Alexa Lavoie is a reporter for Rebel News in Canada. She's been on the front lines of the Canadian trucker convoy and has brought to this show and to millions around the world images, videos, live streams about what is really happening. When a regime does not want you to see what is happening, when they do not want you to see their crimes or notice what they are doing in the dark of night or the brightness of day, well, they will first attack the press. This is often the case, always the case case when it comes to tyrannical regimes, and they will attack reporters, truth-tellers, people who are doing their jobs to expose them. This happened in Trudeau's despotic crackdown in Ottawa this weekend. Alexa Lavoie was shot at point-blank range in the shin with a smoke grenade canister.

She was then beaten by police, beaten with a stick as they marched on her position. Her shooting was captured in crisp and horrifying detail and it sounded like this. Alexa is a member of the press. She is an invaluable correspondent. Again, she went on our show and gave us a tour of who the truckers really were in the, you could call it the best of times when this peaceful protest was ongoing. And for her troubles, she was targeted and shot. You can hear the screams of Alexa in that clip. And Alexa went on Fox News soon thereafter to say this about what it felt like to be targeted by a despotic Western regime that she lives under.

So I was there reporting. I had my microphone, my ribbon used a leech on my neck. And so when the first shot of the gas tear gun was shot, I screamed because I wasn't shocked. I was like, OK, something just happened. And it started to be a little bit difficult to breathe and afterwards the police officer went towards the protester and they hit me three times with the wood stick and afterwards um i saw uh everything goes so fast but someone shot me in my left legs with the tear gas gun. It was point blank. It was really next to my legs. And so I fell on the ground because not only my legs were hurting, but all the gas from the canister went all over me in my head, eyes and in my mouth. So yeah.

As we mentioned earlier, Alexa was kind enough to come on our show and gave us a tour of the trucker convoy. So the Parliament and we have here a place where it's surrounded of trucks.

I'm going to get closer for you. So you can see board, some board writing a lot of message on the fence. And flag that is just up there. And you have a scene. People are doing some speech. And now they are playing music. And people are gathered together. And they dance.

And some people are cooking some food for everybody who need to eat. It's a little bit less present for the cooking food today because since the mayor have declared the state of emergency, we cannot bring some fuel, any supply. It's like fuel is gas and food. So right now the police are more present to have a check if they can find anything that the people need. Because if you bring gas or fuel, now you are considered to participate in an illegal movement, an illegal action. So it's why now it's getting another,

I would say atmosphere, more police people like trying to get another option to bring them some fuel because some family, we talk about family and children live in these trucks. And so they need fuel to get warm at night. Sometimes you get to minus 33 at night. All you can warm up if you don't have fuel or gas. I mean they wouldn't they would live inside of a cocoon and they would never leave yeah we're so proud of you being outside and telling the story of the truckers and so what is the story of the truckers right now there has been a major development where the police that you just showed are stealing the fuel of the trucker convoy, yes? Yeah, yeah, exactly. So last night, it started last night, and I went on scene when, I don't know, I think 40 police cars show up in a supply place and they took away 30 liters of fuel that was a donation from farmer and they came and they just take everything from them and that's it and but at

least they didn't give fine because uh they were tolerate until midnight. So today, if you've been caught with fuel and gas, you can not only be safe, your stuff, but you receive a fine as well and you can be arrested as well. And so- You can be arrested for having gasoline. Yeah, so since today,

some people are walking with empty jerry can, just for bother the police and for being in support with the trucker. So everybody have empty jerry can, walk in the street and the police like stop them and just like, no, it's empty. Or some people put water on that and just drink it. So yeah.

It's kind of funny fill it with some fill it with some molson yeah yeah some beer yeah beer can yeah so it's just incredible what is keeping people going i mean it is remarkable we've been covering this all week, of course. We've been doing our best to support it, telling our audience what is happening. But it seems like the fascist state is coming down on top of the truckers and this movement. But there still seems to be joy, happiness, esprit de corps. So far, this protest, I don't know if we can call it the process or movement or something else but it was peaceful everybody was so human and helpful to each other free food for everybody when I see Justin Trudeau did the statement about people in Ottawa the people here are stealing food from homeless in a press conference that is not the reality

here it's completely the opposite we have like people volunteer making food for everybody and everybody's welcome to eat and warm up and it's just incredible. Wherever you come from in Canada, you're all welcome. Whatever your culture, whatever, if you're vaxxed, unvaxxed, none, everybody's welcome. So it's really a peaceful, peaceful protest. Can you explain to me, because I was educated this weekend about the freedom charter in Canada, it seems as though the person breaking the law is Justin Trudeau and the city of Ottawa, as without warrants they are trying to impede Canadians' freedom and freedom to assemble.

Yeah, so the charter of Rights is not really applicable anymore. They have been like writing this chart like a hundred of times. Right now, sorry, can you repeat the question? I'm French. Sure, so it seems like there is no warrant. There doesn't seem to be. What are the laws that says you can confiscate someone's fuel and cause their children to freeze? Yeah. So the thing is, they declare the state of emergency. So the state of emergency give all the power to them to do whatever they want for a situation.

It's why they declare it before saying that now it's illegal to bring supply of gas and fuel. So you need to have this state of emergency. And it's the same here in Quebec, where I come from. We are in a state of emergency since almost a year. So they have the full power. They can do whatever they want. They can put the bill that they want,

the decree that they want. And nobody have no word to say or to do anything. They have the full power to decide. And it's only the decision of one man, the premier of every province or the mayor, or is Justin Trudeau the prime minister? Are the people of Canada sick of this? This sounds like totalitarian dictatorship. I would say I never saw my country as polarized as that. Some people are so for all these measures and all what is going on and what they put in place because they are afraid.

It's kind of psychotic at one level. And some, it's completely the opposite, really against it. So we see two kinds of citizens. And it's so polarized that I don't understand. Like my premier in Quebec still be 40% in the poll. And you see Justin Trudeau have been reelected this year. So at one level, people like it and some people hate it.

Seems like a similar story in America, but the people who actually make society work hate it because it's intervening in their way to do business, to provide for their children, to put a roof over their heads. It's really remarkable how this is a worker uprising, it seems, and the left is against it.

The communist left, who wants the workers of the world to unite, they are against the greatest worker uprising in perhaps western history am i wrong uh i think you're actually right um right now what we saw like yes the left it's against it but the left is not there anymore we just we don't have sorry right so we we used to have like some right and left and center i'm not really a political person but what i can see is like everybody believe on the same and they have the same narrative and they have no debate and i have the impression that nobody wants to debate they are all in the same boat and they reinforce and they agree and they decide all together for the same narrative. It's just sad because usually in a

democracy, you always have debate. If it's good or not, debate about it. And now we don't see anything of it. Not in Canada. But it seems like what you're dealing with in Canada is a fascistic censorship regime that is going to use the authority of the state and the monopoly they have on violence to shut down dissent. And you're seeing that accelerate over, and pardon me, accelerate over the last 24 hours when the police are getting involved and when Justin Trudeau is talking about potential military involvement.

So I heard about the military involvement I we don't know when that will happen probably thought that cutting the fuel and the gas and the food would make people leave but that's I talked with a lot of truck driver that will not make them leave. The same, it's the opposite. They want to stay more because they say like, that's not okay. Like, what are you doing? It's actually controlling the people again. So we see that that movement is disturbing the prime minister, disturbing all the politicians.

We can't see it because since the beginning, Mr. Trudeau tested positive to COVID. And he actually is working from home. We don't see really him anywhere. We did one statement. But we need to know. He's triple-vaxxed in the test positive to COVID. And they still say to people, go and get your shot. Yeah.

So it's all about controlling the population. And I don't know if you saw, but Quebec have been the province the most affected with like the curfew. And now it's showing your paper everywhere that you want to go you need to show your paper or you are refused to uh to go to any big store uh cinema bar a restaurant everywhere yeah canada fought against the nazis alongside Americans, and they did it shoulder to shoulder, and they landed on D-Day beaches alongside with my grandfather. the generation that fought the Nazis, finding out that their children have to provide their papers in order to provide lives for their children and buy food and to eat. It does seem like what they fought against has come here. So you have been on the ground covering this,

and what are some of the more fascinating things that you have seen in your time there it has now been going on for one week yeah so it's been one week that we are here i think the most fascinating thing is uh how many people are present uh they keep trying that there's a fringe minority that is here. That's not true. I can tell that we saw a lot of people. And just sometimes we can see some, I would say, Antifa or some people who are completely in the extreme opposite that show up here with some flag flag and some like kind of violence uh stuff and like i just saw okay the most shocking one was this woman i think she's called queen romana what she's she's

known uh in the media she came here to burn a can Canadian flag in front of the Parliament of Ottawa. I was like, you came here just for burning the flag and you left afterwards. Of course the mainstream media were really happy to see that, to show how this movement is violent, i never saw her all week came here burn it and left i was like and i tried to ask question to her she refused to answer to me and that was the most like kind of weird uh thing that i saw but as well last night when I see like the number of police showing up to take away 30 liter of of fuel from the truck driver I was like okay the police have been like so nice since the beginning thumbs up helping same like I

saw them like some giving food to other people and i don't know but since yesterday their mindset changed they are they try to avoid to talk to citizens we we see that probably they are uncomfortable with the the decision but they have order to respect and we can see it yeah so we have heard of course our audience doesn't believe this but what they are trying to do is paint these truckers in this movement as violent or hateful or racist have you seen any of that no actually the the truck driver drivers are so nice and they are really happy and you know they come and they really offer a lot. They talk to each other, they let people do some honk on their truck. People are bringing them food and people are offering them their hotel for taking a shower.

The same offer to wash their clothes. And because some of the truck drivers say that the city doesn't open the toilet for them at all. So they try to find another way. But here it's like a big family everybody open their door and it's like you're welcome you can come here anytime and some people like open their trucks that we can warm up inside it's just just nice to see alexandra we have uh been talking for about 20, and I want to see if you could give us a bit of a tour. Like, look. That is all children who have brought something to the truck driver. Those are notes that they've received? Yeah, from children. Amazing. You see? Amazing.

Look at all these beautiful signs. Yeah, it's incredible. It's just sad because here we have the best, bigger stand for food, but everything was wiped off because of the state of emergency. What?

And they have, what they say to me, they have gas and fuel for months. Months. Wow. And you see that is the wood house.

Just here on scene again, I was just saying that But on the ground here since the 28th of January.

I don't think I've heard any honking all day today. And for the days prior, it was just nonstop all day. If we just pan the camera here, there's a lot more police here. A lot more police on scene. We never saw this many police on scene in front of the hill. They're here to steal more gas and more food. Yeah. A lot of them are a little camera shy, but there's just a little something in the air. Something's different, as you guys probably know.

It's a state of emergency. We can feel the tension of the people who want to bring some fuel to the truck, but you have surveillance everywhere. And we can see the behavior as well have changed as I said just before of the police officer they don't really talk anymore they just walk by and it's a it's another reality here and every corner of the street you have police who are looking at what people are bringing inside. And it's why everybody is walking with an empty jerry can, because it's a way to, if If someone brings one that is full, you have less chance to be caught by the police.

So what you're telling me is that the capital of Ottawa has descended into a fascist police state. Kind of. Right now, Ottawa, yeah, of course, because now they have order and they are in a state of emergency so right now all the power is giving to the police officer to respect the order and maintain the order of the place so I don't know if you can see it just far away it's the road completely blocked blocked many many other roads so the police is blocking a little bit further away but not for that not more trucks coming closer to the Parliament so some I'll be fine, my car, $20 change. Okay. I'll be fine, my car. I'll be fine, my car. Sorry, I didn't expect that. But some of the trucks are blocked outside of the city

because they don't have space to park the car or park the truck. So I know that some of the parking lot are full of truck and so they come by walk here into the department and some of them what I heard so far they add Their truck is a company truck. So they were not allowed to bring the truck here So they came by car. So a lot of truck. So they were not allowed to bring the truck here. So they came

by car. So a lot of trucker is actually here, but with a car instead of their truck. Got it. So you, you are, your update today is that the change has been marked. They created a state of emergency. They have brought in a ton of police and now they are banning honking yeah that is the report that we got that they have now banned the honking oh uh you do always a show of uh truck i I will show you. That's a really beautiful, like the ambience is really amazing. I actually recommend everybody who can come here to come because it's something that historical

that we will never see that before again. In Quebec, it happened last weekend too. A lot of trucks have blocked the streets of Quebec. So you see here. And these people all across Canada, west coast, east coast, every province. Make sure you give big hugs and all your good stuff to our friendly police officers. Oh. I have here in your byline an update about how long the truckers are willing to stay. Can you tell our audience how long are they going to be there? Some of them, they say until the end. If they need to stay months, they will be there for months. And they are not going to change their thinking. Some of them have so much good in their truck to stay for months and months. Nobody is going anywhere.

I saw one of the trucks, they removed their wheel and they attach to the car just to see I'm not living I'm not living at all so so I think the fact that they are putting more and more pressure to make them live that make them more and more want to stay. And right now, I swear to God, I talked with almost like 10 or 15 of them today. And I say that, do that would discourage you to stay because you would not be able to warm up. You would not have fuel and gas, as they say. We are not leaving.

We are staying, and we'll find another way to warm up. We have always a solution, and we will find it. And we are working all together to find a way to stay. So they all work together. All the truck drivers work together to find solutions. Incredible. So you're saying that these totalitarian tactics that Trudeau and the city of Ottawa are putting on these truckers is simply strengthening their resolve. Exactly.

So their tactic is not working. It's actually create the opposite of what they wanted. They wanted them to live and now they got the opposite. But in the same time, I'm just a little bit worried about what they want to install afterwards. Do they will arrest them? So it's why we will keep reporting on what is going on, from being sure that we show really what is happening right now. Because as you know, so many fake flags and so many fake news was all around this movement. Especially like one night, they say like a car, like truck car had been crashed into a checkpoint.

And when Ruben News arrived on scene, the police say, no, that's all made up. No truck has crashed in the checkpoint, but this news was spread everywhere in social media. You have convoy here in in Ottawa, but we have some in Alberta and at the border and other places in Canada. And they are facing some really big fine and so we want to fight along them for their legal action so it's why we started trucker lawyer that CA so people can donate and so we go with them to defend them on court so I think it's something that they need because right now with the GoFundMe that been canceled, we talk about $9 million of dollars that been canceled, but it would be refund to people. But now they try to get another way to gain money for them

because it was the money rising for the trucker. And so the first million was released, but all the other million was completely canceled. Another way to make them leave. That's right. That's right. Since we're on this topic, what is the best way that you can see for people to help these freedom fighters, these truckers, the freedom convoy? It won't take long to tell you neutrals ingredients.

Vodka, soda, natural flavors. So what should we talk about? No sugar added? Neutral. Refreshingly simple. I think for them it's of course supplying them, but in the same way now it's not legal to supplying them of course it would be really soon it would be the legal action because I think the police and the city would try to probably find them are

giving them like pretty heavy ticket or maybe they will I don't know maybe they would begin to arrest them to just being like in the street so I know that that is coming they will need the help so if you want to you can help them for the legal action but for now the people are so generous so what I heard so far they don't need anything as a food or other thing because all these donations they have been supplied for donations but I think I asked them what is the biggest challenge for them right now it's mostly some of them is missing their family they are far away it's kind of hard but they are not going to live. So you can help them as much as you can. I think on the trucker convoy website, you can as well find another way to send some money if you want.

I'm not really, I don't know a lot about their raising money, but us, what we can do for them is fighting along them for the legal action. That's right. And Rebel News is helping out with this. Yeah. So as always, we did. During all the pandemic, we did fight for the ticket, like fight the fine, like for the Canadian who received a just ticket with the COVID. And we did the same for fight vaccine passport because as you know like in Canada we have the vaccine passport that you need to show everywhere that you want to go so that kills so much businesses here so many businesses shut down it's really

sad to see especially like now it's all the big, big, big chain that survived, but all the small shops not really going well. Unbelievable. It's the same thing that happened in America. And it's the same thing that happens everywhere. They enforce the vax mandates, the vaccine passports. Their intention is to choke off and to kill off the middle class and to create a biosecurity authoritarian state. Every single time you give them a right, they turn it into a privilege that they can rescind from you at any time they want to. So we want to close out our live here with just a couple new questions. One, what is the most inspiring thing you have seen in a week of the Freedom Trucker Convoy? Inspiring?

I think it's all, I know that I'm repeating myself, but it's all the help that I saw. Like, they all help each other they bring some food and and they share everything that they have it's it's it's giving it's always giving to the following person and it's so inspiring and nobody's judging nobody and and that is actually Canada freedom of your culture who you are whatever you who you are you supposed to be free and accepted by everybody and it's what I'm seeing now whatever the province you come from or if you speak French or English, because we have

the both language here in Canada, it doesn't matter. I saw some people not able to communicate because they didn't have the same language, but they were giving to each other food and just laughing and smiling at each other. So that is what Canada should be, but it's not what Canada will be if we still like keeping this anger and territorial measure that we have in place. Yes. Yes. Authoritarian measures in every aspect of life. And when you have the government that takes your ability to travel and freely assemble, to speak, to have gasoline, to have food, to heat a cab for your children, then you truly do live inside of fascism. It can happen. You best start believing in fascist ghost stories because we're living in

one right now. So what is the mood of regular Canadians? So let's say the Canadians who are watching this happening from their living rooms on one coast or the other, do Canadians empathize with the truckers? Oh, yeah. I don't know if you saw some video, but a trucker was coming to Ottawa, starting to British Columbia or other province as Alberta. He was able to see on the bridge people like with sign like and really supporting all the trucker. And now, you know, trucker have always been like, you know, a normal job and now they

are considered as hero and everybody is shouting to them and say, yes, thanks because it's because of you that we're doing that. Wow. So you don't believe that the tyrants are winning? Do you think this is going to backfire? I don't think so. For Trudeau and for everyone? They will need to comply at one point, because the more you put pressure that everything stops,

the more people will take over and say no. And so because they put more measures on them, other people wake up and say that's not okay. That's really weird. Why are they doing that? And so that wakes up other people that were not there before. Do you think, and this is my final question, do you think that this protest is going to work? Obviously, we've been covering it. We support on this channel.

We've been giving you as much love and support as we can from here in the States. Do you think that it's going to collapse the unconstitutional and, quite frankly, inhumane vaccine mandates in Canada? Do you think they're going to win? That is my personal opinion. I will say in my heart, I think, yes, it will win.

I think, yes yes everything is I think the narrative is changing really really much since the last two weeks it's been really different some of the province have already lifted some measures as Saskatchewan and some people are talking to change it uh as ontario are saying that they need to talk and to rethink about the vaccine passport and all the measure so i think yeah it's doing a difference it's doing a different you see just behind me people are just coming here and eat wow so yeah i think everything would change i think i i'm hoping so much yeah alexander you have been so wonderful thank you so much we've been going for almost an hour here and you've been wonderful. another and joined by another, that creates a chain that is a domino reaction. And there's more of us than there are of them. There are so many people that just want to live free. We are the majority, people who want to live free and have bodily autonomy. And these structures are showing it in such a beautiful way. And without Rebel News and without
