Starting point is 00:01:57 This is a Bobby Bones show. Good morning. Welcome to Thursday show. Good morning studio. Morning! So, yesterday I was playing this clip of Usher, and Usher was on that carpool karaoke. They were singing in the car. Who would you do Carpool karaoke with if you had anybody? Like, they said, Amy, you can do carpal karaoke with any artist. Justin Timberlake. You would? Yeah. Why not? No, no, there's no wrong answer. I guess, he's the first person I thought of because I was thinking more like Usher style
Starting point is 00:02:28 than if I had to go country music. No, no, any artist? You said Justin Timberlake. Okay. Lunchbox. Any artist at all. Any artist. You can't second guess it. There's no same guess. No format.
Starting point is 00:02:39 Listen, my heart tells me, Tina Turner! Oh my goodness. That would be the ultimate carpool karaoke. Key. Sorry, I got to look excited. You know what he meant, guys. I know. You're like the kid in fourth grade of Craig's the other kid reading out loud.
Starting point is 00:02:57 That's you guys. Stop it. You knew he meant karaoke. Not karaoke? No. So, Justin Timberlake Tina Turner I can't believe you didn't go George straight
Starting point is 00:03:08 I know I thought she would go George straight too I know now I'm second getting to you I hope he's not listening he's gonna be offended Bobby Oh it's Garth Brooks for sure Can you imagine Wow Singing all like Garth's hits with Garth Like we did Friends on Low Places in the studio
Starting point is 00:03:21 Where he played it and we all sang with them And that was amazing But can you imagine like five or six songs Just driving out of road singing all Garth songs That would be awesome Amazing Eddie what would yours be Well I would have to go with Pearl Jam
Starting point is 00:03:31 I'd have to go with the whole band No, you can't have the whole band. I can't. It's a band. It's a 13. So you can do Eddie Vedder? I'll do Eddie Vedder. I'll do Eddie Vedder because I know all.
Starting point is 00:03:39 I mean, can you imagine? I know every word to every song. How close is Eddie Vedder and Tim McGrath to you in that question? Oh, well, I mean, Tim's hard, but Eddie's been, ooh, that's really hard. Oh, it's really hard. Okay, I'll go to Tim McGraw. No, I'm not asking you. Change it.
Starting point is 00:03:56 Because I just wonder where those two felt, because I know you love Pearl Jam. I've known Pearl Jam by heart all of them. those songs. Tim McGraw, I love all his music. I love every single song he puts out, but I'm scared I won't know words to it. Like you'll be embarrassed. Like, I feel like I'd miss some lyrics and he would just be like, wow, you really don't know my songs.
Starting point is 00:04:16 Oh. Interesting. I really should have gone, George. I thought you were going to go George straight for sure. No. But you know my dream has always been to be a backup dancer for Justin Timberlake. I know. Keep dreaming. Keep dreaming. Body booms. Recognizing people
Starting point is 00:04:30 doing cool things. It's icy. I saw this about the Girl Scouts. That was pretty cool. The Girl Scouts are adding 23 new badges. You know it's an old school thing. Yeah. But they're adding new school, like math, technology, science.
Starting point is 00:04:44 So they're saying not only do you need to build... Campfires. Campfires or popsicle stick houses. But maybe if you build like an app. Yes. They can now earn badges through programming robots, designing model race cars, writing code. That's cool. Writing code?
Starting point is 00:05:00 That's so crazy. This is Girl Scouts move to get girls. involved early in technical fields, which doesn't happen as much as it should. So I see you, Girl Scouts. It's pretty cool. I see you. The Bobby Bone Show. Big three stories.
Starting point is 00:05:15 It's producer Raymond at the Ohio State Fair. A ride called The Fireball had a disastrous malfunction and broke apart. Many have been hospitalized and hurt. Three are fighting for their lives. Officials have shut down all the rides and are investigating. In New York, a Rikers Island jail inmate has gone missing. Officials are looking for them. The complex has been locked down.
Starting point is 00:05:34 Any information contact authorities. And finally, in sports, congrats to Team USA and soccer. They won the Gold Cup. They beat Jamaica 2 to 1. NFL teams start their training camps. And so I think it'd be fun to watch the Patriots win it again. I like Tom Brady. I think we'd be fun to watch the Titans winning because they haven't been good and they're right down the road.
Starting point is 00:05:54 But the whole story was that everyone keeps waiting for Tom Brady to age 40 years old. And I'm thinking not so much about football or Tom Brady, but I think everyone, everybody in this room keep playing on Amy to age too. It's the most miraculous thing. What? She's going backwards. So true. I don't even know if you know this.
Starting point is 00:06:12 I was with a friend the other night. You were okay. Softball Ricky. Okay. And he was like, what's up with Amy? I was like, what do you mean? He was like, she keeps getting younger. And I was like, I know the rest of us time marches on.
Starting point is 00:06:23 And here's Amy going backward. Y'all are not time marches. I'm time marches on with y'all. You're the Tom Brady of the show. You just keep getting better. Wow. Maybe it's all those veggies sheets. It's all the grass.
Starting point is 00:06:35 I will say my diet over the past years has shifted significantly and I don't know. Now you just look great. No, I'm not. I don't know what to. I don't know. I'm trying to receive your compliment, but I feel like I'm getting older for sure. Bobbybones.com. Lots of recipes.
Starting point is 00:06:52 You can be like Amy all of a sudden look better and better and better. So. All right, time for your positivity. It's called Tell me something good. Tell me something good. All right. Round the room with good. stories, a rookie Maryland police officer is being recognized because goes to the store,
Starting point is 00:07:13 there was a call, I said, hey, this woman's stealing diapers. And so when the officer goes up, she says, hey, you've been stealing diapers. It's like, I did. I did steal diapers. I paid for all the groceries, but I didn't have enough money to cover the diapers for my kid, too. And so the police officer said, listen, this is against a law. I do have to write you a citation.
Starting point is 00:07:30 But then bought the diapers plus other diapers for her as well and was like, here, let me help you. Wow. So that was pretty cool. It didn't have to do that. No. So shout out to this officer and other officers out there making a difference, even the little ways that we don't even know about.
Starting point is 00:07:45 So there you go. Amy, tell me something good. Okay, so this is pretty cool how a field trip when this kid was in third grade totally changed his life and how he looks at helping others. He's now in eighth grade. So for five years after a field trip to a pregnancy resource center, he has been holding garage sales to raise money to give to these pregnancy centers that help single moms like I'm talking diapers,
Starting point is 00:08:06 car seats, clothes, baby lotion, wipes. And now his story is getting out there, and he hopes that by sharing it, he can motivate others to do the same. Again, this kid's in eighth grade. He's 14. And since third grade, he's been helping these people out. Lunchbox, tell me something good.
Starting point is 00:08:20 Buffalo 911, how can I help you? Yeah. Who? Buffalo 911, how can I help you? Yeah, there's some kids outside. They're making a lot of noise. Can you please send an officer out here? I can't get any sleep.
Starting point is 00:08:32 I will send Officer McDonald out there. Officer McDonald shows up. it's just some kids playing football in the street. So what's Officer McDonald do? Jumps in the game, scores a touchdown, and says, you guys just got robbed, didn't break up the football game, Spike the football, got in his car, and left.
Starting point is 00:08:49 What up? Why did someone call 911 on the football game anyways? Because they were loud. They were calling the police. Oh, man. And I did like that you put a little extra effort into acting the scenario out. We were just confused.
Starting point is 00:09:01 I thought maybe there was someone named Buffalo 911. Yeah. How can I help you? Like Oh What's your emergency Yeah yeah yeah But I do like that
Starting point is 00:09:09 It's a good job I just tried to do something Different Yeah yeah extra effort I always enjoy extra effort Yeah That's tell me something good Right there
Starting point is 00:09:14 Bobby Bones Bobby Bones show Eddie's our video producer Eddie kind of sits Way to my right Like if I were to reach my arm out straight to the right That's where Eddie is
Starting point is 00:09:24 So he's in my kind of peripheral To my right side And Eddie was talking about Raymond Again Raymond sits in the glass room These are all the producers They have their little talks You know There's like us
Starting point is 00:09:33 Radio Talk on Air Talkers and all the producers had little talks. Yeah. That is like, you know what? I think Raymond needs a raise. I was like, that's interesting you think that. I mean, the guy works nonstop. The other day I was here till about 3 o'clock,
Starting point is 00:09:46 and he had gone home and I was like, okay, he usually goes home about 11. He comes back at 1, and he's got a whole different other shift going on. He probably stays here until about another three hours. Now I would agree that a lot of you guys deserve raises. Yes. Oh, yeah. But then Eddie throws out there, how many hours does Raymond work versus lunchbox?
Starting point is 00:10:01 Yeah, yeah, yeah. That was his whole point. Oh. Well, I needed a drastic comparison. Yeah, and you don't compare it. What were you doing up your own three? Whoa, whoa, that's the... He asked about Raymond versus lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:10:10 Yeah, leave me out of this one. Oh, I mean, I have no idea. How many hours a day do you think you work? Oh, probably seven hours a day. Interesting. Yeah. Doing what? We do the show.
Starting point is 00:10:21 And then you got to do the prep outside of the show. Raymond, how many do you work? I got to go for 12 a day, I'd say. I mean, that's easy. So do you think, Eddie, what is your suggestion? We take some from lunch and give it to Ray? Yeah, I mean, Ray definitely put it. and more hours.
Starting point is 00:10:36 So I would take a little bit of lunch as money. I mean, because you've got to think like how much do I make an hour? You know, and if lunchbox is only working, you know, seven, I would have debated it.
Starting point is 00:10:45 Me too. I would like five and a half, six, maybe tops. Sometimes he does lunch walking and stuff. Sometimes. Yeah, it's about 30 minutes. And then Ray ends up editing the audio. No, he knows it added audio.
Starting point is 00:10:56 Oh, okay. Well. The question is, do we take from lunch to give to Raymond? Amy? No, Oh, that's not how it works. Oh.
Starting point is 00:11:06 That's not how it works. I would love for Ray to get a raise, but you don't take from lunchbox. Okay. Okay. Tomorrow we're going to do the comparison to you because all you do is, like, I came up here yesterday after my business meeting. Guess who's still up here playing craps? Eddie.
Starting point is 00:11:19 Is he playing crap for you? Eddie, he's like, dude, I just want a lot of money. Eddie always finds a way to say, I was up here till three or I was up here till three. Oh, no. Like he just slid it in that he was up here till three. Hey, I'm always here till three. Yeah, but you're not like working till three. Okay.
Starting point is 00:11:32 Yes, I am. Are you? Yes. Okay. Was he playing craps, NLR? He told me I want a lot of money. You missed it. When's I playing craps, NLR?
Starting point is 00:11:40 At that moment... You can't ask NLR, by the way. At that moment, no, you were not, but you told me you were. And then he's just in here talking to the sports guy, just, you know... Oh, Eddie definitely kills time. Yeah. Yeah, I would too have had two kids at home. No, that's not why I do it.
Starting point is 00:11:52 No, but I would, no, too. No, that's not why I work car. It's a fun place compared to going home. I get it, Eddie. I understand. The latest from Nashville in Hollywood. Amy's 32nd Skinny. So it looks like Luke Brian could be in the running to be on American Idol.
Starting point is 00:12:09 The Hollywood reporter says that Luke, Lionel Richie, and Charlie Puth may be sitting next to Katie Perry when the show returns on ABC. I think Keith Durbin has the first right to turn it down. Okay. I think it would be great for Luke. People would like Luke a lot because people like Blake a lot. That's exactly. I thought, oh my gosh, Blake's been so well in the voice.
Starting point is 00:12:27 Luke would be the perfect shoe in. And again, they just throw names out there. But Luke is also our biggest star right now. Listen, I think it would be a great movie. we get paid a ton of money. But I don't know where they have all this money, I don't like, they're 100 million bucks in debt right now. Yeah, what else you got?
Starting point is 00:12:42 Well, auditions start on August 17th in Florida. And then Brantley Gilbert, you know, his wife is pregnant. And he said in a recent interview that he keeps telling her that he wants to take care of the umbilical core, but that he wants to bite it off. That's so Brantley style. But get this, Brantley's dad actually passed out in the delivery room when he was born.
Starting point is 00:13:03 and so people are saying, ooh, hope he doesn't take after his dad, but he definitely wants to be there. I'm Amy, that's your 30-second skinny. Bobby Bones Show. Bonehead. Norrie up the day. This story comes to us from Washington, D.C. A man had his trash and his apartment complex,
Starting point is 00:13:19 goes to throw it down the shoot, and he goes, oh, no, I threw my cell phone down. Oh, no. Yeah, what am I going to do? I would wonder the same thing. I would be like, listen, I put myself in that situation. Depending how far I might go head first. What floor was you on?
Starting point is 00:13:31 I don't say what floor. And he didn't know how far the shoot went. Yeah. So he decided to climb inside and look for his cell phone to see if he could find it. Got stuck in the shoot for hours. Someone had to call 911. And the fire department had to come and get him out with a harness. And he was in there until about 3 a.m.
Starting point is 00:13:49 Like, I get it. He's a bonehead, but I can't say I wouldn't at least consider the same thing. He couldn't call anybody. His cell phone was down there. That's true. He couldn't find it. Off lunchbox, that's your bonehead story of the day. But we're not judging.
Starting point is 00:14:01 No. No, no, no. your Bobby Bones on. Follow Bobby on Snapchat. User name Bobby Bones show. So Chipotle says that one sick employee is responsible for all of that. Okay. Imagine if you're that one person and all of a sudden it's like, oh boy.
Starting point is 00:14:19 What did I do? That's me they're talking about. Oh, boy. I had the poops and I went into work and now cost him a billion dollars. Yeah, Chipotle blames one sick employee for their $1 billion loss. after dozens of people fell ill with the neurovirus after eating at the Virginia restaurant where that staffer works.
Starting point is 00:14:40 He was sick. I'm assuming it's a heat because I feel like a she would go, I'm not feeling well, make the smart decision. Yeah. Guys are knuckleheads. So they say, hey, we blame it on Jimmy. And they didn't say Jimmy. But if you're Jimmy, you're like,
Starting point is 00:14:55 they narrow it down to Jimmy. Yeah, oh, man. What if it's one dude, though. Yeah. And he's like, all right, boys, I'm going to leave a little early. Dium! Out of here, never coming back. They're calling these vasectomy parties where they have snips and chips and dips. Listen, this is not a party. This is more like a gathering. I take offense to the word party. A party should be fun. This is a vasectomy group meeting.
Starting point is 00:15:22 But I like how all that rhymes snips and chips and dips and dips. Yeah. Some urologists are offering group vasectomies as a way to save money. And ease me into getting snipped because they're bringing their buds. Yeah. But here's the thing. Do you send an email out to everybody and copy all your mail friends? Be like, guys, how do you feel about all going in together and getting popped? Because it's not like you know three people that want to, like right now, let me think, three people.
Starting point is 00:15:49 No? Okay, because of your lifestyle, like if you were to have like a group of dads that have like multiple kids and they're ready to just like call it a day, like I could see that email chain going out. But at the same time, hey, it's a party. It's not a party. Stop calling it a party. And you get chips and dips with a food. It's a forced gathering. It's a morning.
Starting point is 00:16:09 With a scalpel. One of the guys says, we thought it was going to be painful. After that, we were just laughing. And then he goes on, I guess it was from the alcohol. Can you do that? You can drink and then get a vasectomy? Yeah. Well, I don't know for sure what is recommended.
Starting point is 00:16:23 But my parents and their friends, one of their friends was a doctor. And they did it at a party. One of them was like, I think I want a vasectomy. He's like, get on the table. We'll do it right here. And they did it. What? Now, they didn't have a party.
Starting point is 00:16:36 There was already a party happening. Yeah, it's our doctor now. His dad did it at a party to one of our other family friends. With nail clippers. No. He grabbed it, stretched it out, and then nail clipped it. It was like, you're now free to run about. Wow.
Starting point is 00:16:48 I mean, you know, it's one of those stories your parents tell. At this party we had, so I don't really know the details. I called them on my rotary frown and I gave them a vasectomy with a pocket knife. I mean, it's definitely... Man, they went hard back then. Yeah. Walk to school both ways uphill and gave vasectomies at parties. They didn't mess around.
Starting point is 00:17:07 Jimmy, we got a big shin dig at the sock hop tonight. I'll be right over. But, I mean, I think it's safe to say that drinking was involved. The sock hop. The guy didn't even want a vasectomy. He's just drunk. He's like, huh? I'll take one of those bisectones.
Starting point is 00:17:23 Is that a drink? Oh. He didn't have any more kids after that, so it must have been real. I would imagine it was real, yeah, if a doctor did it. And then what did he put them on? Like, does he throw them up on the old chips and dip table? I don't know. I need to call my dad and get some details.
Starting point is 00:17:41 That's how they live back in the old days. Dang. It's a Wild West days. The Bobby Bones! Bobby Bones show. Woman goes to Target, buys an awesome vacuum cleaner. She's been saving up 300 box with vacuum. She took the box home, opened it up.
Starting point is 00:17:57 It's time for the vacuum. It was a box with dirty towels. rocks in a can of chili. I mean, come on. The Target representatives at the stores looking into how the vacuum ended up replaced with a decoy box. I know. I mean, I have a guess.
Starting point is 00:18:12 Well, someone got the vacuum, took it home, stuffed it full of stuff, returned it, got their money back for the quote-unquote vacuum. And then this poor woman bought it off the shelf. Bingo. The problem is that the person working at Target on the return didn't look in the box. Yeah, and you should always inspect the box. Always look in the box. That's a good one.
Starting point is 00:18:30 See, I thought someone that worked in the warehouse stole the vacuum. Another theory. I dropped the mic, sorry. Again, we don't know. We just know she was scammed. Imagine you're so excited about it. You open it up. It's like, wait, why are they chilly in towels and rocks?
Starting point is 00:18:50 Hey, Dave in Nashville. Bobby. Hey, Dave. How are you doing this morning? Good, man. What do you want to say? Well, I was scammed big time. I was 16 years old, sold my first car on Craigslist.
Starting point is 00:19:04 Well, I thought I was selling it. And the guy sent me a check for $5,000 more than what I was asking for because he wanted to ship it out of the country to his son. And sure enough, he sent me the check. I deposited it, and it almost looked like it cleared it first. And someone came and took my car, and by the time that car was gone, that check bounced. I froze my accounts for almost two months.
Starting point is 00:19:27 and I never saw my car again. Oh, no. Yeah. Man, that sucks for you! There it does. Oh, man. I don't like that story. I'm sorry about that, Dave.
Starting point is 00:19:39 Hey, I appreciate the sympathy. I appreciate you. Wow! Hey, Lori in Canyon Lake, Texas. Good morning. Good morning. How did you get scammed? My husband and I had sold our house,
Starting point is 00:19:51 and we were so excited because we had some extra money. It was our very first house. And I had wanted a dinner. digital, one of the DSLR cameras, and went to one of the big box wholesale places. It's been about $900, got home with it, and the boxes were empty. They had old manuals in it. I mean, somebody had taken everything out and just returned empty boxes, and they sold me empty boxes.
Starting point is 00:20:15 Okay, so you go back with the empty box. I don't think I would believe you if I was at the store. Yeah, that's what I was worried about. And I was literally in tears thinking, you know, here we are young. I bought this camera There's no way They're going to take it back They did believe me
Starting point is 00:20:31 I did call it They did take it back But yeah I thought for sure They'd say you know Hey you're the one that took it out Not not a you know We didn't sell it to you that way I mean the seal was on the box
Starting point is 00:20:42 And everything How disappointing something you've been waiting for And it's like boop nothing there Thank you for the call Appreciate you This woman goes to Target Bies the vacuum cleaner of her dreams $300
Starting point is 00:20:57 She gets home, opens the bikes, it's rags, a can of chili, and some rocks. So somebody got her. And so we're like, hey, you've been scammed, Austin and Auburn, Alabama. What's happening? Hey, Bobby, what's up? Man, we're doing this show. I appreciate you calling and sharing a story with us. What do you have?
Starting point is 00:21:16 When I was younger, my mom, she bought us with Brian tickets for Christmas. We get there, they take us to our seats. We get there, and there's all the people sitting there. Like, hey, these are our seats, and then security gets involved, and they come and tell us that three people have already done tried using the tickets for these seats. And these people are already here, and they just gave the seats to them after we done spent lots of money because they were backstage past this pit road. So did someone copy them and sell you guys copies? They did. Oh, my goodness.
Starting point is 00:21:53 So how did they handle it? Since they were here first, they gave the seats to them new tickets. You had to buy more tickets? Oh, my goodness. That's not good? Oh. Dang. Sucks for...
Starting point is 00:22:10 You! Oh, no. Thanks, dude, for that call. Appreciate that. Appreciate you. Denise and Virginia. How'd you get scammed? So, I was getting married, and my mom and I were planning our wedding, and we hired this girl to do the cake,
Starting point is 00:22:26 and we gave her a $500 deposit, and we had several meetings where we designed this gorgeous cake and everything. And then a month before. the wedding. Suddenly she was not returning our calls and come to find out she had taken our money and moved back to England. She took the deposit and ran? Yeah, she left the country.
Starting point is 00:22:49 Holy cow! You bought her plane ticket back. She was looking for one person to put a deposit on a cake so she could get out of town. Exactly. And so you were just SOL? I went, yeah, and then my friend's father stepped up and said, well, I'll make a cake.
Starting point is 00:23:04 and it was the cute cake and everything, but it was not the cake that... Yeah, that was like $500. Aw. Hey, Denise, it's cute. I appreciate you. It's a good story now. I appreciate you.
Starting point is 00:23:15 Have a good day, Denise. Thank you for calling. Thanks for all the calls. Dang. There was a story women who show cleavage at work are considered more powerful and better bosses.
Starting point is 00:23:29 Now, why do you think that is, Amy? No clue. Think in your head. Why would you think think this would be a thing. They're better bosses to all their employees, male and female. Yeah, they're just, it's just the perception. Maybe because they're confident.
Starting point is 00:23:42 That's it. Is that it? Okay. And there is a too much thing. Yeah. But there is a confidence too to just being like, hey, this is what I'm aware. Yeah. Own it. I'm own it. Dressing too provocative can be negative. But the right combination with a little bit of cleavage apparently makes women look more powerful.
Starting point is 00:24:02 I'll say this too about guys. We'll talk about body. Like if a guy wears a tight shirt and you see like biceps and arms, like that also too, you're like, okay, the guy takes care of himself. He probably makes smart decisions on his life. She probably makes smart decisions at work. Yeah. But, I mean, okay, you can work your biceps out and make them bigger. Like a girl can't change her cleavage necessarily. I'm not saying it's fair.
Starting point is 00:24:23 I'm just saying it's what we see. Yeah. Okay. She could still really take care of herself, but just not having cleavage. Again, not saying it's right or wrong. I know you're not. You're saying this is how we look at it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:35 It's like she comes off is just more confident. And like, yeah, a guy like dressing in a tight shirt, like fitted clothes, like owning it. Like he, yeah. If like someone, no offense lunchbox. Let's say like someone like a lunchbox walks in and he's an executive, but he dresses like baggy pants and a hoodie. But I'm, what if? Let's just say. He doesn't dressed apart.
Starting point is 00:24:56 Okay. Exactly. But I'm saying two executives walk in the room. He happens to be one of them. The one in the tight fitted like outfit. I'm like, what reality show is? It's probably going to get more respect. Be like, fake executive!
Starting point is 00:25:08 Well, another thing, too, is they always say bald men aren't taken as seriously and not as powerful. Yeah, I saw that too. Because, and again, if you shave it completely, you're a little more in control. But, again, it's something you can help. Like, Eddie can't help that he's, like, 50% bald. But we tell him he should just shave it and own it. But, again, it's not his fault. All I'm saying is, we see things and we go, oh, he's bald.
Starting point is 00:25:33 He's probably not that dominant. It's not a fair thing to say. Thank you, Bones. But a lot of people say it. Allegedly. I haven't heard that. They don't say it to my face. Well, it's like articles and stuff.
Starting point is 00:25:45 Yeah, science. I've read those. It's like research. Why do you think that when one more cleavage are seeing powerful lunchbox? Ah, because people are like, man, I'm going to try to hit on her. Oh, that's it. Okay. All right.
Starting point is 00:25:57 Yeah, it makes no sense, but okay. We were talking about being scammed earlier. A woman goes to Target. buys a vacuum, gets home, it's chilly and towels and rocks. It's Dustin got scammed. Dustin, hello. Hello, sir. You're on the air.
Starting point is 00:26:10 Tell me your story. Man, by the way, first time I called. Hey! Razor back country, woo-pigsoo, baby. I hear you. Go ahead. Hey, so about 10 years ago, my wife and I, who loved travel, we're in Mexico and having a great vacation.
Starting point is 00:26:24 We were on day two of a six-day stay, and happened to go to this timeshare thing, right? And so we got sold the world, told everything, you know, if you decide you don't want to use it one year, you can sell it and make money and all kinds of other stuff. It's a lifelong investment is what we were sold. Sold all kinds of goods. We have 20 seconds, Dustin. Okay, we have $12,000 is what this cost for 30 years of vacation. There's a three-day ride of revision in Mexico. So by the time we got home and read over everything, we realized we had been scammed.
Starting point is 00:26:54 We ended up having to have a lawyer to be able to try to cancel it and end up. losing about $11,900. Oh, man. Sucks for you. It doesn't lose all of it, though. $100. Amy teased what kind what kind of baby
Starting point is 00:27:12 that this new artist Dylan Scott is having. I was like, you know what? I don't care what kind of baby he's having. Well, it's human. Oh, oh. Breaking news. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:23 Coming up in the skinny, what kind of baby Dylan Scott's having. I'm going to hang around. I'll tell you how they did it. I wonder if it's a dog baby. Gender reveal parties are all the rage. Yeah, but you didn't say what gender boy or a girl. I know.
Starting point is 00:27:37 We said what kind. Is it a duck baby? There we go. The latest from Nashville in Hollywood. Amy's 32nd skinny. It's going to be a boy for Dylan Scott and his wife Blair. They had a reveal party in front of family and friends. They simultaneously fired paper poppers that spewed out blue confetti.
Starting point is 00:27:56 Dylan Scott sings that song My Girl. I don't think people know Dylan Scott is really so new. But Dylan Scott sings that my memory's like, how's that part? Will you talk it? In my heart. In my soul. Yeah. She sings Eminem song.
Starting point is 00:28:09 It's so crazy too they would name a song My Girl. That's one of the most famous songs of our life. That's like, by the way, next week, Luke Bryan's got a song called Stairway to Heaven coming out. But props to him because when you search Temptations, My Girl, he comes up. Really? Yeah. Even if you type in Temptations? Just do My Girl.
Starting point is 00:28:25 No, not Temptations. Okay. Well, he just said when you search Temptations. when you search. Just do my girl and you'll see the temptations and then Dylan Scott. It's pretty legit. Well, they're the two people with that song. I know.
Starting point is 00:28:33 That's pretty obvious. So Brett Eldridge is going to take over the Today Show for three hours on August 7th. He's going to start at 8 a.m. local time. He's going to co-host. Then he's going to be interviewed. Then he's going to go out to the plaza and perform new music from his self-titled album, which is coming out on August 4th. I'm Amy.
Starting point is 00:28:51 That's your 32nd Skinny. So what kind of babies do you have? It's a baby boy. A human baby. A human baby. Thank goodness Your Bobby Bones, everybody
Starting point is 00:29:01 Transmitting across America Your iPhone Your iPhone soon will not work when you're driving Crazy What? Apple's about to get involved
Starting point is 00:29:16 And they should Because again You know what the most dangerous weapon is in America People's cars Because we're on our phones We're eating We're paying bills
Starting point is 00:29:28 We're doing our toe nails. Like, and I do all, I did this morning. You got to work. Apple's about to get involved. And what the big problem is, isn't so much shutting the phone down. It's how to know when to shut which phone down. Exactly. There are five people in the car.
Starting point is 00:29:44 Oh. You only got to shut the drivers down. So that's what they're working on doing. Yeah. That's the technological part of it. This is going to take a minute. It is, but they've come out and said, this is a thing. We got to shut down drive.
Starting point is 00:29:58 and their notifications on their phones. What about their Google Maps or the iPhone Siri map? How do I get directions here? Maybe. Yeah, they're looking at it. I think it'll just be telling you. It's still GPS if it tells you. Okay.
Starting point is 00:30:12 But though they have to. Something has to be done about this. And so as usual, Apple's on the front side of it. So prepare for the next five years our phones to go, no notifications. You shouldn't be looking at your phone if the car's moving. And it's easy to say, and we've all we've done it. The entire time of iPhone culture has been driving. So we know no different.
Starting point is 00:30:32 That's why it seems crazy. So there's that. Now time for the morning corny. The morning corny. Why didn't the oven go to college? Why didn't the oven go to college? Because it had a lot of degrees already. Like a lot.
Starting point is 00:30:54 Like at least 400 degrees. Five. That was the. Morning Corny. We have to decide if that's going to be a regular segment. What? It is. Well, it has been for a couple weeks.
Starting point is 00:31:07 Who's deciding? I... Are we voting? It's your world. Oh, no, it's your world. Here we go. Stop. Amy and I've been arguing about this off the air for like the last hour.
Starting point is 00:31:17 Whose world is it? Bobby's. Guys. Amy's, Bobby's. Oh, go on. Well, drama went down yesterday on my Instagram. Did you guys see the tweet I put up? I did see it.
Starting point is 00:31:28 I wonder who you were talking about. So here's what the text. happen. And I ended up pulling it down because reporter started calling me. And I like to create my own drama on purpose. I don't like it when it comes out of nowhere. Like I don't mind no drama, but I like to create it. So what happened was I get a text and I have buddies that are artists. I'll give you a couple examples of someone I would just call and go, hey, let's do X, Y, or Z, Dirk's Keith Urban
Starting point is 00:31:59 Those are people I call and be like Hey do you mind But then there are people That I don't know That are artists That all of a sudden Get my phone number
Starting point is 00:32:09 And they text me And like What's up buddy I haven't seen you forever Best friend Are you good? How you been? Yeah yeah
Starting point is 00:32:15 By the way Can you play my song And for me I'm much more of a Let's just be direct about it Like hey I just got your number From X
Starting point is 00:32:24 And I just thought I'd text you and say, this is a song, and will you listen to it? And, you know, I'll be like, maybe I will, maybe it won't, but at least that's honest. And so, but that happens all the time where people's like, what's that best friend? Oh, man, how's it? How's it? I'm like, I don't even got kids.
Starting point is 00:32:41 What are you talking about? Let's grab a beer sometime. So they go straight to it after a few, like, how you doing text. It was one whole text. Oh, it was one block. Oh, wow. So I posted it on Instagram and I blocked out the artist who it was. And I was like, just so you guys know, this is, shoot, I missed that.
Starting point is 00:32:57 And I thought it would be funny so just people could see people get mad because I said this is a B-list artist. But what I meant my B-list is that's a big artist. The A list are Garth, Carrie, Luke, Keith. The B-list are like Kip, Coleswindale, like major artists, but they're not in the entertainer of the year category yet. Yeah. Like Brett Eldridge is awesome, but he's B-list. He's B right now. That's a good thing.
Starting point is 00:33:21 Absolutely. But people thought I meant B as in bad. Oh, come on. And so they were like, it's so rude to say it's a be-list artist. And I was like, oh, that's the confusion. And I don't have people take it that way. So I ended up pulling it down. But I left her for a couple hours yesterday.
Starting point is 00:33:35 Who was the artist? I'm not going to say who it was. I've never hung out with this person socially. Really? Nothing. Wow, you straight out, scratch out their name and put up the entire text. Yes, because I missed it. Here, I'll show you.
Starting point is 00:33:47 Come over here. Okay. No, just come over here. Maybe just give me the first initial. He scratched it out. I scratched it out. Look, you can read it out loud because I put words over. Go ahead.
Starting point is 00:33:57 Okay. Hey, man, this is, blank. You're a bud and hate ever asking this kind of favor, man, but would you play my song? Can you do it on Friday? Let's hang some time. If you can't. No biggie. And then he signed his name. So, I was pretty bold. I took some creative liberties because I don't want people find out who it was. It changed a couple things. But here's, you want to know who it was? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:20 Look at this. I want to go back one text. Ready? Yeah, yeah. Go. Oh, wow. Who was it? Yeah, who wasn't, Amy? Like, isn't that weird? I want to know who it is.
Starting point is 00:34:32 I'll come over there. Well, okay, I will say for one, you've definitely never hung out for the person ever. Like, don't it, just act like we're, like, hey, I got your number from him ever. Can I send you a song? But you guys are buds.
Starting point is 00:34:43 No. That's like I got a swimming pool and everybody went, hey, buddy. Can I come over to swim by spread? But, I mean, he was trying. Just trying to get a music played, you know? Just be honest, though. I like straightforward to honest.
Starting point is 00:34:55 The hardest snack to stop eating. Like you start it, and you're like, I got to eat all of it. I mean, for me, it's Pringles. I love the texture. I love how thin they are. I love the salt. I love taking the salty side and making sure it's on my tongue. Like, that's even a thing to me when I take the Pringle out.
Starting point is 00:35:18 Is that a thing to you guys or know? Oh, yeah. Okay. It's way better that way, yeah. So, for me, it's Pringles. Doritos a close second. Oh, Doritos. And I don't usually start Doritos
Starting point is 00:35:28 But if I do, holy cow Straight ahead Doritos And I'm gonna put in third place Brons Metal Just ice cream Like I like ice cream And if I have it I like a lot of ice cream
Starting point is 00:35:39 I like to eat so much ice cream That I'm feeling terrible Like I hate myself If I don't eat enough ice cream I should have never ate ice cream That's how I feel Oh wow Yeah yeah
Starting point is 00:35:48 Wow If it's time to eat ice cream I want to eat so much That I'm like Bobby you disgust me When I'm done Pringles, Doritos, ice cream. Amy, give me yours.
Starting point is 00:35:59 The one snack. All right when you ask you right away, I wrote down chips. Which one would you say? Well, there's these siete chips. I don't know if y'all have tried them, but those are the ones that I have to like lock up. I'm obsessed. What's the deal with siate, Eddie? That's seven in Spanish.
Starting point is 00:36:13 Oh, I know. There's seven ingredients. Boom. And they're like grain-free. But y'all, they're so good. What's your snack, lunchbox? If I open a bag of jalapino chips, oh, man, they are getting done. Devour. Any brand?
Starting point is 00:36:27 No. Just jalapino chips. I try them all. Just depending on what they got at the store. Eddie? My wife will make those Toll House chocolate chip cookies, and I'll just walk by, grab one, go away, come back, grab another one. Next thing you know, I'm like five deep. Cookies. Cookies are terrible. Oh, awesome.
Starting point is 00:36:46 Terrible. Depending on how you look at it. The old school chips of Hoy with milk, I've said before. I know, but crunchy or soft, I can't remember. Crunchy, don't. And soft is not even a thing. And yeah, you tried to tell me that, that soft is so good. On the Chips Ahoi message boards, if you bring up soft.
Starting point is 00:37:02 Chewy, you mean? Yeah. Maybe get that out of here. Get that out of here. I like chewy cookies, but not in Chips Ahoy. Okay. Stop it with that. Insulting.
Starting point is 00:37:10 So embarrassing. Here you go. Here's the list. The hardest snack to stop eating once you started, number one's chips or pretzels. The salt. Yes. The salt. Number two is candy, like skittles or starburst.
Starting point is 00:37:20 Oh, mm-mm. Number three is chocolate. Mm. Yeah. I do love chocolate. I have a crazy sweet sweet. twos. I had a protein donut yesterday. I saw those. Were they good?
Starting point is 00:37:30 You know, no, but. For what they are, yes. Wait, protein donut? Yes. Explain it. Well, there's a lot of stuff in it. And when I wrote the ingredients on Instagram, I wrote flour, but I spelled it F-L-O-W-E-R because I'm an idiot. No, you didn't. Yeah, yeah. I was like, I didn't even catch that.
Starting point is 00:37:48 No, you didn't. What kind of flour? What kind of flour? You put an almond flour F-O-W-E-R. I'm an idiot, okay? I was like, here are the ingredients. Nuts, almond flowers, lilies. That might be one of the cutest things you've ever done.
Starting point is 00:38:04 What do I know about cooking? But someone's like, here's, so they're actually pretty easy to make. And so they're protein donuts. It's kind of like pizza. There's really not bad pizza, but some's way better than others. These donuts, you know, it's hard to have a bad donut. But it's definitely in the bottom spectrum of donuts. But it was still sweet?
Starting point is 00:38:23 in your head. You have to close your eyes and go sweet, sweet, sweet, sweet, sweet, sweet, sweet, and then eat it. So it's just in the shape of a donut. It's a donut. It's just enough to make you go. This is a donut. Cheese comes into number five on the list of snacks that are hardest to stop eating. I do love cheese.
Starting point is 00:38:42 I like queso. I'll eat queso until I feel bad by myself. I'm going to tell you about this Julio Jones. Oh. Julio Jones. Athlete with the earrings? Yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:54 He's a wide receiver. And he plays with Falcons. He's out on a jet ski, just jet skiing the dump. I wish I had a jet ski and I wish I had the time to go to the lake and jet ski it up. Like this guy living life. Problem is, he had on these $150,000 earrings. On each time. Dang.
Starting point is 00:39:15 And he lost one of them. So he had to hire a dive team to go out and try to find his $150,000 earring that fell off his ear as he was on the jet ski. In an ocean or a lake? In a lake. Oh. Did they find it? No, and they said they're probably not going to.
Starting point is 00:39:33 Yeah. They even put the thing out. They were like, you're asking us to find a little diamond in a crevice of a lake. And so Julio Jones hired the divers. It was in Lake Lanier in Georgia. Listen, he made her a $50 million in his NFL. But still, to have that kind of jewelry, it's crazy to me, one. but two to be wearing it while jet skiing.
Starting point is 00:39:56 Yeah. They looked. He paid him $500. $500. If I found that ring, I'm keeping it. Or the earring, yeah, whatever, it's called. The divers came back empty-handed. He's probably going to send him out again.
Starting point is 00:40:09 They said, listen, finding an earring at the lake is very hard. It's 65 feet deep. It's pitch black at the bottom. There's debris. There are trees. The lake's been filled back in the 1950s. You know what? I think just...
Starting point is 00:40:19 Julio, that's on you, buddy. Yeah, it is. If you can afford $150,000. $1,000 earring to wear a jet skiing, you can afford to lose it. Yeah, that's it. I love it. That's so true. Amy's been in the adoption process for four and a half years.
Starting point is 00:40:34 Tried to have a baby. Tried to adopt domestically. Went on a mission trip to Haiti and as she was at an orphanage, she was like, wow, I think I should adopt these kids. Like, I think I found my calling to adopt these kids. And so four and a half years. And so it's been a struggle and the highs and the lows have all been shared on the radio show. And now it's time for an update from Amy.
Starting point is 00:40:52 is this drum roll worthy because I'd like to hear the first letter. I mean, I was given timeline. Okay, here we go. Timeline, official. Who's the first note from? We'll just call it Timelines, plural. Timelines. All right.
Starting point is 00:41:03 First notes from who? My agency. Okay, your adoption agency, go ahead. So I opened this up and it says to me and my husband, it sounds like you will be finalizing and bringing them home in September or October at the latest. Hey, hey, September of October, we have the time. July 27. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:22 August, September, Iraq. So three months at the latest. At the latest. And they also said, now is a good time to start utilizing connections such as officials from Congress, etc.
Starting point is 00:41:31 to push your case wherever they can. Okay. Don't know what that means, but there you go. I have permission for anybody, like a senator or rep, that could help out. So are you asking out loud?
Starting point is 00:41:41 Hey, yes. If anybody knows anybody. Just say that. Just say, hey, I need somebody to help. Yes. Okay. Then you got a second letter. Oh, second letter.
Starting point is 00:41:48 Woo! This one's from the U.S. Embassy. Okay. in Port-au-Prince. We are still generally seeing many cases work through the system in six to eight months at this stage. However, a number of court personnel recently went on strike, and I'm hearing that's affecting some of our adoption cases could make it longer than six to eight months.
Starting point is 00:42:06 Thanks, and please let us know if you have any additional questions. Huh? So. So one email says by October, one says it could be a year. Six to eight months. Or more. No, because, yeah, some people, evidently. went on strike.
Starting point is 00:42:23 Like what in the world is happening? I don't know. But like, I don't, I guess I've got a, this was all going down yesterday. So I guess my husband and I need to arrange some phone calls and be like, are we missing something here? Like, who's not communicating? Or like, why is there such a discrepancy in the timeline? I'm really hopeful that my agency knows way more than the embassy and that my agency is correct.
Starting point is 00:42:47 And the latest will be October. September would be amazing. But according to them, it could be October of next year, the other letter. But I'm like, does my agency know some people in Haiti went on strike? I don't know. Oh, man. Well, I'm sorry about that. Yeah, but I'm going to have hope in the agency note, and I'm just going to focus on that.
Starting point is 00:43:05 And we put a call to action to anybody that... I call to action. She's begging for help basically on the radio, and I agree with you. Yeah, they said, start using those connections. What up? And we don't have any except this. Bobby Bones, everybody. Transmitting across America
Starting point is 00:43:22 This show There were rumors that Little Jimmy was leaving our show Little Jimmy's a character that Lunchbox says inside of these commercials and it's become its own thing where it's like
Starting point is 00:43:37 Mama, soup again and they're the most ridiculous commercials but they work and so it's screaming Sicilian pizza here's the clip
Starting point is 00:43:46 Mommy mommy what's for dinner You scared me again Little Jimmy We're having soup Of course we're having suit No, no more suit Mom, not tonight
Starting point is 00:44:01 Mom, I want you to quit being so boring And think outside the box Let's have some pizza Some screaming Sicilian pizza, mommy So everybody at we say I was like, Mommy, mommy, mommy Mommy, mommy That's Lil Jimmy, Lunchbox's character He does for the show
Starting point is 00:44:18 And so much so That Eddie's kids do it all the time Your kids like Little Jimmy? Lunchbox. I'm serious, dude. They won't stop doing it. They love Little Jimmy. And Lunchbox was asked, hey, maybe you scale back on Little Jimmy a little bit.
Starting point is 00:44:33 So I had to break the news to him. Mommy, Mommy, what's for dinner? Soup again. Would you all be sad if I said Little Jimmy, the little kid that goes, Mommy, Mommy, what's for dinner? Is going away? Going away. Yeah, he's going to go away. Wait, how is it?
Starting point is 00:44:51 Where is he going to go? away the graveyard dead kaput so what's the deal I am still battling I'm still fighting for little Jimmy
Starting point is 00:45:02 like I'm trying to keep little Jimmy alive like I was you know so we're working on him we're trying to bring little Jimmy like mommy mommy I'm not ready to go I want to eat screaming Sicilian meat
Starting point is 00:45:13 say yeah mommy don't kill me This is not a commercial No This is not a I promise you I'm a commercial Mommy mommy what's for dinner Mommy for dinner. Like it works.
Starting point is 00:45:26 It does work. I think Lunchbox is trying to get them to make this their national ad campaign like across the board. I would. I think it's fantastic. By the way, I'd like to bring on Angie. Hi, Angie. Hi. Yesterday, Angie was on hold for an hour and 40 minutes.
Starting point is 00:45:41 Remember Angie? Yeah. Welcome back. So I just called her myself and she was on hold for about 30 seconds. I just wanted to bring you on to say hello. Oh. Hi. Hi, guys.
Starting point is 00:45:50 How are you all doing? We're doing real good. You know, last night I was at home. I was thinking about you, Angie. And I was like, I can't believe she sat on hold for an hour and 40 minutes. And secondly, I can't believe I made her sit on hold. That's not my style. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:02 Like either I say, hey, we're finished with the topic. We're going to move on. Or I take the call, but you sat there and I felt so bad. And so I sent them a note like 10 o'clock last night. I was like, we have to get Angie back on the phone because I just want to put her on the radio, no hold time, and just say hi. Oh, thank you. I understand y'all are busy. But it was no.
Starting point is 00:46:21 That's all me. Like, that was bad on me. I apologize, Angie. Oh, well, thank you. What are you doing today? I'm actually at, I do seasonal work, so I'm at work right now. I get to play with dogs and cats all day right now, so. You get to play with what?
Starting point is 00:46:37 Dogs and cats. Oh, really? Yeah. But I work tonight, so I'm always, like, a day behind touching up on you guys. And yesterday I was actually, like, listening, like, real time. made you way to our, no, no, I, listen, I'm not the best person all the time. I mean, I have so many flaws, and I'm really sorry about that. Oh, no, it's okay. It's fine. I accept your apology. I still love you guys. Thank you very much. And so, uh, what, you live in Virginia Beach?
Starting point is 00:47:10 Well, I live in Portsmouth. I work in Virginia Beach sometimes, so I was in Virginia Beach when I called. You let me know if you ever want to come on the show and I'll put you right through. Okay. All right. Her new name is On Hold Angie. If On Hold Angie ever calls, we put her through immediately. Glassroom, do you guys hear that? Okay. Angie, have a great day at work. Thank you guys. Love you guys. I appreciate you.
Starting point is 00:47:36 I mean, I was sitting home feeling guilty as crap about that. People and I posted that text yesterday of the artist who was like, hey, what's up? Yeah. Buddy. I don't even have a relationship, but those are like, hey, we play my song, buddy. And I posted it. I scratched it. the artist's name. And that's one of the listeners to kind of see, you know, how the world of entertainment works. Like, nobody's your friend until they need a favor. And they're like, hey, best friend. But I posted it and people were like, I thought you were better than that. And I was like,
Starting point is 00:48:03 no, I'm not. Like, I'm not better than that. When you start feeling like people are better than things, you will just be disappointed. Take everyone for who they are. False. Flaws. Find the positives. See, yeah, I had missed that you posted it because you took it down, but then I saw you posting things like I have many, now it's all coming together. Yeah, well, I post up like three hours and then I told you a reporter started to call me like, who's this artist? I want to do a story about it. And I was like, now the stop calling me reporters post is making sense. Yes, I was like, no, this is not a story. I just wanted to show my listeners, like, you know, it's entertainment. Sometimes it's kind of skeezy. And that's why I don't do the record label
Starting point is 00:48:38 stuff. I don't get in the parties. I don't listen to music really before it comes out. And he's telling the truth with that. Like, he's not just saying, like you really don't do any of that stuff. No. You don't. I try. I say don't. Like 99% I don't. Like if it's actually a literal friend, I will listen to stuff. But the reason I don't is because I feel like you can be one of the people or one of the industry. And I want to always be one of the people as much as I can.
Starting point is 00:49:04 And so when new music comes out the day of, I hear it when you do. Old Dominion, like those guys. They're like, hey, send you a new record. I don't want to hear until it comes out. And I'm good. I think they're fantastic, but I don't want to hear the record. but that's just our program rector
Starting point is 00:49:20 was giving me a hard time was like, no, you should listen to the whole record and so you know about it an interview. So why would we give you a hard time? I think that's just the old school way to do it, listen and prepare.
Starting point is 00:49:31 Prepare. What's that? Prepare. I have a strong opinion about something dumb if you guys like to hear it. Yeah. And here's the thing about that is that I think
Starting point is 00:49:42 and it just kind of hit me today whenever I was looking at our digital Girl Morgan's Twitter account. So don't take it personal. Okay, here we go. So now let's hear your strong opinion on something dumb. Can we stop using the word porn about everything? Food porn, word porn, shoe porn.
Starting point is 00:50:05 Wait, people use like word porn? She just posted a tweet that was like, word porn. I'm so tired of porn, everything being a porn. Yeah, I can't say that word. Yeah, I don't either. Like, I can't do it. I don't do hashtag food porn. I don't do hashtag any porn.
Starting point is 00:50:21 It feels gross. Like my dad sends me that stuff and I want to say like, what kind of porn? Food. Food porn. Yeah. I don't like it either at all. Like I have never, ever, ever done anything like, oh, that amazing burger looks like, well, food. Food porn.
Starting point is 00:50:37 No, I can't do it. I've never heard. Shoe porn. Anything where there's a lot of it or it's like excessive, they go, oh, this is, you know, so it's a porn. Oh, it's music porn. Look at all these records. Stop that. It's disgusting.
Starting point is 00:50:49 Can we stop that? I don't like it. I mean, listen. Is it a 23-year-old thing? I mean, I know my friends do it that are my age, so I know it's a, it's not, but if she's doing it. But porn is a everything thing, like porn porn? But food porn. But all, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:51:03 I don't even like, oh, porn part. No, I don't even like porn. I don't even like a porn. Maybe like once a year. Okay, we don't need to talk about it. No, but I'm just being completely honest with here. Maybe. And I'm not even like a.
Starting point is 00:51:16 against it. It says, I don't want the viruses on my computer. I don't trust it. And so, I just don't like the porn stuff. I don't like the word porn. I would rather say, like, pornography sounds cleaner. At least it sounds... Ew, no. I don't even like that. At least that word sounds somewhat like scientific. That was a strong opinion on something dumb.
Starting point is 00:51:34 Thank you. Brantley Gilbert wants to eat his wife's umbilical cord. I'm sorry? I mean, would y'all expect anything less? No, technically he wants to bite it off. Instead of with scissors, he uses teeth. That's funny. That's funny. That's not funny. I'm just reading the headline.
Starting point is 00:51:53 Brantley Gilbert wants to bite off his baby's umbilical cord. Is that a caveman thing? Like, is that what they used to do? Oh, good point. And so it's like, um, me, I'm brain, I'm being nature. I'm meat, bambulcord. Dude, that's so good. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:08 The impression? Yes. Him eating it. No, that's gross. I thought you were like, yum, imbilical cord. Is he going to eat the placenta to? Because that's what they, that's normal. Some people do that, yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:18 They save it and put it in soup, or they dry it out and put it in a capsule and they take it like a pill. But why? Is it like a ceremonial thing or does it help something? No, there's all kinds of nutrients in it or something. Can you eat other people's placentas then? Well, you only have a, well. What do you mean? You mean, could you sell off your placenta so other people could enjoy the nutrients as well?
Starting point is 00:52:38 All I'm saying is that a blog post from Amy in about three months. I just found these placenta pills. And they're making me feel great. Yeah. But I'm wondering if there are all these nutrients, why can't people who aren't doing something with their placentas? Right. Is there a market for that? This could be a thing.
Starting point is 00:52:54 I don't know. I mean, we could start collecting placentas and make placenta soup and sell it. See, this is her. That's what her mind goes. Luke Bryan might be a judge on American Idol. Again, there are lots of might bes. So I don't believe anything until it happens. But again, where's Keith Urban and all of this?
Starting point is 00:53:10 Is he out? They haven't said that. And what if Keith Urban's listened to this right now? And for the first time he's like, what? I'm not all-America. Should we have a moment for him? No, Keith, if you're finding this out from us, but I don't know what's happening. Yeah, we don't know, Keith.
Starting point is 00:53:24 So just wait for the real phone call because we don't know. Luke? A2 Brute. I thought you were my friend. He gets mad at Luke. He calls him. I was listening to the Bone Show, and they said it's you. You, Luke?
Starting point is 00:53:37 I'm really sorry, Keith. Of all people, Luke. You know, I didn't know who it was when they've, first called. They told me. It was it was me. They said the only way it would have been May is if some other country superstar and they wouldn't say who took way less money.
Starting point is 00:53:54 You know, I don't know what to tell you, Keith. Luke. I'm going to have to go with Nick and we're going to have to talk about this. I'm going to have to come back. All right, buddy. I'm sorry. God, I feel terrible. I heard you took $10 for it.
Starting point is 00:54:10 I did. Oh. That's pretty good, huh? Impressive. Yeah. And see. I felt like I was watching Luke and Keith's conversation. Is Luke, is Luke Brian there? Luke is Keith?
Starting point is 00:54:28 What I heard this morning is not pleasant. Hold on. This isn't Luke. Let me find him. So anyway, Luke can be on American Idol. That is what the deal is. I say. Julio Jones lost a $150,000 earring in the lake. We talked about that earlier.
Starting point is 00:54:46 He hired a dive team. The problem with the hiring the dive team is he bought a crappy dive team. Like, he lost $150,000 earring. He paid $500 for the dive team. Well, how much your dive team is supposed to cost? Well, I bought like 10 dive team if they're $500. I'm not spending $500 to go after $150,000. I wonder if he had his earrings insured.
Starting point is 00:55:05 He called his buddy with a snorkel. Listen, I give you $500. I can't believe he's wearing $300,000 earrings jet skiing. Aside from the fact that he's just wearing that anyway. Hey, baller. But jet skiing. That to me is crazy. What's on with people?
Starting point is 00:55:20 What's on with people? Pay more for that. So Justin Bieber hits somebody with a car, huh? Yeah, paparazzi. With a truck. Now, I'm not going to sit here and just stand up for Justin Bieber. I will say when I watch the video, these paparazzi people are swarming. You can't move.
Starting point is 00:55:49 Get out of the road. That guy was in the road. I'm sorry, it's not Justin Bieber's fault. You are in the road. He has a big old truck and you try to jump out there and take a picture. You get hit by a truck. That's your fault. You're the idiot.
Starting point is 00:56:02 And you want to go, oh, Justin Bieber, idiot kid. Yeah, because a lot of headlines are like, Justin Bieber hits someone with his truck last night. And you're like, whoa, whoa, whoa, that's not really. the full story. Yeah, I just can't. I can't come here and hate on that. What do you mean? He was leaving church in Beverly Hills. Popsi blocked his path. He hit one of them with his
Starting point is 00:56:20 truck. He was gunning his engine. He was trying to get out of there. But they got to like move. Like they don't move sometimes. The dude was taking the hospital, but nothing life-threatening. He got out of the truck, stay with the guy for 10 minutes until the paramedics got there, which is crazy. He got out slowly too. Or, oh, wait, wrong. Or... What does this mean?
Starting point is 00:56:40 I love it. Perfect. You know what I mean? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He was driving pretty fast, though, which is the opposite of... Despacito.
Starting point is 00:56:50 I don't know anything about that song. Did the paparazzi guy get up? Yeah, he got up very slow. Slowly, yeah. How's his recovery going to be? Oh. Well, the doctor was saying they hoped it would be fast, but instead of being fast, it's going to be... Despacito.
Starting point is 00:57:11 The poll results are in. We asked yesterday because what I said on the air was, I thought at the Hall of Fame ceremony, I had 10 seats. I don't. I have five, and one of them is for me. So Amy's in, lunchbox is in. The program director of the game of the first shot is in. That's four seats, one seat to go.
Starting point is 00:57:32 And so Eddie wants to go. Yeah, I should go. Lindsay wants to go. She should go. There's a wild card chair open. I mean, somebody else can still slide in and go. But they asked Eddie versus Lindsay. Twitter said Lindsay at 72%.
Starting point is 00:57:46 That's unbelievable. That's crazy to me. Why is it crazy? I just figured I'm part of the show. It's a, you know, Bobby Vone's show Hall of Fame. Why would I not take someone in my personal life? It's a girlfriend. Like, it's a girlfriend, not a wife.
Starting point is 00:58:02 And Facebook, 64% Eddie. Whoa. It was a switch, so you're still in it. Wow. Interesting. Is that how you're going to base your decision? like Lindsay or Eddie based off these polls? Are you going to...
Starting point is 00:58:13 Based on social media? Probably. Yeah, yeah. That's loco. Are we going to be allowed to talk to Lindsay about it when she comes in? Oh, that's... Well... Maybe when she comes in, Eddie and Lindsay play a game or something.
Starting point is 00:58:25 What, for the seat? No, come on. Well, musical chairs with one chair. That's crazy. But is she probably coming in for other things other than that? She will come in on her record release day, and I will not interview her. Yeah, we will. The listeners will interview her.
Starting point is 00:58:42 Us too. Probably mostly the listeners. Okay, you guys get one question. One question. But the listeners will interview Lindsay. Okay. And I haven't been playing her radio single. I play it like maybe once a week.
Starting point is 00:58:54 But I've been playing the other song. That's not even on the radio that nobody's playing. The Champagne song. This is on her record. People love this song. They've been downloading this song like crazy. You can pre-order her record. Here's the champagne song.
Starting point is 00:59:06 Don't you dare take your hand off the swim. All in my back When we walk into a crowd I love it when you do that You make me full I'm going to I play it to one I like it in two
Starting point is 00:59:29 Because if the industry Is gonna hold me against her Then I'm gonna hold me for her Or Up against that means Yeah yeah Eddie was being all sexy singing the song And he didn't know I was listening
Starting point is 00:59:41 Did you hear him? So awkward I was just singing I'm over here on my computer He's like, I did, take my hand. And he's like, I don't you dare to take hand. I'll just smile my back. And he wasn't being funny as a thing.
Starting point is 00:59:51 I was just singing along. You're being sexy. It's the vibe he gets. Yeah, man. Slash is mood. The horns are cool, right? Love it. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:00:00 Anyway, you can download that. Champagne. Lindsay, yeah. Thank you very much. It should be on the 11th, Amy. The Bobby Ball Show. Or the 12. I'm not even sure.
Starting point is 01:00:09 But I know. It's not this. I already hit that button where we should go to break. Yeah, but you're not. But I kept talking. Is it? Because the 11th is a first. Okay, there you go.
Starting point is 01:00:18 These king cobras were shipped as potato chips. Oh my gosh. Like in a Pringle can? U.S. agents who opened the package found three live King Cobra snakes hidden in potato chip cans. And they say cans, so I would assume Pringles, like who... But the man who was to receive the package has been arrested. How about that? But here's the thing.
Starting point is 01:00:39 There are so many shipments that come over. They don't catch 99% of this stuff. You imagine being the guy opening those up? No. You had to be tipped off, though. You're not going to randomly look at it. It's sort of like when a traffic stop and they pull someone over and they randomly
Starting point is 01:00:54 find 200 pounds of marijuana, come on. They didn't randomly find it. Why did you pull them over? Well, they touched the white line. And then we found 72 tons of meth in his blinker. I'm like, no. Yeah. That's that random. But still, it doesn't matter. A king cobra is all freaking king cobra. That's crazy. So it's coming for another
Starting point is 01:01:10 country? Yes. Hong Kong. Yeah, and the brand of the chips was from there, so it's not like printos or anything. Oh, was it? I saw the picture. Hong Kong Pringle? Yeah, something like that. Dang.
Starting point is 01:01:20 Kank over it. By the way, so they told Lunchbox that he had been offered an endorsement for a toy store. Have you heard this? No. A toy store. Okay, here's the thing. Let me give you the quick setup. Years ago, Lunchbox paid money to somebody and said, teach me how to do voice lessons because I want to be a cartoon character.
Starting point is 01:01:41 And we started messing with them about it again last week. So the glass room had a funny idea to tell Lunchbox. that hey sales has offered you for a toy store, which is kind of mean. Wait, is a joke. It's a joke. But they wanted him to do a character. So they wanted him to play Dino the Dino.
Starting point is 01:01:57 Did you know this? Now you know what's fake or do you feel like it was fake or did you not know? I was like, man, this could be fake, but I'm like, if it's a sales opportunity, I don't want to pass it up and I was ready to go talk with the salespeople and be like, hey, how did I do? They know it's weakness. They know his weakness. Money, money, money, money. Here I am.
Starting point is 01:02:17 I'm telling my wife last night, man, I think I got a new endorsement coming on. I was like, you know, those new curtains you wanted? I think I can get them for you with this new endorsement. I'll surprise you. Oh, no. Here's Lunchbox doing Dino the Dinosaur. And on the copy, it said, you know, make sure you have a voice that's, you know,
Starting point is 01:02:36 geared towards kids, you know, something around the SpongeBob Bugs Bunny range, something like that. So I went online and was looking at videos of how SpongeBob, bomb and bugs bunny sound. And I nailed it, though. Okay, here we go. Hey, kids, it's your pal Dino the Dino from Toyosaurus. We're opening a brand new location in Franklin this weekend and wants you to stop
Starting point is 01:02:58 on by. The first 100 kids will get a free tote bag with limited edition, Dino the Dino Sticker Pack. Hey, that's me. Dino the Dino. Be sure to tell your parents to hurry before this deal goes extinct. First of all, great copyright. Great good.
Starting point is 01:03:15 You did pretty good. And great joke. Like all around? That's awesome. I mean, I thought I nailed. I thought Dino the Dino. I was like, man, that's a pretty good dino sound. You didn't Google to see if the store was real?
Starting point is 01:03:29 Well, it says new, so I thought it was a new place. I probably wasn't up on Google, yeah, yeah. Hey, kids, it's your pal. That sounds like a creepy uncle a little bit. A little bit. He gets into it a bit. But they all sound like that. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:03:40 Maybe it's just I'm looking at his face while I'm playing this. Hey, kids. It's your pal. Dino the Dino from Toyosaurus. We're opening in a brand new location in Franklin. It kind of sounds like his other commercials, though, a little bit. He falls out of character. A little bit.
Starting point is 01:03:54 Hey, kids, it's Dino. The Dino's Dino's a new character, so I wasn't used to playing him. Dino the Dino's a new character, so I wasn't used to playing him. Do you notice the music they put for this? What is that? It's open the door, get on the floor. Everybody walk the dinosaur. Is that right?
Starting point is 01:04:10 Yeah. Hey, kids. It's your pal Dino the Dino from Taurus. Toyosaurus. Toyosaurus. I didn't even hear that. Genius. Good job.
Starting point is 01:04:18 Hey, glass room. So good. Good bit. Jokes on you, lunchbox. Now we can't get the new curtains. He puts jokes on everybody. Man, and here's the funny part. Morgan, she almost messed up because I was like,
Starting point is 01:04:31 are you sure he's not supposed to say Toys or Us? And she goes, uh, uh, uh, uh, just say it both ways. Toysaurus. Toyser Us. Funny. I went to box yesterday Oh yeah How that's that's hard
Starting point is 01:04:49 It's a really hard workout And I talk about it I'm just not A good boxer Like I work really hard The work ethic is never the issue For me
Starting point is 01:05:01 It's kind of the form And the athleticism part of it That I'm lacking of it Like we just did First of all we worked out for 40 minutes Hard And then I got to earn my shot to box That's how it goes with my coach
Starting point is 01:05:14 Jared But do you want to see me do footwork drills? Yes. It's embarrassing. Okay. Because I... Well, I mean, I'm sure for you, but I'll probably be impressed. Okay, come look, tell me if you're impressed.
Starting point is 01:05:23 Because all I'm doing is these footwork drills. I look like I got a cornucle of my butt. Like, it's so hard. I'm exhausted, too, by the way, by the time I get to this. But I just, like, watch me. Look, watch my... What do you see? What do you see right there?
Starting point is 01:05:37 Where's Waldo? Okay. That's my clothes. Thank you. Wait, why are you going so slow? Okay, see what I'm saying? I'm getting in stance and I'm getting in position
Starting point is 01:05:47 I'm practicing getting in position Okay Do you see the corn cob? Do you see the corn cob of my butt? Yeah, I kind of do Like, yeah Okay, here we go here goes coach Amy now Good, go ahead
Starting point is 01:05:59 Well, for one, I think that it's You're going so slow likely Because you're concentrating on form Because I think your coach has told you before Without form, it's... That's why I exhaust you first Because you have to focus on form
Starting point is 01:06:11 So I think you're just being a little stiff You're, so that's what's... I just live stiff. That's why you look like, yeah, there's... A corn cob of my butt talk. Sure. But I do that even when I'm not tired. Like, I have no flexibility.
Starting point is 01:06:24 I've never in my life been able to touch my toes. Like, just go straight up, doop, touch my toes. No flexibility in any part of my body. I'm working hard. You are. I mean, I go, man, and it... You're dedicated. I'll give you that.
Starting point is 01:06:36 Well, thank you for giving me that. You're welcome. Wow. She did give me a present. Wow, that's pretty nice. I'll say this, too, about... I didn't realize how do you have. hydrated I was living in my life.
Starting point is 01:06:45 So I would drink a bottle of pediolite for about four or five days. And then I caught up. I don't do that anymore because there's some sugar in pediolite. I think it's like 24 grams for an entire bottle. And so now I drink about a half of one a day. But being hydrated makes you feel
Starting point is 01:07:01 so much better. It's just the peeing part of it that's annoying. Like I have to go pee right now. You have to time out your drinking of liquids because you are always peeing. But I really never, until kind of got me on track with this hydration thing was never really fully hydrated with my body
Starting point is 01:07:17 but now it's difficult to do it's like anything else if it's like tough and worth it it's hard to do so it's a struggle so when you have to pee do you go immediately or are you I go immediately
Starting point is 01:07:31 oh see because I sit there and I'll hold it until the very last minute where I'm dancing every time that's not good for your organs I'm like oh I can get through this 30 minute episode without going I sit there and... One, I don't want to be uncomfortable
Starting point is 01:07:45 and two, I think, what if something happens when I really have to pee and there's like an emergency or so and I have pee in me? Yeah, that's weird lunchbox. So like if I wake up in the middle of the night, I will curl up in the fetal position just so I don't have to get up and go pee. That's what my kid tried to hold...
Starting point is 01:08:00 That's crazy, man, just get up and go pee. Go to the bathroom. Lunchbox is going to be like, so when I have to pee in the middle of the night, I'd put a diaper on it. I'll reach down, under the bed, pull out the man pamper's. I put them on.
Starting point is 01:08:14 You just don't want to go, huh? I just don't want to go. I don't want to waste that time. I want to sleep. But you're miserable for all those hours that you're curled up fetally. Yeah, I know. You realize you get better sleep if you just get up and go. So why don't you?
Starting point is 01:08:25 Ah, just a game. Yeah. Battle. Yeah. Challenge. It's Amy's Pile. Whoa. Does that sound gross, by the way?
Starting point is 01:08:36 It's Amy's Pile. I mean, literally, yeah. I was listening to, like, we always check Amy. Okay, that's my first time hearing it. Let me hear it again, please. The Babble Show It's Amy's Pile I'm not sure if I feel like that sounds good
Starting point is 01:08:51 Because it was just your pile of stories That maybe we hadn't talked about yet Should it be like it's Amy's pile of stories Or Amy's Stack No it's the pile It's already called Amy's Pile But The Baple Show
Starting point is 01:09:02 It's Amy's Pile Boom Can we work on that? We'll have the listeners design What do you have Animal Planet is launching dog bowl which is just like Puppy Bowl, but with adult dogs from shelters
Starting point is 01:09:15 who want to be adopted, and it's going to air as it leads up to Puppy Bowl this winter. But I just think it's so cool that they're going to give, you know, some of the older dogs a shot at it. They should do that during all the playoff games. Like the major football playoff games.
Starting point is 01:09:29 They can't do it during the Super Bowl. Yeah. But I can see them doing that during... Like, make it a thing? Like the NFC Championship halftime, the AFC championship halftime. Make it like... You can't do it all the time,
Starting point is 01:09:40 but like a four-part series. That'd be cool. I like they're doing it. I like when any dog gets adopted. I know. Any sort of shine the light on adoption is awesome. Yep. All the dogs will get adopted.
Starting point is 01:09:51 So are we enjoying this hot weather? I'm okay with it. I'm going to tell you why. Because I hate cold weather so much, I'm okay with the hodge. Okay, well, it's good to hear because it looks like it's going to be around for a while. Did that gomer frog come out again? Is that what they do? What's it called?
Starting point is 01:10:06 The gopher. Oh, Bucks and Bill. Yeah. Bucks and Billy Bill. The groundhog. Groundhog. What I say? A frog.
Starting point is 01:10:14 I don't know. Whatever, that stupid thing comes out. Did he come out for heat? I don't know. You guys, according to the weather channel, warm temperatures are set to continue across most of the country through November. I like it. Sweet.
Starting point is 01:10:26 I'm into that, baby. That's crazy. Now we're talking. November. Now we're talking. Listen, I hate the cold. Bring on the heat. By the way, on my Instagram yesterday,
Starting point is 01:10:37 it's funny how listeners know things. So I posted a picture of my dog standing up beside me and my shorts are in it and they're stars and blue shorts and I got the shorts from Target Everybody's like Oh they got their shorts to Target too
Starting point is 01:10:49 Like the whole side of it's like Oh Target Target Target Target Target Target That's cool I was like dang Everybody must shop In my secret store I don't tell me I thought only I was the one
Starting point is 01:11:00 No you're not Dang Sorry To identify the brand like that Is that not No It's cool No it's cool
Starting point is 01:11:08 I was like How do people know this What else? Well, Beyonce and Jay-Z, they have reportedly hired six nannies for their twins at $100,000 a year for each. I know it's like nothing for them, but the twins don't sleep at the same time, so she decided she needed three per child. You know, they have a lot of money. And if you have a lot of money and you can have the ability to make everyone's life easier, you probably would too. Like if you can afford to take your nanny on vacation.
Starting point is 01:11:40 If you can afford a nice car with an awesome sound system, you have that over a crappy sounds. When I was a nanny in high school, I was the backup nanny to the nanny. Oh, Junior Barcy is a nanny. I was like, I got paid. It was awesome because I only went to my senior year. I only had school until noon. So from noon to four until I had to be back for cheerleading practice, I nannied. But I was the backup nanny.
Starting point is 01:12:02 I just try to think. I don't like to judge people for what they do with their money. Yeah. And it's a hard place to be because you're not. like, wow, Julio Jones, you lost $150,000 earring, you're an idiot. But again, I'm more fortunate than other people, and they can look at me and go, you're an idiot. You spend $100 bucks on a pair of shoes?
Starting point is 01:12:24 Idiot. So that's a lot. And I don't understand that lifestyle, but I try to not be judgmental for what people do with their money. I just wonder what the kids are going to think. Like, do they want six people taking care of them all the time? And then where's mom? And mom probably around.
Starting point is 01:12:42 But the twins are always together. They're not going to be separate. Well, they work in shifts. I don't know. It's just a lot of confusion for a kid growing up. If you had a bunch of money. How do you know, though? Because I was a kid.
Starting point is 01:12:51 But you didn't have any. You don't remember when you were a newborn. It's just weirdness. It's weird because you don't. The kids are going to want normal life. You're judging based on what you don't know is my only point. But their parents are Jay-Z and Beyonce. They're not going to have a normal life.
Starting point is 01:13:05 And if you have that kind of money, you're not living the lives that we live anyway. Like, nothing's the same. Makes me sad. This story just makes me think I want a lot of money. That's all it makes me think. They are so cool. Yeah. Well, they are pretty cool, I'm not like to you.
Starting point is 01:13:18 They are so cool. But, yeah, what else? Well, speaking of money, if you can't afford or you don't have time to take an actual vacation vacation, you should take a long weekend instead because new research is showing that short vacations, like a three-day weekend, can be just as good for your mental health as a longer one. Yeah, I always don't like it after about two days off work. Kind of I don't like it after one day off work. I don't like any days off work.
Starting point is 01:13:43 Yeah, but you hear the keyword good for mental health. That's why you need to take some time off. But I have nowhere to go and nothing to do. Just take a relaxing. Three-day vacay, bones. Amy, it's not relaxing to me to do nothing. It's not. It's not relaxing to me to just sit somewhere or just stare at water.
Starting point is 01:14:00 We can't, you can't force. You can't force relaxation on me. I have no hobbies that don't involve work. That's a hobby then. You have no hobbies. You have no hobbies. You can't define it as a hobbyman, right? I don't know.
Starting point is 01:14:15 I love my work. I think they started maybe as a hobby that I turned into work. And at times my hobbies can be very stressful. You'll turn anything into work. If Bobby started gardening, he would turn into work. Of course. You would start selling vegetables. I would do the best garden podcast and sell the best line.
Starting point is 01:14:30 Exactly. I mean. I don't have a hobby, though. But I used to like off. Oh, a lot. But it just takes too much time out of my work. Because you weren't able to turn that into work, that's why. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:14:41 He would gamble, so that was kind of like work. That's not hard. These guys were, listen, I was the worst, and then I became the best. You practiced. You were like Jordan's feet? No. You got better quick, too. I just practiced, just practice, practice.
Starting point is 01:14:54 That's his life. I know. It wasn't getting better quick. I worked quick and hard every day. Okay, I didn't, you're right. You did work hard. You guys are haters on hard work. No, I didn't.
Starting point is 01:15:04 No, I didn't. No, I didn't. No, he grinded. Every day. Ryan once. Stop. He would even go to the driving range forever. He's just egging you on.
Starting point is 01:15:13 No, he does. Like, Eddie, he would go every day and work. Like, he goes to the boxing. But the only thing I have problems with is the way he says, hard. Every time he's like, I worked out hard. I did. Sometimes I work out hard.
Starting point is 01:15:24 Sometimes I work out hard, you know? It's a difference. Like, hard hurts thinking about. But you work out hard, you're like, yeah, I worked a hard yesterday. But if you work out hard, it's like, oh, that still hurts. Like, I'm sore today from boxing. Like, I'm hurting. Too hard.
Starting point is 01:15:36 Why? Why? What did you do? Because you have something hard, man. Is we, do we do my outro? Like, that was... There's not a pile. I can just hit a button.
Starting point is 01:15:46 I got to do this Discovery Channel thing anyway. Okay, bye. Get your bones on this is about it on show. Hey. How about that accident at the Ohio State Fair? Oh, crazy, right? And I say crazy because it sucks that somebody died and people were hurt. I'll give you the news first.
Starting point is 01:16:02 From Fox News, Governor Kasich ordered all rides at the State Fair in Columbus, Ohio to be shut down. until thorough inspections are completed after a ride malfunction Wednesday left one man dead and seven people injured. Three to seven in critical condition. The man was killed. He was one of the several thrown from the fireball ride when it malfunctioned. This is so sad. The victims range from 13 to 41 years old and Fox 28 in Ohio is also reporting.
Starting point is 01:16:32 And so this is Governor Kasich here. It's a very tough night for the people of our state. because of the loss of our of our citizens here's ohio state highway patrol superintendent talking what i can confirm at this time is that one person is deceased as a result of this incident we also have additionally seven other persons who are injured you know and i've been saying this for a while and sometimes i say it in a joking manner because there aren't deaths involved and i just drive by one of these things and i'm like there's no way i would stop at this and get on one of these rides that throw you into the air that are mechanical.
Starting point is 01:17:12 I'm not getting on a ride unless it lives there. I'm just not getting on a ride unless it lives there. And this is a fair that moves around. On the side of the road, you'll see these ferris wheels or these things that whip around upside down, and there's just some dude running it who just travels with it. And who knows what the inspection is like,
Starting point is 01:17:31 like unless it's Disney World or like I'm talking about Magic Springs that I go, those rides live there. There's got to be because there are too many, stories about people getting hurt. And you know what? It's not even always a story when somebody gets hurt. That's true. There are a lot of stories we haven't heard about. Right. But it's an awful story. And just as my general rule, I don't get on a ride unless it
Starting point is 01:17:52 lives in that location. And it's like there's some bigger entity. Because here's the thing too. And I don't know about this Ohio State Fair and who owns it, who runs it? I don't know this. But with some of the smaller ones that will just pop up, let's say, go a corporation or business runs it. Okay. you sue them for $10 million, they'll go bankrupt real quick. You get nothing. You're stuck with doctor bills and hurt back and hurt neck and that's it. They're not even big enough to be sued.
Starting point is 01:18:21 Anyway, that's all. I hate this story. It's terribly sad. It's awful to watch. Did you see it? Oh, there's a video. I wouldn't click the video. I wouldn't watch it.
Starting point is 01:18:30 It's like the... What's the fireball ride do? It's kind of like an octopus. Like it has a bunch of arms and it swings upside down. and one of the set of cars with like six people or whatever just... The whole car came off? Yeah, just flew off. Oh, my goodness.
Starting point is 01:18:44 See, I wouldn't watch it. Oh. Yeah, I didn't watch it. Does this ride look old? No, it looks new and it has like flashing lights. It looks just like a carnival ride and... Carnivals, no. Amusement parks, yes.
Starting point is 01:18:59 That's my new rule. It's a pretty good standard. I mean, it looks like that's kind of the safe... It needs to live there. But they look much safer It's not universal But when you're there in the moment Like last summer
Starting point is 01:19:11 I went to a pop-up one And like And what did I say? The Ghost of Springs, Colorado Tiny Town, it pops up and down every summer And I went and I got on The craziest scariest ride
Starting point is 01:19:19 But before I got on I was like what are the odds Something that happened to me I don't like playing what are the odds I know But Glad you're here Thank you for being a friend
Starting point is 01:19:31 Thank you for hanging out I just want to say that And we'll be back tomorrow Dance parties tomorrow We'll highlight some females It's part of Female Friday What are you doing today? Good times.
Starting point is 01:19:42 Therapy? Air counseling. What do you call it? Whatever you want. Oh, okay. Shock therapy? Do you know that was a thing? Like, for real, back in like the 60s, I would shock the...
Starting point is 01:19:52 No, I do know that's a thing. So crazy. They'd be like, you are not feeling good. Damn! Shock them! Shock them. How you feel? I'm feeling better.
Starting point is 01:20:02 Yeah, I feel better. I mean, sometimes it's good just to get a third party perspective. You've inspired me a bit. party? Because I've started to look again. Sometimes I need somebody to talk to. Yeah. This one's super convenient.
Starting point is 01:20:13 It's right here by work. That's the biggest thing for me is convenience. I still don't think he has a clue that I work here, which is great. Yeah? Yeah, because I was worried, you know, like, oh, you know, he's right here on Music Row. Is he going to, like, know what we do? And is he going to listen to the radio and be like, wait a second. She's laughing and she has all these issues.
Starting point is 01:20:32 Why is she on the radio being like, blah, blah, blah, blah. When she's in my office, like, blah, blah, blah. Well I mean I know I know But I mean When I realized it was so close to work I was like whoa But I mean it's literally like right there
Starting point is 01:20:43 Isn't the sales office Is it Craig and sales Amy goes up to Craig's office Pay them 60 bucks I'm like Listen Well I'm glad you're back at it You've inspired me to start looking again
Starting point is 01:20:56 Well we can just like Go together Go together It's your world if you need me to It's your world That's a debate I feel like I'm happily living in Amy's world.
Starting point is 01:21:06 I just wish you guys would decide already. No. Who's a world? You're going to know it. If we were to vote honestly right now, y'all would know it's Bobby's world. See how she's demanding you guys? Yes, gosh.
Starting point is 01:21:15 Okay, it's Bobby's world. But I do things based on what Amy's... What? You're crazy. Whose world is at lunchbox? It's definitely Amy's world. Bobby caters do you. Eddie, who's world is it?
Starting point is 01:21:24 Bobby's world. Ray? Bobby's world. Wow. I didn't even make them say that. It's a tie right now. All right. We'll see you guys tomorrow.
