This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcasts with IHartRadio.
Hey guys, welcome to the Almost Famous Podcast.
Ben and I were just chatting in a separate episode about all our behind the scenes experiences at the Golden Wedding.
And now we want to talk about the headlines.
lines that were created there and other bachelor headlines from this week.
So kick it off, Ben.
Well, the first one is a disappointing one.
This is the reason why.
The Golden Bachelor producers give extremely disappointing update on The Bachelorette spin-off.
So if you guys remember a couple weeks ago, we shared on here that some of the Bachelor
producers were at like a pop culture convention a couple weeks ago.
And they said that they definitely want to make a Golden Bachelorette house.
happen. But right now we are being told by ABC's EVP, Rob Mills, who is also at the wedding,
that it likely won't be happening soon. He says, we will take time the time we need to be
thoughtful and meticulous with the same approach for any subsequent seasons. He said that
any new golden content will be handled with the same careful touch they gave to the season one
of the Golden Bachelor.
The Golden Bachelor's EP,
Jason Erlich,
said that the Golden Bachelorette
will likely look quite different
than the Golden Bachelor.
He explained that the production team
hopes that we do get the opportunity
and that we get the same genuine feeling
of reasonable people looking for love.
And in trying to recreate the same genuine feelings,
he says it's likely that the producers
won't want to rush into anything
surrounding the Golden Bachelors,
Despite there being a demand for the series in a massive amount of buzz, Ben, this just keeps coming back to your theory that somebody in this ABC world actually doesn't want it to happen.
It's my theory and I'm sticking to it.
And your theory is this because Ben thinks that they don't want the show to overpower the main bachelor and that they're worried that they'll never.
be able to compare to Gary in this season. And I still feel like this is silly, but I think
that there's truth to it. Yeah. I think it's silly. I think it's an unwarranted fear. I do think
it's a risk, though. And if you listen to our last episode, I go into what I hope out of the
Golden Bachelor comes, which is a different vibe. It's, it is the genuineness. It is the care.
It is the love. It is the emotion. And not the drama and not the comedy of it all.
there can be pieces of that.
But overall, I think it's important that this golden franchise stays separate in a lot of ways.
And it brings in a different demographic of people who are willing to sit down with their kids and watch it or with their adult parents and watch it.
I would compare it to this.
I think Gary and Teresa's time together is going to be magical forever.
But I would also say that Trista Sutter and Ryan's story was magical and has been legendary forever.
And it didn't take away from the next few seasons of The Bachelorette.
In fact, I think it really kind of launched The Bachelorette into a different stratosphere
and kind of a different expectation for the show where people could find love.
And it wasn't just about getting out there and dating and doing ridiculous things on TV.
and so I think if they if they care for it well I do believe that Gary and
Teresa's season will be always a one that we remember always one that we talk about
but I don't think it will overshadow the future I do though see the risk and it kind
of swallowing up the Bachelor and Bachelorette because people will watch this over
the Bachelor and Bachelorette and I think that does take some time and
When do you want that to happen?
I think it's inevitable that it will happen.
But when do you want it to happen?
How many more seasons of The Bachelor and Bachelor can you get out?
I just don't think they should see it as a problem if they found something that's more exciting to people because it has been 25 seasons of The Bachelor.
It's like that is the longest stretch of seasons ever.
Throw the white flag and say, hey, this was a good run.
Yeah.
I get it.
Even if I think it's okay to have, if they can fit it in schedule, I think it's totally
fine to just be like, all right, we have Bachelor and Bachelor and then we have the Golden.
And okay, no big deal if the Golden is actually more popular than the original now.
I would look at it this way for me, from my perspective.
It's similar to Live Golf and the PGA tour right now.
Nobody really cares about that.
So I'll kind of summarize what I'm thinking.
There's a compromise here.
So maybe the Bachelor and Bachelorette only come once every other year.
and there's an anticipation and excitement for it again where we're like oh my goodness we get a year
of the bachelor and bachelorette or maybe um it comes every couple years whatever it is there's a way
that they both coexist uh the show needs to figure it out because i do think in the short term you got
to ride this wave of the golden people are excited and they're anxious and i think you have some great
possibilities for golden bacheloretts um i just want them to do it to me there's just a
lot of programming out there that has the same age range as the bachelor and if you guys
have found something that is different and you've started what is different and it's
you know really working financially just go with that and you can always move I don't want
them to but like if they needed to they could move the bachelor to to Hulu sure anyway I do I think
there's ways that it coexist but we don't sit in that reasoning committee okay let's fly through a
couple of these just quick hits.
ABC has Golden Ratings Night.
The Golden Watch, the Golden Bachelor
Wedding delivers solid numbers.
Yes, they're very solid.
Yeah, so overall,
averaged at, let's just say,
it's 4.968 million viewers.
So it's about 5 million viewers.
It topped all demos across
all networks.
That's, it's impressive.
It's good. It's great.
I don't know if the other Bachelor weddings
can, are on the same level.
Definitely.
Do you think they have been?
Yeah, because past shows years ago got a lot more viewers than they get today.
But this is a big success for our time.
With the comparable ratings that we're at right now.
Yeah.
Sure.
Yeah, big stuff.
The Golden Bachelor's Leslie smiles with Teresa Nist and Golden Wedding selfie.
The caption is, Love You.
So Leslie took a picture with Teresa and she says,
love you at Teresa and it's just the two of them being cute and posing and smiling.
She said like you said in our previous episode that she was very excited to be there to support
Gary and Teresa in their beautiful day and knew it would be really, really amazing.
I was able to talk to Leslie a couple minutes before we like entered into like the wedding
festivities and I talked to her about how awful her hospitalization was just days.
prior to going to the wedding,
this poor lady,
she was in the hospital
for five days
with a bowel blockage.
She had full surgery
to remove it.
I'm like,
I'm like,
Leslie,
you are a trooper.
Here you are just dolled up
in this gown
at a social event
and like at one
that's emotional for you
and you just went through this,
that's immense.
Yeah, that's impressive.
She did great
and she was a great
attitude the whole time.
I do believe she was happy to be there.
My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly, and now I'm seriously suspicious.
Well, wait a minute, Sam.
Maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit.
Well, Dakota, it's back to school week on the OK Storytime podcast, so we'll find out soon.
This person writes, my boyfriend has been hanging out with his young professor a lot.
He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her.
Now he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone.
Now hold up, isn't that against school policy?
That sounds totally inappropriate.
Well, according to this person, this is her boyfriend's former professor and they're the same age.
And it's even more likely that they're cheating.
He insists there's nothing between them.
I mean, do you believe him?
Well, he's certainly trying to get this person to believe him because he now wants them both to meet.
So, do we find out if this person's boyfriend really cheated with his professor or not?
To hear the explosive finale, listen to the OK Storytime podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.

What would you do if one bad decision forced you to choose between a maximum security prison
or the most brutal boot camp designed to be hell on earth?
Unfortunately for Mark Lombardo, this was the choice he faced.
He said, you are a number, a New York state number, and we own you.
Shock incarceration, also known as boot camps, are short-term, highly regimented correctional programs
that mimic military basic training.
These programs aimed to provide a shock of prison life,
emphasizing strict discipline, physical training, hard labor, and rehabilitation programs.
Mark had one chance to complete this program and had no idea of the hell awaiting him the next six months.
The first night was so overwhelming, and you don't know who's next to you.
And we didn't know what to expect in the morning.
Nobody tells you anything.

The Super Secret Bestie Club podcast season four is here.
And we're locked in.
That means more juicy cheesement.
Terrible love advice.
Evil spells to cast on your ex.
No, no, no, no.
We're not doing that this season.
Oh.
Well, this season, we're leveling up.
Each episode will feature a special bestie, and you're not going to want to miss it.
Get in here!
Today we have a very special guest with us.
Our new Super Secret Bestie is the divo of the people.
The devil of the people.
I'm just like text your ex.
My theory is that if you need to figure out that the stove is hot, go and touch it.
Go and figure it out for yourself.
Okay.
That's us.
That's us.
My name is Curley.
And I'm Maya.
In each episode, we'll talk about love, friendship, heart breaks, men, and of course, our favorite secrets.

Okay, two more Golden Wedding headlines.
Tasha Adams and Caitlin Bristow share a table at Golden Wedding.
This comes after, obviously, the New Year's Zach Clark picture drama.
We talk a lot about this in our previous episode because I was actually at that table.
I get to talk about the kind of dynamic here.
but kind of go through this headline
and I can clear up again Ashley
to kind of answer the question of
was there actual drama
was their actual drama
the answer is no
but no no
in the clip that there's on social media
you can see like
everyone's just kind of hanging around
no one is
having drama with anyone
like everybody was happening
no never
There was not any drama to speak of.
Everybody, I don't even know if they had to be mature in the situation.
I felt like everybody was just having fun and sharing the same space and doing what they needed to do.
It was not weird at all.
Sitting there, I thought maybe it could be.
Again, as I mentioned the last episode, I was like, I wanted to have a front of receipt when the first time they saw each other again.
And now I'm sitting at the same table.
This could be interesting, but now, nothing crazy.
We're also pretty big with very large centerpieces.
So if they weren't like a couple seats away from each other, they were pretty well blocked.
It worked out.
But yeah, I mean, everybody had fun.
Again, it was, you know, Tachan, Caitlin are both friends of mine and friends of yours.
Obviously, I know more about Caitlin because I was on her season.
And so, you know, we kind of buddied up with a few others.
and Tasia obviously had other friends there as well.
We just had a great time.
There was nothing weird ever going on.
I know it's disappointed to some.
Sorry, nothing to report on.
But after the wedding, there is a headline that came out that is about Caitlin as well.
It says Caitlin Bristow is disappointed in ex-Jason Tardik's victim mentality after
Zach Clark rumors.
You and I talk to her about this.
We'll just say exactly what we told her in real life.
Okay, but the headline is this.
She got on her podcast.
She said it's really disappointing to me
the way that Jason's kind of leaning
into this victim mentality.
I don't want to dismiss that he's hurting.
I don't want to dismiss that his feelings are valid
and his feelings are hurting.
I have talked to him so openly and honestly.
We have been so transparent with each other
to have respect for one another
so that she's confused
because she thought that there was such a good space
following their split being at,
you know, Chris Harrison's wedding,
said that we like speak so kindly about each other.
We had so much fun at that wedding.
And then he came over the other day and I gave him a house tour.
And I found myself to be like, oh, I want to invite him and I want to show him the new house.
Jason posted something to his Instagram.
I think it was the second of January.
He said the first official day of 2024, you could just see it in his face.
It was like supposed to be like, oh, man, is this really happening to me type thing?
He was like, it was all alluding to the fact that like, like,
Like, oh, wow, okay, so this new year is going to start off with my ex being seen with another guy from the franchise.
And you could just, you could tell.
You could tell that it was a subtle like, wow kind of comment.
Definitely like a jab.
Yeah, but it wasn't like, it wasn't 100% in your face.
Like you didn't say any names, whatever, but it was, yes, a little bit of a jab.
So, you know, Caitlin just, she feels like Jason's playing the victim a little bit on social media.
she thinks he's trying to get attention
I
like I said earlier
Betta and I were just kind of like
you know
to me I was like
it is quite honestly
it is what it is like I know
but
it's not that bad
that's what I said
he's making a little comment
yeah he's bringing it up
but it could be worse
it's not that bad
I guess I can understand his perspective
is probably what I'm saying.
Like, it's just, like, it does,
it's, that's kind of, it sucks.
It's always going to suck when you see, like,
your ex, especially when you had, like,
a public relationship with a public figure,
and they're moving on,
and perhaps, in front of your face,
it's just going to suck.
And, yes, like, people will go out and be like,
the most appropriate thing to do is just to keep your mouth shut
and never bring it up at all.
But, like, sometimes it's just, like,
not in your human nature to do that.
What do you think?
I think that there's obviously still feelings, probably from both sides.
Like, they care about each other.
And when you care about somebody, you're going to get hurt more.
It's just going to hurt more when things like this happen.
I understand Caitlin's point of view.
And I understand Jason's point of view.
Caitlin is probably saying, in her mind, I didn't ask for this.
I didn't post this picture.
I didn't promote this.
Jason, if I would have, I probably would have.
maybe tried to give you a heads up, but this came out, not to something I wanted, you know,
came out randomly. And I've had to deal with that too. Also, Jason is probably saying,
hey, I'm really hurt. And does he want his followers to know that? Sure. Is that right or wrong?
I don't know. But it is, it's messy when you're in the public eye. I've been through this.
You know, there is many times that you just have to keep your mouth shut. And I think that's maybe the best
lesson I learned was there's no good that comes from speaking out. There's no winning here.
Yes, you're right. There's no winning in any way. Caitlin's not going to win this. Jason's not going to win this.
What you need to do is just bite your tongue and pick a few friends that are not a part of any type of
platform and start to talk to them about it and voice your frustrations to them. And you know what?
Like go punch a punching bag to like relieve some like stress. Whatever you got to do.
do it's it's just best to to not speak about it because here's the truth years later you're
going to be a lot happier you didn't say anything than if you did so do you think that he is
playing the victim here is he playing the victim playing the victim feels like he's
intentionally trying to get sympathy you think it's different than her saying she said he's
leaning into a victim mentality she said well i will say this when she said the word
disappointed comes to mind my my heart sunk because i just remember as a kid which we all do is when
your parents go i'm not mad at you i'm just disappointed in you you're like oh come on like
that that hurts so much worse like just be mad at me like just be angry yelled me for like a little bit
um i don't i don't know if jason's intentionally playing into this victim mentality
i i can't answer that but i mean it definitely i would just if i if i was really close with jason
and I was to give him advice, I would say to hold your tongue and to not publicly be a victim,
but in a sense, like with your friends, feel free to.
Like with your close friends, like, you need some sympathy and some care and some love
and some extra attention.
Ask for it.
But social media isn't going to give it to you because what social media does is it picksides.
And pick sides is never healthy in a breakup, but it's never healthy in a relationship.
And I would not open up the floodgates for social media.
to have to pick sides on who's right or who's wrong or who's more her or who's not that just
gets messy and it's not fun for anybody nobody again nobody wins there's no winning out of that
there's no healing from that like when you get in a breakup like this publicly there's a moment
where the band-aid gets kind of ripped off right you're kind of healing you've got the cut
already from the breakup you stuck a band-aid on it you're hoping for it to heal you've been
waiting a few weeks and then all of a sudden something like this happens
where your partner moves on, which is totally fair to do.
Nobody's blaming anybody for moving on from this relationship.
It's over.
They've ended it.
Like there's no reason why they can't move on.
Then that bandit gets ripped off and it hurts and it stings for a while.
But that's the start of then regrouping and re-healing and getting back out into the world again.
And it sucks.
I've been through it.
It hurts.
But you get better and life gets better.
and I think this is just like that started that
and we're seeing it publicly.
Yeah, okay, let me just reiterate my thoughts now
because I do not think it's a huge deal
that Jason did this.
It's like kind of harmless
in the grand scheme of like, you know,
things you can do on social media
when you're in a sticky breakup.
But I do think he like kind of did it
intentionally.
Obviously he did it intentionally.
He posted it.
It's like intentional.
but I and I think that yeah maybe maybe he's like stirring up a little drama maybe he was
starting up a little bit of teams sure the question you have to ask is did he do it to hurt
Caitlin to get her attention again no he did it for sympathy for himself okay and I in in a lot
of ways I say okay and what we told what what I told Caitlin and I'll share this publicly was
you know nobody cares about this more than you do like
I know it feels like the world cares so much
and they're losing sleep over this relationship
and this breakup.
Truth is, nobody is, like at this point.
Yeah.
Everybody's, you know, everybody's moved on.
And so just ignore the stuff that frustrates you
and ignore the things that come out
that you're that you're kind of like irritated by
because you have to move on.
You have to move on.
Good advice, Ben.
And they will.
They will.
They'll move on.
They're doing, I mean, Caitlin's,
She seems, Caitlin seemed really good this week.
And she was just a lot of fun.
I know she's, she feels like the world's coming down around her probably.
Well, at least that's what it seems like from her podcast.
But she's holding up.
She is.
My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly.
And now I'm seriously suspicious.
Oh, wait a minute.
Sam, maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit.
Well, Dakota, it's back to school week on the OK Storytime podcast.

Okay, last headline.
Not a fun one, not one that I'm enjoying talking about, but it is a big headline in Bachelor Nation.
We were waiting for it.
We told you that we would talk about it once we got clarification on it.
The Bachelorette's Rachel Lindsay breaks her silence after Brian filed for divorce.
So she waited to get on her podcast to talk about it.
She said, I didn't think I would get emotional.
First off, I just want to say thank you for the people who reached out.
I'm still trying to reply to people.
You never know how great your circle is until you see all the people that reach out to you and love
you said obviously it's a difficult time if you've read the headlines you probably are wondering
why I would even work but to be honest with you I need to distract myself from myself and the best
way I do that is doing something that I love and I love higher learning the podcast and she said
that she's not going to get into details of the divorce right now said I will eventually but now is
not the time I'm just trying to take it day by day so she is obviously speaking on our platforms
There's, I mean, geez, it seems to oversimplify it,
but there's just a lot of pain obviously involved in the situation.
Really sad.
This, you know, maybe this would be like an unfair statement for me,
but what's what I'm feeling right now.
So I'm going to say it.
Talking about Caitlin and Jason, you know, I don't love it.
Like, it's not great that they broke up,
but it's been a couple weeks now.
Like, they're both moving on.
It's been months.
They're both obviously funds.
They're functioning.
It was a breakup.
We didn't want to see it happen.
We were sad that they broke up because we liked them as a couple.
But they broke up.
They broke up.
They weren't married.
I do think that there's a difference.
Everybody has a breakup in their life, right?
This one just feels like I don't like when I saw this headline.
And again, because Rachel's breaking her silence, it is something we need to speak about because we told people we would or we at least fall along.
I just don't like to talk about.
It's just not something I'm in like, it's just not something that I'm like,
even comfortable talking about because there's a lot of stuff here behind the scenes that you and I
both don't know that is obviously existing and happening. We can't even say, hey, like, yes, we saw
this, we saw this coming. No, we didn't. We had no clue other than that random person on
Instagram. Yeah. The what we thought was a bot. What we thought was a bot. It was actually some
type of fortune teller. Um, so we'll just leave it with their words, I think.
think with Rachel's words here is is that it's very emotional it's a hard time it's you know this isn't
something that anybody was wishing or wanting when you enter into this really it feels a little less
mutual than uh you'd want just feels icky to talk about uh but that's what we have we have rachel's
statement on her higher learning podcast we have brian's obviously statement on instagram and then
the fact that he did file these divorce papers that's what we know right now we don't know where it'll
go here we'll continue to keep you updated but we know that rachel
is going to talk about it eventually she says so yeah well when she does we'll be talking about it
here then uh during the almost famous headlines uh final fun headline this incredible uh little
uh i don't even know if it's a little i have no clue how big it is but this dog shelter um
did this really fun thing uh they named dogs their next round of adoptees after um bachelor contestants
It's called Waldo's Rescue.
I have a dog here.
You do have a dog?
I have a dog.
He's cute.
He kind of looks like waiting in.
Oh my gosh.
That's so cute.
Okay, so I only got a screenshot this morning, Jill Chen.
She texted me.
She was like, you have a dog named after you on Petfinder.
So all I have is the screenshot.
It's me, Jesse Palmer, and Emily Maynard on this screenshot.
So that's so cool that you have one, too.
Yeah, so Matt James has one.
Caitlin Bristow has one.
We have one for cats.
Olivia Creedy has one. Gary has one. I have one. Allie Fittitowski, Becca Tilly, Jordan Rogers, Katie Thurston. That's all I see on here. I'm sure there's more that just are in a separate post here. So we all have to share this so that these doggies get adopted. Yeah, get Ben Higgins adopted. He needs love more than most. Reality Steve also has one, which is wild. They're just really going all out here. And I think,
think maybe one of the hopes here's something i do know i hope i'm not oversharing uh but i got a
message from olivia creedy who was uh on season 20 of the bachelor she says this the rescue i
adopted my dog from just did a transport of dogs from georgia and they named one after you
she was also asking if i was willing to share and of course i was you can see it on instagram i think
it's super cute super fun go check them out you just like looking at dogs it's
It's worth it. And Ben Higgins is the cutest.
Okay. I'm going to go look on your Instagram and see what your dog looks like.
Oh, they're also in New York and in Southern California.
Okay. So that's up. Olivia lives in New York. So I'm assuming she adopted from the New York shelter.
Anyways, we'll be back. A lot of episodes for you. We're going to keep putting out episodes from the Golden Wedding.
We did a lot of interviews there, both Ashley, myself and Trista, kind of breaking down our thoughts on the wedding.
We got to talk to Leslie, of course, on her thoughts on B.
there. We also got to talk to Susan and Joan, both names that are getting thrown around in addition
to Leslie for the Golden Bachelor app. Also, we want to remind you, we are starting a whole new
segment, whole new episode that we're really pumped about here at the Almost Famous Podcast.
It's called Almost Good Advice. And Almost Good Advice is going to take your questions from everything
from relationships to life, to friendships, to how do you train a dog, anything you want?
and we're going to break them down and talk about them here on the Almost Famous Podcast,
giving you almost good advice. Also, when we don't have good advice,
I expect us to bring in experts who do. So if you have any questions that you've just been
tossing over, we can't wait to speak with you about it. This is going to be a lot of fun for us.
We're going to try our best. We're going to take it very seriously. We're also going to have
a lot of fun with it. So please send in your questions. You can do it DM or Ben and Ashley at
iHeartRadio.com. And tomorrow our interview with faith comes out. So stay tuned for that.
And until next time, we love you guys. I've been Ashley. And I've been Ben. We'll talk to you soon.

What do you get when a true crime producer walks into a comedy club?
Answer, a new podcast called Wisecrack,
where a comedian finds himself at the center of a chilling true crime story.
Does anyone know what show they've come to see?
It's a story.
It's about the scariest night of my life.
This is Wisecrack, available now.
