But the pregnancy appeared to be a hoax.
Starting point is 00:01:17 You doctored this particular test twice, Ms. Ellen, correct? I doctored the test ones. It took an army of internet detectives to uncover a disturbing pattern. Two more men who'd been through the same thing. The last be end. Michael Marantini. My mind was blown.
Starting point is 00:01:33 I'm Stephanie Young. This is Love Trapped. Laura, Scottsdale Police. As the season continues, Laura Owens finally faces consequences. Listen to Love Trapped podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. We're back and I'm sad.
Starting point is 00:02:12 Yeah, sorry, dude. Yeah, I know. 25 whistles, blah, blah, blah. Blah the whistle are good. Presented by Drag King Sportsbook and official sports. partner of the NFL, download the Drive King's app, and use the code Bobby Sports to get in on the action. It's Arkansas loss, and it sucks. It sucks. It sucks. Kevin?
Starting point is 00:02:31 Yeah, Patriots got whooped, and it sucks. Yeah. It sucks really bad. Who do they get whooped by? I don't know. The Austin Longhorns. Hey, and the Cowboys are back, baby. Okay.
Starting point is 00:02:44 We're back. They're back. You're back. You're back. The Patriots are really bad. You're almost back. Well, I did have a theory. You're as close back than I can remember you being in like 10 years.
Starting point is 00:02:54 Yeah, man. 15 years. I mean, after four weeks, sure. Yeah. Yeah. Even with Diggs out. Yeah. I think is Bland, the guy that got two picks yesterday, I think he is his replacement.
Starting point is 00:03:05 So if he's got two picks and he's Diggs replacement, I think we're going to be okay. Well, that's not exactly how it works. It doesn't? Nope. But I do like that he had some encouraging numbers and plays. I think he got bullied last week. So I think it's a huge. improvement that he...
Starting point is 00:03:20 Well, it helps when our number one wide receiver is... Who? Juju? I thought you were going to say hurt as to say who. You're number one receiver's here. We don't have one.
Starting point is 00:03:27 Right, right, right. Our tight end. You have two tight ends. Yeah. And Goseki. And Gaseki. Those are our number one guys. Man, Henry made a one-handed catch.
Starting point is 00:03:35 Yeah, that was nice. It was not. I mean, moving to his left, one-handed falling. It was awesome. But yeah, that's about the only highlight. Yeah, we got nothing on offense. Nothing.
Starting point is 00:03:44 That's a bag. I really did feel for Belichick a little bit because, I mean, obviously he's a mastermind. It's a genius at the game, but he's just got nothing to work with. And I feel bad for him. But that's also on him because he's a GM.
Starting point is 00:03:56 That's true. Absolutely. I love him. It's like Lincoln Riley at USC where people are like, man, they can't stop anybody. But all they have,
Starting point is 00:04:05 if they get somebody to run the defense. Well, Linker is also the head coach who could change the culture and bring in a defensive coordinator. So, yes. Like I feel bad for Lincoln Riley.
Starting point is 00:04:15 They only, they score a bunch of points. They can't stop it. No, no, no, no. Uh, the Arkansas game was troubling. It just was. We lost, he's going to probably be an All-American freshman, our tight-in. He had a, sir, dude, a couple touchdowns and 100 yards last week and first series falls on a shoulder.
Starting point is 00:04:35 Have they, breaks his collarbone? Oh, really? Yeah. They were like, could be out six to eight weeks, but I don't think he comes back at all. That sucks. Which sucks. And he is in our episode of Too Much Access with Arkansas. But that was bad.
Starting point is 00:04:48 We picked off a ball at halftime, ran it back for a touchdown. Immediately. And Kevin's like, we got it. We're going to do it. Oh, no, Kevin, don't do that. I know. Don't do that. No, no, no.
Starting point is 00:04:56 I said, great start. You can't say that either. Why? Oh, yeah, from sore losers because lunchbox is out sick. Ray Mundo is here with us again. Yay! Yeah, you don't, you kind of don't do that until the game's over. I've learned that you just don't text bones at all.
Starting point is 00:05:12 Yeah, in Arkansas. Yeah, after five minutes went by, I was like, yeah, I ain't getting a text back. Unless they win, I can get a text back. I don't want to hear that something sucks. I want to hear something's awesome. I just, I don't hear anything. After the game, oh, that sucked. Or what a great win.
Starting point is 00:05:27 That's fine. But during it, because if it goes wrong, like it did, I'm going to blame you for jinxing it. I knew those. But he doesn't believe in the jinx. So that's weird, too. I don't know. I don't believe in the jinx.
Starting point is 00:05:37 I deserve it. So, but it was tough. And now everybody's calling for our coach's head. No, come on. Eddie's got on his glove today. That's right. South Carolina Gamecox. I thought they were going to make that a better game too.
Starting point is 00:05:48 I lost that bet. I can read you my bets in a second. But let me say this about Sam Pittman at Arkansas, because now they're like, get a new coach, get a new coach. It's a weird place to be. And it's happened to me the last few times, kind of knowing the coach. Because you kind of know them and you root for them.
Starting point is 00:06:07 And I think San Patman is a good coach. I think it's going to be a difficult year just in general. We play Ole Miss next. and we're, I'll think, an 11-point dog at Ole Miss. O'Ns just beat LSU. They both scored 700 points. It was a crazy, crazy day. So I think we can win the game, but I always think that.
Starting point is 00:06:27 But I think if he doesn't win this game, then we have to play Alabama. It's a five-game losing streak. It's going to get pretty toxic, and I hate that. Did you see the TikTok of a fan looking over the shoulder of another fan, watching him text? I thought it was set up, though. Could have been.
Starting point is 00:06:47 Yeah, that's probably true. I thought it was set up where they were like, yeah, the PIP, yeah, I thought it was set up. I do not think we need to make a coaching change. I don't think we need to start over right now. I like, I still believe. Maybe not this year is going to be the year that I thought it was, but for the record, I still believe. And it was the backup quarterback too. Would you guys gotten beat by even more?
Starting point is 00:07:07 We got beat by him last year. Because he was, he beat us last year starting. His dad is Brad Johnson. He's about the best backup you could possibly have. Oh, Tosinko? Brad Johnson. And he was sitting in the stands with Jason Whitten. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:20 Why you got to bring crap up? Well, was he a lefty or was that a different game? He was a lefty. Yeah. Max Johnson, right? Yeah,
Starting point is 00:07:26 I thought I read something that they said the backup is pretty dang good. What did you think about KJ's game? I mean, he had sack seven times, seven eight times. So stupid. The crazy thing about KJ Jefferson, he was the top 20,
Starting point is 00:07:38 Heisman before the season. Our offensive line has just been terrible. So I'm moving off that because I'm done with it. Real quick, though, Cam Little. No, not real quick. Hey, Cam Little's a BA, dude. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:49 Like, really? I text him after the game, and I was like, dude, he had like 3 50 yarders. I know at least 250 plus yarders. You know my favorite part? After the second 50 yarder, his offensive lineman was getting like a scruff with somebody on the team, and he's like getting in the middle, he's grabbing him.
Starting point is 00:08:04 He's like, come on, man. Hey, he's not a big guy. But he's like, come on. Let me ask you guys, and Ray, I'd like your opinion too. Yes. I just looked up Cam Little, the kicker. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He was on our episode too, Ray.
Starting point is 00:08:19 So, but nobody's seen the episode. What are you laughing at? It's so inside. I agree. I was about to say it. They're so inside. He's the Arkansas kicker. So here's the deal. He had to Google it.
Starting point is 00:08:31 Do you think that I should put out the Arkansas too much access today? Because I can. Luke is hurt. I could put it out in honor of Luke who got hurt and broke his collarbone. I don't want to put it out after a loss. but I can.
Starting point is 00:08:45 We've been sitting on it for a while. Kind of running out of games, but it's so tough. Well, listen, we're going to win again because we're playing a, it may be three or four weeks, though. What do you think? Should I put it out,
Starting point is 00:08:56 the Arkansas went out today? Yeah. Are people just going to be so, is it going to be so toxic? Because it could get worse. Like you were saying. No, you were saying you could go on a five game three. You could.
Starting point is 00:09:08 You could. So, before you know, it would get 2024, it's like, okay, let's put it out now. Okay. And you have. have stuck to this rule of like don't put it out of the team's loss. I'm like, Bose, you can't do that. But I could because I could put Kansas State out today.
Starting point is 00:09:22 Which they were on a buy so it's okay. Yeah, they didn't lose. Which by the way, this is going to air tomorrow. So whatever we decides already up. I can put Kansas State out today. Oh, well, great. Hey, whatever you want, man. No, no, no, no. I'm saying whatever we decide here's what I'm going to do. Got it. People listening. Whatever we land on is what I did. Western Kentucky one, I believe. Yep. We have that one. I just want to put UNOV in Western Kentucky back to back. Okay. Yep. So. And Kansas is in the hopper?
Starting point is 00:09:46 Kansas State is there. It's like 85% done, but I could have it done in a couple hours. Reed would be here, but he's having a root canal. Oh. And he was like, hey man, I'm going to finish root canal. I'm right to work. I was like, no, you go home. And then he's going to finish the root canal and finish the edit too?
Starting point is 00:09:58 Yeah. That's crazy. I've also. Editing while you do. But I've hired his roommate to help him. His roommate's also video, audio video. So what do you think? Ray, our show that we do, I was like, I don't want to put it out after a loss.
Starting point is 00:10:13 but then one of the guys we feature Broca's Collarbone is out for the year. Heard that. Yeah. So what would you do if you were us? I say you wait until BAM a week. Again, that could be... That'll be if we lose to Ole Miss.
Starting point is 00:10:24 I mean, I think you may beat Old Miss. Old Miss is coming off that flying game against LSU. I haven't been very impressed with Dart and Ole Miss. Give me BAM a week. You guys release it. Okay. I mean, it's not a bad little idea. So you go hold it a week.
Starting point is 00:10:39 I say you put it out there. Because why again? Because you got Ole Miss and sorry, Ray. I know you said that, but they just put up 60 on LSU. And then you got Bama, right? So, like I said, it could get uglier before it gets better. Eddie? Put it out.
Starting point is 00:10:52 Put it out. I think it's a great episode. And I want people to see it. So I'm like, put it out right now. That's my vote. Okay. And Cam Little had a great game. Mike.
Starting point is 00:11:02 And Cam Little's a badass. And Mike's the producer of the executive producer of that show. I'm also with Eddie. I think you put it out right now. Okay. Then I'll put it up today. Ray, I felt that, though. I like where your mind was.
Starting point is 00:11:13 Hey, is you're running back hurt? Yeah, he missed the first rocket. Yeah, he missed two of the last three games. Ray's been on its phone. I was just trying to figure out why this team isn't doing as good as they were supposed to do. I actually thought they're going to be pretty good this year. Yeah, Rocket Sanders got hurt in the first game, missed two games. I love KJ. Jefferson.
Starting point is 00:11:30 Me too. And he could come back next year, but I don't know that he will. Oh, man. But he, Rocket Sanders, Heisman guy early, but hurt, whatever. And I feel like he was 100% yesterday. Moving off the Arkansas game. Okay. But I'll put it out today.
Starting point is 00:11:43 I got a few things I'd like to Are you gonna do betting? My betting stats? Oh yeah Well, I'd like to say this Because Kevin came in and was like Yo, bro, you're all right? Yeah, dude, it's concerning.
Starting point is 00:11:55 I'm like, Eddie, you need to look out for your boy over here. Well, it's Monday. Monday is the big recovery day is usually when people are like that. Hey, hey, you want Ray on your side bones? You want Ray on your side? This weekend I made a total of 38 bets. Okay, but this is what's happening.
Starting point is 00:12:11 I'm doing end games. Is that Saturday and Sunday? or is at Friday, too? Monday. No, it's Monday. Yeah, it's Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. It's four days. He's doing like, he's doing nine a day pretty much.
Starting point is 00:12:22 Hey, sounds like a lot of chasing. No. A lot of live chasing. A lot of live, like, I'm in a good spot. I'm going to keep running too. I do both. Yeah. So if I'm in a good place, I'm like, oh, I can keep,
Starting point is 00:12:32 let me just keep hitting this because I like where the spread's going. But that being said, that's interesting. You'll bet it and then bet the same game again because you just like it. Of course. Because if the odds have gotten. better from when I originally was on it, feel good about it. I jump on it. You've never done that, Ray? I mean, no, not now.
Starting point is 00:12:50 Not that I do $30 a weekend. Okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You're like me. I would say that most 70% 60% of my bets are in-game. Yes. Almost half. Yes. So it's not that I'm just making a bunch of bets and sitting and watching. There is something to an
Starting point is 00:13:04 in-game bet where you see the flow of the game. I mean, you turn on that Cowboys Patriots game. You know they're about to get smacked right in the face. Oh, yeah. The Titans game? I mean, the Bengals didn't have a chance in that game crazy so i yeah kenry was running through people it's amazing like crazy yeah okay so that pass is great here we go uh and i lost most on money on the arkansas game if i'm gonna be honest see that's the thing you gotta stay away from your team i
Starting point is 00:13:27 don't though oh yeah don't better your team no i always do okay and i i and the reason i lost i would say the big loss was arkansas right because i just kept yeah there was like there was like boom boom boom boom boom i would go 50 100 yeah i like spread spreads better spreads better yeah yeah because they got points they did and then they were four there it's 14 and a half and I needed them to stop on the goal. It was stupid. I hated all of it. But here we go. NCAA bets, total bets, 29.
Starting point is 00:13:50 A bet on NCAA football, $3,395. Winnings. Winnings meaning, not that I won, total money back. 2,843. That's a loss. Come on NFL. Come on NFL. For a total of, I think I'm like negative.
Starting point is 00:14:13 500 or something? 552. And NCAA for the year? No, that was just this weekend. Stupid. What am I for the year, NCAA? That I would have to check. Okay.
Starting point is 00:14:26 In NFL, I only had nine bets. I was in Arkansas, so I couldn't bet over there. Oh, yeah, yeah. Did they start at 838? I did bet the Jacksonville minus 30 game and hit it. So. I did first touchdown score. I was like, well, that was stupid.
Starting point is 00:14:40 Now I just got to watch this stupid game in London with no bet on it. Did you watch the Toy Story version? I did graphics absolutely terrible if you play PlayStation. Yeah, it's like Tecmoble. I liked it, though. I thought it was a glitch. So the guys would still stand up. It was so stupid.
Starting point is 00:14:57 Oh, really? It wouldn't tack. I mean, sometimes. Yeah, they tackled. Why are you so mad at the animation? It was live. I'm pissed off at ESPN Plus because I canceled it after that. Because it kept glitching.
Starting point is 00:15:08 I would go to it and it would say, game will resume. And I'm like, what? The game's on right now. I got a first touchdown score. No, sometimes they're on. They're on commercial. I want to see commercials too. I want to see it all.
Starting point is 00:15:18 All right. I thought it was pretty cool because it was so instant. Totally. It was immediate. It was instantaneous with what was happening. NFL bets. Again, I was in Arkansas. I can't bet in Arkansas.
Starting point is 00:15:28 So I made up a few before I left. So I didn't do a lot of end games, which is what I like to do. So here you go. NFL bets nine, wagered 625, winning 664. Okay. You mean a little bit.
Starting point is 00:15:41 I've hit every week on NFL, which is crazy. I don't expect to. Um, so total on the year, bets 103, wager $12,494. I'm at negative $68 for the year. The Arkansas game kicked me right in the balls. I mean, what am I overall in college?
Starting point is 00:16:02 I get it. It's going to take some time. Okay, don't worry about it. For as much as you bet, though, it's, I'll take that. Except for the Arkansas kicking the balls. And I was just, I mean, I've been doing pretty good. I heard it. This is when your team wins and you bet against them.
Starting point is 00:16:13 You're like, that's why you don't bet. I never bet against my team. I know I did that with Vols in South Carolina, and it just looked like crap, and I went to bed, and Bayser goes, did you bet against the Vols last night? I was like, yeah. I never bet it. Tell your team wins, and then you still feel like that. Yeah, that's like you lose regardless. So it happened to me again.
Starting point is 00:16:35 12 game parlay. I hit all them except one. Get 11. It's important to tell us, where was it at in it? That's what I asked, too. It was NFL, and the game was a noon game. Pittsburgh Houston. How many into the parlay, though?
Starting point is 00:16:48 How many have you had you hit in a row? Well, probably at that point, I think three games had already hit and that one lost. So you lost four? Were they offering you a cash out? No, not because it was all the noon games. Got it. So, no, no cash out. Sorry, buddy. But dude, you know what that means, though?
Starting point is 00:17:02 It's still a loss. That's what that means. Yeah. That's not the way I was looking at it. It means you lost. It was $1 to win like, I think it was mostly winners, money lines. So it was like $700. That's awesome.
Starting point is 00:17:13 But this means, guys, this is two weeks in a row. This means that I am bound to hit it. That's not what it means, Eddie. It has nothing to do with the relationship of you and versus the next week. Are you sure? I'm positive. I've gotten two weeks in a row where I'm one away from winning the big dog. I mean, 12 teams, dude, you're never going to hit that.
Starting point is 00:17:28 I was one away. It was Houston and Pittsburgh. Drop it into the sixes and sevens and you'll be cleaning up. Yeah. No, you won't. That doesn't work like that either. And he's going to say, I almost hit seven. I got six.
Starting point is 00:17:39 I'm going to roll through some games. And then if you watched it and you have to, something you want to say about it, let me know. Okay, I'll do college first. Georgia and Auburn. I did watch a lot of this game, and Auburn almost won this freaking game. Yeah. And if it weren't for a touchdown from Brock Bowers late, it had gone to overtime.
Starting point is 00:17:56 He's so good. I lost some money on that game because I had Georgia in the line. He's their target. Yeah. Like, he is the dude there. Auburn looked good. Georgia didn't look great. I don't know which one.
Starting point is 00:18:08 Yeah. Yeah, there's always that. It's like when Notre Dame and Ohio State play. Are they great or they middle? but I thought it was a really good showing for Auburn. Yeah. It's hard to take a loss and be like, hey, nice. I thought that's pretty good for Hugh Freeze. Michigan and Nebraska, I watched like five minutes of it.
Starting point is 00:18:23 Ray, you're in Michigan. I mean, it was like, okay, let me see your balls. Boom, kick you in them. Goodbye. Out. Yeah, I looked at it, and it was a blowout the whole game, and I was like, why did I not freaking bet that? I believe it was two touchdowns. It's just stupid that I didn't bet that one.
Starting point is 00:18:35 45 to 7. They killed them. Kansas, lost to Texas. 40 to 14. It was in Austin. the game was closer for longer, or at least it was close-ish. Close at half, 13-7. Yeah, for longer than I thought it was going to be.
Starting point is 00:18:49 And I considered jumping on it, but I didn't. I just can't. Well, found out before the game, the quarterback died. Yeah, what happened? They just said, oh, during warm-ups, he's not playing. Awesome. Oh, he didn't really die. No, he didn't play.
Starting point is 00:19:01 I was about to say, guys, I don't know anything about somebody dying. What on the room? Hey, and Texas has another good running back, man. But listen to this, though, about Texas. God. They are, what, four and four or five? Five and a no. I think they've played against four backup quarterbacks.
Starting point is 00:19:15 Oh, I didn't realize. Except for Alabama, I think they've played all backup quarterbacks. Well, Alabama doesn't know who their quarterback is, so. Iowa State. No, I don't know they played out of state. Oklahoma played at play at play at a backup quarterback except for that one. I know at least three of them have been. Not like started the whole game, but at some point they got put in.
Starting point is 00:19:32 Yeah, or the whole game. Yeah, because in Baylor they played two different quarterbacks. Okay, so you're right on that, probably a backup type thing. That Baylor, UCF game. Oh my gosh, I lost on that one too. Dude, it was the craziest comeback in the history. Unbelievable. Crazest comeback ever.
Starting point is 00:19:45 Penn State, Northwestern, watched none of that. Don't know. Anybody care? Nope. It was close. At halftime, too, I think it was 13 or 10-10 or something. Oh, I saw Northwest was even up. Early, or like, tied.
Starting point is 00:19:56 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I didn't watch any of it. Washington beats Arizona. It was a lot closer than I thought it would be. I didn't watch any of it, though. Just highlights. I don't count highlights. Didn't watch it.
Starting point is 00:20:05 I watched a lot of the USC Colorado game. That was great. Oh, great game. And I bet on Colorado to come. cover and I thought it was dead money about halftime. But Colorado, man, they just kept firing. But they kept it right at the 21 for you. Oh, forever. I was like, oh, we're close, we're close.
Starting point is 00:20:23 USC can't stop anybody. Nope. They can score, but that's what's going to keep them for in the national championship. Yeah. Is they can't stop anybody. But it's the same thing Lincoln Riley did at Oklahoma. Can't stop anybody. Yep.
Starting point is 00:20:35 So score 48, that's okay, and just hope you out. Yeah. When they play Oregon, Washington. It's 100 to 100 Yeah I thought that Shudor Sanders looked really good
Starting point is 00:20:45 For the first time I watched him and thought Oh some of these people are right He is really really good He completes a lot of his passes I remember he was like 10th grade Like I met him with Dion
Starting point is 00:20:53 Really? Dang Yeah Crazy Now you see him as a grown man Yeah That's weird Crazy
Starting point is 00:20:59 Yeah it's weird to say That's really weird Yeah Oregon crushed Stanford Don't know I didn't watch any of it Uh uh That was close to
Starting point is 00:21:07 At the beginning Notre Dame Duke was a good game Oh great game That was another one with Ohio State and Notre Dame kind of thing. I was like, I can't tell. Well, Duke's not a bad football team. And then just playing in Duke, it just makes it a lot tougher. It's also Duke football, and they have been better,
Starting point is 00:21:23 but they're still not somebody that you have the understanding. They're consistently going to be good. Yeah. So I agree. I don't think Notre Dame is that good. Yeah, I don't know if their defense is that good, and their offense isn't that good. And Duke Corbite got hurt into the game. Oh, the last drive.
Starting point is 00:21:39 Like the last, yeah. I thought Duke was going to win it. That sucked. I watched Oregon State in Utah, and I just felt terrible because, listen, I was wrong on this. I bet this one wrong. Utah could do nothing offensively. They had a third quarterback in at the end of the game. He couldn't throw it.
Starting point is 00:21:53 It was just bad. Utah State looked good. And then, I mean, without Cam Rising, I don't know what they're. When is Cam Rising coming back? Make a call, Ray. I mean, that team is amazing. Remember them against USC? That quarterback is really good.
Starting point is 00:22:07 They've sucked all year because he hasn't. played. Their quarterback situation was so bad at the end of the Utah. Even the announcers were like, let's just hope this game in soon. Yeah. That game was awful. They said that. Yeah, they felt bad for them. Wow. Yeah. NFL wise, I think I watch most of these. And it's awesome that Sunday ticket is on
Starting point is 00:22:25 YouTube. Amazing. It's the greatest thing ever. It's, yeah, it's game changer. 49ers and Cardinals. The game was closer. The game was closer than it should have been. Yeah. And until the end, it really wasn't over, but the Cardinals are fighting. week and I hate it. They need to quit.
Starting point is 00:22:41 You sound like their owners. Yeah. I watched some expert and he said of all the NFL teams, the Cardinals play the hardest. Whatever that means, take that with you and you bet them. But they didn't cover. McCaffrey scored four times. Did Debo leave the game early? Because he had almost no stats
Starting point is 00:22:57 and I didn't see him in the game a lot and he was hurt coming into the game, but he did play. So I was flipping around. I thought the game would be over so I watched like 60% of it. I mean, Debo did nothing. He had to have been hurt. No catches in three runs. I'm watching Ray
Starting point is 00:23:12 Recap Sunday on Monday is the best. He was looking at his phone. He was quick. He didn't watch anything. He's like, what happened? This is crazy. On his phone today. He was questionable going into the game.
Starting point is 00:23:27 So he was hurt going in, but did play. But there you go. He only had three rushes. Jaguars beat the Falcons, which the Jags had it early. They had it so much early. They went for a fourth down. just like dicking around on the first half
Starting point is 00:23:40 and didn't get it and it allowed the Falcons to score and it got a little itchy for a second but then the Jags just pulled it out but the Jags stay in London now Buffalo comes out there Yeah so they have two weeks in London That's crazy
Starting point is 00:23:52 They play in London or Germany? Europe I don't know if it's London again But it's Europe I know I think it was London I thought it was but I'm not gonna fight for that Maybe it is yeah But I mean Trevor Lawrence played fine
Starting point is 00:24:04 Had a couple hundred yards, a couple touchdowns I would love for the Jags to win some games no thank you did you see Ritter that Mac Hollins Yeah Hollins didn't dapp him
Starting point is 00:24:14 Yeah And he like stood up behind his face Yeah That's kind of weird Yeah that was weird The bills and dolphins The bills put 48 on the dolphins
Starting point is 00:24:21 The Bucons Steph on Diggs had a day I mean Josh Allen Just looked crazy good And you know That's okay The Dolphins That's fine
Starting point is 00:24:31 Right Yeah It doesn't mean anything No It really doesn't It means Buffalo's good again Yeah
Starting point is 00:24:38 I mean, Buffalo's good again. Yeah, until like three weeks and we say, what's going on with Josh Allen again. Yeah. I mean, it's just the NFL. Yeah. The game that was the craziest to me, speaking about just NFL, was the freaking Broncos and Bears. I know. The Bears are playing like 287 or whatever it was.
Starting point is 00:24:52 I flipped over, went to a different game. 2014. 2021. 2028. Field goal 30. And Fields played his brains out. Did you see the fourth down? I did.
Starting point is 00:25:04 The fourth and one. A shotgun. On like the 18 or something like that. Arkansas did that crap too from shotgun, trying to get a one yard one they couldn't get it on the fourth and one. Because they were, okay, let's get in punt formation
Starting point is 00:25:15 and go for it with one yard to go. Go back 10 yards to get one. Oh my God. Is that what you're talking about? No, no. No, it was like three or four minutes left and then they called time out. They tried to get them to jump off sides.
Starting point is 00:25:27 Called time out, thought they're going to kick a field goal, went for it, didn't get it. But didn't they go for it from shotgun? Broncos got it. I can't, yeah, it might have been because I think it was a zone read now that you say that, actually. Anyway, that game was stupid.
Starting point is 00:25:37 I thought the Bears Arkansas are the Bears Both But Arkansas more But I bet the bears And took the points I thought the Bears would play better You bet the toilet bowl
Starting point is 00:25:45 I did Was it on the quad There was one quad To me I didn't watch quad I fingered it Really? Interesting I fingered it up
Starting point is 00:25:53 I love the quad I like finger out Especially when like You're playing fantasy And three of your Players are in one quad And like this is fantastic Hey I love the quad
Starting point is 00:26:01 But will you admit though I mean You can't watch four games at once I do If I watch the quad I must have watched Red Zone Channel. Let me ask you that. Like, what do you listen to when you're watching the quad?
Starting point is 00:26:12 Whichever game my money's on, where the most impact that could happen right then? Interesting. It peaks your interest. Yeah, I always pick a quad with Red Zone, and I leave the audio in Red Zone and then watch kind of the other games. If I pull the quad up, I'm going to finger one on pretty soon. I'm just going to stick with that one.
Starting point is 00:26:29 Or you got the quad up, and my wife's like, you want to play cards? I'm like, yeah, I'll play cards. Well, I'm not even watching the Quad. So I didn't even watch the Quad, and I'm paying for the Quad. Yeah. But yeah, I'll play cards. It's no problem. Ravens whooped up on the Browns,
Starting point is 00:26:42 but Sean Watson didn't play. Yeah. Last minute decision. That line moved four points when they announced that. I thought it would move a little more than that, too. I thought it would be a touchdown move, but it's a bad situation. Ravens whooped them, they needed the win.
Starting point is 00:26:55 Titans crushed the Bengals. Bengals look terrible, but is Joe Burrow just hurt? He's not himself, is he? I mean, he just doesn't look right. Is he way rich or still hurt? You know, he did get, I don't believe in the whole you make a bunch of money you were You don't? No.
Starting point is 00:27:09 Interesting. He did hurt his calf again, the same one he hurt, and he pulled up in camp. So I would assume something's up. Yeah. Just no sustained drives, dude. It was like, they played gross football for having two star receivers. Did you watch the whole thing? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:25 And then the Titans' Devens got after him, right? Dude, the Titans, first of all, just had sustained drives. Derek Henry did whatever he wanted to. Wild. Derek Henry had some highlights of him just running through. guys bouncing, guys just bouncing off of them, like Derek Henry of old. How do we feel about Tannenhill? I only watched part of that game because it got out of hand.
Starting point is 00:27:44 Do you feel like Tannenhill is? Well, you're always going to get an interception with him. Is he improving? Yeah, yeah, I would say. I mean. Or is he already at a ceiling and everybody else just has to. Well, let's see. How much do we trust our quarterback?
Starting point is 00:27:55 We gave it to Derek Henry and said, hey, throw the ball wildcat into the end zone. Here you do this. Why have a quarterback? The Rams and the Colts, that game was pretty wild. Yeah, over time. There's another toilet ball game. Colts should have won the game. Richardson played good.
Starting point is 00:28:11 Yeah. He's a stud. He doesn't really have the weapons. And I don't know. The Rams still score a bunch of points. Nobody expected them to win. Nuka. Or Pukua.
Starting point is 00:28:23 Nukuoka. Kuka, Nukua. The overtime touchdown. Yeah, that was awesome. Yeah. And then the Buccaneers won again. They beat the Saints. Look at that.
Starting point is 00:28:31 Your boy, Baker. They're doing it. It's the Saints first loss, I believe, right? No, I think they're two and two. Are they two and two? Yeah. Bucks are three and one. Let's go.
Starting point is 00:28:39 I told you guys. Because why? Why did you tell us? I'm a big Baker guy. He's a big Baker fan. Big Baker guy. I believe in him. I believe anything called Baker.
Starting point is 00:28:48 I mean, he does the throw the ball up and Mike Evans just catches it. No, no, no, not yesterday. Mike Evans had three catches for 40 yards. He left. Absolutely. Oh, he got hurt? Yeah, he got hurt.
Starting point is 00:28:59 That explains it. Yeah, that's why there's no fight between him and, uh, do you have a lot of fancy team? Yeah, I made a blockbuster trade, got Mike, Mike Evans and traded away DeAndre Swift, DeAndre Swift. And it'll be fine because it was also the puka, not puka, Tutu. Mm-hmm. Other receiver.
Starting point is 00:29:18 Tutu at well. Tutu was in on the trade. He sucked and Tutu's not going to do anymore once Cooper's back. I don't think Cooper and Cooper and Tukkah. It's all like, you can have Puka, Tutu, and then Cooper. But I don't know, even if Cooper comes back. And it's not going to be soon. I believe it's going to be two or three.
Starting point is 00:29:36 weeks. That stuff, the hamstring stuff is not. You know they're going to ease it. They have to. Well, they said on the screen, it said, he gets to practice and that opens up the three week window. What? Oh, that's not what they said.
Starting point is 00:29:47 That's what it said on the bottom line. That's crazy. They didn't promise that. Eagles won barely. Yep. Oh, man. What a game. Still undefeated, them in the 49ers.
Starting point is 00:29:55 What a game. I was pulling for the commanders. Oh, I was too. For sure. Hey, I, listen, say what you want. I think the commanders have a good quarterback. Yeah, dude. How was awesome.
Starting point is 00:30:06 I think he was looking pretty solid. Isn't he similar, though, to who they had in the last couple of years? Like the backup guy that just plays his butt off. Heineke. Yeah. Heineke's a little more of a gun slinger as in no regard to chunk Brett. But I agree. I do see a similarity there.
Starting point is 00:30:28 I don't know. You just want to play for him. Vikings Panthers. Nobody cares. Boring game. Texans whoop the Steelers. I mean, C.J. D.G.
Starting point is 00:30:35 D. That was pretty freaking good. I mean, he's going to win rookie of the year over Bajon. God dang. They're neck and neck right now. Chargers beat the Raiders. They almost blew it at the end, which was stupid, and the Cowboys beat the Patriots.
Starting point is 00:30:45 So there you go. That's kind of the recap of the week. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care which I'm saying. Yep, that's me. Cliver Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions,

Nick Shook joins me night two Friday and then Sunday to recap everything that went down over the three days in Pittsburgh. We'll tell you who won the draft and which players were my favorite picks. Listen to NFL Daily with Greg Rosenthal on the free IHeart Radio app. Open the app, search NFL Daily, and listen now. There's two golden rules that any man should live by.
Starting point is 00:32:32 Rule one, never mess with a country girl. You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes. And Rule 2, never mess with her friends either. We always say that trust your girlfriends. I'm Anna Sinfield, and in this new season of the girlfriends, Oh my God, this is the same man. A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist. I felt like I got hit by a truck.
Starting point is 00:32:58 I thought, how could this happen to me? The cops didn't seem to care. So they take matters into their own hands. I said, oh, hell no. I vowed I will be his last target. He's going to get what he deserves. Listen to the girlfriends. Trust me, babe.
Starting point is 00:33:16 On the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Let's go now and do the Tittle Taddle. Do you think LSU fans are upset with Brian Kelly already after two losses? I think they thought they were going to win the National Championship, but I think they thought that every year, period in the history of the world. They ran off Ed Ogeron after he won a championship. no, it's too early.
Starting point is 00:33:56 I think if they lose a third game, they start to get irritated more. This is his second year. If they go to a big bowl game, that's a win. Would it have been extra sugar on top, sprinkles if they go to the playoff? Yes.
Starting point is 00:34:12 Finish top 10, that's a win for LSU this year. If you were to win the championship, that's awesome. Maybe next year your expectations are a little higher. But this is only the second year. It's only second. But they are LSU fans have unrealistic expectations
Starting point is 00:34:25 because they've been allowed to have them. Alabama fans have have unrealistic expectations because they've been allowed to have them. They've been conditioned to go, we win all the time. So you just feel like
Starting point is 00:34:36 you're supposed to win all the time, even though you're not supposed to win all the time, even if you win all the time. So I get it. And LSU's going to play in Missouri. They'll wop Missouri. I know Missouri is undefeated. Missouri hasn't played anybody.
Starting point is 00:34:46 I mean, they beat Kansas State on the field goal at the end. That's the only game, really, that I feel like they've played halfway decent. Auburn, I mean, Auburn's fine.
Starting point is 00:34:57 They played Georgia, but then they haven't really beat anybody. But they didn't beat Georgia, but they did play them good. Do you get moral credit for that? And then they're going to play Army. They'll run them out. But the SEC's weird, man. If they were to lose one of the two games, I'm not even saying they're – they should win both of those games.
Starting point is 00:35:13 But if they were to lose one of the two, I wouldn't be that surprise. But I'm going to say LSU fans chill out. You lose two games the whole year. That's a really good year. I explain the bowl goal for me. Like, so if you don't go to the national championship, your goal is to just make a bowl game. Not a ball game because anybody that's 500 or better or sometimes worse if there aren't enough teams. Right.
Starting point is 00:35:33 Makes a bowl. But there are New Year's Day bowls and beyond. And that's kind of the big bowls. Got it. Not the Bahama Bowl. No. You don't want to play December 26th. The mayor.
Starting point is 00:35:43 That's what I'm thinking. You want to play New Year's Day or beyond. Got it. And some of those more prestigious bowls. So, yeah. Because I've heard coaches say that. And I'm like, but coach, like, there are a lot of bowls. The Toilet Flesh Bowl?
Starting point is 00:35:55 Well, they're not saying any... Yeah. I hear you. But even we talked to Sam Pittman, who's the Arkansas coach, which we'll play a little later on, he was like, Florida Bowl is our goal.
Starting point is 00:36:06 That's the goal. And that's a New Year's Bowl. Yeah. It's not the National Championship Bowl. But he said, I think if... No, I think his answer was, it's not a successful season unless we're in that. That wasn't the goal,
Starting point is 00:36:16 but it's like, that's where we should be. Got it. So yeah, it's a tier there of bowls. All right, next question. All right, what do you think is going to happen first? The Kelsey and T. Swift breakup or an NFL coach gets fired. Maybe the greatest question in the history of 25 whistles.
Starting point is 00:36:29 Yeah, I agree. So let's talk about Travis Kelsey and Taylor Swift. I feel like if they just stop dating right now, they both look pretty dumb because they're both kind of allowing it all to happen. They're not dating. But they're both in on whatever this is. If they are or even if it's straight, they're both in on it.
Starting point is 00:36:45 They're on the script. And they're talking about it and she's showing up to games. So I feel like if they just came out in a week and said, we're not dating anymore, that'd be a bit quick. Even if they weren't dating anymore, you still give it some time to simmer down. So I'm going to say, man, Iber Fluss or McDaniels, both could go any moment. The Bears losing that game was wild. Justin Fields finally plays the game of his life, got like 280 yards at the half.
Starting point is 00:37:12 And they lose, they lose. So, I mean, how crazy would it be if the Bears got the first and second picks next year? And they got Caleb Williams, and Lincoln Riley comes and coaches the Bears. Oh, wow, wow, wow. Marvin Harrison. Yeah, obviously they picked Harrison too. Yeah. But I'm going to go Iber Fluss and McDaniels.
Starting point is 00:37:32 I don't know if the stupid charges almost blew that game. Staley's, he won, so you went. You went to game in the NFL, good for you. You don't really look at it, but he's just done so many dumb things. But I'm going to go, Iber Fluse or McDaniels probably gets fired before they break up. Really? I think so. And it's just fun for me to say.
Starting point is 00:37:50 No, I see what you're saying now. After thinking about it, there's too much money involved in the Kelle's. Kelsey Taylor thing. So yeah, I'd say that lasts longer than the coaches. I just think that lasts another three to four weeks. And I don't think both the coaches last three to four weeks. I mean, the NFL paid how much money for the Travis Kelsey Taylor Swift thing? I don't know they paid anything.
Starting point is 00:38:09 They made a lot. Yes. All right, what else? All right, which Ricky performance has surprising more. The success of C.J. Stroud and Anthony Richardson were struggles of Bryce Young. Bryce Young was going to struggle. He doesn't have an offensive line. He has no weapons.
Starting point is 00:38:23 And he's little. Bryce Young doesn't have a number one receiver. He doesn't have a number one receiver. He doesn't have me to protect him. So I'm not that surprised. It is not a good team. That should happen. The only reason it's amplified is because he just starts killing it.
Starting point is 00:38:38 He's playing on a Houston team. Yeah, what are they doing? They do have a running back. Damian Pierce is really good. Their offensive line is pretty okay. It's definitely better than the Panthers' offensive line. Anthony Richardson is just dynamic as crap it's not even they've won a bunch of games
Starting point is 00:38:57 what are the Colts two and two so you know it's not and he missed one game one and a half games basically what are the Texans two and two crazy Texans were two and two unbelievable I'm still gonna say the success of CJ Stroud to me is the most
Starting point is 00:39:13 surprising just because I believed every supposed expert that was like he's an Ohio State pocket quarterback he looks awesome and when I really don't know I just listen to people that I trust. And all the people that I trust told me C.J. Strow was going to be a bum. And that Bryce Young was, I still believe in Bryce Young.
Starting point is 00:39:31 I do. And I don't think the height things much of a factor. We have other quarterbacks that were named Russell. Name Drew. I get that. But you got to have a good O line or else that's not going to order. Yeah, it all dies. So I'm going to go C.J. Stroud, to me, is the most surprising of all of it.
Starting point is 00:39:48 Okay. Last one here at 1 and 3 and the offense really struggling. Do you think the Bengals regret? bringing back Joe Burrow to start the season? Probably now, I think if you're able to go back and do hindsight, maybe you let him get fully healthy because he probably wasn't 100%. He's probably healthy enough that you want to start him
Starting point is 00:40:07 if it's a playoff game or a game that really mattered. But I think now because, oh, it's been bad for the Bengals. And it's not like he's gotten any better because he's been playing. You know, you get your time during the week, but then it's right back, you're vulnerable again. So probably, if you're going to lose guys, games, which they have, you'd rather lose them
Starting point is 00:40:25 with your quarterback getting healthier than having them play. So hindsight, yes. But I'm not gonna hate him. I ought to start at him too. I hear a lot of announcers saying like, oh, the calf injury is one thing, but there's gotta be something else going on. Like, what could possibly be going on more than that? Like, personally, what are they insinuating? He got engaged, right?
Starting point is 00:40:42 I think so. That was the big rumor too. The rumor. It's still like a rumor. And also, but the thing, he made all, he signed a contract for all the money. So there's a lot. I don't know what they're insinuating. Just feel like, what are you talking about? Yeah, I don't think that that's Everyone's like, you get paid All of a sudden, you don't want to play.
Starting point is 00:40:58 That's not for a real. I don't know. No, that's got eye the tiger. He's hurt. The Bengals, I think, will be fine. They'll end up going to the Bahama Bowl, Eddie, like you said. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And I'll watch it. And I'll bet on it.
Starting point is 00:41:09 You'll be like, let's go. All right, that's tittle tittle. All right, thank you, 25 whistles presented by Draft King's Sportsbook, an official sports betting partner of the NFL. Download the draft king's app. Use the code Bobby Sports. Get in on the action.
Starting point is 00:41:29 Another part of the last. Loss. I don't even want to go over the loss last week, but the Utah game, you know, wasn't my best work. I thought they'd score
Starting point is 00:41:37 a little more than that. They'd be a little better than that. But it's not fair. I believe probably when you said the line, we thought the quarterback was playing and they didn't play. I thought it would at least be open because he was going through warm-ups
Starting point is 00:41:47 last week. So whatever, we'll get him this week. If you want to take the 25 whistles parlay, check out Draf King Sportsbook. New users use the code Bobby Sports when you download the app. 21 and up in most eligible states,

Starting point is 00:44:34 Trust me, babe. On the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. I'm going to play this interview with Eddie and I and coach Sam Pittman of the Arkansas Razorbacks. It's not a great time right now to be a Razorbike fan, but there have been much worse times. And there's adversity.
Starting point is 00:44:58 And you just look adversity in the face, spit in it, and you win the next ball game. Oh, yeah. But it's a little toxic right now. line. Yeah, yeah. We should it be BYU. That the game was set up for us to win. We should be at LSU. We had first and goal in the one and somebody jumped off. We, you know, false start. It's been a bad sitch, I'll be honest with you. But I'm a big Pittman guy. Love them.
Starting point is 00:45:23 I think we're going to turn this thing around. We got four, I think, top 75 recruits coming in. We, I play on the team. Like four of the top 75 recruits. You're one of them, right? Yes, you do. So that being said, I am still a big believer. I love Coach Pittman. And here he is. This is us with Coach Sam Pittman. Coach, how are you? I'm doing good, man. It's good to see you. Good to see you, too.
Starting point is 00:45:41 It's my setup question before I go right to it. How's it going? So is it true? We talk to you here now. It's about to be week two. Second non-conference game in a row. Yeah. Is there like a game A is we showed this much of our playbook.
Starting point is 00:45:59 And if we're good with it, then we can go to the, is there like a limit that you kind of have to hit before you graduate to the next level early in the season? Not really this year. I mean, because Dan's new and T. Wheels knew. We basically just went into game planning like we normally would, running plays that we felt like would have success, ones that we could do, you know, more importantly than even the success of them that we could do correct.
Starting point is 00:46:28 Didn't have a lot of mistakes and things. So, no, I mean, you're obviously going to put a few more plays in as the season progresses, you obviously want to save something a little bit for the SEC games. But we have to win as we continue to grow and get better. So not a whole lot of holding back. Do you have one crazy trick play that you've always wanted to do, but it's never been the exact right moment for it? But you're just like, if it's ever presented perfectly,
Starting point is 00:46:54 we're going to run the backwards under scoot volley. There's been many games that you're going, just give us it. And then you might even call it and the look's not there. and then everybody's bummed out, you know. And, but, yeah, I mean, I don't know if we've ever ran one, you know, we've run double passes and things of that nature, but they better work, man. If they don't work, you catch so much heck, you know, if they don't work. But it's all about timing, too, you know, in those things.
Starting point is 00:47:23 And we've tried a few in the last three years and just didn't quite work like we wanted them to. How much freedom does a kicker or a punter have, either on kickoff or they're punting, to actually make that decision. If they see there's not a guy guarding the gun, like how can they actually call, hey, I'm going to snap it, I'm going to throw it. No. Now, now we will have fake punts on the front end of it and then we'll call it off or we'll have onside kicks or, you know, something in the middle
Starting point is 00:47:57 or something like that that we'll call it off. But no, they, they're, I mean, they're both pretty good athletes. but we haven't we haven't got to there yet but what if one let's say cam calls one and it works and it right and it works and you you it wasn't call it nobody knew it but he's like all right i feel it he calls it on the line and it works are you upset at him if it works yes but but in the media we'll probably take credit for it like yeah it was a great call and and scott made it no or i made it you know but now uh all if it worked, you know, and it helped us win, you know, we'd forgive him.
Starting point is 00:48:38 We'd still have a little talk. Absolutely. Coach, locker room speeches. Do you go in there, like, knowing what you're going to say or it's just top of the dome? Like, how do you do that? Because I feel like the first one, pregame, you kind of have the week to think about what you're going to tell your boys. But do you kind of just go on the fly? Before the game, it's usually something that you've tried to put in their heads all week.
Starting point is 00:49:03 but I go, I have like BBC or SAT or whatever it may be in that order of how I'm going to say my three things that I'm going to say. And I usually get that locked in whenever we get through with the hog walk. We get through the hog walk and I go, okay, how do I want to? I kind of know what I want to say, but then I put it in order and then just the S stands for whatever. and, you know, last week started for playing smart, you know, first game and all those type things. So I do have something going on there, the motion you have to put in. So it's hard a lot of times. When I first got here, it was just whatever I'm going to say, you know.
Starting point is 00:49:48 But that's more of a motivational deal at that. And then at half, it's kind of like, all right, we're talking right now. Here's what we have to do. You know, don't panic. The world's not coming to an end. Or we're way ahead. Let's go out and play. You're playing against yourself, not necessarily the scoreboard, things of that nature.
Starting point is 00:50:09 Do you ever feel, though, that maybe you've accidentally repeated yourself if you're like doing a motivation? Because you can only use one every four years, like safely, maybe five, COVID-6. You know, you only use that one motivational nugget specifically? You know, when I was at Northern Illinois, Joe Novak did the. greatest thing I'd ever seen in pregame. And he had these two police officers standing over there, and he asked them, I forget the school we were playing, the university we were playing, and he said, hey, there's all their fans in here, is the team in here? He's asking his police officer. And he brought out the biggest chain. And he goes, go lock the gates. We're going to lock them in here.
Starting point is 00:50:50 We'll let them out when we're through with them. And I thought that was the greatest thing ever. Well, two years ago, we're playing Texas. And I, I just kept talking to the team. We're going to lock the gates on it. We're going to get them in here. We're going to lock them in here. We'll let them out when we get done. I just kept talking about it.
Starting point is 00:51:06 Thursday I talked about, hey, we're going to lock them in here, you know. Well, so I called Joe. And I said, Coach, you don't mind if I use this lock the gate deal, do you? And he said, oh, no, I stole it from Bill Mallory when we coached together in Indiana. And so I'm getting ready to hang up. And he goes, but Sam, it's undefeated. So if you're going to use it, you better win. I'll never forget that.
Starting point is 00:51:31 And I'm like, oh, my Lord. And I thought, well, we got a good chance to win. So we used it. The team went off, and it was a lot of fun. And we won. In that game, I waited in traffic. My wife is here, too. We heard in traffic for three hours.
Starting point is 00:51:43 Yeah. Because to me, I hate Texas. And I hate them because they're legit. Yeah. And when you grow up in Arkansas, they're the big brother. Yeah. And, you know, I caught the back end of the Southwest Conference days, but I hate Texas, respectfully. So when they came to town
Starting point is 00:51:59 And I lived in Austin for 12 years So when they came to town I mean I was foaming at the mouth for that And so you wouldn't let me in the game So I set up in the suite And we could have left because it's kind of hard To get out of here Yeah
Starting point is 00:52:12 And I was like no I want to stay We'll get everybody stormed the field I was freaking loving it And then we're like okay let's get out here We sat in traffic for three hours They almost Wouldn't let us flex We flew home privately
Starting point is 00:52:24 And so they almost They almost shut the plane down because it took us three hours to get there. They're like, we can't take you home. Oh, really? It's a real sad story. Guys, please feel sorry for me. Please feel sorry for me. But also the Texas team was on the, on the, they had chartered like a Southwest fighter
Starting point is 00:52:38 Delta flight behind us. And they were getting on the plane behind us. We're just waving up to the window. It's pretty awesome. That Texas game had to feel special. Yeah, I did. You know, it kind of validated. You know, we had beaten Ole Miss and Mississippi State in Tennessee the year before.
Starting point is 00:52:53 And then coming in, I forget, first game was rice. I think we didn't play especially well. I think we won big at the end, but we didn't play well. And Texas was weak, too. And our offensive line, our offense played extremely well. Defense played well. And the atmosphere was what college football is supposed to be. And it was, yeah, I mean, I think that validated a little bit of our program, I think.
Starting point is 00:53:22 Maybe even validated me somewhat. Yeah, I wasn't sold until then. Yeah. Can you feel, because you try to be as much of the people as any coach that I know, but can you feel the teams that we just, that the fans just absolutely want to beat more than the other teams? You can feel it. Yeah, I mean, you really can. You can feel it in the hog walk.
Starting point is 00:53:44 You can fill it pregame. The more people understand is pregame, the more excited the fans are. I mean, I know tailgating is a big deal. Hell, when I retire, I'm going to be out there, too, you know. But you can feel all, you sure can. The kids can. The size of the hog walk, you can feel that too. And so, and a lot of times it's really humbling because you go out there and they're
Starting point is 00:54:12 yell them, you know, my name or whatever, like I'm going to play. I'm not playing, you know, but very humbling, too, at the same time. Do you ever go to the grocery store alone? No. Because you don't like to grocery shop. or because you can't. Well, I like to eat. I don't necessarily like the grocery shop,
Starting point is 00:54:30 but no, I can't, I mean, I can go wherever I want to, but it's not easy to get out. You know what I mean? It's a lot of folks. I mean, this is a state. This is a town that we love. It's what we have. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:49 Because, you know, Arkansas, we don't have a lot as far as, we don't have the population to have any professional team. Like, we have the Razorbacks. Yeah. You know, you have the keys to our house that we love. And, you know, you're the guy. And I can't imagine how popular and how famous you are to people walking around
Starting point is 00:55:05 because you're the guy that we all look to to get us, you know, 9, 10, 11 wins. Well, I understand that too. I do. And none of it's a burden. No, no, no, I'd rather be doing what I'm doing than anything else in the world. And very honored to be looked at that way. But it is, you know, I can remember Bobby, when Hunter came to the house and, And one of the last questions he asked me was, can you handle being the head coach at Arkansas with the public?
Starting point is 00:55:35 And I was like, I don't know what you mean, you know. And I didn't, you know, and of course the answer was, oh, hell yeah, I can do it. You know, whatever. But you can't be prepared for being the head coach at Arkansas until you're doing it. Because it is a different deal. And I enjoy every bit of it. Not all of it. you know what I mean, most of it.
Starting point is 00:55:56 But that was a question he asked because he understood more than I did. This job is obviously football, but it's so much public relations as well. And so with you being the CEO of this company in the face of this company that is Arkansas football, there are a lot of things that people probably don't realize you have to do. And it's politics in a way.
Starting point is 00:56:16 And I consider running for the government of Arkansas for a bit, but then they were like, all you do is get on the phone, ask people for money the whole time. That's all. Like you do what you do, but really it's a lot of things. funding things. And so that's got to be a big part about what you do as well, right?
Starting point is 00:56:29 It's making sure that people, and full disclosure, I'm a donor to the program, but making sure people feel involved and feel like there's some optimism about the program. Yeah, I think it's about access, you know, or am I willing to go do this, this, and this, and show gratitude and things for people who are donors, you know. there's a lot that goes on each and every day a lot like today there's been so many different things that go on some of it has to do internally some of it has to do with you know nil some of it has to do with what's going on on the portal all those type things there's always something I'm not really good at
Starting point is 00:57:11 much but I am a good problem solver because nothing really takes me up here and nothing really takes me down here but I do want to solve it as fast as I can but as far as of donors, we've got plenty of wealthy people in the state, but they're not going to give. It's just like a teacher. She's not going to want to give you a good grade if she doesn't know who you are. And it's the same thing with donors. They want to know who you are. They see who you are on TV, but they want to sit down and have a conversation with you.
Starting point is 00:57:45 And if we're asking them to give money, I need to do that. Coach, I know Bobby has your phone number and be honest here. How often does he text you? Never. No, hold on. I'm not asking you. I'm asking coach. Once you want a water burger, it's like, leave me alone.
Starting point is 00:57:57 Other than that, Coach, does he ever text you before a game and say, coach, I think we should do this? Nope. Not at all. If he did, though, would you be cool with that? You don't care if I said. Whatever you want. I did get a call. And I happened to be on the lake just to go by and, hey, look at this place.
Starting point is 00:58:15 And I did. I was more than happy to do it. And went by. I took a few pictures from the lake side. Music was blaring too. It was like foreigner. You could tell foreigner on a barge and he was like, yeah, man, but he did. I mean, it looked like a nice place, but still hadn't sold.
Starting point is 00:58:33 I don't ever want to abuse that. Oh, no. You absolutely do not at all. I feel guilty asking for like a T-shirt. Right, right. But this program, this organization, this program, this school to me, and my wife would say the same thing. Like, I've been able to do some cool stuff. Like, I've written bestsellers.
Starting point is 00:58:50 I sell out theater. I do whatever. I have a big radio show. But all that goes secondary when Arkansas plays football. Isn't that crazy? Every single thing. I think there's a lot of successful people that feel the same way. You know, it's weird.
Starting point is 00:59:04 I mean, it's wild. But it's the passion for the hogs. I mean, that's how you grew up. It's how I grew up. And it was the really only consistent thing. I moved around a bunch, like mom or liberal grandma or got, you know, shipped around a little bit. But the only thing that was consistent was Saturday. Arkansas was going to play on, like, J.P.
Starting point is 00:59:21 sports or you know wherever it was and I think that is and also when you come from a place it doesn't have a lot what you do have is so important amen and that's this whole that's that's the whole deal here and so you know you feel like you're one of us but really what people don't know is you have a british accent and you're actually from london and you really that's the thing about you coach you really pull it off well you know I'm a small town kid from Oklahoma and and when I came over here my junior year, I wanted, Lou Holtz was the coach. I wanted to be a hog so bad.
Starting point is 00:59:54 And I had my aunt and uncle lived in Dover, Arkansas, and they were big hog fans. I said, I'd do anything. The hogs offered me. Of course, they were smart and they didn't. I wasn't either, but I was hoping, you know, and I wouldn't offered me now. But I fell in love with the hogs, and that was it.
Starting point is 01:00:15 And then I'll be honest with you, Coming back here as an O-line coach was a dream, you know. I think it was a dream more. You know how you do some things and it's for your parents? You know, some of it's a little bit more for you and getting back home, but it's for the enlightenment and the gratitude, appreciation for what your parents did and here we're doing something. That was a little bit about it then.
Starting point is 01:00:40 And then come back as a head coach was, that was unbelievable. When you got the job, did you feel like you were in the mix early? Oh, no. Thursday, about Thursday. Now, we're getting ready to play the SEC championship game. We're getting ready to play LSU. And I had spoke with Hunter that week on a Monday. And I felt like it was kind of a courtesy type deal, you know,
Starting point is 01:01:07 because the kids had wanted, you know, him to talk to me. You're old guys here when you were a little coach. Yeah. And so went about our business. And, you know, I had an agent, And she said, hey, we're not going to do anything until after the game. I said, I don't want to do anything until after the game. And then after the game, I look at my phone and it's crickets.
Starting point is 01:01:26 You know, I'm going, oh, well. And then I was thankful that I had the job I had, you know. And then Sunday at about 10 a.m. Eastern time, Jamie called me, and she was bawling, you know. And I said, I thought something had happened to her parents or something like that. Arkansas is going to call you, you know. They did. How did she? Well, back in the day, I didn't have two phones. I wonder which number I have, Eddie. Now that he says that. That's a good question. Now, I probably got the crappy number.
Starting point is 01:01:56 No, I think you got the bat phone. You know, it would be funny if I called him. He had them both out and we saw. We made them declare which phone was real and then we saw which one rang. I think you got my phone. Okay, okay. But they called her, she had the phone? Well, what happened, I didn't have two phones, but I didn't want to interview with Arkansas on Georgia's phone. So I took Jamie's phone to whenever I entered. interviewed. And then they called that phone number. And Jamie, you know, Jamie had it at home.
Starting point is 01:02:24 And she said, here's a number call, you know, and I did. And they just said, hey, give us an hour. And if we take, bring the plane to Athens, we're going to hire you as an ex-head coach, you know. And so I said, bring the plane. I said, well, come on. That's like the Pope watching the smoke. Yeah. You're like just watching for the plane to fly in? I said, well, come on. Come on. Come on now. And they said, well, crazy business, you know, we'll let you know in an hour. So I want to talk to Kirby about it, you know. And then by hour and 15 minutes later, they called so they were coming to Athens. Could you believe it?
Starting point is 01:02:59 No. And then so I'm driving home and I don't know, I'm maybe 10 minutes out and the chancellor calls. And then I'm going, man, this is like real. And he's talking about academics. And I'm like, yes. Absolutely. You know, I don't care if they even practice, you know. And so I hung up the phone, I think.
Starting point is 01:03:21 Well, then I need a haircut, so I go to Supercuts. I'm 19th in line. The thing says, you get a ticket. The thing says 59 minutes. Well, that plane's going to be there an hour and 10. And I'm going, well, I'm going to, I saw I'm going to get the haircut. So I got my haircut. I got home, and I took a quick shower, put a tight suit on,
Starting point is 01:03:43 because that's all I own. because I keep thinking I'm going to lose weight, but I don't. So I put my tight suit on, and then here they come in. We talked for a little bit, and about three or four people with cameras. They started walking in, and I'm going, man, I think I got a chance. And they started a video on stuff, and then we came back. And on the way back, they said, hey, you've got a team meeting at such and such. Well, I hadn't prepared for nothing.
Starting point is 01:04:10 I was in there grading tape on the LSU, Georgia game. you know, that morning. I hadn't prepared for anything, so I just dried a few notes. It all happened that fast? That fast. Do you still get your hair cut at supercuts? I think either supercuts or pro cuts.
Starting point is 01:04:26 I don't know, but it's... Do they come to you? No, but I've got a young lady that I call and she gets me in before work. You know long after waiting that line. No, I like her. I mean, I'm old. Who cares what my hair looks like. So talk about hiring now because offensive coordinator,
Starting point is 01:04:44 this year has been here before and so you make that call to him he was Maryland I believe yeah and like now that you know what it's like to be hired for a huge high profile situation does that make you do you treat people differently as now an executive as well executive anti-coach I hope I treat them like I would anybody the expectations of what they're them doing their job is high you know when KB was going to go to you know was talking about Mississippi State, I had called Dan and said, hey, if KB leaves, would you be an arrested? And he said, absolutely. So whenever Kendall decided to go to TCU, that was quick and fast.
Starting point is 01:05:28 Now, T. Wells was a little bit longer, you know, because I interviewed more people for that job. Actually, I was in Maryland and everybody was saying I was there to get their defensive coordinator when I was just up there to see John. our defensive end. And so I was supposed to meet T. Will in Orlando. And I said, hey, can you drive to Tampa? So because they're tracking your plane. They're tracking the plane.
Starting point is 01:05:56 And he said, yes. Well, so then I interviewed T. Will. I knew right when we got done, that's who I wanted to hire. Flew from there to Miami to pick up Morgan Turner, our tight-in coach. He was recruiting for Stanford. and I said, just buy any kind of clothes, I'm not letting you on the plane if you have Stanford gear on. And we picked him up and we came home.
Starting point is 01:06:23 So that was a heck of a day when we hired Travis Williams. But I did not hire him at that point because I didn't want to disrespect UCF because it was close to signing day. And then Gus called me and said, I'm going to lose my secondary coach. Are you going to hire T Will? I said, yes, but I'm trying to show respect and this. And he said, well, go ahead and hire him because if not, I'm going to lose my secondary coach, whom he hired.
Starting point is 01:06:52 He then promoted. Yeah, he promoted. So, yeah, so it's a crazy world. Was Coach Dennis just kind of hit the ground running here since he lived here before? He did. That element of like finding a place to live is probably easier so he can be normal quicker. Yeah, he knew the whole place, just like I did when I came back. And it was a very easy transition.
Starting point is 01:07:10 And actually, he flew in and then went on the road when he landed. As soon as he landed, he went into a couple schools right when he landed. So that was easy. And then T. Will, you know, he was at Auburn. He understands the recruiting of the SEC and all that kind of stuff. He came in during the Bowl prep, during the Liberty Bowl prep. So his wasn't so urgent, you know. we were in recruiting season
Starting point is 01:07:38 definitely towards a little bit more urgency when Dan got here. But they both done an outstanding job. Is there a... I don't want to say new, but the significance has kind of been restated of having
Starting point is 01:07:54 a really good backup quarterback. Do you feel that way after what happened last year with KJ and Hurt? Yeah, absolutely. I mean, you know, in life you learn a lot of lessons and being the head coach. you learn a lot of lessons. Some people think you're pretty good at what you do.
Starting point is 01:08:09 Some people think you're horrible, you know, all that kind of stuff. But as long as you're willing to learn all the time and admit that there was a mistake or whatever, and we just weren't quite ready there in the backup quarterback situation. And so, you know, we went out and got Criswell, who I think's going to be a really good player for us years to come. And we went out, got him and got him in the game the other day. He went two for two. Throws. I mean, he's got a gun.
Starting point is 01:08:39 Spins it, as they say. All right, final three questions. Eddie, go ahead. Yeah, coach, the players keep you young. You know, they kind of come to your office and teach you the new lingo and new words. Do you say stuff like lit? No, I haven't lit up yet. But I tell what keeps me young.
Starting point is 01:08:55 The kids, we were actually talking about it out there during Flex. And I said, you know, I'm 61 and I don't feel, I feel young. But I know a lot of. but I know a lot of 61-year-olds that are 61. You know, if that makes sense when we were talking about it out there. But the music, it's like whatever music they're playing, if I like the song, then I tell Dalton our equipment guy, I say, give it to them, and then I'll put it on my Hot Springs Yacht Club, you know, deal.
Starting point is 01:09:25 But the music kind of keeps me young, too. So there are some, there is some music that they, you know, the young kids listen to that I like. What's one artist that you got kind of turned to recently? What's the guy? The last one I put on there was I can't. What's the guy's name? 50 cent.
Starting point is 01:09:44 It was I can't. New guy. Yeah, new guy. New rapper. I've never heard of them before. Let's go. But what happens is if you do the edited version, a lot of times it's just a beat. You know.
Starting point is 01:09:58 A lot of things. You do edited versions out of there? We do. We don't have the F-bomb and all that stuff nowhere in this building, you know, unless somebody says it, not on lyrics and all that kind of stuff. So, you know, I'm on Hot Springs Yacht Club.
Starting point is 01:10:15 I'm going to crank it. I got a nice stereo, you know, on my boat. And so I don't want, you know, all that stuff on there, you know. So a lot of times, though, it's just the beat, you know, because it's nothing else. It's all instrumental. It's an instrumental. My whole Yacht's just an instrumental play.
Starting point is 01:10:33 Tell the beat, though, coach. That's a great meet. All right, two questions left. Your opinion, what's the greatest football movie of all time? Hmm. Mm. What are the best three? Well, do you count Forrest Gump as a football?
Starting point is 01:10:49 Not football, right? I mean, he played football. Yeah, man, the president. Football. I mean, what was the one where Adam Sandler was in that? Waterboy? Waterboy was pretty good, I thought. No one said that yet.
Starting point is 01:11:08 Obviously, help me, Kyle. Longish Yard. He just said in a movie and you should have it. Is that the old version coach or the new one? Hold on, hold on. I'm talking about our guy, Brandon Burlesworth. Greater. Greater.
Starting point is 01:11:21 That's a good football movie. But that ain't, that's a, that's a movie. Yeah. Movie. And then the last one, I'm going to say, unnecessary roughness. Yeah, that's a good one. That's a good one.
Starting point is 01:11:36 Yeah, Kathy Island was the kicker. Yeah, she was the girl kicker. Yeah, I thought it was a good one. Yeah, because when I was a kid, everybody liked Kathy Ireland. What school was that? Texas. There was a green school. Texas state.
Starting point is 01:11:45 Something like that. It was North Texas. North Texas. Yeah. North Texas, me and green. I don't know. You caught me on that one, but I do like Bobby Bouchet, you know. Hilarious.
Starting point is 01:11:54 All right. Final question. What is a success for you this year with this season, with this team, non-cliche answer? Florida Bowl or better. We want to be in a top 20 consistently in a Florida bowl or better. And if we can do that, to me, we've had the lowest amount of success. In other words, we can not have to, you know, go incognito in town or in the state.
Starting point is 01:12:31 but I said to Florida bowl some Florida bowl is the floor. It's the marker. And then whatever else. That's an honest answer. I like it. I'm glad it wasn't. Well, I feel like if the players just come to me
Starting point is 01:12:44 and say we had a good day, that was a win. Those answers we don't like. No, well, when we went out to Outback Bowl, we finished 20th in the country, won nine games. And to me, that should be, you know, somewhere around the floor with what we get done. Well, we love you, Coach. Who Pig, and when we go places, they're like,
Starting point is 01:13:08 you're going to come watch a game? I told Beamer at South Carolina, he's like, you should come out, be on the sideline. And everybody's story, everybody was in the room. I said, do you think if I have a free Saturday? I'm going to come here and not go to watch Arkansas play? And he goes, that's a good point. And that was it.
Starting point is 01:13:22 And that's how that conversation ended. So we're super pumped about this year, super pumped to have you, and we appreciate the time. All right, man, thanks, coach. Appreciate you. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what you're saying.

Starting point is 01:16:54 A few things I wanted to mention, first of all, the clip of Mahomes running that, like, I don't know, it's like a third and 25 or whatever it was, and there's just blatant holding, holding that can't see a defensive place. I mean, it's so blatant. And people are like, okay, They were protecting my homes. They wanted the chiefs to win.
Starting point is 01:17:14 And to that, I say, probably. Oh, yeah? You think so? I was more of the, oh, it's so blatant. I absolutely agree with that. But I'm more of the, there's holding every single play. I agree, but it's like you can hold on the inside, but this was holding. It's out in the open.
Starting point is 01:17:29 Yeah, I mean, wide open. And the rep was staring right out. The play had broken down. Yeah. Superstars get superstar treatment. I believe that is the case. Or the script, man. I don't believe in a script.
Starting point is 01:17:41 I cannot lose. T. Swift in the house, though. I don't believe in a script. The Bears are probably going to release Chase Claypool. Oh, no! They say he's like a child. Yeah. Really? He's an odd dude. He had a great, man. That was like a, what, a few, three years ago?
Starting point is 01:17:55 They've asked for a fifth round pick, but nobody's wanting to trade that for him. And so they're like, all right, well, he's been catered to his whole career. He's a child and no one wants to deal with it. Who said that? A source close to the situation. He's, okay, so he's doing, he's whipping people with a towel in the locker room. that's what he's doing I thought he was panting people
Starting point is 01:18:13 or that too what do they have the glazer was current all adds for NFL coaches to be fired number five Robert Salaf and the Jets 10 to 1
Starting point is 01:18:23 no way you can't he bought himself another year yeah I think he hurt Rogers oh yeah on purpose
Starting point is 01:18:30 and now Rogers and he's coming back this year okay relax he just got to be in the news he's only yes I agree
Starting point is 01:18:38 and he's only even considering it if like like eight things go right and one of them is if the Jets win enough games to be in it. Yeah. But how much fun though to be able to say whatever you want and you know it's going to be printed? It's awesome. And people are going to talk about it. Yeah. It'll be awesome. Brandon Staley at four, Ron Rivera at three. Although I don't feel like Ron Rivera is going to get fired. It's not over for him. Yeah. I feel like Staley before him.
Starting point is 01:18:58 Matt Eberflucet two and Josh McDaniels at one. He's two to one odds to be fired. How about you read that about yourself? Terrible. And Jonathan Taylor to return to returned to practice this week. I don't know. With who? Who's he with it? The Colts. He never traded him.
Starting point is 01:19:10 Oh, they never got rid of him? No. Never got rid of him. He's been on the PUP. On the Pup. What is the Pup? It's where you can't play. Physically unable to perform.
Starting point is 01:19:21 So it should be putt. Physically unable to perform. No. The TSI but he physically could have performed. Yeah. Right. He just, yeah.
Starting point is 01:19:30 He's trying to contract. Nobody really knows. But yeah. His ankle, quote, unquote. Right. Yeah. Sure. Okay.
Starting point is 01:19:35 Yeah, yeah. All right, well, that's it. And what's IRR? Injure Reserve. Got it. STD? That's sexual transmitted disease. Okay.
Starting point is 01:19:42 Is that one of the ones you could get in the list for? Mm-hmm. Yeah, look. We still have to cover our locks last week real quick. I don't want to. No? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Let's talk about those.
Starting point is 01:19:52 Go ahead. I'm glad you reminded me. Go ahead. All right. Reid over there. You had the Colts minus 2 and you lost, buddy. Yeah. Sorry, Re.
Starting point is 01:19:58 Loser. I had Georgia minus 14 and a half. I lost, buddy. Loooo. Bobby, Arkansas plus six and a half. Shut up. Sorry, buddy. Ray, who's not sitting with us right now, but he had Kansas plus 16 and a half.
Starting point is 01:20:09 That lost two. Sorry, buddy. Dang it, the only winner this week. Cowboys minus seven, Eddie. How about them, Cowboys? So we all owe 10 bucks? Not me. Put it in the piggy bank.
Starting point is 01:20:21 I got a jar. You do have a jar? I got it coming, yeah. Okay. Because not spending money to anything. I know. It's a sound better. There is a new too much access, University of Arkansas.
Starting point is 01:20:31 off. Go check it out. We get Philgoal lessons from Cam Little. We, that, you know, Articles tied into broken his collarbone. Luke has, who is killing it. He is with us. So check that out. Just go to Too Muchaccess.com.
Starting point is 01:20:45 And that's it. I have to go to the butthole doctor right now. That's no good. I don't want to go. You have to sit in those stirrups? I don't know. My doctor texts me because I've been taking this medicine and like rubbing it on my butt. And he's like, how's it been going?
Starting point is 01:20:59 But it's, I've had a, like, had an IBS real bad. I had a strain so that it's like a hemorrhoid and it's like bleeding and stuff. And I'm like, it's not going great. And he goes, you need to come in. And I'm like, when? He goes, you probably come in today. And I was like, I'm, my literal message was, I'm sorry if like my butt hole today. You said that to him?
Starting point is 01:21:14 Yeah. That's nice of you. Did he say it's okay? No. Okay. He didn't respond. He's like, yeah, I know. Because I would have, I would have shaved it.
Starting point is 01:21:22 Stop, dude. I would have. Stop. What are you talking about? I would take the back because I'm at work and I'm going from work. He doesn't care. He's not, you don't have to groom for the doctor. But I would.
Starting point is 01:21:35 Just for him? No, it's just disgusting. Courtesy. I hate the people have to look at my butthole. It sucks. What on earth? But it hurts. It's killing me for like two months.
Starting point is 01:21:45 What? You ask the doctor if he appreciates it. I shaved my butt when I got a colonoscopy and endoscopy. Because we're trying to see if anything was wrong with mansides and it wasn't. And I was all messed up when I came out of it. I was like, I shamed my butt hole. I said that to the nurse. Oh my God.
Starting point is 01:22:00 You ever wonder how doctors could just be doctors like that? That's just wild. And I would think that they just get used to it, but then even then I know. Nah, I don't get used to that. It's still gross. You're still a human. You know they're judging you. And then male gynecologists, you know they're a little weird. The only thing I can do, like gynecologists, proctologist, that kind of thing,
Starting point is 01:22:20 especially male. Female I get. Sure. But male, it's like, well, there's only, you can't get in this class. There's only three seats left in Gyno 101, 102, so you can go, okay, fine. And so that's how they end up there. Fine, I'll do it. I'll do proctology.
Starting point is 01:22:33 God dang, man. I just want to get into something. So that's it. We'll check you guys on Friday. We're going to take a tour bus to go. Our Kansas State episode should come out next week. We're taking a tour bus to University of Cincinnati this week. That's awesome, dude.
