This is Nick.
This is Jack.
And this is Snacks Daily.
It is Wednesday, October 20th.
This is the best one yet.
This is our best pod we've ever done.
It's a T-B-O-Y.
Jack, what's our first story over there?
The greatest streak in Wall Street history is over at 41 quarters.
Oh my God, Domino's.
It is the end of a delicious era.
For our second story, just in time to get stuck in holiday shipping delays,
Apple just announced new AirPods.
Air pods are the new iPhone.
For our third and final story,
Instacart just made their biggest acquisition ever.
Actually, it wasn't that big, though.
It wasn't that big.
But here's the thing, Snackers.
It's a shopping cart that is so smart.
You're going to think it's a Tesla, not a shopping cart.
It's going to feel like a Tesla.
It's going to put you in the car.
It's going to drive itself.
But before we hit that mix of wonderful stories.
This is, honestly, Jack, this is my favorite mix we've ever done.
I didn't see this coming.
I love this.
We have an urgent reminder.
We do.
Urgent reminder.
Snackers, here is the reminder.
You cannot sell your soul on eBay.
You can't do it.
You can sell your vintage Michigan 1990s-era basketball jersey.
Yeah, you can, Jack.
You can also sell an Irme's Birkenbag on eBay.
You can do that too.
You can also sell that napkin.
You asked if Ryan Reynolds would kiss for you,
and you have proof that he kissed it because you can still see the Bert's Bees.
It's hard to tell, but trust us, that is Bert's Bees.
It's 100% Bert's Bees and that's 100% Ryan.
But to be clear, you cannot sell your soul on eBay.
You cannot.
And Jack and I jumped in snack style.
We've got evidence of this.
You can't do it.
In 2012, Lori from New Mexico tried to sell her soul for $400.
She did. And in the listing, she said it was barely used. It was a barely used human soul.
A 20-year-old thought his soul was even nicer and tried to sell it for $700,000 on eBay.
Now, Jack, in his defense, this was a near-mined condition human soul. He said it only had minor scratches.
His description. But you can't sell your soul on eBay because it violates eBay's teas and sees.
It violates eBay's terms and conditions.
A human soul, it isn't a physical entity.
It is a human soul.
It's a factor.
You can't auction it off on an online eBay marketplace.
We're 11 days from Halloween.
Jack and I just wanted to remind you about this when you're thinking about your human soul.
If you want, you can sell shoe souls.
Yeah, or if you want, you can sell soul food.
You can sell a fillet of soul.
But when it comes to eBay, you can't sell your human soul.
Public service announcement over.
Let's in our three.
You're tuned in the snacks daily.
We spoke to the lawyers and we got to get something legal out the way.
The snacks about the hearing food is air candy.
They don't reflect the views of the robberhood family.
It's all informational just so.
We're not recommending any securities.
It's not a research report or investment advice.
Not an offer or sale of a security.
Snacks is digestible.
Business news for you.
Robahood Financial, LLC, member FINRA slash SIPC.
For our first story, the greatest streak, Jack and I had ever seen on Wall Street.
It's over.
After over a decade, Domino's winning streak is no more.
I mean, legendary streak, Jack, you know, my dad's favorite streak,
and I think it's your favorite streak, the Joe DiMascio streak.
56 straight games with a hit.
Guess what?
Yeah.
He won the MVP that season instead of Ted Williams, who hit 406 that year.
Can we talk about UCLA basketball, though?
How about the little streak they dangled around?
What is John Wooden with 88 straight wins?
There you go.
Oh, and Fast and the Furious, the movie franchise has a pretty good streak going.
Ten straight movies.
Vin Diesel is timeless.
But Snackers, none of that compares to what Jack I think is the greatest Wall Street streak ever,
Domino's legendary hot streak.
For 41 straight quarters, Domino's updated Wall Street and told them that U.S. same store sales grew.
And for the first time in 10 years, the average Domino's
store had less sales than the year before. That is scary. They didn't grow. This is like Queen Elizabeth
retiring. This is the end of an error check. Domino's blamed the year-over-year issue because last
year, Americans had stimulus checks. They were stuck at home and they ordered tons of domino's
delivered. Yeah, this year, no stimmy check, shortage of workers, can't find any mozzarella
anywhere. That's going to hurt yourselves. But less pepperoni didn't mean no pepperoni. In fact,
total sales were still up eight and a half percent for dominoes. Yeah, and the reason? Because
Dominoes opened a whopping 323 new stores in just three months.
That's right.
Three dominoes opened yesterday.
Three dominoes opened the day before that.
Three dominoes the day before that.
How do you even keep up with that?
Oh, and yes, this was mostly abroad.
They're like tossing new dominoes all around the Philippines these days.
Which brings us to a new domino streak.
A hundred eleven quarters of international same store sales growth.
And that continues.
Domino's does streaks that.
That's what they do.
Notre Dame is going to somehow break that street.
They will somehow do this.
But Snackers, Domino's epic US streak.
Yeah, that one died.
But the Domino's strategy is thriving right now.
Domino's pays attention to your tension.
And Jack, what's your tension these days when you're ordering food, maybe a delivery or two?
Fees.
Delivery fee, driver fee, fee, fee, tax fee, delivery fee.
Fee fee is the worst fee of all.
Well, Domino's, they do their own delivery.
So you can't get Domino's stuffed garlic cheesy bread on Uber Eats or DoorDash.
You can only do it through Domino's app.
And Domino's doesn't want to microaggress you with extra hidden fees.
No, they don't.
In fact, they spent $50 million last quarter on freeze.
Not fees, freeze.
The opposite of fees.
Every 14th delivery, random number, but okay, got a free item last quarter from Domino.
So if you order from Domino's instead of like $6.99 in fees you were paying,
that Bacon Ranch pizza pie was given to you free every 14th customer.
You didn't order it.
You're like, hey, I didn't order this. Like, we know.
We know. And you're going to like it.
And guess what? People loved it.
They're talking to their buddies.
They're like, there's no fees.
There's freeze at Domino's.
The biggest source of new customers for Domino's last quarter was the new freeze instead of fees.
So, Jack, what's the takeaway for our buddies with a new streak over at Domino's?
Direct competition isn't necessarily the correct competition.
Snackers, you got Papa John's Pizza, A-16 in San Francisco.
Big Knicks late night slices on the Upper West Side on regular pizza downtown.
Danny Sweetest sauce and Q Gardens.
Big chain pizza or local pizza, Hawaiian pizza or deep dish pizza, pizza is Domino's direct competition.
But their focus last quarter wasn't on pizzerias.
It was on delivery apps, which are tech companies.
Tech, the opposite of pizza.
It's tempting your appetite away from Domino's app by offering you everything from sushi to Vietnamese to fancy salads
in other delivery apps.
Pizza is Domino's direct competition.
But delivery apps are its correct competition.
For our second story, Apple just unveiled AirPods 3, the trace.
Heads up iPhone, AirPods are becoming the next big Apple profit puppy.
Are we doing this again, man?
Didn't we just do this like a month ago?
Wasn't there an Apple event like a month ago?
What's going on here?
It feels like a Nissan seasonal sales event is what Apple's doing.
Used to be every year.
Now it's like every couple months.
Yeah, President's Day.
Mother's Day graduation event, Apple event. Here we go. You like that one? We'll do another one.
We're focused on Monday's AirPods announcement from Apple because the third generation of AirPods is here and it's
$179. Yeah, we're talking shorter stems. They're more discreet. You're going to get lobe envy when you see
these. You're going to get low envy. And these AirPods eliminate pocket friction.
They do because for music, for podcasts, if you're just going to like take a phone call with your buddy,
you don't have to pull out your iPhone. You can just use the AirPods. And these new AirPods, you can
squeeze it once to play or push pause, squeeze it twice to get the next track, or squeeze it
three times to go back to the previous track.
Now, here's the kicker, which Apple, like, awkwardly kind of is pointing out.
Siri actually works.
She works.
I swear with AirPods one and two, I constantly ask for Siri's help and she never helps me.
Hey, Siri, volume seven out of ten.
Make it happen.
Well, with these ones, they're actually going to work.
If you say, hey, Siri, call boo.
They'll call boo.
Okay.
I changed it.
We just set off my Siri, by the way.
Siri, can you give Jack and me a few minutes?
We're trying to record this podcast.
Here's podcasts.
But here's where Jack and I find fascinating about these AirPods updates, eliminating pocket friction.
That is just the start.
According to the Wall Street Journal's reporting, Dr. AirPods is coming soon.
According to the PFWTMs, Dr. AirPods is in the office and we'll see you now.
Apple is working on AirPods that will enhance hearing, read your body's temperature, and monitor your body's posture.
We're not kidding. This is an aggressive stuff. If you're slouching, AirPods will notice and then we'll alert you, Jack, you're going to have to set up straight.
Thank you, Siri. You just unherniated my disc. Next up, AirPods could be used as hearing it.
AARP, just joined Club Apple. And it all makes sense because Tim Cook said two years ago Apple's greatest contribution to mankind will be in health.
Well, we're looking at the iPhone. It's not helping our health that much. It's just sitting in our pocket.
In fact, it's probably not helping with any kind of health because you're staring at an iPhone. You're not watching.
walking around a park doing like a hike.
But AirPods are in your ear.
You can wear them all the time while you're taking a hike.
And also, as I learned from the pediatrician this morning with Wilder,
ears are important for your health.
Pediatricians check your ears.
Ears are really critical.
So, Jack, what's the takeaway for our buddies over at Apple's AirPods?
AirPods could be the next profit puppy.
Snackers, if AirPods are more than audio, then they could be the ultimate wearable.
Don't just wear them during a phone call or a podcast.
Wear them all the time.
For health, for hearing, you could be asking a series of directions
to anywhere she could be helping you via AirPods, no friction.
And this smart wearable could be a lot more subtle than Mark Zuckerberg's Rayband Facebook
glasses.
And here's the wild part.
AirPods sales are already five times more than the number two headphone seller, Bose.
Let that sink in.
AirPods selling five times more than Bose.
But with new features like Dr.
AirPods, Apple could charge even higher prices and they could make even more profits for Apple.
It's only a matter of time before AirPods come in different styles, different colors like
earrings and then you're going to pay more because you've got to get the blue ones. You got to get them.
If AirPods become an essential wearable, they could replace iPhone as Apple's profit puppy.
For our third and final story, this one's wild. Instacart just made its biggest acquisition yet.
Capers smart shopping carts will keep grocery stores in love with Instacart.
Okay, Instacart, you know, Instacart, the $39 billion delivery elephant in the grocery store room.
They've got a challenge. They need to convince grocery stores.
to sign up for Instacart delivery.
But they also need to assure those grocery stores that they won't use their data from all those
orders to launch their own Instacart Grocery Star, which could be a smarter grocery store.
Which could put them out of business eventually.
Ipso facto Instacart just acquired Caper AI for $350 million.
Caper AI makes super smart physical shopping carts that you can push around the grocery store.
These things aren't even just super smart.
Jack and I jumped in snacks style.
This is like the most expensive shopping card.
in the history of the world.
There's more cameras and sensors on this thing than like Tony Stark's suit.
So is the shopping cart?
Oh, no, it's a Navy submarine.
No, it's a shopping car.
Now, since we're all ordering groceries from our smartphones these days,
Kaper decided to turn the shopping cart into a smartphone, basically.
That's why these shopping carts look like a Tesla pinned by exhibit.
First of all, they have a tablet, like an iPad.
Basically like a Tesla, actually.
The tablet displays the grocery list that you pre-planned in the Instacard app.
Exactly.
And then the shopping cart, it's not just the shopping cart.
it's also a scale.
Toss in a bunch of bananas.
It knows the weight.
It knows how much to charge.
No awkward putting it in those dangling baskets by the produce section.
1.3 pounds.
You're like waiting for the basket, you know, to like finish leveling.
You're like, why am I still doing this?
This is what people did 500 years ago.
And I get this.
The shopping car has GPS.
It does.
Because, Jack, you can't find saracha.
You never know what aisle the saracha is in.
I have no idea where canned pumpkin belongs in a grocery store.
I always have to like ask the guy.
I'm like, hey, I know you're loading something.
really heavy onto a shelf, but can you guide me to the saracha because I have no idea where I am?
Yeah, you're not helping their performance review by making them bring you to the other side of the
grocery store. So these caper shopping carts have turn-by-turn directions to get you to Igle 6,
like they're powered by Bobby Flay. And then there's push notifications that will come up on the
tablet because the peaches are going bad. They want to save you some time.
So they throw you an instant promo, it hits your shopping cart 20% off all stone fruits,
even though no one knows what a stone fruit is. Peaches are going bad. You better come by our
peaches. And that's not all. These shopping carts also informed the store. The store may notice that
the shopping carts have all been passing by the dips, which informs the store to order some
more hummus because you're probably running out. Add it all up. And then at the very end,
snackers, you just walk out. You just roll the smart shopping cart out. That's it at the end.
The card's already weighed your produce. It's already counted the number of polar celtzers you bought,
and it's already charged your Chase Sapphire card. So, Jack, what's the takeaway for our buddies
over at Kaper Shopping Carts.
Instacart, just assured grocery stores, it's a friend, not a foe.
Snackers with Caper, you can get groceries delivered through Instacart,
or you can go pick them up yourself using this smart cart,
which frankly sounds a lot more fun.
And in both cases, grocery stores are benefiting from sales
from Instacart's customer base.
In fact, according to Caper's statistics,
you end up spending 18% more in the store
when you use a smart shopping cart.
And grocery stores are extra thankful for Instacart's fancy carts
because they see them as a defense against Amazon
who's whipping up super smart grocery stores of the future.
They're a defense against the Amazon dark arts.
Capers, smart cards help solidify Instacart's reputation
as a friend, not a phone.
Jack, can you whip up the takeaways for us over there?
Domino's 41-quarter U.S. growth streak has ended.
So it's offering freeze instead of fees.
Because its direct competition isn't the correct competition.
AirPod's version three kills pocket.
Friction.
Version 4 could be Dr. AirPods.
And if AirPods are more than audio, then they could be the ultimate wearable.
Instacard just acquired smart grocery store shopping cards.
Defense against the Amazon Dark Grocery Arts.
Now, time for our snack fact of the day.
This one's sending by Nathan Cormier from Michigan.
America has two major U.S. stock markets, the New York Stock Exchange and NASDAQ.
The two great biceps.
And together, all the market cap, all the value in them combined is over $51 trillion.
There is $51 trillion worth of stock listed on the NASDAQ and New York Stock Exchange.
Now, here's the kicker. Those two exchanges make up 54.5% of all the stock in all the world
in all the global stock market value. London, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, Paris. Milan, you name it,
big city, public markets. All of it combined less than New York. Snackers, you look fantastic
today. Jack, how did Wilder's ear look at the pediatrician? Whereas ears looking good, I'm curious.
As a potential podfather, I'd just think I should.
He wasn't happy about it.
He wasn't thrilled that this pediatrician was messing with his ears.
If I were seven months old and had someone sticking something in my ear, I wouldn't be that happy.
It's not a stethoscope.
What's it called?
It's called Future Doctor Air Potts.
Snockers, Nick and I, we'll see you tomorrow.
Can't wait.
And before we go, congratulations to Anthea and John Mark, moving to Greece.
That's just fantastic.
That sounds lovely.
That sounds like a good plan.
And congratulations to Elena Bratman, whose girl,
bossing in New York City with a new job. And Eric Perez, who just got a new job offer over in Northridge,
California. Congratulations. Let us know if you accept that, Eric. And happy birthday to Dane Nicholson
in Huntington Beach, California. And Madeline Alvarito down at San Jose, Sharks fan.
Happy 40th to Tara Murrill in Hasbrook Heights, New Jersey. And happy birthday to Omari and up for Marlboro,
Maryland. And snackers. If you're celebrating something today, make it a tee boy. Celebrate the wins.
This is Jack.
I own stock of Amazon, Nick own stock of Apple.

Yeah, you accidentally activated Siri.
Yeah, you'll figure that out.
