I did lots of smiling. I gained so many smiles. I gained so many smiles. I think I was, I wrote the stat last night.
10 for 12 on
you may look at the text, Kevin.
I was 10 for 12 maybe on
first half unders.
They were just hitting one after the end.
I made so much money doing it.
Such an interesting theory you had there
that really turned out to be true.
It's not my theory.
What do you mean?
It is my special source
telling me that.
But you read a stack.
I sent you guys another special source yesterday.
I saw it. I saw it.
It's up to you.
you, if you'd like to use that special source, because lines change.
Stevie Nicks sang it best.
Time is changes.
Lines are changing.
But here we are.
And you know what?
There's a lot of basketball, and it was awesome for so many reasons.
I love day one.
Day one of the NCAA tournament when it's all back, and it feels like it's on every channel,
and it's everywhere.
And what is this game and that game?
They're playing at the same time.
They're 15 minutes apart.
it's just so amazing.
You know, I like round of 32 better because it doesn't,
I don't have to go back and forth through channels,
only like some midday.
The 6 o'clock games,
there's probably three games going on, but that's it.
I like having my game.
Oh, I don't.
And that ending, going to my next game.
I like multiple chances for there being upset.
And if one game is a four seats whooping up on a 12 or whatever it is,
okay, I'm going to go over there.
I'm going to try to watch this one.
So different reasons you like to focus on one game.
Yeah, I do like watching the whole game.
I like trying to find, like, where's the news going to happen?
Like, what's crazy going on?
Because something's crazy.
You got enough games going at once.
Crazy things are going to happen?
And, man, did they?
How often were you looking up with the little scores in the corner?
Like, he's just kind of like, game, and the corner.
I probably watch only the scores.
I just need to channel with only the scores and no game.
I watch that.
What is like a red zone?
Yeah.
Ooh, that'd be cool.
It flips around.
Yeah.
Like pivotal moments, big games.
That would be cool.
Yes, I come in, excited, happy, exhausted.
From the last time we spoke, I've been to Iowa and back twice.
Yeah, you have.
You got to know Iowa pretty well.
You know, I already knew it pretty good.
I had known a little better.
And it's cold.
Even in March, man.
So we do have a lot to talk about, but let's get going with the tittle-tattle.
Wait, wait.
Show stars now.
Sorry.
I forgot to start.
I got so excited.
I forgot to start the show.
Go ahead, Mike.
All right, Bobby, which program do you think is more overrated every year
heading into the tournament?
Virginia or Purdue?
You know what's funny about these two programs is they both were ones that lost to 16s,
and that's the only two times that's ever happened.
Oh, wow, I realized that.
So Virginia lost to a 16.
A while back?
Five.
I don't know.
18. Pandemic screws me up.
But yeah.
Yeah.
I was going to say five, but four years ago.
Oh, 23.
We're 23.
Five years ago.
They lost to a 16, first one to ever do it.
Now, they did come back when the national championship the next year.
It's quite the bounce of it.
Purdue this year.
It's an even bigger upset because the team that be Purdue
was supposed to be in the tournament.
That was awesome.
Yeah.
FDU.
And with Virginia, they just play so slow.
And their style allows for a team
that if they are yanging their yin
and they're yininin it good,
and the yin's not really yin and very good.
It's easy for a team.
to go, let's capitalize on the fact that they can't come back from a lot of points down
because that's not their style.
Purdue, it's not a style issue.
They just kind of suck when Tough gets going.
I feel like going into the year, they had a hard time picking four number ones.
Like, really?
And then when they came down to it, they're like, do we just throw Purdue in there?
I mean, we have to.
Virginia's tournament record since winning at all in 2019 is a loss to 13-seed, Ohio.
NIT birth
and this first round lost to Ferman.
That's terrible.
They've lost two.
A 13.
Furman, the,
because they were four.
What was Ferman then?
13.
No.
13.
40, 50, 16.
Yeah.
Whatever it was.
Because I had Virginia in the Calcutta.
I lost them.
Like an idiot.
I bought them.
Oh.
Furman was a 13.
13.
13.
Okay.
So there you go.
Oh, 13 and 13.
That's two 13s and one.
Nottet T birth.
since making the Final 4 in 1980
Purdue has claimed
10 Big 10 regular season titles
made 31 NCAA tournament appearances
and secured a number one seat four times
none of those teams made it back to the final four
and they lost in the first
round
So who are you thinking with that question?
I'm still going to go Virginia honestly
but I thought Purdue had the most pressure
on them to win this year
because again they came in as a one
they had EAD
he's a player of the year
they were playing a team that didn't
didn't average over like six foot three and a half.
And you would see Eadie
rebounding over three guys, but I don't think
the last nine minutes of the game,
maybe 10 minutes of the game,
Eadie even shot the ball.
Well, yeah, as soon as he got the ball,
three dudes were surrounding him.
Okay, but if it's three tiny guys,
jump with them.
But he couldn't move.
It's almost like their hands were covering his eyes.
That's all they were doing.
Their only chance was to just cover his eyes.
then find somebody that's on the outside.
His eyes were covered.
They don't have to shoot. They didn't see them.
They just didn't make noises.
All right, guys, we go back.
If you guys will meow like a cat when they cover my eyes, I'll find you.
It was amazing.
Yeah, I'm going to go with Purdue
because I don't think it's always a style problem with them.
They do play a little slower, obviously.
But Virginia really gets beat mostly based on the kind of ball they play.
Purdue just seems to choke.
Yeah.
My opinion.
Kevin, you?
I'm going to go with Purdue as well, especially over the longevity of it.
Virginia is just more recent, but Purdue, like, think about the teams even just 10 years ago with the Robbie Hummel.
I know he got hurt, but still, every year they somehow find a way to choke.
31 NCAA turn under appearances.
Four number one seats.
Never made it the final four.
This year and last year, they choked.
Yeah, that sucks.
Next question.
Which one seed impressed you more with their big win over the weekend?
Houston or Alabama.
Here's the thing about Houston that was impressive.
Now, they did get pushed.
And then Sasser played pretty well, but still limited.
Are you ever 20, right, in game two?
Will you look at that stat line?
Because I was flipping back and forth watching that game.
Now, Alabama won both games by more than 20 points.
Auburn was given Houston a run
until the second half, and Houston was able to pull away.
Now, Sasser was limited, but what was his point?
What was his, how many points he scored in that second game?
22.
Okay, so they're able to win.
these games without and with a limited Sasser.
That's impressive because it's only going to help them later
and Sasser's going to be back and that's obviously going to help them.
But Alabama is so good.
As they say in the famous song, so good, so good, so good.
Yeah.
So I'm going to go.
That's not Sweet Caroline.
Yes, it is.
No, it's not.
It's David Allen Coe.
No.
Sweet Caroline.
Good times never feels so good.
So good.
I'm an idiot. I'm an idiot.
You were right. You were right. I was wrong.
I'm going to go with...
I had to sing that out.
I'm going to go with Alabama, but both are really strong-looking.
I'm with you on Alabama because they proved that they don't need Brandon Miller.
The first game, he scored zero points, and they scored 96 as a team.
That just stuck it to you. That was just like, oh, yeah, you got any questions?
We can't play without Brandon Miller. Watch this.
I love that.
Yeah, Alabama's so good.
So good. They're so good.
Good.
So good.
That's sweet Carolina.
But both are amazing.
Both those teams, I mean, they could actually play each other in the championship.
I believe based on the bracket.
Let me see here.
Alabama play San Diego State next.
Creighton and Princeton.
The other side.
Yeah, Houston.
I mean, Houston and Texas playing Can't City, they both win their games.
That is going to be, that's the game until the championship game.
Dang.
All right, next.
After two big wins, do you think Princeton has a legit shot at making another final four?
Well, I do think Princeton,
I think they get a little look versus Creighton.
You know, I'd be curious to know what that line is.
We're going to come up with our parley live here in a minute.
But I'd be curious to know what that Princeton-Kraton line is as of right now.
But they'd have to do that, then beat Alabama?
No.
You say Final Four, no.
I don't think they have the athletes to beat a super talented team like Alabama
that is very athletic.
Let's look at who they beat.
You know what? Arizona has pretty good athletes.
It's a good team.
Huge upset.
Arizona doesn't have Alabama athletes.
Missouri, who cares?
Yeah.
They're fine.
They're pretty average.
They're fine.
Yeah.
So, Creighton, I wouldn't say an extremely athletic team.
I think a really well-coached team,
a team that can shoot a team that does stuff right.
But I think if they're able to beat Creighton,
let me find guess the spread.
Because I haven't seen it.
Aren't they all kind of close right now?
I haven't looked at a single spread.
No, I haven't either, but I'm just assuming.
I look at the Arkansas spread.
That was it.
But Princeton, Creighton, I'm going to guess it's Creighton plus four.
No, sorry, Princeton plus four.
It's Creighton minus nine and a half.
So that's not close.
Yeah, that's not close at all.
That's the biggest one.
I was giving them too much credit.
Yeah.
Dang, really.
I may have to.
Yeah, it's the biggest one out of this next round.
I didn't watch a lot of Princeton.
What?
They shoot well?
Yeah.
Is that it?
They're not huge.
They shoot well.
They play consistent defense.
They take care of the ball.
I think if you look at turnovers,
it's not really a stat I dialed in on,
but I bet they didn't have over 10.
Wow.
You don't want double-digit turnovers, obviously.
So no, they can't get to the final four.
I love to see it, though.
Except here's the thing.
I like a school that's an underdog,
but when it's a rich kid's school,
it makes me, it's back to eat.
even almost. An Ivy League school. Yeah. So it's like I'm always rooting. You know,
here's Prince in a 15 seed. They beat Arizona. I love that. I love 15 over two.
Boom. They're playing Missouri. Great. I don't care. I don't care about Missouri.
Those fans coming me all the time on Twitter and Instagram. I don't care. So good. You beat
them on a Cree. I see school. Beat them. But now it's like, we really want them to go far.
They're already blessed enough. Am I right? Yeah. Yeah. They're all rich and smart.
kids for the most part.
Yeah.
Smart and educated.
Yeah, they got everything.
You see none of them are on scholarship, you know,
because in the Ivy League they don't give the scholarships.
Oh, I didn't know that.
Yeah.
So it's like the first team.
Hey, because they don't need it.
They're all rich.
All rich and stuff.
So, you know what?
I'm still going to pull for them over Creighton.
After all that?
Yeah.
Okay.
I kind of hate...
Here's my problem.
And I'll be honest with you guys.
I universally hate rich people a little less now that I am rich.
Interesting.
But I only like rich people
that worked for their money.
That worked for it and didn't have it past it.
So I can't hate every Princeton kid
because at least one of them
probably had a parent that was self-made.
Yeah, yeah, but they weren't.
I don't know about that, Eddie.
No, no, no.
The guy in college plane?
Yeah.
I mean, he had a leg up.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You're right about that.
But what if he didn't know?
What if his parents aren't rich at all?
Some of those kids.
Then CBS needs to find him and do a little...
I agree with that.
Like the Olympics montage before they swim,
and they're like, well, look at her.
She came from this place
And she had all this struggle
But they're gonna have a hard time
Finding that one
They should be like
This is the one kid
That doesn't have a rich parent
He's like middle class
It's normal
Yeah
The outline
The one guy's like hey
He got a G-point he was 16
Instead of a Maserati
Hey so if you like Princeton
In this game
Do you take the money line
Or do you take the money line?
No I don't take the money line
Okay
And I will
We will talk about your situation
In a minute Eddie
Thank you
I would like to talk about that situation
Yeah
but I don't take the money line.
But I'm a gambler.
You're a conservativer.
I am.
I'm a gambler.
But I still wouldn't take the money line there.
Because, and I'm a gambler because...
You're not a gambler.
You're not a gambler.
You're a conservator.
Well, I'm a conservator because I only have $40.
And once my $40...
But it doesn't matter.
It's not about the dollars.
It's about the unit.
No, it does matter.
No, it doesn't matter.
Some people make money for betting $2.
I'm like, you guys have it wrong.
It's how many units you bet.
If you have $10 million in an account and you're betting...
One million.
No?
Follow me here.
If you have $10 million in an account and you're betting $60.
That's weak because that's not your unit.
Your unit's probably $50,000.
If my unit is usually $100, because I usually have, I've been pretty fortunate.
And I made some good money this weekend.
That's usually $100.
Now, if I bet $200, big.
But to somebody who's units $100,000, then you have to measure based on,
It's all relative to what you're playing with.
Not even how much money you have, it's what you're playing with.
When your unit is a dollar and you bet $5, that's like me betting $500 just based on how we gamble.
But you're a conservator just generally because any time I'm like, what should I do?
Should I cash out?
Or should I keep rolling?
Every time it's like, cash out every time.
I'm a conservator.
Right.
I like that about you.
Thank you.
Well, I'm a gambler, baby.
Sometimes I'll lose it all.
Ying and yang.
But I will take it.
I go.
I'll shoot.
the stars.
No, I don't think they make the final four.
I don't think they really have a shot.
I'd love to see it, though.
And then I don't love to see it
because it cancels out because they're rich,
but then I remember I don't be a hater.
There's probably at least one kid on there that deserves it.
So then I'm back to, let's win it.
Okay.
All right, next.
To this, we can prove that conference tournament championships
are overrated.
I don't think they're overrated.
But also, those games
are played a lot quicker, too, than this.
You win the game, you play the next day.
Then the next day.
At least here in this quick hitting tournament
You get a day off in between if you win
It's just a different animal
So I don't think conference tournaments are overrated
I like the week before the NCAA tournament
I think conference tournaments are super exciting
I think it goes the first weekend
My favorite
Conference tournaments
And then Sweet 16
Final 4 championship game
If I were rating
The most fun I have watching basketball
Those last two days of the conference tournaments are awesome
because you have teams fighting to get in the tournament
that would never get in a tournament.
Some of those mid-majors?
So, no, I don't think they're overrated,
but Purdue won theirs.
Duke won theirs and Marquette won theirs.
And you shouldn't take away from that.
But you know, some people just choke on the lights,
come on to eat a little brighter, you know what I mean?
It's hard to go undefeated, man.
And final one.
Speaking of Duke, after a convincing win versus Duke,
is Tennessee, now do you think
have a good shot, legit shot to make the final four?
Tennessee's real good, by the way.
Yeah, they are. I've watched them play myself.
They're real good. And Viscovy's awesome.
He could shoot. He'll play down and dirty. He'll play a three or a four.
He's got to play a four, he will.
Not really his natural position.
But that's the kind of kid you want on your team.
We're playing him. I hate him because he's all over the place.
But Tennessee's good.
They're playing FAU.
FAU's athletic, but man, I tell you what, FDU pushed FAU.
Yeah, they did.
We're watching that game.
It was getting pretty late.
I was like, dang, they may actually do this.
They pulled away at the end.
I'll say this, even more impressive was FAA beat Memphis.
That's a very athletic Memphis team.
Yes.
So, Tennessee beat Duke.
And if I remember correctly, because I was in the arena,
just watching it up on the jumbo screen
and then watching my phone occasionally when I could get service,
it doesn't seem like that was actually much of a game.
Am I wrong?
No, Tennessee was beating them up.
Okay, because we never got to watch that one live unless they cut in.
So Tennessee's going to play FAU.
I think they can win that.
And I think they can beat the winner of Kansas State and Michigan State.
So much different than the Princeton draw at this point,
I think Tennessee, if I were picking one of those four teams that's in the east,
Florida Atlantic, Tennessee, Kansas State, Michigan State,
I would pick Tennessee to make the final four there.
Wow.
The only issue I have with Tennessee is that Rick Barnes always finds a way to choke something that he shouldn't.
See, I think that's why.
they won't this year.
Because of that.
I think their draw is so...
I'm not going to say strong...
The FAU, they should win that game.
I do think that...
What's a spread on that one?
Because I feel like Tennessee...
I'm going to say it's four and a half.
I'm guessing four and a half on every one of them.
That's the same bet.
I'm going to say it's Tennessee minus four and a half.
Or FAU plus four and a half, whichever way it.
Five. Tennessee minus five.
Close.
So that's good.
Great.
What I'd put it at.
Kansas State, as they say,
those guys, they have the dog in them.
That point guard.
They have the dog. Can't say it has a dog in them.
Desi Seals also really good.
I just don't see Tennessee losing
unless somehow the free throws to end the game
are Rick Barnes shooting them.
He comes in, I'll take these boys.
Because you know he's going to miss them both if that's the case.
What I like about Tennessee is that Ziegler,
is that his name? Point guard. It goes out, right?
And so they have to make these adjustments.
And I think these teams really are like,
I don't know what to do here because usually they don't have a point guard.
They don't have a good ball handler.
So they kind of just take turns.
And when you do that, it throws defenses off.
And I think that's their advantage here.
You think it's an advantage that got worse?
That's an interesting concept.
I haven't heard that one.
Not that they got worse that they had to change things up and really just confused.
Well, they did get worse, though.
You lose.
For a bit.
For a bit, they got worse.
But I mean, you lose a really great player.
That's your point.
You do get worse.
No, I agree.
but you think getting worse makes you better.
I think getting worse makes you change things.
Makes you run offenses the way you normally wouldn't
and the way defenses would think that you'd have to.
Why not just have the center be the point guard?
Really screw them up.
Just do everything worse.
Then you'd be so good.
I've done that on 2K.
It works, man.
It throws everyone on.
See, why don't they do this?
See, here's the play that no one does
that I'm like, why does anyone do this?
And I talked to a couple coaches.
I have the absolute, let's say,
55 seconds left on the clock.
And it's not to the point where,
you're heaving threes,
but maybe you need to shoot a three
to get back in the game
or it's a one-point game.
I got the absolute play that works.
I've never seen a coach call it in his entire life.
Come on.
It's called the fake three-pointer.
So what a player does?
Everybody's trying to get open,
out on the perimeter,
hit him with the ball.
Everyone knows FP3 has been called.
FP3!
You may not call it that now
because I've said it here,
people don't know what it is.
So at this point,
just hold up the head of Malcolm in the middle,
and they'll know what it means.
So fake three-poena, F3P, fake 3-point-3.
Whatever.
It's okay.
I'm totally confused now.
It makes sense.
Imagine someone just shooting a three-pointer straight up,
knowing the entire time he's not really trying to make it.
He's shooting it a little short or a little long,
and it's the whole time in Allie-Upe.
But no one knows it.
Nobody in the defense knows it.
They're all waiting for the rebound on the three-point shot.
Everything about the shot is the three-pointer.
The jump, the release,
You hold your hand.
You do the circles like a three-pointer.
But everyone knows you're missing it on purpose.
The only person is really going to jump for that ball
that knows it's going to be short on purpose is the center.
And you go, shoot it,
and everyone's looking at it, ready to actually see it,
hit the rim and react and react to how, or the backboard.
Yeah, I see what you're saying.
But you know, I've never seen that called.
How is the fake three-pointer not utilized?
It's the greatest play I've ever thought of.
It's the first one.
But it's the greatest play I've ever thought of.
And you can run it over and over and over.
And they'll never know if you're actually shooting a three-pointer or not.
You do it twice.
They're even wondering if the real three-pointers are fake.
So they're jumping up during real three-pointers, and then you're getting rebound.
Talk about faking them out.
That's good stuff.
It's amazing.
I've never seen.
Now, if someone can call in, I'll be amazed because the phone lines aren't open.
Secondly, if someone tells me that this is a play, I won't believe it.
And thirdly, I think it's a greatest play ever invented.
Ever seen anything like it?
No.
No. I need to get muscle on the phone. Tell them.
No.
In private, in private.
That's a good play, though, right?
I need your arms around me.
I need to feel your touch.
Down, down, down, down.
A little cake for you.
All right, final one.
Going to the NFL here, after the Cowboys traded for Brandon Cooks, do you think,
are you surprised at the lack of the market for free agent, Odell Beckham?
No, I mean, I feel like he wants a whole lot of money for a whole lot of unproven.
not unproven as a career
but he wants a whole lot of money for a guy that
we don't know really how good his leg is
and he wants a whole lot of money
and has he been staying ready?
Like what's he been doing?
He had a workout.
He did have a workout and I think...
I had three last week so that's one more...
Well, no, you worked out.
He had a workout
that was different where teams come to...
Yeah, and I think like eight teams showed up.
I don't know the exact number, don't quote me on that part
but eight to ten teams showed up, I think, to watch.
And that was it.
I just think he wants too much money.
Yeah.
And so I do think there's interest.
Aaron Rogers wants him on the Jets.
Does he want everybody know?
He wants every single player.
Yeah.
Yeah.
He wants every.
It doesn't matter how old.
He wants the whole league.
Yes.
Okay.
So I think that's really a money issue.
I think if you could...
What's what?
20 million still?
Is that the word?
He came out and said no over the weekend.
Oh, now he's disputing what...
Yeah.
What reports are saying.
But they said it for a long time and he never came out and said no.
Yeah.
So maybe what he's doing is lowering his...
his price without saying he's lowering his price because that would actually be embarrassing.
So he's going, that's not true.
But he could probably get to 20 with incentives.
He's just not going to get 20 guaranteed.
No way.
He's been hurt twice now, right?
Yeah.
Like two. Okay.
It's a money issue.
I still think he's probably got a good season and a half in the tank.
I don't think he's a number one.
I think he's a really good number two.
And it's going to be hard to pay a really good number two,
$17 to $20 million guaranteed.
What do you think about that?
Yeah, I don't think there's any way you can pay them that.
I mean, I was thinking like more in a little bit more than say
Ju-Ju got with the Patriots said like 15 million, 12 to 15.
Okay, I can go 12.
It ain't my money, so I go 100, who cares?
Even I think that 15 would be too much.
Yeah, I think you have to incentivize this deal.
Yeah.
Give them 12 with the option to make 20.
And the first tweet coming out is Odell Beckham Jr.
makes $20 million a year.
It's like when Daniel Jones got $40 million a year.
But then you realize that all the money up front guaranteed.
In the end, he's getting $40 million a year for two years, not for four,
and they can actually cut him.
Yeah.
That's it.
Tiltile over.
Okay.
Do you guys want to do the 25 whistles parlay together?
Yes.
The problem is, weren't it?
Suicide League together?
Yeah, I don't know if I want to do this now.
And it's very lucrative if we win this thing.
It's win or take all.
Unless there's like down to two or three and you can split it.
they give you that option.
I like that.
If everybody agrees.
I like that,
but my wife's already thinking
about getting a minivan.
She shouldn't because when it's,
we get to that later.
I know,
but I'm just saying what she's thinking.
Do you guys have your
six-digit authentication set up
on your Drive Kings?
Yes.
Where every time you get it
you got to put your text in?
Yes.
I get it for security reasons
and I think it's a great thing to do
but I'm already annoyed by it.
Mine is just a face.
Might I do face,
then six-digit authentication.
See, is it for security?
And then I pee on it.
You do?
It senses your pee?
It knows.
It knows.
Is it for security like cyber and I'm a hacker reason or is it for like hey
make sure you're ready to gamble?
No, not that one.
Okay, all right.
Not that one.
Because I was thinking like, ooh, this is taking too long.
Maybe it's a sign.
Okay, let's look it out.
Do you have all the spreads over there?
Because I have them up on my phone here, but we can do, we can roll it.
Here we go.
Michigan State and Kansas State.
Kansas State's a two point underdog.
So Michigan State minus, Michigan State minus two, Kansas State.
Oh, wow.
I don't believe in Michigan State.
Hold on.
Oh, where's you're going to talk through them?
Dang.
We're just going to talk through them here.
Just a reminder of 25 whistles presented by Draft King's sportsbook.
An official.
Official sports bunny partner of me.
Bobby Bones.
Download the draft king's app.
Use the code Bobby Sports to get it on the action.
So we're going to do the 25 whistles parlay right here.
Arkansas plus three and a half versus Yukon.
So Yukon opens up the favorite there.
Tennessee minus five.
Playing Florida Atlantic.
UCLA minus two.
Playing Gonzaga.
Alabama minus eight.
San Diego State.
Houston minus seven, Miami.
Creighton minus 10.
Princeton.
Texas minus four, Xavier.
Boy, I'm going to tell you
none of those step up and scream,
you must bet me.
Nope, none of them.
And I thought they would all be a lot closer than this.
Oh, yeah, Eddie, you're way wrong about all I'm being close.
I've been wrong a lot this.
No, but I thought you had seen them.
I hadn't seen them at all.
Oh, got it.
If I'd seen him, I wouldn't have said that.
Then you speculated incorrectly more than you were wrong.
That's fine.
That's easier.
What do you like there, bones?
I'm just going to make mine here.
You guys can fight with it if you want.
I like the Michigan State Money Line.
Oh my gosh.
Exactly the opposite of what I said.
Is that what you said?
Is that what you said?
So it's Michigan State Money Line.
So it's Michigan State minus two, but I'm going to do the money lines.
I'm going to add that one here.
Okay.
The Tennessee, Florida Atlantic.
I just feel like Tennessee is going to win that game.
By five.
But it's five.
I wonder if I throw the money line on this one too, what the odds go to.
Okay.
I'm going to go Tennessee money line.
Gonzaga plus two, UCLA minus two.
I don't, I'm not going to touch that game.
Yeah, I don't like that one.
I'm not touching the Arkansas-Ucon game either.
Why not?
I'll tell you later on the show.
Okay.
It's nothing crazy
Okay
Let's say I add Alabama money line to
To San Diego State
I'm just trying to see the odds here as well
And then let's say
And then I'm going to go Texas money line
So we're going to all money line plays here
Did you pick
Did you touch the Houston game?
No
You don't want to touch the Houston game
If you bet 25 bucks it makes $1.15
That's pretty good
On those four money line bets
So that's what we're going to do
I'm going to bet it right now
I put 100 to make 460.
Did I make more money last night?
What bet did I win last night?
Zaga, did you bet on that?
Yukon plus one and a half.
Our parlay did hit last time.
Yeah.
From over the weekend.
And then I hit a different parlay too.
Oh, look at that.
I did.
Okay, it doesn't matter.
Okay, look.
So there you go.
That's it.
Mike.
Do you have it, Mike?
I got it.
Say it.
It is Michigan State Money Line, Tennessee Money Line,
Alabama Money Line, Texas Money Line.
All right, go catch your smiles.
It's another.
It's another. I feel good about you having some smiles.
There you go.

okay
I got the bracket here
I'm looking at it
we got Louisville
New York City
Kansas City
we got Vegas
I'm going to Vegas
it's awesome
love it
they need you there
I wish it were in Louisville
well sure
because I could drive there and back
I wish it would have been in Birmingham
the first round
could drive there and back
it's never easy
Kansas City would have been easier
heck they all would have been easier
heck they all would have been easier
for me to get to
just distance wise
it's always hard
That's what she said.
All right.
Let's go first.
I got five stories.
We're going to roll through them here.
Number one, let's talk NCAA tournament
in the biggest upsets.
Fairley Dickinson over number one, Purdue.
A win is a win.
A win is a win.
I don't care what I'm saying.
Yep, that's me.
Clifford Taylor the 4th.

The 2026 NFL draft is here and the NFL Daily podcast has it covered from all angles.
Join me, Greg Rosenthal, and Jordan Roderig after night one on Thursday.
Nick Shook joins me night two Friday and then.
Sunday to recap everything that went down over the three days in Pittsburgh.
We'll tell you who won the draft and which players were my favorite picks.
Listen to NFL Daily with Greg Rosenthal on the free IHeart Radio app.
Open the app, search NFL Daily, and listen now.
I'm John Green.
You may know me as the author of The Fultonar Stars, and now I guess also as the co-host of the away end, a brand new world soccer podcast.
I'm Daniel Alarcon, a writer and journalist, and John and I have known each other since we.
were kids. My first World Cup was Mexico 86. I was nine years old. I watched every game and I fell in love.
On our new podcast, The Away End, we'll share with you the magic of international football, all leading up to the 2026 World Cup.
For us, soccer, football, is a story we've shared for over 30 years since Daniel was the star player on our high school soccer team.
Very debatable. And I was their most loyal and sometimes only fan. I love this game. I love its history, it's hope,
its heartbreak, and above all, it's beauty.
Together, we'll find out why, of all the unimportant things, football, soccer, is the most important.
Listen to the away end with Daniel Auer Kohn and John Green on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Love it. Coach Tobin. I'm a fan.
He said, I've seen Purdue. I think we can beat him.
The more I watch Purdue, the more I think we can beat that.
Didn't even know it's going to blow up like that.
He said, I met up for a certain amount of people.
It went to every amount of people.
And I bet he was regretting it when that happened.
But, man, it made him look like a genius.
I love it.
Love it.
So they beat Purdue, 63 to 58.
This is on the first day.
I don't know what to say, except it was an awesome game.
I wish they would have kept winning,
except for we had him picked on our suicide.
Correct.
I wonder if he gets a job out of this.
I mean, he's got to get something, right?
Like, that's what we were talking about as a family.
Well, they only won one game, to be fair.
Yeah, but still, I mean,
Usually if they make a run, which like sweet 16 and on, you get these guys like Shocka Smart.
You get these, you could go down the list there.
That's where they, although not good for him.
Marquette bailing out as a two.
Yikes.
So I don't think a 16 gets him one of these really good jobs.
He could move up and actually go to like a more powerful mid-major.
But I don't think this one win gets him a big job opening up in a power six.
Not yet.
Baby steps.
It was fun, that wasn't it.
That was a good game.
Princeton beat Arizona.
That was a 15 and a 2.
That was pretty cool to see.
59 to 55.
And then Princeton went on to beat Missouri, 78, 63.
Prince is only the fourth 15 seed to reach sweet 16.
So I have a friend that went to Princeton.
Really?
Yeah.
He's in our Calcutta League.
Trying to think who that could be.
And he did not go to the first game because he had to work.
Got it.
He went to Princeton?
Who?
are you talking about?
Klug?
Yeah.
No.
Oh, who?
Kevin Klug?
Okay, he couldn't go to the first game.
No, it wasn't with me.
Did the Princeton game.
Oh, I thought to the Arkansas game.
No, I was like, Klug went to Princeton?
And then he went up and went to the second Princeton game.
He was texting me because he was watching the Arkansas game because it was on right before the Princeton game.
And he was like, I can't believe you guys are going to win.
And then when his game happened, I forgot to text him because I was so excited about mine.
It's very unfair.
It's very unfair.
Very one side of friendship, for sure.
Yeah, for sure.
So, and then Ferman beat Virginia, also day one.
Pretty cool to see.
I enjoyed that.
We hit our parlay last week, as I knew we would.
Of course.
Kansas minus 22 versus Howard, Arkansas money line over Illinois,
and Kentucky money line over Providence.
So feeling pretty good.
Everybody bet it?
Yes.
Did you bet it?
I did.
I did bet, dude, dude, how do you think I made money?
Like, I was hitting everything.
The high seeds left.
Alabama taking on number five seat San Diego State
Kansas State
highest remaining seat over there
takes on number seven seed Michigan State
Michigan State looks pretty good
They do
Kansas State they are gritty though man
They are gritty
Houston takes on Miami who wasn't supposed to be good
They just keep winning
I did not watch the end of the Miami-Indiana game
because I felt like it was over at halftime
Yeah Indiana tried to make a little run
But I don't think they got closer than seven
And also I don't care about either one of those schools
so I never even flipped it over there.
I feel like Miami's coach is very, very, very old.
And I feel like they depend on one player.
But man, they're good.
UCLA, highest remaining seat over in the West.
They're taking on in Zaga.
That's a real one.
That's going to be a fun one.
Yeah, that's a real one over there.
So that's what's up.
I have the odds to win the whole tournament.
Who do you think that favorite is?
Bama.
You already know?
Yeah.
Bama, then Houston.
Yukon at 3.
I like it.
You need to stop rooting for.
Yukon right now. I know you have them in your little crap bracket.
You know what? I know you have... When I said that I realized
you have a little crap bracket. I don't give a crap about
your little bracket with Lunchbox. They're like,
he's like, I really need Yukon to win.
If that's more important to you to win...
Dang, dude. You can't take them any more games.
No. Yeah. No more games.
Hey, hey, that's just a bracket. That's your crap bracket.
Stupid bracket, dude. Don't worry about that.
So dumb. The thing is, if Arkansas wins the game,
everybody's eliminated from over there. It doesn't matter.
It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter.
No, but I have them in the championship.
That's a big deal.
Yeah, it doesn't matter.
But that's just a crap bracket.
That's a crap bracket.
Don't worry about that, dude.
UCLA at 4.
I'm surprised Texas is at plus 1,000 right now.
Gonzaga, Creton, Texas is all at plus 1,000.
Yeah, I feel like Texas is a little different than Cretton and Gonzaga, right?
I think Texas is a little different than Connecticut and UCLA.
Yeah.
Where is Xavier in this?
I'm about to get there. Tennessee at 6 plus 1,500.
Michigan State at 7 plus 2,500.
Kansas State plus 2,900.
Now get this. Kansas State is the favorite over Michigan State,
but they have worse odds doing the whole thing.
So what does that mean?
Don't know. I haven't thought about it that much.
Xavier's at 9, a plus 3,000.
Oh my gosh, that's your flyer.
Now 10th at plus 3,900, San Diego State and Arkansas.
Arkansas is your flyer.
Yeah, you do both of them.
They're so athletic.
It gets in our...
We're so young.
We're so young.
We have three, five-star freshman kids
that we're depending on.
But we're so athletic
that if we just happen to shoot
over 75% free throws,
we could be anybody.
What is Nick Smith Jr.'s deal?
Why didn't he get a lot of minutes?
Has he hurt?
Well, no, he just want to play that well.
Yes, he's like naggy,
but not bad hurt.
He came back into the game and played defense.
Shut him down when Deva Davis went out.
Yeah, they had to play them.
I don't think they wanted to.
Well, they have other people.
well, they could have played if they needed to.
Sure.
But if he was hurt, they wouldn't have put him back out there.
Well, that's what the announcers were saying.
I don't really want to put him in, but they're going to do it.
He had zero points.
Didn't really, I mean, Devo took over.
Yeah, yeah.
But Arkansas's 10th, Florida Atlantic 11th, Miami,
and Princeton is dead last in the old voters at plus 20,000.
Ooh.
I've got, I made some future bets on Arkansas.
Early on the season?
Yeah.
Man, if they, oh, my God.
I'd give up the future bets.
I give up everything.
if they win the championship.
I give up you guys.
Really?
Yeah.
I'd never,
I'd have you guys
erased from my memory
in exchange
because I wouldn't even know
if they'd race for my memory
I wouldn't know what I was missing.
You get a turn of sunshine?
Yeah, I'd have a champion.
No, not you, Mike, you stay.
Oh, thank you.
I need you.
Just Mike?
Yeah, I need Mike.
Dang.
Let me look at here.
Look at my futures here.
Open.
Let's go to the bottom.
Arkansas
to win the NCAA tournament
at the beginning of the year
is 50 to pay 800.
Okay, not crazy.
We had pretty good.
Everybody was still not injured at the beginning of the year.
Then it became, oh, I haven't to make the final four.
50 to make 300.
Arkansas, 50 to make 3,050 if they win the tournament.
Arkansas 100 to make 6,100.
This is like bets that you placed through the year.
I can see a trend here happening.
No, not more confident.
No, not more confidence. I would win a bunch of money and put more on there.
wager 20 bucks to win 1,100 if Arkansas wins NCAA tournament.
Dang.
I have an Alabama future.
Is there a cash option in any of those?
They're way low.
That's it.
But I'm looking to make 10K cool.
What's your Bama future there?
Is that insurance?
No, if I make a whole bunch of money on a bet, I'll put some back in on a future bet.
So my Bama bet is Alabama plus $450 to win the winner.
50 bucks to pay 275.
Yeah, that's it.
Nothing crazy, crazy.
All right, so there you go.
That's topic number one, the NCAA tournament,
and who's left and how much?
Boom.
Done.
Scoring leaders from the weekend.
Yukon.
Man, that Sonogo kid,
did I say his name?
Yeah.
I watched him last night.
I was watching the Yukon, St. Mary's game,
just see who we play next.
Tough.
just gone
24 points last night
over the two games
52 points 21 rebounds and two wins
Drew Timmy
became the seventh player to score
at least 20 points
in nine NCAA tournament games
I mean and he had a birthday
is 43
so
that's what my wife said
I was watching the game
and he goes he still plays
his mustache is great now
it looks like you put his face
in one of those filters
but it's just him through the years
it literally is yeah
Kansas State
they're a point guard.
Noel.
Stud.
Awesome.
I mean, 27 points,
nine assists.
Best player.
You can look.
It usually picks someone out
that's just heads and shoulders above.
I mean, he's killing them.
I think that's pretty much it
as far as people I had pulled
big time scores.
Let's go to this.
Cowboys trade for Brandon Cooks.
Love it.
How'd you feel about that?
I loved it.
I mean, it's great.
Yeah, I mean, we stressed all years.
year with just, you know, C.D. Lamb. And so the fact that Brandon Cooks is there with C.D.
Lamb, Michael Gallup, we got, I mean, we got a receiving court here. Dax got options.
The Cowboys were 13th in the NFL last year with 219 passing yards, 28 touchdowns, 18 interceptions
between Daggments. Don't forget Rush. Cooper. It's not from back Cooper. Hurry, hurry,
lover, come to me. Hey, he's coming back. They re-signed Cooper. Yeah, to do what?
Just to hang for a little bit. Here we go. Lamb at one, Cooks at two, Gallup at three,
depending on health.
And who's their fourth receiver you think, Eddie?
Noah Brown?
Turbin.
Oh, no.
Noah left.
He went to Houston.
Oh, that's right.
Was that part of the trade?
No.
Okay.
But Cook's won it out of Texas last year.
Yeah.
With the Texans.
Yeah.
Midseason.
He was like, let me out of here.
And they wouldn't.
And so now he's going to the Cowboys.
It's pretty cool.
You know Dalton Schultz's a free agent?
Yes, and saw that.
But we also have four other tight ends.
Yeah, but you don't have Dalton Shultz.
I agree.
I agree.
But we got four of the dudes.
Here's Cook's 20-22 season.
Cooks had 57 catches, 700 yards, three touchdowns with Davis Mills, a quarterback.
If you were to put Dak Prescott there, 80 catches, 1,100 yards, five touchdowns,
and probably 83 interceptions thrown his way with the other team picked off.
And two chokes.
I didn't know we were doing a stand-up today.
And two chokes.
Hey, um, Dak, does Dak have one year?
What are you thinking, like, as far as Cowboys?
He has to win next year.
When what? Win what?
NFC championship.
He has to get the NFC championship.
That's such that's pressure and that you know like it sucks for him because that's even more pressure than he's felt
When you have something telling you like hey when this why's pressure bad first of all you work to get pressure
Like it's an honor to get pressure I agree some people definitely don't agree because you know I don't know I do
Your name is cookie for a reason because you crumble when there's pressure
I'm not talking about my pressure yeah talking about quarterbacks you're saying you agree that it's good for other people to but not for yourself
No I'm not talking about me I'm not a quarterback I'm talking about tom Brady loved pressure right
Not every human's the same, though.
Exactly, that's my point.
Dak Prescott, not good under pressure.
Cookie?
He's a cookie crumbler.
Yes, he's a cookie.
I think if they don't get to the NFC championship,
you're going to see a new coach
and you're going to see a new quarterback.
No, boy, start all over.
What do you want to do?
He's had, what, seven, eight years now?
He's been around a while now.
Seven years? Has it been seven years?
Has it been seven years?
I don't feel like that.
Dang.
15, 16.
Third story.
NCE AA tournament, Calcutta, remaining.
is us. We got two. I got one. You got one. We got two. I got nothing left. Oh, Calcutta's different.
Calcutta. I have three teams left. You do? Yeah. I have Texas, Arkansas, and Michigan State.
Not to bring back source subjects, but what are the ones you lost? You lost some big ones early.
Yeah, I lost Purdue because they're stupid and ugly. I lost Virginia because they're stupid and ugly.
And then I think Reed lost one early, right? Oh, Reed lost a bad one. What'd you lose?
Mine are all out. Princeton took both of my teams out.
How sad he sounds.
Ivy League boys.
So who are your teams?
Arizona and Missouri.
A win is a win.
A win is a win.
I don't care what you're saying.
Yep, that's me.

For us, soccer, football, is a story we've shared for over 30 years since Daniel was the star player on our high school soccer team.
Very debatable.
And I was their most loyal and sometimes only fan.
I love this game.

football, soccer is the most important.

And how much were you in financially?
It was, so it was like $1.70 for Arizona, and then it was like 54 from Missouri.
So like $2.30?
Yeah.
And then you split that with your roommate?
Yeah, yeah.
But didn't you, did you get the worst loss after?
I did.
I got 50 bucks because I don't even get that.
Yeah, so the thing was, when Arizona lost the first round,
he was like, at least we'll get the 50 bucks bonus for having the worst loss.
That's right.
And then Purdue comes in and loses, and he's like, I don't even get that.
Oh, man.
So, yeah, Calcutta remaining.
I got three in.
Eddie lost all of his.
Yeah, I had North Carolina State.
They were terrible.
Kevin never showed up.
Yeah, I was at dinner.
Hey, you know what?
After that, I wish that was at dinner.
Yeah.
You guys, you should be ashamed of yourself.
Well, I gave it a shot.
Not you.
Oh, okay.
I should.
I know.
And you should be ashamed yourself, too.
I don't know why yet.
I just picked two bad teams.
NFL free agency.
Aaron Rogers still stand still.
They're trying to trade pieces.
Trying to forget his contract.
The Jets are worried about his commitment after saying he might retire in the last few years.
And so let's say they trade him and they give a first round pick, but then he retires after next year.
And you can't actually make somebody promise not to retire.
At least you can't make them write it down.
You can't say like, I promise I won't quit.
Can't do it on a napkin or anything?
You can't.
That's not part of a contract.
So I think it's just him saying something
And then you trusting him
Which I would never do with Aaron Rogers
I wouldn't trust that dude
He's crap
He's gonna have to go walk back in a dark hole
And figure it out again every year
He's got ponytail
He don't trust to do with the ponytail
Uh C.J Gardner Johnson went to the Lions
On a one-year deal big for them
Cowboys traitor for Brandon Cook
Which we talked about
For a fifth and six round pick
August Sacki went to the Patriots
on a one-year deal
I thought you're weird to me
Because exactly I thought he had a good year
Last year with Miami
Same with Gardner Johnson
I'm like, what?
Why would Guseki go for one year?
Approve it, as I say.
But he doesn't need to prove it.
He had a down year to his standards or his numbers
compared to his other years, but...
Adam Thielen got released and went to Carolina for a three-year deal.
Larry Tunsel becomes the highest paid offensive tackle with a three-year extension.
Remember when Tunsel had the weed mask on?
Oh, yeah.
Smoking it from a mask.
On the Super Bowl next year, the Kansas Chiefs are other favorites.
At plus 600 right now.
Who's second, Eddie?
Bill's.
Third.
Four diners.
Yeah.
Chiefs, Niners,
bills, Eagles, bangles.
Boom.
Let's do this.

I don't know.
I'm nervous by going out to Vegas.
Just because I'm nervous at the game anyway.
My shoes are 5-0 now.
They were 4-0.
I was nervous about wearing it versus Kansas
because, you know,
nobody picked us to win that one.
But you're not superstitious.
I'm not superstitious.
I do it just in case.
So I'm going to wear them.
Do you think your shoes have a play in this game?
No, because I'm not superstitious.
Right, but they're 5'0.
Those specific shoes are 5 and 0.
The shoes have a record now.
Yeah, but the problem is I've never worn on the back-to-back games.
Oh, you didn't wear those to the SEC tournament?
I did not.
Okay.
What made you not wear those that day?
See, this is important.
That you wake up and say...
Well, hold on a minute. I did wear them, though, to both NCAA tournament games.
But you lost one.
No, no, no, no, I'm talking about the essence.
So I guess I'm wrong on that because until that game, I did not wear them.
But the white, because they're just pure red.
I don't like walking around on those shoes.
They're off whites.
People step on them when you're going to concession stand.
The brand's off white?
Yeah.
Okay.
Or the color's off white.
No, no, the brand.
Okay.
You always confuse me when you say that.
Yeah.
Well, they're off whites.
I would never call a color off white that I see.
Because off white's like a little dirty white.
Yeah, but I would never call something an off white.
I would say gray, dirty.
Yeah.
Off white's a brand.
I figured that out recently.
So I guess I'll go and roll in them.
We're going.
The game's Thursday at like 6 p.m., right?
Ooh, yeah, 6-10 or something, 615.
I hit up my buddy who coaches UNLV football.
I'm going to go work out in the football complex.
I saw you.
Awesome.
I saw you send the message out, but I didn't see a response.
They finally got back to you?
Oh, yeah, I was going to go anyway.
I just don't throw him a little shout out.
I just thrown a little shout out.
You got to bring that helmet back.
I know.
Oh, yeah.
Good call, Mike.
I'm sure coach I don't be up there, but that's a weird thing to ask.
You promised me on my podcast eight months ago.
You gave me a helmet.
Get the audio from Mike just in case he asked and you play it.
Listen to this coach.
You said the following.
So I'm going to go, it's just it's nerve-wracking.
I'm nervous already.
But I tell you, I've never had a more fun and game experience than what I had at that last beat the returning champion,
beat the team that's two weeks out, the number one team in the whole country,
beat the team that's got a gymnasium full of fans.
75% the whole place.
It's crazy.
We won that game.
Hey Mike,
will you play me?
This is from my Instagram.
You don't have to play all of it.
Go ahead.
You hear the people around me going,
oh my God.
It's like the universal thing.
Olive's like,
oh my God.
My buddy Quinn,
who was on this show,
about two minutes left in the game,
we're going back and forth.
He takes his big ring off.
He goes, I put this in my pocket.
I say, why?
You can get jumped?
He goes, no.
I plan.
I give him a lot of high fives.
I don't want to hurt anybody's hands.
I was like,
you think we're going to win this?
And I'm just conditioned to think we're not.
He goes, yeah, we're about to win this thing.
And I'm like, all right, man.
At one point, I was so happy I took my shirt over my head, like in soccer,
and pulled it all the way over my head and was like grinding on Caitlin.
And she was like, so you have to stop this.
I know you have, this is not, this is not the time for that.
But it is the time for that.
It was the time for that.
It was the perfect time for that.
Except probably not there.
Okay.
I was bare chested.
I was like coach musing it.
Love it.
Which, by the way, a little insight on must taking a shirt off.
That's been a thing for a long time that the players asked him to do a long time ago.
and it's basically a bet.
He'll only do it once a year
if they lose the bet.
Basically,
if they're like,
this is our game
and if we win this one,
you have to take your shirt off.
They get one shot a year.
Really?
Yeah.
So you didn't know that,
did you know that?
Oh,
did you know that?
No,
I didn't,
but I didn't care
that he was taking his shirt off.
Also, I don't care either.
But you read online
and people are just like,
that's so classless.
I'm like,
what are you talking about?
Like, your coach probably can't do it
because he's big and, like,
you know, chubby.
You didn't see if you abs.
It's if you have them.
Must is not chubby.
He's like in his 50s, that's right.
Also, who cares you're having fun?
I want to care if any...
Exactly.
Yeah.
You guys are just haters because we won.
So dumb, man.
Leave him alone.
But also, no, it's a thing.
It's been a thing for four years at this point.
I didn't know that.
Yeah, and so also the thing is that
everybody else sucks, so suck it.
That is a thing.
Yeah, about that thing.
And other coaches, they're all yelling the C-word and the F-word and cursing people out on the court.
But must shows a little nip.
All of a sudden, you guys are going to get all...
Get over it.
You want your coach to be like that.
He's beloved.
I mean, yeah, I would too.
Just because he's so high energy all the time.
It's amazing.
The bus bus.
So high energy all the time.
And, you know, oh, this is what I was going to tell you from earlier.
Why I'm not even talking about the Razorbite game betting this.
I think because I do this show and I'm with Draft Kings,
the people are a little scared to tell me stuff now.
And I understand it.
Oh, I got what you're saying.
Just like people in the basketball program,
which I never would use anything.
You are connected now to gambling.
But it's legal.
Correct.
But because I am close to
and semi close to certain individuals in the program,
I get it.
So I just won't mention it for now
for the next couple weeks,
but I'll be back.
But I would never use anything
that I learned.
there here. That would just be like insider trading. You're smarter than that. Of course.
So I only will ever pick them too if I don't know anything about it. Does that make sense?
Yes. Mm-hmm. So I did bet Arkansas down nine in that game. I bet the money line in Arkansas like plus 800.
Amazing. But like 100 bucks won basically what, 900? Awesome. Something like that. I mean, I don't know the data, but I bet you're probably the only one that did that.
Oh, it's awesome.
Probably the only person that made that bet. It was awesome.
Reed, do you make any stupid best lately or no?
No, no betting at all.
Good for you.
I did put $3,000 back in my checking account.
Oh, that's nice.
I started with $500, like $520.
And I still have some, but I took $3,000, my winning took $3,000 out and put in the account.
Send a little screenshot over.
I was pretty proud of myself for putting it back in and not gambling with it.
Good for you, man.
Thank you.
I tried to do that this weekend.
It's because, like, I'd started with $40, obviously, like two weeks ago.
And I, on Saturday, my account was almost $400.
was like $389 or something.
And I'm like, this is crazy.
And I start looking at Calcutta.
I've already lost teams.
I'm going to owe money for that.
My square of my brackets.
I'm going to owe money for that.
So I started like, I should probably cash out what I owe for all that stuff and now just play
with house money.
But I didn't.
And came Sunday, I lost a lot of my money.
I'm down $150.
So now I'm stressing to pay all that other stuff.
But you're not down.
I'm not.
But I mean, I really could have just paid off my stuff.
Well, you could have would have should have.
You can't do that in gambling.
what do you mean?
You know what you're getting itself into?
Yeah, and you still are up, so you should take some out immediately, take some of it out.
And I didn't.
Well, it's like when Eddie was winning, who was you, you text me on?
Oh, do you?
Fairly Dickinson, man.
He was like, hey, what should I?
He sent me a screenshot.
What should I do cash out?
And it was like, he bet $10 you had made, what, $150?
Here's what happened.
Go ahead.
So I meant to put out another bet.
Like, I swear I had another bet on there, and I put $10 on the bet, and it wasn't a risky bet.
And when I hit submit, it said, confirmed, you have now bet $10.
for Fairley Dickinson to win plus 1,800.
So $10 to win $190.
I'm like, oh my gosh, this is so dumb.
That's the dumbest $10 I've ever spent.
But I was up.
So I'm like, yeah, just let it roll, whatever.
So then, you know, I have what, like five minutes in the game, Bones,
five minutes left in the game?
I text Bones, I'm like, bones, what do I do?
Like, I can win 190 bucks or they're offering me to cash out for 50.
What do I do?
So Eddie is a conservator?
We've already said that.
And I said I would cash out and then take a little more of it
put it back in. That way you win regardless.
So even if they were to lose that game, which it looked like they were going to lose that game.
Yeah. And the announcers were saying, this has only happened one time before in college basketball history.
I'm like, well, what are the chances going to happen again?
So I said, pull the money. So take your 50 and then put some more back on the money line.
So at least you won some money. And so you took the money out, but you didn't put it back on the
money line. I didn't. I did it back on the plus seven or whatever.
He took the point. But still, he made decent amount of money.
I didn't lose.
No, you actually won a decent amount.
I did want some good money.
I just didn't win the 190.
Right.
But if you're having to ask somebody, you're scared.
Yeah.
I was scared.
Yeah.
Scared money don't make money.
So make money scared before scared money.
Do you really think that how you feel about the bet influences the bet?
Me or you?
Every bet I make is scared bet.
You give so many bad bets.
Yesterday it was like, I don't bet any of these games because none of them are going to happen like you're saying.
Almost every one of them was wrong.
I'll come on.
here and admit I was wrong on two picks.
Yes, I was wrong. Well, we were listening to all of them and you were like,
I don't like any of those lines. I betting against all of them.
Hey, I told you, Coach Tobin scares me.
And he made that game scary.
There's no, okay, look.
I'm going to say this, Eddie. I still
stand by what I told you to do
because you were a conservative player and I didn't want you to lose
all your money. Could have won one-nighty.
Could it would have shoulda.
That's just crazy. Every single
time, because the last time this happened
to me, it was a six-game parlay
and I had five games won
and I asked my wife,
oh my gosh,
they're offering me $100 or I can win $500.
What do I do?
She's like, it's just $10.
Just let it ride.
But it's not just $10.
It's 100.
I know, but in her eye,
is she,
and then what happened?
And then, you know,
I didn't do anything and I lost.
Yeah.
I didn't hit the six game.
I just feel like I've been in this,
so many of these situations,
and I never get the,
the situation where I win all the money.
Never.
Because you don't,
you don't stick in it
enough. And like you said, I'm scared. You are bailing out of a lot of things where I lose a lot
sticking in there, but also win a lot. So it's like, you know, it's do or die. It's polar.
Big ones. I'm a gambler. I'm a conservator. That's right. But we need one another. And neither are
right. Neither are wrong. Finally, through four days, four games, we have, I have two teams left.
One of them is our split team with you guys in the suicide pool. So you lost one of your teams?
Yeah, but it wasn't yesterday's day before
Okay
I hedge early
So I don't lose everybody at once
Which is a bit conservator in the early rounds of this
But we have
I'm looking at things here
They're like 1500 people in it
And now we are down to
186
Let's go
That's amazing
For six figures
Oh my gosh
Now you have to win it
So it's still a 1 in 186 chance
I guess two
Now do have to be the last
A win is a win
A win is a win.
I don't care what I'm saying.
Yep, that's me, Clifford Taylor the 4th.

Is people standing or go all the way?
No, you can't go all. You won't go all the way.
Last person's standing.
So last person's standing.
What do you mean we won't go all the way?
How far do you think that this will go?
The final four?
Well, I think sometimes people will just run out of teams.
They'll never lose.
But if you run out of teams, you also lose.
I know.
Yeah.
And that's why I was trying to tell you guys, you know?
You don't want to conserve on certain places.
Yeah, but if you get cute early, like you saw here,
people went home.
Definitely don't want to get cute.
I mean, guys, just so you understand,
you know that I'm just talking it out, right?
No, because you were like, I go with Baylor.
I'd hear of my two picks, Baylor and Marquette.
You know who lost?
Baylor and Marquette.
I said, my first pick is Xavier to win.
Eddie's like, don't want to touch Xavier.
Don't touch it.
You know what they did?
They won.
By a lot, too, I think.
This next game, you guys want to talk about it here?
In our pick, we have Tennessee, Michigan State, UCLA,
Kansas State, and Arkansas.
I already like my pick.
are you talking about it?
I know, I'm talking it out, guys.
It's what we do when we're a team.
We talk it out.
Go ahead.
Tennessee.
That was my pick to.
Yeah, and I have Tennessee picked.
It's the first time that's happened, boys.
And my individual as well.
Oh, then you don't want Tennessee and ours then.
No, I'm good.
No, we're a team here.
So Tennessee wins.
I guess the only issue would be,
I think Tennessee's going to win that game.
And then they get to play Kansas State or Michigan State.
So if we could actually pick another team that slid by,
we'd still have Tennessee in that other game.
Are you getting cute right now?
It's time to get cute.
It's time to get lightly cute, but I'm going to put Tennessee in just for now.
Okay.
I like that.
I like that you're strategizing more than we just have to live another day.
And so I'm going to go to day six.
Okay, day six isn't up yet.
Okay.
But day five, there we go.
We can change it if we want, but you've got Tennessee, right guys?
Yes.
Yep.
So that leaves us after this is over with only four teams.
If we survive.
Oh my gosh.
Michigan State.
UCLA, Kansas State, and Arkansas.
Guys, I'm going to get my life a minivan.
Because, well, listen to this, though.
If Tennessee wins and we move on,
one of those teams, Kansas State and Michigan is going to be eliminated.
So let's just say it's Kansas State left.
I think Kansas State's got to play Tennessee,
so we either got to pick them.
Then we have UCLA and Arkansas,
but they're going to have to play each other if they both win.
And then once we get, hey, once we get,
get further down the line, how do the games play out? Do we do,
hold on, I got to look at the bracket. Do we do
Midwest and West? Like say the
like the Final Four. So we do one game a day, right? So those will be
like different days? I don't think we won't get there. You don't think we'll get to
Final Four? I don't think we need everybody to die. I don't think we're going to get
to Final Four. I mean, think who's going to be in the Final Four of this group? If Tennessee
makes it, we can't use them again.
again.
We haven't used Alabama either.
Yes, we have.
No, we have, have we?
Yes, we have.
I don't think we have. Not in ours.
Yes, we have. Do you want to bet?
Yes.
Not in ours. I know 100% I've been saving them in my back pocket.
Kansas Duke, day one.
Yep.
Day two.
You got to say I'm sorry. If this is right, you got to say I'm sorry, Eddie.
No, no, no. I'm talking about the first day.
Oh, I knew it.
No, no.
I'm talking about we haven't used Alabama at all.
But again, each day is going to be separate.
Yeah.
Until the final four.
So you have day one and day two
So Alabama's not have an option for us
They don't exist
They're not on this world
So we have to get through this day
Though to make it to the next day
I know
Of the whole different
I'm just saying they're still available
We haven't used them yet
But again we're not even gonna
Yes
But we're not gonna get to use them
This time or next time
With this same little group we have here
Does that make sense?
Because until the final four
When the games are played on the same day
They're not playing on the same day
So they're different picks
There was my question
Okay
Hey hey if I'm right though
You're gonna say I'm sorry Eddie
That's our deal
Sorry, Eddie.
Although, Mike, we're down here.
Let's go home.
All right, Eddie, go ahead.
I just want to say that any team that goes into the tournament,
any team that goes into March Madness,
needs media training.
Even the small ones.
Fairley Dickinson, coach, you need to know that cameras are in your locker room.
I like it.
Then last night, is it, FAU?
I think they interviewed one of their guys.
He dropped the S word.
on live TV because he's never been interviewed before.
And he says, man, you know, we've just been, you know, we took care of.
And I'm, he's like, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
Didn't mean to say that.
Didn't mean to say that.
And the next answer, he goes, man, we're just going to go to New York.
Play that game.
Do whatever coach says.
It's like, what are you talking about?
That's the worst answer ever.
Well, you want to give nuggets that no one's ever going to use again.
That's kind of the goal.
But he didn't think that.
I know.
He didn't think that.
I think it's funny that these small schools come in here and have no
idea how to do interviews. I love it. Kevin? I saw a clip yesterday where a guy went on a television
show and he said that during the March Madness, first weekend, that that week, the U.S.
revenue, they lose $17 billion in the industry and the workforce because people are not focused
on work. They're doing brackets. They're going to games, whatever it may be. And I think that's
hilarious. Well, we saw that at the bar. Yeah. We went to the bar on Friday Bones and like,
I mean, America wasn't working. No one was in the office. They were all
that bar. Everyone was there.
So I believe that.
Well, I want to say that
the fact that it snows in March anywhere in America
is a joke. Oh, boy. It snowed
in Nashville, much less Iowa.
And in Iowa,
it was so cold. The wind cuts
through you. I don't know how
people even live there.
Their blood must be a different kind of blood.
Because I'm a...
And we walk, and luckily we got a parking place,
We told her that we had Eddie in the car.
Yeah, all because of me.
And she did, she let us in.
And Morgan Evans, not a big basketball guy because he grew up in Australia, but likes it a little bit.
Brett Eldridge, you went with us.
All four ups went together as an Illinois fan, which I did not know, forgot.
I guess I knew.
And I was like, all right, let's go.
We'll be sitting with all.
He's like, can I wear orange colors?
Like, yeah, sure, why not?
And I was like, oh, yeah, we're in the middle of all the Arkansas fans.
I was like, yeah, sure.
I would never tell anybody not to wear their team colors.
And that's what I'm going to say.
I don't care who you are, where you are.
Unless you're at like an event thrown by the school, which we weren't.
We were just sitting in there.
You should always wear your team colors and represent, even if you're not.
My final thing is my pet peeve is when someone wears a team hat or jersey to a game
and that team is not playing at all and is not going to play.
Meaning if someone were to show up with a USC jersey and a hat, be like, I'm here, watch your game.
You're not, USC's not playing at all.
all. They're not even this town. They're not in the NCAA tournament.
That is my pet peeve.
Did you see that? No. Oh, I saw other people. Yeah.
Okay. And I don't care if your team's playing, but you go to a football game.
Let's say it's Arkansas and Georgia playing. And somebody shows up geared up on South Carolina stuff.
I was like, dude, just wear normal clothes. That's weird.
There's no need. That's a pet peeve. Yeah. It's American. You wear whatever you want.
That's like them saying like, yay, sports.
Hope everybody has a good time.
All right, that's it. We're done.
Until Thursday, everybody.
Goodbye.
What on.
You're tired, man.
You watch so much basketball.
Bye, everybody.
