Yeah.
And the whole audience,
he used to have these Christmas parties at his house,
and we would all just scream, sing Christmas carols.
He's got such a great voice.
Yeah.
He's such a great performer.
I'm sorry, Christmas carols?

Hmm, I don't know.
Should he be singing Christmas carols?
Well, yeah, no.
Holiday carols.

So listen, maybe.
Put yourselves in, well, you don't have to.
It's a Christmas concert.
Put yourself in the shoes of a parent whose kids have been at school,
this whole semester, and then there's a concert, right?
There's a Christmas concert.
And it's a tradition as old as time, right?
And you show up there and you hope to God that your kid does whatever they're going to do first so you can leave.
But it's a thing, right?
This is what we do.
As a culture, we go to the school, we sit in the auditorium and we watch our kids in some sort of Christmas concert.
But it's 2025.
So that doesn't happen anymore.
It doesn't?
Well, it should happen.
It should.
It didn't for the last few years.
So there was a, there's a tweet going viral right now.
A parent at the Toronto District School Board sent these pictures from,
they're calling it the winter concert at their child's school last week.
Eighth graders showcasing what they learned in history class.
So it's pictures of all the kids on stage.
And of course, their faces are blurred out because they're kids.
And they have signs that say,
Give the land back.
It's not your land.
Land back now and on and on and on.
It is some sort of reconciliation performance to where all these kids are essentially have been instructed by their teacher that they are living on land that is not theirs.
Wow.
Yeah.
It's at the Karen Kane School of the Arts in Otobico.
This is a public school.
and this is, I'm going to say it to our Minister of Education, Paul Calandra.
We got another one for you.
We got another one for you.
This is, I mean, this, come on, this is what you're teaching the kids.
First of all, it should be a Christmas concert.
Yeah.
It just should be.
And this is what they learned in history class, that they're on stolen land.
In Ontario, you're not on stolen land.
It's all treaty land.
Okay, so it's not stolen land.
So back the F off.
If that's what you're teaching, that's not education.
You don't know your history.
It's political.
It has no business in the school.
This is shameful and disgusting.
And parents who sacrifice all year long trying to get their kids to enjoy education
deserved better than this on their night when they went to see their kid.
They deserve far better than this than to sit there and watch their kids parade across a stage,
indoctrinated and brainwashed.
This is nonsense.
I thought that we were over this years ago.
I mean, they've stopped that's in the States with Trump,
but it seems that this, well, I mean,
the wokeism is live and well here in Canada
where they don't want to say, you know,
they don't want to say Merry Christmas
because it will offend someone.
But you can say every other holiday, apparently,
but Christmas is something that I don't,
I'm not a religious guy.
I don't celebrate Christmas for the religion.
I celebrate it for,
the family get together and it's just something you say it's it's a welcome thing at this time
you think about the history of this country as well multiple conversations on the phone yesterday
with people from all sorts of religions Jews Muslims and Catholics everyone that I spoke to
Jew Muslim they said Merry Christmas to me yeah I said Merry Christmas happy holidays I said
Happy Hanukkah to my Jewish friend I said and it was well received by everybody this is
garbage. This is garbage. This is why we're going to lose. This is why Canada's going to lose
because you are creating a generation of kids who don't know their history. You're teaching them
false history when they should be learning things that actually matter. And in that moment,
it wasn't about what they learned about reconciliation. We have plenty of reconciliation events over
the course of the year. This was about Christmas. This was about the holidays. This was about the end of
this part of the school year. This is
garbage. It's sort of like a couple of years
ago when I was listening to another radio
station and
they were having a debate and they were
saying, nope, you can't say snowman anymore.
Yes, you can. Of course you can.
It's, what do you think it is?
A snow person? Yeah. Yeah, that's
that's so stupid.
You can guess. You can guess where
of course. The channel that was. But no,
all of this is stupid. When, if
you're pushing that, you're stupid.
No, you're truly stupid.
You do not deserve the time of day.
You do not deserve to be engaged in conversation.
If you are saying that I can't say, snowman, you're too stupid to talk to.
I'm really angry about this.
You know, I thought you were going to get angry.
So I came up with some alternatives to the holiday classics.
It's Friday.
We try to go a little lighter on Friday.
But, I mean, this thing, it was so obvious.
And this is at the Karen Kemp.
Kane School of the Arts in Otobico that this happened with this, this winter concert.
So I don't know what kind of songs are singing there, but they're not going to sing jingle bells.
What would they sing other way? Holiday bells. They'll sing.
But what's the truth and reconciliation song that they're singing? Nobody knows.
I don't know. Is there a song? I don't know. It's probably something about how the church is
terrible and everything that has to do with the Christmas is terrible because it's Eurocentric and we have to
de-center the whiteness of it all. It's all. It's all garbage.

Colonized.
Honestly, there is a time and place and this is not the time and this is not the place.
Right?
Not everything has to be about this.
Jesus.
Gad Sad is a Canadian professor.
And he's written a book that's coming out soon, I believe, called Suicidal Empathy.
That's what this is.
This is so much empathy that we're willing to kill ourselves to demonstrate how empathetic we are.
This is, that's what this is.
This is an entire group of people who've lost their minds, lost their minds.
I live in a world where I'm proud of this country.
I live in a world where I'm proud of the traditions of this country.
I believe that Canada is a net positive in the world.
It has put far more good in the world than it has put bad.
There's tons of bad.
Name one country that doesn't have a bad pass.
Name one.
One, I'll wait.
Canada is a net positive in the world.
And at Christmas, we deserve, our kids deserve to celebrate Christmas,
celebrate the holidays, celebrate this moment that comes once a year
where they get to be kids.
So that giant tree that's in the mall?
Are we allowed to call it a, do people call it a Christmas tree?
Are the elves?
I mean, the elves?
I mean, what are you going to call the elves?
It's a holiday tree.
Santa.
I mean, you can't even, you probably can't even say Santa because Santa is Christmas.
Yeah.
And you can't say it's the holidays.
It's right in there the word Christmas

home to roost and next year is going to be a much different year of that, I am sure.

Yeah. You know what? You can believe what you want to believe. Yeah. Just teach the kids math because
we're failing in that. Yeah. Teach them how to read because that's not going great.
Teach them the history of this country.

and every now and then we do something on this show that I like to hang my hat on.
I'd like to be, I'll toot my own horn and say, I think we did something really good yesterday.
And I'm proud to have done this work with my team, led by my intrepid producer, Mike Droulet.
And so we'll give you the background on the saga that has been the Grimsby, Tim Horton's ordeal.
On Wednesday, the Tim Horton's drive-through location in Grimsby that employs about 20 people,
five of them were told they got to keep their jobs
but a week before Christmas they all got a letter saying
from the guy who owns that Tim Hortons
I'm selling this Tim Hortons to another guy
and so because of that
the week after New Year's is going to be your
or the end of January is going to be your final day of work
thank you very much for everything you've done and I wish you the very best
so of all the people who were keeping their jobs
three students two adults who've worked there for less than a year
That means 15 employees were told they'd be laid off.
A lot of them have worked there for 15, 20 years.
They live locally.
They don't have cars.
They're part of the community.
Everybody knows them.
Everybody knows them.
People were going through the drive-thru, and why is everyone crying?
Yeah.
And then they started calling us.
Yeah, so that's what happened.
So somebody got, a customer got word that this had happened and reached out to us.
And then we started making calls.
And we started making calls.
and we started all the shows here at 640
sort of took on a different aspect of it.
Excuse me, Greg Brady looked into the employment law of it all yesterday morning
where Leor Sanfiro, the employment lawyer, came on and said,
hey, you know what, this, I know that in the letter,
it suggested that the money that they're going to make their salary, really.
Because they were told their severance would be the next six weeks of work.
Yeah, so that's not severance.
That's just your salary for working.
And they would also get a $300 bonus.
If they stuck around.
Which is not.
Yeah.
And Lior Sanfiro said that it may not be as cut and dried as that.
And it may be as much as 18 months that you may be owed.
So don't sign anything.
Anyway, so this went back and forth.
We kept the pressure on.
You wrote to Tim Horton's corporate asking for clarification.
Very strongly worded letter.
And can I read it?
the email? So then, yes. So we spoke with people. And the thing is, we weren't
allowed to speak. The people from the Tim Horns were not allowed to speak because when
they are, when they sign to get a job there, they have to get a non-disclosure agreement.
So they're not allowed to talk about Tim's. The only time I've ever heard of non-disclosure
agreements is like Hollywood actors and big, big corporations like executives at corporations
who are involved with trade secrets.
Yeah.
Like, unless these people who are slinging the donuts and pour in the coffee
know something about the trade secrets involved in how to make the Boston cream.
It's Fight Club.
I don't get it.
You can work at Tim's, but don't talk about.
Don't talk about Tim's, right?
So there were a lot of people who were really scared to even open their mouths and say anything.
So we did the story yesterday.
We told you all about it yesterday.
And our phones lit up, our text messages lit up.
people were, in a word, furious.
Yeah.
How, they were angry.
They were angry.
Yeah, this is not right, they said.
This is not, Tim, who, who does this franchisee think he is?
Who does, how can Tim Hortons allow for something like this right before Christmas with people
who've been there for 15, 20 years?
So then, so then, yeah, we were going to continue putting the pressure on.
And, you know, kudos to Tim Horton's corporate.
Yep.
They got back to us shortly after our show, probably,
at one o'clock, I'd say. Yep.
And this is what
they wrote to us from the
desk of Michael Oliviera,
director of communications. He said, we have a Tim Horton's
franchisee in Grimsby, who is
planning to retire from the business and would like to sell his
restaurant to another local franchisee.
Following discussions between the two franchisees,
existing team members were told that their employment
would end with the sale of the restaurant.
And we all know that at this point, yes.
We believe this was a bad outcome.
The selling franchisee has
apologized to his team and provided letters
today that reconfirmed their continued employment.
Assuming the sale goes through, the buying franchisee has committed that he will maintain
the employment of all the existing team members.
So how about that?
So we believe this was a bad outcome.
Yeah.
Which is remarkable for any sort of a communications team to say, to admit, yes, you
know what, this should never have had happened, ever, ever, ever.
It feels like Tim's corporate came.
down and call these guys and says, you made a bone-headed decision, reverse it right now.
Because we're telling everybody you're reversing it right now.
So they were told the franchisee said that he was going to be providing letters.
But the key there is that the buying franchisee committed that he would maintain the employment
of all the existing team members.
So I then spoke, I spoke with some team members who are not allowed to speak on the record.
They're not allowed to speak on radio.
Although we do have somebody speaking with us in the next segment.
That's right.
That said, apparently in the letter, it did not say anything about them keeping their jobs afterwards.
So I think that that might just be because the current owner can't talk about the future owner's staffing.
But as far as I'm concerned, this is from corporate.
Yeah.
This is corporate has said, and I'll repeat it.
Assuming the sale goes through, the buying franchisee has committed that he will maintain the employment of all the existing team members.
So I guess the question is for how long, right?
Yeah.
Like what, listen, and unlike every other Tim Horton's in the country, this one is going to be under a microscope for a significant amount of time.
If he does it three months from now, you know what, it will be on it and we'll keep an eye on it.
But we did also get a copy of the letter from the owner, the current owner, to the employee's apology.
Where is that one? Right below. Right below the...
Dear whoever, I want to begin by saying, I am truly sorry for the stress caused by the notice you recently received from your employment. I understand how unsettling this must have been and I regret that the situation unfolded this way. I'm currently looking to sell the restaurant. Decisions were shared before everything was fully settled. I want to be very clear that your job continues as nothing about your pay, role, or terms of employment has changed. You're a valued member of our team and I deeply regret the impact this caused. Our focus now is on moving forward.
in a stable and positive way.

Listen, listen, we could sit here and harp and say all the things that were done poorly.
We did that yesterday.
Today is a day, I think, of taking stock and saying a lot of stuff was done right to fix this.
Yeah.
Well, I mean, they admitted wrongdoing.
Yeah.
Tim Horton's corporate did.
The owner has said this is a horrible scene.
But, you know, we here at the Ben Mulroney show believe that after all of the heartache that was passed on to his employees, perhaps a Christmas bonus.
If you're selling this Tim Hortons, which I'm told is a cash count, it does well because it's just a double drive-thru.
And not a lot of overhead there.
You're making millions on this sale.
What would you recommend that everyone get?
Like, I have no idea.
I don't know what would be an appropriate Christmas much.
Well, they were supposed to get $300 if they stayed on until January,
in the January.
I think they should be getting at least that as a Christmas bonus.
$500 each.
$500 each.
He should.
Yeah.
If he's selling this thing for millions, he can afford it.
15, 20 employees.
Yeah.
That's what you have.
Do right by them.
Do right by them.
Show them that they matter to you.
Show them that you're going to like take.
Because listen, the stress that they endured for a few days,
that's going to linger.
Yeah.
And if you want to really get rid of that bad taste in their mouth,
show them how generous you are
and show them what they really,
what they really mean to you with cold hard cash at Christmas.
Yeah.
Maybe Tim Horton's corporate should step up.
But I do want to say that this is a new feeling for me.
Like we've done it before.
We've highlighted some stories and some things have changed on the ground.
But to know that we helped move the needle,
and change the fate that some people thought they had at Christmas,
I'm really proud of us.
I'm really proud.
And I'm proud of you for bringing this to our attention
and for doing all that hard work.
I'm happy that it worked out that way.
And you're right.
I mean, it is the, it's...
It's never happened when I was in entertainment TV.
No, it didn't.

Welcome back to the Ben Mulrooney show, and of course we have been following this story
of the Tim Hortons in Grimsby, where it looks, for now, like everyone who lost their job
has gotten it back, and we're very happy that that is the state of play today.
However, we want to talk to someone on the inside, so please welcome someone we're going
to call Jonathan, that is not his real name.
Jonathan, thank you so much for joining us.
So you are an employee at this very Tim Hortons.
Yes, correct.
So take me back to the moment that you got that letter that said six weeks from now, you're out of a job.
Yeah, so basically told us on Monday that the owner came in and basically said that he was selling the store.
And as of January 30th, our employment was going to be terminated.
And that was pretty much it.
There was no rhyme or reason behind it, just he was selling the store.
And we were no longer needed after that.
And how did you as a team feel when you got that news?
Obviously, it was like a punch in the gut.
A lot of us have been there for, you know, 10, 15, 20 years.
Some of us, this has been, you know, our job straight out of high school or even in high school.
And we've just stayed there.
You know, Grimmonsby's a small town.
So it's kind of become like a family and to just going to get told right before Christmas, too, that, you know, you're losing either the only job you've ever known or basically your whole livelihood.
It was just, you know, complete shock and disbelief for no reason.
You know, we're one of the busiest locations in town and there was no good, justifiable reason for it.
So it was definitely like a lot of shock and distressed by it.
So once you got that news, did you all just go back to work and keep serving customers?
Some people left.
But yeah, I guess you kind of, you know, we were all obviously not happy, but, you know, we still went back and did the job and all that jazz.
And one thing that really surprised me as we were learning about this story was how Tim Horton's employees have to sign an NDA, a non-disclosure agreement.
Is that true?
Yes.
What sorts of secrets are you privy to that you are required to sign an NDA?
That's typical of celebrities and big corporations, but not people who serve the double-doubles.
It's definitely not, and I think it's just for them as a corporation to kind of safe face and not get any sort of backlash, right?
Like, especially with a story like this, it kind of just blew up, and I think they got such bad media press.
surrounded that they want to just kind of keep their unethical practices kind of hush, hush.
Yes, so you were told you lost your job. You've signed this NDA. You must have felt helpless.
I can't go on to social media. I can't tell the world what just happened to me. You must have felt
like there was no recourse. Definitely. And, you know, I think that's for the reason why we did go on
social media,
why we did talk to customers as they were coming in the store because what were
they going to do?
They were going to fire us.
We already.
Yeah,
we fired again.
We were going to lose.
Right.
At that point,
there was nothing to lose.
And if,
you know,
nothing came out of it,
then at least we could say we tried and we fought.
But,
you know,
clearly less than 24 hours later,
something good,
hopefully did come of it.
Yeah.
And,
and yeah.
Well,
it was a customer of yours that reached out.
to my producer, Mike, which is how we got the ball rolling on, on shining a light on just
this terrible thing that happened right before Christmas to you and your colleagues.
So it really speaks to the connection that you and your colleagues have with the community.
Honestly, the whole town of Grimsby is phenomenal.
Like, Grimsby is such a small town, and it really has been more up and coming in the past,
I guess, five or six years.
So, you know, just the fact that the community came together and really,
rallied so strongly for us was, you know, like we can't say thank you enough. It was definitely
phenomenal. And take me to the moment where the page was turned and you found out that your
jobs were saved. It was definitely a moment of happiness, a little bit of a sigh of relief,
but then it kind of turned to worry because, you know, yes, Tim Horton's release a statement
and we are going to keep our jobs.
But I can just imagine how pissed off the new owner is.
How much bad publicity he's got in the past 24 hours is people commenting.
And we've seen that with his other three locations of him coming in and taking over
and slowly reducing the hours of the original full-time staff there to the point where they're working
five days a week, eight-hour shifts to one day a week, eight-year.
hours and so yeah sure you know he he's going to say face and say yep you know you all keep
your jobs but he doesn't guarantee that we're all going to have a full-time hours well so so i
wanted to let you know there is a discrepancy between the letter that you received and the
correspondence that we had directly with tim horton's corporate so the letter that you got from the
owner apologized and said your jobs had been saved it didn't say anything about what would
happen after the sale. However, Tim's corporate wrote to us and said, quote, assuming the sale
goes through, the buying franchisee has committed that he will maintain the employment of all the
existing team members. So we've got that. We're going to pay attention. We're going to keep a spotlight
on your Tim Hortons to make sure that this letter by Tim Horton's corporate is the path forward for you
guys. Yeah, thank you. That'd be great. I think, you know, it definitely needs a spotlight for it.
You know, we're not the only kind of store that's felt like this.
And hopefully, you know, more stores that are experiencing this, you know, just kind of speak up.
Because clearly there, you know, is strength in numbers and people's voices being heard.
And, you know, it's definitely not right that you're able to just take over in the already established store and just be like, yep, everybody's gone.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So, but let's talk about the customers, that relationship that you have.
What has the sentiment been for everybody who comes up to the counter over the past couple of days?
They were just, they were, you know, equally pissed off, shocked.
Some customers cried, like, you know, we are the, I guess, consistent phase for them.
You know, some of them have been coming to tomorrow's your whole lives as well.
And, you know, you kind of see that familiarity to your day and it helps to brighten it,
whether you know you have a customer's order ready for them before they get to the counter
or you kind of just joke around with them and, you know, make a couple of seconds of their day better.
So they were, you know, definitely equally as outrage, you know, because, again, when the owner took
over the other stores in town, the service just decreased so badly there that they're like,
I'm not going back.
Like, your store is the only store that I go to, and I will drive.
five or ten minutes out of my way to go there.
So I think it just really speaks to how
how loyal the customers are to us specifically.
Listen, the difference, Jonathan,
between your store and any other store in Ontario
is that there are a lot of people watching,
a lot of eyeballs.
A lot of people making sure, wanting to make sure
that this story ends the way we were all promised it would end.
And I can promise you,
We, at the Ben Mulroney Shore, paying very close attention.
We're not going to take our eye off the ball.
I can promise you that.

He's going to be making millions for years.

Yeah, Mike, we thought we were going to have a different type of conversation with him today.
We thought that we were going to still have to keep the pressure on, but the pressure worked.
Well, it did.
And it's oftentimes, I hate to say, the squeaky wheel gets the grease, but if you don't stand up for yourself.
And I spoke with a couple of employees yesterday, and they said, yeah, they made the decision,
they were going to stand up for themselves.
They weren't going to go away quietly because it was just not really.
Right. They'd seen it happen at other stores.
Yeah. Well, listen, job well done, my friend.
Hey, after the break, we've got Joe Warmington with us because Toronto police don't always react quickly to protests, but they did in this one case.
We'll tell you all about it.
Welcome back to the Ben Mulroney show.
And in the city of Toronto, we've gotten used to a certain level of passive onlooking by the police when it comes to protests in this city.
We have heard some of the most disgusting, vile verbal attacks on not just Jews, but on Canada, on Israel and the United States, death to Jews, death to America, death to Canada, globalize the intifada.
There's only one solution, revolution, all that stuff.
And the cops, more or less, have kind of just sat there and allowed these people to run themselves ragged and then go home and do it again the next day.
So when I hear a story of the police responding very quickly to an issue, I got to wonder why.
So enter Joe Warmington, who's got the story for us.
Joe, welcome to the show.
Yeah, great to be with you.
It was just such a great interview you just did.
And I'm going to be following that up.
So if that gentleman, if the Tim Hortons and Gramsby is listening now,
email me because I wouldn't mind talking to him.
And I've been talking to your producer, Mike Jolay, about it as well.
And I've got a request into Tim Hortons.
I mean, that's a great story.
I know that's not what we're talking about here, but I just wanted to say that.
As far as what you said, good work on that saving those jobs.
Look, this is what we do.
We take on stories and we do it for the greater good.
we think we are doing that and we try to do that.
And sometimes we have to fight with the people that are powerful.
And if you've got people that are abusing that power,
which we have seen this week at Toronto Police,
there are people that are not in uniform or are not a lawyer,
that are bullying, trying to get me fired,
trying to threaten to sue me, perhaps even arrest me,
things like that, take a story down, take a picture down.
We have to expose that.
I mean, we had it all sorted out,
but they're still insisting on these things.
And so you start to get your backup when people abuse power like that.
That Toronto Police Service belongs to us.
So tell us, tell me about the story.
What happened here?
Well, what happened was on a different radio station, the mayor was on, Mayor Olivia Chow.
And she said that something along the lines that she asked the chief, chief police,
Meyer and Dempke, why don't you charge more?
And she said that he told her that there's a lawyer at headquarters that reviews the cases.
and says, there's no point in pursuing it.
Don't bother.
And that's what she said.
And she's never, ever taken that back.
Now, Myrndemkew has denied this.
He didn't just say, look, I consult everybody, including the Crown or Maggie.
He sort of saying, no, I never ever took anything from this person.
We've never said that, you know, we in the Toronto Sun have never said that this has happened.
We've reported the mayor saying it's happened.
We did introduce, I did in my column.
Her name is Fulgani Debnath.
She is the chief council there.
And we introduced who she is.
And I guess from what I understand, they're not very happy with it.
And they're threatening me.
Well, but it also took to this.
It took to this.
Joe, it took this, what came, went to the streets as well because rebel news sort of picked up on what you had written.
They did.
And then we're getting an email for, this is from Stephanie Sayer over.
at 640. She's the media
person. I had to settle with the brass
there. Everything was fine and, you know,
I didn't, I said, like, I work
well with Stephanie, we'll work on other things on
these murders of these two elderly
women, one's a manslaughter, one's
a murder, very mysterious.
Let's get moving on other
things. But instead
of email from Stephanie to
my editor, Adrian Batra,
and it was much along the
lines of other things that she sent, and it was
you know, it maligned
and smeared me, and it smeared the Toronto Sun and said that we were responsible for
the rebel, which we have no control over, they do what they do. They didn't do anything wrong either.
They just went out and showed the truck and showed the chief, picture of the chief, this lawyer
and also the mayor. And so now the story's up. Again, like, I don't know why they would
have somebody in communications when a story is kind of, you know, over to try to escalate it
further. And now we have to cover it. Once she sends the editor-in-chief a letter saying,
that she demands all these things to happen.
There's several of these emails.
They're out of control, unprofessional actions there.
Well, Joe, it seems had they just let this go,
had they just let this go,
it would have been a story that would have gone through the news cycle,
and it would have, people would have moved on.
I'm going to protect the Jewish community
from their incompetence.
And, you know, they have not protected them.
They have let people go in.
And I said this when I was assaulted by a police officer,
or the very first day of the, you know,
and maybe October 8th of 2023,
I took some pictures of people with Roman candles
climbing up on a building at Young and Blur.
And I was pushed by a police officer.
I let that go.
I didn't do anything about it.
I thought, well, you know what?
But I knew right there that Hamas was in charge
of the streets of Toronto.
And, you know, now we're getting a better indication,
perhaps, of why that is the way they're reacting.
I'm not afraid.
Come to arrest me, do what you want to do.
I've been through this before with G20.
When you've got people that are incompetent that think that they are the Toronto police
and that they're going to use the power of the Toronto police and try to bully us around,
they're going to find out that not everybody's afraid.
Do what you've got to do.
Abuse your power.
But, you know, we're going to protect the Jewish community.
We will protect any community.
That's what you do, Ben.
That's what I do.
And I'm not going to stop doing it.
And Joe, what I find interesting is the speed with which they are moving on this file,
versus the, um, how slow they are to react to what is, what is said and done right in front
of their faces, right? I mean, we all remember, uh, it was just over a year ago, when a guy
in a mask in the Eaton Center right in front of a cop threatened to put somebody six feet deep.
I mean, he threatened this person's life and nothing happened to that guy. But in this case,
they seem to be, they seem to have, uh, they, they've got their guns trained on you.
well this is that and it's a media officer that's doing it and you know i don't know what
where the direction is coming from but i can tell you right now it's not coming from the chief or
the deputy chief or any of that there's people that are trying to maybe ingratiate themselves with
you know somebody along those lines but we won't be intimidated uh you know we'll do the story
we did the story i had no intentions of doing any more stories on that but you're right uh you know
we've covered a lot of these different things that that have happened uh
You know, they've turned a blind eye to the anti-Semitism.
They've let it foster, and they're claiming that they have no answer for it.
Now, the thing in Bondi did happen, and because it happened, you know, we all recognize the different things that could go on.
We've had Islamic fundamentalist terror attacks here right at our own parliament.
We thought, you know, we had the Danforth massacre, which, you know, it was never connected to that, but let's not get ourselves.
I mean, you know, it's connected to that, in my opinion, the work I've done on it.
And, you know, we've had, the Toronto Police have done a great job along with their partners to shut down potential terror attacks.
I remember out in Evanton, a guy went into the city hall with a gun and some bombs, and nobody covered it.
I covered it when I saw it.
And that was a jihadist attack.
Luckily, the guy was inept, and he ended up, you know, not being able to work anything, and they arrested him.
but there was 20 people in an office right outside the door of the elevator right in there a meeting, including the mayor.
Yeah.
If he got in there, God knows.
But Joe, tell me where this.
I'm going to do what I got to do.
Yeah, but tell me where is this case now?
What are you up against?
What do you have to do?
What are they threatening you with?
And where do you go from here?
Well, I'll just go back to work.
I mean, you know, like, like it's, there's nothing that they can arrest.
me for and there's nothing that they can sue for. We have lawyers too at the Toronto
sign, okay? So, you know, we've been through it all. We know what we're doing. We
haven't done anything wrong. They have lots to answer for. And, you know, the Jewish community
may be, you know, listing now those that are in the middle of Hanukkah, they deserve better
than what they've received here in the last, you know, little while. You know, as far as, you know,
I have no beef with anybody, you know, at the Toronto Police. I mean, I love the Toronto Police.
with them. And when they, you know, I have their back, because I know how hard that job is. I
talked to, you know, 15 different police officers every week, different situations. And I do have
the utmost respect for them. I have never in 40 years, though, received a letter like I received
from Stephanie Sayer. And she also went around and did it to, you know, other people at the son
and that. It's a smear campaign, and it's designed, in my opinion, to get me off protecting
the Jewish community. I will not buckle.
So come and arrest me.
You know, come and kill me if you want to.
Oh, no, no, no one's going to do that.
But you just keep fighting the good fight, my friend.

On a more happy note, you know, sometimes you have to stand up to the man.
