Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an I-Heart podcast. My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly, and now I'm seriously suspicious. Wait a minute, Sam. Maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit. Well, Dakota, luckily, it's back to school week on the OK Storytime podcast, so we'll find out soon. This person writes, my boyfriend's been hanging out with his young professor a lot. He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her. Now he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone.
Starting point is 00:00:25 Hold up. Isn't that against school policy? That seems inappropriate. Maybe find out how it ends by listening to the OK Storytime podcast and the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hello, it's Daniel Fischel. Writer Strong. And Will Ferdell from PodMeets World. We are back in Las Vegas and giving the people what they want, a full week of Y2K content. Tell me why. Well, for the Backstreet Boys residency at Sphere, of course.
Starting point is 00:00:54 We joke and say this is our second marriage, but it takes a lot of communication. Plus, it's carrot top, baby. And finally, Ashley Simpson-Ross joins us to talk about her upcoming sold-out Vegas residency. Listen to PodMeets World on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. December 29th, 1975, LaGuardia Airport. The holiday rush, parents hauling luggage, kids gripping their new Christmas toys. Then everything changed. There's been a bombing at the TWA.
Starting point is 00:01:30 terminal, just a chaotic, chaotic scene. In its wake, a new kind of enemy emerged, terrorism. Listen to the new season of Law and Order Criminal Justice System on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, I'm Jay Shetty, and I'm the host of the on-purpose podcast, and today I'm joined by one of the greatest athletes of all time, Novak Djokovic. He's won 14 grand slams in a glittering career. Novak, Djokovic.
Starting point is 00:02:02 When you reach your 30, you start counting your days to your retirement. I'm 38 this year. How long can I push my own limits? Listen to On Purpose with Jay Shetty on the IHart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Hi, my name is Enya Yumanzoor. And I'm Drew Phillips. And we run a podcast called Emergency Intercom. If you're a crime junkie,
Starting point is 00:02:27 and you love crimes, we're not the podcast for you. But if you have unmedicated ADHD... Oh my God, perfect. And want to hear people with mental illness, psychobabble. Yes, yes. Then Emergency Intercom is the podcast for you. Open your free IHeartRadio app. Search Emergency Intercom and listen now.
Starting point is 00:02:49 This is the Ben and Ashley I, almost famous podcast with IHartRadio. Hey guys, welcome to the almost famous headlines. Today, Trista is here with me and we're going to be breaking down Bachelor headlines and if you haven't already, just a reminder to go and vote in the almost famous podcast awards yet. You, Trista, and I both nominated.
Starting point is 00:03:13 I think I am most like expressionful. I think I just made up that word. I have the most expressive face. Yeah, there you go. But I know Justin Glaze is definitely going to beat me out of that category. It's really. fun categories, guys. It's like, who's your favorite lead? Who is your favorite villain? Most
Starting point is 00:03:33 memorable moment stuff. It's really great. If you're wondering how to vote, you got to go to our socials and it will teach you exactly how to cast that thing. All right, Trista, let's get into headline number one. It seems as if Caitlin Bristow is soft launching her relationship with Zach Clark. Like, you and I totally have no idea what's going on here. No idea. No idea. No idea. You guys just want on a trip together. And I know that you didn't talk about her love life at all. No, not at all. We don't talk about love life or any.
Starting point is 00:04:09 We didn't talk really about life at all. We just looked at the beautiful ocean. That was her 40th birthday party, right? Yes. Well, one of them. I feel like she was, she celebrated her 40th a few times. But she planned this trip to Mexico with like her Canadian. besties and Kat from Nashville and Whitney, who I freaking love. We were roomies. And I just
Starting point is 00:04:37 love her. But yeah, we got to go to Cabo and it was so much fun. I just love myself some Caitlin. And yeah, I'm not spilling any beans today about what we talked about. But yeah, go on. So supposedly they were taking a very long 13-hour roadshow. together where she sat in the passenger seat and she got to be passenger princess napping, snacking, and singing the whole time. She was posting along the way. And people feel like the arm that was present in the driver's seat look a lot, looks a lot like Zach's arm. And they said that there's also like some people catching a voice in the background sounds like Zach's voice. Another person said, I know like a person in the comment said, I know that voice. I know that voice. I
Starting point is 00:05:27 I'd know it anywhere. And I think there was a watch, too. Wasn't there a watch situation? Oh, okay. So I matched what Zach normally wears. Yeah, like he, there was a watch in a picture of hers and, um, they matched it. I mean, please, a billion guys wear the same kind of watch. So, you know, it is what it is.
Starting point is 00:05:48 But, um, yeah, I, I mean, I'm happy for her regardless of what's happening because she is very happy right now. And I am totally a kind of person that would play detective and be like, hmm, is he wearing, you know, a watch that looks like something that he just posted? I would totally be the detective person if I, if I didn't know what was going on. So I totally get it. I don't, I get why people are interested and want to figure that out. But I'll just leave it at I'm really happy for Caitlin. Yeah. I know that when Caitlin broke up with Jason, that her plan was kind of to never put another relationship online until there was a wedding ring on her finger. She was like
Starting point is 00:06:36 not an engagement ring. A wedding ring. So we'll see if she sticks with that. But this was a little bit of a tease, a jump in. What we would like to think is the right direction as far as relationship growth goes, not as far as us, you know, posting on Instagram. Yeah, right. Okay. Yeah, she seems very comfortable if this is in fact him and if they're in fact together or whatnot.
Starting point is 00:07:02 Okay, so then Daisy Kent reveals unexpected details about her life living with her boyfriend, Thor, which I still can't get over. It's like a year and a half later that she's dating a guy named Thor. If you guys don't know, she and Thor had a kind of previous relationship back in college. and then they rekindled things after things didn't work out with Joey on his season of The Bachelor. They moved to Las Vegas.
Starting point is 00:07:29 They actually built the home together in Las Vegas. And she was recently on Casual Chaos, which is Teresa Judice's daughter's podcast, Gia Judice. And she revealed that she and Thor have separate toilets. That's the way they design the house. I think this is a fantastic idea. She goes, we have a conjoined bathroom, but we have our own sinks
Starting point is 00:07:51 ones on my side one's on his side and they face each other there's a bath in the middle and then we have separate toilets which I like she said that like they were joking
Starting point is 00:08:02 that they never seen anything like this but that they like the setup and I'm like duh you like this setup how nice is that that's the ideal situation actually Jared's a tub guy so back before we had kids
Starting point is 00:08:14 I was like obsessed with designing our house I definitely thought like it was time to build up forever home and then you have a kid and you're like whatever we'll do right now whatever i will live in the fineness happiness contentness until like they're in upper elementary school right and then i can maybe have a moment to think about this decorate it and not get destroyed glad it actually didn't happen but my dream situation was to have our bedroom and then to have two bathrooms
Starting point is 00:08:46 coming off the main bedroom because I wanted whole separate bedrooms because Jared's a tub guy and I was like I want to take a bath without having his grime and all of his little body hairs
Starting point is 00:08:59 on the sides of the tub once it drains out. That's so true. Neither of us are really big bath people but I totally get that because Blakesley will use our bathtub every now and then and yes,
Starting point is 00:09:15 the grime that's left in there. And even if it's just from the bubbles or whatever, it's just kind of gross. So, yeah, I totally get that. Yeah. But I love that, you know, we had, in our house and veil, we had separate closets.
Starting point is 00:09:30 And I will always, if there's a house that has separate closets and it's in our budget, that's the house I want. You know, that's a priority. We share a closet now and it's big enough for us to share it. But the bathroom situation, I've never
Starting point is 00:09:46 really thought about separate bathrooms, clearly separate sinks are a necessity. If that's something that's in your budget, like, oh, it's a game changer, I feel like for any relationship. If you can have a separate sink, it will save your marriage. Yeah, that's a big one. So that's where you start. And then I would say step number two, separate toilets is pretty nice. And step number three, whole separate toilets. So Daisy, we understand you. This is not weird. And I actually have to say that we were just in Tahoe together. Her Daisy was there for our pickleball tournament, which we missed you at. But so we were talking about how she wants to write another children's book, possibly in the future.
Starting point is 00:10:34 And I was like, oh, you need to put Thor in the book. Like maybe make him like a little, you're like pet dog or something. Yes. Oh, so funny. I was like, you need to put Thor. But yeah, you're right. That name, Thor, it's so interesting to me. I know.
Starting point is 00:10:53 I don't know where it came to. Because he doesn't look like a Thor either. Because you just obviously imagine Chris Hemsworth. Yes. One thousand percent. Yeah. So Lauren Lyondike, she had a pajama baby shower. What's your first thought about a baby shower for your fourth kid?
Starting point is 00:11:10 My thought is. I'm pretty much assuming here that what happened was she they had a vasectomy like they biologically said we're closing the door on this so if they did it to his body they definitely did it to the stuff
Starting point is 00:11:27 in the house so they probably got rid of everything and then they're like who are so right yeah well I think also you know when you're having a baby shower or wedding shower it's like a way to get started with all the basics and for people to shower you and spoil you and all of that stuff.
Starting point is 00:11:45 And it doesn't seem like Ari and Lauren are struggling financially. Yeah. So that would be the thing that I feel like people would have the biggest problem with is really you're having a baby shower. But I feel like more so baby showers are just a way to get together with your girlfriends or your family or whatever and celebrate. you know a new baby is coming it's not like I don't think that Lauren was probably like here is my wish list get me all of these things definitely not no between brand partnerships brand gifting whatever they have in the house from the kids but I'm sure that it probably said something like no gifts or like bring a book that's like a lot of the things for a sprinkle is bring a book or like
Starting point is 00:12:33 bring diaper or something like that and I love that the whole um Arii I was following along with his, the Hatchelor mansion, the whole chicken coop that he made, he made from scratch. Like, it's actually really satisfying to watch those videos, like how he does like a time lapse of like what, how he built the whatever he's building at the time. He is really becoming very handy. And I loved seeing him create that like little backdrop for the, for the shower too. It's, it's kind of amazing that he's got.
Starting point is 00:13:10 that talent. Sometimes I'm like, Ari, like, how do you do all this? How are you like a master Realtor? You're selling multi-million dollar houses. You have your social media, influencer life, you know, work. Yeah. She's doing that. You have three kids with a four on the way, and then you're just in your spare time making Hatchelor mansions for the chickens. They have to have a nanny. Well, their kids are in school now. That's what they told us when we were like, when they were trying to get pregnant again and um we're like really like how like we are so like we can't do more than two how could you do four and they were like well you that's because of where you guys are right now because when your kids are like three and a half plus and they're in school like for a lot
Starting point is 00:13:58 of the day then you realize that like you're low you have so much more time than you had for the past like three four years so they're like and that's when you're going to have like the sadness I'm like, okay, well, we'll see. I'm not there yet. Oh, girlfriend, the sadness. I just took my last first picture of Max. It was his first day of senior year. Oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 00:14:21 Today. Like, I mean. Today. Today. Yeah, it was their first day of school. Do you have one from every first day of school? I literally did that earlier. I went back and I lost a bunch of pictures because I had like a,
Starting point is 00:14:37 a what do you call it a hard drive freeze or get burnt up or whatever so I lost a crap ton of pictures which was very sad but I do have some very devastating
Starting point is 00:14:52 like tens of thousands of pictures I try not to think about it but anyway yes I went through I went through pictures and I found I'm not going to post this on but I'm just
Starting point is 00:15:07 going to show you, um, because this was his very first day of preschool. Ryan's walking him to preschool. Look how tiny he is. I'm literally like, you have to use this like when we say goodbye to him to when he goes to college or whatever he does after school. I'm like, that's my baby. Anyway, I can't believe how fast years ago. So I, I mean, Jared and I have married six years now. Dawson's, even just saying Dawson's three and a half, which means, I was pregnant with him four years ago, it's like,
Starting point is 00:15:41 everything is crazy. My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly and now I'm seriously suspicious. Wait a minute, Sam. Maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit. Well, Dakota, it's back to school week on the OK Storytime podcast,
Starting point is 00:15:58 so we'll find out soon. This person writes, my boyfriend has been hanging out with his young professor a lot. He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her. Now he's insisting We get to know each other, but I just want her gone.
Starting point is 00:16:09 Now, hold up. Isn't that against school policy? That sounds totally inappropriate. Well, according to this person, this is her boyfriend's former professor, and they're the same age. It's even more likely that they're cheating. He insists there's nothing between them. I mean, do you believe him? Well, he's certainly trying to get this person to believe him because he now wants them both to meet.
Starting point is 00:16:27 So, do we find out if this person's boyfriend really cheated with his professor or not? To hear the explosive finale, listen to the OK Storytime podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever. you get your podcast. Hello, it's Daniel Fischel. Writer Strong. And Wilfredel from PodMeets World. And we're bringing you Viva Las Content. That's right.
Starting point is 00:16:47 We are back in Las Vegas, the city of sin, and giving the people what they want. A full week of Y2K content. Wait, we're back in Vegas? Tell me why. Well, for the Backstreet Boys residency at Sphere, of course. We sat down with Kevin Richardson and A.J. McLean just minutes before they took the stage and our very own Wilfredel basically became the newest member of the band. Boy band, please.
Starting point is 00:17:13 Plus, the man who has the longest running comedy show on the strip joins us and gets his props. It's carrot top, baby. And finally, we all L-O-V-E-Hur, Ashley Simpson-Ross, joins us to talk about her upcoming sold-out Vegas residency. It's a full week of nostalgic interviews you don't want to miss. Listen to PodMeets World on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. December 29th, 1975, LaGuardia Airport. The holiday rush, parents hauling luggage, kids gripping their new Christmas toys. Then, at 6.33 p.m., everything changed.
Starting point is 00:17:58 There's been a bombing at the TWA terminal. Apparently, the explosion actually impelled metal, glass. The injured were being loaded into ambulances, just a chaotic, chaotic scene. In its wake, a new kind of enemy emerged, and it was here to stay. Terrorism. Law and Order Criminal Justice System is back. In Season 2, we're turning our focus to a threat that hides in plain sight. That's harder to predict and even harder to stop.
Starting point is 00:18:31 Listen to the new season of Law and Order Criminal Justice System on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, I'm Jay Shetty, and I'm the host of the on-purpose podcast, and today I'm joined by one of the greatest athletes of all time, Novak Djokovic. The world's number one, myel tennis player. He's won 14 grand slams in a glittering career. Novak Djokovic! You've been through so many injuries, losses.
Starting point is 00:19:03 I always showed himself. What has Novak Djokovic done? What goes through your mind when you lose? I just want to be left alone. What has it taken to become Novak Djokovic? It's a consistent practice. It's prayer work, mindfulness, meditation, conscious breathing. It requires more responsibility from you on a daily basis
Starting point is 00:19:24 to prepare yourself for the biggest battle. When you reach your 30, you start counting your days to your retirement. I'm 38 this year. How far can I go? How long can I push my own limits? Listen to On Purpose with Jay Shetty on the IHart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Have you ever wished for a change but weren't sure how to make it? Maybe you felt stuck in a job, a place, or even a relationship.
Starting point is 00:19:50 I'm Emily Tish Sussman, and on she pivots, I dive into the inspiring pivots of women who have taken big leaps in their lives and careers. I'm Gretchen Whitmer, Jody Sweeten. Monica Patton. Elaine Welterah. I'm Jessica Voss. And that's when I was like, I got to go. I don't know how, but that kicked off. the pivot of how to make the transition.
Starting point is 00:20:10 Learn how to get comfortable pivoting because your life is going to be full of them. Every episode gets real about the why behind these changes and gives you the inspiration and maybe the push to make your next pivot. Listen to these women and more on She Pivots now on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:20:34 I wanted to talk more about Ari, though. in his building. So he's been showing off a lot of his handyman skills on social lately and we just can't help or wonder that maybe he's trying to get the attention of HGTV for the new Bachelor Mansion Renovation Show. What's your take? Yeah, duh. I mean, it's a smart move. I love that whole stuff. I mean, Ryan and I, I think this is a little known fact. We did a show for HGTV called Rocky Mountain Renno. It was a It was just a pilot. They didn't pick it up.
Starting point is 00:21:08 But I love that whole space. It is so fun. I'm always watching Jojo and Jordan's videos. She just bought this new, like, house to, you know, renovate and put on the market to rent. And I want to be her. Like, I want to do that so badly. It seems so fun. Even though so gross at the same time, but so fun.
Starting point is 00:21:32 See, I think that Jojo and Jordan would be. the most obvious pick for that because they're the most modern, relevant bachelor couple that's where she started. That was her first job. That's what she was doing when she was on Ben's season. So, yeah, I think that they would be top running,
Starting point is 00:21:50 but they're so busy. Oh, Tyler, but I think Tyler's going to announce that he has a new show with Ryan Seer, you know, Ryan from a million dollar listing. Yeah, I'm pretty sure Tyler's going to be on a million dollar listing type show. That's so fun. I love that.
Starting point is 00:22:08 I got your HTTP for him. What? Would you do it? Would you do it? Oh my gosh. Hell yes. Sign me up. I would I would do it in a heartbeat.
Starting point is 00:22:19 Without paycheck. I love interior design. Well, I mean, it will, it would depend on schedule because, you know, the kids and whatever. And Ryan and I can't just leave my dog. Yeah. But if no one's watching him. but yes I would love that
Starting point is 00:22:37 I love renovation shows so much fun and to renovate the bachelor mansion that is iconic and epic and will live in history for all time
Starting point is 00:22:48 so I would love to be part of it pardon me I'm having a hot flash oh great that's fun lovely hot flash oh yeah so fun our first bachelorette is having hot flashes
Starting point is 00:22:59 so time goes by fast I always like to remind myself of this terrifying fact That I went to a Jonah My first Jonas Brothers concert was in 2008 Which means that it was I'm really good at math Like 17 years ago You know 16 17 years ago
Starting point is 00:23:20 18 because my son was born in 2007 Okay it's 2025 So Jesus Christ So my first Jonas brother concert It was 18 years ago And that meet in 18 years from now, when I am 50 fucking five, yeah, I'll be through metapause. So, like, the amount of time for my first show and for your concert, too, I think that, why, you know, yeah, what? Oh, yes, girl. Oh, yeah. I'm 52 right now. So right in there. Oh, yeah, yeah. It goes too fast.
Starting point is 00:23:58 All right. Everybody, don't make fun of my math. I know that my numbers are a little off there. I'm very, very tired, guys. And that's where I'm going to leave it. Give yourself some grace. Yeah, we're going to leave there. Moving on Sam McKinley and Ali Joe Hanks. You guys know them from the past two seasons of the Bachelorette and Bachelorette. And you know both of them from this season of Paradise.
Starting point is 00:24:23 Well, they're revealing now if they'd ever talk before going on Paradise. Now, you may not remember this little nuance, but while they were both on this season, they never overlapped in time so they miss each other by one week just days really and now they are dating in real life their launch post was saying that they put it into their own hands
Starting point is 00:24:45 sometimes you have to put it into your own hands and they are admitting that she reached out to him a couple months ago during grant seasons airing and she messaged him and said I actually just got compared to you on the show like right after the episode after the basketball date and we started chatting for a little bit and then a couple
Starting point is 00:25:06 months later I posted a photo and he DM'd me and then we started talking about paradise we both didn't know if we were going to go or not and then he answered me and I stopped answering his messages good job good job she says that if they both went that he would be someone that she wanted to meet in real life and explore a relationship in paradise so she did not want to keep the conversation and going via DM and get all those questions on the beach. She wanted to happen. It had to happen organically. Obviously, that did not happen.
Starting point is 00:25:39 But they were going to make stuff happen themselves. And they didn't need TV. They didn't need TV to book a plane ticket. That's what he said. And once he found out that she wasn't there and he was going home, he was like, all right, that's fine. And then they started messaging each other again. And got a phone call, got a number. Remember, before you know it, got on a flight. That's it. Very cute. I love it. Yeah. Why not? Like, I mean, just the idea of paradise and them going to paradise, I think probably sparked the conversation even more that maybe had already started for them. So why not? Like, you know, go for it. Even though they're long distance, they're still young. I think they're a really cute couple. And I think it's great.
Starting point is 00:26:31 you know super cute i think that did i talk about this with you because i know jade came up with the idea i'm not sure if we talked about it but she said that it would be a good idea if paradise like kind of had everybody there at once one season where there was no entrances because then like everybody could see hey of this group will there ever be anyone for me and it could create more couples i think it'd be great like i don't i get that bringing people in is like exciting Yeah, nerve-wracking. People are like, who's coming, and it's the what, who knows, and what-ifs and all of that. But I do think it would be awesome to have everyone there at the same time.
Starting point is 00:27:11 They'd still have a ton of content, you know. It might not be as exciting with the arrivals, but you could still make it exciting somehow. I don't know. Yeah, I think that would be fair, you know. So if you're going to be on Paradise, then you have the chance to meet all. of these people. And I have a question for you. Were there less people this season? Yeah. They're like significantly less people because of the Golden's being there. Okay. That's what I was wondering. Yeah. They also usually bring people in a little bit longer into
Starting point is 00:27:45 the season, but I think because they wanted to do the competition, they did it. Oh, yeah, right. They did without that, which makes sense and is good because those people that always come in the past the last couple weeks, they never have a chance anyway. So I think that because they always get the complaint of why is there even people coming in now there's not a chance for them they're like all right well we'll do without that in sad news i'm so sorry i feel so bad for them um nick and natalie have revealed came out today on their episode of vials that she is currently going through her third miscarriage this year he said um as you can see natalie is not with us there's no easy way to talk about it. Sadly, Natalie experienced another miscarriage. It's her third this year,
Starting point is 00:28:34 our third this year, and there's really no way of saying it. Like, it just fucking sucks. And she's obviously at home resting and healing it both emotionally and physically. And it's just so sad. I feel awful for them. He said that it's a bit of a scary time for him and Natalie because they experienced the previous two miscarriages this year. And this is, it's far less normal to have two or three back to back. Now, he said that we're in kind of that scary process of running tests and finding out more to know about ourselves, you know, biologically. And the weird thing is that if you want them to find something, it's like you, you want
Starting point is 00:29:14 them to find something, but then you don't want them to find something, it's like that weird uncharted territory of fact finding. That's what they're going through right now. Oh, I hate, I mean, I'm heartbroken for them. It makes me want to cry. I feel that the not knowing part, because when Ryan was really sick, you know, we just wanted answers. It took forever to find an answer. I mean, to the point where I was, like, hoping that he had cancer. It got that bad because I wanted, I just wanted to have some way of focusing our energy more on getting him.
Starting point is 00:29:57 better and without the information, you know, of what was going on, you couldn't do that. So, yeah, part of me was like, I think both of us have said this. You kind of wish for something that is known so you can attack it. Yeah. So I totally get the unknown. I totally get hating the unknown and why this is happening to them. And my heart just goes out to them. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:23 And then sometimes it's like, okay, well, if we get to us and finds out there's that there something is wrong at least we like can know right if there's a way to fix it and we can like take action exactly exactly yes right my boyfriend's professor is way too friendly and now i'm seriously suspicious oh wait a minute sam maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit well Dakota it's back to school week on the okay story time podcast so we'll find out soon this person writes my boyfriend has been hanging out with his young professor a lot. He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her. Now, he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone.
Starting point is 00:31:05 Now, hold up. Isn't that against school policy? That sounds totally inappropriate. Well, according to this person, this is her boyfriend's former professor, and they're the same age. And it's even more likely that they're cheating. He insists there's nothing between them. I mean, do you believe him? Well, he's certainly trying to get this person to believe him because he now wants them both to meet.
Starting point is 00:31:22 So, do we find out if this person's boyfriend really cheated with his professor? or not. The holiday rush, parents hauling luggage, kids gripping their new Christmas toys. Then, at 6.33 p.m., everything changed. There's been a bombing at the TWA terminal. Apparently, the explosion actually impelled metal glass. The injured were being loaded into ambulances. Just a chaotic, chaotic scene.
Starting point is 00:33:07 In its wake, a new kind of enemy emerged, and it was here to stay. Terrorism. Law and order, criminal justice system is back. In season two, we're turning our focus to a threat that hides in plain sight. that's harder to predict and even harder to stop. Listen to the new season of Law and Order Criminal Justice System on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. It's prayer work, mindfulness, meditation, conscious breathing. It requires more responsibility from you on a daily basis to prepare yourself

Now on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Another Nick News, he's clarifying the nuptial clause in the Bachelor contract. Nick said that he was offered insight on how the Bachelor franchise weddings are
Starting point is 00:35:38 negotiated, and this is something that you might, you might know of. There's something in our contracts that we sign where it's like, if they give a crap about your relationship and you want to get married on TV, it's already a kind of prearranged thing in your contract. He said it's more free wedding rather than you get paid. Do you remember this? No, because we were the first ones to negotiate it. Okay.
Starting point is 00:36:07 So after you, they started putting it in the contracts. Yes. Because they were like, we're not going to pay everybody a million dollars. Right. Okay. So once you negotiated it and you got the money, they were like, okay. And now we're not doing that again. We really wanted that.
Starting point is 00:36:27 We wanted it enough for a million dollars, but we're never going to want it that bad again. All right. And I'm pretty sure Nick is referring to Bachelor and Bachelor at Lead contracts. There is something in the nuptial contract for just like a regular cast member. And I really? Yeah. Or Paradise or something.
Starting point is 00:36:49 Because it makes sense because. Like if you're marrying the lead, like then... Totally. Okay. So he's saying if they care about your relationship and if you want to get married on TV, then it's like, okay, here's your free wedding. No paycheck or minimal paycheck. I'm sure that's what it focuses on.
Starting point is 00:37:06 Like we're not paying you, but we'll give you a free wedding. Yeah. They're not mandating you to have a wedding on TV. No. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. No. I would think not because there have been plenty of people who have gotten married without it being on television.
Starting point is 00:37:21 Well, they also didn't want it to be, like, a lot of people, um, wanted it to be on TV, but it wasn't. And people are going to be like, Ashley probably wanted hers on TV. I can firmly tell you, I did not want my wedding on TV. I had been to Bachelor weddings before, um, you know, many, actually, I think three. By the time Jared and I were planning our wedding and I was like, I, I, I, you know, don't want to not have full control of my wedding. I want to be my style with my guess.
Starting point is 00:37:57 I don't want it to be an orchestrated event. I feel like, again, with you having the first wedding, you probably did get to have like all the people that you ever wanted at your wedding, right? Yeah. Yeah. Yes. I had total control, not control necessarily is not the right word,
Starting point is 00:38:16 but input. And my input. was heard, you know, and, um, and executed. It wasn't like, oh, well, I'd really like to have Badgley Mishka do my, my dress. Um, and they would be like, okay, well, whatever. We're not going to do that. They like actually listened and implemented pretty much all the things that I, that I wanted to do. I mean, Mindy Weiss was in charge, really. And I just kind of was like, I was like, whatever she wants to do. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:52 You know, I like pink. And so you just roll with that. Yeah. Yeah, there are things looking back that I really wish I would have done, but that wasn't like because it was on television. It was more like, you know, little moments that I wish I would have done.
Starting point is 00:39:11 But I, yeah, I feel very lucky still that we had the wedding that we did. Right. There was so, there was reasons beyond just aesthetic choices for me and in guest choices. It was like, you never know what they're going to do with the edit of your wedding. Like I just think about Jade and Tanner are like with some of our best friends. I'm just like, I'm so sorry that I was any sort of character crying over a boy at your wedding. And that it aired that way.
Starting point is 00:39:44 And that our storyline was like as prevalent as your wedding was. I'm sorry. Yeah, I mean, that definitely affected you. I totally understand. You have every reason to feel like that. Yeah. Especially because it was Jane Tanner. Yeah, I mean, and it was a beautiful wedding.
Starting point is 00:40:01 And for them to not just solely focus on that is a bit sad. And it is weird because, I mean, we took over an entire resort in Palm Springs. It was Rancho Mirage and now I think it's the Ritz. It's the Ritz Carlton now. But so we had the entire resort. there was nobody else there and a lot of the rooms were for executives and people we had never met before you know they're behind the scenes um at disney or abc or warner or whatever um and so that's weird but it really didn't affect me like i was i was happy that it was like a resort
Starting point is 00:40:39 that was full of people that that were all there to to celebrate the love that Ryan and I had for each other so yeah it was great Our final headline of the day is Rachel Rechia, given the real deeds behind why Clayton broke up with her for the second time. Really broke up is a really heavy term here. I'm just using it for the gist of it all. On perfect match, there was like 12 hours where they were going to maybe like try to reckon, you know, like rekindle something.
Starting point is 00:41:10 And then right before he had to like go into the boardroom, if you watch perfect match, you understand what I'm talking. you out he kind of went to her and said hey um never mind don't think that we're suited for each other because he like wanted to go on a date with a fresh person and on the show uh he talked you know he gives like certain reasonings but rachel says that the real reason is because he was saying that it was his intuition my intuition is saying no and she's she's saying what didn't make the cut is that he wants a gym girly like he wants a real gym rat of a girl because he has used the gym as like his outlet since he was 12 years old and he makes sure
Starting point is 00:41:54 that it is such a big part of his life and he needs somebody to understand that and share in that time with him. So there's that. So there's that. And then today he posted something on Instagram about his like daily workout routine and said, just let us. letting you guys know that Rachel and I have spoken multiple times this week, and we both agree that we're just not compatible for multiple reasons. And didn't he say something else in the, like on that story that he shared today, hold on, I'm going to pull it up. Here it is.
Starting point is 00:42:39 He said, and by the way, Rachel, maybe you said this already. Rachel and I have spoken on the phone twice over the last week. we both agree that we have different lifestyles and that's perfectly okay. We respect that about one another and just want the other to be happy. We also both agree we make a mess on reality TV together and need to quit doing that. Which, yeah, I feel like being married for almost 23 years, you know, hindsight's 2020, of course, and I've been through a lot of years of marriage. But even when I was looking for someone to be tied to forever, you know, to be with together forever, I wasn't, if there was something that was, that I was passionate about, I wasn't expecting that person to, like, share in that passion exactly as I do.
Starting point is 00:43:39 do you know what I mean so I I love hanging out with my friends um and I'm not expecting I wasn't expecting the person that I chose to be with forever to like come join me with my friends I just wanted him to respect that I love hanging out with my friends and give me that time yeah now I do understand that you want to share your passions together and that's that's great of course you want to be compatible with someone but I feel like is he at the gym for like 15 hours a day probably not i think that's why he wrote it all down like showing how much you have a time commitment it is but also i think that this is just one of the things that he said just to make her feel better to him to feel better because he knew that if he were to walk
Starting point is 00:44:29 into an actual relationship with rachel when it was like more like days in versus like a few hours he was going to get in trouble he was going to find himself in trouble because if he started again and it didn't end well again it'd be like and you know and for clayton it looks like this this show isn't really making him look the best i haven't watched much of it yet um but i know that he doesn't love the way that he's being portrayed on it oh really yeah so i feel like he's he messed up either way but he also says in the post that like both of them are very messy on reality TV and they don't plan on doing
Starting point is 00:45:09 a dating show again I don't want to throw Rachel onto the bus for this I love Rachel on my TV she's such a beautiful personality and a beautiful face at that too yeah agreed and for him to say like because she doesn't go to the gym
Starting point is 00:45:24 that she's not beautiful or for me I don't know I mean to each their own right to each their own and if that's something that's really important for him to have in a relationship someone to go to the gym with him, then to each their own. But I think maybe just in terms of unsolicited advice,
Starting point is 00:45:45 I do hate unsolicited advice, so I hate that I'm even saying that. But if he's looking for a solid foundation of a relationship, I think it's more about respect for each other's passions and not holding it against them that they don't share the same passions. Exactly. Exactly. Well, Clayton, we're sorry. But we're sorry to, you know, to get you a little bit.
Starting point is 00:46:09 Poor guy. He gets dug out a lot. And he is going to come back on our podcast to talk more about his experience on a perfect match. He did just come on if you guys haven't listened to recap episode two. This is before Rachel enters the villa. And you can listen to how he feels about that episode, about the prior episode, just how he fit in amongst the cast. and how his portrayal is, but then we'll get him on more
Starting point is 00:46:36 to talk about his relationship with Rachel, give him that opportunity since she just had the opportunity on next podcast to talk about her experience with Clayton. Yeah, and that, well, and can I say really quickly, I feel like,
Starting point is 00:46:47 I don't feel like we're taking a dig at him necessarily. I think that he has said what he's said, and if you are on reality television, you know, there's that part of you, if you speak about someone, and you, we share the same feelings about Rachel. I adore her. I like love her so much.
Starting point is 00:47:09 I love her. She's one of my favorite people from Bachelor Nation, and we have a great time when we're together, and I will go to bat for her every day of the week and twice on Sunday. You know what I mean? So I don't think we're taking a dig at him. I think that it's just knowing what I know about marriage and how hard it is, and just what to look for when you're looking for a solid foundation,
Starting point is 00:47:40 I just feel like maybe possibly rethinking, you know, things because maybe the gym is not what you should be focusing on, you know? So I don't think that's a dig. I think that's just advice for anyone. If you're looking for a relationship, like get to know what people that you're hanging out with are passionate about, but just don't hold it against them if it's not something that you don't necessarily like to do. So anyway, I... Precisely. Yeah. We wish Clayton all the best. All the best. As in everybody who's on Bachelor
Starting point is 00:48:18 Nation, it's always I try to like look at everyone and think positively. But when you're saying certain things that don't necessarily make sense, we just have to like address. it, and then we can move on. Yeah. You know? You just should have been like, you know what, Rachel? This is going to be sloppy. Let's not do this.
Starting point is 00:48:40 It's going to be sloppy. Just say that. That's the honest answer. Like, there doesn't even have to be a reason. You're so right. There didn't have to be a reason. I think he was looking for a reason. And really, if your intuition is telling you that that's not the person, then that's
Starting point is 00:48:54 not the person. You don't have to have a reason. Well, I feel like Clayton probably got shit both ways. You know, he got shit now for a, saying she didn't go to the gym. He got shit for saying it was intuition. Yeah, right. Poor guy can't win.
Starting point is 00:49:07 He can't win. He can't win. Sorry, Clayton. This is always so fun with you, Trista. And I know that Ben is going to Italy soon. So you and I will probably be doing this again. And I can't wait for it. But until next time, I've been Ashley.
Starting point is 00:49:23 I've been Trista. Bye. Follow the Ben and Ashley I, almost famous podcast on IHartRadio, or subscribe, you listen to podcasts.
