Oh, Eddie, blow the whistle. All right, we went to the Super Bowl last night. It's a terrible game. That sounds so cool, though. It is. And it would be something that, we'll get cooler the farther way you get from it and I got very fortunate the times I got to go because it wasn't because I had anything to do with going so and I can kind of give you the flip

we'll do Super Bowl first the game sucked we'd remove all betting aside because I lost every bet I made. Yes let's take that out so I lost every but that's okay I think just full transparency I think I lost like $3,000 last night

I kept loading up when the chiefs were getting further and further down because I just, I think like most of America, had an expectation that Patrick Mahomes would be Superman. Instead, he was, I don't even want to say Wonder Woman because she's superhero too, and that would be very sexist. So what I will say is he turned out to be, I don't know. Who's one of the bad ones? I don't know.

I'm trying to think, because even the bad guys, like the villains are pretty good or they wouldn't have made it to the major leagues of fights. Subaru. You know what I mean? Right, right, right. So I'll just say it was bad. It was a terrible performance.

But I don't think that it was a Patrick Mahomes sucks performance as much as it was that Kansas City offensive line. They have been patching it together all year. You got a guard playing tackle. You got them barely winning a bunch of games. You had, and more than that, you had that front four from Philadelphia. They just dominated. Dominated.

They, what was it like the second lowest blitz rate in all time? And when you're front four are getting pressure and it allows everybody else to not have to blitz, it's very difficult. And Mahomes had no time to do anything. So yeah, it's a bad game for Patrick Mahomes. But we've seen, if Patrick Mahomes is any time to do anything, he does. He had no time. Dude, he was getting, sat, sack, sack, sack. So, bad game, good for the Eagles, very passionate fans.

They're annoying, but I like that. I like passionate, annoying fans, because that means they're really passionate. The arena was 85%. 75% Eagles fans, probably. Oh, yeah, for sure. And if you're a Chiefs fan, you're the only team to ever have a shot at a three-peat.

That's pretty cool. You didn't win. It sucks. You would have loved to have been the first team to ever do it because then you'd have been in the conversation of the greatest dynasty ever, but now it's going to take another three years or so

for them to get back to that, hey, are they now the greatest dynasty? and his Patrick Mahomes, the greatest ever. I think he had an argument if he was the first one to three-peat. Now he's got to get seven, possibly eight rings to beat Brady or do something like three-peat. So Patriots fans, big sigh of relief,

Patrick Mahomes, not a good game. Travis Kelsey, not a good game, but mostly it was that the Eagles had an awesome game. Eagles were fantastic. Beautiful day to be a Patriot fan. We had fair seats. I don't know, they're fine. But in the Super Bowl, every...

I thought they were good. Listen, I looked before I went on, I didn't want to say it to everybody. I could have sold all six tickets for $17,000. And that's just money I just could have kept. But I didn't spend that for them. So it wasn't like I lost the money. And you'll hear the scavenger hunt as we move on here.

So I don't even want it to be like, I spent that because I didn't. As part of my contract with NFL, part of because I get paid actual money to believe it or not but they also give me four tickets

and they were like hey you can use them or you can sell them it wasn't like I had to be there but what I needed to be there for was to do a bunch of the interviews you'll hear Emmett Smith and Dion Sanders coming up so I didn't spend it on it

but I had them and then I got it's coming up right Mike all that so I don't even want to say everything that happened you can listen to it if you'd like I think it was a really fun week

I'm exhausted. So this first segment is not going to be long because we were gone Tuesday until we got back Monday morning in time to do the radio show. Like I went to bed at 2 a.m. And the show started at 5. Man, the night was quick.

Yeah, it was. It was. But this audience, I'll have full transparency because this is not a gen pop audience on Gen Pop show, radio show. It's a little more, hey, because people are passive, passive listening, don't say things that could alienate people or make them feel differently.

It's a different environment if you listen broadcast when there's passive listening versus if you guys are here with us, you know us, and I feel like I can say things with nuance and you'll have an understanding of it. So this next story I say because of that. We go to the game, we have to get back to work. So we fly privately from New Orleans, right, after the game back to Nashville. So we go to the private airport. We have a plane and there's eight of us. It's our whole crew.

Plus, I won't blow their spots up. Not that there's anything to blow up, but it was just two people that I work with in other capacities. They were flying back. And in case they didn't tell their wives or something, I don't know. It just doesn't matter who it was. They weren't up to no good.

I just, it's just not, it's, you know. It's not their story. Yeah, whatever. So, this is a couple small stories from afterward. So obviously the president was there. And whenever the president's somewhere and I've had this happen before, nobody goes anywhere. The president was at the game. Yes.

And no, and his plane was at the airport. Was he at our airport? Well, that's the airport. Oh, dang. That's the, well, that's the biggest private airport. That's where he was. Wow. Until he went up, we couldn't go.

And not only that, you have to reserve slots out. Usually, I only say this to you guys because I know you don't think we're any different, better or worse when I tell these stories. Usually what happens is if you're flying private, it doesn't matter. If you say you get 11 o'clock flight, you get their 1120, 11.30, it don't matter. There's no TSA. You just get on with your bag of crap and you just go. And the pilots are there and you just do your thing.

Because the Super Bowl, it just lined up. you had to purchase a slot to get out so you could be sure to get out. And we get to the private airport, and it's jammed. And I've never seen so many rich people in my life. Like, it's just crazy. Like I got, I would say I have new work money,

meaning I have new money, and if I'm going to spend it like this, it's for work because I got to get back because we had to do the radio show. So I'm only doing that whenever it's like we got to do it. because we didn't do that down there. We took a tour bus down there because we were stopping into the places.

And so we get in, we can't leave because the president hasn't left yet. They thought he was going to leave way earlier. He stayed later. So we're just standing around and we ended up getting out at an okay time. But I think the awkwardish, there are certain rules

that I've had to learn the hard way about when you go into these little airports is sometimes you see famous people in there. And it's don't like, just play. cool. It's like, I don't know what I would compare it to. Like, backstage in an award show. When I first, I had to learn the rules. You're backstage at an award show, play it cool. I never, sometimes I don't want to play it cool. I was like, this is crazy. I had to kind of stop Kevin

last night from taking a picture of Adam Sandler in the private airport. But he looked at me and put his knuckles out. And he was like, what's up, man? Well, you were talking about the Eagles and he was rooting for the Eagles. and Kevin grabs his phone and throws his camera open and is going to take a picture. I'm like, do not take a picture of Adam Sandler in the private airport. And then Kevin said, okay, sorry.

He could not be any more open. Like, he was loving it. And I didn't go up to him. He came up to me and he was like, what's up to him? So I was like, perfect timing. I didn't have to go up to him and make it awkward.

He didn't go up to. He was getting food right by our table. Like his back was at that little thing. And then Kevin, who probably was drunk a little bit, Yeah, I was having a good time. It was a great night. Right. One money.

Eagles won, Chiefs loss. It was beautiful. It was like loud and Adam Sandler turns around and looks at him and goes, yeah, I throws his knuckles out. And then Kevin takes his phone. I was like, do not take a picture of somebody. It was super cool. It was Adam Sandler.

I would have loved to went and got a picture. Like I was like, and so was Mike and I were both like, oh, man. That was so awesome. It was like my list of like top seven influences ever. And so I at one point had to be taught these rules. And it's a hard rule to. learn. And so last night, Kevin got a lesson

in why we're not good at being around those kind of people, just in general. Yeah, I regret it. I should have done it. I should have done it. You, what, say that again? I said I should have done it. He was open for it. He was ready. You regret what?

No. Not going through with a picture. He wasn't, he didn't want you to take a picture. You made a loud noise and he looked at you because you like scared him. and then he was like, yeah, and he throws his knuckles out. He probably did that to shut down the photo. Yes, yeah. And Kevin just grabbed this phone.

I was like, no, no, no, no, no, no. Yeah, I don't know. You guys were pretty sour after the game. I was having a good time. I saw it differently. Are you still drunk? It sounds like it. And like, we weren't sour.

You were just on a different level. I know, I was having a good time. I wasn't sour at all. I had a, no, no, I don't, I won't bet enough at an event like that to ruin the event. If it's like an event that I don't have a team in. listen if Arkansas I'd have been playing I'd have been defeated but no I wasn't even 1% sour okay

I think you I don't believe us I'm no I'm not arguing I'm just saying I was having a good time and Reed was having a good time and we were like dang don't put read into it because you were drunk and loud and all it was was hey don't the same role I had to learn can't take pictures in here because then they'll they put you in like rich person jail

and I don't ever want to go to rich person jail although it might be nice is that where Chris Lee is? In Florida somewhere yes so we flew back, got back all good we're back, we're tired

I had to work hard to drink enough water not to lose my voice like that's always a constant for me because the post Malone pre-show we went to we were at that and tailgate yeah and it was awesome and I wanted to sing,

but then I got to think, oh, I got to be responsible. And so I'm like, I had some help. I'm kind of just moving my mouth. But I don't want to blow my voice out. I totally get that. But I drank a lot of water.

It was, you know, we, in the end, had a good time. I think I'm going to go take a nap. You can listen to the rest of the show. I don't think anybody was, sour though. Do you might not? Like nobody was. I think Kevin was just drunk. I was having a good time. I had a great night. Yeah. It just seemed like everyone, and maybe you guys were just tired. I don't

know. You keep calling it a great night though, Kevin. Just say like, man, I was, I was buzzing. Like, I was drunk. I said I was. Yeah. I was like, yeah, I was feeling good. He keeps calling something else. But I think he's still drunk. I honestly think he's still drunk. No, I haven't been sober for a while now. Eddie. He always sounds like an addict. Eddie, you're looking, do you think there's any chance he's still buzzing? But to be fair, we just got home a few hours ago. Yeah, I think now at this point of the day, I think tiredness could be mistaken as for drunk.

We're all tired. Yeah. Yeah, everyone here's tired. Did you sleep at all last night? Yeah, slept, what do we sleep, three hours, four hours, whatever it was? But I don't sound, I don't sound, uh, topsy-turvy like he, like his voices right now. He sounds out of pocket. Yeah, very much so.

You're not drunk at all. maybe that's maybe he's drunk and that's why we're getting the odd version of Kevin the villain Kevin

me or asking me I don't know what you're doing I don't know what's going I mean he said I'm as sober as can be

been here we've been here we've been here all morning Bobby this sounds like this sounds like a cop cam like right now

the more he talks the worse it gets for him how much to take a breathyter right now I wish we had one. Come do it. I'm ready.

That's funny. Even like before we came on, I was like, hey, how long is this episode? How long do we have? And it just felt kind of weird. Kevin was like, we have 30 minutes. I was like, I can't be true. And he was like, okay, let me go check again. When it comes back, 22 minutes or something else.

I was like, that can't be true. I said, I'm going to put my headphones off. I got some other stuff to work on. We'll meet back in 10 minutes. Let me know how much audio we have. And so we look at it and Mike's like, oh, we have like 50-7 minutes. And Kevin comes back and he's like,

Duh, 50 minutes. And I was like, oh, okay, well, that's David goes. Well, that's what I said. I said we had 30 plus the interview. And I was like, well, and then he got kind of angry, but he's drunk. Now it makes sense. Yeah.

No. Dude, I'm telling you. No, I'm telling you. No, before the interviews, I said, without the interviews, we have like 30 to 35. Why would we ever not count an interview in the history of like how much time do we have for audio? Because you said how much time is all the other stuff that we have?

I never said. 30, 35. I know. It doesn't matter except now I think Kevin's drunk and that's hilarious. Kevin, you feeling good, man? Feeling great. Got an extra alcohol over there? Let's vote.

Do we think he's still a little buzzed? And then we'll go. Eddie. I'm going to go, yay. You guys convinced me. I wasn't totally convinced either. Kevin's like the nicest, like, sweetest guy, and he's been a little aggressive this morning.

And so I knew there was something off. But that is funny. Now it's funny. I'm not drunk. I'm definitely sleep deprived. Oh, now it's fake yawning, though. Now he's fake yawning to the officer. I was going to go the other way to the fake yawn.

He's fake yawning to the cop cam. Okay. Mike, you're not time to vote. I was convinced he was just tired until that fake yonning. Jan came in. Like, he's really selling it. He's selling it hard. Watch, officer, I can jump on one foot backwards.

Oh, I was tired. Hey, go Eagles. But you're not even an Eagles fan. I was last night. I was hugging Eagles fans, man. It was freaking awesome. Because? Because they were winning.

Pick six. Won money. Eagles won. She's lost. It's beautiful. Pigskin. He's just saying stuff. Tostino.

The set stage Okay Thank you This is our episode today. As you can tell, Kevin went to the Super Bowl. As you can really tell, Kevin went to the Super Bowl. But you can hear how all that went down. Thank you guys. And here is the episode. Last night, we went to NFL honors. We had pretty good seats, second row right behind. I'd say. Joe Burrow and Jamar Chase. And the camera was on them at parts of the night for significant amounts of time.

And they put them together on purpose. Because obviously it's a Bengals quarterback who was up for a couple of different awards. and arguably the best receiver in the game. So as they are roasting Joe Burrow or doing jokes about Joe Burrow, there we are. Right behind them. And we have to react. You have to like over,

you have to at least be aware that your face is on. So if you're not paying attention or you're not laughing at the appropriate amount, you're going to look like a douche. And if you look at the camera, you look like a douche. So I think we played it perfectly.

My goal was to not look at Joe Burrow when they were talking about him because you know you watch like the Oscars or any kind of award show and you see people behind them and they're talking about, say, Snoop, right? And everyone behind them is looking at Snoop, like, what's your reacting? I was like, do not look a joke. Do not look a joke. Yeah, I guess I didn't think about that.

I looked right. I just watched Snoop tell his jokes. Yeah, that's right. I got a lot of pictures out tagged to pictures like you and Eddie are at the award. I got more of that than I did presenting an award. Probably because it was way earlier in the show too. Well, what's funny is, you know, like NFL posts, the reels about all this stuff

and we got tagged on so many of those posts. So just like, is that Bobby Bowes? Is that producer? Yeah, there's a meme with Joe Burrow and just my head right behind him, the NFL posted. And it's just Joe Burrow laughing and like perfectly squared up is my face right over his shoulder. I think the main thing

that they did clipbones was the, you know, the joke about The Batmobile. The Batmobile. And I guess they're trying to make a thing out of how Joe was laughing and then he got serious. But they made fun of his defense. Yeah. And also So I would bet he knew that was coming. Oh, like they gave him a heads up?

Probably. Because even, like, say, like, the joke was about you and ha-ha, whatever, but he needs, like, a better best friend. You would be like, not funny. You would at least have to act it out, even if he felt like maybe they were on to something. Right. But we saw Belichick. Oh, yeah. And his girl.

I was backstage after I had finished doing my presentation. with Kyle Ushik, who was super nice. Lart. He's... What kind of personality? He's going to Harvard? No, I didn't know that. Wow.

I'm almost positive he went to Harvard. Like, because he's a good football player or because he's smart? Because I think I saw it on his Instagram. Okay. Like, if I think back why I knew that. No, he's super nice. I mean, he was just normal. It's not even that he was super nice or not nice.

Because if I say super nice, it feels like he was trying to be nice. Everybody was just normal. I kind of was just put in with a group. of people and everybody was just a peer and I'm really not a peer in that group but because I was in the group they just accepted me as a peer so I was back there with Snoop and Belichick and because there's a holding room and Eusecheck was back there a couple other guys that were just big so I knew they had to be a player but I don't want to be like which one are you oh like physically big yeah like much players right and the worst thing that I could have done is go hey which which one are you yeah um so I just

kind of ate some ham back there in the little ham station they have good food back there no just small food It wasn't like a full meal. Deming on stage. I presented to George Kittle for the USAA like the salute to service award. And as we're doing the speech, George Kittle tries to get up and accept the award early,

which would have thrown timing off because a video has to run. And George Kittle has a big personality. Obviously if you watch 49ers to know him, you know he's all over the place, like super funny, larger than life. he starts to get up. And in the middle of my speech, I'm like, do I stop?

And I'm like, George, hold on. George, hold on. And then I go back to the prompter. And I didn't know how it came off. I never even asked how it came off because if it didn't come off good, I didn't want to know. And two different NFL guys stopped me last night. And they were like, hey, we're glad you said that because George was going to walk up on stage. And they were like, it came off great.

So you knew the format of the presentation. Like, you're going to say something. They're going to play a video. Because we had to be moved. Yeah. Because we were standing on one part of the stage. They run a big video. overhead that runs on TV and when it comes back

we're at the front of the stage and Kittles not supposed to come up toward the front of the stage. And what do he? Because I didn't look back so what do he do? He got... He stands up. He's two rows behind us. He stands up and starts to walk toward it. And he stands up enough that I know he's not kidding. Because you could do like where you just kind of flint, like you're just kind of play, get... No, he's up.

And I'm like, George, wait. We haven't even said it's George yet. It's the funny thing. We never... I don't think we said it. George was the winner. I think you did. You didn't mention George. Whatever the case. He's ready to go. And he knew because his speech was in the prompter. He knew that was an award. He knew he won.

And it was a military service award. So we wanted to be able to say the right things. So that was good. We finished. It was kind of a mess getting our car, but we found it. We ended up walking to our car. We did. There was just a lot of people.

But again, a lot of really cool people that you can just look around and be like, holy crap, we can't believe we see this person. I ended up talking to the Chargers owners last night. Owners of the Chargers? And I was like, hey, congratulations. Like, they didn't even me to say it. Like, I'm the one guy. Thank you, Bobby.

Well, I think they also were like, why are we talking to eat? But I was thinking that, and they were thinking that. And it was real, they were really nice. Was this when you were talking to Ron Rivera, too? Were they all in the same area? So, yeah, somebody grabbed me and said, hey, come and talk to coach. You want to say hi to you. There's a hundred coaches there.

So I didn't know which coach it was. And I'm like, okay. And I go, and it was Ron Rivera, who was on our show a few weeks ago. And he's awesome. I'm like, hey, congrats on your job at Cal. We're talking about that. And as I'm walking off. whomever it was that introduced me to Ron Rivera says,

oh, and these are the owners of the Chargers. And I'm like, I have nothing to say. I don't know. I don't even, I know nothing. Yeah.

I don't know. So I'm like, how's it going? And they also were the same. Oh, there's, I see Deiont Sanders right there. We're going to have to break in a second because he's about to come up here.

I'll finish the story in just a second. But they, is he stopping by or no? Is he walking in another place? He's still walking. Okay. And they're turning. Are they coming up here?

But they are. going to another stage. Okay, good. Perfect. He's probably going over there. Yes. He has like 20 people around him so he didn't see us.

Yes. I saw him last night though. It was awesome. Yeah. So, I mean, I talked to him. Keep going with your story. Okay, so they pull me from Ron Rivera, and I'm just with the charges people,

and they think that somebody prominent's talking to them because somebody's introduced them. And I'm like, they're like, it's the guy from Weezer. We both were like, we should stay in this for a second because we think we're talking to somebody, so let's just be not. And I was like, congrats on your team.

And they were like, thanks. I was like, hey, how about that one year? I didn't know what to say. Dude, the good thing you can come up with something because I would have been like, Justin Herbert is so good, man. Well, then I did a mini, many TED talk on culture. I was like, you guys did it? You set the culture.

And I'm just looking to get out of there. Not because I don't like them. I don't know them. And also know they don't know me. And neither one of us really want to be here very long, waiting on the cars. And so I'm like, great, great. Congrats. Good luck next year.

I'll be rooting for you guys. And we walk off. And that's when I walked you and I go, we got to go. We got to find our car. Because I didn't want to stand next to them after I said I already had to go. Yeah. So that's why we went walking down the street to find our car. Yeah.

So I've never been part of that kind of experience, you know, when you see like the award shows. And afterwards, everyone's waiting to get their car. And all these cars show up and they start yelling like, Jamar Chase. Jamar Chase, your car's here. And a few times I feel like either Jamar or I think it was Belichick lost his ride because they were like, we're not waiting anymore. No Bill Belichick, moving on. Yep.

So we did that in our driver, whose name was Eugene, it was great. And so we were like, Eugene weren't hungry. And it was hard to get anything to eat in the middle of New Orleans because it's the Super Bowl and everything is packed. And things that are normal aren't even normal, they're rented out by other things. So we're like, can you drive us somewhere to get some food?

Because the NFL picked the car, so let's use the car. So he's like, yeah, no, problem. So we go and it takes us to like this old. It was a corner, what do you call it? Like a store? Is this like? I would, I would have called it a gas station, but it has no gas. There's no gas. It's just in the corner of a building. And it's old. It looks like the package has been there for 20, like the oatmeal pie's been there for 20 years. Everything's really tight. It felt like a New York bodega. And then what they call it? Outside. It's like it felt like a New York

store on a corner. So we go in, barely take your elbows and push it. him out because it's so tight and he's like order the murfysboro no it's not what it was called don't know what it was called i don't know order the mofus lava something like that it's like mufussah and he goes and get it hot so we walk in and we're like what we're not even at a restaurant i thought he was taking us to a restaurant is a convenient it was like we'll take two murphy's burrows one i can't eat cheese now it sucks and ed is a cheese and so we get on we drive back to the room they did look at you we were there like no cheese i think the whole thing's cheese Yeah, it's like Mufossum with no cheese?

Yeah. So we get these and we go back to our... Mufilada. Mufilada. That's it. We go back to our rooms. We're at different hotels, but we go back to our rooms and I eat it. It's pretty good.

It's pretty good. I think you don't like olives. It's olive-based. Like whatever is the spread is olive-based. And so I don't, I can't stand olives. So I think it could have been good if I liked olives, but to me the olives kind of just ruined it for me. I think it was pretty good. And I don't mind all-based.

olives, but like my stomach's a little weird today. Oh, really? Maybe my stomach just remembers what the gas station look like. Yeah, possibly. It was not. Well, it was, it was pretty greasy, and we ate it late. So it's never really good to eat that late and then go to sleep. I'm a little unsettled, if I'm being honest.

And usually I know what the unsettling is from, and I think that's about it. Bones, I'm on a bad, we're in a bad streak, dude. Lave night gumbo. It could be all that. Late night muffaladas, just not good. So we're back here again to. day and we got some pretty good guests. Again, we just saw Dion Sanders walk by and we almost cut because I didn't know if he was coming

up here or not. Did you want to talk about Ron Rivera or do you want to save that? You told me there's a good story about that. We'll save it. I don't remember the story. That it sucks. We'll save it because I don't remember it right now. But I did see Dion last night.

I was about to go on stage and he was sitting there because he was going out, I think, did he go up for the Hall of Fame when they pulled the Hall of Fame or something? No, he presented. He did. He presented with the Belich. Okay. I never saw that. because I was back stage.

So it was when they pulled me back. So I see him sitting on the side. He comes up and he hugs me. He goes, look at you. Look at you. So proud of you. I'm like what?

And like right as soon as like we're about to talk at all, someone grabs me and goes, Bobby got to go on stage. So I did not get to talk to him last night. But he was wearing like all black and had on sunglasses. And I was like, man, I wish I looked like that.

I know. A lot of those guys like, like, even Jane has had sunglasses. They look so cool. I wish we could do that. I'm in like a pink bowling shirt today. You know what?

last night too and you did tell me and I just kind of ignored it but I might have been the only person there without a suit. You were underdressed. Yeah, you were for sure. Definitely underdressed. But everyone on TV that saw me said I didn't even notice because that's what I was worried about. Every time I saw one of those headset guys come by I thought they're going to say like you have to go

in the bat. Well, you only see like nipples up from the people sitting there but you also had a sling on for your arm and I think the sling kind of looks like maybe a collar of a tuxedo shirt. Yeah. So that's that's the story now. we have a bunch of guests, so we're going to take a break,

and we will come back with hopefully the guests that show up. Also, Kevin's trying to finish the scavenger hunt. He's on a mission. Yeah. Dion Sanders. Emmett, great to see you again. Likewise, my friend. I was on Rich Eisen a few weeks ago. Rich loves you. I love you. And I was just telling the greatest hype story I ever got was me alone, about to dance, my final dance, sitting you in the hallway, and you being like, you got this far.

Ain't nothing you can do, but do what you've been doing. And I got like a tear, slapped the wall, played like a champion, walked out, won the mirror ball. It's my favorite. Oh, no, I'm glad. I was able to inspire you to your level. Double greatness. And I didn't even like chase you. It was like, God, put us together in a random hallway and a studio.

So Super Bowl-wise, do you travel with your rings when you come to a Super Bowl and you do this? I don't even wear my rings. I haven't seen my rings in over 10 years. Where are? Did it store it somewhere? They're in the safety deposit box, bro. That makes sense.

Man, I think, yeah. So we have friends. They got the fake trophy. You have a trophy? I don't even know what a trophy is at. You know you played, right? But you know you play, you have some. Yeah, I do remember I play.

And, yeah, yeah, that part I get. But the trophy is probably put up somewhere in storage. I don't have a whole lot of sports memorabilia in my house. Is it because there's so much? What's your favorite piece? What's one thing that you have at the house that it could even be like from high school, like that you love? I don't have nothing at my house. Is it because my wife won't allow my mirror ball in the house?

I don't even have the mirror ball. Mirror ball is in my restaurant in Vegas. And some of my high school stuff is out in my restaurant in Vegas. So I put a lot of the memorabilia stuff out there in Vegas or people who comes out to the restaurant get a chance to come see it. I even got high school jerseys out there. I have a jersey when I was 12 years old. that's out there as well where award number 45

Florida like back in back when I was back in Pensacola and little league football yeah that's awesome Emmett what was what hit do you remember the most like I'm a huge challenge the one my mama gave me when I was 15 that's the one that I remember the most

most hit that you don't remember is because you got knocked out and I got knocked out one time yeah when you were playing as a 12th 13 year old did you play every position were you the guy every position. We could put him a quarterback. Yep, yep, I did all of that. I did.

Matter of fact, our starting quarterback when I was 12 years old, Jody Hager, broke his arm a week before a playoff game or a championship game. A playoff game, really. And we ran like the wishbone. And so they moved me from that, put me back at quarterback. They kept moving around, quarterback. And then the game got tight. They put me at the quarterback position.

just told me to just keep grounding it. What level of ball to you did you have the most joy? Probably, probably pop warning high school. It was the most joy because I didn't have the pressures of, didn't think about pressure at the time because I was just out playing football, having fun with my friends and so forth. then when you get to high school, then things get a little bit more realer

because, living more real because you actually have the ability to either help a team win or cause a team to lose. And then you start to understand the importance of the game and the importance of your role. And then things just changed from that point out.

And I mean, I got four boys. They all play sports. And I'm in that sports world, you know, of just a lot of parents out there, different kinds of sports parents. What kind of sports parent were you, though? I was one of those kinds that were laid back, allowing coaches to coach my kids.

I would talk to my kids about finishing what you start. There's no quitting. You can start this. If you don't want to play it again, you've got to wait till after the end of the season, we won't do it again. If my kids had a bad, poor attitude on the field, I would definitely yell from wherever I'm at to try to straighten them up. But I allowed them to be kids because I wanted to be a dad.

I didn't want to. And sometimes I regret that I didn't go in a little bit harder or a little bit more. But I allowed them to have fun and allow them to find their way. And so that's the kind of pops I was. Now, I did talk about things and analyze things. with them, but pat him on the back. Great job. Hang in there.

We'll get the next one. I was at the game when you broke the record. You were playing the Seahawks. It was in Dallas. You broke the... Maybe it was... Maybe it was yards. It's been so long. But I remember they put the star together.

But I remember the Cowboys lost the game, but you had to go up and get the award after the game. And I always felt like this is like the front of the paper. Emma breaks the record. but we lost. But I was like, but he lost. Yes.

That had to be a... Bittersweet moment. Yeah. It was a regular season game. Yeah. But still it was a loss. It still was a bittersweet moment, though. I mean, it was a bittersweet all we around.

Because if you have a chance to do something so significant in terms of becoming the all-time leading rush, doing something no other man on the planet has ever done, you have this vision of how you wanted to happen. Just like everyone has a vision, how they want their life to go. Well, in my vision, I had Troy handing me to football, and I had Daryl Johnson leading me up the running lane, making the key blocks. I cut off of them and get the yardage. Had Michael Eden come down making a block.

And then afterwards, we all celebrated together. But that's not life. Life is reality. It doesn't happen that way. It's not always the way you want. It's never as perfect as you want it. But here's the thing. Coming up the sideline and not knowing how to even celebrate in the middle of a game,

I never did that before. When if I ever, I've never celebrated in the middle of a game. Never seen a football game just actually stopped for me. And so outside of being hurt. And so coming up the sideline and celebrating with folks, I run into Darryl Johnson, didn't even realize he was at the game. But he wasn't in uniform. He was calling the game.

Weird moment. but a proud moment because he was so instrumental in terms of helping me achieve that goal he wasn't on the field playing with me but he was on the sideline

cheering with me Michael on the sideline enthusiastically about it because I told Michael my rookie year that I wanted to become the all-time leader rush he laughed at me but now he's there celebrating with me understanding how bad

I wanted it. James Washington saw my goal list as a true rookie and saw the all time leading rush on it. So he's celebrating with me because they knew before everyone else knew how important that was to me. And so things just didn't work out. And Troy, I know he wanted to be there. He said he said during his retirement speech, I believe he wanted to be there one day when I break the record. In his mind, he's like, you're going to get it. I know he's going to get it.

And he wanted to be the guy to hand me the ball. I wanted him to be that guy too. And so, but as life would have it, we all leave the game at different points and times. And nothing is ever perfect. So we always have to adjust to life accordingly to where things are. Yeah, it was super moving to watch you get it. But I was like, I know he's such a team guy too. It's got to be weird that they didn't win the game.

It was against like a weird Seattle team. It is a weird, man. You can't celebrate. How are you going to celebrate? That's also when I knew the NFL wasn't rigged because they'd have rigged that one for sure if they could have. The story would have been good. Emma, you're here with Narcan, so what's happening here?

Yeah, I'm here with Narcan and Emergent. We're talking about opioid overdoses and continuing to spread the word around opioid overdoses, letting people know that even though the national numbers are dropping a little bit, but here in New Orleans, these numbers are steady rising. And so there's more work to be done, but we need everyone's help to pay attention. Most people walk around, I don't do drugs, I don't do this, I don't do that. But if some evil threat was to blow something through here that can take everybody out in the matter of seconds, it would be Fidna. And Fidnaw can hurt all of us at one point of time.

But this right here, there's Norgant Nasal Spray, is something that can reverse the opioid overdose effects right away. We have a method called lay spray stay. And that means lay a person down gently, insert the nasal spray into someone's nose, give them a couple shots there, call 911 and stay with the person. We want people to continue to have life the way that we want it and do it in the most respectful way

and be able to help and serve another person if that person is in need. there's nothing wrong with being ready and being responsible. And there's nothing more honorable than to help someone in need. I mean everywhere That's my Bobby I felt a little guilty last night Because I wanted to say hi But you know how As soon as I came over I gave you hug They pulled me back

Yeah Because you were sitting on the You're not guy. No, I know. And I felt the same way. Can you tell people before we go back? We spent, let me say this, I was with Kurt Warner last night. And if your nose was ditched and love a grandma, I used to say, like, there were, you can always tell how people feel about somebody when they talk about them when they're not there.

True. And Kurt Warner loves you. I love Kurt, though. Kurt is a great dude, man. We were just, it was just a Dion Love Fest. Oh. And so we were talking about you. I'll walk back and say, I'm going to try to say hi.

and Kurt and his wife were excellent. We sat with them for two hours last night. Oh, my God, you're awesome. Came back, saw you, and Kurt was like, how do you know Deion? And I was like, well, he let me sit with them at lunch the very first time. I went to this cattle call. Deion didn't have to go to the cattle call. I went to the cattle call because nobody even knew who I was.

About a show. Yeah, by a TV show. And I said, I'm there with like, I make it to the second day. And they have Deon there with like the real famous people. And I get elevated from like junior varsity to varsity. And nobody, everybody had their own clicks. And the person that was, like, so inviting was Deion. You could sit here.

It's like the Forrest Gump scene. And I said, I was like, wow, he was so nice, so kind. I said, then we just kept working again. It was like, felt like we were just naturally. We were starts to get hunch. Like we grew up together. I mean, it just felt like that. We was croaking and tubs.

And then we worked together for weeks and we did the show, loved the show. And then some executives changed hands. They shot it. They shot it down. But it was crazy. Like, our whole lives are going to have to change. We're going to have to relocate. And I didn't like that.

And I didn't like that either. You didn't like that either. And I just could imagine, because I was already thinking forwardly, like, okay, I'm going to have to take my sons. Because, you know, I had custody of my kids. You were in high school at the time. I was coaching. And I was going to take my kids and put them in schools in New York and I don't want to do this. Like, I don't.

And it just fell through. And maybe that's why. That's maybe why. We didn't do it right then. Yeah. So, but I love you. Like, you know, what's funny is, like, the performer part of you, like, I understand and I love it. But when people, like, start to slander, like, the person, I get upset.

Well, they don't know. Exactly. That's what it is. People pay for lack of knowledge. They don't know. They don't know. But, yeah. But I'm proud of you, man.

I've seen you sore. I'm talking about sore. You coach me in the MVP. Like a softball game, that's crazy. Oh, my God. You're crazy. You dominated in a softball game. You kept me in the rules where everybody played one inning.

Yeah, I mean, that's my question. Coach, why did you keep him in? Coach Prime's like, Bobby ain't leaving. And I was like, he was hot. You'd go with a hot hand. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Bobby, not only like hitting-wise, but fielding. Like, he was the MVP.

He was just showing up and showing out. And he was, see, you got to understand. Bobby's in perfections. And he wants to do everything right. And he wants to achieve and go to the highest level. So while everybody's there playing a softball game, he was playing a softball game. No, no, he was trying.

You wanted to win too, though, you wanted to win as bad as anybody did. They kept score. Yes, yes. If they didn't keep a score, I want to win. I agree. I agree. Of course.

So I was like seeing the talent, like, oh, oh, you come over here and sit down. Starskin Hutch, back together for that. You dominated that game, though, man. That's fine. Dominated. What's life like in Colorado? Love it, man.

Like, just living life. Aside from, like, the job. Like, what's that vibe? It's not even a job, man. Man, it's almost like it's fun. It's like going to be, we never know the voice of our navigational systems that we have on our phone and cars. But it's like I'm the navigational system for these young men trying to direct their paths through this and that to and fro. School, relationships, life, trying to get them to make sure they sustain for certain things and they don't take advantage of certain things.

I love it. I love the role that God has me in. I love coaching these young men and being able to form them and shape them and mold them. I love that, you know, the last three semesters, the highest GP way over 3.0 in the history of the school, like the highest GPA ever for the football team. I love all that. Nobody's gone to jail. Nobody's been incarcerated. You know, I love it.

I love being a coach. Is your office wide open to anyone? No, no, you can't just come. I don't play that. I don't play that. And you know what else? You can't come in my office. office with your shoes on because the carpet is like that thick and it's beautiful and you got to

be accompanied by someone I don't have private needs I always have someone there just the case it goes sideways and you try to claim like this happened or this was said no no I always have a witness in the room or you're coaching for your position but if they schedule a time with me they can but some guys come up you know Travis come up there every day he did some guys come whenever they want to because we've established that relationship but you got to establish the relationship to be able to do that. When I was growing up, my mom was an addict. I don't have a dad.

So there were people to step in my life, like a youth pastor, football coach. I feel like that's a responsibility that you take with some of those kids too. And I love it. I love it. I mean, I think not just football, some of those kids were called to me

and I was called to them for their lives to help them navigate through the storms and the pain because we're going to have this function. It's never a time where everything is going to be right. When you have all this together, some bulljunk over there's going to happen. Then you get that together, then some over here is going to happen.

So it's going to be tribulation, and I'm thankful that I've been allowed to go through so much bulljunk that I could speak intelligently on all the stuff that they're going through. That's why I'm navigating my sons. When I see Shadorerson up there and they're coming at him and he's sending the interview smiling and just giving it to him and giving it to him professionally, I love it because we prepare for these moments. How do you, as a dad, because I think this is a situation that I'm going to have,

because circumstantially we grew up very similar. Right. That's right. How do you as a dad, because your sons are not growing up the same way you did, right. How do you make sure they have values and they understand what they have and don't have? Values mean they don't have because most of us are raising cats and not dogs. What I mean by that is your circumstances, my circumstances,

the way we came up without and what we saw and what we witnessed and what scarred us and what prepared us and compelled us to get to the next level. That's our story. Now, when we get to be parents, we want to chaperone our kids, and we don't want them to go through that, but we want them to be a dog, but we raise the cats. So you got to make sure you take their cat over to places that they can be a dog, because they can't always be a cat,

because now when something, trial and tribulation, hit them upside the head, they're not going to be to handle it, because you've always protected them and guided them, and that can't be the case. let them touch that oven so they find out it's hot every now and then is that hard to do sometimes to let them touch the oven yeah yeah it is but they got to they got to go through it and all my kids have gone through things differently at different ages and stages and you could just tell me what happened and i could tell you which one of my five kids did it because i know them that intimately

and that psychologically i know them like a book and i know what they can with saying and what they can but and they can grow up in the same home and be two totally different kids and i have that Coach, we watched you last night with Bill Belichick at the NFL honors. He seems kind of like a funny dude. You know, like... Because away from the game has allowed his personality to come out. It has allowed him to set back and look and say, I'm so intense and I'm doing this and I'm not enjoying any of these moments.

And when people start passing away, like I've had the recent last couple weeks, people are very close to me. You start thinking about these moments, man, And in these moments you have left and you want to enjoy it. And it can be all about the challenge and the game. It's got to be about life and people, man. That's what makes us tick. That's what makes a smile.

People in life. You're talking about your sons playing football, being a basketball dad. Yeah. With your daughter. Yeah. Like, I love it. And she's learning right now because she made the decisions that she got to stick it out. I was trying to chaperone her and lead her to certain places.

But she wanted to do it on her own. And she made a good choice, but she has to fight it out as not as simplistic as she thought it was going to be. So we have some great conversations. And I talked to it the other day. And she said, Dad, you know, I just started reading the Bible. I'm reading Proverbs and I almost cried on the darn phone because it seems like now it's happening. Now the maturation, the maturity and the understanding and the wisdom is starting to happen.

So you're here with California almonds? I love it. I'm an almond guy. You know, like you lean and mean and winning the MVP. I got to stay leaning in mean too, man. I can't beat one of those. Did he really play? It helps me recover.

It keeps me steadfast. Keeps the skin nice and pretty and presentable. But it helps me stay darned, fit, and lean. Because when I'm hungry at night or hungry throughout the day, I just snack on an homage, man. I don't get that peanut butter jelly sandwich like I used to. Or that bologna and cheese like we grew up on or those being a salt. A fried bologna and cheese, too.

Would it make it even work? When it hump up? with a hump up in the middle so you know about that too I love you man I love you man I always think man you have no idea how many times I think about what woulda and coulda and should have

but from that time we spent together we formed the tremendous relationships and every time I see you on television or doing anything even the tours you do like that is my God my God this feels like you don't we don't miss a beat you know what I mean

all right well You're the bell of the ball here, so I'm going to let you be the bell, but love you, rooting for you, and thanks for stopping by. You know what I got to get you? She's like, I know Bobby Bones. Remember we met her in L.A. at the Chargers camp? Do you remember her in the parking lot? Of course. Oh my God, I do.

Same lady. And she's like, oh, my God. So she's like, he can stay up there. I was like, I'll just lie. It's, um, um, Reed, what, the bill's receiver from like the 90s. Andre Reid. His wife. It's his wife.

So I had to wait, not only was I waiting to get my name called to be a finalist. When I became a finalist, I had to go through another three years of waiting. So you make it to the top 15, that's the finalist, and then it goes from 15 to 5.

And then they vote on those 5 to go in. So I waited a long time That's crazy I had no idea It feels like Then I demand a recount from year one Yes

and my wife came with me the second time and then that's when the details will feel it in so I was pretty pleased with it you know, unlike when you see some statues, you're like, what the hell? Yeah, yeah, for the fact. I mean, even when you look at yourself in the mirror, you're like, or you're questioning yourself, do I look, do I look like that? Godly, like, shoot.

I mean, who had the statue recently? Ronaldo had a real bad one. No, but somebody just came in after him, right? So, Ronaldo had the bad one, and then the one that wasn't even a real statue was in D-Wade. Oh, that's the D-Wade. The D-Way one. That was the other one that was awful. Wage was bad.

Like, come on, dude. Like, respect the people enough to allow them to see it and have an opinion before you make it public. And I hope they're going to do him justice and go redo it. Which one of your teammates do you talk to the most? Probably a guy named Byron Chamberlain. came in with me in 95. He was a tight end. I was 196. I think he was a seventh rounder. I was my buddy. Still my boy to this day.

Played on the Super Bowl teams with me. Do you guys meet on the team? I met him actually. I met his buddy. We were coming to Denver for a rookie after the draft. I think it was our rookie symposium or something like that. A rookie camp. And I saw him at the airport.

And he was sitting by, he was just sitting on a wall waiting, you know, waiting for somebody. Now, I'm in, we're in Denver. There's the only black dude that's on the wall. I'm like, wait a man, that dude got to be going where I'm going. Ain't nobody else blacking. That dude, and he looked like a football player. And I'm like, let me just go figure out where he's going.

And sure enough, he was waiting for the Broncos bus to pick him off. Oh, talk about cameo for a second. The last thing I want to mention, though, is it, do you feel like it gave you an advantage playing and training in Denver when you played in teams where the altitude wasn't as high? Oh, yeah. It helped your cardio tremendously. Yeah, because there's no better place to train.

Yeah. And when you train at altitude and you're giving it everything you've got and you're expanding your lungs, when we play that sea level, it was so easy to be in a game and just be at, you know, being the 90%, you know, basically like energy-wise, like you never had to come down to 60 or 70 and then, no, you feel like you were always playing pretty high, which helps you on the field. But the neutralizer would be if you played in humidity, you know, that would neutralize the altitude. care where the hell you where you've trained and when you go

playing humidity and it sucks and drains all the energy out of you you feel it so if I'm going to get a cameo from you what's the deal yeah well so you call up I mean you don't call up I get the I get the idea do you get priority I literally have it I used cameo well there you go so just go ahead and book me

So yeah, I'm tired. I could go home right now to come back tomorrow night.

Absolutely. Like I could have gone home last night to come back tomorrow night because we did nothing today. Nothing. I could have stayed in bed all day. And I kind of did. The funny thing, I have a half a million views on an Instagram. I put up this morning because my bathtub is rusted out. I saw that.

Okay. So the funny thing is my stomach's been killing me. I mentioned that earlier. And for a whole day, it's been killing me. And food poisoning, which I think people throw that around pretty loosely. I always had food poison. I think I had food illness. Yeah.

Food not working well in your stomach. It wasn't violent. When I get food poisoning sometimes, it's violent and it's headache and it's crazy vomiting. Like I had diarrhea a little. bit. I've just been hurting so bad for like 36 hours. From the Mufmuf. Yeah, from Mufosa, the bad guy in Lanking. I saw that when Eddie brought a target to him and I was like, I don't like thinking about it. He's like you wanted any? I was like, no. Did you hear him? He doesn't want to talk about it, Kevin. He does not want to

It's still in the fridge that the other half of it is. Throw it away. You want to spend the wheel to see it? Been away to get a Super Bowl ticket right there. Eat the other half of the muffling. There we go. So I posted that video on my Instagram. and I got a bunch of texts like, why are you staying in such a disgusting room? It's not. It's a nice room. It's a sweet.

It's fine. It's fine. It's fine. It's fine room. I mean, it's not like it's Carlton, but it's a nice hotel room. It's an okay room. But my answer was...

Which is the ours. We're in the living room. We're in the living room of said rooms. I think ours was built in the 30s, and it remained the same way. My point is there are no rooms. Right. So it doesn't, to get any room was going to be difficult.

What's funny is when you go down to like any kind of front desk and say like, hey, like say your situation, hey, there's rust in my shower. They'd be like, okay. And? And what? That'll be no extra charge. I know. So I have no complaints about the room. I got into, I took a bath in that thing twice.

That's tough. Yes. Because my stomach is hurting so bad. And so I won't say it was from it. It was from somebody that's pretty famous. And I texted the image over to Matt Stell, who's here with us and still and sleeping on the bus. He's been sleeping on the bus under the overpass for the last three nights. Shut up.

I'm having the best New Orleans experience out of all of the time. He literally is. So I texted to Matt. I get this text. I'll just read it to you. Because it does look. It looks like dokey in the bathtub as much as it does anything else. I stop watching immediately.

Yeah. And the person who texts me said, JFC. JFC, just. No, Jesus. Oh, I got it. Got it. Got it. That bathtub. Are you in the Hilton? Question mark? And I said, no, that would be a luxury. They have me in that blank, whatever man. I said, I think it's the NFL employee rookie hazing. And then he said, holy F. So I text that over to Matt and I said, I've made it when a childhood hero has a professional. or compassion for me. So I don't even care. I will not take a bath anymore. I just want to go home after the game. I'm tired. We got to get home, dude. I'm tired.

I think if we got here a day earlier or a day ago, it would have been great. But yeah, that's what's up. Now, I have the Super Bowl tickets. Let me ask you as a question. We have passes to go to the pregame concert where Post Malone is playing, I guess. Oh, nice. Now we can go to that. Is this a situation where I only have four?

It was. I only had two, but apparently there are so many people that are asking me things. I just say yes to everything. Smart. And then all of a sudden I have extras because I've said yes to what I think is the same thing, but it's multiple people. So they were like, do you want to go to the pregame tailgate

with Post Malone performing? Do you have the ticket anywhere? Yeah. To my back back. And I was like, sure. And they asked me again. And I was like, why I told me yes? But I'll just say yes again in case.

So like reading Kevin both showed up with packages of tickets. Wow. So I have six of them now. Okay. Eddie and I went to the commissioner's dinner last night. Well, that was something else. That was different. That was different.

That's where you walk in and you're like, oh, wow, this is something I've never seen before. Like, this is a lot of money. I probably would have been the poorest person in the room, but Eddie was there. I was sure it was the poorest. The owners had their own, like, booths with their team logo on it. Yep. And it, like, circled the stage. And it was like each of the owners had their own booths.

booth. And no one was at the Cowboys booth, Mike, so I told Bones, let's just sit there until they kick us out, but we didn't. We didn't know anybody. And so we walked over with Matt Castle, who I do my other show with. And I don't like to be the tag. Because that's like his group. But he was like, I never been to this. So I don't know what to do. And I was like, we'll just go together. And eventually one of us will find comfort and the other person can just hang out. And then if anybody wants to bail, just bail. It's kind of our rule. Well, he found comfort immediately because it was like all the ball players. So we walk up immediately and I spot Belichick and I see Matt, Matt and Eddie were sitting over there and I said, hey, Belichick's over here. And he's like, okay, cool. So it comes over and talks to Belichick. And I was standing in this place and the circle like collapsed in front of me where I wasn't standing in the circle anymore. So I was just like on the outside of the circle.

Yep, but you're hanging. You're hanging. So like I was looking over the shoulder into the circle. and I was like, you know what, I'm out of here. So Eddie and I went walking through like a different area. Now, I took no offense to it because Matt was great about, hey, this is Bob. But people kept walking in. And as soon as that circle closed, I realized I wasn't cool enough to be in that circle.

So we went into another section and it just opened up bigger. We thought it was like some like sex part. It was like a red tunnel. They were wearing masks. That's what we thought. That's what he said. Some guy came out of it. We're in New Orleans.

And somebody said, what's back there? And he goes, well, that's for the V VIPs. No. We thought he was serious. Okay. What does a V stand for? And Eddie goes, this is like that Nicole. I said, eyes white shut.

Immediately I knew what it was. And so we walked back, but it just opens up. And there's another jazz band on stage and Hall of Famers everywhere. They have gold jackets. The hilarious move would have been for me just to wear a gold jacket. No. Just the same color. Like the mother-in-law wearing white.

Yes, yes. The biggest person that I saw, and I guess you saw. and I guess you saw him, Kevin, whenever we were doing the daytime stuff, Andrew Whitworth is huge. Monster. He's like a basketball player except a football player. Yeah. Like as thick and big as an offensive lineman, but he's got to be six, seven, six, eight. And like well proportioned.

A monster. Oh, do you look interesting? Which area? Mostly bottom half. Got it. And then I made my way up. Got it. But when you do look at the.

of people, his head is above everyone else. When you look at the sea of big people, his head was above everybody else. So at this point, we know nobody. And so... No one. We're just walking through. And I can't eat because my stomach's bad. And I think Eddie's eating a little bit.

I wish I could have, like, eating something. And somebody comes up to me around the corner and grabs me and hugs me. And I don't see well. And so I just, it's just a woman. And she's like, oh, so I just fake for a sense. second like I know who it is and she pulls back and it ends up being Leanne Toey who is the blindside. Sandra Bullock.

Well, not Sandra Bullock. Well, no, no. Yeah, she plays. Senator Bullock played her. And so I know the Tui is pretty well. I know their son really well. He's a close friend. I mean, as close a friend as you can be without being like a main, main close friend.

Like we talk two or three times a week. And he's now like one of the part of the administration at Oral Roberts. Like he's eventually going to be a big athletic director. but he was at UCF. I met him in Arkansas when he was a grad assistant. That's how I met him. Like on a golf cart, right? He picked me up, and then I didn't know he was the kid from the freaking blindside,

and then afterwards, someone was like, you know that kid, S.J? And I was like, the GA. He said, yeah, that's a blindside kid. And I was like, the actor? And they were like, no, the actual one. I was like, oh, how about that? And so we just stayed in touch, but we talked to that for half an hour. Yeah, we did.

Awesome. And not only that, and I would never reveal things that I can't reveal, it was an awesome conversation because they were giving us some dirt. Even on like coaching stuff. So it was good. I liked them anyway. And usually I would feel bad that I'm keeping someone because I was like, if you guys want to go back, get back to your other rich people, you should.

No, they like you. They like talking to you. We talk forever. Dude, I was in all the dirt on coaching. athletic directors, NFLT. It was awesome. Nice. Because he, S.J.'s dad,

called DeGriz. He was their... Announcer? Yeah. Play-by-play guy. From Memphis? Yeah. Really?

Right? He was not... Or maybe color. Now he had to be play by play. Or announcer. One of the things. Okay. I think he's their TV color guy.

One time, though, I said, hey, who's your favorite color guy? And I said, my favorite color guy is Frank Thomas. Oh, my gosh. And I think it was Ryan heard. Yeah. Ryan was like, what, what? You can't say that. I said color analyst.

Analyst. And you sure shouldn't rank him. Yes. I was shocked. I did not know what he was talking about. I was like, Frank Thomas one of my favorite color guys. It's not. That's exactly how you said it.

I didn't think, and Ryan's like, I mean, like, what are you talking about? And it only took for him to go to, I was like, oh, no, no, no. Color Color commentary. Yes, color commentary. So I kind of felt bad because I had passed this last night to go to Travis Scott. No, well, I had those.

I didn't want to go to Travis Scott. I don't care about Travis Scott. I don't even know. A song? No, don't know it. Just a shoes. Yeah, hey, yeah, we know those. But we had blinkwanted to Megan Stallion.

We could have gone to that. I love Megan Stallion, dude. I know, dude. But I did say Eddie and I's name. Eddie and I's name were on the list. So I sent it to Eddie and I was like, your name's on. You can go by yourself. I don't, and I guess you didn't go.

We didn't go. No. There's no, there's no, we. You can't take anybody. Well, that's probably why. I was going to be Bobby. Interesting, because I bet you get so crowded. They wouldn't check an ID.

Yes, it could have worked. Yeah, they were probably pretty lax. Yeah. Probably, but it was VIP entrance. It was worth the shot. I don't know, man. I would have admired you for taking the shot. Yeah, we were going to, but I think by the time we met up, it was only like an hour left.

And we're like, you know what? By the time we get there. won't even be. Honestly, the way to get into all these things is pretty legit. Like, they just scan your face and, okay, there you are. Eddie Garcia, you're good to go. Like, I don't think you can fake anything. Really? Like, if they scan Kevin's face is like, you are not Bobby Bowens, get out of here. Yeah, I guess it's extra secure. I tell you, if this were like a normal Thursday night or Friday night and I were walking in some of the places in New Orleans, I was walking last night, and it wasn't Super Bowl weekend. I would not feel safe. Yeah, that makes sense.

It feels so safe here now. Dude, this place is. Locked down. It is. There's a National Guard everywhere. FBI. Cops everywhere. Were you woken up by a marching band this morning?

Uh-uh. Okay. There's a parade going right by our hotel room. They do that every morning. That's how they wake up in New Orleans. No rooster, just brass band? Just a second line brass band coming down through the streets. The band go.

And then I was like, all right, let me try to go back to sleep. And I did. I fell back to sleep and I woke up and I was like, hey Kevin, I think they're done. And as soon as I said that, I heard the MC go, we're just getting started in here. All right. So that didn't happen to you. It did not happen. The New Orleans rooster.

How far are you guys from this hotel? Two blocks. So we left. I felt bad. I told the day. I was done so sorry. I just don't feel good. I was feeling worse since the night was going.

so we met the medical we met the medical doctor the head of NFL medical who lives by us in Nashville and because his wife

comes up to me goes I'm a huge fan and I was like thank you for just talking to me because nobody was talking about I'm a huge fan of you yes that was exactly what it was

she was like I'm sorry if I'm talking your ear off I'm like I just don't want to talk to somebody like please stay with us but she's like yeah my husband what's up she said my husband

works at Vandy and has been head of a bunch of sports teams and is now head of medical CMO of the NFL. Chief medical officer. Thank you, Eddie. Thanks, sir. You got it. And so he's in New York a lot at the office, but they get to live in Nashville and we talked to them for probably 15 minutes or so. And we're walking out and I saw Jared Allen, who was a monster.

And I hadn't met him until probably like a month ago when he came. I'm over to the house to do the other show. Huge personality. Had a cowboy hat on. Yes. And he got, and so when he came over and did lots to say, I didn't know how sensitive the Hall of Fame was to him.

And I started the interview with Duda suction on the Hall of Fame. Like, I didn't know. I'm glad I didn't know because I wouldn't have got the good stuff. And I think at times, like I know artists so well in Nashville, there are places that I won't go because I'm sensitive to knowing them. Like I wouldn't ask Stel about a recent circumcision.

Correct. Because I know that's still sensitive to him. And it's actually sensitive physically. It's actually sensitive. Yes. But I like literally sensitive. Yeah. I started the interview in a very physical sense.

Like it sucks you know in the Hall of Fame and he went off like 20 minutes. And so he got in that night before. And so I went up and I was like, I don't want to bother him. I was like, dude, I'm so happy. And him and his wife turned around, and we talked for like 10 minutes. He's huge. Then I was like, do you see drones over your house? That was literally what I was talking.

Oh, no, dude. Because they live right by me. Do you say yes? She said that she didn't know they were drones. She was like, and then we had some other, we worked through theories. But I was super happy. He got in the Hall of Fame. And then we walked back and I went to bed.

How does, real quick about the Hall of Fame thing. Like, how does that work? Like, you know you're eventually going to get in? No. So the crazy thing was. Venetary did not get in. Everyone expected Venetary. Kevin's crying.

You mentioned a freaking patriot. He starts crying. Did you know, Gus Kelsey's up next year? Yeah. Huh? You think he'll make it, though? No, I don't. Not a year one anyway.

And they used to show up and let you know in a certain way, but I don't think Jared would care that I say this. They let Jared know, like, a week ago. you going to that party last night, going in a back way. What was it like to get into this thing? It was absolutely terrible. We were in a line that was legitimately a half a mile long around. We could have just, we walked up to the entrance And he was like, yeah, the QR code line is right here We're like, oh, all right, that's cool So we walked, we could have literally just turned around

And then got in line and then we had to go around Or what was it? It was just a QR code ticket that you scan on your phone Oh, got it got to go. Yeah, but it was like 3,000 people and how long until you got in? It was a little over an hour You waited in line for an hour? Yeah

Dude, yeah, I would not have done that I would imagine Mike, you're a massive post-blown fan And so was it worth the hour? Yeah, I didn't care about waiting, but it did suck because we kept going. And then we're like, surely the line will end here. No, it went all the way around. We made some friends in line. It was fine.

It's like six flags when you get up to the front, except when you turn the corner, it's not actually the front. It's the wraparound where it's... I walked up there when they were first, like, queuing up on my way to supper. And it looked like the worst morning you've ever had at TSA. Oh, yeah. It was because it's right there at the casino. It was just like the what I saw, it was just right. It was just like down the block and around.

So Mr. WME, how did you get in? Uh, differently than that. Did you go to whatever like the drop-off point was? Like, this is the drop-off point going there. They just added it. I was, I was late. I think he started at 9.30. I didn't get there like 945.

That's so funny. He's like, I got indifferent. So, Reed, how was the show? It was really good. Was it just him? Or did you see somebody before him? No, it was just him. He brought out jelly roll.

Little dicky. Mike, how long was the performance hour? One hour. And he played hit. He played country stuff, hip hip hip hip hop stuff. Was that a good show? Yeah. Was it in the theater?

Kind of. It was just standing. It was like a standing theater. But then they had bleacher seating on kind of both sides. Was the sound appropriate for a concert? Yeah, it was. Actually, it was quite. It was good.

So it wasn't like a quickly built together stage where it sounds terrible. No, no. And it was all. I did not notice a track. Like everything was coming off stage. Like even he had a couple background singers on there to sing kind of the like trappy parts. But like Derek Wells was playing guitar. And what's the kid that wrote?

Chandler Walters. Had some help. Yeah, I was playing steel for him. Band was great. It sounded really good. Did you stay until the, you both stay to the end? You stay the end? Yeah, I left a little early.

I left after maybe one song left. Was it hard to get out? No. That's fine It was hard for me to get out Because you and young grave You're too tangled up I mean we already got deep in there

Hypothical question If somebody calls you today and says, I got you $1,000. I'm going to give you in one hour. Sounds pretty cool, huh? Yeah.

Like for nothing. I have $1,000 I'm going to give you in an hour. What's a catch? No catch. You just get it. And there is no catch. There's $1,000. You get it in 59 minutes and 59 seconds,

and I'll be right over there to give it to you. You kind of get excited. Yeah. Right. I'm getting excited. Right. Yeah. Let's say the person shows up in 59 minutes,

59 seconds, knocks on the door. and then goes, oh, crap, I messed up. Here's $100. I don't know. I feel like this is an analogy. Expected value. This is a parable. I don't like where this is going.

What happens? So are you a grateful for the $100 that you didn't have before the day started anyway? Because you didn't have $100 before 59 minutes and 59 seconds ago, nor the thought. of an extra $100. But because someone said, hey, I got $1,000, that $100 hits a bit different. Are you, A, more excited you got a $300 or more upset that you didn't get the $1,000? B, extremely upset that I didn't get the $100,000. There's no $100,000.

Oh, is that $100,000? In my mind, I was $100,000. In my mind, I was $100,000. You're carrying the $2.000. It's very disappointing that I didn't get the $1,000. Like, you give me $100. Like, why did you even tell me there was $1,000 in there? Keep the 100. Get out of my face.

So you're disappointed. Yes. Because even though there was no $100. Yeah, you told me you were going to be here in a 99 seconds. What if I just showed up and said, hey, I got $300 for you. Would you like that? That's different. 100%?

I'll have a great day. 100,000 think those are all off, though, because you, like, really were excited. I was like, wow, it's a lot of money. Okay. Take a breath. Kevin, your thoughts. Yeah, I'm with Eddie. This is like another form of blue balls, basically.

Like, you think you're getting something and then it's only $100. But you're getting more than you ever thought you were. Yeah. But when your mindset is like, I'm getting this and this is what you get, you're grateful maybe after the fact. But initially, you're like, man, I was ready. You're never grateful that you got $100 because you were supposed to get $1,000. But I would be, I would be grateful. It just might take some time, though.

Matt. I don't know. I think I might disagree. Like, I would be like, oh, okay. You know, yes, would I rather have a thousand? $1,000, yes. However, $100 is okay too. Yeah, I think I would be that way as well. It would take just a split second of reframing my mind. It's like, oh, I want to get $1,000. Oh, it's only $100. Well, I guess I was never even getting $100, so it's going to be awesome.

So anyway, there's no reason I told that story. No. Oh, my gosh. I thought I was about to get my Super Bowl ticket revoked or something. Here's the thing. Okay, you all are. But anyway, so. What made you think of that? Now I'm about to tell you the real story as to why I thought of it. So I've been tracking down, trying to find Kevin's ticket, which to get in to like the standing roomish places, it's like $30,000. If you want a ticket, ticket, it's like $3,000, $4,000. I've got to find him a ticket, whatever.

So I've been going through this. He even was so kind to send me a bunch of links to get him tickets. Which I thought was hilarious. That's funny, Kevin. He was like, here you go. Were they like really good seats? He was just like, listen to him's like, here's stubb up. I was like, I know the places.

In case you need help. He just figured you would be alone with your thoughts and your phone a lot yesterday. I thought you might want to quit playing Candy Crush or whatever. Let me streamline it for you a little bit. So he sent me a whole page of links. Just Apple Pay. It's evening. So I have all the tickets, by the way.

So nobody's not getting a ticket. Yes. The new development is because I did NFPA, F. Honors, which this wasn't my understanding, they gave me two tickets for doing honors. It was one of those things like these tailgate passes, where I just said yes to everything and didn't know I was getting multiple tickets. So I have six tickets now. Whoa. Whoa. Well, there are six of us, so it works. Yeah. Eddie's looking to bring somebody else. I was like, uh, so. By my calculations, that's the appropriate amount of tickets for you to have. But it means, but it means I don't have to

I like Matt, Matt, Matt's going now. Let's go, Matt. Kevin, I have to spend money on the ticket. I have six. However, because. I'm about to teach you with the analogy. I'm about to get to the analogy, but go ahead. Because you did NFL honors, which is a very exclusive.

Like to do it on the show. Yeah, like you did a great job, a plus job up there. Like, are these seats like awesome? So here's the thing. Here's the thing. No. Okay, okay, okay. Okay.

Okay. So the six tickets that I got, the four that I knew I was getting, which was the four that we had been fighting over, they were like, they're going to be great seats and down in the lower bowl. They're like, it might be down corner or in the dome, but it'll be in the lower bowl. They're not the lower bowl. They're like to hop at the stadium.

Oh, oh. Yeah. So they did the $1,000 thing. They did. We got $100. Now, if you were going to, I looked at them up, if you're going to buy them online, it's like $3,200 a ticket, right? It's still in.

in this dome. I've not, you've been in this dome? Yeah. I was here for the Sugar Bowl when we were played Ohio State here, actually. Mallet? Yeah. We lost that game, right? Yeah, but they had to vacate it, so I not won the tail me at that night.

We don't get the win on that, though. No, that's true. But I did get to come to New Orleans and be an absolute idiot. And the same stadium, though, right? This one kind of, does it kind of sit taller and? Yeah, it's great. And there's no such, listen, when someone who goes, there's not a bad seat in the house, they're lying.

Because it doesn't matter what the house is. There are seats that are, but they were acting like this dome's a little different where it's not as bad up. So for the tickets are the $100. But you guys didn't know where the tickets were anyway. Nope. So you weren't even guaranteed a thousand. You really could have kept that to yourself a bit.

Well, to me it was $1,000. Yeah. And Jerry, who you guys know, my agent was pissed. He was calling people today going, these tickets suck. And I'm like, dude, dude, we're good. Yeah. Like, there's no need to fight for something that we're in the door. We're fine.

Yes. So the other two that I have from honors, they're mid. Not lowerable No Yeah like three Like level three or whatever So we're four and two Instead of being Kevin by himself

Matt by himself I thought for Cheryl's by myself No That was okay Which is great Yeah So we have to like pass out the tickets But

Somebody can go with me And set a little closer It's not a whole lot closer Yeah I'll do that I'll go ahead and do that And then we have six of these tailgate passes, which kind of happen the same way, which is tailgate Superdome

1.30 to 4 p.m. That's a nice ticket. Private party and it's one. Yeah, it's a pretty substantial ticket. Listen to that ticket. That thing's real buzz. You can whip your kids with it. You make your kids to hay with that ticket. Yep. So that's where we are as far as the Super Bowl. Now, the beginning of the show, we talked to, because what we're going to do is we recorded all this and we were doing the post-super Bowl

at the very beginning of this. So you heard everything that we haven't seen yet. But that's a situation. I want to get everybody their tickets individually tonight while we're in the same room because the transferring is always weird trying to transfer tickets

and then let me look at my notes and say there's anything else. I think I'm good. We did become friends with Kurt Warner and his wife. Did I mention that in the other part? We talked a little bit about it. Yeah.

I saw my Starbucks this morning. You did? Yeah. That's cool. Yeah. He was just waiting for his coffee along with 100 other people and I was just like, cool.

That's cool. man. We met the trophy last night. We did meet the trophy. He was real nice. Yeah, we're very nice. Didn't talk a lot. You know, here's the thing.

The Lombardi? Yeah. Or the hunt? The Lombardi is the main trophy. Yeah, that's the Super Bowl trophy. What's the Hunt? AFC. Is it what it is?

Yeah. Okay. So you could go up and take a picture beside it and you couldn't touch it and someone had to take the picture for you. But the person that was taking the picture was like a 62-year-old white man who did not know how to take a picture. picture. That's the worst.

Like he was operating iPhones? Yes. Bro, that is just a mistake. The picture I have of it, I didn't even want to post it. I had to do Tokyo filter, so it looked halfway decent. Tokyo, yeah. And that's like total gray. So it's not good.

I haven't even looked at mine. Oh, no. Papal was running the digital department. This was just a bad fit. Yes. You know? I think he was protecting it, but he was also being photographer. Any other thoughts?

We met Belichick's girl was with him. she's 24, like in person. She's 24 as long. She's very pretty. Good for coach. That just goes to show you that if you try hard and believe in yourself and you work very hard, success can open up doors you never imagined. Because Bill Belichick could not take that picture right now.

He is dating someone that could take the picture. Did you see the picture they took with all the rings? He had all his rings on, I think it may be seven or eight because he has also the when he was coordinator, Super Bowl rings. and she had her championship ring on. Yes, she did. But it was from cheerleading in college. She was like, we all have our championship rings.

and colored that. Fair enough. Can we clean it up? He's a part owner. Let's just, no, he's, he, the Steelers have a majority owner,

and I think he's the second owner, so he's a minority owner of the Steeler. So we went to his, to his house and he lives on, one of his houses. Yeah. Florida house. So he lives on Disney,

in Disneyland. So there's a neighborhood in Disneyland. And each house is like, millions and millions, and he bought two of them are beside each other. And you go into, one of the houses. We took pictures.

I can say this. Only Jared Allen's son and I signed NDAs and we're done with that at this point. Good, good. He has the ride in his house. That's at Disney, the haunted mansion. The haunted mansion. You can get in it and it's like the elevator. The ride. He has... The one where the room closes in on you and... Yeah, I'm

out on that, but that's awesome that he has it. Every room is a different... You can go into like the Lion King. The Toy Story Room. A Star Wars. House of Wonderland. When things open, the bedrooms. Crazy.

It's unlike anything I've ever seen. Like literally, a house. But it's like their second house next to their other house. And I would bet each house is worth $10 million. And that's the party house. And we went in, Eddie saw some Papi Van Week and went right at it. I'd never seen it before. And he was like, I'm getting it.

He started drinking it. Out of a red solo cup. See, I feel like that's an allegory for our lives. Yes. You know, we go high, low on them. Yes. We have a taste for the final things, but we hadn't forgot what we come from. That's right.
