How about them, Cowboys!
Oh, come on!
You know we're going to lead to that.
We also see Kevin in a Cowboys jersey.
Yes, yes, sir.
And people have been asking you all about it.
Like, hey, congrats, man, good game, good game.
Yeah, we've had a few people in today.
Hey, I love the jersey.
Yeah, America's team, Cowboys.
I'm like, uh.
Number four, who is that?
What do you mean?
That's Dak.
Dak attack.
He wears four.
Yeah, he's number four.
I haven't been a die-hard fan that long.
Yeah, I know.
Just this year.
I guess I really don't know any, but I haven't known people's numbers since I was a kid.
Meaning, I mean, I didn't do all of them when I was a kid.
But I guess I don't pay attention.
I don't even, what number is Brady?
12.
I knew that.
TB 12.
That's easy.
Man, I just don't remember people's numbers.
What's my homes?
15.
No idea.
I thought it was 12, too.
15.
Really?
Yeah.
That's a tough one for me.
I don't know.
It's like.
I can't name. Give me somebody really famous.
Devante Adams.
He's got to be in the 80s, so I would go 81.
Devante Adams, he a single number?
80. What is he?
17.
Okay.
Dude.
That's crazy, dude.
It's crazy that I know no one's number.
Aaron Rogers.
12.
And that was, I think, only because Eddie went twa, and I jumped out.
Yeah, he's 12.
I just literally just followed you.
Well, what a weekend.
We can go through a lot of this stuff.
but let's start with Tom Brady for a second
because I want to get to the Cowboys in a second.
I think I said the second twice.
But where does Tom Brady play next year?
Does he want to play next year?
That could be an option.
I mean, I don't...
I say yes.
I think he plays...
I think he goes one more year.
And I think he announces it as he's going to go one more year.
Like, this is my last year.
And I think he probably rogerses us a little bit.
And we wonder, and maybe he's wondering.
maybe he tries to get back with
Giselle. I don't know what the situation is.
Oh, get back to it.
It's interesting.
But are they, they're divorced,
but, and there's got to be something more than just him playing football.
Yeah.
Because it could be, okay, he plays football.
It's not just him playing football,
but maybe it's the fact that he alienated everything else in his life
for many months at a time while he played football,
and if he says, this is my life.
I don't know.
I just think, if I were betting now,
I would bet he comes back for one more year
but then we can talk about where we think he goes.
First of all, does he come back?
Yes or no, Eddie.
He does not come back.
From watching him walk off the field,
I mean, dude, I don't like Tom.
I've never been a Tom Brady fan,
mostly hate her because he was so good.
I respected him as being the goat.
Absolutely.
He's definitely one of the greatest quarterback
that we've seen play for sure.
So I don't like him.
But I felt bad for him yesterday.
I mean, he just looked like complete crap.
It looked like the old man was getting older
and it's time.
It was almost like Joe Montana when he went to the Chiefs.
Like, oh, man, he should have quit last year.
Yes, he did.
That slide.
Yes.
It was a bad slide.
Not a good look.
I still think, though, he performed that way because of how the people were performing around him.
For example, that ball he threw to Evans near the end of the game on a lot.
He has a dime.
Yeah, right into his fingertips and drops it.
Like, they didn't throw deep a lot because he doesn't have time to throw.
deep a lot. And if you can't run the ball, you can't run play action. That's really what Brady is
effective and very efficient doing. So I do think Brady is still a top 15 quarterback.
Even the past to Julio Jones in the end zone. I mean, that was beautiful. I think physically
still a top 10 to 15 quarterback mentally still probably the best. So I think he comes back,
but only if he can be on a team that has a good offensive line and depth. Because depth got
them this year. I mean,
they didn't have O-line
I mean, 75% of the season
where they had more than
like three guys starting at one
time. And then one of those
would go down, this and somebody would come back and it was
just him going in a... Yes, but I
agree with you. He did look bad last night. But
any quarterback's going to look bad, if
they're not given the time
to look good. And it's not like he has
a physical tools
to go Barry Sanders where you may have a bad
O line, but you're still so good
that you can sometimes navigate
around that. He was kind of playing out of fear
too for most of the game. I felt like he just saw
so much pressure coming after him. Cowboys were
relentless
flying around
early on too. Because the Cowboys,
I think their first two possessions, they go two and they went
three and out. Both of them did.
And then I was like, well, that was my point.
The Cowboys went three and out and then I was like, okay, well
here go the stupid, the box
about to, oh, wow, okay. Cowboys
were on it.
making tackles behind the line, hitting hard,
and it happened twice,
and if I were Brady too, I'd be like,
God dang, man, these guys are coming at me like crazy.
Yeah.
But I think he, if the right situation, I think he comes back.
Eddie goes, no, Kevin?
I think he does too, but yes, for the perfect situation,
whether it's in Vegas, but he knows he has a run game and a defense.
I mean, he threw it 66 times.
That's insane.
A defense is, that's a great point, too,
because I never factor in as a quarterback for the defense being able to
give you a shot too. That's a great point
that you need a good defense so you're
not always playing from behind as well.
It's almost like it's got to be the Niners
or, I want to say Vegas, but the Niners are
just so set up for success
with the run game and the O-Line and the defense.
It's almost like if he either goes
there or nowhere. Mike,
I don't think so. He's going to be 46.
He didn't look good. He'll be 46
next year. Yeah. Going into the season.
Oh, I didn't realize he's that old.
Yeah. He's so good looking.
I mean, he does take it.
And he was walking in, like, he was, it was just like, I don't even use this term a lot, but it was like pure swag.
And he's got good hair.
I mean, it's just, right.
It's like, damn.
I never felt more DTF watching TV.
So I'm going to go, he comes back and goes, this is my final year.
He declares it.
He loves the spotlight, obviously.
He deserves it.
He's earned it.
Yep.
And so he says it because he also wants the, this is his final year.
and I think
I'll look at
here let's look at
Drive King's odds here
plus 200 to the bucks
still the favorite
but barely
he stays
plus 250 to the Raiders
plus 350 to the Niners
the one that I like
is plus 750 to the Patriots
because what a fun story
that would be if you went back
to the Patriots
Kevin do you guys feel like
you have enough of
not to bring him back
you don't
I mean I would love it
as a fan
but I'm saying
do you have enough weapons
in the old arsenal
to be able to make him
feel like he's going to go up, have a defense, have an offensive line?
No, I feel like, I mean, our defense was good,
but our O line was kind of, you know,
up and down, and then our weapons, I mean, come on.
Our number one receiver was Jacobi Myers,
Devante Parker missed half the season.
So he's going from Mike Evans.
If you can't get it done with those guys,
the running game's better, but I don't think he'll come back.
Plus 900 to the Jets and the Giants,
but I'm telling you what, they ain't going to the Giants.
Oh, Dandy Dimes. I mean, that's...
Giants are set now.
They didn't even give him his fifth-year option,
and now they gots to pay him.
He looks great.
You don't have found interesting.
Did you see Daibel's comments after where they're like, do you think you did good?
He's like, yeah, he did good.
I kind of shrugged it off.
I was just wondering if that's like the owner saying, hey,
still got to hold some leverage here.
Don't pump him up too much.
I mean, if you don't want to hold leverage, he'll go make a bunch of money somewhere else.
I don't feel like they have the, now that he's won a playoff game too,
now that Jones was that Vikings victory was him going,
well, they're already going to resign me.
And now they have to resign me.
sign me and they have to pay me even more.
He also, what, he run for 70 and threw for
300? Yeah.
And look great doing it.
He was so legit.
He's a big guy. He can run.
I mean, the first year in this system
and now he knows the system. Sequin,
God dang. They were shooting Seekone
out of a cannon because that
the Minnesota defense was having to
also watch for Jones
to run.
They've also, I mean,
for a team with no wide receivers.
Yeah, they got no one.
Can you imagine giving him a weapon out there too?
Is awesome.
What a weekend for games.
Okay, Cowboys first, Eddie.
Mike, your thoughts, watching the Cowboys dominate last night?
Oh, my gosh, I loved it.
I'm on Cloud 9 still.
I mean, you're watching a team that played terribly last week
and then play like this.
I mean, they were firing from all cylinders, dude.
I mean, DAC was on point.
I mean, he was just hitting every single target.
Defense was great.
There was some, like, you know, our kicker, obviously is like, that was weird.
Oh, my gosh.
Like, that was weird.
It was so weird that it was just weird.
Like, yes, that's a great word.
It was so weird that I don't even feel like he's a bad kicker and should be cut
because something was happening that made it that weird.
It's like when we play golf and you're like, how do I keep shanking it straight right?
Like, I played golf my whole life.
Like, how does this happen?
He could not straighten that ball out to save his life.
Now, what do you, so they did go take a shot at like Jerry Jones when this was happening.
And you see him like,
He was like grabbing his head.
Like, what is going on?
What do you do in that scenario?
Like, as an owner, as a coach, like, what do you do with him?
Do you just kind of like say, hey, it's all right.
It happens.
Good thing we won the game.
But do you just work with him some more?
I think if you're going to keep him, you really don't do anything because it's just going to further F his head up, you know?
I think he's been a really good kicker all season.
Yeah, he's been great.
I think he missed one inside of 50.
Yeah.
and then you miss four extra points.
What you worry about is,
and maybe you don't worry,
but I would just want to go back
and see how many kicks he's made with adversity
or how many kicks he's made with pressure.
But there wasn't even pressure
except for it being a playoff game.
It was an extra point.
Right, that's pressure, but it's a playoff game, right?
It's elevated.
I just think something was up that was so weird
that I still trust him
because I don't think it was a trust.
Although they were going to go on kick a play.
Philgo last night and they pulled that fourth and fourth and fourth yeah he was running out on
the field and they were like no no no and I wondered would they have still gone for it anyway anyway
it was a situation where maybe they go for it yeah and they pull them back I think they had to go
for it at that point when he made that that fifth extra point you see everybody jump like yeah
here's the thing they didn't even show it on TV though like they missed the kick completely
when he kicked it wait I saw this was the last I'm sorry this is the last extra point it
they missed I'm like guys maybe that was it
it let's not show it at all and he made it no problem i i wouldn't cut him he's too good of a kicker
it was a bad night but then i start to go give an example we could uh let's do a comedy show
where i'm doing a big comedy show we got a theater i've sold out i'm gonna fly into um albuquerque
and it's 2 000 3 000 people and i'm super pumped it's a big night for me big night for everybody
else and i have diarrhea and nobody knows that but i got to now go out there and perform even though
of diarrhea
and I'm having to
like
I bit a hole
or when I bit a hole
on my tongue
let's say
when I was in Vegas
oh yeah
bit a hole
almost do it
my tongue
I didn't really
want to say anything
about it
but I couldn't
so I made a video
about it
but let's say
I just tried to go
I would have been
physically
mentally
treating everything
differently
because something
that was happening
that nobody
knew anything
about
yeah but if I was
Brett Maher
I would be like
hey guys
can I do a
pre-game interview
I got to tell
everyone I have
diarrhea
because
if I do suck
I want to be
they're going to be
like, yes, well, we expected that.
He came out and said he had diarrhea.
Like, leak it to the reporter in the pregame.
Hey, make sure you throw this out there before the game.
And I'm probably wrong.
My point with that is we don't know.
We feel like because they're on TV and they're playing in front of thousands
and then millions of people watching,
we feel like everything's got to be perfect internally with them,
externally in their lives.
I get it.
It could be anything.
And to me, it has to be something because he just has not done anything like that ever.
No.
But you're right.
That first one missed, I was like, dang.
The second one missed.
I was like, this is un-bullly.
The fourth?
The one that hit the top of the...
That was crazy.
Went over the...
Yeah.
Wasn't it four?
That was four.
Four, in a row.
I'm even questioning now that it was four.
I was like, maybe it was three.
It was four.
Two to the right, one of the left, one over.
He had to be like...
That's wild.
You know what he had said to his holder,
they just know I had diarrhea.
Right?
But see, okay, so the rest of the team, they show shots of him, like, hey, did you're good,
you're good, pat on the helmet.
And then, Dak, after the fourth miss, he's just like, what the...
happening?
Yeah.
is going on.
I bet Dak wishes he wouldn't have done that on,
like in the camera wouldn't have gotten.
No,
no,
right.
Yeah.
Oh,
by the way,
where's Brady going to play?
Me?
Yeah.
I like the Niners.
If you have to pick somebody.
I know,
I was the Niners.
He's from California.
And that's really homecoming.
Kevin?
Vegas.
Mike?
I say Vegas.
Does he like Josh McDaniels enough
to go back to Vegas?
They were together for a long time.
I'm going to go with the box one more run.
Okay.
Cowboys win.
You're still on Cloud 9.
Oh, my gosh.
Yeah.
I mean, after watching them last night and just how they played, I mean, how can you not be so pumped?
I mean, yes, we go to San Francisco next.
Well, you can not be so pumped because they'll be to eight and nine bucks team.
Sure, I get it, but it's Tom Brady.
It's what everyone said.
It's Tom Brady.
He gets you in the playoffs, Mr. Playoffs.
And I love.
But they're not, you're doing his voice like, oh, the people are wrong.
No, he's one more than anybody else.
So people should feel that way.
No, I get it.
But we proved everyone wrong.
And we broke the streak.
So boom, we don't.
You're right.
We don't crumble in the playoffs.
You haven't won a playoff game since I think I was screaming out of my mom's vagina.
I'll tell you when.
Yesterday.
Let's go.
Let's go.
Just a reminder, 25 whistles brought to you by Draft King Sportsbook.
An official sports betting partner of the NFL.
Download the draft king's app and use the code Bobby Sports to get in on the action.
I let you guys pick the parlay.
I thought we were going to hit it.
Me too.
I was feeling good.
49ers minus eight and a half.
Seahawks.
I wasn't feeling good about that one until late.
Yeah.
The Jags plus 3.5 at the Chargers is a win.
And the Vikings minus two at the Giants as a loss.
So I don't take any responsibility for this one.
Good. You shouldn't.
It was a team effort.
Because it was 2 and 1 into 3 game parlay.
But if I'd have picked them, it'd have been 1 and 2.
But still, who cares?
I'd tell you, I suck at picking an NFL game.
College, I feel great.
But NFL, man.
That's hard, man.
Yeah, it is hard.
So 25 whistles.
You want to take the parlay?
Next week, though, I feel good about it.
Hey, I'm ready for next week.
Let's just say we're doing a little extra studying.
I feel good.
New users use the code Bobby Sports when you download the app.

See, show notes for full details.
So the Cowboys are having to go play the 49ers, though.
Two days less rest in San Francisco.
That's a disadvantage.
You know, the TV, the fact that the Cowboys on top
Tom Brady are so marketable, that is going to cost the Cowboys two days of rest and preparation.
The fact that people wanted to watch that game so much, they wanted to move it to Monday night,
I still think the NFL, knowing that that was probably going to be the case, should have put it on a Sunday night.
Just because that is such an unfair advantage.
You didn't even think about that.
It's like you're being punished for how popular you are.
That's what happened with the Cowboys.
That's what happened.
Because people want to watch the Cowboys versus Tom.
Tom Brady. For many reasons, Cowboys have won forever. Jerry Jones, America's team, can they break the streak? Can Tom Brady win? Can...
So you're going to go on the biggest night Monday night. We are going to put your popularity in the fact that you'll drive millions and millions of people on Monday night. Which, by the way, if you win, though, you got to flip around real quick and go play the 49ers in San Francisco and with limited rest and preparation. That sucks.
And they played so hard too
You have a few players go down a couple of times
And it's like oh man
You want to take them out and you want to rest them
But you can't you're playing Tom Brady
You can't do that
And I felt like they played their hardest
Yeah half time
Right at half time I thought when Parsons came up kind of limping
I was like oh well this sucks
This is it
Yeah it's not what you want to see
I'm a diehard cowboy fan
I have been for like I don't know three months
Yeah
We're Jerry's guys you know
Yeah of course
I made a bigger bet
I made the biggest bet I've ever made on a
football game last night. And you're not in our
Cowboys group thread, Kevin, because we're all a cowboy
diehards in that group thread. Yeah, I figured.
You can if you want. It's called,
what's our group called? It's changes.
Oh, it's called Cinco Cowboys
Amigos. So it's five Cowboys friends.
Oh, okay. All right, Eddie. Yeah, we can't change it to six. Sorry, Kevin.
No, no, Trees, Quachos, Cinco. Can't count to six in Spanish.
What's Spanish for Cowboys?
Vaceros. Why isn't it? Cincoes.
We can change that right now.
Right. Let's do it. So, it was in
and you know
I've been doing pretty good
I kind of bet
I kind of bet
the whole load
just about
I bet
it was a big old load
I bet
$2,500
on the Cowboys
to win
just straight up win
yeah
I don't want to play
with that three
yeah
and so
hindsight
you're like
oh shouldn't have
of that
but yeah
yeah
so in the end
I know
listen
my butt was puckered
when Brady
scored the touchdown
I was like
oh God
they missed the two point
I was like
oh but
unclinched a little bit that ball to Mike Evans when I saw him he had he oh he'd beat
yeah it was over and so my butt clenched again then un puckered said my boat it was tired at
the end of the night I just kept puckering and unpuckering all night long so let me see
what I won here on that because 4100 4166 so I bet 2,500 and 1 4166 so I put the
winnings for the year up and hit
That's good. We like that.
Yeah.
We liked that.
And then you won on the other league, too.
Are you still going with that?
Because you have the Cowboys winning?
Yeah, I did.
But so here's the deal.
I have the Chargers, too.
Those are my two teams.
Yeah.
We could talk about that stupid game.
Monumental.
But, yeah.
So, let me see.
I didn't gain a whole bunch because everybody else won games too.
They had to pay in a little bit.
Let me see if they've updated it.
Yes, but yes, I know the Cowboys.
and it should have taken, it's worth $500,
but all those other games that other people won,
I had to pay $100 in,
so I don't think that I'm, I made that much,
if anything, I'm going to pull it up here.
Nope, actually I lost money.
Maybe they're going to, how many games Cowboys won?
They went 12 before last night?
12 in the season, yeah.
Okay, so I'm going to win one more.
So I'm going to be at 28, minus 2,800.
But then you won?
No, last night, no.
That's, right now it says minus 3,300.
But I'm doing my 28.
But I'm still in it to hopefully move that needle a little bit the next round against 49ers.
That sucks, man.
So easy come, easy go.
Both spots.
I need to bet more, I guess, next week.
That's it.
That's the answer for sure.
Every time.
I was chasing a little bit too, if I'm being honest.
Because I bet a good amount on Arkansas to help win.
Oh, yeah.
Not some of that game.
Not near that.
Near.
And I was like, you know what?
I'm going to go to the game.
fun, and they lost.
And I was like, you know, I was going to already bet substantial on that one anyway.
And I have it because I'm up.
I would never bet money if I was going to get in trouble.
But I was chasing.
I was a mildly chasing.
Hey, I caught it, didn't I?
Chargers, Jaguars, I'm going to tell you this.
This is a decision that I made mid-game.
I thought it was a strategic one.
Game starts.
Trevor Lawrence, pick.
Touchdown Chargers.
Trevor Lawrence, pick.
Chargers score touchdown.
around that time.
It wasn't exactly like that, but it's over at halftime.
And I don't want to use up all my currency of just sitting watching football.
So I thought, I'm going to go hang out with Caitlin.
So I can then use some of that time later.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Different game.
Of course.
Forget it.
And I go, hey, this game's out.
I was honest with it.
It's game's over.
So let's go do something.
Let's go, because I don't need to watch the second half of this game.
Let me go get a smoothie, go to coffee place, do something.
She's like, oh, cool, cool, cool.
She goes, that probably means you want to watch another game.
Well, yeah, yeah, there's another one tonight.
I was like, yes, yes, it's absolutely all.
And so she gets it.
She knows I'm coming and what I'm coming with.
And so she's like, cool, cool, cool.
And so, I don't know, she goes and puts her clothes on.
It was like 30, 45 minutes we had planned to leave.
I was going to go and walk the dogs.
And we're about to go, and all of a sudden, Jaguar, start coming back.
And so I'm like, I got to watch.
this good and so I set it up and then I cancel it which is not good I should have just
watched the game because that's even worse yeah now I made her get ready now I got to watch
the game too that's not good and so then and then they lose and so it's not that I'm a
huge charger fan but I bet on them what an epic collapse I saw the charges fire the
OC this morning yeah I guess that means they're not firing staley then if they're gonna
fire those guys they must not be fired because they would have led with that
I guess they're the scapegoat.
Yeah, I guess so.
It was their defense, everything went wrong.
They did everything wrong in that second half,
meaning they played, they were not aggressive at all,
so passive, just trying to hold on.
And Trevor Lawrence, God dang.
Like he's now here, that was his, I'm here game.
The Titans game at the end of the year to go,
we're going to make it at the playoffs, that's like, all right,
we think this was a successful season.
We think Trevor Lawrence can be something now.
He was a little rough early.
But, okay, he just wanted a game that mattered.
Sure, the Titans weren't.
But it's just about winning the game.
He is now, after going deep into the tunnel with four picks,
the fact that he was able to come back and then throw four touchdowns
and win that game and look that good, he's here now.
He's not on the Mahomes level, but I think he's now,
if Mahomes and Josh Allen are in the A group,
Joe Burrow probably in the A-minus,
group, but they're all up in that tier.
I think now Trevor Lawrence is in the B group.
And credit to Doug Peterson, too.
There's the reason he won a Super Bowl.
Yeah, you can just tell.
He's been there, and Staley hasn't.
Do you guys feel like Lawrence is now in the bottom of that B group?
Yes, absolutely.
Yeah, back half of the season, last couple games, yeah.
And this playoff, especially this playoff game.
Yeah.
Pressure's on.
He played horribly.
Didn't let it really affect him.
He didn't drag his dauber because everybody got out and he won the game.
Is Herbert out of that B group?
No, I still think he's in the B group.
Yeah.
I mean, he still scored 27.
They still score.
I don't put it all on Herbert.
No.
The defense,
don't let him score 28 points in the second half.
That's all you got to do.
But I do,
I put more on the offensive coordinator,
which was fired him because they were,
they were doing things
that they don't normally do on offense
just to try to be conservative.
Oh, that's not.
when you do that.
I mean, I get it, but if you're doing it at first,
but once they score two touchdowns,
you've got to kind of open it back up and they didn't.
Yeah, it was almost like they were just playing not to lose.
And that's okay at first.
Yeah.
But then when you realize you might lose,
you got to then play to win.
Because I'd probably come out up 27
and play not to lose for a while
until they've actually gone,
oh crap, they've just,
now they've outsmarted us.
Now we have to switch our style
because they switch theirs.
It's bad.
I saw an interesting tweet this morning, too, where somebody I can remember who it said,
but they said that the Cowboys played, you know, with the big lead.
They played smart.
Every time they would try to stay in bounds,
and they would try to run that clock as much as they could.
And they were somewhat aggressive, even though they didn't have to be.
They still threw the ball a little bit when they didn't.
Usually you would just run it and try to run the clock and hope to guide your deep.
But the Cowboys did, I won't say put their foot all the way in the gas,
but they didn't just put it in neutral.
Yeah.
And you got to love it because he's,
You can throw a pick.
Something can go wrong, but they did, and they stuck with it.
It was good.
I'm a big cowboy fan.
There you are.
I like that.
You want the jersey tomorrow?
No, you got to keep that all week.
Oh, all week.
You've got to wear it all day.
All week.
I thought it was one day.
All week.
And if they beat the 49ers, you have to wear it for the rest of the year.
Tattoo on your face.
Tattoo star on your face.
Okay, we'll just quickly roll down some of these.
We talked about Chargers and Jaguars.
I mean, we saw two of the biggest comebacks ever in the last few weeks,
with the Vikings coming back over the course.
Colts and then the Jaguars over the Chargers.
I mean, that's two of the biggest ones ever this year.
Is this going to be more of a standard thing because offenses are, they can score so quickly?
Good point.
And so are they can, are teams that are up a lot going to have to change being conservative now
because teams can score so quickly?
Like this may change how second halves are done.
If you're up four touchdowns, usually you would come out and just run the ball, run the
clock, run the clock, because offenses weren't able to score like they are now.
Wrecks weren't able to. But now that they can, maybe this does shift a little bit where teams
don't have to work. They don't, let me say this, they don't, they're not good sportsmen.
And so we're not going to run it up. Maybe they have to. Maybe they feel like now we got to go
and be up 40 before we stop because teams can score so much. And coach should be like, you know,
there's no need to run it up. Well, maybe it's not called running it up anymore. Maybe it's just
making sure it's safe. Seal the deal. I wonder if we see that. The 40-9ers and Seahawks is a good game.
it really was until late the second half
and I couldn't believe
that the Seahawks were playing that close
it was awesome and I was like maybe they're gonna do
oh no they're not like as soon as I started to think
well they could no never mind
I totally bid on the Gino's story and I thought
I mean I thought that he had a legit chance
and no I don't think you bid on it I think it was awesome
yeah that's one of the greatest seasons
in my mind
if you're a Seahawks fan because
when you come and you think it's going to be awful
and then it ends up being
a little more than pretty good but not exactly really good
like that net gain is awesome.
When you're expected to be great and you do great, it's still fun,
but you had the expectation and it was disappointment if you don't.
This is all wins.
Sure, it's a little disappointing and lost the game,
but man, you're a Seahawks fan going into the season.
It was like, who's going to be the quarterback?
This guy that wasn't good enough to start
or this guy that wasn't good enough to start is awesome.
Yeah, haven't heard Drew Locke's name all year.
Exactly.
What was a quarterback competition?
Yeah.
ends up being one guy who's now going to get paid,
if not there somewhere.
The dolphins and the bills, you know what?
Go back.
I thought the dolphins were going to do it.
Me too.
Well, I thought the dolphins were going to be in, and they were.
I guess I always felt like the bills were going to figure out way to pull it out.
But two interceptions and a fumble recovery.
You do that?
The odds of you winning aren't very good.
Skylar Thompson also, look, he was throwing the ball with some zip.
Yeah, he was slinging it.
Yeah.
He had confidence for sure.
And almost, it wasn't reckless, but he had nothing to lose.
It looked like he had nothing to lose.
He's just throwing it.
And good for him, because you've got to think that there was so much pressure going into that game for that, dude.
Like, this is it.
This is your shot.
You're going in the first playoff game.
Like, this is your first play.
This is your first game.
And it's a playoff game.
They need you.
Well, he started another game.
Yeah.
A couple games, yeah.
Yeah, he did so another game.
But you're right.
I completely agree with you.
I think his showing was solid, though.
I think he now has a job as a backup somewhere.
Even if it's not Miami, I think he can go be a pretty good backup quarterback.
Would you guys agree with that?
Yeah.
I don't think he's a starter anywhere.
Giants beat the Vikings, 30124.
Daniel Jones, 300 yards, two touchdowns, ran for almost 80.
It was not Kirk Cousin's fault.
They lost the game.
Kirk Cousins actually played pretty well.
That last play of the games that everybody remembers when he throws it to, you know, T.
T.J. Hawkinson.
five yards when they need a way more than that.
That's what we're going to remember.
Yeah.
But Kirk Cousins actually, and I don't know, his line, played pretty well.
I never watched and thought, well, there's Cousin' again.
But Primetime Kurt got him, bit him in the butt at the end of the game.
Sorry, go ahead.
Oh, no, I thought the Giants would win.
I think we all did.
Yeah.
But then once they start playing, you're like, I don't know, was I an idiot.
That's what I was like, I don't know.
The Vikings do look pretty good.
What were you going to say, Kevin?
I was going to say my thing is Jefferson was just nowhere to be seen.
Like even if he's double cover, I don't care.
He's the best, he's what, top two, three in the league.
Just throw it up to him.
Maybe one.
Well, I don't know if I'm going to do a lot throwing up.
But yeah, I'm just saying.
But Kurt Cousins was, yeah, 31 for 39, 273 with two touchdowns.
So it wasn't Cousin's fault.
That last taste we got was of Cousins doing something really dumb, though.
So that's what we're going to remember.
Yeah.
And if it was anybody else, not anybody else, but, you know, Cousins' Cousins, it's easy.

Ravens and Bengals.
I just saw it with Arkansas,
Texas A&M.
If you're like over a half yard out,
you shouldn't be holding that ball and trying to extend that ball over.
I know, man.
And I know you're a great athlete, your whole life, you've been a great athlete.
You think you can do it most times.
It probably does work.
But two yards out, I guess I'm just so scared of that
because I saw KJ Jefferson do it at Texas A&M, lost us the game.
Yeah.
They knocked it out, fumble, runner back for a touchdown.
Yeah, that's true.
Same thing that happened here.
That game completely flipped whenever.
Who was it that ran it back?
Hubbard?
Oh, yeah.
Complete flip of the game when that happened.
Big boy, running out of breath.
The Ravens, surprising to me, though, like the clock management issues at the end of the game,
because Harbaal usually is pretty good about that.
I think everybody was surprised.
Like, the timeouts at the end.
But the Bengals win, and it's just about winning at this point.
It's not about any sexy points.
It's going to be good next week.
Oh, yeah.
I mean, I think that's all the games, right?
Cowboys' bucks.
That's it.
Which game you're looking for?
Eddie, I don't know what you're going to.
Go ahead.
Somebody has to say it.
Go ahead.
You know what I'm going to say.
say the Cowboys and the Niners, man.
I mean, I just cannot wait for that game.
There's a little trick, though. It's my son's birthday.
I mean, I don't know what to do.
Does he want to have a Cowboys party?
No, no. He said he'd like to go at the dinner, and I'm like, what time?
Because the game's at 5.30.
The game is, no, it's not.
Isn't it that 30?
Yeah.
Oh, it's on Sunday at 5.30.
So either we're going to have a late dinner.
Saturday night, though.
I know. I told them that, too.
That's what you should do aside, because that way you can go later and have fun because it's not a
school night. He did say like,
ooh, I mean, I do want to see the Cowboys game, but
I don't know. I'll decide, I'll decide, dad. I'm like, oh my gosh,
it better be Cowboys game. What if
Cowboys game
or, or he can watch a movie in our theater?
Nice. During the Cowboys game?
No, I, no. Or he can watch the Cowboys
game in the theater. We can have a party for him. Right, but whatever
it is, I have to be with him. I know.
I'm saying. But I'm not going to throw him in the theater
while he watches a movie. What if we have a
I can ask Caitlin. What if
If we have a small, we don't say small, but we'll have a cowboy's birthday party for him in the theater room.
He's a huge cowboy's fan.
I know, I know, I know.
In the theater room.
He likes the movie theater is awesome.
He does.
He could watch a movie in the afternoon over there, whatever he wants, and then we could roll it into the Cowboys game at 530 with Cowboys cake.
I don't know.
I'll pitch it to him.
It's an option.
I'll pitch it to him.
In the theater.
I'm just telling you, the Cowboys game is not a priority to him.
So, we'll see how that plays out.
That's tough.
Yeah, it is.
Jags and Chiefs, that shouldn't be much of a game, but we've been wrong before.
You never know.
It looks like Kansas City's eight and a half.
Yeah.
Giants and Eagles.
Again, it shouldn't be much of a game, but you never know.
And Daniel Jones was playing really well.
Yep.
And Jalen Hertz, how healthy is he?
He had a week off, but what does that even mean?
Philly's seven and a half point favorite
That's a lot
It is especially not knowing the Jalen Hurts situation
Bengals and Bills
That's going to be a close one
The Sunday games are the better two games
Oh yeah
Bengals and Bills
Buffalo is a five point favorite
It is in Buffalo
And I wouldn't be surprised if the Bengals
I expect the bills to win
But I wouldn't be surprised if the Bengals win that
Just because I just believe in Burrow for some reason
I guess that's some reason
Last year
Yeah.
And then Cowboys in 49
or San Francisco is a four-point favorite right now.
And they should be.
They got a little extra time.
They went to the beach, had a vacation.
Sure.
The Alcatraz.
I need the Cowboys to win again.
Okay.
So, great week of NFL.
I think this week I'm going to start calling it
the Pinky Promise, the Bed of the Week.
Oh, the Pinky Promise.
I've never heard that before.
And everybody's got like, their locks,
their die, hard, stone, cold.
I need a pinky promise.
promise.
So that's what we're going to start calling that.
So we're going to do that.
Jim Harbaugh is going to stay at Michigan.
Yeah.
Now, this is what I hear, because he did this last year, too.
What I hear is no team wanted to hire him.
Again.
I don't know that that's true, but all this interest wouldn't be happening and then him
just pulling out again.
He knows if he wants to go to the NFL or not.
And then he's interviewing the teams or teams are, but then all of a sudden,
he's like, nah, never mind.
I'm not really interested anymore.
Wait, but you were 90, nah, 40.
35 days ago, even before the playoff, we had heard that was probably going to be his last year.
But now all of a sudden, he's like, I'm going to come back for a ninth season.
That doesn't just change because he put on a Michigan sweater and go, this fits great.
You know, it reminds me how much I love it here.
I love the colors.
Either a team wasn't willing to give him what he wanted money-wise, or they were like, what we're doing here,
this isn't conducive to how you do it in us doing it together.
So he ain't leaving.
That's good for Michigan.
Yeah.
Good for Michigan.
Anything else?
The Georgia player, the die in the car wreck.
Awful.
I didn't see that.
And the woman on the recruiting
in the recruiting crew staff.
They were together?
They died in a car wreck, yeah.
Oh, no.
The Alabama, go ahead, Kevin.
I was going to say after their parade that they celebrated the champion too.
Yep.
Gosh, it's terrible.
Terribly tragic.
The Alabama basketball player who was arrested for murder.
Unbelievable.
That was wild.
I saw that.
I was like,
wait,
what?
Same.
And I thought,
okay,
did he really
even play?
Or was he like,
but no,
he was averaging like
a point in a half.
Yeah.
And I know,
we just look at these athletes
and like,
oh yeah,
you know,
they're just athletes,
they're busy,
they're practicing
and whatever,
but no,
but they have real lives
and personal lives.
Not the same,
but it's like the kicker.
He didn't kill anybody,
but it's like,
we don't know what's happening
or why he's affected.
Brett Maher.
Uh-huh.
Yeah,
He was on the bench for Alabama's game that day.
He heard an ankle injury, though.
Yeah, they said he's out for the year.
They said he was out like a day before.
Yeah.
I honestly think he did have an ankle injury.
Yeah.
And it just, but anyway, it doesn't matter.
He is going to jail now.
Capital.
Yeah.
Yeah, for the rest of his life, most likely.
Innocent, don't proven guilty, obviously.
Yeah.
Just sad.
But it is, yeah.
And think about the girl.
Yeah.
Her family.
That sucks.
And that's, I think that's all I had.
Mike, anything?
That is it.
All right.
Well, come up with something real quick here, guys.
What's your thought of the week here?
These Monday shows for us,
but it's also Tuesday, because we had a holiday yesterday.
But it's also us, we just come on and I don't really make a list of stuff,
and we just talk about the games and have a recap,
because if we build all up to it and then we don't talk about what happened,
I always feel like we aren't really closing it before we get back into the next week.
so into the
end of the show message Eddie
I just vamped a little bit to keep you space to talk
I'm man I'm just you're still on
last night's game and I worry
about I'm thinking about you know
the injury late last in the game
I think it's a K is it was it
Cage that got hurt
I don't know an update on him or whatever
but man there's definitely a difference since
Hamlin
you know when like someone gets hurt
and everyone just starts worrying all of a sudden
I mean this is
I don't think it was as serious as, you know,
as we thought it was when it happened, but
something's going to have to change, you know, if like this is just happening
over and over, it's really scary. And I think a lot of players are changing the way
they play as well because of it. Like, I don't know. Trayvon Diggs is
scared or what, but I mean, it's like he didn't want to tackle yesterday.
It's almost like some of these, like, defensive backs don't even want to get
aggressive because they're scared or what?
You know, it makes sense if you're bigger, faster, and stronger, and you keep colliding into each other when you're bigger and you're faster and you're stronger, that there are going to be more people hurt worse.
But it also makes sense.
The rules the NFL is trying to put in place and people are like, man, this is that football like it used to be.
No, you can't do that.
But no, no, no.
But hold on Eddie, earlier on this same show.
I get it.
You lectured me.
I get it.
I bet how football is football.
That was before Demar Hamelin.
You know what?
I'll accept that.
And it's changed.
It's changed.
It's changed because, and even, dude, even when I saw the promo for the Pro Bowl, I'm like, I like, I like that they're doing flag football.
And what, two weeks ago, I'm like, this is stupid.
Who wants to see flag football?
I'll accept that.
Demar Hamlin really changed my whole perspective on all that.
Guys are getting a lot.
You're seeing guys that are 290 run 4, 4, 540s.
What do you think's going to happen when they slam into somebody, when that person's not fully ready?
Yeah, they're bigger and stronger too, that person, but it's all if you're ready for it.
So, yes.
I mean, I think
the crowd cheered
and he got a
and he rolled out
so I too was worried
because everybody was on the field
the whole Bronx
excuse me
the whole Bucks team
and then half of the
Cowboys team
just stayed out there
but yeah it was scary
but Mike do you see
how he is
I would assume that he's okay
if there was no story
yeah they posted on Twitter
recently they said he's like
moving all of the extremities
he's good to go
and he's in the hospital still
but he's gonna be all right
all right Kevin
mine was a storyline
off the field
a little bit, but during the games was these announcers
this weekend. The Saturday night
game was, was it
Al Michaels and Tony Dungey?
You know, it was a crazy game, crazy comeback,
and it was a snooze fest to them. They were like, yeah,
here comes to the Jags. Down 27, nothing.
Dungey doesn't have a lot of energy.
He doesn't have a lot of energy. And Al Michael's kind of been
checked out all year, right? Thursday night games. And then
the other one is Tony Romo, man. I know he's
your boy, but that guy just doesn't stop
talking sometimes, and I'm like, Romo, you don't have
to always talk. But it's what makes him
him and then Sunday night was a great one.
Therico, that game was awesome. So it was just
the ebbs and flows of announcing this weekend was
a good one for me. And you couldn't check out
really because
of, well, we saw it come back early
with the Jags and Chargers
and we'd just seen one
a few weeks prior with
the Vikings and the Colts
and Tom Brady. It just you couldn't
check out because even if they got out of hand you were like, well,
we've already seen this
this happen. So that
was fun. Mine,
the Ravens are gone
and I think if Lamar plays
it's probably a bit different
I think also people like
oh they'd have won
no Cincinnati would have played
the defense would have been different too
but he had to get on Twitter
and say no look guys
this is my PCL
this is how I heard it
this is why I can't
like he had to kind of come out
and defend himself a little bit
and that's an interesting situation
I think they'll pay him
I think he'll get what he wants
I don't blame him for not playing
no
I think people have this romantic
idea of football still where it's like you go and you play for your team and it's all your boys and
that's all good until you're hurt and you can't make any money in your career doing what you spent
your whole life training for that's right it's like nick smith who's playing for arkansas right now
basketball number one recruit at the end of the year last year like 24-7 had him ready to number one he
comes you know top five NBA draft pick is a freshman but he's got a knee problem all year and people
are like why doesn't you come back and just fight for the team it's like bro you only say this because
that ain't you.
If that knee issue could possibly cost you millions of dollars if you don't get it right,
you know, this isn't 1968.
Like this is his lifelong career, moneymaker, pretty short window to be an athlete,
money that can change his family, his family's next generation, his family's next generation.
And you're going to be like, you're only playing one year anyway.
You need to come and worry about hurting it forever to play for the art.
No, you don't.
take care of you
because you would take care of you
but you're the one complaining by him
yeah it's easy for you to say
yes so you know I felt that Lamar
I do and if you're really hurt
and you couldn't play great or if you're kind of hurt
and you thought well this is going to hurt me
because it's a business
these owners it's a business
everything's a business
to us sometimes it's romantic
because our teams and we put a lot of passion
and pride into it and they do too to a point
but it's a business
so we got to remember that
and let's take it easy on the quarterbacks
okay guys
see who the favorite is
to land him
if he leaves there?
No,
Patriots
Going to Vegas
Really?
Yeah.
What are they now?
Going to Vegas.
No,
Vegas is saying
According to Vegas.
Oh, I was like,
that's,
Vegas is now the Patriots?
Why?
All right, that's it.
Thank you guys.
We'll see you
Friday.
Bye, everybody.
