Subpoenas issued by our committee must always be respected. No president or former president is above the law. and I think every single person on this committee agrees with that. In fact, I appreciate that you brought those posters. Mr. Comer, can I actually see that, would you mind if I actually use that poster that you brought, the ones that you put up? What? Okay, so it's bringing over the Bill Clinton posters in a hot tub.

And as you know, former President Clinton has began answering some of those questions in a signed declaration that this committee has received recently, including last week. He's also called for a full release of the files immediately, which you or no one in this committee has actually done. It's interesting that it's this subpoena only that Republicans and the chairman have been upset. about putting all their energy behind. Now, we also want President Clinton to answer questions. In fact, he should continue to answer the questions from this committee as he has begun doing in not just a signed declaration, but also in other offers to meet with this committee of which you have rejected. But it's also incredibly interesting that this energy you have to attack whoever you believe

your political opponents are, you are unwilling to use on Galane Maxwell, a moment. monster who has trafficked, abused, and raped children and women, and which every committee member and this body knows should be in front of this committee. Where is the contempt charges to bring her into this committee to answer the questions? And I hope that you would agree, Mr. Comer, that that should be one of our top priorities. And let's talk about the president. your former colleague Marjor Taylor Green on this committee reported that Trump told her

that he wanted to continue his cover-up because, quote, my friends will get hurt. Donald Trump is leading a White House cover-up right now of the Epstein files. And we all know that Epstein himself said that Donald Trump was his best friend for over 10 years. And it is shameful, illegal, and unconstitutional

that the Department of Justice has released 1% of the files. 1% of the files. Where is the pressure to get Pambondi to release the files? Instead, your focus and the committee's focused on whoever you perceive to be you, your enemies and the enemies of Donald Trump. Because let's be clear.

We want to talk to President Bill Clinton. We want him to answer our questions. We also want Galeen Maxwell to answer our questions. We also want to understand why Pambondi refuses to release all the files. 1% of the files have released, millions have been left, no publications for weeks, that is a crime. And so this White House cover-up continues every single day that the files are not released. And yet, where are those calls, Mr. Comer?

You're saying they're complying that is both a lie and shameful. It's time to end this White House cover-up. I want to yield to ranking member of the Subcommittee on Federal Law Enforcement, Summer Lee, who originally made the motion to subpoena Attorney General Pam Bondi. Thank you, Mr. Ranking Member. I just want us to speak plainly and laid a fax out or what's really happened in this committee. We are one week out from Bill and Hillary Clinton, who did not show up for their depositions, one week, and we're already having a markup to hold them in contempt.

Meanwhile, the Department of Justice has been legally obligated to hand over the full, unredacted upsteen files to this committee since August, the same exact subpoena that they are using to hold the Clintons in contempt. And please note that these resolutions are allowing the DOJ to prosecute the Clintons for the exact same things that the DOJ itself is violating. They have handed over 1% of the fouls and heavily redacted. We are five months overdue. Mr. Comer, if you've made no effort to bring in Pam Bondi. So no, the difference is not clear.

You have made no effort to demand any answers to exert any pressure. So with that, Mr. Shear, I do have an amendment at the desk, which would hold Pam Bondi in contempt for noncompliance with the bipartisan subpoena that you issued on August 5th, 2025. I hope that my colleagues will support. I yield back. Minorities times expired. We're still debating the measure, and we'll take up your amendment once we finish debating the initial measure.

I just wanted to respond to a couple of things. I agree. We need to hear from Galane Maxwell. We've been trying to get her in for a deposition, and our lawyers have been saying that she's going to plead the fifth, but we have nailed down a date February 9th where Galane Maxwell

will be deposed by this committee. And her lawyers have made it clear that she's going to plead the fifth. I hope she changes her mind because I want to hear from her. Just like I want to hear from her. What's that? You said the difference is clear.

What would you say? If the difference is clear, the difference here is that they are also trying to negotiate. She says she doesn't want to do it. You have not moved in the same way. So you are actually not applying the same standard here across the board. The deal, Jay is in the same exact subpoena.

You're out of order. You're out of order. You're out of order, missal. You're out of order. So we were going to depose Galane Maxwell. They worry not. Where are the contempt charges, Mr. Chairman? You're out of order too, Mr. Garcia.

And we will proceed with that, with that deposition. Ms. Lee said the Clinton's just missed their deadline by a week. We have been negotiating with the Clinton attorneys for five months. Mr. Chairman, five months. Whose time are we speaking on right now? This is my time. This is my time. I recognize myself, so I have five minutes.

You already had your five minutes. Well, I'm about finished anyway. I haven't used five minutes. I've used about one minute. But you use your full five minutes, sir. No, I haven't used the five minutes, Mr. Garcia. So if. God, nice.

Does any other member seek recognition on the underlying bill? Ms. Do it. Hold them in contempt. So I just, I think this is really important for everyone to get context and also to, I just actually talk to Todd Blanche this morning. And as we proceed in this committee today,

I just, I wanted to give an update, but also to let you all know that Todd Blanche has told me that he's willing to talk to any of you. And I think it would be very important as we proceed with the seriousness of this investigation specifically pertaining to Jeffrey Epstein, that there's open dialogue directly with the DOJ. When I went to move to Hold Garland in contempt of Congress, part of the issue was is he wasn't even willing to talk to Congress, period, at least not some of the members that were concerned about some of those audio tapes. But specifically pertaining to the Jeffrey

Epstein update, as of right now, what I've been told by Mr. Blanche is that the files, and I think in total it was over five million files. actually have finished review at the DOJ. They've had 500 attorneys from NSD, the Southern District of Florida, SD&NY, and the FBI, basically working on this six days a week to get these files appropriately redacted with victim information. But specifically what the hang-up is for the file release is the judge in New York that issued that made the order from the SD&Y's prosecutor's office, Jay Clayton, basically certified under oath that there would be a review to protect some of the victim information. and so that's part of the reason why it has, I guess, been more of a delay. I do think that this information needs to be released, but it's important to provide context

that unless we're going to bring in the judge in New York, which I agree with him, I do think that there needs to be a proper review of the documents if it's pertaining to victim information. It's just important to know that context. But I would be happy to, Garcia, I'd be happy to facilitate that phone call, give you his personal cell phone. He said he would actually like to talk to all of you guys. And I would encourage you guys to actually engage with that conversation because they do think this is important. And then also to a last update,

I was told and I've been trying to obtain information of one victim specifically. If you have victims that specifically want their files, they will actually take those names and get whatever files they can to them. So some of the Democrats are working with some victims. I'm working some of them, but it's important to know for context. So I yield my time.

Very good. And would you yield a couple of things? you've got two minutes left. I just want to make clear. Like most everyone on this committee, I do a lot of interviews. And I have stated repeatedly, publicly, on conservative networks, liberal networks, and everything in between, that we want the Epstein documents released. And I appreciate the update from Ms. Luna on the progress. They have been complying. We all wish that it was moving much faster, but there's a lot of documents. And if you'll remember the last document dump that the Department of Justice released,

there were many people on this committee on the Democrat side that were very critical, saying there weren't enough redactions. So they are making triple and quadruple sure that the victim's personal information is redacted. Now, do any other members wish to be heard? Chair recognizes Mr. Mfoube. Mr. Chairman, I yield to the ranking member, Garcia. Thank you. Thank you, sir. Representative Lune, I appreciate, you know, the statements, but I just want to be clear.

I think that this could go on for a very long time, but why not handicap it? And with the king of oversight, a man who has spent zero time with Bill Clinton in a hot tub. I can confirm that. Let's go to Jim Jordan live right now. Congressman, thank you. Thank you for confirming. We've done doing our investigation. Okay. Our team went out and did interviews with you and your staff, and we found zero evidence of you on any of Epstein's private jets. You received zero massages in private airports and we spent zero time in marble-lined bathtubs with Jolaine Maxwell. Yeah, very true.

Yeah, very true. Good to be with you. But your friend, your friend, Jamie Comer, has those giant poster boards up. If we could get a screenshot of that, that was a wild look of Bill Clinton doing exactly that, yet the Clinton's refused to show up. What does that tell you? Well, I think you can do that. If we're going to be able to do our constitutional duty to conduct oversight, you need folks who actually who aren't in Congress to comply with congressional subpoenas to come in so we can do the depositions and get the information for the American people. So I think now, and remember the Democrats voted for the subpoena to bring in former President Clinton and a bunch of other people as well. And most of those other people have complied in one way or the other. So that's the rub here.

that you know I'd be I'd be surprised if the Democrats didn't vote for this in the end this contempt will we'll see how it all shakes out today do you believe that the clintage will be held ultimately in contempt today and then what will happen afterward that then kicks it to the DOJ will the DOJ have the guts to go forward and yeah that'll be up that that'll be up to you know there's there's the vote in the committee there's a vote on the floor then it'll be the decision by the justice department and how they proceed so we'll see how all that shakes out but I do think there'll be the the votes in committee to make it happen today.

And I think the boat's on the floor. What the Justice Department does depends on them. But this Justice Department has been aggressive in going after people who we believe need to be held accountable who've done wrong. I mean, just look at the Minnesota situation, which is what they're, you know, they're investigating Governor Walls. It looks like the Attorney General up there, the mayor, they're doing all those investigations and a host of others. So I've got complete confidence in Attorney General Bondi, Deputy Attorney General Blanche in the work that they're doing. Do you have any insight given your position as to what is about to happen today in Minneapolis, Minnesota? Our sources tell us that we will be seeing some major arrests under a number of statutes with the FACE Act, for instance, with potential conspiracy against rights, accelerants to these charges, just like the Biden administration did for these church stormers.

Yeah. Do you have any insight there? I don't, but again, I'm confident that Justice Department's going to do the right thing here. Whether it's the fraud element or the response that you're getting from the left, the crazy response of what happened in the church on this past Sunday, what's happened out on the streets where ICE agents are getting docks, they're getting tracked, they're getting tracked, they're getting attacked with shovels and broomsticks and everything harassed while they try to enforce federal law. The only way you stop all that is to hold people accountable who were engaged in illegal activity, hindering the efforts of vice agents to enforce the law. So whether it's the fraud, by the way, we have a hearing going on right now in Judiciary Committee and one of our subcommittees on the fraud issue up there.

We got Nick Shirley testifying as we're talking right now, and I'm going to jump back into that hearing, while also we got this hearing going on, obviously that you were referencing earlier in the Oversight Committee with dealing with the Clintons and the contempt issue. So a lot going on right now in Congress. It's great to see Republicans actually doing something. It is remarkable. There is a considerable amount of fraud that has been uncovered and has been documented in your home state of Ohio,

where the second largest population of Smalley's live. Obviously, we remember the Haitian issue during the 2024 election. What is going on in Ohio? How are you going to stop fraud in your own backyard Congress? You got to get the facts, just like we're doing with the situation of Minnesota. They're in Minneapolis. You got to get the facts.

One thing the Justice Department has done, which I applaud, is they've designated a specific individual at the Justice Department to be focused on the fraud issue, not only in Minnesota, but in Ohio and everywhere else, California, all across the country. Because some of the estimates we've heard from Secretary Besson, Treasury Secretary, are this is a huge, huge amount of money, taxpayer money, just being stuffed into people's pockets. I mean, if it's anything like of a Minnesota, in Minnesota, you know, take the, take the program, the feeding our future program where they were supposed to be giving meals to children, there were no kids, there were no meals, they were just stuffing the money in their pockets. And it looks like that was what was happening with these learning centers, these autism centers, these daycare centers, the housing issue. I mean, it was a number of different federal agencies, your tax dollars, your viewers and listeners tax dollars, just being taken by these individuals. And if it's across the country like that, we need a point person like we now have at the Justice Department who's going to be focused on this issue nationwide. Yeah, excellent. So you brought up the Feeding Our Future. And this is such a strange series of events.

I had no idea that Ilhan Omar was actually behind the loosening of federal regulations for meals served. And then lo and behold, Ilhan Omar, who is now married to one of Keith Ellison's, on the top campaign aides and so on. She had all of her friends then start defrauding the federal government after her bill passed. I think it's high time that people start looking into Ilhan Omar. Where did she get all of her funds? Where did she get $30 million? How did she profit potentially from some of these scams? It seems like as soon as she passes a bill, the Somali community is lockstep to take advantage of it and defraud the federal government for hundreds of millions of dollars.

Can you give us an update on investigations into Ilhan Omar? Well, specific to the Congresswoman, that would take place in the Ethics Committee, which I think is appropriate. That's the right way to any type of examination of a member should be in the Ethics Committee. But the broader question is it looks to me like it wasn't in Minneapolis and in Minnesota. It wasn't just, oh, we're going to kind of look the other way. It was also that they were almost assisting in what was going on. And there were political reasons for doing so. For example, this program feeding our few. future, there was a point where it was actually cut off. The Department of Education in Minnesota was saying, we're not going to keep passing federal funds onto this organization. So they stopped it, and then a month later they restarted. And I asked the question a couple of weeks ago in a hearing here in D.C., I said, why did it restart? And the answer given from one of the representatives in the Minnesota legislature says there was a threat of a racial discrimination lawsuit. So they played the race card. They did what the left typically does. The left will tell a lie. We're feeding

kids. Media will report the lie. Oh, what a great program. And then when you tell the truth, no kids are getting fed, they call you a racist. And that's what they were planning to do and started to do. And then what had Minnesota, the elected officials and the government do, they turn the money back. They turn the spicket back on. And then the political advantages, because there was a meeting where the Attorney General met with some of the leaders in this program. And a few weeks later, he starts getting campaign contributions to his campaign. So that's the real angle I think we need to dig into in a broad way with the governor, the mayor, the attorney general, and anybody else. What is your prediction for what will happen in Minnesota? I know this is just a

handicap, but you've been at this for a long time, Congressman. I think the Justice Department is, I mean, there already been 50, I think 57 people indicted with the program feeding our future, the two top people. I think it's Saeed Salim and Amy Bach. They've been indicted. They've been convicted. They're in jail waiting sentencing. So the Justice Department's already digging into this. What we need to do is find out how widespread it is. And then the point person at the Justice Department can go prosecute where appropriate around the country. Yeah. I mean, obviously, this is something that is, I believe, everywhere across America, we were just in California. And what we found shocked us and we're going to be, we're going to be publishing our investigation very

soon here. But I wanted to just really quickly before you go pop up. Some of this, footage from Ohio Tyler, Tyler Oliver. He's a YouTuber similar to Nick Shirley, somebody who you should absolutely call into your committee. He just did a investigation where he went through Columbus, Ohio, and was able to find dozens of fake Somali daycares get screamed at, yelled at, couldn't enroll his kid. And it is the same thing with other independent creators here, famous, you know, the famous screaming. woman here, whatever this place is. But this one went viral as well. So like, this seems to be a major problem also in, yeah, there you go. There's the meme. I know that you have to run, but like, I guess I would like to, since Minnesota is such a blue state, it's hard to find any elected officials that really want to do anything about this. They're all benefiting from it, whether it's election fraud or whether it's financial, financially. Ohio is a red state with, you know, with red majorities and famous Republican congressmen like yourselves. And so I'd just like to,

you know, what's going to happen in Ohio? We need to dig into this all over the country. Any place. And I think it sort of underscores a basic principle of, you know, conservatives and Republicans is when you're throwing this much money, billions and billions of dollars of federal tax dollars of American hard-earned money, giving it out to these states, there's all kinds of potential for fraud. So at fraud, so it's underscores the fact that we should we should maybe scale back the size and scope of government and then, of course, investigate when we do send the money out. Excuse me. Yeah.

I mean, it'd be, I mean, it'd be nice to see. Again, Minnesota's the blue state, Ohio's red state. And that's the reason I'm seeking immediate negotiations to once again discuss the acquisition of Greenland by the United

States, just as we have acquired many other territories throughout our history, as many of the European nations have. They've acquired, there's nothing wrong with it. Many of them, someone in reverse, actually, if you look. Some had great vast wealth, great vast lands all over the world. They went in reverse. They stuck back where they started. That happens to. But some grow. But this would not be a threat to NATO. This would greatly enhance the security of the entire alliance, the NATO alliance.
