This is the Ben and Ashley I, almost famous podcast with IHartRadio. Oh, my palms are sweating. I'm sweating. I'm pitting out. We just got news that Ashley, I, and myself are going to find out who the next Bachelor is. Live on this podcast. Live on this podcast. Can I just tell you that Ben is added to the suspense by not answering his phone for the past hour?

And we had to find out together. Yeah, where were you, Ben? I called you like nine times. You were in your car. You didn't look at your phone for an entire hour in your car, which just is a demonstration of how good of a safe driver you are. Yeah, you're not supposed to do that. Were you singing the new Taylor Swift song?

I wish. No, no, I was driving. I have the content on one thing. The studio is about two hours from my house. So I got a little driving from me. All right, that's enough. Okay, good. Stop ripping on me.

Who is the next bachelor? Who is it? All right. So here's what's going to happen. In moments, People Magazine and Good Morning America are going to reveal it. And people will be able to listen to our podcast right after. So Mark and I, Mark our other producers here, and we're going to reveal it. And then we want each of you don't step on each other to give your reaction.

Okay. So we can have one loud gas for something, right? You can have a gas, so you can have whatever. And then you guys share your thought. So I struggle with his last name. So I will first say. who it is, and then Mark will help me with his last name. Here we go.

Tell us his last name. The next Bachelor. Is Ari. No freaking way. Wait, Mark, can you say his last name? Ari Lyondike. Freaking way. The great H-car driver.

What is a lying fuck? That is. I'm sorry. Can you say that? Yeah. That is so weird. My sister was just speculating, and she came up with that. And I was like, there's just no way.

Totally irrelevant at this point. Wow. So Ari from, what season was he? I believe he was Emily Maynard number two. So he was beat by Jeff Holm for the love of Emily Maynard, which didn't last. Why are they going so far back? I mean, I'm just giving you the information. This is so weird.

Wait, so there's the deal. So Arnie's got to be now in his mid-30. He's 35. He's 6 foot 3, I believe, and he's 35. He's born in 1981. He has dark brown hair with a speckle of gray. He, uh, did I get his height right? His family is a part of, just to get some people with some background here.

His family is a part of the Lion Dike Racing family. Ari, from what I know about him, you know, he's a race car driver, or he's an indie car driver himself. He obviously has not found love since the show, which concerns me a little bit. Make your driver, you're looking, your calls. Wait, Ben, your phone sucks. Keep driving for a second. Ashley, you talk while Ben tries to get a better signal. Okay, well, he was supposed to be, or he was, the Bachelor was down to, the choice of Bachelor was down to Crystal and Ari.

when I was about to go on the show. And they made the decision that was Chris Seult. And I even told casting, I go, if it's Ari, I probably won't do it, but I'll do it for Chris. And that's just so weird. Not as I think it's Ari, I just felt like, I felt really detached from him. Like, I never had an emotional connection to him. He seems like a nice guy. I was always just so team Jeff home that I couldn't, that I didn't even see Ari.

I just was so invested in Jeff. What a bad judge of character. I know, right? I know, for real. So they cast all the women before they cast a Bachelor? I think they have it down to at least roughly 50. I think they have it down to at least 50 at this point. And then they break it down for there.

Have either of you met him? I've met him many, many times. Oh, really? What do you think, Amy? What do you think? I'm trying to remember because it's so blurry. What year was that? It was 2000.

It was the summer of 2017. 13. I mean, I've hung out with him quite a bit. Like, a lot. I like him a lot. A lot. Like, I've had lunches and dinners and all sorts of hanging out with him. He's a really good guy. Oh, good. Yeah, I have nothing but nice

things to say about him. I just have not seen him in years. It was the summer of 12. That's so weird. Well, that was the summer of 2012. You guys, no wonder I don't remember. It was five years ago. I can't be expected to remember five years ago. And I actually have couple of girlfriends who dated him, post-emily Maynard.

Yes, and one, I think he hung out with, within the last couple months. Oh, you know more than we do. Yeah, no, I like him a lot. I've never known how to say his last name, though. How do you say that? Lion-dyke. Lion-dyke. You guys, this is so random.

I'm wondering what drove in to pick such a rando. Well, let's break it down. So Fleiss's tweets were right. Like, I am shocked. are you yep i'm shocked it wasn't from jojo season it um probably somebody who actually is in it for love not fame right now because he's already had that taste and well let's be honest this is this is the greatest thing that's ever happened to this guy oh yeah well i mean he does come from a lion die family like that's not like like discount his family they're very successful

wealthy, good-looking family. So, Ari, if he wanted fame, he has a name to back it, you know? Yeah. I want to know, I guess the question then would be, we got to get someone in the line. Why wasn't Ari chosen last time above Sean Lowe? No, oh, Sean Lowe. Was it Sean Lowe or Chris Stoles? It was Sean Lowe.

He's already beaten out for this title. Sean and. It was Sean Lowe, who was the Bachelor after Emily made it. Yeah. And then Chris, he was. is the ultimate selection up against him. So this is just, yeah, weird. It's finally his time.

He kept his name in the bucket. It's kind of like Nick. It's kind of like, oh, it is. It's just like Nick. They obviously think he's very bachelor worthy. Well, there you go. Final thoughts before we take goodbye. What?

Ashley? What do you think? What I think this is awesome because it kind of, it kind of gets us out of the circle that we're already in because people don't like what the way the cast has been necessarily. They don't feel attached to the cast from the past two seasons. So maybe like bring like a vintage choice to it and we can start fresh again. That's right.

Hey, I think you're right. You know, if Ari was doing this for fame, he's already got it. Yeah. For whatever reason, he's been single for a while now. He's good looking. He's successful. The ladies are going to be shocked. And I'm excited to watch Ari as the next batch.

I think he's a great bit. I'm excited to see what he looks like these days. Yeah, hopefully it's still decent. And also just looks at his Instagram. He has 500, not K, just 500 followers. No. No. Are you looking at the right guy?

I think so because Instagram didn't start until about seven months after Emily season. I did not get it on Instagram until seven months. after I'm with you, then.
