Every case that is a cold case that has DNA.
Right now in a backlog will be identified in our lifetime.
On the new podcast, America's Crime Lab, every case has a story to tell.
And the DNA holds the truth.
He never thought he was going to get caught.
And I just looked at my computer screen.
I was just like, ah, gotcha.
This technology is already solving so many cases.

This is the Ben and Ashley I, Almost Famous Podcasts with IHeartRadio.
It's Almost Famous Podcasts. We are here. Yes, this has been the week of headlines.
It feels like every week is the week of headlines. Ashley, we've got some, well, big ones coming
out of paradise. Yes, we did it a whole couple podcasts with Zachary Reality talking about
those breakups. So if you want more on those, make sure to listen to those episodes. Right now,
we're going to go over our general bachelor headlines. Ben, what's our first one? Well, this week
was a big week for Jason Tartick. And the reason I say that is because he did a very emotional
podcast with Chris Harrison. They kind of did a podcast swap, Ashley, where Chris came on to
Jason's, and then Jason's came on to Chris's. And it was a very... He made a whole weekend of it, right?
It was. Yeah.
But, and you know what?
Here is the thing.
I was watching this play out on social media.
And I saw that they were together.
And I saw, then they started to announce that they're going to do some podcasts together.
And I was like, gosh, dang it.
Chris is going to get the best podcast with Jason because Chris just is so good in these moments.
He's walked how many people through breakups and difficulties.
I was like, this is going to be an incredible podcast.
And it was.
And here's the headline.
Jason Tardick has cried more over Caitlin Bristow split.
than he has in his entire life.
Okay.
I want to listen to it for real,
but these are the quotes.
These are the juicy quotes from it.
Caitlin meant so much to me and still currently does,
and I get so worried,
and then dot, dot, dot, I want to preface this.
I get so worried about the repercussions of what I say
and I care still so much for her,
and it's really, really hard for me to have these conversations.
So I'm going to do my best.
he breaks out in tears throughout the podcast and you never want to indulge in somebody's pain
but like I am kind of eager to hear about you know the vulnerability yeah he put it out there
so it's I think it's fair for us to be like I want to listen to it because it was vulnerable
and because he was genuine yeah okay he says um you haven't even asked a question yet and
am already crying. It was a tough time to go back to. It's tough. I'm bad at this. I've worked on
it. I've always have had somebody, I've always been somebody who hates showing my emotions.
I hate it, hate it, hate it, hate it. Okay. So then he just says like that the breakup wasn't a
shock to either of them. He still didn't want to believe that the four-year relationship was coming
to an end when it was over the summer. And he admitted that he's cried,
more in the past six months that he has in his entire life,
but he feels good about letting up those pent-up emotions.
And then Chris said,
you don't want to belittle someone who's lost a significant other.
You don't want to compare it.
But a big breakup, a divorce, it's a loss.
They didn't die.
You're going to see them.
But, you know, still not in your life.
It's a very vulnerable show.
I mean, tune in if you're, you know, wanting Jason's explanation.
You can just tell he has a lot of care for Caitlin.
I mean, I think if Caitlin listens to this show, she's going to know that Jason just cares about her.
He doesn't know exactly even how to process things yet.
I mean, it's been a couple months, and he's still very emotional over this breakup,
which, again, goes back to our theory, Ashley, when they did break up, that, you know,
they still had a lot of love and respect for each other.
that this wasn't something that either of them were doing out of like um anger it was just that it wasn't
working yeah and like we saw it firsthand like they're getting along plenty good well they're getting
along just fine uh next headline is this bachelor in paradise is Olivia Lewis the nice
trolling kit the nice trolling cat iso and john Henry Spurlock's breakup now a little backstory to this
as we bring Ashley in uh this was all through social media right
Mm-hmm. Yeah. So I touched on this during our interview with Tanner. What happened is the day that Kat announced her breakup with John Henry, Olivia also shared a TikTok, seemingly totally unrelated, to the pussycat dolls, don't you? You know, don't you wish your girlfriend was hot like me?
Olivia
Cat seemed to
perhaps be like
a little sensitive
on this day
because she thought that
was intentionally directed
at her
and maybe the breakup
and the two of them
basically we could go back and forth
with these quotes but it would be a little bit
it's too much too convoluted
the bottom line is that like
cat thinks it was directed at her
and the split
and then
because those two
were always at each other's throat
but really
Olivia went on
Instagram or TikTok or whatever it is
and she was just like
I just want to be clear
that what I posted earlier
has nothing to do with Kat
and I believe her
I wonder where
cats
I mean I don't know enough
about the backstory here
but I wonder where Kat's assumption
that it was about her came from
Don't you wish your girlfriend was hot like me?
I mean, it's just the song.
It's like the song being like, hey, John Henry.
Like, because she and Kat like went back and forth with John Henry.
So it was probably like, hey, don't you want to get back with me.
But couldn't Kylie also have said like the same thing?
Because wasn't the Olivia and Kylie situation, you know, rough for a while?
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, it might just be a very sensitive time.
But anyways, it did blow up on social media.
And so that's what we're talking about it.
This was very public.
This was not a private, like, conversation between the two of them.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But initially it was private when, uh, cat DM'd her.
Sure.
Okay.
And was like, really?
Yeah.

Hello, Ed.
From a very rural background myself, my dad is a farmer and my mom is a cousin, so like, it's not like...
What do you get when a true crime producer walks into a comedy club?
I know it sounds like the start of a bad joke, but that really was my reality nine years ago.
I just normally do straight stand-up, but this is a bit different.
On stage stood a comedian with a story that no one expected to hear.
Well, 22nd of July 2015, a 23-year-old man had killed.
his family.
And then he came to my house.
So what do you get when a true crime producer walks into a comedy club?
A new podcast called Wisecrack, where stand-up comedy and murder takes center stage.

Rachel Reckia says she won't join another bachelor's show.
I love this quote.
She says, I've completed the Trinity.
Mm-hmm.
I did all three.
I'm very lucky that I had the opportunity to do that.
And that's what we got.
You know, I think that's a cute way of putting it.
And there's really, it would be kind of, no, she could be like Nick.
How did Nick?
did two main shows, that's why.
Yeah.
So, you know, I'd say that the Trinity is great.
Stop there.
I did four shows too, so, like, I can make fun of myself.
Yeah.
I mean, there, I don't even think that's something to, like, make fun of somebody for me.
Bukowski did, what, nine or eight or something crazy?
If you got the opportunity and you're still single, I don't know a better place,
especially now being 34 and having some friends that are still single looking, it's hard.
So might as well go on a dating show and see if, you know, somebody there pops out at you.
I think it's a great thing to keep going.
I tell my friends who are in the 30s and single, why aren't you doing this?
I can get you on so easily.
Come on.
It's worth it.
Next headline, you know, Ryan Sutter and Trista Sutter just celebrated 20 years of marriage.
What an incredible accomplishment.
That's just so cool that we have somebody from the franchise that's married for 20 years.
It's awesome.
And here's the headline.
Bachelorette's Ryan Sutter calls
23 the most challenging year
of Trista Sutter and
well, Ryan's marriage.
Do you feel like
this is like a bit of a
headline that is like
for clickbait?
Yes.
Okay.
So I'm going to read it.
It says they've never
said it would be easy, but this year
was one of the craziest, most challenging, most
unpredictable years of the 20 we've now spent together. We've struggled. We've cried.
We've laughed. We've loved. And we did it all. And we did it together. Like we always had you and me
hand in hand, heart to heart. Let me go back to what I was saying. It's, it makes it seem like
they were like on the brink of divorce or something. I just think that they like went through a lot this
year. Continuing. It started in front of millions, but today it's us. No wedding special. No
fanfare. No red carpet. Just love. That's all we've ever needed. I love you.
Trista Sutter, now and forever, happy anniversary.
And then Trista got into the comments and said,
from this words of affirmation, girl,
thank you, babe, for your words.
And most importantly, for your love,
you are my safe harbor, my happy place,
my absolute favorite love story.
Here's to living life and taking chances.
So what they went through this year was something that they've been going through
for a while is, you know,
his dealing with his Lyme disease.
And this year,
they lived with his parents for a significant portion of the year, which I imagine when you're
in your 50s and you have two kids and your kids are switching school districts, it's got to be
a lot.
Yeah, definitely does.
You know, I think it's been, it's been hard, yeah, for them, I know, because now they move
to Denver.
And so I can't wait to see them more.
That's so fun.
With living with in-laws, as great as your in-laws can be, I have the best in-laws.
I've lived with them for a period of my life.
I really enjoyed it.
I just think the difficulty is after like six months when you're like using the same
kitchen and the same bathrooms, like everybody does things differently, I could see where
no matter how much love there is, you just don't want guests either side in your house
for that one.
Final headline is this.
Nick Vile, obviously he's going to be a dad very soon, says,
changes will be made to
disgusting pot smoking habit
after daughter is born.
Okay. I talked about
this in person with them a couple
weeks ago. Nick
does smoke a lot of pot.
But
Natalie wants him to cut it off before
the baby comes,
which I think makes a lot of sense.
And on the Viol
files this week,
he opened up to guest
Crystal Minkoff about
this CBD-infused dinner that you have with the real housewives.
And he says he doesn't judge different ways to inhale, to ingest marijuana.
He's preparing to kick all his habits.
I have a daughter coming, so I've been informed that changes will be made, which I honestly
appreciate.
He calls it a disgusting habit.
He says he's never smoked a cigarette in his life and always taken pride in that.
And meanwhile, I'm just here smoking a joint.
Um, yeah. And then she, Natalie said, listen, our daughter can't go to preschool and say, my daddy was smoking a blunt at home. Um, like, no, she can't do that. I also don't really want my daughter to smell weed in the house. So, well, we'll see if, I think he, I think he's going to stop smoking it. But like, he might, like, have some gummies around the house.
But changes will be made, I guess.
Changes will be made.
We'll have to talk to Nick directly about this.
Yeah, changes will be made, or you go listen to his podcast, or I'm sure they dive in more to the details.
That's all the headlines we have for you today.
Again, hey, we've had a great couple weeks.
We're having a lot of fun, and there's more good stuff coming.
We have an interview with Tanner.
We have a, well, a conversation.
It's not an interview.
It's a conversation with Zachary Reality, which we've really enjoyed, and I know you as listeners.
have enjoyed us having him on about some of the big headlines, the breakups from Bachelor in
Paradise. So please go listen to those. We dive into a lot more details and get, well, all the
tea, as people say, that's out there because Zachary knows it all. So stay tuned. Keep listening.
We're going to keep putting out great episodes. But until next time, I've been Ben.
I've been Ashley. Bye, guys. Follow the Ben and Ashley I, almost famous podcast on IHartRadio or
