Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an I-Heart podcast. I just normally do straight stand-up, but this is a bit different. What do you get when a true crime producer walks into a comedy club? He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her. Now he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone. Hold up. Isn't that against school policy? That seems inappropriate.
Starting point is 00:01:00 Maybe find out how it ends by listening to the OK Storytime podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. December 29th, 1975, LaGuardia Airport. The holiday rush, parents hauling luggage, kids gripping their new Christmas toys. Then everything changed. There's been a bombing at the TWA terminal. Discover your seaside escape at the Portofino Hotel and Marina. Okay, let's dive back into the Bachelor in Paradise Reunion. This is the Almost Famous
Starting point is 00:03:27 Podcast with IHeartRadio. Guys, almost famous podcast. Thank you so much for being here, Brian and Parisa. Thank you. So I want to say this. First of all, love the new look.
Starting point is 00:03:39 Yeah. I love where you're going with this. A lot of shade coming my way. I figured I'd just stay in the shade. Embrace it. Stay in the shade. Keep the hat, keep the hat, keep the glasses on.
Starting point is 00:03:47 So Parisa, you roll into Paradise. First of all, let's point out something here. Parisa is a fellow Detroiter. Yeah, it's represent. Represent. So I'm going to make sure I take care of you in this interview, okay? I much appreciate it. But I do have a goal for this interview, and I'm going to state it right up front.
Starting point is 00:04:03 I really want you guys back together. I'm going to figure it out. I'm getting to the bottom of this today, and I'm creating, I'm renewing a love connection, okay? Because I liked you guys as a couple on the show. So when Prisa and Allie Joe roll in to the Paradise Island, it is like a James Bond movie. Right? You guys are coming in. And I remember, I laughed about this out loud. I'm like, dude, Brian's head was on a swivel. It was just like immediate, like, honest to God. And it was like, what? And it was probably saying what we were all thinking at home. Like, who in the hell is this? Where are they coming from? What is going on? And you guys just sort of took the island by storm, scared the hell out of everyone that was already there, right? Yeah. I think you were one of the first like new, well, were the first new women that came out of the island? I think we were. And so it just sort of like just really sent some ripples right through the beach obviously created a whole storyline for for our boy Brian here right I mean yeah you were just getting shredded but I mean it has to be it
Starting point is 00:05:04 has to be interesting because part of the the beauty of Bachelor in Paradise is that people go there to make love connections and meet each other and everything but there are also always new people coming and so it's like yes you want to get to know the people that are there but if someone comes in that is more your speed right? You either have to make a choice. Someone's either going to get their feelings hurt or, you know, whatever. And Brian, I mean, you kind of really drew a line in the sand. I don't know if you guys noticed what I did there, the island. Sand. You drew a line in the sand right away. You're like, okay, hi, Prisa, I'm Brian. I mean, it was immediate for you, it wasn't it? It was. Paradise to your paradise. And, like, I don't understand what people don't understand about that. Right. It's, we're in week two. And it's like opportunities are open. And, like, people that are getting locked down immediately, like, God bless. Spencer and Jess, you know, lockdown immediately, I love it for a site. But aside from that, like, this isn't like, let's explore our options here. Right. Yeah. So I didn't really understand, you know, the viewers' comments, so to speak. Right. But, you know, it's our own journey
Starting point is 00:06:10 and we have to live it. Right. Yeah. I made sure, too, like, I knew, you know, stepping foot onto that beach that there were probably already relationships established. And so that was my mindset of, you know, like, I'm going to kind of scope everything out. I don't want to go after someone who's, like, really locked in, like, Spencer. Like, that's no point there. But I kind of wanted to allow Brian to handle all of that because that's, like, not, I know, I'm sorry, like, it's not my place to, like, now be the third one in, you know, their personal conversation of like, oh, okay, so what's up?
Starting point is 00:06:47 Like, how's this going? You know, like, I wanted him to take care of all of it. that. That was his, that was your business. Yeah, for sure. Yeah. And then, um, just see what came next out of, you know. I think that, I think that's almost the only way you can handle it, right? Like, what are you going to do? Go walking over to Zoe and be like, hi, I'm here now. Yeah. You're not going to do that. I know, you know, it was actually like watching everything back. I remember, you know, when Ellie Joe and I, um, stepped onto the beach, you know, we're kind of like talking everybody. And then we get pulled into a conversation with Zoe and um at that oh i remember this actually yeah yeah and
Starting point is 00:07:24 you know we're talking we're asking like what's you know low down here fill us in and it was funny because before going into that conversation i had spoken to l.a jo i'm like you know i have my eye on brian i think he's really cute i want to get to know him what about you l a joe and she was like oh you know i don't know yet maybe dale maybe jonathan and i'm like okay so we go into the conversation and the first thing, Zoe's like, yeah, like I'm talking to Brian and Dale, and then I look at Ellie Joe, I'm like, oh, wonderful. But didn't she take it one step
Starting point is 00:07:53 further? So stay away from them. Don't touch my name. Yeah. Don't touch my name. One of them two. And then she goes, well, who are you girls looking at? And I look at Ellie Joe, I'm like, nobody. Yeah. Don't one. Yeah. What are you going to do? Yeah. I'm like, there's just no more. Your, like, reaction to her was hilarious. You and Ali Joe both are like. Yeah. Yeah. It was such, you know,
Starting point is 00:08:08 the beauty of the Baxter franchise is the fact that is like the single greatest editors in the world. And they produce romance so well. So I mean, they always have you know. And it's like one of those things that's like oh, so stay away from my man. It's like da-d-d-da. You know, all of a sudden it's like, oh, okay. You know, yeah, I'm not going to do anything
Starting point is 00:08:26 here on the beach, right? Yeah. Yeah. Did you guys feel an instant connection? Like, the two of you just, it seemed like you did. Like you almost kind of like gravitated to each other other way. And then you went on that date right, where you were like the bar games. That was pretty hot. That was awesome. Games at Wells.
Starting point is 00:08:44 It was actually, it was so funny. The car ride to the dates, I guess we weren't supposed to be left unsupervised. And the entire time, we just talked the whole time. I'm like getting to know him, not thinking like, oh, we should probably save this on camera during the date. But, I mean, we had like an hour, an hour in the car. Oh, my gosh. That's awesome. And I'm finding out so much like he loves music.
Starting point is 00:09:09 I love to sing. And I'm like, oh, my God, wow. And it was amazing. Then we get to the date and we're having fun. And then, you know, we're sat at a table to talk. And I'm like, I already know him. Yeah. I love this.
Starting point is 00:09:19 This is like, I don't know what I'll, like, I don't know. Like, I had my mind made up already at that point, but everything was off camera. It was a great car ride. Yeah. We went over like so much. And it was already like, we were just like connected already on the car ride. Well, it's not your fault. They didn't film it, right?
Starting point is 00:09:34 I mean, maybe they just knew, like I know that there's something here, right? And so we're going to keep mining this because I think that's good. So, you know, I noticed today, just to kind of let the cat out of the bag, earlier today, you guys said that you weren't currently together. And you said, you know, I think Parisa said it very nicely. You said, well, life just kind of got in the way, right? And I get it. I mean, Brian, you've been pretty candid about the fact that you were kind of fully invested in your restaurant
Starting point is 00:10:03 and getting that off the ground and everything. And that can take a lot of time. I mean, the restaurant industry is no easy feat. It's awful, man. Yeah. But, you know, that's what you love to do. you know, so there's going to be those times. Since you've been back here, I mean, you had to sit, like, you know,
Starting point is 00:10:17 I think the chairs might have been a quarter of an inch apart all day, right? You guys sat there for several hours. I mean, I forced you to sit really close on this couch. Is this something that makes you guys kind of feel a little reconnected? I mean, is there anything that you've, like, you notice that, you know, oh, yeah, these are things I really liked about him that maybe, you know, got a little off-kilter, you know, after being in feathers and stuff on a whole day and a long day for everybody. but I mean was it ever like that moment where you're like I actually do have fun with this guy
Starting point is 00:10:45 and and where you're thinking man you know this is this is a lot of fun I I enjoy spending time with her we uh we went about four weeks without speaking yeah that's tough and um we saw each other last night in the lobby and she wouldn't make eye contact with me yeah and finally a moment to warm off finally was like let me play it for a chat well it could have been hard because she can't see your eyes with those damn shades I mean do you know she wasn't making eye goddamn with you?
Starting point is 00:11:16 No, so it was like you guys so you kind of you just decided to just saddle up and be like hey can we please talk? It had to be done. Yeah. I'm glad you did.
Starting point is 00:11:25 And it's like once we started talking each other again it was like now like I totally realize why I was like attracted to this person and why I had a connection with this person
Starting point is 00:11:35 and a piece of it said and a piece of it is very, very real Yeah. Yeah, I can see how, like, in paradise, it is such a fixed environment where you don't have any of the outside noise to get in the way. Yep. So, like, in a perfect world, you have paradise to build that foundation in the relationship, and then afterwards you take it outside, and then you allow it to grow even more in the real world. Right. But I guess in our circumstance, it was just the different schedules, his career, my career, it was just all so much.
Starting point is 00:12:18 And then on top of that, the long distance, where it just was not the right environment for our relationship to grow. Sure. My name is Ed. Everyone say hello, Ed. from a very rural background myself my dad is a farmer and my mom is a cousin so like it's not like what do you get when a true crime producer
Starting point is 00:12:42 walks into a comedy club I know it sounds like the start of a bad joke but that really was my reality nine years ago I just normally do straight stand-up but this is a bit different on stage stood a comedian with a story that no one expected to hear 22nd of July 2015
Starting point is 00:13:00 23 year old man had killed his family. And then he came to my house. So what do you get when a true crime producer walks into a comedy club? A new podcast called Wisecrack, where stand-up comedy and murder takes center stage. Available now.
Starting point is 00:13:25 Listen to Wisecrack on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. My boyfriend's professor is way too. friendly and now I'm seriously suspicious. Well, wait a minute, Sam, maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit. Well, Dakota, it's back to school week on the OK Storytime podcast, so we'll find out soon. This person writes, my boyfriend has been hanging out with his young professor a lot. He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her.
Starting point is 00:13:48 Now, he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone. Now, hold up. Isn't that against school policy? That sounds totally inappropriate. Well, according to this person, this is her boyfriend's former professor and they're the same age. And it's even more likely that they're chief. He insists there's nothing between them. I mean, do you believe him?
Starting point is 00:14:05 Well, he's certainly trying to get this person to believe him because he now wants them both to meet. So, do we find out if this person's boyfriend really cheated with his professor or not? To hear the explosive finale, listen to the OK Storytime podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. December 29th, 1975, LaGuardia Airport. The holiday rush. Parents hauling luggage.
Starting point is 00:14:32 gripping their new Christmas toys. Then, at 6.33 p.m., everything changed. There's been a bombing at the TWA terminal. Apparently, the explosion actually impelled metal, glass. The injured were being loaded into ambulances. Just a chaotic, chaotic scene. In its wake, a new kind of enemy emerged, and it was here to stay. Terrorism.

What would you do if one bad decision forced you to choose between a maximum security prison or the most brutal boot camp designed to be hell on earth. Unfortunately for Mark Lombardo, this was the choice he faced. He said, you are a number, a New York State number, and we own you. Shock incarceration, also known as boot camps, are short-term, highly regimented correctional programs that mimic military basic training. These programs aim to provide a shock of prison life,
Starting point is 00:16:28 emphasizing strict discipline, physical training, hard labor and rehabilitation programs. Mark had one chance to complete this program and had no idea of the hell awaiting him the next six months. The first night was so overwhelming, and you don't know who's next to you. And we didn't know what to expect in the morning. Nobody tells you anything. Listen to shock incarceration on the IHeart Radio app,
Starting point is 00:16:51 Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Okay, I have to put you on to these leggings. obsessed with lately. Starting point is 00:17:38 in need. Isn't that so awesome? Tona is on a mission to end teen suicide and self-harm, which we think is so important and so incredible of them. You know, I mean, and there's some. something to you said too. Like you guys were in paradise for a couple weeks there and it wasn't the easiest time for Brian, right? I mean, every time you turned around, you're kind of stepping into a little bit, not necessarily as a viewer. You were doing the right thing sometimes and you're getting grief for it, you know? And so in those circumstances, that probably made it hard for you
Starting point is 00:18:51 guys too because there's like conflict and you're hearing about it and he's feeling attacked, I'm sure at times. And it's like, what the hell can I, I can't do anything right? You know, and Granted, I get it. There can be personalities that you'll come into play. But now having some time to look back on it and spending time like you are here where it's sort of a little lighter, not as aggressive, 500 grand is not up for grabs. There's not people getting engaged all over the place. I mean, I feel like I sense that there's a connection here. I'm just saying.
Starting point is 00:19:21 I feel like perhaps, you know, Detroit to New York, I did that. I did that for three years with a relationship. And I was going to say, you know, it ended up working out, all right. You know, then I did Detroit to L.A. Even worse. That's terrible. Yes. But it works when it's the right person.
Starting point is 00:19:40 When it's the right person, you have those feelings for them, you will do anything to make it work. Yeah. But sometimes you've got to go through challenges to get to the other side to realize that right person might be right under your nose. I'm just saying. Okay. Enough about my pontificating here. So I thought it was interesting tonight when we were in the earlier interviews and stuff where Kathy, where Brian, you got a little fired up at Kathy.
Starting point is 00:20:09 Right? And you said, you know, you basically said to her, you're like, you know, well, if it wasn't about the money, why'd you vote us off? Yeah. And I thought it was really interesting because I love Kathy and Keith. Like I adore them. I've done a ton of events with them, interviewed them both a billion times. and I loved Kathy's kind of she has like maternal
Starting point is 00:20:29 you know nurturing thing for you and it was interesting because I asked her earlier I said you know well that when that popped up you know what was that all about because we didn't really see that on camera you know and she even said she's like she's like well I thought that if they got out of that environment that they might be able to make it work she's like because I did like
Starting point is 00:20:47 certain things about their relationship and so when you got Kathy's vote of confidence I mean you know you got another something there But I think it's really sweet that you guys see And you guys gave each other a big hug out there And like we're so excited She was crying when she saw you I mean there's something special for you too
Starting point is 00:21:02 As a friend, isn't there? Yeah, yeah, when we keep in touch We talk all the time Even during that time in paradise When all this was happening Like she was telling me Way before the voting Yeah
Starting point is 00:21:12 And I'm not sure I don't know if I've shared all of this with you During that time there But I would go to her all the time And I would vent to her I would ask for advice. She knew I wasn't doing well.
Starting point is 00:21:27 And I told her too. I mean, me personally, I didn't sign up for this paradise. I signed up for the old paradise. I wanted that time alone on the beach, the possible engagement at the end. And so now with the money mixed in and the stress of voting, I couldn't take it. I really couldn't do it anymore. And I told her, I'm like, I'm not here for the money. I love the challenges.
Starting point is 00:21:49 The challenges I thought were so good for us because we, worked together and it just also like again I kept saying it shed all these layers for us and I wanted to stay. You guys need to be a good team too. You know you really did it. It was so, it was so funny the challenge is sometimes, the
Starting point is 00:22:07 walkie talkie one I thought that was so hilarious. We were very patient with each other. We were very patient. Well I heard the walkie talkies weren't even working half the time and we caught onto that quick and so I would be, I would, the whole bangle thing I was like bengal B as in boy Bangle. I don't know what a bangle was?
Starting point is 00:22:23 like the tiger NFL team what are you talking about it's a bracelet you idiot oh all right I got it yeah bangle okay so you learn something new it was hilarious and like I totally forgot that that challenge was timed
Starting point is 00:22:39 and then they're like okay time's up I'm like oh we were times like I told me it was just so much fun we did have so much fun you caught up in the moment so I wish Paradise the whole promise of it I wish it changed I wish it was just the challenges to bring us closer and, you know, to overcome obstacles together instead of the whole voting.
Starting point is 00:22:59 The voting, that stress, that was just horrible. And but yeah, I told all that to Kathy. And I told her that, like, I can't take it. I can't do it anymore. I don't want the money. But that was, again, there's other couples that are there for the money and they are there for all of that. So she told me, she was like, you know, like, I see something between you guys and this environment here might break you. Yeah, it could be caustic, right?
Starting point is 00:23:23 Some of those moments can fuse people together and some of them can split them apart. It might have nothing to do with what you could have outside of that environment. You know? Just saying, guys. Just reminding one more time, just hitting that thing on the head there. So to that point,
Starting point is 00:23:39 you know, when you're talking about the voting, I remember this episode, the scene of the episode, which I thought was hysterical, by the way, when Sean is out there throwing together the parliament paradise. And it looked like, Brian, it looked like you were from like me to Easton like five feet away and he's like so here's a deal
Starting point is 00:23:55 we're gonna vote off Brian a priest and you're like much further and I'm like does he not see him there? The way that was shot I'm like what in the hell is going on? He was like I'm gonna punch me back. I'm like I'm done and I'm like whoa no no no yeah I mean it was kind of shocking how close he you seemed like you were like it looked like you were totally
Starting point is 00:24:13 listening in that was 15 feet away from oh my god so it wasn't as it was as bad as I thought of it happened a few times it wasn't just that scene it happened a few times with him I'm like, come take a walk with me right now. Yeah. No,
Starting point is 00:24:25 I loved it. I loved it. I'm talking to him and he's just lying to my face and I'm like. I love that they're flashing about it. He's like, no, I know.
Starting point is 00:24:31 I'm like, Brian. I'm like, we're on the TV show back. Yeah. Not much I could really do about this. No. Well, you know, we talked about that a little bit tonight too.
Starting point is 00:24:40 I think, you know, Parisa, you could tell that you were, you had some things you wanted to say tonight and you said them without creating more conflict,
Starting point is 00:24:51 which I think is a pretty, interesting remarkable trait right it's like um and i think also brian you in particular there were a couple moments where i'm sure you wanted to fly off the handle and you know i mean come on you're a new yorker buddy new yorkers and detroiters we're not that far apart with uh reaction times on things and uh but you held it back too and i'm interested if um if that was something that you liked seeing in him when he you know because i'm sure there were some buttons that you knew were being pressed by things some people were saying He didn't take the bait, which, you know, can happen.
Starting point is 00:25:25 Was that something that you found to be a redeeming quality? Because I know, like you guys said, you didn't talk for like a month, and then you came in here and reconnect. Yeah. Well, he did that a lot, too, during our time on the show. There were moments where he would get really upset, and he would just, like, curl his lip, think I could hear him swallow, and then...
Starting point is 00:25:44 Bite his tongue. Yeah. And I could tell. Like, we would talk about it, you know, things that bothered him. But, yeah, I've always... acknowledged that and praised him for you know that composure um and yeah you did it again today and you know it's you brought up you know like avoiding conflict it's something that it's sad that in today's world it's like we avoid bringing up something that bothers us because we do not want the
Starting point is 00:26:12 conflict right and when we feel this need to it's like okay i have to move on from this i have to bring it up all that it does is just create more conflict yeah Makes you the villain all of a sudden. You said that tonight. Yeah. I thought that was really eloquent how you said this. During the show, like I did, I had, you know, some moments where I wanted to speak up so much. Like, it was killing me, but then I'm like, well, then I'm just going to be made at the aggressor.
Starting point is 00:26:37 So why even speak up? Like, I'm capable of brushing things under the rug and moving on. So why don't I just do that then? Yeah. And then in the end, though, when I start seeing how things are played back, then it's like, okay, I just silenced myself to keep peace. Is that worth it? Is that worth it to me? Especially if you're carrying it with you.
Starting point is 00:26:57 So it's like, you know, when you have to watch a show back and you see how it's edited and, you know, there's, like I always used to say when people would be like, oh, well, you got a good at it. That's why everyone, you know, thinks you're so nice. I'm like, well, if I didn't say stuff, they couldn't use it, right? It wasn't that I didn't think it. It's just I didn't say it, you know? And so there's a certain part of that I'm sure plays into that,
Starting point is 00:27:14 especially on a show like this, that let's be honest, this new format of Bachelor in Paradise was put together, I think, to create more attention. Yeah. Right? I mean, you know, who we kidding, right? It does. You introduce money.
Starting point is 00:27:27 You introduce these contests that, you know, and then you're in a situation where it's like all of a sudden you're looking at each other like, oh, my God, do I want the money? Do I want this person? I don't know. And there's that element that I think is pretty fascinating. So, yeah, I think there's a lot to think about there. But I thought you guys handled yourself very well.
Starting point is 00:27:45 It was my point. You're very welcome. Thank you. My name is Ed. Everyone say, hello, Ed. I'm from a very rural background myself. My dad is a farmer, and my mom is a cousin. So, like, it's not like...
Starting point is 00:28:01 What do you get when a true crime producer walks into a comedy club? I know it sounds like the start of a bad joke, but that really was my reality nine years ago. I just normally do straight stand-up, but this is a bit different. On stage stood a comedian with a story. story that no one expected to hear. The 22nd of July 2015, a 23-year-old man
Starting point is 00:28:23 had killed his family. And then he came to my house. So what do you get when a true crime producer walks into a comedy club? A new podcast called Wisecrack, where stand-up comedy and murder takes center stage.
Starting point is 00:28:43 Available now. Listen to Icecrack on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly, and now I'm seriously suspicious.
Starting point is 00:29:10 Now, he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone. Now, hold up. Isn't that against school policy? That sounds totally inappropriate. Well, according to this person, this is her boyfriend's former professor, and they're the same age. It's even more likely that they're cheating. He insists there's nothing between them. I mean, do you believe him?
Starting point is 00:29:26 Well, he's certainly trying to get this person to believe him because he now wants them both to meet. The holiday rush, parents hauling luggage, kids gripping their new Christmas toys. Then, at 6.33 p.m., everything changed. There's been a bombing at the TWA terminal. Apparently, the explosion actually impelled metal, glass.
Starting point is 00:30:10 The injured were being loaded. into ambulances, just a chaotic, chaotic scene. In its wake, a new kind of enemy emerged, and it was here to stay. Terrorism. A foot washed up a shoe with some bones in it. They had no idea who it was. Most everything was burned up pretty good from the fire that not a whole lot was salvageable.
Starting point is 00:31:28 These are the coldest of cold cases, but everything is about to change. Every case that is a cold case that has DNA. Right now in a backlog will be identified in our lifetime. A small lab in Texas is cracking the code on DNA. Using new scientific tools, they're finding clues in evidence so tiny you might just miss it. He never thought he was going to get caught. Starting point is 00:32:40 find a location near you or order online at pinkberry.com. Now, the tweet. Let's talk about the tweet, right? I know it's probably you're sick of talking about it. But the tweet that started World War III, it seemed out there tonight on the conversation. About the whole you bringing up to Zoe the whole thing, no, the Bailey rather sorry. You brought it to Bailey, what Jeremy had said about, Sue. right and that became kind of a big thing and then it was it seemed like there was a lot of
Starting point is 00:33:14 lobbying back and forth and to that point Brian didn't say a word about it you sat there tonight like silent while the other two parties were kind of going at it why was that so it's like when something like that occurs it's like let them speak up first digest it and then you could respond yeah and I just watched them where Bailey went after Alex and then she went after Andrew and then Cat got involved and it's like okay now you see how they're getting involved it's funny because when we're at the row ceremony
Starting point is 00:33:45 none of you people were even spoken about I was the number one target and she was my number one attorney defending me and my partner defending me throughout the end of that's why then I spoke up afterwards and I'm like it's interesting how this energy has now shifted after viewership
Starting point is 00:34:00 has watched this back and shown you all that you guys are wrong right yeah and now you guys are pointing fingers at people that, Katz said 24 hours. You guys have known this for 10, 12, 14 days. Right. What was going on. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:14 And no one spoke up about it. And now you're all turning on each other in front of us right now at the reunion. I'm just going to sit back and watch. And I was literally, didn't joke. No, you eat popcorn. Yeah. I was like, I'm just going to sit back and watch us and not say a word. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:25 But I'm going to chime in afterwards and be like, where was this energy then when I became target number one? And her and I were like literally on the chopping block for like three ceremonies in a row after that. Yeah. And it's like, oh, we can't trust them. We can't trust them. Trust me about what? Like, what do you guys have to hide?
Starting point is 00:34:40 Like, there's, you know what I mean? It was interesting, right? It was interesting, yeah. I'm not a snitch, I'm not a rat. Like, whatever you want to call it. Like, I'm not, Bailey's like an amazing person. Yeah. She's the most well-rounded, probably the most well-rounded individual out of our entire
Starting point is 00:34:53 group. Sure. I think a lot of people would say that about her. So I just, the energy shift, I just had to watch it. Yeah. It was, it was interesting to watch. I was enjoying the outside looking in. Honestly, it was like, why is Brian talking?
Starting point is 00:35:06 What's going on? on. He was like, public enemy number one here. Oh, it felt so good to watch. Yeah. Because I'm like, I don't even think I've ever been in a more intense moment that rose ceremony because I walked into it. I'm thinking, it was like, uh, right, you know, something might happen tonight, like, because of what I said, but it was intense.
Starting point is 00:35:22 Like Andrew attacking me, Spencer attacking me. Them, like, judging our relationship without context. Even Spencer had mentioned it. Like, you know, there's 12 things, 12 rumors said a day. I don't know which one's true. Well, that night he knew every single one, which was true, which was not true. Right. And he was just assuming everything.
Starting point is 00:35:36 thing. Even when he was saying and portraying today, he was guilty of in that moment during that rose ceremony. Yeah. Which he did kind of pay homage and respect to me later. He's like, listen, you took so much heat that night, dude. That like, I got to give you a lot of respect. You never got defensive.
Starting point is 00:35:52 Right. And that's not an easy thing to do. Right. I mean, I get defensive about everything. I mean... Easton, why are you looking at me, though? You call me fat? Yeah, no, I thought... I thought it's got to be hard because I've had a situation in my life, too, where you're expected to have a bro code, right?
Starting point is 00:36:10 And it's like, why? If my bro does something dumb and it's going to hurt someone, I'm supposed to somehow protect him so this person gets hurt, I don't necessarily agree with that. You know what I mean? So I think there's a certain line that can happen where you're going to be like, you know, I'm not sure how I feel about that.
Starting point is 00:36:27 And I think you handled that well. So, all right. Last question. Salty in the VIP lounge. I didn't even know what we were talking about tonight until that came up. And the favorite color thing, which I thought was really kind of funny
Starting point is 00:36:41 that you chose magenta. Is it... Magenta, fuchsia, that's what you said. In retrospect, now, it looked like you kind of recognized that you handled that situation poorly. For sure. Did that mean anything to you, Teresa?
Starting point is 00:36:59 Well, he also, he recognized it that night, later that night, too. We talked about it. it was hours later I can't I don't even know if I was like in the kitchen in the suite he like walked in he was like look I'm really sorry about all of that
Starting point is 00:37:13 and he explained I knew like he was hot tired hungry and um like you said you were all hot tired and hungry yeah no I know I it was more I understood where it came from and it was more my point of it was exactly that
Starting point is 00:37:31 like we all were but like I adapted to the situation And I knew if I just smiled and, like, you know, gave the producers that last shot. That's all they want, that last shot of us walking in and, like, you know, talking about how excited we are to have this night together. I knew that that's done. They're gone. And we have the whole night to just enjoy what we worked hard for to win.
Starting point is 00:37:52 Yeah. And, yeah, it was just, we talked about it. It was just unfortunate that, like, in that moment in the beginning, he just had a hard time, just, like, adjusting. Yeah. I felt a little short of that, yeah. Yeah. But, hey, it can happen, right?
Starting point is 00:38:08 Yeah, and it does. And that's what I was saying, too. Like, when we brought it up again, I don't want one low moment to be something that's so big that labels him. Sure. You know, it's like we all have moments like that, you know, and it's, again, it was just unfortunate that it happened during that time. But I don't think that, you know, after producers left, the camera's left, like, that wasn't the rest of our night. Right. It wasn't.
Starting point is 00:38:33 And so it's, yeah, it was just like, you know, like we're all good. It's probably going to happen again one day in the future too. It's like, you know, you catch someone at the wrong time when they're hungry and hot and irritated. You know, like we're not perfect. It's going to happen. But he recognized it that night and we talked about it. Okay, I was lying. I have one more question.
Starting point is 00:38:55 Actually, I have two more. So, and then we have to wrap it up. I know. We're running out of tape, apparently. So was this your first time seeing each other since you guys broke up? First of all. Secondly, how are you guys feeling right now? Like, because I feel, I don't know if I'm the only one, I feel the love in the room.
Starting point is 00:39:16 I do. I feel it. I just do. I like you guys together. And I think that, you know, sometimes you need that balance of he can be a hothead, right? He needs somebody like you to keep him kind of in check. And then maybe she can get emotional. Or maybe, actually, it would probably be maybe you might be too nice sometimes.
Starting point is 00:39:32 times. I'm sort of seeing that because we Detroiters have that same vibe. And so we need this guy to come in and kind of, you know, be like, let's go. Let's move it along. I don't know. I'm just putting it out there. But is this the first time you guys saw each other since the breakup? And where are your heads right now? So in like right after we got back from Paradise, I went to
Starting point is 00:39:50 New York and saw him. And it was nice. It was a good weekend. But then it was like that was it. We went back to work. And like then, you know, like his work schedule again like he just was just not available and again I'm not holding that against him at all like this is like we're going to have times in our lives where our career is just it has to be number one priority sure and it just it was tough and the timing was tough right you come off the show where you want to be together more but he's also got to
Starting point is 00:40:26 bury himself in this thing he's throwing everything he's got into his career just open And the rest of the way, literally just opened. I came back and we just opened the doors. So, Brian, where's your head? Like, where are you, where are you at right now with this relationship? Dutted. Yeah, yeah, better not be what your hat says. I'm putting my neck out there right now.
Starting point is 00:40:47 This is just fun that, like, the season's over and, you know, it's lighthearted. Every, all of us cast, we all love each other. Yeah. As deep as it may seem, it's not that deep. Yeah. And I think she's an amazing person. And she's a lot of fun to be with and a lot of fun to talk to. And she's super supportive.
Starting point is 00:41:07 And it's, you know, it's... Is the door open is all, I guess, America wants to know. When we look at each other, it's like, well, and it's like almost like where we were in paradise again. Yeah, I like that. I like that. It's interesting. I think I might buy you guys some margaritas tonight. I'm going to say, what happens?
Starting point is 00:41:30 I'll say, I got an expense account here at I Heart. I don't know if you guys knew that. That's like you up on it. I don't know if they even know I have an expense account, but I'm going to use my A Heart credit card to me. All right, you guys. Well, I happen to really like the two of you. I think that I don't know why I feel a kinship with Pisa
Starting point is 00:41:48 because we're Detroiters. I did have a family member from Asapico Park, so I know Long Island. But I wish you to so well. And I hope that this could potentially turn back into something for you guys. you for coming on an Almost Famous podcast with us. Thanks for sharing your lives with us and where things are.
