Starting point is 00:02:57 You guys have come in. on, but why not? Hey, why not? Have a seat, man. Have a seat. Come on in. Rod, you can, put the mic on. Yeah, sit over there. Sit in the chair. I don't know, really. That's the only chair available. Yeah, sit over there. Our head of our entire format, Rod Phillips is going to sit in on the post show pre-show, which, by the way, I was looking at what the power players. I don't even see any of the rankings other than number
Starting point is 00:03:21 one. Guess who was number one power player? Rod is? Rod Phillips. Bobby bones. No, that is not true. Nice, dude. Number one right there. Awesome. Look at this guy. Power player. How does that make you feel?
Starting point is 00:03:33 I don't know. It's, I mean, it's good. I heart's big, man. You get it because it's I heart. I heart just big. It's bulk. You will take no credit for yourself? You know, I think we've done some good stuff here since launching the Bobby Bone show in 2017, 2013.
Starting point is 00:03:49 Yes. And again, without you, we don't be here. I'm a professional broadcaster. We don't be here. possibly Probably Yeah And I would also say
Starting point is 00:04:01 Without me You may not don't be here That's a good point That's a yes agreed Which one's a better point Well here's This is how the shaking And the egg
Starting point is 00:04:11 With us He was a big part of Us moving here Of me moving here Yeah And we used to have Conversations all the time Back when I was in Austin
Starting point is 00:04:18 We'd like I want to do country And he said I want you to do country And we would just talk about And it was kind of a pipe dream Until it came up in a meeting And then all of a sudden
Starting point is 00:04:25 The Will And he tricked me into coming here when they blindly said you're moving to Nashville. That's true. That's very true. You had pink hair and everything. For breast cancer. Yes, correct.
Starting point is 00:04:35 But he had pink hair. He made his debut into Nashville with pink hair. Hey, IDGAF. You do it again, dude. IDGAF. He doesn't, I don't give up. Yeah, yeah. And then, as he was still, what was your job at the time?
Starting point is 00:04:50 It was an SVP of like a region. So I was over programming for the Southeast region for IHeart. So many stations. All formats. All formats. SVP is senior VP? Senior vice president of programming for the southeast, which just means you get to oversee a bunch of programming.
Starting point is 00:05:06 News talk, CHR, sports, all late. And our guy that was heading country was out, and a lot of people wanted eroticly to myself, and I went to our CEO and was like, this is my guy. If you want me to be here and you want me to thrive and you're going to invest all of this in me and our show, I need somebody and then, lo and behold, I wasn't the only factor, obviously, but here he is.
Starting point is 00:05:30 Big factor. Next thing you know, number one, there it is. Power player. Power player number one. Wow. Look at this guy. What were you coming here to do, actually? Because you weren't coming here to be a guest on this.
Starting point is 00:05:40 No, we've got to make sure everybody goes to the CMA award-winning morning show stuff. What's that? I can't go to the dinner. I heard you can't go. So what I said was could someone else go? So we got confirmations from Eddie and lunch. Great. Now we need Amy Brown.
Starting point is 00:05:57 Because it's on the... It's on Monday. When is? Yeah, it's Monday night. Yeah, I can't go. But when am I ever here? We figured. You're never here.
Starting point is 00:06:07 Amy, you're not coming? Amy, you want to confirm now? This is the first I've been confronted about it. So, like, we're not talking about it. We were told you said no. There's an... Just two seconds ago in the hall. So this is not the first you've been confronted about it.
Starting point is 00:06:21 Two seconds ago. Two seconds ago. She said no in the hallway. I meant this morning. So then they asked me to get a yes. Because you're a power player. That's right. They have to call the power player.
Starting point is 00:06:32 Where's that number one guy? This five-minute window is the first that I've been in a discussion about it. So you're in? You're good? So you're good? Just check your schedule. I'll cover you here. Check your schedule.
Starting point is 00:06:42 Let us know later this afternoon. Nobody's, yeah. I mean, Mondays are busy for sure. Yeah. You got to watch Monday night football. Because I know that this might. You act like I have not. children, no dad, no other things that I have going on to do. And then
Starting point is 00:06:59 leaving, I'm leaving town all day Tuesday to go to St. Jude. I'm going to be gone all day. Like, yes, and I get Eddie is too and he has children and a wife where there's a lot going on. I have no idea if my husband's in town that night. I know. Let's give her some room to say no. No, I don't know if I'm saying no, but I don't even know if my husband's in town. I can't just on the cuff say. the more you talk, the more we don't, we just can move on. You can handle this.
Starting point is 00:07:29 You can handle it later on. I'll say this about Rod. He did offer to go to San Diego. I had to go to San Diego for 45 minutes. I had to fly five hours up and then like nine back all in the course of 40 hours. He did offer to. So let's not act like he's too big for his britches. He did go, I'll go with you to San Diego and just fly and sit there.
Starting point is 00:07:50 Just for support? Because I was whining about it. Thank goodness, he said, no, I'm good. I was like, there's no need. Misery loves company except for me. Even Mike D, I could have made Mike D go. And I was like, you know what, I'm going to be fine without you. You got to stay here, get your rest.
Starting point is 00:08:06 I go. And then we're heading to Chicago today, which will be fun. Tomorrow I will be on Windy City Live. Yeah, that'll be good. Do we know what I'm doing on Windy City Live in Chicago yet? Talking about the Bobby Bones Empire. I don't like that. That word?
Starting point is 00:08:24 I don't know about Empire. Talking about Big 955. Yeah. We'll take that. Yeah, we'll do that. Probably talking about American Idol. Yeah, we'll do that. It's ABC.
Starting point is 00:08:31 Yeah, that's good. Okay, cool. Anything you want to mention? We've got to go to the airport, and he was just in here. Anything you want to talk about? What would you like to bring up with us? Have you heard anything you liked on the show recently? That I liked.
Starting point is 00:08:42 Yeah. Yeah, I was listening to, I was actually listening to the show via Colorado Springs. K-C-C-Y. But now I don't, I liked it, and I'm trying to think of why. Like it was a really good bit, but now I've seen Miranda and old Dominion and talk to the managers, but my brain's fried. What's been really working well for us recently has been our draft segment, twice a week we do a draft. It's been a odd. He's been my 13-year-old son.
Starting point is 00:09:10 He's like, well, why do they direct? Because he thinks it's the draft, right? He thinks it's like something to do with the NFL. So it explained it to him now, so he's totally in. So it's like where it came from was fantasy football and everybody was getting dialed, and I was like, well, we should. I don't even know the first one we did. And now we're going to play the... Do you say the championship belt in my office?
Starting point is 00:09:29 I did. That's pretty legit for the winner. It's kind of heavy. Yeah, it is heavy. And they get to keep it until there's another champion. And everybody wants it. I mean, it's probably still plastic, but it's like a heavy... It's a heavy plastic.
Starting point is 00:09:39 Can you go get that championship belt for him? No, it's not light. No, I agree, but it's like... It's not plastic. It costs like $400. Everything's made out of plastic. Yeah. It did?
Starting point is 00:09:49 Because I had to get it made and... Wow. Yeah. Now I really want it. I can't pawn that sucker. Can you imagine? I was listening to this, let me make a couple podcast observations.
Starting point is 00:10:02 First of all, here's the belt. Mike did you have to carry on the shoulder because it's so heavy. No, I've seen it. It's nice. No, but hold it. I get it. Tell me that's plastic. Doesn't sound plastic.
Starting point is 00:10:14 I think it's plastic. It's a heavy, like, heavy duty plastic, but I think that's plastic. I get reimbursed in the company? No, no. Was your decision to spend 400? Yeah, because I want the show to have...
Starting point is 00:10:25 400 bones on this thing. I want the show to have the tools to be successful. It's nice, though. Is that rubbed out or is that... No, it's been weathered from all the fights. Oh, okay. Got it. All the championships.
Starting point is 00:10:37 Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's nice. A couple podcasts that I listen to. First of all, I'll bring up the... There's one called Business Wars. Anybody have listened to that one? No. I bring it up because just the wrestling and the belts.
Starting point is 00:10:47 At one point, whenever... I believe it was... Oh, is it Toys R.S.? No, no. Well, all these business match off against the other. with WCW. One of the champions left and went to the other Federation and kept the belt and took the Rick Flair.
Starting point is 00:11:02 He went to the WWU with the WCW belt and they were so pissed. That's awesome. It was funny. It was about how those businesses were fighting each other. That's a good podcast because a lot of businesses they talk about Nintendo versus whatever, Facebook versus Snapchat,
Starting point is 00:11:16 and it's Nike versus Adidas. It's a fantastic podcast, not on my network. But obviously, and I'll listen to the office ladies, the episode about the office. Oh, yeah. Where the two actresses, actors from the office, it's okay. It's going to be really good.
Starting point is 00:11:32 But you can tell they've never done a podcast or any sort of talking in a mic before. Because they're so like, oh my God! It's just a turn it down about 17%. They're going to be really good. And it was the first episode. If you go listen to my first podcast, even from the one I do from my house,
Starting point is 00:11:48 it's not good. But I like what it's going to be. It's just right now it's a little too high-pitched. They're just way excited the whole time. So, but those are my two. I give the business wars one, three point five iPhones out of five. And I give the office potential for five out of five.
Starting point is 00:12:07 But right now I'll also give it three point five out of five pocket protectors. Right, nice. There it is. I haven't heard it, but three point five sounds high if it's like shrill. Yeah. Yeah, it's really.
Starting point is 00:12:17 For where it is right now, it's a three point five? Because what they talk about is so good and they have such detailed inside information in the office. and I really like both of them. Yeah. They're just a little too excited for an hour. You can be excited for like three minutes.
Starting point is 00:12:31 Let's take you down a little bit. But what do I know? Yeah, that's why I tell lunchbox all the time in our podcast. What you say? He says, hey, tone it down a little bit. Stop yelling at him. No, Eddie wants it to... Eddie doesn't want it to be as long as it is.
Starting point is 00:12:44 This is true. Amy, what does he say every day? He's like, every day. Lunchbox is ready to go and wants to do like a full hour. And he's like, we don't need to do an hour. Why are we doing an hour? We just need to do, how long was it? 10, 20 minutes.
Starting point is 00:12:54 20 minutes. Eddie just wants to do 20 minutes. You could do about 42. I like that. That's kind of the breaking point. I'm like, y'all's the whole intro is like a minute. We've got like this music and they say these things about themselves. But I think it's super cute.
Starting point is 00:13:06 But then your content gets, I mean. Yeah. It's just every day. Every day an hour we're just like, ooh, man, we're talking about one game for a whole hour. Like, let's just wrap it up. Let everyone go home. You know what I mean? Not ask you.
Starting point is 00:13:19 And you wonder. Listen, after the listeners go home. Why don't you ask Bobby? Like, hey, what do you think? Do you think we should be doing an hour? Should we do 45 minutes? Yeah, and 40, he said 40? No, 42 is about the point where people feel like they're getting enough of a podcast that it's actually a sit-down.
Starting point is 00:13:34 Yeah. But not one game, right? No. I mean, there's some days where there are no games and we're just drambling. No, literally, Eddie says every day, dude, let's try to keep it to 20 minutes today because I just want to get out of here. And, I mean, it drives me up a wall. I never say that. But that's basically what you're saying.
Starting point is 00:13:47 I don't believe either one of them when they get these fights because they both. Amy just said it. He said it. Amy told you brought the evidence. I didn't bring it up. Amy didn't say he says because I want to get out of here. I never say that. And I don't even remember the exact time. I just know that Eddie was not wanting to do an hour.
Starting point is 00:14:02 Well, if you want to hear this, it's called The Soar Losers. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. With Ramundo, Eddie, and Lunchbox. All right. I think that's it. This is the post-show, pre-show. You can now check out the show. By the way, I thank you for your note on the Target song.
Starting point is 00:14:16 You like that song? Really good. You should hear them. Like genuinely entertaining. I was sitting on my couch. I think I laughed. I actually laughed. You're LOL-Led?
Starting point is 00:14:24 Out loud. The new Raging Idiot song. Do you know? It's really good. The guy I wrote that with the same guy that wrote the Hootie and the Blobidge song. This is out now. The single? Uh-huh.
Starting point is 00:14:31 Oh. And Red Solo Cup. Who is it? Who is it? Jim Beaver's. Okay. I was talking to Jim because I played, I did stand up at the operand that one song. It's on my Instagram, Mr. Bobby Bones.
Starting point is 00:14:41 And the Hootie song had just come out that day and I was like, hey, man, that song is, that's going to be big. It's really good. It's really good. And he's like, but what about it being Hootie and the Blowfish on Country? I said, well, I love Hootie and the Blowfish, but it's a Darius Rucker country song. Yeah. So it's the same, it'd be the same thing if it were Darius putting it out. All the Hootie and Blowfish hits from the 90s would be country songs today.
Starting point is 00:15:03 All of them. And so, yeah, he came out and played it. And thanks, appreciate that. We're going to have, Eddie and I'll have that out on our live record. Who gets credit for the really funny lines, though? I mean, do you want to separate that out of it? I mean, you really don't do that? Don't do that.
Starting point is 00:15:16 It's a team effort. Sometimes somebody will say something that's fair. that's funny that makes the funny line. Yeah. Yeah. Funny creates funny, for sure. So it's kind of weird to credit. But to be fair, we do ask sometimes somewhere.
Starting point is 00:15:28 It's like, who came up with that line? Yeah, I try to get it from people, for sure. Yeah. But on the funny stuff, and also what happens, too, is we can go out and play stuff live and I'll record each show and see where people laugh. And then I go, all right, we've got to punch this lineup. We can change songs based on jokes instead of just being songs. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:44 The timing on that one was unbelievable. You have no idea where you're going with. Target, and then what you wore. It's cool to see the crowd react to that, because you're right, the first verse, they're just like, why? Where are you going? Why are you saying this?
Starting point is 00:15:57 Oh, got it. All right, we're done. And then it stays funny. I don't have to stay on the song. Like, it stays funny. It's hard to be funny and hit a high. Can we get an I-heart world premiere every hour? Every hour?
Starting point is 00:16:10 During 5 to 10 a.m. Now we're negotiating. Five to 10 a.m.? Oh, yeah. No, not just during our show. On all the morning shows? Yeah. Hard to make them.
Starting point is 00:16:18 play it. Let me think about that, though. You make everybody play a lot of songs. Yeah. That's a relevant. I mean, it's a relevant question. You should ask. Why then just five to ten, though? I don't know. I mean, I would go for 24, but you said no, so my next step was... How long is it? Two minutes? Like short, man. It's like two, two ten, something like that. We should figure it out, yeah. I don't like what we are right now in this negotiation. That's how I do it, though, because you won't give me 24 hours, but will you give me six to ten? Once an hour, six to ten on all You just took off 5 a.m. Like, that's going to matter.
Starting point is 00:16:50 You ask for 5 to 10, now you want to 6. Well, the 5A doesn't matter. I mean, 10 people are awake to hear it. 6 to 10. Yeah. We'll talk about it on the plane ride to Chicago. But you always get out of this. No, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:17:03 I think there's a way to do it. I don't know that that's the way to do it. But do we want to say why on this show? I mean, it's... People won't play it unless you make them. There are some shows who will see that as... They're not hating. They're seeing that as a competitive.
Starting point is 00:17:18 morning show. I'm not competitive. We're all friends, man. Sort of, though. I'm not trying to compete with them. Just play the music. It's funny. Yeah. Can you go into their offices and say what you said here? Like, man, it's funny. And then it gets fun of the best songs I've ever heard. Can you do radio tour for us? I couldn't go into their offices, no. But.
Starting point is 00:17:36 Okay, how about this? It's really good. Three times. How about three guaranteed plays between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. Why are you talking? Oh, 6.8.7B. Three guaranteed plays between 6A and 7P on all IHeart stations. Yeah, I think that makes more sense. And honestly, I think it's a better bit in afternoon drive. I really do.
Starting point is 00:18:00 Three plays between 6A and 7P. Well, first of all, it can't be a world premiere. It's already out. It's not out yet. It's like Stapleton when he puts live songs up. It got leaked. It's an iPhone video on my Instagram. Well, that means it's out.
Starting point is 00:18:16 I mean you have a million followers. Luke's song that's coming out is already out. Luke Bryant? Yeah. No, it's not. On the internet? Where? It doesn't count.
Starting point is 00:18:24 On the World Wide Web? On the WWW. It's not out. Yeah. It better not be out. A lot of the stuff's like... Now I got something else I've got to go do. Is it out?
Starting point is 00:18:33 We're not talking about that right now. It's not out. Three plays between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. Can we get a confirmation? Well, we can't get confirmation, but I think we can do it. We just got to figure out what the package is around that. What do you mean? What do you mean?
Starting point is 00:18:47 There's a funny song. Country music needs a funny song. We haven't had it in a long time, and this was funny. Yeah. Now you realize in this context, now I have to listen to it again. I'll send you the master track today. Yeah, that'd be good. All right.
Starting point is 00:19:01 Boom. All in was one, we got three. That's how to negotiate. That was a good job. Thank you very much. I've been lecturing lunchbox on how to negotiate because he comes in going, I do it or I quit. I'm like, no, no, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:19:12 Here's how we do it. That's right. You always ask for more than you want. Do it or I don't quit. All right. All right, here's today's show. This is a Wednesday show. Appreciate you guys.

Starting point is 00:23:29 Yeah. What role will you be playing? An extra. Oh. Okay. Okay. So only bummer is it's on the day that we also, I have a work event here that I'm hosting for Veterans Day. so obviously you need to be at that.
Starting point is 00:23:44 But I'm trying to figure out if there's a way I can do both, but I'd have to get out to Dollywood and then get back. Which is like two hours away. Oh, it's like three hours. I can do the show, run to Dollywood, be an extra. How did that come about? Well, because we talk on the show all the time about how we love the Hallmark Christmas movies
Starting point is 00:24:02 and how we'd love to be in a Hallmark movie, which I totally see it in Bobby's future probably for sure. Be in an extra? No, the trajectory that you're on. I can see you. being the male in the movie. The city guy or the country guy? Well, it depends on which.
Starting point is 00:24:18 Sometimes it's a city guy going to a country place or he already lives there and the city girl comes. I see you being the guy. Sometimes the city guy goes to the country. Sometimes the country guy goes to the city. Right, right. Yeah, it just depends on how it's set up. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:32 And yeah, I'm just kind of like, this could be my one shot to get my foot in the door. What's the pay? Nothing. Free 99. Well, you can't go. I don't think you can go because you have this event. Okay.
Starting point is 00:24:48 If you did and I think it'd be awesome to go do. Being an extra though, it's a lot of work for nothing. It is a lot of work. Just stand around in the background. Okay, I just thought it was a moment to get noticed. But a listener was looking out for me, so maybe she'll keep me in mind for next time. It's a listener that works at Dollywood that saw they were needing extras. And they were actually told.
Starting point is 00:25:05 Oh, wait. So you didn't like get it. I thought you got an offer from someone. I didn't know it was just somebody who worked at Dollywood. From Hallmark? Yeah. Oh yeah, no, no, no. One of our listeners works at Dollywood, she saw a sign that said, hey, employees, round up extras.
Starting point is 00:25:19 So she sent me a DM. That's good. Maybe next time. Maybe next time. All right. Hey. Hey. What's the hats with you?
Starting point is 00:25:28 I kind of don't send texts anymore, as you know. I know. You do the voice texting. Well, I don't even do voice texting. Whatever it is. I hold down that button and just talk into my phone. Is that how you do it? Yeah, what's that called?
Starting point is 00:25:39 Voice memo in? I think it's just voice messaging. Inside the I message, you just push that little dot. It doesn't work for me. And then you just talk into it and you push send. One, I don't text and drive, but I won't get up my phone sometimes and talk at it. And so I send everybody. I think Eddie got my first one yesterday.
Starting point is 00:25:56 I enjoyed it, actually. It's kind of cool idea. Like a little slice of the radio show. But they expire. It's self-destruck. You only listen to it once or twice or something, then it's gone. I send Mike D notes for the show all the time on it. I'm like, let's do this bit, let's do this bit.
Starting point is 00:26:08 And I just send it off. And there's no typos in voice texting. Right. Which you kind of have a lot of typos. I don't look back. On Instagram, on text, Twitter, I write it and push send and never look back. But that's my new thing. I don't only text a whole lot.
Starting point is 00:26:22 I just send the voice memos. How are you liking the new iPhone iOS, Amy? I'm getting used to it. It takes me a minute. I don't handle change very well, but I'm getting it down. You don't have the new iPhone. Uh-uh, but I have the new update. And it, you know what, let you switch or say if you wanted like the dark, the
Starting point is 00:26:41 night screen or the day screen or whatever. At first I went with the cool, like, black, and I thought it was, like, really fun. And then it just overwhelmed me. It was confusing for some reason. Like, I couldn't, big, just using my phone was stressful. So I took it back to daytime and I feel happy again. You can switch it, though. Mine's set on. When it gets nighttime, it goes to night. Oh, really? Yeah. I like to keep it daytime all the time. Just like your life. And then the voice text stuff, I haven't been able to figure out, but I think that's it. No, no, don't send me those because you will not be. Amy talks forever. Oh, gosh. Yeah, don't do it. Your phone probably doesn't have it. Hello, hello.
Starting point is 00:27:11 Hey. Hey. What's the hat? Lunch bikes. One of Bobby's favorite people growing up was his coach. Coach, what was your name? Gandalf. You looked up to him. So there's this high school football coach in New Mexico. He's been arrested because he was going into the locker room and stealing from the player's wallets. There was money missing from locker rooms and he was even punishing them by going, if you're going to steal from your teammates, he was making them run extra laps. And so someone set up their cell phone in the locker and was like,
Starting point is 00:27:39 like, we're going to catch this thief. And there he is, walking in, stealing 40 bucks, and shoving his own sock. Oh, no. That stinks. That's a bummer. Did they post it on Instagram first before they send it to the cops? No, no, they went home and showed their parents. Their parents called the cops.
Starting point is 00:27:55 Oh, I hate that. Someone you trust stealing from you. That stinks. All right, what's the haps? Hey. What's the hats? Eddie? This is kind of a follow-up.
Starting point is 00:28:05 On Monday, I said that I was going to build my kids like a little underground. hideout in the deck or whatever because they wanted a tree house didn't really know how to build a tree house. So you weren't going to build one in a tree up. You were just going to take your deck that already existed and put a door on the bottom of it. Correct. They love it guys. The door took me about, I don't know, six hours to make, but they love it. They call up the hideout. They put Christmas lights under there. They have chairs. They put a little tent. They want to build a fire. I told them no, because the deck is made out of wood. But they love it. You guys hated on it. But, man, it's a hit. Amy, why did you make that face?
Starting point is 00:28:37 He said the door took him six hours And I was like What kind of door? It was a wooden door I wanted to match the deck Six hours But you're going to cut out part of the deck In the bottom right
Starting point is 00:28:49 Cut it out, measure it Go to Home Depot Buy all the parts and stuff All that took six hours Yeah Yeah All right there you go That's what's the haves
Starting point is 00:28:58 Hey What's the hats? That's what's happening with us Here's the Bobby Bones show Podcast Highlight segment of the day On a scale of 1 to 10, how accurate do you think this PSA is you're about to share with us, Amy? 100%.
Starting point is 00:29:13 Okay, that's not in 1 to 10. It's 1 to 10, not what percentage? 10. Okay. This is, I'm going to deem this the more you know. And this is about Halloween. Yeah, okay, so I got this email from Jonathan, and I was like, I am so glad that I got this warning. I need to share it with others.
Starting point is 00:29:33 Do I know Jonathan? Now I'm going to be aware. It's a listener. Oh, okay. You acted like we all knew who was. Yeah, she's like, I don't remember my boy, Jonathan. Our listeners, our buddies. Okay.
Starting point is 00:29:42 Hey, Amy, with Halloween coming up, I wanted to share with you and let other listeners know a Halloween scam that I came across last year in hopes that it won't happen to anyone else. Last Halloween, I opened the door and found a young mother with her son who was about four years old. Immediately after opening the door,
Starting point is 00:29:58 the boy yells, can I use your bathroom, please? I have to go really bad. So obviously, I let them in. Later that night, as I was getting ready for bed, I go into my bathroom, open up my medicine cabinet, and I noticed that everything is out of place and my pain medication was gone.
Starting point is 00:30:14 The next day, I made a report to the police. The police conducted an investigation and discovered that the boy had stopped inside 18 houses that night, and six of those 18 houses resulted in medications missing from the bathrooms. To my knowledge, they were never able to identify the woman or the boy. So just remember, on Halloween, things aren't always as they seem. Jonathan. So, okay, let's just say it's true, okay?
Starting point is 00:30:37 Let's say that's real. Okay. Are you supposed to say no? Right. You can't go to the bathroom. Are you supposed to say yes, but I have to be in there with you? I just don't hear a good way to get out of this. Talk to me here, Goose.
Starting point is 00:30:49 I thought, so my guest bathroom doesn't have any medication in it. Oh, God. Because it's not my personal, but some houses, like, may only have, like, if this was my first house that I lived in, we had one bathroom and we kept everything in there. So if someone needed to use a bathroom, that's where they went. So that could be the case for some people. But I have already thought this through. And I, first of all, I'm not going to want strangers to use the bathroom, but I don't want to be rude. So yes, the mom and the kid can come in and I'll escort them to the guest bathroom where there's nothing they can take.
Starting point is 00:31:21 Okay, so first of all, 10, where do you all think this is real? I, on a 1 to 10, 1. No cheat. 1. I bet you that it happened in one place and then it became this. The police conducted an investigation. What police? And the boy had stepped inside 18 houses that night.
Starting point is 00:31:40 I bet this, by the way, you're trying to steal drugs? That's a pretty good idea. And you're in costume so you can't be identified. And how many kids show up and you just have no idea who it is? Like there's no way you could even pick out that kid in a lineup. Lots of them. Yeah, if they're passed in America. But even then they're not fully covered up.
Starting point is 00:31:58 It depends on what they are. Sometimes they are. My point is this is not something that's happening a lot. It probably happened once. So in on one to ten, you are. Four. Oh. Four.
Starting point is 00:32:09 Probably happen once. Hide you Xanax. What? Or whatever else you have. Amy goes on to say. She goes out of Xanax. That's a good thing. I'm about to dress up and go knock, knock it at Bobby's on.
Starting point is 00:32:24 I have a lot. I don't use it anymore. I know you don't. That's funny. I'm going to tell you. My therapist and I talk about how I should be proud of myself sometimes. I haven't used a single. anxiety medication in three months and 13 days.
Starting point is 00:32:38 That's good. Hey, that's big. That's really big. That's awesome, dude. Yeah, because I have a very addictive personality. And to sleep sometimes, sometimes I get on planes. And I was like, you know what? I'm just going to cut it out.
Starting point is 00:32:49 And it was a real struggle at first. But now I don't even think about it. So that being said, and my doctors give me whatever because they know I'm not going to abuse anything. You know, I come from a history of drug addiction. So I'm like very aware of what I'm taking. But yeah, I haven't used it since. I'm not sure the days, but since the 8th, say, July, August. It doesn't matter over three months.
Starting point is 00:33:12 Okay. Thank you very much. So, yeah, I'm pretty proud of myself. So, Amy, if you need any, I will not give you any because that's illegal. But let me know. Okay. I'll just come ask to use your wrath at the room. Yeah, I'll leave them up there.
Starting point is 00:33:25 On Halloween, which. The more you know, there you go, just a heads up. Eddie, do you believe that? Oh, yeah, I would go 10. Thank you. Why would I not believe them? Eddie and I, the only responsible people in this room. Amy still gets email forwards.
Starting point is 00:33:39 I don't know how. Forwards. Yeah. She brings in these crazy notes and they're still email forwards. The chains or whatever, yeah. Remember those back in the day? Yes, they were annoying. My dad still sends them to me.
Starting point is 00:33:49 Oh, really? Yes. Well, that's who gets them. You and Amy. And then she brings them in like through the gospel. I appreciate them. The Bobby Bones Show. Big Three Stories.
Starting point is 00:33:58 Remember what you got? In sports and game one of the World Series of Washington Nationals. Nationals beat the Houston. Astros 5 to 4. At Detroit Metro, expect lines to increase passengers without a ticket are going to be allowed to clear security. The idea is to allow travelers to be with loved ones or friends for longer.
Starting point is 00:34:14 And finally, Macy's announced they're going to stop selling fur. They plan to have no fur on store shelves by February of 2021. Let's put Josh on in Austin. Hey, Josh. Pretty good, bud. Hello? Yeah. Yes, sir.

Starting point is 00:35:27 What state did Breaking Bad take place in? New Mexico Correct Who won the first season of American Island? Your name? Irwood? Incorrect. What city does the office take place in?
Starting point is 00:35:45 Correct. What CW. Starr did Chad Michael Murray? What C.W. Show did Chad Michael Murray star in? Who was the original host of who wants to be a millionaire? The Tribe Has Spoken. Is from what show? Survivor.
Starting point is 00:36:04 Correct. Doug and Kerry Heffernan were a married couple on what show? King or Queens. Correct. Before he was Walter White, what show did Brian Cranston star in? In the middle. Correct. Who was a couple?
Starting point is 00:36:19 the star of Lizzie McGuire. Hillary Duff. Hillary Duff. Wow. He got that. He did pretty good for someone considering he didn't want to do
Starting point is 00:36:29 2,000 television. Let's walk back some of these. Amy, see if you know this. What CW show did Chad Michael Murray star in? A one tree hill. One Tree Hill. Josh did not get that one right.
Starting point is 00:36:42 Josh did not know who the original host of who wants to be a millionaire was. Hey, well, hold on. Josh, do you know it now? I know his face. I don't know his name.
Starting point is 00:36:52 Regis Philbin. Okay There he is I'm sorry You did not win Eight out of ten What do we give him For eight out of ten everybody
Starting point is 00:37:02 Oh man Hat on the back Good hearty pat on the back There he goes There he goes It's a Bobby Bones show Let me go over and talk to Kelly In Nashville
Starting point is 00:37:11 Who is sitting by Hey Kelly Hi Bobby, how are you Pretty good what's happening Morning Morning Oh sorry we were all Do that again Kelly
Starting point is 00:37:20 That was rough Morning studio Morning. Yay. So I have a question for you, Bobby, because I know you're very all about being on time and punctual. So my 13-year-old is an eighth grade, and she is at school every day. Perfect attendance since the fourth grade. She's an eighth grade now.
Starting point is 00:37:42 But her grades are kind of nice. And she has friends that don't go as often, and they are straight-day students. So I wanted to know what your opinion was. what's more important, basically? Perfect attendance or getting all those good grades? Well, first of all, I don't think that they're mutually exclusive, like one or the other. I think for me, my whole thing has been, I'm not uber talented at really anything, but what I can control is me showing up on time in the right place and letting people know I'm dependable.
Starting point is 00:38:15 So if I could just skate through and be like, I'm so talented, then maybe I would be living my life differently. I don't know. I can only base on what I do. So I would say that as just a nice base for folks that just don't go in super genius, you got to show up all the time and do the work. Now, I think everybody learns a different rate.
Starting point is 00:38:36 I think eventually people that don't show up on time like these kids in our class are going to be caught up with and they're going to have bad habits built by then. They go to college, class gets a lot harder, and they're still not showing up all the time. That's really not the best. best environment to be. I would say, show up, do the work. Obviously, she's not struggling,
Starting point is 00:38:58 but maybe what she's learning now in school isn't her thing. But even if it's borderline, if it's 50-50 and a teacher's like, do I help this kid out? What are they going to do? They're going to look and see how much the kid's actually trying. So I wouldn't say that it's one or the other. I would say that it's not going to help her grades if she goes any less. It's not going to have all this creative freedom to go. I'm going to study now because I don't have to go to class. however keep going keep rocking it show up perfect attendance is great you don't have to get perfect attendance
Starting point is 00:39:24 but you just need to let people in school and in work and in your career know that you're going to be there because dependability being reliable is the biggest part of it yeah and she's been when I say perfect attendance she may have missed one day in third grade and was extremely upset about it
Starting point is 00:39:40 that's great because she's building this habitual lifestyle that she's going to have her entire life and that is so important right now at her stage so tell her that I said, that's fantastic. I love it. I would rather have somebody right now at that age that's going to show up and do the work and kind of figure out where they fall than somebody who's not going to show up and just go,
Starting point is 00:39:58 wow, this is easy. Because eventually it doesn't get easy anymore. Eventually it's going to catch up with you. So, Amy, what would you like to say about that? I mean, yeah, I probably was like some of the other classmates that I was the opposite of your daughter, and I would say, yes, like, keep on that track because I had to learn that later in life. I got into a bad habit. And then high school, I had trouble getting to class.
Starting point is 00:40:22 My mom had to come walk me when I was in the 11th grade. Yeah, she had to show up to class and walk you to class. Yeah, because my teacher called my mom and said I couldn't make it to math on time. And I had no idea, but my mom straight up showed up. And I was like, what are you doing here? I thought like somebody died. She was like, no, I'm here to walk you to class. I was like, great.
Starting point is 00:40:37 Kelly, what I'm going to leave you with is that, again, our grades aren't going to get better if she turns into one of these other kids who are not going as much too. but she is going to develop a super healthy lifestyle of being at the right place at the right time. And dependability is a humongous part of being successful. So tell her we say keep it up. We're proud of her. And you get to school on time. Get to work on time.
Starting point is 00:40:59 Got it? Thank you guys so much. Love you. You just have no idea how much happiness you bring to people. Thank you so much. Thank you, Kelly. Have a good day. You too.

Starting point is 00:45:06 for entertainer of the year at the CMA. awards and she definitely wants to win. Not the end-all be-all, but of course I'd be lying if I had said I didn't want it. Sorry, boys. Vivo is celebrating their 10th anniversary. In an honor of that, they listed their 10 most viewed country videos on their website. Chris Stapleton's Tennessee whiskey tops the list with 308 million views. And Kane Brown's Heaven comes in at number two with 278 million.
Starting point is 00:45:36 I'm Morgan number two. That's your skinny. It's time. for the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good. Okay, so this story is definitely what it's all about, and I love it. So meteorologists predicted a hard freeze in Southeast Idaho.
Starting point is 00:45:51 So some farmers, they had to hustle to, like, harvest up all their potatoes so that it wouldn't ruin them. And this one farmer wasn't able to get all of his crops up in time. So another farm nearby sent about 25 employees to help that neighbor farmer harvest his potatoes and then other farmers started sending their workers to lend a hand as well. A total like 50 people or so came out and snow was like starting to pour in and I mean they were down to the wire with this but everybody worked together and they finished the emergency harvest. You know that's good level one that people just helping out people but two all these other
Starting point is 00:46:29 farms that lent help are going to need help at some point too. Like we got to realize that too that we should be willing to accept help and give help and both of them are okay and needed. Like as I was reading that, I just like heard Luke Brian in my head. Like, I believe most people are good. I don't know if it's because I picture him harvesting. Catfish dinner. That's a whole.
Starting point is 00:46:49 No, but I can picture of Luke. Like, was he a corn farmer or peanut farmer? His dad. One of the two. Peanut. Peanut. But one time he brought us a bunch of corn. That's where it gets confusing.
Starting point is 00:47:00 He did drive up here with a bunch of corn in back of his truck. Yeah, but I mean, I picture this going down. Maybe around where Luke grew up and Luke going to help. There you go. That is, like you said, what's all about? Yep. That was Tell Me Something Good. Bobid Bones Show.
Starting point is 00:47:13 Bone Head. Story of the day. This story comes to us from Maryland. A man was trying to break into a restaurant. He grabs a brick, throws it at the window, bounces back. Picks it up again. Throws it at the window, it bounces back.
Starting point is 00:47:27 All right, third time's the charm. Dang. Takes it, throws it, brick off the window. Boom! In the head. Down he goes. He's on his hands and knees for 30, seconds dazed, gets up, and leaves.
Starting point is 00:47:41 They're calling him the bad luck bandit. So do they know who it is? No, they're looking for him. But he almost knocked himself out and he got nothing. It's got to be one of those special windows, right? It was bulletproof. Bulletproof glass and he didn't know it. Like the first time you probably go, this may not be for me.
Starting point is 00:47:56 The second time you've got to realize you're not going to break the window, right? Yeah. That's why he's a bonehead, though. I'm lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day. Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby Bones. All right.
Starting point is 00:48:15 So the name of the game is the forced movie recommendation game. Yesterday morning, we all put a movie in that we love. That was it. You have to love the movie. And we're going to put it in a hat. We're going to draw. The movie we draw, we have to watch within one week. So by next Wednesday, we have to all come back with the review.

Starting point is 00:57:32 The whale is correct. Wow. They're both mammals, right? But why is the whale bigger than the elephant? Why am I bigger than Eddie? He just doesn't seem right. That's a question for the man upstairs. I don't know. Why is the sky blue? Why do we have five toes on our feet? I don't know. Okay, okay, okay.

So this guy in Minnesota was running a 10-mile race when he had a heart attack.
Starting point is 01:06:48 And on his race bib, you know how sometimes people write messages or whatever? We literally had Jesus saves written on his bib, you know, for when he's running, people could see that. Well, when he had a heart attack, a person running behind him happened to be a registered nurse named Jesus. So Jesus did save him. Right. What? In more ways than one. I mean, isn't that so crazy?
Starting point is 01:07:12 Well, there are a lot of Jesus. That's true. It's a very common name. Yes. Well, but I mean, one of the odds that Hesus is running behind you also happens to be a nurse and saves your life when you have a heart attack and you have Hesu saves. Oh, no. Yes. I agree.
Starting point is 01:07:30 The odds are very, very low. Yes. Very. Wow. That's where you made me smile. Are y'all smiling? Pretty cool. I'm smiling.
Starting point is 01:07:37 Okay, good. Thanks. So Lori Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo, however you say the last name. They're facing more charges, this time for bribing officials. And the prosecutor or whatever, he's adding these on. They're hoping that they'll just like take a plea and be like, yes, we did it. Let's take a plea. Let's walk away.
Starting point is 01:07:57 But they're fighting it. Like, they want to go to court. And they've already spent, like, thousands and thousands, hundreds of thousands of dollars on legal fees. And they're going to fight it. But right now they're facing about 50 years in prison with fines at around 1.2. $3 million each. Well, the money obviously isn't an issue. Obviously.
Starting point is 01:08:16 Because they're super loaded. He's super loaded. Yeah, yeah, yeah. They must have an attorney telling them that they're okay. You always follow advice to people that are much smarter than you, and I imagine they've got the best attorneys going, and we're not going to settle quite yet. So that's what I would assume it's at.
Starting point is 01:08:31 Yeah. But they could be, I mean, yeah, these... They're not going to jail for 50 years. Well, it could add 10 more years to their potential sentence. Although I do like watching another girl in jail. Does drones fly over and watch her? The one from Desperate Housewives? Wait, I haven't been watching her.
Starting point is 01:08:47 Where do you watch her? No, she's all over the news, though, because the drones fly over while she's walk around in prison, and she's in her little... Jump suit? Yeah, it's like you work at a gas station with one of those zip-up body. She's wearing one of those.
Starting point is 01:08:59 Pretty funny. What color? Blue-ish. I'm pretty colorblind. Oh, yeah, that's right. All right, what else? Okay, so a man used a fake $1 million bill to purchase an iPhone in Scranton.
Starting point is 01:09:10 And so this is just a heads up. Like if you're selling something online, you could meet somebody shady, which this one woman was like, yeah, I'm going to sell my iPhone. She went and met this man, like, at a gas station. He gave her a roll of bills. On the outside was two $1 bills, then a $10 bill. But then right in the middle was a fake $1 million bill. And when she realized it, she told her friend, her friend was like, no, that's not right.
Starting point is 01:09:33 So she went over to confront the man and he punched her in the face and got away. So just, you know, if you're going to meet people online, just understand that could. Only take the real $1 million bills? Well, it could get sketchy, you know? Like, count the money, make sure that you got it all, and then be prepared to be attacked because that could also happen. Be prepared to be attacked. Yeah, like, have your mace.
Starting point is 01:09:54 Have your, what's your defense? Like, if you're meeting someone at a gas station and make a transaction, like, be prepared. Boy, I don't know. If I'm having to be prepared to be attacked, then I'm going to be selling anything. When I sold stuff on Craigslist, I used to take lunchbox. One time. I went twice with her. Yep.
Starting point is 01:10:11 See? Because y'all told me... I was the muscle. Y'all told me I needed to... Why's the muscle? I would go by myself and you got mad at me, so I started taking lunchbox. You did walk in someone's house, like all the way into the back of their house once. They said that I needed to go to their office.
Starting point is 01:10:25 Oh, yeah, yeah. That's what serial killers often say. It's what the guy from Saw says before you have to choose. All right, is that it? Yeah, I mean, that's my pile. That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news. With Bobby.
Starting point is 01:10:39 Tell me something good. It's got in Florida. It pays off the lunch debt for every kid in nine schools. About a thousand bucks. It was the outstanding lunch debt at all nine Jupiter area schools. One local guy, Andrew Levy, paid for it all. So he learned that 400 kids in the community couldn't get a full meal because they didn't have the money in the school cafeteria wasn't going to give them to him.
Starting point is 01:10:59 So he had no agenda, no children, no personal connection. But he had heard stories about this. And also saw that at 944 bucks, which is what it was, that he could actually make it happen. It wasn't like $300,000. He's like, you know, $944,000 I could do that. And so he's like, I did. And so he felt like food is not something
Starting point is 01:11:19 he should ever think about when you're going to school. Should be learning. So he paid it off. So shout out to this guy. Andrew Levy, not sure if you're a listener or not, you could very well be, but we appreciate you, and that's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good.
Starting point is 01:11:31 The latest from Nashville and Hollywood. Morgan number two's 32nd Skinny. Congratulations to Marin Morris and Ryan heard. Marin is pregnant with a baby boy and the two share the news on social media. Marin wrote, See you in 2020, Little One. There you go. Congratulations to those two. All right, what else? Carrie Underwood is up against Garth Brooks, Eric Church, Chris Stapleton, and Keith Urban for entertainer of the year at the CMA Awards and she definitely wants to win.
Starting point is 01:11:59 It's not the end-all be-all, but of course I'd be lying if I had said I didn't want it. Sorry, boys. Yeah, let's get it to her. Yeah. What happened? is it's not a public vote. You have to be in the CMA, which we are. Yes. And we have put all of our votes over in the carry camp. Or at least I have.
Starting point is 01:12:20 I don't control you guys as far as. I have to. I would assume you have. Team carry. Yeah, we're very much team carry. And if Eric Church wins, I'll be like, you know what? That's cool.
Starting point is 01:12:31 That's cool. But I'm really on Carrie's side on this one. All right, what else? And Vivo is celebrating their 10th anniversary In honor of that, they listed their 10 most viewed country videos on the website. Okay, hold on. Let me think. Is it an old one, number one old or new?
Starting point is 01:12:46 Newer. Kane Brown. He comes in at number two with Heaven with 278 million views. Were you surprised that I nailed that? Yeah, that's pretty good. Okay, but it's got to be Dan and Chey, Kane Brown, or Luke Combs. It has to be one of those three. Is it?
Starting point is 01:13:02 Nope. Wow. What am I missing something? It might be missing the get up? Nope. Oh, crap. What is it? It's Chris Stapleton's Tennessee whiskey with $308 million.
Starting point is 01:13:13 Good. I mean, that makes sense. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, well, I'm an idiot. Who I hate me? That's good. Okay, number one's Chris Tableton. Number two is Kane Brown.
Starting point is 01:13:20 Round us out of top five. You have them? Yeah, let me grab them. Hold on. All right, that's okay. That's it. Wrap it up. I'm Morgan number two.
Starting point is 01:13:27 That's your skinny. Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby Bones. All right, over to Amy with the morning corny. The morning. Corny. Why did the vampire need mouthwash? Why did the vampire need
Starting point is 01:13:53 mouthwash? Because he had bat breath. Bad breath. No, I get it. Bat. He's a vampire. Bat breath. No, I mean, I get it. Boy. You know what, you guys can be the judge on this one? That's cute. Thank you. It's cute. Lunchbox? You're going to clap? I mean, if anything thinks it's cute,
Starting point is 01:14:12 I'm going to clap. That's all right. That's good. I'm really tired, so what am I going to say? All right, there you go. That was the morning corny. I'm just giving you the benefit of my doubt. I didn't get until midnight last night and got up like four hours later, and I'm not probably feeling where I think I should. Feeling real silly. You know, maybe it just didn't hit me right.
Starting point is 01:14:36 Okay. But you got the clap. Congratulations. Thank you, Eddie. You're welcome, maybe. Eddie fought for you over there. Just looking at the movies that we have to watch because we drew out of a hat this morning. Ramundo will be watching White Chicks,
Starting point is 01:14:49 which was Lunchbox's suggested movie. Yeah, I can't wait to laugh. What's wrong with you? Oh, man, that's gonna be a funny movie. What's wrong with it? I think he's being sarcastic. Lunch said it's super funny. It really is.
Starting point is 01:15:00 It's hilarious. What we did is we all took a movie that we love and we put it in a hat and then whomever drew it had to watch it and review it. So Ramundo's watching white chicks. Morgan No. 2 drew my movie, which is Man on the Moon
Starting point is 01:15:13 about Andy Kaufman, one of my favorite performers ever. Jim Carrey's in it. I love it. It's my favorite movie. It's a great movie. So she'll watch that. Eddie will watch Dirty Dancing,
Starting point is 01:15:23 which was submitted by Amy. I've heard it's really good. So I can't wait. You're so lucky. Lunchbox will be watching The Beach. I mean, I've got no good feedback so far. I've heard it was terrible too. No one on Twitter has said, oh, that's a movie you're going to love.
Starting point is 01:15:37 So I'm worried. Ramundo suggested that because it's a DiCaprio movie. And it's a great adventure. It's something you're not ever going to be able to do. You can do it only in movies. What? Amy has to watch something called Life is Beautiful in Italian. So, yes, there's subtitles, Eddie.
Starting point is 01:15:52 Yeah, but it's so good and you're going to love it, Amy. Oh, my gosh. And then I'll be watching Sweet Home Alabama. So lucky. Which Morgan No. 2 sent in. I'll have that watch by tomorrow. Well, yeah, because it's good. I bet you can't wait.
Starting point is 01:16:03 Well, no, I can, be honest with you. But I'm flying to Chicago today, so I will watch it at the airport and on the plane. And maybe in the hotel tonight. But I will come in with a review of Sweet Home Alabama tomorrow. All right. I'll be the first one to give a movie review. I might as well just watch mine on silent. just read it
Starting point is 01:16:19 No, Amy Come on, give it a chance Yeah, the music is Amazing, right Eddie? You should eat pizza while you watch it Oh, there you go Because it's Italian Make it a full experience
Starting point is 01:16:27 Oh yeah, pasta It's a malle of garden Rock it, man You know earlier we played a game At easy trivia And everybody was all over me Because I messed up the question Mike D wrote the question wrong
Starting point is 01:16:40 I had to go through emails To find it But I feel good about my heart Oh, you love that You love it And I didn't say it I have waited. I know.
Starting point is 01:16:49 Because I said 1,400 Pennsylvania Avenue. And then I thought, I know it's 1,600. Why would I say that? It was written for me wrong as a question. That being said, I'm trying not to act like a reptile. Here's what's happening. Reptile. Like a snake?
Starting point is 01:17:01 No, no. So whenever, do you know what getting triggered means? When it doesn't affect you in a way and you go, and you kind of lash out? Yes. So reptiles live triggered. Oh. And your brain works in a different way when you're triggered than if you're not.
Starting point is 01:17:14 If you're triggered, you're acting off of impulse. And you're like, oh. reptiles live off being triggered. We as humans, the same part of our brain starts working if something hits us weird. Like if something hits you and you get like easily offended by it and you're so triggered, like that's a different part of your brain, a chemical popping into your brain. And you can actually control that and I try to not be a reptile. I knew I wouldn't do it and I was triggered in my head.
Starting point is 01:17:36 I was like, I've been, but I found it and I'm trying not to react. I'm just trying to respond. So I found the question. I'm going to post on my Instagram story now and be like, look, I didn't mess it up. Anyway, don't be a. reptile though that's the lesson here too that's interesting i never knew that that that would have that's what it's called because they they work so quick right they're out doom doom doom um they have a part of the brain that works with them all the time that whenever we get triggered by something something that bothers us and we kind of lash out
Starting point is 01:18:03 did your new therapist teach you this um we talk about triggers but then i go read i go do homework on everything okay it's like me when i watch the crown on netflix i'm like i gotta look everything up like i have to see if it's all accurate and then i've been on this big kick the last couple of months try and not to react things. It's hard. I know you were talking about that and it made me really think about that, like reacting versus responding. Reacting is it happens and you go, ah, good or bad, then you're like, oh, man, I wish I wouldn't have reacted that way. Responding is something happens and you go, ooh, it doesn't
Starting point is 01:18:34 make me feel good. Let me take a breath and see how I would like to actually pursue my next response. It's more thoughtful. And so with that, you actually can be a little clearer and there's less apologizing. So, Mike, do you suck? I'm going to post two things on my Instagram story. Two things that I just found so funny. This is you responding. Okay.
Starting point is 01:18:55 Yeah, yeah. Because one, I was going to post this last night, but I didn't. One, I'm going to post Mike Deez's question he messed up. Nice. Because I'm just getting beat up for it online. But two, Ramundo sent an idea for the show that I'm not going to use that I thought was so funny in my email that I'm going to post it on an Instagram story. So you can follow me Mr. Bobby Bones.
Starting point is 01:19:12 They thought he was in the military in the airport. I'm not even going to do it on the. Oh my gosh. And what? Oh, no. No. No, you didn't get on the flight early, right, Ray? No, I didn't.
Starting point is 01:19:23 Okay. But his whole thing, Ray Mundo, who's our, he works in the glass room, he runs our board. He's our, really, he's our producer who does audio. Now, he's, his whole thing was, you know, I was in Cambo pants and I look pretty jack, so I did it. They thought I was in the military. And he wanted to talk about it on the show, which I guess we're doing now. Yeah, that's funny. But I'll post it on a Mancagram story, and you can see how Raymondo sends.
Starting point is 01:19:46 his segment ideas in. It's pretty funny. Mr. Bobby Bones. Anything you like to say? I feel like we had a good lesson here on responding and reacting. Yeah, it's a great lesson. No, I'm glad you brought that up again. The whole respond to react because...
Starting point is 01:19:59 You're just so thankful for it, like a day later? Yes. I have been. I go, you know what? I'm not going to react. I just need to figure out how to make the hormones not. I feel like, depending on the time of the month, that is whether or not I can respond to react.
Starting point is 01:20:16 You feel that way because you haven't taught yourself that it doesn't matter yet. If you learn how to teach my hormones, tell me. I've been trying that for years. Because like I, even I feel crazy. Like when I'm doing it, I'm like, why am I even acting this way right now? But I can't stop. And I keep going. It's like a train wreck.
Starting point is 01:20:36 And then, you know, in the next day, I'm like, well, that was fun. That's got to be hard. As long as you're aware, you'll make 30% better decisions. And you'll correct it a little bit. Yeah. Sometimes I pause and I, like I say, it's my husband or whatever. I pause and I say, I'm very aware that everything I have just said is extremely ridiculous, but I need to just go with it. Like, I'm still not changing my mind right now, but I'm aware that it's crazy.
Starting point is 01:20:58 It's like me. I know that I had to fly back and forth across the country for like a 45 minute deal. I'm whooped and dehydrated. I'm tired. I know I'm tired. And so I still send my boss a note going, I'm so tired. Why don't you do that to me? I sent him a text this morning.
Starting point is 01:21:14 He didn't respond yet. But I know that. See, I'm aware. Florida teen was accidentally shot by her Uber driver. The driver's gun went off in the car. No. Shot the kid in the foot. Whoa. She didn't even know she was shot until the driver picked up another passenger.
Starting point is 01:21:33 No charges are pending as police considered an accident. But shouldn't there be some penalty for your gun falling and shooting someone? Even if it isn't. Like there's some negligence there at some point. As a gun owner, if my gun falls and hits the ground or hits something and shoot somebody, that's on you. I should have to do something. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 01:21:53 Go pick up garbage or something. Yeah. So, yeah, the bullet hit Bailey Braun, went through her ankle, went out of her heel. Oh, my gosh. In her Uber as a teenager. I'm speaking to teenagers, I watched these TikTok videos all the time. Last night, all Mike D. and I were doing were texting TikTok videos back and forth to each other. I know you're not on TikTok yet
Starting point is 01:22:15 and you probably won't be for a while. It's the best place to go for funny content. I know. I have my niece and nephews do it and I watch their videos. They're funny. They're really creative too. And they come up with these great things.
Starting point is 01:22:27 Sometimes the kids are a little too young on there and I'm like, I shouldn't be watching this. Oh. But it's so funny. Yeah, yeah. TikTok's funny, man. Listen to this story. A JetBlue worker
Starting point is 01:22:37 who ended up giving her friends $800,000 worth of upgrades is now facing 20 years in prison. Listen to how she did this. Tiffany Jenkins handed out more than 500 free upgrades in a 15-month period. She converted cheap flights into expensive trips using the JetBlue database.
Starting point is 01:22:55 Works as a gate agent. What would happen is someone would come in, she would use a code, I-N-V-O-L, and then they would come up, and she would like blank them out, but she could then switch them. So they'd buy the cheapest trip, like Las Vegas to California, and then she would switch it to really expensive trips
Starting point is 01:23:14 and no one would know. Oh, wow. She could book it to anywhere she wanted. The new flights involve much more expensive and international locations. So now she's going to go to jail for a long time. But I'm going to tell you, for that brief period, she was her best friend's best friend.
Starting point is 01:23:27 Yeah. Well, I just bought a flight to go from Boston to D.C., but, you know, instead of her to go to Italy. Let's call Tiffany. It's amazing. She'd hook it up. But now, and also, if you're in jail, That's not a very
Starting point is 01:23:42 Like a braggie crime? Well, I'm saying that I wouldn't be intimidated by someone going, What are you in for? Switching plane tickets. Right. He had to come up with a different reason you got in. Yeah, she wanted to go for a long time for that one.
Starting point is 01:23:55 I saw that too. Starting point is 01:27:26 APUS. Dot EDS. slash military. So you hosted an event last night. with Low Cash and Lindsay L. Yes. And they played? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:27:41 So she opened. There was like lots of different bands playing, but then she opened for them and they were like the headliner. So the last two were Lindsay and Low Cash, right? Yeah. And so got to spend time with Lindsay, catch up with her, which obviously was great to see her.
Starting point is 01:27:55 But we talked about some of her new music and then she's on stage. By the way, let me say this to new listeners. Lindsay L's Max girlfriend. That's a big part of this that you should know. Because if you don't, none of the story is going to make sense. Yeah. Oh, I should note that some of our side conversation before she went on stage was about your medical power of attorney and how we're both on there.
Starting point is 01:28:14 Oh, yeah. And how I was saying maybe you should take her off. Yeah. And she, you know, she understood that. Like having an ex on there is weird, but that she assured me that I can totally trust her and she genuinely cares about your well-being. So she's going to make the best decision. That's a good conversation you guys had. But who else would I put on there?
Starting point is 01:28:33 Exactly. Mike D, Eddie? Yeah. Yeah? Good options. You know, Mike D thought the White House was at 1,400 Pennsylvania Avenue. And I don't know about Eddie sometimes. What do you mean?
Starting point is 01:28:45 As long as I'm not drinking, I'm good, man. That's my point. It made me feel better about it because I was like, having an X on there, but after we talked it through, I feel good about it last night. She can be my partner. And we will make the best decision for your life, should you be living on plugs.
Starting point is 01:29:00 So anyway, then she got on stage and started singing and definitely I had forgotten about some of her songs because, you know. New stuff you haven't heard yet? Well, there was new stuff. And then there was also just other songs, like old ones that were for sure about you because her last album, there was a lot about you
Starting point is 01:29:16 and it was like, you know, the love side of you, like the awesome is the love. And then the new stuff is like the, oh, you know, like the, yeah, I don't love you anymore kind of thing. Yeah. Stuff. Any lyric that stood out to you? I mean, I don't remember specific lyric.
Starting point is 01:29:33 But, I mean, she did have some hardcore people. Like that brand new song that's not, she hasn't even really put out out yet. There was girls in the front row singing every word. And she asked the crowd. She said, how many of you in this crowd are in love right now? And like, four people were like, oh. And she was like, okay, this is four of you.
Starting point is 01:29:52 And she's like, how many you are not in love right now? Raise your hands. And then like the whole bar is like, woo. And she's like, me too. Like, so she's not in love anymore. And I was like, okay, okay, okay. What's this song gonna be? You know, we've been broken up for two years.
Starting point is 01:30:06 I know. Right. I know. Ray Moon. But like five minutes before she proclaimed that, she's also telling me how much she's like, is fine because you're on the, if you're on brief, if you're on the tubes and we have to like keep you alive, she's medical power turning. I can trust her.
Starting point is 01:30:20 And then she's on stage, like, singing these songs. I was like, this is awkward. I don't know what to do. You know? How does she really feel? What do you think I should do? Take her off or leave her on for now? I don't know.
Starting point is 01:30:30 I don't know. Because she's like so sweet. and I trust her. But then when the music comes out, it's like, I don't know. Raymo, you heard another song, another new song, right, that she did? Yeah, I wanted to play the audio on the show, but I think you got shut down. My D shut it. Yeah, don't.
Starting point is 01:30:46 Wait, which one? What was a lyric? Do you remember anything about it? Get over you? Yeah. Yeah. Get over yourself. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:30:56 I often say that to myself in the mirror, too, sometimes. I wake up. I look at myself, I'm like, dude, you can't get over yourself. So I get it. I probably helped to write that one. All right. Well, I'm glad that that went. Awkwardly.
Starting point is 01:31:06 I know, but you still have a decision to make. About what? About your future and your medical. If I find somebody else to put on there as my medical power of a turn or whatever, I'll do it. Yeah. She did say she worries about that. They're like, who can you trust anymore in your life? Obviously, an ex-girlfriend that's scorned.
Starting point is 01:31:23 Yeah. By the way, I did nothing bad to her. There's no infidelity. There was no, nothing like that. Just to, why do you? I said, mm-mm, you didn't. I said, mm-hmm. I know, there was none, by the way, zero.
Starting point is 01:31:37 I said, mm-mm. Yeah. Oh, my gosh. Yeah. Okay, so, well, I'm glad that went okay. I did. Everything else good? Yeah, really good.
Starting point is 01:31:46 What time did you get in last night? 8.30? 845? I still have low cashes cologne in my hair. Oh, Selena Gomez? I guess. Never mind. Hold on.
Starting point is 01:31:57 This just, it was handed to me. Released a Justin Bieber disc track. Speaking of music This is basically what last night was like Yeah, yeah yeah This was just sent to me I didn't mean to interrupt your Lod Cash Smellathon No, I was just
Starting point is 01:32:09 You asked me what else is going on I thought you needed a filler Because you were reading something So I thought well I guess I'll just tell About LoCash's clone We'll come back to that tonight All right let's uh Hit me with some of this song Ramundo
Starting point is 01:32:19 I gave my all and they don't know it You'll turn me down and I'll show And so the mom to replace us Like it was easy Made me think I deserved it And the thick of healing Yeah All right
Starting point is 01:32:42 I'm bored No no I'm not I'm interested And then I'm like Poor Justin Bieber Now I'm sympathizing with everybody Who gets a disc track written about him Poor Justin Bieber
Starting point is 01:33:04 Just living his life And what So she just put this out Or whatever Wait she could have written it A year ago I know Okay
Starting point is 01:33:11 Like the songs that Lindsay wrote Or from a year or two years ago I know I know I'm just like Well, he just got married. Like, move on. It's fine. Oh, so you're like slain to get over it.
Starting point is 01:33:19 Even if you love the song, don't put it out because it just got married. No, it's art. Put it out. But. Nice. Where'd you get that? Lisa Turtle. No, me.
Starting point is 01:33:28 I got that for me. It's a little art. Shut your art down. Are we art? Is art art art? All right, there you go. Raymond, thank you. Got a little drama with a high school football program.
Starting point is 01:33:40 This high school cancels the entire football season and fires all the coaches. after the kid plays with a fake name. You guys heard this story? No. It's hilarious. A St. Louis High School canceled its football season and fired all the coaches.
Starting point is 01:33:55 News of a suspended student playing under a fake name came to light. The team was a perfect 7 and 0 on the season. The kids are devastated, obviously. I blame it on the adults, ruining it for the kids here. He was really good.
Starting point is 01:34:07 A St. Louis High School has canceled their football season and fired everybody. Cardinal Ritter College Prep, which was undefeated, found out that junior running back Bill Jackson played in their season opener this year, even though he was supposed to be serving a one-game suspension. Bill Jackson fake name or real name?
Starting point is 01:34:23 I think that's his fake name. Jackson dawned a jersey with number 24 and went under the name of freshman Marvin Burks. I love it. Marvin Berks was his fake name. Okay. The problem was that he had tattoos and that was a dead giveaway that he really wasn't Marvin Berks. He was Bill Jackson.
Starting point is 01:34:42 The head coach told everyone that his running back didn't play and went along with it. And by the way, the kid crushed too. If you're going to put in the kid, he's got to just do okay. You can't have them go for 109 yards with a 56 yard touchdown. Killing the other team. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And they won.
Starting point is 01:34:58 It was a whole thing. They had to cancel the whole program. I fired all the coaches. Like, wipe it all the way. You can't cheat like that. I get it. Yeah, it's a bad example. Yep.
Starting point is 01:35:08 So I saw that. I saw that a suitcase exploded while it was being loaded onto a plane in Chicago. And before you start thinking about terrorist stuff, it's probably from a cell phone battery inside. Oh my gosh. Which is pretty nutty too. Not as nutty as someone trying to blow up a plane. My camera or a cell phone battery may have burst when a bag was run over or dragged
Starting point is 01:35:30 as it was being loaded on a flight. So, you know, my phone, I'll mention this again. You know, my phone, the iPhone 11 battery is so good. It's not the only thing that I care. And I wouldn't recommend, I'll say it again, I wouldn't recommend you buying a new phone just to buy a new phone because the upgrade just for phone, I don't think is worth it. You can get the new operating system and be fine.
Starting point is 01:35:52 However, I had to. My other phone was not doing well after it had been dropped in the pool, and I got a refurbished phone. The battery, I flew to San Diego, forgot my phone charger, spent the whole next day, didn't charge it, and was almost able to get home with all battery. Two days? Well, a day and a half.
Starting point is 01:36:07 Wow, that's amazing. And I'll tell you, another one of my friends said, hey, there's a new Mofi. It's not a backpack. He was like, here, just take this Mofi case. And it's not a case you put on your phone, but it's one that looks like a battery and you just plug it in the bottom of your phone.
Starting point is 01:36:19 It's three charges in it. I'll take a picture and try to put on my Twitter, Mr. Bobby Bones. It's the greatest Mofi charger I've seen so far. And so now I have one of those too. So the battery, the phone is all about the battery now. It's all about the battery. They just die all the time.
Starting point is 01:36:35 The fact they can't make a longer battery, but I guess they have on this iPhone 11th. They're doing it. Yeah, it's pretty good. Women love a bad boy, apparently. Men with the psychopathic traits are seen as more confident. Well, what is a psychopathic trait? What do you mean?
Starting point is 01:36:53 What does that mean? Well, I mean, I see psychopaths, like wasn't Ted Bundy a psychopath? Women loved them. Oh, that's so true. They love smooth talkers and they love people that are super confident. Me, here I am, like, lo-loom-de-lo-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l. The disturbing tendencies make men more likely to be confident. at ease with themselves, knowing the right things to say.
Starting point is 01:37:15 So scientists say that women like psychopathic men. There's your love story of the day. Wow. Bad news for me. Watch out. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Tell me something good.
Starting point is 01:37:28 Brian was asleep in his South Carolina home. It's like 2 a.m. And his dog curly comes in. It's like, hoof, rooof. Starts nudging him. Hey, rooooo! And Brian's like, leave me alone. Dog won't leave him alone.
Starting point is 01:37:40 Finally, Brian wakes up. House is on fire. grabs Curley and they get out of the house as it all goes up in smoke and flames and what's crazy is Brian said, I adopted Curley a year ago and I wasn't a dog person and I was never going to get a dog but thanks to Curley I'm still alive.
Starting point is 01:37:56 That's a good one. Love dough dogs. All right, that's what's all about right there. That was Tell Me Something Good. Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby phone. I want to read the email here. This is a pretty good mailbag. I always like the mailbags
Starting point is 01:38:19 when people write in about engagement rings because it really isn't a right answer. Just prepare yourself, listeners. Call us too. You want to hop in and give your opinion? We'd love it. 877-77 Bobby. Let's open the mailbag.
Starting point is 01:38:36 Bobby's Mailbag. Hello, Bobby Bones. I'd like to remain anonymous since my boyfriend listens to the show. We've been dating for three years and have been living together since January. Over the weekend, I was doing laundry at the house. I was getting his dirty clothes. And I found a ninge. engagement ring.
Starting point is 01:38:55 The engagement ring. Now, we've been talking about getting married, and I've sent him links from Pinterest about the rings that I like to give him ideas. However, this ring was nothing like the ones I had shown him. It's a solitaire style, and I told him I'd like to Halo style. I love him. I'm upset. He didn't remember what I liked. I just don't like the ring.
Starting point is 01:39:16 What should I do? Should I tell him I found it before he proposes, or let him propose and maybe talk him out of it, or just wear it forever? Oh, this is so hard. This is so hard. She signed it anonymous. So that's the mailbag question that we get. She finds the engagement ring she's about to be proposed with. Hates it.
Starting point is 01:39:35 What does she do? Oh, my gosh. Okay, I'll go first. My answer is if you're ever on the fence, because it's very sensitive. Very. If you're ever on the fence and you're like, I don't know what to do. Always lean toward doing the most. honest thing you could possibly do.
Starting point is 01:39:57 Because you don't know anyway, you might as well just do what feels the most right to you. I know. This could cause them not to get together anymore. What? I don't know about that. Okay, here's my answer, then you can give yours. Okay.
Starting point is 01:40:11 I say she found it. She has to go to them and go, listen, I'm really, I found the ring. I'm sorry. And I cannot wait to be proposed to. But I don't like it. But I'm just going to be honest with you. It's not my favorite style. I know it hurts.
Starting point is 01:40:28 If a girl came to you and said that, would you be like, well, you're not my style of girl anymore? I wouldn't like it, but I would respect the honesty. And it's one of those quick hits. Ooh, that hurts. But long term, you go, I'm glad you were honest. Like, yes, I would be happy she did it. Not at the moment.
Starting point is 01:40:47 I'll be hurt. But it's almost constructive criticism. I'm going to say, since you don't know what to do, be honest. not in this situation but all. If you're like, I don't know what to do, I don't want to hurt the feelings. But if you don't know what to do and you're on a fence,
Starting point is 01:41:00 just be as honest as you can. That's my answer. Amy, take it away. Yeah, I mean, you have to say something. I don't know if you say, well, but I don't know if you say it like before he proposes or after he proposes. Like, you let him do his thing
Starting point is 01:41:12 and then y'all work out a different plan for the ring. Like, you're like, is this the real one? I don't know. Can you imagine if you do that? Okay, okay, okay. I know. I know. It's horrible.
Starting point is 01:41:22 One time after my husband and I actually, we were getting this right before we got married or maybe it was our first Christmas together or something early, early on in our relationship. He got me a watch for Christmas that was so ugly. But he thought it was so beautiful and he picked it out and it was a nice watch and he thought it's great. And I was just never going to wear it. So I decided to be honest and tell him, you know it hurt him so bad. 13 years later, it's still an issue. You know?
Starting point is 01:41:49 So I wish I would have just kept my mouth shut and thrown on the watch every now and then. To be fair, it's not. engagement ring. I know, but I know, but could you imagine? That's why I said if I would have done that to my husband over a ring, he probably'd been like, you know what, this isn't going to work. Okay. This isn't going to work. So, golly, but I feel like you need to be happy. So I say that Bobby wants you to tell him before. I say you let him propose and then maybe you live with that ring for a little while. Maybe it's a few years. And then, boy, you're just really committing to that lie, huh? And then you, you know, celebrate your two-year anniversary with a new ring.
Starting point is 01:42:29 All right, let's go to Kelly in Arkansas who's on the phone. Kelly, welcome to the Bobby Bone Show. I got an email here and she says she found the engagement ring. She does not like it. What does she do? I say she keeps the ring. My husband actually proposed to me with a solitaire ring, and I am not a person who would wear a band with a solitaire ring.
Starting point is 01:42:51 So I actually redesigned the ring right before our wedding. And that was our, that was like my wedding band, is adding the halo around the solitaire ring. Okay. There's another answer. But then you have to add to it and pay more money. What if you ain't got no more money? You know?
Starting point is 01:43:12 Let's go over to Mindy in Oklahoma. Mindy, what do you think about this? Hi, Bobby. I just think it's super risky for anybody these days to buy just a random engagement ring. But she should just say, I accidentally found this. I think it would be really special if you and I picked out a ring together. This is something I'm going to wear for the rest of my life, and I want it to be special, and it's something that we picked out. I think it's too risky. to my husband didn't even
Starting point is 01:43:46 propose with a ring for me and we picked out something together he knows him a little bit you know particular sounds like it what did he propose with just nothing with himself
Starting point is 01:43:58 in what does that mean that's the baller way I've ever heard of a proposal hey baby you want to get married where's my ring we need a ring for I'm right here that's awesome
Starting point is 01:44:07 this is me try me on he put a bow on himself I'm right here baby what else you mean oh wow Okay, lunchbox your thoughts? This is another case of an ungrateful woman. You need to be happy that he went out with the love in his heart
Starting point is 01:44:23 and did whatever research he did and looked at rings and he picked that out with love. You should be grateful that he is willing to spend his money on a ring to get it for you. And if you aren't grateful enough, then bye-bye, girl, accept the ring or take a hike. Okay. Bye-bye, girl. Well, I say as uncomfortable as it is,
Starting point is 01:44:44 just get the honesty, rip the bandaid off, fix it now. Amy says, take the ring and a few years, re-address it. Fix it later.
Starting point is 01:44:52 Fix it later. For along the problem. Lunchpike says, peace out. Peace out. If you're ungrateful and you can't accept the ring that he bought
Starting point is 01:44:59 with his love, then you're not good enough. See you later. That's where women are, women are so ungrateful. Just in general, you mean? Yes, you heard all the women.
Starting point is 01:45:07 Did you hear them all call in saying, yeah, my husband did a bad job on the ring. I had to fix it. Oh, my husband knew not to pick out a ring because I wouldn't accept a ring that's bad. Like, get out of here. You guys are crazy. All right. Well, thank you for sending us an email. We'll talk about it, debate it. We did not come
Starting point is 01:45:24 to a uniform conclusion, but you did hear three different opinions from three different-minded individuals. Would you all agree with that? Yeah. Morgan number two, you're single in 26. What would you say? You have not been engaged yet as the way in final vote? I'd say say something. Oh my God. But when? I say you do it right away. If he can't handle that, then you guys don't even have that, you know, communication grounds. What did he say? There we have it.
Starting point is 01:45:51 Goodness. Nailed. She's a dude. That's it. No, it's a dude. She's honest. We're on the same team over there. Okay, look, thank you.
Starting point is 01:45:59 That's the mailbag, everybody. There it is. And that was Bobby's Mailbag. By the way, you can send us your emails. Morgan number two. How do they do that? Mailbag at bobbybones.com. Thank you very much.

Starting point is 01:49:54 and they're trick-or-treating and they ask to go to the bathroom, don't let them because they go in, they steal your medication. And so we looked it up. We can find no stories like with the police, where this has happened. However, there are some listeners that say it happened to them. So there are no actual stories of it happening, like in the news.
Starting point is 01:50:14 But some of the listeners are texting me, which it may just be you texting me, Amy, acting like it. No. Still, it's a whole thing. Not everything gets reported. Well, your thing said the police were called. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:50:25 But anyway, my point is, go back and listen to the podcast. You can hear this story. You can hear a lot that we do on the show. Just go to wherever you listen to your podcast or IHart Radio and search for the Bobby Bone Show and hear what we talked about earlier. Also, this whole show is on, you can see it, right? We're live.
Starting point is 01:50:41 I look like garbage today. I just looked. Here it looks a little unique. Listen, I didn't get to bed until 12, 31 o'clock last night. About 4 o'clock on my alarm. This is what drives me absolutely ape crap. As I text Mike D last night, or I sent him a voice memo, I'm like, hey man, because I try to get here 45,
Starting point is 01:50:59 minutes, hour before the show starts. Whatever the, I said, I'm going to come right before the show starts and try to get a little bit of sleep. So don't freak out because he always, if I'm, if I haven't reached out to him, you know, at a certain time, but he'll call me and be like, hey, you good? And so I'm like, okay, so I set my alarm. I'm going to wake up, drive in, walk right in and get started on the show, which I never do, but I just needed that little sleep.
Starting point is 01:51:20 Set my alarm. Of course it didn't work. Of course I woke up even earlier. Couldn't go back to sleep because I was nervous about sleeping too late. And it did the opposite to him. me. So I got here even earlier than I expected. Why can't I just be normal
Starting point is 01:51:37 in my own head? I know. It's good you got here, though. You had a lot to do. I know. It's fine. I had a lot to do. When do I not have a lot to do? It's a good problem to have, though. I tell people, some people go, oh, look at you working so hard. By the way, nobody cares how hard you work. Secondly,
Starting point is 01:51:53 I'm lucky enough that I get to now be tired at doing what I've always dreamed of doing. How lucky is that? I get to be tired doing something that I've always wanted to be tired doing. There is no better tired than being absolutely exhausted from traveling around the country, doing TV shows and radio shows. Are you kidding me?
Starting point is 01:52:10 I got up Mountain Pine, Arkansas, population 772. You don't get to do this where I come from. And hopefully there are other kids that are listening who in their neighborhood. They don't get to do stuff either, but you hear me and go, well, Bobby can do it. He's not that talented. That's the goal. Preach. Maybe you don't have to say Bobby's not that talented.
Starting point is 01:52:25 Maybe leave that part out. Maybe you don't say that out loud, but you can think that. But you can do it. If I can do it, you can do it. I believe it. You just got to show up and be nutty in your head where you can't even sleep 15 extra minutes. But that's part of it because you're always on time.
Starting point is 01:52:41 It's part of it being early. And today I tried to be not late, but later than my normal window. Couldn't even do that. And then I was early. And then I'm mad at myself. And I've had no food yet. I have 38 minutes before I can eat food
Starting point is 01:52:53 because I can't eat food till 9 a.m. because I'm doing this eight-hour eating window. The fact that you don't want to call it intermittent fasting It's hilarious to me. No, because... Bobby's like, I know. That's what hippie-dippy people call it. People did act like they're all smart.
Starting point is 01:53:05 But it's what you're doing, but you just like to call it the, I only eat for eight hours. I'm a normal person. I don't, if I go, I'm intermittent fasting. Because when people talk about that, I roll my eyes and I'm like, who are you, Gandhi?
Starting point is 01:53:16 You're fasting? You're trying to save the world over there, Gandhi? No. I'm just trying to only eat in eight hours because it cuts out at nighttime. All the garbage food that I'm eating or just extra. Since it's not an option,
Starting point is 01:53:29 I don't have to keep up with the extra I'm eating. It just is none. You're not eating at night or in the morning the way you're doing them. Going crazy over here. But going crazy, doing much love. How have I been doing today, though, with my irritability? Oh, better than I thought. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:53:44 I kind of thought this morning in our early, our alone time. I was like, today's is not going to be good. But you're doing well. I tried not, I'm trying not to use reptile brain. Mm-hmm. And I know that this happens to me. And if you can be aware of your issue, you can always fix your issue a little better.
Starting point is 01:54:00 Not always, not fully, but I feel like I'm about 38% better today because I'm really aware that I came in just rolling hot and irritated. I like this new reptile thing you're doing. Well, you can hear that in the podcast too. There's science to how the reptile brain works. And at times, there's a part of our brain that works the same way a reptile's brain does, which is just trigger, go, trigger, bad, bad.
Starting point is 01:54:20 So I'm trying not to use that part of my brain. All right, and I have a bar over here. I'm going to eat at 9 o'clock. yet. Like sign the alarm. I mean, but when you're down to the minutes, does your body really know? No, no, but my brain and my heart do. Okay.
Starting point is 01:54:35 So at 8.59, it's like Dick Clark's counting me down the new year. Six, five, and then I eat it. Food. So I did get a note, too, from our boss who you, I posted a clip of a song called the Target song that I played at the Grand Ole Opry. I think about the red short shirt. Don't run it. Oh.
Starting point is 01:54:56 Did, uh, did you watch the video? Or if you just heard the song Oh, you heard the song at the show And I've been there, yeah. Yeah, yeah. He was like, that's a really funny song. Well, it will be on our new live record, not that version, because that was at the opera
Starting point is 01:55:08 during some stand-up I was doing. But if you want to watch it, Mr. Bobby Bones, it's on my Instagram. So when Eddie and I put it our live record, you'll get to hear that. It's a pretty funny song. When's that coming out? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:55:18 I don't know yet. I don't know. I'm still working on it. Right now, I'm just trying to get to, so I can eat my bar. Okay. I'm trying to eat my bar. Yeah, first things first.
Starting point is 01:55:24 That's it. Let's play a music game. Hey. Come on, let's go. Here we go. Ramundo, please explain to me how this game works. Yeah, so we bleeped out a name and then you guys are going to guess what the name is that we bleeped.
Starting point is 01:55:37 Okay, so the example you gave us, will you play that one more time? Yeah. All right, it's a Shania Twain example. Go ahead. Okay, so you're... That's Brad Pitt. Okay, so you're Brad Pitt. So you're Brad Pitt.
Starting point is 01:55:57 There it is. Okay, so we have five of these. And then let's go and write your hand. answers down. If you miss it, you will be eliminated. Bobby, Amy, Lunchbox, Eddie, ready to go. Ready. Here we go. Hit it. Easy. I like, too, that they're cutting off the
Starting point is 01:56:22 first letter because I'm going to hear. Yeah, yeah. That's easy. Can we do it one more time? Yeah, why not? I'm in. Am I'm in for the win? No, I got it. No, I'm going on with you. Eddie, are you in? Yeah, I'm in. Lunchbox? Hank Williams. Love it. Eddie?
Starting point is 01:56:50 Charlie Dan. Daniels. Yeah. Charlie Daniels. Wow, good for you. I have Charlie Daniels. Yeah, good. Do every Charlie Daniels song.
Starting point is 01:56:59 Nice job, guys. Thank you. Thanks. Wow. Okay, good. Lunchbox has been eliminated. Song number two. Well, the boys around here don't listen to the
Starting point is 01:57:08 run. Oh, Bo, Severs through a jukebox needle at the honking. Love it. What? What? What's up? What's up? That's right.
Starting point is 01:57:16 Okay, I play it again, Ramuda. Well, the boys around here, don't listen to the I'm in. Hey Phil, confidence-wise, one to ten. Five. Okay, what do you got? The Beatles? I think that's right.
Starting point is 01:57:33 That's what I have, too. Eddie? I have the Beatles. Okay. Well, the boys around here don't listen to the Beatles run. Yeah. Good job. Good job, good job.
Starting point is 01:57:43 All right, next up. Don't rock the jukebox. Want to hear some jump. Oh, I thought that would be it. Because my heart ain't bitty. What? Okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:57:58 I thought it was going to be Jones. Right. Yeah. I thought so, too. How do you feel, one to ten? Eight. Oh. What you got?
Starting point is 01:58:05 Rolling stones. Eddie? Rolling stones. I have rolling. I'm pushing the correct button because I have rolling. My heart ain't ready. Father rolled stones. I don't feel like rocking.
Starting point is 01:58:18 It's a good one. Ray Mooney, give me another one. Birds need bees and ice needs whiskey. Boys like me need girls like you to kiss me fishing in the dark meets. You don't know this one? Would you like to hear it one more time? Well, I mean. Or do you have your answer already?
Starting point is 01:58:41 I have an answer. One more time, Ramundo. Yeah. Birds need bees and ice needs whiskey. Boys like me need girls like you to kiss me fishing in the dark meets. Oh, you got it. You say it out loud. Because they sing Fishing in the Dark.
Starting point is 01:58:59 Nitty Gritty. Nitty Gritty. I have that, too, Nitty Gritty. Good. One more. Before we go to sudden death. Go ahead. Mixed tapes got a little Hank, little
Starting point is 01:59:14 something bumping thumb thumping on the way. What? Yeah, I got it. I'm in. I need to hear it one more time, please. Good one though. Yeah. Do it again.
Starting point is 01:59:25 Mix tape's got a little Hank, little little something bumping thumb thumping. How you feel? 10? Oh wow. Oh, yeah. Little Hank and then Lil Wayne. No.
Starting point is 01:59:39 That would have been great. I don't have, no, you're thinking, Got little Wayne bumping on the iPod. I know, but I thought maybe they did it too. Little Hank, little Wayne. I would say a little Hank, little Drake. Oh, it probably is. Played the beeped one again.
Starting point is 01:59:56 Mixed tapes got a little Hank, Little Wayne. Why would you want to hear it to get us to sing over again? Because I feel like, because he says Lil. Does he say Lil Drake? But it's not Lil Hank. That's not his name. He's not singing Yodel Boy.
Starting point is 02:00:09 Just going to play a Lil bit of this. He probably means Hank Williams Jr. Yes, no, for sure. Lil Hank. But Lil Hank, Lil Wayne. Eddie, what's your answer? It's Lil Drake. Oh, like a...
Starting point is 02:00:20 Mix tapes got a little Hank, little Drake a little something bump and thump. Yeah, it just means like a little bit of this, a little bit of that. Not little. Okay, golly. Did I just get myself eliminated? Are we at sudden death? Are we going to do one more?
Starting point is 02:00:33 Yeah. Okay. You sure? Because I'd rather do one more. Do we have one more to do than sudden death? Okay, so just Eddie and myself. Because you're faster than me on that sudden death. We're drawing.
Starting point is 02:00:52 Yeah, we're going to have a duel. All right. Hit it. This is not said death. Okay. John Wayne, Superman, California. I'm a Chris Christopherson son and morning. I'm a mom and dad singing alone to...
Starting point is 02:01:04 Oh, come on. Too easy. Too easy. Play it one more time, Raymondo. I'm John Wayne, Superman, California. I'm a Chris Christopher son's son and morning. I'm a mom and dad. Singing alone to...
Starting point is 02:01:19 Yeah, of course. On the count of three, say it. One, two, three. Don McLean. All right, good. All right. We're now to sudden death. Oh, boy, that's where you get me.
Starting point is 02:01:34 So when you know it, just yell your name. Right. Don't yell the name of the answer, your name. Raymondo, are you ready? Eddie and myself down for sudden death. Here we go. And go. She looks so pretty when a make-up on it.
Starting point is 02:01:52 You should hear talking to her mom on the phone. I was first. No doubt I was first. Mike D. Mike D. Mike D. I was first. I was first. I was first.
Starting point is 02:02:05 Our brains were right there. I was first. Should we go to the judge? We can run this back. The tape back. Okay, you can run the tape back. Here, let's say the answer at the same time or run the tape back to see who wins.
Starting point is 02:02:18 Okay. Okay. I love it when she wraps to an Eminem. You're sitting around by a lunchbox so you'd be closer. Okay, all right. The tape won't lie. Can we pull that tape, Ramundo? This is amazing.
Starting point is 02:02:30 We can take a break if we need to. Yeah, we got to take a break. Okay. Wow. This is amazing. trying to get ahead of the song? Try to sing in my head. Me too.
Starting point is 02:02:39 Hey, either way. Who dies in this one? Hey, nice job, though. If I have to go out, it's a good run, buddy. That was fun. We'll check the tape, and then we'll come back. And let's slow it down and see who's the... B...
Starting point is 02:02:55 Do we have tape? Okay. Is it? Well, so Eddie and I went down to sudden death. Do I have the tape? And we both yelled our name as the buzzer. We both got it right. We both agree.
Starting point is 02:03:11 We yell it at the same time. And you know what? Whomever wins? Great effort. Yeah, okay. Because I don't know who won. But you did great, I did great. I sure hope I won.
Starting point is 02:03:20 Yeah, me too. I hope I won. Let's see we buzzed in first. Is it a slow-mo version? You don't need the slow-mo. I don't need it? Oh, it's a clear winner. Oh, crap.
Starting point is 02:03:27 Oh, wow. Here we go. You should hear talking to her mom on the phone. Buddy, go, hey! Bobby's so fast. Yeah, I won easily. Easy. I didn't even hear Eddie.
Starting point is 02:03:39 Yeah, here we go. You should hear talking to her mama on the phone. Bobby, go, yeah, yeah. Yeah, all right, it wasn't even close. Well, Lunchbox was yelling next to Eddie that he got it, so we had to, like, look at it and be like, take it to the tape. Eddie, even though I won, I would like to say you're still unbelievable. Oh!
Starting point is 02:03:58 Hit me! You're unbelievable. Oh! Yeah. That was a fight. I loved it. A lot of respect. I'm holding your arm up in the ring too.
Starting point is 02:04:12 Good game. Good game. As the champion as well. That was good. That was good. Regardless of what happens, I just don't want you to go home thinking you're anything less than being unbelievable. You're unbelievable. I won't.
Starting point is 02:04:31 Thank you. My new winning song is awesome. It's pretty awesome, man. The way it hits. Yeah. When it hits right. And then we all get to go, oh. Oh.
Starting point is 02:04:41 Oh. So, and if you're listening to this show, I just want you to know that you are, you're unbelievable. Amy, why don't you yell? Okay, okay. What? You have fun during my song? Okay, hit my song. No, you didn't win.
Starting point is 02:05:00 Don't not hate our song. No, no, not for winning. That's not real valor. Not for, I don't want to, I want to see how you react when my song comes on. Well, win a game, sassy. Okay. I'll start doing the, oh, but it's fun they have a fun one, you and Eddie, and lunchbox. Y'all all have fun ones.
Starting point is 02:05:18 You picked yours. No, I didn't. Yes, you did. Well, it was a mistake. They're calling them cell ebreddies. The celebrities are making six figures from prison being Instagram influencers. Oh, my, wait, what? How are they on Instagram?
Starting point is 02:05:37 Exactly. They have the gram and like vlog, doing video blogs. They're called celebrities. Jailbirds are cashing in as influencers and racking up fans online. They come out of jail, no longer behind bars. These former inmates and ex-cons are racking up large followings with their videos, all making, they say even millions of dollars because of jail. Wow.
Starting point is 02:05:57 More so than being in jail. With 1.2 million subscribers, the after-prison show, which is a guy who served seven years for cocaine and firearm possession, he talks about how to make a prison tattoo with a fake gun. it's got 205 million views. So all these guys coming out of prison and making a bunch of money. Not all, some.
Starting point is 02:06:17 Yeah. Yeah, I'm very select few. Don't try to go to jail so you can come out and then be famous. I have a first cousin that's in jail and he gets phones and he gets
Starting point is 02:06:24 iPads smuggled into them. iPads. How do they get that in? I don't know how they get that in. There's Wi-Fi in there? I don't know about that but you can use cell on the Wi-Fi. I don't know.
