This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcast with IHartRadio.
I'm Ben Higgins with my co-host.
Ashley I, or Ashley I Kennedy, but basically Ashley I, forever and always.
You know, I used to be Ben H.
Yeah, because there was Ben Z on your season.
Yeah, but I feel like you kind of make it when you can drop the first letter of your last name.
So now I'm just known as Ben, and we are on the Almost Famous podcast.
All right.
Hey, there we go.
Oh, that's cool.
Right?
Yeah, we have an ovation.
We are excited to be with you today.
You know, going throughout this whole podcast,
Ashley and I are going to touch a lot of topics.
But today, especially, we're going to talk about The Bachelorette.
Of course, because, you know,
who better to hear opinions on a Bachelor franchise show than the two of us?
We're going to talk about the weirdest moments from last night,
moments that made us cringe, especially me cringe.
I think I've said this many times, even being on The Bachelor and watching it back,
there are moments where I just want to hide my eyeballs and throw my face into a pillow like a little kid.
I have absolutely no idea what he's referring to about himself because I'm the one who watches and cringes
and there's a reason for me to cringe, but you never did anything on the show that was cringeworthy.
Some would disagree, Ashley, but we'll talk about it.
There may have been one incident.
To start things out, actually, I want to hear your thoughts.
What was the weirdest moment to you last night?
Well, I guess the
Wabom guy
That's, I like that you said that
I tone that down
Yeah, I don't know, I don't know
Like if people are listening
Really want to hear
The full exaggeration of that
I've actually had
An interaction with the Wabooam guy
And so has Jared
And I think we're going to call Jared later
And maybe you guys can discuss that in depth
But what do you want to tell right now?
I don't want to tell anything right now, actually
I think we're going to talk about that a little later
I might have to talk to Jared
about it. I'm excited to hear
kind of Jared's reaction because I have my
own personal opinion and feelings
coming off that conversation. Wait, wait.
I'm just remembering this. I
got a DM. He slid into my DMs.
Lucas, Wabom, guy. And I
didn't open it because I didn't want him to see that
I opened it. Well, let's open it now. Okay, let's do
it. No, I can't wait.
Why, Ashley's opening up her DMs, because it's going
to take a while to slide through all of the
DMs she gets in the course of the day.
I want to talk about some of my cringe
worthy moments from last night. I found it.
Oh, well, I don't then.
It's quite simple.
What up, Ashley.
Dot, dot, dot.
Loved you on Batch in BIP, fun to watch.
I'll be on this season with Rachel.
Quite the journey.
Hope all as well.
I mean, it's sweet.
That was nice.
With a thumbs up and a dancing girl emoji.
It's not a bad kind of strategy right now.
I don't know how long Lucas makes it.
After last night, I'm not going to imagine that he's going to make it too long.
And so he's trying to make all the.
connections he can before this thing kind of fades away. Yeah, I mean, it's sort of smart,
but I mean, I think with most of the big characters on the show, and it seems like he will be
one, you don't really need Bachelor, the Bachelor family to have your back right away. You just
kind of develop the name yourself. Good point. I want to hear your action, though. Are you
going to DM him back? No. Whoa. Well, I'm confused. Okay, so you had a mutual friend who
hooked you up with that phone call, right?
Yes.
Okay.
And then Jared, I think that Lucas must have just slid into Jared's DMs and he must
have messaged him back because Jared is that nice guy.
Yeah.
There is a lot to Lucas, I feel like.
And we have a, I think we can talk about Lucas for most of the podcast.
A whole podcast about Lucas.
But until then, speaking of things that kind of make you just want to hide your face
and bury it, crinsworthy moments I'm going to call him from last night.
I'm going to start with one of mine.
I wrote two down.
And to anybody listening, this is coming from a place of complete judgment, yes.
I had one moment where I didn't feel like the guys last night had a lot of game.
I feel like they came out of a limo kind of nervous, which I get.
I was very nervous.
I stuttered.
You had two girls.
Yeah, that was a lot for me.
But last night I wasn't very impressed with first interactions.
But the one I was least impressed with, the one that made me very concerned.
was a young man, I don't know his name for right now,
and maybe you do know it.
He gets out of the limo and he tells Rachel something sweet.
Rachel, I hear you like to laugh,
which is just a beautiful thing to know about somebody.
I mean, who doesn't really like to laugh, though?
That's always something I've never understood.
And people are like, I like to have fun.
It's like, oh, who doesn't like to have fun?
You're right.
Yeah, exactly.
Like, he didn't spend a lot of time researching Rachel's background
to find out that, hey, she likes to laugh.
but the part that concerned me was he had her closes her eyes
reach out her hands so she's defenseless
and he grabs her sides
tickles her and
and that's the first thing
how does somebody supposed to react like a thank you
oh my gosh that guy right there he's so sweet
he just got me laughing tickling that kind of
laughing is not like I'm not
I don't think this thing is funny I'm laughing
because I feel like I'm gonna die
And I would like to know, I would like to tell you that if I were the Bachelorette and somebody tickled me, I'd probably pee my pants slash dress because that's what happens when somebody tickles me.
And no, like, legit, I will pee.
You know, and we're finding out this guy's name because I did.
I didn't do my research well enough.
His name's Jonathan.
And I'm thinking, you know, Jonathan tried hard.
He thought over this for a long time.
And you know how it is before you get out of the limos.
Let's tell them about that.
Okay.
How did you decide what you were going to do?
You know, you're in, for many days, you're kind of in this bachelor world prepping for the first night.
And for me, you don't really know what you're getting yourself into.
You fly to Los Angeles.
I arrived to LAX.
I get in a car.
I'm then moved out to this hotel getting prepped for that first night of bachelor.
And in your mind, you're thinking, how am I going to make this best first impression?
And in my, I'm thinking about Jonathan, the young man who decided to,
to squeeze the sides of Rachel in a loving way.
At what point was he sitting in this hotel room prepping for the first night?
And he goes, I got it.
Like, I got it.
And of all the things I can do right now, I know Rachel's going to like me the best.
Because she likes laughter.
But she doesn't just like laughter.
She likes forced laughter.
She likes to be forced into laughing when I do nothing, but tickle her.
I mean, I don't know.
I mean, it's a bad idea.
But some producer was definitely like, what ideas do you have?
And then he was like, well, I love to tickle.
And then they're like, that's it.
And, you know, then he decided to tickle.
And it was all downhill from there.
What was your first, what was your initial exit out of the limit?
What did you do?
I didn't do anything.
That's what I went there.
The plan was to not do anything ridiculous.
I just wanted to say, hi, I'm Ashley.
I'm very excited.
It's you.
And it works.
I'm a little nervous.
Chris Soles.
Yeah.
So I don't know.
I just wanted to be smooth and collected.
And it was my coolest moment ever on The Bachelor.
And it was all downhill from there for me.
Really?
Yeah.
What do you mean by that?
You're around a while.
I thought you were watching it back and we don't need to go too far in this,
but you had something with Chris.
I think so.
But I just think that I was like a crying lunatic mostly.
And I had like my calm, cool, collected moment when I got out of the limo,
which is really weird because it's supposed to be the most nerve-wracking moment.
Well, where to go?
What was your cringeworthy moment from last night?
From last night?
You know, it was kind of just in general.
The attorney, the guy that was the lawyer, his name was.
Josiah.
Josiah.
Because Josiah went in so overly confident and it makes me feel awkward when people are so confident.
And you're like, oh, no, I don't think she's going to like that.
It's coming across as conceited and cocky.
not like you're just like this very professional nice man no
you thought he was too conceit and cocky and that's what made you cringe
yeah what do you think about him well I agree I think
I would say a lot of people or a lot of the men last night were conceding cocky
which is interesting because I don't think Rachel is that way I think she's
confident but I don't think Rachel portrays this cockiness or arrogance that
isn't realistic and so for these guys to get out there and kind of be I guess
peacocking themselves in front of each other.
Totally.
That's what the first night's all about with The Bachelor.
Or as time goes on,
see, Ben came from the greatest season
of The Bachelorette of all time.
His top 10 had like,
I'd pretty much almost marry everybody
in your top 10.
Oh, Ashley.
I mean, I know there's a couple
that I don't know if I could, like, handle for life.
Like, I love Nick, couldn't handle him
as my, like, live-in partner for life.
Neither could Joe Bailey.
But, like, the rest of you.
you, fantastic men.
I appreciate that.
But I do feel like last, last, last season with Jojo, it was complete peacocking.
Yeah, it's getting into that.
And that's going to be an interesting dynamic as we move forward in this season with
Rachel is when does the peacocking stop and one of these men humbled to the point
where they realize that there's a bunch of, hopefully, for Rachel's sake, great guys there
that are competing for one woman, which adds its own dynamic.
And Rachel's not there to have, you know,
who's a who's better than who contest right it's who am i going to fall in love with well i have to
like get deep here for a second i feel like you and i may have had the like the last great seasons
because it was before being on the bachelor became a real business now it's a business and now people
know they get on the show that they have easy money coming their way interesting because
instagram social media and all that stuff and like all these appearances it's totally different
than it used to be before our seasons.
And I feel like we were all really there to find love.
Because we just are, I think we were all pretty old fashioned.
But now I think you're getting a lot of people that are just there for the business and the mix.
That's interesting.
Well, I'm excited today.
One of the interesting parts about this podcast and everybody will get used to it as we go is we're going to take callers.
We're going to take call-ins and we're going to respond to questions like that.
is the bachelor or bachelorette changed because of the dynamic of income.
We're going to hear from some former bachelor peeps, one of your good friends and
often on lovers, Jared Haven and my buddy.
And we're also, I'm excited to kind of hear his thoughts on last night's best guy,
best first impression, and here if he has any thoughts different than mine on Lucas.
We can get into that a little bit.
Yeah, that'd be great.
So, uh, let's take some calls.
Hey, guys.
Let's go to Allie in Washington, D.C.
Hi, Allie.
Hey.
Hey, Ali, you're on, you're on there with us.
He just broke out.
You know what I'm saying?
Hey, Ellie, this is getting awkward for us all.
Hello?
Yeah, hey.
It's Ashley.
Hi.
Oh, my gosh.
Hey, Ali, real quick.
This is Ben.
And we're so excited to talk to your first caller ever on the almost famous podcast.
Oh my gosh
But we want to hear your question
So what's your comment, question, concern?
Let's talk a little bit
Yeah, do you look at spoilers?
I do actually
It's really bad, but I always look at them
Well, don't tell me who wins
I'm going to watch this season like a fan and not know who wins
Okay, I mean, I don't know if they're real
So who's the guy that you want to date
From this season?
From this upcoming season?
Yeah, like,
What's hotty got your eye?
Oh, I think the Mario was really cute.
Oh, he's the lawyer, right?
Yeah, and then there was him, and then Dean.
I think Dean is really cute, too.
We're thinking Dean could be a possible bachelor contestant.
I mean, a possible candidate for the Bachelor.
I definitely think he could be potential Bachelor material.
That sounds great.
Hey, Ali, we're going to have to go.
But, Ali, thank you for calling in to the office.
Almost Famous Podcast.
Thanks for you talking to me.
No problem.
Have a good one.
Bye.
You too.
Bye.
I'm Ben Higgins with my co-host, Ashley I.
This is the Almost Famous Podcast on IHeart Radio.
Hey, everybody, by the way, this is Amy, our boss.
That's what Nicole.
I don't know if she actually is or not, but she's going to be for the sick.
I absolutely am, Ben.
100%.
Don't you ever forget it.
Let's talk about Brian.
Okay.
His kissing makes me want to throw up.
Yeah, that wasn't so cute.
It just wasn't.
He really went in for it.
I don't think she wanted to kiss anyone that night.
You know, she said she didn't want to kiss anyone that night.
But then she also said that she really liked his kiss,
but it just looked far too aggressive for a first kiss for me.
Way too much tongue.
His mouth was wide open.
Yeah, no, I agree.
There's something about that first night.
And coming from the perspective of the bachelor or bachelor,
I would say that first night is a whirlwind.
And there's a lot of people you're meeting.
And there's a lot of conversations you're having.
And kissing somebody isn't appropriate for that,
for that night. You've known them for 10 minutes because you imagine if you were on a regular date, let alone like in this environment, there's 25 people and you've done them for 10 minutes. But if somebody, if some guy kissed me 10 minutes into a regular date, I would freak out. Really? Yes. Rachel seemed to like it. She did. You would freak out too. I wouldn't like it. You know, and what people don't see from from the viewing perspective is a lot of times you're talking to one of these people.
that you just met in front of other people.
They're contestants for cast, their contestants, sitting around watching you, talk to this person.
So for you to start sucking face in front of them is not only disrupt, but it's just awkward.
Well, in Brian's defense, he did take her to a very private area by the front door.
Good point.
He's a sweetheart.
The producers are like, this is too early for anyone else to see.
You're going to take her right over here.
Yeah.
You know, but she did like it.
I think, you know, good for him.
He made the leap, but let's talk about something after he made the leap.
When he's in the moment with Rachel, I can't help, but, you know, my mom was always a great critic of my kissing abilities.
During The Bachelor.
Yeah.
Well, you know, I feel bad for my mother and grandmother for that.
This is a great topic because I have a lot to say about it, too.
Yeah.
So just real short here, let me tell you my background here.
So as the bachelor, you're obviously dating multiple people at once.
It's not a secret.
You're also kissing multiple people during an episode.
So my grandmother and mother both watch a show.
So they saw close up how I would kiss somebody.
Yeah, you're really good.
Thanks, actually.
I think from TV.
Yeah.
Oh, God, let's clarify.
Let's clarify that, actually.
Thank you.
So, you know, as you watch this on TV, there's not only sound effects, there's also close-ups.
And the judgment comes in hot.
Which in turn, translated to me watching Brian last night, kissing Rachel.
And there was this like a lot of like very intense, what I want to say, like, sucking or like he would pull her face very close to his and then like kind of push it away with his lips.
There was so much movement.
Movement. And I want to hear your thoughts.
But my only comment is Brian has very interestingly strong lips, it looks like.
Yeah. There's a lot of force there.
It was like a suction cup.
Yeah.
And there was definitely tongue in there, too.
And that's just so much for 10 minutes of knowing someone.
But I have to talk about, like, kissing on TV, too.
Because I looked like the worst kisser ever when I was kissing Crissols.
Just completely not, I guess we weren't very compatible.
I think, like, my mouth maybe is too big for his.
This was always my, this is my theory.
This is how I excused the sloppy kissing on that season.
But then I really turned it around with Jared and was look pretty good.
Speaking of Jared?
Can we get Jared on the line?
Yeah, let's call him.
Let's call Jared right now.
I need to ask Jared about this.
Should we talk about that?
Oh, it's so embarrassing.
Ashley, for a second, I just, I'm going to talk to Jared.
I need you to sit back like you're not even here.
So I can kind of hear his thoughts on exactly what this kiss was like.
Oh, my God.
Jared, you there, buddy?
I'm here.
Oh, my gosh.
Hi, that was so seamless.
I know. It's pretty easy. Ben, it's good to hear your voice.
Jared, I could not be happy to hear your voice.
It's been a while to be talked. I tried to call you earlier to prep you for this.
But everybody, we have Jared Haben here, who was on Caitlin's season of The Bachelorette, which I participated in,
and then has moved on from there to do great things in his life, including go on Bachelor in Paradise.
and, for lack of a better term, possibly fall in love with Ashley I?
Possibly what?
What season were you watching?
Jared, we were just talking about making out on camera.
And I want to hear your thoughts about right ways to do it, wrong ways to do it,
and then what was it like to kiss Ashley on camera?
God, putting me on the spot already.
I should have answered that phone call earlier.
No, man, I mean, we've all kissed on camera, right?
I don't think there is a right or wrong way to do it.
Just try not to suck because millions of people are watching you.
I'm going to judge every move you make.
It's weird when you start kissing someone because then you can almost feel the camera man
start zooming in, walking towards you.
Breathing down your neck.
Breathing down your neck.
Pretty intense.
And then, yeah, Ashley's a really good kisser.
It was great kissing her on camera.
I was a very lucky man.
You are.
Now, I just want to clarify here for anybody listening.
Jared and Ashley are not together.
I know that's always a rumor that pops up.
They're very good friends.
And it's great to get this perspective from two people now that consider themselves friends.
So they can talk about this issue that we saw last night with Brian.
And Jared, just to fill you in, we've been talking about Brian, who last night on the Bachelorette, aggressively kissed Rachel within the first 10 minutes of meeting her.
And she enjoyed it.
Also, some people sitting in the room with us right now felt like they enjoyed watching it and wish they could.
could have been, Rachel.
What's your thoughts on somebody getting out of a limo, boy or girl, walking up to the
Bachelor or Bachelorette, and after 10 minutes, you know, lay one on them?
I mean, as we don't know, this world that we go into, it moves really quickly and rapidly.
So any opportunity you get to kiss someone or kind of, if you think that moment is there,
then you really need to take advantage of it.
Because if you don't take advantage of that moment, somebody else will.
Jared's so politically correct, because there's no way that he's.
he'd ever do this.
Oh, that's completely false.
I would totally do it if I felt the moment it was right.
I mean, look, and looking back, I think we all were kind of stunned when we first
walked into the Bachelor world.
We're just, it's like a culture shock.
So I think we kind of kind of just try to take things in slowly and relax.
And I think my mindset when I was first on the Bachelorette, I wouldn't have done it,
but my mindset now kind of seeing the process from an outside view, I would do it now.
Yeah, and that's a good point to bring up.
I've been friends with Jared, you know, since The Bachelorette,
and I've seen his growth as a person.
He's seen my growth as a person.
I have a ton of respect for Jared.
I have a lot of respect to you, too, then.
Oh, well, we can keep going back and forth here.
That'd be really fun.
I'm not even here.
Jared's like, I would never do that.
Completely incorrect.
I'm like, well, actually, you just admitted you wouldn't have done it on your season.
My first season, no, but it doesn't like the person I am now.
Yeah, he's way more confident now.
He is a confident, man.
And, and Jared, speaking of confidence,
You and I both have had an interaction with a man named Lucas.
This, maybe the most compelling character from last night's bachelorette is the
Woboom or Wabam.
What is it?
It's Wabom.
Yeah, it's that guy.
His name is Lucas.
He reached out to me about a month ago to talk about what exactly he was getting himself
into.
And at that point, it's a little late.
The show had already been.
his lot in life had already been chosen
but I know he did the same to you
so can you just tell us a little bit
about that conversation
yeah I mean
Lucas reached out to me and
told me that he talked to my good friend Ben
and then Ben told him to get out
DM me so I appreciate that Ben
wait is that really how it went down
it might be
you passed him off
yeah Jared but
the only reason I did that I want to clarify
for everybody out there.
I know why he did.
I'm busting your fault.
The only reason I pushed him off to you was because I had things to do.
And secondly, the second person that I respect the most in this world is Jared.
So, Jared.
Thanks, man.
But he's, uh, he was cool.
I mean, listen, he just reached out.
I got a lot of questions about the show.
And he said he was, like, a little nervous about it and was wondering some things about
what it's like watching the show back and post back for life and things of that nature.
Jared, did you feel like talking to him?
There was a sense to Lucas that you were going to get something very interesting from him watching the show back.
Like he was going to be a character?
Yeah, I definitely, well, honestly, I thought one of the two things.
I thought either he's going to be a character and he's going to be this kind of crazy person on the show or like very outgoing.
Well, you know, or honestly, I thought he was going to be a nobody.
Eliminated Night 1.
We can all say that he's definitely not a nobody.
The world now knows Lucas.
We know him for who he is.
Lucas will be in our minds and hearts for a long time.
Jared, I had a similar reaction with Lucas.
It was a very, it was a conversation I walked out of going,
this guy is going to be something.
I just don't know what yet.
And now I know after watching last night's episode,
but the Lucas I was talking to on the phone is the Wabooam guy that I will never forget.
Jared, buddy, we both love you.
Thank you for calling into the show.
I cannot wait to talk to you
many times throughout this podcast
Yes
Yeah absolutely guys
And I'm really happy for you both
And it's good to hear both your voices
And I'll talk to you guys too
Hey thanks Jared
Okay bye
Thanks having me on bye
You know Jared adds an interesting
perspective for the both of us right
So Jared's a friend of mine
You have dated him
More or less
Yeah more or less
You're still friends
I trust Jared's opinion
And I think throughout this podcast
It's going to be interesting to hear from him
Because he can also
you know be very honest with you
and then
he also makes me feel better. I wish you guys could see my face
right now because my face says way more than my words
could say. She's might
still have a thing for Jared. No, I know
I'm saying that
like Jared is so politically correct but he
wishes he weren't like he wants to be
brutally honest but then like he's too good
he's just like has a great soul.
Yeah he's a good soul and that's not a bad thing.
No he sees the best in everyone. Let's see
if Megan from Florida has a good soul
Megan
Hi
Megan, this has
Ben and Ashley
on the
Almost Famous
Podcast
Megan, how are you
doing today?
I'm so good
you guys are my two
favorites on
Doctor Nation
and I'm literally
dying right now
I can't even
handle it
No, we are not
You're so sweet
Thank you
We can't have you
dying on us
Megan
we need to talk to you
about the Bachelor
at last night
There's a few
from Florida
from Miami I think
I can't remember
their names
And then there was
a lawyer
I think that would
be really
matched great with her
So would
you, that's your pick for Rachel, right?
Mm-hmm, yeah.
What guys did you think were the hottest?
Who are you looking out for?
Josiah.
Josiah, the name that you're looking at, Megan?
Yeah, I'm so bad with names.
I just know, like, faces and stuff.
I can't.
I'm so bad with names.
It's terrible.
I don't know how you guys, like,
memorize everybody's names because I just can't do it.
I don't know.
Actually, that brings us to a great question.
Ben, how many girls' names did you actually know that first night?
And how many did you have to ask the producers,
what's her name before giving her the rose?
Yeah, definitely. Megan and Ashley, this is a topic I get asked about all the time. And I do want to be honest with you about this. The show would love for you to forget the names, right? Because it's great TV if, you know, as The Bachelor, I'm standing up there and I say, I don't know your name. I'm sorry, but I like what you represent. And please come down and figure out.
So what I did in my mind, I would make relational, like, relational memories between the name and what they were wearing or what they had told me.
So, you know, if somebody said, hey, you know, I like, I think one of the young ladies had bread and her name was Brianna or something.
Oh, that's easy.
So it's easy.
Like, that was my thing.
So as I'm standing up there offering her a rose, I'm thinking of bread.
Well, I like both of them.
I like that.
Yeah, so that was how I memorized names.
But no, there is no assistance, right?
So you can't...
There's no assistance.
You've got to be lying.
Then why do you leave every three roses and go back to the secret room?
Or at least that's what Chris Solz did.
Well, I don't know why Chris...
That would be so nerve-wracking to just wait there after every three.
I can't imagine.
Well...
Oh, my God.
It's the most nerve-wracking thing ever.
But the first night, I had my rose in the...
I was the first three.
Oh, wow.
Megan, you're right.
It's not only nerve-wracking.
for the contestants, but it's also nerve-wracking for the Bachelor, Bachelorette, especially on
night one, right? So that's the thing that gets forgotten is, like, Rachel has never been
the Bachelorette before. This is new to her. She's nervous. I was nervous. And so you do, you get
a little bit overwhelmed. Everything is kind of swarming around you. I think Rachel said it
best last night when she's like, there's a guy here, there's a guy here, there's a guy here,
everywhere I turn, there's a guy guy guy. I felt the same way just with girls. And there was a girl
every place I turned and over time
the whole night starts to kind of just
fly away and you're standing in front of all of them
and the only thing you can possibly do is try to remember their names
so you did yeah I did I did remember their names
and that is something I'm proud of
and that is one of the very many reasons that Ben is our best bachelor
yeah I agree 100% best one we've ever had
he's so cute no one can be Ben like
you guys are really sweet Megan
thank you for calling into our podcast. We really appreciate it. I hope you call back again.
Yeah, Megan, you're a great guest. Yeah, you're awesome. Thank you. Bye. I'm Ben Higgins with my co-host.
Ashley I. And this is the Almost Famous podcast. We have Rhonda from San Diego on the line.
Hey, Rhonda. Hi, how are you? Hey, good. How are you?
Well, thanks for being our third caller ever on the Ben and Ashley podcast. So we're talking about the Bachelorette episode.
Do you have any questions for us as far as the Bachelor goes, you know, about like anything that you want inside Scoop on?
Yeah, like what is the most nerve-wracking part of the first episode meeting everyone?
For me personally, it was probably waiting in the hotel room, waiting to get into the limo and then meet Crystal's.
It was just that waiting, waiting, waiting, and I was all by myself.
I had no one to, you know, talk to about all my nerves.
Ben, what about you?
There's a lot of nerve-wracking experiences, especially on The Bachelor when you have never
been there before, right?
So for me, I was getting out of the limo, meeting two women who had seen on TV.
That's just an odd experience in itself.
But being The Bachelor, obviously, the whole thing's nerve-wracking.
I felt a tremendous amount of pressure and weight through the whole experience.
And so I remember waking up most mornings and just praying that,
I get through the day without really, really messing up, which happened, I'd say, 80% of the days.
No, one.
Oh, no one could tell.
Thank you, Rhonda.
Rhonda, I have a question for you.
Are you a Brian Adams fan?
Who is it?
Okay.
Great question.
That is great.
Ben and I went to a Brian Adams concert the other night at the Greek theater.
Everybody thought we were dating.
Yeah.
But we're not.
We are just friends and we're there with a group of friends.
And it was a great experience because I never even thought to see Brian Adams in concert,
but he was killer.
He rocked out.
Yeah, Rhonda, we wanted to clarify with you because we knew you were concerned about if we were dating or not.
So we just want to make sure that you knew that we're not.
Rhonda, thank you for calling into our show.
Yeah, thank you guys.
Appreciate it.
Have a great day in San Diego.
Thank you.
All right. So I found Ben Higgins one flaw this weekend when we were at a Brian Adams concert.
You know, talk to anyone in this Bachelor family. We all talk about Ben is just the most perfect guy.
And then I heard him sing. And I thought, there it is. That's the one problem.
Not that that's a real problem. But Ben, show off your voice. You know, maybe people will disagree with me.
Everything I do
I do it for you
Yeah actually
You have an
You've been influenced by boy bands
I hear a little Nicolethe in there
Do you?
Yeah
Wow
Well let me send you a little bit more then
Baby you're all that I want
It's actually not that bad
When you're lying here in my arms
I find it so hard to believe this in heaven.
All right.
Well, I apologize to Nick Lechay.
Nick, my dad always said to find a man like you.
Hey, everybody.
We'll be singing to you for many, many more weeks to come.
This was Ben.
And this is Ashley.
