When a group of women discover
they've all dated the same prolific con artist,
they take matters into their own hands.
I vowed, I will be his last target.
He is not going to get away with this.
He's going to get what he deserves.
We always say that trust your girlfriends.
Listen to the girlfriends.
Trust me, babe.
On the IHart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
I'm Ikew, I got you.
And I'm I go one.
My next guest, it's Will Ferrell.
My dad gave me the best advice ever.
He goes, just give it a shot.
But if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit.
If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration.
It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat.
Just hang in there.
Yeah, it would not be.
Right, it wouldn't be that.
There's a lot of luck.

On a recent episode of the podcast, Money and Wealth with John Hobriant, I sit down with Tiffany the budgetista Aliche to talk about what it really takes to take control of your money.
What would that look like in our families if everyone was able to pass on wealth to the people when they're no longer here?
We break down budgeting, financial discipline, and how to build real wealth, starting with the mindset shifts.
Too many of us were never, ever taught.
If you've ever felt you didn't get the memo on money, this conversation is for you to hear more.

You know Joe from Godfather 3, Bugsy,
Joan of Arcadia and the franchise on Paramount Plus and CBS, Criminal Minds.
He's here to talk about the newest season of Criminal Minds,
and we'll also touch on elements of his career that not only touch acting, but touch music.
Let's welcome to Take It a Walk, the great actor, Joe Montenia.
Hi, Joe.
Hi, Buzz.
Thanks for being on.
Congratulations on Criminal Minds, another season streaming now.
But Paramount Plus, congrats.
Thank you very much.
Can you take us inside going back to what you can tell us about the development of such a successful franchise, such as criminal minds?
How did this magic occur?
Yeah, boy, if I knew that answer, I'd create another one myself, you know.
Sometimes it's hard to say.
You know, in other words, you put all these elements together and you hope for the best.
You know, it's like saying, why did the Beatles become the Beatles and other bands before guys didn't.
You know, it's a combination of things.
I mean, it was obviously an interesting idea when the first came about, you know, over, you know,
almost 20 years ago now when the original series first started.
And you put this all together, you tell these stories.
It's an interesting premise about the behavior analysis unit of the FBI, which is a real organization.
And you get good writers and you tell these stories, and it's going to click or it isn't.
And in this instance, it really has close things.
It's equipped worldwide because it shows on the planet.
And that's why they brought us back.
As to why that is or how that is, it's a combination of things
and a formula that worked every time,
then every shell would be that successful.
You'd give it their best shot and hope for the past.
Did you embed at the beginning with the behavioral analysis unit
to really own the role as you have?
I did spend time in Chronicle.
Yeah, I've been there numerous times.
And so, yeah, for any role you want to do, you want to do as much research as possible,
especially when you're portraying something that really exists.
So, yeah, and I mean, so it was very helpful to work with the real FBI.
And every episode, we always have a technical advice that's connected with the FBI with us.
And like I said, I spent time at Chronicle numerous times.
So at the end of the day, we're creating a television, some dramatic license would take.
But a lot of it is embedded in honest kind of day-to-day.
what these men and women have to do every day.
God bless them for doing it, you know.
And you have publicly, you know,
expressed your support in this day and age,
obviously, for the great work of law enforcement, right?
Absolutely.
I'm a huge supporter of our military and our law enforcement
because, like, I,
because I'm not a big guy political in terms of politics.
My feeling is politics, thank God we live in a country where we can,
you know, we have the ability to go out and vote.
And in some countries don't.
My feeling is how I feel about my politics is my business, as it's as yours, as everybody else.
You go vote as you want to.
But in terms of the men and women who have been law enforcement and their military, people in uniform,
these are people who have to do their job, and politics don't get involved there.
And that's why I'm happy to lead that parade wherever they would want me to go
in terms of supporting these people to do these jobs that I don't have to do them in real life.
because these are the people that come home at night, you know,
and God bless them for what they do.
Amen, amen.
You know, you've had a career that has touched the musical spectrum
in certain instances.
Your time on Broadway, obviously, your first appearance in hair.
You covered the work of Dean Martin and Elvis.
Can you explain to me the feeling that, you know,
with a movie or a franchise such as Criminal Minds,
when you look at that first round to edits and the music's incorporated to really, you know,
bring the richness of each episode?
Yeah, the music is a vital importance.
And we've been very blessed to have incredible music, especially with criminal minds.
I mean, on all the, you know, 15 seasons we did initially,
I thought the music people did a really great job.
There was actually a brother team that was involved.
And now with the new version, the Revolution, it's a whole new, you know,
music thing, but this is just as tremendous.
I know we have well thought of in the industry of the show.
And, yes, it's very important.
Both in film and television, it plays a huge part for when it's done right.
It just is a huge asset.
Where does your favorite music expand personally?
God, it runs the gamut.
I mean, I do love that.
I mean, to this day, I still love,
well, anybody watches Criminal Mind,
they saw that one of my character got married around season.
around 14 or 15, I had Johnny Mathis as my best man, and that wasn't by accident,
because I'd love as a singer ever since I was a kid, and I loved the rap act, that's why I love
making that movie, but I was also in a band in the 60 for me. I mean, the Beatles, I got to
know Ringo in real life, and that's what, again, people watch Criminal Minds, they notice
on my desk as my character is a shot of me with Ringo that people go, oh, look, is David
Rossi with Ringo, which, which, in the storyline,
of the show is actually a possibility
because of my character. But anyway,
it runs the gamut. I watch
somebody who's in the movie
TV business, I actually listen to music more
than I watch television to watch movies.
So music is very, very important
to me, and all different variations
of it. Jazz,
rock and roll,
crooners, you name it,
it runs the gamut. You have to
tell me what an experience
it was to be alongside
Warren Beatty
and play George Raft
and the amazing movie, Bugsie.
Oh, yeah, that was great.
Well, you know, that was a great experience.
Barry Lovenson, first of all,
is a tremendous director.
I got to work with him again in Liberty Heights later on.
Warren is an incredible human being,
you know, just very smart,
very giving.
A lot of great memories just off-camera,
you know, spending time at Warren
and the rest of the cast.
Ben Kingsley was in that movie as well.
Harvey,
I tell. It was just a wonderful film.
And again, I think I give very loved it to a lot of credit, great film directors.
And it was just good experiences.
You've worked with so many amazing people.
Are there people that are on your wish list to work with either in the future with criminal minds or with any other projects?
Well, you know, as you said, I've been very blessed.
I've worked with the best.
I've worked with, you know, Coppola.
You know, I've done a couple of pictures with Woody Allen.
I've done David Mamet, my association with him over the years has been great.
So, I mean, I've been very blessed.
I mean, you know, there's a lot of people.
You know, I never know who you're going to work with next,
and it's always a surprise.
I work with some of the great, you know, Robert Redfern's a gamut of all different types of actors and actresses.
And I'd love something maybe if you'd get to work with Martin Scorsese.
He would be all thrilled because both being Italian-Americans,
He certainly was somebody I've admired all my life.
That would be great.
But I'm content with the way my career is gone and where it's going to go.
I never look too far ahead.
My feeling is, let's see what happens tomorrow.
I feel blessed for today and for all yesterday.
One of the lucky ones without close to.
Well, I know you're a Cubs fan, Ed Hart,
and you've done work with the bleacher bums,
and you look closely at the work of your Cubs.
any handicapping where the future of the Cubs will be.
And did they do wrong with Ronnie Woo-Woo Wickers?
Yeah, Ronnie Woo-Woo.
Oh, boy, yeah, he was a character.
You know, I conceived I play Bleacher Bums back in 1977,
and Ronnie was certainly memorialized in that play as well.
It was part of an institution at Wrigley Field.
But, yeah, I mean, once a Cubs fan, always a Cubs fan.
I mean, I even co-produce a show called Hollywood
and Ivy where we interview
Celebrity Cubs fans,
and on the Marquis Network
out of Chicago
who carried the Cubs games.
And yeah,
but, you know,
it took us 108 years
to get a World Series,
and I'm glad I was still alive
and my mother who lived
to be 100 or 1.
She just made it.
She was 100 years old
when they won that series,
and they had been on a seven-year
losing street,
and she was hard for me to ask
for more than that.
I mean, in other words,
hopefully the Cup
got a lot more of World Series
in the future,
but if not,
I'll take the one I got
since it took 100 years
to get the
under nature. Trio. Woo-hoo. Trio. Right. Right. My God. Listen.
Bovey-Boo. I love it. It's an honor to speak with you. I'm a major fan of your work, Joe.
Congrats on Criminal Minds streaming on Paramount Plus, the great Joe Montania. Thank you for your time.
It's our pleasure. Thank you.
