Hey guys,
hope you had a good weekend.
Morning studio.
Morning.
Good to see everybody's lovely.
Faces.
There's a woman and she was stung by a jellyfish.
She almost died.
Stung in the butt.
Eddie, you spent a lot of time at the beach growing up.
You ever get stung by a jellyfish?
Yes, a couple times.
But people have to pee on you.
That's kind of what they say is how you treat that wound.
Did anybody ever pee on you?
No, what they did, though, is they peed in a bottle, didn't tell me they peed in a bottle.
They said, oh, I have jellyfish solution.
No, they did it.
Yeah, and they rubbed it all over my leg.
Who is they?
This is my family's friends.
This was when I was maybe six or seven.
seven years old and I'm like, oh great, and they rubbed their pee all over my leg.
This is a legitimate story?
Legitimate story.
And after they rubbed the pee on my leg, it stopped hurting.
Uh, Miss England Padgette contestant, her name's Patricia.
She was left hospitalized for two days after being stung on the butt by a deadly box jellyfish.
She said the pain from the sting was so unbearable that it felt like someone poured hot boiling water on her body.
Wow.
And then her skin started to melt.
Oh.
That's awful.
I don't know what the box jellyfish is, but we on Breaking Bobby Bones, which you can watch on Disney Plus,
We caught jellyfish by accident.
We were trying to catch fish.
We had a whole boat full of them.
And when they were in the boat, we grabbed them.
We just threw them out.
Just touched them.
You had gloves on, though, right?
Yeah, but you could, they were grabbing them without gloves.
Whoa.
But yeah, nobody got stung.
Do you have to grab them in the right spot?
Not me.
I just grabbed them and chucked them out the boat.
We didn't kill them.
Right, I don't know.
Like a lot of fishermen, when they drag him in, they kill them.
Yeah.
We kind of put them back in the water.
But that's the episode we did when I was in San Francisco.
And we went.
Hallibut fishing.
Yeah.
And I got so, I vomited for two days.
I get so seasick.
Like, we were on a boat in the middle of the ocean.
Wadoosh, whatoosh.
And I would have to lay down every 30 minutes on my back because I was vomiting.
And then on camera, they caught me once just letting it rip.
At any point, did you feel okay on the boat or were we just nauseous the entire time?
I was nauseous until I lay down.
They were always like, look at the horizon.
My body was still messed up.
So I would lay down back on the boat.
But that's why I don't want to go on a cruise because I don't want to get out there.
That's not that choppy, but.
Yeah, but the risk reward of me going, I want to do a cruise, paying whatever a cruise costs, I'm sure isn't cheap.
And then I'm stuck out there and I'm motion sick the whole time.
Yeah.
Sounds miserable.
Who's done a cruise?
I have.
Oh, a lot of you guys have.
Morgan, do you get motion sick at all?
Yeah, I did.
I took geramamine and I had a patch on the whole time and I was fine.
So I was the first day and I was like, oh, this is going to be miserable.
But then we put the patch on and I have my sea legs for days.
I'll go on a cruise on Bezos's new yacht.
Oh, yeah, me too.
I'll go with you.
That thing looks awesome.
Let's talk to Kimber in Alaska, who has called.
Hey, Kimber, what's going on?
Thank you for calling.
Good morning, studio.
Morning.
Hey, I have a question for lunchbox.
I'm just looking for an update on your acting classes.
Oh, acting classes.
They are supposed to start up next week.
So, yeah, next Wednesday, I believe, is the first class of the year.
So you haven't been acting in a while?
No, they take a break because of holidays and people traveling, and so they take a little while to get rebooted in the new year.
But now you can go to them in person.
No, apparently it's still online
Why not go in person now?
I don't make the rules of the place
And you're still paying a monthly?
Yes.
And what do you pay to take class?
I think it's $300 a month?
Oh my.
A month?
Yeah.
To learn how much?
Have you been auditioning anywhere?
Not yet.
Like, how are you going to get your money back?
How many months have you done this acting class?
Like 14 months.
You've paid $300 a month for 14 months?
What is that?
Yeah.
Oh my gosh.
And you haven't auditioned for anything to try to be good?
And it's all been on...
Zoom.
So now I'm starting to wonder...
You just read scripts from old TV show?
This is a scam.
Is this even real?
Like, it's just someone from their house that's like...
Oh my good, man.
Well, guys obviously, Amy, they're from their house because we're on Zoom.
You're spent $4,200 on acting classes.
Yeah.
They're not making it in person yet because they don't have a building.
They don't have an office.
They don't have a place to take you.
They probably can't even act.
They're not real.
They're acting like a good teacher here.
Wow. Do you think you've been scammed?
No.
You've been a little bit?
Why haven't you auditioned for anything?
You've been doing it for over a year?
Well, because I still feel like I haven't advanced enough in my acting.
I thought you won an award or something.
No, I got a nominated.
I didn't get nominated?
No.
Everybody that pays the month.
They didn't get nominated?
No.
I think it's a scam.
How can it be a scam?
Like a scam?
Because all you do is get together and read a script from Parks and Rec and Call it Today.
And you're paying.
You can do that with yourself.
Yeah, you and your wife can just read lines to each other.
And that'd be free.
And we're in February.
What happened to January?
Well, so you get instruction from that.
Yes.
So how to, what's the feedback you've received?
I mean, I can go back and pull it up, but it's just different acting roles like, oh, you could done this.
Well, you weren't that believable.
Didn't feel the emotion.
Needed more, you know, sincerity.
You sounded a little rushed.
Things like that.
I want to go over to Scoob of Steve, our executive producer, because he spent a lot of time in Los Angeles.
Oh, here we go.
He's an expert in acting.
I actually am because I went to.
I went to the school of Growlings, which is a very credible school.
Will Ferrell, Jimmy Fallon.
A lot of people went there, improv school.
And they charge you, I think it's like $2.50 for almost a few months forth the classes.
And you're actually learning from people in the industry and you're on stage.
You're practicing.
It's a legit business.
So he's $300 a month for Zoom.
For Zoom?
And you still act like that.
Like, holy, I mean, geez, dude.
To read a script from everybody loves Raymond.
Yes.
No, we haven't done that one.
I think it's a scan.
just based on my personal experience.
And there's lots of scams in these acting classes.
What credentials does your teacher have?
She did some acting in college.
So did Morgan, yeah.
Wow.
Wow.
Okay.
She did some acting in college.
Yeah.
And she, I mean, listen, if you can make the money, make it.
What's the name of this cool?
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
Well, just tell me.
No.
You ain't trying to get into my class?
Amy pops into the class.
She doesn't want any of course.
Amy, did you act?
I've done a movie
Okay
I've done four episodes
of Nashville
Yeah
With lines
So you could be qualified
To host an acting class
I don't know
Do you feel like
You could teach people
How to act
I can make 300 bucks
A month from a lot of folks
That's for sure
How many people are in your class
There's like 12 to 15
So
And we're not even on the top level
And that's just
You have to move up
Do you pay more when you move up
I don't know if you move up
You pay more
Or if you just get more
One-on-one like
teaching
I feel like he's been taking advantage.
Yeah, me too.
I feel bad for him.
Now I've gone from being like, oh, ha, ha, ha, to you're being duped.
How can I be being duped?
I mean, they're up front with what they offer, and I've been taking the classes,
and I'm learning, I'm getting better, and I'm chasing dreams.
Okay, keep chasing.
Yes.
If it's giving you a dream, you can't put a price tag on that, can you?
No, you can't?
Because, I mean, how much George Clooney get paid a movie?
50 million?
Okay.
Oh, yeah.
I'll make money back.
It's true.
All right.
Let's open up the mailbag.
You send an email and we read it on the air.
It's something we call Bobby's Mailbag.
Yeah.
Hello, Bobby Bones.
My coworker and I were recently walking in a public parking garage and found some cash.
$300.
We looked around and there was no one in the garage.
I say we split the money.
Call it a day.
My coworker wanted to contact.
the parking garage manager
to see if there were cameras
and find the person.
To me, that's like finding a needle and a haystack.
Even if they see the person, how are they going to find them?
I said, we walked the garage in a couple hours,
see if anyone was looking when they come back
and if we find them, we'll give them the money.
Am I wrong to say we just keep the cash?
We didn't see anyone drop it. No one was even around.
I would love your thoughts. Signed OR.
Okay, lunchbox I go to you first. I know what you're going to say,
but let's just get this out of the way.
That money goes in your pocket.
spend it, have a nice night out, take a little vacation because cash is cash in a parking garage.
You don't turn it in. It's yours. Money's gone. Sorry.
What vacation do you go on?
Whatever a weekend. Get away to a cabin in the woods.
How much was it? $300. For $150 each.
Oh, $150.
Yeah. I mean, it's your money. You don't turn it in at all. There's no point in that.
So you say money's gone. Sorry. If I find cash goes in my pocket.
Amy?
No, you take it to whoever's the mall, security garage.
and you say, hey, I found this.
Because I would think if someone dropped it,
that's the first place they would go to say,
hey, has any money been turned in?
It's difficult because, like, on a debit card,
someone's name would be on it.
But if it was a debit card,
you would turn it in, and that's money.
So, like, this is the same thing.
Someone dropped money.
Like, that's a lot of money to drop when you're shopping
so they probably needed it for something.
I would turn it in.
And if the person never comes to claim it,
oh, well, who cares?
I did the right thing.
I would lean a little more into money gone sorry.
But here's what I would do.
I would not turn it in because it's cash, because that person can just keep it.
I would say, I would go to that person, whomever the parking garage manager,
and I'd go to probably some manager in the mall, or wherever it is.
He'd go like, hey, did anyone report missing money?
If so, how much?
And if they match and they say, yes, somebody lost $300.
Okay, let's get this back to them.
Yeah.
But only if they specifically said they lost $300.
Oh.
And I would check then, and then I would call back in 24 hours.
and check again.
Then once nobody said yes, money gone.
Sorry.
Sorry, sucker.
Yeah.
But I wouldn't just put it in my pocket.
I would make the calls.
But anybody could take that money.
So I would say, you go, you say, hey, I found some money.
I need to know who, and where do they lose it?
I need to know how much where they lost it.
But sometimes you don't know where you lose something.
But you know where you were.
But you don't know exactly when it dropped out of your pocket.
But you know where you were.
Y'all.
Okay.
Ish.
this just made me think of something
though that's in that person's favor
because maybe they didn't know
they dropped it in the parking garage
so they never called to report it missing
in the parking garage.
Then they'll never get it back to them.
That's why you keep that money.
I would go and say, hey, we found some money.
If the person, you tell me how much is missing,
we're willing to give it back.
And then we're going to call back in 24 hours.
I just don't want anything to do with it
because then the next time...
This is not the cartel, Amy.
Amy thinks it's like finding $10,000 in your house.
That's different.
Yes, that's different.
That you turn in because you're going to die.
Okay.
Yeah, the cartel's not worried about $300.
Because if I lose something like that, I would want somebody to turn it in somewhere.
And if you reported it in exactly how much and it matched, you give the money back.
If not, I'm not letting some guy, some manager keep the money for himself because that's what would happen.
Okay.
So we go two to one, keep the money.
Yeah.
But different levels.
Lunchbox says don't check in.
I say check in.
I don't even bother checking in.
You say just give it back.
Just give it back because like better safe.
then sorry sorry hey by the way is there ever a time that we can talk about
what was what was sent to your house no never I still want to know me too I
don't know when you're supposed to check in but it's not now it was March yeah
oh it is next month yeah so what happened was Amy was sent something and then
she told me about it we were gonna talk about it and she goes I probably
shouldn't then I our security guy told me I shouldn't really and then I said okay
so we've delayed it months and months and
He knows.
He would know.
He said just don't.
It's not worth it.
Like, why would you, don't do it?
Like, even if.
But Amy was sent something to our house.
What is it by?
We'll just send it in, like, do the mail bag.
It was sent to our mailbox.
Like, we have a mailbox.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Yeah.
And then we brought it home because we picked up the mail.
Yeah.
So the mailman delivered this?
No, we have like a mailbox at UPS.
Oh.
That's where we have a lot of stuff sent to avoid things being sent to our house.
And we picked it up lots of packages at times and brought it home and opened up one of the packages and was like,
well, this.
This is interesting.
What was it?
I can't say it.
The date is March 1st when we're supposed to check back in.
Okay.
So not quite a month, but we'll check back in.
And it's a short month, 28 days.
Yeah.
So on March 1st, we'll fill it out.
Check your temperature on it.
Okay.
Okay.
All right, that's the mailbag.
If you want to email us, Morgan, what's the address?
Mailbag at Bobbybones.com.
All right, thank you guys.
We've got your email and we've read it on the air.
Now it's time to close Bobby's mailbag.
Yeah.
On the phone, Rob in Virginia.
Rob, what's going on, buddy?
Hey, Bobby.
I have a quick question since you have a couple of your staff that have adopted kids.
Sure.
We've adopted five, and we did the 23 and me DNA testing for them, but we knew both of their parents, all of their parents.
We currently have a five-year-old that we're getting ready to adopt.
We know who the mother is, but it's never came out who the father is.
My question is, would they consider doing a DNA test or should we, or would they wait until he turns 18?
Both Amy and Eddie have adopted children.
Amy, I'll go to you first.
Oh, I don't know.
This is something that's their story, their information.
I don't know.
What is it when you're testing kids in that way?
I'm not sure.
I think that that could be something they could test once they're old enough to know what's happening and if they want to find out.
Or if you do happen to find out, then you keep that information to yourself until they start to get inquisitive about it.
Eddie?
Yeah, fortunately for us, we know who the parents are.
So we've got all that information ready to go.
Like Amy said, when they start getting curious and they want to know about it, it's their life.
You know, I'm assuming that at some point they're going to come up to us and say, hey, I want to know more about my family.
Where are they?
Who are they?
And we'll have it ready to go.
And my daughter's 14.
She does want to know more about her family history.
She's even asked to do something like 23 and Me or Ancestry.com.
Like she's like, I want to get results because honestly, we know that both the birth moms.
They have different moms.
But as for the dads, they're not on any birth certificates.
They're not anywhere.
And so I explained to her that someone in her family in Haiti would have to also do the tests, right,
for them to be in a database somewhere.
Yes. You mean like if she was looking for a parent, that parent would also need to do a test.
Right. Just because she does a test doesn't mean results come in. But she could maybe find other family members or something.
You know what could be useful, and I haven't adopted kids, but I don't know my family history medically.
Because my dad pieced out when I was young. We didn't go to the doctor. We really couldn't afford the doctor.
My mom died, you know, when she was 46. So the stuff that,
I'm dealing with now when I go in and they're like, hey, do you have any family history of this or that? And my answer is always, I have no idea. Because I don't have anybody to ask. And I don't know on my biological father's side of the family what's been going on over there. So I don't know. And I've had some, not in the past nine months to a year, but right before that, some really serious stuff happened where they said, hey, we need to know about your family history, didn't know how to diagnose this. And I had no answer for them.
So the one thing that I would say is that you could learn, you could learn, Rob.
And that way, if anything happened to your kid and you needed that information,
you would have that as a resource to reach out and find out if there is any medical information you should know.
Like something that runs in the family.
I don't know that it's six.
You go, hey, here's who your dad is.
No.
But the only way I'm approaching this is from my story where I don't know a lot of my medical history.
And it would be so useful at times because it would help me stay healthier.
So maybe it's good to learn, have that information as it just in case.
And then if they want to find out when they get older, you can kind of lead them on the right path.
And there's all kinds of curiosity things that come up.
I don't know how old your kids are.
But Bobby makes an excellent point.
And until he said it, I forgot that my daughter even mentioned at some point.
We were doing a physical and there was questions about that.
And she said one of the points was family history.
I have no idea what is going on with my body and what maybe my parents had.
But, yeah, so, yeah, Bobby said, you could find out so that you know how to best protect your kid,
but they don't probably need to know until they really can make that decision for themselves.
All right, Rob.
Well, I appreciate your feedback.
Thank you very much.
By the way, big shout out to you five.
Yeah, for changing a lot of lives.
Yeah, it's pretty cool.
I mean, I have.
And they all come from pretty rough backgrounds.
But my oldest is graduating from college this year, and I'm really proud of her.
And I have a 21-year-old and a 5-year-old, and they range in the middle between.
Amazing.
We appreciate that.
I appreciate you, Rob.
Thanks for calling.
I hope we helped you out a little bit.
Thank you for your show.
All right.
See you, buddy.
Have a good day now.

It's time for the good news.
With Bobby.
Tell me something good.
A convenience store manager is crediting his dog with saving lives during a show.
shoot out with armed robbers.
Security video shows the two men rushing
into a convenience store in Philly with guns drawn.
The store manager, Sammy,
says one of them pointed a gun as employee.
That's when his dog jumped on the suspect.
The clerk then pulled out a gun
and fired. The first suspect is seen
running away, but the second one shoots at the
clerk multiple times. Police confirmed
the employee was shot a few times. He's being treated.
The store manager says his dog.
The dog's name is Bullet. Wow.
Prevented the situation from turning deadly, though.
That's crazy. His name's Bullet.
Irony.
That's pretty crazy.
Sammy believes that if bullet hadn't jumped on the would-be robber,
the clerk would have been shot before he was able to fire his gun.
He says the dog saved their lives.
That's so cool.
Bullet saved him from bullets.
Look at that.
Yeah, bullet from bullets.
That's a great story.
That's awesome for that dog.
That's what it's all about.
That was Tell Me Something Good.

Okay, so walk me through this. You're at a restaurant with your kids.
I go to the bathroom on my way back. We haven't ordered yet. And I see this salad and I'm like,
I don't remember seeing like something like that on the menu. So I just stop on my way back.
She's sitting next to us and I say, hey, do you mind telling me what salad that is? And so she told me
and I went and I sat back down and my kids were like, why wouldn't you just ask the waiter?
And I was like, well, I don't know.
I didn't think of that.
I didn't think that stopping her to talk to her about her salad and that it looked good was a problem.
And they just, like, they're not wrong.
I probably should have just asked the waiter.
But then I would have been like, oh, hey, waiter, you see her salad right over there?
No, no, that one.
Can you tell me what that is and he would have to look?
So I don't know.
They were just embarrassed because I stopped and talked to somebody.
So the question is, is it weird or is it acceptable to stop and ask somebody what they're eating at a restaurant?
Yeah, because, I mean, this could happen to anybody any time.
kids or not, like, would you do that?
If something looked real good.
I would not, but I don't think you were wrong.
I would not.
Yeah.
I wouldn't be like, hey, sir, you really are giving that chicken fried steak to business.
What exactly is that that you're having there?
I don't think so, because when someone's eating, I kind of feel like it's their time.
Like, I feel like if someone stopped and asked if I was eating, I would be flattered.
And I wouldn't have a problem with it either.
I'd be like, oh, great, this is pork chop.
I'm like, oh, yeah, I like what I got.
I'd compare it to taking pictures randomly, meaning I never want to ask you.
anybody to take a picture. If Caitlin and I want to get a picture
and I don't want to stop it even be like,
would you mind taking a picture? However, if someone asked me,
I'll do it all day long every day. I have no problem stopping
and taking a picture of someone. But I just don't want to
put people out for any reason whatsoever.
I would not do it, but I think you're okay.
I think you read the room.
If they're not like in a crying conversation
or a fight with her significant other.
True. You know?
Excuse me.
We were at dinner the other night and there was a couple
fighting right next to us at dinner. Oh no.
Really awkward. What were they fighting about?
Did you hear it all? Yeah, yeah, yeah. He didn't
want to go spend the holidays with her mom next year because they had just finished.
And it was not good. And he didn't think he should have to go and put himself through that again.
And they were being pretty controlled and quiet. We were right next to them. And they were
fighting in nice voices. They were like, yeah, but you know, sometimes I just, I don't even like to be
around her. She makes me. And Caitlin and I'm like, oh, boy, this is some good stuff. But is it
lunchbox, would you stop? I've done it before, Amy. I'm all about it. If I see something I'd like,
I need to know what it is, make sure I get it.
So just stop at the table.
Hey, what did you get to eat there?
They're probably like, yeah, that means I have good taste.
So I think it's okay.
I think generally people are okay with it.
I just wouldn't.
Eddie, would you stop somebody?
I have family members that do this all the time.
And I'm just like, why don't you just ask the waiter?
You could ask the waiter.
Ask the server because they know more than that person.
What if that person's like, I don't know.
My wife ordered for me.
I have no idea what I'm eating.
You know, you can just go cut right to the chase and ask the server.
Do you ever order a wine at dinner?
Yeah.
Do you do the thing where they pour
I've never ordered wine dinner
Right? Obviously
Do they pour a little bit in there and you taste it?
Yes
And then you go yeah good
Have you ever, has anyone ever tasted it?
It's been like, yeah, not for me.
I guess if you know what you're talking about
And it's not what you thought it was going to be
But if you're at Olive Garden
Don't you just drink the wine?
I don't know if they do it at Olive Garden
It's usually a fancy place that does that.
Or maybe it's if you're getting
If you paid for the whole bottle
For the table
whoever order. So like say if you've got a group of girlfriends, you may order a bottle because
that's going to end up cheaper for you if everybody has some instead of everyone ordering an individual
glass. So whoever orders it, they'll let that person be the sampler.
But isn't that just a thing you do? No one ever sends it back. Has anyone ever seen anyone send wine back?
No. But I bet servers know people. They could, listeners right now are like, oh yeah, I've had people
return it and it's awkward. Just asking. It's time to play the few.
All right, they've pulled 2,000 adults in America.

Now guess it.
No, I would guess Survivor.
That's not going to be on there, guys.
I don't know if it's critically acclaimed enough.
I don't know if enough people watched it,
but one of my favorite shows,
all time. The wire.
Show me the wire.

It's the longest running.
It's the Simpsons. Oh, gosh. That's it.
Show me the Simpsons.
Yeah! Oh my goodness! This is all coming from the Dove, too.
I haven't written anything in. I didn't even ride anything down. I'm just going through
my memory bank. I'm going through the memory bank.
We can't catch them, right?
It's over.
It's over, buddy.
You might have on this point.
You should just point.
Oh, my goodness.
How many points do you have now?

Okay.
Two answers left on the board.
Oh, my goodness.
Okay.
Well, now I'm cheering for you.
Thank you, man.
I appreciate you that.
I turned the momentum around.
Let's see.
What else is the greatest TV shows of all time?
There are two answers.
Friends in Seinfeld at one and two.
Game of Thrones at three.
You don't have four yet.
Yeah.
The offense, mash, the Simpsons, the Wire, and the Sopranos.
Go to nine.
You don't have ten yet.
Oh, I don't have ten yet.
I don't have ten yet.
I don't have 10 yet.

Show me the Duke's a Hazard.
Eddie?
I should just retire.
All right.
I mean, I have Fresh Prince of Bel Air.
I don't know if that's on there.
Fresh Prince?
Yeah.
One more round, Amy.
Golden girls?
Golden girls.
I'm going to go back over to Eddie.
Ted Lassow.
Show me, Ted Lassow.
Lunchbox, you get the last guess because you're going to win.
Come on, dude. Come on.
I know, I want to end it on a ding.
I want to end it on a ding. I want to end it on a ding.
I'm just trying to think.
That's what she said.
Let me go through my...
I already said the office, both.
Like, I've already said the office.
What else is big on these TV platforms?
I don't know.
I didn't watch many of these shows.
Stupid.
Hey, don't beat yourself up.
No, say smart.
Ah, stupid, Beverly Hills 90210.
Um, um,
Leverton Shirley!
Oh no.
That's how you ended?
Yeah, people love that show.
Right, is that a show?
Yeah.
He still won, but in a way.
Oh, don't even, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, don't in a way.
That's a bad way to go.
Oh, that's a good.
Cheers.
Can I guess, can we guess, oh,
to go ahead and guess to him.
He are?
Family guy.
Oh.
Oh.
But with 38 points, lunchboxes is.
Big winner. Nice job, dominating.
Yeah.
And they stay there!
And they stay there!
Shout up to all the
scoffs.
What you're talking about?
You both when I said the wire, you went phew!
Mike D. saw the new Jackass movie with Johnny Knoxville.
It's called Jackass.
Forever.
Didn't they even die in this one? Because they're all like 60, right?
No, but they all got very hurt.
A lot of hospital visits.
Really?
Yeah.
Is it good?
It's funny, but it is hard to watch because they are in their 50s, and you worry for them,
like, there's going to be some long-lasting effects from this.
They're in their 50s still doing stunts.
Oh, my gosh.
Cringe or hilarious?
Hilarious.
It's funny.
Jackass was funny to me, but I didn't like it when they would fall.
I didn't either.
That show was massive on MTV back in the day, and then it turned into movies.
Morgan, did you ever experience Jackass?
I watched it some, but not, like, I guess, the phenomena of it or whatever.
It was like jackass Tom Green, Beavis and Butthead.
MTV was crushing back in the day.
You give it what?
Four out of five broken ribs.
Wow!
Did you watch in the theater?
Yeah.
Is it in theater or just streaming?
In theaters, yeah.
Is it streaming at all?
No, only in theaters.
Okay.
All right, so four out of five broken ribs.
I don't even like talking about that.
It's a rating.
That hurts me to hear broken ribs.
The Babo Show.
Here's Amy's pile of stories.
Well, you know, we always have those stories where people are trying to see.
car and then they look back in the back seat and they're like, oh, shoot, there's kids in here.
So they abandon it or whatever.
Well, a mom of four in New Orleans has created a magnet to put on your cars.
It says, don't carjack me.
Kids inside.
I just don't want to be driving around with that.
I don't know.
I want to be driving around with that.
That's funny, but I would just get one of those.
Like when you get a sign to put outside, they goes, crazy security system.
And that's your security system?
Apparently they're going to be $10 each and proceeds are going to go to extracurricular.
programs in lower income areas.
So there is some, it's like funny, but also might help you out, but also does some good.
I like it.
What else?
So if you're wondering, why are we so obsessed with the 90s right now?
I think because the millennials didn't get to experience it and now they're reliving it.
Well, apparently, this time that we're living in is just not so fun to be a part of because
there's so much going on that's just, you know, they want a distraction from it.
let's go to a better time.
Let's go back to the 90s.
So that's why we're seeing a lot of 90s-inspired things, like everywhere.
Were the 90s so good?
Yes, 90s were fun.
I think there's just nostalgia attached.
Nostalgia is a false sense of how good the times were based on distance from it.
I'm going to read a quote here.
It says that younger generations turn to nostalgia.
Younger generations turn to nostalgia during times of economic.
and social of people.
Dang, Bones. Nailed it.
Look at you. That was it. Professor Bones.
Well, but nostalgia is, though, a false sense of how good times used to be.
Yes.
I remember one time...
I got beat up a lot in the 90s. I'll be honest with you.
And I love the 90s, but 90s were not good for me.
Yeah. But even you...
These kids, they don't know the nostalgia of the 90s.
They just are going off what they think.
Like the time I took a train ride from Southern Pines, North Carolina, to D.C.,
I was looking for a break, and I wanted to take the train because I thought the
nostalgia of the train, because it was...
going to be this amazing experience. Fancy, I'd go have a meal in the meal cart. And it was awful.
It was actually pretty miserable. The meal cart was like powdered eggs on a paper plate.
And I was like, what? I'm in my dress. Where's the china? Like what? Because I just saw this
olden days I'm taking the train up to D.C. And I'm shady crowd. I didn't want to sleep. I didn't want to close
my eyes. I was wishing I'd paid the extra money for a little cart of my own.
You should do the covered wagon one next. Oh, yeah. It's going to get really nostalgic.
So why George Strait passed on recording Tennessee whiskey?
It's something he was offered back in the 80s, but he said, eh, not for me.
You know, they pitched that to me in the 80s.
I think it was around 85 or 84 or something, and I just didn't.
Wasn't your thing?
I missed it, yeah.
He didn't resonate with it.
So I feel like maybe he's more of a Texas tequila guy.
Nice.
What if you're done?
Yo, as smooth.
is Texas
barbecue
There you go
Yeah
But that song
I'm cut a bunch of times
Yeah
David Alico
George Jones
and Chris Dapleton
Yeah
So when Chris Daibleton
Finally
It was the third time
But he cut it as a cover
It was never a radio single
By the way
Wow
Just played it on the CMAs
Bleu up
Wala
Are I did Amy
Yep
I'm Amy
That's my pile
That was Amy's pile
Of stories
It's time for the good news
With Amy
Tell me something good
This teacher, Maria, works in middle school in the Bronx.
And one morning she's walking up to class, she decided she was going to get the kids some donuts.
And she had her arms full.
She's on the phone with her mom.
Headphones in.
And this man just comes up to her and says, hey, excuse me, are you a teacher?
And she said, yeah, why?
He pulled out 50 bucks, put it on top of the donut box.
He said, these donuts are on me.
And then he just walked away.
She was like, what?
This random act from a stranger, because, of course, a lot of teachers, they pay out of their own pocket when they like to surprise their
kids with stuff. So she took to Twitter and said, I don't know who this man is, but I hopes he
hopes he sees his post and he knows that he brought a lot of joy to some middle schoolers in the
Bronx. That's pretty cool. Also, those donuts don't cost 50 bucks, do they? Well, I think he was also
just trying to do. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Inflation, man. Who knows? I know. Lunchbox,
you still get your free donuts from your vaccination card? No, years over, man. Oh, is it man?
Yeah, 2021. It ended New Year's Eve. Can't go anymore. Oh, how many times did you go?
I probably went 50 in the 50s.
Oh my gosh.
And got a free donut every day?
Yeah.
I didn't hit it every day, but, man, 50 solid days.
And it was a free glazed donut from crystal cream.
And they just know you about day 20?
Yep.
Of course they made jokes.
And here he comes.
There comes donut, man.
Donut guy.
And sometimes, go out and trash.
What?
Okay.
Amy, that's a great story.
It's just a small gesture by somebody really made a big difference in someone's day.
Yeah.
That's what it's all about.
That was Tell Me Something Good.
Hey, thank you guys for waking up with us.
Thanks for hanging out.
You know, this time, every morning, Amy tells a corny joke.
This bit started as a joke.
Then people loved it, and we continued to do it, and it's one of our highest rated segments.
So here is The Morning Corny.
The Morning Corny!
Why should you never date a tennis player?
Why should you never date a tennis player?
Because love means nothing to them.
That was the morning corny.
That's pretty good.
Tell that one on the courts.
That's pretty good.
They say if you feel anxious, you should watch ASMR videos.
ASMR, and I'm going to try to describe it poorly,
it's something that is done every day,
but the volume is turned all the way up and you're listening to it.
Not loud, but it amplified, like whispered.
or like card shuffling.
Oh, right, right, right.
Would you say that's a good description of it?
Mm-hmm.
Okay, so, ASMR videos can reduce anxiety for those who experience it.
Autonomous sensory meridian response is what ASMR stands for.
It's a tingly feeling known to promote well-being, relaxation, and sleep.
Whoa.
Here is an ASMR video.
It's a lady using wooden blocks to help you fall asleep.
Listen closely.
I'm not.
It's creepy.
It feels creepy.
It feels creepy. It's the whispering.
The whispering feels creepy.
Yeah.
He's sweaty.
He goes, I'm sweaty.
She didn't say that.
She didn't say that at all.
Why did she say I'm sweaty?
Ray, play that again.
At the very beginning.
I'm so sweaty here.
That's what she just said.
That's this one here.
That's this one here.
Yeah, see, you're hearing that because that's what you're feeling.
That's called PERV.
Not ASMR.
What is PERV?
Perma.
You got it.
Oh.
That was clever.
Okay.
This is a different one for anxiety.
It's another woman using random objects and talking about them.
But again, remember, the microphone is turned all the way up.
So you have to be really quiet.
Okay, here we go.
What color is this liquid?
What is in this bottle?
What is in this cube?
There's water.
Notice this is a cube and this is a type of cylinder.
These inside are water.
This cube's water is filled up all the way.
These things have millions of views.
I know.
Weirdos.
Weirdos are listening to this.
Is it weirdos?
There's obviously scientifically something too.
You guys didn't like her saying that that's a cylinder and there's water.
Okay, well, he's through their catering to.
This is the demo.
Like, you guys didn't like that?
Really?
I mean, everybody has different sensory things and so this, I, this would not work for me.
I mean, I like her talking about the cube and the cylinder and there's water in both.
I mean, I thought that's pretty good.
But you like the whispering.
Yeah, I think I do.
So is that what they do?
So it's turned, like you said, it's turned all the way up to where it's picking up all the little things, like in their breath and the little thing.
Yeah, the breath is good.
Is anyone into this for any reason other than lunchbox reason?
Other than lunchbox reason?
Does anyone listen to ASMR stuff and actually find it relaxing?
No?
Because it stresses me out.
My son was watching unwrapping videos, and I know that it helped him relax.
And it's like they would do close-ups of them peeling the plastic off the screen.
And he would hear, and he loved it.
And he watched hundreds of them.
I can watch that.
I can watch that.
I'm intrigued about what's in there.
Yeah.
I like, one of the best feelings is when you get an iPhone,
you peel that film off of it, that phone.
That's a good one.
That's what he liked about it.
Yeah, that's a good one.
I'd watch a video of that.
Yeah, but that's not lunchbox's reason.
It's the, I don't like all the mouth sound effects.
What if it was a dude?
Close your eyes.
Close your eyes.
No, no.
Close them.
Oh, gosh.
Oh, gosh.
Hey, buddy, I got some water in the cylinder.
You don't like that?
No.
No.
Okay.
No, what do you do to fall asleep?
If you can't fall asleep, what do you do?
I put on my ocean at my Noismaker app and I listen to rain or ocean and I just lay there and try to count sometimes, breathe, and then hopefully I fall asleep.
I will listen to Bill Simmons.
It's a podcast I like, but I listen to when I go to sleep because they don't yell.
He doesn't yell.
And they talk about a lot of really in-depth NBA basketball.
And sometimes I'm like, you know, I don't care who the things.
third guard is, but I can follow us. I enjoy it and I fall asleep. I do the call map some,
but I've listened to all the good stories on that one. I also sometimes envision. You finish beauty
and the beast? Yeah. Do you like it? Yeah, it turns out the dude wasn't a beast after all. Yeah.
Put a spell on them. Poor fella. What do you do for sleep? I have a book that I've had for about
a year. It's like a marriage counseling book. I read it for about one page and then go out that quick,
huh? Very fast. Once you don't need anything. No, if there's the rare occasion on any of it,
I count the sheep jumping over the moon, the cows jumping over the moon.
Morgan, what do you do?
I watch organization videos.
So you have a video thing too, like some sort of, yeah.
Yeah, like, and I don't know if it's an ASMR thing because it's not sensory, but I like organization things.
Like it helps my OCD.
What's that word again?
ASMR.
No, no, the kind of videos you like?
Organization.
At first, it was organization.
Organization.
And how do you say the pasta we like to talk about?
Italian.
Italian.

Pop Culture Quiz in about 30 seconds.
See if you know what's happened
over the weekend and over the last week.
By the way, you can watch us on Facebook.
Just go now.
We're live.
You can watch us in studio.
We're all here.
We have cameras all over the room.
Watch.
Maybe record it.
Watch the recording when you go to sleep.
ASMR.
Watch this.
That's nice.
It's the Bobby Bone Show.
We do the whole show in ASMR.
Oh, gosh.
All right, let's do the pop culture quiz.
Amy, here we go.
Let's see it.
At five of these.
Okay.
It's just trying to keep you in touch.
I know.
I just kind of disconnected a little this weekend, but let's see what I got.
What football game was played yesterday?
Over the weekend.
The Pro Bowl.
Nice.
Wow.
How did you know that?
Because y'all mentioned that on like Friday or Thursday.
We did?
The Pro Bowl sucks.
In here, yeah, because we were talking about Draft Kings and it was like.
Oh, yeah.
I did bet a DART game.
Remember in the punchout?
I lost.
You did?
Oh, man.
Yeah, I lost it.
I bet dart throwing in England, just to be funny.
What company announced they'll be raising subscription prices this year?
Netflix.
No, Amazon.
Oh, yeah.
But Netflix did too.
I got an email.
But subscription, okay.
Hey, that one is debatable because I got an email.
My Netflix prices are going up, and so is my Amazon Prime account.
You are correct.
Hey, that's my baby.
All right.
Go ahead.
That's your best baby.
Over the weekend, though, Amazon announced their subscriptions.
The membership price is going way up.
Yeah, like, what do they say, $169 or something?
Whoa.
Yeah, it's, it wasn't like Netflix when they get you for a dollar.
And you're like, well, it's only a dollar.
Yeah, this is a pretty heavy hike.
Netflix has been doing a dollar for like every month.
Yeah.
It came out.
It's expensive now.
It's like boiling a frog.
What's that?
You were talking about that last week.
Okay.
I don't remember.
Now, you can boil a frog to death if you put it into just normal water that it likes and slowly turn the heat up.
It will,
feel like it's just fine.
That's it.
And that's how you boil a frog.
You don't just throw it up to super hot because it'll jump out.
But with a frog, you can turn it up slowly until a boil.
And the frog's like, I'm just chilling.
Nothing's really changing here.
And then blackout.
That's what Netflix does with us.
Next thing you know, our whole mortgage is going to Netflix.
I get the analogy, but then I'm thinking of a boiled frog.
I know.
Poor frog.
We got on Amazon yesterday and we bought a card shuffler.
We play so much cards at the house.
You're intense.
You're like my grandma.
Well, Kailen has blisters on her hands from
shuffling all the time. We play this nerds game. And so she's like, I have blisters. And I'm like,
they have got to have. So $13 on Amazon, we bought a card shuffler. That's awesome. It won't get here
for like three weeks. But yeah, that's what we were doing. On there's a, on my Instagram, Mr. Bobby
Bones, you can see a video of me shuffling. Cool. Yeah, I know. Check that out. I know. Go look at it.
All right. Next up, Amy Tom Brady announced his retirement after a 22-year career. We talked about that.
What number did you wear?
Come on, Amy.
I know he played for 22 years.
Yeah, I just said that in that question.
So that's not the question.
Because that's the only number that I can...
I'm going to say this.
I know he's won seven Super Bowls.
TB...
Oh, good one.
TBD?
No.
Tom Brady, but he has a company, a brand.
He does?
TB 44.
TB...
TB 2.
TV.
Your answer is?
TB 33.
A quarterback wouldn't wear number 33.
Well, why?
Quarterbacks only were
numbers in a certain range.
Which are? Give me the range.
I don't think they go over 20.
1 to 19.
All right. Eight.
12.
Okay.
I don't have no idea.
The Winter Olympics are happening in what city?
Yeah.
Beijing?
Yeah.
I watched the Russians win the gold medal, but I watch them fall.
A couple.
Did you guess they?
Oh, I did see that.
Yes.
That's like someone racking himself on a bike.
After I turn my head like, oh.
I mean, he was holding her up and then they slammed into the ice.
They still won the gold medal, but that's tough.
It's tough for me to watch as I get older especially, somebody fall.
You know, as you get older, two things you don't want to do.
You don't want to fall and you don't be picked up.
You just want to be stable on the ground.
Because if you fall, it hurts worse.
And if you get picked up, you're like, why are you picking me up?
I'm an adult.
Put me back down.
We had a guy, Big D, that works here on our radio station.
Yeah, Wayne D.
Oh, yeah.
He changed his name.
Sorry, he's going to get sued by another big D.
Came in a start of picking people up the other day without hearing this segment.
And I'm like, you're that guy.
You're the guy that comes down and starts picking people up.
So was that Russia, they fell?
Yeah, Russia fell.
They're not Russia.
They're the, IOC or whatever they are.
I know, they kept to wear.
ROC, Russian Olympic Committee.
And their uniforms are just Russian colors with the Olympic rings.
They're like, well, Russia, you can't, you've been.
Doping.
You know, doping.
So you can't compete.
So you can't.
They're like, well, we kind of have a name that's Russia?
Okay, well, you can be, they're like, well, can Putin come?
Well, yeah, he can come and sit in there too.
Do you see him fall asleep?
Yes, especially during the Ukraine team.
Amy, name three artists performing at the Super Bowl.
Half-time show.
Okay, Eminem, Dr. Dr. Dre.
Eminem, Dr. Dre and Snoop.
Kendrick Lamar, Mary Jay Blige will also be performing.
There you go.
There's also a deaf rapper from.
from Detroit who's rapping.
I didn't know who he was, but I thought it was cool.
That is cool.
Like, how do you rap?
If you can't hear, I'm sure he's feeling.
Yeah, vibrations.
But I'm pretty excited to see that.
You passed the pop culture quiz.
Thank you.
Although there really wasn't a pass fail.
You went a scholarship to lunchbox he's acting class.
On Zoom.
Okay, yay.
Which is more than some school, some literal colleges.
It's time for the good news.
With producer Eddie.
Tell me something good.
Sulto, he's a firefighter in California, and he takes the day off because him, his son, and his dad are all going to the NFC championship game.
The Rams versus the 49ers.
They're all pumped.
They're on their way to the game.
And he drives by a house and he sees smoke.
And oh my gosh, there's fire.
You can't see that with a firefighter in the truck.
He goes, I got to help.
He pulls the car over.
He gets out.
He says, oh my gosh, this is a big fire.
So he knocks on all the neighbor's doors, says, hey, grab ladders, grab water hoses, whatever.
I'm going in because they're telling me there's an old lady in there.
So he goes in the house, looks for the old lady, finds her.
She's on the second story with her dog.
He looks out the window.
Yeah, the neighbors, they got ladders out.
So he climbs out with the lady and the dog saves them.
Now he's like, crap, I smell like smoke.
He goes homes, takes a shower, and they go to the game.
He saves the old lady and the dog, and he gets to go to the game with his dad and his son.
Pretty baller move to carry the old lady out.
Yeah.
I wonder if you could go down the stairs and like walked with her.
Well, no, no, no.
They had to take the ladder.
They had to take the ladder out of the window.
Yes.
Because he went up through the stairs.
Correct.
But they didn't want to go, because it got so bad.
You're thinking too much about it.
But also dangerous to go down a ladder with an old lake on your shoulder.
Yeah, but he asked the neighbors on the way in.
He's like, grab ladders and they did.
Was it like a piggyback down the ladder?
No.
I don't like to be carried piggybacked either.
Even over a shoulder, that hurts.
Yeah.
It was the last time you did that.
Yeah.
Yeah, really.
I don't know.
Yeah.
But I don't like it.
You know what?
The older I get, the less like to be picked up in general.
No one likes to be picked up.
Sometimes I pick Kayla.
I pick Caitlin.
That was another throw over my shoulder.
But I don't like to be picked up anymore for any reason.
Sometimes when people drink too much at a bar, they're all like, there he is.
And they pick people up.
Like, no one likes to be picked up.
Yeah.
You don't like to, as you get older, you like to be picked up less and fall less.
Yes.
It's not as funny when you're older for either one of those.
I don't mind being picked up.
You don't?
No.
When's the last time you got picked up?
I don't know, but I wouldn't bother me.
Yeah, you'd be pretty easy to pick up.
Yeah.
Let's all try picking and Amy up.
What a weird segment this would be.
Okay.
Good times.
All right, that's what it's all about right there.
That was Tell Me Something Good.
All right, let's do the news.
Bobby's B.
Stories.
According to a new study, people who ate most types of fruits and vegetables
improve their short-term and long-term memory over a period of time.
If you can't remember anything, they're saying it's food reading.
If you're consistently eating fruits and vegetables,
you will start to see noticeable changes in your overall memory.
Specifically, researchers found that people who ate leafy greens and dark berries
benefited more than any other group.
So if you're starting to go, you ever walk into a room and go,
why am I here?
Yes.
Nor do I remember really getting here.
Sometimes I drive and do that too, where I'm like, well.
Don't remember getting here.
That's scary.
And I'm at the place that I was going, but I don't remember any of the driving part of it to get there.
Right.
And I'm like, well, look at me.
I made it subconsciously.
I drove.
And then I'm going, I hope nobody else is doing this.
I trust me to drive like that.
Oh, but nobody else?
But nobody else.
Also in the news.
Pages just like together.
Sharna Burgess expecting a baby.
Oh, yes.
With Brian Austin-Ree.
That's what I was talking about.
That's that I knew.
Celebrity baby.
Sharna Burgess and Brian Austin Green are expecting a baby.
They confirmed in pictures.
And the pictures taken in Hawaii, Brian was seen wrapping his arms around Sharna while cradling her baby bump.
This is from E-Online.
For those that don't know the relationship, Sharna was my dance partner on Dancing with the Stars.
And we were lucky enough to win that show together.
And it will be Brian's fifth kid, Sharnas first.
Interesting.
I had just talked to show.
Her dad passed away.
And so I reached out to her and was like, hey, I saw about your dad.
And, you know, I know Sharna pretty well.
And then the next day it was like, boom, baby.
And I was like, well, I just talked to her.
Give it some time.
You know, there's no, she doesn't need another call from me.
I think she knows in my heart.
Like, so I may reach after the next couple days.
But, I mean, I had just finished talking with her.
And then it was like, broop.
And she didn't say anything about that.
Hey, tip me off here, you know?
Give me the heads up.
I'm not going to spoil it.
But yeah, congratulations to Sharna.
And then finally, they wonder if some COVID sufferers will lose their sense of smell or taste forever.
And if some won't get all of it back.
And I do want to go to Morgan on this because you are lacking your smell and have been for how long?
Oh, man.
Six months at least, yeah.
Are you getting it back at all?
Moments?
Like, I'll get really excited if I smell something.
I'm like, oh, it's coming back.
And then it's gone again.
So no and yes?
The great thing would be your boyfriend being able to fart.
It not matter?
Like really.
Well, she would have to lose her hearing too.
No, you just make sure it's not loud.
I'm not saying this to be crass or gross,
but imagine the power you have if you're a girlfriend,
because I'm sure it's different if it's a wife, you just do what you do.
But your girlfriend can't smell it.
Okay.
That's the two things.
That would be good for him.
Also, the bad thing for you other than not being able to smell things you like to smell,
You can't tell if you stink.
Yeah.
You can't tell if you have body odor.
Oh, it's become a regular thing that I have to put my armpit up to him and be like, do I smell okay today?
You make him check you?
I don't have a choice.
I'm like, I don't know.
You do, though.
You do.
I mean, I know I'm putting on deodor and stuff.
She does have a choice.
How else?
No, she can just go, like, clean herself.
Well, I am clean, but, you know, like when you go outside and you're just like, I don't know.
I clean myself too.
And sometimes I'm like, well, I smell funky, even though I clean myself.
Yeah.
Wow. I just, I don't know. I don't have that. I mean, I get it. Every relationship is different. But I could not see myself walking up to anybody and being like, do I smell?
So it's a give take, right? He gives, he gets to pass gas and I have to worry about her smelling it. The take is he has to smell her armpits.
So he does. It works out. Yes. But they say, in many cases, when you lose your sense or smell, they're finding that a small percentage of those folks may never get it bad. That's awful.
especially if it were taste.
If you were to say I'm going to rob you of your taste forever,
that would just, that would be heartbreaking.
I mean, there's so much joy from food, and it's no longer there.
I wonder if I would only eat to fuel if I lost my taste.
Yeah.
I think so.
If I would only go, all I need is grilled chicken and kale.
Like, I would really be, and then I'd be all ripped.
And they'd be like, dang, do I used so ripped and fit.
I'd be like COVID.
I can't taste anything.
All right, that's the news.
Bobby's Big.
Stories.
All right, let's talk to Josh in Alabama, who is on the phone right now.
Josh, what's going on, buddy?
Hey, what's going on, Bobby?
Good morning, studio.
Morning.
My son and my wife, they love your show.
We listen to you all the way in, and today you guys are talking about AMSR.
And my son was saying, Daddy, you need to call in and tell them what we watch.
him and my wife watch
Bob Ross to fall asleep.
The painter.
Yes.
And why do you watch that?
They'll take an episode
and watch it on YouTube
and turn it down
and they both love it.
What does that show do?
Is he super calm?
Yes, he talks very calmly.
You want to add pastel colors to this?
That sounds pervy.
How you're doing it.
Not him.
That's how he does it.
How you're doing it, that sounds creepy.
All right, Josh, I appreciate that.
What's your son's name?
Carson.
Well, tell Carson we say hello.
Appreciate you guys listening.
All right, thank you.
All right, buddy.
See you later.
See it.
Let's go to Eric in Indiana, who's listening?
Eric, appreciate you.
What's going on?
Hey, good morning.
How are you guys doing?
Doing pretty good, man.
Thank you.
Hey, I just kind of wanted to hit you guys.
You guys were talking about the $300 that you guys found in the parking garage.
I had a similar story.
me and my wife were at K-Martz and we found $400.
And she spotted it as I spotted it, but she picked it up.
And we were up in the air of how we're going to return it.
And I said, well, nobody's around.
And so I told her, I said she wanted to give it back to management.
And I said, well, we'll never see that money.
It'll never get back.
So we ended up going to church that Sunday.
And I passed her the collection plate and she put it in the collection plate and gave it back to God.
Good for you guys.
That's one way to do it.
That way you know it's being put to use.
Yeah, that's a good thing.
Yeah.
I would struggle.
You would make, would you do 10%?
I'd probably just wait a minute.
Okay.
What are you waiting for?
though. I don't know. Just wait. I would just, like I said earlier, I think I would go and say,
hey, who's missing money? And if nobody's missing, if somebody's missing money, I want to know how much.
I'm not just, I don't want somebody to give me, yeah, I'm missing money. But how much? $400 exactly?
Okay, here you go. If it's not, if it's like 80 bucks, I'm like, well, that person's lying.
I may keep half and then give half to church or pass it out to homeless guys on the corner.
But I probably get a finder's fee.
I'll be honest with you.
I'll probably can't take a little bit of finder's fee
and have a lunch or something.
Yeah. A little chunk.
Yeah, I can't act like I'm better than I am.
But that's great.
Hey, Eric, I appreciate that story, man.
Good for you guys.
You guys did the absolute right thing.
Yeah.
It was when you guys said that, I was, like, laughing the whole time.
And that sounds like me and my wife when we found our money.
Yeah.
Good for you guys.
You guys are better people than I am.
Yeah.
That's right.
He's right.
He's like, I do, I do, I do, that too, that's true.
Pretty much.
Got went to a yard sale
bought a drawing for 30 bucks
It's now being valued
In more than $10 million.
Oh my God
That's why
These stories are wild
And the drawing looks
Like a crappy
pencil sketch
Of a woman in a dress
With a baby over her
There's some grass in the back
It looks like those real renazanzanzi
This kind of sketches
I'd have thought
I wouldn't have bought it
If I have a little yard sale
I bought it.
I mean, did people that get lucky with this stuff?
Did they buy it thinking, I think this might be valuable, or they buy it and then, I don't know.
A Boston-based art collector named Clifford was in a Massachusetts bookstore in 2019 when the owner asked him to take a look at a drawing purchased by a friend.
So, like, all right, the book seller told him the drawing had been purchased for 30 bucks by a friend of his.
Might be a durer original.
The guy's name is Albrecht derer, the old...
Oh.
Yeah, you know, the old German...
Renaissance artist, yeah.
But 30 bucks, bought it a yard sale.
They don't know the background of why he bought it,
but worth $10 million.
Amazing.
Not even $10,000, because my Miami blown for $10,000 for $30.
But $10 million.
And also, who's going to buy that too?
Right?
Because something can be worth something, which I've learned with his beanie babies,
but it's not really worth it if people ain't paying for it.
But don't they auction those at like those big New York auctions?
Setherbees.
Yeah, that is.
I don't know if it'll go for.
over for 10 million though. Wow. I put 100 on it. Yeah, sold. A guy bought 264 lottery tickets and they
were all winners. Amy, how do you think that happened? I have no idea. It's a riddle. Okay, they were all
winners. He won, he won one of the tickets paid for, he won all his money back. So it's like
they were all winners. I don't know. A guy in Charlottesville, Virginia, named Jalen Taylor,
decided to buy over 250 lottery tickets and every single one was a winner because they were the
once we do pick three and he put the same number on all of them.
Oh.
Back in November, he had done this before.
He bought 104 pick three tickets.
Use the same numbers, 960.
They hit. He won $52,000.
Okay.
But he did it again with 160 or 264 tickets.
This time he bought, he won $132,000.
Okay.
I was picturing scratch-offs.
I know you were.
Okay, thanks.
That's why it was a riddle.
Hey, listen, there was a car crash.
And the dad and the son were,
both in the car crash, the dad died. The son gets rushed to the hospital. The doctor says,
I can't work on that kid. That's my son. Who was the doctor?
What?
Oh my gal. The dad and the son were in the car crash. The dad and the son were in a car crash. Boom.
Hit a tree. Dad dies immediately. The son is still alive. Now they're rushing him to the hospital
as fast as they can. The son gets to the hospital. The doctor goes, I can't work on that kid.
That's my son. Who's the doctor?
This is so tricky. Hold on.
Dad.
It's tough.
It's tough, Amy.
Think about it here.
I'm thinking about it.
Okay, I'm going to say it one more time.
Okay, yes.
There's a car driving down the highway.
Yeah.
A deer runs in front of them.
I'm making this part.
Oh, you're adding more.
Don't add more.
The car crashes into a tree.
Okay.
The dad's driving.
The son is in the front seat.
The dad dies upon impact.
The ambulance gets there.
Rushes the son into the hospital.
The doctor looks down and says,
I can't work on that kid.
That's my son.
Who's the doctor?
I know.
This has got a.
to be so obvious somewhere in here.
Like, I told you, there weren't even in a car.
I don't know.
Now this is driving crazy.
Who's the doctor?
The mom!
Why get you the doctor, me?
Oh.
Two parents.
Oh, yes.
You always think the dad's the doctor.
You're right.
Okay, think about this.
You watched Yellow Jackets?
I did.
It's a story about an airplane with a soccer team on that they crashed into the woods.
They have to survive.
there's an airplane kind of going the same track,
but it's going right on the border of
Canada and America.
The airplane is flying right on it,
and it crashes right on the line, okay?
The airplane goes down and crashes right on the line.
Where do they bury all the survivors?
What country?
Oh, say it again?
Hold on, I just need you to say it one more time.
I think I got it.
There's no survivors.
You don't bury survivors.
What?
You don't bury survivors.
Right.
Yeah.
Yeah, good.
There's a...
That I got.
I mean, I can do this all day.
I'm just mad at myself for not thinking of a woman doctor.
So keep going.
No, that's okay, sexes.
Okay.
I know.
That's exactly how I feel right now.
It's so wrong.
The condition to be this way.
A tourist, this is not a...
We're all thinking.
Riddle.
This is not a riddle.
This is just a new story.
A tourist in Las Vegas hit the jackpot on a slot machine last month.
I was watching how they tracked them.
The person was never informed because it was,
a malfunction in the machine.
So they searched.
They found the footage,
the person leaving,
they tracked records.
They found the guy and said,
hey, Robert Taylor,
did you play a slot machine
at Treasure Island Hotel?
Because of a communications error,
you won, and it didn't let you know.
And they won a $230,000 prize.
Wow.
I'm surprised the casino just didn't go,
hey, just be quiet about it.
But the Nevada Gaming Control Board
says they've identified the winner
of the $230,000 prize.
that did not know they even won.
They combed through hours of surveillance videos
from several casinos,
interviewed witnesses,
shifted through electronic purchase records,
even analyzed ride share data,
and they got it.
He's a tourist from Arizona.
They went to his house and were like, hey, you won.
That's amazing.
You won the money.
And then I give you one more here
that I saw over the weekend.
There's some dentists.
They're a family of self-taught dentists.
Boy, of all the things you can be self-taught for,
that's one I really don't want to go hit it up.
Like, let's say you're a self-taught mechanic.
I can sign up.
for that. That's fine. Yeah, I can sign up for that. You're good at your job.
Let's let's go. I'll pull up to your house. Growing up, we had a lot of people that just did work on our cars and trucks in the backyard.
A family of self-taught Dennis are arrested for working without a license out of a filthy office in Houston.
Filled with overflowing trash, messy wires, and stained floors.
But wouldn't you have been disappointed if they're like a family of self-taught Dennis had a luxurious all-marble dentist office where they got it in nothing wrong?
That wouldn't be a story.
The father described himself as a self-taught dentist
who had previously worked at a dental lab
before starting his own practice a year ago
where his son and nephew joined in.
The office which housed a single dentist chair
in an unfinished room
had no obvious sterilization equipment,
boxes of mouth molding scattered across the back office,
and dentistry tools sprawled around on shelves and desks.
That's from Daily Mail.
Do you get there and go,
this isn't what the internet look like?
Pictures were not like this.
I searched for this.
This is not the thing.
So that was a pretty wild story too.
Some calls.
Let's go.
Let's go to Karen in Texas, who's on the phone.
We were talking about Morgan not having her smell at all.
It's been six months since COVID.
Hey, Karen, what do you want to say?
Oh, I have a question for Morgan.
Since she doesn't have a sense of smell,
does she have a loss of appetite or changes an eating habit?
because the sense of smell can prompt eating.
I mean, I wish I had a loss of appetite.
That's not a problem.
But some of my foods do taste weird.
Like sweet potatoes taste like soap sometimes.
Peanut butter tastes like coal.
But it doesn't happen all the time.
It's very random.
Does anything taste better?
No.
It definitely tastes worse.
So only some things taste worse.
Yeah.
You ever taste of coal?
I mean, I just imagine.
Like smoky, I guess is more of the feeling.
Why do you ask on that, Karen?
Well, because there are some studies that have shown how the senses smell can prompt somebody to eat.
Like you smell cookies, first-baked cookies, or first-paid pie,
and you're going to be enticed to eat it because you can smell it.
Yeah, at the mall, she never stops by the pretzel place.
Annie Ann's because she never smells it.
All right.
Okay.
Cool.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you, Karen.
All right.
Thank you.
Bye.
Let's go to Jamie.
making Georgia. Jamie, what's going on?
Hey, good morning, guys. How you doing? Pretty good. Good, good. I was calling about that
loss of smell and taste. Yeah. Morgan, I had COVID in December of 2020, and I still do not
have my sense of smell or taste. I get it random like you do. However, my big concern is,
let's just say by chance the house starts on fire, you won't be able to smell the smoke in
the house, and that's a pretty scary thing.
Yeah, that is scary
Well, now Morgan's freaked out about something else
I know, like I haven't thought about that
Now I'm gonna have to walk around my house
Looking for smoke all the time
All right, all right Jamie, that's a good point
Yeah, it's been a long time since I've been able to
And I have those random, I call them phantom smells
And I'll tell you, my phantom one that comes back
All the time is dog poop
And I don't even have a dog
So it's really straight
Yeah, it's not good
Oh
I would like for phantom to be like leather
You get dog poop?
I get phantom vibrations in my pocket.
Oh, with your phone?
I don't have my phone in my pocket.
I'm like, oh, I've got a text.
Just kidding.
I guess I don't have a phone with me right now.
Weird.
Yeah, that happens.
Hey, thank you, Jamie.
Have a great day.
Thank you guys, too.
I appreciate that.

Let's check in with everybody. Let's do What's the Haps. Hey!
Hey! What's the Haps?
Amy, your weekend. What's happening?
Well, Sing 2 has been theaters for a while, but it's finally rentable at home.
So we rented it through Amazon Prime, and it is so cute. I give it five piglets out of five.
That's a pretty high ranking.
Yeah, no, it's so good. The music is good. The storyline.
is great. Adults love it. Kids love it.
So it's a win-win, and it was just
awesome to be able to watch it from home. You watch that with your kids, Eddie?
No, man, thankfully
I'm at the point where they can watch their movies now
and daddy gets to go upstairs and like, all right, I'm going to do my
thing. You guys watch your cartoon. What's your thing?
Play-Pastation, read a book,
something that's not watching a cartoon.
Okay, stop. You read one book
in three years,
read a book.
He's like, work at the soup kitchen,
help old lady to cost of school. Volunteer.
So what is your thing?
Yeah, PlayStation.
Okay.
Watch sports.
Read a book.
You like to sing too.
Oh yeah, no, I loved it.
And just, yeah, heads up.
You don't have to go to theater to see it.
You can rent it.
And on Amazon Prime, you have it for 48 hours from the moment you hit play.
I hate a theater.
I hate a theater, too.
I don't want to go sit in a room with a bunch of people who don't know etiquette about movies.
People talk all the time or they're on their phones.
And I'm Mr. Phone.
I looked.
I was Mr. Phone in 2001.
Oh, wow.
No, 2021.
Yeah, whatever year this is now.
What the award.
I won that award.
But I will not be on a phone and a movie.
No more theaters.
Thumbs down to theaters.
All right, what else?
Hey.
Hey, what's the hat?
So on Sundays, Caitlin and I will try to do something.
Get it to the house, go do.
So she found an article, most expensive houses for sale in the state.
And so we looked it up, and most of them were within like an hour driving distance.
So we went yesterday to search for two of them.
one the most expensive we got to we got her up right up to the door was that were they having an
they don't have an open there's no nobody that lives there oh okay and so but the gate to the
neighborhood was for some reason open we drove right into it and we drove right up to the house
they had a big circular drive we drove right up to the front of that there's nothing inside
the house so no one was living there so we did that one it was a monster did you look at windows
17 million whoa do you know who it belonged to
Mm-mm.
That wasn't online.
Did that have a nice pool?
We didn't get out.
We were scared.
We knew we shouldn't have been there.
We were scared, but we went right up to it.
And then we went to the second one, which is like, no, that was $23 million.
Yeah.
Then we went up to the second one.
It was like $16.
We couldn't get to it, though.
It was on a bunch of land.
We can only see it far, far in the back, and it was hidden by trees.
That's what we did yesterday.
We went searching for because she found an article that was like, hey, it looks like these houses are close to us.
Let's go see what they even look like.
That's fun.
We wish there was a database you could search who lives here.
Yeah.
Like you just go by, but then people get murdered.
People get it.
Well, there's that TikTok account where the guy goes up to people driving fancy cars and asks them, what do you do for a living?
Maybe you should do that at a house.
But a car you can get to if it's on about.
Yeah, and they're right there.
But I often do wonder.
Like, there's this one road I drive on and I'm like, what do?
What do they do?
What do they do?
What do they do?
Like, I get maybe one or two of these, but this is row after row after row.
So, like, literally, what do they do?
What?
Yeah, I want to know what?
your job is or if this money was passed down and if it's passed down don't like you as much.
Oh, yes, of course.
Like if you didn't earn it.
I can't help.
I know.
Still, I can't help.
And I can't help how I feel.
I know.
Well, you can't.
Hey, when you grow up broke, you can't help but feel the people that were given things had
an unfair advantage.
And it's not fair for me to feel that way.
And my kids will be treated differently by people like me.
I know.
But some of the kids that grow up with the money, they're mad at their parents because they
haven't had to face adversity.
Yeah.
Okay.
I saw it on billions.
Here's my tiny fiddle.
Okay.
You're right.
Billions is a good example.
Yes.
They don't, okay, but they don't know real pain of not being able to eat.
Yeah, exactly.
They want that, but they-
No, they don't.
They do not.
That's my point.
They don't know that they don't want it.
They were robbed of any sort of opportunity to have any kind of struggle.
Go to your rich colleges.
Anyway, my point is, we went looking at these houses and they are,
but the most expensive one was kind of gaudy.
Oh.
Well, yeah.
I'm moving tomorrow.
Don't get me wrong.
But we were kind of like, you got this one.
much money and you're buying this one?
Yeah. Yeah. But we didn't go inside, so who knows,
there might be a time machine in there. Oh, we don't know. It wasn't in the listing.
But that's what we did. We drove around and looked at, we found two of the most expensive
houses for sale in the state just to look at. One of them we got to, one of them we didn't.
I think that you should do like Eddie's saying or whoever said it, where you knock on the door.
No, what do you do? With a camera recording.
No, no, no, no, just a clipboard and me like taking a survey, what do you do?
Oh, you lie to them.
Or send lunchbox out.
He'll get shot!
Yeah, I mean, I'm cool with just like, you know, maybe Googling it.
But yes, I drive by these houses and go, how did people get the money to do that?
Yeah.
Like, okay, that banker, plastic surgeon maybe.
We always think, okay, they must be in finance.
Maybe they invented something.
Or an athlete.
Yeah.
Sure.
But usually it's like, oh, they invented the Ziploc bag.
Oh, that's crazy.
Or like a little piece, like a screw that goes on a jet.
Right.
And then they manufacture all the screws for all the jets.
That is so true, Amy.
Mike D pulled up a story.
Alan Jackson selling spectacular.
He'll top estate for $23 million.
Did you go to his place?
Uh-uh.
Oh.
I don't think this is his house.
Can you click on it?
Nah.
This is too far out of town.
That's not it.
That'd have been baller, though, to go to.
Dang.
And he's outside.
That would have been cool.
He's outside playing guitar.
And he saw you.
Bobby?
No, I don't think you'd do that.
Is that you?
All right. Hey!
What's the hatch?
Eddie?
My little baby, you know, he just turned three.
And now he's blowing kisses to everyone.
And I'll tell you why.
On Saturday night, we were watching UFC, and I was putting him to sleep.
I was watching UFC.
And I'm rocking him to sleep, and he's got his eye on the TV.
And on these fights, they have the girls that come by on bikinis,
and they put the little round signs up, like round two.
And then when they leave the ring, they blow a kiss at the camera.
And he's about to go to sleep.
And he goes, oh.
Oh my gosh, he saw this.
And he says, he looks at me, he goes, Daddy, they blow kiss like this.
I like that.
So now everywhere he goes, he blows kisses to everyone just the way the girl in the UFC fight did.
Does he do it because he likes the girl?
I mean, when he went, oh.
Right, that's what I'm saying.
That sounds like, I sound lunchbox.
And you know what kids do.
They mimic their parents.
No, no, no, no, no, no.
That's a good point.
I never blown a kiss.
Oh.
Maybe I didn't realize that.
Oh.
I mean.
Yeah, because the baby is doing that out of nowhere.
That's like a parrot just saying a curse word.
That parrot didn't learn that curse word for nothing.
Yeah, he learned it.
Well, maybe dad does it.
Who knows.
All right.
Hey, one more.
Hey, what's the hat?
Lunchbox.
So the wife and I were looking for something to watch on TV this weekend.
So we log on to Netflix.
And it says, number one show on Netflix right now.
And it's Kristen Bell's new show,
the woman in the house across the street from the girl in the window.
And my wife's like, oh, I saw her.
on Instagram talking about that.
I binged it in one day.
It's a parody about all these
who done it shows about murder mysteries
and it makes fun of them
and it was just okay but I don't know why I binged it in one day
but I give it two and a half wine bottles out of five.
That's about what it gets on Rotten Tomato,
50% audience score.
And I think that because the episodes are like
10 30 minutes.
Yeah, they're like 26 minutes.
So it was great.
So it was real easy watch.
But I sat there and I was like,
I watched that all in one day, but I didn't love it.
We watched a little bit of mayor of Kingstown.
Oh yeah, what do you think about that?
It was too dark for Caitlin.
She was like, you know what?
It showed it to make me feel good.
I quit.
So, yeah, we watched that.
And then we watched righteous gemstones.
We never watched that before.
Oh, hilarious.
Yeah, super funny.
Hilarious.
It's about a, it's, John Goodman is a really rich pastor.
Mega church.
And his son is Danny McBride, his other son.
And it's their life.
Oh, he's funny.
It's pretty funny.
Yeah, pretty funny.
It's 81% on Rotten Tomatoes.
All right, that's what's the haps.
Hey!
Hey, what's the hats?
Hey, we're here.
You can tell us what's happening with you.
877, 77 Bobby.
We'd love to hear from you.
Bobby Bones show.
Bonehead.
Story of the day.
This story comes to us from Southington, Connecticut.
A 58-year-old woman was tired of her neighbor's dog.
Woo-roof!
Roof! Roof! Roof!
At all hours of the night.
She's like, how can I get this dog?
got some moth balls, covered them in chocolate, put them on a tree stump, said, come get him, doggy.
Luckily, the neighbor saw him in time, didn't let the dog eat him, called police, and she said, yeah, I put him there.
I wasn't trying to hurt the dog. I was just hoping these would make him stop barking.
I wasn't trying to hurt the dog.
I was trying to give him a little treat.
That way, if he was so fulfilled, he wouldn't bark anymore.
That's so mean.
Yeah, that, if I were a judge and she came in front of me after she tried to kill this dog, I put moth balls on a stump and say, you go.
eat them. Oh, yes. And then we
live stream it, five bucks to watch,
and donate all the money to the animal shelter in town.
There we go. You'll be a good judge. That's actually
kind of a creative sentence. Eat the mothballs,
lady. That's what I'd say. Yeah, that stinks.
I'm lunchbox. That's your bonehead story
of the day.
It's the good news
countdown. Counting down
the biggest good news stories
across the lab. Let's
count it down starting now.
Number three. Two train
operators in England just got married.
They drive different trains and hardly ever see each other.
But you ready for it, Amy?
Ready?
They locked eyes one day and felt a connection.
No way.
He says he still can't believe she went out with him because she's way out of his league.
And together, they'll drive trains.
There's no good ending.
They just happen to be at the same place.
They're together.
They're not just like two trains passing.
Oh, that's even better.
Two trains passing on the tracks at night.
Yeah.
All right, what's the next one?
Number two.
People are calling this woman aunt of the year.
Her nephew was about to turn 10, and he was sad because he'd never seen a limousine in her life.
So she surprised him on his birthday by picking him up from school and one.
The whole thing's on video.
Here's a clip.
I thought you were at work.
You thought I was at work.
You turned 10, so I had to leave work early.
I had to come pick you up right.
And he's like, wow.
Go get your right, boy.
I would say, yeah, when I was 10, I thought a limine was cool, too.
But I still think they're cool.
They sent one to pick Eddie and I up
And our band The Raging Idiots in Kansas
They're going to somewhere in Kansas
They showed up at the airport to pick us up at one
And we're like, oh, we can't believe it!
We were like kids.
We were like that kid.
All right, let's go number one.
Number one.
Four ice fishermen in Vermont saved deer that got caught on a frozen lake.
The deer was exhausted.
It couldn't get its footing.
It had been out there for hours.
So they managed to wrangle it,
which I'm sure the deer's like,
oh, man, I'm being wrangled.
First it gets trapped on the ice
and then it get wrangled?
Bad day.
Dang. However, they wrangled it, put it on a sled,
and then pushed it back to shore,
and then freed the deer and it ran off into the woods.
Nice.
But you know, for a minute, the deer was like, uh-oh.
They finally got me.
They got me with the ice wrangle.
That was the good news countdown.
All right, that's it for today.
Bye, everybody.
