.
Who's all coming? Just tomorrow's just my mom and my sister. You know, the invoices are kind of
coming in at this point. Yeah. And we're like, wow, heavy. Yeah. This hurts a little bit.
Speaking of invoices, Ashley, I got to use this podcast for a shameless plug. I hope you don't take offense to it,
Of course not. I just did a shameless plug for the I Don't Get a podcast.
Ashley's wedding is in the beautiful state of Rhode Island.
And we just watched that this week on The Bachelorette.
Newport specifically.
Newport specifically.
Hotel rooms and Newport are expensive.
So if anybody out there has any hookups to hotel rooms in Newport, Rhode Island,
I myself and the rest of the Bachelorman.
The Bachelors, they want to stay at your house.
a place to stay. I'm not kidding. It's ridiculous. You guys, we feel a lot of secondhand guilt for
making people not only fly into Providence or Boston, but Providence is convenient and yet
more expensive and then to be in one of the most expensive cities in America during August.
Yeah. So I would spend, I mean, I'm not going to have a hard time, Ashley, like,
breaking the bank for you. I would do it in a second, but I'm just saying if on top of being
able to be there for you, if I can get a free room to stay in, uh, please email us.
So the Ben and Ashley and I almost famous podcast.
Yeah.
If you're interested in having a Bachelor alum's day at your place in Newport, Rhode Island, let us know.
Okay, yeah, speaking of Newport, I know we're going to get into this episode of The Bachelorette, episode four.
Jared and I actually filmed a scene for this episode that got cut, which is not a rarity.
Ben has been on scenes, has had scenes that have been cut.
And it's so unfortunate because you look forward to it.
You're like, is it going to make it?
Is it going to make it?
And it doesn't make it.
Hannah just sat down with us for like an hour and chatted about who she was really feeling at that point.
And it's interesting because I think I could say now, but she told us that her three standouts.
And we sat down with her before she embarked on that week was Jed, Luke P, who she said she had to straighten out.
And Peter.
she said that she was very taken with Peter
the week before during week three
that whole slamming her against
not slamming her
pushing her up against that brick wall
and making out with her.
Yes.
Really turned her on.
Nothing's more attractive than a nice little gentle nudge.
And then
I talked to her about Tyler C
because I was like, Tyler C's
who all the girls are talking about
going, just based off pictures.
Okay.
You know, just going off pictures.
the girls seem to like only think
that Tyler sees the hot guy in your bunch.
Now we've known.
Now we've seen that there are a lot of other attractive men in her season
but based on those original pictures.
Anyway, I go, but he looks like a player, right?
And she goes, yeah, I feel like he might be a player
like something along those lines.
And I think this episode dispelled that
for not just Hannah, but for the audience.
What do you think?
So before we get into the episode,
we have a really special guest in the line.
Diggy Morlin.
what's going on how you doing man ben and ashley here uh we're just getting ready to break down this
week's episode of the bachelor up before we do that we had to bring you on to catch up with you
and what is going on in your life now so with that diggie we like to do a really special
uh segment that you should take no offense to we've done it with everybody from trista setter
to uh ben zorn we just call it who the heck are you because you've been off the show for a while
We'll do it with me here as well.
Diggy, what are you up to these days?
So right now, I'm still living in Chicago.
I did not move to L.A. yet.
I am back at work, so I'm acting my normal job.
But now I'm doing a lot of modeling.
I'm doing a lot of traveling, just when I see the world.
And so I've been giving a lot of, obviously, different experiences and different opportunities.
So, yeah, now I'm just modeling, traveling, my fashion blog.
I'm doing a lot of stuff like that with fashion.
So, yeah, I'm just doing a lot of different things right now.
So to just help our listeners out, how would they know you?
Maybe they're, let's say, at a young age, and they weren't watching back then,
or maybe they just are casual fans.
Can you give us a little background of what season you're on?
How did it go for you and how people would remember you?
Yeah, so season 13 of the Bachelette with Rachel Lindsay,
and then season four and five a Bachelor in Paradise.
I first came on the scene, Bachelorette, and season 13,
and I was a guy that had probably a different pair of glasses on every five to six hours,
and I wore some pretty dope bow ties and suits and stuff like that.
So I think that's kind of how the world knew me.
As somebody who was really in the fashion, loved to shop and everything like that.
So that's why I started, and then went straight from the Bachelorette to Paradise.
Had an amazing time down in Mexico, which was my friends, and then decided to do it again
at the tail end of last year.
So, yeah, I had a good three, I would say three shows stint with a franchise.
So I assume that you're not going to go back to Paradise this season.
I think that'd be a safe assumption.
Yeah, I probably will avoid Paradise this season.
so when you're on paradise last time i can't remember i'm a big paradise fan did you find any type of
romantic feelings in paradise last season i did not um i went towards the very end and it was
somebody olivia she actually lives here in chicago um i went on her day with her um she had
already been with venmo john for like i think a couple weeks down at that point so i just went
down there really didn't have any like emotional connections and then as a result we
just kind of went home and then that was the end of the season I think right before they brought
Robbie down I remember that oh that's right if you were to go again who from this past season
would you be crushing on Katie a thousand percent I feel like all the guys have crushes
on Katie she's beautiful Katie and Tasia um probably are my top two I really have I forgot
her name Sydney I think Sydney is like kind of interesting very cute
and I just would like to know more about her.
So that's the three I'd be crushing on.
I'm telling you what.
Ash,
I don't know how you feel,
but Diggy might be the first potential Bachelor in Paradise person we've had
that it seems very confident in who he's going after.
Tasha kind of felt that way a little bit.
I do like that because I think a lot of the times
when we ask who they'd want to see there,
they get a little hesitant.
Yeah, tongue-tied.
No, I think the way we work is just more so obviously being in the franchise now.
We know who these people are, people ask them about us all the time.
So at this point, I'm like, all right, I know I would be interested in Tasia, Katie, and, like, really nobody else.
And that's it.
There's one thing.
I was watching some clips last night from last year's Paradise.
It was just on the Internet.
You know, one of the cool parts about Paradise for me is when I watch it, it's funny, it's entertaining.
But people leave with real love stories.
That's why we're here this week in Los Angeles.
celebrating Ashley and Jared's love story.
Diggy, are you ready for that?
I mean, you're traveling the world.
You know, you're a good-looking dude who wears a thousand different kinds of glasses.
Can you settle down and pick one?
I easily can.
And let me take a step back.
I can.
I won't say easily because I do know it's a process.
But I think you get to that point right now, 33, you get to the point where it's like going
out, meeting new people, going on first date, like,
It just gets tiresome and you get tired of it and you just don't want to do it anymore.
So at this point in your life, you're kind of looking for somebody that you're actually interested in
and want to, like, get to know better as a person and then just kind of grow together.
So I think I know I'm definitely ready for that.
So it sounds like you're keeping up with The Bachelorette or The Bachelor franchise.
Who do you see Hannah having a long-lasting connection with?
Okay.
So I've been, I haven't watched every episode.
but I don't, the names kind of escape me.
I think Tyler C.
Yeah.
Looked like they had somewhat of a connection last night.
He knew everything, like all the right things to say,
which kind of scares me a little bit.
Yeah.
When he was, I think Hannah was like,
I'm just down right now.
And then Tyler was like,
I want to see you at your highs and at your lows.
That was fucking perfect.
So I don't know how he came up with that.
but I'm stealing that first off and then secondly it was just like time perfectly I think they'd be
great together I just don't know how Tyler is like off camera as a person that's a good moment
dig let's take it to a second and talk about that so when you were on the show did you feel like guy
the men were calculated and how they were talking to rachel um could you pick up on when it was
calculated how often I mean honestly were you calculated in your speech because I know we've
talking about on the podcast before there's I'd say the first two weeks I knew pretty much I was
very slow to speak and and I didn't say a lot because I was processing everything but there is a
moment in time where you just give it all up don't you think like you just kind of let go and you forget
cameras are there and you start being yourself a thousand percent I would say like you've been
the first couple of weeks I was more so like trying to be calculated whatever I said I wanted to
make sure it couldn't be edited in a wrong, like, incorrect way to make me kind of like
worry about how it would come off. I'd say like week three and beyond, at that point you start
to like say exactly what you would in inside the mansion, outside the mansion, just like back in
normal life. And then by the time, if you're fortunate enough to go to paradise, I mean, I'll walk down
those steps. I'm like, all right, I'm used to these cameras being in my face. I'm going to just
be me, whatever. But those first, first couple weeks, you're definitely just like trying to say stuff
just to not rock any, you know, ships or whatever, and you just want to, don't ruffle
any feathers, but then after a while it kind of hits you and you just start being yourself.
Yeah, I agree. No, it just takes a bit, but once you get in the move and the groove, stuff starts
coming out, and then that's the true funding, which I think is where we're at in The Bachelorette.
Hey, Dickie, we've got to start talking about The Bachelorette, Ashley and do, so we're going to let you
go, but before we do that, I want to ask you, is there anything you would like to tell our listeners
to pay attention to that you are up to these days or any kind of, or any kind of.
kind words that you'd like to pass on to our listeners
before we let you go.
I will say this.
I have a lot of people that are fans of
the Ben and Ashley I podcast.
Aww.
So I get to the office every day, and
like on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, people ask me,
did you listen yet or whatever?
No. I want to say you guys are doing
an amazing job. So keep
it up, and I will say I'm back
myself. Just check out the blog.
Anytime anybody gets a chance,

I love you guys from having me on.
Thank you.
I appreciate it.
Of course.
Thank you.
We appreciate you, man.
And we hope to see you in paradise.
And if we don't, we hope to see you again soon and talk to you soon.
All right.
I'll talk to you guys soon.
Have a good one.
Thanks.
Okay, now tell me what you thought about Tyler C.
You know, Ashley, I would love to.
But there's so many more important things to talk about right now.
Good Lord.
You're just going to leave me in suspense, aren't you?
I am.
But you also have to tell me about your registry.
Okay.
Well, just because I love my crat and barrel.
registry so much. When it comes to a wedding registry, I think a lot of people think kitchen supplies,
furniture, and, you know, things for the home. But a lot of people don't think about bath time. A lot of
people don't think, oh, we need like nice towels or nice bath mats, robes, candles, even shampoos and
lotions. But all of that is actually available at crate and barrel and things that I am adding
to our wedding registry with them. They have the most delicious smelling shampoos and
lotions. They have the softest towels that is the number one thing I think I need right now that
I haven't gotten already off our registry. It's just, it's nice to like get out of the shower
and wrap yourself with one of these really nice, heavy, thick,
crate and barrel towels and this nice woolly robe that I have. It just kind of like brings peace
to me early in the day before all the chaos starts. Cretton Beryl has everything. It doesn't
matter what kind of style you have. Crayton Beryl will have something that fits in with your house
and it's classic and timeless and they last a long time. With Crane Beryl, you're not going to get
something that like turns to rags within a matter of months like some other places I've gotten
towels at, no. These are high-quality towels that you won't be embarrassed when you give to your guests
or put them on their bed. They'll be like, ooh, I'm staying in a nice little bed and breakfast.
Just high-quality with crate and barrel, and it's just super pretty. If you're engaged or looking to

ritual.com backslash famous guys I'm sorry I'm having a hard time talking because um I put
some of this like I love what you just gave me yeah I so I got a gift um I think this is cool
right now with people that are a lot hipper than I am but I got a gift in the mail of this like
buzzy lip balm so you put on your lips and your lips like kind of buzz or sting this isn't an ad you
guys. Can I see the tube? I don't know if we should say the name of it because I don't think I'm
going to like talk very positively of it right now. Okay, so I don't know if you girls remember about
a decade ago there was this stuff called lip venom and it used to like, it used to, it was supposed
to plump your lips. It was like before lip injections were normal. And it used to like burn and
tingle your lips for like maybe 20 to 30 minutes. And it really would make them maybe not like fuller,
looked like really inflamed and you you just let you just he just like wave this at me and said
put it on yes and of course like i did and now my lips are just tingling like little pins and needles
but in like a fun way it kind of feels good right it's like um pop rocks on my tongue that's a great
way to say it it's like pop rocks on your lip i can't speak my lips are so plump right now
the strongest buzzing lip we gave him to easton and he says he always typically has the poutty
lips and now they're even bigger.
Are these supposed to be, is this like dirty or something?
I don't know what it is.
Anyways, if I'm stumbling on my words, it's because my lips are so big right now.
I can't get my tongue to make the right curvatures.
Okay.
It's fun, though.
Ashley, you've asked me a couple times.
Yeah.
I cannot wait to break down this episode.
I think you need to guide this because I have some thoughts that I'm going to go on
tangents on and I don't want to do that for the sake of our listeners and for you.
So you're saying that you don't want to talk about Tyler right now.
want to go through. No, I can. Oh, yeah? I just want you to guide me in this because I'm so
passionate about this episode that I think if I guided it, I would just like bulldoze through
the whole thing. Okay. So I have a quote here. Okay. Our dear Lauren Zima, um, she,
she transcribed this quote from Tyler. She goes, I have transcribed Tyler's speech to Hannah
last night and it is something to behold, Nicholas Sparks. This is your guy. I am in awe.
100%. She's a fan. She's a fan. And this really was the speech that got me. And I've been
pretty honest on here about the fact that I think that Tyler is very classically handsome man.
He looks like he popped out of like Hollywood in like the 19. Paul Newman. Yeah, like that kind.
Yeah, very Paul Newmanish. Like he's kind of like, honestly, he looks a little bit like Patrick Swayze if you look hard enough,
but like that classic studly, you know? And then I, but I thought that he was like a laid back stoner.
type for a while
but now yesterday
my entire opinion on him
has changed and it really started with this quote
just know
that when you're getting down there's a
reason why you're going through
all this right now. There's no
doubt in my mind that this is all going
to make you better at the end of the day and you're
going to come out the most amazing person ever
with the most amazing person ever.
I want you in your highs. I want
you in your lows. I'll take whatever
I can get with you.
I want to be the man with you at the end of this.
And today, I want to show you that I can be the man who picks you up.
We'll have fun.
Just know that I got you.
And then I'm always going to have you.
Are you tearing up?
No, but like it was good.
And I would say like, oh man, smooth.
I could like be all like sassy, be like smooth.
Like he has like used that all the time.
But I felt it was so authentic and genuine.
I don't care anymore.
I'm team Taylor.
I'm team Tyler C.
let's let's stop here because this is where i first want to stop and talk uh he i'm not going to share
yet if he impressed me or not what about his speech made you go that's authentic and genuine
when other times in the show we can watch it and people can say all the right things and all the right
words and we go he is BS in his way through this this is ridiculous and i also felt like the
majority of people viewers from what we could see on twitter and what we got in our emails
really thought the speech was genuine and authentic as well.
I think that he delivered it with a lot of warmth.
I think sometimes it sounds like a monologue,
but I think the way he said it was different.
I think that the situation he said was probably a little different.
And then he showed it.
Like he really, it wasn't just words, it was also actions.
And he also made it seem like he wanted to prove it to her little by little over time.
And he didn't think that it was something
that was just given, that he was just going to be liked
by her immediately. It was something that he wanted
to prove to her. Okay. Fair
enough. What do you think? I think so
too. So what I was going to say is
I want to hate the guy
because he's so good looking.
He's a professional football player.
Well, he was like a semi-pro football. He was a good
freaking football player. And then he's a model. He's a model.
He's a model. He look at his modeling shots. He's the perfect
apricrami-ish model. And then
he's a dancer. Like he's a good
dancer. Like he did his intro.
video of him skipping around the room with his shirt off and his abs showing.
He's one of those guys that we look at as other men and go, dang it.
Yeah, and he's the guy that women look at as, oh, you must be a player because no guy who looks
like you.
We can't assume that about him.
But we can.
We cannot.
We cannot, but we do.
Yeah.
But we can't assume.
And that's unfair to him because just because you're a six foot five professional
athlete that can dance with rock solid abs and a beautiful face does not mean you're a player.
Here's my thing.
That's not what it's impressed me about him.
What impressed me was he was not expecting Hannah to be in this mood.
He was expecting a great date.
So his reaction was not calculated and planned.
It's not like he had like 30, 40 minutes to think,
okay, what should I say to her now if she's in a bad mood?
No, she drops this on him.
And right away he goes, yeah, but.
Yeah, who would ever assume the Bachelorette was going to be in a bad mood?
Never.
First off, love that Hannah is so expressive when she is feeling down.
because that's just reality
when you are in that world win
you are exhausted and you are cranky
and she's just like
hey I'm not feeling it I wish I didn't have to go on the state
and I love that about her
another thing that showed authenticity with Tyler
and I didn't even notice as my sister did
she said that he seemed really nervous
and then his hands were shaking
when they were having that talk
was it? Yeah
and
I think he thought he was going to get eliminated in that moment.
I think that for a second he was like, oh, she's going to send me home right now.
Do you think he knows he's good looking?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Any model kind of, you know, like when you do model shots like that, you kind of do.
Yeah.
I don't have a problem with people knowing that they're good looking.
I feel like most of the people on The Bachelor know that they're better than average looking.
Yeah.
I mean, I don't have a problem with that because it gives you a little confidence.
Yeah.
But, you know, here's a thing.
I think Tyler C is sneaking in to become.
Here's my forecast, one of Bachelor Nation's most memorable contestants.
I think he will go down if he wins or doesn't as a guy that people look at for years and goes,
kind of like the deans of the world.
Yeah, he's like a dean.
Yeah, that guy is good looking.
Because, oh, because of his looks or because his looks plus he has a nice personality.
I think the whole thing.
I think he's the total package.
There's been a lot of really good looking people on this show that,
do not have the personality and they're forgotten.
I think you, I think the standouts are the ones that have both.
And I think Tyler C is one of those.
Hey, I know we just really dove into the Tyler C scenario.
But let's backtrack and start at the beginning.
Let's break down the episode on this week's segment episode of the almost famous podcast.
Ashley, let's start at the beginning.
They're in Newport, Rhode Island.
I want you to give a little breakdown of what makes Newport Rhode Island.
so special and unique and why you chose to do your wedding there when i used to live outside
boston when my dad was doing his residency on the weekends i was like three or four we used to go
down to newport and just watch the sailboats and then fast forward like 25 years i do the same thing
with jared so i didn't know that yeah it's pretty cool i always talked to jared about i was like
what if we were like both like two or three in a stroller and we just strolled by each other in newport
and then you just luck made eye contact
to your gummy bears
so I always thought it was like a very romantic place
as a place that my parents used to like love going to
when they had spare time
it is
just like your perfect little
sailboat town I can't really describe it
I wouldn't call it a beach town
of course there is a beach you can go to
but it's more about the harbor
it's quaint it's just like
the cutest town
it's very old it was one of like the most
early established places
in the Northeast.
So I think it was like in 1600s or something.
So everything is very cute and colonial.
It's got old school charm.
And also you can sense that it was a place that they used to have like grand,
wealthy, the houses.
Like there's this thing called like the mansion row.
And there's just like these huge like Vanderbilt mansions.
And it's really, really cool.
And Chris Harrison, I think, did a unique,
I think he introed it by saying where the,
the wealthy go still go to play or something like that so the wealthy go to play in newport
rhode island and so does the bachelorette which brings us to our very first date i still think
an underdog in this whole thing one that snuck up on us slowly but surely is jed jed gets the very
first date card in newport road island the date card clue is jed meet me in boston well surprise surprise
Jed, you're going to meet Hannah B and tour Boston.
Here's the thing.
Twitter kind of reacted, Ashley, to Hannah B doing the fake news or pointing out fake
things in Boston.
I liked it.
I didn't love it.
But I didn't have a problem with it.
I just didn't like it.
Like, I don't know.
Because it took away from the history of Boston.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Let's not belittle the history of Boston, especially a city in which, like, there is so
much of America's roots.
I agree.
So you spend the whole day.
It was a weird time on the show
because we spent the whole 10 minutes of them touring Boston
actually learning nothing and learning nothing about them.
Like all we did was see them walk around and point things out.
But we didn't get to meet Jed really until we meet up with the Boston Celtics players.
And then we get to see for the first time I think all episode,
his more fun side coming out.
I'm still not positive he's comfortable yet.
Yeah, I didn't get much about out of his one-on-one.
I feel like I actually learned more about Jed in the prior episodes.
Okay.
Except for during their dinner date.
Do you want to get to the dinner day part or is there anything more about the Celtics part?
Yeah, I just, I just want to close that little thing off and say it was really cool this episode to see so much of the Northeast come to live.
The Celtics coming into the play.
We'll talk about some other things that they did in Northeast later on.
And it was a fun date.
The two on two was fun.
And it was cute to see Hannah just again, letting loose.
so I thought it was a really good time for her to just enjoy yourself.
I agree.
But here's the part.
And I want to, and this will tie into the dinner part.
She says to the whole thing, I'm comfortable around Jed.
I can relax around him.
He's fun.
I can be myself.
I felt like I'd never got to see that.
Yeah, I haven't seen Jed be fun.
You guys all know that I'm like a big Jed fan.
Up until yesterday, I think he was my favorite.
Now I think he's tied.
Oh, definitely.
I say top two.
Okay.
But I didn't get to see much, like, fun from him.
I feel like I just see one static side, which is, like, again, I'm going to use the word studly laid back.
I think there are similarities between Tyler and Jed, which is why I like them.
I think Hannah is the one that is, like, super full of energy and peppy, like, the firework in the relationships.
But then with Jed and Tyler, they're more laid back and, like, observers, which I think it's comfortable for me.
me to watch and so probably it is comfortable in real life for her um but one thing we do know about
jed is he's honest and i know you have opinions on this yeah this is my favorite yeah so we go to
dinner and ashley what happens at dinner at dinner at dinner jed says gonna be straight up with you
i actually sign up for the show because i know it would give me a good platform an audience for
my music career give me opportunities and connections there and i loved this it was honest it
up front. He addressed it before anyone could address it for him or question and doubt him
for it. And he just admitted what pretty much everybody goes on. Everybody goes on for an
experience. Barely anybody thinks they're going to end up with the lead. I had gotten really
nervous back during Chris Solza's season when he asked me what I do. And I was like, well, I just
graduated with my master's from broadcasting school.
And I was like, great.
He's going to think broadcasting.
I want to be an entertainment reporter and he's going to immediately think wrong reasons.
He didn't.
Hannah, I think like any time that you want to be involved in the entertainment industry on this show, people, the red flag goes up, right?
But the big thing here with Jed was that he was up front and honest about it.
And then he said, once I've been here and once I've met you, that has totally taken the backseat because you are my priority now, not my career.
And I think at the end of the day, that's all that really matters.
Yeah.
Sorry, Spiel.
No, I'm trying to process what you're saying because I do agree.
Everybody goes on it for experience or experience.
I loved it too.
And I think what I was processing here is I think the show actually loved it because it breaks
down the wall that nobody's been able to break down before.
And so here's what's happened to Jeddies came.
He's like had this idea of what could happen to him for the,
one thing is when you have you have to have a product that's marketable so like a liquor we hear we're
going to talk about that later in the podcast that i don't like as much but the a music career something
that's tangible that you can market yet obviously has that and i bet he did go on with the tensions
of i'm going to be this is going to rocket my career to a whole new level and then all of a sudden
just like true love does it stops you and plans change and i think that's okay right with jess
who know you know when i first started talking to her
my what I could foresee our relationship being or with you with Jared was different than where
we're at now right my plans has changed and as a result I've communicated that to her which was
what he's doing to Hannah I think it was honest I think it was great and he's also allowing the
person that's close to him right now in his life in on his insecurities he's being vulnerable
and vulnerability always wins so and I also want to say that in my experience I did get to the
point where I was like, I'd always went in being like, it would be so great if it helped me
with opportunities in my career, but it would be even greater if I found the person through it.
And I think that's what he's saying. And I love that she gave him the time to make his point
without her like getting jumpy. Oh, 100%. Hannah actually, then a day says this is the most excited
I've ever been in a long time over a first day. Ashley. So that crosses out the other guys that she went on
I agree.
I agree. What is your rating for Jed and Hannah's connection after this one-on-one?
After the dinner portion, I say B-plus.
Cool.
What do you say?
I'd say B-plus, but this whole podcast now is going to get blown up because of two people.
The whole show, really, if we think about it, we talked a little bit about Tyler C.
I'm glad we did because it's important.
We talked about Jed, but this whole episode was really about two people.
is circled around two people, and unless we talk about it as much as the show showed it,
we're not going to do this whole season justice. We have to talk about it. But before we do
that, we need to take a break. My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly, and now I'm seriously
suspicious. Well, wait a minute, Sam, maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit. Well,
Dakota, it's back to school week on the OK Storytime podcast. So we'll find out soon. This person writes,
my boyfriend has been hanging out with his young professor a lot. He doesn't think it's a problem,
but I don't trust her now he's insisting
we get to know each other but I just want her gone
Now hold up isn't that against school policy
That sounds totally inappropriate
Well according to this person this is her boyfriend's former professor
And they're the same age
And it's even more likely that they're cheating
He insists there's nothing between them
I mean do you believe him?
Well he's certainly trying to get this person to believe him
Because he now wants them both to meet
So do we find out if this person's boyfriend
Really cheated with his professor or not

What would you do if one bad decision forced you to choose between a maximum security prison
or the most brutal boot camp designed to be hell on earth?
Unfortunately for Mark Lombardo, this was the choice he faced.
He said, you are a number, a New York state number, and we own you.
Shock incarceration, also known as boot camps, are short-term, highly regimented correctional programs
that mimic military basic training.
These programs aim to provide a shock of prison life,
emphasizing strict discipline, physical training, hard labor, and rehabilitation programs.
Mark had one chance to complete this program
and had no idea of the hell awaiting him the next six months.
The first night was so overwhelming, and you don't know who's next to you.
And we didn't know what to expect in the morning.
Nobody tells you anything.

I would say, Ashley, the group dates this season have been one of the most entertaining parts,
mostly because we've had some massive characters play a part in this season.
I think this season has been one of some major personalities,
and they're showing their personalities, which we've got to respect.
I want to break down who was on the group date, what the group date was, and then if you all
will allow us, I want to unleash Ashley to break down what is going on between the
Luke's and why is it going down afterwards.
So here.
I might disappoint you, but let's continue.
The group date had Dylan, Mateo, JPJ, John Paul Jones, Connor, Garrett, Dustin, Devin, Grant, Peter, Kevin,
Mike, Luke, Luke, P, the clue on the date was true lover.
requires blood, sweat, and tears. The boys are playing rugby, which I tell you what, over the last
few years, really starting with Caitlin's season. The show on The Bachelorette at least, and even on
The Bachelor, I can remember the boxing date this year of this last season, have allowed dates
to get pretty physical early on. We did the boxing date where Jared knocked the snarred at him.
He was runner up. Yeah, he just rocked me.
well he got a concussion yeah you were not happy um and then this date rugby which is a pretty
fierce sport for a bunch of grown men from anywhere from 22 to 34 playing who's 34 I don't know
I just thought about people on the other 34 what do you think about that do you enjoy watching
these kind of dates not particularly I like talking I like listening to them talk this is just more
like let's see a bunch of people run around get tired beat each other up for a bit but i do i will say
this and we can skip over a lot of what happened to date right a bunch of people ran up and down
the field it was intense it was fierce we're going to skip to this moment to where i think
what competition and physical activities do for these shows yeah what do they do dates in general
like dates wherever we're at in the world okay in real life as well they bring out the truest forms
of our personality and they either enrage us or they bring us to peace. So I'm super
competitive, Ashley. They bring us to peace. Yeah, so I'm super competitive. But when I get competitive
for as much as I talk in my normal life, I don't talk in sports. When I'm on the field or when
I'm on the court, where I'm in golf, I'm in my own head the whole time, right? So that brings me,
actually competition brings me to peace. Like I'm at more peace when I'm in competition than I am
when I'm outside of it, but what we see what it does for Luke P as example is it enrages him,
right? Competition brings out this like inner animal that we don't get to show in our normal
lives, which is also not always bad, right? Football players thrive off of this. Like competition
brings out that fierceness. But in this scenario, and again, for anybody out there listening,
we're going to spend a lot of time breaking this down now. Something happened. We don't, I don't want
assume, and I actually have some pretty strong feelings for this, Ashley. I don't want
assume that we know that Lucas was going to swing on Luke P or that he wasn't. But this got
physical way beyond the competition. And that's where the story begins. The feud, the match
between Luke S. and Luke P. Ashley, when you first start seeing this, what are your initial
thoughts? It's wild, right? Like, we see two grown men on a
field at this point and one is getting tackled. I feel very uncomfortable as I'm watching this
because I know that this is going to be detrimental for both sides when it comes to their character
once they get off the show. And that's where this show to me, I get a little bit protective.
I love breaking down these things and I love chatting about these dudes and kind of, you know,
jabbing at them a little bit because we all got jab that and we should jab at each other. That's
why you're on the show.
But this is where it feels like it's getting,
this episode to me felt very real and it was too intense.
So do you not think that people should be,
you said that people's character comes out while they're in competitive sport,
but do you not think that they should be judged by their behavior when competing?
No, I do.
And I think that's where this gets scary.
I watch this episode, especially for Luke P.
And I'm like, this will last with you a long time.
Like this was the first moment.
All the other stuff was kind of goofy.
weird and like kind of you know his stuff jpj yeah like he could just like say and this is where
i was watching luke and i was like oh this is this is going to haunt him post show okay okay he just
tackled a grown man on television and supposedly need him in the face calling it self-defense
and calling it self-defense against quite honestly and i think if lucas would would be fine if he sat here
he kind of said it like my mom and dad didn't raise me to be like this like it's lucas and i think
a guy on the show said like you're not threatened by that man yeah like especially you yeah like
you're not threatened by luc yes yeah at least you should physically it's like me trying to tackle like
luke p right he's like right right i'm not threatened by this man right right i mean it's a little awkward
and and so that's where that group date ends and it leads us into the cocktail hour where things get
really interesting.
Now, it's either time
for Luke P to apologize
and Luke S to apologize
or double down on what they said
before. If Luke P
was smart, no matter
what he truly believed happened in there
and if he thinks it was self
defense, whatever, he should have
still apologized to Luke for
getting rougher than he
should have in a Bachelorette
game. His apologies still weren't
like real apologies. They were still
protecting himself.
They're defending himself.
Yeah, I was like, I'm sorry, but.
I'm sorry about it.
And I've hit a grown man before, okay?
One time my life.
Tell us.
It's a side story.
We'll talk about it.
I don't want to talk about it.
And once I did it, it felt right.
Like, it felt good at the time.
Like, my rage came out.
And then we were buddies.
And two hours later, once it all calmed down, like, all I wanted to do was
apologize.
And I think you see that a lot with fighting.
Like, that's where brothers fight.
Like, that's why parents sometimes allow their brothers to fight.
because what it does is
it allows both parties
to get out what they need
but then most of the time
when you have some time
to calm down
all you want to do
is to apologize to the people
that you love and hurt
no matter if you're in the right
or not right
and Luke P didn't do that
and this is
but honestly Ash
I didn't love how either
Luke's handled the situation
that's like that's why you said
before you're like
I'm sure you have allowed to say this
I'm like honestly
I'm not really sure
because I don't particularly like either one of them.
Well, and I said Luke S is kind of acting childish and Luke P won't take responsibility for
anything.
That's honestly how I broke this down, this whole argument.
Would you agree?
Yeah, I mean, I feel like people respond to, you can respond to conflict and get involved
in the drama and still, and feel like a sense of, okay, this is so hard to explain.
on this show
I feel like people can get involved in drama
and either
they can be like
it's not warm
but there's
there's something about you
that's like I'm so on their side
they're so right you're so empathetic
towards them and frustrated because they're frustrated
but with Luke as
I just felt like
I just didn't want to root for him either
I knew that he was more in the right than Luke P
obviously
Yeah, but there wasn't...
Did you feel that?
Yeah, I did.
There wasn't a side that, as a viewer, I was pulling for, and I wonder if our listeners...
Well, you were, like, technically pulling for Luke S because he represented all the guys.
But you didn't represent, but you weren't pulling for Luke P at all.
I would agree with you.
And I want to hear from our listeners.
Who were you pulling for, if any, and why maybe you were, where you weren't, emails at
at Ben and Ashley at iHeartMedia.com.
Luke S the first time I started rooting for him
was once Luke P
I will call it almost lied to Hannah
I agree that was the first time I said Luke S you're on the right
you're confused this is swirling around you faster than what anybody can
process and as a result you're getting thrown under the rug for something that you
really haven't done wrong but actually I need to take a second and pause us here
because this is where I want to redirect this so far I want to break down what we've said
We've said that both of these are hard to root for.
Luke P has not handled himself well, and this could be detriment in long term.
And Lucas is acting childish.
Now, that's why I want to pause this, because I want us to be very careful.
Because this is the other moment that I recognize during this.
What I love, again, about doing the Almost Famous Podcasts is that we can break down these episodes
and break down these people in these scenarios, right?
We want to find, as viewers, we're fans.
We're going to find out what's happening.
I think there was a moment while watching this
that I started to feel
like we need to be very careful again
because this is detrimental long term to Luke P
this almost felt it feels weird now for me
and I don't want to see him mess up anymore
like this was at first
you know it's kind of like Cam
like we watch and we're like oh Cam seems like a nice guy
but he's just not doing it right
and he's saying things are absolutely ridiculous
and his behavior is unwelcome
warranted and weird, but he's probably, he's going to be fine. Like, people are going to laugh
him a little bit, but he's fine. Right. There was a moment watching this that I, I don't want to
see Luke P mess up anymore. Because it's, it's, it's hard for me to watch somebody's life get
blown up on this show, and it feels like it's getting really close to that. And I'm scared that
this, this show is no longer just fun in games and something that you could possibly meet somebody
and you don't, that this will last a long time
and it could be really hard for him.
Okay.
For his mental health, you don't want to see this stuff.
I don't know how he's staying.
I don't know how he is mentally,
but I do know that this, if I was Luke,
I would be struggling right now.
And I think we need to be careful as viewers and as fans,
no matter where you're at out there of what we say on Twitter.
I mean, every week, this guy has been trending and it's never been for a good thing.
Right.
I got two questions for you.
Should Hannah have gotten like an instant replay of what happened out on the field?
Because she didn't see this collision.
No, because there wasn't.
Like, I mean, we do have the benefit of being on TV, but I don't think you could ever,
I don't think the show can start incorporating that into the show.
Okay, Hannah, you miss this, but here you go.
I don't think we can because it brings to, it, it would allow, then what happens when there's an argument
that the bachelor or bachelor's batheet doesn't see what they know is going on?
And then what stops the Bachelor of Bachelor of Battechrette from being,
well, just let me watch it.
You guys have been videotaping it.
So I don't think so.
I think it would, yeah.
That's a good answer to that question.
And secondly, Luke P said, I'm going to fight for Hannah.
I refuse to quit.
I'll never quit on her.
When he says, I'm going to fight for Hannah, like, do you believe that a guy should, like,
physically, he was, like, physically fighting like the physical battle one would win her over
in any capacity?
Yeah, I don't know where he's getting his insight from.
But, yeah, that, no.
like I don't think I've I actually have not dated anybody that has believed that
unwarranted fighting is attractive right yeah but it also I think and what she
probably was telling him last week is a relationship is not about one side fighting for the
other it's a partnership right I mean ultimately both sides are working together to figure out
if this is going to be something that's mutually beneficial for for the team that you're
creating it's not one side fighting to win
to love.
Right.
Like at that point,
there's no relationship.
That's like makes it seem like he's just in this for the competition.
But then last week I said it doesn't even seem like he's in it for the competition
because once he's losing,
he wants to just back out and quit.
So he's a bad competitor.
And we're seeing that.
I think,
Ashley,
I think this is one of the first times in a long time that I've watched a season.
And it was interesting.
Jess. So I was voicing this to Jess last night. And I was like, why am I so like almost sad for this
guy? Like I'm sad. Like I, because I don't want to, I've learned enough on this show and you've learned
we've talked about it to be slow to judge. I know. And Jess goes, then you need to talk to him.
I haven't called him because he makes me angry. But I also know that when typically when somebody makes me
angry. There's a reason why that's either I'm insecure about or that there's a legit reason
why I need to like get it out of them. And it's selfishly where I'm going, and I think a lot of
the country is going, Luke P, why are you being this? You're a good looking dude, man. And you want to do
what's right. You want to do what's best. When you're calm and collected, your, your intentions are
good. It's when you have this, all of a sudden, this reactionary moment and things get heated and
you say things that just aren't healthy for anybody.
I mean, at one point during this show is he sits down with Hannah after a long week,
and he goes, I know this week has been hard for you, but it's been hard for me also.
And I'm like, just make it about her for a bit.
I know.
So that's where on this whole thing, Ash, I'm just encouraging all of our listeners to continue
to engage in their relationship, to continue to tweak at the small words like that.
say, oh, he could have said that better. But also, let's be careful to how we react to general
statements about Luke P that we don't know yet because he is a human. He's a real person. He
joined the show to allow us all to be entertained by him. We just need to be careful, myself included,
definitely myself included, on what internally how we're judging him as a person. Let's wait
till we get to meet Luke P. a little bit more,
which is typically either
in Paradise or post show,
or if he's with Hannah, we get to meet him, you know,
as they're doing press.
But it feels heavy
right now. I would, I can't
imagine, Ashley,
if I was on this show
and three weeks straight, I was trending because of negative
things. Yeah, I know. It would be really hard.
Like, I don't know how it'd handle that.
You got to go hide.
I was actually thinking
about a saying,
unflattering things here with Luke S
because I believe Luke S
said something on Twitter this week
about how like
he thinks it's obnoxious for the alums
to speak negatively
towards the current contestants
he's like something about like has been
talking about him
oh really? I didn't like it
no I take offense to that
I'm a husband I know I'm like
that's his podcast
yeah
I can't find it I was trying to find a tweet
but yeah i mean what i would say that if if anybody did say that is that's we break down the podcast
just like real their fans now of course we're husbands we get that uh but we're husbands uh that still
are around and and still would support you and probably know more about this franchise than you do
and probably allow you a platform to come and talk if you ever got in trouble if you ever got in
trouble to explain yourself we're open place for um hey anyways
I want to hear from you, the listeners.
Ashley wants to hear from you, the listeners.
What was your breakdown of this week's episode?
Was it heavy?
Was it sad?
Was it encouraging?
What did you learn?
What did you take away from it?
And does the Luke situation feel as confusing and unsettling as we're making it sound today?
I don't know any other way.
It is confusing.
It's hard to recap even because it's like he said this and then she said this.
And then that other heat, that pee said this and that the Luke asked.
said this and then Luke he said this and then she said that it is hard i think the one part that we didn't
mention that really just made my jaw drop and i want to bring up before we move on was when he was like
i'm going to go tell her that you are here for the right reasons and then he goes and tells him
goes and tells hannah so luke asked wanted me to come here and tell you that i think he's here
for the right reasons but i really don't yeah not good again it was just it was like what are you doing
to yourself and all that is fine like he could do those things and we could sit here and say
why did you say that and again this this episode for the first time has to me went this took we took
it too far like now it's starting to become detrimental saying weird stuff and acting in weird ways
is uh is fine and we'll pass but this episode to me felt like it could be detrimental long term
and i want that but yeah super confusing really hard to break down really doesn't make much sense
to either of us at all.
So the question then is, for you, the viewers, listeners,
what happens next week?
Can you wait to see next Monday?
Who will go home?
What are your predictions?
And Ashley, before we move in
to the final segment of this podcast,
what are your predictions?
Who goes home?
My predictions.
Yeah, this is our first cliffhanger of the season.
You know what?
Usually, when it comes to these debates,
you know, it's like, I don't,
know whether I believe him or him both of them end up staying I feel like in this case
Luke S may leave but only because I really don't think she connects with him at all I don't
think it has to do with the drama necessarily I think it was just his time to go anyway
and she still has so many questions about Luke P that she just can't give up on him yet right no
definitely not yeah she's definitely not giving up on Luke P yeah she can't give up on Luke P
but she knows she's not going to end up with Luke S but Luke S are
our prediction will be going home.
And then maybe we can bring them on the podcast to talk about how annoying all of us has
been, have been.
Something that's not annoying, never has been, is when we take a second in this podcast to talk
about the brands we love.
And Rothies is one of them.
I love Rothies.
Actually, I've never worn a Rothies.
They're kind of for girls.
So take it away.
Okay, so Rothies are the most comfortable flats you're ever going to wear.
I don't know if you're like me, but whenever I,
would wear any other brand other than Rothies for flats, it would cut up the back of my heel
really bad. And then a matter of steps, I'd be like bleeding. So when I got my Rothies, I was like,
I'm sure these are going to be the exact same. But they are not. They are absolutely wonderful.
And I've turned a lot of friends on to them. They look, they're just as comfy as sneakers,
but they look a lot more fashion forward. Rathies has quickly grown to be one of the most love,
but got to have them flats brands.
And it's no surprise that they have 1,000 nearly perfect reviews.
How amazing is that?
That is pretty rare.
They're stylish, sustainable, comfortable, washable.
And really, they're like an all-in-one pair of shoes.
They are perfect for, the perfect flats for life on the go.
Rothese are flats that you can basically wear anywhere, a nice dinner, or to work,
or before you go take a workout class.
You can wear them with skirts or dresses or jeans or yoga pants.
They're amazing.
They launch new colors and patterns every few weeks and they sell out constantly.
They're favorite of Megan Markle.
Now you know why they're constantly selling out because basically anything she wears sells out.
Their slip-on sneaker in the color of sand is a wardrobe game changer.
This soft, subtle sneaker is the perfect addition for your summer collection of shoes.
Rothes are manufactured in a zero waste factory and they ship directly in the shoebox so there's
no unnecessary packaging.
The older I get, the more packaging is starting to annoy me because it just means that I have to
run out to the recycling bin.
And I'm like, I just didn't need this.
These are just the best flats ever.
And if we were sponsored by them, if we were not sponsored by them, I'd still talk them up like
this.
So you can go check out all their amazing styles available right now at rothies.com.
Famous. Go to Rothes.com. That is R-O-T-H-Y-S dot com slash famous to get your new favorite flats.
They're comfortable, stylish, insustainable. These are the shoes that you've been waiting for.
I promise you. They really are the flats you've been waiting for your entire life.

All right, Ashley, I have a stack, I don't know how many here, 20 emails.
I don't think we can go through them all.
I'm sifting through them right now.
Okay, pick your favorites, and as you pick your favorites, I'm going to pick mine and then
we'll read them to each other.
Here's a few updates, Ashley, on my life.
I'm doing my second wedding this weekend.
Oh, my goodness.
Oh, I ran into one of the people that you're doing a wedding for on my block.
They live on my block.
They live next to you.
Brian and Trevor.
Yes.
Yeah, Brian and Trevor live next to you.
I'm sorry to interrupt, Ben.
This is breaking news.
I have breaking news.
Your cousin, nephew, Philip Clark.
I was born?
No, no, no, no.
My girlfriend's brother.
Your girlfriend's brother is a Toronto Blue Jay.
Oh, wow.
Oh, my gosh.
That's the second time at high school.
Oh, yeah.
And college. Wow.
They took him again in the ninth round.
Philip Clark from Vanderbilt University. He's a catcher. He is such a good dude.
I don't know how the draft works necessarily. So I don't know if he's going back to
school, if he's going to go pro. I don't know the insides of this. All I know is this dude's
a stud. He hit the SEC Championship game winning hit to move them on. And now they're
moving on to the Super Regional at Vanderbilt University against Duke. This starts the 7th
of June. So make sure you check it out. It's going to be on TV.
he's the catcher Philip Clark is an absolute beast he's a monster
big fan of him you were stressed about the MLB draft and there it is
thank you Mark I appreciate that
okay well hey
it's playing the MLB to be drafted must be cool
you're right to be wanted
must be nice
the breaking news leads us now to say that
yeah so I'm doing this wedding festival in Denver Colorado
September 1st. It's a festival where 10 couples get married at one time. I'm going to be doing the
wedding. I'm officiating the wedding. And then the reception is a food and music festival, like a
legit food and music festival where everybody is a joint reception. So everybody gets to celebrate
together. It's a massive festival. It's a huge celebration. And I'm one of the three creators
of it. And it's going to be launching. I'm hoping to do it all across the country. But yeah,
one of your neighbors, I just found out, I had breakfast with them, is in the,
festival. They're so cute. Yeah, they're ready. They said they see you walking the dog or Jared
walking the dog all the time. Yeah, they always see Jared walking the dogs. Yeah. How cool is that?
Anyways, um, that's going on my life. And I'm also going to Vegas this weekend to officiate a renewal
of vows. Mark, you're married. Easton, you're married. Have you ever gotten your vows renewed?
No, my parents did. In fact, it was, it was 20 years ago yesterday. Something like that.
They got their vows renewed in Las Vegas. It was a beautiful thing. Oh, I have thoughts on this,
but I want to hear about Easton.
I mean, we're not at two years yet, but we're thinking about renewing it just to keep it shiny, you know?
What do you think about renewing vows then?
I think it's really a cool thing after a few years.
I mean, I've been in a couple long-term relationships, and no matter how healthy they are, like, the luster kind of fades a little bit, I think, like, and you need a new reason to kind of spark the relationship or just something exciting to happen, right?
Like, once you kind of have kids, you're living vicariously through them.
you get in a really good routine, and that's kind of how you survive and thrive.
But then I think a renewal is kind of that new, I think it would be really cool to do once the
kids leave the house. So like, you know, the divorce phase for couples once their kids leave
the house is very high because now they have to focus on each other again. How cool would it be
if as soon as the kids left the house, you put a steak in the ground, you said, okay, now it's
time for us again. Or now it's time for us to remember each other and what we have. So I think
it's a cool thing. I just think it has to be done in the right time. That period of time when the kids
go to school is usually when their bond is either strengthened or broken. My parents got, I think,
just by observation, strengthened at that time. Now that they were ever not good, they were always great.
I never really witnessed a fight. But I think that they became even more obsessed and ugly about each other
after we like officially kind of left a couple, like I'd say like five years ago. But my mom is always
ingrained in me, and this is her opinion, but now I've taken it on as my own, that if you renew
your vows, like something happened to make you need to renew the vows, like, there was infidelity
especially.
I don't think that was the case with my parents, but who knows?
Yeah, that's not the case with everyone.
Of course not.
But I think that normally there must have been some sort of uneasiness for them to be like,
okay, let's like remember that we're married again.
what marriage is all about.
So I'm pretty pumped for.
I'm excited.
And Ashley, before we dive into your favorite emails, I did find the tweet from Luke Stone.
It says those ex-batchelor people commenting negatively on us, remind me of those kids
from high school that 10 years later still talk about how awesome they supposedly were at football.
My comment back to you, Luke, would be, it's not all negative.
We like a lot of the contestants.
Actually, most of them are, it is positive.
When, you know, we're big fans of I'd say 95% of the people on this season.
Yeah, there's usually like two or three that we have bad things to say.
Yeah.
And I would also like to say that Luke, there's a whole industry built around this show.
So if you don't want people stop, if you want people to stop talking about it, well,
then you just might want to find a new show to go on because the show would no longer last.
So with that, man, I don't have anything really negative to say about you other than I thought
it was childish what you did with Luke P.
But I hope next week you redeem yourself
and you're right back at it.
We wish you the best.
And most of the time,
we like to just celebrate the love stories being created.
All right.
I got an email here for you.
Cool.
This is from Casey.
Always Be My Baby is the title.
And I love that because it is one of my favorite movies
out there right now and probably
questionably,
my favorite chick flick since like 2010,
since something borrowed.
I keep saying 2010 because it's
Something borrowed came out then, and I can watch it all the time.
Whenever it's on, I click it.
But Always Me My Maybe is now out on Netflix, and it is so good, you guys.
If you like romantic comedies, it's a must.
So the email from Casey goes like this.
I loved Ashley and Jared's promo for Always Be My Maybe during tonight's episode of The Bachelorette.
I saw the Twitter that Sarah Silverman is throwing her support behind Randall Park,
the lead in the movie being people's sexiest man alive this year, which comes out in
November. My question for Ashley now is, now that you've met him, do you think he deserves
this title? Okay, well, maybe not the sexiest man alive, but he definitely deserves a picture
in that list of men. He is hilarious, and his character in the movie is extremely endearing.
Not only does the title always be my maybe obviously allude to.
to Jared and in my relationship
because we were just like,
is it going to happen?
Is it not going to happen?
Is it not going to happen?
The actual issues between Ali,
Ali and Randall's character in the movie
is very similar to the issues
that Jared and I have had to overcome.
Is it a good movie?
Have you not been listening to me?
No, I have.
I'm obsessed with it.
Like how good.
No, it's really good.
And Jared is very, you know,
he thinks he's a critic.
Yeah, he's a critic.
He watches movies through like a critic's microscope.
and he loved it.
Okay.
The Keanu Reeves cameo is hysterical.
Keanu Reeves sat two rows in front of us at the premiere and Jared was geeking out.
I'm pumped to watch it.
I saw, I was updating as I was scrolling through stuff trying to stay relevant on hot topics to always be my maybe promo.
I'm in on it.
I haven't seen it yet.
I have zero to comment.
But I looked up that Randall guy.
I mean, I could see.
It's very cute.
and I could see it.
It's got a great smile.
I was a big fan of fresh off the boat.
Yes.
Which she was in.
Yeah.
I think it's actually renewed.
Yeah.
So big fan of it, I guess I should say.
All right.
Here we go.
Next to email, one of our favorites, Bibiana.
I'm obsessed with Bibiana.
It says beautiful and with such good vibes.
Can we get an update on her?
Did she break up with her boyfriend?
If so, is she going to Bachelor in Paradise?
I think she's going to go to Bachelor in Paradise, I would assume.
have no idea, but I just feel like a Bibiana has to be there.
I think that she deserves it.
I think every time she goes on one of these shows, yeah, she's stuck around long in winter
games, but I think like the other times between Ari season and last Paradise, she doesn't
stay around nearly as much as the fan base wants her to.
So if she is single right now, I actually just expect to see her in paradise.
Bibiana is one of those people we talk very positively about.
Oh, absolutely.
Yeah, nothing negative to say about Bibiana.
There's nothing negative to say about her.
big fan of Bibiana.
Anyways.
Me too.
Favorite ask from Tiffany.
It says my best friend Aaron is moving from L.A. to Nashville at the beginning of July to start a new job at a church in Nashville.
She's a huge bachelor fan and two of her favorite people from the franchise are Ben and Ashley.
That's sweet.
Every time we get together, we always spend time recapping what you guys talked about on the Almost Famous podcast.
I wanted to see if it might be possible to have Ben or Ashley record a quick video that
we might be able to surprise her with at a goodbye party that we're throwing for her at the end
of June. It would mean the world to her. Yes, Ashley and I would do that at the end of the podcast.
We'll make sure it gets to you. But if for some reason it doesn't.
Well, also, Aaron, you're here. She's getting shouted out on the Almost Famous Podcast.
Yeah, I don't know what's better. A video from us or a nice little shout out on this Almost
Here's podcast. Aaron, also from Ashley and myself, good luck and have fun moving to Nashville,
an amazing city that I spent a ton of time in.
You're going to have a blast.
We're wishing you the best, but we'll also shoot you a video very soon.
Ashley, what do you have?
I got this one from Jeremy that says,
we're all the good-looking bald men.
Actually, on the topic of Randall Park in the promo,
which Jared and I could not believe they kept in the Always Be My Maybe Bachelor
at promo.
I was like, so what's your thing?
What's going to make you stand out amongst everybody else in the cast
if you were to do The Bachelor of The Bachelor.
even though they're both married.
And Randall goes, I'm an Asian man.
And we taped a few different versions of that.
We basically ad-libbed the entire commercial with like some guidelines.
And he just was so hung up on saying that.
And Jared and I got a kick out of it.
But of course, we had to record something else just in case like that wasn't approved.
And they approved it.
We were so happy.
So now we're going to talk about not only where all the good-looking Asian men are,
but what about the good-looking bald men?
So Jeremy says, I'm a 41-year-old male living with my wife and two kids in Montana.
We are huge Bachelor and Bachelorette fans.
As a bald man, I can appreciate the Bachelorette contestants with nice flowing locks of hair.
And as nice as that is, why is it that we never see any bald Caucasian men as contestants on the Bachelorette?
There's a lot of good-looking bald men out there, and we deserve a chance.
I agree.
I mean, there's so many bald men out there.
why not I can't answer that question other than the fact that most bald men are probably
not applying for the bachelor right I don't know I don't haven't seen the casting photos
it'd be great if they were right you don't even really see many receding men on the show no a nice
guy with a horseshoe on top of his head coming on confident and strong why not it's maybe
because they don't let them wear hats and like so many guys who are receding just are addicted
it to their hats.
Yeah, I would agree.
Who knows?
Let's talk to casting.
Absolutely ridiculous.
Hey, what a weird episode of the Almost Famous podcast for a couple reasons.
One is Ashley and are alive in studio in L.A.
And we typically love that.
But I thought this episode was probably going to be the hardest to break down.
Yeah, it was just a hard episode to break down.
It just doesn't make a lot of sense.
He said, she said.
And then it didn't come to a conclusion.
Yeah.
So we were like talking about things.
We don't know how it plays out.
True that.
so we did it we hope you're enjoying this season ashley just like we do every week before we go who
you're top three Tyler C. Jed and Peter and then grade what's your top three uh Tyler C
uh grant I love that dude he's like 40 year old uncle hanging out the party
uh Tyler C uh grant and Peter
I think are my favorites right now.
And then what's your grade on Hannah?
My grade on Hannah is now, well, it's an A.
It's an A, so it's gone up or down.
Got up from an A minus.
Okay.
It's an A minus.
Can I just say that I also appreciated Garrett this episode and I think he's been
overlooked.
Wow.
Big statement.
I don't think that he's going to make top four or anything, but I think that he is a good
catch and I think he'll make somebody happy in Paradise.
Yeah, I think he's a good Paradise contest.
would say Hannah B stuck about the same as she was last week. Nothing either way for me this
week. She jumped up to an A for me because consistency. Yeah. Honestly, my breakdown of this
and I'm sure I hope Lucas is listening. It kind of feels like his tweet like there was nothing
for us to say on this podcast other than negative things because it just felt like the whole
episode highlighted these contestants bad reactions to a really difficult scenario. And so the
only way to break down the episode was to highlight the negatives that were said and done and
lies and misfeelings and rage and those things. And so for me, I don't love those type of
episodes because the only positives came out of like the Tyler C date and the Jed day, but then half
the episode was just highlighting this group date and the feud between the Luke's and the feud
between the loops. I mean, look at Instagram and Twitter. The only thing that came out of it was
negativity on behalf of the masses. And there isn't really a good way to positively spin that other
than say, let's be slow to judge,
really slow to judge
on all of these contestants at this point
because it feels heavy.
And so Luke S, again,
if you're out there listening,
we're giving you some patience.
We're giving you some peace.
Until next week, when we break you down
once again on the Almost Famous Podcast.
Hey, with that, I've been Ben.
I've been Ashley. Bye.
Peace.
