This is the Ben and Ashley I, Almost Famous Podcast with IHart Radio.
Hey guys, welcome to the Almost Famous Podcast.
Today, we have someone very scary, someone so evil.
No, I'm being kidding. I'm being kidding.
I sound like my toddler now.
I'm being kidding.
no i'm just joking she was a bachelor villain and now she's on house of villains on e it is
victoria larsen from mad james's season victoria welcome to the almost famous podcast thank you no
thank you for having me on actually my favorite um episode of the bachelor was the one when you guest
toasted that was so fun that was your favorite of the season yeah because that was such like a turning point
in the house. I think all the girls were having so much fun that episode. And yeah, I loved that one.
I found you to be very intimidating. I'm so sorry. I have a strong energy. I have Scorpio Rising.
I remember Scorpio Rising. My husband's a Scorpio. So I understand all about the Scorpio energy.
Yeah. But I have a cancer moon. So I'm actually really emotional. But I'm very intimidating.
Sorry about that. Well, you were intimidating to a lot of the girls, probably why you became.
the villain. Why do you, why do you think that you were intimidating on the show besides your
sign? Definitely I was intimidating. I wanted to stand out and it was so hard at first being the
villain but I'm grateful it led me to something else. But yeah, I can definitely, I, I walk in a
room and people know I'm there for sure. The little little secret. I also hosted a date that
season that Victoria was on. Oh yeah, you did. Yeah.
we had like a squirrel hunt or something weird yeah it was like an obstacle course that was a fun day too
ben your squirrel hunt wasn't as memorable as writing erotica we wrote erotica yeah no i i take no
so far in this conversation i know nothing about scorpios or anything like that um and i just heard
that ashley was victoria's favorite guest host and so i'm coming in from a different angle victoria obviously
we're going to talk about this new show that you're on.
It is an opportunity that you were granted because of how you were known from The Bachelor.
However, has there ever been a moment where you didn't want to be the villain?
I mean, the villain obviously now is something that has benefited you, I guess you can say.
But has there been a moment where you're like, I don't want to be this person?
Yeah, well, I have to say first, like, I apologize.
I forgot you were a host because when you're filming The Bachelor, like, you're so focused on one guy.
I'm like, Matt, the only guy that was there.
Like, you forget even any other guys that are around.
And I'm forgetable.
It's fine.
I get it.
I live my life.
I'm very easy to forget.
And I remember Ashley because we had a little piff.
Yeah.
I have no idea what it was about.
I think it was a little bit producer-driven on my end.
Yeah.
So, yeah, did I ever not want to be the villain?
absolutely because part of being a villain is like you're misunderstood so I think as a human
of course you want to be understood and like I do really have a kind heart so that was hard to
be perceived in such like a hateful way and then it was very hard the online um
reaction to everything which I was thinking like you guys kind of had a maybe cooler experience
because online was so different when you guys filmed
right probably a little less invasive yeah very much very much different because we were like i was
respectively the first female season and the the male season right here that had any sort of big
social media gains yeah yeah and i think well i don't know i just social media was such a weird
time during covid which is when my season was and i feel like people had so much extra free time
and like everyone was online
so it was like
that was when I was like
I don't want to be a villain
and also when it was like
you know my family watches the show
like Bachelor is such a
integrative part of so many people's lives
that I was like oh fuck
like I didn't like that it affected
people in my life
to be as a villain
but me I'm like
you know I have a big mouth
I like speaking my mind
so that part
I also appreciate that
I got to know, okay, that is who I am and that's okay, like even if people think it's a villain.
It's interesting with the show and I think listeners are always intrigued.
And you can correct me, but if we were sitting down when I want to, you kind of owned the villain title.
I mean, in a sense on the show, you knew that controversy was being caught.
There was chaos surrounding your relationships, especially.
with the other women.
And you just said, I'm going to lean in.
This is who I am, like it or not.
And I think a lot of people respect that, but you didn't want to hurt people.
I'm not saying that in the sense also that.
So my question to you is how, like from a listener standpoint who watches the show,
like how does one, in the midst of the chaos and the controversy while you're on the show,
how did you just take a breath of fresh air and say, I don't want to hurt people,
but this is who I am,
and I probably am going to be the villain of this season,
and I'm going to be okay with that.
Well, during filming,
and, like, I really didn't think I was going to be the villain.
I thought it was going to be Katie.
Like, I thought I was just having a good time.
I hated that they used,
that the public used the word bullying
because there really was not bullying going on.
And like I said,
I think it was just COVID.
Things got blown out of proportion,
like a lot of, like, cancel culture vibes.
But no, I think,
I was just having fun
and it was the wrong show
for that. Like House of Villains
is much better suited to
my methods of fun, perhaps.
That's funny. So you have a relationship
with Teresa Judey's on the show
and that was unexpected for many
fans. Also, I guess
I don't keep up enough with Jersey Housewives, but
I never really thought of Teresa as a
villain. But what does it?
It's because she flipped the table.
Oh, okay. Just that moment.
that epic reality team moment and jail thing and jail yeah the crime in the family yes so what was it
about you guys that just clicked teresa and i really bonded um i lost my mom when i was younger so i
love the relationship that she has with her daughters and like i can't wait to be a mom and so i
told her that and then we just like instantly vibed and had like a good friendship because i think
that was like an intimate moment we got to communicate about and then did you guys
your friendship was lost somewhere along the long way you know yes a real actual bully came into the
house and tore our relationship apart but um no we're friends still but we don't see eye to eye on
certain situations that happen i think we could still have a friend like that sure yeah i mean
that's most of my friendships uh we don't see eye all the time but we we come to some compromise the
The thing that intrigues me, I think, that I'm most interested in about the House of Villains.
Obviously, I love Joel McHale.
I've done a show with him, and he is fantastic and such a good energy on set and also just a good, a really talented host.
So the show intrigues me in that way.
But the thing I'm most interested in is going back a little bit to the ownership of this.
The villain title, as long as you said, you didn't want to bully anybody, you didn't want to hurt anybody, but the villain title is, it's kind of hard to define when it comes from reality television, because I don't really know what that means. It just means maybe you were the most controversial character. Maybe you're the most polarizing character. Maybe you spoke out the most. I don't exactly understand what a villain title means. But everybody that goes on this show owns it because it's called the house of villains. And so when you walk into this set and you
start to live in this house with all these people who have owned the villain title by going on
this show what kind of how do you prep for it I think and and how do you mentally um
get to a place where you're like I can walk into this confidently and do you and my final point to
this is do you feel like you have to own this title more because you're on this show like I have
to be more of a villain than I've ever been before okay so well um producers called
me and they were like, I'm like, no, I don't want to do the villain thing. And they were like,
well, you can show that you're not a villain. You know, like, you don't have to be a villain.
Did you believe them? Yes, because I'm a dumb ass.
Well, you actually, you had a full ride scholarship to college. We're going to have to talk about
that after this. Well, I'm academic, but I don't have common sense. Like, that part's still coming.
Okay. That's hilarious. But so, yeah, so, okay, so that part. And then my,
first night I was crying like even Ashley I think you could be a villain because you on um for sure for sure
what was it the paradise show like you're crying all the time it's like you just take up this show
whatever it is so you're a villain but um yeah so I was crying the first night and producers were like
I'm like I want to leave like I want to leave this house I don't want to do the show I don't care
and they were like we told you like coming in there's going to be loud personalities a lot to
handle like can you do it and like they just kind of walk
me through it. And then I'm like, okay, I'm going to sit back and like not do anything because I
watched season one and that's how Anfisa made it to the end. Like, she didn't have any drama
or talk. And then the producer was like, well, why would you come on to a TV show just to sit back,
like do something? And I'll also say when I left, not that I feel I need to embrace the title
of villain more in my everyday life, obviously, but I was like, dang, I wish I did more on that
show because what else do you have the opportunity to act completely unhinged? And it's acceptable.
I'm, yeah, I want to do more villainous shit.
It's so fun.
I am obsessed with the honesty.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And it helps it makes sense.
I think the honesty brings us all into this to help get perspective into exactly what
was going on in your mind.
Because I do think there is a way in which owning this villain title could hurt almost.
Like if I went up to you on the street and I'm like, you're a villain in my life.
Like that would be very offensive.
I would feel that
but owning the title
and being like
I'm going to be in a house
full of these people
I can be in unhinged
I can do this crazy stuff
and everybody else is doing
crazy stuff too
I think it helps us
make more sense
of how in the world
do you say yes to it
yeah
and I think too
there's like a form of
detachment as well
because I was the queen persona
like obviously
in my everyday life
I'm not like guys
I'm queen Victoria
like that would be ridiculous
so there's the element
of like the persona
and then like detachment
from me.
Yeah, you're like, you know how the expression is?
I play a doctor on TV or like something like that.
It's like, I'm not a doctor, but I play a doctor on TV.
It's like, well, you're not a villain, but you play a villain on TV.
Yeah.
But I will say, like, there's elements of my personality, of course.
Like, when I'm crying all the time, like, that's actually me.
Do you think that crying is a villainous quality, though?
I would say that maybe drama and drama is associated with tears, yeah.
Yeah, no, crying, like, that's a human right.
You're allowed to cry.
But they make it a thing.
My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly, and now I'm seriously suspicious.

I don't trust her.
Now, he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone.
Now, hold up.
Isn't that against school policy?
That sounds totally inappropriate.
Well, according to this person, this is her boyfriend's former professor, and they're the same age.
It's even more likely that they're cheating.
He insists there's nothing between them.
I mean, do you believe him?
Well, he's certainly trying to get this person to believe him because he now wants them both to meet.
So, do we find out if this person's boyfriend really cheated with his professor or not?

What would you do if one bad decision forced you to choose between a maximum security
prison or the most brutal boot camp designed to be hell on earth?
Unfortunately for Mark Lombardo, this was the choice he faced.
He said, you are a number, a New York state number, and we own you.
Shock incarceration, also known as boot camps, are short-term, highly regimented correctional
programs that mimic military basic training.
These programs aim to provide a shock of prison life, emphasizing strict discipline,
physical training, hard labor, and rehabilitation programs.
Mark had one chance to complete this program and had no idea of the hell awaiting him
the next six months.
The first night was so overwhelming and you don't know who's next to you.
And we didn't know what to expect in the morning.
Nobody tells you anything.

Oh, wow.
That's a real G-talk right there.
Oh, yeah.
We've got some of the biggest actors, musicians, content creators, and culture
culture shifters sharing their real stories of failure and success.
You're destined to be a start.
We talk all about what's viral and trending with a little bit of chisement, a lot of laughs,
and those amazing Vibras you've come to expect.
And of course, we'll explore deeper topics dealing with identity, struggles, and all the
issues affecting our Latin community.
You feel like you get a little whitewash because you have to do the code switching?
I won't say whitewash because at the end of the day, you know what I'm me?
but the whole pretending and, you know, it takes a toll on you.

Corinne was the Bachelor Condescent on the first season of House of Villains.
You said you watched it.
Did you reach out to her and get advice?
Yeah.
Yeah, Corinne is so amazing.
I reached out to her through friends before I went on and she was like,
Like, do it.
You'll have so much fun.
And then I connected with her after filming.
And she's hilarious in person.
Like, she's, she's so tiny in real life.
She is.
And she just is, like, so fun.
The, I mean, this was obviously what the second.
I think this is the second season of House of Villains, right?
Mm-hmm.
Before we kind of go back to your life outside of television,
because I know you have a very successful business that you've started.
And also, Ashley's kind of foreshadowed that you got a full ride
academic scholarship and we're going to talk about your academic pursuits um why would fans that maybe
haven't tuned in why would they want to watch this um what would if you convince them in a few
sentences why they should tune in the house of villains uh what would you say yeah i mean well you already
said joel mcale's the host so that just is a no-brainer and i think i enjoy watching it and i
enjoyed season one because it's a light show like it's a comedy show and that's the type of TV
I like to watch sometimes too much drama I'm you know I don't feel good watching that type of show
and although it's villains and we have drama it's all really lighthearted we all make fun of
ourselves and um I think everyone should tune in it's fun my last question about the shows is um
there was a two hundred dollar reward at the end to be titled america's ultimate $200,000
$200,000, I said $200,000, make this even more interesting you say yes, too.
$200,000 to get the title of America's ultimate supervillain.
How much is the money on your mind when you're in the house?
And how much is just like kind of creating a character for yourself?
Yeah, I mean, I definitely wanted to win.
So at first, I'm just like, okay, I don't want to be the first gone.
Yeah, just like The Bachelor.
Yeah, not the first row ceremony.
Yeah, so kind of just trying to like make it through.
And then you don't realize the prize because you're just like,
honestly, when you're filming, there's so many surprises and this that it's like a mind
because you can't even think about anything because you're constantly so distracted.
As well as you guys know from filming like lack of sleep and all the other fun stuff.
So you kind of, I didn't think about the prize until right before I was eliminated.
And then I'm like, I'm so fun.
Yeah. Yeah. I understand that because like, that's how they talk about on the Bachelor, you know, you're there for the wrong reasons. And I'm always like, no, like, when you're in the bubble, you are 100% there for the right reasons.
You, I'm ironic after I say, you know, don't, don't eliminate me on the first row ceremony.
Yeah. But, but you know what I mean? And it's just like you are so into that person that like all you really care about is being with that person and you don't care about any of the.
other additional benefits once you're no really i was i never thought about that while filming i
fell asleep some nights as a contestant being like i hope i don't go home tomorrow that's embarrassing
well yeah out of embarrassing moment but i'm like saying as far as like fame and money goes
no i don't think it's fame and money but i think there's some ego involved because even when i
is always there yeah so much stuff i did producers would be like if you whatever if you you know
give me some inspiration
I'll give you 10 extra minutes with Matt
because people would ask me like well what did producers
like what was the incentive and I'm like
time with Matt like it's so
because you're in the bubble you're like that is the greatest
reward like you're not thinking about anything
outside of it um I'm the same
was for filming this show um so yeah
but and I do think also
speaking about ego once my ego got super
wrapped up because I was like I want to
be Larsa. That was my whole thing on house the villains. Once my head got wrapped that way
is when I went home. And I do think like once your ego gets too involved in life and filming
the universe will, you know, bring you back down to reality. So I think that was my own demise.
It's funny to hear you say that they would dangle the carrot of more time with Matt in front of
you. I've never thought about this. I've also never, was never offered that as an exchange for
drama. No, it was offered. But I've never thought about this until this moment. But when I was
the bachelor, they would dangle the carrot of, we'll let you go to bed an hour earlier if you do this.
So yours was more time. Mine was, I just want to be alone in a hotel room. They appeal to
his introverted senses. Yeah, that's funny. But no, the extra time with Matt, and then they
would give me little moments and they'd be like, see, we got you.
I'd be like, okay, I'll keep doing what they say.
Yeah, they keep their word true.
Well, Victoria, to kind of transition here into, not away from House of Villains,
because that is such an incredible project that is obviously going to be one that we want
people to tune into and to watch you on.
But to transition to you personally, I want to ask you this question, and this is a transition
to you personally.
We spoke a lot about you being a villain.
We spoke a lot about now you being going on House of Villain.
feelings. But if somebody was sitting down with you at dinner, a friend or maybe a romantic
interest, and they said, who are you, Victoria? How do you want me to know you just from a few
words that you could share? How do you actually want people to know you? Tough question. Because I'm
going through a transition right now. So I guess I would say, you know, I'm always learning and
growing and trying to evolve and just taking like one day at a time um and my interests are
I love to travel I love to read I love animals and yeah I'm like I don't know what else
I don't know um just I like to have a good time stay busy what uh you said a transition
can you explain a little more about that well right now I'm in a transition I think because of the
new year was coming and I was living in Florida for a while I was you know doing real estate there
and now I'm transitioning back into a flight attendant on private jets which actually I remember when
I was on The Bachelor they had a whole thing of like she's leaving her luxury lifestyle behind I'm like
okay I was working in that lifestyle like it's not like I had this grandiot lifestyle but I'm getting
back to it and I'm really excited so yeah I'm transitioning um
single so i the past year i kind of spent like chasing guys because i want to have a family
and a baby and stuff but then now i'm transitioning into like focusing on work and just you know
letting things come when they may so how old are you know i'm almost 32 crazy you've got time
you got time thank you we have you been by a few years so we're good where does victoria larson
beauty fit into all of this um
To be honest, that was a really fun venture.
I haven't kept up with it because it got, I mean, I had great perfume lines, beauty products, and yeah, that's not really a focus right now.
Okay.
It was a good run.
A year or so after you were on The Bachelor, I want to even say like before you're
in paradise um lots people were talking about like your your instagram makeover and would you care to
share like what went into that yeah i mean um do you mean like Botox and stuff or yeah yeah i mean
i did Botox filler all the things um lymphatic massages like three times a week before
paradise i'm so into lymphatic massages they're so amazing because yeah we have so many toxins in
our body and also not to justify my behavior but like I was eating shit food while filming and
I really do feel like that affects your brain so now I like eat very healthy and it just helps
my energy and everything so yeah so many things what else did I do now you know I like
EMS the workout thing um Pilates yeah so many things so there's been a change in you to get healthier
in all ways.
I mean, this has been,
and is that,
was that kind of started because of what you saw on these shows
or started because you just weren't feeling good personally,
and you're kind of feeling like you didn't have a lot of energy?
And, like, how did this all start?
Like, I think we're so lucky that we get to film these shows,
and it's like, you know, the basketball players
who watch back their game and see what moves they did.
Like, we get to watch.
And as much as there is a persona,
that was enhanced, you know, I could see which parts were me and which parts did I want to tweak and evolve on and improve.
So I loved that part of filming.
And yeah, I always was healthy, but I went through different fads.
So, like, when I was heavier on The Bachelor, it's because a few years prior I had been addicted to Adderall.
And so for me, getting off of Adderall was, like, a good step, even though I gained some weight.
So that's kind of what I mean by just, like, always transitioning and evolving.
It's just there's life and there's a flow and chapters and our favorite word on The Bachelor, The Journey.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Well, I think it's beautiful, though, when you take ownership for it too.
You know, a lot of people would sit back and see these things and say, you know what?
There's nothing I can do about it.
But for you, you kind of put a stake in the ground and you said, I'm going to get healthier in all these ways.
Yeah.
I think that's an incredible thing and a trait and one that, you know, a lot of people could learn from.
Yeah. We appreciate you being opening about all of this.
Yeah, of course. Then I'm grateful to come on. And yeah, I think self-awareness is so great.
And then just like changing one thing at a time. Like, what's the next best thing you can change, you know?
And yeah, everything, it's like brick by brick you lay it down. So a couple fun questions for you.
As you are kind of a luxury, you're going back into being a luxury jet flight attendant.
What a name you just put behind that?
Luxury jet flight attendant.
I think it's a private jet and a luxury flight attendant,
but I like how you name that.
It is.
It's all luxury.
So any run-ins with celebrities up there and there?
Yeah.
Actually, yesterday on my commercial flight,
I had a celebrity.
His name was like Omirin or something.
He was so nice.
But yeah, celebrities all the time.
But I mean, you guys are celebrities.
things for connecting with me.
I've just never been in a private jet.
So someday, I'd love to see.
No, I'd love to see you on one.
I mean, I've been living in a big life.
Guys, I was on a private jet.
It was the scariest thing in my life.
I guess it wasn't a private jet.
It was a prop plane through the literal desert of Australia.
This is when I went to go tape Stars on Mars.
And I was with Paul Pierce and a couple other celebrities.
and it was the four of us.
The pilot was, I guess he's like probably in his 40s.
And I go, are you the pilot?
And he goes, nope.
And he was loading our luggage onto the plane, the four-seater plane, the four-passenger
seater plane.
And I'm already nervous.
And now the pilot is joking with me that he's not the pilot.
He's literally putting our luggage on the plane.
And then he goes in the cockpit, and I realize there's no co-pilot.
If this guy has anything happened to him physically, we're down.
For Ashley, you're so anxious.
Yeah, you just sit in that front seat, Ashley.
You'd be fine.
Oh, my God.
It's the most nerve-wracking two hours ever, and you're looking down, and there's just emptiness.
I didn't see a house for, I think, a solid hour and a half.
This is good for you.
It humbles you, Ashley.
Victoria, as we close up here, obviously we're talking about House of Villains.
We've talked about your time of The Bachelor.
We talk about kind of this transition into going back into the career of being a private jet flight attendant.
If people out there are listening and they want to know what you're going to be up to next,
where they can maybe watch you next outside of House of Villains,
even though we want them to watch you there, what do you see in your future?
What can fans and listeners get excited about?
I really want to do a show with New York
I loved her
I know she's really busy for the next bit of time
but I want to film something with New York
so trying to manifest that
and then I really want to do traitors
that show looks good
or I mean it is good
that looks like it'd be fun to be on
and maybe dancing with the stars
you know anything that comes my way
send it. You're saying yes
okay so Bachelor in Paradise
they're rebooting it
after a season off
and I was like
should I do Bachelor in Paradise
I mean I am single
I just don't I haven't kept up
with the show
so I'm like I don't know
I didn't like my last
Paradise experience
but I could be open
yeah I'm still looking for love
I think the Paradise is going to be
new production team
new location
new vibe new field
then yes
then yeah because I hate it
hated filming in Mexico.
It was so freaking hot.
But yeah, it seems like, you know,
I've met some more people
through the franchise
and everyone's so nice.
So I'm like,
maybe I needed to work on myself
to find my true partner.
There you go.
There you go.
Victoria, it's great to have you here.
We're excited for this venture.
Where can people tune in to House of Villains?
House of Villains is on E
new episode every Thursday.
And then is on Peacock
to stream and to binge.
Yeah.
And thank you guys so much for having me on because when I was thinking about coming on,
I'm like, I love that I am still part of the Bachelor franchise and not like completely removed.
You can come on anytime.
You're not removed by any means.
That's not even, that's not even close to where you're at.
And we're excited to continue to watch you.
And we hope there is many more opportunities along the way that you're saying yes to you.
Paradise might be the easiest one that we can pull.
I'm sure somebody that's working on that shows listening to this.
And so if you have an interest in helping Victoria find her forever partner, Bachelor World,
call her, all right, guys.
And Victoria, if you start watching the show again and you have like some shit to talk with us
and you want to recap an episode, come on over.
Yes, you know, I will keep it real.
Yes, exactly.
Thank you, Victoria.
Bye.
See you.

villains in Bachelor history. Victoria Larson, you can tune in, as she said, to House of Villains
every Thursday night on E for the upcoming few weeks, or you can stream it on Peacock. Until next time,
