Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an I-Heart podcast. My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly, and now I'm seriously suspicious. Wait a minute, Sam. Maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit. Well, Dakota, luckily, it's back to school week on the OK Storytime podcast, so we'll find out soon. This person writes, my boyfriend's been hanging out with his young professor a lot. He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her. Now he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone.
Starting point is 00:00:25 Hold up. Isn't that against school policy? That seems inappropriate. Maybe find out how it ends by listening to the OK Storytime podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Why are TSA rules so confusing? You got a hood of you. Starting point is 00:00:51 Why are you screaming? I can't expect what to do. Now, if the rule was the same, go off on me. I deserve it. You know, lock him up. Listen to No Such Thing on the. iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. No such thing.

In session 418 of the Therapy for Black Girls podcast, Dr. Angela Neal-Barnett and I discuss flight anxiety. What is not normal is to allow it to prevent you from doing the things that you want to do.
Starting point is 00:01:59 the things that she were meant to do. Listen to therapy for black girls on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. This is the Ben and Ashley I, almost famous podcast with IHartRadio. It's the almost famous podcast. Yes, we are back. We are excited. We have a ton of energy. Why you ask?
Starting point is 00:02:20 Well, because there's an amazing Bachelor television on TV every week that's keeping us talking and keeping you interested. you mean very very high ratings news actually that should be our number one hot topic the bachelor the golden bachelor is really reviving this franchise in the way that we kind of predicted that it would it seems as if when you combine streaming and dvr and like all of it that it got over seven million viewers this week which is amazing to do nowadays days in network television. I just want to be clear that 7 million viewers are similar numbers to what we saw in like the 2014 through 2016 years. Yes. Like your season, my season. I think it was like the 7 to 9 million range, right?
Starting point is 00:03:17 Yeah, it was. And, you know, we've talked about it many times, actually, right? We've been criticized because we've been down on the show. We've been celebrated because we've been down on the show. because we've been down on the show at times. You know, we've had our questions about where is this show going? What is this show going to do to turn itself around? Found it.
Starting point is 00:03:37 I feel like they found it. You know, there's reasons why viewership has dropped dramatically over the last few years. One of those reasons is just that people aren't watching television like they used to. There's so many options. There's so many things to tune in. There's so many reality shows now. And back in the day, you know, The Bachelor. was really the one and only.
Starting point is 00:03:59 And so that was one reason. The other one was, you know, our critiques of, hey, where is this show going? Why are the storylines feeling so kind of like bland? Why are these people coming on the show, maybe so forgettable post show? And they're not the big characters that we remember seeing. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:15 And then when they announced the Golden Bachelor three years ago that they were going to start doing it, you and I both were on the same page where like, this could be it. Like, this is a big deal. It's pulling it. And here's the reason. We've never really spoke about it.
Starting point is 00:04:26 this. I think the reason why you and I both believed in it. One, great concept, good feeling show, kids can watch it, you know, parents can watch it, that kind of thing. The other part is it pulls back a demo that grew up raising their kids watching this show. You know, like when, when moms and dads would put their kids to bed, you know, that age range 20 years ago when it started, some of these people that are on the Golden Bachelor were in their 40s and late 30s. 30s. And so it's pulling those people back in to say, I'm familiar with the show. I like this show. I want to watch this show again. And it reminds me of what I used to have. And then the thing that's kind of shocked me. And I want to hear your opinion on this. I'm a little bit surprised. I knew the older generation would tune in. I'm a little bit surprised with the reaction of this younger generation to people in their 20s and like 20s, really, that stopped watching the show that are now tuning back in and so into the Golden Bachelor. I think this sounds weird. I think young people love old people.
Starting point is 00:05:30 I think they think they're adorable. And once you get above their parents' age, where if you're in your 20s, these people are probably a little bit older than your parents, you just think of them in a very endearing sense. Well, and I think another aspect is you're bringing back the fantasy of it all, where, you know, back in the day when you'd watch The Bachelor,
Starting point is 00:05:51 you'd watch these characters, I did. And you'd say, wow, like, I can relate with this love story. I hope to one day have a love story like this. You know, you're kind of looking at their fashion and how, like,
Starting point is 00:06:03 how they're navigating their lives. And we got to where we were watching the Bachelor and Bachelor and the people were in their 20s. We were all older than them and we're like, well, we've already been there, right? Like,
Starting point is 00:06:12 stop complaining that your heart is broken. It's going to happen. Like, it's going to happen. And guess what? It's not a big deal because you will rebound and you're beautiful and you'll find someone. But now we're watching this.
Starting point is 00:06:25 and I'm watching and I'm learning from not only Gary but the contestants on the on the on the show right now saying I'm learning from their wisdom I'm learning from their life experience I'm learning how they've dealt with really terrible grief and pain and what they still want in life after that grief and pain has happened to them and how they hold that on I've also learned about some of the conversations um that they have in the midst of that grief and pain about their old loved ones and we're going to dive way in to The Golden Bachelor. But I think it's a big deal to kind of highlight... The success, the success of the show. It is Hulu's number one premiered show. So, like, to explain that better, of all, like, new shows that end up making their way to Hulu, like, the next day. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:16 In the history of Hulu, they've never had a show have its first episode get as many views in one week or within a certain time frame than the Golden Bachelor, which is huge. And then it's, so it was at number one on Hulu for quite a few days. I'm not sure if it still is. And following it on that top 10 chart was Bachelor in Paradise. I do think that Paradise this season, you'll see it was, it was amazingly not good because the drop off rate from the Golden Bachelor audience in live time on Thursday night to Paradise was 50%. 50% of people dropped off. I do think, though, that the 9 to 11 time frame is making people be like, I'm going to watch it the next day. And then I also think that it's more of a bingy show. I think that the Golden
Starting point is 00:08:06 Bachelor is going to feel more of like the must see live TV, like a sports live, the way that we've watched The Bachelor with viewing parties in such in the past. And Bachelor in Paradise is more of like the, oh, I'm going to catch up, I'll binge a couple episodes in type show. And I, I know we don't get like exact numbers from Hulu, which is really unfortunate and like any other streaming services because I just find like Nielsen Riddings very interesting, but they're just so archaic now because they do not do justice to how much the show has watched. Anyway, as a Bachelor fan and as somebody who, whose whole life I can, I really need to credit to like Bachelor Paradise, I hope that the show is doing better than it so seemed based on
Starting point is 00:08:51 Nielsen ratings on Thursday night. You can assume that the producers behind The Bachelor are in meetings right now asking themselves, what are we learning from the success of the show? What do we need to do to capitalize on this? Where does our other shows need to kind of change? What do viewers want, desire, and need in this new kind of era of television? It feels exciting to me, Ashley. I sit down at the mic, getting to talk to you, and I'm excited again because I feel. like we're talking about a show that I'll go as far as say is on the cutting edge of probably new programming, meaning what is we, what do we as viewers right now want to watch? And we're going to, again, we'll dive into the Golden Bachelor, we'll break it all down this last episode,
Starting point is 00:09:38 episode two of Gary's season. Actually, we have some other headlines to get to. One of them, I have no clue what it's about. And we need you to explain it to us. You are heading out to L.A. to do in Hartford event. We've kind of mentioned it a few weeks ago. I think I asked you, what in the world is this? Explain it to us. It's on October 18th at 5 p.m. It's live at the IHeart Theater in Los Angeles. It's called The Secret of My Success. You have some great guests joining you or you'll be joining them. I don't know how that works. But what is this thing? Okay, so I'm doing an event. It's live in a theater, the IHeart Radio Theater, in Los Angeles. Or you can also streaming online. So there are two different tickets, one for online and one for in person. It's
Starting point is 00:10:26 October 18th at 5 p.m. And it's really cool. So it's going to be with Tyler Florence, Wells Adams, Jenny Garth, Tori Spelling, and Bethany Frankl. And it's called The Secret of My Success. There's no business like small business. So everybody there owns their own small business. And we're going to talk about how we've made them successful. And it's going to be kind of, like an inspirational conversation amongst us, all having passion projects that we were able to make a successful business. And it's presented by Hartford Insurance. We're all really excited to be there and to give our two cents onto how to be an entrepreneur. I'll be tuning in. Sounds awesome. My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly and now I'm seriously suspicious.
Starting point is 00:11:19 Well, wait a minute, Sam, maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit. Well, Dakota, it's back to school week on the OK Storytime podcast, so we'll find out soon. This person writes, my boyfriend has been hanging out with his young professor a lot. He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her. Now, he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone. Now, hold up. Isn't that against school policy? That sounds totally inappropriate.
Starting point is 00:11:40 Well, according to this person, this is her boyfriend's former professor, and they're the same age. And it's even more likely that they're cheating. He insists there's nothing between them. I mean, do you believe him? Well, he's certainly trying to get this person to believe him because he now wants them both to meet. So, do we find out if this person's boyfriend really cheated with his professor or not? To hear the explosive finale, listen to the OK Storytime podcast on the IHeart Radio app,

We feel sometimes like we're leaving a part of us behind when we enter a new space, but we're just building. On a recent episode of Culture Raises Us, I was joined by Volisha Butterfield, media founder, political strategist, and tech powerhouse for a powerful conversation. on storytelling, impact, and the intersections of culture and leadership. I am a free black woman who worked really hard to be able to say that.

Starting point is 00:15:00 Well, recently we've had Becca Martinez on our episode. Becca Martinez was talking about being a mom, living and functioning in a beautiful relationship with Grayston. Becca, we want to celebrate today because Becca has announced that she has given birth to her third baby with fiancé Grayston. This according to page six, Ashley, give us the details. The baby was born on Grayston's birthday, which is pretty awesome, September 28th. And we know Becca, the baby was born at home. It's a boy.
Starting point is 00:15:37 She didn't know until he was born. But she had very much a gut feeling that it was a boy. and she birthed him on the toilet. I think it was more of like a, look at Ben's face. So Becca is all about at home births. She delivered the other two in the, you know, the birthing tub. And this baby, we have seen pictures of her laboring in the shower. And we also saw pictures of her on the toilet.
Starting point is 00:16:09 It's a little, the vagina area is blurred. and she said that her midwife almost didn't catch the baby when it was delivered on the toilet. I think the toilet was supposed to give her a certain position to get the baby out. I've never heard of that. I don't claim to know a lot about childbirth, but I've never heard of that. Normally when babies are born on the toilet, it's in an episode of I didn't know I was pregnant. And the mom thinks that she has a huge poop coming and it's actually a baby. But in this case, she was very much prepared for her baby to come out of her and her midwife was there.
Starting point is 00:16:47 We don't know all the details because we don't subscribe to Becca Martinez's Patreon, which I feel like I really need to do just to hear her birth story. She's so interesting when she tells these birth stories. It is her third. Her two other kids, Ruth is four and her son Franklin is three. and she says that she has the entire story up on her Patreon now. So, I mean, maybe I need to be a good host of this podcast and sign up for her Patreon. Well, you do love following her too. She is one of your favorite followers.
Starting point is 00:17:20 She's so interesting because I would never, ever birth a baby at home. You know, because she and I are so different in so many ways. Yeah. She's always a great guest, too, and she's always very vulnerable and gives us a little. the insight. So hope we can get her on soon to talk about it as well. But yeah, go visit her Patreon to get all the details. That's wild. I'm learning, I just learned so much on the show all the time. Bachelor Nations, Abigail and Noah celebrate their engagement. The line that they use together is now let's get hitched. Okay. So we all know that they recently, well,
Starting point is 00:17:59 I don't know if we all know. If you guys remember because you are loyal Bachelor Nation followers, They both moved to Oklahoma recently, bought their first house, a total fixer upper, and they're in the midst of making it their own. And they don't really have a lot of furniture yet, but they had friends and family, let them borrow a few tables and chairs. They set it up. It looked really romantic and classic. They hung, like, string lights in the backyard, and they had their engagement party. Seriously, everything looked really beautiful. we have no idea when they're be getting married, but I think they're like,
Starting point is 00:18:37 this is like just, you know, the flow of things. Congrats to the house, have the engagement party. I'm sure we'll be getting word on like a timeline soon. Congrats to them. That's a big deal. Speaking of engagements, Bachelor Nation's Beckett Tilley describes her engagement talks with girlfriend, Haley, Kyoko. This is on the messenger.
Starting point is 00:19:00 I heard that you were actually, there for this conversation, yeah? I was probably around. Okay, so you, it was this, it was this week they did the triathlon? Yes, it was. So this is a good time to talk about it because these quotes happened
Starting point is 00:19:15 because Becca came, did she support you at the triathlon or? No, no. The same, the same interviewer that was at Colton's event that Becca was at the night before came really kind of him to come and watch the triathlon.
Starting point is 00:19:32 and then we sat down afterwards and had a great talk. He's friends with Amy. He's friends with Han. I kind of lived in the same building or near them. And so he just knows a lot about kind of the world that I live in. I've talked to him before. And so we just had a good talk about our friends, about what's going on in Bachelor Nation,
Starting point is 00:19:47 about the Golden Bachelor. It was awesome. Okay, well, very nice. So, okay, yeah, so I actually wanted to talk to Becca and Haley, but mostly Becca because obviously I'm very close to her. When we were at the wedding, you know, we're at a wedding
Starting point is 00:20:02 and everybody our friends from Bachelor that are there like married and I'm looking at Becca and Haley and they're just like seemingly so like still in that honeymoon phase five years in. I'm like, definitely.
Starting point is 00:20:16 So like, is it appropriate of me to ask about engagement? I did not. But this guy, your reporter friend, he did. And they Becca had a nice fun way
Starting point is 00:20:29 of deviating the conversation. She said, my best friends are currently engaged, so we have to get them married when it's my time. I wanted to just be my time. Yeah. She did say that she loved watching Haley with you at Dean's wedding and just, you know, funny to see somebody that she once dated now with her girlfriend of so long. Yeah. I mean, Haley is so fun. Like she is. And we talked about it with Becca on our podcast a few weeks ago. And if you haven't listened to that, I think it's a fun podcast kind of breaking down
Starting point is 00:21:06 Dean and Kailen's wedding. But it's, you know, Haley's a very sweet, sweet soul. She's super interesting to talk to. I mean, obviously her and Sarah Hyland and Debbie Ryan really had all of this, all these incredible stories to share about being teenagers, living in L.A.,
Starting point is 00:21:26 kind of becoming into the spotlight at that point and trying to function in that crazy city as teenagers. And so I just find Haley super fascinating, super sweet, and we'll keep an eye on their relationship. I mean, I don't know even if I would even have an uneducated guess on what their relationship is leading into. All I know is I agree with you. They are very much in that honeymoon stage and very much happy with each other. Well, they did give a little something. Becka did do a little give a little something in this interview. She said that when they are at weddings and so I said, you have conversations like,
Starting point is 00:22:04 oh, well, this would be fun or that would be cool. You know, so like they're planning for the future or a possible wedding. Yeah, it's fun to talk about it. I remember that time. It was really fun for weddings. Yeah. I like this and I like that. I don't like this and I don't like that.
Starting point is 00:22:17 I don't know if there's anything from being in Caitlin's wedding. You couldn't like. Yeah. It's just like what's for you and what's not, you know, what, like, is true to you guys as a couple, you know. You mentioned the triathlon. Yes, I did do a triathlon this weekend in Malibu. It was awesome. You know, in another announcement, it's probably a headline somewhere, but I'm now an uncle.
Starting point is 00:22:40 Oh, yes. Congratulations. Jessica's brother, sister-in-law had their baby this last week, and it's beautiful, so pumped. Well, Jessica and I were supposed to go to Malibu together. I was planning on doing this triathlon. Malibu? Yeah. Malibu, yeah, she did a triathlon.
Starting point is 00:22:59 Okay, but you let her go. You surprised her with a trip to see the baby, right? Yeah, it was terrible timing, really, for me, because I had gone to Italy for two weeks, and then I'd gone to Dean and Kaelin's wedding. So my training and my shape had definitely taken a hit. And when you enter into a triathlon, you want to be in, like, peak physical condition.
Starting point is 00:23:18 I was not. But I did it well. I swam well. I'm not a good cyclist. This is going to be born to everybody. I had a good run. I got, I don't know what I got. I got pretty good considering there's some pros also competing.
Starting point is 00:23:34 I definitely got top 20. That's great. Yeah. That's amazing. Out of how many people? I don't know. 360. That's amazing.
Starting point is 00:23:44 Yeah, top, top 7%. Yeah, I crushed it. I got crushed on the bike. Like absolutely destroyed on the bike. Why do you think, to me, as somebody who doesn't run, bike or swim, you know, well. Yeah. I would feel that the cycling would have been the easiest part.
Starting point is 00:24:03 Why am I wrong? Is it a lot uphill? No, it's the easiest part, but you're also competing against a bunch of people who train with like real, like racing bikes. Yeah, like they're good cyclists. And so it's easy for, it's the easiest leg, but that means that the good, like, cyclists can fly. And I did not have the bike.
Starting point is 00:24:24 I rented a bike in Malibu. so like my bike was not set up for me it was not a racing bike and so i was just chugging along i came out of the water and six i think that's pretty good like that's incredible hold your hold the phone yeah you're just swimming in the pacific ocean oh it was brutal yeah big old waves frigid and so rigid frigid waves uh you can't see anything it's very disorienting like in fact i got out of the water and like i felt very dizzy um and you're swollen salt water it was a I mean, but I'll tell you what, if anybody has any interest in doing a triathlon of any length or kind, they do an incredible job. They raise $1.2 million for the Children's Hospital of
Starting point is 00:25:07 Los Angeles through this. Yeah. So it was an awesome event. Ran into some, here's a funny story, and then I'll get into why Justin ended up coming, but ran into some bachelor contestants. There's a team bachelor there. No way. I wasn't a part of that team. I didn't know any of them. And fact, um, they were like on KD season, I think, a few of the guys were on KD season, super nice. Really glad I got to meet them. I'm planning on doing it again with them next year and kind of joining their group because I just did it alone. The reason I did it alone, again, just was going to come with me. But she wasn't going to participate. She was just going to watch. She would crush me. I'm glad she didn't participate. She's a great, she's an all-state swimmer, you know,
Starting point is 00:25:51 obviously a college runner and she can jump on a bike and pedal. Um, But I, when her brother and sister-in-law had their baby, I could see it in her eyes like this desire to get back to Nashville. And when we moved to Denver, one of our agreements was whenever there's a big family event, even if I can't go, just like you should go. It's a, you know, you should be there. You should be a part of those things. Like, just because you're moving away doesn't mean you have to miss out on that stuff. Yeah, that's good. And so, yeah, I did.
Starting point is 00:26:23 I surprised her a night before. I got her ticket to Nashville. she fought me hard on it. She was like, no, we're going to, I want to go with you. We've planned on this. And I said, hey, if you want to watch me do a triathlon, I'll do it in our neighborhood. Like, I'll start running around the circle. Oh, Ben, you're so sweet.
Starting point is 00:26:36 I'll swim for the pool. But, like, it's not a spectator event. We'll be fine. And so she went to Nashville and celebrated. I guess it's not really a spectator event, right? Because she's only going to see you, like, breeze by one or two times. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:48 So it was, it worked out great. And she was able to get to Nashville and celebrate with them. And I'm so happy to be an uncle. but I haven't met my niece yet, which is so weird. I have a niece now, and I'm being called Uncle Bean. That was my request. I want to be Uncle Bean. That is so freaking cute.
Starting point is 00:27:05 You can't hate your Uncle Bean. Like Uncle Bean can't be anything but your favorite. That's adorable. Aw, the first grandchild. My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly, and now I'm seriously. Well, wait a minute, Sam, maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit. Well, Dakota, it's back to school week on the OK Storytime podcast, so we'll find out soon.
Starting point is 00:27:32 This person writes, my boyfriend has been hanging out with his young professor a lot. He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her. Now, he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone. Now, hold up. Isn't that against school policy? That sounds totally inappropriate. Starting point is 00:28:40 Every episode gets real about the why behind these changes and gives you the inspiration and maybe the push to make your next pivot. And on my podcast, Good Game with Sarah Spain, I'm breaking down the players from rising stars to legends chasing history,
Starting point is 00:29:05 the predictions, well, we see a first-time winner, and the pressure. Billy Jean King says pressure is a privilege, you know. Plus, the stories and events off the court, and of course the honey deuses, the signature cocktail of the U.S. Open. The U.S. Open has gotten to be a very fancy, wonderfully experiential sporting event.
Starting point is 00:29:25 I mean, listen, the whole aim is to be accessible and inclusive for all tennis fans, whether you play tennis or not. Tennis is full of compelling stories of late. Have you heard about Icon Venus Williams' recent wildcard bids? Or the young Canadian, Victoria Mboko, making a name for herself. How about Naomi Osaka getting back to form? To hear this and more, listen to Good Game with Sarah Spain, an Iheart women's sports production in partnership with deep blue sports and entertainment
Starting point is 00:29:50 on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Presented by Capital One, founding partner of IHeart Women's Sports. I don't write songs. God write songs. I take dictation. I didn't even know you've been a pastor for over 10 years. I think culture is any space that you live in that develops you. On a recent episode of Culture Raises Us podcast, I sat down with Warren Campbell, Grammy-winning producer, pastor, and music executive to talk about the beats, the business, and the legacy behind some of the biggest names and gospel.
Starting point is 00:30:20 R&B, and hip-hop. This is like watching Michael Jackson talk about thoroughly before it happened. Was there a particular moment where you realize just how instrumental music culture was to shaping all of our global ecosystem? I was eight years old, and the Motown 25 special came on. And all the great Motown artists, Marvin, Stevie Wonder, Temptations, Diana Raw. From Mary Mary to Jennifer Hudson, we get into the soul of the music and the purpose that drives it. Listen to Culture Raises us on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:30:58 Well, on to other news outside of my triathlon and my big announcement is Chris Harrison, you know, has, I feel like I've gotten to keep in touch with him. I think you have as well. The weird thing is for as much as I see Chris and as much as I talk to Chris, I always have this weird thing. with asking him like, what are you up to now? Because he might not be up to anything. And that would be fine. He had a great and very successful career. But I just feel like it's a, it's probably a question he gets asked a lot, one that I am not going to speak to unless he brings it up. So this headline is a breakdown of what Chris Harrison is up to now after his Bachelor Nation exit. Yeah. So for those of you who don't know, Chris took about a year completely off. And then he actually joined the IHeart family in the podcast realm.
Starting point is 00:31:51 And he has a podcast that's been out for over like nine months, I'd say, about nine months. It's called The Most Dramatic Podcasts ever with Chris Harrison. And Lauren Zima, his fiancé, she pretty much co-hosts the thing with him. And they talk a lot about relationships and have a lot of celebrity interviews. It's really good podcast. And it does really well because I've seen their numbers before with our producer. And I'm like, wow, you guys are killing it. Everyone loves Chris.
Starting point is 00:32:17 And they have good interviews that they're intriguing. Yeah. Like when a couple does interviews and they do them well together, I always like it. I always just like love to hear like just other couples dynamics when it's in long form, like, you know, podcast. And then they are obviously planning a wedding and it's coming up. And they're living in Austin. They're very happy.
Starting point is 00:32:41 They're really doing very well. Yeah. I mean, I would say, yeah, to summarize all that, he's doing. great. I think he has taken a slowdown. One, his kids are in college, so he's enjoying that. He is getting ready to get married, which is a big deal. And I think a tad, we didn't know if Chris was ever going to get married again. And so he is doing that. And then he's living in Austin. So he's moved out of L.A. Lauren and Chris are living in Austin, loving Austin, probably playing a ton of golf in Austin. It sounds like he's just kind of entering into a sense.
Starting point is 00:33:16 second season of life or a third, whatever he would call it, uh, that's a little bit slower. I'm assuming though, uh, after, you know, as much time as he's had off in the show, it's probably becoming nicer and nicer. Like he's getting, yeah, he's probably feeling like this is his life now instead of missing. Yeah, what he knew for 19 years. Yeah, I would, I would be interested if somebody could ask Chris, uh, if he's upset that he's not the host of the Goldenbacks. Yeah. Like, I know that he did the other shows. The Golden Bachelor, yeah. Yeah, but if he looks at the Golden Bachelor, if he's watched it, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:33:52 And if he's like, gosh, that's a good show. Like, I think I could, I would like to be there. You guys could bond over being sad about bringing the host of that show. Yeah, we'll just mourn together. Cian Fleming, the name we haven't talked about in a long time, seeing Fleming, who was a massive part of Bachelor Nation for a while, announces she's expecting her first baby with husband Doug Fillmore, this according to Bachelor Nation.
Starting point is 00:34:15 If you remember her from Ari's top handful of girls, she has been married to Doug for a bit. She got with Doug really soon after getting off of Ari season, not in like a shady way. And like she was lucky to have done The Bachelor, not been the final picks in that case. And then moved on and found the love of her life really quickly. And they just announced that they are pregnant or she's pregnant. how I feel about that. The woman's pregnant. There's no we in pregnancy. We're going to have a baby, but I am pregnant. So she just posted on in social media, said, coming soon. We don't know how far long she is. And they shared a few sonogram photos of like Polaroids. Well, last headline of
Starting point is 00:35:10 today is a wedding that captured the eyes and the heart. arts and the intrigue of Bachelor Nation. Hannah Godwin and Dylan Barber reveal what went wrong during their wedding planning in or their wedding, I guess, in Paris. This is according to the Bachelor Nation as well. So there's two things that went wrong. One is like a little bit more boring than the other. So the more boring thing that went wrong is it didn't really go wrong.
Starting point is 00:35:38 It just was like a little bit nerve-wracking for a minute. They put like their payment down or the final payment or whatever for the venue. And because there's like a currency exchange, it wasn't going through very fast enough. And the venue was crawling and they were like, just letting you know, we have not received your payment yet. So if we don't get it by Monday at noon, you won't be able to have your wedding on Wednesday. Okay, obviously very crazy. But it was like, okay, but the money is in transfer currently. We just have no, like, we can't have no control over.
Starting point is 00:36:15 how long it took with the banks being off during the weekend and the currency switch over. I understand how nerve-wracking that must have been. They actually had it go through finally at 1145 a.m. on that Monday. But let's be real. Like, if it hadn't gone through, couldn't you, like, show them things? Like, look, look, it's here. It's here. Like, all the bank statements?
Starting point is 00:36:38 I don't know. You think the venue would actually cancel it if it was like 12.15 p.m. I would. I would I want to believe just for the sake of the story right that it was that stressful I just think it's a good story
Starting point is 00:36:54 Hannah goes she was so stressed but Dylan was like I know exactly what's happening it's all gonna be fine he wasn't he wasn't freaking out at all so then the thing that I would have been like what because I was so crazy with the music at our wedding we had like seven different
Starting point is 00:37:10 musical acts so crazy and I picked every single song that played at the wedding and when it came to their music they did something similar Dylan said it was a very it was a very big deal that they had certain songs play in certain mood set because of the playlist so they had a DJ and the DJ was supposed to play like classical songs and standards during dinner like we're talking Frank Sinatra stuff and then all of a sudden in the middle of dinner they start playing get low by Flowrider okay well you know what i say about this what if you want that stress to be taken away hire
Starting point is 00:37:52 the taylor pace band you mean well you mean the jordan con orchestra yeah which is under the umbrella of yeah they're under the umbrella of the jordan con orchestra just just hire them all of your wedding uh songs and dreams will come true so the problem here was that the dj there was a language barrier and one of one of Hannah's friends needed to go who spoke French and talked to him about the fact that he was not playing the right songs because at
Starting point is 00:38:21 first they were like okay so get Lois playing but like I'm sure he'll get back on track after that and then next was run it by Chris Brown and then Hannah's like okay where's the Frank Sinatra so that's when they had to go up to him and be like can we just calm this down a bit
Starting point is 00:38:37 like come on people are trying to chill here they have their champagne and Hannah I don't think, I don't think they're dropping it low right now. Maybe they are. Who knows? Well, Ashley, that's all the headlines we have for today. That's a lot of headlines. Some big headlines.
