Hey, I ordered like a cheese and sausage breakfast sandwich. They want it?
Starting point is 00:03:31 I just came in. I appreciate it, but I don't think I'm good. Thank you, man. I just don't want it. Why are you giving it away? Because it's like 10 and I ate lunch early. and I wasn't feeling great, so ordered something. Now I don't need it.
Starting point is 00:03:44 Mike, you don't need it. You don't need it. You don't need it? You don't need it? It's fresh. I'm good, thank you. Not you, Mike. Oh, no, I'm good. I already had my breakfast. I'm ready for lunch. Blow the west lighting. Here we go. Thank you. A couple things. And Eddie and I were just talking about this off the air, but we had him on the show a few weeks ago, but Joey G, who now works with the fever and the Pacers. He was working for the NBA. And so in Vegas this past weekend, I had, I met him for like breakfast lunch type thing.
Starting point is 00:04:11 We didn't have any cheese, um, sausage cheese. Not, not what you have. And he was like, hey, if,
Starting point is 00:04:17 uh, you want to come to the fever playoff game, let me know, come up. And so the fever in a three game series right now. WMBA first round is three game, right?
Starting point is 00:04:28 So they lost to the sun game one in Connecticut. And they play the second game in Connecticut. Maybe tomorrow. Maybe later this week. I'm not sure. But game three would, be Friday, but they have to win game two for there to be a game three.
Starting point is 00:04:44 So if they win, you're going. I'm going to go. Nice. This is it. This is your dream come true. You love Caitlin Clark? You get to do your game. That's not my dream come true, but it would be fun to do. Your most recent dream? No. I might just say it'd be fun to do, but it's not really a dream come true to go to a playoff game. Wednesday. Wednesday is game two? Wednesday is game two. And then Friday would be game three. Friday would be game three.
Starting point is 00:05:06 So, yeah, he was like, hey, come to come. I was like, ah, I always get weird when people invite me into my face to things. I feel like they have to. But he brought it up. I didn't bring it up. And then I was like, if you invite me after we leave here when you don't have to again, he was like, hey, just come to the game. I'll get you set up. So if they win, I hope to God they win.
Starting point is 00:05:24 It'd be super fun to go to. That'd be awesome. He said I could bring somebody. So. So, dude. I don't mean, I don't. What's up? I don't know who I'm going to bring, but did your wife not want to go to that?
Starting point is 00:05:36 I don't know. Probably not. You should ask her before you try to. think about who else you can take. Or I can just be like, hey, we're going to go up and do some. No, no, you're crazy, dude. But, but like, look, and even if you think that your wife, I know you think that, and you're probably right, but if I ever assumed that my wife didn't want to go to something and I
Starting point is 00:05:56 didn't invite her, she'd be upset. Yeah, but I assume all the time now because she never wants to go to anything sports-related. Yeah, okay. Very, very, very, very rarely. Well, I would turn this around on you then. I always assume that you don't want to do what we're doing, but then when we don't invite you, you're like, you didn't invite me. Yeah, but the difference is if I'm like, hey, do you want to go to whatever game?
Starting point is 00:06:12 She's like, why'd you even ask me that? You know I didn't want to go. Oh. So. That's tough. Okay. Hey, I've been married to my wife. It's true. I'm not married to your wife.
Starting point is 00:06:21 That's right. But they have to win game two, and they got to be pretty soundly. Oh, really? Yeah, game one. There's Reed. You're not late. We just started before. Do you want a sausage?
Starting point is 00:06:34 Just order this sausage egg and cheese sandwich? I would freaking love it. Jesse go. Are you hungry? Are you hungry? Yeah, it's from elegy. It's fresh. Just got here.
Starting point is 00:06:47 Come on. See, you knew Reed would show up. Of course. Reed in Vegas. So he flew back at the same time we did. And I would talk to people that would go, hey, I saw your digital guy. Different reports. Where would they see them?
Starting point is 00:07:05 Tables, gambling, sometimes by himself. We have just introduced Reed to gambling In the past, in the one year It's our one year anniversary Read never really gambled And since then he had a real hot shot at Crapes his first time He was obsessed
Starting point is 00:07:18 We went and I did a show in Tulsa At a casino and Reid gambled at a casino And wanted a bunch of money A slot machine Is that slot machine? Yeah, it was a slot machine Yeah, I just put 50 bucks in And then 700 came out
Starting point is 00:07:28 That's crazy That's fun And so yeah people would just be like One guy came up to me And said hey I saw your digital guy He was sitting at a blackjack I've never played Blackjack would read. I've never seen Reed play Blackjack.
Starting point is 00:07:39 I didn't even know if he could play Blank Jack. I don't see myself playing it either. They said he had just money piled up everywhere. A big stack of chips. And I said, well, that could be really good or really bad. Really good if he had won it all, really bad if that's what he got out of the ATM. And stacked it all up. And so going into the final night, you were down a bit.
Starting point is 00:07:58 Yeah, I was down just a little bit. Just a little bit. But hey, I ended up even. He ended up even. Okay. All right. Okay. That's a win in Vegas. Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:08:08 At the end of the weekend, he was even. That's what he said. Very good. Technically, I'm up like $23. Oh, no, no. That's not, that's real. Then you're up. Okay.
Starting point is 00:08:16 Yeah, I'll take it. There's no, if you're up $1. Yeah. You win. Gambling. You're up. You finish up a buck. All right.
Starting point is 00:08:23 Anytime I gambled with Reeve we won, I had a decent. I never went to gamble. And the only time I ever gambled was if I was 20 minutes early somewhere. We'd be in the casino. I won like $4,000. Yeah. That's awesome. Maybe 36-hundred.
Starting point is 00:08:37 I sat at a slot machine. I didn't even know how to play the game. I was just waiting for something. Like, I mean, I didn't know what the... It's like all these, like, treasure chests and letters and dog bones, and it's all this. And so I'd hit the button.
Starting point is 00:08:50 I put in like $60 and I won $600 like that. What? That's crazy. And I'm like, wow. And I don't know what the next button I hit was, but the next button I hit, bet everything I just won. And one bet.
Starting point is 00:09:01 Oh, that's the double down button. Really? Whatever the button was. I wish I would have never seen it. because I hit for like $600 and lost it all in one spin, which I didn't even know. They got me. That's not good.
Starting point is 00:09:09 Because I was just hitting it just to go back, just to move time. I ended up winning close $4,000. And I wasn't playing like with a, betting a ton of money. I just had three or four good runs. One Craps table read and I were at. I mean,
Starting point is 00:09:23 I lost a ton until the last roll and someone just was hot for a long time. And I ended up walking away. I think I started with $500. I ended up walking with $2,600. Oh my goodness. Because of one person roll. Was that Saturday night?
Starting point is 00:09:38 No, I think it was Friday. Yeah, it was Friday night. I got a text from Reid said, did you got to come? This guy's been rolling for 45 minutes. I'm like, that's a long time. That's a long time. Wow.
Starting point is 00:09:47 But you never want to go down because someone tells you to come down because by the time you get down, I don't be over. I wasn't even in my room. I was at the festival still. I'm not going to go over there. Did you leave the festival
Starting point is 00:09:57 early to go gamble? Yeah, usually when you left. That's when I left. Well, so I would leave after I was done and go to bed. I have to somewhat keep my body on track to do the radio show, so I would not stay out.
Starting point is 00:10:06 out late. Heck, night one, Thursday night went about at 7 p.m. Smart. Yeah. And so, and then next night I went to bed at like 945 and then like 9 or 10 the next night. But then Reed would just go gamble by himself. I'm over that gambling by myself stage. There was a time where I would do that. But it's like now, I don't even like to gamble anymore. I was doing it just past the time. And had I lost early, I would have been done. I wouldn't play anymore. But because I hit kind of early for like 500 bucks, 600 bucks. Yeah. I just was like, I'm playing with house. money anyway. So I ended up coming away.
Starting point is 00:10:39 About 4,000. I think I lost a couple hundred bucks in the slot machine at the airport, which I'm not sure if those things even pay out. Because there's really nobody there to ever watch and see, because everybody's just on, in and out. So I don't know. Came back to bring him a coffee. Caitlin was like, oh, he's at the slots over there.
Starting point is 00:10:54 And I was like, oh, of course. I did bet Arkansas plus two and a half. I bet $1,500. I put it up on it on Twitter. I bet $500 on that. So I won like $1,300 on that. Because I bet on plus two and a half, and obviously you don't get all that you put in. So I bet that at the casino.
Starting point is 00:11:13 But didn't do a lot of betting because you can't really do draft kings there because different people have. Vegas is weird about apping it. Yeah. So other than that, I bet some NFL yesterday. I bet the Cowboys. What a dude. Which is a couple things. And I think we can start with just this, Eddie, talking about the Cowboys.
Starting point is 00:11:30 Hold on. I saw Dak and Citi fighting on the sideline. Yeah. I mean, I think Citi's just got a bad ass. attitude right now. Yeah. Like, he's just during the whole game, he just looked like he had a bad attitude. But he also wasn't getting the ball, and when it would come to him, the passes were awful.
Starting point is 00:11:45 Right. And did you see, like, they would show him too in his routes. Like, he wasn't open. He was never open. So there's a good reason why the ball didn't go his way. So it feels like you are pro-D-D-a-c-and-c-a-c-m, I'm not anti-CD. I'm anti-CD's bad, bad personality, bad behavior, yes. I don't think it's new.
Starting point is 00:12:02 No, it's not. Yeah, I think you did that in the playoff game last year, too. And it's obvious too Because there were some passes that he dropped Where he normally wouldn't drop Well yeah that's because you're in a bad mood You also want your receivers to be divet-esque Because you have to have
Starting point is 00:12:17 You have to be out of your mind To be a really great wide receiver Has such confidence delusion even You want your wide receivers to be delusional Yeah but then when they actually throw you the ball You should catch it though So are you saying CD can't catch? No I think when his mind's like in that zone
Starting point is 00:12:32 And now you're a therapist I mean I think it's just human nature Mike, you watch the game? Yeah. Thoughts. I'm pro CDLAM. I think DAC was thrown terrible. I agree.
Starting point is 00:12:41 And I think that's why CD was frustrated. I agree. And I'm not a fan, so I'm not coming from a bias like Eddie is. I just see how two people are behaving. One, okay. And you do have a PhD and therapy. A quarterback? Yeah, and every quarterback's not going to throw 100% every time.
Starting point is 00:12:57 I get that. Your attitude, though, you can change that. And if you have a bad attitude, that'll change the whole attitude of your team. What are you talking about? You ever been a coach? I've been a coach. My 10-year-old basketball. 10-year-old boys.
Starting point is 00:13:08 And that is probably great for them. That's right. And if I saw one with a bad attitude, you're sitting down. Okay, and you'd go sit CD? No. Wouldn't do that. They almost came back and wanted. God.
Starting point is 00:13:19 They just stopped them on either of those last two series. I mean, they had two opportunities. One way they were calling all the timeouts, and then two, they would have got the ball back, but then Lamar took that up the middle and got the first down. We're sitting here talking about DAC and CD, but I think the big problem with the Cowboys is the defense, which is crazy because after week one, you're like,
Starting point is 00:13:39 oh, we got a great defense. But it just seems like the size isn't even there. Every time, like, anyone, like, when Derek Henry ran the ball, it was three little guys trying to tackle him. So linebackers are a lot smaller now because they have to cover more these guys playing receiver, more slots. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:58 Did it hurt a little bit more watching Derek Henry run all over you? Because you guys wanted him? And you guys have nobody. I didn't even think about that. We don't have a running game, though. It's nobody. So frustrating. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:14:10 No, we have three. We have running backs. They're just, they're not doing it. Guys, they're there. That's a, that's a tough. It wasn't that tough of a loss. I didn't bet a bunch of a buck. I bet $500 on it.
Starting point is 00:14:21 That would ruin my year. I won $4,000 in Vegas, so I was all right. But Baltimore's good and they were due. They were 0.2. They needed that win, I think, more than the Cowboys did. But that was, I mean, I did like, the little light of hope in the fourth quarter watching them play like that. That was exciting and good to see.
Starting point is 00:14:37 Two minute offense, they were on. Maybe we just do two minute offense the whole game. Saints won again and Vikings won. Saints won't. I think the Steelers. Steelers, yes. Steelers and Vikings are the two undefeated teams. Seahawks too.
Starting point is 00:14:51 I think are three and oh also. They must have won after I have a minute of the teams. Was that game, the afternoon game? Yeah, it was one against Miami. Yeah, Miami. They have to get four. Yeah. They had like, boy, who was their second string?
Starting point is 00:15:03 quarterback came in. Tim Boyle. I didn't even know he's still around. Why did he come in? Skyler Thompson got his ribs caved in or something. And also wasn't playing well either. Yeah. They got to get a quarterback.
Starting point is 00:15:16 Then he tried for Bryce Young. Yeah. They were trying for Hail Mary at the end of the first half. They tried twice. And he was just back there for like 20 seconds both time and they got nothing other than him just getting sacked. Speaking of Hellmeries, how about Colorado's Helmarry to beat him? Yeah, that was wild.
Starting point is 00:15:29 That didn't beat him, but it tied. They missed the Hail Mary at the play right before the play. play and I don't know that had he caught the ball he would have actually gotten the end zone. I don't think you would have. So it was a fortunate drop. Yeah. Then Shudor rolls left, chunks, touchdown. Travis Hunter makes the tackle in overtime. The runback fumbled the ball. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. It's awesome. Yeah. They're three and one. Now remember two years ago, Colorado was basically the worst team in Division I football. Yes. Yes. They're three in one now. I am biased because I like Dion a lot. But say what you will, they just
Starting point is 00:16:03 They haven't been three and one in, I think since 1872. In Boulder, Colorado. But that was a pretty cool game. We had our parlay, by the way. Yeah. I said Arkansas Money Line, which they were given up, no, they were getting a couple points. I said about the Money Line. Florida Money Line, Utah Money Line.
Starting point is 00:16:26 Nice. And we hit that, so that's pretty good. We like that. All right. We going to do Tittle Tattle? Let's do it. All right, let's get it. As the only man to hit 50 home runs and steal 50 bases in a season,
Starting point is 00:16:45 do you think the sports world isn't talking about Otani's record enough? That night, and again, I didn't watch it as it happened. I watched all the clips as it was happening. We were working. Yeah, so it's not like I watched the game, but he went six for six. He would have hit for the cycle had he not been thrown out at third. That was considered a double.
Starting point is 00:17:06 But he went six for six, two stolen bases, three home runs, ten RBIs. is awesome. I mean, it's probably the greatest game ever. That really isn't a stat that Major League Baseball keeps, like, who had the single greatest game ever? Now, I've seen people like pull up games, but it's, not only was it that, there were a few things that happened during this game. First of all, to go 50-50, now he's 51, 51, 52, whatever he is at now. But a few things happen. One, he went 50-50. Two, they made the playoffs. They clenched the playoffs with the win there. So that was a big. big game and then three and I remember the third thing but I remember thinking that's pretty cool
Starting point is 00:17:43 um I think they are making a big deal about it I mean nobody cares about baseball and I say that as somebody who kind of cares about baseball yeah I don't care and I know about it yeah nobody cares about baseball I think they're doing a great job the the hardest part about baseball is there are nine people on the field and Otony isn't even one of the nine because he's the designated hitter so unless it's the one unless it's one ninth of the half So you're looking at 1-18th. That's the only time he's on the field. And why is he not pitching?
Starting point is 00:18:15 He hurt himself. He had Tommy John. Yeah, he'll pitch next year. And then he does this. He's finally in the ballpen a little bit. But I think what's hard about having a baseball player that is really amazing is he's, they don't, they're not a part of it a whole lot. They're not a camera a whole lot. Where if you have a quarterback, a running back, a wide receiver, like they're getting the ball.
Starting point is 00:18:33 So I think that's the difficult part about getting people invested in baseball. If they're young, the superstar culture is tough. because the superstars aren't the focus for long enough a game. Like the Ronald Cooner Jr. It's like making great plays occasionally and he's hit. But again, he's just not on camera enough. Yeah. Where basketball, there's five guys.
Starting point is 00:18:55 And the camera's always on all five of them. Offense and defense. They're always in the shot. If they're a score. Football, their quarterbacks, the wide receivers, the running backs. Like, they're getting the ball. So I think it's pretty cool. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:19:08 There's only two players to ever have. 50 and 50, but not the same. He's the first ever in the same season. But I think ever in the history of baseball, there's like two people ever that have had 50 stolen bases and 50 home runs in separate seasons, and one is Barry Bonds and one is the Oriole. Brady Anderson.
Starting point is 00:19:26 No, Ripkin never hit that many home runs. That's going to say. Yeah. Or did he ever steal that many bases? No, definitely not. He's a slow-due. Definitely not. But Otani's making people care.
Starting point is 00:19:36 He is unbelievable. And I feel like he sees the ball. in a way that I can't understand. But also, like, this is just my opinion here. My opinion is there is zero percent chance that he had nothing to do with all the betting. Doesn't that seem like a lifetime ago? It does.
Starting point is 00:19:53 Like, you're going to tell me his interpreter. No, man. He took one for the team, man. Big time. And he'll probably be taken care of forever. Exactly. And there's a reason that baseball was covering that. If they were, and they have been through many investigations,
Starting point is 00:20:07 they've been cleared in every way. Hmm We haven't heard a peep about it At a long time But if I were that Translate or whatever I mean that would be interpreted That'd be great man
Starting point is 00:20:18 Like all right I just don't working now You take care of for the rest of my life You go to prison If you go to jail Is you going to jail? I could yeah Oh and I don't like that
Starting point is 00:20:25 Not ideal Change my mind Never mind Never mind You'd be taken care of But would you go to jail For a year For $10 million
Starting point is 00:20:34 Dude do you know how much a year is Like a year is a long time Do you know how much $10 million is? Yeah, a lot of money, a lot of money. But a year in the slammer. Like, I thought about like, you know, you see a sentence like, oh, three to four months. Like, that's not bad. No.
Starting point is 00:20:48 Like, you think about this month alone, it feels like a long time when it was like September 1st or August 1st. Like, that was a long time ago. I think $10 million. And then also if the plea is he goes to one of those prisons aren't like the slammer. Oh, like the white collar? Yeah, because again, it's financial crimes. Oh. Yeah, that's true.
Starting point is 00:21:09 But I think I would do it. There's still lonely dudes in there, though, right? But I'm not, you're just worried about some dude like dropping the soap? That's P1. But I don't think it's the same. I think you're thinking of like Oz, like the prison show on HBO where.
Starting point is 00:21:22 Right. But even if it looks like a Hilton, they're still lonely dudes in there. What's your obsession with lonely dudes? That's the scariest part about prison, man. Lonely people. I think I go for 10 million if I get put in one of those nice prisons for a year. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:38 You're going to be made someone's wife. Dude, we're loving out your fantasy. I know. All right, next up. Which road win impressed you the most over the weekend? Tennessee at Oklahoma, Utah at Oklahoma State, or Illinois at Nebraska. You know, Illinois wins in overtime, and their quarterback, Altmeyer, the kid who transferred from Ole Miss. Oh, yes, yes, yes.
Starting point is 00:21:59 Because Jackson Dart got the starting job. He played, I mean, Brett B. LeMay is in the perfect place for him. Yeah. In a conference where his style. at Beelma. He was the head coach at Arkansas. He's been on this show. Like, I'm a big Beelma guy. Illinois, that win was great because Nebraska had a bunch of heat.
Starting point is 00:22:17 So, I'm rooting for them. That's exciting. I don't know if they can win the conference, because that's a pretty tough conference, but that's perfect for that conference, especially in wintertime when it gets cold, and they're just a bunch of fat boys playing strong fat boy football. Like, we like that.
Starting point is 00:22:34 The Tennessee game, I tell you, was Tennessee slowed down at the end. I think, and I'm not going to say this to my family because they were pretty upset. They went to the game. My father-in-law went to the game. And I was only able to watch parts of it because we were in like the bowels of the arena in Vegas and I couldn't get good internet and I would watch a little here and there. And then I saw that Jackson Arnold, their quarterback was out of the game.
Starting point is 00:23:00 I'd know if he was hurt. And so I really wanted to know. So I would text him and be like, hey, what happened to Jackson Arnold? And again, I don't know if he was hurt. And the game was, it was like 9 to 3 for a while, 12 to 3. So the game was still happened. And he was like, no, he just sucked. He didn't say sucked because he doesn't talk like that.
Starting point is 00:23:14 But he was like he was. Is your father-in-law? Yeah, he was like he was struggling. They put the freshman kid in. I think Tennessee could have actually beat them worse. But that was really cool to see Josh Hyppel go back to like his school. His dad was crying. It was a really cool scene.
Starting point is 00:23:31 So that was a strong Tennessee win. over a good Oklahoma defense. Oklahoma's offense like terrible. Awful. But they haven't looked good all year, but their defense. They haven't looked good since, well, I guess last year they had Dylan Gabriel, which was up and down, but yeah. Utah, backup quarterback, too, right?
Starting point is 00:23:51 Yeah. Rising's out. And that score was way closer than it was, excuse me, the score at the end of the game was closer than the game actually was. Oklahoma State scored at the end when it was already over. I don't know, all three of those are good, but I would say probably the Tennessee at Oklahoma, Oklahoma's first SEC game.
Starting point is 00:24:12 They're hyped up. There really was no question the whole game. No. But the Illinois game, that was strong too. Rihola looked good. I mean, I know it's Nebraska, but he's on a watch. I was my first time watching him. He can throw.
Starting point is 00:24:23 I mean, he can throw. And he's like 12. He's the Patty Mahomes guy? He's freshman, yeah. Yeah, yeah. All right, next up. All right, NFL, which surprising 3-0 team do you still think will be in the mix come January? the Steelers, Vikings, or Seahawks?
Starting point is 00:24:37 If it's going to be the Steelers, they are going to have to play really fantastic defense. Justin Fields, he played pretty well yesterday. He made a couple good throws, too, and not just five-and-six-yard-dinkers. And again, we were flying back, so I was flipping through and getting bad internet. So the only game I got to watch the full game of
Starting point is 00:24:54 was the Cowboys game. You watched the whole game? Most of it. I fell asleep for a little bit of it. I was just exhausted from the weekend. So I didn't get to invest as much at watching, like, full, full games. I'll do the multi-screen because YouTube TV's the best.
Starting point is 00:25:08 It's the best. The Vikings actually look good. Yeah. They're killing teams. And they beat a really good team. They beat the Texans. They beat the 49ers before everybody was gone. Yeah, the Texans.
Starting point is 00:25:21 Giants suck, and that doesn't really count. But Daniel Jones actually looked pretty good yesterday. They didn't play them yesterday. But Daniel Jones did not look terrible yesterday, which was crazy. And the Seahawks beat the Broncos, the Patriots, and the Dolphins. So I don't really feel like the Seahawks have had to, they don't have the SOS that the other have. The real adversity. I think the Seahawks can be good, but I haven't really seen anything.
Starting point is 00:25:41 I'm going to put the Vikings there. Did you know that Sam Donald is younger than Joe Burrow? Crazy. Oh, I didn't know that. I saw that this morning. Wow. Because he's just been around longer and he's been in the news because he sucked. But has he sucked or has he been in bad places?
Starting point is 00:25:55 Or did he suck and he actually now develop to be in a pretty decent quarterback? Or is he not even real? And he'll suck later. All these are questions. but I think the Vikings, their three games, has shown us that they can actually compete. The Texans and the 49ers are two good teams. Yeah, they beat the crap out of the Texans.
Starting point is 00:26:11 It was never a game. From what I saw, because again, I was falling asleep. Yeah. Or maybe I was flying. That's the noon game? Yeah, it was flying. So it was like never a game, right? No.
Starting point is 00:26:21 Never. Because I have Stroud as my fantasy quarterback, and he just was never on. He had a few picks, didn't he? Yeah, two. Okay, so anyway, I'm going to go Vikings. Okay. Then Steelers.
Starting point is 00:26:32 No, I'm still going to go Vikings than Seahawks. I just feel like the Seahawks are probably a better team even though they haven't had to show it yet. All right, next up. Last one. Whose early season redemption story are you enjoying the most? It's Sam Darnold, right? It's got to be Sam Darnold because he has sucked many times.
Starting point is 00:26:46 Justin Fields was fun because that also could have been, you're looking at two quarterbacks here who are in bad situations. Even Justin Fields in Chicago. Probably not the best situation for him. I mean, by the way, Caleb, sucks. He's a rookie. He should suck. He sucks right now.
Starting point is 00:27:05 It's rough. It's rough. It's rough. Malik Wallace won a couple games. Yeah, look at Malik, man. Like, Green Bay. Coming back to Nashville. I wouldn't even bring Jordan Love back until he's ready, ready. They can afford to lose one if they have to. So just stats here. Donald has 657 passing yards and eight touchdowns.
Starting point is 00:27:23 That's awesome. Yeah, not bad. Yeah, I'm rooting for him. That's cool. I like to see somebody who's been, told you suck and then says not so fast my friend but same thing's going to happen with Bryce Young I swear to God although the Panthers winning yesterday is pretty crazy
Starting point is 00:27:38 I know but still Dalton goes crazy Dalton goes crazy somebody's gonna get Bryce Young and make him a good quarterback I fully believe it but look at Darnold and look at Baker lost though yeah they did lose that not a good showing not a good showin not a good and they lost to somebody they shouldn't have Broncos oh yeah and they got
Starting point is 00:27:53 Bo Nix look good hey I'm one out of three I'm only one for three but Bo Nix he looked really good even running the ball. Like, he has an irrational confidence, though, that I like him. Even when he was, like, throwing picks early, he just slinging. Screw it, man. Let's go. So, yeah, I was pretty pumped about that Bowenick, that Broncos.
Starting point is 00:28:14 All right, there you go. That is the tittle tattle. Get it. Again, we would like to say to everybody, congratulations if you bet our parlay, Arkansas, Florida, Utah, all money lines. And we're pretty proud of that. We're one for three on the parlays. But the parlays are hard because it's three games. It's a parlay. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:35 If we go one for three every time, I wonder if we're in the money. Like in the plus. That's nothing you can figure out with your head right now. Trying to figure it out. I don't know. I'll crunch those numbers. Get on draft kings. There's also draft kings pick six, which is so much fun.
Starting point is 00:28:52 You pick a player and choose if they'll have more or less of a stat. Like if you're going to do it tonight, for example. Because you can do it for tonight if you hear this before the Bengals play tonight. And we've got two games too. That's right. The bills. Two games tonight. You're right.
Starting point is 00:29:05 So get it in early. As soon as you hear this, get it in. I was just thinking about the Bengals commanders. But that's right, the bills are playing the Jags. Boy, the Jags, if they don't win. Oh, that's brutal. Trouble. I was listening to someone.
Starting point is 00:29:22 Maybe it was on Bill Simmons podcast. I think Belichick will be the coach of the Jags next year. Wow, really? I haven't heard that one yet. He's having too much fun. He is. A young girlfriend, folks. Oh, I thought you meant like,
Starting point is 00:29:35 No, like retired. No, he's not retired. I see him. He's doing lots of television stuff. Yeah, but I think he's loving life right now. That coaching job seems stressful. I don't disagree with that, but he's not retired. Maybe he's retired from coaching.
Starting point is 00:29:46 Coaching. Got it. Joe Burrow, more or less than 264.5 passing yards. I mean, naturally you would think more, but it's been such a low output of just throwing the ball. Isn't Andy Dalton the only one with 300 so far? Yeah, and he threw like $350, didn't he? Wow. They need throw...
Starting point is 00:30:05 This week, you mean? Yeah, yeah. Two, I had over 300, week one. Oh, week one, yeah, yeah. Jamar Chase, more or less 81... Erad, you do it. Joe Burrow, more or less than 264. Let's go under.
Starting point is 00:30:17 Jamar Chase, more or less 81 receiving yards. Oh, if I went under, let's go under again. Josh Allen, more or less than 230 passing yards versus Jaguars. 230? Boy, that's significant. I go over. Just because it sounds like a lot, let's go over. James Cook more or less than 0.5 touchdowns versus the...
Starting point is 00:30:34 Jaguars. Two touchdowns. Go over. You think he'll do two? Yeah. All he has to do is they get one. Yeah, that guy's good. He is good. He's really good. We have his, cowboys have his brother. Who knows when we're going to use that guy. Oh, yeah. He's still on the, like, the practice squad. Really? Well, he doesn't get used just because his brother, James Cook, though. No, but he was good for so many years.
Starting point is 00:30:54 James Cook played in Georgia, right? Yes. Ooh. Well, somebody Google. I want to say yes. I want to say yes, too. I feel like he played at Georgia. Because I'm thinking of Jean-Juart Swift. DeAndre definitely did. Yeah. Mikey,

Starting point is 00:33:05 behind the scenes, follow at Clifford and at TikTok Podcast Network on TikTok. I'm John Green. You may know me as the author of The Fault and our Stars and now I guess also is the co-host of the Away End, a brand new world soccer podcast. I'm Daniel Alarcon, a writer and journalist and John and I have known each other since we were kids. My first World Cup was Mexico 86. I was nine years old. I watched every game
Starting point is 00:33:28 and I fell in love. On our new podcast, The Away End, we'll share with you the magic of international football, all leading up to the 2026 World Cup. For us, soccer, football, is a story we've shared for over 30 years since Daniel was the star player on our high school soccer team. Very debatable. And I was their most loyal and sometimes only fan. I love this game. I love its history, it's hope, its heartbreak, and above all, it's beauty. Together, we'll find out why, of all the unimportant things, football, soccer, is the most important. Listen to the away end with Daniel Alarcon and John.
Starting point is 00:34:05 John Green on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Bryce Young lost his girlfriend the same week as he lost his starting job. Oh, he didn't. Really? Why? If yesterday's reporting is accurate, this from Bro Bible. A bad week for Bryce Young got a whole lot worse. Early last week, Young was benched by the Carolina Panthers in favor of Andy Dalton.
Starting point is 00:34:27 Then over the weekend, a story broke saying that Young's apparent ex-girlfriend, Myra Gordon, uh, broke up with him. sources say the TN trade interest, yeah. Oh yeah, so it got broken. The weird thing, because she had also dated like a bunch of other athletes.
Starting point is 00:34:45 Oh, she's, football chasing. But I'm saying, like, why would you even want to date somebody and if you're Bryce Young, you can have anybody you want? Or you're, if you're famous, or you have money, or you're an athlete, the pool opens up in a way for the normal person that you wouldn't have.
Starting point is 00:35:02 Why would you want to go and date somebody that dated a bunch of, other athletes. I'm thinking, like, if you're socially awkward, maybe Bryce is, like, just a shy guy, right? Because, I mean, he's kind of a shy dude. He kind of is a little bit. And these girls are the ones that come to you.
Starting point is 00:35:16 You don't go to them. And, like, I feel like someone forward like that who just dates football players would probably go to Bryce and be like, hey, what's up? But I feel like Bryce is, like, a smart dude. Like, why would you want to be with somebody? But, yeah, Myra Gordon had been spotted earlier in the week at the Atlanta Falcons Philadelphia Eagles game
Starting point is 00:35:33 with 76 or star Tyrese. see so she'd already yeah good for him for who no no for Bryce for escaping that got him
Starting point is 00:35:44 yeah interesting I thought you were saying but he got done no no no no sources do say that several teams have approached the Panthers for trade interests
Starting point is 00:35:51 the Panthers maintain they have no interest in making a deal they should make a deal the panthers should trade him especially if they're going to try to draft a quarterback yeah
Starting point is 00:35:57 and also if I'm the Panthers I don't want Andy Dalton winning yeah like I'm putting you in so you don't win it comes down those were 350 I don't know man Like there's no benefit in the Panthers
Starting point is 00:36:09 Winning more than a game or two They need to act like they're trying But you're gonna fall Canales isn't gonna get fired in his first year No Not at all Well actually I don't know what temper That's true to it because
Starting point is 00:36:22 You know Frank Gregg got fired before his first year was over Yeah Guys I feel like Andy Dalton was playing When we were in high school Like definitely when I was in high school I was sure I think you're thinking of Carson Palmer
Starting point is 00:36:33 Oh no problem He's like red hair of quarterbacks. But yeah, he's been around for a while. AJ Green on the Bengals, that was the time. He's been around for a while. Excuse me, Reed, you did not start somebody on your fantasy team. That's the ultimate. That's my bad.
Starting point is 00:36:48 I just did not look at it. We got to Vegas and I got distracted. So this is Reed's first year to play fantasy. That is almost a league kickoutable offense. In a serious league, if you like forget, if somebody's out and they were out and you didn't change it, that's almost a league kickoutable offense because what that's doing is giving somebody else an advantage to win because somebody's an idiot.
Starting point is 00:37:10 Luckily, he was playing me, so I'll take it. Oh, yeah. But you can't not, you can't. I know, I know what you first year. They have it easy now where you can just do edit the quick lineup and they do it for you. This is first year. Oh, really? Yeah. Like you click it and it just says, like based on projections,
Starting point is 00:37:26 it plugs them in there for you. Oh, that's cool. Unless, yes, yes, yes. But if, because I think it was Brown, Philly. Yeah, who was out. Oh, you played AJ Brown. He did.
Starting point is 00:37:37 Yeah. And I'll be honest, like, when you're in Vegas, like, you don't even know what time it is. I understand. It doesn't matter. I understand. But I feel like every... I had guys. I had to change out.
Starting point is 00:37:46 Because... You've been playing for years. You know what you're doing. That's why I'm telling him. And in the past, it would be a fine. There was a $100 fine if you started anybody that didn't play. Ooh. Because that's just you not caring about the league.
Starting point is 00:37:59 Yeah. You know who I'm going to lose again. I'm doing awful. But I played Tom Lord. He did the same thing. Really? I'm still going to lose And he has no excuse
Starting point is 00:38:07 Like I didn't start Kenneth Walker the 3rd He had an ab issue He didn't play again Charbonnet played in his place There are people that I saw I was like oh I'm not gonna play them Because they may not play And Reed did not
Starting point is 00:38:17 Reed started Brown He got 0.0 points zero yards receiving And a big O beside his name I could have played Tony Pollard I mean he got There are a lot of players you could have played Six points But you still have like
Starting point is 00:38:28 Three they haven't played yet But yes But you can't As a new guy I'm just telling you as a friend Yeah You'll get kicked out of the league for that. I got it.
Starting point is 00:38:36 Because people will be like, you're an irresponsible league owner. Why are you putting something in that doesn't care? Yeah. It's a free win for people. That's fair. I got you. Say,
Starting point is 00:38:43 I'm sorry. I'm sorry, guys. Right now, I'm up on Reed 105.3 to 77.4. I have a 92% chance to win. I think I've played all my players. He has one left. And the player he's playing tonight. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:38:59 Sean Alexander. Really? Yeah. Adrian Peterson. It's cooking Buffalo But he's gonna have to score like 30 points I mean that's possible He's getting two touchdowns, right?
Starting point is 00:39:12 Yeah Why is ESPN now like you know how they do the matchups And they give the percentage of the win percentage They'll keep it at one even though the game's over In case you get negatives I understand but like thank you for giving them A little bit of a little bit of home I won a championship on that once
Starting point is 00:39:26 I was playing Scotty in the championship game And We were tied going into the championship game. And he had a player to start. All I do is get one point, and he fumbled, went minus two. I won the game.
Starting point is 00:39:42 I won the whole championship. And that was corrected later? Was that corrected? No, that was the actual game. But do you remember the days where they would give you the score and they'd be like, oh, correction? Like a day later. I got burned by that once.
Starting point is 00:39:54 They'll still do corrections. Yeah. They'll still do corrections. That's just because the stats get changed because they've corrected them on Monday or Tuesday. But I want a full fantasy league on a minus two fumble and it was the greatest victory ever. I thought it was over going into the game.
Starting point is 00:40:07 I had a 1% chance of winning. There's your 1%. There's the 1%. I had a 1% chance of winning because all he had to do was get one point. And he may have even gotten 10 yards rushing and still fumbled and I won by one. I remember Scott he was so pissed. I'd have been pissed too. That's like the ultimate. That's why he's not in the league anymore. That's the ultimate beat.
Starting point is 00:40:25 Do you want good news or bad news first, Eddie? Let's go bad news. No, no, no. I'm not saying I have it for you. I'm just saying in general. Bad, bad. I was want the worst first and then we'll end off on a good note. So in your bad news sandwich, you want bad first and good. Give me the and then wash it off with like a milkshake. Oh, yeah, good. What if the bad news is so, so much worse and the good news doesn't really like clear it up? Well, if I knew that beforehand, I'd probably go good news first, but
Starting point is 00:40:49 you never know before. A vast majority of people prefer to receive the bad news first to get out the way. Many management handbooks recommend the so-called bad news sandwich strategy. Newsgiver should hand out some good news, then the bad, then the main good. Yeah, I mean, ideally that sounds nice. But you never have two goods. Do you just make up the last good? Well, it can be something small. It doesn't be something big.
Starting point is 00:41:14 Okay. Hey, Cowboys won. That's cool, huh? Yeah. Or like, hey, you've been doing a great job lately. We've all been noticing. Also, yeah, you're going to die tomorrow. Here's five bucks. Also, though, yeah, we found this gift card.
Starting point is 00:41:25 We want you to have this. You got a gift card to Fridays here for you. I want to play this with Ken Golden, who is the king of collectibles, the Netflix show and he has gold. I want to, one, I bid. I don't really win. I'm following for it.
Starting point is 00:41:41 The tricks, if I say that. I got a Mickey Mantle sign ball while I was in Vegas. You did? Where is that thing? Well, it's not here yet. I bet on a golden on the app. Can you put that on the desk? Like, that would be pretty cool.
Starting point is 00:41:53 I don't know if I want to, I mean, people haven't stolen anything yet, but it would be the most valuable thing that I probably just wouldn't leave up here. You're right. You're right. So probably not. But this is our talk. It's only like 10 minutes with Ken Golden, who, again, is the most well-known sports auctioneer.
Starting point is 00:42:08 He has a show on Netflix called King of Collectible, The Golden Touch, and has sold over $1.3 billion in memorabilia through his company, Golden auctions. Thanks to Ken. Here he is. Ken Golden. So I love the show.
Starting point is 00:42:20 Huge, you guys all the time. Big sports fan, big memorabilia fan, big card fan, all of that. So I have, like, a lot of questions. I was watching you with the 10 mantle. Great at 10. Yes. You open.
Starting point is 00:42:32 And I feel like I've seen you look at a lot of cool things. Yeah. But I feel like in your eyes, there was a certain twinkle when you saw the perfectly graded Mickey Mantle Rookie 10. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. I mean, look, I've been doing this my whole life. I've been, you know, collecting, you know, as a kid just collecting cards probably
Starting point is 00:42:50 since I was eight, you know, as a dealer buying and selling since I was 12. But when there, and so I've seen everything, you know, and people say, oh, you don't get excited, you don't get excited. You know, there's certain things that you see that you know the history behind. You know how significant it is, how rare it is. A 1952 Tops PSA 10 Mickey Mantle is one of those things. And of course, the card we pulled out next, which was the PSA 8 Gretzky Wagner, with that, you know, amazing story behind the whole card.
Starting point is 00:43:23 That was something else. I just said, screw it. And, you know, we go into these shows and we don't, you know, we don't, you know, we don't know what's going to happen. It's not scripted. And I just said, screw it. Take a selfie. And I gave him my camera and said, take a picture of me.
Starting point is 00:43:38 And they left it in the episode. It was really cool to see you get excited. I felt like there was genuine excitement there. What do you have in your collection that isn't valued millions of dollars, but you're in love with because you're a massive fan? Because I'm sure people are like, what's the most valuable thing you have? Now, my question, it's like, what do you love that may not even be the most valuable thing you have? So this is, actually, the funny thing is that Barron's is coming out with a story on me.
Starting point is 00:44:05 I don't know if it's tomorrow or next weekend. They asked me, and I listed 10 I am. So I'm going to pick one from there, and I did have something in there as high as $2 million, but I'm going to pick one from there that is not my personal, that is not the most valuable, but will not be sold. So I grew up, as you can guess, a Phillies fan. This is a Schmidt jersey. This is an actual game mission jersey from 89.
Starting point is 00:44:27 And I was with my family at the 1980 World Series in Old Veterans Stadium. And I saw all the home games. I was there for game six. I was there with McGrawl pounding his chest. And, of course, the ball popping out of Boone's Globe and Pete Rose getting there to catch it. So I saw at auction a couple years ago, Ritchie Ashburn, who was a Philly Hall of Famer and was the announcer, he got a World Series ring due to his affiliation. I sold up for sale. And I said, I don't care what this goes for I'm buying it.
Starting point is 00:45:01 And the great thing is, is it fits me because Richie was not a six foot five, you know, thick guy. He was probably six foot one skinny outfielder like me, although I'm not an outfielder. And I was a tennis player. My son's the baseball player. And it's one of those things. The value, probably 30 grand. but to me, it brings back memories of, you know, being there and being with my family at the 1980 World Series, the first time the Phillies ever won. You know, I have four kids, and, you know, we're on the radio, and my kids don't think that's cool at all.
Starting point is 00:45:37 Did your kids think, like, what you did was just freaking awesome? Paul does. Well, I've got two older daughters. I've got Lindsay, who's 28, who probably doesn't care about any of it except the music. I got Laura, who people know for the Netflix show, and Laura will be here in about an hour. And she couldn't get off work until after a lunch meeting. But she always went to the office, and she always wanted to take picture with cool things. So she's got a picture of herself holding the Wagner.
Starting point is 00:46:12 She's got a picture of herself. And she would always take advantage of my relationships from the standpoint that, you know, for some reason we got divorced, her step for her, you know, the new dad, you know, my wife's ex-husband, my ex-wife's husband, was a giant fan. So she became a giant fan. So she said, Dad, can you get me to meet the Giants? So they won the Super Bowl. I got her to meet all the Giants. Like, oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:46:37 So she was into it. Paul, of course, is into it like crazy. He's like, we're in the car. Barry Bonsa call me. You know, so he's really, really into it. And Carly, and he just turned 11. Carly, who's six, is probably into it more than anything. but she's like waiting for her chance to be on the TV show
Starting point is 00:46:56 because she's like into Star Wars, into comics and to things like that. Final question for you, and I'm going to be very specific. I'm a massive Cubs fan. Do you have any favorite Cubs in your collection? Any favorite Cubs? Yeah, Ernie Banks. And what do you have?
Starting point is 00:47:12 Like, what is your favorite Cubs piece of memorabilia that you have? I have a actual game-used home run bat signed and inscribed by Ernie Banks photo match to one of his home runs. And Ernie, another one of my favorite items is personalized pictures with Ernie. Ernie was the nicest guy in the world to the standpoint that any time we're talking with his phone, he goes, how's your mom doing? How's your mom doing? Because my dad had passed away in 94.
Starting point is 00:47:47 So he would always ask me, how's my mom? How's my family? You're still enjoying work. You're ready to retire. You know, all this stuff like that. He was just an unbelievable great guy. You want to ask him about Cowboys real quick? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:57 What do you have? Yeah, what do you have for the Cowboys? What do I have for the Cowboys? Absolutely nothing. That's not true. What does he want from the Cowboys? Absolutely nothing. I'd get something to sell it.
Starting point is 00:48:10 But look, you grew up an Eagles fan. It's a little tough to have something. Sure, I get that. Have something Cowboys. So, well, we really appreciate the time. Massive fans, love. I mean, just, watching the show and the clips and just what you're involved in.
Starting point is 00:48:23 It's like everybody's dream to be around that, much less own it. So, yeah, thanks for making it cooler for nerds like me to care about the stuff. I have a lot of people tell me thank you so much. You know, they bring their wives, they bring their girlfriends. You know, now it's respectable. They can see what you do on TV, so now it's respectable. Now they don't think I'm some nerd staying up at 2 in the morning on my computer. Thank you, Mr. Golden.
Starting point is 00:48:43 Thank you. Pleasure. Listen to the Clifford show on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. And for more behind the scenes, follow at Clifford and at TikTok Podcast Network on TikTok. I'm John Green. You may know me as the author of The Fault in Our Stars, and now I guess also as the co-host of The Away End, a brand new world soccer podcast.
Starting point is 00:51:55 I'm Daniel Alarcon, a writer and journalist, and John and I have known each other since we were kids. My first World Cup was Mexico 86. I was nine years old. I watched every game, and I fell in love. On our new podcast, The Away End, we'll share with you the magic of international football, all leading up to the 2026 World Cup.
Starting point is 00:52:11 For us, soccer, football, is a story, we've shared for over 30 years since Daniel was the star player on our high school soccer team. Very debatable. And I was their most loyal and sometimes only fan. I love this game. I love its history, its hope, it's heartbreak, and above all, it's beauty. Together, we'll find out why, of all the unimportant things, football, soccer is the most important. Listen to the away end with Daniel Alarcon and John Green on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. All right, let's do personal games. Eddie, we touched on yours a little bit.
Starting point is 00:52:51 What do you want to say? Give us your personal game and how it went? No, I was in the air. So it was kind of interesting, like, to watch a football game in the air. Because then you start picking it. You know who the fans are. Like everything, when the Cowboys scored, we'd go, yes. And then you hear it, yes, yes.
Starting point is 00:53:04 And I look over like, yeah, Cowboys fan over there. So that's kind of cool. Like, I've never really, I've always stressed out like, oh, what time the Cowboys playing? Am I going to be flying or not? But I kind of enjoyed the experience of being in the air with other Cowboys fans watching the game. Like they weren't sitting by me, but it was cool to have them in the plane.
Starting point is 00:53:19 Did you lose on the plane? The game? Oh, yeah. I was still, it was probably mid-flight when they lost. So I just shut my laptop and started working. Not a lot of yeses. No, I mean, there was a lot of yeses at that fourth quarter. When they did make a comeback, yeah, that's pretty good.
Starting point is 00:53:34 Awesome. I mean, onside kick working. Like, okay. And then it was right before Tom Brady. You're right about the onside kick. I went to the bathroom and didn't even see it. So Tom Brady's... And I wonder how they got the ball back.
Starting point is 00:53:43 He's like, you know, it's never over until it's over. You know, like with the Super Bowl, you know, we thought we were losing. And then all of a sudden you got a, you know, three-point game, three-possession game. We'd come back and we win the thing. And so I started thinking like, I mean, he could be right, you know. If they make a stop, though, on either of those, all they have to is make a stop. I know. I know.
Starting point is 00:54:03 They did do it. So they did put themselves in position to actually make it a game. But yeah, I'm sorry for your loss. Thank you. You're one and two. Yeah. Yeah. That's tough.
Starting point is 00:54:13 It's not how I thought we'd start the season. Yeah. But I'm enjoying the games, man. I'm telling you, I'm a new man. I'm not going to let it ruin my whole week. It did help that they played like that at the end of the game, though. Casey Jets won. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:54:25 How awesome was that to witness. I mean, Rodgers. Vintage Rogers. Yeah, it was awesome. He went Rogers. Rodgers and Rogers here. Cup of coffee. Two in a row?
Starting point is 00:54:35 Two in a row. Two in a row. I think we're playing Denver next. Mr. Bo Nix. I think we'll still pull that one out. But are you playing it? I think it's in MetLife because we're on the road for the first two. So, yeah, that should be good. And then we're going to London to play the Vikings.
Starting point is 00:54:48 Sam Darnold. Oh, that's a loss. Playing three out of four games, not in New York? Well, we did. We played, we played, this past one was in MetLife. This one coming up is in MetLife. And then we're in London. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:02 Got it. So, yeah, two on the road, two at home and then the one in London. Well, congrats on your win. Yeah, we look pretty good. I think we're starting to shape up here. I don't know. Famous last words. I know.
Starting point is 00:55:14 I'm trying to. He's trying to be a whole win. The Arkansas game was interesting. We won, we beat Auburn. Auburn was terrible. It was a game of who just didn't want to lose. Like, it was a terrible game. You never frown at an away game, SEC victory on the road.
Starting point is 00:55:32 You just don't. But, God, we tried to give it away like four times. I don't know if you guys were watching any of the game. I did. Watched a little bit. That fourth down where they threw like a 70-yard touchdown. Luckily, we're up two scores. That is a struggle.
Starting point is 00:55:44 Yeah. I thought they benched our quarterback for a series because they did, but it turns out he just had cramps. He wasn't throwing the ball well. I'm happy for the win, and it was on the road. Auburn was terrible. Auburn plays Oklahoma this week. Oklahoma is going to stomp a hole in them. So I'm just still disgusted with the Oklahoma State loss from two weeks ago, where we collapsed.
Starting point is 00:56:05 We'd be 4-0. Still? Still. Because we beat UAPB by 100. It's not even a real team. we had Oklahoma State up against the ropes and they came back we did everything wrong in the second half
Starting point is 00:56:18 we almost got beat the week after that by UAB yeah Trent Dilfer I'm just starting to feel like and I don't know what the change is but this this is not long term for us to have some big success I think we could squeak out
Starting point is 00:56:34 if we win seven games this year that'll be awesome I want to win every game and I get sick to my stomach when we lose at all if we beat Texas A&M this week that will be massive for our season Then you'll forget about your last loss
Starting point is 00:56:47 No the Oklahoma State game We would be undefeated right now But you forget about that If you guys beat the Aggies You'll forget about that No I won't because Texas A&M is not great And Are you in Arkansas? Are you that you playing in Arkansas?
Starting point is 00:56:58 No, we play in Dallas It's a stupid game where we play in Jerry's World Where it feels so generic And like nobody There's like no home environment It sucks We need to do home and home there Arkansas won
Starting point is 00:57:10 I was happy about it and I want a bunch of money and I thought they would cover and I thought they would win that's why I put them as a money line but man we should have beaten him by like 21 24 points you watch some of it
Starting point is 00:57:21 yeah I was watching it because I always watch those games now just thinking of you I'm like what's the mood Bobby's gonna be in next week on Monday no that's a thing like even everyone at I heart was just like watching
Starting point is 00:57:31 like not watching the game but watching the score I'm like make sure if they win because Bobby's gonna be in a good mood or bad mood yeah oh that's true that's true so anyway I'm not gonna be sad
Starting point is 00:57:40 not gonna apologize guys for a road win but Auburn is terrible yeah they're they're pretty bad I think UAB would beat Auburn probably a cow went and beat Auburn and that was earlier this year yeah so okay cool um read I'd ask you but you don't really watch sports no no personal thing here but was it Colorado that the the football just hit dude right in the chest just bounced off yeah keep talking about that keep going was that it yes no I'm just saying and that's how they lost no was it I don't know you tell me I don't know yeah I think I think they lost from that, yeah.
Starting point is 00:58:12 Because that was a Hail Mary? Yeah, and then they fumbled, and then the other team threw a Hail Mary and won, actually. Right? Yeah, that's what happened. Yeah. I think I feel like, because they had TVs above the crafts tables, so maybe that's the game that was on while Reed was gambling.
Starting point is 00:58:27 Is that what you saw? It was a highlight run, yeah. So what happened was they were throwing the Hill Mary, and that was the next to last play, and it bounced off his chest, incomplete, and everybody was like, oh, my God, they could have scored. The next play was the throw where they caught the touchdown, then they won an overtime.
Starting point is 00:58:42 Colorado did it. So Dion's 3 and 1. I actually need to get all my highlights here. Well, you do, yeah. Well, no, but we talk. I guess I kind of do, yeah. Actually, yeah. Kevin, Tennessee, you're so, I mean,
Starting point is 00:58:53 I'm not getting a fan. I love Nico, man. You want to do New England? You want to do New England? You want to do New England? We already did the freaking Jets. Hey, make them do New England. No, because that's your real team.
Starting point is 00:59:02 That's your real team. My misery minute or whatever minute of misery. Yeah, that sucked. I was flying home, and I was like, yeah, Patriots are playing. Going to make my flight a lot better, by the way, Eddie. Remember we talked about it? They had it on the plane, no problem.
Starting point is 00:59:15 Good. Oh, good. I'm watching it. And by the second quarter, I was like, oh, my gosh. This is awful. And it was made a long flight even longer. What did you think about when Drake May went in? Because, again, this was Thursday, right?
Starting point is 00:59:25 Yeah. It's been so long ago. I was scared for him. He got robbed. I don't know why they did that. Me neither. It's like, if you want to put him in, that's fine, but let him build up and get some confidence. You don't want to throw them in there in, like, a wash of a game,
Starting point is 00:59:39 and just have the Jets. defense just go just crazy on them. Yeah, I felt bad for them. I didn't like that. Okay, well, there you go. Sorry about that, buddy. Yeah, that's all right.
Starting point is 00:59:46 Who are you guys playing this week? Oh, the Niners. Well, they're down, I don't know, their whole team. I know, and now they're going to be pissed off because they blew that game against the Rams, and it's at, they got to fly all the way to California. I didn't even watch into the game. I literally thought it was over, turn it back on.
Starting point is 01:00:00 I saw the Rams had won. A field goal? Yeah, yeah, game winning Philgo. Crazy. They did what the Cowboys couldn't. Made a stop when they needed to. Wow. Okay.
Starting point is 01:00:08 He had to bring you back in. They didn't bring it out. Quickly, Jets win. Giants beat the Browns. Think about the Giants win, though, was Daniel Jones didn't look bad, but also Miles Garrett got hurt. Yeah. And so I just saw MRI on his foot. If he's gone...
Starting point is 01:00:22 I didn't see that. Cleveland does not look good. Cleveland is terrible. Giants won, and I think they're still bad. I think Cleveland's just awful. I agree. Packers win. That's pretty cool for...
Starting point is 01:00:33 We like the Titans because we live here and we know some of the people. But good for Malik Willis. Yeah, Will Levis again throwing to the other team A couple of times And then he was just getting Absolutely, I mean he was getting killed back there Yeah Is there any hope with Willevis at all?
Starting point is 01:00:50 No I really thought there could be a chance but I don't know I don't think so Like he looks good in a uniform but other than that He looks the part He definitely looks the part He's good for commercials Colts beat the Bears
Starting point is 01:00:59 I mean Caleb Williams do for a bunch of yards I don't know it just looked like two teams That didn't know what they were due They both looked lost And Richardson looked bad Yes they both look lost Yeah. Vikings and Texans.
Starting point is 01:01:11 I didn't get to watch a lot of that, but it was never a game. When I was looking at the score, it was never a game. Eagles and Saints. The Saints were winning most of the game. It was 3.0, I think, for most of the game until the fourth quarter. Stealers beat the Chargers. Look at Justin Fields.
Starting point is 01:01:26 Good for him, man. Broncos win. Panthers beat the Raiders. And then after the game, did you guys see the Raiders coach? And he was like, they were making business decisions, so will we. Yeah. Because some of the players, like, weren't trying. Seahawks beat the Dolphins.
Starting point is 01:01:42 Dolphins are terrible. They have to get a quarterback. Cowboys lose to the Ravens. Rams beat the 49ers. Yeah, what was that? Lions beat the Cardinals. And then Chiefs win. They won last night.
Starting point is 01:01:53 Falcons look pretty good, though. They do look good. They just, I mean, they just couldn't. There's past interference on pits, right? I mean, we saw that, right? I've heard about, I haven't seen the clip yet, though. I've only seen the clip. I fell asleep.
Starting point is 01:02:03 There's past interference on everything. Like there's so many pass interference. Like, I feel like if you're not able to catch that ball at all, like, because of what they're doing, like, it's got to be called. Yeah. It's got to be called. And they just don't. And you can't do anything about it if it's not called. Yeah, I feel like KC could easily be O and three, but they're three and O.
Starting point is 01:02:23 because of like three plays in each game. Crazy. Yeah. That sounds like a hater more than anything. I know. That's something I would say. Yeah, anybody can be three and O and three because if we're going to go meta like that. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:35 Met up. Okay. Yo. Did you smell the Will Levis Cologne? Oh yeah. I smelled it. Oh yeah. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:43 Somebody here at work had it. And I was like, let me see that. It must have been like free, right? Like they must have got it for free. I don't know. When someone go, I got to get the Will Levis clone.
Starting point is 01:02:52 Or like he works at the radio station. So maybe like they sent it to radio station. That's what I'm saying. It had to be something free. Oh yeah. But here's the thing, though. They marketed it as like mayonnaise smelling cologne. Like it smells good.
Starting point is 01:03:02 Yeah. It smells like a real cologne. I would wear it. And you wear it that day? It doesn't smell like mayonnaise, mayonnaise? No, no, no, it doesn't at all. So I think they just said that to be cute because it smells like a real cologne.
Starting point is 01:03:14 All right, well, you guys have anything you want to say is we wrapped us up? You want to go around the room? Give me your final thought. Mike, you want to hit the song. Reed, you go first. Oh, man. I just want to say, I do not have a gambling addiction.
Starting point is 01:03:26 No one thinks you do. Hey, rocks, man. All right. You're just new to the table games. Like, we all went through this. That's true. But I had a great time in Vegas. I'm, you tired?
Starting point is 01:03:36 I'm very tired. Well, he stayed up late a lot of nights. No, like midnight. 2 a.m. to your body. Yeah, I guess that is true. Yeah, so. But I had a great time in Vegas. He did say a couple times, I love my job.
Starting point is 01:03:50 He said that? Yeah. Nice. Yeah. And I haven't done any sports betting on the app. So I'm going to try to keep refraining from that. And then just whenever we, you know, go on trips. and then we hit a casino
Starting point is 01:04:04 and I'll pop in for a little bit, you know. But other than that. Went to his high register there. Eddie? Yeah, I just want to say, I'm not sure how I feel about my parenting decisions this weekend because I decided to take my 16-year-old son
Starting point is 01:04:19 to Vegas. 16. And he loved it. Him and Reed. He was like, this is awesome. He was like begging me, Dad, can I play a slot machine please? I'm like, no, he cannot.
Starting point is 01:04:32 I heard that he was singing along to like Big Sean. Oh yeah, he likes hip hop. But like singing all the words? All the words, dude. Like, oh, too! I'm like, whoa, whoa, whoa, buddy, whoa, whoa, whoa. Don't say that your mom's here.
Starting point is 01:04:43 Don't say that. Sing to Chris Martin? That's fine. He doesn't like cool play. He doesn't like cool play. He doesn't like that stuff. I love cool play. Kevin?
Starting point is 01:04:51 Yeah, speaking of betting with Reed, I've actually hit, I found a little niche in betting. Oh, boy. Everybody that's got a system. I hit the first TD on Prime Time Games since night one. I've hit, what am I? five and four. And I just do five bucks
Starting point is 01:05:05 one player on each team. And I've won like 200 bucks and I've lost like 25 bucks. Let's go. That's pretty good. Wait, so what's tonight then? Give us your pick.
Starting point is 01:05:15 No, I pick it right before the game. I don't even look. I don't think about it until right before it. And I just see a name and I'm like, that's it right there. You just see a name. Sounds fishy to me. Boom. Can't tell us now because he only does it right before.
Starting point is 01:05:25 No, because I can't tell us. That ruins old system. Casey? Harry Rogers, baby. I don't know. That's all I got. That's all you got. Putting too much hope in one man.
Starting point is 01:05:37 Too much hope in one man. We're undefeated in SEC play. What can I say? We are undefeated in SEC play. Yeah, it's pretty exciting. It was just, my emotions were so torn because it's like, there's no long-term huge success here. However, I never want to lose, and I get so upset. And so I'm just like equally like one-eighths sad and seven-eighthates happy, but I don't want to be
Starting point is 01:06:03 sad at all. So it's like, I want to win every game. But if we win like five or six games and we don't make any substantial changes, I'm going to act like I'm going to care less, but I'm really not. But I'm going to act like it for a good two months this year. Basketball is like 40 days away. Who's counting? College basketball.
Starting point is 01:06:19 Yeah. We got John Calipari now. We're ready to go. We've got taught class. All right, that's it. Thank you guys. We'll see you guys later on this week. Betty blows out.
