We're here today to bring you the latest head. happening in Bachelor Nation. Ashley, let's dive into some of the headlines this week. I also want to remind listeners that we do a Frankie Friday. It usually ties in a couple different headlines.

If you're wondering why our headlines aren't like Taylor Frankie Paul forward, it's because on Fridays, we're specifically talking about the news surrounding Taylor Frankie Paul. And oftentimes there's other Bachelor contestants that are involved in some of that news. So today, let's focus. on some headlines happening here. Bachelor alum Emily Maynard Johnson's daughter, Ricky Hendrick delivers first baby. That's wild to remember Ricky on the show. That is why this is a headline. Ricky was a main character on Emily's season, which was just a huge peak in the franchise for me.

I loved her season so very much. And Ricky was just a little girl. Oh my God. If her season was I don't know, let's just pretend it's 13 years ago, a rough estimate, and Ricky is now 13. Yes, she was like 7 at the time, maybe even a little bit younger. And now she is a baby making her mom, Emily, at 39, a grandma, which I know isn't the craziest thing. And when you think that, like, Emily had her baby, Ricky, at 19. And now Ricky's having a baby at 20, neither, I mean, obviously very young moms, but also, like not teen pregnancies. I mean, 19, you know, you're like technically an adult. And I mean, what a blessing Ricky was to Emily, especially after the tragedy that followed. If you guys don't

remember or you didn't watch the show back then, Emily found out that she was pregnant with Ricky right after her fiance at the time, a race car driver, passed away in a plane crash. She found out that she was pregnant with their daughter. So really, really, really. I mean, just an emotional situation. But thank goodness that she has Ricky from that relationship. And yeah, so she's a grandma now. Ricky delivered via C-section. And the caption says we became grandparents today.

And the feeling is inexpressible. This is love. That's really like so crazy, so cool. And it's crazy to see how much Ricky is starting to look like her mom. Obviously, Emily Maydard will go down in history as, one of the most iconic bachelorette, if not the most of all time. Ashley, we have a contestant from The Bachelor and Bachelorette on Traders this season. And it is gaining a lot of steam on my algorithm, but I don't quite understand it.

So I need you to explain it to me. The headline reads this, the Traders Show Issue Statement. This is a big deal. Again, the Traders Show issue statement urging fans to stop harassing cast. And this is amid a Lisa Rina and Colton Underwood drama. Ashley, I don't understand what's happening. I haven't watched this season.

Okay, so I'm very interested in this drama because of the way that Lisa Rena explained her reaction, her statement. She said that she was coming at Colton in a housewife manner, to which my worlds are colliding here. I'm like, okay, so I have a Bachelor contestant. and a housewife contestant.

And apparently in these circles, we handle things differently. But because I don't watch traders, I do want our Stan, our Traders Stan, Heather, our producer to come on and explain exactly what's happening. Because when I follow just the show on Instagram, it looked as if Colton and Lisa were friends in the house initially, but it seems like things have been turned. Yeah. So obviously, this is a spoiler. If anybody is not caught up to the most recent episodes of the Traders.

Stop listening now. But yes, everybody knows this season, Lisa Rina is a traitor. And Holton has been extremely aggressive in his gameplay of being very vocal at the roundtables, getting people out. So far, they've been very, very wrong this whole season. But he is convinced in the most recent episodes that Lisa is a traitor. And so his way of staying in the game was that he confronted Lisa about this on camera and said, I know you're a traitor, blah, blah, blah. How did he know this?

He's just saying she's not acting like a housewife. He says she's been very quiet. She's not acting like herself. That's his tip off as to why she's a traitor. And she is basically, and he says to her, and now if you kill me tonight, now I really know you're a traitor. And so he's really doing it to keep himself in the game by confronting her in this way. So it's really about the drama, though, that has come off screen since this episode has aired.

If you want to read what happened online. Yes, yes. So she wrote underneath a comment, which was referring, okay, she wrote on Instagram, let's talk about you being a stalker, which we know is referring to Colton's past. Time out. She wrote that. She wrote that on Instagram. So this is like where it comes off the show. She was commenting back to a fan.

A fan wrote something, right? And that was her comment back when she retweeted it. Hmm. All right. So they're like not happy with each other outside of the show either. No, that's what's interesting. Because Lisa writes this on Instagram somewhere, referring to, of course, the harassment against Cassie.

And then she comes. comes on Instagram and posts on her own feed going like, oh my gosh, I can't believe how far this is being taken because I was just kind of having fun with Colton. He and I both on camera, off camera, having fun with each other. We get along very well. I did not mean to like start this thing by saying this. And this is when she says, if you wanted me to be a housewife, this is me reacting like a housewife. I'm being spicy here. I guess I'm confused. It's been a conversation, Heather, all season, right, about how the traders could cast Colton with his history. I mean, that has been something's been going on since really he got announced. And so that isn't new. No, and Demi from previous seasons, right, already did a very viral TikTok a couple weeks ago about the kind of edit he's getting and that it's been very positive for him. So yeah, a lot of people have had a lot of discourse on the internet about his casting in particular.

So this is what the traitors, like the official Instagram, like whoever the publicists are said in response to just this drama going on, said we are committing to making our cast feel safe, respected and supported, on screen and off screen. The cast of traitors are real people and what happens in the game. It should never lead to cyberbullying or harassment. There's a difference between discussing a show and targeting individuals. Let's not ruin the passion for the show. with unwarranted negativity and personal attacks.

We appreciate your support. And yeah, they released this one day after her comment on Instagram. I just want to comment here. It feels, I'm not going to put his past aside. I haven't talked to Cold and I don't know him anymore and know him well. But I'm just trying to lay this out and understand it as somebody hasn't watched, but is going to get into traders because it sounds like it's such a good show. obviously the stalking conversation has been a thing since he got cast.

As you mentioned, Heather, Demi did a video. Fans have been a little outraged that he would even be on this show. So that was going on. We knew it was a heated issue. What I'm confused by, and I'm trying to like communicate it in a way that would make sense, if Lisa and Colton are so close and such good friends, and she's just having fun with Colton and responding. in a spicy way. It feels like now they're at a place to make light of this situation that if they're

friends and they're joking with each other, now this stalking thing has become jokeworthy. Is that what we're trying to say? I think that, listen, Lisa made this, I would guess that Lisa made this comment not thinking it was going to gain as much traction as it did. We're also coming off of Colton has been getting a lot of attention. There was another situation with another cast member the week before that got very heated, that was about Colton saying that the comments coming towards him were about his homosexuality. So he's been in the throes of kind of a lot of stuff in the last, I would say,

two episodes of the show, really. So I think the statement that the show is making is not only about him, but also there's been a lot of traction for another cast member that Colton kind of led the team in banishing, which was Michael Rappapour. So I think it's just two weeks of a lot of aggressive content and comments on the internet that the show is now like, hey, hey, hey, we have to pump the brakes. And I think that Lisa just adding into this and her being the main focus of the most recent episode was really like, okay, this isn't actually fun.

It's actually starting to spin in a really negative way. So you kind of need to retract that. Has Colton been getting praise this season then? No, he's getting a lot of negativity because, like I said, he's being very vocal in the game, which is fun, but he's also been really wrong in how those are so he's like leading the charge on getting a lot of the wrong people kicked off the show. And so people have been like, maybe you should chill.

Okay. All right. All right. Well, now you've, I think after all these four seasons, you just may have gotten me to watch Hot Traders. I know. It sounds like you. Please do, guys.

Rachel Kirkconnell reunites with Tyler Cameron for a ski trip. This is obviously post the Matt James breakup with Matt and Rachel. The reason this is even the headline is because Tyler and Matt are, I don't know anymore, good friends. Yeah, this is actually quite juicy. because we don't see Matt James and Tyler hanging out much anymore. And even when both of them have been on the podcast, or I guess Matt's really never been on the podcast, but since,

well, long time ago we're talking about, but last time Tyler was on, I asked him about his friendship with Matt James, and it obviously seems just to be like a little bit more of a casual friendship than it used to be. They used to hang out all the time, but it has been freaking five years since they were hanging out during like the COVID crew.

anyway, now he's hanging out with Rachel. And I do, and I remember that like this was a weird triangle of like friendship and love. Not that it was ever romantic with Tyler, but like, I remember Rachel and Tyler had had at some point some weird tension. And anyway, now he's hanging out with her and they posted a very cute Instagram, TikTok, where they're lip syncing while they're up on a ski hill and said, like, why do we always have to get involved? Can't we just do normal stuff that people do like go for brunch before dramatically falling back into the snow and then he says what the f is brunch and i like all that that's very fun and then rachel said send prayers y'all in the comment the caption area and said tyler is trying to kill me i do think that uh i do think that he might be

closer with with rachel now um especially after a breakup like that i do i do wonder if you have to choose sides. I'm also just creating drama here. I'm being a housewife. One of the comments in the section was funny, said, you got Tyler and the divorce, question mark. I don't know.

It's good. It's good social media content. Justin Glaze to make acting debut alongside Mormon wife Whitney Levitt in new rom-com. This is huge news. Pardon me? Justin Glaze, what? haven't you told us about this is really juicy.

Okay, they're both going to be in this movie called All for Love. I wonder if there's any sort of reality spin to it because this is a ninth house production. Whitney's going to be playing the lead next to actor Jesse Cove, who will be acting as her love interest in the movie. And the logline is when a holiday dating app partnership forces podcaster Winona to test love online. she connects to the mystery man who feels like everything she's been missing. What she doesn't realize is that he is Luke, the rugged renovator transforming her grandmother's Christmas Eve venue. So the movie's currently in production.

It's slated for, as you might guess, based on the description, a holiday time in 2006. Just another thing that Whitney has added to her resume lately. That girl's busy. She's busy. And I wonder if there's any relationship. The here, like, is it going to be a Hulu movie? Are we doing another, like, ABC Hulu collab here?

Well, to stay tuned, but it's big for Justin Glace to get... Definitely, congrats. To get this opportunity. Final headline out today, Allie Fittatski Mano shares unsettling update on husband Kevin's thyroid cancer, nearly one year after becoming cancer free. We had the both of them on. oh, about a year ago, probably. Yeah, because he had the surgery in February.

Wow, time flies. And it's interesting, Ashley, since then. I've had multiple people in my life. Some people I love very dearly get diagnosed with thyroid cancer. And it does feel, you know, remember when we talked to him back in the day, before we get in the headline, obviously, this is an unsettling update. But remember, he was nervous more about the surgery than he was the cancer diagnosis. He was feeling very good about how they were going to proceed forward in removing the cancer

and helping him become cancer-free. I also remember then we gave the update soon after the surgery that he was cancer-free. But Ashley, obviously, this feels like a switching gears. So he had a follow-up ultrasound recently. She posted to her interstory because he only had half of his thyroid taken out in February. in the recent ultrasound found a spot that we need to watch, she said. And the part about it being unsettling, of course, is because that was how they were first worded his diagnosis.

Like, there's a spot that needs to be watched. So because this is how they found out about the first place, it just obviously doesn't feel like so great. The scan was detected initially with a full body scan with prenova, which I'm sorry, reminder I need to hook you up with. the primary care doctor advised him to return in a year to check on the spot. So this is his, this is a, what happened was initially they found the spot through the thing. And it said, you have to keep watching the spot.

A year later, they found the spot needed to be, well, it was doubled in size. So he needed to go take it out. And now we're just in a similar situation. So hopefully everything will be okay. and it'll be treatable again if it does become something. We'll be following this for everybody listening and maybe trying to get in touch with Kevin or Ali just to give us updates.
