Is it happening? Where is it happening? What's going on? Who's going to be there? All the answers will be revealed later on, but let's start with the first headline of today. Ashley, here it is. Bachelor in Paradise alum Alexis Waters. I just think about hoops when I think about her.

Me too. And Tyler Fernandez are getting married after nearly six years together. Well, they are married. They got married at a little white chapel in Vegas. The day after my sister got married there, we did not see Alexis. I got a couple of questions online asking if we did run into her. Nope, she was the next day. Very similar weddings.

She was in a different room. She was in the bigger room. There's three rooms at this very famous chapel where Michael Jordan, Britney Spears, Joe Jonas, all got married. And where I have officially married 10 people at that chapel during my time as Bachelor. Okay, I told Nas, so you guys know my new friend, Naz Perez, who I host another podcast, was one of Ben's, was one of Ben's producers on the show. And I said, did you record an episode of The Bachelor there? Because she said that she'd been there a number of times and she said, no. Did she not produce that date? Probably not. It was Becca Tilly and I, actually,

yeah, we got to renew some vows, marry some people. It was a blast. That's so fun. So Alexis was married in the 30-person room, and she was married by an Elvis impersonator. She said that she and her now husband, Tyler, who have been together for six years, they never really wanted to do a big wedding. So Vegas was perfect for them. His family has always been a fan of Vegas. And her mom also got married at the Little White Chapel. Oh, that's super cool.

It was her only marriage that lasted, she said. So I'm just trying to get, to keep the tradition alive in the family. That was a quote from Alexis. Yes. That's so good. So Alexis. Congratulations. Yeah, great.

Just a massive, fun personality always has been, always will be. Super excited for her and obviously this new marriage. Six years is a long time to date. So it's not a shock, but it is something to be excited about. Well, switching gears from marriages to breakups. Tasha Adams, who we haven't talked about in a long time. She's still around, still doing great stuff. Of course, she's always going to be relevant.

I feel like she's an evergreen and bachelor nation. And Luke Goldrensen reportedly split after two years together. Now, we've been with them while they were together. This was Chris Harrison's wedding. They're splitting up. Yeah, they've seemingly split up. We don't really know a ton because, these two have been private their entire relationship for the past two years they have never

actually confirmed their relationship they've never posted of each other but just this week he has been posting some cryptic stories on instagram including clips of him running and bible verses together um so ben actually since you are probably more familiar with this bible verse can you can you read this i didn't know that there was there was a reference to a spinning ballerina in the bible yeah because this is not a bible verse okay so whoever wrote this article does not know their bible very well well it's so this is a very popular like devote morning devotional so uh the references to to scripture are listed below Hebrews 12, 2, and Psalms 10, or one, it's actually 102, 27.

That's the references that this little devotional speaking about, but this is the devotional that you're looking at with a spinning ballerina is not exactly a Bible verse. It's just, do you want me read it still? Sure, if you think it's something that you could break down as far as a breakup goes. I'll read it because I think it gives insight into where his head is at. Here it says, okay. Make your focal point as you. move through this day. Just as a spinning ballerina must keep returning her eye to a given point

to maintain her balance. So you must keep returning your focus to me. Circumstances are in flux, and the world seems to be whirling around you. The only way to keep your balance is to fix your eyes on me, the one who never changes. If you gaze too long at your circumstances, you'll become dizzy and confused. Look at me, refreshing yourself in my presence, and your steps will be steady and sure. So he's obviously talking about he needs to stay focused. Stay focused on this focal point, which in his case seems to be his faith in Jesus. This is a Christian devotional. I can't tell if this is like actually the message translation of the Bible or if it is a devotional after reading that. But I think what we can get from that in general is that he is focusing his eyes on

something so to not lose his balance in life right now because it feels like it's a little bit in chaos, especially if they are breaking up. Yes. And also, you could post that without breaking up with somebody. So it's not completely telling. Very cryptic. We don't know what's going on. Rumors of relationships now.

jason has like an agency of sorts and he i'm sure he talks about that on his podcast all the time but if you guys aren't aware he like kind of runs a social media agency and he thinks that this was the unofficial house of it official or unofficial whatever um house at stagecoach where he had a whole bunch of bachelor alum staying and um kelly and him were appearing in a lot of social media posts together of course getting the talk all spiced up um now some people are saying this is all like this is all just speculation fan speculation some people are saying that she's not ready to date you know her she's still mourning the father the passing of her father i mean that that morning will be a long time coming but you know it's just not maybe the best time

for her to start a relationship some people are saying that jason is definitely interested and they're talking about maybe seeing each other this summer in the hamptons i mean how long Okay, Ashley, you know this world better than me. How long does this play out until we get like a confirm that they're dating or not dating? Or is this just going to be one of those like things that it will be like a perpetual rumor until one of them come out dating somebody else? Or maybe each other. It's like, oh, do I like? headlines yeah let's maybe milk of this this feels like it might be like real rachel recia and blake moines they are off in africa together on a safari with blake's wildlife association his organization save our species alliance and yeah no other bachelor nation members there they are with other people on the safari i don't know how many like five maybe but this is like kind of hot. Like, I kind of like them together. But listen, they're not together. At least that's what

Rachel is telling me directly. When she posted this picture of her and Blake on this, like, safari Jeep, and like they were like kind of intertwined. Like, it seemed like his arm was wrapped around his leg, her leg. I said, I DM'd her to that. And I go, are you sure you're not dating? And she's like, Yes, I'm sure. Maybe we're ruining this, like, headline shipping that could be happening by saying they're not together. Maybe they want us to think they're together to keep them in the headlines. Oh, so it's actually the reverse of what I initially said, but between the two shipping couples. Yeah, could be.

I don't know. This seems romantic. It does seem romantic. There's a lot of tears, a lot of, like, sunsets and animals. It's the coloring, right? there's a lot happening on their social medias that makes it seem like if they weren't

dating they might be after this trip. Right. It's like the Bachelor always says this is the perfect place to fall in love. It feels like this trip for them is the perfect place to maybe fall in love. If they're not together after this trip though, like it's probably not going to happen.

It's not going to happen. You could be good friends though and just do some leg touching now and again. I don't know any friends There's, I've never, never, even when Jared and I were just friends and like, of course, flirty friends, we wouldn't naturally find ourselves in that pose if we weren't also making out. They're like sharing a tent. Come on, guys. Well, you know it's only a matter of time before we get Rachel on here as she's my favorite fill in for Ben. So we'll have to grill her.

Yeah, we have to. Joan and Chalk reveal why their wedding planning is on hold for now. This is not that juicy. I also don't think that they should like get married. I don't know. You guys know how I feel about the Golden Couples. I'm like, just be together for a long time. You're not having children.

You don't need the certificate right now. Okay, their wedding's on hold because right now, Jones' oldest son is getting married this summer so they don't want to like overshadow and then he said that this is chalk who was talking to Parade magazine said that after this

season of weddings for Joan the other son is probably going to get engaged so spoiler alert to the fiancé out there or the future fiancee out there and he's like so because of these weddings right now we're putting ours on hold. Yeah, so he says that their schedule is booked through October.

They feel crazy busy. Putting a wedding is just not on our schedule right now. It seems like it would be overwhelming to add to what we're already doing. And like, yeah, totally, don't worry. Don't worry about it. You don't have to get married right now. Moving on to other golden news, Gary Turner reveals new girlfriend. I think you say your name, Lana.

L-A-N-A. Uh, very cute new couple alert. Uh, it's, it's really fun to see him smiling and happy. And it seems like they're very smiley and happy. Mm-hmm. Uh, he told the Happy Hour podcast a couple months ago earlier this month, uh, you know, like in April, said that he's dating someone new. At this point, it's going well, but I don't want to say too much and jinx it.

But then he revealed the picture just this past week. Um, says that their first date was a, little bit over a month ago and they have been inseparable ever since they have met each other's family and friends and she's a retired teacher she's very family oriented and gary says that he didn't believe in love at first night in the past but lana has changed his tune on that what yeah that's like that's pretty big after he's not going to be in paradise either then no no no no you would think that they would have tried to get him down there for something They have not started filming.

Today is May 1st that we're recording this. They have not started filming yet, but we do know that the cast is down there in preparation. Serena and Joe gave an update to all of us on Serena's green card, and it says it didn't go as we hoped. Okay, this is actually outdated because they've been trying to. to get her a green card for years now they got married in september 2023 legally they had their you know party celebration wedding um a little bit after that it's been such a process for these guys but they are finally that she's finally got a green card um she's had to go back and forth from montreal a couple times and in expecting interviews a couple of couple times only for them to say you're missing a document you have to go back to new york and come back again next week like that kind of stuff so she's just really relieved that after two and a half

years of this the day is done i mean it's a big deal it's it's big for them it's exciting for them i think it does show the effort that they had to put into this i think they fought we've been able to fall along with their journey uh as this has happened well serena and joe met and people Paradise, correct? Yes. Just like you and Jared met in Paradise. And we're getting news coming in that Paradise is kicking back up. We took a little time off, obviously.

We've been anxiously awaiting the announcement if Paradise would come back or not. I will have to admit that I was wrong. I never thought it would come back. I thought once you canceled this show. I know. You were a downer. Yeah. Well, I don't know how long it's going to be back for, actually. Why are you going to do that?

I mean, anyways, we're very excited about Paradise coming back and being announced to come back. We have some Bachelor Nation favorites already announced, including who I think makes the show. Wells Adams is going to be there as the bartender again. I think he is Paradise. Jesse Palmer will be hosting, along with Hannah Brown joining. This article says fellow bartender that she's going to be carrying the title of. I don't believe that is her title I think they announced it as like

the bubbly server or something Well you know It's because Hannah is a bubbly personality So they're trying to do a double entendre I believe It's like she's the bubbly girl So she's gonna serve bubbly So I'm assuming that there might be like a champagne toast girl

Okay that makes more sense to me Or a different bar where she does like Bollini's and mimosa's like maybe she's the morning girl and then Wells is the night guy, something like that. That makes more sense. I mean, you know I'm very biased. You're very biased.

And I also love Hannah. So you be team Wells and I'll be team Hannah. Well, I like Hannah too. And I don't dislike Hannah. No, of course. And I don't dislike Wells. It's just I have this weird girl crush on Hannah Brown and I always have. I just don't think they needed another bartender.

They've tried this back in the day with Yuki. And like, Yuki's great, but it didn't work. And I just don't understand why they would need one. more bartender on this show when Wells has carried that role for eight seasons now so effectively and so well that bringing in Hannah feels like it's a demotion for him saying hey you need some backup unless she does carry a different role which would be like you said a separate bar there are I mean I try to put my name in I say this and then I'm a hypocrite because I try to put my name in to be the bartender for the old people or the goldens I guess I should say you should have been

Like the, what's the wine people called? Like the wine experts. Somaliers? Somalier for then. Or I could have been the coffee guy. Oh, yeah. Bring them coffee in the morning. Coffee in bed, Ben is there to serve you.

Yeah. But instead, I don't get a call from these people anymore. But I'm glad Hannah Brown is going to be there. She does bring a lot to the show. The Goldens are going to be there as well. We have Gary Levinson, Leslie, a big one for the show to get her to come. Zoe from this last season of The Bachelor, Hakeem, Jonathan Johnson, all those have been announced.

Ashley, it is in Costa Rica. The Bachelor is doing something different this year. I follow some Bachelor-like accounts on social media. Some of the influencers that talk very predominantly about The Bachelor are down there right now in Paradise at the resort that the cast is now showing up to, they're sending back some videos and it looks very nice.

It doesn't look at all like the paradise of the past. Oh, because you think that they're going to have air-conditioned rooms? Yes. I think it's a, yes. I wonder how that's going to make a difference. There was something about their survival skills. There was something about like exerting your body and your emotions and like every way. It like just felt more of like a survival game

because not only did you like have to like find love and like play that game, but you also needed to like be uncomfortable but also look beautiful at the same time. So I just wonder if there's going to be like a little less desperation. Well, I mean, I think it will add an element where there was this really enjoyable viewer experience of people like, I mean it's funny, but like sweating on each other

and trying to be romantic in the heat with the bugs and the animals. And, like, it did, it felt less Bachelor Bachelorette-esque. And it felt more like, you know, they were camping and we were getting to watch people camp. And I enjoyed that personally. If they are in really nice resorts with air conditioning, it will feel too much like the Bachelor of Bachelorette for me. I agree. And I could be wrong.

I'm just saying these influencers down there right now are sharing pictures from the resort. It looks gorgeous. let's also is this are we sure this is the actual resort and not like the yeah well that's what they're saying i could follow i could find it right now um she's she's very popular on social media um i'll look at it is it the one you screenshot me the other day uh k her her instagram handle is k york city yeah they're the the bachelor's podcast yeah yeah that's the one and she's if you get on her Instagram or her TikTok right now K York City you can see a whole tour of what looks to be the pair

she says ABC invites you to Bachelor in Paradise and she's filming it and there's private pools and like very fancy sweets and nice outdoor showers with beautiful views and bars and it looks and it looks like there's other guests there which I have heard is going to be a thing that there will be other guests on property while they're filming this show, which feels chaotic. So that's more of like Vendanta. So at Vendantta, which is like the resort that we stay at before and after traditionally

from the other nine seasons, you know, we film dates there, we stay there sometimes. And there's thousands of other guests there when we do that. Yeah. This is different if they're going to actually be here at all hours. You know, it's going to be really interesting, Ashley's if Rehury's. reality Steve shows up and it's like it's going to be different okay so in closing here we could drag this on forever paradise is going to be different than anything we've seen in the past is it going to be as good as what it was in Mexico I'm sure there's going to be moments where we're like

we miss the premier spot for bachelor and paradise we miss being on the beach in Mexico we miss that element of the show I hope this new crew with new creative brains come in and they utilize what was good about Paradise and they changed it up a little bit too to make it a little bit more exciting than it was maybe the season before it ended. But it's changing and viewers are going to have to be okay with that. I do think it's going to, they did announce a premiere date Monday, July 7th. So it'll be a quick turnaround time. Sounds like they're going to film through the month of May.

And as we said, some Bachelor Nations favorites are going to be there. And I hope Wells Adams is on our TVs for at least an hour of each episode because that's what he deserves. Okay. Let's also just mention this one little tidbit that I found out from somebody who will be there. The airport is four hours away from this location. This sounds terrible. That is awful. Could you imagine being like, oh, got eliminated,

going to go, have to take a four-hour drive now? That sounds so bad. What resort in Costa Rica is built four hours from the closest airport? I don't know. I feel like that's a you question since you've been there. That just sounds like a bad planning on the resort side. I don't know what's going on. Anyways, this has been the almost famous podcast.
