Man, I saw on X Twitter. Nobody calls it that. Whatever. That Pittman was trending. And I was like, oh, no. This is on Sunday, too. I'm like, this is it. Apparently it wasn't.

There was just a bunch of memes, I guess they made about him. But I thought they fired him. No, the LSU win was enough to get him through the season. Tennessee? Tennessee win. Excuse me. Because the LSU lost. Yellow, I think yellow.

But LSU had like cool white. I'm not thinking of Green Bay. Do they both have all whites? Green Bay had all whites. Did they let you have all whites? Yes. Right? I think so too.

They went white tiger? I think so too. That's pretty cool. That's cool. So I think, and again, this is not an Arkansas podcast. I think we play Mississippi State. If we lose that game, it's probably over for them. But we beat Texas.

He came back and won the game. It was crazy. Yes. Oh, I didn't even see that part of it. Who did I have? Yeah, Arkansas. Plus two now.

How do I always put them in stuff? You picked Arkansas? I don't know. I'm stupid. I hate me. Okay, so here are my other teams. These are my secondary favorite teams for the year. Number one, Oregon. For sure. Nice. We were just there. Not even that because we can reveal now and we can only reveal a little bit because it's going to continue.

So what we couldn't reveal until it happened was they have an entire... Strategy? They have an entire... It's not even a formation, but like a set when they hold a card up of my head on it. Yeah. Because that's not necessarily a...

Coach Langing texted me yesterday, and he texts me the video and a picture in the middle of the game. I didn't watch the game. It was on Thursday night late this last week. Friday night.

I know it feels like Thursday night. I don't even know it is. A long time ago. I don't even know. But yeah, they're using my head not as a play call, not as a formation. Communication. but they are communicating something that's fair

I can say all that right yeah so because no team has done that not even my own Arkansas team they've used my head to like call something Oregon is my number one team at my secondaries my number two favorite team is Indiana like their coach

well they're red and I can like I can act like Arkansas okay and I've like Signetti I've been telling you guys about him for weeks and weeks at this point he's awesome Google me he's like Toby Keith Google me all I do is win and they play Nebraska Now, they didn't played really any big games up until this week.

And so it was like, oh, they're going to get drummed. They won by 50. They've been winning by a lot. Yeah, but they haven't played anybody. I know, but even when other teams don't play anyone, they don't beat them by that much. But the big deal was they're finally playing a defense. Yeah.

Cool. And Nebraska is a good team. Yeah, cool. And they were not a good team this week. Indiana was awesome. And they're red. I like that. I'm drawing to red things because that's my favorite color.

So we got Oregon at one, Indiana at two, and at number three. Ah, I got it. Give it. Army. Vandy. Oh, same colors. Dang it's so close. Vanderbilt. Because they got to begin this week, I believe.

Is this week to Texas again? Yeah, Texas is here in Nashville. That's funny. Oh, Mike, you can't try to go to that? I'm going, yeah. So Vandy's my third favorite team of my secondary tier of teams that I'm looking at and rooting for. glad to see let's just say

Yeah. It's a lot of cut, jump, cut, jump. We play for two and a half hours. So it was me and Kevin and George Burge and Gator. And it was kind of a couple hours beforehand thing. I was like, hey, the weather was awesome. Great. Come over.

I got a pickleball court. And so they came over. And Kevin got pretty good, pretty quick. Like, the first time ever was, like, last week. And then Kevin, like, started to be his own player. And, like, got to be pretty good. Yeah, I'm coming for you guys. You ain't.

I'm looking at you. You don't have to come for me, man. You'll beat me, no problem. No problem. I'm not there yet. There's no part in you that's, like, bring it. I'm not there yet. But he's only played once.

Yeah. This is only a second time ever. No, I know. I've played three times. You said you're not there yet. He's not even to where you are. Yeah, but he's already talking crap, and he wants to fight me. I'm not ready to fight.

No one said fight. Well, on the court. Pickle style. No. You're not touching pickles. You're literally like, yeah, pickle fight. Thought he wanted to pickle fight me. He just wants to play you.

Yeah, see, I'm not ready to. He's not a dog. Because you just like brought up a little competition. I know. He's like, it's all you, all you. You got no dog in you. I got a dog once I feel like I'm getting better.

You got kitty. No. I beat you playing, what, three? We went to three. Those games are not games. Those are not games. Whoa, buddy. you said, let's play the three.

Because all those are warm-ups. Yeah, and I beat you at that three. Okay. But you don't feel like you've gotten better at all? A little bit, but I'm not there yet. I saw you. What is there? I need to win a game. Hold on. You can never count a...

You tell Eddie. You can't count a three or as a win. No, no, that's warm up, man. You're just trying to get warm. You're just trying to warm up by actually running around. And it's like, we're going to play three years. They never count as games. If you play a five or it starts to count as like a game, that would count. So two more points that could have beat you? Yeah, because three years are never games. Those are literally only warm up points.

You said, like, hey, let's play two, three. That's the game. If you said, hey, let's play to one, that's the game. Okay. Going to like 7 or 11 is a... 7 is like the normal game. Seven's like a quicker if you have people playing around. Three is like, you could do that.

Just like double faulting in the... Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And that was pretty much our game. You got no dog in you, huh? No, I do. I'm just, like I said, like, I need time to get better. And then, because he's an athlete. I'm not an athlete.

I'm like the dude that was born without legs and I got to learn how to walk first and then we'll play. Oh, that's you. That's making quite the comparison there. Pretty dramatic, dude. Kevin's an athlete. But I would, okay, you don't. I'll take that.

You don't have the dog in them now. Yeah, I'll take that. Oh, no, there'll be a time when I play the pickle and I want to beat both of you guys. They'll play the pickle. You won't be my pickle. You won't beat me. Like a real game to 11, you will never beat me.

4A city champion tennis player? Of course he was. And he played golf at. Of course he was. They played golf at Texas. He's like, it was just 4A. And I'm like, dude, I went to a 1A school. and I got no titles now a guy that comes from California we don't have the A's

is it the higher the better yeah single is the highest and Arkansas 5A was the highest you could get to oh right 5A 2 in Texas yeah so George was 4A

champion so they're a little smaller school that's why I meant like no no but big but still 4As are big schools yeah yeah not a 1A yeah not a 2 or 3 4A is so yeah George is a really good tennis player

and yeah George George competes. Yeah. Which I'm, we play golf with them, but he's so much better than us. They never has to like push and compete. By the way, George Burge, he sings a song, I got my mind on you,

I got you on my mind. And then he's got, She only listens to cowboy songs. Whatever it is. That song's a jam. It is a jam. But yeah, he, George has the dog in him. Yeah, he was yelling at me yesterday.

On the same team. On the same team, yeah, like, rush, rush. Because we played doubles a bunch, and then we played some singles at the end. and I played Kevin in the first singles because nobody wanted to play singles and Kevin's like, I'll play, because Kevin's got a little dog in him.

Yeah, because he's an athlete. And Kevin moved really well. I'm better pickleball player now, but Kevin's an athlete for sure. So did anyone beat you yesterday? No. And then George was like, fine, I'll play. I was, because singles.

Yeah. And George is like, okay, he's probably beat down a little bit from that match. We already played like a half hour of doubles, 45 minutes. And then singles, and then I beat George, like five to two or five to three. And then Gator.

played and I put him away. He's old. And then I play. Then we went back to doubles. Went back to doubles. Yeah. Yeah, it's fun. Wip up for two and a half hours. You sent me the video and like the way you guys hit the ball. Like you and George, that was the video, right? You and George? I mean, the way you guys hit is next level hitting. Like, I just try to get it over the net.

You guys are, bah! George knows what he's doing, like even with his offhand. You know what I mean? Backhand? Like tennis players? Yeah, they like, it just looks smooth. And I'm over here, like, yeah. I'm just trying to get it over the net. George's strength is knowing how to like hit back hands with slice on the ball. Yeah. What's my strength?

That curve. Hard hustle, just hustle. Or placement. You're good with placement. You are good at placement. Like you know where you want to go and you go with it, whether it's my chest or in the back corner. Oh, do I put it about body bag?

I tried a couple times and I was like, F this, boom, right in his chest. Because you've said that you're like, if I put it around the middle, then I don't know what to do with it. No, no, not even that body bag. No. Hit him in the body with the ball. Really?

Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Well, you can't, I mean, it's a wiffle ball. It doesn't really hurt. It's like the most embarrassing thing in pickleball. A couple things. There's people in the comments. I posted a video.

One is a little experiment because it's not like the video. The video was just Kevin shooting it with my phone. And sometimes I'll post content. I'm like, this is really good content. It gets like 80,000 views. And sometimes I post up garbage and it gets like $500,000. Right. And so I was like, let me see what happens on this pickleball video.

Just shot from my phone. It was going crazy. Really? The one that you sent me? Yeah. Wow. Yeah. I mean, dude, you guys look impressive.

No, no. That's not why. Oh, why. It's just, Instagram just take certain things. just runs with it. And so, I'm just going to start posting crap up there now. No, but then it won't work. It's when you really don't expect it. It doesn't know what I expect. The universe is like, Instagram does not know what I expect. I know you think it does. They're smarter than you think, man. There are listeners in the comments that are like, you should move your foot here. You should do this.

You shut up. Yeah. I will be at a thousand bucks against anybody in my comment, not from this moment on, anybody that's pre, that's been like, get your elbow. I bet you $1,000 I'll beat you. We have a new court built at the house. And I was like, thanks for getting that some people actually think Eddie and I built that court. And he's like, I can't believe, like the job. And I was like, oh, do you thought we built? No, dude. You told him that we didn't? Yeah, yeah. Then Gator shows up and gets on and it comes in and he goes, man, you guys a great job with this court.

And I keep thinking everybody's kidding. And I was like, dude, we didn't build this court. It's like amazing. It's like a real life. We hired, yeah. Yeah, so we played for two and a half hours. And it was awesome, wasn't it? Yeah, it was a great time.

The weather was just phenomenal. Asked both of these knuckleheads to come. Reed's like, one of my sinuses is sore. Oh, no, you did it. I know my throat, man. His hangy-banggy? His hangy-bangy was like, I don't feel. And Eddie was like, I have 11 kids.

I can't. You have practice on Sundays, man, which is stupid. Why have practices on football Sunday? I don't understand. Yeah, that's true. Except that's the day that people aren't doing anything. Correct.

Right. You know, there's also that. Okay. Let's do a tittle tattle and then we got some more stuff to talk about. Let's go now. Just talking about it. Pick a ball all the weekend. So if you could play against anybody in the world, who would it be?

I guess the question is, do I want to play somebody? I mean, I would play somebody that I would, David Letterman. Just to talk. Just to hang out and meet him. Although I'm afraid he may be a little too old now. But I would still just use that as example. Okay, you can force anybody to come play pickleball with you. Okay, David Letterman, and he sucks, and he's like 70.

Yeah. And I'm like, who cares? Let's just talk, dude. But if it's also like play and compete, maybe like Tom Brady. Ooh. Because I feel like, or Michael Jordan. Ooh. Like they're goat athletes.

They can probably still move around a little bit. Brady more than Jordan, obviously still. I would think Brady more than Jordan. But also, and you can talk and hang out, but you can still probably get in a good game. Like, that's fun. So, yeah, I probably go Brady If they're like, pick anybody And they have to come play and pick a ball

And they have to be with you for an hour and a half That'd be awesome That'd be Brady If it's tennis players I mean, it'd probably be Rodic But I could play with him at any time Sure He even tweeted me after I posted the video

And he was like, oh, you guys look pretty good And then I replied, I quote replied him Because he was messing with us On Twitter and I was like, hey, I do virtual lessons If you knew to the game, I could teach him I saw Logan Ryan commented on your Instagram too, huh? Yeah, Logan Ryan's a big pickball player. Has one at the court.

We all went. Yeah. Yeah, we all went. All right. Next up. All right. After putting up 56 on Nebraska this weekend, is Indiana a real threat in the Big Ten? Oh, would you mind pulling up their schedule, please?

They are 7 and 0. They have won every game by 14 points, and we had talked about how they really had them played anyone to this point that would be considered a team that you would go, oh, they beat them. Now they're legit. They finally had that with Nebraska. I know they have to play, and I know they play Ohio State still, but can you read me week to week? Yeah, week to week here. Versus Washington. Okay, we got another little test there.

Washington's pretty good. Go ahead. At Michigan State. Okay. I mean, playing Michigan or Michigan State's fine. I mean, playing Michigan or Michigan State, even when they're bad, is still a test. Because it's not JMU. I mean, he played JMU where he came from.

He's been playing some of those schools. Is that James Madison? Yeah. But still, what's Michigan State's record? Well, they went two games, three games? but it doesn't matter they're still Michigan State 4 and 3 Okay they still have athletes

All right go ahead And then Michigan versus Michigan at home That will still be a really cool Even though they're not the old Michigan That'll still be a good test Go ahead At Ohio State That's it that they win that one

So do I think that they will run it? No I think they probably have two losses in that mix Whatever that I think Ohio State's probably a loss I just don't think they have the horses to keep up Even if they out scheme outplay I don't think they actually have the athletes to keep up there and then they'll probably

drop one of the Michigan, Michigan State, Washington games. Mostly, because that's just three relatively to pretty good teams. And if played three of them, odds are you're going to get pushed in one or two. So I think they probably lose two of the four, but who cares, that's awesome. They ranked first in the Big Ten.

I know, isn't that crazy? Yeah, Signati. Everyone's talking about Oregon, Ohio State and Olson, Indiana, seven weeks in? But again, they haven't played. I know. You know. And they got Purdue to end the season,

but that's a win. I would think so, yeah. All right, what else? NFL here, after handing the Vikings their first loss of the season, are the line as the best team in the NFC. That was a great game. I mean, it was a game of the day, right?

Awesome. Oh, yeah. I mean, score, last drive, score, they won the Philgo, right? Yeah. That was a really good game. After Montgomery fumbled and the Vikings picked it up

and returned it. Yeah, yeah. That was a really good game by two really good teams. I would compare that to the Oregon, Ohio State game where that happened and I'm like, oh, if they played it again, I don't know that I would absolutely

deem one the absolute favorite. So they're both really good and that can probably be the NFC championship. It'll be fun. That would be fun. I hate that Aden Hutchins out. I know.

But it's pretty cool. Pretty cool. The Vikings are good. Pretty cool. The lions are good. I mean, they were good last year so now it's not so new that the terrible lions are good.

But those are teams that usually aren't that good. It's pretty fun to watch them both be good. You know, you have the commanders and the NFC. They want, they want, but they basically played the Indiana JV team. And Jaden and Daniels didn't play. Yeah, he got hurt in the first quarter. But he, how, how significant, it's not like a Brown situation, right?

No, I don't think so. I don't think. More is, more is come out, but yeah. And also they were playing garbage. So when you're playing garbage, you can be a little hurt, a little quicker. Yeah. I don't know that's the case. I don't know what his injury is.

And who do they have next week? Do we know the commanders? But also the bucks, the Packers, the good one for them. needed that went over the Texans to like exclaim we are one of the top tier teams. Texans blew that. Commanders play the Bears. Yeah. Who's a backup over there?

Be a tough one over there. Oh, God. There's a guy that had two last names. Valdean Scantling? No. I've never heard of the guy before. Driscoll? Clyde Haller.

Eagles, which did win. They did. They had to win that game. 49ers, but Iukes out. Yeah, I don't know. Like they tore his ACL, right? That's what they're saying is likely. Hasn't come out yet, but yeah.

But then you have a quarterback you just drafted. First round. That's a great problem to have, though. I guess if you have to have a problem. Yeah, I'll take a Patriots. Yeah. That's Patriots, bad not. Actually, Drake May, I will say, Drake May looks awesome.

Dude, two touchdowns. Yeah. Dude, he slings it. Dude, yes. He just chunks. and your offensive line is terrible. Awful. Receivers, Polk is... Made through no interceptions, I don't think.

I didn't seem to any. No, no, no, no. Yeah. He looked great. I would have been happy with that game because you lost and you saw growth in your quarterback. Exactly. That's awesome.

Exactly. It felt like a win internally. I was like, you know what? We won this game. We're winning this season. You won and you stay at top of the draft board. Exactly. Go ahead.

Last one, despite having Patrick Mohams at QBD, you think the Chief's defense is a main reason they're still undefeated. It's a massive part of it. And Mahomes won't lose games, right? He does a lot of the magician stuff when he needs to do the magician stuff. But you're not seeing him do a lot of the magician stuff now because they don't need to. Because that will actually cause them to lose games.

Like he can do that when they need to win games. But you don't see him doing a lot of the overhead. Watch this. Sticking my butt. Come out my mouth. He doesn't need to do that. He just throws it away now. Because the defense is so good.

They picked off Brock three. Three receptions, yeah. Pek him off three times. Mahomes has four tenured passing yards, six touchdowns, eight interceptions on the season. So he's just a mediocre. quarterback, but I don't think he's a mediocre quarterback. I think he's playing the game he needs to play so they can win

games, and they are still undefeated. It's so cool that he's a... He knows the kind of quarterback he needs to be, and I think that would drive me a bit crazy if it's like, I'm really good, and I can do extra stuff, but they don't need me to do extra stuff, and me doing extra stuff might actually cost us games, so I'm going to just be an average quarterback because that's all we need in order to win the game. And if you do need me to do the whole stick in my

butt in my mouth, I will do that. So defense is just allowing just over 14, 15, 16 points a game. Yeah. So they're legit. The defense. I mean, the team, obviously, but yeah, the defense is legit. It's awesome. Good for them.

I didn't see it. The coach threw it and then they scored the two-point conversion or the touchdown. It was one of the two and then Aaron came off field. He grabbed the flag. He threw it. He's like, get the crap out of here. He's a douchebag. Because we scored anyway.

We're now going to go over and talk to Brandon Marcello, who is my favorite sports writer, college sports writer, and all of football. He's how I found out that Oklahoma fired their offensive coordinator this morning. B. Marcello on Twitter, or is that he calls it X. Yeah, X. Nobody calls it X. Or Twitter. Unless you're trying too hard.

Brandon Marcello, go follow them. Big fans of them. Here we go. On with Brandon Marcello, who I just read your article today. I did not know that Seth LaTroll got fired at Oklahoma. How breaking is that? Sunday night. Not too surprising, but we're getting into the bloody season.

A lot of coaches losing their jobs. I guess being someone that has a relationship with, well, people that have a relationship with Oklahoma, I mean, he went to church and my wife's family and stuff. He went to North Texas head coach, right? Is that where he came from? Yeah, very much so, yep. And so is it really his fault? I mean, they got two freshman quarterback.

Is it Seth LaTral's fault or did he have to just be the guy that fell? He had to be the guy that fell on the sword, so to speak. I also think that they didn't prepare themselves well enough as far as just building the staff out there. When Jeff Levy left as the O.C. there to go be the head coach at Mississippi State, they have an offensive staff that's not really full of guys that can scheme, so to speak, other than Seth. they don't really have kind of a war room to get in and there to kind of bounce ideas off each other and game plan. And I'm very concerned and interested to see how Oklahoma responds with this. It's just as far as who are they turning two to one to scheme things up and are they going to change the format in there?

Because they didn't really have kind of a war room to develop game plans. It's pretty much just all on Seth. It's tough. If you're going to hire a coach, it feels like to me a lot more success with a lot of these young offensive guys. And Venables is obviously a very defensive. coach. I mean, that's what he's known for and his defense has been good. But holy crap. I mean, and they gave him that that extension without really ever having won anything. Any chance or looking at that? Like, why do we jump the gun so early? Yeah. You know, more and more schools

are doing this. And I don't know why. And I had some agents reach out to me during that game going, wow, they extended him and gave him a pay raise back in June or July, not even right after the season. And when no one was in danger of stealing him as the head coach or even anything like that. So why are you waiting until the summer to get that done when you usually get that stuff done in the spring? And for that matter, why are you even doing it anyway? Because he hadn't really done anything. He got you the nine wins or whatever. But going to the SEC, you don't know what that was going to look like.

You just lost your top-tier offensive coordinator and Jeff Leby. And you're pushing all your chips in the middle of the table with a coach that had only been there two years so far. and you're doing so where, you know, usually people get big pay raises because others are coming after them, and that's not happening with Brent Venables. And for my Oklahoma family, the only thing that could have saved the night even a bit after their game against South Carolina, which was over from the very, very, very beginning was Texas losing. And Texas did lose, and I found great joy in that. I did, for one, being an SEC guy and also being a Texas hater.

So Texas did make a run at the end and make it a one-possession game. How much of the game did you get to watch? And what do you think the biggest difference in those two teams was? Georgia just seemed a little bit better prepared for that game. They were so much more. I mean, defensively, they were terrorizing Texas all night. They only allowed, what, 38 yards in that first half. You see some of the motions, the pre-snap adjustments that the defense was making.

Remember, in this day and age of college football, they now allow coach to player communications in their headsets. But that turns off. when the play clock goes down to 15 seconds. And Georgia, when the communications went off and the offense was done making their adjustments, the defense was making pre-snap adjustments of their own right before the snap.

And it was absolutely terrorizing them. They didn't know what to do offensively, Texas. It didn't matter what quarterback was in there. And in this day and age in college football, you know, you see Georgia lose on the road at Alabama. They came out flat, but then stormed back against Alabama and ended up losing. And then Georgia,

last three weeks, everybody's going, well, they're winning, but they're not quite putting up a lot of points. They're kind of playing closer games. But again, Kirby Smart shows that great coaching and preparation really is what matters when you try to get these kids all on the same page week to week, because it's very easy for locker rooms to kind of lose focus and come out flat in some games. And we've seen that even with the likes of Georgia earlier this year against Alabama, but Kirby Smart had that team focus. And you could tell even after, to the game. Kirby Smart, who never talks about the media and all the outside expectations, goes out and says no one believed in us, and he was calling out ESPN, so no one believed in us

at ESPN to win this game at Texas. You can tell that they were using that this past week to really get their focus and preparing for their scheme, and they worked out perfectly against Texas. So Uers got hit pretty hard, and they pulled Uers, and it wasn't just because of the hit. He didn't start the game well, but nobody did offensively for Texas. And they put Arch in. Now I'm going to run a hypothetical by you. We're just going to use what we think might have happened. Let's imagine Arch makes the right read on, he threw a bad ball. He went to the guy over. There was a guy under a wide open. Let's imagine Arch actually takes them down and scores on that drive. Do you think Arch is today the starting quarterback at Texas? Yes, I think so. I also think that

Quinn Ewer's is still a little bothered either subconsciously or actually physically from his abdominal injury that kept him out the last few weeks. I think that going into that game, Georgia prepared very well and obviously we're getting after him, but I think that affected the way he was throwing the ball a little bit in that game. I don't know if his actual physical ailment or the lingering effects of it mentally. And Arch Manning going in, if he gets just one really good drive, as you said, I think we're talking about a wholly different, potentially an outcome there. I don't know if they win, but most definitely something where Steve Sarkeesian is being asked, is Arch Manning your quarterback and him probably saying yes.

Having said all that, I do wonder about the doubt creeping into the Texas locker room. It's human nature, no matter what your coach says, saying Quinn Ewers is our guy. But now you've planted that seed of Quinn Ewers could be yanked out of the game at any point now in a big game. You just played the biggest game of the year and you yanked your quarterback out. So if you're a receiver or running back, you're going to be in the locker room wondering who's my starting quarterback? and then number two, should I be budding up with Arch Manning a little bit more this week so I can get some more looks or should I be buddying up more with Quinn Ewers a little bit? Just human nature. It affects the relationships in the locker room and then it'll affect the production once on the field.

I think that Steve Sarkesian very much probably is being criticized by fans for that and rightfully so because now you've got to handle some things in the locker room that aren't being said out loud but is certainly being thought about by the players. The human nature thing is so funny, and I'm glad you brought that up because we'll stay on Texas with it. You know, and the thing was, Texas had it, they'd played Michigan. Well, as Michigan played more games, it's more and more obvious. Michigan isn't what Michigan was last year. We never thought they were going to be. However, they were still Michigan. They were still ranked. They were ranked until yesterday until they lost again. But now, who has Texas played, who has Texas beat, and now does Texas go, maybe we are not Texas with the big balls that we thought we were? that's that's a big question for them definitely and you wonder about how the players feel about that

the schedule certainly does get tougher here and you know i look at a team like texas a and m that's undefeated still in the cc as far as conference record and some of their toughest games are still remaining at home including against texas when that rivalry gets renewed for the first time in a dozen years and it's in college station so texas has much more difficult games coming up on the schedule, not just because of the talent they face like a Georgia, but they have to now go on the road to face tougher teams. So that is something that's really going to have to, they're going to overcome somehow, some way as well. Having said all that, I still think Texas is like a top eight team right now just because of the talent they have. I think that they just needed a game like

this earlier in the year that they could have built off of, whether it was a winner loss. Now they're kind of actually finding out who they are. And right now they're not a top three team, but they can definitely rebound and still be like a top five team when all of a sudden done. Oregon is number one. Oregon's a weird climb to number one because when the season started Oregon's going to ball out. They're here.

They almost lost a couple of games, but they didn't. Even like the Boise State game, they had to like hold on. But Oregon is your number one team. They did beat Ohio State. Are they in your mind the best team in college football? For right now, yes.

But Georgia's nipping at the, heals a little bit. I think Georgia, after that one game at Texas, certainly looks like it's playing better ball right now. Having said that, Oregon started off shaky this year because their offensive line had injuries and they're having to shuffle guys. There was one game where they used 10 different line-ups along their offensive line because they were just trying to figure things out against Idaho. But they've gotten healthier. They figure things along the offensive line. You know, they allow, I think, seven sacks in their first three games after last season only allowing like five or six all year. But since those first few weeks, they've

improved drastically. They're not allowing sacks. Dylan Gabriel has stopped making mistakes at quarterback. And they just picked up their first shutout road win since 1992 and a 35-0 win at Purdue. So they're clicking right now at that pass a halfway point. I do think their schedule sets up very well for them to make it into the Big Ten championship game, undefeated, and even with a loss there still getting the playoff. Their toughest game remaining on that schedule to me is actually this week when they host Illinois. Illinois just beating Michigan recently. Illinois is a type of team that will frustrate you defensively,

but offensively they keep the ball out of your hands. And if Oregon gets off rhythm offensively, because Oregon's defense can't keep Illinois off the field, that could be a potential upset there. You know, I was talking to some other folks earlier today. Illinois was something like a three touchdown underdog at Oregon, which shocked me. I think they're going to cover in that game,

if not be in that game going into the fourth quarter. Is Cam Ward any – I mean, I know he's good. Is Miami any good? They're giving up 100 points a game. They're barely winning these games. They are winning, but they're not really beating teams of statute. what the crap is happening with Miami? They're playing seven-on-seven ball right now.

It's like you go out there and just throw the ball up and see what happens. Cam Ward has been an absolute magician for them. You know, they allowed 45 points on the road in the ACC for the first time in two years and still won at Louisville. Incredible. And they're pulling these games out of their hat because of Cam Ward and what he's doing at quarterback. You know, their defense has gotten worse from last season when I thought it was actually going to get better. better. They come up big and big moments, both offensively and defensively. You wonder how much longer you can keep doing that. Because I go back to Cam Ward when he was at Washington State previously where like at Miami had to like carry them late in games. But at Washington State, he was having to carry them throughout the game and including the coaches there, just trying to get them out of bad play calls. And it led to interceptions and fumbles and struggles in the red zone. We haven't seen that at my

because he's got more talent around him offensively. But defensively, they've got to get things fixed up here and in a hurry because you can't keep chancing things like this and just count on one player to get you out of big, big issues. I mean, Miami had a chance to take over that game against Louisville going up double digits. And then the defense allows a touchdown on the very next possession to make it a game and they're having to fight for their lives at the end. But because of Cam Ward, they are a team that's still undefeated.

whereas if they had any other quarterback out there, maybe other than Shador Sanders because of the offense, they might have three losses on the schedule at this point. That just tells you how special Cam Ward is. Final two questions, Signetti and Indiana, which, by the way, they haven't played anybody. Then they kicked the crap out of Nebraska. But Signetti, what do you think about him,

and why do you also feel he's the greatest coach right now alive? He's amazing, absolutely. I've been on their bandwagon the last four weeks. I did a story on them last week, specifically on Curtis Rourke, their quarterback, who's now injured, is going to miss at least one week with a thumb injury. But their offensive system just seems like they can hit anything at any time because of the RPO and how perfect they are with it, run and pass. They're also a team built off of guys that have just had to bust their ass their entire lives, always have had chips on their shoulders. I know that's a sports cliche, but these guys legitimately have.

I mean, Curtis Rourke, I mean, this quarterback has all the measurables of an NFL guy. He had a difficult time getting recruited because he played in Canada his entire career. And the only reason why he landed at Ohio in the Mac to start his years there is because his brother, Nathan Rourke, was the quarterback at Ohio. Otherwise, no one was paying any attention to him. Indiana's top receiver, Elijah Surrott, who they called the Waffle House because he's always open, started his career at St. Francis, then transferred to James Madison, and then follow Kurt Signetti from James Madison to Indiana.

He's a guy that was barely getting Division II offers. And when he was transferring, barely got any calls from Power 5 lower tier teams. These are all guys that have something to prove. And they are just fed up with being denied that. And Kurt Signetti's the same way. He's told people since he's been in Indiana, all I do is win, Google me, go look me up, and the players believe in that. And in this day and age, I was talking earlier about how there's more talent than ever in the power conferences,

but it's also more spread out, right? So when you do that with the transfer portal, you put a lot of personalities out there that believe it's all about them. And you have a harder time as a head coach or a coordinator, getting them all to focus and be on the same page and buy into your culture and buy into your program and your scheme

and the way you do things. You ask players to sacrifice. Not a lot of players want to do that nowadays, but coaches like Kurt Signetti has managed to do that at Indiana because he's gotten guys who have never really been given big opportunities. And now that they've got it and they see it working under Kurt Signetti, they believe

all in him and they'll do anything for him. That's very rare in college football. Go look at programs like in Alabama this year, which is uber talented still, but they're undisciplined. They get penalized a lot. All of a sudden, they look herky jerky offensively. It's because of that. Kurt Signetti is kind of the perfect coach of the perfect time right now at a place like

Indiana with the transfer portal in NIL. spreading the field a little bit more evenly, but he's like one of the one lone coaches out there where everybody on that roster believes in him. I didn't notice if Canlon DeBore was wearing a collar this week, was he? I really don't remember. Was he? I can't remember either.

All I know is that he's got, if he is wearing a collar, it's real tight around his neck right now. And getting tighter. And here's the final thing I'm going to ask you, and we're going to use this on the national show. So Brandon Marcello on with us, Brandon, give me your top five teams right now in all of college football, according to you and what you have seen so far this season?

Well, right now I've got Oregon number one. I think they're the clear number one to me. But Georgia's nipping on their heels at this point after their incredible performance against Texas this past week. And even if Oregon wins but struggles a little bit against Illinois, I probably end up bumping Georgia up to number one next week. After that, I've got Ohio State. They have a buy week. They're kind of lurking the shadows after their loss against Oregon on the road.

Play that at a neutral site game is probably a different outcome. And then Miami and Penn State. Miami, I've been high on all season. I've had them at number four for several weeks now. They keep playing these close games. Cam Ward's managed to get them going late in games to win it. And Penn State, huge game at Camp Randall at Wisconsin. Wisconsin on a role since losing to Alabama. and it's because their quarterback is throwing multiple touchdowns in games. And this past week, they almost eclips 200 yards rushing against a very good Northwestern defense that hadn't allowed more than 150 yards rushing all season. Very dangerous spot for a couple of big 10 teams going into this in the top five.

I'm getting legit now. I'm getting legit. Hey, when we beat him. Got the ball shirt on. Yeah, yeah. When we beat them, where you guys? So, but I didn't like it. I felt like we beat them so many times.

Who cares? The goal posting, it just, one, it's going to cost money to get on the field. Two, who cares? It's stupid. Yeah, it's like, I don't. It's your team, too. He's your team. I know, I know.

And I would have been on the field like, you guys, what are we doing? He's fighting people. Come on. No, leave it there, guys. No, push it back. Hey Eddie, do you like it? The Cowboys didn't play? Yeah.

Oh, man, it was stress-free, dude. Like, I really woke up Sunday. Like, oh, the birds are chirping. Oh, nothing to stress out about today. And I went to bed and I wasn't upset. I hate bi-weeks. Yeah, they're boring. Even if my team sucks, I hate bi-weeks.

But I needed a break, man. There's too much going on in my life when the Cowboys are playing. Like, it's all build-up all week. Then Sunday, they let us down. I'm upset all the way to Thursday. Then game start again and start. the whole rotation again. It's too much.

Yeah. And to have a by week after a blowout too sucks, it just sits in you. Yes. We had our biweek after a big win. I just kind of wanted to play. I just don't like biweeks. But also,

I'm not the point having to play, so. I did see, like, Dak, did you get married or something? Like, Dad. He proposed, was that last week? Yeah, he just proposed. He just proposed. On the green, wasn't it?

Somewhere in a golf course? I guess, but shouldn't we be practicing? Okay. Off week. Tony Roma goes to like Hawaiian crap. Like when he used to play? The players get like four days off. Yeah, they should do something.

Yeah, but not the Cowboys. Like, we shouldn't have any days off. Like, you suck right now. We need to work. Maybe they just need some rest. Oh, maybe that's. Hey, Eddie's that guy in your comments. Hey, put your foot in front of your forearm with their bones.

but also called Arkansas winning in the freaking parlades but I let my heart get that one I let my heart get with that one I did feel like Georgia was going to come in because no one was given him a shot and that's weird for Georgia

to not get a shot and I feel like Texas hadn't really played anyone with a past defense like Georgia had Georgia's defensive line Georgia just has dudes right maybe they're not their wider Super Corps doesn't seem like as duty as they have been in the

past Carson Beck though rough couple first possessions not great but then it was on but I think listen Texas wasn't going to go undefeated anyway nobody is nobody's going to go undefeated yeah so might as well lose to Georgia Georgia lost Alabama and to hear

Georgia talk about it they're like we needed that we needed to be in a fight we needed it so I hate to have to be like oh, Texas is fine, because I just wish they had fallen a hole. But they got dropped to, what? What are they at now? Five. That's not much.

Oh, that's not much. No, they're great. You're going to be fine. You have a couple other big games coming up. Texas schedule. I know we've done this before, but I remember going through it. That was the one. If you won that one, like you were set, set.

But now there's a little doubt, but that's also probably good for the team. They just not feel like they're going to run through it now. Yeah. Because that's when you get caught up at the end. And when you get caught at the end, there's seasons over. So, yeah, that sucked. But they did make it a one possession game. Yeah, and then now going into Vandy,

Vandy's going to be like, oh, we can take them. They're going to run Vandy. It sucks. Vandy's my third favorite new team of my secondary team. Vandy's going to, they're going to run a hole through Vandy sat. I hope they don't, but I think they're going to run a hole through Vennie. Yeah. Nice.

But if Vandy does beat them, though, like, I mean, Texas go back to the Big 12th. The stadium's getting torn down. Texas leave the big, oh, yeah, I'm going to go burn my car at my yard. It's not even about the, I'm taking the pickleball court, I'm demolishing him with it. And then you have all the fans throwing stuff on the field. Yeah, it was bad. I did not watch that live.

I had to go watch back because the Arkansas game is not at the same time. So apparently it was a past interference call that really wasn't a past interference call. But then they threw all the crap and then the refs overturned it. But it looked like the refs overturned it because the people do the crap on the field. But the refs say that's not why. I don't even know what happened. The timing was weird though because there was the pass interference, right? And then they're cleaning all the stuff off because they threw all this trash.

They were upset about the call. and as they're throwing all the stuff away, they were like huddling up. And as soon as it was cleaned up, they're like, we have a call. And I thought like, oh, delay of game, maybe because of all the trash. No. Then they're going to review the pass interference, which is weird that they're going to review a pass interference.

Then they overturned it. For like a huge interception. There's a difference in a review and referees get together and talking. Review is if they go and they watch it. The referees can't come together and talk and be like that wasn't a past interference. And that's what happened. They didn't review the past interference.

They did not go to the screen. No, they didn't. Correct. Because you cannot review a pass interference. But you can go, hey, I had a really good angle on that. That's why they pick flags up sometimes. Yeah. From my, because I didn't watch it live, but I did try to watch clips and it's still not the same. It seemed to me like that's what happened, but you can't throw crap on the field.

They should have penalized the fans. I totally thought I was going to be a delay of game because it took so much to clean up. But if it wasn't for picking up the trash and giving them those 10 minutes to like talk about it, I don't think that's true. I think they would have. I think they would have. And I think that all the trash coming down just kept them from doing that right then because it was, that was kind of a moment.

You didn't want to get hit by anything. You just get out of the way and wait until it's over and then meet. I'm happy, though, for my friend today, Baron. It did seem fishy, though. It did. It did seem fishy. But looking at it from a day later, they didn't review it. They didn't go and gather underneath the beer bottles coming down, which is what would have

happened. And they didn't have making the right call, but it did look like they, if you, If you just eyes on, it looks like they changed their call because Texas don't want to beat their bottles. And now they're trying to find all the students, ban them for the rest of the season. Good, I hope so. They deserve it.

Bobby's like, well, I know who they are. I go down and start pinpointing all of them. Or we're saying, Eddie, sorry. No, that was my friend, man. Barron. It's my buddy, my Instagram buddy. He follows me on Instagram. Who?

Number seven for the Longhorns. I don't know who it is, but he follows me on Instagram. That's awesome. And I saw him follow me, and I was like, oh, that's cool. And then I followed him back. And he's the dude.

He's got a lot of interceptions. He's really good. He's a great DB. And so the whole game, I was making the joke and like, oh, that's my friend right there, number seven. And then he'd make a play and like, oh, was that my friend? That was my friend. It's awesome.

Your kids probably believe that crap. Totally. Yeah, so now my kids probably telling their friends at school right now that, yeah, I'm a dad's friend, man. He's barren. That's cool. All right, wrapping it up. Let's just walk through the games real quick.

Oregon wins. Blot from the beginning over Purdue. Miami wins. That game was just a lot of points. That was wild. It was like 11 on 6. Offenses had 11 defense That's six

just aren't playing each other. They don't play each other. Yeah. Clemson does play South Carolina at the end of the year, though. South Carolina is formidable. Yeah. They're formidable enough. for if South Carolina beats them,

then Clemson does suck. Because South Carolina is not great. Yeah. Is that their rival? Yeah. Rivalry week. In state rival. Just rival. Yeah, just rival. LSU beat Rxel 3410. A little closer than that.

The second half got out of hand. The interception turned it all around. It's so stupid. I hate life. Georgia beats Texas. That scores a little closer than the game. Texas did make it a one-possession game, but Georgia did look just like they were

more motivated and bigger and stronger. Right? Didn't they look bigger and stronger? They did. Yeah. Yes. It's funny how a team can look that way. I don't know if that's real.

And usually Texas looks bigger and stronger. But maybe Texas was like whining so much. I heard it to the microphones that I thought maybe they're not bigger and stronger. We felt fragile. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Fragile's good. It was crazy though how Kirby Smart did call out ESPN to ESPN. You guys didn't believe us.

After the game again. You got any point to the reporter as a Katie George's. You didn't believe us. Iowa State beat UCF. That's a close game. Iowa State almost lost it. They're undefeated, I believe. Iowa State is. Weekend, NFL, preview, review, review,

Jags win. Good for the Jags, winning again. You don't want to win, Kevin, sorry. I'm not, I'm sorry, you don't want to win, but your quarterback looked good. Yeah, he looks, yeah. That's the first good quarterback I've seen him about four years. Jags won. They have two wins now. Let's go, Jags. Oof, let's go.

But they're not playing London anymore. Back to the real world. Back to America. Seahawks beat the Falcons. Stop the game would be a little closer. Seahawks' defense played well. Same. Bill's beat the Titans. Well, yeah.

Mason Rudolph's now the starter. For sure, for sure? Because they bench, I thought he was hurt, right? He's hurt, yeah. He's hurt. I don't think they benched Levis. I think he just couldn't play. Guys, I'm telling you.
