Latin artists and celebrities.
You didn't have to audition? No, I didn't audition.

years. Oh, wow. That's a real
G-talk right there. Oh, yeah.
We'll talk about all that's viral

the great bibras you've come to expect.

on the IHeartRadio app,
Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast.
Let's start with a quick puzzle.
The answer is,
Ken Jennings' appearance on The Puzzler with A.J. Jacobs.
The question is,
what is the most entertaining listening experience in podcast land?
Jeopardy Truthers believe in,
I guess they would be conspiracy theorists.
That's right.
To give you the answers, and you still blew it.
The Puzzler. Listen on the IHeart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Everyone thinks they'd never join a cult.
But it happens all the time to people just like you.
And people just like us.
I'm Lola Blanc and I'm Megan Elizabeth.
We're the hosts of Trust Me, a podcast about cults, manipulation, and the psychology of belief.
Each week we talk to fellow survivors, former believers, and experts to understand why people get pulled in and how they get out.

This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcast with IHartRadio.
Hey, everyone. Welcome to the Almost a Miss podcast.
I'm joined by my co-host, my wonderful, beautiful, fantastic, outrageously talented.
I don't even have a hard time doing it.
You can't even do it.
It doesn't come naturally to you.
You're like, yeah, he's okay.
No, I do.
That was so natural.
I just came up with like five adjectives in a row.
That's very nice of you, Ashley.
Thank you.
You try to do, you try, you know, five adjectives in a row.
One, two, three, go.
Beautiful, kind, thrilling, shimmering.
Splendid.
Quickly love.
Okay.
See?
See?
It took you about.
15, 20 seconds. Now, I'm joined with Ben, obviously. He's my glorious, wonderful, beautiful,
kind co-host. And then I wanted to get our producer, Eason, up here earlier in the show,
because there are lots of things going on at IHeart that I thought we could start out the podcast
by talking about because it's just like a headlines-only podcast. So like, let's just like do a little
chat-chat. Easton is here because one, he is friends. He is friends. Just to let anybody out there
listening. I was not prepped for this. I'm a long to ride on this. Easton, if something is said
that is offensive, I'm sorry. I'm just going to be here for a bit. Okay. This is where I'm
going with it. A couple years ago, Easton asked us to do like a little cameo for his Easty
awards, which he does on Instagram every year. Easton, explain what the Easty Awards are. The Easty
awards. I started doing them years and years ago, but they're an award show that I host and I do
that recognize my favorite things. The categories are different every year. It's like, you know,
best nut of 2022 or like my favorite stovetop burner of the year, things like that. And since
Instagram Live has been a feature, I've done it on Instagram Live. And you guys have both
presented before. Yeah. So kind to do it.
And it's so great.
This is when I call in favors from all my podcast friends to come present an award.
And it's just a really fun thing that I do every year.
So what was the best nut of the year this year?
Well, almonds took it home this year.
A flavored almond or just a regular almond?
Just almond any way you cut it.
almond won overall.
I eat like 20 metric tons of almonds this year.
They're always on my mind.
so they had to win nut of the year in 2022.
Ammons are my go-to snack as well.
They can fill you up fast and they're satisfying.
It tastes real good.
You know what my favorite new almond is, like new to me that I can't stop eating?
Tommy.
Wasabi.
Those are great almonds.
They're so good.
They're so good.
Okay.
But I wanted to talk to you about the Easties because this year you really up the ante.
You've gone far and above Ben Higgins and Ashley Iconetti.
and you had Paris Hilton do like a very professionally shot intro for one of your categories
or for the ECs in general.
You real close to Paris these days, huh?
Well, I work on Paris's podcast and she, I, earlier, I've been working with her for like two years.
And this year I was like, I'm going to get her to do the ECs.
That's my goal.
I want to get like, you know, she's really cool and she's really nice.
But like, I'm going to get to the point where I'm comfortable enough to ask her
to do this. And, you know, later in the year, I asked and she was very down to do it.
I thought she was just going to, like, hold my phone and do a selfie video, but they, like,
put up the, like, lights. They did a whole camera thing. It was awesome. And I'm so grateful to Paris
for doing that, because it did increase the production, I think, a bit. Not that I don't want
you guys to do it every year. I just don't want to bother. You know, I try not to, like, every
year come hat and hand, go, hey, Ashley, could you do movie the year again?
we're here for you every year you want and i'm actually semi offended i haven't been asked back i wondered
what i do i think we've only been asked once too ben so he really tries to like get a variety
it's not you know i want to shout you guys out you guys did it the same year and this was before
on instagram live you can play videos and show pictures and stuff now back then you could not
i did not know that it's such a production now over at instagram live oh it's it's really it's quite
the platform but when you guys did it you had to join my live at a certain time and so i had it
was on new year's day and i had to like be texting you during the show like okay five-minute
warning and like yeah ben and jess were in bed together uh doing something unholy i'm sure and
uh ashley and jared were in the car driving from somewhere but you guys both phone did uh
and did it it was incredible i think ben you did fruit of the year and um and ashley and jared did
movie of the year one of my favorite memories and it was just so cool dean's done it like twice
um wells has done it dean has done it twice he asked dean back well you guys are gonna actually
next year we're planning on doing it in person at a venue and uh really i will be flying you both
out to do it then if you're up for it i've actually attended the easty awards but people don't
know i've i've been to the easty awards i've been on it once i've attended it once so when it was
that I heart studios.
Easton was there, and I sat in and watched a whole thing.
It was a nice party, some great people.
It was a big honor.
There's not a red carpet, but there was definitely a lot of excitement around their award show.
Easton, I will add, as we close this out, two things.
You take this very serious, as you should.
It's a great production, but you like to control this production, put a lot of effort into it.
People think this is just a really fun thing that you do, but you care about this.
I do.
It's, you know, it's something that is a big part of my soul, a big part of my heart.
And it's the biggest project I do all year.
And I know my wife wishes I would put a tenth of the effort I put in the Easties into anything around the house.
I'm looking at some shelves that need to be put up right now.
But no, you know what?
I'm working on a list of graphics and ideas for next year.
That's what I'm doing.
The final question I have for you, Easton, is if somebody wants to watch the Eastie Awards,
if they're listening to this and they're like, this sounds fun and a great way to spend my evening,
how can they tune in?
Well, if you go to my Instagram, it's at Easton Allen.
The full show is up there on a video.
And I've been posting the special guest presenters.
So you can see Paris.
You can see the cast of Boy Meets World.
Hell yeah.
These presenters are like, this should be on Fox.
Thank you. Thank you.
The cast appointments world, the country band Low Cash presented an award, and Tanya Rad from scrubbing in and from On Earth Rain Zichrist, presented an award as well.
And those are all up on my Instagram.
Fantastic. We're so happy for you, Easton.
Thank you so much.
This is not the only exciting thing happening possibly with you over at IHeart.

I listen to the first episode is fantastic
Well, what about Chris Harrison's podcast?
Are you doing that?
I am doing that one.
Okay, it's time to talk about Chris Harrison's podcast.
I think we should do it right after this break.
Imagine that you're on an airplane and all of a sudden you hear this.
Attention passengers.
The pilot is having an emergency and we need someone, anyone to land this plane.
Think you could do it?
It turns out that nearly 50% of men think that they could land the plane with the help of air traffic control.
And they're saying like, okay, pull this.
Do this, pull that, turn this.
It's just, I can do my eyes close.
I'm Manny.
I'm Noah.
This is Devon.
And on our new show, no such thing.
We get to the bottom of questions like these.
Join us as we talk to the leading expert on overconfidence.
Those who lack expertise lack the expertise they need to recognize that they lack expertise.
and then as we try the whole thing out for real wait what oh that's the run right i'm looking at
this thing listen to no such thing on the i heart radio app apple podcasts or wherever you get your
podcasts hi my name is enya umanzor and i'm drew phillips and we run a podcast called emergency

What would you do if one bad decision forced you to choose between a maximum security prison
or the most brutal boot camp designed to be hell on earth?
Unfortunately for Mark Lombardo, this was the choice he faced.
He said, you are a number, a New York State number, and we own you.
Shock incarceration, also known as boot camps, are short-term, highly regimented correctional programs
that mimic military basic training.
These programs aim to provide a shock of prison life, emphasizing strict discipline, physical training,
hard labor, and rehabilitation programs.
Mark had one chance to complete this program and had no idea of the hell awaiting
him the next six months.
The first night was so overwhelming
and you don't know who's next to you.
And we didn't know what to expect in the morning.
Nobody tells you anything.
Listen to shock incarceration on the IHeartRadio
app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever
you get your podcasts.
The Super Secret Festi Club
podcast season four is here.
And we're locked in.
That means more juicy cheesement.
Terrible love advice.
Evil spells to cast on your ex.
No, no, no, no. We're not doing that this season.
Oh, well, this season we're leveling up.
Each episode will feature a special bestie and you're not going to want to miss it.
Get in here!
Today we have a very special guest with us.
Our new super secret bestie is The Diva of the People.
The Diva of the People.
I'm just like text your ex.
My theory is that if you need to figure out that the stove is hot, go and touch it.
Go and figure it out for yourself.
Okay.
That's us.
That's us.
My name is Curley.
And I'm Maya.
In each episode, we'll talk about love, friendship, heartbreaks, men, and, of course, our favorite secrets.
Listen to the Super Secret Bestie Club as a part of the My Cultura podcast network available on the IHart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Hi, I'm Christine Taylor.
And I'm David Lashor.
David and I starred in a little show in the 90s called Hey Dude.
And now we're teaming up once again as the host of a new IHeart podcast, Hey Dude, the
90s called. Do you remember the Motorola flip phone? Do you remember going to Blockbuster? Do you remember
Nintendo 64? Do you remember getting frosted tips? Was that a cereal? No, it was hair. Do you remember
AOL instant messenger and the dial-up sound like poltergeist? Do you remember when we dated? Okay, save that
for the podcast. We're going to use Hey Dude as our jumping off point, but we are going to unpack and dive back
into the decade of the 90s. We lived it, and now we're calling on all of our friends to come back and
relive it. Each episode will rival the feeling of taking out the cartridge from your Game Boy,
blowing on it and popping it back in as we take you back to the 90s. So listen to Hey Dude,
The 90s called on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to podcasts.
So, Easton, Chris Harrison makes his big, like, debut back into the public with this other
Amy Sugarman Mindcraft of his podcast.
which is called the most dramatic podcast ever with Chris Harrison.
It's actually going to be a relationship podcast.
But the first episode, which is our first headline of the week,
Chris spent this whole first episode talking about just, you know,
the fact that he's pretty much been like in hiding for two years
since the infamous extra interview with Rachel Lindsay.
Now we hear from Chris.
You were there for the first moment.
Was it via Zoom or was it in person that he recorded?
It was in person.
We went to an undisclosed location in the Northern California area.
Oh, really?
We did it out of town.
We went to neutral ground.
And we recorded it in a home.
I brought my mobile equipment.
And that was my first time meeting Chris.
I have been in the same room with him a number of times.
I've never actually met him before.
So that was pretty exciting.
And I mean, I'm not a,
I'm not a Bachelor fan.
I don't really watch the show.
I just work on these podcasts.
But let me tell you, like, hearing his voice and, like, setting the microphone up on him gave me chills.
It was really, that was really exciting.
And, and, like, you know, he's such a pro.
Like, he does, like, the 5, 4, 3.
It doesn't say two or one, because he's a pro.
Oh, crap.
That makes me so not a pro.
I go, one, two, three.
Go.
But, you know, I was really interested in what he had to say because this has just been such an emotionally significant part of, you know, watching The Bachelor of what happened with him.
And I was really curious what, you know, because I haven't heard from him. I haven't heard his perspective on anything.
So I was really interested in what he had to say.
And I thought that he handled those first two episodes really well.
I think he, you know, he took responsibility.
He explained what happened and he explained how he's been dealing with it
over the last few months, years.
I don't know.
Time moves differently now.
And I think it's going to be a really interesting show.
And I'm just really excited for people to hear him in this way.
You know, like now he has, it's not just him like greeting people as they pull up in a limousine.
This is like an hour plus of him.
just talking and something we haven't really gotten from him before. And I think people are really
going to like it if they listen. Ashley, have you listened to the episodes? I haven't listened
yet. It did come out yesterday. I've got to listen to it. Did you? I have. I've listened to both.
So I want to talk with Easton a little bit because he obviously got to hear both of these.
You know, it's been no secret. And he actually, Ashley is kind enough. Chris is to call us out in
his episode, his second episode, and say, thank you to Ben and Ashley for having my back,
for supporting me, for caring about me through this. It's very nice. And he does it with a lot of
people and kind of runs through a list. But, you know, it's been no secret. And I will never hide
that I consider Chris Harrison, not only somebody that has walked me through some very weird times.
I'm going to say difficult, just weird, life-changing times. And he's walked alongside me very closely
when he doesn't necessarily need to. He doesn't get paid for it. It's not a part of his job.
He's a good friend. He's also golfing buddy. Like next week, as I mentioned last week, we're going to be
golfing at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions in Orlando, Florida together alongside
Wells Adams. The three of us are playing in a group, I'm assuming on Monday or on Thursday of next week.
You can tune in to watch it on the golf channel and NBC. Okay. Well, um, so he's a, he's a friend of
mine. He's a mentor in a lot of ways. He's given me some life advice that I share often to this day.
He shared life advice with me one day. We're at a bar and I said, Chris, I don't know how to do this
thing. Like, I don't know what's next for me. This is after I got let go on Caitlin's season. And he
called me down for a drink that night. And he said, let's just hang out. And he said, hey, I think you're,
you could be the next bachelor. And I said, that's wild. That's weird. And he goes, but how are you
going to handle it? I don't know, man. This has all been so much so quickly. And he goes,
here's the advice that I want you to take with you. He goes, use this. And you've heard me say it
before. He said, use this to enhance the life you already had, not change your life completely.
And I've taken that with me almost every day of my life. And every decision I make and any
opportunity I accept or don't accept, it's who was I before. And is this enhancing who I was before
and adding some spice to life? Or is it changing who I was completely.
making me run after things that I've never thought I wanted to run after, no dreams that I
ever wanted to pursue, and does it hurt relationships that I had before the show because I've
changed and changed not in a good way. And so I love Chris Harrison. And I will always stand behind him
as a friend because that's what friends do. I saw Sean Lowe say that yesterday, and I agree.
Friends standby friends. Okay. So here's my point. Here's the question I have for Easton.
You know, Easton, as a host of The Bachelor, we don't get to see Chris Harrison. We see a very
polished a very professional, you know, necktie, suit, delivering lines, like you said, greeting
people. There's a lot of depth to Chris. And I do think, and I do know that the events that
happened a year ago, two years ago, whenever that was, he is very sorry for, and you can hear
his own words explain that through this podcast in these two episodes. I know it did affect him
deeply and he cares deeply about that. But there's a lot of wisdom also to Chris and just
what he's seen in his life. Can you give us a little teaser about maybe seeing a less
polished version of Chris Harrison? I mean, he's cussing on this podcast, right? There's bleeps
that we never saw during The Bachelor. I love it when Chris, I love it when it Chris curses because
it seems out of character just based on what you see on the show, but it's not out of character.
Yeah, so tease us on what you think we're going to expect. I mean, obviously, you've only seen these
first two episodes that are going to be very different than the show itself. The show is about
relationships. The show is about digging in and helping people walk through relationships.
The first two episodes are really kind of his story over the last few years, alongside his
fiance Lawrence. What could we get excited about moving forward?
I think that, like you said, when you see Chris Harrison on television, he's the host.
This is a polished, you know, most of everything he's saying is rehearsed. It is a very,
like segmented thing he's doing. This is a very vulnerable side of Chris Harrison. And you can hear that,
you can hear that in his voice when he relives some of those moments from the last year. And I think as
we move forward, and he has to talk about this event first. But as we move forward and we hear
his take on relationships, what it means to love and to find a partner, I think people are going to
really enjoy and learn a lot from from what he has to share and again the vulnerability that he's
going to put out there he's doing this in his house just like by himself or with Lauren you know
and I think bearing of the soul is what I what I felt in those moments in that first couple
episodes and I think that's what people are going to really take away from this show
Is Lauren going to be his permanent co-host?
I'm not sure.
I don't think so.
Definitive no, I'm getting, I'm hearing in my headset, I get to know.
No, she won't be, but she's in the second episode and, and she's great.
Let me tell you, it's, it's great doing a podcast with two trained broadcasters.
That was a delightful experience for me as a producer.
Did you have to edit not that much?
Don't have to edit that much.
And also, we sent Chris, oldest, a quick.
And I was like, I set aside like an afternoon to like video chat with him and get it set up.
And I get him on the phone.
He's like, hey, it's all plugged in.
You ready to go?
And I'm like, yes.
This man, he gets it.
I like these people.
You know, a few thoughts why we still have Easton here on the first two episodes because
this is obviously a big topic within Bachelor Nation is the most dramatic podcast of all time.
It has now peaked in the top 10 of all podcasts after two episodes.
That's a big deal.
It's not easy to do. Obviously, people were excited to hear from Chris again, or as Chris said it, I think curious to hear from him again. Maybe they don't exactly, you know, they're not, you know, moving on and they still hold some resentment towards Chris, but they're curious to hear what he has to say. And I think a lot of people also are excited about hearing Chris's voice again and hearing his heart. You know, there's a lot of emotion in this podcast. There are a lot of emotion in this podcast. There are a lot of,
lot of crackly voices. There are some tears. I was reading through the comments, a lot of support.
I mean, a ton of support. Ninety-nine percent support for the show and excited to hear where the
show goes. But there was these questions of, you know, is it fake? Like, they are professionals.
Are these tears just for the audience? Are they made up for the time? Easton, can you speak to that
a little bit? Did you feel like the emotion that was being displayed and communicated in the podcast?
It was real emotion. Absolutely. 100% real.
to the point where like, you know, we did have to take a breather, you know, in this episode
because it was getting so intense. Very, very real. And, you know, Chris like doesn't, like,
you know, he's not like trying to like, I don't think he wants to become like the host again
or anything, you know, like he just wants to tell his story. He doesn't have to do this.
So like, I don't know. I've seen rehearsed here.
those are real my friends
those are real
that was real emotion
in those episodes
and I think
we're going to get more of that
as we continue on with this show
yeah I didn't feel like in the episode
he was trying to persuade me as the listener
in any direction more than just
tell his side of the story
not any
you know I don't think I think it's really a fine line
there to play the victim and not play
the victim to be the victor
or the victim in this
I didn't feel like he played the victim.
And obviously, I'm biased here.
I want to make it clear again.
I'm very biased because I get to see Chris and hang out with him.
I felt like he wanted to share his side of the story that, hey, he was sorry, but also
people were speaking for him.
Media was speaking for him.
Stories are being created around him that he had no part in.
And it kind of blew this thing up to a very uncontrollable situation that nobody could
kind of navigate and manage.
And now we get to hear Chris.
for hopefully, you know, for hopefully most, the Chris they remember that Chris they grew up
listening to and watching on television. I also want to close and saying a little kudos to Amy
Sugarman. He did give a shout out to Amy and said, hey, my friend and I, who is in this room
with me right now talked and she told me it was time. It was time for me to start speaking,
start to tell my story. And Chris trusted her in that. That's, you know, Chris is one of the most
famous, recognizable people in the United States of America. And this has obviously been a long time
of him staying quiet, of him staying silent, of him kind of getting life back in order. And as he
said, life has been really good for him. But then he trusted our producer and our creator of this
podcast, Amy, as we talk about, to for this next chapter in his life. And I think that's a big
compliment to Amy and who she is and how much trust people have in her. And, and, and, and,
also what she can create.
And so I want to give that little shout out to her
because she's obviously behind this
and building her own little podcast dynasty
alongside Almost Famous.
So great, very intriguing first two episodes.
I did listen and there's a lot of stuff in there I learned
even after hearing the story, you know, from Chris myself.
Well, actually, I want to flip headlines this week
because, you know, Easton, you were there for the headline
creating. And Ben, you have listened to the podcast. So I want you guys to discuss these. So it's
not just me quoting. Okay. The first headline is Chris Harrison wanted Wells Adams to replace him
as Bachelor host. There's a lot about Nick in here, too, that made headlines. Is the fact
that he thought that Nick Viall was the one that was trying to get the spot the most out of
anyone. But please explain how this conversation went on the podcast. And you probably know,
firsthand from Wells as well.
Yeah.
Wells as well.
Well, I mean, I think for most Bachelor fans,
they expected somebody, you know,
especially after the Caitlin and Tasha seasons,
that people were, I felt like, still enjoying.
They were starting to get used to maybe not the host,
but the mentor roles that Caitlin and Tasia were doing
during the Bachelor's seasons.
And then when the hosting job came up,
I think a lot of people thought, well, Wells is a very clear choice. He's a professional host.
What people don't maybe know about Wells's past life is he as a career was a host in Nashville on
radio. He has done TV. He is doing TV today and doing it very successfully, may I say. But I think
Bachelor Nation loves Wells. They do. He is funny. He is also a lot more.
I don't want to say. He's just not as like, you know, polished. We keep saying,
polished seems like the right word as maybe a past host. He would bring a different flare.
He has crude jokes. He's very witty. He has jokes that don't land and he has jokes that land
really well. And we would see that kind of goofy, quirky side during the show. And so I think
people are like, hey, this makes sense. I would want to watch Wells on television. It's a good
replacement. And I think Jesse's done a great job replacing Chris. I do. I have nothing negative to say
about Jesse. It was just kind of out of nowhere for a lot of people. It was unexpected. It was not who
they thought. And so Chris did say, hey, there are people. He kind of went through the timeline and
people can listen to the episode to get the full recap. He went through the timeline that, you know,
even on season three, after season three of the Bachelorette, he was sitting in a party with
past Bachelorette. She said, I should host a Bachelorette.
to one of the executive producers of the show in front of Chris.
And Chris is like, you know, that's my job.
And so he kind of goes through this whole thing of, you know,
one of the weird parts about The Bachelor and hosting The Bachelor is you know you're
creating a bunch of people every year that want your job, that think they can have your job,
that people are going to tell them they should have your job.
And so when he was removed from the show or whatever happened, he resigned from,
I don't know the details there.
the job was open, and he felt like, you know, some of the cast members kind of all saw blood in the water.
They were saying, okay, Chris is removed. Hey, I might feel terrible about that. I might not like it. Maybe I do like it. Whatever side I'm on. But now there's a job opening. I'm going after it. And he said that, you know, when he talked to Wells, he knew Wells's name was in consideration. And he thought Wells would have been a great host. So that was his story. He thought that made a lot of sense. In fact, he
believes well should have been the host that replaced him. With others, he kind of mentioned that
there was blood in the water and people were going after his job, like kind of immediately. That's
when he mentioned Nick. That's why the headline says that Nick was going after his job because
he knew that Nick was going after his job. As soon as that was open, door was open, some people
ran through it. And he does call that out during the show. Does he say like how he was going after
the job? I don't know. He doesn't. I mean, I'm assuming Chris knew that Nick had called the people
in power and said, hey, I want this job. I should have this job. I'm assuming that's all Chris knows. I
don't know if anybody would know the behind the scenes conversations that existed. But I think the
point of that conversation for Chris was just saying, hey, it was a weird time where people that I
also consider friends and people that came through the show, maybe that I don't know well.
we're kind of not I don't I don't want this to sound bad because I see Chris says it's
Hollywood like this is what you do there's a job opening you go after I don't know if it's a
negative it's just taking advantage of the opportunity while at the same time Chris was like
yeah I was also losing the job that I cared so much about and it was a really weird
balance of how do I feel like what emotions do I like can I expect should I be experiencing
during this anger frustration excitement for them
confusion. No, excitement for them is not come naturally. Maybe and that's and that's kind of the
point of that was like it was a very, exactly. So Chris's point I think was it's a, it was a very confusing
time mentally to understand how things were playing out. But then he says, yeah, but through all this,
I thought, you know, and Wells and him are buddies and Wells called him and kind of had laid out,
hey, you know, how do you want me to navigate this? And Chris had told, you know, some of us like,
stay quiet, you know, don't protect me in this. This is my thing. This is not yours. And so Wells,
and then he, you know, he's told Wells like, hey, if you get a job offer, I'm not mad at you for that.
I don't hold any resentment towards that. Okay. Did he, you just mentioned that he like doesn't go
into detail whether he was fired or stepped down. Is that correct? I can't remember. If he did,
was a very small piece of the show, but I don't think he did. I imagine it, even in that,
there's a lot of nuance and complexity of how that process worked. I don't remember him
mentioning kind of the ending. Okay. He does talk about writings having gone down. And I'll,
I will quote this. Yeah, go ahead and read the headlines. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. So the next headline is
Chris Harrison was scared after controversial bachelor exit. He received death threats, lost 20
pounds and couldn't sleep. He said that things spun out of control for a number of reasons.
He was sick, six, six. He was stomach, stomach, lost 20 pounds, didn't sleep, didn't eat,
scared of death. It was one gut punch after an other. Mentally and physically, he just felt
like he was deteriorating. He said it wasn't easy having people to tell me, die, kill yourself.
Yeah, let's pause there. People were that horrible. Yeah.
You know, this is, and Lauren Zima comes on and speaks to it, it's, it's part of
the internet. Even before we started recording day, some of us on this podcast are talking about
what the internet is like. You go on Reddit, you go on Instagram. People like to be negative.
It's a very odd thing. People like to be mean to others. I am very confused by it, probably
always will be. I don't understand why that is a motivation or why that gets people off and
gives them their jollies for the day is when they make somebody else feel worse about them.
self. All this is true that they mentioned, you know, again, there is a behind the scenes of this.
This is not, this is a podcast, but there has been a good amount of time between the events
that happened and now there, you know, people were threatening the life of them saying they
should die. There was a lot of physical and emotional pain that Lauren and Chris went through.
And all that is true. It is not just a story they're telling. It is a story they're telling. It is
very true. And I also thought it was, you know, for anybody out there listening who was
also experienced bowling and these things online, I think it's a most of us that exist on
social media at any level can, or in high school or middle school, can relate with this. And
then you have a grown man sitting next to his fiance, you know, talking about these same
things and there's a lot of emotion around it. I think it's, it's very relatable. And it's, it's
very difficult. And if there's one thing that comes from it, my question to anybody that was very
negative is why to anybody? Like, why would you ask anybody else to, you know, kill themselves
or to harm themselves? It doesn't make sense. So if you're one of those people doing it,
one, I don't know if you should be listening to this podcast. Two, I was going to say,
I can't imagine those people listening to this podcast. No, I don't think they are. But it's just
confusing. And it's, it's frustrating that we treat each other like that. Okay, continue on because
he does talk about ratings and the ratings okay so he says he doesn't watch a show anymore but he does
keep an eye on the ratings because human interest right when i left it was still the number one show
on tv which i mean it was the number one show on mondays in that time slot always amongst that
demographic i would say it's probably always monday's number one show on regular tv right um i i think
it was still number one on tv it was it was not the number one show on tv
I think on the main networks, I do believe it still was because you also have to remember
this is COVID and nobody was coming out with new content. So that season got a lot of
viewership. Okay. Well, we'll have to like check that. But let's go with it. It was a very popular
show. The ratings were good even though yes, they were slipping over time. He said,
now look, do I keep an eye on the ratings currently? Do I know what's happening now? I'm not
going to say I'm not so humble or whatever to have not paid attention to the scoreboard.
Yes, I do know. I realize the ratings are down 50 to 60 percent and the show has changed
dramatically. That hurts me a little bit because it's something I took pride in building.
It's very interesting and wonderful sold of him if he does say, if he truly means that
he is hurt by the declining ratings.
after he left.
Because I do think that if I were in his position,
I probably wouldn't be as good of a person to be hurt by it.
I'd probably be like, ha, ha, ha, ha, serves you right.
You know, this is what the show is without me.
I think you would take a little pride in knowing that the show isn't the same
and people have shown disinterest in it since him leaving.
But, you know, if he's hurt, wow, better person than I.
Well, and I think a lot of that comes from, you know,
our, the conversations I've been able to have with him, there's, for 20 years, there were people
that worked on that show for 20 years. A lot of those people became really good friends of his,
a lot like family. You got to see that during your time on the shows, from audio, visual,
the producers, when you work so closely with people, you travel with people, you're going out
to eat with people, and you're doing it so many months of the year, you become very close with
them. And so I think he is hurt. Maybe, I mean, I don't want to speak for Chris. I know he says for the show,
I think if I was to make the assumption, I have no clue. I think he's very hurt for the people
working on the show that he knows that the show is not doing what it once did and that those people
are family to him. And that, you know, the brand of The Bachelor, he does still feel a lot of ownership
in because he helped build that, you know, most of us. I would also say I would add in,
here. I'm adding in my assumptions. When I heard Chris speak to this, one, I was surprised he even
said it. But I do think it showed a level of honesty during the show and kind of that he was
willing to say things that maybe people weren't expecting him to say that he still watches
the ratings. Chris is one of the most competitive men I've ever met in my life. He is competitive
at every level. He does not like to lose. He wants to win. And there's no better example of that than
when we play golf. He becomes a human that is almost impossible to be. I would like to say it's
just because he has that presence about him, but he's also very skilled. I imagine looking at the
ratings as the competitive side of him, too, to say, okay, like, you know, I'm getting some value.
Maybe I won in a way. Like, I have some value to the show that maybe they didn't recognize,
or maybe they did recognize, but they didn't realize how much value I had. Like, there's some
competitiveness there. So obviously he was going to watch ratings. You know, he had so much invested
into the success of that show. So I'm going to, as a friend, I will go as far as to say,
I would imagine that's the competitive side of him. He wasn't willing to say that, but I, I,
Okay. All right. Well, moving on from Chris Harrison, which if you want more of this interview,
and it is over, it's about two hours long of him just talking these first two episodes,

If you haven't gotten to the bottom of why you...
you were racking up credit or turning to credit cards, you may just recreate the same problem
a year from now. When you do feel like you are bleeding from these high interest rates, I would
start shopping for a debt consolidation loan, starting with your local credit union, shopping around
online, looking for some online lenders because they tend to have fewer fees and be more affordable.
Listen, I am not here to judge. It is so expensive in these streets. I 100% can see how in just a few
months you can have this much credit card debt when it weighs on you it's really easy to just like stick your head in the sand it's nice and dark in the sand even if it's scary it's not going to go away just because you're avoiding it and in fact it may get even worse for more judgment free money advice listen to brown ambition on the i heart radio app apple podcast or wherever you get your podcast the super secret bestie club podcast season four is here and we're locked in that means more juicy cheesme terrible love advice evil spells to cast

I'll take back over headlines here.
I did watch the first episode of this.
You did?
Very, very interesting.
So caught up. You're doing such a good job, doing your job. I feel like I'm failing now. I haven't listened to the two Chris podcasts. I haven't watched this. But it was on my to do list to watch Hannah Brown on, what's the name of the show?
Stronger than I think I am. Special forces. No, special forces. Special forces. Special forces. World's toughest test. Colon, stronger than I think I am. Okay. So here's my take on the first episode. I really enjoyed it. And I don't enjoy reality television too much. I don't watch it. It is not.
something that's usually on my television. I tuned into this, and I was like in it. I will say
Hannah Brown does not play a massive role in the first episode. She is as a minor character.
Dwight Howard kind of takes over because it's his storyline. There's a few other storylines that are
shared. I imagine also Hannah will have a bigger storyline because she's stuck around. There's a lot
of people that left. Oh, you get eliminated or you eliminate yourself? You kind of eliminate
yourself because it's so freaking hard. I mean, it looks brutal, Ash. Like, I'm not going to give
away anything. I think people would enjoy watching it. It is different television. There's some,
you know, corny, goofy parts to it. But for the most part, man, I was in it. So here's the headline.
how Hannah Brown's return to reality TV proved she's stronger than I think I am.
Yeah, okay. So she says, it's a competition within yourself. I've gone through such a crazy
time in my life and I was really trying to heal and grow. And I felt like this show will be a really
good way to challenge myself in all the work that I had done. She said that the living conditions
were the hardest part. And that she was, they were all giving.
given a box that had three pairs of underwear, two bras, and they had two sets of clothes
for the entire time, a bar soap, a toothbrush. So to everybody who complains about the living
conditions in paradise, they're going to have to go on this show next. She said that they
were on the tiniest cots all in a tent outside the Jordanian desert, going to the bathroom
and buckets with a piece of plywood in between us that kept our heads out. The
entire time. So you think the privacy situation in paradise in the bathrooms with just like a little
shower curtain is bad? This sounds way worse. She goes, it's not a beauty pageant at all. I'm honestly
terrified to see what I look like the entire time. It truly feels like you're fighting for your
life at all times. I was just in discomfort the entire time. And she also said that the show has
taught her how much stronger she is and she thought she was and that she's come a long way even
when it feels like you can't take anymore she said there's always this extra gear that we all
have i would i would say hannah brown is probably extremely competitive i don't think that girl
likes to lose i mean if you look at her beauty pageants beauty pageants if you look at dancing with the
stars if you look at her time on the bachelorette i would not be shocked if hannah brown
wins this show because I have a feeling there is a there is something inside of that person
um that refuses to lose at anything um which is something I admire that I think um is like that
instinct um that you're either born with or you are you aren't uh and she's tough through this
she's such a tough cookie though you can just tell is this the kind of show that you as just being
you, you know, like who, you can, like, rough it. I know you can. Is this a kind of show that you
would like, I want to do it. I do it for free? Or is this a kind of show, like, for me, it's like,
how much are you paying me? There's parts of it that I feel like I would really enjoy. You know,
the cot sleeping, the cold back, I don't mind. In fact, you know, I do think that brings some
some grit out in you and you become a different human when you really break things down and you
take away the luxuries and you get simple again.
The bathroom situation is tough.
I mean, there's scenes of these people like puking because it's so gross.
I could do it and I don't have a lot of shame in like in those situations.
And so I just I just kind of go with it.
And if we're all in it together, we're doing it together.
Here's the parts that I have a hard time with.
The challenges, you know, as I've gotten older, Ash, I've gotten mentally weak when it comes
to like heights.
and, you know, laying, you know, going underneath the water and feeling claustrophobic.
Like, those things for whatever reason have become big parts of my life where I feel claustrophobic.
I'm scared of heights.
Like, I don't know what's going on.
I would have a hard time with that.
I think those parts would be where I would like, yeah, you should pay me to come on this show if you want me on this show.
Everything else, the living situation, lack of showering.
Kind of sounds fun to me.
I thought it might.
But the challenges are hard.
the challenges are, I was watching these challenges and watching the previews for the next
episode. And those challenges, I'm like, my goodness. Like, they are putting these people
through it. Like, there is no, they're not holding back. Like, these are, and this is not
fear factor. Like, I feel like this takes a step up on fear factor. Really? Oh, yeah. Ash,
you got to watch it. You're not taking a bath in tarantulas. Good point. Um, no, you're not. You're just
not taking a bath at all. So, you know, it is what it is. But you should watch it. I think
people would enjoy watching. I think our almost famous listeners would be intrigued by the show.
It does bring people out in a different light. And there's a lot of emotion. You know, I think
one of the parts I enjoyed most about this show. And what I enjoy when The Bachelor and Bachelor
are good is you can see it in the eyes of the contestants that they don't want to be doing what
they're doing, but they either, one, feel like they need to be. Like, it's going to make them
a better human. It's going to bring out some courage inside of them. Or they feel like, hey,
they need to stick around and get paid for it. Either way, they're doing it. And, like, there's
fear and emotion and tears in the eyes of these contestants, men and women. And that's why you
had somebody drop off because they're just like, I can't handle what I'm feeling right now.
You've got me really excited to watch this show now.
It sounds like a group date, though.
It makes me worried that it's going to seem like one of those relay race group dates.
Trust me, there's no romance going on on this show.
Well, is that going to bore me?
No, no, you're going to be fine.
You're going to be fine.
All right.
Next headline is this.
It's a big one.
Caitlin Bristow and Jason Tartick.
They be bunk breakup rumors and Bachelor Nation reacts.
Okay.
So since they've gotten.
in May 2021, everybody has always been like, are they or are not?
Somebody responded to a recent Q&A that Caitlin did on Instagram and said,
you and Jason are 100% and not working out.
And then she replied with a video of Jason kissing her on the cheek and wrote,
Your math ain't math in.
And then she goes, she captioned it.
I'm engaged to a numbers guy.
You can't fool me.
And then lots of, you know, Jason responded by saying,
leave us alone, Karen.
Basically nothing to see you, but she's good as she's like, you know,
fans are saying stuff like trolls are going to troll.
People said that my marriage wouldn't love because of my wedding dress or like,
I'm so sorry that you have to go through this, sending you positive vibes and lots of love.
Caitlin and Jason are still together.
Yeah, it's good that they are together.
And speaking of wedding days,
Serena Pitt and Joe share their priorities for their wedding day.
So the two are answering some fan questions. Again, Q&A on Instagram. And they're talking about priorities for their wedding. So obviously a priority is for it to be personal and different. Every couple, this is like a Q&A with their wedding planner. And things to think about for his guest experiences. They want their friends, of course, to have super fun, memorable experience, good food, good drinks, good music. And as people,
who work in the social media space.
It's very important, you know,
basically to have photos and videos turn out well.
One fan asked Serena about the wedding plan process,
how it's been going.
And she said it's going great.
It's definitely overwhelming.
It can be a little stressful.
But she said, shout out to the wedding planner,
Christine, for helping it through them,
helping them through that.
And they've toured two wedding venues.
It doesn't look like it's set on a wedding.
They haven't set a wedding venue yet.
But it's coming.
And it's sometime in the year.
So that's very exciting.
It is exciting.
A lot of love in the air.
And our final wedding headline, a lot of love headlines today, which is great.
But our final wedding headline is Brandon Jones reveals when he and Serene are getting married.
Plus, if he'd suggest going on Bachelor Nation shows.
Okay, first off, they're living together in San Diego, which is very exciting.
And again, on Instagram question and answer, this is their responses.
Somebody asked Brandon his favorite quality about serene, and then he said her contagious laugh,
um, said the most important things to look for in a relationship.
He says, is communication and patience.
And then what keeps their relationship feeling special?
He says, it's all about the little things, the little things that make big, big things.
the little things make the big thing so special and surprise ice skating works too that's very cute
and then somebody asked if you know like you just said should he go on the show like would you
recommend going on the show and he said i absolutely would it was some of the best moments of my life
and of course the biggest you know most important thing here is had they picked a wedding date
somebody asked and he said that they have picked a date in 2024 wow
Wow. Let's go.
Amazing.
That's amazing. Good for them.
A lot of love in the air.
Well, we are getting closer and closer to the next season of The Bachelor.
Our Bachelor, Zach, is obviously out there doing some media runs.
And his cast has now been introduced to us.
If you want a very unprofessional, very uneducated breakdown of the cast,
you can go back and listen to our last episode
where we go through every cast member.
Where they're from, what they're doing,
what we think they're going to be like.
It's probably all wrong.
None of it's going to be right.
That's okay.
We just do it for fun.
But you should go back and look at the cast
and listen to our episode.
So here's the big announcement.
Kind of came under the radar this week
in Bachelor Nation News,
but I think it's a fairly intriguing headline.
Zach the Bachelor.
It's hopeful.
Zach the Bachelor,
one of his hopefuls,
reveals she's divorced
through casting announcement.
In quotes,
it says,
hard launch.
I watched this,
Ashley.
This is wild.
The Bachelor continues to get wild.
This is one of the wild ones.
Okay.
This is really funny.
So one of the girls that we broke out,
of course,
last week,
you said that she was like,
scary.
You said that you were very,
timid by her.
Victoria got on her own TikTok last week.
And this is how she announced to like her friends and family, I'm supposing, and basically
all Bachelor Nation, that she is divorced.
She goes, hard launch, I'm divorced, tune into my second chance of at love on The Bachelor,
premieres on January 23rd.
This is not on The Bachelor's TikTok.
It is on her personal TikTok.
So she is like, got.
her hand on her face in front of her like bachelor casting card with like all of her info and
her her official photo and uh yeah so she's telling everyone i'm divorced and she said it to a song
the song she said it to was like one of the tictox sounds where it's like i just want my ex to know
that i'm living a better life without him and now she's on the bachelor goodness gracious well
it's gonna be something to watch yeah yeah it's gonna be something to watch
It did make headlines this week.
Oh, my.
Well, I hope she finds love on The Bachelor.
Her second chance, I hope this is a great chance.
And if not, like most contestants, soon after the show,
you typically get your third shot at love or whatever you want to call it.
And you do find somebody.
A lot of people do meet their special partner following up from the show,
which we hope for everybody.
All right.
Final headline is this.
Bachelorette Katie Thurston
sparks romance rumors
with The Circles
Nick Ulanhuth
I don't know who this is
I don't watch that show
so if I said it wrong I apologize
but you know what I'm talking about
after John Hersey split
Basically
they've been seen in several
Instagram posts together
in like group formats
So we'll keep an eye on it
But other than that, but we don't have like anything besides that.
There's like some New Year's pictures, right?
Well, there are some pictures, yes, from New Year's.
And it seems like the fans have done some digging.
And it looks like they're kissing in one of the pictures.
But neither those pictures made it to one of the feed.
So it's like people who fought like it's like people who were there that were also posting.
Yeah.
But like Katie and this guy Nick both have not posted any canoodling on their Instagram.
Yeah.
So we don't know the extent to it.
Right? Was this just a nice little New Year's kiss? Like a little makeout at the bar.
Everybody's, you know, excited about the new year coming around. Or is this an actual romance
that we need to keep your eyes on. We'll keep following out. Any new headlines. Yeah, we'll follow it.
