Use the code Bobby Sports to get in on the action
Later we'll talk about the Eliminator
We've already recorded that segment
When I found out that I was literally playing
For thousands of dollars this weekend
We had to record it as the emotion was going
So we'll get to that in a minute
No pressure
But we'll leave that
We recorded that just a bit ago
So we'll get into that
But if you don't mind, Adam
Go ahead and blow us in
And let's get the show started
Let's go.
Oh my God.
That's not a sign of things to come.
We cannot thank you.
He was even warming up his whistle earlier, and that's still what happened?
That's embarrassing.
I do it upside down.
That is a sign of things to come.
I didn't know that was a thing.
This is episode 34 of 25 whistles.
Oh, my goodness.
All right, warm up question.
Basically, the calisthenics before we get started, the stretches.
Name of food you hate.
Name of food you hate.
Kick off, Kevin.
Food I hate.
Yeah, man, that's the question.
I know, I don't know.
Are you not a picky eater at all?
No, I used to be not so much anymore.
I would say I hate mustard.
Okay.
It's not necessarily a food, but...
That's a food?
That's a food.
Yeah, you hate mustard.
I hate mustard.
Yeah.
Dang.
You love mustard bones.
I hate him.
Wow.
I love mustard.
I eat on any meat.
I eat on steak if I have to.
Oh.
Yeah, I love mustard.
Eddie, a food you hate.
Olives, man.
Can't stand them.
They're disgusting.
And for years, this is funny, for years, like my wife and I, we dated six years before we got engaged.
And I would order pepperoni mushroom pizza, which is my pizza since I was a kid.
And then I just randomly asked, probably like six years, five years into his date.
And I'm like, if you were to order pizza however you wanted, what would you get?
How many years did you wait?
About five years.
And she said, I would get olives, not pepperoni and mushroom.
And I'm like, that is so gross.
So now she gets.
Nope, never again.
I developed my taste for olives later in life.
So should I give it a second shot?
No, for some reason I thought,
maybe I don't hate those anymore.
And then I had a couple, and I like them now.
Oh, you do?
I do.
I don't like black olives as much, but I like green.
And sometimes if we're at the airport
and they have one of those, like Salt Lake City,
which we go to Utah a decent amount
because we have family over there that coaches the Utah softball team,
we'll find a Salt Lake,
and they have this really good, organic, natural food place in there.
and I'll go and just get a little bucket of olives.
Wow, that's crazy.
I used to hate them.
I get Bloody Mary's, which I love Bloody Marys the drink,
but then it comes with olives.
I'm always like, throw these away.
No olives. Get that out of there.
Olives, you like them or not?
No.
Well, you could think of nothing a minute ago.
Yeah, I know. I know. I know.
He hates everything.
I hate it all, actually.
Mike.
I will eat any vegetable except cherry tomatoes.
Something about the texture and the taste.
I just can't eat them.
I guess I thought they were just smaller,
Are they different?
I feel like they're different.
I'm not saying they're not.
I don't know.
Different variety.
Yeah.
Like their skin is different?
Just like biting into one.
It feels like you're biting into like a weird grape or something.
Okay.
Nature's gushers.
It should call that a weird grape.
It is sweeter?
Yeah.
You know, a tomato, by the way, is a fruit.
Because it has seeds.
Anything with seeds is a fruit.
Like a pumpkin?
That's a fruit, my friends.
I think you've had this talk before.
We have on that.
Adam?
Oh, man.
Raw onions?
I could, when I taste a raw onion that gets slipped into some sort of food that I'm eating, I'll get fighting mad.
I hate them with a burning, flaming passion.
Yeah, I don't like onions either.
It's on my list, any onion at all.
I don't like the taste.
I don't like the crunch.
However, my wife sneaks them into things sometimes.
And when I don't notice, I actually liked them.
Who knew?
You're a child.
I guess for flavoring purposes, I would say no onions.
And she would say, you will not know there's an onion in there.
So she won't agree no onions.
But I'm like, listen, if I don't know.
It's like if someone doesn't wash their hands when they cook my food.
and they didn't abide by the sign of the bathroom.
If I don't know.
What are you going to do about it?
I don't know.
It doesn't hurt me.
I hate peppers.
Like bell peppers?
Bell peppers, green peppers, red peppers, pepper.
I hate peppers.
This is ridiculous, guys.
He loves fajitas.
He loves fajitas, but no peppers and no onions.
Cooked onions and peppers are different than like raw peppers.
No, they're not.
They're all the same.
They're just different temperature.
And I like fajitas.
I need a lot of cheese.
and I don't like onions or peppers.
Which is the way all fajita's comp.
That being said, later in life, I've developed a taste for peppercini peppers and only peppercini peppers, and I actually love them.
Are those the ones that come with the Papa John's pizza?
Yes.
Not the same kind of pepper.
I'll even do, because my wife and I will buy these cauliflower crusts just at the grocery store, and you put whatever on it you want.
And I'll get pepper chint and put them on with pepperoni sometimes.
I don't know why.
I love it.
I love that...
You like Kevin?
You like peppergienies?
No.
Okay.
This is why it's a warm-up question, right?
Yeah, yeah.
I hate peanut butter with all my...
Whoa.
I hate the smell of it.
I don't even so much hate the texture
because I like almond butter.
And I like peanuts.
And I like butter.
That's so weird.
I hate peanut butter.
I love peanuts and candy.
I love peanuts eating by themselves.
I love peanuts in a car.
I love peanuts in a lot.
I hate peanut butter.
That's a revelation.
Disgusting.
Is that a childhood memory or something?
Never liked it.
No, I just never liked it.
Pudding is one of those.
We used to get government cheese, rice, and pudding.
We'd wait in line, and we would go down to the local place in Mountain Pine that gave away the subsidies every month.
My grandma and I weighed in line.
And I ate so much pudding once.
I ate a whole ten of it because they're in like the military mills to mill kits.
I ate a whole ten of it once.
It got so sick.
It's been hard for me to eat pudding.
ever since. Every once in a while, if it's the right, I just don't. And it was dark chocolate,
and I don't even like dark chocolate anymore. I hate dark chocolate from that situation.
That's why, wow. Yeah. But peanut butter, onions, peppers.
mayonnaise, disgusting. Kill me. Oh, manis is so great. Kill me. Kill me dead. All right. That's
the warm up. Everybody feel warm? Yeah. Good. Let's tittle tittle.
It's time for the tittle tittle. What you got, buddy? Do you think relinquishing play calls in
Bobby Petrino could save Jimbo Fisher at Texas A&M next year.
Yeah. Bobby Petrino's awesome.
Bobby Petrino, if I got to pick one offensive mind in all of football right now to go
in my college team, Bobby Trino, I love him.
I mean, we had some issues at Arkansas, obviously.
But it wasn't because of his play calling or what he did professionally.
And yeah, he's a little prickly to deal with, and people don't like him as a person.
That's generous.
But you aren't dealing with someone who has to go and win a Boy Scout bad.
And you know what?
He'll stand up to Jimbo Fisher, too.
Meaning it's not going to be an OC that just comes in.
And when Jimbo Fisher's like, you know, I like to call plays right.
I think he's going to get some pushback from Bobby Petrino.
Yeah.
So it's amazing for Texas A&M.
I actually hate it.
I hate it for them because...
It's going to make them better.
Yeah, it's going to...
We have to play them.
And you don't think he wants to run up a 200-point tab on us.
But I love Bartreino.
He was in Missouri State.
He went to UNLV.
I know.
They hired him to be the OC a month ago.
and then it was
Badoop
now he's going to Texas A&M.
You know, Shady,
but he's been known
as Mr. Shady a long time.
On brand, 100%.
So I guess no one's surprised
so it's just kind of a blip
and onto the next.
But yes, that is a massive, massive hire.
All right, number two,
which quarterback do you trust
more heading into Monday's championship
Stetson Bennett or Max Duggan?
Don't be a hater.
Well, I trust
Stetson Bennett
for what he's been able to do consistently.
I don't think he can do ceiling
what Max can do.
If I needed a quarterback
to play out of their mind, I would go
to the TCU side line.
I'd be like Max, I'm a guy.
But who do I trust to be as consistent as they've been all year?
Stets and Bennett's like 43.
He was born a year before I was.
Like the guy's...
I trust Stets and Bennett to do what he's brought in to do.
He's not supposed to go out and throw for 390 yards.
But I trust him
to actually execute the game plan
that Georgia wants to
execute in order to have the best shot at winning.
If I need to bring in one quarterback, I need him to play really well.
Some play above.
Like, we're counting on you.
You got to win us the game.
Well, then it's Max Duggan.
But if you're asking me, which quarterback do I trust?
It's, he's been there.
Yeah.
So, yes, that's my answer to that.
If I were drafting a quarterback, it's a different story.
That's what you mean by ceiling?
Ceiling is, what's the highest he can get?
In that game, if you need a really high ceiling, you definitely want a quarterback who can
more things. Run faster, throw harder, make better decisions. And that's the purple. Over on the red,
you got a guy who's going to do everything consistently and solid because he's done it consistently,
but he's not going to, you know, again, throw and break any passing records or run a 93-yard
quarterback draw and take it to the house. But I'm going to go Setson Bennett. Now, you can
bowl the whistle on me, and I would understand your argument, but that's who I would trust more
to execute the game plan that we think we need to execute in order to win.
I'm not blowing the whistle.
I love Stetsamben.
I think Georgia loves him too.
I think the team stands behind him.
I think they respect him.
He's a leader, dude.
He may not look like a leader.
He may not look like the greatest starting quarterback, but I love...
Why are you talking about what he looks like?
I think he looks pretty good.
No, no, no, stop.
Take care of your accounting, too, everyone.
He just doesn't look like a quarterback, you know, but I love it.
I think he's great, and that's the dude I want on my team.
But the dude I want on my team is not Stetsoneman.
invented up I got a pick.
Yeah, out of the two.
Yeah, but I like them.
And Georgia's probably going to win, and that's that.
But it'd be cool.
It'd be cool if they didn't.
Yeah.
That'd be awesome.
It'd be cool.
I'm rooting for Georgia.
S.C. guy.
My homerism, above all.
You lived in Texas for a long time, though.
Yeah, but I don't care.
T.C.'s a bunch of rich kids in my mind.
Oh, are they all rich?
Yeah.
Private Christian school.
Yeah.
But that doesn't mean the football players are.
And I like an underdog.
So if they did win, I wouldn't be that beat up.
I'm not even going to bet that game.
Really?
even with a big spread like that?
See, that's why I would love to bet it with TCU.
I feel like it's going to be closer than anyone thinks.
I did win a bunch of money on TCU covering.
Yeah.
But they won the game outright, but they were five and a half, six and a half point dog.
So it should be fun.
What's a spread as a...
Well, that takes me on the next question then.
As 12.5 point underdogs, do you think TCU is being unfairly disrespected?
I don't think unfairly.
And I don't think it's...
You have to remember, Vegas doesn't actually want to predict the game.
they want to predict what's that exact number
that will get people betting 50-50.
They're trying to find that sweet spot
where if it's minus 12,
half people are going to go,
that's a good number.
I'm going to bet that on Georgia.
That's going,
oh, that's a good number.
I bet that on a TCU.
Because if it's 50-50,
Vegas or whomever wins,
because it costs a little bit to place a bet.
So I don't think that it's a disrespect.
Somebody going,
well, show those idiots.
Yeah, no.
It's a business decision.
Now you can go,
well, they're disrespecting us
by not valuing.
what we really can do.
That's not personal.
I disrespect to me is personal.
I think that Georgia will probably cover.
Does a widespread like that fuel a team
to be like, oh, okay, okay, the numbers,
the stats are saying we're not going to play a close game,
but I disagree.
Like, does it fuel them?
In the way of anything that, quote, unquote, fuels,
like once you get out there,
it's kind of everything that you've prepared,
for can you go out and do it how much do you know about what we're going to do and how can
you pivot if something goes that's not according to plan yeah and then athleticism etc it could
fuel you to prepare harder but i don't i don't buy into the hype of we're we're really mad and you're
going to play all game mad i do believe and you can be disrespected and you spend all week like
practicing extra hard because you're spending extra time and but i don't at this stage i don't
think a spread is going to make them feel any different than the whole rest of the season and
whatever else is saying about them anyway. Nobody gives them a chance. But I do think that's been
that's been their narrative all year. They lost in that conference championship game is still
crazy. Yeah. Yeah. They almost did. It's like a long time ago. Yeah, it does. Right.
But once you get out there and you're playing, you're not in the middle of third quarter. You're
not thinking about that. I'm going to do it for the spread. Right. Right. I'll show Vegas today.
Watch this. I'm going to get this for the
Right. Go ahead.
Do you think Georgia will officially take over
as a new college football powerhouse if they win their
back-to-back championship?
Oh, man.
I'm going to say to everyday college football fans, yes.
Because we're watching, they've won two.
They've been, but still to people who are moderate, light,
and occasional football fans, no.
Because it's still, it's so new money.
Georgia's new money in football.
Even with Mark Rick in the 90s,
they weren't winning a chance.
But they were good.
Good, but they're new money in championships.
I mean, Clemson is semi-new money.
Old money is Bama, Ohio State, USC.
We could go down that list.
That's all money.
Notre Dame.
That's old money.
Although they did go to, you forget that they've been to the national championship game
and to the final.
Yeah, so it's like, but still I consider,
I just think Notre Dame sucks, even that.
Yeah.
I think everybody wants them to too, too.
Also, they were just so bad for so long.
But I'm going to go, yes, to us,
it's still Georgia and Alabama.
But in that order now.
But to people that aren't hardcore fans,
I think it's still Alabama,
Ohio State Georgia, Georgia's climbing,
but they are not going to be the overall power
that's just known as that because it's just new, new.
People will call me new money sometimes.
And try to be insulting to me.
Like on the internet, you're total new money.
You're just new money.
How disgusting.
And I'm like, new money.
any money.
Yeah. Yeah, yeah, I want new money.
Wait, are you saying I'm money?
That's cool. This is awesome.
Yeah, it's as new as it absolutely can be.
That's even better because I had none.
I had none. I came from none.
Nobody said we want to help you get some.
I'm as new money and as proud new money as I could possibly be.
And I want people to see it and know they can also be new money.
Gosh, you're so right. Who wants to be old money?
Exactly.
You did nothing to get your money. That's just old money because it runs in your family.
Everyone's rich.
Apparently I do things that are uncouth.
And they're like, oh, that's a total new money.
Heck, yeah, it is.
Brand new money.
They're mitten that crap right now.
That's how new it is.
Wow, that's cool.
I don't know how to handle it because I never had it.
But it's an insult.
Classic new money movie.
Yeah, you dang right it is.
I'm just glad to have some money.
Put that A1 on that steak sauce, man.
That's right.
Wait, what?
No, that's the no money of him.
And that's your thing?
No, that's the no money.
Yeah, that's a no money.
No money.
There's a lot of that in there, too.
That'll never go away.
88% no money.
10%, oh, we don't have to go week to week.
And then you got like 2%.
Let's go, baby.
That's new money.
Okay, next one.
All right, going to the NFL,
which win and your end team
are you most confident in heading to this weekend?
Patriots at the Bills,
Titans and Jags, which either won,
or the Lions at the Packers.
You know, what's interesting is,
Whenever there's a tie in something in the NFL,
I'm not the only one that does this.
I think everybody does,
but I just go to the quarterback
because that's the position
that gets handled the ball the most.
That's the position that can sometimes
make a good meal out of dog crap.
And Aaron Rogers was back and forth.
By the way, I remember all season long,
I said, do not sleep on the Packers.
And I had them, you guys made fun of me.
You kept saying that.
We were like, that's stupid.
You made fun of me.
I just said only because Rogers is good.
I think he can wheel it back.
There was a way where I was like,
never mind.
And then we were saying like he's got no one,
So who's he going to throw it to?
Exactly.
So.
You found them.
Watson.
I did miss on a couple things this season.
We don't worry about that.
But.
Hey, I don't know.
I'm not going about that.
For example.
No, no, no.
We don't talk about that.
Mr. Busky.
You know, I was a Mr. Busky guy.
Didn't really.
Baker?
You came in strong with Baker.
I'm still a Baker guy.
Oh, my God.
Hold on.
What he's doing with the Rams?
Actually pretty good.
What's he doing with the Rams?
I'm not watching.
Making them.
competitive.
Oh, man.
Motivating them.
Okay.
So I'm going to go with, and we can talk about these individually.
With the Patriots, I don't know that Matt Jones ain't the guy, but with everything around
him, he ain't the guy right now.
Matt Patricia, fair or unfair, the offense has looked so mediocre, where it's just looks like
a team that can score 13 a week.
That's bad.
That's the best way to describe them.
Like, you look at them and you go,
I bet they can score 13 points this week.
Yeah.
Maybe a touchdown, a couple of field goals.
But I don't know that Mac Jones is not the guy.
I think he's not in a system
that allows him to have a shot at making the guy type plays.
And I don't know what I'd move from Mac Jones,
but he's not, no, the answer is not the Pats.
Although, I'm not totally anti-pats.
The Titans, that's going to be tough.
don't have a quarterback.
Although they did look a little better last week, because they could throw a little bit.
But it ain't the Titans.
Trevor Lawrence and Jacksonville?
I like that.
I do like that.
And I do like him.
And he's played really well most of the year.
And he's playing really well right now.
Strong.
Strong Trevor Lawrence.
Strong hair.
I wish you would cut it.
Now it's just gross.
Really?
Yeah, I don't like it anymore.
Just like he's out of college.
Yeah.
And it's like long and straight.
Nobody.
Like Troy Palomalu like that is what I would be if I have long hair
Beautiful hair
So I do like to Jags but it all goes back to Aaron Rogers and the Packers
They're hot
He's still top three quarterback arguably in the league
Top three
Let me go through this here
Mahomes
Josh Allen
Josh Allen
But that's tier one
Those two
The DAC
No
I didn't know I just
didn't want you to forget that name.
Tier one is though,
and I think Rogers is in that next tier
that's still great
and at any time could be
Hall of Fame capable
during a single game.
Where's the goat in this?
Because I know he hasn't had a great season.
He's in that second round still
because he can still throw
and his offensive lines getting better.
But in that second run there,
I'm putting Aaron Rogers,
I'm putting Tom Brady there still.
I'm putting Lamar there healthy.
Ooh.
You know, I'm putting
I'm going to San Diego.
Herbert?
Yeah, and I'm putting Herbert and Burrow in there, Cincinnati.
Yeah.
Where does Jalen Hertz fall?
Has he proven anything yet to you?
You know, I am going to put Jalen Hertz at the very, very top of that rung right below them.
He easily can move into that second rung.
One season doesn't do it for me.
An excellent, awesome season.
But one season, I don't think you move up into that second.
Because I...
And I barely will put...
I said Burrow.
Who else did I say?
Herbert.
I barely will put Herbert in there, but he's had a couple seasons where now,
even though he's been hurt, I do put him in that second wrong.
But the question is, Aaron Rogers and the Packers.
That's who I believe in the most.
Please God win, Packers.
Yeah, man.
You'll see why later.
Please God win.
Yeah.
Okay.
Next up.
All right.
Next one.
Does Jaylon Hurt, speaking of Hurtz, need to play this weekend and get a victory for Philly to be confident
heading to the playoffs?
It's kind of changed over the last few days.
I don't think he needs to, he was a limited.
participant practice I saw. I don't think he needs to play and they win. I think they need to
win if he plays or not, but I don't think him playing is going to make a difference on if he's good
his first week back. I think if he's not 88% don't play him. Even at 78% I wouldn't play him.
Even if that means that you won't get your buy. If they think they can win that game and they
feel great about it with him and limiting him, but again, limited, you still can get hurt.
you also can't play not to get hurt
but yes I think you could play him
but I would just be very careful
because you need him
you need him healthy regardless if he plays week one
or he gets a week off
yeah you'd rather have him
more healthy in the playoffs
you'd rather lose this game
and have him as healthy as possible
in the playoffs then get a buy
and have him not so healthy
my opinion
because you got one week to get better then
coming off being hurt again
that ain't good.
I'm good with it.
I think they're going to do great.
Go Philly.
I hope they have fun too.
Oh yeah.
Have a good time while you're out there with?
I hope they have fun, yeah.
All right, what else?
Going to Vegas, do you believe Devonte Adams
in his recent comments where he said he wants to stay with the Raiders,
no matter what happens with their car?
I don't think he really has a choice.
He's in a contract, a pretty good one with a pretty big signing bonus.
It's going to be hard to get out of that.
He could just start screaming I want out, which players do,
and they can play a player league.
NBA really is.
NFL is getting that way.
But I don't really see him as that guy.
And I do believe it.
It'd be interested to see if you just asked him,
would you go back to Green Bay?
That's a good question.
Because he did come to the Raiders.
One, he wanted to be the guy,
and the money was excellent.
And car again.
But I wonder if he'd go back to Green Bay,
because they both have had pretty rough seasons up until now.
Can you say something like that just to make
your team feel like you want to be there?
Just, I mean, Nick Saban's like, I will not coach
the Crimson Died. He's playing for the Dolphins.
Or coaching the Dolphins. Coach us say that crap all time.
Players, too. You just say it until it actually
starts. Like, for example,
for sure I'm going to be doing this show in a year.
I love that. That makes me feel good.
Like all the shows, the radio show, this show, for sure.
Yeah. Do you really mean that?
I don't know because stuff's coming up.
But yeah, duh.
Yeah. Anything else, Kevin?
Yeah, last one. Which NFC team do you think is most desperate
for the number one seed and to get that home field advantage and to buy the Eagles, Cowboys, or Niners.
Desperation is the Eagles right now.
They would love to have it and not have Jaylon Hertz play and get their cake and eat it to
and give him another week to rest and not have to play them at all.
That would be amazing.
So I think Desperate is that.
Then I would put the Cowboys right after that because they would just love to get a little further without having to play.
Because they, man, man, man, they let us.
I love that.
I like how you're talking, though.
You sound like a real Cowboys fan.
Us.
Sure.
Can I ask a question about it.
Cowboys, do y'all feel like
Cowboys with the number one seed having to buy
would almost be detrimental to them
because they seem to, when they get that love
at the top, they seem to blow it.
I think what's detrimental is them having
to hear about they lose to Tom Brady every single
time. And that's what would be the first round
game for them and will probably will be.
But the Cowboys are so sensitive in every way.
So yes, Adam, the answer is yes, and the detrimental
they're sensitive because their fans suck.
Like, everyone's just so down on them
when they lose it.
so passionate about them because they are up
and down. As a first year a Cowboys fan
What are you noticing? I'm noticing the passion level
extreme on both ends. We're the greatest team
Super Bowl victory. We should not have a team
take their helmets. Yeah. Yeah.
Play Cooper. Forget
Fire deck. What are you talking about?
I think the Eagles probably won it the most.
Then the Cowboys, then the 49ers who are like, we'll play three extra games, let's go.
They'll play on the blacktop. And we'll wear pads. You guys can wear pads.
We won't wear pads.
Yes.
Friken ready to kill somebody.
I do have a Cowboys future that I bet a while ago.
Super Bowl future?
To win it.
I have a couple.
Because if I make big...
I had some big wins last night.
Hey, boys, when he says big, he means big.
I had some big wins last night.
And split second.
I'm talking a fraction of a second from losing the game.
I mean, it happened so tight.
It was so ugly.
It was so scary.
I have the video I'll post.
But...
I'm looking at my futures here.
I know I have Patrick.
I have a Patrick in my home's future.
I'm going to need you to help me out here
and look up some of these stats.
And we'll get to Adam's stats in just a second.
And I may tell you what it is
and we'll look up the stats in just a minute.
But you know what I like about draft kings now too?
They do the authentication.
What do you have to put in the text as well,
the next number?
So that way I don't feel like someone's going to hack me all the time.
But man, I hit hard.
I hit hard last night.
It's awesome.
It's awesome winning money.
It really is, man.
Or smiling more?
Oh, my God.
No, but I won money last night.
I can't promise anything, but I won money last night.
Oh, it was awesome.
The Cowboys, I have them at plus 900,
so I bet 150 bucks.
If they win the Super Bowl, when I bet this,
it was $1,500.
I won $1,500.
Man, that'd be awesome.
That would be awesome.
I have a bunch of,
I have the Colts at plus $15,000 to win the Super Bowl.
You have a cash out on that one?
I bet $20 to win $3,000.
It was right whenever they switched out.
switch quarterbacks and I was like, I'm going in.
This is when...
Matt Ryan went out and Elliger came in.
I was like, this is the key, baby.
Hey, that one ain't happening.
There's no future in that one.
The Chiefs, I have two Chief
from the beginning of the season
when they were at plus 800,
where I bet $100 bucks twice
and each of them pay $900.
For the Chiefs to go to the Super Bowl, to win the Super Bowl.
I could actually cash out now
where I bet $100 and make $150.
I just cashed out on a future.
That's pretty good.
But I'm not going to.
So I got the Chiefs and the Cowboys.
But when I make a bunch of money,
I always put a little nibble back into a future.
You know, long-term investment.
Yeah, that's like the tip.
I have Patrick Mahomes at plus 550 at the beginning of the year
on regular season most passing yards.
If you'll look and see what that is, Kevin,
because I bet 100 to win 500.
I have the Eagles most regular season wins.
Wow, that's good.
from the beginning of the year.
And I don't know where they stand overall.
I know they're still in that mix.
Maybe tied.
Are they tied with the bills and the chiefs?
So come back on that one.
And then I have the Ravens as the AFC North Winter
from beginning of the season.
And the Buccaneers as the Super Bowl champion
because all the show put money in.
And there's 500 bucks on the Buccaneers
from September 1st to win 4,000.
Oh, yeah, I'm in on that one.
So I do have a little...
Those are my futures there.
Are we down with Tiddle title questions?
Yes.
All right, that's still towel.

the Cowboys over 2.5 touchdowns.
That's it.
They score three.
You know, they're going to score three touchdowns.
First quarter.
All right, there you go.

Okay, let's do the big story of the weekend.
Everybody have one.
What's the big story you're looking at as we go in to this massive football weekend?
But it can be anything.
Eddie?
I'm going to have to bring up the Skip Bayless tweet.
And it's not about the tweet because I don't care about that.
But I'm wondering, I'm going to ask you, Bones, because I'm wondering,
with this whole feud with Shannon Sharp
and him missing an episode
because he was so infuriated by the tweet
and now they're doing episodes
fighting about the tweet. They have not let
the tweet go. Where do you stand in this?
I feel like if you were a co-host
in the show, is this part of the show?
Yes, theatrics. Okay.
I also saw the tweet and was like,
boy, I wouldn't tweet that right now.
Of course everybody's going to wonder that,
but I wouldn't tweet that. Timing was terrible,
but we can't get in the business of wanting to cancel people
because their opinions are different than us.
And there's a difference of difference in opinion and actually saying things that hurt people.
Or giving out disinformation when it comes to medical politics, country.
There's a difference in having, Skip Bayless is like, I want to, I understand he's hurt.
And he did say in that initial first tweet, everything else is secondary.
I'm a paraphrase.
But we want to know when they're going to fix this game because this is what.
That's what we're wondering.
And I was like, I would not have tweeted that right now.
But I also was wondering when they were going to play the game.
We all were. Everyone was.
And so people then started trying to cancel him.
That's the worst thing you can do is try to cancel somebody.
He wasn't hurting anyone. He had a bad, he had an opinion that irritated me how it was asked.
But I also wanted to know what he wanted to know.
But I did go, I wouldn't have tweeted that right now.
That's very insensitive.
But I watched the whole clip of him and Shannon going on it.
That's also theatrics.
Okay. That's what I was wondering.
I mean, is your co-host going to be that mad at you that you're not going to show up to work the next day because of a tweety sent?
And then they're just going to keep fighting about it.
And then Skip is going to be like, I'm not taking that tweet down.
This is three, four days of content for these guys.
And Skip doesn't care to be the big mouth bad guy.
He's actually pretty hilarious.
He loves it.
Yes.
And he didn't get on and go, guys, you know what?
COVID's not real.
It's not even a real disease.
That would actually hurt people because if people believed it,
they would live their life differently, it would hurt them.
Correct.
That would be disinformation.
He said, I want to know when the game is.
And I hate that for him.
Everything else is secondary.
But I think we're all wondering when they're going to schedule it.
that's just him having an opinion that's kind of stupid to say right then.
It did make me do that emoji.
It was like,
yeah, timing was bad.
Yes.
I don't think you should cancel it because timing's bad.
But it's mostly theatrics, honestly.
All right. Kevin.
Mine is Lamar and the Ravens.
They are currently 10 and 6 right now.
They're going to make the playoffs,
and they could make a run,
but you don't know what's going on with his health
and his contract,
and does he even play?
Does he want to play?
What's their relationship?
So I'm just kind of anxious to see
how this plays out in the playoffs,
they even care to win a game and how the whole ordeal goes into the offseason?
I forget about the Lamar contract situation because good for him.
He hasn't made it a deal all year.
Yeah, it's awesome.
And he's been on, he's been hurt some, but he hasn't made it a deal.
And he hasn't been hurt so bad that they're going,
I don't know if we can do this.
Because I think we've seen with DAC, and I think we've seen with Matt Coral,
even coming out of college, if you're hurt, but they still feel like,
you'll be fine once you get back.
That's an investment.
Kevin Durant, going to Brooklyn.
Yeah. He's hurt.
He missed the whole year.
But they knew what they were getting.
Of course.
I'm not really worried about the injury.
They're not either.
But shout out to Lamar for not making the whole year about the contract.
As a matter of fact, him in press conferences going, I don't want to talk about the contract.
Like, respect to you guys.
Thank you.
I understand why you have to ask it, but I'm not going to answer any more question about the contract.
He did say it early, not talking about it once we get past this point.
And then he didn't talk about it.
And in this world, that's rare.
So I hope Lamar signs for a whole bunch of money.
And I hope he stays in Baltimore.
And that's all.
And I hope they played really well.
But it's the biggest quarterback going into the off season that we're wondering about, right?
Yeah, it's just not really being talked about right now.
Derek Carr.
There's also Kyler Murray who is just...
No, but he's not going anywhere.
No, no, he's not going anywhere.
I mean, as far as injury, they're saying he may not even start next year.
Yeah, he could miss a year, but he can't go anywhere.
I mean, that is the point there where they're not having...
If they were having to re-sign him after this injury, they may not have.
Oh, yeah.
They were looking for an excuse to not.
sign on.
Exactly.
All right.
Adam.
I love that there's so much heat going on on these number one seeds in the last week of the season.
That's awesome for football.
We got the AFC, bills on the tiebreaker of the chiefs.
They're trying to catch them.
Eagles, Niners, Cowboys, and the NFC, all trying to chase that number one seed.
There's historically 50% of all number one seeds get a Super Bowl appearance.
And so you got a one and two shot of making the Super Bowl if you land the number one seed.
A little Adam stats pre.
Well, he's full of stats.
That's what the guy is.
Everybody always says, that guy is full of stats.
You know, but let me say this.
Nothing is lost on this season
because teams have already clenched the playoffs
and they're jockeying for better spots.
And I say that
because think about college football
and they're like, well, the season would be cheaper.
Well, no.
We'd have more bigger games.
And the Cowboys, the Eagles, the Packers.
Everybody's still playing hard
even though they're already in the playoffs
because they want to get a better seed
to give them a better shot at winning the playoffs.
It keeps the season exciting.
Sure, the Giants aren't going to play their best players
because they're a six.
Who cares?
But think about all the extra teams
that would be in the mix in college
and we'd be talking so much about,
okay, all Wisconsin has to do
is this and this, and if this loot,
that's amazing.
It's more big games.
And also stretch out the NCAA tournament.
They're going, we're going to do 90 teams.
Great.
Let me get a rec team in that.
My wife would hate that.
I mean, I don't know about that.
Hey, that's a lot.
That's a lot.
More games.
Your wife would hate that.
More games.
More games than frowns.
And then my big story is the growth of the Jacksonville Jaguars this season.
They were pretty good with Peterson at the beginning of the year.
Then they got bad.
Then they got really good.
They did the typical stock market of an NFL team that is learning who they are.
Trevor Lawrence, I think in two years,
he really could be that elite quarterback that everybody thought.
I think he's a pretty good quarterback now.
Just kind of flirting a little bit with that next tier up.
And I think they could actually do some damage in the playoffs.
I think their ceiling is winning two games.
Wow.
Which I didn't for a long time, but I think offensively, ETIN, J.
I mean, I could just like list their whole offense.
Thank God for fantasy because I know every single player.
Yes.
But I like Jacksonville.
They're not going to win the Super Bowl.
but I think if you have a really good quarterback,
you have the canvas to paint whatever picture you want
in the league.
And pretty cool.
I'm running for Jacksonville.
I mean, I like the Titans a whole lot
because I'm here in Tennessee and I know a lot of...
But they don't have any sort.
Their ceiling is to just make the playoffs
and lose the first round.
But Vrable does get them ready for these kind of games.
So my story is Jacksonville.
They're playing Saturday night, by the way, tomorrow night.
Man, I hated on Trevor Lawrence,
probably the whole season.
I just wasn't convinced anything he was.
doing. Now, after seeing him like the first, the last three or four weeks, he just looks
comfortable as a quarterback. But that's fair because he sucked for a few weeks. So how you felt was
okay because he did look bad. Yeah. He looked really good and kind of bad. But he looked like
what a first year quarterback would look like with a really good system instead of a second
year quarterback that finally has a system. Yeah, he looks, I mean, dude, he looks comfortable.
And he's scary. And he's fast as crap and he's big. It's great. When you watch him run and
hit the corner, guy can move. Yeah. It's pretty.
cool. She can't turn the ball over.
That's true. Thanks, Coach. All right.
Great motivation. Let's go over. Let's get in some Adam stats. Come on.
We're going to talk about the Jags today.
I'm going to throw some love to Marvin Jones Jr.
He's one of the oldest starting wide receivers in the NFL.
He's also one of 172 players ever in NFL history to get 500 catches.
He's also the only one of those 172 players to never have a fumble.
Oh, he's going to fumble this weekend. Oh, God.
That guy is.
Oh, no.
He's going to lose.
I'm going to lose.
Everybody's going to lose.
Oh, no.
Rhyping of the gym.
Oh, no.
I feel like not a lot of people really know how great
and how consistent he's been through his career because he's been,
because he started his career with the Bengals when they weren't a big story.
Then he went to the Lions, and that's the Jags.
He's like small market Superman.
But, man, you got to love somebody who gets a ball that much and doesn't fumble.
Okay.
Next.
There we go.
College.
Georgia became the first college football playoff team to erase a fourth quarter deficit
of 14 points or more to win.
they did with timely stops,
and they did it from big throws from the mailman.
Here's a stat.
Stetson Bennett's final four drives
of his last two college football playoff games.
Okay, here's the stat line.
Nine for nine,
231 yards, four touchdowns.
That's his last two drives against Ohio State.
Last two drives against Bama last year.
Did you just call him the mailman,
or is that a thing?
That's the thing.
They call him the mailman?
I've never heard that.
I called Carl Malone the mailman,
although I did see a TikTok about Carl Malone
getting a girl pregnant when she was 12.
crazy, dude. You see that?
Yikes.
What? Yeah.
No.
Search it. I don't know if it's true or not. I don't know if I want to.
I think it's... I'm just going to say it because I want to get in trouble.
I don't know if it's true or not, but it looks really true.
It's so crazy that there's no way it can be true.
There's no way. But it might be true.
Anyways, that's a Bennett. Really good. He's got that clutch gene.
Don't question the man because he is ice cold in the fourth quarter. There it is.
Thank you. That's Adam Stats.
That's an Adam Stats. You's got those stats for you.
Quick around the road.
Who will be the Raiders quarterback in 2020?
I can give you some options to think about why you think about it.
Yeah, please.
Tom Brady, Jimmy G, Aaron Rogers, Gardner-Menschu, Jordan Love, draft quarterback.
Position won't be to get one of the top three tier one unless they trade up for it.
Who's going to be the Raiders quarterback in 2023?
Eddie?
I think, I mean, I think Rogers is going to die in Green Bay.
I don't think he'll go to the Raiders.
but it'd be cool to see him get together with Devante Adams to kind of finish it out.
But I don't think that's going to happen.
I think they're going to end up just drafting a quarterback.
I don't see anyone wanting to go to the Raiders.
I don't see anything like that happening.
So I think they're just going to get a draft.
They could actually trade for a good draft pick too.
Yeah, that's true too.
Meaning they're cool.
You know, so yes.
It'd be cool to see Aaron Rogers go and play with Adams, but I just don't think that's going to happen.
Yeah, they could trade Carr for a good pick, I'm assuming.
Is it a free agent?
No.
but trade.
The Raiders.
Yeah.
He's not a free agent.
Going into the next year?
Is he a free?
I thought he had a,
they might have the right to,
um.
Do you want to check it out there, buddy?
I want you let me know, buddy.
Uh,
Adam?
I don't know.
I don't have,
I don't have any,
I don't have any insight to that at all.
I have no idea.
Let's go,
let's go,
let's go, Barry Car.
Say Roger Stauback.
We don't even crap.
Dude, that'd be awesome.
I think it would be an incredible wild card
if, if,
if they went after.
Brady and brought him in. I don't think
that would ever happen, but I'd watch.
Is Brady going to play for five more years? What do we
talking about? He sold like $50 million in Green Bay.
Oh, no, no, I mean, Aaron Rogers, yours. But Brady could.
Brady can leave now. I like that one.
Brady can leave and go to, and he was already rumored to
be going there. Exactly, yeah.
And McDaniels. Brady needs to stop.
No, Brady's still awesome.
Until he's not.
That's true. And he's getting there.
Really close.
His arms looks great. What do you see, Kevin?
I don't see it. So, my fault.
Derek Carr's contract.
I think he might have signed a.
Essentially, actually, last year, didn't he?
I didn't want to challenge it because I don't think I know everything.
I don't know why I heard that.
But I felt like Derek Carr had your head room on his deal.
Anyways, don't mind me.
Okay, I won't.
You know, I'm going to go Jimmy G.
Ooh.
Solid to pretty good.
They have weapons.
They have weapons.
Real weapons.
Yeah, they do.
Two real wide receivers, a real tied in.
Josh Jacobs?
Well, they didn't, who's thinking about Josh Jacobs?
They didn't take his fifth-year option.
Yeah.
Oh.
Like an idiot.
Oh, no.
There's that.
Next up, they announced
Pro Football Hall of Fame finalists
for the class of 2023.
So, I'll read it to you,
just say yes or no.
This is tough.
And you can't say yes on everybody.
Jared Allen from,
what I know, the Vikings,
mostly. He played for the Chiefs and Bears.
But mostly from the Vikings.
Jared Allen.
Yeah, I mean, I think he was a well-known player.
Like, yeah.
You think that's well-known?
I mean, I feel like, what is he,
alignment?
I don't have any stats, too.
by the way, so we're just saying crap, and we don't care if you hit us with him.
What is he a offensive line?
No, defensive end.
Okay, then no, no.
No, no, no.
I have the guy that says no, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
It says no.
I know what he looks like.
That's important.
No, okay.
So you're still going yet?
I'm saying, yeah.
I'm saying, yeah.
You're such a guy in.
I'll say yes, but not yet.
Can we say that?
I can agree with that too.
I was going to go no-ish.
Yeah.
But I'm just going to go no then.
Okay.
I'm going to go no, but I think eventually.
Okay, so it's either this year or no.
Just this year, yes or no?
I'm going to go no as well.
But it's close.
Tough, man.
Eddie, you didn't even know what position he played.
You played quarterback.
I know who he is.
I'm going to go no as well.
Willie Anderson, tackle.
I should take myself off the list
for, we're talking about offensive line,
because you almost need stats.
I don't ever look at the lineman.
Unless they're getting pancakes on a replay.
Otherwise, I just appreciate him
and move on in my life.
Ronde Barber from the Bucks.
Yeah, man.
Okay, you know he's a twin
and his brother's on the morning news show.
Yeah, I've seen him before.
I met him one time.
Well, I asked him if he wanted to be on my podcast
and he said no, and then he kept walking.
He did play for...
He played for 15 years.
Ronde Barber, I'm going to go, no.
No.
Didn't he win a Super Bowl with the Bucks?
Yeah, man.
I'm going to go, yeah.
Dwight Freeny, defensive end,
played the line a little bit, but offensive line.
I'm going to go to Dwight Frenny, yes.
Yes.
I don't know him.
Okay, good.
That's your only indicator.
I don't know him, guys.
Jared Allen, I knew him.
podcast and they're in the Hall of Fame. If you didn't, they're not.
Absolutely, yes. Devin Hester.
Eddie, you first. Don't know who that is.
What does he play?
I'm going yes.
He is the
quintessential return guy. Yeah.
Yeah. Yes. John Bears. Punt return?
Kick return. Kirter? Yeah. Never heard of him.
Adam. Yes, for sure.
Torrey Holt, yes.
Yes. Yes.
You guys said yes. Let us let it ride.
Andre Johnson. Yes. Yes. Absolutely.
I will never forget him punching Cortland Finnegan
the head. It was, that was
work of art. Drell Revis? Yes.
Joe Thomas? Yes.
I would say yes, even as an offensive lineman,
but just because everybody talks about how good he is, I just believe everybody.
Honestly.
Zach Thomas,
linebacker? I loved him.
Me too, but I don't think I'm putting him in the Hall of Fame.
No.
DeMarcus Ware? Yes.
100%.
I'll try to get him line next week or something.
We just saw him a couple weeks ago.
Yeah, he hugged me so hard.
He's a big man. He picked me up on my final dancing with the stars dance
and threw me in the air.
Really?
Yeah.
I'm a friend.
Reggie Wayne?
Yes.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Patrick Willis, 49ers?
Yes.
No.
No that is.
Hall of Fame.
Monster linebacker.
Monster linebacker.
What do you say, Kevin?
I want to say he was good enough, but his career was so short.
It was short, seven years.
So short.
Darren Woodson.
Yes.
Oh, yeah.
100%.
Yeah, I agree with that, too.
All right, there you go.
Jim Harbaugh.
Will he go to the NFL?
Yes.
Yes.
I say that, too.
Sure.
The rumors are.
He doesn't want to coach college anymore.
Really?
I think he's tired of recruiting.
So there's that.
And getting so close.
Coach's update.
I think I'm going to get Barry Odom on from you and I'll be next week.
Nice.
I text him and was like, hey, and so we'll probably get him on next week.
Anybody for the $500?
I have one on the line.
They're just trying to get a time.
Who?
Billy Napier.
From Florida.
Which is one that I tried at the beginning of the season.
Yeah, it was my original.
But then they said, hey, he's too busy during the season.
So I'm like, hey, no excuses.
now. Come on.
I made a phone call to Eddie last night on FaceTime, and I said, Eddie, would you like to go to
Pebble Beach with me for a week and be my caddy?
What?
Because I didn't know.
We got to bring our own caddies to this thing.
And so I am playing in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro Am, January 30th through February 5th.
It's the days leading up in the practice rounds, and then hopefully the four days of the tournament.
But after two, there's a cut.
It's all for sure you get cut.
If I even make it.
You don't know that.
That's all right.
But that being said, you can buy tickets if you want to come.
A.T.PBGolf.com.
It's such a charity deal where they're raising money for all these different places,
which is why we go.
Now, I said, Eddie, it's a week.
Guys, I have four kids.
Right.
Right.
It's a once-in-a-lifetime situation, though.
Guys, I coach basketball.
Keep that in mind.
That's true.
He can't miss.
You don't coach the Clippers.
The Lakers, actually.
No, the Laker bones of nine-year-olds.
But I get it.
All.
kidding aside, I do get it. But for me, this is a once-in-a-lifetime thing.
That's amazing. When I called you last night and said, would you come be my caddy?
Walk me through the emotions.
I said yes immediately. And he goes, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
Yeah, you can't. You don't have the autonomy to do that.
He says, you have to talk to your wife and you have to ask. This is a whole week.
And, you know, be smart about it and ask her see what she thinks and then let me know.
Did you talk to her at all about it?
No, no. I also told him, don't bring it up unless it's a good spot to bring it up.
It's the end of this month.
And my parents are in town, so right now it's just not a good time.
I will find a good spot to bring it up.
But, man, it would be amazing.
And I know you're thinking.
You're like, why would Eddie be your caddy?
Guys, in Bobby's short career, I've been his caddy.
He played one game with Jordan Speath at the Colonial.
Colonial tournament.
And I was the caddy.
Now, was I a great catty?
And he forgot my club sometimes.
He just started walking without the clubs.
You have one job.
Eddie.
And he's like, sorry, man.
I was talking to Speets caddy.
He had Jordan's clubs?
Why don't you have mine?
Man, man.
You got one job.
Dual tasking, multitasking.
There's not a multi.
There's one task.
I was talking to the caddy, man.
But I wouldn't do that.
We go to Pebble Beach, dude.
I mean, that would be, I mean, this is crazy.
Like, think about it.
We went to Cowboys Stadium with Jerry Jones in his helicopter,
watched the Cowboys game, walked on the sidelines.
And now you're talking about playing Pebble Beach, the tournament,
not the golf course.
The tournament?
Dude, I mean, this is just, what world are we living in?
And I'm going to try my hardest to talk to my wife and convince her for me to do this because I really want to.
I really want you to, but if you can't, that's okay.
I just need to move on.
No, not, don't move on yet.
I'm not going to.
I'll give you until the end of the weekend, like Monday.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So I'm also very nervous about playing where I, I'm not a good golfer, but I'm probably like a 12 handicap where I can shoot on a good day, 82.
on a bad day, 95.
So, but I'm very nervous,
and I can do anything in front of tens of thousands of people
perform, sing, comedy, dance, for a million.
But if I play golf in front of two people, I get nervous, so nervous.
I feel judged, and so I've been talking with a guy
who's been giving me Zen tips about golf.
Like mental tips for your game?
He's a former pro golfer,
and he's a musician, but he plays this tournament a bunch.
And he's been messaging me and giving me things to think about.
His name is Joe Horowitz.
That's cool.
Do you want to hear a couple messages he sent me?
Yes.
Because I'm just like, man, I'm nervous about getting out there and just sucking.
And so he'll text me a little what-for's, being like, okay, here you go.
He said, I heard something as a kid and I revisit it when I have anxiety at an event.
Try and surf the waves of nervousness.
They come.
Just know they're coming, right them.
So, like, you're nervous.
you're like, hey, man. It's cool. It is. I'm just riding it up and down. We're nervous.
It's here. And another thing, you said, a thought for balance. He's like, hey, soften the tension
on your whole body by breathing out and feel like you're sinking into your feet before you take
the club back. All right, it's it for the night. But I sent him some videos in my swing.
So I'm like, and Jake's like, oh, come to your house and teach you. And I'm like,
I'm not calling you twice a week to come to my house. Like, you can come to, if you want to,
that'd be awesome because Jake Owen's a really good golf. He's good, right? He's really good.
Oh, yeah, he's awesome.
But I also don't want to call and be like, hey,
can you give me a 30 minute lesson?
So I can't do that.
And as your caddy, I also feel like trying to learn too much
this close to the tournament is not good.
I just need to fix a couple little things
that I don't have to think about,
but I have a few weeks to grind it out.
And then I learn my waves.
I'm riding.
Can I give you a little tip that Russell Henley,
the PGA player told me once?
Go ahead.
you know, you get nervous.
Like, oh, man, like, how do I put?
And he got the golf ball, he threw it.
And I caught it, like, right here, right, right in front of me.
And I was like, okay, what?
Did I have to think about that?
Here, throw it back to me.
I threw it right in the same spot.
Didn't think about it.
You just threw it.
Same thing with a putt.
Don't think about it.
I've been throwing for a lot of my lifetime, though, pretty successfully.
I've been putting pretty successful.
I've been, to be honest with you.
Yeah, I told him.
That's pretty stupid, man.
If you want to come, you get to come and be there
and watch and
I don't know
but there's a lot of celebrities
Jason Bateman
Will Arnett
Eric Church
Alex Smith
Steve Young
McClomore
Larry Fitzgerald
Jake Owen
Ben Rector
I asked Jake
I said hey
can our friend group
play the practice round
one of the practice rounds
together
he's like yeah
so me Jake
Rector maybe Darius
Darius
Darius is going to play
Charles Kelly
I'm gonna be
be scared to death
and if I make
the tournament
it's on
golf channel
and then it goes to CBS
I'm scared.
That's cool.
Don't be scared.
You got this, man.
I'm scared.
That'd be awesome.
ATTPgolf.com.
Would love to see you guys out there if you want to come.
Let's take a second to talk about college football and the fans and the tradition and the glory.
And, well, Draft Kings.
It's my go-to betting.
I love Draft King sportsbook.
One of America's top-rated sportsbook apps.
You're talking about Georgia.
Big favorite.
Will they repeat as champion?
SEC.
Everything about them is like big.
Can they do it again?
But then there's TCU, right?
They weren't even ranked when the season started.
They weren't even in the others getting votes.
So a big underdog, I think America always pulls for the underdog.
So who do you have here?
TCU not expected to get here.
Georgia really expected to get here.
It's up to you.

This is a segment we did about the Eliminator that I'm in.
Here, enjoy this.
This is the last time we get to talk about it because it ends this week.
So here's what's happening, guys.
If I pick the two correct teams, it doesn't even matter if I win it all or not.
minimally, if I pick the two teams, I get $10,000.
Wow.
Minimally, because that's the money based on the people that are left.
So let's say worst case scenario, there are 10 people left, and everybody survives.
That's never happened.
If everybody survives, if I get it right, I'll get $10,000.
It doesn't depend on other people anymore.
Because it's all over after this week.
And I didn't know that.
I didn't know if we're going to roll the playoffs, but I got an email going, it ends, and it's split.
regardless of what happens.
So we're going to do
least worst case scenario
if I get it right, it's $10,000.
It could be more.
Let's say half the people go down.
Yeah.
It's 20 grand.
If eight people go,
because there's not a lot of teams left,
if eight people go down,
it's, my point is
this week, Matt,
this is the money round.
And so if I get these two teams
and these two games right,
minimally, I win $10,000.
Bones, have you made your decision?
After putting it 100.
I just wanted to bring it up again and have this talk with you guys.
So, I have...
This is pressure I would never want.
It is now.
And it's not money that I've spent, so I haven't bet that $100.
And they invest $100.
Wow.
But dude, there were so many people in this.
$900.
The fact that he's made it to the end of the season is unbelievable.
I've done this almost every year.
that I've been watching the NFL,
and it's always over after like week eight or nine.
And it's two picks a week, too.
I've never done a two pick a week.
That's a lot.
So, here's this scenario as they laid it out to me.
If you survive with both teams, you win.
Now, depending on how people survive.
If four survive, that's a lot.
If one survives, it's a whole lot.
But worst case is $10,000 bucks,
if every single person survives.
So that's what I'm doing in my head.
It's a $10,000 a week.
Wow.
Which is crazy.
Now, if nobody survives, the people that got one right will win.
Okay.
And you could still split it if multiple people.
You're a winner.
You're a winner.
If nobody hits both games, that's never happened.
And it won't happen this time.
Somebody will hit both games.
Yeah.
So we're trying to hit them both for $10,000.
This is amazing.
Okay.
Here are the games.
I'm not going to go through all the teams again.
So Jacksonville, to me, looks.
appealing. It's Jacksonville versus the Titans. It's in Jacksonville. So it's Jacksonville
versus Tennessee. It's the Saturday night game at 7.15 p.m. So tomorrow night. So I can't
really change it. Once it's on, it's on. Yeah. So that game is sitting with me because I can do it. Okay.
I have Green Bay as an option. By the way, Jacksonville is a six and a half point favorite versus Tennessee.
Now when I go to Green Bay
Green Bay is playing Detroit in Green Bay
That game is Sunday night
The last game at 720 p.m.
So one of the first and the last one.
You have a full 24 hours.
The problem with that game is
If I do go Green Bay because that's absolutely an option.
The problem is motivations
in both sides
Because there is a chance
That Detroit plays that game
Knowing they cannot get in the playoffs
Because I think the scenario
is the Rams have to beat the Seahawks.
And you may look that up.
Yeah, for Detroit to get in.
The Rams have to beat the Seahawks,
which is probably not going,
probably it's not going to happen.
Probably.
The Seahawks have to beat the Rams,
though, to have a shot.
So the Seahawks are coming in motivated.
The Rams, maybe not.
So I'm going to say the Rams should probably lose that game.
And then you get a Detroit team
who's not playing in the playoffs.
Now, you would think that you'd be like,
well, that's awesome, because it's,
But then if Green Bay knows they don't have to win, do they pull their players?
And then Detroit is just a gritty enough team to try to win that game anyway, even though they can't be in the playoffs, because they're playing for just a good season at this point.
And you have to make that decision before when?
Can you make it Saturday night?
Okay, but here's the thing.
That game is Sunday night.
And if I wait and I don't put my pick in Sunday afternoon, I'm just stuck with that game.
And I'd have to pick one of them.
No, I can't pick Detroit.
I've already picked Detroit, so I'd have to pick Green Bay.
Oh, man, that's tough.
So that's my problem with that game, because it was to me easily Green Bay.
I liked it.
However, odds are Detroit's going to go into that game knowing they can't make the playoffs,
which means Green Bay is going to go into that game knowing they've made the playoffs,
and they don't need to win that game.
That being said, they could pull Rogers and they could play the bunch of second third stringers.
Would you let that factor in?
because to me it didn't until I
thought if they were playing at the same time
it wouldn't which they should be
if they were playing
because they had that ability
in Detroit probably won't be playing for a playoff spot
it's tough so think about that
look man I'll tell you right now
you don't need my opinion but I do I want it
that's why I'm here I can go through more games but go ahead
listen I think you're too into the weeds
in this like motivation factor
that's what's got me here I get it but I mean
at this point
But it's not motivation.
It's literally what teams do when they're already in the playoffs.
They pull their starters.
But teams also like to spoil.
Like, I just think, yes, you're...
But there's no spoiling here.
You have a major concern if they pull their players.
But there's no spoiling option here.
Spoiling is not an option in this scenario at all.
Green Bay will not be a spoiler.
They're not spoiling in it.
The Rams can spoil the Seahawks.
Yes, but absolutely.
That's what I'm saying.
We're like, you don't...
But I wouldn't bet the Rams be the Seahawks,
because the Seahawks also have motivation.
They're trying to get in the playoffs.
Mm-hmm.
You're stuck in that motivation, man.
But if the Seahawks win, the Packers are automatically in?
Hold on. If it were just the Rams versus the Seahawks,
I bet the Seahawks every time.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And it is that.
Because both teams, if anything, I would think the Rams would be less motivated because
it guys know it's their last game.
But who's your boy, dude?
Who's been your boy?
Baker Mayfield.
Not in betting.
God dang.
No, I know.
But, I mean, he's always been your dude.
Yeah, but I don't know about this.
What are you saying?
If the Seahawks win...
You may look it up.
Yeah, that's what I'm wondering right now.
Are the Packers automatically in?
Because I just know that the Packers, if they win, they're in.
I know that.
But what the Seahawks win?
Does that...
Then does it even matter?
Then...
I think Detroit's out, though, so it doesn't matter.
But then do the Packers still have to win?
Is there another caveat they have to clear?
Because if so, just look up Green Bay.
I'm going to tell you another game here.
Okay.
Another one I can bet is New Orleans.
And definitely something to think about here.
Because New Orleans, they're a three and a half point favorite in New Orleans versus Carolina.
That could be a win.
I just don't want to go down at the death of Carolina who I've been like, hang with them, hang with them.
That's true irony.
Yeah.
And they've been hanging around.
The Colts are playing the Texans.
If there's anybody but the Texans, I'd say absolutely not.
Same.
I do feel like the Colts really still want to win.
and I think the Texans, though, could be playing for a playoff, a better draft position.
Yeah, I agree.
Why win?
There does nothing for them.
Except maybe gives them a little boost going in the next year.
Again, but the Colts are bad.
It's hard to bet on a bad team and almost bit the butt with Atlanta last week doing that crap.
Okay.
Pittsburgh.
Now, this one's meaty.
M-E-A-T-Y, M-T-P-Pisburg in Pittsburgh versus Cleveland.
Cleveland played really well last week.
week. It's only a two and a half point spread.
So they expect the game
to be close. Finally,
the Jets
versus Miami who's playing
with a quarterback, Skyler,
who sounds like he's in a boy band.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Last thinger. Last thing's on Teddy
is he's still in question. But the Jets are
not playing for a playoff spot, and Miami
at least is, and that game is at Miami,
and the Jets are a one-point favorite.
That's a pick-um, basically.
Yeah. I don't want to get in the pick-um land.
So it's, first of all, would you guys go with Jacksonville over Tennessee?
Yes.
Yeah.
100%.
Of all these, is that the one, because I feel like that's the one I should go with.
Yes.
I sign off on that one just because Jacksonville's on a roll.
Tennessee's broken.
Well, in the other options, so I feel the best about the options.
Agree.
Because I don't, I wish I had other options.
I know.
And that's the thing.
Like, you know Mike Vrabble's going to have him ready to go.
I know, and he does this crap.
That's the thing.
They weren't playing for anything, for sure, the Jags.
but they are playing for something
and Mike Vrable does show up
and he does scheme
but you're slim pickings here
right to be honest
so to me it's not that
I'm just so in love with Jacksonville
instead of all the options
that's the easiest one I feel like
and I may miss it but I feel like that's the one
I have to take yeah I would take yeah
I feel like that's the only clear
okay I feel okay about this
okay so we're not doing the jets
of the options I gave we're not doing the jets
I don't want to do New Orleans
so it's going to leave us either
green bed
Indianapolis over the Texans
or Pittsburgh over the
Browns. Now remember this is a $10,000
game minimally.
It's like we're on a game show here.
So what do you see about the
Green Bay scenario? Packers'
playoff hopes come down to
getting their sixth consecutive win at home.
I'm trying to figure out it.
I think they just control their own destiny.
Yeah. I'm trying to figure out if they
lose, if they still get in.
I believe they're out.
I believe they're out.
Yeah, they're the only NFC team that controls its own destiny
But what if they lose?
They're out.
That's big.
Are you sure?
Because that is a big, that's a major factor.
Yeah.
I just can't have them showing up to that game knowing that they don't have to play to win to get in.
The Seahawks, when you look at the NFC, what's the way the Seahawks get in?
Right?
We can look at the other teams.
Like, does somebody need the Packers to lose?
Okay, so hold on.
So if Green Bay and Seattle both beat their rivals on Sunday, the tiebreaker,
goes to the Packers.
Okay.
So even if the Seahawks win,
the Packers still have to win,
but they're the ones that are in.
But if the Seahawks lose,
then Detroit's playing for a championship,
playing for the,
and then Green Bay has to win it.
So Green Bay has to win.
Yeah, yes.
So we have, okay, I'm not even going to say we have.
So, okay.
It's either Green Bay,
Indianapolis, or Pittsburgh.
Now, when it comes to Indian, Texas,
does that one factor in as much as the Green Bay game?
Which one, Indian Texans?
Yeah, just because, you know, it's just tough for me to bet on a bad team regardless.
I know.
I want to cut that one.
Yeah.
I know we kind of went through this already, but when I found out this was the money game for sure,
I wanted to bring it back up.
Yeah.
The Pittsburgh game is interesting because Pittsburgh's playing for a playoff spot too.
So it's Pittsburgh or Green Bay, and Pittsburgh's playing Cleveland.
And Tomlin always has those guys ready, right?
Like variable?
But I think I said this the other day.
I'll take Rogers over picket any day.
Based on the quarterback, I feel I'm leaning that way too.
I just, I really want Eddie to say Pittsburgh.
I don't think I'm going to go Pittsburgh.
Dude, I've been running this scenario in my head, and I just don't think I can go Pittsburgh.
I mean, I want you to say Pittsburgh because I don't know what's Green Bay.
Just so you can do that?
Well, now I can't do that.
That's messed up, dude.
Okay, okay, but you're going to go.
I'm going to Packers.
Like day one.
I'm going to commit to it now.
I'm going to push safe picks.
I can always log back in and go through the process.
It's hard to change.
I can change it if I need to.
Save picks.
Jacksonville and Green Bay.
So Saturday night
and late Sunday night.
And if Jacksonville wins that first game,
I'm going to be watching that Sunday night game.
Full butt pucker.
Oh yeah. Your Sunday is going to be puckered
the whole day.
And if Mike, what are you laughing at?
This is so exciting. I can't wait to see this play out.
But Jacksonville's got a winner. It doesn't matter.
Right.
man I would love to see some teams go down
Can you see who everybody else picks or not?
I can see who they've picked
I can't see who they pick
until the game starts and it's locked
because they don't want you making your picks
based on what other people are picking
so whenever it's the reveal
the game starts all kick off you can't change it
Broom revealed
So are we looking at week 18
like a bunch of teams will be sitting players
Oh yeah if they're automatically
And it can't change really their
Yeah like the Giants
Yeah or if they have somebody who's kind of in
and they can't change much.
Yes.
But I don't expect Brady to play.
No.
Very little, if at all,
because they really can't change much.
But you picked the Falcons.
No, last week.
Right, right.
Oh, you did pick the Falcons already.
Last week.
Yeah.
They won with a field goal.
I was like, they're terrible teams.
I bet them, and I did.
And then they barely won.
I can't do that crap.
All right.
I like it.
Yeah, dude.
Hey, you got this.
I'm not playing.
But it feels like.
You got this.
This is my Super Bowl gambling here.
This is amazing.
I like it.
So the Jacksonville game, man, what if I just went to the Jackson?
Oh, I can't.
Go to the game?
You go to both of these games for the first time ever.
I'm always going to a Jaguars game?
Like fly to Green Bay.
Goes up in a Jersey.
He's got everything on.
I got a Trevor Lawrence wig.
Okay, it is what it is.
We're in.
We've all set our piece.
If I do hit, we'll all go to dinner.
I love it.
Let's go.
what I can do it for you.
That's all on this.
Everybody good?
Yeah, man.
Okay, so that was a segment.
We just recorded a little bit ago.
I got it for the money.
Basically $10,000.
If the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Packers win,
those two teams win, I win at least $10,000.
Oh, my gosh.
Come on.
What's the most you could win?
In for $100.
Close to $90,000.
Oh, my God.
But teams have to be eliminated.
The more teams are eliminated,
the more money it is.
But this is a for sure game.
It's amazing.
Adam didn't hear the segment, so he's asking,
we're back all of us together.
All right, in thoughts.
Guys, final thought of the week here.
Mine's about Madden football because it's in the news
where the franchise mode's messed up.
And I lost an entire team that I've been working on for months,
my franchise mode.
What's the news where you saw that, Kevin?
Because when Madden makes the news,
I get pretty excited, but I'm actually affected by it.
Yeah, it's not good.
Not for a good thing.
This says that during some cleanups that they were doing of a bug,
it wouldn't allow players to log into their franchise last month
and developers somehow corrupted the save files on the servers,
and it wiped out,
currently projecting around 40% of the leagues to be recovered, and that's it.
And you guys didn't laugh and get you laughing and be like, oh, that's hilarious.
But no, it's a hobby of mine.
It's like me building a ship in a bottle, and somebody comes over and just shakes it and breaks some stuff and walks off.
You won't find me laughing at you, you do.
That's not cool.
I spent a lot of time putting that dang ship together in a bottle.
And everyone says, from what I'm reading here, I don't play Madden like you guys do,
but they all say, I pretty much play Madden now just for this.
That's the only reason I play Madden.
Yeah.
Is to play with my friends.
We have a league.
We put money on it.
We played season payout to the winner.
And otherwise, I wouldn't play.
I don't want to just play randoms online.
It's just young kids who yell the N-word.
Oh, my gosh.
Over and over again.
It's like they're not nine.
Terrible.
I don't ever play anybody online as I'm my friend.
So, yes, I'm very upset.
That's my story.
They always, you're trash, man.
I'm not trash.
I'm a good person.
I'm a grown man.
Yeah, I'll whoop you.
Where's your model?
Eddie?
So I'm proud of my nine-year-old son, guys.
He came up to me.
That was pretty awesome, man.
So with my kids, when they turned
13, I want to take them to a trip.
Like, wherever you want to go, for whatever reason, I want to take you there.
It's kind of like you're about to be a man.
Like, I want you to pick and we're going to go and I'm going to take you there.
So my older son, you want to go to L.A.
It got postponed because of COVID, but we will.
We will do that.
And then my 9-year-old, he's been talking about it.
And he says, I think I've decided where I wanted to go.
And I'm between two places.
Do I go to New York City?
Because it looks cool.
Yeah.
Or should I go to Ohio to go to the NFL,
Hall of Fame.
Oh, that's cool.
And I was like, wow.
I felt good as a dad thinking like, man, that's a tough one, son.
You're like, son, NFL Hall of Fame is really what you should strive for.
Forget the culture of the theater, the arts, sports, a lot of New York City.
Yes.
But then I did tell him like, okay, well, once we're done with the Hall of Fame, though,
where are we going to go to Chili's?
Like, we're in Canton, Ohio.
So I don't know.
Let's think about it a little more.
Adam.
Bowl season has sucked this year, you guys.
I haven't been interested in any of the bowl games outside of the normal ball games,
which is kind of weird for me because I love eat, breathe, sleep, college football.
But one of my favorite things that happened was Tulane upset in USC.
Okay, that was one of my favorite things, the entire bowl season.
Crazy ending to that game.
I said before, I thought that Tulane was really going to show up for that game
and that USC was going to show up and act like they should have owned the place.
And they should have owned the place, but they didn't.
And it was a lot of fun for us to watch.
Kevin.
That was a crazy comeback.
I know this is a football podcast,
but I'm going to go to baseball real quick, actually.
I love my Red Sox,
and it's been a horrible offseason so far.
We've lost a lot of guys,
Exander Bogart, JD Martinez.
But yesterday or Wednesday,
they came out with some great news
that Raphael Devers is staying for an 11-year,
$331 million deal,
and I'm very excited about that.
It's a lot of money.
11 years.
Good for him.
If you can get it, get it.
Yeah.
Yeah, it's a lot, man.
Dang.
Who's that guy that still gets paid?
Bobby Vanilla.
That's awesome, dude.
It's the contract I want.
You guys, thank you for listening.
Hope you have a great weekend.
We'll see you on Monday.
Kevin, blow us.
Out.
See you guys.
