Starting point is 00:03:34 Yeah, it's pretty cool talking to him, but he's also... It's pretty cool talking to him, but it's also pretty cool talking to him. What do you mean by that? Well, it's pretty cool talking to the human that is Calvin Johnson. But it's also pretty cool talking to the human that is Calvin Johnson. Yeah, that's all right. Like, both are pretty cool. glad everybody's here. Where do I start?
Starting point is 00:03:47 I struck out in slow-pitched softball. Oh, bones. I can't shake it. I can't shake it. Is it humiliating? I've seen other people do it, and I don't really don't care of that much. But higher standard to the MVP of this celebrity softball game, it was playoffs.
Starting point is 00:04:00 I was trying to hit a home run. I was just trying to hit as hard as I could, and that's the rule. Did they put spin on it? Was there? No, nothing. It was just right. And I was like, I got to give this a rip, and I missed. And I tucked my tail.
Starting point is 00:04:13 I didn't talk my tail. I did the tuck like they did in Hannibal Lecter. That's what I was about to say. Silence of the lambs? Yeah, he did the tongue just wane over between his legs. So I reached in, did that, and then walked to the dugout. And then we lost the game. Not because of that, but it was as late in the game.
Starting point is 00:04:29 And I've never done it in my life. I don't think. Did you go back to the dugout or straight to the parking lot? I went back to the dugout, but there were some listeners that I met that I did not go say by to it because I was humiliated. I was so humiliated. I couldn't wait to share it just to get it out. Yes. Did it feel better after you got it out?
Starting point is 00:04:45 No, I hate it. I like want to chew my fingers off. Hey, what did your teammates tell you, Bones? Like, did they like, hey, man, it's what happens to everyone or stuff like that? My team is really nice. I don't, yeah, some of them were, but I actually played really well all season. Like, I was a mostly bat lead off and played first or left field wherever they needed me. I was pretty good, so I don't think they could be like, man, you suck.
Starting point is 00:05:09 Right. But I would have thought that. I'd have been so disappointed in whomever did that. me, it was brutal. Last game of the season? Yeah, playoffs. It's over. I retire.
Starting point is 00:05:19 I'm done. I'm done with softball. So that's the headline that's going to be all over ESPN. We wanted to start with that. That's the biggest story of the day. In injury news, obviously, Rishieze probably out for the season towards ACL, the chiefs do not have a wide receiver. They have Xavier worthy, but they don't have, what are they going to do?
Starting point is 00:05:40 Be nice. They got Devante Adams. I don't have the money to do that unless their defense is so good. that they're going to have to actually rely on their defense a bit. Other injury news, Reed. I was about to say, I'm on that. Yes, that's why I even brought this up. What's happening here?
Starting point is 00:05:51 Well, before we even went on to hit record, our lovely Reed does this. Ow. I coughed in it just, yeah. And then we hit the button. And I don't know if that was in the recording because it was before the recording. Do you think it was caught, Mike?
Starting point is 00:06:06 Yeah, I think it was in there. Leave it in there. Okay. Oh, God. So, Reed, over the past, how long have you been working out with us? five months all right
Starting point is 00:06:16 it's been that long reed's been going pretty strong with us reed's form for the most part has improved but anytime it comes to anything with legs he just he's his all back and
Starting point is 00:06:29 there's a point where you have to not lift in comparison to the other people you're lifting with Eddie went through this when he first started Eddie's very strong now so thank you man
Starting point is 00:06:41 yeah a lot of times sometimes Eddie just do the same weight. It's pretty light, when we do that, but still. No, I'm kidding. Why give him a compliment? I'm kidding.
Starting point is 00:06:52 I'm actually kidding, but Eddie is very strong. We used to have to change all the weights. We don't have to do that anymore with Eddie. If anything, it's like a small one, a five or something. Five. It used to be a full transform. Take the 45s off,
Starting point is 00:07:02 but Eddie has worked hard, and he's, like, strong. It's really cool to see. Reed, he does it wrong, but he won't lower the weight because he's not wanting to seem less, than. The problem is he has now hurt him. I have injured myself many times. Mine's usually from overdoing it, not the heaviness of it, but like mine's in my feet and my legs from like doing
Starting point is 00:07:27 sprints. Like constant start stops. Not about doing something wrong. Yeah. Just a whole lot of start stops and I'm 44 years old now. Things start to hurt. I tore my rotator cuff and my shoulder from throwing too much, right? Reed just has to put less weight on and do it right, but he won't do it. Mm-hmm. Yet he'll still make an excuse like I had to undercooked salmon. Like be consistent. If you're gonna like make excuses, make excuses and not protect your health. No, the other day was undercooked oiled eggs. Oh, I like my spicy tacos. No, I'd only dinner for 10 minutes. My tacos were too spicy. Did you better that one the day before.
Starting point is 00:08:02 Spicy tacos. Yeah. So like spicy tacos before a workout. At least be consistent. Like if there's always something up, just order, just put less on. Mm-hmm. You can't like be macho during part of it and not be macho during another. Yeah. Be non-macho completely. Be like, hey, then my spicy tacos got me.
Starting point is 00:08:21 And then I should do less weight. We'll be like, class of greed. Good job, buddy. You're showing up. All we care about is you showing up. That's all we care about. Oh, man. But you can't be like undercooked salmon and, oh, lift it all.
Starting point is 00:08:33 Yeah. It's not on brand. Yeah, that's true. Be you, man. Have you seen the new The Penguin show on Max? That's kind of what I look. like when I walk. So he is...
Starting point is 00:08:44 A penguin? According to him, his diagnosis is a disc. Yeah, herniated disc. Oh, no. It slipped? I don't know. She said if it's not better by the end of this week than to go back. But I used to have sciatica pretty bad like five or six years ago.
Starting point is 00:09:02 Is that STD? Yeah. Yeah, it went away now, until now. With animals. From sitting down. What the? Yeah, it's just... Which one?
Starting point is 00:09:11 Like some are better than others? If you push on that nerve, it just kind of goes all down your leg. And so I think a couple weeks ago when we were lifting, I felt it first, and then I just kind of let it go for a little bit. And then a couple days it was fine. And then this time around, it really messed it up. And so I got some shots. Will, like, video him to go like watch yourself.
Starting point is 00:09:30 This is what? You're going to hurt. You're back. But he just keeps doing it, doing it, do it. Yeah. I know. Yeah. And I love my little baby bird read.
Starting point is 00:09:37 I do. But I want to slap him sometimes. I know. Because I tell them. I know. You can slap me. If you want to get better, you want to get better at it, you want to get bigger, faster, stronger. You want to get whatever your goal is, there is a point where you'll get to where you want to get,
Starting point is 00:09:53 but you can't go out and train for a marathon and do 12 miles your first day. Yeah. Like if you actually want to get to run 26.2 miles, I'm just using that as an analogy, if that's your actual goal, it's not by doing 12 the first day because you'll never get to 26.2 because you'll be so hurt the next day and so sore. Your feet are blistered that you'll be like, I'm done. I can't. I'm hurt. But I will say, though, when you do work out with other.
Starting point is 00:10:12 people like the way I was when I first started, you feel like less than. But that's okay. I know. And I do too. Lifting off those 45s for us so I can just do the bar. Like, what's the goal? Is the goal to get stronger, feel better, be healthy or look better, then you have to put aside your micro pride for what your macro pride could be that you are actually stronger, healthier. You're not now. Now you can't work out for a while. Yeah. You're out. I think I'll be good Monday for sure. Oh, you think so? Well, not for sure. You cop to it.
Starting point is 00:10:42 Yeah. And I'm loaded on medication medicine right now. So. Loaded on it, huh? I'm not loaded on it. I take what you got over there, man. I want this to be a learning lesson in the most positive way. Again, you're my baby bird. Thanks, man. You're also like three inches taller than me. But for you to get better, you're going to have to accept that you're starting from a lesser place. Yeah. Because you started later. Yeah. Same with Eddie. Eddie started later.
Starting point is 00:11:12 And just never was about ego. Yeah. If it was less, it was less. Sure, did I laugh and write little journal entries about what it was. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:20 Yes. But now he's like a boss because he did it. So you just have to pace yourself if the goal is to get better. Yeah. And I mean, I started with body weight. And now I got some weight on there. So like I can take some off and still feel good about myself. But a lot of it is I'm not.
Starting point is 00:11:37 Don't make it about feeling good about yourself. You're already in the wrong headspace. Don't make it about you're feeling good about. yourself because the weight that's on. Make it because you're feeling good about yourself because of the work you're doing and the process because you will eventually have all the way you want, but you're not if you don't go slow. Very true. Yeah. I wonder if Kevin Kluge is around to answer. Oh yeah. I've told him. I talked to him yesterday. I haven't talked to him today. Kevin's our trainer. Remember Kevin knows everything for us. Him and Reid talks. He's moving. I'm surprised it.
Starting point is 00:12:09 Reed didn't call him at the doctor. Listen to this, Kevin. Can you talk to the doctor for me? Yeah. Bobby, how are doing? Hey, we're recording our podcast, so you're on, just so you know. Okay. Wait, what? I guess.
Starting point is 00:12:24 I follow. You're all. It's me and Reed and Eddie and the rest of the crew, but we're recording our podcast now, so you're on. Just letting you know you're on. Nice. Okay. A little.
Starting point is 00:12:33 Reed, as he may have told you, thinks he, like, did something with the disc in his back. What do you know about this? What do you know about this? I know about his injury. Yeah, like he said he has like a herniated disc in his back. And he coughed earlier and went, ow. What would you, what do you say about the whole situation and what should we learn from this situation? I'm not going to play doctor.
Starting point is 00:13:01 Okay, so he was squatting. And I know in the squad he felt something pull, right? Yes. Later on he tells me it's running down his leg. anytime it runs down the leg it could be a herniated disc it could be sciatic nerve could be poop
Starting point is 00:13:20 that's true I haven't seen him since Tuesday so you know we're trying to lecture read on not so much about how he hurt himself but why he felt the need to try to compete weight wise when he knows it's probably a bit too heavy
Starting point is 00:13:37 and drop the ego part of it and not feel like he has to lift the same as me or Eddie and understand that it's a process I will actually take blame more than Reed on that one. Lawsuit, Reed. He's saying blame this. Lawsuit for you.
Starting point is 00:13:52 I'll take it. Yeah. Yeah, you know, it was a decent jump for him. I didn't say anything. I essentially invited it to have him lift that weight. I think he could handle it. His form actually looked great. I told him when he got injured,
Starting point is 00:14:12 a bracing technique could help that because I, you know, you know, that's all I got to say on that, I guess. Do you feel like, though, it could have been, and follow me here, it could have been the undercooked salmon. Oh, or the spicy tacos. Yeah, so the spicy tacos that did this. It could be the undercooked salmon.
Starting point is 00:14:37 I will say I will take the blame on it over, you know, more than read. I will say that. I'm not going to allow that. And he's a, Kevin's a selfless guy. And I can hear him trying to take the blame, which is not his fault. I had lifted that weight before, too. You have, but also my point is, I bet you it wasn't that exact squat that hurt your back. You have been trying to do everything with all back.
Starting point is 00:14:58 Yeah. And not going, oh, maybe I should do a little less because of an ego thing. And Kevin's going to push us, but he's also, if I'm like, dude, I'm hurt and I'll hardly ever say that. As a matter of fact, I don't say that. I'm a bad example of this. I'll say it. You are. You are.
Starting point is 00:15:11 But if I'm ever like, hey, like my leg is killing me, I have to say it and he adjust accordingly. Yeah, I don't think I'd say I need less way. Yeah, you didn't say that. Yeah. So. I actually want to, like, I know you guys aren't asking for this. I knew it was going to be an extremely tough challenge having him squat a 70-pound dumbbell. He never has done that.
Starting point is 00:15:30 His death has looked good. I thought he's been bracing perfectly. You're a kind guy trying to take blame. I'm not going to allow it. Because at any time, any of us can say, no. I don't think this is because I've done that before. Like, ah, there's a little too much right now because of when my shoulder was out. My shoulder was out for six months.
Starting point is 00:15:48 Yeah. And we had to do. All we're trying to explain to Reed is the process. Yeah. Like there's no need to prove yourself to anybody but yourself. Very true. With Reed, I feel like I'm being dodgy here. With Reed being two, three months in, you are right, Bobby.
Starting point is 00:16:09 I'm also for sure the main focus he should be focusing on right. now. This is on a podcast. We've known it's all this shit to everybody. Yeah, maybe. Yeah. I mean, we're literally talking about it. And I knew you would come on and try to be the nice guy and take the blame for it. And the whole purpose was that Reed shouldn't feel, because I used Eddie as an example. Eddie didn't feel like he needed the same way I did forever. And Eddie's very strong now because Eddie went through the process. And you do push us. That's your job. Yeah. But if you push us to a place where we feel like, ooh, then it's our job to say it back. Yep. Well, I hope you guys know when I ask, how are you feeling? It's not.
Starting point is 00:16:43 for just to say it. Also, in between sets, I know Bobby hates this. How does the ankle feel? How are you feeling? I'm not doing that just to speak and to fill the empty air. It's me. I need feedback. How does it feel?
Starting point is 00:16:56 Because I do gauge that on where the weight goes after that. Obviously, I can do the eye test. Like, is he moving it fast? He's moving easy for my perceived eyes. Like, is it difficult? You know, all those are into account. I did make a judgment call. I'm like 70 pound dumbbell.
Starting point is 00:17:12 Let's ride. And I think he's getting, I don't think the 70 pound dumbbells what hurt him. I think it was what he was doing before. What were you going to say about Reed though? You were like, and then you stopped. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I did stop. Because someone who's starting just now, you know, I look at his nutrition side of things to where the thing I'm focusing on with him
Starting point is 00:17:31 outside of the gym is like just getting the protein down. And I was going to take on him for eating Kellogg cereal and stay away from cereal. Loves the cinnamon toast crime. I do love it. But, you know, but that's why I was like, wait, this shouldn't be going publicly if I'm just You know It is though
Starting point is 00:17:45 It should Yeah Either right But yeah I mean Bobby you are right It is a process Yeah
Starting point is 00:17:53 The ego thing Amongst everybody Including myself Can You know Everyone Everyone can do that But it is also my job
Starting point is 00:18:01 To prevent that So It's your job to push us But also It's our job To speak up If it starts to be a bit Dangerous
Starting point is 00:18:09 Because you should push us That is the job He pushes me I want to punch him the face sometimes. But I also, I'm like, if it's not good, I'm like, ooh, I need to chill on this for a second because for sure. Yeah, because my job is to bring the intensity of what you guys would not do on your free time.
Starting point is 00:18:27 My job is to put you guys in a safe zone to find that intensity. Oh, not. Even though you guys hate me some days. We do hate you. I mean sometimes. All days, but just for a little bit of time. Like, we hate them every. Bobby just hates a small talk.
Starting point is 00:18:41 Yeah. I hate small talk, too. He's like, how's the feeling? I'm like, fine, this has work. And he's like, I'm like, I just skipped a small talk. But now you know he's asking for a purpose. But he's not. He just, because he knows I'm also never going to say I'm hurt unless I just can't do it.
Starting point is 00:18:56 Reed, the whole point of this is you're going to get there. Don't rush back. I'm not rushing. But also don't be a puss. I got you. It's a fine line. It's a fine line to walk in the middle. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:06 May I add one thing? Yeah, I have two things. This is a prime example of Reed's, let's say, injured, hurt, whatever it is. It's a prime example of still come in today because Bobby and Eddie will do their own thing. Reid will do something different, but he'll still get 60 minutes of activity in
Starting point is 00:19:24 that will completely work around his injury. I think he was planning on not coming. I was looking at his face. I agree. Reid was planning on doing nothing but skipping. Is that right, Reed? Originally. He can't hear you in a microphone.
Starting point is 00:19:35 Oh, yeah. Originally. But you can still talk in the microphone? Originally, I was just going to do some weighted back. Originally, I was just going to do some weighted backpack walks around the track here, but I'm like 50% better today. Just come in, he'll do things that have nothing to do with your back. That's great.
Starting point is 00:19:49 I'm down. I'm totally down for that. Go ahead, Kevin, I'm sorry. I was just going to say, so we have the three amigos at three. Three amigos at three. Let's get it. We will be there. And Kevin Klug, Kevin, what's the Instagram that you want to promote?
Starting point is 00:20:03 I know you have two. Clug Fitness. That's the main one. Unless you guys want to go look at my kids and the wife, on my personal phase, but Klug Fitness is the main one. For all things, fitness. But, you know, yeah, I put my personal stuff up on the Kevin Kluge.
Starting point is 00:20:18 They still hashtag you and I got Kluge? But Kluge Fitness, 1G or two? 1G, German baby. German baby? Is that like anti-American? Yeah. No, no. Everyone's like, I want to say it's Klug, but I'm like, well,
Starting point is 00:20:34 German. He dies. All right, buddy. We'll see you later on today. just wanted to get you on. So we were talking about you. We wanted you to be able to say something knowledgeable because what we were saying was not.
Starting point is 00:20:47 Appreciate it. I hope that's helpful. Bye-bye. Anyway, really, he's so nice. He's the warm. He's so nice. This is what we said to him Tuesday because two days ago. Two days ago. Because Kevin, I've been friends for a long time
Starting point is 00:21:00 to the point where it's like, the relationship that you have with the trainer is very intimate, especially because him and I were one-on-one for years, three or four years. because it's just you two doing something together you're angry at them you're happy with them
Starting point is 00:21:13 you have to trust them they have to push you and make you uncomfortable the same time so all these emotions but he is a he played college football and he's jacked
Starting point is 00:21:22 but he's also very warm and I said for a muscle head you're extremely warm I think this Tuesday that's why people like you and I see you I don't like you and you don't look warm
Starting point is 00:21:33 because you're jacked the old meat head yes and I said but you're very warm it's very warm It's very judgmental. He does. He does.
Starting point is 00:21:39 No, he does. And I told him that too. I said, dude, when I first met you, I'm like, there's no way I'm going to be friends of this guy. But he's lovely. We're great friends. Yeah, he's super kind. Yeah, he's super nice. He couldn't say a bad word about reader.
Starting point is 00:21:49 It was all his fault. He's like, it's my fault. Or like, no, it's not. Yeah, like, you don't need to say that. Okay. We'll come back and then we'll get to the Calvin Johnson interview in just a second. If you want to take the 20, are you rubbing him? I was giving a massage.
Starting point is 00:22:02 Yeah. I like that. I like that. good job. Just don't go lower. Is that what he said? Yes. Hey, I mean, go lower.
Starting point is 00:22:08 Nah, I'm good, man. Okay. So we got a 25 whistles parlay. We're doing. We do it. We almost last week I missed about one. It's close. That's close.
Starting point is 00:22:14 We're in, though. Oh, yeah. Like, we're in the groove. We're feeling good. So here we go. We're going to put three these games together. Alabama minus 23 at Vanderbilt. Alabama's going to cover that.
Starting point is 00:22:26 So we're going there first. So Alabama minus 23 at Vanderbilt. Are they? here? Mm-hmm. Wow. It's kind of weird because it seems like
Starting point is 00:22:36 a big school wouldn't go play at a smaller school. I know. But they're in the same conference. I know. You got to remember that.
Starting point is 00:22:43 You're right. You forget sometimes. It's like Cal State Fullerton playing Oregon and you're like, they're playing a Cal State Fullerton? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:48 And you're like, but they don't think so. Is anyone going? Kevin, you going? No. I didn't even know until about yesterday. I'm going to the Texas
Starting point is 00:22:56 game when it's here. That's also, it also feels weird. That is. Oh, that's here too? Yeah. Oh, that's cool. All right, sorry, bones.
Starting point is 00:23:01 What were we talking about? We're trying to put a parlay together here. Alabama minus 23 at Vanderbilt. Ole Miss minus 9 at South Carolina. You with me? No. What was that second one? Oh, my God, I just said it.
Starting point is 00:23:18 Say, one more time. Why are you yelling? Oh, sorry, I was looking for Bama. So you have Alabama minus 23 at Vanderbilt. Okay. Ole Miss minus nine at South Carolina. And then Missouri plus two and a half at Texas A&M. Hilarious there.
Starting point is 00:23:33 getting two points. Right? I'm telling you, take Zanehain anything good. I know. So you have, and I'm going to read all this, Eddie,
Starting point is 00:23:43 but do you have them all? Yeah, and you're taking Missouri plus two and a half? Yeah. And then the old miss was what now? Oh my God. Minus nine.
Starting point is 00:23:49 Just look over at Kevin and he'll get you. I got to get my reading glasses. Oh, yeah. If you want to take the 25 whistles parlay, you can check out Draft King's Sportsbook. New users use the code Bobby Sports when you download the app.

Starting point is 00:26:23 I'm John Green. You may know me as the author of The Fault and Our Stars, and now I guess also as the co-host of the Away End, a brand new world soccer podcast. I'm Daniel Alarcon, a writer and journalist, and John and I have known each other since we were kids. My first World Cup was Mexico 86. I was nine years old.
Starting point is 00:26:40 I watched every game and I fell in love. On our new podcast, The Away End, we'll share with you the magic of international football, all leading up to the 2026 World Cup. For us, soccer, football, is a story we've shared for over 30 years since Daniel was the star player on our high school soccer team. Very debatable. And I was their most loyal and sometimes only fan. I love this game.
Starting point is 00:27:04 I love its history, it's hope, its heartbreak, and above all, it's beauty. Together, we'll find out why, of all the unimportant things, football, soccer, is the most important. Listen to the away end with Daniel Auer Kohn and John Green on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. We're about to talk to Calvin Johnson, who is probably the most dominant receiver in NFL history, like physically dominant. Pretty cool that we have them on. A couple things. I've hurt my foot, and he has a CBD company that, that they, that, that, that, that, you know, They're working with athletes on injuries.
Starting point is 00:27:42 You're going to bring that up? I'm going to bring it up to start it. Usually I'll bring on whatever the plug is at the end, but I'm going to start with that. So he doesn't have an athlete, you know? Of course. He'd be like, no, this guy's athlete. So with Calvin Johnson, NFL record for most receiving yards in a season,
Starting point is 00:27:56 1,964 yards. NFL record for most consecutive 100-yard receiving games, eight in a row. NFL Hall of Fame 2021. College Hall of Fame, 2018. Second overall pick in the 2007 NFL draft behind. Were you here? Yeah, but.
Starting point is 00:28:11 I don't remember who it was. Jamarcus Russell. Jamarcus Russell. Yeah. Play college at Georgia Tech. Dang. Played with the Lions. Nine years.
Starting point is 00:28:19 Yeah. I think it was nine years. He believed he's already been almost 10 years since he's been out. Yeah, that's crazy. And also, full transparency, we literally just finished the interview. Oh, man. Like, right when we're recording this, he still looks young. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:31 He does. Like when you said that, it's like, yeah, and he still looks like he could still go. Yeah. Three-time, first-team all pro, six-time pro-baller. I could keep going. He has, like, pages and pages and pages. of just stats. He also made a 4-340 at 6-4.
Starting point is 00:28:46 Like 6-4 and thick. Dang. Like he was big, but he was like the perfect possession receiver but could also fly and not be a possession receiver. Yeah. Crazy. He's a freak.
Starting point is 00:28:57 He's a freak. In the best of ways. We're super excited. And here is Calvin Johnson. Hey, Calvin. Thanks for the time, man. No problem. How you doing?
Starting point is 00:29:04 Hey, good. I have a question for you. I was reading about your company primitive and I have like this, and we're on, by the way. So I'm going to ask your medical advice as we're on here. Like I still train why, I don't know, zombie apocalypse or something. But I have like this tendonitis issue in my foot up through kind of the left side of my shin.
Starting point is 00:29:27 So what is primitive? And can I put it on my leg and can't, and is it possible that this helps like injuries? Yeah, yeah. So permanent performance is our CBD company and we use multiple cannab noise, especially in our top. So for that superficial, you know, irritation, pain, you know, inflammation, yes, it'll be great for that. You know, it features CBD, CBG, CBG, CBN, and what I say, CBC, or CBC one or two. But those cannabinoids come together and the entourage effect, attack, and fight inflammation. So that's the key source of our pain.
Starting point is 00:30:00 But I would say that if it's going from your, you say your foot all the way up your leg a little bit to your shins. Yeah, I mean, it's foot up. I thought it was an ankle injury at first, but I went to the doctor and had an x-ray and stuff. And he's like, no, your structure's all good. It's probably like some tendonitis, like, in that little area right there. And he had recommended stuff. Yeah, yeah, definitely, definitely throw that thing on there.
Starting point is 00:30:22 If we don't have it, I'll have the team saying you some. But it's great for that. And I'll say on top of that, man, massage therapy, we try to make sure all those muscles are aligned where they're supposed to be with help out too. I get that. I get, I also do, like, the dry needling. When you were playing, how much did you invest in your body when you were playing then? and like how much do you wish you would have known then considering what you know now?
Starting point is 00:30:44 Man, shoot, I do the house at myself, man. I had a, I probably invested at least a couple hundred grand in just things from like hyperbarred chambers to this like pulse electromagnetic, electromagnetic therapy machine to sanas to just all kind of little like a little machine, little hammer machines or whatnot. Got all those. I got my own Tins unit, you know, they put a patch on you and you feel like the needle, kind of like the needling.
Starting point is 00:31:15 Yeah. I bought everything. And then I spent countless dollars on my massage therapy. Like I said, I truly believe in that I still use the same lady I used when I played in Tracy today. But, I mean, and then dry needling to your point, chiropractic. So, I mean, who knows, countless dollars spent?
Starting point is 00:31:34 But, I mean, this is your business. This is here, this body is your business when you're playing professional sports. So it will behoove you to do everything you can to keep that business running. How do people get primitive? If they're listening, how do they get primitive? Yeah, permanent performance is available online. You go to primitive performance.com. We have a rehydration solution, which features CBD.
Starting point is 00:31:53 Like I said, we're just trying to attack inflammation both internally with our ORS and then superficially with our topibles. Our topical is our big seller. You try it, you love it. It's great for arthritis. this, which great for the professional athlete. And to that, to the professional athlete, we made it with a professional athlete in mind. Because to your point earlier, you know, we had some of these things today, you know,
Starting point is 00:32:13 maybe that's one of the things I really wish I would have had, you know, was our top. Just to beat down inflammation, whether it's on my ankles or my knees, it's something that I can constantly use. And I used it today. So just being able to have a product like that when I played, would it make any play longer? Who knows? You know, but it's definitely something that not only professional athletes, but professional athletes are using it because we went and got our NSF for sports. certification, which allows athletes to use it so they don't get popped for PEDs.
Starting point is 00:32:38 So that's crucial for us to be able to achieve our goals and have professionals using it. So we're looking forward to, you know, some AP stories coming out about some professional athletes using it. So that's really been the dream of ours. You think you could, I don't know, get in three catches a game now, right now? I mean, I'll be like, I'll blow a tire out. First time I'm running full speed and I try to change direction. I'm not going back the other way.
Starting point is 00:33:03 I'm going to keep on going that way. How hard are you training now just in general life? I'm not really training hard. I walk or run every day. I get my three miles in at least. And I work out twice a week. I push a little weight twice a week. Are you still in Detroit?
Starting point is 00:33:17 Yep. Still living in Michigan. And I met my wife here, started business here. So probably going to be for a little while. And how do you feel about the lion's success right now? Love it. I love it because it's coming from an authentic place. you know you got Brad I mean it starts at the top of Sheet with always say that
Starting point is 00:33:37 but you got Brad Holmes you got Dan doing his thing you know being a just a I mean just sure just being a player coach you know you got a player head coach and then you got a staff full of player coaches like guys are going to your athletes are going to be more inclined to pick up any tidbits that those coaches are dropping off because they've been there and done the things that that you want to do I was fortunate enough to have a player coach you know when I played in Sean Jefferson. So I already know how that goes. I know the guys are they're locked in.
Starting point is 00:34:06 You know, they're tuned in to what's being said. And it's a beautiful thing because you see the results on the field. I want to talk for a second about the Lions game last week. And not so much that specific game, but golf, he didn't have an incompletion the whole game. And, you know, in a lot of these quarterbacks now, it's a lot of checkdowns, a lot of cover-to, you know, two high safeties, keeping the big play from happening. Was that not happening a lot while you were playing? Because they're acting like now it's such an epidemic. It's all two safeties, running cover two, trying to shut down all the big plays.
Starting point is 00:34:34 Was that not happening as much, or did you just bully it? That was happening. I mean, that's the de-coordinator's job is to stop that big-play receiver, that big-play threat from going off. So they're definitely going to have a shell. If not, they have a shell, they're going to have that safety and another, maybe one or two dbs triangulating that receiver that they want to take out the game. So, yeah, that stuff's been happening. You know, we just bust the top off with that thing.
Starting point is 00:34:58 Was there ever a time they're running like cover zero against you? And there was no safety, right? There's nobody back. And you're like, oh, my God, this is for sure. You just get me the ball. It's over. That was really rare. If they're going to run cover zero,
Starting point is 00:35:09 that happened rarely, more so maybe on a goal line situation or just in a situation where we just didn't expect it. Maybe they came with an all-out. But I'm sure there was times that it happened. Did you have like a hand sign? Like, you look over at Stafford, but just don't me the freaking ball.
Starting point is 00:35:24 Like, how was that? Oh, yeah. There's multiple hand signs. It's just depending on what route he wanted me to run. If you wanted me to just run a quick fade, you might just throw a finger down. We had all the signals from all the, every route had a signal. Talk about going to Georgia Tech. What was your freshman year like?
Starting point is 00:35:40 And did you show up physically where you could compete immediately? Yeah, man. When I got to Georgia Tech, you know what I mean? Tough at school, man. Tough as nails. If you don't have your academic hat on, you're going to get failed out of it. But definitely, they did Coach Chang Galey threw me in the fire day one. you know, I was making plays day one
Starting point is 00:36:00 and then that's why I ended up playing as a freshman my whole year. So I was fortunate to have Chan Gaylee throw me in a fire like he did. You know, I didn't believe him. I think he told me that, you know, come me there, that he's going to put me in there right away. But I didn't believe it.
Starting point is 00:36:12 I'm a freshman. You come in, you got out, like, you know, you got, you know, you got sophomore, junior, singers that have experienced. And he just threw me in the fire. And, you know, I just put the blinders on and went to work. Did you fill your freshman year, your three, four, five games into it?
Starting point is 00:36:26 Like, you're like, oh, I'm, I'm already. competing or a metal level where I can outperform these 19, 20, 21 year old kids or did it take you a little bit? Man, it's my second game.
Starting point is 00:36:36 My second game, we went down to Clemson, went down in Dead Valley and night game talking about places rocking and we went there and I caught a game when in touchdown
Starting point is 00:36:45 and it was overtime. Maybe I don't remember if it was overtime or not. We caught a game went in touchdown there. Oh, no, it was 11 seconds left on the clock when I caught that thing.
Starting point is 00:36:53 And, man, that was the Welcome to America moment for me. What about high school? How man amongst boys were you in high school? Were you just dominating everyone? In high school, I really didn't really get my footing until my 11th grade year.
Starting point is 00:37:07 I was playing JV a little bit. I was playing JV and varsity in my sophomore year. They were trying to get me into, you know, just give me the feel of it. You know, I was dropping balls left and right. They call me butterfingers, you know, all that kind of crazyness. And, you know, I just kind of put the work in after that junior year
Starting point is 00:37:23 because I was like, man, I can't be out here dropping balls. And so then I had a great, I had the stellar senior season and had offers from everywhere. Were you also playing punt return, like packages with quarterback? Were you such an athlete that were putting you everywhere to just have the ball on your hand? I played mostly receiver. I ran some reverses and whatnot, but I was strictly a receiver. I was 6'4 and just all bones.
Starting point is 00:37:47 Oh, so you were a skinny 6-4? I was like 185 in high school. Yeah, that's a pretty... And then I left college at 240. Did that weight all come on because of like training, eating, or was it just, like, you just put it on naturally, genetically through those years? It was, it was a natural thing over every, every year, probably put on another 10 pounds. But it was, I mean, I worked out like a madman. We ate good.
Starting point is 00:38:13 And it was just, I still had like, you know, less than 6% or less body fat. So it was all muscle. And then I remember when I got to the league, they wanted me to play at like 232 to 235. And I'm like, dude, like, you do things I had to. do to get down to wait on Friday or Saturday, it was ridiculous. I'll be taking castoril and I'll be running to the toilet at two in the morning just clear my system. And then after weighing in, I have to just pump everything back into me.
Starting point is 00:38:39 Calvin, what do your friends call you? Man, it just all depends who it is. Family, they call me C. You know, anybody else that might call me Cal, Calvin. And then if you don't really know me, they might be calling me Megatron on the streets. All right. So, Cal, so what are you thinking? think about the the current
Starting point is 00:38:57 pass interference rules. What would you change about that? And not only the past interference rules, just touching folks after five yards, man. I mean, it's just it's so subjective, you know, to whoever's calling the, calling them,
Starting point is 00:39:13 throwing the flag, you know, almost. You see, it's just some inconsistency there on what might be a, um, a PI or what might be a, uh, a hold or whatnot. So I just wish I had the rules when I was playing, because I was dragging, I was dragging, I was dragging people. down the field all day. I would have been, I would have had a lot more yards without the case.
Starting point is 00:39:30 Do you wish that the refs would take a look at some of these pass interference calls? I wish there was, I wish they could, I wish they could be challenged. There are cases. I'm like, man, that was not a PI or whatnot. But for the most part, you know, they get it right for the most part. I can't say that. What's your favorite NFL catch of your career that you think back like that's the one if they were only going to show one clip of me? This would be it. Damn, that's tough, man. I mean, my favorite, just because of where we were in the game, we didn't win the game, we were playing Cincinnati Bengals,
Starting point is 00:40:03 and Matthew was about to get sacked by my former teammate Mike Johnson in college. He was on his toes, and he launched that thing 50, 60 yards, and I went up on, it was, Pac-Man was right there around at Perfect was right there. Reggie Nelson was right there. I can't pronounce the other safety thing that was on my back, but I had three, four guys in the immediate vicinity went up on and brought that thing down. I think it ended up tying the game
Starting point is 00:40:28 late third or fourth quarter, so that was a big moment. We didn't end up winning the game, but that was a hell of a catch I thought. Can you ever make one of those catches where you didn't realize you caught it? You're like, oh my God, I can't believe I caught that ball. Like you came down, there's arms and legs everywhere,
Starting point is 00:40:39 and you're like, I cannot believe I actually have this ball. No, those happen all the time. You know, the reason that those happen is because you're so used to doing some of those things in practice that it becomes instinctual. So you're like, damn. Like, I don't know. You remember how that happened to your point.
Starting point is 00:40:55 What about the one-hand catch? Because everybody's doing it now. Did you train doing one-hand catches? Because I feel like they weren't as prevalent back when we were a little younger. Yeah, no. I never trained on one-handed catches. Like, you see guys before the game. I was always two-handed.
Starting point is 00:41:08 I only caught a ball in one-hand out of necessity. I feel like I only caught, like three maybe one-hand passes in my career. And my thing was like, and the thing I was always coached. You know, if you can get two hands on it, you get two hands on it. Because one thing that frustrates me, and I see it every year. See these guys that come out here and try to catch one hand. Either they have alligator arms or they just don't make the play.
Starting point is 00:41:29 And I'm just sitting here like, how easy it would have been to get that other hand out there? And that's one thing that it irks the hell out of you. Hey, what's turf, T-U-R-F? I know it launched earlier this year. And I'd seen that it was inspired by TechMobile, which I played a lot when I was a kid. So what is turf? Yeah, Turf is so primitive is our main brand. Turf is more more economical brand, you know.
Starting point is 00:41:51 So we said at the beginning we're creating this thing. We want to be the great products that everybody can enjoy. So Turf is our economical brand of flour and gummies. So it's like the junior varsity version. Is that fair? There you go. I need it like broken. I need it like simplified.
Starting point is 00:42:06 Yeah, it's very, very simple for me. No, I'm going to get some of this primitive. And I can order it, right? Like I can order it. It'll be sent to me here. If you're in Michigan, you can. Oh, I'm not. That's, you know, cannabis.
Starting point is 00:42:16 You can, there's no interstate, you know, commerce. but anything on the CBD site, permanent performance.com, yeah, you can get that. Okay, that's what I got to get then. Okay. Because I ain't trying to go to jail. You know, I want them tracking.
Starting point is 00:42:30 I want them tracking. Hey, so with the NFL adding games, and you, you know, holding the record for yards, I don't know, do you feel like they're adding a game? It gives people more of an opportunity to break a record that probably would have never been broken? 100%. It's going to get, I mean, at some point it's going to happen.
Starting point is 00:42:44 You know, you guys got close for a couple of years. And then, I mean, I feel like every year they might be getting you closer. maybe not last year, but every year they get closer and closer. All you need is a good healthy quarterback and a good healthy receiver for 17 games now. And it's definitely possibly sought Tariq and see how his quarterback went down. You know, he had a great start to the season. But that severely impacts your ability if you don't have stability at that quarterback position to attain that.
Starting point is 00:43:10 Final three questions. How important, and we're seeing this with a couple of teams that I can go to the Dallas Cowboys. That's my buddy Eddie's favorite team. Love them. They don't really, in my opinion, they don't really have. have a number two. I mean, Brandon Cooks is a good receiver, but I feel like they're not getting the output out of them that they expected. So it's hard for the, and I'll use you as an example, if you don't have a solid number two, does it make your life so much harder as a number one?
Starting point is 00:43:34 No, 100%. Let me start hearing, like, I don't know, why the hell Dallas is American's team. They ain't won in like 20, 30 years. That probably should be like a Patriots right now or something. I don't know. They don't even deserve it right now. Anyway, I'm off track. But no, as far as that number two receiver, man, you got to have it. I remember when I got Golden Tate here, Nate Burroughsson as well, you know, they're able to, you know, to make some plays and, you know, at least, you know, make the defense think about them. You know, I'm not saying that Brandon Cooks can't do that,
Starting point is 00:44:02 but you still, I think you need another guy with some stature that can go across the, that can do everything. You know, you can't just have, put them in one place and be like, okay, I will move CJ around and just leave you in one place. You got to move them both around. You got to keep the defense guessing. And not to say that Brandon Cooks can't do it, but it wouldn't hurt to have somebody there. Like, I mean, can you imagine if they still had Amari Cooper and NCD?
Starting point is 00:44:24 I know obviously the numbers don't make sense as far as what they got to pay the guys. But, yeah, you kind of need that dual presence. You know, I was never fortunate to have like a twin tower situation. You know, I mean, that would have been awesome. You know, I remember growing up watching Clemson back in the day, and they always had two big receivers. And they used to kill guys back in the day. But, no, man, that's that was a dream.
Starting point is 00:44:46 dream of mind, but just getting another guy over there that can make plays and make the, and it has the respect of defense's has the attention to all defenses. You got to have that if you want to let one, I mean, if you want to have let the other receiver get off. Kansas City has, they have Xavier Worthy
Starting point is 00:45:01 who's a rookie. And, right, he's a downhill guy. At least that's what he was at Texas, and that's a bit what he is now. But they've lost everybody. Like, what is Kansas City to do with out a real number one or number two? like what would be your advice to them?
Starting point is 00:45:18 Yeah, I heard of Mara Cooper out there. Yeah, or Devon. I know Marr's over there. Or Devonthe, like the Raiders just said they would trade Devante Adams, but, like, that costs money. That costs money, 100%. You still got these guys on your staff that you're going to have there for years of a rich rice hell of a receiver,
Starting point is 00:45:33 but yeah, he just went down, you know, so it's tough, man. It's going to be a heck of a feat. And, I mean, we already know Patrick Mahomes is great, but, man, if he could get them even close to sniffing a Super Bowl, I mean, damn, like the kid is. The kid is it. Cal, when you stopped playing, what was the one thing that you were able to do
Starting point is 00:45:51 because, you know, was it like stay up late on Saturday nights, you know, because, like, what was the one thing that you could finally do because you're not playing anymore? You know, when I was playing, and I worked my tail off while I was playing, so I always look forward to the time that I was going to be able to just go sit on my couch and just chill out and do nothing, don't have the clicker in my hand, you know.
Starting point is 00:46:11 But that didn't last for two weeks, you know, and after I retired, because we're so used to being on the couch, to go from being from high school on up you know consistently have a schedule going from one thing to the next so that kind of just like you know just having that built in for so long it's kind of hard to get away from that so i instantly you know just like what's next you know it's time to put my business hat on so i went into doing some franchising didn't really love it being really it wasn't really passionate about it so sold that off and then no continue doing real estate real estate until
Starting point is 00:46:42 the cannabis industry came online in michigan and just by chance you know we're buying properties and you know Boston properties in the quote-unquote green zones and we had to make a decision at that point whether we want you want to be a tenant and collect the passive check or start a business and we chose the latter started a business now we've been in this thing like shoot seven maybe going here about at least seven years and got a team of at least 60 people you know that we're that we're that we lead if Calvin Johnson was selling me real estate I'll buy a house even if I didn't need it for sure I'd be like oh you're a real estate guy I'll take two cow were you showing houses Like, this is a living room.
Starting point is 00:47:17 I actually, you know, I was working on getting my real estate license, and then I stopped doing that when a cannabis industry came online. So we were just buying properties and just, you know, being landlords. Got it. All right. Final two things. After you retired, did you ever have a moment where you're like, I think I may want to give it a shot again? I mean, you think about it.
Starting point is 00:47:34 And then what makes me second guess that even was like, okay, so I do my camps every year in Buffalo, Atlanta, at Detroit. And, you know, I mean, I didn't do my camps, just showing the kids a couple drills. and I'll get home that night. And after a game, I'm like, I can't lift my feet. I'm dragging my feet across the floor just because everything's swollen. And I'm just like, damn, I'm just doing
Starting point is 00:47:54 campus showing some drills to these kids and I can't even move. So I knew that. It didn't take long. After I retired, I mean, I knew I was done just because of where I was, where my body was, like trying to put in the same level of effort and work in the all season, all the things that I did
Starting point is 00:48:10 to get ready. It just wasn't, it was hurting so much that it took all to zapped all the fun out of what we're actually trying to do and accomplish. A lot of trophies, a lot of balls behind you. Final thing I'll ask you is, like, what's your favorite piece of memorabilia behind you, or what's one that you see now that you can tell us a story about? I don't know. I mean, I got one back there with my, I had a touchdown with my son's birthday.
Starting point is 00:48:41 But, I mean, I'll tell you one thing, man. I only have a ball for this, but I should. We played that snow game in Philly that year. Like before the game, it was sunny and you come out, like, when you go in, we go in, you go in, you put your jersey and foot, you know, you put your past stuff, and you come back out. There's snow on the ground. Go back in, come back out for the game.
Starting point is 00:49:00 It's like six inches of snow on the ground. But the significance of this game was it wasn't anything that happened in the game. It was my parents. They came to the game. And so after the game, my mom was going to the airport, and she slipped and fell. And from that, you know, they wouldn't have a chance. She got checked up and she found out she had pancreatic cancer. And she's still here with us today only because, you know, she fell at that game.
Starting point is 00:49:19 So she wasn't at that game. We would never know. She wouldn't be here with us today. So, you know, that's one of the most, you know, just me. I think that, you know, timing is everything. You know, God puts people, you know, puts you in opportunities in your life. But you have to be ready. You have to work a tail off to be ready to be to step through that door when those challenges come.
Starting point is 00:49:40 And I was just fortunate to be playing in the NFL at the time. so that, you know, this situation did happen. And, like I say, she's still here with us today. And she was actually celebrated on Sunday as a pancreatic cancer survivor. So that was, or Monday. So that was pretty awesome. Wow. Great story.
Starting point is 00:49:54 Thanks for sharing that. Congratulations. And so check out primitive. So what's the website? Where can people go to get this? And John and I have known each other since we were kids. My first World Cup was Mexico 86. I was nine years old. I watched every
Starting point is 00:54:04 game and I fell in love. I love its history, its hope, it's heartbreak, and above all, it's beauty.
Starting point is 00:54:32 Together, we'll find out why, of all the unimportant things, football, soccer, is the most important. Listen to the away end with Daniel Auerkone and John Green on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Let's get over to the Tittle Tattle. Your Razorbacks play Tennessee this weekend. Where do you rank the VALs on your top five most hated teams? Power rankings for the most hated. At number five, North Korea. That makes sense?
Starting point is 00:55:10 I'm listening to all. Absolutely. These are the groups I hate the most. Bad country. The North Korea regime. I'm sure the people are fine, but like the North Korea. at five. Cobra Kai at four.
Starting point is 00:55:19 Oh. Are you talking like 80s Cobur Kai or the new Cobur Kai? Both. Well, when they're bad. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:55:24 yeah, yeah. Like in the, in the movies, but also for parts of the Netflix series that I watch, I know, it's shifted.
Starting point is 00:55:31 Because, I don't know, good people turn bad back to it. Right. But Cobra Kai at number four. At number three in my most hated teams list, Kentucky basketball.
Starting point is 00:55:39 I know we're talking football about, I put Kentucky basketball at number three. Okay. Again, they can hug a root, kick rocks, Hug a root. I've never heard that.
Starting point is 00:55:48 And lick on these nuts. Whoa. Those are the three things that Kentucky basketball as a group can do. Do I like the people individually? Absolutely. As a group, difficult. So hug on these. That's why I say to Kentucky basketball.
Starting point is 00:56:05 Number two. Tennessee. Oh, number two. More than North Korea and Cobra Chi. But again, as a group, right? Because you like Kevin. I don't know. Kind of individually too.
Starting point is 00:56:17 But okay. No, I've all fan friends, but as a group, I think it's been a couple of things with Tennessee. One, they were our constant whenever SEC, SCC East, SZ West, that's the whole thing. And you played one constant across. So we were West and our one we played every year was Tennessee. South Carolina was our constant as well. We ended up dropping Tennessee after a while. But because we played Tennessee so often, you start to form a rivalry.
Starting point is 00:56:42 Not only that, 1998 were undefeited. We fumbled the ball on a drive where we just had to take the ball down. We're playing for national championship if we do that. They beat us. They didn't cheat and do anything except piss us off and play Rocky Top after we fumbled the ball. They just made a documentary about the 1999 season. It's called like the reemergence. And we beat them and kept them out of the national championship game in 99.
Starting point is 00:57:02 So there are games that actually made that a bit of a rivalry. Tennessee fell off for a long time. And we were kind of good after that because the part of Houston-Nut and the Bobby Petrino era, we were averaging nine wins a season for 10. years, which is good because we had some 10, 11 game win seasons. So Tennessee is at number two. Texas is number one. For sure. For sure. Yeah. It's with up. Yeah. It's just orange, man. I'm surprised Syracuse to make the list for no reason. They're just orange. So I don't, but no. And also proximity, right? Big deal too. Texas, Southwest Conference, we're, it's a bit before
Starting point is 00:57:38 me, but everybody in the generation above me, when you're in Arkansas, you are just told you must hate Texas. They're bigger. They have more money. They have more of a history. And we're a little brother. So you're supposed to hate your big brother. The Texas rivalry is humongous from us to them. From them to us, not so much.
Starting point is 00:57:56 That's a little insulting, by the way. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But it is what it is. Because they're not even thinking about you. Not really. We beat them the last time we played and we stormed the field. They ended up going like three and nine that year. Didn't matter.
Starting point is 00:58:07 At the time we thought they might be good, we stormed the field and it was awesome. Is that like a West Coast version of, because I didn't even know that until I moved out here? Biggie Tupac, correct. It's exactly what it is. Exactly what I was saying. Oh, my bad. My bad.
Starting point is 00:58:18 Kobe, no. I was thinking UCLA and USC. UCLA, a little brother. I think they both kind of hate each other, though. Texas really doesn't hate us because we're just like a little gnat on them. Yeah. We've been problematic to them over the years at times. Yeah, Texas doesn't hate us because we're just a little goofballs.
Starting point is 00:58:37 That's true. Having a school in your own city, though, that's got to be tough. USC and UCLA? Like, they're both L.A. Yeah, L.A. is so big, though. Yeah, and USC runs it. Yeah. But LA's so big that they have multiple sports teams, two schools.
Starting point is 00:58:53 They got a couple gas stations. You have a few. Nine subways. Nine subways. So that would be my list of my hate. Sorry, go ahead. All right, although they are nine-point favorites, do you think Ole Miss is in trouble this weekend at South Carolina?
Starting point is 00:59:05 I don't. I think I would hate to play Ole Miss after they lost that game. Because they're going to be pissed. Yeah, I'm a big emotion guy. Yeah. Oh, yeah. That makes sense. They're really good.
Starting point is 00:59:17 I'm sure they were discounting Kentucky. You start to believe in what everybody tells you are. Even if you don't mean to, even if you're saying you're not, it's kind of hard. So I think they thought they'd go on and just take care of Kentucky, and they did not. I think now a bit of a reality check because they lose another one, there's a shot they will not be in the college football playoff. So now it even matters more. They're not even allowed to lose another game.
Starting point is 00:59:41 That's the thing, too, about these teams. even if they're not overlooking who's eating cereal? Reed's eating Kellogg's here. Yeah. I'll put it down, man. Okay, thank you, Reed. I think that's a new element of it too
Starting point is 00:59:53 is where everybody doesn't have to be extremely 100% dialed and focused on losing every game because you can't lose a game. So you're going to see these big schools. I mean, look at who was it, the week, Missouri Vanderbilt. Yeah. Like they almost lost that game.
Starting point is 01:00:06 But I think teams now, they don't have to feel like, oh, God, we can't ever lose one. I think there's kind of a little room for, for error. But I think they're going to run it. Really? I think it do. South Carolina's 3 and 1.
Starting point is 01:00:19 They're good. Yeah, and LSU should have lost to South Carolina. At South Carolina, that's a tough place. Yeah, I agree. I just think Ole Miss,
Starting point is 01:00:25 I wouldn't want to come off that loss. Yeah. If they were coming off a win, I think I would feel different about it, but I think coming off that loss is, they're going to be pretty motivated to not let that happen again. Is Rocket Sanders?
Starting point is 01:00:36 Running back in South Carolina now? Hey, yeah, okay. That I was thinking of it. I thought I heard him. I was watching the LSU game and I was like, What? He's over there? I did not know that. Rahim Rocket Sanders. Yeah, good dude.
Starting point is 01:00:45 Did some, a lot of NIL with him. That's where we met him. Yeah. All right, what else? All right, NFL here. With the reports of the Raiders willing to trade Devante Adams, which team do you think should go after him? Ah, you know. I know you want me to say Cowboys.
Starting point is 01:00:57 I don't know. Here's the... I didn't think you would say Cowboys. Here's the interesting thing about this trade and the Devante Adams contract. They basically have to pay him $13 million. That's it. Forever.
Starting point is 01:01:10 Now he's making, you know, 30, 30, whatever those numbers are, the next two years, those are not guaranteed years in the contract. So, and, and we're already four, four games in. Those game checks have already been paid for this year. So with the money left for this season, it's basically like $13 million, $13 to 14. I'm going to be a little fuzzy on the numbers because I don't have anything in front of me here that says that. They don't, those next two years are not guaranteed. So a team that gets him, and he does not have no trade clause from what I see and know.
Starting point is 01:01:41 So let's say they trade them to Let's just pick a team the Vikings They're not going to turn him the Vikings But he goes to the Vikings They pay him 13 million bucks And they're like Cool we rented you for a year Now you're a free agent
Starting point is 01:01:52 Do your deal They could do that He's 32 I believe So that's not old old And receiver world It's like the 32 year old running back So
Starting point is 01:02:02 It's not going to be The massive financial commitment That a lot of folks think it may be If you just look at his contract because those two years are not guaranteed. You're not on the hook for $65, $78 million. You're on the hook for $13 million. It's pretty dang good for him.
Starting point is 01:02:20 31. Yeah. So it would be fun if you went to the Chiefs. I don't know. I mean, they need them. No. Why do you say? Because I like Devonte Adams,
Starting point is 01:02:31 and I hate players that I like go to teams that I don't like. They have nobody. That's selfish. Why don't the Raiders trade them to the Chiefs as like a division rival thing? The Raiders will do whatever they can do to get picks. Who are they rivaling? The Raiders aren't rivals anybody. Raiders rivals my butt.
Starting point is 01:02:46 Vegas. They suck. Vegas didn't even like them. The Raiders are rivals to Reno. The Reno XFL team. Argonauter. Yes. So, and that is always a concern, right?
Starting point is 01:02:59 And we saw an interdivision trade earlier this year that was kind of rare. I forget. Maybe it was the Eagles. Oh, yeah. Eagles, Washington. Yeah. Yeah, so rare, but do happen. And I think the Raiders just need something
Starting point is 01:03:13 because he's not going to play again. And he's, if you don't get something, you're going to get nothing. And I don't think they're in a place where even if they were to trade them to a division rival, whatever they get is really not going to affect any time when he's playing. Because what's he got, two, three years left of really being...
Starting point is 01:03:31 Quality ball. Yeah. Casey just wants him on the Jets. That's why I'm saying. I'm getting there. I'm getting in there. So I think the Chiefs will be interesting. The Chiefs can't mess with anything on their defense because their defense is really good.
Starting point is 01:03:42 And it gets overshadowed a lot because they have Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelsey and they've won Super Bowls. But their defense is really good. But they're going to have to rely on their defense to kind of. And they have to get them through some of these games. Won a last year. So Chiefs would be fun. They need a wide receiver. They're going to have to get one somewhere.
Starting point is 01:03:59 I don't know where they're going to get it. Like an Adam Thienland would be interesting for the Chiefs though, too, because they need. Is he hurt? He's hurt. He's hurt. Yeah, but he's not dead. He's not a torn ACL. But he's not young either.
Starting point is 01:04:08 I think they've, my, I don't, I think he's coming back though. Yeah, I think he just pulled the hand. He didn't die. Okay. He's not. So, or somebody like that, like a middle of the field possession receiver. Again, they've got speed on the outside. They need somebody who can just catch the ball.
Starting point is 01:04:22 I mean, Rashid was doing a lot of that. A lot of the short routes, middle of the field. So they just need somebody to run routes. Chiefs would be interesting. Cowboys would be awesome. That'd be great. We need them. And a lot of it's like, oh, they don't have any money.
Starting point is 01:04:36 Again, but they're not committed to $70 million. with them. They're committed to 13. Yeah, that changes everything. It does, but how eager and motivated is he going to be to play when he doesn't have another year? They don't guarantee another year or so on the contract unless he just wants to go play for a team that has a shot to win this year.
Starting point is 01:04:55 Nobody wants to go play their final year of their contract and play hard and get injured and be old. And all those are factors there. If you're 25 and you're dominant, if you're Brandon Ayuk, 26, 27, and your deal's coming up, it's last year your deal and you get hurt. That's okay, because even if you take a year off, which doesn't happen, you're still young.
Starting point is 01:05:17 Yeah. And what they can do? Hey, modern medicine, modern medicine is pretty good. We've heard about it. Yeah. So it's different with him, though. Like, I don't know that he's going to want to go and not make business decisions at 32 without at least another year on his contract. So Cowboys would be fun.
Starting point is 01:05:34 Brandy Cooks has gone. What happened to him? Yeah, I know. You got like an infection or something? like that. I don't know. I just saw he was out. I was like, wait, what?
Starting point is 01:05:42 Yeah. It was like, I think he got surgery and then the surgical area got infected. Do you have him in fantasy or something? No, I just was, I just saw Brandon Cook's out, and I was like, I don't remember an injury. And he played fine on last Thursday. So they're number two, which even Calvin Johnson was talking about, not really a number two. They need somebody. He wasn't even, now he's hurt.
Starting point is 01:06:04 I know. Who is it? Who is it now? It's bad. Tolbert. Tolbert. We got Tolbert. Colbert needs to be a fullback.
Starting point is 01:06:10 And then the little guy, Turpin. I mean, that's all we got. Turpin and Tolbert. He was a good fullback. Mike Tolbert? Yes. He was good. Tolbert, when I see him catch a ball, I'm like, he's in playing the wrong position.
Starting point is 01:06:20 And Mike Tolbert had a little belly. Remember that? He was a little bowling ball. I don't know this guy's name. The Steelers. The Steelers are interesting. Huh. I didn't even hear that one.
Starting point is 01:06:29 That's a good one. He's just not going to get the ball a lot. They're not going to blow your doors off offensively. You're not going to want to go from Aden O'Connell to Houston Fields. Yeah. Yeah, Fields. I don't even know if it's an – I probably would want to go from Vegas to anywhere, though, that organization. But I don't know that the Steelers is where I would want to go because they're not going to really run an offense that highlights you,
Starting point is 01:06:53 especially if they're not going to pay you two more years. Maybe you go to the Steelers if they guarantee the next two years because then you know you're going to get that $70 million. But if they don't, I would not want to go play in Pittsburgh because they're basing a lot of their success off their defense as well. When you demand a trade, do you have a choice? Like, are you telling them like, that's where I want to go? No, but yes, but no. NBA, players have a little more power. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:07:15 But you still can't force it. We saw, like, Lillard try that. Yeah. And he wanted to go to Miami, and that didn't work. So then he goes to the city that's closest to Miami in every way, Milwaukee. Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Right down the road. Just like Miami.
Starting point is 01:07:29 So, no, but I mean, they'll probably listen. But it's like, okay, if you want to go to trade there, let's see what they'll offer us. I'm sure they're. But if you have a no, trade. clause. Everything's different, but the answer is no, they don't have to. The final one is, there's two. There is. I'll get to the big two that make the most sense, but I think even the bills make a little sense because they got no one. They could, I don't know. I mean, I don't know the receivers. Shakir's the number one. Yeah, and I think he's developing into that,
Starting point is 01:08:00 but you're right. I don't think he's a number one right now. I think he's a one and a half or a really good too. One B. Yeah. Possession you were just saying. Yeah. I think he's JV.T. Higgins. So the bills are a place that he could possibly go.
Starting point is 01:08:16 Now it gets to the big two now that make the most sense because of the relationships. Sure. The Saints. He went to Vegas to follow Carr. Like he left Green Bay, Roger's leaving Green Bay. He left to go because he want to go play Derek Carr. That's this guy. That's this guy from college.
Starting point is 01:08:32 Fresno State, baby. So I've even read the stories to say he's open to going to the Saints. And they may actually be okay. New head coach, new offense, according to the running an offense. They're throwing the ball. Like, if you followed him to the Raiders and you weren't that good, like, why do it again? Because Josh McDaniels not the coach.
Starting point is 01:08:50 Yeah. It could be an offensive philosophy. It could be a ton of. But you're seeing Carr, he's playing a lot better because he's in a, but he's in a position to actually play better. The coaches, that offense allows him to make throws that he can make. You love Carr, man. I like Carr.
Starting point is 01:09:09 I think he was a bad run, but the Raiders, they suck. They suck in every way. So why are we going just car sucks? No, everybody sucks. What's the common theme, the Raiders? Yeah, yeah. Not every player. Like Devont-Adam sucks right now, and it sucks for two years.
Starting point is 01:09:24 Does he suck? No. But everybody on the Raiders sucks because the Raiders suck. So, and then it's the Jets. Let's go, baby. Is that what you want? I mean, if it's going to get rid of Hassan Reddick and that whole thing, if we send him over. I don't know that it is.
Starting point is 01:09:41 But I mean, for the Raiders standpoint, you got Max Crosby on one side and then Asan Redick on the other side. I mean, you could build around that, you know what I mean? If you're trying to reset here with Antonio Pierce, defensive mindset. You're creating a perfect scenario for you right now. Maybe. Yeah, yeah. I mean, I'm just saying it.
Starting point is 01:09:59 He's like, here's what you got you do, right? Let me break it down for you right now. Would you be willing to give up, because they want a second round pick, plus, would you be willing to give up a second round pick for Devanti Adams for one year for the rest of this year? I think so. I mean, this year is the all in year. I mean, I don't think we're going to keep this whole thing going next year if this is an utter failure. So if it's just me, if we swing for the fences, let's just get him.
Starting point is 01:10:22 Like you said, we don't have any commitment to him. So why not? He knows Rogers. The whole thing with Garrett Wilson right now is that they're not. not on the same page. Would you trick Garrett Wilson for Devante Adams? That's tough.
Starting point is 01:10:35 That's tough. Yeah, I don't know if you could do that. You can't do that. You know, yeah. I mean, he's 24. Yeah, you can't do that. Yeah. If you're all in.
Starting point is 01:10:46 That's true. The Jets have an extra third round pick this upcoming draft that they could give as well. So there are ways to make it work. What about Garrett Wilson? And a second and a third. No, Devante Adams. and a second and a third for Garrett Wilson. I don't know if I could pull the trigger on that,
Starting point is 01:11:06 but I think we need Garrett Wilson. I don't know. I would say no. Do you guys draft a quarterback this year? We might have to. I don't know who it's going to be, but... I better hope it's not like Shadur or back, because that made you sucked.
Starting point is 01:11:22 Yeah. Well, yeah, then we're definitely getting Shadr. If we have a chance to get Shadur, yeah, then we're going to blow up everything. So I don't know. There's actually another team that I think could be potentially interesting is the Bengals. If they swap T. Higgins for Devante. Like if you're going on, because they're not going to be able to pay both receivers,
Starting point is 01:11:40 Jamar Chase and T. Higgins. So why not get rid of Higgins? Give them to the Raiders. You get Devante for the year. And then you're all in this year on winning with Burrow and Jamar Chase before you got to pay Chase. Interesting. I thought that might be. Yeah, I don't hate it.
Starting point is 01:11:56 I guess I never saw anybody talk about that that knows more than I do. so I never really considered that, but maybe you know more than all of them. Because you're right. Even Calvin Johnson talked about that. They, didn't he? What he was talking about?
Starting point is 01:12:08 What was talking about? There's so many big stars in this show. I know. Get him confused. If I'm going to pick just blindly, if they're like about $100, I'd bet the Saints. Yeah. I think they feel like they really have a shot.
Starting point is 01:12:20 Maybe not this season, but I think they'd pay him and they'd get him and then pay him. Yeah. And he wants to go play the car. And it's not the Raiders. I would probably, I would probably bet the Saints. But it's the least dysfunctional out of all the franchises that you could go to The Chiefs would be at least well yeah I guess I'm still don't think that's I don't know
Starting point is 01:12:39 The whole division thing I feel like is that's gonna hold this up functional Steelers are weird Jets are dysfunctional yeah they call for the Chiefs I'd like that you'd like that yeah Why do people hate the Chiefs like Kevin Kevin's like Kevin's a big fat hypocrite I'm gonna tell you why because he's like no the Patriots are nice they're good We say babies crossing the street. And I'm like, well, you only, people only hate them because they won a whole lot. And he's like, yeah, isn't that stupid? He's like, oh, it's the chiefs.
Starting point is 01:13:05 Okay, you're a hypocrite. There's nothing unlikeable about the chiefs rather than home. No, as people said about you, though, and the Patriots. Wait, what did Tom Brady do off the field or de Grom to off the field? Well, first of all he cheated, but it's not the point. Oh, he didn't. That's not the point. Yeah, he did that the balls were.
Starting point is 01:13:19 And, and Spygate. But listen, my point is they just won so people hated them unfairly. And you're doing that to the Chiefs. No, I just think that they don't. You don't want them with three in a row because they take away for your Patriots. Well, of course I don't want them to win, but I just don't think that they get any flak that they should. Like, they get a lot of the same calls. Travis Kelsey's throwing a lot of fits.
Starting point is 01:13:35 Doesn't get anything for it. They're getting... Now, Rashis gets the rest of twice. And then his mom's... Did you see his mom stole the... Yeah, stuff? What did we do with a team, though? Tom Brady, like, get touched on the shoulder, flag?
Starting point is 01:13:46 You're literally yelling at yourself five years ago right now. No. I don't understand it, man. Okay, I'll be the first to say, we did get the calls. And we did... But you look back, I think it was... It was like Patrick Mahomes already had more past interferences overturned or something like that than Tom Brady. You don't even expect something like that.
Starting point is 01:14:02 I'm moving on. Next question, Hater. Last question here. How great is Tom Brady? Do you think the Vikings are more likely to lose their first game or the Jags more likely to win their first game this weekend? The Vikings played the Jets in London. It's that 9 a.m. game. I like those are cool.
Starting point is 01:14:18 I rarely catch the beginning of it, but I don't care. I wake up. What do you mean? I'm like it's halfway through the first quarter. Oh, wow, I love waking up. Oh, dude. I said an alarm. I don't.
Starting point is 01:14:25 Because I want to wake up my own time, and I like to wake up like this. Oh, football. So they play the Jets in London. Sam Donald has 11 touchdowns, three interceptions. The Jags play the Colts. But it's the NFL, right? The Jigs are going to win at some point. Yeah, but he's asking about this week.
Starting point is 01:14:46 Probably this week is what I'm saying. And the Vikings are going to lose at some point. The Jags have to win, right? You know what I like about the Colts, though? Joe Flacco is it awesome. He's back. He's back. I think this could be the week where they both win.
Starting point is 01:15:02 I think the Vikings beat the Jets. But I think the Jags can beat the Colts. Sorry, dude. That's the tittle-tattle. Thank you. So I'm going to say this before we go. We're going to beep this. Oh.
Starting point is 01:15:24 Remember to beep this before we put it up? And then we can play it back on Monday. Okay? What are we beeping? I can just say what was beeped on Monday. So I'm going to beep what I'm about to say, but I want to tell Eddie and get his reaction. Oh, boy. And then I will tell everyone, I just can't tell you right now.
Starting point is 01:15:41 I've been told I can't say anything about it. But I'm going to say it on mic and get your reaction. Okay. So on. Back to words. Yes. Yes. It's happening.
Starting point is 01:15:57 So all that's beat. That's crazy, dude. We will tell you what it is. That's the coolest. thing I ever heard. Like, I'm so happy for you. Isn't that funny? That's amazing. Do you tell your wife? Of course you told your wife. No. You haven't told your wife.
Starting point is 01:16:13 Are you just going to let her find out? Are you just going to let her find out? Yeah, about... She also won't care. Dude, if... I'm telling you, I know my wife. That stuff doesn't impress her. No, but what about... She won't care. Say nothing. Say, say no more. I'm not going to say less because that means keep... But I'm going to say
Starting point is 01:16:30 no more. I'm done. We'll tell you on Monday what it is. That's awesome, dude. Pretty funny, huh? That's awesome. Big games real quick. Michigan State at number six, Oregon. Oregon's a 23-point favorite. Syracuse at number 25 UNLV.
Starting point is 01:16:43 Let's go, UNOV. Minus six and a half. Why you wear a Syracuse shirt? Because that's my alma mater, man. You went to school there? Yeah. Oh, big orange. Oh, big orange.
Starting point is 01:16:52 They're orange. Screw him. You don't like Illinois either? But I do like Baltimore. I'm rooting for them. They're out already, man. I know. They lost like 11 in a row.
Starting point is 01:17:00 I've done so. I lost money on them. I got root for Baltimore. I feel bad for Orioles fans. Is that 11? 10, I think 10. Something like that. 10 playoff games in a row.
Starting point is 01:17:11 So I guess it was 9. They kind of been in free fall like ever since the second half of the season. It sucks. I hate that for them. Penn State. It's playing UCLA, big favorite. Texas A&M's a favorite of Missouri,
Starting point is 01:17:22 which is to me a bit crazy. But they're playing in college station. Ohio State and Iowa, not really a game. Georgia, Auburn, not really a game. Ole Miss at South Carolina. It could be a game. Alabama at Vanderbilt, not a game. Tennessee at Arkansas, not a game.
Starting point is 01:17:34 It's only like 13. 13. Yeah. It's at Arkansas. This is the kind of game we win. Just so you guys know. Yeah. And we're like, oh my God, we just got injected with a little more hope.
Starting point is 01:17:45 And then we lose every game after that, including like Northwestern Louisiana's cousins, Merrimount. I hope you win. I hope we win too. It would be awesome. And I'll be looking at the TV. I just, I can't. But just because I'm angry doesn't mean I don't care. Right.
Starting point is 01:17:59 You care because, or you're angry because you do care. I can't. Like, we. We blew two games. We'd be, and I'm not the guy that we'd be this, if that. But I'm going to be. We blew. It wasn't like unlucky play.
Starting point is 01:18:14 We blew two games that we had handily. We'd be undefeated. We blew two, not lost, not a ball didn't bounce our way, because that happens a lot. We'd be undefeated. But we don't deserve to be undefeated. It just pisses me off so bad. Miami at Cal, who cares.
Starting point is 01:18:35 Just letting them go. What else? What can you do? You just let them just sit there and sulk in it. It bothered me way too much. Okay, let's run these real quick. Just give me a winner real quick. Jets at Vikings. That's in London.
Starting point is 01:18:48 I'll go first. Vikings. Jets, Jets, Jets, Jets. Oh, boy. So are you going with the Jets? I'm going to go Jets for my guy. Thank you, man. Eddie?
Starting point is 01:18:58 I mean, let's just be real Vikings. Oh, wow. Yeah, real. School. Oh, man. Panthers at Bears. Bears, Bears a four-point favorite, but who wins the game? I'm going to go, you know what I've been riding the Panthers anyway.
Starting point is 01:19:11 I think they're going to hit her over. I didn't, whoever is the quarterback. I always have a trade bright show. Give the guy shot. All we are saying, give Bryce a chance. Give him a chance. Panthers at Bears. I'm going to go Panthers.
Starting point is 01:19:23 I'm going to say Panthers too. Andy Dalton. Xavier Leggett. Thank you for fantasy this past week. He's watching too, so yeah. He pointed at the camera. Eddie? Oh, Panthers, man.
Starting point is 01:19:31 Andy Dalton all the way. The Bears are for sure winning. I'm going on Bears. I'm going to bear. I'm going to bear. Put the graphic up. Ravens at Bengals. That's a good one.
Starting point is 01:19:42 That's a good one. They're playing in Cincinnati. The Bengals do not have a defense. Their defense is a wet piece of paper. I'm still going to go with the Bengals. Wow. Die hard. Yeah, I mean, I bet I'm winning the Super Bowl.
Starting point is 01:19:54 So now I'm like, I'm not biased. I got to get that. If they were to win this game, that would be huge in that division. The Ravens may also be the best team in the NFL, even though they're just two and two. If you remember they lost to the Chiefs on a crazy game when the Chiefs had better players.
Starting point is 01:20:05 And they had no business losing that Raiders game either. None. But they did. And they did? I'm going to go Bengals. Are all you guys going Ravens? Ravens. You guys are intelligent.
Starting point is 01:20:15 That's why. I mean, Goodlop's stopping Derek Henry, dude. How are they going to stop that dude? Well, if you're asking me, I would say hit him low. Take his legs out. That's a good one. That's what they tried to do. Do you see that other guy, though?
Starting point is 01:20:25 He tried to tackle him and his shoulders. He's like, oh. Oh, yeah, he got knocked out. He looks like thin, though, in that uniform. Yeah. Like his pads out to go. Just in the purple? Yeah, like he looks like he lost some color weight.
Starting point is 01:20:35 talk about his diet. Uh-uh. He, like, doesn't eat until 4 o'clock in the afternoon and all that stuff. One meal, though, too, right? Yeah, one meal a day, I think. We should try that. Like, no sugar, all that stuff. I was thinking about that.
Starting point is 01:20:47 Brown, uh, dolphins of Patriots. Oh, gosh. Uh, toss up. Can they both lose? Yeah. Zero, zero. Such a bad game. Go Pats, baby.
Starting point is 01:20:56 That's a bet that it ends in zero zero. And it's like zero zero. It's like $140 to one. The Patriots are minus one. Yeah. I don't think home field is now considered three points. anymore. I think it's considered like one and a half to two points. So that means neutral field dolphins would be the favorite.
Starting point is 01:21:11 I'm going to go dolphins. Okay. It's crazy that they can't play offense without Tua. Yeah. Can't. There's nothing there. I thought Tua sucked everybody. And again, they didn't have a very good start to the season, but yeah, I'm going to
Starting point is 01:21:29 go dolphins. You should want the Patriots to lose, even though it's your team. I know you can't really want them to lose. I hear you. You should see the benefit now of when they lose. It moves you up. We just lost our center to our best office linemen. And you didn't have a good one.
Starting point is 01:21:40 You didn't have a single office line. Yeah. So I'll go dolphins. And the Pats are going to win this. Hey. I'll go dolphins. Let's go Patriots. Nice.
Starting point is 01:21:48 Why not? All right. You going, Patz? Yeah. Brown's and commanders. Oof. Oh, commanders. You know, I think the commanders are going to lay an egg.
Starting point is 01:21:57 You think so? That time? They haven't let an egg yet. A little too hype. A little too hype. Yeah. Reality's got to hit at some point. Browns have a decent defense.
Starting point is 01:22:06 They're a little. too hype. Just because of that, I think it's time for them to lose. I'm going to go Browns. I think it's going to be a close one, but I think the commanders will still win. Ooh, I'm going to go Browns. By the way, I was a question. Why are we going to read? Reid doesn't even watch football. I know. I love it. Well, I'm waiting for him to go, ow.
Starting point is 01:22:21 After his answer. I think he just picks which one of us he likes better. I feel included. You can keep on with this. I like it. I like it. I like it. I feel like it goes, ooh, and then picked. Eddie? Ow. What is the commanders? Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:22:34 Yeah, Washington. Colts of Jag. Let's go Jags? Yeah, let's go Jags. They need to win one. It's got to be this one. Reed? Yeah, let's go Jay's.
Starting point is 01:22:44 Do it, man. Here's a good one. Bill's the Texans. Yeah. Devonte. Not Devonty, I'm sorry. Stefan Diggs back. Stefan Revenge games.
Starting point is 01:22:54 I'm gonna go Bill's. Same. That's hard. I can't believe in the Texans anymore. Why? Why? They ran them last week. Stroud's getting figured out a little bit.
Starting point is 01:23:03 He's a beast. He's a beast. He's a beast. I think of him a game like weeks ago? No, just Stroud, his fantasy points have been like... No, I have him. Last week he did get. 30 points.
Starting point is 01:23:14 No. He got 17 or something. Like 19, but... Yeah, dude. It was not good. Not only the quarterbacks are doing good, though. That's not true. Daniels is like, I'm thinking about starting him this week.
Starting point is 01:23:23 Sam Darnel's like the best quarterback. You're right. Overall, the quarterbacks are not, because nobody's throwing for high yards. Dack is pretty decent. He's been consistent. Yeah, because they're way down and he just chunks for them. Correct. That's really it because I have, yeah.
Starting point is 01:23:34 24. Yeah, who did? 24? Okay. Stroud last week. Yeah. No, he had, I have him.
Starting point is 01:23:39 Yeah. So, yeah, I knew he played well. Niko put up 30. Yeah, Niko says, he's amazing. All right,
Starting point is 01:23:43 let's go Texans. No, I don't change it. We have four more. Cardinals of 49ers. Niners. Yep. Niners. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:23:50 I really want the Cardinals to win because I have, Calder Murray. Thanks, right? Packers at Rams. Go Packers. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:23:59 I think the Packers. Go ahead. Put the pack on. Who cares? Yeah, that's the game. That's the game. Whatever. it's got to be the Hawks, right?
Starting point is 01:24:08 Yeah, Hawks, man. Cowboys at Steelers. Steelers two and a half point favorite. This is hard, dude. This is going to be a good game, man. Maybe. Low scoring game. No scoring game.
Starting point is 01:24:16 What's the, you guys are missing your best? What's the Thursday night game? We got a... When this airs, what was last night? Saints and Falcons. Oh, yeah. That's right.
Starting point is 01:24:26 That was a good game. Two teams are... Yeah, I mean, how about those freaking Falcons looking good. It's Kirk Cousins. Yeah. We recorded this right before the game. Cowboys at Steelers. Oh, the games, yeah, that games.
Starting point is 01:24:38 Sunday night. No, no, hold on. Falcons and Saints is coming up tonight. Yes. Got it. Yeah. This part will air on Friday. Cowboys at Steelers.
Starting point is 01:24:46 I'm going to go Cowboys. Me too. Do you really believe that? No. You're just doing it for fun? I'm doing like Reed. Yeah. Just to be included.
Starting point is 01:24:53 I'm personal interest. All right, let's go Cowboys. Yeah, man, I want you to be happy. I don't know. I'm going to go Cowboys. Do you believe it? No. Exactly.
Starting point is 01:25:01 But I'd rather have the Cowboys win. Cowboys. Me too. Cowboys. All right, Mike, that's it. We're done. Thank you all. Hope you have a great rest of the day. Thanks to Calvin Johnson. That was very cool.

Starting point is 01:25:41 You sold it to him? On eBay. Oh, that's cool. On my eBay page. I thought you were just cruising eBay and found him. No, no, no. He bought it, paid for it, and then sent a message and was like, hey, listen, 25 whistles every time.
Starting point is 01:25:50 That's cool. That's cool. And I'm like, we're not on every day. So you're lying. Tell the truth. All right, that's it, Eddie Blah. All right, see you guys. Theme song written by Bobby Bones.
