I'm Amanda Knox, and in the new podcast, Doubt the case of Lucy Letby, we unpack the story of an unimaginable tragedy that gripped the UK in 2023.
But what if we didn't get the whole story?
Evidence has been made to fit.
The moment you look at the whole picture, the case collapsed.
What if the truth was disguised?
by a story we chose to believe.
Oh my God, I think she might be innocent.

This is the Ben and Ashley I, Almost Famous Podcasts with IHartRadio.
It's the Almost Famous Podcast.
Today we're breaking down all the headlines, and we're going to end this episode with an incredible announcement about and from the Almost Famous podcast.
So stay tuned to the very end when we celebrate something absolutely spectacular.
Today I have producer Heather with me breaking down the headlines.
Here's I always call Ashley our expert.
But behind the scenes, there is an expert on top of an expert that wasn't meant to sound weird.
You give me too much credit.
I don't, where is this going?
I don't know.
But it sounds like a compliment.
Heather is here with us to talk about everything that she's put in this rundown and
everything she's researched.
And it's going to be incredible.
We're going to do it the same way as we always do.
Heather, we're going to start out with this one.
Joey G.
chose this Bachelor nation star to be his best man ahead of wedding.
So Joey and Kelsey's wedding, I feel like we've been talking about it for months.
Every single week, it's they're working on their first dance or they've set the date.
But yes, now he has chosen his best man.
the former bachelor revealed that he has chosen his best man, Tanner Cortad.
The pair both were on The Bachelorette and since have remained friends.
He shared a video of himself offering Tanner the special wedding role on Tuesday.
And in the clip, Tanner has a drink, but upon further inspection,
he notices that the cup was engraved with a very important question,
which was, will you be my best man?
That's very sweet. When you and Jess got married, did you do this whole thing with like asking in a special way? Or did you just literally be like, hey man, let me be my best man?
I don't remember.
Sounds like Ben, you did not give him an engraved cup.
You know, my best man was my dad.
Wait, Ben, that's so sweet.
It was the best. I mean, he is my best man. And so it was awesome. And it was really fun having him as my best man. He was useless in planning anything.
because he didn't come to the bachelor party because he was sick at the time,
but also I don't know if I'd want him planning my bachelor party.
But he was so thankful and it was cool.
He obviously was my best man, so he walked down the aisle with me.
And then when the ceremony started, he sat down next to my mom
because I wanted the visual of having the two of them sitting together in the audience,
like up close when I was getting married.
So enough about me.
I love this.
And I obviously get to hang out with Joey quite a bit.
I know his close friendship with Tanner.
They are so tight and so close.
Heather, we need to celebrate, I think,
that this is a Bachelor Nation connection.
They met each other through the show.
And now he's his best man.
That's a big deal.
That is huge.
And I feel like it's just another success story in the recent years, right?
Obviously, we spend a lot of time with Katie and Zach.
and, you know, charity and Doughton are still engaged,
but heading in that direction.
So I think this is, you know, great.
It shows that the show works.
It shows that works for so many reasons.
Speaking of the show not working, though,
Rachel Lindsay, we're still talking about this.
And Heather, I'll be honest.
I, especially as I get older,
I don't like to celebrate or becoming intrigued by other people's pains.
However, for the sake of this show, we do it often.
And this is one that I have been intrigued by really since the announcement,
because not that I'm really emotionally attached to either of them,
but it's been so messy.
And it's so public.
And it's been so out there that I'm like,
what is actually happening?
And where does this spit itself out?
Well, the headline reads this way.
Rachel Lindsay calls out ex-Briyan over fertility claims during divorce.
I had no clue he made these claims.
This is news to me.
I mean, I've taken Rachel's side in most of this so far.
And I have a feeling if he's diving into that topic,
I'll still, I'll be taking her side on this too.
But tell me why.
I will also say that this, I think, is equally surprising that we're still talking about it,
but also that Rachel is talking about it so public.
So she went on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast this week and was opening up about her situation.
Now that everything is final, final when it comes to the divorce, she said he talked about fertility and it wasn't even the truth of what he was saying.
Other than saying, I wanted to have kids, I never talked about that.
And so to kind of like rewind back during Brian's 2024 interview, he shared that part of his and Rachel's issues in their marriage stem from fertility problems.
He said, I wanted kids like anybody else, but other things were made a priority, which put a lot of pressure on the both of us.
And then he went on to say, women have a different biological clock than us.
It was going to be me going along with the plan, but I was under a hell of a lot of stress.
That was tough.
That was so hard, it felt terrible.
Just watching her sadness, it broke my heart.
It was like I was failing expectations on all fronts.
Woof.
I got to say that that is extremely personal, I think, to share on the behalf of
your former partner that you wanted kids and it was going to be difficult.
I mean, if I'm reading between the lines that they were going to have to find alternative
ways to have a baby and he wasn't interested in that.
There are topics.
And goodness, I don't know.
I haven't been through a divorce.
And I know divorces can get ugly.
And obviously, you're saying goodbye to somebody.
So it's painful.
there are topics I feel like should just be off limits.
I agree.
And this is one of them.
It is a very emotional experience.
It's a very stressful experience.
I don't know how much of the man is stressing here.
I mean, let's be honest.
The women carry the load and the weight when it comes to that experience.
The men have a very like simple job.
Point and shoot.
but I don't think it should be talked about publicly.
I don't.
And especially when you have,
maybe outside of everything else,
here's my point.
When you're in a public relationship,
it should 100% not be talked about publicly.
When Lauren and I broke up from the show,
there was like a maybe even unspoken agreement of,
hey,
let's not push this thing too far publicly
because it just gets out there,
it gets worse,
and it gets harder for both of us.
I think that's how most Bachelor Nation couples have broken up is like maybe a social media post and it's gone forever.
I think that's the respectful way to do it when you have a public relationship.
I agree.
But I will say that I commend Rachel for trying to clear up some of these maybe misconceptions that are out there about her.
It's her body that's being spoken about.
And I think she has every right to share her side of that situation.
Definitely.
I just wish you would have done it here on the almost famous podcast.
But what are you going to do?
Of course.
But we love everybody at the Bachelor Happy Hour.

Hi, this is Joe Winterstein, host of the Spirit Daughter podcast, where we talk about astrology,

And I just sat down with a mini driver.
The Irish traveler said when I was 16, you're going to have a terrible time with men.
Actor, storyteller.
and unapologetic Aquarian visionary.
Aquarius is all about freedom-loving and different perspectives,
and I find a lot of people with strong placements in Aquarius
are misunderstood.
A son and Venus and Aquarius in her seventh house

He really has taught me to embrace people sleeping in different rooms,
on different houses and different places,
but just an embracing of the isness of it all.

In 2023, a story gripped the UK,
evoking horror and disbelief.
The nurse who should have been in charge of caring
for tiny babies is now the most prolific.
child killer in modern British history.
Everyone thought they knew how it ended.
A verdict, a villain, a nurse named Lucy Lettby.
Lucy Letby has been found guilty.
But what if we didn't get the whole story?
The moment you look at the whole picture, the case collapses.
I'm Amanda Knox, and in the new podcast, doubt the case of Lucy Lettby,
we follow the evidence and hear from the people that lived it.
To ask what really happened when the world decided who Lucy Leapy,
Lettby was.
No voicing of any skepticism or doubt.
It'll cause so much harm at every single level of the British establishment of this is wrong.

Bachelor's Maddie Pruitt explains how she remained pure while dating husband Grant Trout.
I feel like it's another day.
It's another Maddie Pruitt headline.
but this definitely caught my attention.
You know, Maddie has been pretty open about the temptation that she has faced throughout
different points in her life.
But she shared, Grant and I made the rule, we're not allowed to lay on the couch.
It even got to the point where it was like, I don't even think we can be alone past 9 p.m.
She said when she was on Candice Cameron's podcast this week, you just have to put
the boundaries in place knowing your temptation triggers and the things that would typically
cause you to fall into that sin. Here's my question, Heather. Why is this a headline, though?
It's been out there all week. I've seen it pop up on random news sources. Why is this shocking?
I think that people talk about remaining virgins.
until marriage.
And I think that that's a widely accepted kind of topic that's not really headline making.
But acknowledging avoiding temptations and going into detail, I think is something that we actually
don't hear from a lot of people.
I think we do hear about it a lot from Maddie.
But I think on the norm, people don't really tend to open up about those.
And I will go one step further and say, I don't think a lot of women openly talk about
sexual temptations and things like that.
And that's probably why it grabs a lot of attention.
Yeah.
I mean, because it is, there is like a communication style or a vulnerability that Maddie
communicates that I think people are shocked by enough to where it becomes a headline.
But in like my life, this would not be a headline.
It'd be like, hey, that is, you know, a thousand other people that I know's experience.
Yeah.
But you're right.
I do think the details are, you don't hear the details.
You don't hear the choices being made.
I don't know if you've ever heard this, but I used to go to like a Christian like summer camp.
And there would always be like flings and interest in somebody.
And the rule was you have to leave enough room for Jesus.
And so that would always be the rule.
I definitely heard that before.
Okay. I heard that.
Yeah.
Well, and tell me this.
I feel like, because we talked about this when we were covering the Netflix show Perfect Match,
but I feel like, right, we're also on this opposite end of the spectrum now in terms of the media
that we're all consuming widely where we're going really, really raunchy with a lot of the
content out there that is geared towards a younger audience.
So I think when we hear something that's completely on the other side, that feels abnormal right now
in the times. And I think that's why it grabs attention. Yeah, that actually makes sense.
So many people are consuming things where it's so far on the other end that when they hear
something like this and it makes them take 10 steps back and go, oh, wow, that's still happening,
which it is. It is still happening. That's not like, that's what I'm saying. I'm not shocked by
this. But I think it is uncommon for us to consume in our daily lives information that would relate
more to this than it would, you know, you open up your social media and there's something like
on the farther end. So I get that. That makes sense. And Maddie shared this on the Candace Cameron
podcast and not her own, which is still going on. Actually, I think my episode just aired. You should
go listen to it, Heather. Your episode on Maddie's podcast. Yeah, the Stay True podcast. Yes, yes. And Jess was on
as well, right? Was it same episode or different episode? Same episode. That wasn't expected.
but it happened and it was great.
I don't get to sit down and get interviewed with my wife very often.
I was nervous.
I was like, what's she going to say?
She looked very confident and comfortable in the clip that I saw.
She is confident and comfortable.
She's my better half for sure.
Bachelor in Paradise stars Alana and Chris Conrad expecting first baby together.
Now, people will hear these names Alana and Chris and be like, who?
I know that's going to be the out.
They are a success story from this show that do not get talked about enough.
Yeah.
If people will go back in the database of their brain, they're actually from season seven of the show.
And they announced this week that they're having their first baby, a daughter, with photos that were super, super cute.
The soon-to-be parents shared the exciting news and expressed how really, really happy they are for their little one on the way.
And they also shared openly that this is their rainbow baby.
So this means that they have experienced a loss in pregnancy before this.
So that makes this even more beautiful and exciting for them great news to share.
It warms my heart when I hear somebody is expecting a baby these days.
It feels a lot different than it did a year and a half ago.
That's because you're a softie now.
I'm a softie.
I, yeah, goodness gracious.
Good for them.
Congratulations.
And again, another representation because goodness gracious, the show gets hated on and I understand why.
But there are success stories out there from the show, not only friendships, but love and love in all ways.
It's a great thing.
And sometimes it works.
That's cool.
Speaking of it not working.
Tyler Cameron says he's in custody battle between Rachel and Matt James.
He said this on.
chicks in the office. Yeah, I don't know if you saw this. Obviously, Tyler is out there right now
doing a lot of press for the HGTV show. And we've seen this. I think we've maybe reported it
on previous episodes of him hanging out with Rachel, posting pictures and things like that.
And so, you know, he said, me and Rachel are great. We're good friends. There's a custody battle
happening right now. I get like every other weekend with Matt. So just really making light of the fact
that, you know, he has been able to maintain a friendship not only with the guy that was,
we all know, was his roommate and his buddy, but also that ex-girlfriend of his,
because obviously being the best friend, he spent a lot of time with them.
But it begs me to ask you the question of if you've ever been able to maintain a friendship
with both parties after a split, because I'll be 100% honest, the answer is no for me.
I've tried.
I've tried hard.
No, I haven't.
In fact, I'm kind of in it right now.
Trying my best.
But no, I'm not going to be successful at it.
I won't go into the details,
but I actually had to have a full-on breakup meeting in person with my friend's ex
because he was making the rounds trying to keep the friendships.
And I just was very straightforward with that.
He was my friend because of her.
and he was not in my life previously.
And unfortunately, he wasn't going to be in my life after.
But I wished him all the best.
That's a very adult conversation you had, Heather.
It had to be done.
And you know what?
My whole thing is like I moved through life the way that I would want to be treated.
And if the shoe were on the other foot, wouldn't make me happy.
My friend's hanging out with my ex.
No.
I mean, I felt that, right?
Yeah.
And in this world, it's hard.
I think in the bachelor world, it's hard because they're at a lot of events.
For sure.
There's obviously cross-pollination and friend groups.
When you're not invited to something and they are or they're invited to something,
or they're not invited and you are,
it does like breed this like jealous,
it looks at it with me,
but I feel like I deal with that often.
It's a hard one to navigate.
For sure.
Well, we're props to Tyler then that he's able to do it.
Now, I am friends with my ex's husband,
if that makes any cooler.
I did see that if anybody hasn't seen.
He was on your first episode of your other podcast.
Everybody should go check that out for sure.
Yeah, if you can hear me with Chris Lane.
It's great.

Final headline.
Hannah Godwin joins Squig Game,
the VIP Challenge on Netflix.
The quote is, I've been up to something.
So first of all, Ben, did you see Squid Games
when it first hit the...
Yes.
Okay.
It kind of like wrecked me a little bit.
It was a lot.
I didn't finish season one, but I got the gist of it.
But obviously like any other successful show, we've already seen Squid Games make the real-life version where real people competed.
And now they're coming out with a celebrity version.
So it was announced this week.
Hannah said, I've been up to something.
Thrill do announce that I am joining Squid Game, the VIP Challenge coming soon.
Netflix. The other great celebrities that will be joining her are Spice Girl star Mel B,
the Traders alum Dylan Ephron, very exciting, NBA star Tristan Thompson, and Real Housewives
of Atlanta alum Kim Zulsiak Bierman. Other, you know, people that are going to be on it as well,
our content creator, Christy Sarah, owning Manhattan's Ryan Surhan. Amazing. And the Challenge alum
Oh, excuse me.
And Squid Game the Challenge alum, Viper.
So that's a really kind of exciting cast.
It's obviously much smaller than the real-life version that they did with people.
So I'm interested to see how this is going to kind of be formatted
and see obviously how Hannah does.
I'm intrigued.
Hannah has always been very funny and quick-witted.
So it will be fun to see her on our televisions again.
I love her socials.
Do you ever watch like just...
They're so good.
The stuff she went through like a slime phase.
I don't know why I was really invested.
She was just buying slime on the internet and like playing with it.
It was Hannah.
I don't know why you were doing that, but it was fun to watch.
Oh, I appreciate that.
That's so good.
Hey, Heather, thank you for joining us.
We're going to bring Ashley in to talk about our big announcement.
the almost famous podcast, which has had the two same hosts since the beginning,
has traveled throughout the United States together,
has shared so many memories, seen each other grow up,
been on television shows together,
talked about everything that's happened in Bachelor Nation good and bad,
and somehow still made it through without getting canceled,
has officially hit over 100 million downloads, Ashley.
What are your thoughts?
Congratulations to us.
That's pretty cool.
That is a big, huge number.
We're grateful to all of you out there who have listened to so many of those episodes.
Like, wow, guys, 100,000 times people have listened to us talk about this show.
100,000 times.
A hundred million, a hundred million times.
A hundred million times.
I think it's the same thing, but I was a little confused for a second how you said it.
A hundred million times.
It's absolutely the craziest thing in the entire world.
So thank you.
Thank you.
It's all because of you guys.
A hundred thousand would actually be one million.
So I was wrong there in my statement.
I just want to clarify it.
Yeah.
I was like, wait a second.
No.
A hundred million.
A hundred million times, Ashley.
That is incredible.
How many people do you think are?
in the United States of America.
I think there is like 300 million.
There is 342 million people in the United States of America.
One third of that have listened to our podcast.
Well, if you like to think like that, sure.
Everybody in America has tuned in one.
I mean, one third of America is tuned in once.
Yeah.
It is so special.
I say it often.
I'll say it again.
It has been nothing but a joy.
It's weird to think we've been doing this for
so long, and that also so many of you have consistently listened to us as we have grown up and
as we have adjusted in our lives and as we have appeared on new television shows and had new
things to talk about and talked about other people and their relationships, it's been a joy.
And Ashley, I think it goes understated that you have been a co-host of mine for that, like,
length of time. I mean, I knew you before I knew my wife.
Yeah, we truly did grow up together, as you said. Yeah. I mean, I have clips on my phone of you crying,
wondering, like, where Jared was at in the world. Yes. Oh, my gosh, those times where I'd be like,
it seems, what is he doing out right now? Like, he's out with his friends. Does that mean there's a
girl around? Yeah. It's, uh, it's been awesome. Ashley.
I could never have pictured a better co-host, a better person to share this with.
But honestly, I think we both sit here in this $100 million.
It's kind of hard to conceptualize and say, thank you to listeners.
And the reason people say that is like, thank you to my fans,
is because this doesn't exist without people listening.
So the fact that people are listening, 100 million downloads have happened,
is the reason that we're still able to do this today and that we're still able to have fun with it today.
So thank you to all of you who've been with us since the beginning, who have shared that when you see us out in public, that hey, you're a listener of the almost famous podcast.
It means more than you can imagine.
And I cannot wait for the day we hit 200 million downloads.
I'm hoping it's next year.
I'm hoping this thing kind of picks up steam as Taylor Frankie Paul becomes our bachelor at.
That and maybe my housewives thing will give us a little jump.
But Ben, right back at you.
I need to do something to help out.
What have I done?
You got to get on traitors or special forces or something.
Yeah.
We need you on one of those two shows.
You know, yeah, I need to figure that side season.
Should we do traders together?
Oh.
It's just, I'm manifesting.
Dangerous.
Because, like, I have the crossover, right?
So I have my crosswives and Bachelor.
So I bet I have two quotas there.
Can you imagine how dangerous we would be?
We would form this alliance that, like, would be, like, we could.
could like speak to each other but unspokenly like we can we can talk to each other through our
eyes yeah and you'd be like oh i know exactly what he's thinking we would have to both be the same
thing you could probably lie to me a little bit because i'm pretty like i could fall for stuff like
stuff like that as you know but um i i would want to as we know can't lie at all or exaggerate at all
so let's put it out in the world i put i'm putting it out right now congratulations again to uh the almost
famous podcast team there are people behind the scenes that you've never heard
heard from never knew that have helped keep this thing going thank you to i heart for giving us the
platform to do it on and thank you to you ashley uh for sticking by our side through thick and thin
and here soon here's my concern you're going to go on real housewives you're going to become a mega star
i'm going to start getting really nervous to jump on here with you and you're going to say hey like
this just doesn't fit into my life anymore yeah i don't think that's going to happen if anything i just
hope that Housewives continues to let me live the life that I've been living for the past
11 years a little bit longer. And that includes being with you here multiple times a week.

Oh my God, I think she might be innocent.
