All right, welcome to the first episode of 2026, and I don't know where you want me to start, but I will start on, we just flew back into town. We're recording this on Sunday night. So we flew back in, like two hours ago. And so have you been to LaGuardia in New York? It's airport.

I've been before. It's been a bit. It's new and it's nice now. That's where we flew out of it. That I didn't know. It's actually great. Okay. Which it hasn't been.

And so we're getting on the flight because we spend a few days in New York. And I'm not a big judgeer of what people do on planes. This dude pulled out an order of Chinese food that he didn't get at the airport. So it's not even a... a story. It's not even a story of someone buying food that stinks in the airport and then opening it. Because Eddie's a big egg guy. I ate boiled eggs in the morning. Yes. And so he makes the room smell like boiled eggs a lot. This guy pulled out... Has nothing to do with your story, but go ahead. My point is, I don't really judge you on making food smells in that room. They go away pretty

quickly. That's your breakfast. But when you get on a plane in a little tube with 200, other people. It's trapped. And he didn't get it in the airport. If in the airport, you thought, I sure would like some Chinese food, that looks good. Oh, my flight's happening a little quicker than I thought. I'll take it to go. I'll take it on the plane and eat it. Even then, I would go, you're not thinking of others, but I understand. Maybe you weren't thinking at all. This guy brought in a full Tupperware set with plastic spoons, plastic forks. He's done this before. In the middle, opens it up and Caitlin looks at me and goes, oh, she thinks I farted or something on the plane.

It smelled that bad. I look over and he's just going to town on a home brought super stinky Chinese food meal. And I don't want to look around and make the guy feel awkward. But he wasn't, he didn't think anyone would think anything of it. I look over and we all have a bond. These people that I've never talked to before in my life and never met, I still hadn't met them, but we were sitting next to each other on the plane or in rose. I was looking around. They were looking at me. We're like, are you seeing what we're seeing?

Guy was going hard. So that was my experience coming in today. We were in New York. It's cold. Is it? Is it cold? It sucks. Is it snowing? No, it wasn't snowing. But it had snowed before we got there. So there was still some snow on the ground. Oh, that's cool. But we were staying in the city. So there was any snow there because that's so traveled. Yeah, yeah. But it was super cold in New York. so much so when I landed here when it was 45 it felt warm Yeah I was gonna say

It probably felt warm here It was cutting Like I went out And I took a picture And I put it on my Instagram And my nose is so dry For up being cold Like I keep driving my nose

And I put a picture up Because I will go out And I had like three layers on top And had a hood up over my ears But I only had jeans on the bottom Because even if I'm packing for cold I don't really pack things to wear under my pants

do long johns like that's what i told katelyn what am i going to wear long johns yeah i don't even own long johns and so i posted on my instagram a picture and i was like not really a cold guy and you see i'm in layers but do you guys ever wear anything under your jeans no if it's cold no don't you just go cold legs yeah maybe like throw a basketball shorts underneath even then but what's that going to do with how tight my pants are it offers a little bit more of like a thick layer and some comfort there yeah it helps a little bit but i don't like bring that thinking i'm bringing these four this. Top half of my body, I think.

Oh yeah, you're... T-shirt. I had on a hoodie. I had on a coat. I had on a hat over the top of my head and the hoodie over my ears. Shoes, if I need to wear two pair of socks, I will. But pants, it was just one tiny layer of gene.

And I was freezing. And so on that Instagram, the guy commented, you should do more leg work. It looks like we have bird legs. Oh, because you're so big up top. No, I think it's because... No, I think he just thought I had bird legs. Okay.

All right. Really? I think about being an adult. We don't care anymore. Our legs never got bigger. I think legs are just like you are who you are with legs. It's very hereditary. Right? Yeah, I believe that too. With calves especially.

Because I know some dudes that are ripped up who have small. calves and they obsess over their calves and they try to make their calves bigger and I think you probably can't change them a little bit if you put the work into it but you're right I think it's mostly genetic yeah when I see dudes with big calves I'm like dang dude they've had them their whole life yeah like you were born with that for sure no matter what you do whether you work out or not you're gonna have those calves I don't want to say that's absolutely true because I do think there is like 20% you can change you're right dudes with big calves are mostly dudes that were born with big calves have you ever done the calf raising machine at the gym like do they still

Have I done them? Yes, but like one time. Because I don't really feel like they get any bigger. I think I probably even went in my early 20s and tried to get bigger calves. And they never got bigger after six months or so. It was kind of like the machine. Did you ever go to the Y and they had one that was like a, not a rope, but like a cloth and it wrapped around you and it like shook you?

Do you ever see that one? It sounds like a ride. My granny had one of those. You never saw those? No, is that so like it shakes your fat? I don't really know what it was for because it wasn't like to think because we have one at our house now

that you stand on and it shakes you. But what that is, is you have to engage your core the whole time. Yes. And that's the point of it. It shakes you and you have to engage your core as it shakes you. This machine, it was just like a strap,

like a cloth strap that went on your butt and just shook your butt the whole time. Yeah, so like when I watch my old black and white movies, they'll show like a young teenage girl strapped to the washing machine. and she's doing that. And they're like, oh, quit working out. What movies do you watch?

They're like that, like that. That's the only fans, Eddie. That is kind of what they had at the gym, yeah. And you see the girl and she's like, I'm losing weight, Daddy. I guess the shaking of the washing machine made them lose weight. Dang. People are going to see like the shake weights in 50 years from now. That was the thing, too.

And I think if you use that right, though, there was some benefit to a shake weight. Because they shook hard. I'm just saying the same reason you have to engage your core on these new machines. Yeah. If you engage something and you shake it, and maybe that's what that machine was for, but it was like a cloth rope that went around to your butt. I never saw that one.

Anyway, I just got triggered from that dude saying you need to do legs. And not triggered because it bothered me because I know what my legs are, but triggered because, dude, nobody cares about that. And once you get to a certain age as an adult, you don't really care about your legs and how big they are anymore. Yeah, that's an underrated part of being an adult, I feel like. It's not caring. Especially about your calves.

Especially about your calves. But I did. Did you guys have a part of your life where you were conscious? of your calves. Oh, yes. Until probably three months ago, maybe. You're just getting out of this year. Well, you don't care.

No, no, definitely a few years ago. I definitely got past it. But, I mean, pretty much my entire life, especially playing football and lifting and these guys with big calves and big legs. I'm like, oh, man. I feel like every dude had a stage

where they were obsessed with their calves at some point. Yeah, there's never big enough. They could have been six months or it could have been six years, but every dude at some point was obsessed with their calves, especially in pictures.

What, we have five dudes in here? Yeah. You were at a point. was for sure at a point. I was just embarrassed of them. So my obsession was I'll try to make them bigger or I just won't take a picture where you can see them. Yes. Were you ever obsessed with your cabs? Not really because my

quads are small so it was all just like one stick. It's like one size. Why I didn't have huge quads either but I felt like I could hide the quad and shorts. You were long shorts. You don't really see the quad. Man, I never worried about it just because I knew they were small and like it's just whatever dude. Did you ever lift though? No.

In high school I lifted because it's what everyone did. And then like After high school, college definitely didn't lift a weight, not one. Then somewhere like 20s, you know, I would work out a little bit just because I knew I had to be healthy. And then probably the heaviest we've worked out is just like in the last like two years, you and I. I haven't worked out in three months because of my ankle. You dying? I finally got back a little bit this weekend.

We were staying at this hotel and I just went down to the gym and I rode the bike for half an hour. How good that feel? I mean, good, I guess, in my brain. Yeah, exactly. But I've lost all ability to have any sort of cardio. It was great, though, because I didn't wear a brace on my ankle for the first time. And I walked all around New York. And it was the first, I say all around.

It was cold. So we went in a lot of places. But it was the first time that I haven't been super conscious of my ankle the whole time. There were full blocks where I didn't even think about it. That's good. Yeah. And I'd go, whoa. I haven't thought about my ankle.

And I haven't heard it because in the past, I walked on it for three minutes after the surgery. It would kill me. So that's the stage I am. I go to the surgeon on Thursday, and if I get clear, then I get to do some work on it. I ride the bike because the bike is not impact. Yeah. But if I get the clearance from the surgeon this week, I get to finally do like some mild jogging. On a treadmill?

I don't know, wherever. Are you still PT in it? Yes, I have that tomorrow. Okay. Yeah, I go every week, two times a week. And it hurts every time because they make it hurt. How long has it been now? November.

Right before Thanksgiving? And did you have any idea? Because I'm obviously, because I'm going through right now. And I'm, I haven't even started a PT, but I'm like, two and a half weeks in, I'm like, this has been awful. It was awful. It was way harder than I thought I was going to be. Yes. I told my wife, I'd go into surgery, and the next week I'd be back.

I'd probably not be able to jog or anything, but I'd probably back. Right. I was still on a cart. Yeah. Scooter. I was in a boot for three weeks. Yeah, I definitely didn't pay much attention to it. But they said if I didn't fix it, and then we're going to have a baby.

I was going to be in a boot or with a hurt ankle for probably the next... See, that's where you're smart. Like, I can't even lift my kids. And they're, they only weigh 16 pounds and I can't lift them. You have an absent dad? Yeah. You can't do it one hand? My wife, like, she's just doing everything by herself and sit on the couch.

Just like, you need anything else? Open a beer. And that's it. It did get me out of a lot of at-home work, though. I bet it did. The first week and a half, I was on pain pills. Yeah. Where it didn't matter what I did or what I wanted to do.

drive, I couldn't do anything. I was out of it. And then, you know, even though she was pregnant, she had more mobility than I did. So I did very little, watched a lot of television shows. Yes, thank God for football. So, yeah, this first time I had walked, your shoulder's doing what? Like, where are you now? I am past the first two and a half weeks. I got four weeks left. What is the end of the month? And it's just in the sling? In the sling, that is. Yeah, I start PT on Wednesday, going twice a week, and then we go back to, or I go back to the surgeon at the end of the month and hopefully get out of this sling. What'd you do? I had a torn rotator cuff surgery from football 12 years ago. One of those I never got taken care of and then just kept getting worse and it turned

into a full tear. Worst surgery you ever had? My finger. When I sliced my finger and they said it was hanging, the tendon was hanging by like a thread literally. That's recent. Uh, last five years, five, six years ago. But dude, you talk about rehab. You don't think about rehabbing a finger. Okay. Dude, that was. Stop. Because I already, when you said my finger, I was like, I'm going to let him talk. That's his worst one. And when you go, we don't understand finger rehab.

So when they had to sew the tendon back together, my finger was straight and I could not bend it. And they're like, it's going to be a process for you to actually make a fist again. And they weren't kidding, dude. I went in and they would make a mold. And they would make the mold to where I would curve my finger about like a centimeter. And then for one week, I'd work on that centimeter. bend it about a centimeter and then they would move the mold to about like half an inch

move it half an inch and I'll struggle to bend it you should option the movie rights to that it's like the story you're so brave it was torturous okay you do take things for granted though

you do I'm just saying it with my shoulder like just the everyday stuff going to the bathroom with one arm one hand at least it's your left arm though thank God and I was super lucky that it was my left ankle

because I could still drive because I don't have a standard Yeah. So even the boom would fit on the left side, so I wouldn't need it. Yeah. So I was lucky there. Even me driving, I usually drive with my left hand, and now I got to drive my right. And I don't feel as comfortable.

Like, I can drive easily, but I don't know. I feel like if I have to like make a quick decision. You can't do it. Hope it doesn't happen. Worst surgery you ever had? Yeah, this is it. No, actually, the other one is the, I had an appendicitis, my appendix burst. And that, maybe because I was younger, I was 12, I think.

the recovery and everything just was a lot worse. Was this bag of my finger? Nothing is. No, no, you can't make. Making movies about my penics. Did you get your appendix taken out? No, no.

So my spleen. My spleen, probably a little different. I feel like the, is it appendicitis? Yeah. I feel like that's slightly more common. Super dangerous.

I'm glad you didn't die. Me too. Yeah, dude. We're glad you're here with us. They yelled to my parents. Like two more days he would have died. Really? Like, he's a 12 real kid with a stomachache.

Yeah. Dang. You almost, yeah, dude. But I cut them hanging on, you know. Man, that's a good movie, too. I fell off a house and fell onto my stomach onto a boat trailer and rupture my spleen, almost died. That whole thing, that was such a weird. I still have a scar that goes from pretty close to the bottom of my sternum all the way down to, like, my front of my pubic bone.

How old were you? Six. Oh, wow. Yeah, that's a real thing, Brandon. Don't laugh. It's medical, dude. Come on, Brandon. That

The annoying thing about my ankle Because again, ankle surgery It sounds stupid If you cut off your leg And you can't use your leg It's so limiting Ankle knee Yeah

Anything on a leg So I was on a scooter for a while Which was annoying It was in a boot Not I'm sure the arm's tough too But you have to walk

Yeah like the arm You can't Okay you can't grab things You can't wipe the full butt But yeah dude walking That's that's not as bad as the spleen surgery. I've had a few surgeries, but that one was worse than I thought because I really didn't respect it

because I didn't think that I wouldn't be able to walk for a while. I know it's easy to say, like, you look at people right with like two working legs and you're like, oh, lucky you have two working legs. I would get so resentful of people just like skipping on television. Right. I'd be like, you don't even know what you're, you don't even know what you got, man. Which you think that. You think that when you're going through it.

But then like right now that like, okay, your legs are working now. Like, are you ever going to think of that again? No, but I would compare it to whenever you're sick, you're going, man, I should appreciate when I'm not sick. I mean, if I just, I should, the next time I'm just not sick, I should just be like, life is so good because you feel so bad when you're sick. You ever have those moments? You're like, man, the next time my throat's not sore, I'm going to live it up.

I'm going to appreciate it so much. And then your throat's not sore. You don't think about it because your throat's not sore. But, you know, I'm trying to really take it in and I'm starting to get better. That's like, I know you've never, you've never drank, but Eddie can probably relate. Oh, I'm never drunk. drinking again. When you're hungover and you're just like, I'll never, ever drinking again. Like, I will, I just, I'm sorry God. But that's a little bit of self-imposed.

It is. It is. Like, you did that to yourself. It is, dude. But you're, you're praying to the gods being like, God, I'm telling you right now. Cut my leg off. I messed up. When you're sick, you didn't really mess up. You're just like, well. Yeah. But I'd probably be sick than hung over at some points. Dude, being hung over feels like you're dying. Okay. But I would say the difference is you know why and you know it'll be over soon. Yes, but it's hard. It's hard to see that light. It's three or four days of, you don't know when you're going to get better.

And the gradual climb back from the flu. You've all had the flu. Yeah, that's bad. It takes sometimes three weeks to get back. Yeah. Bro, I think COVID was worse than the flu. Oh, COVID. The one I had, the first COVID.

The Florida COVID? Oh, dude. You got COVID in Florida? Yeah. I got it at the, like, the peak of COVID. Like, the peak of COVID. Like the people were saying don't get COVID. peak.

Like the peak, I was in the frenzy of the peak of COVID. Like March, April? Or? It was probably April, right? Okay. It was like right when it launched. Somehow Tom Hanks and Eddie got it. Yeah, yeah.

We were the two. America was just completely sad because Eddie and Tom Hanks had COVID. Wait, didn't he go to like another country or something? Australia. Did you go with him? No. And like the news was like, Tom Hanks. We're all sad.

We're like, no. Poor Tom. What? But Eddie had COVID, and it was so early in the process that it was if someone has COVID, they could kill you. Gotcha. And so we made Eddie stay home until he tested negative. Correct.

What we learned later was... It could test positive for like two years. So Eddie stayed home for a month? Forever, dude. And I would go back to the doctor every week and be like, I need to take another test. And they're like, you've been here like every week for a month. It's going to test positive. Like it's going on.

I'm like, will you stick it on my butt? I got to get back to work. Something else, man. Stay away from my nose. Worst surgery you ever had, Mike? luckily just wisdom teeth removal so that doesn't really count

you're lucky but that sucks because I've had wisdom teeth taken out it's tough I think it counts I think if you have a bad one I know people

that have had wisdom teeth taken out of a bad and it wasn't that bad and you have to drink out of a straw for like a week or some a couple days like what's the worst

yeah a few days I had mine taken I got dry sockets really bad oh that's when it gets bad that's when it yeah it crushed

no I did I was on like hydrocodone And I don't take that medicine. It hurts so, really? It hurts so bad. I was on hydrocodone. Yeah, I took that medicine. I messed me up.

Yeah, I messed me up. My feet were floating. Dang. And I was not going to stop taking this. I would lay in the bed and my feet would be lifted above my house. Oh, God. That's what I felt before the surgery with the shoulder. Did you take the prescribed amount?

Like, is that normal for you to feel like that? Yes. Wow. But I flushed them. I flushed them. Oh, no. You're like in the movies. I got a flushed him.

So I flushed them immediately. Brandon, work surgery? When I was 13 and 14, I had to have two surgeries on my foot. I have about six-inch screws, two six-inch screws in my left foot. And it was awful. And I feel it every day. Still? Yeah, especially when it's cold.

Because there's a foreign body in your foot? Yeah. Is it trouble with metal detectors? No. Oh, good question. Yeah, thank you. Like at the airport? Sir, you have to go through again.

Good question. I thought there would be, but there's no trouble. Do you ever, like, tell them, you should check my foot? Yeah, all the time. Guys, before I go through, you should know when I was 13. I couldn't do anything. We went to Alabama for a few days at my wife's family farm down there. But even then, I was just like, I can't do anything. You're a family farm? Dang. Yeah, a bunch of acres down there. Is that why you married her? Yeah.

What had your reason? No, yeah. So we went down there for a few days, but we had to leave a day early because the kids got sick too. The baby's got sick. So we had to take off out of there and take them the doctor. They had some ear infections. Did they both get sick at the same time? Same time. Did you get it? I got like a little tickle in my throat, but nothing more than that. Did you want to be away from them once they were sick? So you didn't get sick? Well, I was already away from them anyway because of my shoulder. Oh, yeah.

Yeah. Well, you weren't touching them. I could hardly play with them, do anything with them. So I was all right. But nobody else really got sick. There was just them. And so they're still on antibiotics now, but they're almost some of them. So it's been kind of a crappy break, honestly. My wife was asleep by 10. I was asleep by 11. What did you guys do?

Yeah. We watched it. We watched it. We can kind of see downtown from our house. So we watched like the fireworks. It was cool because we got to see it on TV and in person because like it was on TV at the same time while it was happening in person. But we just, dude, New Year's like there's nothing.

Like the boys want to stay up. They're excited. because oh, we get to see it until midnight, but we ever don't do anything. You know what I did over the break that I haven't done in probably four years? I added friends on Facebook. Wow. Why? I don't ever get on Facebook.

Why would you do such a thing? And I don't have it on my phone. Like, I don't even have Facebook on my phone. So, like, new friends? I went on to, I got on my laptop, and I went to Facebook, and it said something like, hey, you need to log in. It looks like there's been some fishy account. I got one of those messages.

So I went through and kicked out whoever was on it, got my page back. But it was very easy. So they must have just, I just got the, I guess I got the code. The verification code. Yeah, yeah. And I was like, well, I didn't do this. So let me go to Facebook. And I couldn't log in.

So I changed my password, got in. And I had like a thousand requests. I hadn't been on Facebook and forever. And so I went through. like five or so. I added like three friends. People that I have the thousand. People that I know. Yeah, a lot of them. I don't even know. I don't even know. I don't even know. I don't even maintain a Facebook page. And so and sometimes though it'll post. What happens is though my faith, it's linked through my Instagram. So people think I live an active Facebook life.

Like the 100 people from college, a couple from high school. Because if I post something on Instagram, it goes through to Facebook. And it also goes through to threads. So people see it and think I'm on Facebook. Then they try to add me and I'm not, but add to like three friends on Facebook. Cool. That's awesome. Did you message them too or just add them? No talking. They requested me. I just accepted the invitation.

Oh, okay, okay. I thought you meant you added them. Like, you're like, you know what? Now I'm going to add some people too and you went to three random people that you thought of. I didn't go anywhere. No, I kind of stayed on my own base. Okay. The thing about Facebook that's weird because I did scroll a bit through the feed, people

fall for everything on that page. Yeah. Because they're all old. And older people fall for things. Like they had. a movie trailer for like Rocky 9 that's awesome I guess it wasn't it was like a movie picture

like an AI picture they do those so much on Facebook they're hilarious I've not it looked you fell for it too it's not that I felt for it looked real I have a pretty good AI because I use it so much that I can tell most of the time

when something is AI especially if it's a computer generated image but I saw it and I thought Rocky 9 have they even made eight and then I started going this creed counts yeah I was going through Balboa

Balboa's got to count as something and so they're not making it and as I scrolled it was just a lot of fake stuff it was like there was another one on some country site that my algorithm fed me on Facebook it was like Luke Combs tells

Lany Wilson to shove it with her liberal ways and like none of that happened and then if you look at the comments everybody's fired up like it's true that's what happened yeah they're like I told you. So I had a moment on Facebook. That's fun.

You can go back or are you done? Well, I don't know that I have interest to go back other than us talking about it, but I think I'm still logged in. So if I go now... You got to get it on your phone. I will not get it on my phone because I don't value it so much. And if I get it on my phone, like this is who my algorithm feeds me. Because I just haven't been on it a lot.

like they're trips okay pictures yeah people getting back together Now, that's what I'm seeing. I'm seeing, oh, here's one. I take pictures of radio and TV stations and I can join. And it's just people in a group that go and take pictures of radio stations and TV stations.

It's literally that. Like outside this TV station? It's a tower. I'm looking at a tower. A radio tower. Here's a good one. I got Liar, Liar 2, The Whole Truth, starring Jim Carrey and Miles Teller is his son. Let's go.

Yeah, it's a fake one. Yeah. And they believe that crap. I'd watch that. Sounds good. So, yeah. I added that on to my. So what do you have on your phone?

Just like Twitter, Instagram? No, I probably TikTok, Twitter, obviously Instagram. I think those are three that I use the most. You still Snapchating? No, dude, I haven't you Snapchat. Have you heard the story about our friend

that shared his penis with the whole group? Yes. That was crazy, dude. I said I was sorry. He meant to just share it with one girl. Oh, my God. Except he put it out on the public line. And he was kind of a part of us for a while.

So he had some followers. And it's just a picture of his don't. Sent it to everyone. Wait. It was like, I thought it was just to you guys. No, no,

no, he sent it. He posted. He put it on his feed. Oh, like his story kind of thing. Yes. I haven't been on Snapchat

since when I lived in Brentwood. Oh, those days. Like the first couple years we lived here, that was it. Mother Brentwood. Yeah.

The Brentwood. Brantwood. Okay. I guess we can talk about some sports. That is kind of what we do. Do we have to? Yes. I'm rooting for Ole Miss

when the National Championship now. That would be cool. Okay. No Oregon? I just think it would be hilarious for Lane Kiffin to leave Ole Miss and them to win a championship when Lane Kiffin left so he could go win a championship somewhere. Yeah. I think that would be hilarious. Yeah.

I would like to see Ole Miss beat Miami. I think that would be a pretty good game, although I bet a thousand bucks on Georgia to win the whole thing and they got beat. Indiana looks really good. Oregon looks really good. It's like that side has the two stronger teams. Right. But I don't think anything anymore. Yeah, you have no idea.

Because who knows? Yeah, who knows. That's crazy. But I think I'm officially rooting for Ole Miss to win just because that would be so funny with Lane Kiffin leaving so he could go win a national championship because he can't probably win one at Ole Miss

and them to win one. I don't think they will because I don't think their offensive defensive line is strong enough, but that's what I would like to see. If you were an assistant coach, do you think you would want to leave and go to LSU? You know the whole debacle's going through right now. You would go to LSU, I think.

But the only one that's getting to stay now, with the next round games is Weiss Jr. Yeah. And I don't think Lane Kiffin thinks he's going to even go to LSU. But I don't know. I read today that just Charlie Weiss Jr., which the pictures of him as a kid

on the sideline of Notre Dame with his dad are really funny. Yeah. Because he's like 11. His headset on. When Weiss is a head coach there? Yeah. I haven't even seen those. Yeah, it's funny.

Gosh, I feel like that, that doesn't feel like that long ago when he was the head coach there. Oh, that's a guy. So how old is his son? He must be pretty young. 32. Okay. I don't know.

How old Charlie Weiss Jr.? 32. Yeah. Wow, that's crazy, dude. That doesn't feel like a long time ago when his dad was the coach. Dang, that is crazy. Yeah, it's probably 20 years ago.

Yeah. That was a long time ago now. A load of her name. So what was Shane Beamer? I saw something on TikTok. Shane Beamer was upset because Lane Kiffin hired one of his assistants without calling him.

Yeah. Because generally what's supposed to happen is if you're going to hire somebody from a staff, they won't tell you no. But you should have... It's like a heads up. You should have the courtesy to call and go, hey, I want to interview and hire your guy. Because you just want to know before they come in and go, hey, I'm going to leave for another job.

So you can start getting in the process of finding someone in case they leave. But that's in this business too. Like when I hired Scoob of Steve, I called Ryan Seedrest. Because he was working for Ryan. Yeah, he was working for Ryan in a different position. And I called Ryan. I was like, hey, I'm going to interview your guy. I met him once.

but just it's a bigger job than he had with Ryan. And so I think that's generally what that rule is. But that's why Beamer was pissed. It was because he didn't get a call. Yeah. I like how he's on the podium, just saying all of it. Yeah.

Anyway, go Ole Miss. Oh, get this. So fantasy's over. And the big money league that I planned, I had the best team all year. I got to buy, I was the number one overall seed, got to buy the first week,

kill the guy the next week. And so I went to the championship. And going into the last night, I was up like 34 points, I think. Going into the last game, he had one player. Can you guess who that player was? McAfree? No, I had McCaffrey that night before because he played on Sundays. Bajon.

Wait. Oh, Bajon. Oh, dude, record night. He went off in the first half. Yeah. That's brutal. Yeah. That's for the championship.

Yeah. Do you get money for second place? Yeah. Okay, good. Yeah, I got a few hundred bucks for second place. You get a little something. But I was, I never am for sure of anything. but I thought

I looked at all of B. John's games. His highest, he had a 29 point, a 29 point. He had, I think, maybe a 30, but he needed like 34 something to beat me and he ended up getting 36. Yeah, fantasy is very frustrating. He broke a 70-yarder in the first half, 70-yard touchdown.

He scored a touchdown off a pass and then broke a, so that was frustrating. But it's fantasy, so I don't get super upset about it. I do. I was number one in both of my leagues this year, and I lost everything. I got a buy in both rounds and then I ended up losing.

In the league that we're all in together, I got fourth place. That's crazy. You were the best team all year, yeah. And then I played, was it signs? Yeah. Signs for third.

And Puka, remember that catch that he almost had at the very end on the sideline? That would have won me the game. Oh, for third, though. Yeah, for third. Who cares about it? Listen, I feel bad for you to be the best team.

In two leagues. And to lose? That sucks. Yeah. Frustrated. I don't even feel that bad for me, though. except for it was 30. It was like the best game of all year.

Yeah. And I ran into that, and he was the one player left. I wasn't that frustrated. Yeah. Had a good season. I think I lost two games the whole year, plus that final game. And that's a big money league. That's fun.

It's so crazy. This new league, this league that we're in, the one with the, you know, the... I call that Little Money League. Yeah. Ours? Yeah. Are the Whirling together? Us three, that's Little Money?

Oh, no, no, no. That's not fantasy. Yeah, what is that? I don't even know that. It's called a Skins League. Oh, God. You're talking about the skin. Yeah, that GINSley has made me not give a crap about fantasy.

Like, not give a crap. Yeah, because we're losing so much. That's fair. It's 6-6-6-6-0. We're going to lose like $5,000, $6,000. Nope. Oh, my God. Don't say that.

No, no, there's really not a way we don't at this point. So at what point do you tell your wife? I don't. I might not. I had somebody, a couple people will DM me on Instagram. They're like, hey, you guys need to call Eddie's wife and record it. I'm like, no, I don't think we could do that. I've given her so much crap about Christmas spending.

There's no way that she can know about this. That's your hopeful. There's no way she can know about this. What are you going to do? Nothing. Just going to pay it. But she doesn't know. I thought she ran the money.

No, I have an extra side account. Oh, no. But it's not like that. It's not like that. Every year I have this extra side account. It's like my draft king's fund. And I have enough money to cover there, hopefully. If I have to dip into the regular fund, dude, I'm in trouble.

I'm like, did you're everywhere now. Like, the thing that we as Americans like about our icons is all the information about them isn't out all the time and they're not hooking up with influencers. Yes. Yeah. You're talking about the Alex Errol thing? That's just one part of it. One thing. Yeah, yeah.

So, yeah, New Year's Eve, he was Alex Earl. And who knows what he was with? But her hands were all, her hands were like rubbing his back and stuff where that's not just somebody you just met. Yeah. For sure. She was very comfortable with him. Very comfortable.

Yeah. Whether or not he was giving it back, probably not in public. He definitely wasn't. But yeah, she was very comfortable. But what are you guys upset about? No, not upset. I just wonder, is it tarnishing his eye comments? status because when he was the best, it wasn't like he was all over social media.

You didn't know much about him other than he won. And that was pretty much all we knew was he played, he won, he was great, he's a champion, he's a good looking, that's it. A little bit about his wife, Giselle, supermodel, stays private, doesn't put his kids on the internet a lot. But now there's a couple things. One, he is associated with Raiders and they suck. Yeah, owner.

And I think that hurts him a little bit. Now, he can dig his way out, but it's like Michael Jordan with the Wizards. You started to go, well, maybe this guy isn't the all-knowing. So there's that. And it's unfair. He's only been there one year, but they are terrible. They have the number one pick. They're the worst team in the NFL.

They'll have the number one pick next year. There's that. There's, say, Alex Earle, there's Sophia Vergara. There's all these chicks he's been rumored to be with. Look, have at it. Yeah, he's single. So we're not judging him for that, but the more we know about it, the more it seems like he's just a TMZ guy. And then he's on a boat with DeCaprio.

He went on a young with DeCaprio and all those guys. And again, have at it, but it makes him seem like a TMZ guy more than an iconic NFL quarterback. Because he could easily be like, he knows what he's doing, obviously. Everything he does is very calculated. Always has been and always will be. So I feel like everything he's doing now in the public is on purpose. So the boat is like, hey, I know I'm going to be, these pictures are going to get out. There's a yacht and he's out there with DiCaprio.

The pictures aren't close, but you probably think there's a chance that it's going to be seen by someone. He's probably just like screw it, man. Let people think whatever they want to think. I'm living my best life. I'm sure he is, but it does affect how people feel about him. I mean, you're a massive Patriots fan. I just wondered if you thought he was a little more douchey now. Yeah, I do.

Even when he went to the, well, I mean, same with Belichick. his girl. Like, it's just not the same anymore in my eyes. The more you know about somebody, the more duchy they are, because we generally are just flawed humans. Right. And we didn't know that much about Belichick or Brady, but that made us respect them because all we knew them for was winning. Yeah. And you let your imagination be like, you know what, they're great people too. All they do is win and they don't like get in the spotlight and they don't get in trouble. They're great people, great people. And then now you see more and more and you're like, they're just people. They're just like us. Dang it.

They're not gods. He's just like me, except way richer and better looking. It's up with influencers. Better at throwing a football. With DiCaprio. There's a couple, couple things. What about Gronk? Is he ruined it for you?

No, Gronk's, because he's always been like that, I feel like. He's always been in the spotlight even when they lost Super Bowl back in the day. He was at a party. And he's always been known for being an idiot. Yeah. If he was Gronk the educated as he played, who was like, this guy just studies his playbook, always knows what's up. And he wasn't even, it wasn't an idiot.

But he's just. more of a version of what we were already being fed of him, we're getting a different feeding of Tom Brady. Yeah, completely different person. Again, it's TMZ guy. Yeah. And we don't like our world-class athletes to be TMZ guy, which is why all of the athletes from 90s, 80s, 70s,

they still remain godlike because there's not all this extra information out about them because they're old now or they're dead. Yep. And we would only see them when they were doing the thing they were great at, not when they were doing the things that probably make them look different. And that's why I wonder, like, with this social media age in the last 10 plus years, like now that's only we're going to know

is these athletes and their private life or whatever they choose to put on there. You know, like there won't be that Tom Brady before social media where he's a great player. But I was like Tom Brady lived in that time where he didn't share even though. Yeah, I always just wondered if that was a Patriot thing too. I don't know.

As soon as he left there, he went to the bucks, became like this outgoing, what talked during press conferences, and then he retired and then became part of the media and all that and he's built since then. always just wonder if that a patriot thing. But at the same time, Belichick, he's embraced it, but that's because of a 23-year-old girlfriend. Yeah, that's weird.

I saw another thing about them on TMZ. It's her. It was her. Talking about haters. Yeah. Oh, boy. I didn't see that. It was her talking about haters, her and Belichick.

Oh, man. Yeah. Cowboys, they're done now. Done. I didn't watch the game. They lost. Cool. Cool.

Great. Better graphic. Giants. Better graphic. Are you happy it's over? Yeah. Yeah. The torture's over.

We get to kind of just watch football now for fun. The playoffs are going to be exciting just to watch the playoffs. Yeah, that's fine, dude. It's fine. Diggs went to the Packers. I feel like the Packers are taking all the Cowboys, but whatever. We didn't want him anyway. We dropped him.

You cut him. You cut him. So the Packers picked him up. I released him, I guess. Yeah. Would that been just sour for a year or two now? Who knows? He just had a big deal, like two years?

No, I mean, he played a few games this year. It's just like, then he got hurt. Yeah. And then it's like, is he coming back and there's, he would come out and say, I'm ready to play, but they're not playing me for some reason. Then he played and he was terrible. Then they sat him again. Then they cut him.

Who knows? But yeah, dude, it was whatever. This year's over. Move on. It's like, I think Kevin said on the, on the text thread, like, football couldn't end any suitor. Oh, yeah. I'm done with it.

We just have a big bill to pay. Yeah. I know, dude. That's only going to get bigger from our students. Stupid league. This year was a bad year for football. Well, two of our first and second place teams that we drafted in our league, both had injured quarterbacks and Bill Chiefs and Bengals.

Yeah, I was watching a... The freaking Bengals lost it again this week with their quarterback. I know, with their quarterback. But Miles Garrett got his record. Who cares? For a sack. Good for him. Who cares?

Yeah. Being sarcastic, I know. It was stupid. It was stupid. Did you see who's the Bengals? Zach Taylor? He was a little upset that they stopped the game to celebrate. It was so brief, though, when they stopped the game.

I was watching the game, and I watched one, because Burrow kind of fell. It really wasn't a big sack. It just kind of slid down. And I also thought he wasn't going to get it, because it was fourth quarter, I think, by the time. Yeah, it was five minutes left. That sack happened. And the Bengals were needing a score to win the game, and so they were constantly running away from Miles Garrett. I didn't think it would happen.

And then it was just like Burrough fell in Miles Garrett tapped him. And then Miles Garrett did the prey. hands, all the team jumped on it for a second. But they got back at it pretty quick, I thought. It really wasn't that long at all. I didn't think so either. It wasn't like an NBA thing where they literally stopped the whole thing. Dude, cameras come out. What was the college game that never ended?

Is it Ohio State? I saw the Notre Dame basketball coach charged the ref, but that's not, that's not that game. That was funny. I saw it live, that was cool. The Ole Miss Georgia at the very end. Ole Miss Georgia, you never ended because they kept saying there was a time left on the clock and after everyone. Dude, they brought out the

stage and everything. They're going to have to remove the stage. I didn't see this. They did it two times. Yeah. Where like, okay, then they pulled the stage back out. They looked at, reviewed it. They did, they said, okay, game's over.

They brought it out. No, no, no, games not over. They moved the stage back out. The old miss coach was so pissed off. Yeah. They were like, just, just let it run. It's over. Game's over.

Let it all mess? Yeah, the interim. There's an interim. Oh, football. Yeah, yeah. It was football. Oh, yeah. It was football.

It was football. Yeah, it was at the very end. When they got the onside kick. And there was like one second left. I turned it off because the game was over. Yes, dude, it was hilarious. You made the right decision. Yes.

It was like, is it over or is it not over? I thought you guys met basketball. And it's like 10.30 at night. And I'm like, what am I doing? It was an onside kick. And Ole Miss, no, it was. Georgia. Georgia was trying to get it back.

And Ole Miss was not touching the ball. So Georgia touched it. And if that's the case, like. No time comes off the clock. No time comes off the clock. So they touch it, game's over. No, it's not. You know when I changed it?

It was when they threw the backwards pass that went out of bounds and they called it a safety. And then I looked at the score and I saw there were plays after that, but I was like, oh, who cares? It didn't matter. That all happened after that. All happened after that. Yeah, because they had to kick it after the safety and ended up being an onside.

There was even ice on the field. They're like, I get the ice off the field like from the Gatorade bucket. Yeah, I changed it because I was pissed because I lost so much money. Yeah. Yeah. That's stupid. But that Notre Dame, that was crazy. He was about to kill the ref.

Yeah. Four point play. Yeah. That foul was pretty bad. It was a terrible foul. Yeah, it's bad. It's bad. They didn't suspend the coach, so I thought they should have suspended the coach.

Oh, they didn't. I don't think so. Well, he didn't do anything. They stopped him. Dude, those assistants were. It doesn't matter. You can't do that. Not even.

Like, nothing happened. Dude, he was going to kill him. But thankfully, nothing happened. And he was a thick fella. Yeah, he was. Yeah. That belly was coming out of the shirt. It was crazy, dude.

Yeah, he was pit. Like, what I wondered when I, because I didn't watch that live. I watched it live. You did? Yeah. Oh, wow. What I wondered when watching it was, what would have happened if they would have let him go. He would have killed the ref.

He wouldn't have literally killed him. The ref was so funny too. He's like, oh, oh, you're talking to me? And then just kept on walking. Like, just nonchalong. Probably pissed him off even more. Yeah, probably. Just like, oh, no big deal. And then all his assistants grabbed them. Like, hey, come on, coach, come on, coach, whatever. You still have to say

like, good, good game. You have to do the good game line. Yeah. I have a friend that's a SEC ref. I think he's the head of the SEC refs. And so I went to he was reffing an Arkansas game which he hates doing

because he's from Arkansas and my theory is he's even harder on Arkansas because he knows people know he's from Arkansas so he has to be even harder on them so people don't think he's giving them the benefit of the doubt at all and so when the game was over

as soon as the game's over you've seen them all get out they get out immediately and they go to a dressing room that's nowhere near any other dressing room it's like a closet they get dressed so quick and they shoot out through another side entrance and I went up with them

and they go out an elevator that's the back of the building and they're out the back doors. Do they have security with them or anything? It was just them. There was no security with us and I was walking out with them but it was very,

it was very hastily maneuvered. Yeah, like they immediately went out went to this room that didn't look like a dressing room by the way. It was just like a conference type room. They switched their clothes quick. You were in there the whole time?

Uh-huh. That's crazy. They switched their clothes quick. They weren't like running. Do they even like talk to each other Or did they're talking. They're not like running. They're not scared.

They wasn't even controversial game. The Notre Dame coach wasn't trying to beat them up or anything. And but because of that, they changed the clothes and they go up, they went up the elevator and hopped out like an entrance that's not a real entrance. And their cars are right there and they boom and they get out. That's cool. It's just so nobody, it's just their general mode of operation. So nobody gets like the chain gang.

Same. We get special parking and all that. Like a locker room too? No, no. It's just we park right by the gate. Do you miss the season? Yes, I do. The Chiefs are now losing to the Raiders, 9 to 6.

Oh, my God. That's just to make it worse. The Patriots are up 310, we're good. That game is good. How much time left in the Chiefs? 13 minutes in the 4th. Okay, that's good. Six to nine.

There's a chance. It's good. They've scored, they have six points. Who's their quarterback? I don't even know who that is. Yeah, yeah. Oladaken and Aiden O'Connell is the Raiders quarterback. Oh, wow.

Right now, Aiden O'Connell has six. 65 yards passing in the fourth, and Oladokin, whatever his name is, it has 58 yards passing. Wow. Good for you guys. The lead receiver for the Chiefs is Noah Gray with 30 yards. Okay. Wow. Is Kelsey even playing?

Probably not, right? They're going to lose. We're going to lose that money, too. Man, I saw a replay of a game the other day, and it was a Chiefs last year against, I don't know who. They were like 15 and 1. I'm like, oh. They were winning all those close games last year. I just thought about it.

That's what we thought was going to happen this year. Miles Garrett sets to the. sack record in season. Cam Little kicked the second longest field goal ever. 68? No, 68 was the longest. 67 was today, I believe. Yeah. Oh, wow. And they did the dance after.

Yeah. Here's the thing. We have to stop with these balls. Because every kick now is long. The shaving them and... Well, they get them at the beginning of the year. Rub them down? So they get to beat them up. Yeah. They're the kicker balls. Yeah. It used to be where you would get them week of the game. There's only so much you can do to those balls.

Now you get them at the beginning. beginning of the year. So yeah, you can put them in microwave. Wrap them up and foil for a little bit. It's why all the kicks are so long. And it's the combination of that, the kicks are now longer because the balls are made for easier, better kicks. It's that and combine it with the ball is placed further up the field now because of the new kickoff rule. Correct. You're right. It's a 20-yard. It's like, 30-yard. It's like two plays. When we saw the Browns and the Bengals and the Browns be the Bengals, you just know the ball

is going to be started 30, 35, two passes. You got to. You got. You Got a good kicker. Right. Yeah, Cam Little, you don't even need to get to the 50. Is rubbing those balls down like that much of a difference? Is that really? Like, that's crazy how they figured that out. If that guy with half a foot who played for the Saints, if he would have known that,

they got 80 yards. But they didn't have time to do that because they got the balls the beginning of the game week. They did do that. They tried. Back in the 60s? Well, at least before this year. When was that guy? That guy, he was 60s, right?

Tom Dempsey. That's him. Set the record a 63-yard field goal in 1970. And you imagine all the kickers then being like, that's not fair? The dude has half a foot. He was born without toes on his kicking foot and used a custom shoe. You ever see it? His laces were on the heel

It's like if you saw a sprinter with robotic legs Yeah You're like that ain't fair I wonder if they felt that way about Dimpsey Kevin he would lace him like behind The laces were like back in the back of the shoe His legendary kick beat the Detroit Lions Setting a record of the Super 43 years

And highlighted his incredible feat of playing in the NFL With a physical disability Oh he's a big boy too Dude he used to kick how you kick I know Charlie Brown's Charlie Brown straight He was born with that toe on his right foot and born with that fingers on his right hand.

Oh, I didn't know that part. That's what I see right here in this picture. So, okay, so yeah. Well, you feel bad now? Yeah, that's tough, man. The hand. Yeah, Eddie knows what that's about. Yeah, no, I know the struggle with fingers.

Maybe that's why you felt that way. Yeah, that rehab was tough. Jim Abbott. Yes. He would kind of just like hold the glove, right? Like just, it would lean. It would put it like on his shoulder and the bend of his arm and he would throw and his hand would go right into it.

Yeah, and he was worn without a right hand. That's amazing. He had a 10-year major league baseball career. He pitched a no-hitter for the Yankees in 1993 and he would throw...

Do you remember Jim Abbott at all? No. I mean, I know he is and I've seen the pictures, obviously, but I don't know if I... I don't remember watching him at all. I do. Yeah, same.

And he... It wasn't a big deal because he just existed. I mean, he was just... Awesome. Or good. Just the fact that you couldn't see him put his hand in the glove

like after the pitch. Well, it was just like one motion. I was like, boom. Yeah. And then it was ready. It was ready to go. Yeah, that's crazy. And if they hit it back to him, he'd catch it.

And then he would take, what he would do is he would then put his glove like in his arm, pull out his hand, take the ball out of the glove and throw it. That's too much. That's crazy. He did it all the time on comebackers. It wasn't a big deal at all. It was just natural. He'd catch it, boom. Put his glove, pull it off with the other arm.

Take the ball out of it and throw it. God, that's amazing. Yeah, that's awesome. I saw a coach. one of my kids basketball games, he was, he was missing two legs and one arm. Missing like he couldn't find him? He didn't have it. Oh, he was maybe born without him.

Either that or lost him, whatever. Don't know, but he only had one arm. And he was in a wheelchair coaching, coaching and moving, you know, with the one hand, like moving the wheel back and forth. And like, I just thought, like, that's amazing that, like, if I lost all that, I'd be like, I'm done. I made the mistake of telling my wife when she was. starting to get pregnant, I was like, man, if I was pregnant like that, I'd never leave the house.

Oh. You're pregnant like that? Dang, dude. What she said? She was like, ah, like, she was starting to get bigger. She was like, this is weird. Yeah. And I was like, you're handling that awesome because if I was pregnant like that, I would never

leave the house. Dude, that's not good. Did she just turn around and walk away? Why did you even think about saying that? You didn't think. Yeah, there was no thinking involved. You just said. Yeah.

Very little thinking. It gets brought up a lot now. I didn't mean it like that. What I meant was I'm so insecure that I would be like, oh. Yeah. And I was trying to say it as a compliment. Like, look how brave you are. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Right, right. Come on, man. You're such a strong woman. I don't have the strength to go out like that. I wouldn't do that. Okay, I think that's it. Anything else you guys have? I do want to say something to Kevin.

Yeah. You can't take credit for whenever. you claimed your favorite team's player is the MVP, even if you wins it. If you were fighting for somebody that's not your favorite team, okay. But you were like, Drake Mae should be the MVP, but you're only saying that the whole time because that's your favorite team. No, but I said he's, you're talking about the Josh Allen clip? I'm talking about it period this whole year where you're like, Drake May should be the MVP

the NFL. You would say that. You would say that. Yeah. And he might. Because he's the MVP. But you were only saying that because you were a fan now. Now it makes more sense, but you can't go back like you were some great prognosticator.

I said he's the second coming to Josh Allen. You did say that. Yeah. But you wouldn't have said that had the Patriots not been your favorite team. That was a big part of why you were saying it. I don't know. If it was a team that I hated, definitely not. You wouldn't say that.

I wouldn't say that. But if a team that I didn't really care about, then... You wouldn't even care to talk about the MVP, as my point. Because it's your guy, you were just constantly... Yeah, I mean, there's definitely some bias in there. And now you turned out to be right. Yeah. Which...

And he may not win it. He may win it. Yeah. Yeah, I think... I think he... You probably will. I think he's probably going to win it, which I didn't expect even just a couple weeks ago,

but Stappar's falling off here. Yeah, that Falcons game was bad. Yeah, I mean, I could see where you're coming from, but at the same time, I'm like... No, I'm coming from the exact right spot. Would you say it? Would you say it if it was not your team? No.

He wouldn't have been saying it the whole time. You wouldn't have said. Not the whole time, but the last month or so... You would say it? Yeah, I would say it. Yeah. But like I said, if it was a team that I didn't... Like, say if it was Brock Purdy,

I'm just not believing anything you're saying at this point because you were just saying it because he's your guy. Yeah, but that would be like a lot fighting for a cub or a razorback to one coach of the year. But it's also because like obviously I watch them every week, right? It's like if you don't watch somebody every week, you have no idea how good they really are. So I feel like I was watching them every week and watching how good he was playing. And I'm like, dang, people still don't realize how great he's playing right now. And here we are at the end of the year, MVP. I don't know.
