Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an I-Heart podcast. Guaranteed Human. You're listening to a podcast. So maybe you're doing something else too, like maybe scrolling home listings on Redfin, saving places you like without thinking you'll even get them. Because that's what house hunting has become. But Redfin isn't built for endless browsing.
Starting point is 00:00:17 It's built to help you find and own a home. Redfin agents close twice as many deals as other agents, which means when you find a place you love, you've got a real shot at getting it. Redfin helps turn save listings into real addresses. Get started at redfin.com. Own the dream. The Disneyland Resort is everything.
Starting point is 00:00:39 We came to play the Calliway. It felt like I was in the round-up game with Woody at Pixar pier. Have you been holding out on us? No, just showing you where the real Hollywood stars are. Like Tiana's Bayou Adventure. Oh, there's jazz, right? And a drop. You'll see.
Starting point is 00:00:53 Grab a Mickey Brussels on the way. Girl, you'll read in my mind. We're almost there. Enter Park and Disneyland Park, we came to play. Both park tickets and reservations require subject to restrictions change and cancellation without notice. Visit Disneyland.com for details. And now for a bit of breaking news between your breaking news. With me, the Gecko Gecko.
Starting point is 00:01:12 Here are some things you ought to know today. People who switch their car insurance to Geico save about $900 a year. Experts are calling that nice to know. Also, plants can hear when bees buzz. My phicus just heard that. And finally, animal experts have confirmed. the goats have regional accents. I'm getting a hint of Irish there.
Starting point is 00:01:33 It feels good to get good news. It feels good to Geico. Spring is in the air and a leaves. Long-lasting pain relief is here to keep you moving. The days are longer. The flowers are blooming. Whether it's gardening, yard work, or just spending more time outdoors,
Starting point is 00:01:47 spring has a way of getting us moving despite any body pain. That's where a leave can keep you going. With just one dose, a leave gives you long-lasting body pain relief for up 12 hours. From sunup to sundown, a leave's got your back. Try a leave.
Starting point is 00:02:01 Use as directed for minor aches and pains. The Bobby Bones post show pre-show. Hey, thanks guys for checking out the podcast. By the way, the award-winning number one podcast in all of the world, at least for a week or a month. I'm not sure how often they do these ratings. But thank you so much, because if you're listening to this, you're either watching it on Facebook right now
Starting point is 00:02:21 or you're listening to the podcast and you're about to hear today's show. So we just got off the air, finish today's show. And the story is unlimited tacos. They guaranteed that they had a taco festival. Well, what kind of a festival is that? That's awesome. Yeah. I've been a lot of festivals.
Starting point is 00:02:34 Signed me up. There was a festival in San Jose, California, where people were supposed to get unlimited tacos, but they ran out almost immediately. A festival that the eventgoers promised unlimited beer and tacos fell short of expectations. Some people stood in line for 90 minutes, and when they got there, there was nothing. They ran out halfway through the line. Never got a free taco. The event ran from 3 to 6 in the evening.
Starting point is 00:02:59 That sucks. Yeah. It's, you're having, obviously, if you're promising unlimited, you need to have a lot extra. Because all that extra is going to get taken. Unlimited, those are a weird thing. Because some people will be like, hey, unlimited drinks. Like some bars would have that as a, hey, come to the bar, you get unlimited drinks. Like, what are you talking about?
Starting point is 00:03:21 People could die. Right. They just get to drink until they die? You ever been to an unlimited drink place lunchbox? No, I've never been. into a bar where it's like, I mean, I wish. I don't think that's legal to say $20 all you can drink. That would be incredible.
Starting point is 00:03:36 They would say that, though. Because they would go out of business. I'm not sure how legal it is, but like an all-you-can-eat buffet. Now that is awesome. And we hear those stories that people get in turned away because they show up and they're like football players. They're like, ooh. So, saw that. Didn't talk about that today.
Starting point is 00:03:50 We had a pretty good show as far as, and Mara and Morris stayed on. We did two whole segments with her. It was pretty good. They liked that segment online? They loved it. Yeah? Yeah. She's good.
Starting point is 00:03:59 I like Mirren. And then it wasn't awkward. Sometimes what I don't like is having to hang out in here during a break, a commercial break. Yeah. Because then you just got a small talk. I'm the worst small talker. And I know Marin. So we're able to kind of talk about stuff, like real life stuff.
Starting point is 00:04:16 But sometimes, and also I don't like guests coming in and sitting before we go on the air. Because you got a small talk. You don't say anything. So now we've actually improved our system. What we would do is we'd walk them in, sit them down, mic this. them all and then go to them. But now I pulled Mike D aside already this morning. I was like, can we unplug the mic, mic them out there? And then when they walk in, they're already wearing the mic and just plug it into the back wall. Oh. Is that what happened today? Boom.
Starting point is 00:04:45 I didn't even notice. Oh, nice. Because they're doing law of mics now. Yep. And so that takes a while to like get on the collar. Yeah. You do that out there and you walk in and just plug that back cable in there. Smart. A. Fission A.F. That's what I say. Can I say that? I mean, why not? Yeah. I don't say the bad word. Right, it's not a bad word to say that. But it's like sucks.
Starting point is 00:05:04 Like the original term probably back in the day was, well, that sucks. And it literally meant that sucks. Right. Yeah. Like, A. My parents wouldn't let me say that. Right. Now it doesn't mean anything.
Starting point is 00:05:15 It's just a term that's synonymous. I don't like my kid saying it, but yeah. But you don't hate them saying it. They're not allowed to say it. You're torn, though. I can hear in your voice. No, just because I say that sucks. And then if they hear me, then they're going to repeat me.
Starting point is 00:05:28 and then they're going to be like, but mom, you say it. Sometimes listeners go like, you say you don't cuss, and I'll be like, man, I did the dick. I'm not talking about the penis. Like, it's a term that is used for someone who is not a nice person. I was reading this story about what it's like to be stuck between Gen X and millennials. Because the cutoff line for being Gen X and millennial is 1980. Like the official cutoff line is 1980.
Starting point is 00:05:56 And there are people like myself and like Amy. I guess I'm like Eddie. 79. Yeah, but you would be near that blurb. Right on the cusp. So you're officially a Gen X, but you probably have like a sprinkle of millennial. Correct. That's why we get along so well. Well, you're 80 and the lunchbox and I are 81.
Starting point is 00:06:11 Yeah, so I'd be in there. So if you're not Gen X, but you're not really Gen Y, like you don't really bond either one of them so much because you're on the line. It's like you're caught between two generations and they say that 75 to 82 are those people. Morgan number two is not on that. You were born in like 2004? No, 1993. One, you feel your identity is slightly mixed up. Millennials are the bubbly, naive side of you,
Starting point is 00:06:36 and Gen X is the cynical, pessimistic side. Oh, hey feel about that. Fine. You don't care. Yeah, no. You can't name more than three 90s Nickelodeon shows. Go, Amy. The green's nickel, Nick.
Starting point is 00:06:49 Sorry, time. Wow. Nick, Nick, Nick, Nick, Nick, Nick, Nick. Nickelodeon. What was the green slime one? You can't do that on television. You can't do it. Or double dare.
Starting point is 00:06:59 Or double dare, yeah. Double dare. Was that 90s? Yeah. I was a kid. Mark Summers? Yeah. Yeah. Good times.
Starting point is 00:07:07 You got your first email address in college. Yes. Yeah. I think I set up because I used to go. Oh, yeah. We had an AOL accounts. I used to go to the public library. I would have some of drive me to the library and drop me off.
Starting point is 00:07:19 And I set up a Yahoo account in the public library. Oh, wow. Yeah. So I did have one in high school, but that was basically the Bill Gates of Mountain Pine. I was traveling to the computer. Basically. Really? It's definitely in college. You filled out your college applications on a typewriter.
Starting point is 00:07:35 I think they were, mine were handwritten. Oh, even worse. Pilgrim style. College application? I probably type, right? You put the paper in, you get it in that line. Yeah, and then the return was you pull the lever. Yeah, the only B I ever made in school in high school is in typing. Only one. Stupid.
Starting point is 00:07:52 Yeah. Go back and retake it. You actually drank Orbitz and Zima. Oh yeah, Zima with Skittles inside. What's orbit? Skittles? Yeah. Or jolly ranchers. Either.
Starting point is 00:08:05 You were and maybe still are in a new kid's on the block. Yeah. I had their poster up in my room. You feel torn between valuing the old and completely embracing the new? I like new. Yeah? Yeah. You don't like the old?
Starting point is 00:08:19 Well, I guess I like both, so I'm not torn. Okay, a lot of people, Morgan number two, just sent me a note here. A lot of people ask them where you got your hat. on the Facebook comments. Your hat? It's Woody from Toy Story. Yeah. Sharna mailed me this.
Starting point is 00:08:33 She was like, saw it, thought I'd mail it to you. Which, by the way, let me say this. Sharna was my partner from Dancing with the Stars. We're engaged. Wouldn't that be funny if I just drop that on you guys?
Starting point is 00:08:42 And none of us knew. You know, that show starts back. They start training again, I think, in September. Because the show is September 16th, the day it comes back. So they start in late August, September. And I'm torn because
Starting point is 00:08:54 if you know, Amy, don't say. But one of my friends is doing the show. Yeah. And then this friend will not be dancing with Sharna. So I've got two people on the show that I'm like, wow. So I guess I just support them both. Yeah. Support both.
Starting point is 00:09:14 Where does my loyalty fall? Friend A or Sharna, Amy? Because I help friend A get on the show. I think you can root for both until one of them. I'm not someone that has two favorite teams. Really? Struggle. Only Arkansas Razor back.
Starting point is 00:09:28 That's it. It's Chicago Cubs. That's hard. I don't know. I know. Good luck with that. I don't want to help you. Hey, Bones, will you look that way so people can see your hat?
Starting point is 00:09:39 There it is. All right, thank you. You're welcome. Oh, so wait, have they invited you back? Not yet. I don't have invited anybody back yet, but they especially haven't invited me. It's like Lil Nas X. Dude kicked us off streaming.
Starting point is 00:09:53 We have the song, old folks home. Got the call yesterday. I talked about it later on the show. Can't put it up on streaming. Earth. Just shouldn't ask. We just should have done it. You, I mean,
Starting point is 00:10:02 you say that a lot. Don't ask, just do it. I know. Well, I don't say about everything. Well, that's true. Good point. Crazy. A man breaks his spine after the bungee harness snaps.
Starting point is 00:10:13 Oh, no, no, no, no. No. Where is he jumping? From a high place? I know, but like over water. Sometimes people do that. A man broke his spine after his harness reportedly snapped
Starting point is 00:10:27 during a bungee jump. He was jumping from 330 feet when the harness snapped. The company organized the jumps and the man was in good condition in a local hospital. And they say watch the video. Nope.
Starting point is 00:10:36 Not watching it. The video shows a 39-year-old man leaping from a platform only to have his harness snap in midair. Oh, can you imagine seeing it too? Listen, doing it was worse than seeing it. So they both suck. But even if you're just somebody watching.
Starting point is 00:10:50 Resulting in horrified onlookers and a broken spine. First time he'd ever done it. Oh, my gosh. It was raised high into the air. falling downward with his cord attached. But as he gets closer to the ground, his harness fails and he lands on the large
Starting point is 00:11:03 airfield, at least it was a mat. Oh, yeah? But it doesn't matter. 330 feet. The company wrote on Facebook, the most important. The health of the participant is in no serious danger.
Starting point is 00:11:16 He didn't break his spine. Oh, he did not break his spine. No, no, that's what they said. Listen, this is what the company said, but this news story says he did. Oh. So someone's lying to us. they said he did it they said he didn't break his spine
Starting point is 00:11:30 okay we would like to inform you that when our instructor left the ER that night the condition of the jumper was good oh when he left yeah but still it says spine broke yeah I got you probably spine broke either way bungee cord should not break if you're in the conversation where maybe your spine's broken
Starting point is 00:11:46 that's a bad conversation yeah so saw that mostly you see the picture by the way I was going to bring this up to you yesterday Kylie Jenner was in an Instagram picture maybe with Travis Scott and they were parked in a handicapped spot they didn't even notice it how does somebody let that get through
Starting point is 00:11:59 it was crazy Kylie Jenner's followers upset after she posed a picture for posing in a handicap spot not on purpose the car just happened to be in it behind them I saw that on the news for someone that values all of their Instagram and like that's their image
Starting point is 00:12:15 they should have probably like had that figured out huh yeah here it is I'm looking at it now and how you would know is because that's a back glass right Mike like you can see through the back of it and you see that sign that goes handicapped parking.
Starting point is 00:12:30 It's not on the ground. It's the blue sign that's behind them. Right. Dummies. Because they are not handicapped. They are not. Physically, they are not. I'll give you one more. A passenger smashes the laptop over a boyfriend's head on a packed plane because that boyfriend looked at another woman.
Starting point is 00:12:49 Now that I would have loved to have seen. Yes. I want to see the bungee jump break. I'm always up for a drama in an airplane. As long as it's not terrorist. And I don't think that sort of thing would make the plane turn around, right? It's just a little. A woman was caught on video flying into a rage on a flight with her boyfriend.
Starting point is 00:13:06 She can be seen smashing a laptop over his head while boarding a flight in Miami. Oh, boarding. She claims it was because he caught. She caught him looking at other women. Oh, multiple women. It just says other women. So he was just looking around a lot. The woman can be seen screaming at her boyfriend while passengers looked on.
Starting point is 00:13:24 The American Airlines stewardess stood by them. attempting to calm the situation, but no success. They have to get off the plane or no? They just could go anyway. They have to get them off the plane. Maybe the whole plane isn't, but you have to. The woman grabs the laptop, turns and smashes it into the head of the boyfriend, and keeps pounding him with her fist.
Starting point is 00:13:44 Oh my gosh. As the woman is being booted off the plane, she doubles back to get her purse, at which point the pilot informs her, she's going to be charged with assault to which she replies, fine, whatever. Probably some deep-rooted issues in there. you don't you don't get back with her you don't get you don't long term rage
Starting point is 00:14:00 well you just don't long term rage you don't long term rage someone has rage you don't long term it that's it well that was her first time that's living in there it's dormant mm-hmm yeah I think we're about done
Starting point is 00:14:16 today's won't be as long anything you'd like to say Amy hope everyone has a great day yeah anything what are you doing today recording some podcasts I didn't mention that. What are you doing tonight? Just be at home, dinner.
Starting point is 00:14:30 Want to hang out? The kids? Why, what are you doing? Nothing. I'm just kidding. Yeah, no, I mean, you can come over and have dinner with us. I should do that sometime when I'm in town. You should.
Starting point is 00:14:37 Oh, remember we talked about maybe doing the Haitian. Yeah. We can schedule that. Are your kids still scared of voodoo dolls? We haven't talked about it in a while, but I assume it's still the same. I wonder if they've gotten older and removed out of that. Maybe it's not a thing to them anymore. No, I think that would still be a thing to them.
Starting point is 00:15:00 Yeah. You don't want to bring it up and be like, hey, how do you feel about this? No. I don't know. I mean, I guess if it comes up organically, but no, I don't want to talk about it. Could you have one of them made and be like, if you're bad? No. No, I wouldn't do that to them.
Starting point is 00:15:16 Nope. But people in Haiti believe in that. Yes. Voodoo's practiced heavily there. Mm-hmm. Yeah. It's actually, fortunately. my kids were at an orphanage where it wasn't practiced.
Starting point is 00:15:29 Thank goodness, because I have friends that have adopted and they did practice it, and their kids are still dealing with stuff. Are you tired? No, I'm kind of waiting for, I kind of thought my latte would kick in a little, I think I'm hungry. Your energy level is definitely low. Oh, let me sit up. We're done anyway now. Yeah, but it was low today?
Starting point is 00:15:51 Well, now. Oh, yeah. Well, this is a post-show pre-show. I'm just talking like that. Oh, show, free show. Well, it's funny because I see Amy, you know, on the screen, and it starts at the beginning of the show, she starts in the middle of the screen,
Starting point is 00:16:02 and then as the show goes on, she slowly slides to the right and back. She gets drunk. She leans, yeah. I can sit up. Tell me something good. I can sit up, but I'm definitely hungry. We talked to, I feel like we were talking about food today at some point. We're talking about food every day.
Starting point is 00:16:20 Or in the break. Somebody was talking about something, and I'm just like, God, I'm so hungry. Every day. I kind of not eat right now. Why? My butt hole's injured. Wait, what? What is that?
Starting point is 00:16:30 Oh, so that you don't go to the bathroom? Yeah. Oh, okay. Well, you can't stop that, though. Eat, just lay off the metamusal and the probiotics and the, what is it? Boy, I did have a whole, what else you take. I didn't have a whole chemistry lab happening in there. But that's not what happened.
Starting point is 00:16:45 What happened was. Something lac. Yeah, Merrill lax. Miralax. Moza lax. Popa lach. Pupelax. If I had lax on it, I bought it.
Starting point is 00:16:53 L-A-X. I bought there. I hurt my butthole on my bike, that seat. I was really doing those kickbacks. Yeah. And I was like, ow,
Starting point is 00:17:05 that's what I kept rolling. Then it was hurt. I go to the doctor and it's like, all right, this is what you do. And it fixed. I thought, and first I heard it,
Starting point is 00:17:12 I freaking did it again. I got to stop doing those kickback. What do you call it on the seat? Do you know what those? Up downs. I don't know. They do have a name. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:21 Well, I did it again and they re-injured my bowhole. You're climbing and then you're back down It's like a hit, yeah So I have to Not eat anything Because what happens is why those Why injuries they're hurt
Starting point is 00:17:34 It's because you always got to use it Because you're constantly going to the bathroom You can't heal You use it every day I'm going on the IR for a BH Injured reserve for a butth Okay It's so tiny
Starting point is 00:17:49 You know how in your mouth do you get a cut And you feel like Oh this thing's huge I cannot believe they're cut out of my mouth It's so big it's dominated my whole world You know that feeling? Yes And it's just like you can't even see it
Starting point is 00:18:03 You pull your lip down in the mirror And it's like this is like a freaking part of a tic-tac At first I really didn't understand what you were talking about When you said you injured your butt He says butt full Amy What part did you know? I don't say that a long time ago He wasn't saying that
Starting point is 00:18:19 So I wasn't really getting exactly what happened until we have a mutual friend that she... Oh, this is a conversation? You guys sit around and do butthole talk? No, but she heard you talking about it. That's my newest podcast, butthole talk with Bobby. And she said she wanted to text you, but then she didn't want it to be weird,
Starting point is 00:18:35 but she was just like, I've never, not many people have experienced it. Not true. People just don't talk about it because they're embarrassed. Okay, fine, yes. Then that's what it is. Embrace your ballhole, everyone. It's a part of you.
Starting point is 00:18:47 Well, I have never heard of it. A butthole? The ricking, the hurt, the tear, whatever he. He did to it. And she said that it is. It's like the hardest thing to get over and it was so painful. And she wanted to just like send you a text to be like, I feel you. We have a support group.
Starting point is 00:19:02 Hers was with water. Like she got thrown off. She was riding a tube on a boat and it was going really fast. She got thrown off and the pressure from the water like rifted. Oh, that's not funny. It sucks. And she said it hurts so bad and it took so long. What's the chat room saying about this conversation, Morgan number two?
Starting point is 00:19:20 they're laughing butthole talk with Bobby great idea for a new podcast yeah yeah yeah welcome to butthole talk I'm your host I mean I guess if it is more people need to talk about it because I had never heard of it yeah a little bit I just talk about it because I know a lot of people are experiencing
Starting point is 00:19:38 butthole pain and I'm the voice of injured butthole so but I do have like a chemistry that in my belly because I've been taking all this stuff I just have some kind of stomach issue too that's non-related that's why you're going to take that peptone Boom. Shout out. They don't pay for that, by the way. I know. They're just sitting here. We were talking about
Starting point is 00:19:57 on our show how much people get paid for Instagrams. And what I mentioned is I'll do one every few months in an Instagram post, but it's only for people that I already have some sort of relationship with that I believe in. Like metamusal or Peptobisphal. I got two stomach issues
Starting point is 00:20:13 there. Or Bose, the general, which I'm going to do. And what would be great, too, is if I do them if you'll like it and write like, oh, I love this product. Just write that on Instagram. Because then they look at that and go, oh. Yeah, it's working. They're like, what?
Starting point is 00:20:26 This guy's a heck of an influencer. Yeah, so if you ever see that, just go to it. It'll be our inside joke. Be like, I'm glad you posted this, Bobby. I was just looking for something to fix my upset stomach. And they come to you for that stuff? Gosh, I didn't give me one of those. Get you one of what?
Starting point is 00:20:42 I want somebody to talk about on my Instagram, some company. Well, like, I talked to a- already like like and talk about and literally metamusel came to me because i was talking about them in an instagram post they had nothing to do with them and they were like hey uh you're already talking about us how about you talk about us and like do a ad yeah and it really wasn't even an ad it was like me being funnyish we're going hey check out metamusal that was it and like bows i wear bows everywhere i go all the time you do and they were like hey you're already wearing it let us be a sponsor and who doesn't use peptobisimal i do exactly
Starting point is 00:21:18 Thank you. Yeah, get you one of those. All right. Like I try to post a lot of Waterburger and they don't ever hit me up. Pizza Hut, every time I order pizza. Do you tag them? Yeah. Good for you. Nothing. I got to follow. I got followed by Pizza Hut and Waterberger, I think. But no ad stuff. Amy and I have had these conversations in the office before because people come to Amy like crazy to advertise on hers. Amy's a big time influencer. Not even with the numbers that she has. Although you do have 600,000 followers?
Starting point is 00:21:45 No, I'm not there yet. See what you got. It's like five something, but... Well, that's close. That's awesome. You have 545. Okay. But like Amy, like her people, rightfully so trust her. And so if Amy says something, they all, they do it or they at least check it out or believe in it.
Starting point is 00:22:01 I mean, I'm the same way if you tell me I believe in it. And so they come to her all the time and they're like, hey, we got these pills that'll turn your eyes yellow. It'd be fun. And they offer any money and she doesn't do it to our credit. She's like, nope, not going to do it. And we'll have that talk. Like, all right, what's our line? because we're not going to sell it.
Starting point is 00:22:17 We're not selling our Instagrams anyway. If so, it'd be every fifth post. But I guess I may do it once every two or three months. Yeah. And you do it. I've never done it. Oh, you haven't done it. No, I've never.
Starting point is 00:22:27 Well, let me say this. She hasn't done it. And they've been offering her money like crazy. We're just not going to chase that money. We're not going to do that. How many followers? No. I do have products that I definitely love.
Starting point is 00:22:40 And I'm like, maybe it'll know. I mean, because I genuinely love. Oh, I tag. Yeah. But I'm in, and I'll keep, I don't even care. if they ever say or do anything with it, because I know I'm a fan. Morgan number one's got to change
Starting point is 00:22:52 her Instagram name, huh? Morgan number two? No, Morgan number one. Oh, who doesn't work here anymore? She works for me over... Right. Her name's radio girl Morgan. She doesn't work in radio anymore.
Starting point is 00:23:02 What is she going to change it to? Bobby's... Regular girl Morgan. Whatever. Mike D's writing this on the screen for me. Yes, Morgan number two. Little Naz-X replied to you. Read it.
Starting point is 00:23:15 On Twitter? Yes. Is he mad? Should be. Does he say, just kidding? Now he goes. Stream it. You know artist said no control of why you blocked?
Starting point is 00:23:24 Why do you have to get slandered? Wait, what? Dude, hopefully people will go to my page. Wait, what? Did you say? Read that slower, I didn't understand. You know the artist has no control over what gets blocked. Why you sent me up to get slandered.
Starting point is 00:23:35 Okay. Okay. So it's not him. It's his people. Yeah. I mean, we've figured that. But you're setting him up to get slandered. I don't think so.
Starting point is 00:23:45 He just said that. people go check out the video because he retweeted it. Let's leave it up. Okay, yeah, yeah. All right. You don't need, but you reply to him and be like, make up with, like, you don't want beef with him, right? I don't have beef with anybody. Right.
Starting point is 00:23:59 But a legit question, and it's like, nothing, I really don't know. But if you are the artist, can't you tell your people or the publisher, whoever's saying, don't do that, can't you tell them like, hey, let them do that? Like, as the artist, do you have any control or no? Yeah, probably. Okay. You probably go say what up. Okay. That's a legit question. I just
Starting point is 00:24:18 figure the artist has some sort of control over his music. Most. Probably, yeah. He wrote the song. Okay. Yeah. That's what I thought. Eddie 167,000 followers. Lunchbox 278. M2 95.5.
Starting point is 00:24:34 Tracking toward 100. Get in there. Look at you. M1, 81.6,000. All right, there you go. What should I reply to Lola Zex? Yo. Nothing? Gosh, this is tough.
Starting point is 00:24:48 I don't know. Yo? Amy says started with yo. Yo. I know it's your people. All good. What is it all good though? No, but tell them they're stupid.
Starting point is 00:25:01 I'm going to say tell them what's up. Yeah, tell them what's up. It's a jam. Have you heard it? Tell them what's up. I just do that. That's vague. Tell them what's up.
Starting point is 00:25:11 It can mean anything. Tell them what's up. I'm going to be like, tell them what's up. you know. You know what's up. Hey, ask me if Kiyo's cool with you using it. Kiyo. Kiyo.
Starting point is 00:25:22 Who's that? The guy in the beginning of the song goes, Kiyo. He's the producer, I guess, who made the beat. Oh. Yeah. All right. Hopefully this will happen.
Starting point is 00:25:32 We'll get a little controversy. Yeah. They'll allow for streaming. Yeah. Then we'll probably do the BET Awards together next year. I'd love that. Me and Lola's X and Eddie. That's awesome.
Starting point is 00:25:42 All right, the end. We're going to go. I've got to go to a meeting. So we'll see you guys tomorrow. Yeah, I think tomorrow we're going to be that. Tomorrow, Thursday. All right, we'll see you guys. Bye everybody.

Starting point is 00:29:22 This is the Bobby Bones show. That's right. Now, here he is. Turn it up. Hey, welcome to the big Wednesday show. Just a little note. Marin Morris will be come by hanging out in the studio. So hopefully, well, one, she comes.
Starting point is 00:29:36 That'd be cool. And then two, you watch it or listen to it. Yeah. We have all that option. Morris Studio. Morning. Let's go over and talk to Karina in Ohio. Karina, thank you for being a part of the show.
Starting point is 00:29:46 How are you? I'm good. Good morning. First time caller. Hey, thank you very much. What would you like to say? Well, I wanted to let you know that. The past few years, we've had a really rough go with my son and some sicknesses. And we've all been a little down. Well, my husband and I took a little trip to Destin, Florida this weekend, and I read both of your books. And I just wanted to tell you, thank you, because you sent such a positive message to everybody.
Starting point is 00:30:12 completely changed my look on the outlife. My son is doing better. And all I can do now is keep thinking positively because I believe that's a great message that you have portrayed to everybody. So I wanted to say thank you. Oh, it's very nice of you. Well, I'm glad to hear that he's doing better. I guess in a sense I've healed him.
Starting point is 00:30:30 Oh. No? Yeah. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. I'm totally playing. I don't know how to react to people to say complimentary things. So I make a joke.
Starting point is 00:30:40 But that's very kind of. And I'll thank Amy as well because of pimp and joy. She's always got a positive attitude with that as well. And we kind of have a weird sense of humor. So pimp and joy was our thing. And I would wear it to the hospital when my son was very sick. And people would always say, um,
Starting point is 00:30:59 temp and joy mean. And then I would have to explain it. That's good. That's kind of the idea behind it was hopefully people would ask. Well, listen, thank you very much for calling. And I'm glad things are going all right for you. Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:31:11 Thank you. Bobby, we love watching you all the time on TV and listening to you. Ohio loved you. Thank you. So come to Ohio. Come to Ohio with raging idiots because I will be there with my husband and my son. Where do you live in Ohio? What town? I'm up towards Toledo, Ohio, but I would even go to Detroit to see you if I had to. If I had to. Mark that down, Mike D. All right. Hey, thank you. Have a great day. You too. Bye, bye, bye, guys.
Starting point is 00:31:38 I think sometimes, you know, I wrote a couple books. first one was kind of the story of my life called bare bones. And the last one I wrote that came out last year is called fail until you don't. For me, you know, a lot of people go, hey, just think positively and put the vibes. I'm not a vibe person. I may train yourself to be disciplined person. Because once you discipline yourself, you're set. Like you're giving yourself the tools. And so I think you have to think it to do it, but I'm a big doer. Like me riding my bike, I hate riding my bike. But I love it because I do it and it's there and I've now trained myself. two o'clock I'm on the bike and there you I write it down write your goals down do it so as much as you know people go I love your attitude I'm a big believer in attitude kind of creates your discipline and if you do it a few times you kind of you've trained yourself to be disciplined doing and then you just kind of stay with it if you see results like like Dave says right didn't they say that like as soon as you start seeing results it makes you want to hang in there a little longer yes oh yeah and that's what it's like with that bike too that's just a metaphor me you'd ride in that bike but I hate it but I do it because I know that
Starting point is 00:32:40 long term, it's the right move. Here's the Bobby Bones show podcast, highlight segment of the day. Now time for our fantasy draft, and today we will be drafting fantasy Chris's. Any Chris, the only rule. There are no rules in the rule book except draft your favorite Chris. That's the only rule. Now, each person has three picks. It'll be three rounds.
Starting point is 00:33:03 Amy goes first, and it'll go Amy, Lunchbox, Eddie, Morgan, number two, myself. And it goes... Lunchbox is first. Yeah. So it goes, lunchbox. and then we go backward to make it even. All right, Lunchbox, with the first pick of the Chris draft.
Starting point is 00:33:17 Who are you selecting? It's easy, guys. Number one pick, I mean, first Chris that comes to your mind when you think Chris, you want to laugh all the time. So I'm hanging out all the time with Chris Rock. Oh, solid number one. Solid. Solid number one pick.
Starting point is 00:33:30 All right, Eddie. Yep, this is easy, guys. I mean, I have to get him early because I'm sure a lot of you guys have them on your list. I'm going with Jesus Christ. I was going to pick Christmas. I was going to pick Christmas. He is the original Chris Jesus Christ.
Starting point is 00:33:43 Now, listeners may not, listen, they're voting. Wow. Yeah, you didn't. Hey, Amy, you didn't think about that, did you? I didn't. I didn't. I thought of legit Christmas. Can I still pick Christmas?
Starting point is 00:33:52 I can still pick Christmas. I think so. Father Christmas maybe? Let's see how it comes back. There's just Christmas in general. That's a day. That's not a person. It's just your favorite Chris.
Starting point is 00:33:59 We're not arguing about rules, guys. Right. That's the only rule. Just play the game. If you don't follow the rule, listeners won't vote you in. By the way, there's no fighting in this game anymore. If anyone fight, they just go home.
Starting point is 00:34:08 You just go home. Tired of all the fighting. Morgan number two, you're up. I was going to do Christmas, but I'll... Oh, come on. Wait, wait, wait. Wait, I'll let you have it. I'm going to go with Chris Hemsworth.
Starting point is 00:34:20 Solid Chris Pick. Solid. If you can't go Christmas, go Chris Hensworth. Yeah, right. They're taking them all. Are you nervous bones? Well, that Christmas pick, though, you've already picked Christ, which starts with CHR-I-S.
Starting point is 00:34:34 Correct, Chris. Chris. I'm going to go with With the fourth pick in the draft I'm going to go with Chris Pratt Solid Yeah
Starting point is 00:34:48 I just feel like there's a lot of value in that pick right here I'm going to go Chris Pratt Amy I'm going Another funny guy Chris Farley Oh that's a good on Amy I'll take him off my list All right dead
Starting point is 00:35:01 We already got Chris Rock That's okay I know just making sure people know Oh, are you tainting my list? No. Go ahead. Oh, Jesus Christ is dead too. You get, not in my mind. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:10 He's risen. Good one, bones. You get two. You're right. Your second pick, Amy? Oh, oh, yeah. Back round to me. Chris Jenner, baller businesswoman,
Starting point is 00:35:20 mom of the Kardashians. How fun is that? Good one. Yeah. I'm pretty solid like Chris. For my second pick, I will pick Christmas. That's right. In the second round,
Starting point is 00:35:28 my favorite Chris is Christmas. Boom. Thank you. Thank you very much. Morgan, Number two. In the fantasy draft, the second round, who's your next Chris? I'm going with another very attractive actor, Chris Evans. She's going to win again for all the looks.
Starting point is 00:35:45 Hey, pander to who you want to pander to. Okay. Eddie. I'm going to stay with the Christmas theme, and I'm going to go with Santa Claus. Chris Cringle. Oh, wow. Thank you very much. Thank you. Dude, you got Christa, Crangle.
Starting point is 00:35:59 We're done. She's done. Oh, gosh. Okay. Good luck. Wow. And he's the GM of the year. Come on, guys.
Starting point is 00:36:09 Well, let's just see who he brings in third. He's the Theo Epstein over the Chris draft. Dude. Wow. Yeah, what you got? Two solid picks. Lunchbox, the last pick of the second round. It's easy, guys.
Starting point is 00:36:21 I'm going to be laughing a lot with Chris Rock, and I need a good concert and enjoy. So I'm going with Chris Martin. Solid pick. Good one. Adam is a possible third rounder here. I'll scratch him off. All right. lunchbox, you get your last pick here.
Starting point is 00:36:36 Oh, I do. Okay. Well, I am going to have to have another concert and just give me Chris Cornell. Oh, RIP. Rest and peace. All right. Eddie? This one's tough, guys. For the last one, I'm going to go with the man that discovered America, Christopher Columbus. He's a murderer!
Starting point is 00:36:55 You should never pick him! Wow! He went to Haiti and killed everybody. And that's not nice. Jesus and Christopher Columbus will not get a lot. I'm just letting you know right now. Yeah, good point. That's like, you don't want infighting your team.
Starting point is 00:37:07 The third round got him. Oh, Jesus won't judge him. Oh, Jesus forgives. Jesus forgives. Which for Columbus was a bad dude. I know he was. That's a controversial pick. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:18 Then I'll get a lot of press this season. Ooh. All right. Morgan number two. Your third round, Chris. I'm going to stick with my actors and go with Chris Pine. Okay, from Star Trek. What else he do?
Starting point is 00:37:32 He's in a lot He's also very attractive Well, I got a couple of Chris's up here We're getting down to the nitty gritty here on the Chris's And so far I have Chris Pratt Which I feel is pretty solid The space movie What's I called?
Starting point is 00:37:49 Captains of America Guardians of the Galaxy Thank you Chris Pratt and then I have Christmas Which I feel is strong Christmas My third pick
Starting point is 00:38:00 is The Notorious Beiourious B-I-G, Christopher Wallace. Wow. That is so good. Thank you very much. No one thought about that. Nobody not that one.
Starting point is 00:38:10 Biggie. Amy, who's your third round, Chris? I'm just hoping he brings his harmonica, Chris Jansen. Oh, solid. Solid Chris. And playing toward our audience. Yeah. They know.
Starting point is 00:38:21 I mean, it's going to be fun. They know. Wow. I'm looking at the teams here. Eddie, I love your picks. Thank you. The first two, I thought, give this guy in a way.
Starting point is 00:38:29 He's won the championship. Yeah. And then I came out with the Christopher Columbus. But if people know, I don't think a lot of people really understand how bad of a dude Christopher Columbus was. So maybe they'll just see it.
Starting point is 00:38:38 Where are they voting Morgan number two on this? Facebook. Okay, so they may not know. And do we have proof of all this or is this just hearsay? No. No, like my friends that are teachers are like, sometimes they don't like teaching about it because it's like.
Starting point is 00:38:53 And by the way, he never came to America. You know that, right? No. No, no, no. Where did he go? He went to the islands and they think it's Haiti. Oh. And so when they were looking for,
Starting point is 00:39:02 back into history going, we need to act like America has been more established. When can we say someone discovered America? They were like, well, you know, Christopher Columbus, let's just say he discovered America in 1492. He never actually came to the mainland. He just sailed back. That's not what they taught us in school. I know. Right, just why my friends that are teachers struggle.
Starting point is 00:39:18 Kill people. Help people is bad. Yeah, I didn't do that research before. I drafted him. Yeah. That happened sometimes. Yeah. You should know your player's history.
Starting point is 00:39:26 Oh, you want to trade them? I might trade them later. Okay. You give me Christopher Columbus. For Christmas. And I'll give you a third round pick in 2021. And anyone you want. All right.
Starting point is 00:39:37 Think about it. Let me say this, by the way, because CMA Fest is coming up. And Marin Morris was in earlier. And a big Marin Morris fan, she will be performing. She will have a spot with her and Brandy Carlisle. But CMA Fest, Sunday, August 4th at 8.7 Central. It is a three-hour special. And it's hosted by two of my favorite hosts, Thomas Wright and Kelsey Ballerini.
Starting point is 00:39:59 And one host said, well, we'll just see how it goes. That's me. That's me. That's right. Please watch. We could use the ratings. Special collaborations including Little Nausex with Billy Ray Cyrus and Keith Urban. Obviously, Chris Jansen, who's on Amy's All-Christ team, will be performing.
Starting point is 00:40:12 Are you any of the Chris's? No. But people like Blake Shelton and Thomas Red. And I don't know, there's a lot of people playing. A lot. There you go. Is Blake Shelton on it? He's a dot here.
Starting point is 00:40:22 I don't think I saw Blake. It's a show. Maybe that's a wrong. But it says Blake Shelton, right? I don't know. Anyway, watch it. Please watch it. CMFest.com, which by the way,
Starting point is 00:40:33 our family feud ratings for our show, they were up. Oh, really? We had a good number. Yeah. Oh. We had a good number. Yeah, pretty pumped about that.
Starting point is 00:40:41 We got iHeartRadio put out the podcast results. We had the number one podcast too and the whole company, which is crazy. It's amazing. I'm just so thankful to our listeners that allow us to go on and do stuff because nobody thinks we're going to do anything. It means like, who cares about the people from country?
Starting point is 00:40:54 That's always the word. Who cares about the people from country? By the balance, he's from country. Nobody cares. That's kind of what is said by all. all the elites, all the coasters. They're all like, country, who cares? And I'm like, you know, who cares?
Starting point is 00:41:06 Normal folks. Like, put me on. I represent them. They're going to watch. Anyway, then we lost. And John Pardy was still mad. All right. Let me talk to George and Virginia real quick.
Starting point is 00:41:18 George is calling the Bobby Bone Show right now. George, how are you, bud? Hey, pretty good. How you doing, buddy? We're good. We just had our all-christ fantasy draft. How'd you feel about that? Definitely, you know,
Starting point is 00:41:33 The whole fantasy of it is kind of cool. Yeah, a lot of Chris is hanging in that fantasy. What would you like to say? I just want to say, man, I appreciate all y'all. I've been listening to you all since all started pretty much. I've, you know, write country music whenever I can, which y'all inspired me to don't give up as I'm a dad, you know, how it gets. And it's just like you got to grind and do what you need to do, get things done.
Starting point is 00:41:56 But I'm driving the Surrey, Virginia, today. Kind of near Jamestown, by the way. But I just want to say thank you to everybody that's listening. And you guys are awesome. Keep doing what you're doing. And keep grinding, brother. Well, thanks, man. I appreciate that.
Starting point is 00:42:09 Remember, it's not over until you quit. So the only time that your dream is over is when you quit. When you quit dreaming, that's when it's over. Otherwise, keep at it. Keep plugging away. We'll do, brother. All right, thank y'all so much. The Bobby Bones Show.
Starting point is 00:42:22 Big Three Stories. Remundo's got the news here on Wednesday. What you got, Remundo? In Cape Cod, Massachusetts, more than four. 50,000 people are without power. A rare tornado created 100 mile an hour winds, ripping off roofs, downing power lines and trees. In Yellowstone National Park, a 9-year-old girl was struck and thrown into the air by a charging bison.
Starting point is 00:42:43 The girl's been released from the hospital. She's doing fine. And finally in pet news, New York becomes the first state to ban declawing your cats. You're going to get a $1,000 fine if they find out that you did it. So there's a new Bobby cast up with Thomas Red. We talked for over an hour. And it was in this Bobbycast that he announced he's having another baby, which came out yesterday.
Starting point is 00:43:04 Wow. And I told him, I said, I'll hold it and let you do the announcement. Crazy. Yeah, so here he is. You've seen now on social media that him and his wife are having another baby, and here's him talking to me about that on the Bobbycast. We're having a baby. Wow.
Starting point is 00:43:19 Yeah. Look at that. It's pretty wild, man. Potent you are. I know, and it's a girl. Three girls. Three girls. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:28 Just when I thought life could not. get any crazier. We're having another girl. And when is the baby going to be, or do you know? February 3rd. And you know it's a girl? Yeah. We did the blood test thing, where you can do the genetic testing. I don't know, but that's what you do now? So you can do a blood, I think it's
Starting point is 00:43:43 10 weeks where you can do a blood test, and you can find out the gender and you can find out, you know, kind of all the stuff about your baby, and so yeah, we're having a girl. We found out yesterday. Our whole family came over when we shut off these cannons that either blue or pink colors. And my whole family was convinced. It was a boy. Like, I already had boy names picked out.
Starting point is 00:43:59 and we shot these cannons off and it was pink and I was like, dear Lord, three weddings, three weddings. That's true. As a dad, you're going to have to marry off three daughters. Three daughters. And we're not even done. I mean, Lauren wants to have five kids, so who knows. Now, are you shooting toward five? Are you going to shoot toward until you get a boy? Like, right now what's in your mind? Are you just shooting toward, let's just get this one and make sure everything comes out all right? Yeah, we're definitely focused on this one for sure. and me and Lauren both would love,
Starting point is 00:44:29 we would love to adopt again whenever the time was right and yeah, I mean, Lauren's number is five, I think when we get to five, my wife will probably be like, we can do six. That's just the kind of person my wife is
Starting point is 00:44:39 and my brain I'm going, we're art, how are we going to do this? Like, we're going to have to have nine tour buses for our girls on the road. You know, having girls, man, I think before we had kids, I always thought that I was meant to be kind of the dad that had boys.
Starting point is 00:44:53 But now that I've had girls, my heart has softened so much and I have never, I've never looked in anybody like I look at my girls. Like, it is nuts. The emotion that you feel, I'm beyond excited to have a girl. But I do look forward to hopefully having a boy one day. There he is. Thomas Rett. Wow, that's so exciting.
Starting point is 00:45:09 So he's having another baby. And you can hear that whole conversation. It's over an hour long. It really was a fantastic conversation. It's always nice to get in my buddies because you don't have to worry about that whole, ooh, where do I go? How do I get there? But check out the latest Bobbycast with Thomas Rett.
Starting point is 00:45:23 Search Bobbycast, wherever you listen to your podcasts, like iHeart radio and yeah as you heard yesterday's having another baby and that was his first talk about it. This story is so funny and I'm glad I wasn't there. But Disney World Tourist did not have a fast pass to a ride, which a fast pass is you can go on, you can buy one and you get to basically cut line. Yeah. You only buy one an hour or so. So she didn't have one of these and she wanted to go on Tower of Terror, which is that ride at Disney that takes you up and drops you, I think. Yes, yes.
Starting point is 00:45:53 I've been on it. It's amazing. Okay, so she's like, I don't have a fast pass. I want to get on this ride. They said no, so she punched an employee and then started pressing all the buttons. What? What? Yeah, like at the podium just started slamming buttons.
Starting point is 00:46:06 Not good. A Chicago tourist who was angry, she didn't have a fast pass, ended up punching a cast member in the face and began pushing all the buttons. And an employee said, hey, don't do that. That could have an effect on the ride. The 23-year-old woman wasn't charged because the Disney worker didn't want to press charges. Oh, too nice. The attack began when her and her group
Starting point is 00:46:26 Oh, her group was so embarrassed, right? Of course. Oh, it has to be. What if it's a church group? Unless they're all obnoxious. They were upset their fast passes weren't valid for the Tower of Terror, which, because it was a long wait.
Starting point is 00:46:38 They say no fast passes on this line, apparently. The incident was right there where everybody watches like the Twilight Zone introduction, they say. And so, again, the scene just continued to escalate. She goes, hey, you should stop. and that's when she pushed the girl's hands away and then she punched the cast member in the face
Starting point is 00:46:56 that she goes over and starts hitting all the buttons is the whole thing what does she want to do with all the buttons I wonder make it crash? Yeah. Is that her goal by hitting all the buttons? If she can't be on it, nobody's going to have a good time. Or what are the people that are on it? Does she want to be like, like break their legs?
Starting point is 00:47:09 Oh, that would be so awful. We don't tolerate unsafe behavior a Disney spokeswoman said I thought that story was funny. I was laughing before we went on the air with it. Yeah, but she should be in trouble. The cast members should press charges. You know, it shouldn't be on the cast member.
Starting point is 00:47:22 be on the park. Okay, the park, yeah. Sure. Somebody. If she punched somebody in the face, if I was on that ride and someone starts hitting buttons when I'm on the ride and it could make it go faster or stop, I'd be ticked. I saw where there was some bad weather and they had to stop some of the rides the other day and they just stick you. You're just there wherever you stop. Oh, that's the worst. I mean, I've never experienced it, but to be on a roller coaster upside down. Yeah, you see that sometimes where it's hanging upside down for like four hours and people were just stuck up there. Oh my gosh. No, because I always am nervous that my little harness thing is going to come loose, even on the ride.
Starting point is 00:48:00 More about blood rushing in my head just for a long time more than it. Because I don't think that's ever going to drop. I don't think the harness is going to let me go. Oh, I do. I think about how miserable it will be just all the blood pulsing into your head for hours. The latest from Nashville and Hollywood. Morgan No. 2nd 20-second skinny. Thomas Wrett announced that he and his wife Lauren are expecting their third child.
Starting point is 00:48:20 he talked all about the baby news with Bobby on the latest episode of the Bobby cast. We're having a baby. Wow. Yeah. Look at that. It's pretty wild, man. Potent you are. I know, and it's a girl.
Starting point is 00:48:32 Three girls. Three girls. Yeah. Just when I thought life could not get any crazier, we're having another girl. That's your skinny. It's time for the good news with Amy.
Starting point is 00:49:05 Tell me something good. Man, there's two little girls and they are awesome. Sisters, 113, 1-8 years old, and they are reading bedtime stories on Facebook live for other kids whose parents might be too busy at bedtime to read to them. What? Oh, that's pretty good. Yeah. How many people watch those stories, does it say? How many? Yeah. Well, they have like a hundred or so viewers, but they're going up.
Starting point is 00:49:30 They were on Inside Edition. Oh, well, obviously. Once you hit Inside Edition, you made it. So they'll gain traction, but one of the girls' name is Zaria, and the other one is Haley. So shout out to them. Each Sunday, the girls visit the library to pick out the books that they're going to read for the week, and then they read stories five nights out of the week.
Starting point is 00:49:49 That is really cool. I bet you they get a lot more viewers because it's making the news. Yeah, for sure. And again, once you make Inside Edition, your whole world changes. And honestly, I mean, I'll hook them up with my kids. Sometimes I do not feel like doing that nighttime reading. I'm so tired. Stevenson's like, Mom, will you read to me?
Starting point is 00:50:08 And I'm like, mm, not tonight, buddy. Mom, please. You're like, you know, here's friends. There's Netflix. No, because there's no Netflix in their rooms, but I might take my computer and they'd be like, I have a special treat. Zaria and Hay.
Starting point is 00:50:21 are going to read to you. Thanks, girls. I was watching your Insta story and your daughter was watching some Arabic show on YouTube. Yeah, and now she wants to go, well, she doesn't know how to say it, but she's like, can we go to Arabic?
Starting point is 00:50:33 Like, she wants to travel to Arabic. And yeah, but that, this little, yeah, Arabic kid, some show that's on YouTube. I mean, it's kind of funny, but I have no idea what they're saying. And it's got 18 million views. And when I posted about it,
Starting point is 00:50:48 I got so many replies from people. They're like, yeah, all my kids watch are these weird YouTube videos, I have no idea what they are. And I don't even know why they're into it, but they are. How'd they find it? I have no idea. I think she goes,
Starting point is 00:50:59 most, it just shows up as popular or most searched or something, and she somehow, or suggested for you for some reason. She loves watching things in all kinds of languages. Good. Maybe that's good. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:11 Do she still practice her Creole or French? No, sometimes. Like last week, this Haitian babysitter that we have came over, and she'll speak Creel with her because she's like a college student here in Nashville still speaks Creel and yeah so that's when she gets to use it but other
Starting point is 00:51:27 than that, like poor Stevenson I think he's like forgotten at all which bums me out but well listen we don't want to end in a sour note Oh okay that is tell me something good That was tell me something good Bobid Bone Show Bonehead This story of the day
Starting point is 00:51:42 This story comes with us from Garden City Georgia A woman went into McDonald's ordered some food some fries left and she came back about 10 minutes later, pulls out a gun, boom, fires it into the floor and says, why are my fries cold? Into the floor. Yeah, she wanted to get their attention. So they gave her new fries, gave her a refund.
Starting point is 00:52:01 She drove away, but they wrote her license plate down. She was arrested a few blocks later. How'd she get a gun? I guess she had it in her car, and when she came back, she was angry. She had to come back for the fries that were cold. I'm assuming she didn't get that from a background check establishment. Stable. I would think no one that shoots into the floor.
Starting point is 00:52:19 of a McDonald's would be cleared as someone that has a stable background. Yeah, wow, that's crazy. And she didn't have a mask on. No, she didn't have a mask on or anything. They just wrote down her license plate and no word on if she ate the fries before she got pulled over. It's probably a bad day. You know? All right, lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:52:34 I'm Lunchbox. That's your Bonehead story of the day. Starting point is 00:56:09 but I think it's because it was like the 80s. I don't know. It's so weird to me. A woman spent on the weekend with her grandmother was surprised by the interior of her house. And so this was on Reddit. And so she was like, hey, I go into the bathroom. There's carpet everywhere.
Starting point is 00:56:26 I want to take a shower. And I was getting my clothes ready. And I was carpet on the ground. Is that disgusting or not? Yes. Do you think it's disgusting, like, visually or, like, germy? Just, like, water. I feel like everywhere.
Starting point is 00:56:40 I don't like it. More difficult to clean. Like, yeah. I just have flashbacks of how it felt when I would get out of the bath or the shower at my parents' house and like anywhere. Like it was in their entire bathroom, like where the toilet was everything. I mean, they had a pretty spacious bathroom and it was entirely carpet. For me, it's more of Jeremy because as a dude, sometimes in the middle of the night you just miss the toilet.
Starting point is 00:57:01 Peeing. Yeah. That means there's pee in the carpet. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That was a weird. Lunchbox, what do you think about a carpet and bathroom?
Starting point is 00:57:08 Oh, I love it. I love it because I love when I take my shoes off to rub my feet on carpet. So it is the best feeling ever. But what? where your wet feet when you get out of the shower Have you ever done it? Yeah, a mat's different And you can throw that in the wash
Starting point is 00:57:21 Which you should Yeah, y'all wash those right? Your shower mats? Yeah, I do. I mean, I shake them out I throw probably every three months What? You should wash it more
Starting point is 00:57:33 My shower mat? Yeah The thing you step out on Right when you get out of shower? You know what? I don't have a shower mat I do put a towel down Oh, okay
Starting point is 00:57:40 Now that I think about it I don't have a shower mat And you know what I don't even put a towel down all the time. I just... Get out wet? Nope. I dry off in the shower for the most part. Oh, see, that's interesting. That's a debate too that I had with a friend recently. It's like, do you
Starting point is 00:57:53 do you dry off inside the shower or outside? I dry off inside because I don't always have a towel to put under there. And mostly and I don't know if you're going to think less of me after this, I only usually have about one clean towel. I'm a single guy. I keep about one towel clean and I just kind of keep it on a one towel rotation. Yeah. And so
Starting point is 00:58:10 that's why I don't have a towel to put down, so I just dry off completely in the shower and then get it. I'm a towel to put down. I just dry off completely in the shower and then get out and then go fetch my underwear. That makes sense. You? I, outside. I get out. I get out. I get out of the shower. It's on the hook outside of the shower. I step out, grab it, and towel off. And I don't really towel off that much. Just one little scrub and I'm usually wet when I put my clothes on. Yeah. Yeah, that's gross. Yeah, you should dry. Here are the three biggest songs in country music at number three, Blake Shelton God's Country.
Starting point is 00:58:44 God's country. That song was number one for two weeks, and it's number three this week. Congratulations to Blake Shelton, massive song. At number two, Luke Combs, Beer Never Broke My Heart. Well, it's your new number one song this week here on the countdown. It's Eric Church, Some of It, here we go.
Starting point is 00:59:21 I think this week, Marin Morris' song goes number one. If I'm guessing, and she's going to come in later today. Oh, cool. So I think that Girl will be the number one song this week, if I'm having a look ahead in the future. On the pop side, the number one song is I don't care Ed Sheerin, Justin Bieber, here you go
Starting point is 00:59:44 Because I don't care When I'm with my baby, yeah All the bad things disappear But you're making me feel Maybe I am somebody You like that one? Yeah I like this part right here
Starting point is 00:59:57 When I'm with my baby Yeah That's good And the number one alternative song And I love this band And I love their newest record It's head in the heart This is called Mist Connection
Starting point is 01:00:08 There you go Those are your big songs and music Yes, Bobby Bones McKinley in Oklahoma is on the phone Hey McKinley, welcome to the Bobby Bones show Hi Bobby, I wanted to know how your dog was doing and how everyone on the show was doing
Starting point is 01:00:33 All right, well I'll start with the dog My dog is now 10 weeks old, 11 weeks old Living his life, he's actually pretty fun to hang out with sometimes He used to be fun to hang out with no times Because he was so puppy and just was biting all the time Now he kind of chills out about 18% of the time. He eats the floor now, which is his new thing.
Starting point is 01:00:54 But he's not chewing on humans as much. Still some. I try to wear him out in the daytime. He jumped in the pool with his life jacket on by himself. Oh, that's fun. He's only 14 pounds. He's still small. But I put the life jacket on him.
Starting point is 01:01:07 And he knew what to do? Well, I was in it and he was annoyed. He wasn't with me. Yeah. And he's annoyed wearing the life jacket. But he's like, all right, I'm out. He just jumped right in. That's so cute.
Starting point is 01:01:17 And he didn't just swim around. He was like, uh-oh, well, now what do I do? So I grabbed him, and I just kind of moved him around. I just want to make them comfortable with water. Bulldogs are not supposed to be swimming by themselves. They have so much skin, they sink. But you put a life jacket on them. And they're fine?
Starting point is 01:01:30 Yeah. Cool. So it's pretty good. For another week or so, I'm going to have someone come and walk him at one in the morning. And so it's like a dog walker. For most people, they'd have someone come at noon if they were gone for eight hours. For me, someone comes at one in the morning because my schedule's a bit odd. And I think it's going pretty good.
Starting point is 01:01:47 He eats. He loves. He knows. what that means. I'm not sure he knows his name yet, which is Stanley. That'll come soon, right? I think. But that's how the dog's going. And I'm doing pretty good. Thanks for asking. We've got a pretty good show. Amy, what's going on with you? How are you doing? I'm doing great. Like, everything's really good. My kids are in their last few weeks of summer, and we're just trying to enjoy and soak it all up before they hit the grind. Lunchbox,
Starting point is 01:02:10 how you doing? Man, I'm doing great. My co-ed soccer team has started the season 4 and 0. We go for game number 5 tonight, so we're undefeated in first place. And I mean, looking like the class of the league right now. And Eddie, producer Eddie, how are you doing? I'm getting better. My wife had a pneumonia, so she's kind of been like really in bed a lot and kind of just tired. She's pushing through, but I mean, I've been having to carry that dad load. And so I'm a little tired, but I mean, I'm getting better and she's
Starting point is 01:02:36 feeling a lot better now, so we're in the up and up. Well, McKinley, I hope we answered all that for you. Thank you. All right. Thanks for calling. There she is. McKinley. By the way, Ed Sheeran bought the houses on both sides of his home because he was getting noise complaints. And so he goes, all right, you guys want to complain? I'll just buy your house. Baller. From his music?
Starting point is 01:02:56 Parties? All. Just life. Sure. Being Ed Sheeran. As Amy says life. He's a life. Ed Sharon owned a $25 million home in London, but was having trouble with his neighbors complaining. So he bought both properties. It's another $5 million. And you know his property, I mean, I have no idea, but I'm picturing
Starting point is 01:03:12 because I haven't seen a picture. But surely, if it's $25 million, he's on some land, right? And then there's probably land. Like it's not like his neighbors are probably right next door unless he's in one of those flats. Neighbors are pretty close. Oh, they are? Yeah, they're pretty close. Okay, never mind.
Starting point is 01:03:27 Leo DiCaprio has a no eye contact policy. What? And he had it on the set of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, that new movie. According to a new report from the Hollywood Reporter, he maintains such an inimatic persona in the movie that it actually is what he wanted on the set. What do you think about that? That's crazy to me. Quote, off camera, DiCaprio has maintained a carefully crafted air of mystery. Some crew members on once upon a time were instructed to avoid making eye contact with them according to an onset source, which sounds intense.
Starting point is 01:04:04 The revelation was made a part of the analysis looking into DiCaprio in what they call Hollywood's last movie star. So that's an interesting thing. I always find it interesting that people think people looking at them in the eyes is some sort of, insult or means you're even if you look me in the eyes. Like I require everybody to only stare in my eyes the whole time walk down the hall. Yeah. Everybody must make eye contact with the whole time.
Starting point is 01:04:28 Awkwardly. Just hold it everywhere I go. That's always a weird thing that you hear about people doing that I've never actually heard of anyone's name specifically mentioned in it. Like don't make eye contact. But they say the Caprio had that. Didn't Steve Harvey have something one time? Don't talk to him. Steve Harvey was like, when I'm walking down the hall after a show, don't stop me and talk to me.
Starting point is 01:04:47 Yeah. Let me get to my room because I'm tired. Like, set an email. Let's have a meeting. Like, I got it. Yeah, he got some, he got some bad publicity, but I kind of agreed. He's busy with what he was saying about himself. He's like, I just got off the air. I'm trying to get to my room and kind of relax down for a second. Like, please don't stop me in the hallway. Let me get my moment. And people are like, oh, Steve Harvey. And you know what? Probably DiCaprio, the story, probably not as crazy as they write. I don't know. It just says DeCaprio has no eye contact policy. I'm working and I'm tired of people looking at me in the end. My eyes are so tired.
Starting point is 01:05:18 They just, I need my moment. They're tired of having contact. So, yeah. That movie does look good though. Is this the Steve Harvey note, Mike? Okay, here's the Steve Harvey note. Good morning, everyone. Welcome back.
Starting point is 01:05:30 I like you all to review and adhere to the following notes and rules for season five of my talk show. There will be no meetings in my dressing room. No stopping by or popping in. No one. They're not come to my dressing room unless invited. By the way, this is me talking. I'm totally in on this so far. This is his rule.
Starting point is 01:05:45 I don't have the same rules, but this is his rule. do not open my dressing room door if you open my door expect to be removed my security team will stop everyone from standing in my door who have the intent to see or speak to me I want all the ambushing to stop you must schedule an appointment is this nuts yeah
Starting point is 01:06:01 do you think it is I mean I don't think it's nuts but then when you really think about it you're like okay I get it because he's busy but yeah for him to have to put it out there is a little bit nuts well for him to put it out there in email where people could post it that's part of it I just told them all yeah I'm seeking more free time for me
Starting point is 01:06:17 throughout the day. I hate being ambushed. I promise I will not entertain you in the hallway. If you're reading this, I mean you. If you're reading this, I mean you. I can't imagine being that famous and everybody always wanted to talk to you. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's a problem we don't have. But I don't hate that note. I'd like to see DiCaprio's note. Don't look me in the eye. When I walk down, the trailer, do not look me in the face. Keep your head down at all times. And I mean you. Here's Amy's pile of stories. So there's this dad who has decided to completely take his son out of school so he can focus on video games full time.
Starting point is 01:06:55 Oh, wow. How old's the kid? He's 16 years old. But he's been gaming like a lot of his life. His dad said he put a gaming controller in his hand at three years old. He was a natural. And at like 10, he was winning all sorts of tournaments already. And now at 16, like he sees the potential. And I guess so far the kid has earned about $60,000 from gaming. So the dad's basically like, we got this. How do you feel about that? I mean, I guess it's, he's 16, as long as he maybe complete some sort of homeschooling program or maybe he can get his GED or something.
Starting point is 01:07:25 I mean, it's no different than sometimes like Taylor Swift moving to Nashville at what, 14 or 15 to pursue her career. Yeah, I'm glad you came around on that because I could tell the beginning you were like, I'm dumb. I'm glad you came around. Yeah, when I think about how other kids, if they've got a true talent and I mean, e-sports is like a thing. And that what it's called? Yeah, music. sports, gaming. Listen, if you just want to start your career, building houses,
Starting point is 01:07:51 it's good to finish school. But I don't have a problem with that. Especially the kid's 16, he's not 12. You know, at 16, you don't want to go to school. You just don't go to school. You need to drive away. And now I go, yeah, I'm okay with it, too. What else you got?
Starting point is 01:08:04 So 40% of people say that they regret how they've lived in their life, like so far, and I have the list of the five biggest regrets. All right, yeah, number five in the biggest, this is the saddest list of all time. Okay, okay. Well, no, it's stuff you can... I regret.
Starting point is 01:08:18 It's stuff we can focus on now to make a change. Number five. Not being a better parent. Not being a better parent? Well, that's kind of vague. Don't you always feel like regardless of how good you did that you could have done better as a parent? Well, I think it's week to week.
Starting point is 01:08:33 Like, you could... Overall, I hope that I would look back thinking I was a good parent. But some weeks I'm better than others. Like, some weeks I'm more involved. Some weeks I'm more engaged. Some weeks I'm less annoyed. I would say, though, that's such a big thing that I don't know that you can hit peak parenting.
Starting point is 01:08:46 all the time. I think every parent probably thinks that. No. For any parents out there like nailed it? Well, maybe occasionally. Okay. Number four on the biggest regrets in life. Working too much. I feel like probably you might regret that.
Starting point is 01:09:00 You do? Yes, you've worked too much. You don't live. The only time that ever resonates with me that I may work too much is when I hear people that I think I'm similar to that are older than me say the same thing. I will watch that David Letterman series and he goes, you know what, I wish I just would have kids earlier because he waited until he was older to have kids.
Starting point is 01:09:19 Yeah. He was like, in his 50s. And he was like, I just wish I would have kids earlier. And I'm nutty. He's nutty. And I was like, man, maybe I'm going to think about this too if I ever have kids. I'd like to have kids.
Starting point is 01:09:30 Does anyone have a kid with me? What are you doing today, Eddie? I'm busy. Oh, you have four kids. I'm good. All right, number three, Amy. Not spending enough time with their family. All right.
Starting point is 01:09:39 Number two? Not taking better care of their health. Yeah, that's a big one. And the number one thing people regret at most? Not traveling more. Probably because they're working too much. Or they're just broke. Like, I didn't go anywhere the first 30 years of my life.
Starting point is 01:09:54 I don't have any money. You poor. You're trying to pay the rent more so than, you know, go to Ethiopia. Did people go to Ethiopia? Yes. They do. Probably not many, but yeah, I think so. All right.
Starting point is 01:10:06 And final story over there. So there's this guy, and he calls himself the sleep artist. And he says he does amazing drawings and people. paintings in his sleep, but has no artistic ability when he's awake. Interesting. Yeah. So here's what I was thinking when I read this. I was like, oh, this is totally like a marketing thing because he calls himself the sleep
Starting point is 01:10:26 artist. And he creates celebrity portraits, abstracts. He sells them for thousands of dollars. And he does it while he's asleep? Right. Oh, you're not believing. Like it's like his angle. You know, every artist needs their angle.
Starting point is 01:10:39 And it's like definitely a good one. Like, you know, when you have your friends over and you've got your new piece of art, hanging. They may ask you about it. It's like a conversation starter. Oh, I bought it from this artist that only paints in his sleep. You know? It is a thing. It's intriguing. So I feel like that's how he's getting it out there. So if you're looking for an angle, I don't know. I'm going to start painting pictures and saying my dog did it because I'm bad, but I'll be like, no, this is my dog. He's actually good. Yeah. Yeah. It's not me. I'll watch them do it. He won't do what people are watching. Yeah. Unless this guy really does, I mean, we sleepwalk, people eat, sleep eat. And eat walk. Two different things.
Starting point is 01:11:12 Yes. I'm a eat walker too. And so maybe, maybe there is something to it. But yeah, pretty cool. By the way, David Letterman is 72. His son is 15. Oh, wow. Yeah. Yeah, there you go.
Starting point is 01:11:23 I'm Amy. Don't feel sad for him. Be happy that he had a kid. Oh, I'm happy. Yeah, but he regrets it. David Letterman says the coolest things. He goes, man, I don't want to be the old dude that's trying to look cool. I want to be a cool old dude.
Starting point is 01:11:33 Yeah. He goes, and there's a difference. He said that to Kanye, right? Yeah. Did you see that? I did. He's in his closet. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:11:39 And that David Leonard was. He was trying on all the easy clothes. And he goes, yeah. because I don't want to be the old dude trying to look cool. I want to be just a cool old dude and there's a difference. And so I thought that's pretty cool. Mm-hmm. There you go.
Starting point is 01:11:52 Is that it? Yep, I'm Amy. That's my pile. That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Stay home. It's something good.
Starting point is 01:12:04 Mark and Mary Taylor lost pretty much everything in the California fires last year. You know, their home burned down, so everything's destroyed. Well, a guy that works for the fire department, he's the photographer that goes to crime scenes and takes pictures. He was going through a little bit in the attic and he found old boxes like negatives of family photos, wedding albums. He took them, dusted them off, and got them reprinted and made them a photo album all their photos.
Starting point is 01:12:29 Oh, wow. That's cool because he definitely did not have to do that. He could have not done it and no one would have ever known. You know what I mean? Like you could have found him and just been like, eh, I'm good. Yeah, good for him. A little extra effort there. And I bet she was pumped.
Starting point is 01:12:41 Oh, they were so excited. Like, oh my gosh, he didn't have to do that. What an amazing surprise. to have a little bit of our memories restored. I like, yeah, me too. I like it when people do things that we can show the listeners that they can also do things like. More so than someone donates $100 million,
Starting point is 01:12:55 which we can't. Not everybody can do. No, no, like almost nobody. But that's pretty cool if they do that. Right, but I mean, stuff like this, people could see in their everyday activities and help somebody out. And that's what this segment is all about right now.
Starting point is 01:13:05 That was tell me something good. Morning Corny. What's a sheep's favorite sport? What's a sheep's favorite sport? Badminton. That was the morning corny. Starting point is 01:16:24 Marin Morris. There's Marin walking in right now. Hey, good morning, Marin. She's we're going to plug her in. Maron's here. By the way, if you want to call, you can, 877 Bobby. That's phone number. Maybe you have a question. Maron's a woman of the people. She'll talk to the people. I know, Marion. She loves the people, right, Marin?
Starting point is 01:16:42 There she is. There she is. All right. How are you? Good. How are you? We've only had like four guests in, so we're still figuring out the studio thing. So, yeah. I love it. It's so slick. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:16:55 Look at you guys. I built it all in my hands. I was saying, like, it reminds me of Howard Stern. I'm so jealous that you got to do that. You know, when they first, there was at one point when he first found your video, he found your interview on my show. Really? Yeah. And he was like, who is this guy?
Starting point is 01:17:12 And they were like, oh, he's a big fan. And then he started talking about you. That's cool. There was a little connection. How was that? Was that fun? Yeah, it was pretty trippy, but he was so kind. Like, he was really nice to my band and talk to, like, each and every one of them, including
Starting point is 01:17:25 me. Like, it was, like, an hour. And you don't really know what the schedule was going to look like. Like, you just hold your instruments until he's, like, done with the conversation. And then he's like, oh, yeah, maybe you should play a song. But it was cool. He's obviously just an amazing conversationalist. Like, he can just talk to you and get deep about anything.
Starting point is 01:17:44 So it's a gift. That's one of my heroes. David Letterman, Howard Stern. Who were yours? That's interesting. Who do you look up to and go, oh, man, if I had to pick heroes? Heroes. I mean, definitely, like, in everything that she's done in her career, probably Dolly Parton.
Starting point is 01:18:04 After working with her earlier this year on the Grammys, that was just such a, like a life lesson of how to conduct your business and treat people. and she still sounds just clear as a bell like she did back in the 70s. And so, yeah, I mean, I've always looked up to her more than just, like, as a songwriter, but just as a businesswoman. What about personally? Who do you look to and go, man, personally, this is one of my heroes? Personally? Oh, man.
Starting point is 01:18:34 I mean, this sounds like very cliche, but, like, my mom, like, she's such a self-starter. She started her own business. She's a hairdresser. So she started her own business, like, 25 years ago. and, you know, we never had, like, a ton of money growing up, but she and my dad were always, they had that entrepreneurial spirit, and, like, nothing was handed to us,
Starting point is 01:18:53 so we really had to just, like, go out and work for things. And, yeah, so probably personally on that level, her. Marin Morris is here. So we grew up pretty similar. It wasn't like we had all these resources just thrown at us. Like, how do you go after music, you know, because instruments aren't cheap?
Starting point is 01:19:11 You know, guitars aren't cheap. Like, how did you make money? as a kid in order to keep, you know, playing music, you know, car payments, insurance payments, stuff like that. I mean, in Texas, I would play gigs as a kid and as a teenager and do, like, everything from honky tonks to chili cookoffs and just every weird thing in between. And I paid for my first car in cash with my gig money. What kind of car was that?
Starting point is 01:19:39 It was a 1998 Montero Sport, so it was like an SUV. So I felt really tall for the first time. And yeah, I mean, it was weird to just not have a car payment. All my other friends did. And I just paid for it in full with my gig money. He's found it on, like, Craigslist. Marin Morris is here. Hey, I want to put Alex on in Missouri who wants to ask a question about girl.
Starting point is 01:20:00 Hey, Alex, how are you? Hey, Alex, you're on the show. You there, bud? Going once. Do we have Alex raised he hung up? He probably freaked out. Yeah, we should have him. All right, Alex, one more shot, bud.
Starting point is 01:20:14 This is once in a lifetime opportunity here. People pay much money to get a meet-grit with Marin Morris. Alex in Missouri, go on once. All right, we got to hang up on Alex. Sorry, Alex. Sorry, Alex, you missed it. What are your mean-grits like before's show? Do you do them before, after?
Starting point is 01:20:28 Before. And how many people will you meet? I mean, with my headline stuff, it was 50. Plus, like, radio. So it ends up being, like, closer to 75. So it's about an hour before a show. You'll dedicate about an hour. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:20:43 Do you worry about your voice before a show? Because there's a lot of talking involved there. Yeah. I've started to. It does take a toll just like talking that often every day before a show. So I don't know. But I love getting to meet everyone. And there's so many of my fans that are like recurring, you know, meet and greeters.
Starting point is 01:21:04 So I'll see them, you know, several times on a tour. And it's just nice to like see familiar faces. But yeah, like I do have to warm up before the, meet and greet sometimes just because I know that I'm going to be talking for an hour before the show. What does your warm-up sound like? Because warm-ups are often ridiculous sounding. Yeah, there's never like a cool one. Right. What does your warm-up sound like? What do you do? I've been doing the same one for probably 20 years. It's this guy, Roger Love, and he was a vocal coach. At the time, you know, I was like a kid, and my mom bought his book, and this is so weird. But
Starting point is 01:21:42 Taylor Hansen from Hansen, you know, when he went through puberty, like his voice lowered. And so he went to this guy, this vocal coach, so he could still sing Mbop in the original key. Oh, nice. And I was like, well, if it works for him, it will work for me. So it's just like, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go. Like, it's a bunch of those scales. It's like a 10-minute. I still have, like, Party Girl Morning Voice right now, so this is a number.
Starting point is 01:22:12 a good example, but it's like a 10-minute warm-up. Did you go out last night? I've had the last two days of rehearsals with the high women, so we have a show this Friday, so we've just been hammering away. We have a lot of songs on the record, so we've been rehearsing a bunch the last two days. We'll definitely talk about that coming up, too. I do have Alex who called back. We're going to give them one other show.
Starting point is 01:22:34 Alex, I was waiting for you. Are you there? Hi, can you hear me? Oh, it's a girl. Hi, I can hear you now, Alex. Alex, you're on. You're on with Marin Morris. Hi, oh my gosh, Marin. I'm a biggest fan of you.
Starting point is 01:22:45 Hi. I love all of your albums. I listen to Hero all the time. And I wanted to ask you what your favorite track on Girl is. It changes, honestly, like, after I went on tour, it would change every night. But I love singing, obviously, girl. And we always start the show with that one. And then I love the bones. Like, that's a really emotional one to sing each night.
Starting point is 01:23:12 and then probably song for everything maybe? I don't know. It really is a day-by-day basis. But I would say those are my top three. I can't give you the top one. Alex, what you think? What's your favorite?
Starting point is 01:23:24 Oh, I don't know. I love girl. I find it very empowering. I also really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really. Enjoy make out with me. Okay. Thanks. She put five really-realis.
Starting point is 01:23:38 I love it. There's a lot of real-real-real-real- Really. Thanks. Well, Alex, thanks. Thank you for listening to the show. Thanks for calling talking to Marin. Yeah. Nice to meet you.
Starting point is 01:23:45 Nice to sort of meet you. By the way, Miran's here because your song's going to go number one this week. I don't think I'm jinxing it in any way. I don't think it's a jinx. Okay. But how does that feel? I'm sure it feels great.
Starting point is 01:23:58 It feels amazing, but I'm so superstitious, I guess. I've been down this road where we've like kicked the can and we get so close. Like, I mean, honestly, even getting into the top 10 is a feat in itself. So I do consider myself lucky to have had like several. But this, if it goes number one this week, it would be my second number one since I could use a love song. So it would be cool to ring that bell again. You have posted on one of your social media, an artist told you, hey, don't worry about the chart. It was, I'm paraphrasing here. Like, just do you and make sure people like your
Starting point is 01:24:35 songs, but just keep doing you. Do you want to say who told you that? Who gave you that advice? It was Miranda She was like, just do you Don't worry about it Well, we've, you know I'm on her new record And you know, we've gotten into philosophical conversations about all of this
Starting point is 01:24:50 Just the industry And she's from Texas So I just feel like we've been sort of Kindred spirits over this whole thing But yeah, she's like Where is your song right now And I'll be like, oh, it's eight I don't know
Starting point is 01:25:01 And she's like, oh, it's a hit She's like anything top 15 And if they're singing your words back to you which I played faster horses last week for the first time. And that was my first time really hearing, you know, 35,000 people sing it that loud. Because, you know, when we put the song out as a single, you know, it's very rock.
Starting point is 01:25:22 So I didn't know how it was going to fare at radio, but I just believed in it so much. So I'm really sort of floored that it's been my quickest single to date. Is that right? Your quickest? Yeah. Look at you. You're going to make it.
Starting point is 01:25:37 I got a good feeling about this. I don't need my backup plan. We're going to come back. Can you come back in four minutes? We good? Yeah. All right, cool. Marin Morris is here.
Starting point is 01:25:45 And if you guys want to hop on, you can. 877-Bobby at Marin Morris on Instagram. On the Bobby Bones show now. Marin Morris. All right, Marin's here. I want to put on Adrian in Texas, who is a police officer. Hey, Adrian. Hey, good morning.
Starting point is 01:26:01 Hey, good morning. I have Marin here. What would you like to say? Hey, Marin, I just wanted to say I'm a huge fan. You come to have a bad day at work or anything like that. I actually like to put your music on. It kind of helps me just get through whatever's going on at that moment. Oh, that's really sweet.
Starting point is 01:26:18 Thank you for saying that. Before you got to go bust some heads. I feel you. Texas, yes. All right, AJ, appreciate that call, bud. Thank you so much. Thank you. You know, in my last book I wrote that I have a pre-show playlist.
Starting point is 01:26:30 It's still the same because I believe I'm not a superstitious guy, but I believe something's going right, why even mess with it? Like, don't even risk the super-show. If it ain't broke. Yeah. And so on my pre-show playlist, I still have Rich. And I wrote it my book, I talk about, hey, if you find something that works for you, like, stay with it.
Starting point is 01:26:46 Because if you get your mind right, who knows if it works or not, but if it's working, it's working. Yeah. And so on my pre-show playlist, I still, before I go out and do stand-up, I'll play Rich as that, and I have a Farrell song, and I have a couple others. What are you doing before a show? Talk to me about that. I mean, to be honest, this past tour, I don't know what it was.
Starting point is 01:27:07 Maybe it was like this sophomore album jitter thing, but I have been dealing with like massive anxiety before shows, which I used to just be, you know, butterflies before you go on stage, which are good because it gets your adrenaline pumping. But for some reason, the first half of this headline tour, just before the show, I would have to push the show a couple minutes because I was having like a slight panic attack. And then I would get on stage and be totally fine.
Starting point is 01:27:33 I don't know. It's just like the buildup is so anxiety. anxiety-inducing. Because of the success of the first project, is that why? Because you're like, I got to live up to something? To yourself. Maybe not even anybody else, but even to you?
Starting point is 01:27:47 Yeah, I think that's a big part of it. Even when the album came out, it's like you try to enjoy the process of it and the week that it's out and everyone's hearing it for the first time. But you also are just like, oh my God, so many more people are looking at this than they did the first album.
Starting point is 01:28:04 But I got over it after that first half of the tour. and I could go out and just be totally fine. But I also just, like, don't really love drinking before shows or, like, a shot anymore. So I like to be sober when I'm out there. But, yeah, I mean, it's like a real thing, anxiety. But now that I'm sort of in the festival season, and it's been way more communal and fun and it doesn't feel like it's just me. So that's been good.
Starting point is 01:28:31 Now, in this new studio, I wear inner ears. These are my stage ears that I brought in, but I always have to clean wax out of them. Like every two, are you so big now that someone cleans the wax out of your ears? Because that's the level I'm trying to get to. Like your in-ears? Yeah, like these. Oh, like the little holes in them? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:28:46 Our monitor guy, Chris, I feel like, he is always happy. But I was like, I cannot believe part of your job each day is like the entire band. He used to clean the wax out of everybody's ears? He has like a machine. Like he doesn't do it by hand. Amy, will you be my wax cleaner? Your machine? Yes.
Starting point is 01:29:06 Oh, my God. I don't know what, I mean, can I just get like a Clorox wipe and... No, you got to like dig in there. It's gross. Ew. I know. Yeah, he has a machine. This is so disgusting, but he has a machine that he, like, it's a tiny tube that he can put in the hole and it, it, like, sucks all the wax out.
Starting point is 01:29:22 That's the grossest part of my morning, having to clean my own ears. Let's go to Saith in Maryland. Hey, Saith. Is that your name? Hi. Hey, you're on with Merrin Morris. Yeah. We were wondering what Marin's inspiration was for her new.
Starting point is 01:29:37 band, the all-girl band High Women? Yeah. Well, the inspiration was actually the Highway Men, which was Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Chris Christofferson, and Johnny Cash. So they were sort of like the OG troubadours that started this project, and they started it because they were all successful in their own right, but they were friends and they just wanted to make music together. And we sort of in a very respectful take on the Highway Men,
Starting point is 01:30:07 created the high women. And it's just basically all these women coming together and celebrating our songwriting craft and what we go through is women in this industry. Cheryl Crow plays bass. We have Yola. Like there's so many people on it that are just amazing, amazing musicians. And yeah, so that was the inspiration behind it. Oh, that's awesome. That's so cool. We love your new album. Thank you so much. She was still on. I'm still getting used to this. too. Hey, say thank you. Thank you. Yeah, thank you. We love your show and your podcast. Thank you. Bye-bye. The high women. Talk about your other bandmates in that.
Starting point is 01:30:48 Yeah, so it's me, Brandy Carlyle, Natalie Hemby, and Amanda Shires. And, you know, I've obviously, I've written a ton with Natalie Hemby over the last six years, and she's been on both of my records as a writer. And then Brandy was on my record girl with my song Common. So that's how we met. But yeah, like this whole sort of collective came together because Amanda wanted to start this group and she reached out to Brandy and then Brandy reached out to me and Natalie to be a part of it. And, you know, I'm still mid-cycle of my record girl. So I'm sure like my manager was like, you're going to also join a band like right in the middle of your record cycle? And I was like, I don't think it's going to distract at all. It's so different,
Starting point is 01:31:36 different wavelengths. But it feels good because it's like I can contribute songs that I've written over the years that are super Americana, super traditional country that maybe wouldn't work in my solo project land, but would work for the high women. And it's just like really soulful, rootsy music. Dave Cobb produced it. And our first show is this Friday at Newport Folk Festival. So we've just been
Starting point is 01:32:03 in rehearsals the last few days. But it's some of my proudest work. And to kind of be up there in a band and not be the only person on stage has been so refreshing. And I love to like harmonize. So this is the first time I've really gotten to do that in a band sense.
Starting point is 01:32:20 So it took forever to go from record one to record two. And now you've got record two and another project with the High Woman. Like are you already writing songs for the next record? We've got to wait like 10 more years and have something else.
Starting point is 01:32:32 No, I've already started writing. I think the landscape of music is so different now with the, we just consume it so much quicker. So I don't think I'll wait another three years to put a record out. I mean, I might release music next year that's on my own. That wouldn't be maybe necessarily a part of a new album, but just, you know, some morsels. I don't know. I feel like if I don't ask one question about your husband that I would be doing myself an injustice. I know. Because I do love Ryan so much. My question about Ryan, Ryan Hurd, artist, husband,
Starting point is 01:33:03 muscular figure, is whenever you guys are on vacation and he has his shirt off and he has muscles in places, he has body parts I don't even have. He's just got weird muscular body parts. Does he go get a workout in even on vacation every day? I mean, most days, not every day. That's what I need to do.
Starting point is 01:33:21 I need to get more workouts in. Bobby, you work out enough. Come on. I'm like the lazy bum on vacation. He'll like, even if it's for 20, minutes, he'll go and just to say he did it. Even if he ran for like five of it, yeah, he
Starting point is 01:33:36 goes. You were on Women's Health magazine, I saw that. The cover of that. You're giving yourself enough credit over there, calling yourself the lazy bum. I mean, on vacation. I know, I mean, in general. But she works hard every other time. Yeah, sorry Aaron Oprea, but I didn't work out on that vacation.
Starting point is 01:33:53 You and Aaron, both. We hiked. We both work out with Aaron. Yeah. Yeah. Aaron's awesome. No, she she whips us into shape. I'm going to play girl. I appreciate you coming by. Congratulations. I love the studio.
Starting point is 01:34:04 Thank you for having me here. And tell Ryan, I say hi. I will. And tell Pancake, it's a hi. We need to get him and Stanley together. Well,
Starting point is 01:34:11 the thing, your dog is so much bigger than mine right now. Yeah. Let's give it like three months. But they're siblings, right? Yes. Or at least half siblings. Okay.
Starting point is 01:34:18 Like in three months, my dog will go. My dog will go to yours for some advice. Be like, hey, how do I do this? I got an owner who's an idiot. They'll have a talk.
Starting point is 01:34:26 It'll be a whole thing. What is your advice for me on bulldogs in general? I've never had one. Have a good vet on speed dial because they're always in and out of the vet. Pancakes had so many ailments. He just tore his ACL a few months ago. Yeah. I didn't even know little dogs, their legs are this big.
Starting point is 01:34:46 They have a, they can tear in ACL? Yeah. That's crazy. Yeah. So it's just, just be prepared. Maybe you'll be luckier than we have been with your bulldog. But Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, like they have a, They have a couple bulldogs, I think, and she jokes that, yeah, you're going to always need to have a vet on speed dial.
Starting point is 01:35:07 Well, you guys will be my bulldog mentors. As I'm mentoring to America, you will mentor to me on the Bulldogs. Just ask us, and we've probably been through it with pancake. Starting point is 01:38:51 I had a nice lunch at the house. The dog was acting pretty good and he's a puppy, but he's starting to have dog moments and really enjoying my dog time. I got a good workout in with Jared, my boxing gym. Yesterday was just a pretty solid day. And I get a call and I look at my phone and I'm like, huh, like one of the people I work with on music.
Starting point is 01:39:11 And he was calling me at a random time. You know how sometimes you get that call from somebody you often get, but it's not the particular time you're used to so something's up. Yeah? And I go, all right, so I answer the call. And I go, hey, Tom, what's up?

It's a good it's called old folks on him and he goes, yeah, Lil Nas X blocked it. Oh, really? And I was like, I was
Starting point is 01:39:38 the first one arguing for Lil Nas X on Good Morning America. On alone in my room. On Instagram, alone in your room. Yes. Wow. I know. Okay, so you can play it here. Well, they can't stop me from playing it here. Arna. And they've
Starting point is 01:39:54 stopped us from putting it on all streaming platforms. and it's still on YouTube. For some reason, it's still on YouTube. Maybe that, shh, don't tell her. He won't find out. But Little Nazex's team blocked all folks home from going up as a parody. Bummer. From the raging idiots.
Starting point is 01:40:11 So I was debating on playing it at the Grand Ole Opry on Friday night because I do comedy at the Opry. And now I think we have to. Yeah. And then we're going to play it in Chicago. We're going to start every show with it. We may play it five times a show. Every other song.
Starting point is 01:40:24 Just to rub it in. So yeah, we got blocked from Lul Na's X's team from putting this song, and I'm just going to play it now. This song is only a minute and 30 seconds long and he would get all the money for it, by the way. We're not getting any money for it. It's a parody, but they didn't want it. They said it was a joke, or they said it was stupid or something.
Starting point is 01:40:42 Well, I mean... Was that the quote? Nope, I don't know what the quote was, but it's funny. The quote was no. Okay, here it is. And by the way, we'll put it up at Bobbybones.com. We'll put it on our Twitter. We'll put the YouTube link up.
Starting point is 01:40:52 Stream it like crazy. But then he still gets paid. Whatever. But we can't put it on any of the platforms. IHart Radio or Apple or Spotify or none of that. Dang, dude. I thought you were joking. I thought we were boys.
Starting point is 01:41:03 He only follows 700 people on Twitter, and I'm one of them. Oh, wow. And I went and tweeted him. I was like, what happened to the loyalty. L. Nas X? You know what he said? Nothing. He didn't even respond.
Starting point is 01:41:14 By the way, our big boss is here. He is the head of IHart country. I saw him looking in the window. Were you here because Marin was here? Yeah, to be honest. For sure. He doesn't come up here this early for. us. I love you all too, but. We do appreciate the when you pop your head in it nine and that's,
Starting point is 01:41:29 that's nice. We do like that. Do you really though? Yeah. Honestly, what do you agree? Sure. Yeah. Yeah, sure. No, no, no, no, no. Our studio is basically in the basement of the building. Did you agree with that? Yes, it is, it is back in the way back corner, for sure. So we see no one, and so we like it when you. I think people are afraid to come back here. Why do you think that? Um, that's a good question. I, I think they think it's off limits. It's like it's, I think they think it's not a too cool thing, but like, oh, that's, that's a national show. We can't go back there. That's not the case.
Starting point is 01:42:01 It's definitely not the case. Like I said, I enjoy it when people are walking around down here. When I see you, you're the head of the whole country. Well, I'm not afraid to come down here. I'm not really ahead of the whole country, but at least I feel comfortable coming in here. What do you feel about Little Naz-X blocking our parody from being able to? I just heard that. I can't believe it.
Starting point is 01:42:18 Come on. Let's all just loosen up. There's no downside to that. Just play the song. It's fun. And it's not like we're making money. Right. It's we're not putting it up for our own money-making effort.
Starting point is 01:42:28 If anything, it's just additional, whatever you want to call it, promotion for a song that's already had promotion beyond belief. Agreed. And you know who was promoting it way early? The Bobby Bone show. Your boy here. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And how's life? Life's great.
Starting point is 01:42:43 Good, good, good. How's the studio? You like it? Do you like it? I love it. We're finally getting into it now where we can do our show without worrying about the studio. Yeah. Well, I still worry about the studio, and I worry for Ray.
Starting point is 01:42:54 Ray is the man. He's keeping it all together. Ray is running not only audio all morning from 2 a.m. then he then runs the show. Yeah, the whole thing. And it looks good in here, but there's still some duct tape back there that he has to keep keeping on. But I'm mad. I didn't get here before.
Starting point is 01:43:07 Marin came in. I want to see the artist's reaction when they walk in because they've been here before and then see this room. It's got to be like one of those flipped his house things. No, move that bus. Because it was such. Because I never had a new studio. My whole life, one, I shared a studio with the radio station.
Starting point is 01:43:24 And then whenever I moved here, it was Jerry House's old studio. Right. And so as much as I loved Jerry, it was time. And now we got the upgrade. Let's do this. Since we have Rod Phillips, the head of IHeart country. Oh, gosh. Just musically, like right now, what do you love?
Starting point is 01:43:42 We'll break it in two categories. Songs that are at the top of the charts right now. Like, give me a song that the radio stations play, that you're like, I love when I hear that song. Well, the Luke Combs is hard, it's undeniable. The hook, that's a hookiest, big country anthem song we've had in a long time. That long neck, I'd cold beer never broke my heart. That one.
Starting point is 01:44:01 Yeah. I won't sing it, but that one. And then what about on the new artist's front? Is there anybody that you're like, man, there's some real pop of this person? Well, I generally do like, do love Teneal Towns and her sound because it's different, it's unique, and she's so super talented. If you see her live, she's unbelievable. The other new stuff that's coming, that's lighting up, you know, Jordan Davis probably doesn't get enough credit.
Starting point is 01:44:23 I mean, he's really good and on his third single. And I don't know that people know who he is yet. Jordan Davis has, if he ever singles you up, if he ever stupid enough. And then he had the other one. His other one was, uh, that one. Here's the problem with all the dudes in country music. Oh, I know what you're going to say. They're all replaceable.
Starting point is 01:44:42 and individual well let me let me go back to you individually they're all fine and good and great but they're all so similar that just someone listening to here's another dude's name and they have one hit and they go away yeah i don't think i think it's hard to differentiate between them take it from me and i like and i say that and i love jordan as a person jordan and i are kind of buds off the air too but when you have a dude getting a hit and then he doesn't have a hit for another year and a half and another dude all these dude names just kind of go together well he at least has the beard, but people don't, if they don't know, they don't know. They just hear the sound, and it doesn't differentiate enough. So what makes all these guys different from one another?
Starting point is 01:45:22 It's hard, because there's a lot of them. Some of them only have nine abs, and some have eight. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, and they can pull their shirt up to see it. And some of them only played pro football and not pro baseball and pro football. We need one more ex-baseball player to have a country song, right? Just an ex-athlet band of country artists. Like the high, you know, the high women. Yep. Now we need like the high jockman. All the ex-jocs.
Starting point is 01:45:46 Listen, I appreciate you stopping by. I saw you in the hall. I don't think you were a guest in the old studio. Now I'm even more happy about this. How do you feel about sitting as it gets? Because I'm telling you, the mic's, the mic thing sounds good. We've got to figure it out now. Yeah, it sounds great.
Starting point is 01:45:58 I don't know how I sound. You sound wonderful. I can't hear myself. Your voice is like butter. Thank you. There he is. Rod Phillips, head of I-heart country. Amy, do you have any new artist that you love?
Starting point is 01:46:08 New? None. No new artists. Nobody. No new artists? Yeah. No, I mean, to Neal Towns, I mean, Rod mentioning her, like, she's someone that I really, really like. But you turned me on to her when she came in.
Starting point is 01:46:20 Yeah, I mean, I didn't know how good she was. Really, Leibald took her on tour with me. And I was like, oh, she's just shutting down the crowds. She's great. And as long as you're still on it, Ingrid Andrus. Oh, gosh. Yeah. Another good one.
Starting point is 01:46:31 She is a person as an artist. Yeah, that's going to be big. All right. There you have it. Rod Phillips, head of our heart coach. Let's clap them out here. All right. Coming up, hey, do you want to do our tell me something good, T's?
Starting point is 01:46:41 Here, do that. Because Rod used to do radio, like real radio. What was his name? This is so you can make fun of me. He was like, this is Rock and Rod Phillips. Were you Rock and Rod? I was a long, long time ago. Yeah, a long time ago.
Starting point is 01:46:53 Wait, really? Yeah, he was rocking ride. Where were you on the air when you were rocking rod? In Lexington, Kentucky. And what genre and what was the song you started as the top 40s station, but then we flipped to oldies because I guess we didn't have good enough ratings. Well, then that makes sense. And then it became Rock and Rod.
Starting point is 01:47:10 It's Rock and Rod. Here's the drifters from 1952. By the way, I'll say this. I wrote about Rod in my first book, just for some context. Rod was the very first ever executive in any form, shape, or size to come and go, hey, guy in Austin, Texas, I think your show should actually be on in more places. Like, you were the first person I met outside of my building that ever had any faith in me whatsoever. Not the only person.
Starting point is 01:47:31 No, outside of my building. The loudest person. The only executive, the first person to ever show up and they'd be like, hey, I think there's something to you. Yeah, that was it. You were the guy. You were the guy. All right, here we go. Here's our teas. Go ahead. Coming up next, son, tell me something good. Come on, Rock and Rob. I knew he was doing it to make fun of me.
Starting point is 01:47:45 Go ahead. Should I do even better radio voice? Coming up next, then tell me something good. A barber in Tennessee is giving discounted haircuts to a kid who can do this. Find out what it is up next. All right, there you have it. All right, there you have it. All right, back with Rock and Rod's going home, but the Tell Me Something Good is next here. All right, thank you.
Starting point is 01:48:07 we talked about how there were kids at the school and they said, hey, if you don't pay off their lunch debt, they can get taken going to foster care. And so we were like, man, that seems a bit extreme. That escalated quickly. Right. And so I said, someone's going to step up, the community or someone's going to pay this lunch debt.
Starting point is 01:48:23 All you need is for it to become public and people go, oh, I'd like to help. I think a big thing in why so many people don't get help is they don't say they need help, including us personally and even things like this, right? So the story comes out, I'm convinced someone's going to come up and go, I'll take care of that $22,000, lunch debt that the kids cannot pay.
Starting point is 01:48:39 So, talked about this yesterday. It's in Pennsylvania. The Wyoming Valley West School District. They threatened parents. It will take the kids away. Well, it turns out, look, Colum Bay Coffee, chief executive, Todd Carmichael,
Starting point is 01:48:53 said, I have $22,000. I will donate it and pay off all of those school lunches. Oh, wow. Except the school turned it down. Wait, why? According to a spokesperson for the coffee chain, the school board president declined the offer because he claims the money is owed by parents who can afford to pay.
Starting point is 01:49:09 Oh, interesting. Not interesting. Just let him pay it. Just not pay it. Right. I mean, it's just interesting that he's... Okay. Yeah, I agree.
Starting point is 01:49:18 Pay it. I don't know why you would turn down that money. You're probably not going to get it. Great point, too. Now, in my mind, this is where I go. I'll talk about my high school for a second. When I grew up, I didn't play basketball because I couldn't afford the shoes. The shoes were like 70 bucks, the matching shoes.
Starting point is 01:49:34 On the team, you had to have matching tenor. shoes and I didn't want to be embarrassed that I couldn't afford them and so I did not play basketball and I always held that with me and I thought if I can ever help I'm going to buy my all the entire team shoes so no one has to not play because they can't afford it so that's what I do at mount pine high school the entire basketball team I buy the shoes so if someone plays and they can't afford it they never have to even acknowledge it right and that's and that's totally can afford it absolutely it does not matter all I'm trying to do is help out the the 4% of people I'm happily I have a good job now. Like, I'm good.
Starting point is 01:50:07 I happily am willing to cover everybody that can afford it to help those who can't. And with the same theory here, I would do, I can't believe they're not taking the money. Right. There are some kids who can't afford it. And then is it the, are these kids, like I'm confused, because if they could afford it, I guess is it a free, let's just they show up and they scan their card or whatever and then they're just not paying. I don't know how school lunches work anymore. Like I used to have to have actual money, but why is their debt if they can afford it?
Starting point is 01:50:37 I thought it was like the free lunch program. Well, free lunch program, you don't have to pay anything. Okay, never mind. Free lunch is just, you just show up and it's already taken care of. Yeah, I guess I'm just wondering how you get debt at school. I just want to write in the way set this guy's $22,000. Take the money. Take the money.
Starting point is 01:50:52 Channing Tatum gets a permanent restraining order against a home intruder. Now, that's an odd story, but it does get odder. Channing Tatum has been granted a permanent restraining order against a home intruder, the woman broke into his house, and then stayed there for 10 days. What? That's scary. They were renovating it, so she just squatted. Because she loves Channing? Or she just needed... I mean, who doesn't love Channing? I know, right? She's been ordered to stay away from the actor, but it also extends to his wife, his ex-wife, Jenna Dewan and their daughter, too. Tatum's attorney said the woman emailed the
Starting point is 01:51:26 attorney's office to admit to the break-in, which occurred while the home was vacant due to ongoing renovations. She also apparently agreed to all the terms of the restraining order. That's nice of her. I love when people are compliant with restraining orders. Restraining orders are weird though because I've had some issues with safety before and had to get a couple of them, but it's only a piece
Starting point is 01:51:44 of paper. You can easily walk to a piece of paper and do whatever you want. Right. It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good. They give discounted haircuts to kids who read while in his chair. Germaine
Starting point is 01:51:58 Scott came up with the idea after noticing most of the kids who came in were glued to their tablets or other electronic devices. I do love my electronic devices. Yes. I feel you, kid. He started offering $5 off the $15 haircut. You have to educate your mind. Education is key, Scott says.
Starting point is 01:52:16 The discount is offered every Thursday, and the barber provides the books from the local library. He said he didn't see the importance of reading growing up, but now he hopes, and he does, and he hopes it can impact the next generation. So I like that. That's a great one. All right. And that is what it's all about. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:52:30 That was tell me something good. Amy had a fancy baby shower she went to last night, which I don't think you felt it was fancy going into it. No. You just knew that your friend was having a baby. She was like coming to the baby shower, but she was also teaming up with another friend doing a dual baby shower. Right.
Starting point is 01:52:48 But Eddie, I was talking to Amy. And this is not Amy dropping names, but it was like heavy name drop. Not from her, but she was like. No, you were just talking. Well, I said, you know. So her friend is Caroline Hobby, who does the Get Real podcast. And Caroline's husband is the elite singer of a thousand horses. The joint baby shower was Brett Young and cares you didn't know.
Starting point is 01:53:10 And his wife, Taylor, which by the way, know them love them. Good for it. So did you get them both a gift? I ended up, yes. You dual gifted. We talked about it. And I was like, yes, I knew that I was only being invited because of Caroline, but they're both having babies and they're both celebrating and I can.
Starting point is 01:53:26 So I got them both gifts. I click Amy's Inza story last night. John Parties there. And he's like doing a monologue about how we were screwed at a family feud. Oh yeah, he was at the party. He goes, I'm looking around. He's like, I'm counting blouses. There's no blouses here.
Starting point is 01:53:44 But I see like 15 baseball caps. So the final question that we had on Family Feud was something above your waist that starts with the B. Yeah. And we didn't say blouse. We said baseball hat, baseball cap, whatever it is. And here's John Party last night at the party. All right, guys. I just wanted, like, just a question.
Starting point is 01:54:01 How many blouses are actually being worn right now? And how many baseball hats are being worn? I got one, two, three, four, five. He went on and on. He was going to town. Also at this fancy baby shower was Jason Aldeen. What, Al Dean was there? Just like hanging out.
Starting point is 01:54:19 He said to tell everybody hi. Okay. Yeah. And he also, he watched our family feud episode. He was, he said he knew Lauren Elena was going to be on. And so that's why he was watching. And so he was like, oh, Lauren Elena's going to be on. I got to watch her.
Starting point is 01:54:32 And then he turned it on. And he was like, wait, she's on with the Bobby Vod show. Like, he had no idea. So he said it, you know, he watched it and it was cool. And then, yeah. I saw Eric Passley's wife was there. Yeah. And Eric was there.
Starting point is 01:54:42 Eric Pat. It's the fanciest Nashville baby shower ever heard of. And the Decker's. Oh, Jesse James and Eric Decker? Mm-hmm. Yeah. On Earth. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:54:50 I mean, there was a probably, yeah, a lot of other people, too, that. Drop some more names. Yeah. No. No. I don't know, no, no, Luke. That would have been fun though. Give us one more.
Starting point is 01:54:59 Drop one more name at your fancy shower. I can't think right now. I know there's another one. She's like, I forgot. Oh, Oprah was there. Oprah. No, it was really nice. The weather was amazing.
Starting point is 01:55:11 It was beautiful. It was nice. It was fun to celebrate. A little weather. It was talking about weather. Yeah. And like Caroline. Amy doesn't want a name drop.
Starting point is 01:55:19 I feel like our listeners like it when I go, oh, check out who I was with. Yeah. Because I'm just a gober from Mount Piney. Arkansas and I'm hanging out with cool people. So I'm kind of their eyes and ears. Amy's always like, I don't want to. You should though. Okay. I'm not telling secrets. Okay. So who else is there? Who else is there? Did your husband go with you? He did. And it was fun. Well, the Moklers were there, Steve Mokler and Gracie. Like, it's our walking gang. So I mean, it's just everybody, do you think
Starting point is 01:55:50 like, oh, it's like something crazy because it is when they walk in and you're like, oh, and the fact that it is weird to my husband to see, like, because Jason will come in here and we know him from work, Jason, Al-Dien. No, he's like not my, but it is weird to me that, you know, he, because I still even, because we see them at work things. So it's like, I wonder if they actually, not Jason, any of the country's superstars, like know our names. But it's like weird to him be like, hey, Amy, how's it going? And I'm like, what? You don't know my name. You're downplaying. Amy's the coolest one of the show. Never be confused on who the coolest person of this show is.
Starting point is 01:56:27 Amy just doesn't play it up. It's you. Play it up what? Amy has a walking group with like all the cool people. Celebs. They go on a walk and probably are you guys like the Nashville female. What's that? Housewives?
Starting point is 01:56:41 No, what's that group that like controls everything? What? Eluminati. Oh, what? No. You're in the Womanotti? No. The Nashville Womanotti.
Starting point is 01:56:50 If anybody's welcome to come walking. Not true. I like to take over the streets. I got you a gift. No, but Caroline is definitely like about to pop. Like I was thinking last night I was like, that baby could come like any minute. Was Tyler Hubbard there? No.
Starting point is 01:57:05 Oh, yeah. I saw him in his into story because I followed Tyler from Florida, Georgia Line. They were doing a pregnancy shoot. Oh. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Those were like a thing. That's why I want to get pregnant. I want to do a shoot.
Starting point is 01:57:17 Yeah. Were they doing like just a normal one or like one of those sexy ones? Well, the one he showed was pretty normal. but he was like, you should have seen the picture before this. It was in her birthday suit. Oh, see, yeah, I know. Some women, Caroline, she was saying she did one. And she was like, it was so empowering.
Starting point is 01:57:34 She was like, and I was just owning and loving my body because of like how it's just crazy that it can create this. And yeah, she's a little bit, she's bigger, but she's like, I have like an excuse to be. And it just felt so amazing to be free because her and her husband, they definitely took some sexy ones. It's where I was like, if I was that baby when I'm born later. I did you know. Did you see that?
Starting point is 01:57:53 I saw him on Instagram. Oh, okay. Yeah, that's how I know. So, so, but it's like when you're born later in life, you look back and you're like, mom, dad, why'd you take that picture when I was in your belly? That's weird. Like, that's what I was thinking. I didn't say that to her, but I'm saying it now. I don't know. But I mean, there. What time did you get in last night? Like 9.30? Not so bad. Yeah, no. It started at 6.30. It was early. Well, I'm glad you got about the gift. Yes. You're so fancy. It was, it was fun. It was fun. Giving you a hard time. cake. Well, thanks. Starting point is 02:01:50 Let me go talk to Dusty in Virginia, who's on the phone right now. Dusty, welcome to the Bobby Bone Show. What's up, ma'am? Not much. Out on 64 right now outside of Chesterfield, Virginia. I drive all over the country and I always make a point to look for your show. And I want to tell all of y'all, I appreciate everything y'all do. A lot of radio shows now focus and over-publicize all the bad and the negative in the world.
Starting point is 02:02:17 and I really enjoy y'all's tell me something good segment and how y'all focus on bringing light into all the over-publicized darkness I appreciate that man 55 after every hour we try to get that tell me something good on and be safe out there all right man all right dusty there's dusty in virginia I was reading this story about how much people make per Instagram post did you see this story they have the top 10 celebrity Instagram rich list Okay. Did you see it at all so I'm not going to spoil it. You're not spoiling anything. I haven't seen it. I mean, I can guess some people that are on top.
Starting point is 02:02:52 Well, it's not so much about on top. But it's how much they're getting. It's how much they're getting paid per Instagram post. So we can roll through seven to six without any drum roll rate because I'll just roll through them pretty quick. Number 10, Justin Bieber. That's say seven to six? Mm-hmm. 10 to 6.
Starting point is 02:03:09 Justin Bieber makes $722,000 a post. And number 10, by the way. Wow, he's at 10? The soccer player, Namar, $720,000. Same amount. Taylor Swift at number 8, $748,000 a post. Beyonce at $7,000, $785,000 a post. The Rock makes $82,000 a post.
Starting point is 02:03:31 He is number 6. Wow. It's just one post on Instagram. That's what they're making. By the way, I rarely do sponsor posts. I will for businesses that I already have a relationship with. For example, Metamusal, which came to me, by the way. And they were like, hey, you're already talking about us.
Starting point is 02:03:47 And fiber, will you just talk about us and let us sponsor it? And I was like, of course I will. Bose headphones, I work with them. So I never tell me tea. You will not see me doing tummy tea like a lot of these people do. Number five, drum roll please, Ramundo. On the top 10 Instagram rich list, making $886,000 per Instagram post. Selina Gomez.
Starting point is 02:04:13 Wow. Number four, making $910,000 per Instagram post. Kim Kardashian. Wow, that she'd be in the millions. You did? I didn't think anybody would be in the millions. There's only one person in the millions. Okay.
Starting point is 02:04:30 Number three, Cristiano Ronaldo. Number two, Ariana Grande making $996,000. Can't they just break her $4,000 more? Right, just making a mill. $9.96. Can't they just go, can they negotiate that a little better for her? And then number one is Kylie Jenner, making $1.2 million per Instagram post. So crazy.
Starting point is 02:04:52 Yeah. So whenever they're, hey, we like to have you sponsor a post, that's how much their rate is. Okay, show me the money. But if they didn't get their money back on this, they wouldn't spend it. Right. Meaning it's worth it to them. A lot of times people go, why would I buy social media or why would I buy digital media? It's like, do you want to catch eyeballs or not?
Starting point is 02:05:12 Like, you can buy traditional. you can go and buy the local news, I guess. But do you want to catch eye? The visual. Do you want to catch eyeballs? Because there are more people watching YouTube videos than insert whatever else at times. I'm buying more now from things I see on Instagram
Starting point is 02:05:28 or things that people post, whether it's sponsored or not. Like just influencers or people that I follow that I trust. That I'm like, oh, well, if they're using it and they like it, like I'm just going to swipe up and click it and like, it's just so easy because it's all right there. It's kind of bad. that it's that easy, but...
Starting point is 02:05:45 I do get offers to go, hey, well, you do... And I just... I feel like my Instagram feed, I have to be, like, truthful about things or no one's gonna believe anything I post ever. Right. So if you do see me,
Starting point is 02:05:53 like, Pepto-Bismol, did one for them, like, two months ago, month ago, you better believe I used Pepto-Abizmal. And by the way, they're not paying me to mention this. But, yeah, it seems like easy money. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 02:06:04 I wish I... A million dollars for a post. And, by the way, that they're worth it. Yeah. That's why she's the... youngest billionaire
Starting point is 02:06:15 don't get into that self-made stuff right she's not self-made well it depends who you talk to I'm talking to me okay well do you feel like she's self-made
Starting point is 02:06:23 I don't yeah she had a platform she had a platform like I don't yeah I don't nope she's not it was already there
Starting point is 02:06:30 now she's worked hard and maybe she's had some great ideas and she's a business woman and an entrepreneur sure but she had mass audience already
Starting point is 02:06:40 yes there you come well thank you everyone Thanks for coming to my TED Talk on Instagram. For some reason, I'm always drawn to drama on airplanes. Like, I love these stories where people are doing things on airplanes. Not the pair of stuff. Right. But like the stuff that makes a news where we go, what an idiot.
Starting point is 02:06:57 Police had to remove a guy from an American Airlines flight after he decided he wanted to sit in a better seat and just refused to move. He's like, this is my seat. I live here now. So bizarre. The flight to the Los Angeles International Airport was delayed about an hour. a disruptive passenger handcuffed to a wheelchair and removed off
Starting point is 02:07:15 an American Airlines flight by the way they had to put him in a wheelchair one to get him off and they'd handcuff him to the wheelchair I'm thinking maybe he was drinking he was not happy with this assignment in row 36
Starting point is 02:07:25 and then he sat right behind first class in the window seat and said I'm just not moving did he think that was gonna turn out in a good way you think they would just give up and go now you got a point all right
Starting point is 02:07:36 you seem like a good guy let's just fly let's just go pilot let's get out of here so no said, don't force me. Don't violate my freedom. He went into a kind of a braveheart thing. Don't violate my freedom. He said, that's my seat. So anyway, obviously it didn't turn out well for him. Yeah. You can't do that. No, especially, I mean, I guess on Southwest you could,
Starting point is 02:07:59 but not American. Southwest, you get to pick your own seat, right? There is no wrong seat. Maybe he was confused on the airline. Flight attendants told the passenger, go to your seat, or I will have to remove you. And he didn't remove so other passengers got their back. and then got off the plane. They were just like, all right, we don't want to be in your drama, we're out of here. Wow. Remember that story about the guy who, I'm assuming it was a guy because only guys would do this? He air dropped a photo of
Starting point is 02:08:21 a suicide bomb jacket to everybody on the flight that had their airdrom on. Bees out. I'm out. Feet, don't fail me now. Didn't we talk about something the other day where a guy called in a bomb threat too because he liked the flight attendant? Yeah, now that I get. I totally understand that.
Starting point is 02:08:38 All right, around the room. What are we doing today? Amy. I have two podcast interviews up here, so I feel like I'm going to be up here like a lot of today. Jessica Honigar and Jeremy Coward. Oh, yeah. Do you know Jeremy? From This Is Us. No.
Starting point is 02:08:54 It's a good guess. They sound like secondary characters that are getting brought into the new season of This Is Us. No, I don't know either one of them. Oh, okay. So I have those today, and then I guess just by the time I get home some sort of a workout and then kid time, family time. I'm going to get a little bike work in. Although my butt are hurting again. Oh no.
Starting point is 02:09:11 I know because I tore it right in the bike. Did you re-tear? I don't want to commit to it being a re-taire, but I think so. Oh, no. I know. It hurts. So I have that to deal with. I have this, ABC has asked me to develop some shows for their network.
Starting point is 02:09:28 So I have a big call today about that. We're already working on one scripted show, but I just don't. I don't know. I have that. And then I have a meeting with Dave Barnes today, but Dave Barnes, the artist. Oh, just a meeting? Yeah, we're talking about some stuff. I'm going to get a spray tan tonight because I got some stuff to shoot and some opery.
Starting point is 02:09:47 Spray tan takes a big part of my night. That's right. You think that they're going to come back and go, well, the spray tan was a bad thing for people in the year of 2019. Think about that every time I'm getting sprayed. I hold my breath because maybe, I mean, I know it's already being attached to the largest organ on my body, my skin. So it's getting into me somehow, but I feel like if I don't inhale, it's better. And I think that too, my second largest organ. And I found a girl she's organic.
Starting point is 02:10:10 Shut up. You get any organic chemicals? That's not even a thing. You can't get organic chemicals. Oh my gosh. Last time I got sprayed since I, oh, I got sprayed since I started watching Chernobyl.
Starting point is 02:10:22 I know they're not related, but I was like, when you think about how things. One's a nuclear disaster and one's a tiny hose. Yeah, but it eats the skin. And you're bringing up just like things like, I do freak out about putting chemicals in my body. But I'm like, mm, tan's so nice.
