This is an I-Heart podcast.
Guaranteed Human.
On paper, the three hosts of the Nick Dick and Poll show are geniuses.
We can explain how AI works, data centers,
but there are certain things that we don't necessarily understand.
Better version of Play Stupid Games, Win Stupid Prizes.
Yes.
Which, by the way, wasn't Taylor Swift, who said that for the first time.
I actually thought it was.
I got that wrong.
But hey, no one's perfect.
We're pretty close, though.
Listen to the Nick Dick and Poll show on the iPod.
I heart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
It's Financial Literacy Month, and the podcast, Eating While Broke, is bringing real conversations
about money, growth, and building your future.
This month, hear from top streamer, Zoe Spencer, and venture capitalist Lakeisha Landrum
Pierre, as they share their journeys from starting out to leveling up.
There's an economic component to communities thriving.
If there's not enough money and entrepreneurship happening in communities, they failed.
Listen to Eating While Broke from the Black Effect Podcast Network on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Hey, I'm Dr. Maya Shunker, a cognitive scientist and host of the podcast, a slight change of plans, a show about who we are and who we become when life makes other plans.
I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long the need to change.
We have to be willing to live with a kind of uncertainty that none of us likes.
You can have opinions.
You can have like a strong stance.
And then there's your body having its own program.
Listen to a slight change of plans on the I-Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
This is a podcast called 25 whistles talking football.
And they all wear a whistle.
Yeah, it's stupid.
But what would you expect?
It's a podcast.
Call 25 whistles
25 whistles
We're back
Yeah
I got to be honest
I didn't know
What I interrupted you guys or not
Because you guys are so used to singing together
You know I didn't want to mess up the flow
Oh like the duo that we are
Yeah
We did though
We didn't give a crap
We're back for another season
We had a press conference earlier
And we announced it
And look at us
We're back
We're back
Back back
I thought what we'd do
the first episode is we haven't been back in like, I don't know, a month and a half, two months.
Everybody has like a version of a personal sports thing that's happened to them over the past
month and a half or so. I mean, I can tell all of you yours, but I don't think I need to. Okay. Eddie,
I'll go with you. Now, what's mine? Zeeke. Oh, God. What do we do? Speaking of back.
Zeke's back. Go ahead. He says he's still going to chase that ring. He's got some more chasing to do.
How do you feel the Cowboys have brought Zeke back?
Let me tell you, dude, I got the chance to, when the draft happened, I thought that we were going to go after Jonathan Brooks, who's the Texas running back, and he went by, we didn't get him, we traded down for an offensive lineman.
Great, right?
Awesome.
I figured at some point in the draft, we would get a running back, we never got a freaking running back.
So I'm thinking, what are we going to do?
They got Zieg.
I think me and the rest of Cowboys Nation is like, what the, what are we doing?
doing? I think you still got a little tread on that tire
though, I'll be honest with you. Dude, what do we do?
They're not going to use them as a one.
They'll use them as a... Okay, so who's our one?
Well, I think they'll use them as a 1B.
I mean, I think he'll get a decent amount of carries.
He'll get 12 carries a game, 10 carries a game.
Deuce Vaughn? He ain't going to carry a whole bunch, but yeah, he'll make some carries.
But, I mean, Deuce Vaughn is what Pollard kind of was
before Pollard tried to be the feature back.
Rico Dowdell?
Okay. I mean, dude.
That's what's going to happen, though.
Yeah.
But also, a running back, you can almost grab a
free agent and get lucky.
Yeah, some people will get cut in camp or something like that too.
Yeah.
Because we've learned.
You can only hope.
The running back position, if it's just about running,
there are a lot of guys that can do that pretty well.
It's like pickleball.
A lot of guys can do it pretty well.
Hard to be elite.
Hard to be Christian McCaffrey,
but he can also catch him play out of the back field.
I think the Cowboys are going to be fine with Zeke.
I think they'll be fine matching it up.
Zeke, I think Deuce Vaughn.
They'll grab somebody off the wire.
I mean, we did end up getting a lot of O-Lignment
which means like, hey, you really don't need to be a great writer.
You got an O line to separate the boys in the middle.
But you need to be a good runner at least.
Right.
So I don't know.
I wasn't feeling great about it.
I was shocked.
I think we all were kind of shocked by it.
I don't hate it as a non-Cowboy fan.
No, you are a Cowboy fan.
I'm not a Cowboy fan.
I used to not be a Cowboy fan.
But you're a Cowboys fan.
Now I am, I root for the Cowboys, but I'm not a Cowboys fan.
So I can look at it still with perspective.
I think it's fine.
I think it's fine.
But you are a Cowboys fan because, like, Jerry Jones.
He's your dude now.
But Jerry Jones has taken me from being a non-Cowboys fan to...
I mean, I'm not a Cowboys fan, but I can root for them.
Okay, I'll take it.
You know, I'm kind of in the middle.
I do root for the Cowboys.
But they burned me twice last year.
Eddie told me to bet $1,000 on DAC to be the MVP, so I did.
Man, shocking, but I thought last year that was finally going to be our year.
You thought that was the year, but it's probably this year.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
It made you in one year too early.
With Kevin, I would say his big sports catch up is just what he was able to go do in Boston.
I had the best week ever.
ever.
I mean, SpongeBob said it best.
Best week ever.
Except best day, but I guess it was kind of almost a day, but over three days.
It was, I mean, technically it was four.
Three games, but the four days, I mean, the day I didn't go to a game,
I still went to Fenway and got a private tour.
What was the point of the trip?
And got to go behind the monster.
Walk us through it.
Walk us through it.
So Wednesday, I get there Wednesday, game five of the first round Heat Celtics.
I go to that game.
Die Hard Celtics fan.
Blow them out.
Yeah, diehard Celtics fan.
I went with eight, nine of my family members.
was awesome. They blow them out by 30
from the get-go. It was great. There's
a party on the street after. You would think we won the
freaking champion. Did you like to blowout?
I did. It was
nice. Like, we've talked
about this before. I like a blowout. I'd rather have a blowout
just because I want to win more than I do want to be entertained.
Yeah. I think I'd rather have that. If you can't guarantee me
entertaining game and we win, I'd sign up for that, but you can't.
Exactly. So I want the guaranteed blowout,
which you can't really do that either. Yeah. So I'm
okay with that. And so that went really
well. And then we go to the Red Sox game
Thursday afternoon. Same family
members had great seats behind home plate to the right a little bit.
What the?
Like, how much were those?
I don't even know. My uncle bought them.
I don't know.
Uncle money, bet.
Yeah, my uncle.
Yeah, I just showed up.
I didn't even think I was going to be able to go.
What organized crime is he a part of?
That's what I think everybody in Boston is that has money?
Yeah, like, what's he into?
Cousin Vinnie over here.
In Portexport?
Exactly.
All right?
Go to the Red Sox game.
They lose three to one, but it was still awesome.
Great, beautiful day.
It was like 75 and Sunny.
Who did they play?
They played the Giants.
What was cool, though, is Yaz.
the grandson of Carl Jostremski,
he hit a home run for the Giants.
So that's kind of cool, right?
So they lost, it's all good.
Go out, have a good Thursday night, hang out,
and then Friday, we go get a private tour.
Shout out to the Bull 101-7 in Boston
and the Red Sox for giving us that private tour.
Her name is Amanda.
She was awesome if you guys ever go up there.
I recommend doing it.
Ask him for Amanda?
So we just go to the front?
Amanda, please?
Yeah.
Kevin told me ask for Amanda.
Kick off, Kevin.
No, no, no, Kevin.
Kick off.
Yeah, he said to call.
Okay, so what happened?
You get there and there's no game.
So there's no game going on on Friday.
They were traveling that day.
And we meet Amanda in a private little area because they're doing those tours, you know, with people with microphones you pay for in a big group and all that.
We didn't get to do all that.
She took us on the field right away and we walk on there.
You can't go on the field because they were prepping for graduation that weekend was at Fenway.
So they're prepping for all that and getting the field ready and whatnot.
So we couldn't go on the field, but we were like, you know, where the warning track is behind the, um,
home plate and all that.
And then we go on the dugout,
hang out in there.
We got to call the bullpen.
We're like,
can we pick up this phone
and call the bullpen?
Did somebody answer?
No, but it was ringing.
You could hear it ringing out in the bullpen.
Did you have to dial a number?
No,
you just literally pick it up
and it just starts ringing
and then I'm looking out there
because there were workers out there.
I was like maybe one of them pick them up.
Or that ghost or college scripts.
You see,
Carlis Scripps you go in a hello?
Or a babe.
No.
You don't think Babe goes back to Fenway once in a while?
Not really.
Okay.
He lives at Yankee?
Yeah,
They traded them for like a play.
He's money for a play.
He's done.
So what did you do after the tour?
Would you get the monster, by the way?
Yeah, we went in the monster.
She opened the door and the monster, like what you saw Mani do for years,
go back in there.
All these signatures, they don't allow people to sign it anymore, which kind of sucks.
Because people started writing over, you know, like Mani's signature or like,
and it's just like you got Joe Schmo from.
I hate Joe Schmo.
I know.
Wherever.
Nobody likes Joe Schmo.
So did all that.
Got to go on the seats of the monster.
Did that whole tour is like two hours.
And it was great.
And then...
What's the score?
board light. I saw you sticking your head out of the scoreboard. It's so hard. It's metal.
It's not wood? No. So if you see somebody run into that and they go down like that's legit.
Oh wow. Like you knock on it. I mean, it's straight metal, which is wild. I guess I thought it was wood too.
Yeah. Or like wood, wooden, wood and padding. Yeah. And it has no give at all. But the numbers were back there. So you got the hold up numbers and like, you know, they go out there and change them all out and stuff. That was cool.
Did you and your uncle hold up six and nine and be like, eh?
No, we should have actually.
Dang it.
Why didn't they think of that?
So you did basketball, you did baseball, you did the tour, you do hockey.
And then hockey.
Yeah, obviously the Bruins played Thursday night on the road.
And we were like, okay, well, if they lose this and they play game seven, like, maybe we should want them to lose a little bit, right?
And they did.
They lost.
And then so the next morning, Friday morning, we woke up and we're like, dude, we got to go.
We have to.
So we bought tickets that morning, Friday morning.
You rooted for your team to lose?
Yeah, that's crazy.
that does not sound healthy
it was like 50-50 because I was like
But he's not a big hockey fan
Are you a big hockey fan?
No, it's the lead out of the four major sports
It's definitely the least
As long as you don't claim to be a diehard Bruins fan
Because no one would ever root for their team to lose
I now, I co-sign
No
It'd be fun to go to the game
Yeah and I was with my cousin who's a die-hard Bruins fan
Watching that game kind of like
Oh okay okay
So anyways
We get tickets Friday morning
And we're like all right
We're gonna go
And then we go to a graduation party
Saturday or the day for my cousin
And then that night we go to the game
There's six of us I go to the game
I mean, that was the most intense thing I've ever been to because it was one to one.
It was zero, zero for the most part.
And then one to one in the second.
And then in the third, it's just like everyone is just on the edge of their seat.
It's just quiet.
You know, they're trying to get into the game, quiet, quiet, quiet.
And then they go to overtime.
And it's like, oh, man, here we go.
This is it right here.
And in overtime, I have a confession, actually.
Don't tell me you left.
No.
Heck no.
But why do people do that?
Between the third period and overtime, I go down.
Because I was up top and I go downstairs to go to the bathroom because the lines are moving faster down there.
And I'm going to the bathroom and overtime is just about to start.
And then I get done and I start running back up the stairs.
I get there's what two and a half minutes into overtime?
I can hear the tension getting tighter and tighter.
You can just hear it and I'm like, oh shoot.
So I start running up the stairs.
I get to the top of the stair and they score a goal.
You missed a goal?
So technically I didn't see it with my own eyes.
But I was right there.
You were there.
And I still got to the top of the stairs.
of, you know, the walkway in the seats.
I was going to be like, I kidnapped a lady.
Right, no, no, that's not good.
Don't say that here.
I stole beers.
So they won game seven over time, went and partied after in the streets,
and it was freaking, it was amazing.
So Eddie's got cowboys.
Kevin's got Boston.
I got a little, real quick, the more you know on Kevin's trip.
Because he was leaving the first day from work,
straight from work.
He's like, I went straight to the airport.
And I should land there right in time to get to the game.
What do I do in my bags?
I said, bro, like, most venues in America,
you can take your bag with you and you can just take it to the office and they store it there for you.
I didn't know that.
He didn't either.
And he didn't believe me.
He's like, you're a liar.
I said, trust me.
Funny joke, though, if it was false.
Was it true?
It was true.
Really?
Yeah, I didn't do it.
Luckily, I got there in time.
I was fine.
I still got to go to Airbnb and drop my stuff off.
But it was true.
They will hold it for you.
Mike D, a big Texas Longhorn fan.
Yeah.
We went to Austin and one of my buddies works in the,
facility for the program and he was like, let's hang out. And I was like, we're on the way.
And he set us up. And Mike, do you want to take it from there? It was amazing. Like, to see all
the things they have there, it was like being in a candy store. It's the best facility I've ever
seen. And you just keep going and there's more and there's more and there's more. You think
we're going to reach the end at some point. And it just keeps on going. They have more money.
It is the nicest, most technologically advanced, most well-thought-out facility I've ever seen.
If there was a zombie apocalypse, I would go and live there because it's a niceest, it is the
have everything.
Everything, man.
Multiple float, salt float machines.
So if you're like an 18-year-old kid getting recruited, how do you say no to that?
Well, we saw a kid that was in the portal, and he was like, had the pads on and stuff.
And he was walking out, and I was like, what up?
Let's go.
And he didn't look up.
He ignored us, man.
Really?
Yeah.
But they have screens on everything.
They have their own doctor.
The pharmacy.
You can go there and get prescribed medication.
It's wild.
Hey, Kevin, they have this, like, walk-through car wash for players.
It's a shower, yeah.
You just walk through and it showers you.
So you can get in the hot or the coal plunge or, and there's big screen.
Dude, I hate to say this because I do not like my whole life.
I was taught how the evil Orange Empire was terrible.
And so as a rival or somebody that I hate the Longhorns, I love the people because I have a lot of friends that are Longhorns.
But from being an Arkansas fan, you grow up hating Texas.
And I left going, I'm jealous.
man, they have so much money.
You ever playing basketball in their game?
We got, we went to the arcade.
Really?
Yeah, and Taylor was who took us around.
So a big shout out to Taylor.
And, I mean, we took, they had like two different snack rooms.
It was just crazy.
Any kind of snacks you want.
They had infrared beds, full, like multiple infrared beds at nap pods.
I mean, you guys saw the Carolina, well, no, that wasn't there true, I guess.
But nothing even comes close.
No, nothing that we've seen.
Nothing comes close.
Yeah, and I've been through a couple of facilities, even aside.
from our show. Nothing comes close.
Wild.
Man, I was kind of a little...
I was a nerd.
I took pictures of Quinn,
you were's locker and...
So did I.
And the man...
Oh, you did?
The manning kid.
Yeah.
You guys almost left me.
No, we didn't almost leave you.
We were leaving you because we couldn't find you.
I didn't know you were sniffing Archmanning's jock shop.
Archie mani, I was like, that's his locker.
And I met Jonathan Brooks.
Oh, yeah, I did see that picture.
That's cool.
He was just chilling.
No, not really.
Not a huge dude.
But he was just hanging out in the training room.
And I was like, what are you doing here, dude?
Shouldn't you be in Carolina?
He's like, nah, I'll be there later.
It went just like that?
I was like, yeah, just like that.
You want to do you?
No, I did.
And I said, dude, why didn't you go to the Cowboys?
He's like, I would have gone to the Cowboys.
Just didn't draft me?
They didn't have gone to.
They didn't recruit me.
That was our conversation, man.
Mine would be very Arkansas related with, you know,
we were still doing the show whenever they had hired,
or they were about to hire Cal or they were hiring Cal.
I don't know, but I don't think Cal was officially,
he hadn't done the press conference yet when we had done the show.
And since then,
made some very tough decisions
regarding Coach Cal
in Arkansas
and my love for the
Razorback,
which is my very favorite
thing in the whole wide world.
I've decided I'm not going to fly
too close to the sun.
I'm going to try to have
no relationship at all
and just enjoy as a fan.
I'm afraid I won't like them.
I don't know that I won't
and I've been told you'll like them
or you'll...
I'm afraid I won't
and I don't want to not like them
because I love Arkansas
more than anything else.
And this is very much
by choice because you could
easily
meet him, have a relationship.
Yeah, they've offered him for the show.
This show?
Yeah.
What's wrong with you, man?
Come on.
Right now, I am going to choose
to not Icarus myself.
Are you playing hard to get?
No.
That's what it is.
It is not.
I don't want, I had a great relationship with us.
I have a good relationship with Pittman.
I don't want to feel different about it
because I possibly have a negative personal
feelings.
Just because he was Kentucky for so long?
No, that's not it.
I would take anybody awesome.
Okay.
But I just, some people are like,
I don't know if you guys are going to,
I don't want to not vibe.
I care too much about it to not,
to worry about that.
So I'll keep giving my money
and I'll keep watching rooting,
but I am not going to try to forge any sort of relationship.
That's been a tough decision for me to have.
Wow.
Is that just something that's going to come naturally?
Are you going to give like a timeline?
No timeline.
It could never happen.
And I'd be fine with that.
As long as I can keep loving the razorbacks,
I'm good.
I just don't want anything to get in the way.
Can I ask you this without getting mad?
I don't know.
I can't.
Why would I agree?
That's what my wife always says to it.
And I'm like, I don't know.
Tell me what it is first.
Go ahead.
How far do you think you're going to go next year with Cal?
Elite eight, final four?
He's doing something this year.
Oh, I follow every, I'm watching every step.
But he's doing something different than he's done with the Kentucky classes.
And I think he learned the hard way was he's not just taking all freshman kids.
he's got a few
five-star
like it's a crazy
recruiting class
with the number one
portal class
like number two
overall
recruiting class
all combined
behind Duke
and we don't have
a roster full yet
but
you're filling it up
pretty quick
I think we have like
eight people
every time I check
there's another person
but we have like
multiple
older kids
the kid from Tennessee
transfer the number one
from Florida Atlantic
the number one
trans
so we have
the big guy from Kentucky
that
yeah but he only
played a little bit
as a freshman
because he couldn't enroll
but it's not all
freshman
time like what has been typical one and duns,
he now is going to the portal,
spending money and getting kids that are sophomores
or juniors to come over. And I think that's going to make
a big difference. Did our boy
leave? Yes. He went to...
Which one? Which one? Battle?
Caleb. Yeah, he went to Zagga.
Really? Yes.
Random.
Isn't it? And Devo went to Oklahoma State.
Oh, I didn't know that. Good for him.
But yeah, nobody stayed. Is he a senior? They're both
seniors. He will be a senior. Devo will.
Caleb, yes. He has another year, too.
but I can't wait it's gonna be awesome
I just want to continue to
can't wait
Hey what about the guy that
Like was a recruit 10 years ago for football or something
He went and played major league baseball
Yeah we have him now
You see that?
Yeah wait no he's
He was a four star recruit wide receiver
He went and played major league baseball with like the angels
And now he's walking on at Arkansas next year
Ten years ago
Yeah really
When he started playing
And how old is he?
Let's see he'd probably be like
28? Yeah, that's a movie.
I mean, think about Chris Winky, though, at Florida State.
Like, he did that.
Was he 28?
Yeah, 27, 28?
That's crazy.
Well, a couple of those quarterback guys did that when I played ball and then came over to play college football.
So that's my personal.
Reid, do you have anything?
Yeah, what about, oh, I was going to ask you about Coach Cal?
Like, what about like a, just like a general introduction?
I'm sure if I'm there, I will.
Okay.
But I am not pursuing a relationship.
Got you.
Single and happy right now.
Live in your best life.
And I'm watching recruiting.
I'm rooting for every bit of it.
It's pretty cool to see you, man.
It's really cool.
But I don't want it not to be cool.
I got you.
And, you know, my last relationship with Musk was really good.
You know, I just want to jump into another one.
Oh, are you still hurt?
No, I'm not hurt.
That's what it is.
I mean.
Have you talked to Mus' about this?
I have, you know.
You need closure?
It's easier for me just not to talk to him right now.
I think Musn would want you to move on.
I think so, too.
Good job.
Good point, Mike.
Hey, you know what?
Reed does have a story, though.
Go ahead, Reed.
do I?
Yeah.
Oh, well, I was going to say
I don't have like an actual sports game thing
But I barely do.
Go ahead.
I did get that cool Muhammad Ali card
Oh.
With this dual sign
Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier.
Did we talk about it?
When you busted that?
No.
I don't think we did talk about that.
So we did dorm dudes in my house.
And Reed, I was like, dude,
we don't buy that.
Because Reed spent 1,200 bucks on this Muhammad Ali box.
I was like, Reed,
it's going to be hard to get your money back.
And Reed's like,
I think I can.
do it. I like
Ali
and he
busts it
and it's a dual
sign Joe Frazier
Muhammad Ali
and take it from there
Oh well
I'm definitely
going to sell it
and so
there's a
there's a dude right now
offering 4,000
for it
what are waiting on?
I mean I was just
at my Disney trip
so I couldn't send it off
I couldn't send it off
from Mickey's home
I was with Mickey
Mickey didn't have any
postage
Exactly
Mickey said sting like a butterfly
What are you hoping
to get for it?
More?
No, I mean, $4,000 is great.
Yeah, let it rip.
For one card?
Yeah, I had somebody offer me six for the JFK.
Woo.
And you paid how much for JFK?
I didn't take it.
No, no, no.
I bought it in part of that, that box.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Well, how much was that?
Well, all together.
Oh, yeah, I remember that.
That's expensive.
Yeah, what, $22?
Yeah, $20,000.
One card, though.
The Sosa card I sold on eBay for $1,200.
Nice.
The, I got a few that...
The Sosa card is the one with the bear
with a cup on it?
Yeah.
I got a rookie up now
that I think it's going to
go up for a thousand
of that card box.
I'm not going to sell
the JFK.
Really?
Mm-mm.
You still got a lot of good ones left.
Yeah.
I sent some off to be graded
and they're worth
more as soon as they get graded.

If I'm outside with my parents and they're seeing all these people come up to me for pictures,
it's like, what?
Today now, obviously, it's like 100%.
They believe everything, but at first it was just like,
you got to go get a real job.
There's an economic component to community striving.
If there's not enough money and entrepreneurship,
nourishaping in communities, they fail.
And what I mean by fail is they don't have money to pay for food.
They cannot feed their kids.
They do not have homes.
Communities don't work unless there's money flowing through them.

All right, we're back.
Actually, we never stopped.
Right.
We just take a one second break.
And I have to do this press conference in like 15 minutes saying that the show's coming back on my Instagram.
So we'll do like 15 minutes.
We're also going to talk to Oklahoma State,
which, by the way, their softball team drank two in the country right now.
Oh, that's awesome.
Number two.
And so we went and did too much access with them.
Holy crap.
It was a weird time because they had beat OU.
Patty Gassow.
Family.
DJ's mom, who I know really well.
Heck, Christmas, Thanksgiving.
We're always together.
Amelia, man.
They lost Oklahoma State.
The first series they've lost in like two or three years.
And the Oklahoma State episode went up right.
after they lost.
Why would you let that happen, Bones?
We didn't time it any weird way.
It was just the order we had always planned.
Yeah.
So. Is she mad at you?
I got no text.
At all.
So she may not know or she may just want to kill me.
Or she may be irritated.
They lost Oklahoma State, the rival.
That is their main rival.
Texas probably main rival.
Oh, that's right.
Oklahoma State.
It's right there.
But I would think Oklahoma hates Oklahoma more than Oklahoma
hates Oklahoma State, but Oklahoma State still, but Oklahoma still hates Oklahoma State, but not as much.
It's like Arkansas hates Texas, and Texas doesn't like Arkansas, but they don't hate Arkansas
as much as Arkansas hates them.
Same with the Aggies.
Yeah.
Although now, I don't know, A&M started to make a bunch of money and went to the SEC.
Why do you think Texas came around?
So, regardless, let's do the tittle-tattle.
All right, following the Tom Brady roast, if you could roast any current or former athlete, who would it be?
Well, first of all, did you watch the roast?
I watched a lot of clips.
So I feel like I've seen it.
I feel like I've seen every section of it.
But no, I didn't watch it live.
So then I didn't feel like I needed to go watch it again.
I'd watch clips.
Did you see the comedian that did the Dana, the Dana White one?
20 Hinch Liff?
I didn't see that clip.
Out of a purse.
Yeah, out of a purse.
I don't know who that comedian was, but he was great.
It was Andrew Schultz.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
I know Andrew from Charlotte, man.
Yeah.
You do?
Yeah.
Like, you know him, know him?
Yeah, from Charlemagne.
That's a charlemagne's a good friend.
He was really funny.
So I think current athlete Derek Jeter would be funny
because he's, you know,
pristine Derek Jeter, but also he had so many chicks back in the day.
Oh, yeah.
Like there's a lot of jokes about that,
about, you know, him gifting the balls to girls,
but being the yank.
You know, I think Jeter would be a fun one to do
and he'd be a good sport about it.
He seemed like a super nice guy.
I met him.
I think like Pete Rose.
Oh, gosh.
All the gambling jokes.
Would get brutal.
And then back in history, I don't know.
Those guys just didn't know much about it.
Like Babe Ruth went pretty hard,
but I guess we didn't know a bunch about them
because it wasn't like they had TMZ.
But I think Jeter would be fun,
and I think Pete Rose would be brutal.
But that's so sporty with the Pete Rose one.
Like, I don't know that Tom Brady's a pop culture icon.
Yeah.
Who would you say?
Mine would be A-Rod, just because I'd love to just make fun.
I think that would be like a personal thing for me.
Nobody likes him, right?
I just do, no.
Right?
No.
Okay, I'm not the only one.
No, yeah.
It's not just because I'm a Red Sox fan.
Eddie, what comes to mind for you?
Well, I was going to say OJ, but he's dead.
He's roasting right now, you know?
Oh, no.
Hell.
Got him.
What's his name?
Jeff Ross came out in that outfit.
Did you see that?
Uh-uh.
He came out in an OJ, like, jersey with blood all over.
All right, what else you got?
All right, there's a lot of talk going around about NFL and NBA players playing each other's sports.
So if you could pick one NBA player to play in the NFL,
and vice versa.
NFL in the NBA, who would they be?
So I'm going to remove LeBron, although he was a really good high school player.
A lot of those guys played multiple sports and were great at it.
But LeBron's a little too old and he's the easy answer to play tight-in-a-wide receiver.
But Ludoor in Oklahoma City, like, he's a bulldog, man.
He's, he can, his body would be able to sustain the hits.
And I'd, Lou Dort's size.
What is he probably 6-5?
I mean, he is a defensive lockdown guy and he's a dog.
He's jacked.
So Lou Dord's size.
to play, but think about Lou Dort,
let's say 6'5, Kevin's out to tell me.
In the NBA, you look short, but you're a 6-5 wide receiver,
you're a freaking Calvin Johnson with that body.
Yeah, yeah.
So I'd probably take off the top of my head,
like a Lou Dort to play wide receiver
because he's lean, mean,
like he goes. What do you got?
6-4-220.
Imagine that at all.
So Lou Dort's my quick answer there.
And if I were going to take an NFL player,
the problem with the NFL,
and Austin Rivers has some, I think he's right.
Because in football, you need different bodies to play different positions.
And a lot of those guys couldn't play in the NBA because they're just not tall enough, regardless.
They're just not tall enough.
Very few NFL guys are tall enough playing the NBA.
Because think about the shorter NBA guys, 6-2, 6.3, that's a pretty big NFL player.
That's normal.
If a quarterback is 6-3, you're like, that's good size.
And if I were going to take an NFL player to play basketball,
We did Dord.
No, no, we did basketball and football.
But who would be tall enough?
Do you play basketball?
Because even the tall guys.
Megatron?
But he's not, he didn't play it right now.
Yeah, current player.
No current player.
I mean, athletically.
Like, you'd even say like a Deshaun Jackson has a play,
but I think of like super athletic football players.
OBJ.
Yeah.
That's my point when it comes to them switching sports like that,
that I don't think they're a lot.
of NFL guys that could.
I think there are some NBA guys that could.
Because you need one.
You need height to play in the NBA.
Big people always win.
I got mine.
Go ahead.
I'm going to stick with Oklahoma City.
I'm going to take Chet Holmgren,
but I'm going to use him only on Hill Mary's.
Oh, they'll break him, though.
I'll have a block kicks.
Have him in one man,
one line up there.
Boom.
That'd be amazing.
I just don't know who I would take from football to go over to basketball.
That's tough.
Because who's got the height.
But again, I think Mahomes, well, thinking like...
You ever see Cooper DeGine, his highlights?
You ever see Mahomes high school basketball highlights?
They're really good.
T. Higgins?
I saw T. Higgins the other day.
That's the point with this, is that you can't take NBA guys.
Also, there are five players on the court in an NBA.
NBA team at one time.
NFL, there's 22.
Sure.
So even those numbers start to cloud up what players can do what.
You have a lot more options to go over the NFL and play as an elite elite athlete,
because you can find a position that works for you.
Can Tyreek, you got five?
Can Tyreek handle?
I would imagine Tyreek can probably do anything.
If Tyreek can handle, I'll take him.
He will fly down the court.
I hear you, he's not tall.
What is he, 510, 511?
Just a little layup, dude, good.
That's it?
They don't block layups anymore?
All right, next question.
After taking a commanding 2-0 lead against Denver,
is Minnesota now your favorite to win it all?
I still wouldn't count Denver out.
But Minnesota did win the second game,
and they didn't even have their full team.
No, dude.
Rudy was out.
Rudy was having a baby.
Minnesota looks off.
Defensively, Minnesota, it looks like those mid-90s,
Knicks-type teams.
Like, they swallow you.
The Celtics are still the betting favorite.
Draft Kings, Celtics are plus $100.
But I like the matchups,
because if Minnesota and OKC play,
I would take Minnesota over Oklahoma City.
But they're so good, dude.
Oklahoma City is so good.
But they're very young.
But also, also I'm talking about matchups.
like Chet
Rudy
Gobert
I think you take
Gobert
defensively because he's
going to stop Chip
so I like that matchup
Anthony Edwards
I like Minnesota
Dallas matchup as well
I like the Minnesota
versus Boston matchup
without Porzengis
you get bring Porzineas
and it's a whole different story
is he going to play
Give him my calf
What
You have a baby cow
Yep
Give it to him
You're going to give him
How hard is he
There's no update
There's the original he's going to miss significant time.
Yeah.
So if I were going to bet a team right now, bet a future,
I'd bet Denver because you get great odds on that right now, plus 1,200.
And of all the teams that I think could probably beat the Timberwolves from the West,
it would be Denver.
But I still don't think they will.
But I would put the money at plus 1,200 on Denver right now.
I don't want to take that.
Because I don't think they're over.
I agree.
Where are the Knicks at?
Plus 1,000, like 4th.
That's not bad.
I mean, the Knicks.
They brawl you too.
That's what they do.
They beat the crap out of you.
They play 48 minutes.
They don't come out of the freaking game.
I go Celtics than T. Wolves, though.
Just like the odds are.
It's a cheap answer, but I'd still do that overall.
But T. Wolves just haven't proven it yet.
But, man, they look awesome.
They look amazing.
But they're one injury away from not being amazing anymore.
Well, yeah.
And most teams are, however, I think if, like,
one of the OKC guys went down,
I think they'd still manage to play pretty well.
I think if one of the Dallas guys went down
that wasn't Kyrie,
or Luca
but if you lose
Aunt or you lose Gobert
I don't know
that team feels like
it's the total sum
of all the parts
Jayden all those guys
like have such
important roles
but it's super cool
I bought an aunt
rookie when the playoffs
were starting
I pay like $450
bucks for one
I bet you I could flip it
now
now's the time
absolutely
no now's not the time
now's not the time
no now's not the time
when is the time
when is the time
not now
flip it baby
God I want to hold it
That's a baby.
It's going to make some money.
Give me one more.
Last one with both teams undefeated so far.
Who's been more impressive?
The Thunder or the Timberwolves?
The Timberwolves have been more impressive because we've seen them.
They've been highlighted way more.
And I've watched,
combined with the two Timberwilm games, about three quarters of a game.
I'm going to watch any full game.
One of the games we had her eye heart,
and I was watching a little bit of it on my phone.
That was game two or game one.
That was game one.
Game one.
Yeah, watched a little bit of that.
Watch a lot of game two.
I feel like the Thunder.
haven't been featured like in good spots.
I agree. Am I wrong? No, I don't think I've watched one minute of their games.
I've watched some clips.
Yeah. And maybe and I have Max. It's when I've watched Max sometimes on the big front screen like
yesterday the Knicks that it was the Knicks played yesterday right? Yeah. And it was like
Knicks and Pacers. But I would say the Timberwolves because we've seen them and they put
the suns down high profile and now being possibly the new face of the NBA if they
are able to win this thing. He will be. That's pretty cool. Yeah. So but the
Thunder are so young. They had like one guy over like age 25 that scored a point in the last series.
One guy over age 25 or 26, some weird stat. Everybody else is so young.
They have Gordon Hayward, don't they? They do. They do. See, I didn't even know that
team play on the average up. But he doesn't play. It wasn't him, but he doesn't even play that much.
Yeah. So there you go. That's the tittle tattle. Thank you.
I went and sat on the little ottoman in front of him. And I said, hi, dad. And just when I said

Are we going to do an interview with Coach Kenne Gaieski, Oklahoma State softball coach?
And they're number two in the country right this minute.
That's awesome.
It's wild.
Crazy.
Because I think they were going to be like, maybe like 13th or 14th when we interviewed them.
I knew they'd be good.
So here we go, Coach Kenny Gaieski.
Coach, I was reading about, and you can correct me if I'm wrong,
but there's like a mental health retreat that you do with your players.
Is it before every season?
What exactly is that, and why is that important to you?
It's just something that we do in the fall,
and then we do it for our post-season watch party as well,
just to get our kids away from normal life, cell phones,
and just kind of just be together.
I think that's the best thing about.
what that does it just kind of lets us focus on us and we have a blast we go to broken bow lake we have
some cabins there that we rent some amazing homes and we just have a blast we act like we kind of own
them and you know it kind of feels good and what do you feel that does for the team as far as when the
season comes back around and these athletes are playing together I think what we've always talked
about here is we want to create these moments in time these memories that our kids can always go
back to. You know, when you're in these, sometimes we make these games too much. And I think when we have
these other moments like we try to have here of just having fun, I think that's the theme of this thing.
We love to have fun here. And it just creates those moments in time that our girls can go back to
when things are hard. And I think it gives our staff a chance to bond. It gives our kids a chance to be
away from girlfriends, boyfriends, whatever it is. It's a distraction unless it's just focused on
us. You come from a baseball background of playing and being parts of teams outside of even as a player.
And I guess I do too a little bit, but not as much as you. But softball so much more fun to me to
watch on the college, the college area because of, again, how much fun it is that everybody's
having on the field and in the dugouts. Are there any rules or parameters that you set? Like,
you can only do so many cheaters. You can't.
say cheers with bad words.
Because I have rules on me with everything I do.
I'm sure.
Because again, it always feels positive.
Like, women's college softball is such a positive feeling sport.
What are the rules you have for what they can do out there when it comes to having fun?
I just, I mean, honestly, the only rule is let's keep it about us.
I mean, I don't really care.
There's some that are like nails on a chalkboard at times.
I'm just like, ugh, I hate that.
Chains or individual voices.
Yeah, just both.
Okay.
You know, some people can speak well and you're like, yeah, she sounds good.
And others are like, man, I wish she just kind of play.
You know what I mean?
So you have to sing about yourself though.
You can't do we need a pitcher, not a belly it, because that's, that's a good one.
Yeah, but that's like the other pitcher.
Yeah.
That's old school.
But it has to be about positive.
Just keep it about our kids, right?
I mean, just keep it about us having fun.
I think it does bring us some energy.
I will tell you that there are schools that don't like the way that we play.
The way we chant, the way we cheer, there are schools that hate it.
It is what it is.
I'm sorry.
I'm not going to apologize.
We are going to do it our way.
We're going to have a blast.
It's never meant to be disrespectful to anyone.
But I'm not going to let anybody tell us how to have fun.
This is going to be a hard question.
Put you on the spot.
But what's your favorite of all the chance?
Like right now, if you could only hear one, the whole game.
I'll tell you, it's not our chance.
chance it's when they when they get on to second base and they hit a double there's always a move
for everything and there's a move that they hit a triple and so I like those more than I like chance
who does the move the person on the base yeah so if they hit a double they have a certain move do you know
the move I do you want show I was just going to stare them down until he got it got it like I just
crack up I think it's hilarious I mean I'm sure I didn't do it
it right, but whatever you did, you did it. I'm going to be honest. You did that and I liked it.
Coach, what's the bubblegum situation? I mean, is it like when season starts, like we got
fertilizer, we got plenty of bubble gum? How much bubble gum do you have like in here?
We have a lot. I chew a lot. I chew about, I chew ice cubes and I chew about four at a time.
I'm a bubble guy. It blows the best bubbles for sure. I don't see any bubble gum. Have you seen
bubble gum in here? No, I have not.
Oh, and by ice cube.
But what if all the goals were like, we want skull, then we'll get skull.
Got it.
That's what I'm talking about.
Yeah.
Like universally, every girl said we want a big basket of skull.
You'd make it happen?
Copenhagen.
That's well.
Or Copenhagen.
Whatever puts the ring on your back pocket.
Talk about the team this year.
What's the ceiling in your eyes?
It's high.
You know, we went in to this year with a little bit of unknown for the first time in a while with a lot of news.
with a lot of new young kids, some transfers and some returning kids.
I mean, we've had some great success the last four years.
We've been right there.
And, you know, we had some unknown, but we've gotten off to a great start, played a great schedule.
And I think we're probably exceeding a lot of expectations outside of here.
I don't know that we're exceeding them in instance out of year.
But I think a lot of people thought we were going to maybe have a down year with who we lost.
and I mean we picked up right where we've left off so it's been cool it's been cool to watch these new
new kids embrace our culture our health our whatever you want to call the fancy
words we call it the cowgirl way you can kind of see the signs in here and we call it and we
we signify that by a thing called rep it's relentless excellence and passion and we try to live
by that and we try to coach to that try to
recruit those type of kids and these guys have just picked this thing up and just keep rolling.
What's your pitch to recruits?
If they're down to three schools, they're down to three, it's Arkansas, Oklahoma State and
Oklahoma.
Obviously they want to stay, you know, in somewhat the area, three good programs.
Why do they come here?
You come here because of the people.
You come here because it's a forever thing.
It's not just a four-year thing.
It's a for-ever thing.
And I think when you see if you're able to stay here for a long enough time,
see a lot of our returning kids or just keep coming back. I've got a whole office full of my
former players inside here that are now coaching here or doing their masters here. And, you know,
we're not the shiniest thing on the market. You know, there's a lot of bright lights in
Austin and some of these other towns that we recruit against. But at the end of the day,
kids want to win. Kids want to be able to be able to.
able to be them. And I think we do as good a job as anybody in the country of letting our kids
be who they want to be their best them, just the authentic place. And so I think we've got that
and our kids fall in love with that opportunity. Coach, when you first meet a player,
do you, what do you want them to call you? Do you want them to call you coach, Kenny? Like,
how does that go? And does that change as the more years they're here? We have no rules here.
honestly like I don't we don't have a meeting at the first of each year call me coach it's call me
Kenny call me coach G I don't care like I mean my last name is what if it's just
Kenny G yeah that's hilarious give the guy you get that a lot there's some funny things that
you know are out there about me and that and I stutter so they make Kenny G that's stuttering and
all this other stuff I just hey just got to be who you are I didn't put the Kenny G
did you say get him a horn?
Yeah, get the guy a horn.
Get him a saxophone.
One of those flat saxophones.
Play the bat.
Put some hold.
That's funny.
Well, Coach, we pulled up in the first thing because we looked into the field.
You guys have a really nice.
Like, the field's like pristine.
Do you take a lot of pride in that?
We take a lot of pride in keeping things clean.
You know, you have what you have.
You can complain about what you don't have.
But our girls take a lot of pride in what they have here.
And so we try to keep things clean.
We try to keep it fresh.
We try to keep evolving.
with things. We try to brand well. I want you to turn on the TV and know, hey, you're at OSU.
And it's a big deal. And so you just, all you can do is take care of what you got. Last question.
Is your closet all orange? You open it up. It's not. I have an orange section. Got it. And it's OSU. I'm a
big shoe guy. So shoes dominate my area. But I try to keep everything kind of in.
And I got some Lulu over here.
I got my Nike over here.
My orange OSU is over at this spot here.
So it's pretty good.
Of all the oranges, the three that I think of immediately are Texas, Tennessee.
I want oranges.
Whatever that is.
Green sickle.
Or OSU.
My favorite of the oranges is OSU for the record.
America's brightest orange.
For the record, yes.
Coach, thank you very much for having us.
We can't wait to get out there.
Thank you.
Thanks, Coach.
All right.

conversations about money, growth, and building your future. This month, hear from top streamer,
Zoe Spencer, and venture capitalist Lakeisha Landrum Pierre, as they share their journeys
from starting out to leveling up. If I'm outside with my parents and they're seeing all these
people come up to me for pictures, it's like, what? Today now, obviously, it's like 100%
they believe everything, but at first it was just like, you got to go get a real job.
There's an economic component to communities thriving.
If there's not enough money and entrepreneurship happening in communities, they fail.
And what I mean by fail is they don't have money to pay for food.
They cannot feed their kids.
They do not have homes.
Communities don't work unless there's money flowing through them.

I'm Dr. Maya Shunker, a cognitive scientist and hosts of the podcast, a slight change of plans,
a show about who we are and who we become when life makes other plans.
We share stories and scientific insights to help us all better navigate these periods of turbulence and transformation.
There is one finding that is consistent, and that is that our resilience rests on our relationships.
I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long the need to change.
We have to be willing to live with a kind of uncertainty that none of us likes.
Listen to a slight change of plans on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
All right, thanks to Coach for coming on.
Go watch our full episode.
Go cowgirls.
Yeah, and people were asking the jerseys we were wearing, they were women's jerseys.
Yes.
They were a hit.
But they fit really nice.
Really tight.
Nice and snug.
Yeah, really tight.
We're going to open up a box of presidential relics from the past at the very, very end of this podcast.
That sounds awesome.
I don't really know what the box is.
I've been collecting some stuff.
Go through a few card things that I got.
But before we do that, let's end the show.
The first episode back.
Dude, that was a great show.
We got all of our personal stuff out of the way.
Yeah.
So we don't talk about that anymore.
Hey, I missed you guys.
Okay, true transparency.
I see you guys every day.
I was going to have a response to that was I didn't.
Not that I didn't miss you,
but I miss talking about sports.
Yeah.
Thank you guys.
25 whistles.
Follow us at 25 whistles on Instagram.
That would be awesome.
And we should make like whistles.
What do you mean?
We should sell whistles with like the logo on them.
The problem is it would cost like nothing to make with a ton to ship.
Is there heavy?
No.
It's just like you got to put out a bunch of, I don't know.
Let's think about it.
It's a good idea.
memorabilia whistles?
Like do they say 25 W on the side or something?
Something. We could sell whistles.
And then each season.
I wish they had, and we signed them, I wish they had big fat whistles.
And we could say like one of one.
I bet they do.
Like clowns, I think they have big fat whistles.
Google big fat whistles.
Like massive whistles that we could all sign.
And for like eight bucks, you get a 25 whistles whistle.
And we all sign it and send it to you.
Or 20 bucks or something.
I don't know.
25 bucks.
20.
That's it.
Genius.
That's it.
Genius idea.
Mike, do you see anything about a giant whistle?
Not seeing a giant one.
Put clowns in the Google search.
I did.
Google most massive whistle on the internet.
Let's see.
Big.
There's a giant whistle,
but it doesn't look that big.
Big whistle.
There's one for $6.99,
but I think the picture's just big.
Yeah, it's not that big a whistle.
Not comically big.
Here's a Thunderer 58 referee whistle.
But that's 27 bucks, but it's not comically big.
Yeah, right.
It's a good term.
There's a giant.
giant, like, huge whistle
that, like, you could stand next to.
It looks like four, like five feet tall.
Hey, one of one. The shipping
on that one. The protector whistle
with lanyard included.
What if we get one of those whistles?
One of those slide whistles.
Okay, we're going to be on the hunt.
Wow, there's a 300 value mark, blue
personalized whistle. $522.
Dang, guys. I didn't know the whistle market was like this.
There's a market for everything.
A family made that of stock. You did?
We'll be on the lookout for big whistles.
And then you can be a whistler and have your whistle.
Wear it all time.
Man, there is a giant whistle prop.
Here's one, a giant whistle that kids, you can get on,
oh, the one out of stock?
Is that the one out of stock everywhere?
A giant whistle.
Dude, that looks awesome.
Like as big as your hand.
Hand?
That's cool.
Here's some in stock.
It's from IBMA.edu.m.m.
Sounds legit.
Yeah, put your credit card
That sounds like a read credit card type trip
Okay, we're gonna leave for giant whistles
But that would be fun right?
I like that, yeah
Okay, cool, thank you guys
And we will see you
next episode, 25 whistles
Get it, Eddie
All right, bye, but here's this segment
All right, bye
I just got a call from my front porch
You know, you'd like the ring camera
So it brings the doorbell
Like, bing on your phone, there's a UPS guy
And he's like, hey, I need to drop this off
I need to sign for it
But I left it because I missed the package yesterday.
So I put a piece of paper up.
I said, I'm not here.
Here's my signature.
And I signed the paper.
Oh, does that work?
It works?
Apparently not.
What are they going to do with that?
So I was like, I'm not there.
I left my signature up on the top.
And he's like, I can't do that.
I was like, but it's me.
He's like, I hear you, but I have to, I can't leave it without a signature.
Because nobody was at my house.
And so I said, well, where is it?
And he told me, and now I got to go, I guess he'll pick it up like seven tonight?
Because it doesn't come even off the UPS.
truck till they get back.
Because they keep driving all day.
What is it?
Cards?
Of course.
I took read to the card shop near the house yesterday.
The dugout one?
Dad's dugout?
That's pretty cool, huh?
Yeah, it's exactly what you would expect.
It's like, there's a dad and there's basically like a little bit.
There's a couple of the cool things that I got in the past week.
I just brought a couple ones in here.
But I have a dual signed Chuck Norris Jean-Claude Bandam.
Wow.
That's cool, dude.
That's different.
Pretty cool.
Yeah.
One of four.
Won that on dorm dudes.
Did you guys know me and Bobby have had beef with Chuck Norris?
I forgot about that.
That feels like ages ago.
Yeah.
Was that on us, though?
Well, kind of, yeah.
So, like, we were, when we worked at a TV station together, when Bobby and I first met,
Chuck Norris was like, his people were like, hey, you have a chance to interview Chuck Norris.
And Bobby's like, yeah, I can't do it.
And I was like, all right, well, who do we sent?
And Bobby had this great idea to send one of our interns and be like, send the intern.
This is 15 years ago.
A long time ago, sent one of the interns and do a bunch of Chuck Norris jokes, like those facts like the river does it.
Chuck Norris doesn't jump in the river.
The river gets jumped by Chuck Norris.
Yeah, whatever.
One of those things.
And he wanted to see if Chuck Norris knew the joke and could finish the joke.
Because they were pretty famous at the time.
And I couldn't go.
The last one was Chuck Norris isn't hung like a horse.
The horse is hung like Chuck Norris.
He didn't like that one.
And so we recorded it and everything and we left.
And then when we got back to the station, the receptionist was like, what did you guys do?
Chuck Norris, people are on the phone.
They want that tape.
He came to and kicked everybody in the face and took it back.
I called him bones.
I was like, what do we do, man?
He's like, what?
It's our tape.
Keep it.
So we tried to hide it.
The Texas Rangers showed up to the station.
Three Texas Rangers, they're like, where's the tape?
We're like, I don't know what you're talking about, man.
Give me the tape.
Really?
Yeah, about that.
I think I blocked that.
That was one of the scariest days in my life.
Well, anyway, I got Jean-Claude.
And then I have this.
This is a Patrick Ewing card and game Warren patch from his jersey.
That's cool.
Dang.
Yeah, pretty cool there too.
A couple of my little fun pops.
I did buy this box.
I was going to show you guys this.
I did buy this box of cards are 93 score.
And you look for the basically,
I bought the whole box.
But a box is like a bunch of packs.
Yeah.
Okay, does that make sense?
So it's not the whole set.
Like you could buy back today.
Yeah, something like that.
And so I bought this box for like $130 or something.
And it's 93 baseball.
I just brought one pack in to show you guys this.
And you look through and Jeter's rookie year, like I said.
Yeah, that's cool.
I want to show you guys the issue that I've come into.
So I'm opening the pack.
And I will buy some old pack sometimes in open.
I'm going to try to get something cool.
Like I bought a pack of something.
I got a couple of Jeter rookies and sent them off to the PSA to grade them.
Yeah, that's awesome.
So, but not this kind.
I don't have this one.
So I open it up.
And I'm like, cool, and I look at it.
They're all stuck together.
Oh, no.
Here in someone's basement for a lot of years.
Look this.
Now, I can break them apart, one at a time.
Watch.
Well, that's a grade, graded lower now.
Oh.
Somebody really like those cards.
Oh, yes.
Come on, Kevin.
Yuck, yuck, yuck.
Somebody had to say it.
So I can roll through them, John Cummings.
Oh, hey.
Come on.
That literally was the one-up.
You serious?
He didn't make up that joke?
Look, dude.
That's crazy.
That's why it's sticky.
Oh, my God.
Alex Cole,
Graham Lloyd.
I'm pulling him apart.
The sound like.
Oh, it sucks.
Bill Kruger,
Frank Bollick,
Tom,
Brandt.
That's crazy, man.
Ranniske.
I know.
Terry Pendleton.
Braves?
Padres.
Oh.
You just say it.
Ben Rivera,
Joe Carter.
Oh.
Probably know him.
Blue Jays.
Yeah. Sean Lowe.
Willie McGee.
Uh,
A's.
Giants.
Dang it.
Close.
Bay Area.
Xavier Hernandez.
Steve Sacks.
Anthony Young.
Once lost 30 games in a season, I believe.
Dang.
For the Mets.
For the Mets.
The Mets were just terrible.
His, he already wasn't even that bad.
But yeah, so anyway, these are all, every pack is bricked.
You get your money back for that?
Can you tell them like, hey, man, that's not good?
Nope.
Yeah, I didn't hit a Jeter here either.
But the question is, if I did hit a Jeter,
it's all sticky.
I have to call in like a freaking scientist to do nut removal.
Yes.
That's what you tell them.
Hey, man, you guys do any nut removal over there?
The other thing that I have, check this out.
So this is 24 pieces of the past.
On the box is George Washington, A. Blinken, and Benjamin Franklin.
Eight packs per box.
One relic per pack, meaning there's something from history in this box.
That's cool.
But it could be like Grover Cleveland's like...
Do you want to open it?
Paperclip, right?
Yeah, that's cool, though.
Want to open it to see what's in the box?
Yes, yes, yes.
Because on the cover, they have George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Lincoln.
It's probably like a peanut from George Washington Carver.
Exactly.
That'd be cool, though.
Okay, so let's open her up.
One relic.
I love the word relic.
This sounds cool.
Here we go.
We got eight cards.
Did you say how much that box was?
$300.
Something like that.
Not one of the most expensive, but also not least expensive.
But it doesn't look like they've been nutted on.
Those are good.
The first one, oh, it looks like a newspaper clipping.
Ah, say?
Get your paper.
Authentic relics.
It looks like, so it says George Washington, Thomas Jefferson.
Congratulations.
You have received an authentic relic.
The front of this card features the following types of authentic and original relics.
Original newspapers, original handwritten letters, time period manuscripts,
letters and documents.
So this must be a newspaper article.
Does it have the whole article on there or just a couple of words?
Reid, do you want to look at this?
Yeah.
No, it's just a square, but Washington is under it.
And so is Thomas Jefferson, but I don't know.
So, I mean, it's got to be from what year is that?
But I don't know that it's two different newspaper clippings.
Maybe you can look and see what DR2 is.
And also I don't see very well on this tiny.
Okay, well, we got newspaper clippings there.
There we go.
Relic pack number two.
It's called 2024 pieces of the past.
If you're looking it up.
Okay, here's something here.
We got Meriwether Lewis, William Clark, and Sacagawea.
What?
This is Lewis, Clark, and Sanchez.
Saka Jua.
It looks like
it's a piece of trio.
It looks like map, three different maps.
It's like an original map from back in the day?
No way.
From the expedition?
That's crazy, dude.
It does say
authentic and original relics.
What the,
Saka Jua?
Time period manuscripts,
letters, and documents,
land grants,
presidential documents,
handwritten words, books, and other relics.
So this has got to be from, like, the maps they used at some point.
Yeah, because that's what they did.
They wrote that a map.
1805.
Around that time.
I don't know.
But why not?
Okay, here's something.
Henry Ford.
She met Lewis and Clark when she was 17 years old.
Here's a relic.
It's a different kind of cards on a white card.
Henry Ford, authentic relic.
And on it, it looks like something's...
like a check or something.
It's so small.
I try to like zoom my thumbs, but it's a card.
It's not a phone.
Features the following.
This is,
bro, this looks like a money order or something for Henry Ford.
That's crazy.
They used.
See, I'm trying to figure out the years.
Like Henry Ford, those in the 20s, maybe?
I wish I told you exactly what it was.
Maybe the internet does.
First car.
Oh, well, 1890s.
Look up POT.
Look at, I don't know, dude.
I'm going with that's a part of a checker of money orders of Henry Ford.
So like 1900.
Or just do 24 pieces of the past.
POTP 9.
Here's one, Abraham Lincoln.
What's the number again?
What is it?
POTP 9.
This is Abe Lincoln.
Henry Ford, here we go.
I don't know what this is.
That's what I saw too.
What did you see?
You don't know?
It's about, for sale for about $10.
What is it?
Doesn't see, I'm trying to explain what it is.
Here's Bill Clinton.
Cigar?
Oh, can you imagine?
It's sticky.
It's Bill Clinton and it's some, I think it says it maybe on it, but I can't read.
The writing's too small.
Let me look at my phone.
Zoom it in.
We should put this at the end.
Dude, that is so genius to buy like something, like a old letter from 1900 and then cut it up in a bunch of pieces and sell it.
an actual piece from Bill Clinton,
but it looks like a letter.
I don't know what it is, though.
Go to blah, blah, blah,
to view the artifact that it came.
Also, all of them,
you can go to the site
and see the artifact that came from.
Ah, that would help.
Do you want to go to...
Give it to me.
The...
Something trading court.
That's too small.
Read, do you.
Do you take this again?
This looks like a book, by the way.
Pieces of a book.
But also, some of these words
aren't real words.
What do you mean?
Maybe the word back then.
This is...
Femile. F-M-I-L-E.
Yeah, that's like a fake smile.
Here is something from, I don't know.
He looked at me and gave me a fomile.
We got two.
I'm going to put read on research duty for all these.
They can give it to a report next time.
Here's Pocahontas.
You got something for Pocahontas?
What is happening?
They could just lie.
They could, but that wouldn't be nice.
It's on the back of the Bill Clinton one.
It'll give us an extensive report.
The book report?
Yeah.
And then this one is from
Congratulations.
A piece of
J.P. Morgan.
Like him?
That looks like a checker.
I thought a bank check or something.
That's cool.
All right.
Well, there's a reason to put this.
How old is J.P. Morgan?
I thought he was still alive.
No, dude, this picture looks like I was taking like 200 years ago.
Okay.
Not sure.
Okay.
Like Charles Schwab.
He's still alive, right?
Yeah, hung out with him.
Yeah, that's what, okay, I remember that.
I'll take my Patrick Ewing and John Claude Van Dan.
over these.
JP Morgan died 100 years ago.
Reid, I give you these two.
And so we already closed the show.
There you go.
We can end it with some good memorabilia.
All right, thanks.
On paper, the three hosts of the Nick Dick and Poll show are geniuses.
We can explain how AI works, data centers, but there are certain things that we don't necessarily understand.
Better version of Play Stupid Games win Stupid Prizes.
Yes.
