Man, the highest inflation since the Civil War. Joe Biden has indeed destroyed America, the worst president in my lifetime, and it's about to get worse. Congress is set to spend $13 billion more at Biden's request to protect Ukraine's border, but they wouldn't spend anything to protect our border. $6 million a day it costs to not build the border wall. It sits in the desert rotting. I've seen it myself. And a U.S. Navy destroyer can't deploy because his commanding officer will not get the COVID-19

vaccine. Things are stupider and stupider by the day. My name is Benny Johnson. We'll cover it all on The Benny Show. What you pay, meanwhile, is going up and up yet again. Breaking now, inflation hits a new 40-year high. And watch the price of food. A new shortage is causing farmers to sound the alarm on that. Yeah, up to 7.9%, just crossing the wires. 7.9% over the past year. That is the largest spike in 40 years.

The data from the Labor Department does not include oil and gas price spikes that have followed Russia's invasion of Ukraine, though those prices are up already. And, of course, this inflation news is going to be tough for the administration. Nothing, Joe, nothing has been more politicized than inflation. Just let's harken back to all the things we've been through. First, it was transitory. Then inflation is good. Then we went to corporate

greed. Now we're at Putin. Listen, it's probably all the above. But no matter how you slice it, it's all about commodities for the most part. And king commodity is energy. And most people in the United States are reminded of that about what every three to four days when they go fill up their tanks. Back to you. Many people have thought we'd see a peak in inflation in March, maybe. Well, now we have a war in Russia not captured, a war in Ukraine not captured here. Year over year, 7.9% is the inflation number. That is a 40-year high. Month over month, up eight-tenths of a percent.

That shows that even month to month inflation is accelerating it is gas it is shelter it is food groceries all these things you basically can't live without are rising here so when you dig into these numbers you can see just why so many americans are so sour on the economy on those opinion polls it's because they're paying more for just about everything used cars look at that brianna 41 percent from last year, gasoline up 38 percent. And again, these numbers don't capture the big disruption in the economy from Putin's war in Ukraine. We'll continue to watch these numbers. I have a one year old. Her name is Eloise. and we're very excited about it in the Johnson family. We love children. It's been a joy to be a father. Here's something that my one-year-old understands. Inflation. Let me explain. My one-year-old has multiple bunnies. Why? Well, for some reason, people have given her a lot of little bunny rabbits, stuffed bunny rabbits. She must have seven of them. These bunny rabbits lay all over the house. Sometimes I trip on them when I'm going to go get my coffee. She sort of flings

them everywhere. There's one in the car under the driver's seat. She has bunnies all over the place. They're stuffed, they're fluffy, and they sort of get left in the dirt. You can often find them even outside or in the mud. My one-year-old has a single lynx. That's right. It's called a lynx. It's her lovey. It's her favorite toy. She has one of them. I don't really know much about lynx the animal, but there's a series that has these fluffy little toys and she has a lynx. It's a very interesting looking toy. It's very unique. It looks just like absolutely nothing else that she owns. And so she enjoys playing with that toy. That toy is incredibly precious to her.

She has one of them. It goes with her everywhere. She won't let go of it. She won't let it touch the ground. I'm not allowed to play with it. Why? Because she has a single one because of scarcity. The bunnies get thrown all over the place. They're almost

worthless. She has multiple. They don't matter to her in value because she has so many. She has one lynx and that scarcity makes it very precious to her. This is inflation. When you print for no discernible reason and with no absolute value, billions of dollars, then you will hit a moment when you have way too many dollars chasing after way too few goods. And even my one year old understands. That the scarcity of something. Is directly correlated. To its value. It's why we were. Not shocked today. To see that inflation has hit a 40 year high.

But also that inflation may. Be exceeding. The levels of even the civil war. And we have data to show that this should terrify you for so many reasons, but most especially because in an inflationary spiral, everything that you own becomes worthless or literally worth less. All you need to see is the chart on your screen right now. The first chart is the amount of money being printed. You can see that the COVID-19 pandemic caused the amount of money that is being printed by the Federal Reserve to shoot directly skyward in a right angle, straight up. And then it didn't stop. They're continuing the billions and billions and billions of dollars straight up. Then you can see the rate of inflation tracking perfectly along that line. As Thomas Massey says, the first chart is the M1 money supply. The second chart is inflation class dismissed. If you do not want inflation, well, then you're going to have to limit the amount of money that you're blowing into the economy, but they won't do that because it's free to them and it's politically expedient

in the near term. In the long term, it's going to make our currency worthless. It's going to make your savings worthless. It's going to make everything that we hold dear in this country collapse. Control over your life. They want control over everything that you own. They need to collapse the capitalist markets

into and under their control. They want universal basic income. 7.9% inflation over the last 12 months is what was announced today by the labor department. This is a tactic to get you onto government subsidies. This is a tactic. The end goal universal basic income. They have been open about it. They are pushing for it. And once 50% of Americans live in poverty, they'll have their push to get this done. This is the goal. The Labor Department's Consumer Price Index, a key gauge of inflation, showed price growth speeding up both monthly and annualized basis over the last 12 months.

This is not because of Vladimir Putin. These liars are going to lie to you and tell you that this is because of Ukraine. Oh, so convenient, that crisis. Nobody's buying it. Economists expected prices to rise roughly 7.9 percent on an annualized basis between january and february vladimir putin hadn't even fired a shot in january so it's a lie when somebody tells you that this is because of vladimir putin which they're trying to do right now we'll see how many people repeat it annualized inflation jumped to the highest rate since 1982 in febru and month-over-month inflation rose for the first time since October 2021.

Is this the highest inflation since the Civil War? Tom Elliott is a friend of ours. He runs a great site called Grabian, and he had an incredible Twitter thread this morning. Tom Elliott said in the 70s, when inflation reached 8%, interest rates were already greater than 8% and were ultimately raised to almost 20% before the Consumer Price Index began abating. Meaning, you ain't seen nothing yet as it pertains to raising of interest rates. Today's interest rates remain at zero and the Fed is printing billions every month. The crisis is worse than the 70s, Tom Elliott says. Based on the previous CPI calculations used up and through the 1980s, the current inflation rate is actually 16%. Funny math.

The government does funny math. They do funny math when they're trying to hide or obfuscate various data from you, make things look better. They always try and wiggle with these numbers. Remember, the government added hundreds of thousands of jobs retroactively to the unemployment numbers in November and December and October. Well, that's interesting. How can you do that? The CDC just tweaked a little algorithm and suddenly the numbers for COVID transmissibility changed drastically throughout the nation. Funny math. The government's been doing it for a long time. If you go back to the standard of the 1970s, then Tom Elliott says that this crisis is way worse.

Based on previous CPI calculations, the way they used to rate gauge inflation in the 1980s, the current inflation rate is actually 16%, worse than at any point during the stagflation crisis. It appears the last time inflation peaked over 15% was World War II in the 1940s when we were still pegged to the gold standard. So that meant your money was actually backed by something. There was something presumably in a vault underground that held the value of your dollar. Now we've melted that gold down to nothing. Nobody even knows if it's in the vaults. Nobody has any verification of this. If we even have a single gold bar that is backing the American dollar, there is no verification. This is why Ron Paul wants to audit the Fed to see what they actually have or if they've just been printing money out of nothing, which we know is the truth.

Shelter is up 4%. Some of these are luxury items. You don't need a new car. It's nice to have a new car. You don't need a new car. I've never never owned a new car i've only ever owned used cars i think buying new cars are stupid but most of this list is not luxury items most of this list is what you need to keep your family warm and safe. You need a roof over their head. You need heat in your heaters or air conditioning. To remain comfortable. It gets very hot where I live. You need food in your cupboards. You need gasoline to get from place to place.

And you need clothing. All of those things have shot up between either 40% in the high 40s or nearly 10% this year. And Joe Biden's only had one year in office. Price increases are the highest on record by the U.S. Bureau of Labor statistics for hotels, 29%, furnitureurniture, 17%. Chicken, 13%. New cars and trucks, 12%. Flooring, 11%.

Lunch meat, 11%. Dry cleaning, 9%. My wife's been noticing that. Toys, 6%. Pet supplies, 7%. Are you ready for the Great Reset? This is how they get it. This is what they want.

They want to collapse the American dollar. They want to collapse American society. They want to collapse the sovereignty of this nation. They need us dependent. The Federal Reserve is on track to hike interest rates to try and cool off inflation too late. This will be a multi-decade, multi-generational problem. When you go to the bar and when you rip shots and when you drink your face off and when you don't stop and you do sake bombs at 4 a.m., you are going to wake up with a hangover that'll probably last you the next day or two. This one's going to last us the next generation or two. This, what you're seeing on screen, the amount of money printing there, those are the shots. Those are the ripping Jack Daniels shots, grain alcohol shots at 2 a.m.

And the inflation chart, that's the hangover. Even my one-year-old understands this. These politicians are cursing our nation. And you know what? The reason why is they won't be here. Joe Biden is 79 years old. Nancy Pelosi is 82 years old. Mitch McConnell is 80 years old. Klaus Schwab is 80 years old. George Soros is 92 years old. These people won't be around to endure the horrors that they are bringing upon all of us.

CNN and MSNBC and others have noted that the CPI report does not capture recent rising prices due to the Russia-Ukraine conflict. So even our corporate media is saying that these prices are artificially low. That doesn't stop the White House from blaming everything on Vladimir Putin. Listen. You may have noticed this week that your gas prices have gone up. I want to talk to you a little bit about why. A lot of it has to do with Vladimir Putin. The reality is that Russia is one of the three largest oil producers in the world. And the fact that they have started this conflict, invaded a foreign country, and they are such a big producer of oil in the world is the reason why the global oil

markets are disturbed right now and why your gas prices are going up. There's a term called gaslighting. What that term is in reference to is a man from the 1800s and turning down the gaslight in his house, lowering the light and driving his wife insane. I think the lady eventually committed suicide. Gaslighting is when you are lying to someone to make them go insane. This is what the White House is doing. Jen Psaki there calling this Putin's price hike, as though you haven't been paying for gasoline for the last calendar year. The first bullets were fired from Russian guns nary a few weeks ago in Ukraine. Perhaps you've noticed that your prices have been increasing steadily on a rocket ship for everything in this country over the last calendar year since Joe Biden has been elected. Why is that?

Well, it's pretty clear. We don't stop ripping shots at the bar. Our government and those who run it, including many Republicans, the majority of Republicans are blackout drunk at the bar. Many of them won't live to actually see the results of what they're doing to this nation. Again, we are run by octogenarians in this nation. But even still, to this very day, on this very moment, Congress is considering spending 13 billion more dollars at Biden's request to protect Ukraine's border after spending six million every single day not to build a wall. You been there anytime soon? It actually resembles a war zone just like Kiev. But our leaders don't care. It's all about virtue signaling. Here's what they had to say on the news about the 14 billion dollar bill to get our democratic colleagues to do what i believe the ukrainians uh need at this particular point but where we've ended up is at 14 billion dollars um in order to get to $14 billion, we actually had to prevent House Democrats from blocking loan guarantees to help Eastern NATO allies. Having leaders like that is how you lose your country.

And because we've seen it or not doesn't mean it hasn't happened. But just limited to what we have seen. And relatedly, is the United States willing to make a specific allocation for Ukrainian refugees?

And for President Duda, I wanted to know if you think, and if you asked the United States to specifically accept more refugees. Okay. A friend in need is a friend indeed. Okay. I can first. Okay. So this time.

Millions of refugees being bombed out of their homes and having to flee. Entire cities being leveled. Wow. Hilarious. Creepy. Terrifying. We're not sending our best. Dear God, it's a humiliation. Dear God,

open your eyes and vote. It's our only hope. This is our only hope. I'm not trying to be a doomer, and I'm certainly not ever saying that America's lost, but I'm saying that if we continue on this trajectory, America will lose a major war and we will become a second-rate power. We're already seeing the type of inflation that crushed Weimar Germany, for instance. Germany, the conditions for World War II were created by, in part, inflation. That's right. This, according to Navy Times, destroyer can't deploy because the commanding officer will not get the COVID vaccine. An ongoing legal battle over whether the military can force troops to get vaccinated against COVID-19 has left the Navy with a warship that they can't deploy because as commanding officer, they cannot fire. It's a standoff that the brass is calling a manifest national security concern. You know what's the concern? Bodily autonomy. The fact that that man signed a pledge and gave an oath to our Constitution, and you are violating it.

The Constitution explicitly declares that you will have the freedom, life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, the government must not trod on your capacity to have individual liberty. The issue stems from a lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court in the Middle District of Florida late last year with the service members' rights being infringed on by the COVID-19 vaccine mandates. Judge Stephen Merriday issued an order last month banning Navy and Marine Corps from taking any disciplinary action against the unnamed warship commander and the Marine Corps lieutenant colonel for refusing the vaccine, the people who run the ship. In the process, the case has raised questions about the line between

military good order and discipline and the legal rights of service members as American citizens. Mary Day's injunction is an extraordinary intrusion upon the inner workings of the military and has essentially left the Navy short a warship, according to the February 28th filing by the government. So that's the government arguing that these commanders should be fired, want to take medicine that the government is forcing on them. Let's not even start with some of the more recent and shocking revelations as it pertains to vaccine development and developers, but wholly worse. With respect to the Navy commander, the Navy has lost confidence in its ability to lead and will not deploy the warship in command.

So the Navy commander didn't take the vaccine, so now he's not fit for command. Are you paying attention yet? Are your eyes open yet? February 8th, February 28th filing alleges that the commander has already discarded Navy regulations after he exposed dozens of his crew to COVID-19 and decided not to test himself. Remarkable. Remarkable. How remarkable. The government's insistence that the Navy commander isn't and cannot command the ship reeks of a petty retaliation and contempt the court's preliminary injunction banning such a retaliation. And the plaintiff's attorney wrote the Navy wrote. The Navy feigned loss of confidence in the commander is patently textual and has everything to do with the commander's lawful and orderly attempt to obtain judicial relief from an

unconstitutional mandate. The ship was underway with more than 300 days during the 400 day pandemic when no vaccine was available. The plaintiffs contempt with no operational impediment. So this guy was out doing his job during the pandemic and now he's getting the shaft. The same thing with cops who won't get the vaccine. Same thing with nurses, frontline workers who won't get the vaccine. These people went out and served in the midst of the worst of this thing when we had no idea what it would do, when we had no idea where it came from. And now they're the first ones to be punished.

We are going to lose a major war. It is going to get bad for this country if we do not change course very, very quickly. If we are firing our best pilots, our best airmen, our best naval commanders here, if we are reducing our troops in this manner, we are headed for dangerous times. If we are reducing our currency in this manner,

we are headed for dangerous times. If we are reducing our stature and status as a nation in this manner, with Kamala Harris cackling on the Polish border with the Polish president over refugee crises, we are headed for extremely dire and dangerous times. Things will only get better when we, as a movement, recognize that these institutions that we grew up loving, that our grandparents helped build, have been irredeemably corrupted, and they must be ripped up root and stem. That entire swaths of the federal government must be pushed into the Potomac. That entire buildings, I'm talking departments, housing and human services, HHS, Department of Energy, these things must be pushed into the Potomac River. They must be demolished. We must

reduce the size of government in the extreme and engage the only thing that America has on the rest of the world right now, which is its capacity to have human flourishing based on our founding documents that are perfect in their conception and that were made perfect through the blood, sweat, and tears and pain of those in this country. People who are way better than those serving to try and fire this naval commander. That's it. If we do not take extreme harsh measures right now to fix this place, then we're done. I'm not trying to be a doomer. I'm trying to say what must be done. The people who came before us did not do a good enough job to ensure that this place was strong and steady. And instead, we have a class of people who won't

even be here in 10 years. Unfortunately, I listen, I'm not. It's just biology. They won't be here in 10 years. And they are spiraling our nation and careening this place into collapse. And I don't care how many fuzzy bunnies you fill your house with. Eventually they become nauseous and intoxicating. You trip over them. They become a hazard. They're worthless. We got to get smart. So let's see what happens.

There is a great headwind right now into 2022. We'll see where it takes us. Get smart. Get activated. And ensure, ladies and gentlemen, that this nation survives. We've got to be ready. We've got to be ready for the greatest battle and the greatest fight of our time, which will be the fight against the atrophying, collapsing, destroyed institutions that are taking this country down.
