Starting point is 00:02:05 They have done a double interview process, meaning we have our boss Rod, who lives in Nashville, who's over all of country, the format, and then our New York boss, who's over our syndication, they've been cross-interviewing them,
Starting point is 00:02:17 so that each of them have interviewed these people separately, and then they do like a ranking, and then the top four or five people are going to come and deal with the hammer here. That'd be me. Oh. And so then hopefully we'll have somebody in the next three weeks,
Starting point is 00:02:31 or so. So, yeah, that could be a thing. Wow. That's going to be crazy. Just got off an email there as we tried to find a new executive producer. I did finish the boys last night on Amazon. It's good. It may not be your jam.
Starting point is 00:02:45 Right. It's not super superheroy. Yeah, no, I should try it out, especially if my husband will like it. Episode one's a little nutty, and you don't really know what's going on at first. But if you can get through two episodes, I think you're just in. It's one of the best shows I've seen in a long time. Yeah, some people sent me. some notes about episode one. I was like, what?
Starting point is 00:03:05 Maybe you don't remember something crazy you went down? Oh, the whole thing's crazy because it's superheroes, but it's their real life behind the scenes. Gotcha. Which is why it's kind of nuts. Because it's based on a true story. Totally. So you love it.
Starting point is 00:03:16 I finished that, and I was only going to watch an episode and a half last night because had a half episode I was finished with, and I was like, all right, go back, watch it, then I watch another one, then have one left. So you got to watch the final episode. You can't just leave that sitting up there. So I finished that. Did you watch Big Little Lies? I did, and I finished it.
Starting point is 00:03:32 Yeah? Mm-hmm. I did not want it to be over. I wasn't ready for that. I need, now we have to wait again. It went by too fast. There's only like six episodes or seven maybe. There are so many shows now.
Starting point is 00:03:45 I felt the same way about the boys last night as it ended. I was like, God. And I was like, well, I can watch big little lies. There are just so many good shows now. Right. Now I'm going to go back to Handmaid's Tale because I'm not done with that. I watched a documentary called Jack of All Trades on Netflix. It's about a guy who is investigating baseball cards.
Starting point is 00:04:01 cards. And so he goes and apparently, just follow me for a second before it gets to the real reason the documentary exists, which you don't know. But this King Griffey Jr. rookie card that was worth a ton that really started Upper Deck as being one of the premier baseball cards. They overproduced it. They did it. What makes it valuable is there's only a certain amount, but they just kept producing them because they were basically printing money. And so if that's really what happened, then that's fraudulent by the company to even the year after they kept producing the rookie cards from the year before. So they're kind of investigating that, but really it turns into a dude.
Starting point is 00:04:39 The reason he's so into baseball cards is because his dad had a baseball card shop when he was young, but his dad just left him. And so the whole time he's like reliving some of his dad stuff and they pivot in the documentary to him going to meet his dad. It gets pretty deep. Oh, there's a personal story to it. Which isn't supposed to be. It's just supposed to be of baseball cards.
Starting point is 00:04:57 Yeah, because I read the description of the bottom and that's kind of what Oh, did you see it? Did it pop up in yours? I saw it and then I kind of clicked on, read the description. I'm like, oh, it's just about a guy collecting baseball cards. You know what I do is I save it on my list now on Netflix? Yeah. I never used the list before, but I always see something now. I'm like, I like, I'd like to get back to that.
Starting point is 00:05:13 And so, on Jack of All Trades, I clicked to my list. And then like a week or so ago, it was just up there. I was like, let me check out my list when I haven't cleared it off. And I watched it. That's a good idea. I never do that either. I always write it down and then I lose the piece of paper. Yeah, you just got to put it up there.
Starting point is 00:05:27 I put another show on my list last night called The Family, which is a new docu-series about this family that pretty much controls all the politicians. And supposedly they're in because of their religious background. They're like, they're the big Christian leaders, but really it's about power. And the guy, they go undercover to it. And it's real?
Starting point is 00:05:46 Yeah. Mike, will you look up to family and find me the, actually the definition of the show? Right on that down. Well, let me find out. Because if it's fiction, I just lie to all of you guys. It'd be a good fictional story too But in my mind it wasn't fiction But I finished the boys
Starting point is 00:06:01 Amy finished big little lies I was reading this story too About they went and did a hundred Instagram accounts And they were finding out How many of these followers are bots Or fake followers And Kim Kardashian's was half Oh that's a lot
Starting point is 00:06:17 Ellen's was I think half or so Now to play the other side of it There are so many bots They're even on you guys's accounts the more, the bigger your account is, the more that these bots jump on your account. So you'll find just random... What I'm not saying is that they're buying followers. Right. They just follow.
Starting point is 00:06:37 Even you guys' accounts, there'll be these fake accounts are setting up and they have to follow people. So, especially if you have a blue check mark, so especially you, Amy. Oh. You'll have bought accounts. So some of my new followers are not even real. Okay. So now Raymond just cramming vacation in my ears for no reason in the middle of a segment? Right. Yeah, my bad.
Starting point is 00:06:55 There's only about an inch of wiggle room and my mouse hits the entire Titanic board that we have in here and it'll play anything, it'll fire randomly. And that was the random song. That was the random song, your song, Vacation. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:10 I mean, you might as well hit it now. Now I'm in the mood for a vacation. Here you go. These are the top fake accounts. some soccer player from Germany named Tony Cruz. He has 51% of his 20 million accounts are fake. Ellen DeGeneres who has over 74 million followers, half of hers are fake. That's still 35.
Starting point is 00:07:45 I know. 37 million followers, for real. Other impressive are Courtney Kardashian, Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande, 46% fake. Miley Cyrus, 45% fake. My point is, I would imagine these people aren't all buying followers that a lot of these accounts that have to go and attach on to people. people so they can use them for other things too.
Starting point is 00:08:05 Every time you talk about these soccer players, I feel like I'm missing out on a whole group of people that the world knows. Yes, the rest of the world. That I have no clue who these people are. It's just not our sport, so it's the rest of the world sport. Wow. Yeah, so I read that. What else did I want to get mixed up in today?
Starting point is 00:08:24 Amy left her bag. I was watching your Insta story. By the way, what do you call your, Morgan number two? What do you call that part of your Instagram? If you're referring to that, what do you say, My. Insta story? You say Insta story?
Starting point is 00:08:34 Yeah. Okay. I was watching your Insta story. And that's what I call it too. I just didn't know if like the kids called it. My story. Well, I do call it my story sometimes, but only after I've declared that I'm on Insta story. Right.
Starting point is 00:08:49 Other than that, it would be your life story. So you got to. Ray, will you turn your mic down? There's some construction going on out there or something? I was watching your story. Mm-hmm. Hey. And you had left your suit.
Starting point is 00:09:02 case in a different part of the airport and walked off with it again. Yes, because I bought water. And then I left it at the little kios shop where I bought the water, which is sort of at the beginning where you start walking into the gates. It's at like C1. Yeah. And my gate was at like C-18. And I got all the way down there and realized... You didn't feel like you're walking on the airport a little freer than normal? Yeah. Because that'd have been like, oh boy, today's a great day. And I did a little bit. But I mean, I had... Yeah, I did. But I don't know. Of course, I get all the way to the gate. and yeah, that's when it dawned to me.
Starting point is 00:09:33 Like, something doesn't feel right. And then I was like, oh, my luggage. But at this point, I'm thinking, okay, it's probably been taken by security. And I was already, it was close to boarding time anyways. So I didn't have time to, like, go to security and prove that I was just buying water. So I thought I was going to get there. And then maybe I didn't know what was going to do to affect my flight. And I got there and my luggage was sitting there.
Starting point is 00:09:53 Nobody was even, it hadn't bothered anybody. No eyes were on it. Nothing. I just walked right up. Don't mind if I do. Took my luggage and went. to my gate and boarded the plane. Did you ever get your ID back when you lost it?
Starting point is 00:10:05 No. I wish somebody would find it like you did. Yeah, I did find it. We talked about that later on the show. Your Insta story. Put it on my story. Maybe somebody posts on their story and I missed it. Amy and I were on an airplane yesterday flying back from Texas.
Starting point is 00:10:20 And I'm on the window seat on Southwest. Amy's sitting next to me in the middle. And at first she wasn't. She was sitting aisle. Yeah, we were hoping that the middle seat. And we had it. It was the very end. It was the easy way to keep that.
Starting point is 00:10:31 We put our bags in it. No, no, no, act sick. Yeah, but this was to the point. We actually did get the empty seat. We got it. We got it. And we were like, score. And then they brought some woman on late, and it was the only seat left. So, Amy goes,
Starting point is 00:10:45 Amy moves to sit by me, and she takes the aisle seat. Right. And I was exhausted. So I fell asleep against the wall. And Amy was kind of listening to her headphones or kind of zoning out. I was on my computer. And all of a sudden, we look up and she's gone. Gone.
Starting point is 00:10:59 And her bag's gone. And we're up in the air. And she only took our seat, because our seat, I think, was the only one left on the airplane. And she was gone, her bag was everything. We were up in the air. She didn't just get off the plane. And I look at Amy and go, where's the woman go? And she goes, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:11:13 She's not here, though. I said, what if she was never here? Oh. Yeah. I've thought about that since Bobby said that. And I'm like, wait, so she never came back? No. I don't even know if she was real.
Starting point is 00:11:22 Eddie, she just puff. Wait, and her bags? Everything was gone. Nothing. It was like no trace of her. There was one point where I had to go to the bathroom and I even had to wait. wake her up and say, excuse me, can I go to the bathroom? So you did make contact with the bean?
Starting point is 00:11:36 I think. I mean, now I, I mean, at that point I was convinced she was real, but now it was so bizarre. We were looking around the plane. We were looking back and down the aisles. I was like, I don't see her. And I don't know where she would have gone. Then I thought maybe she's in the back in the bathroom for a really long time, but I looked back and there was nobody in the bathroom. She just poof. I don't even know. Gone. And I would, like, if she was an angel or done something, like she didn't even do anything. There are stories like that from my childhood Unless she saved the plane and we didn't know it
Starting point is 00:12:04 True. She went to go save something, yeah. Yeah, like that I believe growing up my whole life that those like stories, there was like a story that everyone told of this girl that went to a nightclub and danced with a guy the whole night And then like people said they saw him But he was kind of floating when they saw him dancing And then she never saw him again after that
Starting point is 00:12:23 They fell in love on the dance floor, never saw him again. By the way, you don't fall in love on a dance floor. I'm not a believer that people actually have love at first time believer that they go, wow, that person's really hot and I really love them and like them. But then it works out. Oh. Because in your life, you probably are super attracted to a lot of people quickly and it just doesn't work out.
Starting point is 00:12:40 So when it happens to work out once and you're super attracted to them early, that's all a sudden love at first sight. It's true. You've had that same feeling probably 30 times. But when it does work out, it ends up being, oh, it was love at first sight. Okay. Well, that takes out the fun of it all. Well, life's not fun sometimes.
Starting point is 00:12:56 Debbie Downer over here. Yeah, I mean. But true. But it's true. You're probably right. Yeah. How many minutes is the average person zone out every day? Amy?
Starting point is 00:13:05 A lot. Like Amy? Yeah. A bunch. A bunch. Right? That's how you quantify Amy. Just a bunch.
Starting point is 00:13:14 About 30 minutes a day, we just zone out. Sometimes I'm driving home and then I'm like, how did I get here? Sometimes I feel like you're like that on the show. You're like, how are we already at 715? It's not funny, Amy. What? Y'all do the same thing sometimes. If you want to keep seagulls away from your food, scientists say, stare at the seagull.
Starting point is 00:13:35 Okay. They say the birds are more than likely going to leave you alone if you're staring them down. And finally, most kids' favorite parent is their... Mom. Dad. Mom. Experts say it's because of the parent they're around the most and because of the strong connection you develop immediately after birth. Oh.
Starting point is 00:13:54 Are you around your kids more than your husband? No, it's probably equal, but I also didn't birth them. Do you think they like you more? Yes. Is he, because he's a disciplinarian? Oh, we're both disciplinarians. They're just more scared of him. Because he's alpha.
Starting point is 00:14:08 And you are? I don't know. Omega. The family, the show I was mentioning earlier, it's a limited series based on the nonfiction investigations of a journalism professor. They expose the fellowship, a fundamentalist Christian organization
Starting point is 00:14:25 quietly operating the corridors of the power of Washington, D.C. The family, officially the Fellowship Foundation, is an aggregation of a nonprofit and it just goes on and how they seek power and use religion as a way to find and produce power.
Starting point is 00:14:42 So it was a true story? Nonfiction. I'm gonna watch that. Based on two different books. Oh, much book? Two nonfiction books. The Family and C Street. Don't know about them. I'll watch that though. Me too. You write that down? Did. Put it on your list.
Starting point is 00:14:59 Did. It's kind of, Amy, when you talk about big little lies, you kind of just brushed through it. Like, did you not like it as much? Oh, no. I loved it. I'm already done. I know, but did you like it? No, I said, I was bummed. It was over. I was like, no, you can't stop there. Like, I need the, now I need the next season. Like, I have to know what's going to happen
Starting point is 00:15:17 from where it left off. Because season one was awesome. Yeah, I would say season two is just as good. And Merrill Street is amazing in it. Have you watched any of it? No, not the second one. Oh, you're going to love it. Yeah, I loved it. I'll recap, though, before you go in. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, just to remember everything?
Starting point is 00:15:32 Google. You don't have to watch anything. Just Google what happened season one, big little lie. Okay. Because then you'll know and it'll take right off. I didn't for the first 20 minutes. I was like, I don't know what's happening. Who lied? Who lied the big? Yeah, who's the big one? Yeah. But I looked it up and it made sense. All right, we're going to rock Monday's show.
Starting point is 00:15:48 My allergies are killing me a little bit, so I'm going to stop talking. Speaking of that, there's someone was singing Michael Jackson karaoke, and we were like Oh, turn it. We were like, stop singing now. Oh. Well, I just wasn't. I was singing. I want Bebop with you, baby.
Starting point is 00:16:04 Yeah, I get it. Who's that? I want to rock with you. No, that's Michael Jackson. Oh, they were seeing. You're getting me off my melody here. Sorry, what's the Michael Jackson's on? Rock with you.
Starting point is 00:16:15 Rock with you. Oh, night. So, off limits at karaoke now? Well, I don't, nothing's off limits because they were singing it and everybody was singing along and you know what? So were we. But still we were like. And then in the middle of it, we were like, oh, we were like.
Starting point is 00:16:27 Oh, they were singing man in the mirror. And he was singing it. It was like, going to make. change for once in my life and we're like feeling a little bit gonna feel real good and I was like yeah gonna make a difference gonna make it right
Starting point is 00:16:42 and they took a breath and Eddie that looked at each other and we're like nope and we went back back into it we were like we shouldn't do this we shouldn't be singing this song and then I'm stuck with the man in the mirror he he I'm asking him to change his ways
Starting point is 00:17:00 and then when it was done we felt guilty but we kind of were back in it. I feel like that might be your go-to. Oh. It's too much. Then nobody to take, change, mind-thinking yourself and make a change. Well, then you got to lose it to mind. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:15 The man. The man. Eddie now we're dreaming that, because we finished our show in Austin. So good. Thank you. Thank you, Amy. And it was a big show for us. There were close to 3,000 people there sold out.
Starting point is 00:17:29 And so we finished and we had done jokes and we had sang. and we go over to this little karaoke bar and we were like, I wonder if this is like Ed Shearing finishing a show and going to Santa's pub here in town and people were like, do you see Ed Shearing after his own show? Keep singing? And we were like, I wonder if anybody's going to think that about us? And then we never got up.
Starting point is 00:17:43 We were waiting for like TMZ to show up. We never got up. We're waiting for Austin 360 to show up. Never came. Never came. Never came. All right. We'll be in Amarillo and El Paso this week.
Starting point is 00:17:56 We'd love to see you. A new podcast with Ingrid Andrus is up. She has this song, if you're not familiar. So check it out. It's fantastic. Search for the newest episode of the Bobbycast. Also, Thomas Wrett, John Chris, the comedian. Who else came in?
Starting point is 00:18:23 Then I'm forgetting Mike Duncan or whatever. Yeah, that's a little earlier one. Oh, sorry, but that's just a good one. Oh, yeah. We put it up on the main feed of the show. Yeah. Hope you can check that out. Okay.
Starting point is 00:18:33 Audi 5,000. We'll see you on... What's up? A nice old reference there. Audi 5,000? Yeah. Should I bring that back? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:41 What's it from? If it sticks, it sticks. Audi 5,000 made from like Shaft or something. Mike, do we Google Audi 5,000? What's the Outcast guy? Oh, Andre 3000. Andre 3000. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:53 It's different. Stop it. I was getting a smoothie in the Austin Airport yesterday. Oh, I guess I googled Audi 500, which is a car. And you googled Audi. Yeah. So you got your smoothie? I got a smoothie and it was a small and I grabbed it.
Starting point is 00:19:10 And I guess it couldn't handle. The cup couldn't handle my strength from my hand. You crushed. And I grabbed it. Boom, all over my shirt. I know when I got to the gate. I was like, my dear, where's Bobby? He had an accident.
Starting point is 00:19:21 Oh, no. I put on my story. I said, baby's first smoothie. And it was all over me. Any reference to Audi 5,000, Mike? Oh, wow. Clueless? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:19:34 I feel like they did use it in clueless. But I think probably because it was used a way earlier thing, too. Okay. Who cares? Here's today's show. Here's Monday, August 12th. Bye everybody. We're transmitting across America. The Bobby Bones show.
Starting point is 00:22:41 That's right. Nah, here you. Turn it up. Come, Bobby. Hey, welcome back. We got another week for you. I think it's going to be a pretty good week, too. Morning.
Starting point is 00:22:47 Studio. Morning! I do want to start with this. Let's do on this day in country music, because that's a good one. The Bobby Bones show. On this day in country music. Blake Shelton, you got his first ever number one with... Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:23:00 I have no idea. Yeah, you do. I do? I really don't. Austin. Oh! You knew it, Amy. I did.
Starting point is 00:23:07 This is Mollett Blake, huh? Yeah. Yeah. Today in 2001, 18 years ago, Blake Shelton's first number one song with Austin. Turn that up. And P.S. If this is Austin, I still love you. And back when they had answering machines, they being us, we.
Starting point is 00:23:27 The song remained at number one for five weeks. It was his first single from his self-titled debut album. His record label actually shut down while the song was climbing the charts, which is interesting. Yeah. It just kept going. So he moved to Nashville right after high school, struggled, finally got a recording deal with giant records. So it was released on giant records. However, the label closed.
Starting point is 00:23:50 So then Warner Brothers took it. He's been with Warner ever since. Wow. The original title of the song was, if this is Austin, and they were like, that's too long. So now it's just Austin, five weeks, number one. It tied the records set by Billy Ray Cyrus in 1992 with... Aiky Breaky Heart for five weeks. So I thought we started to show off playing Blake Austin, right?
Starting point is 00:24:14 Nice. And we were in Austin all weekend. Yeah. Hey, let's go back. Sitting. World's collide. And that was today and country music. That was. This Day in Country Music.
Starting point is 00:24:24 Here's the Bobby Bones Show podcast, highlight segment of the day. I went to Texas over the weekend, and I missed two of my favorite artists of all time, Ben Foals and John Mayer. And they both played on two of the nights I was gone. What are the odds? Crazy. And so John Mayer goes out, and he played Thursday night. And so many people have sent me videos of this. So I just think I'll address it now so people will stop saying,
Starting point is 00:24:46 did you see it? Because I did. John Mayer and Chris Tableton played together. And so John Mayer said he sent Chris Dapleton to text saying, hey, you want to perform at the show when I'm here? And Chris said he was, but he said, hey, we should write a song. So they wrote it on Wednesday and performed it the next night. And Morgan Number 2 mentioned this in The Skinny on Friday show, but I went and found this video.
Starting point is 00:25:06 And so I love John Mayer, I love Chris Dapleton. And here's a clip. It's called I Just Remember That I Didn't Care. What a treat for everybody. And I had to get FOMO watching everybody's answer stories. Like that funny to you? Yeah, well, Amy, we were driving, I guess, to Austin. Was it Austin?
Starting point is 00:25:37 And you're on the phone, you're front. He's like, hey, Eddie, look at this. I'm sad about it. He was just so down about it. Chris Tabelson played with John Mayer. So stupid. Missed it, stupid. That happened.
Starting point is 00:25:48 Amy's son had his ninth birthday. How'd it go? It was great. Yeah, big party. And so fun. A lot of kids. and adults and Alexa. Yeah, Amy's son loves Alexa and thinks that she's real.
Starting point is 00:26:01 Here's a clip when Amy asked her son what Alexa look like. Here it is. Tell us what Alexa looks like. Blown. She has a shirt. She has her sunglasses. She has beautiful skin. Black.
Starting point is 00:26:17 And she looks pretty and handsome. And she wore sunglasses. So a lot of sunglasses there. like two times. And so a listener said, I'll be Alexa. And so she came to the party. And the t-shirt was black and it said Alexa and white letters on it. And she had big sunglasses on.
Starting point is 00:26:34 Yes. Like big blue, like clown sunglasses. And I puff paint that Alexa shirt. Oh, you did that? Yeah. Oh. I made it for her like, oh, probably about an hour before she got there, which, big mistake because the puff paint hadn't dried.
Starting point is 00:26:46 And when she put it on, like paint started. Stevenson, like, hugged her when she got there. And then he got puff paint on a set. And I was like, oh, this is just like, all going wrong. Did he think it was Alexa? I mean, it took a minute. I think he was just overwhelmed by everything at the party because there was a lot happening. We had like Pignada. We had a bouncy house. We had a bunch of people and he was, his grandparents. He was so excited. And he's never had a birthday party like that
Starting point is 00:27:10 before. So he was overwhelmed and I think he was just sort of like in shock or confused first. And then he warmed up and was like, you know, but I kind of pictured this whole Alexa and him running towards her and this whole, I had this dream scenario of how it was going to go down. Watch? Yeah, it was sort of like that. And then it didn't. And so it was a little awkward. And I was like, well, shoot, did he really want Alexa here or not?
Starting point is 00:27:32 And then she was so sweet. And she went up to him and she said to him and all his friend, she goes, I came all the way from Seattle to be here with you guys. Because that's where Amazon is from. Yeah. So super. She did her homework. Yeah, she did. She was ready.
Starting point is 00:27:45 She even had, she programmed songs into her watch so that that way she asked me what he might request. And sure enough, they did request Old Town Road. I knew he would because that's all he wants Alexa to play lately. And so she had it ready, but then her watch wouldn't work. So she was like pressing her watch and she would, anytime something would go wrong, she would be like, I'm experiencing technical difficulties right now. And then she just improvised and all of a sudden she just started singing, I'm going to take my hose to the old town road.
Starting point is 00:28:15 And then all the kids started singing. And then there was a piano nearby and they were like, Alexa, Alexa, play the piano. So she went over and just started pressing keys on the piano. piano. So it was interactive. It was fun. I feel like this could be a thing, like princesses and superheroes show up at birthday parties. Well, now Alexa can come to your party. So how did she arrive? Just in her car? I just am curious what kind of car likes to drive. I don't know. I didn't, I didn't go outside. But I didn't tell. So we were having it at our friend's house and I didn't tell him about her. I forgot. There was a lot happening. And he was outside and she pulled up and she was like,
Starting point is 00:28:53 is this Stevenson's birthday party? And he was. He's like, well, yeah, who are you? And she was like, oh, I'm a, I'm a listener of the Bobby Boch show. And he's like, er. Like, what? No. So he comes running and he said, Amy, do you have a listener that's coming here to be Alexa? And I was like, oh, yes, yes, I do.
Starting point is 00:29:10 And he's like, well, thank you for inviting strangers to my house. But it's fine. So she was good. She was good. She was so sweet. There was some awkward moments, but not really because of her. It was just because of the whole situation. And, yeah, we got photo ops.
Starting point is 00:29:25 The kids all sat on a bench with Alexa and got to take their picture. Did they all believe it was her? I mean, Stasheera kept trying to ruin everyone because she's old. She's like, this is not Alexa. And then Alexa told me that when she was saying goodbye, that she went over to say by to Stevenson and that he kind of got sad. And he looked at her and he said, but how am I supposed to talk to you tonight?
Starting point is 00:29:47 And she was just like, I'm always in the box. So she did great. Yeah. And you paid her? It was $100 and she asked when she was walking out the door, I said, where did you want me to donate it again? Because she said from the beginning she wanted to be a donation. She said she wanted to do the Red Cross disaster relief
Starting point is 00:30:03 because of the shootings and things that have been going on and they're in there supporting. So that is what happened. And it was pretty amazing. And he was happy. Yeah, he was happy. It was an overall great birthday. And I feel like she, Alexa was icing on the cake.
Starting point is 00:30:18 Yeah. Yeah. What was like, did he get presents? You thought him have presents? He did. And did anything cool? Alexa stayed for the present. opening two. Yeah. She was right there behind him. Wait, did you want her to leave? No.
Starting point is 00:30:28 No, no, but she... How long did she stay? I don't know. I mean... Did she forget about her and she just disappeared? No, but there was times where I felt like, oh, I better go up and see if Alexa's okay. But I mean, she was great. She didn't, her name's Teresa. And anytime I saw people introducing themselves to her, like my husband's parents, they're like, hey, we're da-da-da-da. And she was just like, oh, hi, I'm Alexa. She never broke character. So, it was awesome. Good for her. I would do it again. Let's go over to our producer, Raimundo. Ramundo, what you got over there?
Starting point is 00:30:58 Extreme heat warnings out west and in the south. Officials are warning not to be outside for extended periods of time. In Chicago, a cop center investigation for giving Hulk Hogan a ride across Chicago's O'Hare Airport with the sirens on. The ex-pro wrestler posted a video on his socials. In Tennessee, an extremely dangerous fugitive was caught over the weekend. A video doorbell security system saw him when he wandered into a driveway. I'll talk to Nicole. who is listening in Las Vegas.
Starting point is 00:31:27 Yeah, I'm on hold. Hey, Nicole. It's me, Bobby. Hey, Bobby, how are you? Good, what's happening? Oh, I just got to work, and I'm just texting in the show. Well, what do you want to say? Well, so I know that you have been looking for a girlfriend,
Starting point is 00:31:43 and everybody's super interested in your dating life, and I think you need to take your shot with Miss Alabama Hannah. Why her, of all people? Well, she's gorgeous and she's single. And I saw her post last night that said that you guys are friends, and I think you should just see what happens. Hannah is from The Bachelorette. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:08 I think it's probably a little too fresh for me to even. By the way, I think she's too young, too. How old is she? I don't know. You're old enough to... Old enough to what, Amy? Yeah, yeah, clarify. Usually those incisicences aren't good.
Starting point is 00:32:20 I mean, like, she's graduated college. She's on a TV show. And what do you mean is too fresh? Yeah. Well, she's just off the show. Oh, she's 24. Perfect. That's not perfect.
Starting point is 00:32:35 It'd be better if she was 26, but... When's her birthday? Over that 25 mark for sure. And a lot of my friends are like, hey, dude, you can date anybody in their 25 or plus. You're right. That's tough. Like, I want to talk to people about the fresh prints. Yeah, she has probably no idea about that.
Starting point is 00:32:52 I just want to hang out, maybe get a little Urkel chat. Oh, gosh. Maybe a little, can you believe that Zach Morris was going to JFK Junior High? And not have to explain. And there was no Kelly Kapowski. Oh, my gosh. Yeah. Anyway.
Starting point is 00:33:11 She turns 25 on September 24th. I don't know. So she'll be 25 soon. Sometimes we'll Instagram message each other. but never super flirty. I told you I met it. When I'm first I met her. She was like, I'm a big fan.
Starting point is 00:33:25 Are you can get the vibe? No. I don't think so. And also she's fresh off that show. Yeah. Like, you know, I don't think you want to hop in with anybody fresh off that show. Yeah, I mean, she's fresh off a dating 25 guys. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:37 You don't want to be 26. I mean, eventually. Listen, Nicole, what are your thoughts? You hear me talk about this? I mean, I think she's available. I think that she... I think you should do it. Why not?
Starting point is 00:33:52 I'm not going to shoot my shot yet. If she's still single on September which starts 25, possibly. We'll see about that then. The day after your birthday, you're like, what up? I have a joke. I don't mind ruining it because I haven't quite got there with it yet. But I talk about my dating cutoff. Like everybody's so obsessed with what my dating cutoff and my age is
Starting point is 00:34:09 and I finally figured out what my dating cutoff is. 72. Oh. The old age. Yeah, I went through the whole joke. So. What's up? That's really cut off?
Starting point is 00:34:23 No, not really. Whatever. People use humor to talk about their real feelings. Can you imagine? You guys find it who have been secretly dating? And it's somebody that's like 64. What'd you guys think about that? Hey man, you do you.
Starting point is 00:34:39 Yeah. If you're going to be okay with me dating 25-year-olds, you've got to be okay with me dating 64-year-olds. That's true. Hey, thank you, Nicole, for the call. Absolutely. Thanks for talking to me. Appreciate you.
Starting point is 00:34:49 in Vegas. What's on the schedule for today? Well, I'm at work. So I'm going to work and catch up on all things with Amy Brown and catch up on my BobbyCath. Oh, well, thank you very much. I appreciate that. Absolutely. All right, well, have a good day.
Starting point is 00:35:08 Thank you. Thank you. All right, there she is. There she is. Nicole, everybody. Our email address is Mailbag at bobbybones.com. Let's open to mailbag. Bobby's Mailbag. Good morning studio. My name is Loretta from Raleigh, North Carolina. I work at a state facility in Durham, where a lot of people work.
Starting point is 00:35:31 And I've worked at this place for more than two years. There is a particular place that I like to park, under a tree for the shade. I usually go and sit out in my car lunch so I can talk to my husband and private on the phone. But now there's a new person who found my spot and has taken it over. The person has on more than one occasion told me, I stole your parking spot, so she knows I've parked there previously. Now I get to work 20 to 30 minutes early every morning.
Starting point is 00:35:56 She's already there! My question is, should I confront her about, quote, my spot? Is it petty that I get upset over this? I just feel like if she does not go under her car, like I do, and I sit during the break. She should have the respect to let me be in the shade. Regards. Loretta.
Starting point is 00:36:16 Uh, she does put parentheses over my spot. So what my interpretation is is it's not really her spot, right? Right. She's somewhere she parks all the time. Amy, what do you want to say about to Loretta? I mean, unfortunately, it's not like I feel bad saying this, but it's, it's parking spots are first come first serve. Like, it's a real bummer. Like, I don't like that the other person swooped in knowing that it's quote unquote your spot.
Starting point is 00:36:39 But if they're getting their first, they probably after the end of the day, when they leave, their car being in the shade probably feels better to them than being in the sun. So I really feel like it's whoever gets there first. If it's not a dedicated spot, you're right. Now there is, you know. What is it called squatting? Like you're there first? Like if you're there for, if you park there long enough, it's yours.
Starting point is 00:37:02 If it goes to the judge, the judge is going to say that's not your spot. However, you know, you should almost respect common law parking spot. Oh, that's common law. Good way to put it. If she's there every day, it's not, again, she can't have it. But it's almost common law. That's her spot every day. Now, if she's just carrying about the shade for 20, 30 minutes,
Starting point is 00:37:25 do you know what? I'm just saying it's not her spot too. Lunchbox. Loretta, you go to her and be like, listen, you're the new girl. You want people to like you. And if you want people to like you, I can bring you into our circle if you'll give me the spot back. You have a right to that spot. You've been there for years.
Starting point is 00:37:42 you have seniority. So when you leave in the night, leave a cone there. Because I guarantee you, the most powerful thing in this world is a small orange cone. Everybody respects it. And she will be too lazy
Starting point is 00:37:56 to get out of her car and get the cone and move it to get in that parking spot. You want the spot, put a cone in it. So Amy and I say, Loretta's sorry. By the rules, it's not your spot. Lunchbox says it is your spot.
Starting point is 00:38:08 I don't know about laziness being the cone thing. I would just think that somebody else put the cone out. It wouldn't be laziness. It'd be like, oh, there's probably something going on here. Yeah, like they're going to do some work here. Construction.
Starting point is 00:38:17 Yeah. Okay, so Amy and I say, hey, you need to get there earlier. If you really want it, get the spot. Lunchbox says it's your spot. You've been there no longer. You know, I had this issue here at work. So when my last contract came up, I was like, I would like my own parking spot.
Starting point is 00:38:31 And I have my own spot here now. But I didn't until then. And if I arrived and the same spot I parking every day, somebody was in it, oh, well, sucks for me. But now I have a parking. Now I have my own spot. So here's what you do, Loretta. You get a job with IRAT radio.
Starting point is 00:38:45 You work for like 15 years and you build a show from scratch and hire your friends. And then you too can get your own parking spot in the garage. What do you think about that? Good logic? Yeah, you just have to wait 15 more years. And then if someone parks there, you get them towed. We talked to Amy B in my spot. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:02 I was all right with that. Ray Mundo, thank you. That's the mailbag. Close me out. And that was Bobby's Mailbag. Oh, yeah. Send us emails. mailbag at bobbybones.com.

I'm the host of Earsay, the Audible and I Heart Audio Book Club. This week on the podcast, I am sitting down with Ray Porter, the narrator of Andy Weir's audiobook Project Hail Mary, massive sci-fi adventure about survival and science, and what happens
Starting point is 00:41:58 when you wake up alone very far from Earth? I really had to make a decision because I caught myself getting that frog in my throat and starting to get teary as a. I'm narrating some of these sections and it's like, okay, yo, yeah, yo, is this indulgent? And I really thought about it. I was like, no, at this point, it would kind of be betraying the trust the author and the listener have in telling this story if I don't go through it. But there's places in this book that deeply emotionally affected me and I left it on the mic.
Starting point is 00:42:27 That's great. Because it served the story. People will say like, oh my God, I cried at the end. It's like, yeah, dude, me too. Done it once, and it's only been a year, so I think we're kind of in our groove a little bit. Hopefully it'll make it easier than waiting too long to have another one, and we're still in diapers with one, so hopefully it'll just transition right into the next one. And we have a lot of great help.
Starting point is 00:43:21 We have a nanny who's really, really amazing and helpful. According to Entertainment Tonight, congratulations out to Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani, who just bought a house together in Los Angeles. I'm Morgan number two. That's Your Skinny. It's time for the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good. Some party pooper called 911 on kids that were running a lemonade stand because they just didn't feel like that was right.
Starting point is 00:43:46 And they were kids out selling things and they weren't supervised and it just wasn't good. So police showed up. They responded to the call as they should. And turns out the mom was there with him. So they were supervised. And the cops just didn't really see the big deal. So they bought lemonade from the kids. Hopefully they like stood there and.
Starting point is 00:44:04 drank it in their uniforms so the people that were complaining saw them. Yeah. And they let the kids play with their guns. That'd be good. And the kids are like... They didn't. They didn't let them play with guns.
Starting point is 00:44:15 That'd been good part of the story. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But I don't know. Just another story of police officers being awesome. There you go. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. Lobby Bones show.
Starting point is 00:44:25 Bonehead. Norrie of the day. This story comes to us from South Carolina. Two people drove up to the drive-thru, trying to order a couple, you know, combo meals. pull up and pay. Only problem is they tried to pay with money from a board game.
Starting point is 00:44:39 And the cashier was like, man, I play that board game called police, but they drove off, but they got the license plate, and they were arrested with a bunch of counterfeit money. So it must look like real money. It couldn't be monopoly money. Right. It's like green and real money, but it just doesn't have the same feel as what they said. Boy, if you're a board game making close to even real money, that's risky, huh? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:00 We had a bunch of fake money here for a photo shoot. It looks so real. It looks so real. It looks so real that I thought we could pull it off. I bought a bunch of clothes that money. That's serious to if you get busted counterfeiting. I had a friend once who, on his radio show had made a joke about making fake money
Starting point is 00:45:18 and the freaking Fed showed up to radio station. Whoa. Yeah. I had a fake $20 bill once. Whoa. You know how they put the marker thing on it? Yeah. And then it just wrote on it.
Starting point is 00:45:29 Did they hold it up to the light? Yeah. Back then it was like a marker and then it was just like, oh, that's not real. Like, oh, that's weird. That's crazy. Well, you didn't know it was fake.
Starting point is 00:45:37 No, no, no, it was just one of mine. It's like just a $20 bill that I got from somewhere. And you never got to spend it? No, they just took it away and I'm like, wow, that's really sucks. You're just straight S-O-L? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:46 Yeah. Crazy, right? There it is. All right, lunchbox. I'm lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day. Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby bones.
Starting point is 00:46:03 Time to play Amy versus Lunchbox. Here we go. Amy. You get questions. We googled trivia questions for dudes. We ask them to you. They're supposed to be hard. Are you ready for question number one?
Starting point is 00:46:16 Ready. Action. What is the lowest ranking belt color in karate? What is the lowest ranking belt color in karate? Yes. I mean, oh, golly. Talk it out, sweetie. I mean, I know black belt's the highest.
Starting point is 00:46:38 What's that? You've never said that. Black belt's the highest. I feel like lowest is either like. I don't know, something like purple or yellow or something, but maybe yellow, red, black is, I feel like red's more black. I think you're thinking of snakes? Yeah, kill a fella.
Starting point is 00:46:53 I didn't yell like, kill fella. Ooh, so there's got to be red now. Oh, don't see that one. Okay. What's the lowest color? Purple? Is that your answer? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:04 Lunchbox you can steal. When I used to do karate, I'd say white belt. White belt. That makes sense. Karate. I think I've heard that before. I does it. Dang it.
Starting point is 00:47:14 How high did you get in karate? I did some stuff in my backyard, training videos for MMA, UFC. Okay. Amy. Yep. Engine string is measured by what? Engine string is measured by what? Horsepower.
Starting point is 00:47:33 Correct. I thought you were about to give me a multiple choice, and I was like, whoa, I'm glad I didn't answer. No. Just wanted you to listen to it out. Are you ready? The Ravens play the Packers in the... NFL preseason on Thursday. Who is the Packers
Starting point is 00:47:49 Quarterback? Packers. Oh my gosh, I feel like I know this. From Green Bay. The Green Bay Packers is that guy. He's that guy. Oh, my gosh. What is his name? He's like, that guy. Does he have brown hair?
Starting point is 00:48:05 You can do it, sweetie. Does he have, stop saying that. He stopped saying that. I know who it is, but I can't think of his name. There are people that talk like that all the time. I know. Sweetie. I know.
Starting point is 00:48:17 You know he can steal, right? He's going to get it. I know he's going to get it. And he's that, he's got brown hair and he's that guy. I could just, I could feel like I could sketch him for you. Go ahead. We'll accept that. So he's a brown-haired male.
Starting point is 00:48:31 We'll definitely accept the sketches. I feel like he has brown hair. It's like kind of, what is his name? Oh, yeah, five seconds. Oh my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Five, four, go with purple. Three, two.
Starting point is 00:48:42 Team baby. Team baby. I don't know. What? Team baby. Hold on. Now when lunchbox says it because he's going to get it
Starting point is 00:48:49 right, I got to Google this guy. Lunchbox is still? Aaron Rogers. Aaron Rogers. Yeah, Rodgers. Yeah, Rodgers.
Starting point is 00:48:55 Yeah, Rodgers. Yes, there he is. He's on those commercials. Yes, golly, that's who it is. I'm so annoyed. His brother was on the Bachelor or whatever. Yeah, Jordan. Okay.
Starting point is 00:49:06 Lunchbox, are you ready? Yeah. Over to lunchbox. Here we go. Three questions. We googled. Trivia questions for women. Sweet.
Starting point is 00:49:14 This is what came up. Foundation? Powder and blending eye are types of what? Blush. Incorrect. Foundation, powder, and blending eye are types of what? Makeup. No?
Starting point is 00:49:38 No. It's makeup brushes. Okay. I appreciate you holding back because I know you're upset. No, I as a woman that puts stuff on every day. I know, I know you are, but you're just holding it. I can appreciate that you're not fighting with it and just take, I respect. I didn't get you a point, but respect for me.
Starting point is 00:49:59 You're holding your tongue right now. What we got to do, Amy. You definitely don't do that. I do. Oh, you don't. Lunchbox. The Weekend. He spells his name funny like this?
Starting point is 00:50:10 He doesn't know that. He spells a weird. The weekend just broke up with his girlfriend. What was her name? I know he dated her in the, I mean, Demi Lovato? Amy, who is the weekend's girlfriend spelled W-E-E-K-N-D? I don't know. Was he dating Selena Gomez?
Starting point is 00:50:29 Oh, sorry. Bella Hadid. Oh, that's right. They were dating. And finally, a woman's shirt that extends just above the natural waistline is called a what? Say that again? Above the waistline? A woman's shirt that extends just above the natural waistline is called?
Starting point is 00:50:49 So that would mean it goes up. It doesn't extend. I'm so confused by the wording. But I would say a crop top. That's right. Wow. That is correct. Amy, I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:50:58 You lost. That's okay. And now you're down eight to seven overall in the season. Down? Yeah. It was 7 to 7 going into today. Oh, I missed that part. I know.
Starting point is 00:51:08 But now Lunchbox is up. He's the big winner today. Pulls that on the lead as you guys play to 10. M.B. versus Lunchbox. Lunchbox is victorious. That question wouldn't matter to you still lost. Yeah, I know. Okay.
Starting point is 00:51:35 Just making sure. No, I'm not. It's fine. I'm mad at myself for missing Aaron Rogers. I knew I had his face in my head. I just couldn't think of his name. I would have given you a sketch point if you could have pulled that off. That's all I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:51:44 I know. It's a Bobby Bones show. All right. from the Jimmy Fallon show where the actress Dakota Johnson says she would call and make reservations as George Clooney. I wanted to go to the good restaurants when I was going at when I was in high school.
Starting point is 00:51:58 No, I don't. Because nobody else is named George Clooney. I met him a couple years ago. We were traveling to the Toronto Film Festival and we happened to be on the same plane and I was like, hi, I'm Dakota and he was like, oh, I've heard of you. I know what you do. It's like you call
Starting point is 00:52:14 and you use my name. It's okay. So we had lunchbox to call a couple restaurants So the first one, you called to make reservations as Keith Urban. And what did you tell them? Where did you call? I called some, I mean, I just Googled the most expensive restaurants in New York. Oh, wow. You Googled that.
Starting point is 00:52:30 Yeah. Yeah. And I can't even announce. I can't pronounce the name. I don't even know how to say it. But I just said I wanted to bring my wife and kids for a night out on a, you know, Saturday night. All right. Here's lunchbox calling to make a reservation to a New York fancy restaurant as Keith Urban.
Starting point is 00:52:46 I may I help you? Oh, yeah. I was trying to get a reservation. for Saturday night around 8 p.m. for six people? I'm sorry, we do not have that availability. Oh, well, this is Keith Urban, and I was just trying to get in. I was trying to bring Nicole and the kids. I'm sorry, all of our large tables have been booked.
Starting point is 00:53:03 Oh, you can't just bump someone for me? I'd love to bump someone for you because I'm a huge country and western fan, but unfortunately now. What if I told you I was going to bring Tim McGraw with me? That would make it seven people, and we couldn't do seven people. either. Like what if I sing you break on me? No, sorry. All right. Thank you. You're welcome.
Starting point is 00:53:26 Good effort. A lot of things stuck out to me there. One, they humored it. They were like, oh, maybe this is. Two, that she's a country and western van. Come on. That left a long time ago. No, but she's older. She sounded older. And then the fact that she thought lunchbox might have been Keith Urban in any capacity
Starting point is 00:53:44 whatsoever. The accent, no part of him sound like Keith Urban. Did you hear how his voice changed after he said, well, I'm Keith Urban. Uh-uh. Did he do that? Yeah. Raymond, you hit that again, this clip, please. I may I help you? I was trying to get a reservation for Saturday night around 8 p.m. for six people.
Starting point is 00:54:03 I'm sorry, we do not have that availability. Oh, well, this is Keith Urban, and I was just trying to get in. I was trying to bring Nicole and the kids. It gets a little deeper. All of our Lord. All of our kids. All right. It did not work.
Starting point is 00:54:14 Crazy, huh? I couldn't believe it. I mean, Keith, you're not going to bump a normal person for Keith Urban, like, get out and you're a big country and western fan, come on. And the fact that he was bringing Tim McGraw, only made her a more angry. Now with seven people? What are you talking about? Tim.
Starting point is 00:54:28 All right. So then lunchbox you call. And I'm Tim McGraw. Where? Another fancy place in New York. Not the same place. Not the same place. Different restaurants.
Starting point is 00:54:35 Lunchbox is calling famous restaurants as people. Good afternoon. Speaking, how may I help you? I guess, ma'am. I was trying to get a dinner reservation for 20 people on Saturday at 8 p.m. 20 people? Yes, ma'am. My name is Tim McGraw.
Starting point is 00:54:49 Mr. McGraw. The maximum would be a party of eight, sir. Sorry about that. Do you not like my music? I love your music. Your music is amazing. And I would love to see you and have you here at the restaurant. What's your favorite song of mine?
Starting point is 00:55:03 I like all of them. Do you have a place that I can put my guitar while I'm there? We can hold it in the code check for you, yes. And I mean, so Saturday night sounds like a lot of fun. You're going to be there Saturday? I'll be there. You don't have, let me ask you, sir. You don't have an assistant who makes you call for you?
Starting point is 00:55:17 You make everything to yourself? I mean, usually my assistant does, but I mean, I just thought I'd call this time. You know, sometimes I like to get back to my roots. Okay. All right. Thank you so much. And I'll see you Saturday. Okay.
Starting point is 00:55:30 See you then. A lot of things to check out for me. They just know. That's great. They're so nice. They are. They like know that. One, it goes from 20 to 8.
Starting point is 00:55:38 There's no question about, you know what? I'm just good. We'll cut those people. He's like, she's like, well, I take 8. And the conference just keeps going. It never gets addressed again. It's just, all right, I'll see you Saturday. So he had to drop.
Starting point is 00:55:49 preservation by more than half. And then he turns into like an old cowboy character. I'm Tim McGraw to your partner. That's like a John Wayne all of a sudden. But at least she has a play and I asked for my guitar and she goes
Starting point is 00:56:07 I can put it at Cochick. I mean they even have a place for my guitar. And then for her to believe that he's going to take his guitar like dinner. Okay, yes. And the other part that stuck out to me was when he wants to go back to his roots. And not like that. That's straight out of pure country, right? But not just call a restaurant.
Starting point is 00:56:24 His roots aren't calling super fancy restaurants. That's true. Like somebody's roots aren't calling super expensive New York restaurants himself. Yeah. But you have a reservation for Saturday night. Saturday night. For eight. Eight.
Starting point is 00:56:36 Yeah, 20 wasn't going to work. I'll just take eight. I mean, if they're going to give you eight, you got to take eight. And why didn't your assistant call? I just want to get back to my roots. Yeah, I got just. Yeah. All right.
Starting point is 00:56:45 There he is. That's pretty funny. You can call as celebrities and get tables, apparently. there you go. Thank you, lunch, Fox. You're welcome. Or Tim McGraw, you mean. Thank you, Tim. Tim McGraw. You're welcome.

Starting point is 00:59:16 Hey, everyone, it's Cal Penn. I'm the host of Earsay, the Audible and I Heart Audio Book Club. This week on the podcast, I am sitting down with Ray Porter, the narrator of Andy Weir's audiobook Project Hail Mary, massive sci-fi adventure about survival and science, and what happens when you wake up alone very far from Earth? I really had to make a decision because I caught myself getting that frog in my throat and starting to get teary as I'm narrating some of these sections and it's like, okay, yo, yeah, yo, is this indulgent? And I really thought about it. I was like, no, at this point, it would
Starting point is 00:59:54 kind of be betraying the trust the author and the listener have in telling this story if I don't go through it. But there's places in this book that deeply emotionally affected me and I left it on the mic. That's great. Because it served the story. People will say like, oh my God, I cried at the end. It's like, yeah, dude, me too. Listen to Earsay, the Audible and I Heart Audio Book Club on the IHeart Radio app or wherever you get your podcasts. Here's Amy's pile of stories. So Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have split after 10 years together, but just eight months of marriage.
Starting point is 01:00:33 Miley's rep said they still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals and they will share like time, like their animals while they spend this time apart. But they need to focus on themselves and their careers. You know, I thought for a second you were going to say they're kids and I was like, kids? Yeah. Like, do you have to put out a statement about the animals? That's why I read that part first.
Starting point is 01:00:53 I thought it was kind of funny. I did see they were splitting up and then I thought, did they just, you know, get married to try to save their relationship? Mm-hmm. Because if, I don't think things just went rotten all of a sudden after eight months. Well, there was, like, rumors going around and even on Twitter just last month, Miley tweeted, good to see everyone is as dumb as they were in 2009. Some things never change.
Starting point is 01:01:15 And she was responding to, like, people believing the rumors. She's like, stop believing the rumors. We just celebrated our 10 years of, like, being together. I would do that, too, though. Oh, yeah? Yeah, I would do that too. Covered up. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:25 What else you got? Well, Amazon is opening a liquor store, and they're starting in San Francisco, and they're saying that it may, you know, trinkle into other cities. But the plan is you can go into the liquor store yourself to buy liquor, or you can have it delivered on Amazon Prime Now. Is Trinkle a new verb? Is that not it? Trickle?
Starting point is 01:01:48 Oh. Trickle and tinkle. Can I mix there? The tinkle razor is what I used to shave my face. So what is it? Trickle. Trinkle. What do I say?
Starting point is 01:01:57 Trinkle. All right, what else you got? So kids actually do want to hang out with their parents. So this is such great news. In a survey done by parents. No, no, no, no. You find that kids want to hang out with them. How old of kids?
Starting point is 01:02:11 According to a survey, 73% of kids say they want more opportunities to do stuff and bond with their parents and siblings. And the top activities they want to do are play sports, go to the pool, hit up the movies, exercise, or maybe like actually go to the beach if that's an option. But that's like... And who did the survey? I don't know exactly who. You just found one and copy to paste it.
Starting point is 01:02:35 But I thought it was great. And then my daughter did say to me this weekend, and while it was at Stevenson's birthday party and he was getting all the attention, she did come up to me and say that I am not paying attention to her. And I said, well, honey, we're entertaining a party. There's lots of people here. Like, what is the deal? She goes, no, no, it's not just a night. You never pay attention to me.
Starting point is 01:02:54 And I was like, somebody's hormonal right now. But that along with this made me think maybe she does want to hang out with me more. Sometimes I gave her space. But if she thinks I'm not paying attention to her, and now that I see this, I'm going to be like, what do you want to do today? Let's hang out. Eddie, your kids want to hang out with you? I think so. They enjoy it when we do stuff.
Starting point is 01:03:15 they're just like, that's fun, and then the next day they want to do it. Problem is when you give them like, what is it, you give them an inch, they want a mile. Yeah. So then they want to hang out all the time. Oh, and I do have the age range, Eddie, since you asked for that. Kids were pulled between the ages 6 and 17 years old. So boom. Okay.
Starting point is 01:03:31 No 13-year-old wanted to hang out with mom and dad that much. Just from my personal survey. All right, thank you. There you go. All right. I'm Amy. That's my pile. That was Amy's pile of stories.
Starting point is 01:03:46 An older guy who lives in Arlington, Virginia was rescued by a mail carrier after falling and not being able to get up. He survived on the kitchen floor for five days by drinking Coca-Cola that was in arm's reach. So a neighbor, Jared Agnew, said a mail carrier was going by. I was like, hey, is something up in this guy's house? Like, a guy has been there for a few days. And he's always going to when I'm around. And so they ended up going to the house, call police. They got in the house.
Starting point is 01:04:15 They found out he couldn't get up, but luckily, within reach, was Coca-Cola and kept drinking the Coca-Cola. And so he's alive. Thanks to Coca-Cola. Wow. That's awesome. There you have it. Let me go over and talk to Radika in Austin, Radica. You're on the Bobby Bone Show.
Starting point is 01:04:33 How are you? Hi, good morning, Bobby. Good morning, studio. Morning. Hi, thank you for talking to me. This is my first time listening to you guys live. Usually I'm listening to the podcast. I can't believe I'm listening to you guys.
Starting point is 01:04:45 my person to say hello. Oh, well, thank you very much. I meet to Austin from New York City about eight years ago, and it was a tough transition, and I was commuting pretty far, and your show is what kind of helped that move. So thank you so much. You guys are so amazing and so positive in the morning, and I love listening to you guys. Oh, well, thanks a lot. Well, appreciate that call.
Starting point is 01:05:05 We like to be told that people like us. Let's be truthful, right, guys? Yeah. Yeah, because so many times we get on Internet, and they don't. I got on Facebook. Morgan number two have posted something. It doesn't even matter what it was. It was like a tree fell.
Starting point is 01:05:19 And then people were just going in on me. Bobby wasn't such an idiot. The tree wouldn't have fallen. Like, I went to the Facebook page one time for like three months. I can't go over there. So I appreciate the call. Thank you, Radica. That's a pretty cool name too.
Starting point is 01:05:32 Thanks for calling. Thank you. Bye-bye. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. There was a girls lacrosse tournament last week, and there's two teams on the field playing against each other. And the one team notices, man, our opponents are playing in regular sneakers.
Starting point is 01:05:50 They need to have cleats on. But it turns out they couldn't afford cleats. So after the game, the team went and bought the other team all cleats. So they would have them for the rest of the tournament. Oh, wow. I think of their sizes. I'm thinking way too practical now. I mean, they probably went to the coach on the DL and said,
Starting point is 01:06:06 hey, can we get your sizes? We want to buy you cleats. But they bought the whole team cleats so they wouldn't have to play in their sneakers. That's awesome. And that's what it's all about right there. That was Tell Me Something Good. The latest from Nashville and Hollywood. Morgan No. 2. 30-second skinny.
Starting point is 01:06:22 Brantley Gilbert's wife is pregnant with their second baby, and he has always wanted to make sure his kids know his voice and music even before they were born. I heard this thing when my wife was pregnant with them that babies can hear music. So I was like, hey, even when you may not be my biggest fan in the world sometimes, I need you to be listening to this music. So he knows my voice, you know, and I've been the same way with our little girl, you know. I didn't know you're going into a clip, so I was about to do an impression. I didn't know who was talking.
Starting point is 01:06:50 Twinkle, twinkle, little star. It's me Brantley. I know who you are. All right, what else you got? Morgan number two? According to sources, congratulations are out to Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani. They just bought a house together in Los Angeles. I would have assumed they had already bought a house together.
Starting point is 01:07:05 I guess not, eh? Where were they living? I think Blake might have been in Oklahoma and Gwen is out in Los Angeles. He must have been staying at her crib then at her apartment. Because he's in Los Angeles, too. Okay, well, they bought it. How much? I don't know. It was pretty big, though.
Starting point is 01:07:21 All right, what else? Tyler Hubbard of Florida, Georgia Line, and his wife Haley are close to their baby boy being born, and he says they're ready for the move on the road from one to two babies. Done it once, and it's only been a year, so I think we're kind of in our groove a little bit. Hopefully it'll make it easier than waiting too long to have another one, and we're still in diapers with one, so hopefully it'll just transition right into the next one. and we have a lot of great help. We have a nanny who's really, really amazing and helpful.
Starting point is 01:07:47 I watch his Instagram stories, and he has a lot of his daughter on there before he goes out to do shows, like high-fiving. I was like kids and headphones. So much so that I want to wear headphones like that when I go to a concert. Some people will think I'm cute. So cute. Morgan number two, is that it?
Starting point is 01:08:00 Yep, Morgan number two, that's the skinny. Folks, it's your buddy and my... Mr. Bobby Bones. Over to Amy with the Morning Corny. The Morning Corny. How do Lighthousekeepers communicate? How do Lighthousekeepers communicate? Shine language.
Starting point is 01:08:29 Ah, yeah. Thank you. There it is. It's a good one. That was the Morning Corny. All right, let me go and talk to Rachel in Texas, who's on the phone. Hey, Rachel, good morning. How are you?
Starting point is 01:08:46 Hi, Bobby. Morning studio. Morning. Morning. I just just calling and tell you that my husband and I went on our very first, like, real date night since having our baby girl, to see the Raising Idiots on Saturday in Austin. And it was the best time ever. How was the show to you? Oh my gosh, it was so much fun.
Starting point is 01:09:04 Well, thank you. We appreciate you coming. It was just the best. Did you see Amy there? I'm sorry? Did you see Amy? I saw her on the floor and I told my husband, I wish I could just jump down and give her a hug, but no, I couldn't say hi, but I couldn't see hi, but I didn't see hi, but I didn't. I did see her, and that was really fun.
Starting point is 01:09:19 And then just seeing you and Eddie in person was awesome. My husband and I actually went to your comedy tour last year for our anniversary, so maybe it's kind of a tradition. But we're really enjoying seeing the show and y'all. Well, thanks. We love y'all. We appreciate that. Thanks for the call, and congratulations on getting that first date after the baby.
Starting point is 01:09:35 Yeah. Is that a hard one, Eddie, after you have a kid? Oh, yeah, that's hard. It's hard to get out. Well, my wife just didn't want to leave the kids at all. It was almost like a year. We're like, we need to go on a date. So, yeah, it's hard to get out.
Starting point is 01:09:45 Well, who had the kid, Rachel? I'm sorry? Who had your kid? Or did you just leave it home? Let it chill. Oh, my mom and dad. It was really difficult, but he survived. We survived.
Starting point is 01:09:56 Were you checking your phone the whole time to see if they had any messages? I was watching on the monitor. I had all the things, but I was still paying attention, I promised. Oh, I wasn't talking about that. I just wondered if you're watching your kid. I'd be tough. Rachel, thank you. Thanks, Bobby.
Starting point is 01:10:10 All right, see you later. Do you know what I put up in my dog's room, speaking of kids? I put up a camera. A monitor? A popy cam? No, listen, I have a home security endorsement that I do, right? And so they sent me another two small cameras for the new product that I talk about. And so I put it up and I watch my dog.
Starting point is 01:10:30 And I want to see what his sleep patterns are and what he's doing in his room. Because I'm moving from out of his cage to just having the room by himself now. I just need to see what's going on in there. Yeah. So hit the app. Boom. It's a blinkxte2, I believe is what it's called. So nobody would judge you if you wanted to use the blink
Starting point is 01:10:48 Just to watch your dog You don't even blame it on sleep patterns Well no I put him in a new room I want to see if he's sleeping or not I'm not blaming it on it I just literally I'm like there's nothing else for him to do in there I just want to see if he's chilling Read the book
Starting point is 01:10:59 Yeah what does he do? Sleeps Lucky for me just sleeps The Bobby Bones show Our listener suggested segment It's the show skinny As led by Morgan number two Here we go
Starting point is 01:11:12 Bobby Bonesh. The latest from Nashville and Hollywood. Morgan number two, 30 second skinny. Bobby spent the weekend in Texas, first San Antonio, and then Austin for the Raging Idiot's shows. He also found a random girl's ID after singing some karaoke post-Austin show. He posted on her on Instagram and he got it back to her super quickly. That's right.
Starting point is 01:11:34 So cool. I can give you that story later, but one, she also wasn't very happy with me, but I can tell you that later. I think she was more happy with me than she wasn't, but a part of her was. I just found her idea in the parking lot. I was like, I'm going to do a good Samaritan thing and take it, put in my pocket, take it back to my place. Right.
Starting point is 01:11:50 Share it. Yeah. We'll talk about that coming up. I'll say this. The shows were fantastic. It's mostly a comedy show, a little bit of music in it. But we're playing Amarillo and El Paso this weekend. And we had to have the conversation.
Starting point is 01:12:03 You know, do we still go to El Paso after the shootings that were there? And to us, it was like, yeah, of course we go. We should go. And so that was definitely a conversation for us. was do we still go to El Paso? Is it too soon? I think it had it been a week early, we probably wouldn't have. But I think we should go back. We kind of owe it to them to go.
Starting point is 01:12:20 If you buy tickets and you want to come and laugh, then we'll be there. So Amarillo and El Paso this weekend. And you will laugh. Yeah, Amy was... We can talk about it a little bit, but Amy was surprised. So much so I was a little bit offended. In a good way. In a good way.
Starting point is 01:12:36 Amy was surprised at how good the show was. Really? Later on. Okay. But she was like, it was so, so good. And I'm like, but what did you, because it's not just music. It really is comedy. It's like definitely more in the wheelhouse.
Starting point is 01:12:48 But we'll talk about it later. Okay. But a little bit, he said it like three times. She kept coming from one. It was so good. And I'm like, what did you expect it to be? A QBC commercial? Listen, it's different.
Starting point is 01:12:59 And yes, we'll get into it later. But it's a different show. One, like, I haven't seen y'all do before. So there's that component. And there's also that I'm with y'all every day. Like some of the stuff you think like, I'm like, okay, you know. We can get old. With people all the time, things just aren't always as funny, you know?
Starting point is 01:13:15 But this was? Yeah. Okay. We'll take it, bones. We'll see about that. I find a way to be offended and everything Amy says to me, so we'll see about that. What else you got for Amy over there? Amy, she spent the weekend with high school friends, and it got her excited for her 20-year
Starting point is 01:13:29 reunion later this year. She also tried a white claw for the first time. Oh, yes, I did. Same night. My high school friends and I, we were like, is this like the Zima of today? because that was like the popular drink back when we were younger. But, I mean, yeah, it was so fun. Saw them on Friday night.
Starting point is 01:13:45 They came to Stevenson's birthday party. And it was like, oh, my gosh, we got our 20-year reunion coming up. So it was fun to see everybody. All right. What else you got? Lunchbox took Baby Box to his first ever parade, and they tried a new Mexican restaurant in town called Super Ica. Superica?
Starting point is 01:14:01 Yeah, something like that. My wife loves Tex-Mex. So whenever, I guess she has a little app on her phone, whenever a new Tex-Mex restaurant opens up, gets an alert and we go to it that night. Well, they got an app for everything. Wow. What about Eddie? And Eddie went to dinner with Bobby before their raging idiot show and a listener
Starting point is 01:14:18 picked up their check without telling them. That's true. We never found out who it was. It's crazy, right? We went to a place called Polvos, which we've been to many times. Yep. But Eddie and I walked over from the venue and we ate. We were rushing out pretty quick too. Yeah, we had to get back. And then we asked to pay for the check. We get the check. And they're like, oh, it's taken care of by someone over there. They said, They really appreciate us, so they're going to pay for our dinner.
Starting point is 01:14:41 We couldn't find it. So whoever that was. Thank you. We appreciate that. And then it's the weird thing for me, because I was picking up the check, and I was like, well, I have to tip. And so I'm like, can I get a bill to tip on? So I can just write, because if there's no bill, how do you?
Starting point is 01:14:54 So luckily I had some cash in my wallet, and I was like, how much do you want? So I was just like, is this because you want? You asked your server, how much do you want? Yeah. Oh, cool. And they never know how to respond. No. I mean, how awkward.
Starting point is 01:15:06 They never know how to. So I'm like, how much do you want. And then they never know how to respond. Do they say, well, how much you got? Well, like, I hooked. That would be the best. That would be the best one. Right.
Starting point is 01:15:16 I hooked it up because I had an, like, I thought the bill was going to be about $60. So I had that in cash. Yeah. And so I just gave that. Because I was like, that's what the bill would have been anyway. That's amazing. And they paid.
Starting point is 01:15:25 Everybody won. You got free food, the listener did something nice. The waitress got a big tip. Yeah. Everybody won. It's a good. Morgan number two, anything else? Nope.
Starting point is 01:15:35 That's it. That's the show Skinny. I'm going to talk to Rose in Virginia, who's on the phone. Hey, Rose, how are you? Welcome to the Bobby Bone Show. Oh, hi, Bobby. How you doing? What's happening?
Starting point is 01:15:48 Oh, not much. Just, well, hi to everybody else as well. I just want to let you know that I did read your first book, and now I'm in the process of reading the second one. It's taken me a little bit longer than I was hoping. But it's okay. I've had two overdue notices from the library so far. I use bigger words in the second one, guys.
Starting point is 01:16:08 That's probably what it is. Yeah. Well, no, the second one, I'm kind of, the first one I seem to kind of like go through it so very quickly. And the second one, I kind of keep backtracking a little bit, rereading certain things that I'm trying to bring into my life, you know. Oh, it's nice of you. To fight, to work hard for something no matter how painful it is because, you know, the end result is going to outweigh the pain that it took me to get there. and so I just keep reading that to myself. So I'm trying to make these new goals for myself
Starting point is 01:16:42 based on what you put down in the book. So that's kind of why it's taking me a while. Well, thanks, Rose. So I just keep renewing it at the library. Just okay, well, two more weeks. I appreciate that. And I went to the public library the other day, and I looked it up. I was seeing my books here.
Starting point is 01:16:57 Did you check it out? No, I didn't check it out. I'd look to see if they were there. Rose, have a good day. How about this? I did this Bobbycast with new artist Ingrid Andrus. And I was talking to her, I said, hey, what's the one thing that everyone should have that's less than $100?
Starting point is 01:17:15 And I was not expecting this answer. A neck pillow. You're a neck pillow person on a plane? I feel like early flights, especially on radio tour, I just need something to pass out on. Otherwise, I'm going to fall on the person next to me and probably drool all over them. See, I don't believe neck pillows work. I believe they're a placebo. I put one on my head does nothing.
Starting point is 01:17:33 It's like my head's just wearing a necklace, a pillow necklace. Yeah. And so I was shocked that that was her answer. She's a fantastic artist. Here's a clip of ladylike. Maybe you've heard this song before. But I'm a lady like, whoa. This is her talking about what it was like writing with Alicia Keys and how she tried to play it cool during the writing session? She was so welcoming and warm and I kind of took on the role as lyricist in the room because I kind of figured out like where the holes were in the session. So I feel like that occupied my time and I didn't really get too caught up in it until she, until we all stepped out and she recorded the song. And then that's when I was like, oh my God. Different level?
Starting point is 01:18:14 Yeah. And then Sam Hunt, what you're talking about writing with Sam Hunt when he was getting back into it? I feel like he was just getting back into songwriting, which was interesting because I'm like, you are such a great songwriter. And he was so much like, oh, is this a good idea? Like, I'm not really sure. I'm like, you're Sam Hunt. Like, what do you do it?
Starting point is 01:18:30 Did he know he was Sam Hunt though? Or did you reminding him actually? Once you told him, though, he was good. Then he snapped out of it and it was fun. I checked out the new Bobbycats with Ingrid Andrews. It's fantastic. Here are the results from our fantasy draft. By the way, I have made a new declaration.
Starting point is 01:18:48 We will only do drafts on Tuesdays and Thursdays now. Oh, we won't do it. But it's now a thing. Tea Day. Yeah. Our drafts were mics. You drafted any mic. Coming in the last place with the lowest score ever in the history of the competition.
Starting point is 01:19:04 Oh, my gosh. Was Ramundo. Yeah. What up? Lowest score in the history. I thought my picks were fine. What do you want from me? He drafted Michael's Crabtree, St. Michael's Cathedral, and Mike the situation with 5% the lowest score ever.
Starting point is 01:19:19 Here he is. By the way, you've been eliminated from the next draft. All right. With Mike D, Michelangelo, and John Michael Montgomery, Eddie finished fourth. What? I'm shocked by that. Only 17%. Okay.
Starting point is 01:19:37 With 19% was lunchboxed with Michael. Jordan, Mike's Country Time Lemonade, that's not a thing. And Mc Jagger. So Lunchbox third. Coming in second is Morgan number two. Oh, wow. With Mike Fisher, Michael B. Jordan, and Mike
Starting point is 01:19:52 Wazowski. I didn't realize how strong a pick that was until I started seeing people talk about. I've never seen Monsters Inc. Mike Wazowski. Yeah. And then at number one, I got 30% of the vote. I won with Michael Scott from the office, Michael Phelps, and
Starting point is 01:20:06 dropping the mic. Wow. Thank you very much. I'm the big winner. Are you a two-time winner? I'm now a two-time champion. Not bad, but I'm. Tomorrow, we're going to draft Gas Station Snacks.
Starting point is 01:20:21 Your favorite gas station snacks. Wow. That's so hard. I mean, do we go, I guess I'm leading off, huh? Or are you? No, it's you. Do I go mustard pretzels first? Ooh.
Starting point is 01:20:34 Is that one you're missed? Yes, yes. Mike and I. That's better. Hey, listen, you guys can hate all you want. I got two wins, okay? Make all your little snide comments. I got two wins.
Starting point is 01:20:46 Do those mustard pretzels. It doesn't sound like we snack the same. Do I go with... I'm going to go to the gas station and check out their snacks. Me too. I'm like, one's the last time I bought a snack. Do I go with trail mix? That's better.
Starting point is 01:20:59 Ooh, with Eminem's in it, the chocolate. Oh, chocolate and chocolate. People that get trill mix without chocolate. By the way, nobody likes raisins in chocolate. mix. No, no, no, get them out of there. Like, they're just filler. You don't? I like raisins. If you mix it with a nut?
Starting point is 01:21:15 There's no reason to have to put something in just as a mixer. Only put the good stuff in. Oh, I don't want it alone. I like my trot mix, just chocolate. No trail. All M&Ms. Just chocolate. Just take a bag of me having them to write trill mix on it. I'd be like, this is the best trot mix ever. Tomorrow, gas station
Starting point is 01:21:31 snacks at this time, that will be our draft. First overall pick, do I go with Laffy Taffis? Oh, because you got Laffey. tap it. Shake that lappie tap it. Oh, I got the first pick tomorrow. And they give you jokes in a lappy tabby.
Starting point is 01:21:46 Okay, so there's that. You stressing over there? I'm just thinking about gas station snacks. Amy, you're back in it. Oh, thank goodness. It's rough sitting out. Because Ramundo lost, he's out of it. Right.
Starting point is 01:21:58 Or Ramondo, the worst score of all time. I think it kind of became a thing where people were just trying to make it the worst then. I don't know if my picks, and I had people tweet me, that they weren't that bad to warrant that kind of a score. Sure, I can take last, but 5%. Get out of here. Maybe I go with fungions. Funions.
Starting point is 01:22:17 Funions, I know. I'm not calling fungents, though, because we eat a lot of them. I'm like, what are you talking about? Yeah, man, I go with some fungions. That's what you call them when you're real close to them. Okay, boss. Can't wait. Get that first pick tomorrow.

I'm the host of Earsay, the Audible and I heart audiobook club.
Starting point is 01:25:03 This week on the podcast, I am sitting down with Ray Porter, the narrator of Andy Weir's audiobook Project Hail Mary, massive sci-fi adventure about survival and science, and what happens when you wake up alone very far from Earth? I really had to make a decision because I caught myself getting that frog in my throat and starting to get teary as I'm narrating some of these sections. And it's like, okay, yo, yeah, yo, is this indulgent?
Starting point is 01:25:29 And I really thought about it. I was like, no, at this point, it would kind of be betraying the trust the author and the listener have in telling this story if I don't go through it. But there's places in this book that deeply emotionally affected me, and I left it on the mic. That's great. Because it served the story. People will say like, oh, my God, I cried at the end. It's like, yeah, dude, me too. Listen to Eursay, the Audible and IHeart Audio Book Club on the IHeart Radio app or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 01:25:58 I'll read some text. Text number one. Get Ray Mundo on the air more. We try, but the guy's pushing all the buttons in there. He's running the show. Yeah, I agree to that. I'm down to do some more segments. All right, there you go.
Starting point is 01:26:17 Another person, like, all up on my hair today because you can watch the show and they're like, hey, if you're going to be on Facebook Live, at least comb your hair. I got to be honest with you. I don't comb my hair ever in my life. Unless I have to go to, like, a fancy event where it sends me and they fix my hair,
Starting point is 01:26:30 I don't fix my hair. It's true and you don't even put product in it. Nothing. Crazy. Yeah, so also we're on Facebook and YouTube and Twitter. We can watch the show live. We haven't really changed how we dress so much. I'm still wearing my hoodie.
Starting point is 01:26:47 Fix my hair. That's like your inmate hoodie. Oh, he does. People think I'm in the deer woods. They're like, hey, sweet deerwoods hoodie. Oh, okay. Leave me alone. It's an orange hoodie.
Starting point is 01:26:58 Appreciate all the message. You guys can text us to. text your message to 26229. That's our text number 26229, standard message and data rates apply. Servers are sharing things they'd like you to stop doing. So they say, waiters, what's something you would like customers to stop doing? And so on Reddit, all the servers said the following things. At number four, don't give us attitude when I have to say, hey, can I check your ID?
Starting point is 01:27:26 Yeah. Because we have to do it. Yeah. Number three Whistling or snapping At the waitstaff Like Hey can they check
Starting point is 01:27:36 Can they do that Ha That's what I do to my dog Ha Yeah They said Don't snap or whistle at me Also don't come in with a good girl
Starting point is 01:27:46 When I drop your order off at the table What? Pet him on the head Use your good baby Scratch under their chin When they drop off the drink You should good girl You're good boy
Starting point is 01:27:54 Number two Don't cheer or laugh when we drop plates or drinks. Oh. Like, it is rude. I would hate that, too. I wait a tables. Because you're so embarrassed.
Starting point is 01:28:04 I would be so embarrassed. And you'd always have, like, one idiot going, yeah. You're like, that, like, maybe some people didn't realize I dropped something. Everybody heard it, but maybe they don't know where. And then the number one thing is letting your kids wander away from the table when they get antsy. They're like, look, we're carrying sizzle platters, trays of cocktails, stacks of dishes. And when kids, and sometimes you can't even see them because they're thigh-high or knee high,
Starting point is 01:28:28 that they can hit you and knock stuff over. And they could get hurt, too. So those are the things that servers would like you to stop, or at least pay attention to what you're doing. Anything you'd like to say about that? Good to know. Yeah, no, the kid thing's real. Like sometimes Stevenson will just kind of wander off,
Starting point is 01:28:45 and I'm like, dude, you can't do that. What are you doing? He's also eight, nine years old. Yeah, but he's little. And yeah, I could see him totally getting in someone's way and knocking a whole tray over and being like, whoopsie. I dropped a whole tray on one person one time
Starting point is 01:28:58 That whole family sitting at the table Had a whole tray Drinks, food Big tray too Probably shouldn't have had it as full as I did But I'm known to Bite off more than I can chew In this instance I dropped the entire tray
Starting point is 01:29:11 On one man sitting at the table It was all over him I was humiliated I was like I'm so sorry Cleaned up cleaned up I was like I'm so sorry And at the end of the dinner He tipped me more
Starting point is 01:29:22 Maybe more than anybody He ever tipped me in my whole life Oh wow And wrote a note It was like, hey, I've been here before too. You're going to experience things like this the rest of your life. Like, do something nice and basically show grace to somebody else. Wow.
Starting point is 01:29:34 And I was like, and it still sits with me. It's been that long. That's awesome. The guy could have, he didn't demand a free meal. He didn't throw a fit. Nothing. And he actually tipped me way more and left a note. And I was like, holy cow.
Starting point is 01:29:45 That's crazy. It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good. So Marietta Public Schools superintendent, Grant Rivera, received a $10,000 bonus from the school district because he met overall
Starting point is 01:30:02 satisfactory performance. And so he gets this and he goes, you know what? I'm going to go ahead and donate it back. And he gave it to his students. He has pledged to cover the cost of fees for all seniors who are applying to admission into college. He said, hey, I don't want senioritis to prompt
Starting point is 01:30:16 a kid to miss out on any opportunities and I'm going to take my bonus and pay it forward and help them. Love it. Isn't that crazy? That's awesome. That is fantastic. And that is what it's all about right there. was tell me something good. An unknown songwriter named Steve Ronson
Starting point is 01:30:32 claims Lady Gaga stole the melody whenever she wrote Shallow for a Star is Born. Now here's shallow, here's a clever of that. He claims that Lady Gaga lifted a progression from his song, almost, which he did in 2013. He's asking for millions and millions of dollars in a settlement. I wish that was the official ask. How much? Lots.
Starting point is 01:31:03 How much do you want a buck? Crap load. Lady Gaga's people are calling this a brazen shakedown. Okay, here is one more time. Lady Gaga shallow. Here's a clip of shallow. Wait, is that shallow or not? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:31:29 That's shallow. Okay, got it. Okay. Now, here is Steve Ronson's almost there. It's just too little. Like, okay, there's three notes that are the same. So really, what he's suing over is... Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 01:31:53 Yeah. Now I've been sued. Consider yourself sued. Like that's it. It's just too little. Yeah. Do it again. Yes, it's the same, but it's too little.
Starting point is 01:32:00 Play shallow again, Remundo? I play it. Steve Ronson's almost there. Does that sound the same? Sure, but it's only three notes. There's no way I'm giving them money. Yeah. It's too little.
Starting point is 01:32:27 Unless it's like five, seven seconds and it's... Or even... Someone! It's the big hook part, maybe. Right, right, right. You got to... Stop it. The New York Post says that Ronson's song
Starting point is 01:32:38 had less than 300 streams on SoundCloud, when they published a story. And one of them was Gaga? Okay. Over and over. Right. Over and over going. There's just, there's no way.
Starting point is 01:32:45 It's too little. Now it's well over 6,000, which is not much still. Amy, what would you do? You've heard them? No, it's not the same. It is the same. Okay, sorry.
Starting point is 01:32:58 I don't think that she stole it from him. Yeah, and even if she did, it's too little. Right. I bet you could find those three notes together in 100 songs. When it gets to like 10 notes, maybe we're talking about something there. But I can't.
Starting point is 01:33:12 You know what, Lady Gaga, you have been freed, case dismissed. Yeah. And now he spent probably many on legal fees to do this. It is. It shallow is a jam, though. It comes on. It is. I hit it.
Starting point is 01:33:25 So Mike Posner's been walking across. He started in California, and he got bit by Rattlesnake in Colorado the day. Oh, boy. He was on 1,800 of almost 3,000 miles. Rattlesnake got him. He said on Instagram, I had just crushed 16 miles. in a day. I was going for eight more. When I got bit by a rattlesnake, that venom is no joke.
Starting point is 01:33:44 He said, hey, dude, doctor, said, you can't walk for a few weeks. Is he, like, taking roads or, like, the woods? I don't know. If it were me, I would try to walk straight line as much as possible. If you're not familiar with Mike Posner, here's one of his songs. To show of Fiji, I was cool. And when I finally got sober, felt 10 years older, but it was something to do. I'm living out in L.A.
Starting point is 01:34:07 I took a pill in Ibiza. Am I'm going with this one? Yeah. He came in with Jake going once. Very interesting. I spent some time with him at IHart Festival last year. Oh, yeah. Real nice guy.
Starting point is 01:34:19 He's like, I'm going to walk across America, man. I was like, cool. But then he's doing it to like, what's he promoting? Raymondo, do you remember what he's promoting? No, no, no, it's like a cause more than it. Like a song. No, it's like the whole thing is like to raise awareness for something. He's definitely got a song coming out.
Starting point is 01:34:34 All right, turn this up. Sad souls darling or sad souls sad souls sad souls I'm trying to talk to one in the air Can you guys all hear me?
Starting point is 01:34:57 Yeah like three times I was jamming out reading about why my Posner's walking around the world Can listeners hear me go Amy? Amy oh they couldn't? Yeah they could I feel like the song drowned
Starting point is 01:35:06 I couldn't honestly Like I was singing I took a pill and a visa What's that cause? The only thing is coming up right now is that he got bit by a rattlesnake Got bit by like every walking story I was reading about Mike Posner
Starting point is 01:35:20 who's walking all the way across America and apparently he had a bunch of people die like his best friend, his dad Avicchi and he's like hey we just need to be in the present so his mental health wasn't good and he's like hey this is a reminder to people sometimes you can just take a break
Starting point is 01:35:32 and do what kind of resets you I'd probably take a nap maybe not walk across America that's a lot but he's walking all the way across he got bit by a rattlesnake he's walking roads though Eddie for the most part
Starting point is 01:35:44 okay good yeah he's not just hiking There's a shortcut over here. Holly in Nashville, you are on the Bobby Bone show. Holly, thanks for calling on. What's going on? Hey, how are you all? Good. What's going on with you? I have a job interview today, and I was just wanting to get some encouragement, some good vibes from you guys that I'd call you.
Starting point is 01:36:04 What's you got? What's you got? Bobby, you're the one with all the advice for job interviews. Listen, you are where you are now for a reason. You got the interview. You have to be somewhat, you have to have to have. the experience necessary. What kind of job is it?
Starting point is 01:36:19 Teaching. Okay. And you've probably done the work leading up to this interview, right? Meaning 12 years. Yeah. So what kind of job is it? Like a teacher, but is it some kind of special promotion job that you're going for or what? No, I actually got out of teaching for a little bit.
Starting point is 01:36:34 I did a little bit of soul searching for the past three years and definitely enjoy teaching and definitely want to do the passion that I feel comfortable with. and I'm going to get back into it. And you're going to teach if you get this job or the next job or the next job or the next job. You're going to stay in it, right? True. That's it. This is what you do. You go into this interview today.
Starting point is 01:36:54 I'm just going to give you some advice. You go into this interview today and you say, I've been out for a while, but I haven't missed it so much because, and then you insert your personal story as to why you've missed it so much. And the effect that it's had on you and that you can have on the kids. And then you say, and, you know, I appreciate you consider me. and if I don't get this job and you have somebody else, that's okay. But I'm going to get a job eventually, and I'm going to teach the crap out of those kids and then just walk out of the room. So like that? Drop the mic.
Starting point is 01:37:21 Yeah, yeah, walk out of it. Just going to be honest and breathe before you go in. No job interview are you probable to get the job, right? Like, I'm just talking generally. Like, you don't go into an interview. Because most of the time, they have somebody in mind. Yeah, they're interviewing lots of people. They're interviewing lots of people.
Starting point is 01:37:41 So go in, there's no reason to be nervous. You have the experience. Take some deep breaths and say, hey, I'm going to teach with you or teach with someone else because I just love teaching so much. And they're going to see that passion to be like, all right, that's you. And then write a note and say, I wrote it and sign my name. I'd be like, Bobby told me to give you this note. Ooh, endorsed.
Starting point is 01:37:57 I will. That's true. It's not, just don't be nervous. It's easier to say than to do. But go in, you deserve to be there and know that. And if you don't get this one, you'll get one of the next ones you do. Sounds excellent. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:38:11 I mean, not the most inspiring. America's mentor. But very practical. I liked it. Like, I never got a job from interviews, first interviews. Never. Really? I always got jobs from interviewing, not getting it, and then thinking down the road.
Starting point is 01:38:24 You know who else would be good? That guy we didn't hire back in the day. And then that's how I got all my jobs. Yeah. Even this job, I wasn't first up. They wanted to hire some songwriter team. And they were like, well, I guess that's not going to work. Why don't we hire Bobby?
Starting point is 01:38:39 They were like, that's a terrible idea. Here we are, smash cut. Seven years later, rocking it. Holly, good luck. We're kidding, but you deserve to be in that room when you're being interviewed. Just do what you do. You're there for a reason, all right? I appreciate it.
Starting point is 01:38:53 I'm going to give you a gift card at Cracker Barrel. How about that? Sounds amazing. Thank you. Thank you for listening to our show. We want to give you a $50 gift card. Thanks to our friends at Cracker Barrel in honor of their 50th anniversary this year. And hopefully, the thought of chicken fried steak dancing in your head.
Starting point is 01:39:09 We'll get you that job. That's my favorite. How did you know? Well, it's my favorite. I didn't know. I just said my favorite. I'm going to get you this. Good luck today.
Starting point is 01:39:17 Call us tomorrow and let us know, okay? Thank you. I will. All right. Bye-bye. There she is. Holly in Nashville. The Bobby Bone Show is proud to be supported by Grand Canyon University,

I'm the host of Earsay, the Audible and I-Heart Audio Book Club. This week on the podcast, I am sitting down with Ray Porter, the narrator of Andy Weir's audiobook Project Hail Mary,
Starting point is 01:42:02 massive sci-fi adventure about survival and science. And what happens when you wake up alone very far from Earth? I really had to make a decision because I caught myself getting that frog in my throat and starting to get teary as I'm narrating some of these sections. And it's like, okay, yo, yeah, yo, is this indulgent? And I really thought about it. I was like, no, at this point, it would kind of be betraying the trust the author and the listener have in telling this story if I don't go through it. But there's places in this book that deeply emotionally affected me. and I left it on the mic.
Starting point is 01:42:36 That's great. Because it served the story. People will say like, oh my God, I cried at the end. It's like, yeah, dude, me too. Listen to EIRSA, the Audible and IHeart Audio Book Club. On the IHeart Radio app or wherever you get your podcasts. Played ACL Live. So I had a few thousand people there.
Starting point is 01:42:55 Great show. Like really just a fantastic show on Saturday night. And so what do we do when we finish singing all night and doing comedy? We decided to go to the karaoke bar and sing more. Like that wasn't enough. Yeah, but it's a fun place called Egos. And I was like, Eddie, we're going to go to Egos. Let's go.
Starting point is 01:43:11 So me, Eddie, a friend of Maud, we all go. We got all our people with us. And we go over to Egos. And we can't even get in the karaoke. It was so packed. Crazy. As soon as we went in, I signed my name up, and I was going to try a new karaoke song because I've been chasing a new karaoke song.
Starting point is 01:43:23 And I never got up. And it was almost 2 in the morning that started to turn the lights on. We walk outside, and they call my name once I'm outside, finally, when the lights were on. So they were like, Bobby, they called your name. At this point, I was gone. But the song I was going to try. And I don't have words. I think I know it enough.
Starting point is 01:43:39 You want to hit me with it, Ramoondo? I was going to try this one. That's what I'm talking about. I was going to see if I could pull up Chattahoochee and be my go-to. All right, crank it out. Yih-ha! Amen, he was pumped. He didn't even tell me he was going to do this.
Starting point is 01:43:51 Yeah, here we go. Any words up here. Way don't yonder on a Chattahoochee. It gets hotter than a hoochie. We laid a rubber on a Georgia asphalt. We got a little crazy, but we never got caught. Down by the river on. I can do this one, right?
Starting point is 01:44:09 Go on, keep going. Keep going. You never knew how much that mudlite. But I learned how to swim and I learned who it was. A lot about living and a little about love. And I can like walk around because I know all the words. Like get the crowd into it. Give people high fives and stuff.
Starting point is 01:44:35 Get them on the head. Knocked their caps off. That's what I was going to do. I mean, it's good. Then I'd be like, well, I fogged up the windows of my old Chevy. I was willing, but she wasn't ready. So I settled for a burger and a grave snow cone. I dropped her off early, but I didn't go home.
Starting point is 01:44:56 Wow. I thought that was Eddie. Oh, good harmonies right there. I thought it was Eddie. Anyway, that was I was going to do. We go out, and I never got to do it. It was okay. We go out and we get scooters, and Eddie's never been on a scooter before.
Starting point is 01:45:09 Never. So we got the app and we showed them how to get on scooters. Tell them how fun it was. It was a blast. I don't want to walk city streets ever again. I don't know. I walk anywhere. Hallway, home in my house.
Starting point is 01:45:19 Yeah, I'm going back. You want a scooter? Yeah. It's pretty awesome, Amy. So like two in the morning, later than that, we're scootering all through downtown. And it was a great time. Yeah. We're rolling and this girl's ID is laying in the parking lot of a gas station.
Starting point is 01:45:35 I'm like, all right. I look at it. I'm like, what do I do? first before I posted it I searched for her on Instagram because why post it if you can search for her in direct messenger right she had a weird name couldn't find her they were like and she had a very common name there were like a hundred of her name so I wasn't going to spend all night going through that
Starting point is 01:45:54 so I took a picture of it and I blocked out her address driver's license number I just had her name up there and I said if anyone knows who this girl is or if you're looking at this I have your ID it was a Georgia ID in Texas well then my people on Instagram start messaging me going, hey, just put it in the mail, mail it to her. And I'm like, I could do that and I might do that. Oh, yeah. But she may need to fly home.
Starting point is 01:46:15 That was the entire reason I was trying to get it to her, like that day or the next day. Because if you have to go to the airport, you need your ID. Right. So she finally hit, I get a lot of messages and I didn't see hers come in. And so she hit a couple of my friends. And they were like, hey, if you can get over to Bobby. Eddie, she get you? She did get me.
Starting point is 01:46:34 Amad's the one who got me. And he goes, hey, this girl messaged me and said, you have her idea. So I had it. And she was like, hey, could you please take that off your Insta story? And I was like, well, what's up? She goes, I'm getting harassed by all your people for losing my ID. They were DM in her, Amy. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 01:46:48 They have found her or DM in her. And so I did. I took it down. And then I took it at my place in Austin. I just put an envelope and left it at the front desk. And I was like, hey, this is her. I mean, I assume she got it. I never met her.
Starting point is 01:46:59 But I assume she got it because I had to get on an airplane and fly back. That's so awesome that that worked. I mean, yes, I mean, sucks when she loses it. But you found it. You put it on Instagram. she was found. She gets her ID back. Love that.
Starting point is 01:47:11 Yeah, it was good. We had a really good time. And Amy came to our Raging Idiot Show, which is, it's, you know, we come out and do a little opening number like a musical. And then I do stand up for a bit.
Starting point is 01:47:22 Yeah. And then we play our two-man funny songs. A lot of new songs, too. And so you didn't quite know what you were getting yourself into. Not at all. I had never been to a show with this format.
Starting point is 01:47:30 And I was so impressed. Like, it was so good. Like, the pace was great. The energy was there. stuff was really funny and it just kind of flowed like before you knew it the night was over which you know that's good you don't want people to ever be sitting there and being like okay when is this going to end yeah that was not the case it was like oh wow this is over i can't even believe it like it just was amazing like i was so proud of y'all like i left there proud like i was like those are my
Starting point is 01:47:58 people i can't believe this this is awesome and not that i don't expect cool amazing things from y'all But when you're around some people a lot, you just, you know, I get to see how awesome y'all are. And this, like, this is up a level. Like, this is, y'all is, like, taking it up. You know, like, y'all are already great and now you're here. Thank you. So. And Eva, she wouldn't stop telling me this.
Starting point is 01:48:19 And I'm like, did you think we were just going to be, like, garbage? Yeah. It's like what I find out. It's like what someone goes, hey, have you lost weight? And you're like, what was I fat before? Right. That's kind of what I felt like. But I'm glad you were there.
Starting point is 01:48:30 And Amy and her husband came. Yeah. And our friends, Kevin and Michelle. It was good. And we all were laughing and clapping. Like, we were just out in the crowd. We were just part of, with the people, enjoying it. We were fans.
Starting point is 01:48:43 We left the Raging Idiots fan club. That was us. That's awesome. Thanks, Amy. We'll be in Amarillo in El Paso this week if you want to come, Raging Idiots.com. We didn't tell anybody to say that. No, we didn't.
Starting point is 01:48:53 And she's not the only one that said that, like, to me that night. They were surprised it was. Maybe there's something to them. Well, so would you think my stand-up was funny? Yes. Funnier than you thought it would be? And also here's the thing with that. Funnier than you thought it would be?
Starting point is 01:49:05 Yes. I'm kind of insulted. Amy, you didn't expect it to be funny at all. I'm finding the insult in this. But I've been listening to you tell jokes for 13 years, right? But it's a different. This job and that they're two different. There's nothing in common.
Starting point is 01:49:19 I know it's two different things. I get it. But the whole, I like how it's a mixture of the comedy and the singing. And yes. And y'all are, yeah, y'all are just good. Like, y'all have a good flow together, good energy, good vibe. Like, y'all bounce off of each other really well. I mean...
Starting point is 01:49:38 That was the gymnastics part of the show, right? And I literally bounce off each of the chrappies and stuff. No, I mean, I just, I don't know. I can't reiterate it enough. Like, I was impressed. Well, thank you. You're welcome. And that's a compliment.
Starting point is 01:49:50 You don't need to be insulted by it. I was, but no, no, I'm not insulted. It's just his next level. Like, that could be like on Broadway or something. It's almost like when he says, like, you know, you tell a morning corny joke and you're like, That was actually good. It's kind of like that.
Starting point is 01:50:04 Right, exactly. And now you get mad at me. And I say, and then I say to you, I tell funny jokes every day. And you're like, ooh. Okay. Okay, we all understand each other. Here's a, we have this one song that we do called You Can't Say That in a Country Song, which is all things you can't.
Starting point is 01:50:17 I'm not going to play the whole song. I'm just going to play one joke. This is the first part of you can't say that in a country song. So we want to write this next song in a country song. And it goes like this. I'm going to sell my truck. We're going to leave it right there. That sounds fun.
Starting point is 01:50:41 Thank you very much. Was that from Austin, the audio? Or is that from something else? That was an Austin show, right? Yeah. Okay. It's a crowd shot. I don't know if I could hear myself laughing because I laughed.
Starting point is 01:50:49 All right. Thank you. I mean, oh, that's the other thing. She's so shocked. No, no, no. The other thing I was going to say, and I got sidetracked earlier, is that, you know, because it's a comedy show, you keep things on lockdown. Like, there's things you don't share with me that are.
Starting point is 01:51:06 So it was all, it was new to me. Maybe that's why I'm so. more surprised or impressed because it was like new and some of the jokes and some of the stuff is so creative and funny and how'd they come up with that? And then some stuff I was like, that's good. I'm going to implement that in my own life. Like it was all kinds of things.
Starting point is 01:51:23 Like a TED talk you went to it. It's a different show than we were at. That would be a really fun TED talk if we did it that way. Well, thank you. Good job, guys. We'll move away. Did you see the guy whose lung collapsed to karaoke? I was going to bring that up. No, you didn't ever told us why. Yeah. He sang like 10 songs in a row. Oh, you can't do that.
Starting point is 01:51:41 You gotta take a break. Especially. A man who belted at 10 high-pitched karaoke songs in a row was admitted to the hospital with a collapsed lung. He said, I was very excited in the heat of the moment after singing a few songs with very high notes. I found myself having breathing difficulties. This one girl at karaoke got up and did Adele,
Starting point is 01:51:57 and I was like, never sing Adele at karaoke. I was already like, you can't sing like Adele, don't sing Adele. And she got up and we're like, okay, here we go. She's going to, and she was like, angelic. Amy, she was so good. It was so good. And the whole room was like, what? And then everybody started singing with her.
Starting point is 01:52:14 It was pretty cool. Do you remember the song she was doing? Yeah. It's a slow sad one. I don't know, no, sound just like you. Which is all of them. Oh, yeah. I have been there to see for you.
Starting point is 01:52:27 Yeah. And all the words are up. So even if you don't know, you just look at it and sing. What is that song called? Hold on. Someone like, someone like, no. Someone like you. No, no.
Starting point is 01:52:38 That's what's called? Is it? Amy, keep telling no, no, no, no. No, because now I'm thinking, someone like you, oh, oh. And that's like, yeah, different artists.
Starting point is 01:52:47 So what did this guy sing, Bones? Did they say anything? No, not Chattahoochee. This mom is slammed after demanding 80 bucks from guests to attend her son's birthday party. You saw the story?
Starting point is 01:53:03 I did. I mean, it included everything from, like, the fee to, like, there was go-cart riding. So there's a fee, if you wanted to. do that. So it wasn't like, hey, come to the party. We've got it covered. This is what it's going to cost you. And then it was sort of a drive to get to the go-car place. So it's almost like
Starting point is 01:53:17 she was charging transportation and gas money to get there and then like food and stuff. So it was like it turned out to be like $82, I think, if you wanted to attend this birthday party. Oh, and she even put on there too, like if you wanted to do gifts, like Amazon gift cards were preferred. Yeah, they are. I'll be honest with you. They are. I'm awesome. So wait, what is your thought? I mean, I just wouldn't, I mean, I don't know. That's really expensive to ask kids to come to your birthday party. And there's going to be some kids that maybe they can't afford that. So some kids can come.
Starting point is 01:53:50 Some kids are like, oh, man, well, that's a bummer. I want to hang out with my friends, but I can't afford that kind of a party. So I don't know. I just feel like as parents try to do something where you can have everybody over to the house and celebrate your kid and it doesn't cost as much money or something. Because that way everybody can feel involved and be invited. And everybody from the class was invited. So, you know, there was.
Starting point is 01:54:10 At least everybody got invited. Yeah. It was nice for to put the invite out to everybody. But, I mean, I don't know. As a new parent, like birthday parties are new to me. I've only celebrated two with both of my kids. And they're older to the part where, yeah, you throw them parties. And I just couldn't imagine having a party where I had to charge the guests.
Starting point is 01:54:27 I think the internet's being a little too rough on her. I don't mind her doing this. It's her right to do whatever she wants for a kid and people's right not to come. You know, so if she's like, I want to have this party, this is what it costs. And you don't want to go. You don't have to go. Like, it isn't like school. where it's like, hey, this is a field trip
Starting point is 01:54:42 that everybody needs to go on. Because that used to happen and I couldn't afford it. If that were the case, it would be different. I just think the internet sometimes jumps on people for, just mind your own business. First of all, what about your own problems? Mind your own business.
Starting point is 01:54:55 Listen, I wouldn't do this. But if a mom wants to have a party and charge people, it's like a wedding and going, hey, we have these rules on our wedding. That's it's your wedding. You get to say the rules, and if people don't want to come, they don't have to come. We need to stop getting butt hurt over everything.
Starting point is 01:55:10 Yeah. Not just you here. Oh, I just was commenting on the article. I didn't, like, reach, I didn't say anything about her online. Like, I have no thoughts for her. No, no, I know. Amy's in the comments. No, I was just, at Radio Amy, just giving her the business on her Instagram.
Starting point is 01:55:24 No, I'm not going to waste our energy on that. But yeah, I just think as parents you have a, I don't know. If you, if you, if you, I get what you're saying. I'm with you on that. I wouldn't have this kind of party and it stinks for kids who couldn't afford it because I was a kid who couldn't afford it. Right. However, this isn't, you know, communist America where everybody gets the same thing.
Starting point is 01:55:42 No, birthday parties. And if you want to go, great. If you can't afford it, that stinks. It's not a party I would throw or go to. But let's stop beating people up. She didn't do anything illegal. Man, you put anything up on the internet. People jump all down your throat.
Starting point is 01:55:56 Like, get your life lined up before you start talking about other people's lives. Miley and Liam broke up. That was the big buzz on the internet this weekend. Speaking of Instagram, I saw, what's the guy's name, Brody Jenner? Brody Jenner. Yeah, what's up with that?
Starting point is 01:56:09 I ended up in this like a rabbit hole going through Brodies and then Miley's and trying to figure out why what's the deal? Well, so Miley broke up with Liam. Yeah. And the girl that Miley was with and like smooching on was Brody's ex. Is it now like Brody's ex? So the two girls were together and he's like, expect to picture me and Liam together soon, like the two dudes. Okay, now it's all coming together. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:56:31 Was Miley and Liam were they married? Yes. Well, they just got married like eight months ago or 10 months ago or something. They've been together 10 years, married. months. So remember in Nashville they had to, and now that they announced they were broken up in my leave was all it smooching on a girl. Oh, I thought they were
Starting point is 01:56:47 just hanging out. That's pretty cool. Yeah. Oh, I didn't see that. I'm pretty sure. I'm pretty sure. I'm not pretty sure. Probably imagined it. No, no, I'm going to be honest. I'm very sure. I'm very sure. No, I'm very sure. Oh, okay. This pregnant woman was busted for shoplifting from a grocery store in Wisconsin. And so, as soon
Starting point is 01:57:07 as they were like, hey, you're going to rest. She went into labor. Oh, no. She went to the hospital to have the baby, and police then mailed her the citation for theft. Oh. She tried to leave the store with $255 in groceries without paying for them. They confronted her.
Starting point is 01:57:23 They put her into custody, and then they were like, uh-oh, they had to run her to the bathroom real quick because she began to go on to labor. When did she had like a rip cord? I'm in trouble. Here comes the baby. How about that? Police say the one was taken to the local hospital after that, so she could deliver the child.
Starting point is 01:57:40 And they just hit her with that male citation. I had a buddy once who got, he wasn't even shoplifting. We were at the mall, and J.C. Penny was having a sidewalk sale. And he just looked at the shirt, and he took the shirt and was like showing his friend something. He walked over to us like 20 feet away. He was like, what do you think of this shirt? They were like, you're shoplifting. Whoa.
Starting point is 01:57:59 And he's like, whoa, whoa, whoa. No, I'm not. He was like, I'm just showing them this shirt. He wasn't shoplifting. I was with him. And they were like, come with us. And then they took him in the back. And he was so upset.
Starting point is 01:58:09 He would only tell them his name was Elvis Presley. Oh, yeah. He was like, what are they going to do? Put me in jail? I didn't shoplift anything. And they came out and they were like, we can't let your buddy go. I was like, why? Because he keeps saying to his name is Elvis Presley.
Starting point is 01:58:20 Do you want to tell us his real name? I was like, nope. I sure don't. And they never chart nothing. He just held that his name was Elvis Presley, and they never got him for anything. And he didn't steal, though. All right, that's the deal.
Starting point is 01:58:33 Amy, what's going on today? I've got to work here a little bit, and then I have an appointment, and then I pick my kids up from school. one and then with them the rest of the day. Eddie and I have a photo shoot today. We are doing a raging idiots photo shoot, which make sure your clothes are pressed.
Starting point is 01:58:49 They are, and I even did sit-ups last night. Oh. We're not shirtless. I know, just so I can fit, you know. Do you do, does it help if you do, like, push-ups right before? Like, you know, like, you hear Eminem, like, work out or do, like, 100 push-ups for a show. Like, does that help?
Starting point is 01:59:02 Yes. Your, yes, your muscles are a little worked. I might do that before I head of the photo shoot then. But we're in clothes. I know what you just don't want to look good, right? I think we're beyond that. Oh, and we're under sweaters and everything. And also, I think we're beyond that.
Starting point is 01:59:16 Okay, okay. I don't think that's... But, yeah, we have a photo shoot. Like a three-hour photo shoot. Oh, wow. Well, a long time. It's a lot of pictures. We don't even do three hours for the whole show.
Starting point is 01:59:26 It's not all me and you. I have some myself. It's like a 300 different poses. I'm not a big photo shoot guy. I got a... What do you need new picks for? I told it, Raging Idiots Tour stuff. And they're putting him on the cover of,
Starting point is 01:59:39 magazine and they have to have a picture that I just give to them. So we're shooting that today too. You're so good at photo shoots though? It's only because I'm ready to get out of there. I'm like, all right, here are my 11 poses. It's a camera ready. And then goodbye.
Starting point is 01:59:54 Thank you guys for hanging out. We'll see tomorrow. You can go over and follow the show at Bobby Bone Show. At Bobby Bone Show. Thank you. Have a great day. We'll see you on Tuesday. Bye everybody.
