Welcome back to Almost Famous. It's Ben and Ashley together. We got to catch up on what's been happening in Bachelor Nation. Ashley, I saw on Instagram that you were a part of a. fashion show recently. Yes, it's so cute. It's called the Glimmer Gala. It's not just cute.

It's also very, a worthy cause. So it's called Glimmer for Hope, Glimmer of Hope. That's the foundation. And this is the second of, the second one I've been part of, third one that's existed. And basically this girl, Allie, was good friends with this girl who passed away because of leukemia. And she created this foundation, which gives bald American girl dolls to girls,

to girls who are getting chemo treatments. And so not just that, but she, like, kind of creates girl days for them to go have shopping sprees at American Girl, to have photo shoots where they all get all glitzy and they have their matching dolls. So Jared and I got to participate along with all of my castmates from the Real House on Island. All of that. We all got together for this. And there was no drama. And I'm so grateful for that. Any cameras? No cameras. It was a really nice, peaceful thing for a great cause. I had my girl that I walked with, her name was Liv, and she is killing it.

She's just got her nine-month scans back, totally clean. And so it's for girls who are in remission and girls, actually boys too. Jared walked with a boy who has brain cancer. So, so sad. But it's a night of celebration for them. and to have them live, you know, like a model day for them to just have a big party. It was really sweet. That's awesome.

Sounds like an incredible event and how cool is it that the real housewives of Rhode Island were able to join them. Hey, Ashley, we have headlines to break down today. The first one is the valleys, Jasmine Good and Melissa Marie are married. They've been together for a while, Ashley. My sources are telling me five years. Yes, they've been together for so long, and it was all doc- well, not all of it, but a lot of it's been documented on the Valley. So we know Jasmine from Nick's season of The Bachelor. And why is she so, like, what poor girl is going to constantly be associated with hardcore Bachelor fans as the girl who tried to joke.

Nick, remember this? Oh, yeah, the chokie. Yeah, the chokie. Is that what she said? She just wanted to give him a little chokie or something? Yeah, yeah, that's true. So she moved over to the Valley. She was a friend of the cast basically for a while.

Then she became a more prominent member. And then her relationship with Melissa was highlighted. They got married in New Jersey. I feel like I know that she was a cheerleader before going on The Bachelor. I feel like she is a Jersey girl, or at least from that area. And they got married at the Cross Keys Estate in New Jersey on Saturday. So congratulations to them. There was lots of Bachelor Nation invited in attendance was Alexis Waters,

Jamie King, Daniel Lombard, Brittany Page, and Rachel Lindsay. And then some Bravo friends as well, Sheena Shea and her husband Brock. And then we have Kristen and Luke from the Valley, as well as Tom Shorts, Brittany Cartwright, all made their way from Southern California

to go see them walk down the aisle in New Jersey. And congratulations to the very happy couple. Hey, Ashley, can I ask a dumb question? Yeah. Why is it called the Valley if it's like filmed in New Jersey? Oh, no, no, no. So the Valley is filmed out in the Valley in California. And it is this, it's kind of a spinoff of Vanderpump rules because the Vanderpump kids kind of got older and they had families.

And then they moved out to the Valley. So now it documents their life outside of what? Hollywood. Ah, thank you for that clarity. I'm very confused. Next headline is this. Charity Lawson says she and fiancé Doughton are in the trenches

of wedding planning. So they went to the knot, you know, the magazine, the whole Shadig that is the knot. Their 30th anniversary gala in New York City and they were asked if they could tease about their upcoming nuptials said it's happening this year.

Charity said the wait is finally over for a lot of you guys. Yes, we are in the trenches. wedding planning. And you know what? The trenches of wedding planning is somewhere you sometimes want to be when you're in the trenches of parenthood because it is easy. It's easy. I know it seems overwhelming, but the trenches of wedding planning is light. So she said that they're excited about their DJ. This is when Dotten really got excited. He said that swag surfing. I don't even know what that means. It's something cool. Our DJ is going to be insane. That's swag surfing.

and I feel so old that I don't know what he's referring to. And I know that on the other side, Heather's like, Ashley, get with it. I actually, I will tell you this. I shouldn't say actually. This isn't a surprise. The two of them on social media are so cute together. I know. They're so gorgeous.

I forget they're not married. That is like kind of my, like they act like such a cute, newly wedded couple because their stuff is so fantastic. They both are wonderful to be around. I'm pumped for them to get married. What a cool success story from the show. But I honestly have forgotten that they haven't already gotten married

because I just can't picture of two of them. Yeah, with any other way. In fact, I know Joey was on her season. He became The Bachelor next. I feel like he'll be at the wedding. Yeah. But outside of that, it doesn't even feel like she had eyes for anybody other than Joey.

Yeah, no, no, no. And I thought that I was, well, it was one of those seasons where I was quite certain it was going to be gotten. It was gotten the whole time. You knew who it was going to be. Yeah. Yeah. So she, you know what's interesting?

I said since you have gotten married and since I've gotten married, the new thing is now three wedding dresses. And Charity says that she's going to have at least three outfit changes. Well, good for her. I'm like, jealous. I'm like, damn, that's what I needed, the third outfit. To really, you know, I would have had the two that I had, and then I would have probably done one sexier one and less of a ball gown.

Jess had two. And you hear, and you say three and you're jealous, I hear three, and I'm like, that seems so inconvenient. It is. It's going to take you away. And I already missed when I went for my alpha change. I missed, or yeah, I think it was my outfit change. I missed my heart will go on.

And I'm like, I missed. My heart will go on at my own wedding. That's just absolutely wrong. I saw Jared dancing alone during that. And more details about their wedding. She says it's going to be super traditional, timeless, very romantic, kind of like on the simpler end, like they want it to be intentional, intimate, not about glitz and glam.

And they want, you know, to really realize that you're there for the intention of them. getting married. And she said that they're doing a traditional look when the couple is announced and that their, this is interesting, their outfits will play a cultural homage to his heritage. And that one of these looks at least will be coming straight from Nigeria. I can't think about him without thinking about how tall he is. He is so tall. Me, neither. Is he like 6.7? He's 6.8 and she's not tall. She's like Jess's height. So it's wild. but like it I can't I can't think of him he's such a great dude but I literally cannot think of him without thinking about how tall he is he's so tall me neither me neither he's so tall and also guys just letting you know that I have now been informed by Heather who actually didn't know what the song was but it's it's a song called fast life youngsters

Don't really know how it happened, but she said she smelled smoke, went outside to investigate, and sure enough, a window sill was on fire. She immediately ran inside, grabbed a petunia? What the heck, Jill? And then called 911, then went back out there with a hose. minimal damage

everyone's okay she said PSA if you smell smoke go check it out if I didn't investigate it right away could have been much worse just I'm my assumption here and again I should have texted her

before getting on here is that she lives in Newport it was one of the older adorable houses buildings and the wood probably caught on fires because it was so damn hot and it's just like a little like old fire like it's like an old wood.

Oh, like a reflection from the window. Yeah. Yeah. Well, I mean, it's obviously, her smart and quick reaction is fantastic. It's classic jail. My parents, three houses down from them, just last week, burnt to the ground because of a lightning strike

and the people weren't home so nobody could react quickly. And so this is like, I mean, obviously I live in Denver where it's a conversation all the time. very dangerous, stay alert, and make sure our PSA would be make sure that you have your fire extinguishers. In fact, I have one in almost every room. I was just checking to make sure I have one in my office. So responsible. Here because you need to, you might need to act quick like Jill did.

Speaking of acting quick, feels like we just got off of a season of Paradise because that's the last time we saw anybody from Bachelor Nation on our televisions. Coming off of that season of Paradise, the almost famous podcast. was lucky enough to do a finale reunion show with so many of the contestants. That season led Dale Moss and Kat to become a couple. However, they have split publicly. Pretty bad fallout, it seems like. But it hasn't stopped Dale Moss from looking for love in all the places. The headline reads this way.

Dale Moss looks for love on TikTok. Who doesn't it? With new hot and single post. this is everything you hate. It's a, I hope it works for him. You know how we've always talked about self-describing? I'm just super mind-blown that somebody would self-describe themselves as hot and single. You know what?

And then post it. I wish I had that confidence. I am envious of that confidence. it would be it'd be really cool if I would walk into a room like hey guys I know I'm hot and I'm married

I'm hot and married and I'm like you guys should all respect that like I just want you to know that I'm going to communicate that to you oh wait a second Dale didn't post it of himself he was posted by a New York City

matchmaker of sorts her profile says she's helping you find your person and your people in New York City. And her email is live at hot and social.com. So she is around looking for hot guys in the city. And then she puts a description. This is like absolutely the thing that Dale finds himself on. This doesn't seem like it was an organic find for this girl to find. Dale at a bar and then just like, oh, look at this, a random guy that I came across.

Like, this sounds like it was scouted. There's a lot of those New York City accounts where they try to make it seem like there's, like, oh, my God, I just bumped into you on the street. Tell me about yourself. And then it's like a celebrity. Or it's like, hey, can I check out your house? And then you go up to this $6 million loft, right? This sounds like one of those things.

where it was maybe a little bit planned. But no, they'll not call himself hot and single. The description that this girl gave him was that he was hot and single, 37 years old. 6.3 goes back and forth between New York City and Miami. He's an entrepreneur looking for a girl with a big heart, a sense of self, a life that she's passionate about. Somebody who's ready to build a life together

also loves sculpting pomade by Moroccan oil. So is this like a sponsored ad? No, it's actually, I know, right? Is this an undercover sponsored ad? Feels like it might be. It's like one of those times where you get the paparazzi to come take pictures of you because you're wearing something that a brand gave you. And the brand sends the paparazzi out when they know, you know, like it's all scheduled.

Yeah, happens me all the time. Settle of ads. Yeah, Target and Walmart are really hitting up like the paparazzi say, hey, been stopped in the day. What kind of show? shaving cream to you buy. He bought some deodorant. He's, I know he's going to be wearing it this afternoon. Mark Anderson and Barbara Lynn Wood spark marriage rumors.

This is kind of a big deal. So Mark Anderson, you know Kelsey Anderson's dad, who we know from the Golden Bachelorette. He's been dating Barbara Lynn Woods from Wendry Hill for quite some time. So Barbara's daughter is also an actress, and her name is Natalie. and she was doing an interview. And she said, my mom is dating this guy. And hopefully they get married soon.

Said, I feel lucky to have my mom and my sisters and my new family, too. Mark and his incredible family. We have this amazing support system. Wowie Zally! Cute! And they would not have met if it weren't for the Golden Bachelorette, you know, because she was, you know, she was in Hollywood girly. I don't know where she lives.

Taylor Frankie Paul says she's gone emotionally numb amid the legal drama with ex-Dakota Mornson. I just want to comment on this, actually.

But, you know, we did the Frankie Fridays leading up to what we thought was going to be the premiere of the Bachelorette. Can you believe how many Friday Fridays we did? We did so many. And it felt like the common theme through that, you know, not only was updates about Taylor, but it was us being concerned for her well-being. I mean, obviously, we now know a little more context to why that season of life was so difficult. Yes. No matter what side you're on and no matter what, you know, who you feel strongest about,

it was a difficult time and it should be for all parties involved. But it felt like, She was struggling. And we were saying, hey, you need to take a break. Like, no matter what here, we don't know the context. We don't know the details. You got to take a break, Taylor. This isn't going to get better.

Well, now we're months removed from our last Taylor Frankie Friday or Frankie Friday. And she's still saying she's emotionally numb. Human to human. Like, we, she's got to figure that, like, we've got to get her some help. I hope she's getting herself some help. some people are surrounding her getting her some help. This is not good. She's lived many months now in an emotionally numb place, it seems.

Yeah, she definitely seemed emotionally numb when she was posting on Instagram after the cancellation of her show. But then maybe she's just using it. I don't know. I don't know what's going on. But why this is a thing is because a fan asked her on Instagram said this. I'm going through your exact situation. I wish you could talk more.

on it, I'm so stuck. And then she said, I don't know what to say anymore other than I'm right there with you. Wish I could be more helpful. Not sure when the nervous system switched. I can't even cry lately, which is very unlike me. There's an emotional overwhelm or numbness. Both are coping mechanisms. So I guess, yeah, I guess she still is like going through this.

I don't even feel like I can elaborate because I don't even, I can't even relate. I don't know how you go through a situation like this. I can't claim to relate. all I'm saying is it feels like most of our updates about her, even during Frankie Fridays, were her telling us through social media that she's not well. Like she's telling us. It's not like we have to read through the lines. She told us she's not well.

She's not well. We're months removed from that. She's still not well. And I get why, right? She's going through a situation right now where the courts are trying to figure out who's right, who's wrong, who's guilty, who's not. And I know we do have, I think, a date here for her next custody hearing. It says July 8th. So on July 8th, the next custody hearing, and we don't know yet if during that hearing we're going to get a final, like, verdict, or a final answer on who's getting custody, who's not, how is it going to work?

But this has dragged on for a long time. We haven't been covering it because there hasn't been a lot of information out there. but I mean we're still on this precipice, Ashley, where people are rumoring that this show is still going to air, which would be a whole new wave of attention publicity for not only her but also Dakota, who's obviously involved in this as well. I mean, this is dragging on.

Well, right now she doesn't have custody. She has unsupervised visits, which obviously was a win when they were last in. court a couple weeks ago. But the hope is for her that in July, the July 8th one date, then she'll get custody back in some capacity. And then perhaps that is one that will be like, well, if she has custody of her kids, I guess we can air the show. If she gets custody, Ashley, the courts decide that. Do you think the show will come back on? Yeah, I think it's going to be on Hulu at August. This is just like, well, my God has been. No matter what?

whispering to me oh no i'm assuming she's going to get custody back okay so that's kind of the like what you're think is like the hinge point she get custody back show comes back if she doesn't no show yeah okay but i don't know when like that stops like yeah they keep you know saying like okay this is what we've decided down this day let's reconvene in a month and then it's like uh what month if it doesn't happen do they just not ever go forward with it which i think for some reason to me says August, which is like six months after it was supposed to air. And for some reason, also is like saying, hello, I'm still summertime, summer TV, Bachelorette, Bachelor in Paradise, window. Yeah. It'll be interesting. We'll keep updated. We'll follow along with how things go.
