Starting point is 00:02:54 A couple things I wanted to mention. Halloween was yesterday, and Morgan number two had a costume where she was Dolly Parton for a Halloween party. And I saw where Dolly liked the tweet that you put up of that picture. Yeah, and she replied beautiful. She did? She saw it. I wonder if that's Dolly running her account. Do you think so?
Starting point is 00:03:12 Don't ruin this for me. I'm not. No, no. I would think it is. Being a social media manager, it probably isn't. But I'm just going to believe in my heart that it was Dolly. I would bet, though, even if it was. wasn't Dolly who wrote it, they showed it to her.
Starting point is 00:03:27 We'll go with that. Yeah. Like, I would really think that. If I were betting, I would think that Dolly actually saw it. She may have not written it with her own hands, but I would think she saw it. Thank you. Does she post other stuff on that account? Yeah. Somebody does.
Starting point is 00:03:39 Okay. But you were a great Dolly Parton. Oh, thanks. Yeah, it's fantastic. So Dolly Parton has 4.8 million followers. She wrote beautiful. She sure did. I'm looking at it right here.
Starting point is 00:03:51 Congratulations. Thank you. And I even looked to see if she, like, did it to other people. people and she didn't so I felt really special. Oh you wanted to see if she was just passing out. Yeah. Well you know, because people dress as dolly part and all the time. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. But it was just me. I felt so special. Control C, control B, control B, control B, control B, control B. Same emojis over and over. Morgan number two brought up an interesting thing about Facebook to me. So I guess you've accepted a lot of people on your personal Facebook that you're kind of like, I don't
Starting point is 00:04:16 really know them. Yeah, so you know when Facebook first came out, you just accepted all the friend requests and you're like, yeah, sure. So I had like 5,000 people on there. And I'm like, I don't know even maybe 500 people. So now when people like, you know, celebrate their wedding or they have a baby or somebody dies, I unfriend them because that's my way of figuring out, oh, I really don't know you. And I have no idea what you're posting about. Wow. Isn't that so funny?
Starting point is 00:04:42 But also a great way to kind of dig through your feed. If somebody's in your feed and you're like, I don't know what that is. And why do you post big life events? You can just go unfollow. Oh, I don't even accept them. Like there's a, I said it to where I have to accept friend requests and I haven't accepted one in like 10 years. I haven't either and I don't have many friends. But I did accept people early on.
Starting point is 00:05:03 Yeah. I was like, oh, I met you on a Tuesday once at a restaurant. And you know my cousin, yes, I'll accept it. Yeah. So now I'm like backpedaling, trying to get rid of people. I don't accept anybody anymore. Okay, got it. But I'm trying to get rid of everybody else on there.
Starting point is 00:05:15 It's kind of savage, but it's the only way I can filter it. I think a pretty productive way to do it though. Yeah. It is kind of weird when you look at your page and you're just like, I don't know who that. some people I follow on Facebook I've only ever kept up with through Facebook like I met them followed them we followed each other and then I like know their life but I don't know them so crazy yeah like there are a couple people from Austin who I may have met once right like ran a restaurant or something but like I know of their kids their life story like I've seen it all
Starting point is 00:05:45 falling along yeah yeah and I'm like well how about that little jimmy's got a lot bigger wow and I'm like well I guess I never really I don't even know the dad much less little jimmy but yeah anyway I thought that was funny. Something else we were talking about before we went on the air was, I'd ask Morgan number two if she worked out yesterday. Because a lot of times we'll kind of compare notes and go, hey, you're going to work out today? You want to not work out. And she didn't. And I didn't go work out at my gym either yesterday. So I said, hey, Morgan, did you work out? She's like, yeah, we talk. And then Eddie goes, I worked out. And we thought he was kidding for a second until you go. I was serious. I did 10 pushups on my son.
Starting point is 00:06:19 Yeah, my son's been kind of working out a little bit doing like sit-ups and push-ups. I'm like, Hey, that's kind of fun. Let's do that together. We did 10 push-ups, and we both got distracted and stopped. But I'm sore today. Are you? Yeah. You're sore from 10 push-up? But anything you do if it's new, you're going to be sore.
Starting point is 00:06:34 Yes, that's kind of weak. 10. However, I just know sometimes I'm hitting it really hard, lifting or boxing, and I'll go do yoga, which isn't as physically taxing, but I'll be, and I'll be in great shape, but I'll be so sore just because it's a new. Right. Oh, yeah, you're working all kinds of different muscles. Or if I don't do yoga and I go run.
Starting point is 00:06:52 Correct. A couple miles. Not that much, but I'll be sore even though I'm in so much better shape than I am to just run two miles. Exactly. Like I walk the dog every day, so I'm not sore when I walk the dog. I'm kind of on your side, but you keep making dumb points back. What do you mean? And it's like, yeah, I do five jump-jacks every morning. He's like, you know, I drive my car to work every day and... My ankles, sorry. But if you didn't do that every day, you would be sore. That's what Bobby's saying, right, Bones? Yes, if you're doing a new... I wasn't hating on you.
Starting point is 00:07:20 Thank you. Ten push-ups. My form was really good, by the way. Oh, I'm sure. It sounds like maybe you were holding it for like 10 seconds on each side. No, I just did. A guy wearing a, it's not a crime unless you get caught shirt, gets caught on security cam committing a crime. Well, you got caught.
Starting point is 00:07:38 Sounds like a bonehead story. The Crystal City Police Department's investigating. A clever dog rings the doorbell at 2 a.m. After the owners accidentally locked it outside. Oh, how did it know how to do that? But you're dusty, your other dog could open the door. Absolutely. Super smart dog. This one, not so much.
Starting point is 00:07:57 This dog has different reasons to love it. I think this dog is going to be much more chill. Does it sleep a lot more? Just like, it's more like, just love me all the time. Much more loving dog. I don't, where my other dog was really smart, but was all over the place. This dog is the opposite. and we're learning each other.
Starting point is 00:08:21 It's like when you have kids, they have different personalities. So different. But you love them both. So different. Yeah. And my dog now is, I think, seven months old, about to be eight. Big surgery next week. So see how that goes.
Starting point is 00:08:34 I'm going to miss out on a little bit of it. He's going to have the surgery and I'm here, but I go right to do American Idol next week. And I'm gone for three days. So my sister don't have them and have to, like, nurse him for those three days. Poor guy. In the, the cone. The cone. I know.
Starting point is 00:08:48 A woman in New Jersey is suing her country club after a waiter spilled wine on her $30,000, $30,000 urme's purse. Oh, my gosh. She is suing a country club for $30,000 claiming a waiter spilled wine on her pricey pink purse. I mean, can't she just wipe it down? And almost, unless it was done on purpose, if it was on an accident and it's super, you're going to sue? Right. That sounds like a little ridiculous. Wine doesn't come out.
Starting point is 00:09:17 Well, maybe it was, oh, is it, I'm picturing white wine. Maybe it was red wine and it ruined her pink alligator skin bag. Whoever the waiter was proceeded to pour red wine and didn't stop. Oh, it was an angry thing. Oh. Difference, huh? Oh, yeah, if so, because it wasn't an accident. Let me read deeper into the story.
Starting point is 00:09:36 I just saw the headline. I was like, I'll bring it up on the post show. That's how I read new stories. For the show, I used to read them. But for the post show, I'm like, Mike, hand me all these stories. We like collect stories during the show, too. A New Jersey woman is suing a country club for $30,000, claiming a slippery, fingered waiter spilled.
Starting point is 00:09:53 She was dining at a swanky club when the server allegedly stained her stylish Hermes bag. When she complained about the flub, both the club and her insurance company were dismissive. They couldn't comprehend that a bag would be that much. She added, well, it is sort of a rich person problem. She tried for nearly a year to solve the dispute with the club. They stopped communicating with her.
Starting point is 00:10:14 Whoever the waiter was proceeded to pour red wine and didn't stop, poured it all over her, put it all over the very expensive bag. What? Maybe it was an accent. I don't know. It doesn't really say if he just was got all over everyone. He's slipping the whole door. What is happening?
Starting point is 00:10:27 Three Stooges movie. Man. They caught it. One sold for $37,000 last year. A bag. Not this one. Those bags are crazy. I'm looking at him here. Mighty's put him on my screen. Yeah. They just look a box.
Starting point is 00:10:39 $33,000 for a used one. Bag. A used bag. $33,000. $15,000 for one. of the $12,000 for a cheap one. Here's one. A Hermes-Burkin bag, 35 centimeter,
Starting point is 00:10:54 Himalaya Blanc crocodile. Oh, this crocodile. I was thinking an alligator. $265,000. More rare of an animal? For a bag. I don't know. I just knew it was one of those.
Starting point is 00:11:04 Is it filled with gold for a quarter million dollars? Type. Yeah, like I always wonder, is it worth that much money, like, to make it? Like, did it, is the crocodile that they got? It just earned a repute. Like, some shoes, they're just, they've earned. earned that they can, so they do.
Starting point is 00:11:19 I would compare it to art. Yeah. So it doesn't cost that much to make, but it's special. Some art is hundreds of thousands of millions of dollars. Some art is $5. Crazy. Weird. One of our bosses has an urmaze bag.
Starting point is 00:11:31 Have you seen it? Uh-uh. Rock? No, a woman. A woman. Gator. You know that haunted house that they give you, if you can get it all the way through it, $20,000.
Starting point is 00:11:44 Oh, yeah. But like, you're. Go ahead. Well, I didn't know if anybody made it through because it's like so scary. So they're starting to be public about this. There's a petition against it saying, hey, here's what's happening. They only let people go through it. First of all, you have to sign 40 pages of waivers.
Starting point is 00:12:00 And they only let the really weak people they know won't make it go through it. And it's basically a torture chamber for 10 hours. It's like you can possibly die in this thing? Yeah. That's why you sign all those paper. He facilitates the haunted attraction. He claims it tours based on personal fear and lasts approximately 10 hours. but the people are saying listen
Starting point is 00:12:18 he just picks the people that he knows will break and they have to sign a 40-page waiver and it's 10 hours long and it's getting the reputation if you can go through it you make the money but they won't let anybody go through it oh gotcha that's what the story says I don't know that that's true
Starting point is 00:12:32 but it's called McCamey Manor Mike did something go out on this? Because they're saying it's basically just him torturing people and passing it off as like a haunted house but it's I mean he'll like strangle people, pour water on him it's crazy is he like getting off
Starting point is 00:12:46 I think he just enjoys the thing of torturing people. I don't know what's happening over there. But I try to go through it. You're in? How much do you have to pay to participate? I think it's free if you get in, right? You can win $20,000 if you make it through. No one's ever done it.
Starting point is 00:13:01 But I know, but how is he funding this? I think his own money. He just spends 10 hours just torturing you. Okay. I was picturing this whole elaborate setup, but I guess if he's just like, come to my back room, turn the lights off, and strangle you. So is there a chance that you could,
Starting point is 00:13:16 win? Yeah, you get through it. Yeah, but... So you just have to be patient and get through it, all the torture. Yeah. Wow, this is weird. It's closed now, I think. Okay. Shut it down. People are trying to shut it down because they're going, you don't have a real chance to win $20,000. The guy's just like... He's just weird. He's just... I don't know that he's weird. I'm just saying why. I do. I do. The Rock, just bought a $9 million compound near Atlanta and pay cash for it. Money. Money. Speaking of money. Angelina and Brad Pitt are fighting over a French castle. that they own.
Starting point is 00:13:48 I don't think it's a war over land. Take my freedom. That's it. I hope you guys have a great weekend. We're about to get into Friday show. Hope you enjoy the talk I have with Miranda Lambert. And that'll be what's up. Thank you very much.

Starting point is 00:18:10 That's AMU. dot edu slash military folks it's your buddy and mine Mr. Bobby Bones Let me This is the Bobby Bones Hey welcome to Friday show We will spend a lot of time later on
Starting point is 00:18:34 With Miranda Lambert in studio So that'll be fun The Friday morning dance party Let me say morning studio Morning So here we are Today's the last day We can get our movie reviews in
Starting point is 00:18:44 And Lunchbox Drew the movie The Beach Okay, so, Raymond, that was your pick, right? That was your favorite movie of all time? Nope. So, Raymondo put it in a hat. Lunchbox drew the beach with Leo DiCaprio,
Starting point is 00:18:57 and it's now time for your movie review. So what it is, is Richard, who is Leonardo DiCaprio. He is tired of his life in America and he wants something different. So he travels to Bangkok looking for adventure, and he stays in this hotel, and he meets this crazy dudes like, there's this beach, it's paradise, and he gives them a... Is it a scary movie? this dude was like
Starting point is 00:19:19 whacked out of his mind so he kind of made it feel like it was scary because the hotel is real shady and like cockroaches everywhere and Leo looks terrified and it's like a map to some beach it's a paradise so Leo happens to knock on the door next to him
Starting point is 00:19:34 of the hotel and there's a guy and his girlfriend staying there and he's like let's go to this beach and they travel across the world you act like it's dumb is it dumb from the beginning it is dumb from the beginning so they get to one island
Starting point is 00:19:47 and the other island is miles away, but no one will take them to it. They're like, we'll just swim. So we have the greatest swimmers of all time in the middle of the ocean, no life jacket, no nothing, no boat, and they swim miles to this island, no problem, and they find the paradise.
Starting point is 00:20:03 But first they have to get by the drug lords who are on the island. Swimming, drug lords, a drunk captain. And they get to the beach and they're going to be all by themselves, but it's a whole community that lives there. But then Leo, gets in trouble because he had given the map to someone else.
Starting point is 00:20:19 It is absolutely garbage. Oh, it is? Terrible movie. I still don't even understand because Leo at one point gets kicked out of the community. Then he comes back to save the community. I don't even understand what I was watching. I have no idea. Well, the Rotten Tomatoes review was 20%.
Starting point is 00:20:37 Oh, I give it one sandcastle out of five. It was horrendous. 20%. Oh, so bad. Ramundo, that's your favorite movie? Yeah, I watched it when I was in middle school. It seemed a lot more adventurous when I watched it then. I still have seen it recently.
Starting point is 00:20:54 It's Leo. Were you surprised that DiCaprio isn't a bad movie? Yeah, he's really young in the movie, though. Real young. Are you sure you don't watch Gilbert Great? I'm pretty sure. Had he not done Titanic yet? I think he had done Titanic.
Starting point is 00:21:07 I think he had. And what's crazy is he's out in the water and he kills a shark with his bare hand. I mean, that's cool. Oh, I did that on Running Wild Bear Girls. I mean, guys, do not waste. your time, never watch the beach ever. Are you mad at Ray for making you watch it? Oh, yes. I'm sitting there going, really, this is the movie Ray page. You couldn't have made me laugh at one point. I mean, there is a couple of scenes
Starting point is 00:21:26 of a couple of hot chicks. That's awesome. But besides that, it is terrible. Okay, so the beach gets one sandcastle out of five. Oh, yeah. Because when you get to paradise, it's not all that it's built up to be. Here's the Bobby Bones Show podcast, highlight segment of the day. What happened was last week, all of us take basically our favorite movie. We put in a hat and then we had to draw out of them. And so I drew, and I went first, Sweet Home Alabama, and I gave it 2.5 out of five Alabama's. Then Eddie put in a movie called Life is Beautiful.
Starting point is 00:22:02 You watched it, Amy. Yes. And you reviewed it as... 3.5 Italians out of five. Because it is an Italian, and so they're subtitles. Lunchbox watched The Beach with Leo DiCaprio, and you gave it... One Sandcastle. out of five Sandcastle.
Starting point is 00:22:18 It's terrible. Terribly, terrible movie. Morgan number two, watch Man on the Moon. And I gave it 3.5 out of five Jim Carries. Okay. And so now let's go to Eddie. Eddie, you drew Amy's movie, which is Dirty Dancing. Yeah, I've heard about Dirty Dancing.
Starting point is 00:22:32 How could you not have heard it? I've watched it. I've always heard you can't put baby in a corner or whatever the quote is. Yeah. So I watched it. Guys, it is so good. No wonder it's a classic. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:45 Okay, first off, I love 80s. movies, they're just, they're fun, they're cheesy. The soundtrack to this movie is A plus. It's based in the 60s. So that alone is really cool. It's a love story bones. It has life lessons in it. People going through real problems, but love gets everyone out of it. And at the very end,
Starting point is 00:23:05 it just, you get what you've always wanted when you watch, when you start the movie, you're like, is this going to happen? Is this going to happen? The very end, it happens. Is that I've had the time of my life? To double it all to you. You. Yes. Literally, it's a clip from the movie.
Starting point is 00:23:31 That's why there was the screaming because it's the good part. So Eddie, what are you reviewing dirty dancing? I mean, I'm going to give it four and a half babies because that's her name, baby. Yeah. Four and a half babies out of five. I'm an idiot for not watching this 40 years ago whenever it came out. And what did you take away from the movie? Your main takeaway?
Starting point is 00:23:50 You know what? It reminded me a lot of bones you on Dancing with the Stars because, like, There's a whole part of the movie where she's learning how to dance. She's not a dancer. And Patrick Swayze is teaching her how to dance. And it's hard. And the whole time I'm thinking like, man, this is like bones on dancing with the stars. Did they compete?
Starting point is 00:24:06 Yeah, there's some. But what's the end? It's not a competition. It's a show at the end. They're on a summer camp. It's like a summer vacation place. For families. For families.
Starting point is 00:24:15 And there's a big event at the very end, a dance. And they have to train for it. And so she has, he has to train her. But she has no experience. And then they. But there's like underground dance happening. too because it's like dirty dancing. Yeah, it's dirty, of course.
Starting point is 00:24:27 And then they do do dance competitions. I will say that I thought there was going to be something like dirty, dirty, because it's called dirty dancing. But it's not really dirty. It's dirty for the 60s. And then when I was looking for this movie, there's a sequel to this or is a sequel. Dirty Dancing Havana Nights. I may watch that next week.
Starting point is 00:24:44 That was pretty recent. Yeah, it's not that great. It's not that great. Morgan number two, did you watch dirty dancing ever? Oh, yeah. And it's so good. Yes. Well, you give it 4.5 babies out of five.
Starting point is 00:24:53 Correct. Here's a fun fact. Eddie's movie that Amy watched, which is called Life is Beautiful. Yeah. Amy's husband went to that and took a date back in the day? 1997. Stop it. Okay.
Starting point is 00:25:05 So get this. So Amy's husband goes on a date to watch the movie she watched. And guess who his date was? Amy's sister. Oh. No wonder you did that movie. I know. So, like, my husband told me that.
Starting point is 00:25:18 So we called my sister to confirm. And she was like, oh, yeah. I mean, because my husband's like, I'll never forget it because I was kind of excited to, like, go to the movies. And then it was, and my sister picked the movie. And he's like, and then it was in subtitles. And I was like, what? Why are you just now telling me this? He's like, it's never come up.
Starting point is 00:25:37 And I was like, okay. So then we called my sister. And she's like, oh, yeah, it was such a great movie. I'm so glad I got to go see it. And then I was like, was it like, was it like a date? And my husband's like, I don't really remember. No. Did you ever mention that your husband dated your sister?
Starting point is 00:25:51 Yeah, a little bit. And then, and then... Did they ever kiss? No, they've never kissed. Amen. Amen. They haven't. That's the problem.
Starting point is 00:25:59 It never, my sister... That's the problem? Well, no. That's not a problem. But my, the problem with him trying to date her was my sister didn't realize that he, like, liked her. She just thought they were friends. And she liked his best friend who she's married to. So you're saying they never smooched.
Starting point is 00:26:17 They never smooched. And my, I got a DM on Instagram from my sister's husband, and my sister. And my sister's husband says, it was a date because I think he found out about it and was like kind of mad. And then my sister said,
Starting point is 00:26:29 yeah, it was a date to a movie with subtitles. It was good, though. And they never kissed. They never kissed. They would tell me. They would tell me. They didn't kiss.
Starting point is 00:26:37 He just told them to a movie. That was like entry level. Yeah, he never told you that before. Get him on the phone. No, he doesn't like it when we do that. Yeah, I don't think we're going. At this point, I wouldn't admit it
Starting point is 00:26:45 if I was either of them. Yeah, there's nothing to gain by it. There's nothing to be honest about. They're saying to lose. Like, come. Do we think they kiss one, two, three? Yes. Okay, so I'm going to be mad at my husband and my sister for kissing in 1997 when I was in high school. Can't control what the heart gets mad at. It would still be awkward then. I already know that my husband really liked her and she didn't like him back. So I'm like, I get that. Yes, I understand that. Second team. But I mean, I was young. Eddie, I was like 16. Hey, by the way. No, she got the boy. I got the man. And yesterday's draft, who is the young guy that you thought was hot but too young?
Starting point is 00:27:19 I couldn't even like Google his name because he was like so young. I was trying to look him up yesterday. One of the Zach Cody kids? So there is somebody I've seen. I still can't find him. I got to maybe ask Dashira. Oh my gosh. It's like a 15-year-old YouTuber?
Starting point is 00:27:33 What is going on? He plays younger, younger characters than he is. I know that he's older. But then also there's Sean Mendez. Old enough, 21, 22. I still feel it's weird to me. But legal. Is it the young Sheldon kid?
Starting point is 00:27:48 No. The Bobby Bones show. Big three stories. Let's go over to our producer, Ramundo. Ramundo, what you got over there? The first pictures of Motorola's retro foldable razor phone have been leaked online a month before the device is set to be unveiled. In other news, the government announced vaping has killed 37 Americans.
Starting point is 00:28:09 The number of lung illnesses from the e-cigarettes has risen to 1900. And finally, most of the country was hit by an Arctic blast. Most places say temps drop 10 to 15 degrees. The Bobby Bones show. Now, time to put our judging caps on. You probably remember we ran the general jingle remix contest last month, and you guys had a chance to submit videos of your creative spin of the general insurance jingle. I'm going to plan back for you.
Starting point is 00:28:36 We're going to pick a winner right now. So there are four left, and the winner. We're actually looking up with the big trip. And so we're down to the final four. We had eight. Now we're down to four. And if they win, we're going to pick the winner right here in the studio. Sweet.
Starting point is 00:28:47 So I need you all to, you've heard them before, but dial in, okay? Okay. If they win, if we picked them, they went a three-day, two-night trip to come to see Eddie and myself, The Raging Idiots in Las Vegas. They're paying for the whole thing. Airfare for two, two nights hotel, two tickets to the concert. They're going to get to come hang out with Eddie and I before the show. Are you ready to hear the first one? This is Brad, who is playing it on a banjo.
Starting point is 00:29:09 Go ahead. For a great hoary, you can get on a place. You have to like the banjo, right? Okay. That's awesome. That's Brad. Write that one down. That's Brad.
Starting point is 00:29:23 Okay, here's Dorothy with a trumpet. I'd go to the general and save some time. Okay. So you have Brad with a banjo. Dorothy with a trumpet. Okay? Everybody in. Although it'd be hard to sing with the trumpet.
Starting point is 00:29:55 Yeah? Do both. Say and sing. Got it. Okay. Here is Brianne, who is singing in between cars. I was watching the video It's almost like the car's hit
Starting point is 00:30:04 Like there's an accident For part of the video And then she's singing here Go ahead For a great low rate You can get on the line Go to the general And save some time
Starting point is 00:30:14 I said go to the general Go to the general Go to the general Go to the general And save some time Pretty good singer Yeah I'd stick her on Idol
Starting point is 00:30:24 And be like Hey sing in front of the judges Pretty good huh Yeah And then finally This is the last one This is Warren and Warren looks
Starting point is 00:30:32 like a, he's in like a cat and got big beard older guy. Is he older? Yeah. Yeah. Okay. He's got sunglasses on. Here you go. For a grade low raise that's all right. That's really good too. That's so good. At first I was like,
Starting point is 00:31:15 and once he started going, I was like, wow, it's good. I think we all can universally eliminate just the girl's singing without the instrument, right? without anything? Yes. Good voice. Which has a great voice. Yes.
Starting point is 00:31:26 Maybe the best singer. Mm-hmm. And hers was so visual, too. She was in between like two cars that hit each other. So I think we eliminate Breanne singing between cars. Which puts us at Brad the banjo, Dorothy the trumpet, and Warren with the background. There are five of us on the panel. Morgan number two, what do you think?
Starting point is 00:31:46 What is your favor of those? I'm between Warren and Dorothy because they're unique. So trumpet and bunk. Yeah. I think I have to go with Warren. Okay. Warren. Yep. Eddie, I'm over to you now. I'm between Warren because it's an original tune. I like it. It's like nothing we've heard. But I also like Brad the banjo player.
Starting point is 00:32:07 The banjo sounds really good. So I want to go with Brad. Oh, we got a banjo in there. Banjo Brad. Wow. Okay, lunchbox. I thought the trumpet was the best. I thought the trumpet sounded cool. You don't really hear a trumpet very often. so I went with Dorothy. Wow, we got all three different ones.
Starting point is 00:32:26 Amy, just me and you left. Yeah. Go ahead. Well, they are all so good, but I just, everything in me says I'm going with Warren. Oh. Yep.
Starting point is 00:32:36 I'm going to eliminate the banjo. Okay. And I'm going to go with Dorothy, the trumpet. Oh. So what? Wait. So we have a tie.
Starting point is 00:32:47 Right. It's like a special election where there are seven people and two people are so close you have to read. So, okay, we have two options. Dorothy the trumpet and Warren the pooh-sut-to-to-pun. Play me Dorothy the trumpet, Raymondo, just a little bit. All right.
Starting point is 00:33:09 Nails both of that. Now, play me a little bit of Warren, the singer. Okay, you have those two to pick from. Morgan number two? I'm sticking with my guy, Warren. Okay, one vote for Warren. Eddie? I mean, that song just sticks to me now.
Starting point is 00:33:28 I mean, it's a hit. Like Warren came up with a great original tune. I want to go to Warren. Lushbox? My girl, Dorothy, you got my vote last round. You get it again, Dorothy. Come on. I'm going to go with Dorothy again.
Starting point is 00:33:41 Amy, it comes to you. Come on, Amy. You can bet your bottom dollar. Yeah, Warren. Okay, there's our winner. Warren, play the winner's song. You're going to rain, low, rate. You can get online.
Starting point is 00:33:54 Go to the general and say sometime. Bet your bottom dollar, it'll blow your mind. We got your cover. All right, we'll call him coming out. That's awesome. Congratulations to Warren. Look at that guy. Yes, Bobby Bones.
Starting point is 00:34:13 All right, on the phone right now is Warren. Warren, good morning. How's it going, dude? Oh, not too bad. Not too bad. Just getting up and trying to have this coffee this morning. Yeah, where do you live? Arizona, and it's cold.
Starting point is 00:34:31 Ain't that something So I got to tell you, Warren, we were listening to your video that you sent in for the general The jingle remix contest. You familiar with that? Yes, yes. I'm going to play it again real quick
Starting point is 00:34:45 for those that haven't heard it. This is one of our finalists. This is a Warren. Or a ray, low ray, you can get on life sometime. Vent your bottom dollar, it'll blow your mind. We got you covered in you
Starting point is 00:35:03 in a bind. So Warren, you made that beat yourself? You just put that in the background? What happened there? Yes, I made the beat. Actually, I just started making beats, and I made that beat just for the jingle remix contest. Well, I got to tell you,
Starting point is 00:35:21 you didn't finish top three. Okay. You finished number one. There he is. Yeah. You won, dude. Oh, man, that's awesome. That is, oh my God.
Starting point is 00:35:35 I don't even know what to say yet. And it's early, too. Okay, so let me tell you what you want. You get a three-day, two-night trip for you and a guest to come to Las Vegas. They're going to fly you. Two-Nights Hotel. We're going to bring you out to Eddie and my show in Vegas at this awesome theater. Me and Green, we're going to get to meet you.
Starting point is 00:35:51 It's a whole deal, dude. So, by the way, you're a really good singer. Where do you sing? Thank you. Thank you. You know, I've really been singing all my life. and I lost my son to suicide in 2013. And the night before he passed, you know,
Starting point is 00:36:11 he revealed to me that he was my, he was my biggest fan. And he told me, Dad, you know, you should never, never stop doing music. You could change the world with your music. And the next day he was gone, and I haven't stopped doing music since. You know, I just, it's a love of mine. It's a tribute to him. And I mean, it's not, everybody's wanted to make it business. But for me, it's just been hard to make it business because it's so personal now.
Starting point is 00:36:45 But it's something I do every day. And I just love to, I really just love to make music and give myself and others that, you know, that rock with me, good music to listen to. Well, it was actually, in your video submission, It was really good. And so, yeah, like I said, even you're singing all of it. Just came together. And you are the Grand Prize winner. So congratulations.
Starting point is 00:37:10 And can't wait to meet you in a couple weeks in Vegas. Awesome. Thank you so much. I'm excited. I'm very excited. All right. Have your coffee. I know my son's got to be happy.
Starting point is 00:37:21 That's awesome. I'm excited. I have your coffee and I'll put you on hold for a second. And we'll see in a couple weeks. All right. Thank you so much. All right. There he is.
Starting point is 00:37:30 I'm wearing Warren. That's a dude right there. There he is. That's good. Oh, that's special. Starting point is 00:41:11 Bobby Bonson. The latest from Nashville and Hollywood. Morgan No. 2's 32nd Skinny. Brad Paisley is getting his own ABC special. It's called Brad Paisley thinks he's special and it's set to air December 3rd. The special will feature guest appearances from Carrie Underwood, Jonas Brothers, Tim McGraw, Darius Rucker, Kelsey Ballerini, and Moore. Kane Brown just welcomed his baby girl into the world,
Starting point is 00:41:35 and now he's sharing the song, For My Daughter. Miranda Lambert has a new album out today called Wild Card, and Hootie and the Blowfish also have a new album out today called In Perfect Circle. I'm Morgan number two. That's Your Skinny. It's time for the good news. With Bobby. With last night being Halloween and everybody's got candy right now, Dr. Dan Carmichael decided to be fun for the kids to be able to give back some of that candy.
Starting point is 00:42:20 And so what he's doing for a few days in November, his practice rewards its patience for handing over. It's kind of like a candy buy-in, like a re-buy. He'll pay them one buck, one dollar, for a pound of excess candy after five pounds. But then it's not just about the teeth. They send it over to the troops. Oh yeah. Overseas. Love that.
Starting point is 00:42:40 Isn't that pretty cool? The group collects about 400,000 pounds of candy each year between that dentist and some other dentists that all do this, and they send it over to the troops. The candy also goes to some local first responders as well. Love it. So kids can make money, then get rid of some of that candy,
Starting point is 00:42:55 probably rotting their faces out, and then the troops and first responders get candy. So let me shout out to Dr. Dan Carmichael. I thought that was a great story. So I wanted to share it with you, and there's a website. It's called Operation Gratitude, which is Operationgratitude.
Starting point is 00:43:08 You can type in your address. And if you want to take part to something like this with the candy, they have all the things listed there. Oh, that's so cool. Operationgratitude.com and drop it off to the location closest to you. That's what it's all about.
Starting point is 00:43:18 That was Tell Me Something Good. Bobid Bones Show. Bonehead. Norrie of the day. This story comes to us from Lincoln, Nebraska. A man walked into a bank and said, hey, I'd like to open a checking account. They're like, yeah, just make an original deposit.
Starting point is 00:43:32 We can do that. And he pulled out the old million dollar bill. Oh, yeah. It's my dream to have a million dollar bill. The old fake million dollar bill. Oh, oh, whoa. He had printed in his whole computer and thought they would fall for it. And he tried to get a little cash back and they called police.
Starting point is 00:43:49 And, yeah. You have to think when someone hands you a million dollar bill that they're kidding at first, not trying to commit some sort of fraud. Right. Like you have to go, ha, ha, ha, ha. And when they don't laugh back, there's a second where you go, is he kidding or not? And then when he's not, you have to call the cops.
Starting point is 00:44:05 There you go. I'm Lunchbox. That's your Bonehead Story the Day. Here's Amy's pile of stories. Fun fact Friday. So if you're tired at work today because of Halloween last night, fun fact, next year, it's going to be on Saturday. Oh, good. So it won't continue to be an issue.
Starting point is 00:44:24 I mean, it should be on Friday. Then on Saturday. We'd have two in a row. I know, but we're skipping that. I don't know if it's because of, what is that? Well, you know what I think is that Halloween should be the last Friday of October. It's not. unprecedented. Thanksgiving's the last Thursday of November. They have moved presidents day to celebrate
Starting point is 00:44:43 a bunch of presidents at once. And you can say, what about Christmas? It falls differently. We're off work anyway. We've got to come in dragon butt today because everybody was out with kids or having people trick-a-treat late at night. Halloween, it just isn't that special of a holiday to demand it gets its own day and never moves. When I run for office, no more daylight savings. And Halloween's the last day of, last Friday of the month. The month. Yeah. So next year, it won't be an issue. All right, go ahead. So Garth Brooks met his first wife, Sandy, when he was working as a bouncer, and he had to throw her out of a bar for being unruly. That's how they met.
Starting point is 00:45:19 I wonder if that was just Garth's move, man. Oh, maybe. I'm going to have to throw you out. And I'm going to have to take you home. You're unruly. I'm going to have to get you out here and sing your love song. I'm going to have to calm you down. What else? So the Backstreet Boys, they were named after an outdoor flea market in Orlando, Florida, called the Backstreet Market where teenagers used to hang out
Starting point is 00:45:39 in the 80s and 90s called the back street boys. I never knew that. Give me another one. So Chris Rock was offered the part of George on Seinfeld, but he turned it down. It was then offered to Danny DeVito, turned it down, and then Jason Alexander
Starting point is 00:45:53 sent in his audition tape, reading a few lines of the script, and then a few weeks later, he got the call back. Almost every major part to every major person was turned down by somebody. Which is you never have to be the first one picked. You just got to be there when someone doesn't take it.
Starting point is 00:46:06 This show on the surface before it actually got to the point it is now was offered to somebody else. There was a whole dramatic thing where it's like, I don't know. The Bobby Bone Show, this show. Well, it wasn't called the Bobby Bone Show, but the show that we're on now. Gotcha. The head of the company at the time was like, we should bring in two Nashville songwriters. They'd never done radio. It's like that.
Starting point is 00:46:24 And then a couple people were like, uh, can't do it. Then I didn't even know. And then it was like, all right, let's go get Bobby. Wow. Then here I came off the streets. The rest is history. The rest is well. What else?
Starting point is 00:46:37 Okay, so a little fun fact will end on for all the police officers listening right now because maybe they don't know why they wear blue. And the reason is that after the Civil War, there was a surplus of blue army uniforms, which were repurposed for the police departments and the color stuck. So that's why they're the men in blue. Didn't know that. Yeah. That's pretty fun.
Starting point is 00:46:56 All right, give me a story. So if you're all dressed up and know where to go, well, Lyft is doing this feature that lets you choose from popular destinations of other riders nearby. So let's say you want to go out somewhere, but you're like, hey, what's a trending destination? Lift roulette? I don't really know where I want to go. You just get in and go, well, yeah, it's called trending destination, and you can explore
Starting point is 00:47:20 your city by choosing from a list of popular drop-off spots, and this all comes from other riders. They're considered points of interest, so you can. You flick it, well, it looks like we're going to a meth house. Oh, I guess that's fun. I mean, a lot of people have been here. It must be something cool. All right, what else?
Starting point is 00:47:36 They're rolling it out in certain cities, so it might not be happening yet, but it could be coming near you. Kim Kardashian has sued a photo editing app for $10 million for using one of her Instagram picks as it's advertising without paying her. And then she blasted the company for claiming that it didn't know the picture was of her. Does any company not know if it's Kim Kardashian? No, but you can claim that.
Starting point is 00:47:59 And you can also just go bankrupt. I can lose. Boom. Yeah. It weighs out. Yeah. You know, a lot of celebrities are getting in trouble now for using pictures of themselves on Instagram that somebody else took as a paparazzi. Unless you own the image, you can't post it. Even if it's themselves. Even if it's a view, it doesn't matter.
Starting point is 00:48:16 Wow. Really? Yeah. Yeah, yeah, without. That's crazy. Having permission. Mm-hmm. So yeah. Well, I would be like, whoa, I was the one walking across the street. Does he have my permission to take my picture? Public space. Doesn't matter. Wow. Isn't that crazy? I did not know that. I think two coming up in the next couple weeks we'll get Bear Girls on.
Starting point is 00:48:35 Oh, that would be cool. I want to see what you were really like. What do you mean? What do you mean? Well, I, you know, I've got to see the episode back. My episode of Running Wild with Bear Girls. Yeah. And now I'll let him reveal where we went because I don't feel like I can legally set legally.
Starting point is 00:48:49 Like, I'm going to go to jail. I don't feel like I can say yet. But the show debuts in the next couple weeks on Nat Geo. Can you pull up the date so I know exactly what it is? And so, and then Disney Plus, the streaming service that's opening. is going to be up there. My episode comes on in January. But yeah, I think I'm going to get him on. I'm pretty pumped to have it. I haven't really talked to him except direct messages
Starting point is 00:49:07 since then. But he's in all parts of the world so it's always, because sometimes I just want to like talk to him. But I'm afraid to wake him up. You guys clicked. Yeah, you'll have like a special bond. How do you know though? I just feel like, well, for you, for him, he does this kind of thing all the time. But if it was like for me going on something like that,
Starting point is 00:49:23 I feel like no matter who it was, you just have this everlasting bond with that person. The coolest thing. So Beargirls is from the UK and he was a special forces guy. And so now he does these survival shows and he's a really famous guy. And I got to go on that show and it airs in January.
Starting point is 00:49:38 The cool thing was when I was talking to him is that he goes all over the world and he does in like four or five different countries too. And nobody's famous to him because he doesn't know who anybody is. So it's all just ran. To him, it's just random people and see if he gets along with him.
Starting point is 00:49:53 So there's really not a lot of fame to the people that he's meeting because he doesn't really know who they are anyway. Interesting. So when the people get matched up with them And he takes them out Most people have no idea You're just a person
Starting point is 00:50:04 He said he's a big tennis fan So when he did Roger Federer He knew who Roger Federer was But he was like Bob they got to be honest Never heard of you So November 5th is when the show starts
Starting point is 00:50:17 So I guess four days from now So next week So anyway we'll try to get them on Hopefully he watches it I have an episode coming up Eddie got to see it said it was good Yeah I loved it All right there you go
Starting point is 00:50:25 That was Amy's pile of stories It's time for the good news With lunchbox Joe Rooney is a high school teacher and he's going to be participating in the New York City Marathon this Sunday but he's also going to be pushing a former student One of the students he would see in the hallway say hi Never taught him
Starting point is 00:50:47 But then that student got paralyzed in a hockey game And they struck up a friendship, they stayed in touch And he was like, hey, what do you think about running the New York City Marathon with me? So he's going to push him in a wheelchair for the whole race That's really cool. Yeah, that's really cool. That's what's about right there. That was Tell Me Something Good.
Starting point is 00:51:06 Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby Bones. Let's go. Transmit. All right, Halloween's over, so I guess we're now to the Thanksgiving jokes. Mm-hmm. All right, morning corny time. Here we go.
Starting point is 00:51:25 A morning corny. Why did the police arrest the turkey? Why did the police arrest the turkey? They suspected foul play. Oh, you like that one? All right. That was the morning corny. The Bobby Bone Show is proud to be supported by Grand Canyon University,

Starting point is 00:55:09 with the help of American Military University. That's AMU. APUS. Dot E-DU slash military. The Friday morning conversation with Miranda Lambert. How are you? Hi, good. Are you good?
Starting point is 00:55:25 I'm like halfway through my coffee. Not all the way awake. That's a Buckees coffee cup. I love it. love Bucky's. It's like a mall. It's like the greatest gas station mall ever. It's like my happiest place. I like go in one door and go out the other door because there's like there's like 120 gas pumps at those things. Yeah. And it's a Texas, is it a Texas thing? Is it only in Texas? Because I know them from Texas being in Texas.
Starting point is 00:55:49 Yeah. And like there's like the closest one in my house is still like 30 minutes for my parents. And I'll like go out of my way when I go. They have a jerky bar. They do. And depending on where you go, because I'll travel around a lot too, sheets is a big one. Nationally, everyone has their big chain that they are just so passionate about. But Buckys is the best. Buckies is the best. I feel that
Starting point is 00:56:12 way too. Have you ever had a buggy nugget? I have. Yes. They're good. I mean, you're talking to a lot of Texas people here. I mean, I'm so happy that... The cleanest bathrooms. Oh, yeah. And a jerky bar. Again, I'm a safe. Right. How you been? You've been good? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:27 It's been a little bit since we've seen you. I was thinking about the other day because so my dog now I was laying on the couch and he comes and he sneezes in my mouth and I sleep a little sloppy and my mouth's open like and he sneezes in my mouth and I have every since then felt like I was getting some sort of like a lot of times or just once but real hard like all of it went in my mouth and so I've been really concerned that I've got to get like dog sick I don't know have you ever from all of your dogs been around have you ever got sick from a dog No, but they've had the flu before. But can you, did you get it?
Starting point is 00:57:05 I don't think so. I'm pickled, though, so. I wouldn't know. Do you think you get sick all the time or no? Because I do. No. You don't. And I refuse, even if I am like, I'm like, I'm fine, everything's great, let's go on the road.
Starting point is 00:57:17 You can't call in sick on my job. Like, I can't, that's canceling a whole show. Like, will you? I try not to, I try to avoid sickness at all costs. Will you take the steroid shot if you have to before you go on? I've had it, like, I do pills, but. Yeah, a lot. I started this tour with steroids. Just sometimes you have to.
Starting point is 00:57:34 There have been times where I don't have a voice and I have to go do comedy and it's like there's nothing you can do except, boom, but that stuff does help. But it's like false confidence and then... On the backside, it sucks. Yeah, it's bad. That and an Ivy. Do you travel around with the nurse or anything with you? No, but I do in the summer sometimes get like the local paramedics to give me IVs. That helps a lot, actually. I'm a believer in them.
Starting point is 00:57:55 Yeah, and the B12 shot. I'm a believer in that too. Well, you're here because the new record, out today. I got a bunch of these tracks. So why don't we start with White Trash? Tell me about this one before I play it. I think it's a little bit autobiographical. I read it with Natalie, him being Luke Dick,
Starting point is 00:58:16 and they had started it in, Laura Veltz, and I kind of came in on the last half of it, but just train it in my barbed wire now. I got an ice picket. I was in. I was like, yes, I like that. So it's funny. I mean, it's funny. It's funny. to making fun of yourself. Everybody's got a little...
Starting point is 00:58:32 I come from like a tiny town in East Texas, so I have a little white trash show here and there. Here's a white trash from Miranda. So if they come in with a song, you say partially written. Like we have an idea for a song. When that is pitched to you, do a lot of people come up with these songs kind of already written,
Starting point is 00:59:08 or at least part of them, going, hey, do you like this idea? I think sometimes that happens, but I think this one was just already going, and I came in to write just for the day and they were like, oh, but this one, we just wanted to play this for you and see. Of course I was in. But Luke's good about that. Luke Diggle, like, he's always kind of prepared.
Starting point is 00:59:27 I walk in with literally a blank notebook and a pencil. I'm like, here's my ideas for the day. I have like a title, a running title note in my phone, but especially if I'm writing with, like, people I really love and trust. I kind of don't want to walk in with my ideas all the time. I kind of want to walk it open. And Luke's always a little more prepared than everybody else. He'll be like, I have a few halfies if you want to hear him.
Starting point is 00:59:49 And he kind of knows me. Like he, same thing happened with Pretty Bichin on the record with John Randall and Luke. I mean, he texted me like lyrics of the first verse. And of course, like a catfish on a hook. I'm like, yes. So which songwriters have like the connection to go that you trust so much to go? I either have a song that you're going to love or I have an idea that you're going to love and they can hit you personally?
Starting point is 01:00:12 Natalie and Luke are two of those. and Shane McAnally. I didn't write with him for this record because he's busy and doing awesome things in Hollywood, but I definitely have been like lured in by some of his ideas or he'll be like, hey, here's one. Like Highway Vagabine was one of those.
Starting point is 01:00:32 But that's Luke, Natalie, and Shane. So those three know how to get me. Definitely. So with a lot of these songwriters, like how far out do they have to book a right with you because schedules with your touring, obviously, and you're doing promotion, so it's not like you have a bunch of days,
Starting point is 01:00:50 like a whole month to write. Like, they have to hop on three, four months out? Well, when I was writing for this one, I was off the road, so it was a lot more flexible. It was like, hey, we're over here tomorrow at 2, we want to come. Yeah, and that's the beauty of Nashville. Like, everybody's kind of hanging out in town doing their thing,
Starting point is 01:01:08 and even if they have a ride that morning, they're still feeling it. They're like, hey, you want to come over tonight and do a night right? And, but yeah, when you're on the road, I don't really ride on the road anymore. It's a lot. You know, I used to. I used to have to because I was on the road all the time. But it's two different sides of my brain, like two different parts of the business, I feel like.
Starting point is 01:01:27 I was watching you, I think on Instagram a couple weeks ago. And, you know, I guess my question is, why do you have a beep with beach ball so much? Because your eyes, I hate them. I know. They get so angry. Because, first of all, like, the last time I had a problem with the beach ball was in Pennsylvania, at the Allentown State Fair. And I was like, well, there's no beach close to here.
Starting point is 01:01:48 Like, not even a grain of sand. And I'll be doing, I was literally starting over you. And here comes a beach ball flying at my face. And then the whole crowd's looking at the beach ball and it's during like a heartfelt ballot. And where it started was on the Kenny Chessney Tour in 2009. Because I was doing more like her, which is like, again, like a deep, whatever. I was sitting on a stool on the stage. and a beach ball.
Starting point is 01:02:14 Someone, like, did a volleyball spike, like, with this giant ball, and it hit the mic and hit my lip and busted my lip, and I was bleeding. And I was like, I'm done. So I started carrying a knife on stage on the drum riser. So now I have, like, a pink little razor blade just in case. Do you feel, though, that sometimes they do this now because they want the treat of having Miranda pop their beach ball? No, because then they're, like, you're so violent,
Starting point is 01:02:36 and you're not any fun, and I wish you wouldn't be so a buzzkill. I'm like, but I don't have a song about anything about water. Like not even a steel drum anywhere. So I don't understand. It's just weird. I don't like it. I'm also amazed that your people don't shut the beach ball down for you. And they may be doing it now more so than you don't even know.
Starting point is 01:02:57 They are. They try. But there's always one that sneaks through, which it's fun for me. I get to take out a little rage, but people think it's rude. Miranda Lambert's here. She has a new record out today. I'm going to play a little bit of. This is the one we've been playing a little bit.
Starting point is 01:03:12 It all comes out in the wash. Let me play some of this story. Congrats on this song, by the way. It's doing wonderful. Thank you. It's really nice to have a song on the radio. It truly is. Whenever you put a song out,
Starting point is 01:03:34 do you keep up with it, or do you just kind of let it go and just whatever happens? I don't keep up with it because it's too much of a gamble with me. I've just had a somewhat tumultuous relationship over the years of Country Radio, and I don't know why.
Starting point is 01:03:50 why that was, but sometimes it's great, and I have like a single that works, and then sometimes I don't get played at all, but I can tell you this, that being on tour right now, and seeing, as soon as we start the first look of this song, seeing people start singing, or dancing around like they know it, it's so helpful. It's like, it's really refreshing.
Starting point is 01:04:11 It's like you're in their household, in their cars, and you feel that energy back. So I'm really glad to have something working right now. Whenever you started a live show, which is interesting to me, do you put together your set list? Are you the one that goes, okay, this is what are we're going to do this stuff? I do. Am I being leader because of guitar changes?
Starting point is 01:04:31 Oh, like key changes and you don't want to... Well, yeah, and like switches. Oh, even literal guitars, yeah, I guess you're right. Well, yeah, because you got to, the players have to change guitars, sometimes change instruments. So I have, like, little spaces where I plan on talking. I know there's like a bunch of changes going on. Do you have a mic that you can go to specifically and talk to the band
Starting point is 01:04:49 where no one else can hear it. Yes. And what do you say to them? I think a lot of us watch and go, what are they saying? We didn't get to see that conversation. Like, what will you walk to that mic and say? It's for, like, if you can't hear or something,
Starting point is 01:05:01 like, last weekend, my guitar player split his finger open right in the middle of the solo. So he's like, can someone go get me a band-aid? It's really kind of nerdy stuff, usually. Sometimes it's stuff that's not for public to hear. Do you ever... We like say inside jokes and stuff. Okay.
Starting point is 01:05:17 Do you ever scold them, though? That's a terrible solo. I just go My silence is the worst They hate it Oh my gosh That's like Bobby
Starting point is 01:05:27 They hate it What are you trying to say Amy I tell you Like you know The silence is a message Enough That says enough It says it all
Starting point is 01:05:35 And you're like It's like the mom It's like the talking And church mom look Like after this show You are all getting it Yeah Like
Starting point is 01:05:41 Will you ever sit them down And go over a show Good or bad Like game tape them No You know Darks used to do that when I first started on tour the first time
Starting point is 01:05:51 with him. And it scared me to death. I mean, he would sit there and analyze his whole band, and I would rather do anything in the world than watch myself on television. Especially, like, a show tape with show sound, like, not mixed pretty, not lit pretty. Like, I'm not doing it.
Starting point is 01:06:08 They know if they sucked or not. I know if I suck. Sometimes I do, and wait you off. Sorry, I suck today. You know, the crowd really doesn't know that much is a thing, because I'll go out and do it. If I do a thing and I'm like, man, I just felt terrible. And look at the comments and they're like, hey, good show. And I feel, do you feel like at times the crowd can tell if you're not feeling it or not? Yeah, I do. But I also,
Starting point is 01:06:30 I just take it really to heart because I feel very obligated to the best I can do. Even if the best I can do that day is 80%, like you're sick or something's going on your life. I mean, I had a stretch there where there was a lot going on my life and it was reflecting my shows, but at least I was honest about it. I was like, y'all just having a bad day today. But I feel like they spend so much money and time and going to like an event is not easy. I mean you have to plan it for a long time, get a babysitter, spend the money on the tickets and the dinner and the Uber and waiting lines and it's a lot. So I'm like, at least I can do is get up here and like really deliver as best I can. You ever say the wrong city? I've never said the wrong city. You keep
Starting point is 01:07:09 written down in front of you? This would. It's kind of like a fake. Okay, I'll knock on that then. You keep it written down in front of you though just in case? Yes, it's big like on my set list. it's in big, bold caps, because I'm terrified. Because one time I was in, it was back when I was just learning my chops or whatever, and I played in Maryland. And it was like this little fair.
Starting point is 01:07:34 And I said something about Yankees, and that's below the Mason Dixon. And so I was basically booed off the stage. I was like, okay, so I'm really careful about, and I don't say sports teams, because if you say a sport. They'll start cheering, yelling at each of, other. Well, they won't stop. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:07:50 They'll do the chance. If you're about to start a song, you're trying to have to wait so they're done with their whatever. And if it's like a city on the line with two teams, forget it. You can't go into Alabama. It's over. And mention Auburn or Alabama. Or they'll just yell roll tight and where you go the whole time. I know. I just like, yay, sports ball. Glad to be into sports arena.
Starting point is 01:08:12 Miranda Lambert's record wild card is out today. Here is some of Bluebird, written by Miranda, Luke Dick, and Natalie Hemby. Talk to me about that one for a second. I love this song. It's so different than anything I've ever written. Luke had the idea. He had texted me like, these lines really hit me.
Starting point is 01:08:55 I read them in an old poem I found, and we should write to this. I don't know, I think it's really, it's kind of got a dark vibe, but it's hopeful. You know, I think there's a lot of that in this record. There's not a lot of darkness, which is great. There's a lot of like, people ask me, what's your overall goal for people to take away from this record? And I'm like, it truly is all comes out in the wash, basically.
Starting point is 01:09:18 It's like an over-tone, you know? Because sometimes we think the sky's falling, but then we realize it's fine when we're on the back end. I feel like there's a lot of that in this record. I was looking at the track listing. I like to see which writers, you know, wrote which songs. But you're on every song. You read every song. Every song.
Starting point is 01:09:35 Yeah, is that important to you? This is the first one in a while that I've written every song actually I think the last time I wrote every song was on the first record Kerosene forever ago I don't Did you set out to write every song? No I really really honed in on my songwriting skill
Starting point is 01:09:53 during the weight of these wings that whole couple of years when I was writing for that and so I enjoy writing I mean that's one of my favorite things about this whole business but I also would rob myself of some of my career songs if I was like, I write everything I could. I would have a house that built me. I wouldn't have mom's broken heart or a little red wagon.
Starting point is 01:10:15 So I'm like I just made the best song win. You know, if I get my hands on an amazing song, I'm so thankful. I don't care if I wrote it or not. And usually the ones that I get like that, I'm like, oh, man, I wish I would have thought of that, you know. The House to Build Me was named song in the decade by the ACMs in September. So congratulations on that.
Starting point is 01:10:33 Thank you. It's such a great. great song. So what is the real story? We've heard so many stories about how that song was found. How did you, how did they get that song to you? I heard that song on a demo. Back in the day, they would send you like a CD. It was like 12 songs on it. You just listened through. And I was driving him from Dallas and it came on. And it was a piano vocal with, I think Tom was was singing at Tom Douglas. And the lyrics just hit me. I could pull over and started crying. I was like, what is? It's like somebody just wrote my life.
Starting point is 01:11:04 But that's the magic of that song because that's how everybody feels when they hear it. Or they feel like they didn't have that house, you know? But, and I just remember thinking, like, this song is so me. And, I mean, it turned out to be one of the biggest, I mean, the biggest kind of a turning point in my career. And it was a single and no drums, which was also. And a ballad from a girl. So had a lot of, like, special moments for me with that song. Would you ever do a show and not play that song?
Starting point is 01:11:33 No. Where do you play it in your set list? About in the middle. I have like a little section where I do like, like all kinds of kinds, start coming down and then do like house,
Starting point is 01:11:42 maybe 10-man acoustic or, um, I always kind of have a little section of like, okay, now we're going to reflect. What do you close the show with right now? Right now,
Starting point is 01:11:53 I close it with, fooled around and fell in love because I'm on tour with all the girls. Um, but my last song, it's like I'm doing my own show with no, no plan is,
Starting point is 01:12:03 Usually, red wagon gunpowder, a wildire. Those are kind of my switch out between those. Otherwise, people leave after those. I've got to save some for the end. Miranda Lambert's here. Her new record, Wildcard is out today. Let's play a little bit of Fire Escape. Miranda Lambert, Hillary Lindsay,
Starting point is 01:12:21 Lauren McKinney, and Liz Rose all wrote this one. Here we go. Tell me about that one. Well, I've been hanging out in New York some more than I ever was because I got married to a New Yorker. And I didn't obviously grow up with fire escapes. I mean, I grew up with a porch, you know what I mean? But, like, there's something magical about, like, being right in the middle of the city,
Starting point is 01:13:00 New York City, and standing on the fire escape and just, like, hearing all the sights and sounds and the energy of the city, but you're kind of above it. I don't know. It seemed like a magical. I kind of got obsessed with it for a while because it was new to me. And so the girls came, the love junkies all came to Nashville to write, and we had the windows open the apartment and you could just hear all kinds of stuff, literally bar bands and sirens and people talking and bottles. And, you know, I think that city is so full of art if you're
Starting point is 01:13:30 open to creativity and you just kind of want to soak it in. I love that song. I actually haven't heard it a long time. That was the first time I heard it a while. How much are you splitting your time now between New York and Tennessee? We're in, well, we're on the road and in Tennessee a lot more now because my husband took a leave from the police department for a year, but I'm going back to do press and I'm there like once a month and I love it. I mean, four days.
Starting point is 01:13:54 I love it. And then I'm like, okay, bye. I need some trees and stuff. Because your husband's a cop, do you get to like run people's plates that rear-end you and stuff? He doesn't let me take advantage of fun stuff. No background checks.
Starting point is 01:14:07 No. And that would be so cool. I know. My parents are private investigators. So I still have my mom on the line. Oh, then you can already do all that stuff. My dad was a cop too, so I kind of like already have
Starting point is 01:14:17 that whole. You got that covered. Yeah. If there was a musical written about your life, what would it be called? Oh, God. Think about that. Probably be called, oh, God. No, I'd probably say, I don't know, always say if I, when I die, I want the little hashtag to be.
Starting point is 01:14:33 That was weird. So probably that was weird. It'll go hashtag, that was weird. That's the whole name of it. What are you doing outside of music? You talk about writing, but what do you doing outside of music to creatively that kind of fulfills you? I need to find I usually find a craft here and there
Starting point is 01:14:49 that I like last year I was making dream catchers I pickle I'm making dream catchers I make dream catchers I do pickle I love to can But what do you what do you pickle? We have a huge garden at the farm And so this year we had like
Starting point is 01:15:01 So many zucchini's And I didn't really know To do with them And I read on Pinterest The whole of Pinterest That you can like wake You look up for three hours You've been staring at Pinterest recipes
Starting point is 01:15:13 But there's a thing called zucchini pickles. So I made some, but they're still pigling themselves. I don't know if they're good. Yeah, that takes a while. My grandma used to pickle stuff and I'd be like, I can't wait. It's a two-day ordeal and then you've got to wait two months. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:15:26 Until they're good. And then I'm nervous to like actually eat it because I feel like what if I didn't seal it right or something went wrong and then I'd take it out and then I'm sick. You can too? No. I just dream about it. Oh. It's a lot.
Starting point is 01:15:39 Right. Like it's in my mind. I'm like this would be so cute. You have to be dedicated. Like last year everyone for Christmas got. homemade pickles. I was making bass salts with like oils. I don't know. Just always trying to, I got to be doing something. And even if it's something that doesn't matter, like pickling, it's doing something. What's your house like with all the animals? Like, describe to me what,
Starting point is 01:15:58 if I walk in the front door, like explain that to me. Well, there's a greeting squad. They like come and greet you. Hi, like tails wagon. How many's in the squad? Well, there's, there's not, but they're not all at one place. If you're at the farm and you walk in the barn and everybody's home, meaning I have my little ones, my two older ones in town with me. And then there's three huge ones at the farm. So if they're all in the barn, you walk in, it seems scary, but they all get along. They're so chill. Nobody really barks.
Starting point is 01:16:30 It's just like a mob. Like, hello, welcome to the barn. It's pretty great. I mean, I'm really lucky because to pick up all these random dogs over years, they all get along. I kind of talk to them, like, people, though. I'm like, you all need to chill. And you need to understand that there's dogs with less fortunate situations than you guys. Oh, that's what I try to tell my kids.
Starting point is 01:16:51 Yeah, I'm literally, they'll like hound me to death in the mornings when I'm trying to have coffee. I'm like, you know what? You were at the shelter, and the person that was running the shelter probably didn't have time to feed you right at 7.30. So I'm going to drink this. You can chill. My dog loves one of reason with him, too. He's a big fan of reason. Well, have you talked to him about the sneezing episodes in?
Starting point is 01:17:10 My dog's a bulldog. He doesn't quite understand stuff. He's stubborn. Never wanted a bulldog. Never. But they have like face problems. They're all broken.
Starting point is 01:17:20 He's got an eye problem. He's got a nose problem. He's got a wiener problem. He's much like me in all the same ways. Oh, that's nice. Yeah, it's all. Well, then you could have a conversation. I'm like, hey, I feel you, bud.
Starting point is 01:17:31 Okay, the record's out today. It is called Wild Card. Let me hit you with one more. Let's do locomotive from Miranda. Check this one out. That's the rocking song right there. That's fine. Yeah, that's a big loud one.
Starting point is 01:17:55 I'm opening with that one right now. Are you? Fun. That's a big. I needed some big loud ones. This record I was thinking a lot about my live show too. Like, you know, I kind of had a singer songwriter record last one, and I love that, but live, you need to, like, have some of those punches. And locomotive was written, like, really slow, though.
Starting point is 01:18:16 I rode with Ashley Monroe and K.S. Roads. And it was written, like, I'm like a locomotive. I don't run. out of steam. And we were trying to cut it and I was like not happening. So I was like, I'll just say it to the side and Jay texted me, Jay Joyce and said, what if we do it punk? I was like, well, I don't, can I pull punk off? I don't know. And he kind of gave me a choice. He started playing it and I was like, sing. I'm like, okay. And it worked. That's fun. That's definitely a rocker. Okay, last question for you. Your live shows, one of these has to go, meaning you have to cut
Starting point is 01:18:49 one of them from your set list. I'm fascinated with set lists. As you can tell. Clearly. I just love the thought of how you have to move a set list up and down and keep an audience engaged. I'm fascinated with George Strait's set list. Because? Because think of how would you ever... Oh, so many. Narrow that down.
Starting point is 01:19:06 Because someone's going to leave disappointed. Like one time I opened for him and he didn't play him a little bit of a morning, but then he did it for encore when I was panicking. How do you like... He has 50 number ones or probably more now. 60 something. Yeah, but that's just number one. There's still hits that I want to hear. Like, that's what I'm fascinated with.
Starting point is 01:19:27 But anyways. Well, we're at a different level of fascination then. I don't have that problem at all. If you have to cut one, I'm going to give you four options here. The House that Built Me, White Lyer, Gunpowder and Lead, or Mama's Broken Heart. Which one goes? Ew. You love them all.
Starting point is 01:19:44 You love them all. I do. But I think I would probably cut, oh, House it built me. Because? Because. Slow. But people. would be sad. If I went to your show and you cut that
Starting point is 01:19:56 I'll be like, where's the house to build me? I didn't even pay money to watch. But I might cut gumpowder because I would cut gumpowder. You're changing it. Number one, I'm changing it. I've influenced to you. I'm changing it because it's a song I wrote so I don't feel as bad. And secondly,
Starting point is 01:20:12 it's old. So you'll just, you'll play the newer stuff. Yeah, people don't want to hear that. They want to hear the songs they came to hear. Out now, the roadside bars and pink guitars tour. November 7th, 8th, 9th, Charlottesville, Columbia, Orlando. You're going to be in Ottawa, which we're on there, Montreal. So, go see Miranda, and you don't need our help to sell tickets.
Starting point is 01:20:35 You don't need our help to sell records, but I'm glad that you came in. Do we sell records anymore? If we do, I do need your help. You know, whatever that means. I'm going to get lots of streets. To push streams. Thank you. You don't need our help to push streams, but we're glad you came in.
Starting point is 01:20:48 Big fan. I'm so happy that you put out some new music in a bunch at once. And by the way, the clothing line. Do you make money off the clothing line at Boot Barn? It's getting there. I'm wearing it right now. It's all out of wind. Oh, wait.
Starting point is 01:20:59 The jacket, do you? Yeah. Oh, I love that. It's got the, like, what do they call that? Like a sheep's fur-ish. Yeah, like a wool collar. Like a wool. I don't know what it's called.
Starting point is 01:21:08 It's so cute. You were sitting there. I was like, I'm about to like. Sherpa. There you go. I was like going to be Googling where to get a jacket like that. At the Boot Barn and Franklin or downtown on Broadway.
Starting point is 01:21:17 Now I know. I'll mention one other thing, your charity, Nut Nation Foundation, celebrating the 10th anniversary, have raised almost $4 million and supporting animal shelters across the country as a fellow dog person that's awesome. And I'll tell you, I was honored, and I don't even know if you know this or not, but when you guys were doing the drive here during a CMA Fest, you named two dogs after me.
Starting point is 01:21:33 Yes, and you always talk about it, so thank you so much for supporting it. It means a lot. Just a huge dog person. There's so much respect for what you do, and you, that's near and dear to you. It's near and dear to me too. Even if your dog sneezes in your mouth. In my mouth. What's he thinking? All right, Miranda Lambert. Let's clap our hands for our friend for Miranda Lambert. Get a record, wildcard. or sorry, stream her record wild card right now. Stream it by the mouth. However you get it. Thanks, friends.

So shout out to this boy named Brady from Ohio. He's only 10 years old, but he's raising money for canine dogs to get protective vests. And he just got one.
Starting point is 01:25:49 for a dog named Kubo, which is super cool. These vests are about $1,500 each. Wow, for a dog bulletproof jacket? Yeah, and he has his own little fund. It's called Brady's K-9 Fund, and so far, he has raised money for more than 130 vests. Wow. But there's like 60 more on the waiting list,
Starting point is 01:26:08 so he's just knocking them off one by one. How old is he? Ten. Crazy. I'll say this to our dog Morgan number two. I just graduated, because we have been buying service dogs for vets, which again costs so much. They're $20,000 each.
Starting point is 01:26:23 And between all the listeners on the show and us in the studio, we've been able to, you know, pay for these dogs and Morgan number two just graduated. And he's so cute too. Ah, not her. The dog. The dog. A dog. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:26:37 So we named a dog after all of us in the studio. Morgan number two just graduated. So as a shout out to this kid and a shout out to our listeners for making awesome things happen for those that protect us. Like, we appreciate that. And that's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good Let's go around the room and do What's the Haps?
Starting point is 01:26:55 We'll do a... Halloween's over, by the way. It's November 1st, but we'll just do one final check-in with last night and how it all happened. So what's the Haps? Hey! Hey! What's the Haps?
Starting point is 01:27:06 What's the Haps with you? Well, last night, my candy bowl was pretty legit. Because I wanted to be the house that the kids went to school the next day and said, could you believe that the house was doing that. So I wrapped all my candy in money. I got a bunch of $1 bills and I wrapped
Starting point is 01:27:23 the candy in cash. And you can see it on my Instagram story where I would take like a Snickers and wrap it a dollar. I would take a peanut butter cup wrapping a dollar. And so I had like 70 pieces of candy and I would give the cash with other candy. Well, the trick-or-treaters started coming in the daytime.
Starting point is 01:27:41 Probably like $5.30 or so. Yeah. So I give away a piece of cash and then the crowd started multiplying. The word got out. Word got out. And then we're like pushing into my house. And they were like, any more cash?
Starting point is 01:27:54 Are you the guy with the cash? And so I was the guy with the cash. I went to the ATM and got changed one other time. And then I was out of cash. But I was the house last night that was giving away candy wrapped in cash. And I'm hoping today at school, some of those kids are like, dang, did you go to the cash house? It was pretty awesome.
Starting point is 01:28:13 Not going to lie to you. How was their reaction? where they like... Like this, their face was like, oh, the first kids couldn't believe it. Because this for real, yeah. And then later on in the night, I would give out cash,
Starting point is 01:28:26 wrapped around candy, and the kid would be like, can I get some more of that cash candy? No, you get one piece of cash. But you saw a lot of selfish, a lot of selfish kids start going, give me some more than cash. Like, you got your cash?
Starting point is 01:28:37 Yeah, next year, they're going to start coming at like four. But if you, they come today. Yeah. Hey, man. Do you get more cash? You can see on my Instagram, Mr. Bobby Belantire, I had wrap my candy in $1
Starting point is 01:28:48 Bills. And so my goal was for kids at school today to be like, that was the place to go for the cash candy. Pretty good. Probably. Thank you. Mission accomplished. Yes. And then I ate so much candy yesterday last night last night last night. Last night.
Starting point is 01:29:01 Way too much. After five? Well, I had dinner last night after five. Oh, yeah. So what you mean? That's right. I'm not eating today until like noon. I forgot about that. But so, yes, I had candy last night.
Starting point is 01:29:10 A lot. Probably like 40 pieces. I'll be honest with you. What? No way. I go soft or hard. that's it. I go like total like blah or I go hard and I went hard last night.
Starting point is 01:29:22 Okay, cool. Good for you. Thank you very much. That's what's the haps with me. Hey, what's the hatch? Amy? Well, we were tricker training last night and we're walking down the street
Starting point is 01:29:33 and then all of a sudden I look up and I see this like big old penguin and I was like, oh, that's like lunchbox's penguin costume and it was lunchbox and he was the only adult. I mean, there was other adults dressed up I mean, my husband and I had on, like, police uniforms, and, but he had a candy bag. He was an adult, by himself with a candy bag? By himself with a candy bag.
Starting point is 01:29:53 And Stasheera, the first thing she said when we crossed the street and went up to him, she was like, you are too old to trick or treat, right? Like, she was so confused. Like, she didn't understand. Even was talking about it after we walked away from him. She was just like, wait, so mom, can you trick-or-treat? Because I think she started to think if I got a bag and trick-or-treated, that would be more candy at our house. So she's smart kids.
Starting point is 01:30:13 she's smart like that. But yeah, we ran into lunchbox trick-or-treating alone. How'd that go? It was great. It was a lot of fun. You know, got a lot of candy. I did go to Amy's house. Let me tell you.
Starting point is 01:30:23 I forgot to tell you guys. She was handing out oranges at her house. Yeah. She is the worst house in the world. Candy and fruit, right? Yes, my dad was, we were trick-or-treating. So my dad handed out stuff, and I told him that he could hand out, like, a Reese's cup or whatever, and an orange together.
Starting point is 01:30:41 Awful. Awful. The kids have fun. Yeah, they had a lot of fun. Stevenson did not have a gun. He didn't take it with him because it was too much to carry, but he did have his, like, he was loading his Nerf gun like at the house and had it, but he didn't have it when we hit the streets.
Starting point is 01:30:56 Would you have let him? Yes. I told him he could. And he was so excited about that. It just didn't end up. That big Nerf gun you gave him, it didn't fit in the holster. And we didn't have like a smaller one. His SWAT team costume was good, though.
Starting point is 01:31:09 I got it at Target. Yeah, that's good. So legit. Like every house he went to, someone would comment. They're like, that's pretty legit. I thought he was the SWAT. The smallest SWAT ever. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:31:18 It's a good costume. It did look good. Yeah. What's the HABS? Hey, what's the HAX? Watch Box? Baby Box dressed up as a pumpkin. You guys voted Pumpkin.
Starting point is 01:31:27 He went to school as a pumpkin yesterday. They had a Halloween party. And he won best costume in his class. What up? Wow. Yeah. $25 Amazon gift card. I don't know how they vote because the kids are,
Starting point is 01:31:41 obviously only one years old. They have no idea who is what. But when we showed up to the Halloween party, we were the only parents there. They told us he was voted the best costume in the class. Wait, but y'all are the only ones that came? Yeah, well... Well, it's kind of weird because it's a daycare, right? But that's the thing.
Starting point is 01:31:57 They said, oh, we have a Halloween party in each class if you guys want to come. And so we're thinking all the parents come, I guess when they're that young, all they do is they sit there and eat crackers, so it wasn't really a party. They sat at a table and ate crackers. I wish I could do that at a party. That's my perfect party. The dream is going sit and eat crackers.
Starting point is 01:32:12 That is a dream. Do you think they gave them the gift card because they're the only ones there? Oh, maybe. It doesn't matter. No, he's the winner. Best costume. What up? Hey, what's that?
Starting point is 01:32:22 What's the hatch? Eddie, close it out. So it was really cold last night. It was, what, 32 degrees. And, I mean, there were still trick-or-treaters out. But something that I saw a lot of parents were doing when I felt it was kind of a cop-out where the parents were driving a car with a heater on blast. Getting the kids loading them in
Starting point is 01:32:41 Going from one house to the other Dropping them off The kids would go back in the car And they did it all around the neighborhood And me and some of the other dads Who roughed it out Because we didn't do that We were I mean we were bundled up
Starting point is 01:32:51 We were like That's a cop out man That's not trick or treating What are they doing? What do you guys think about that? So cop out or nah I mean I saw people doing it And I was a little jealous
Starting point is 01:33:00 I'm gonna say nah too We were freezing We didn't I wouldn't have done it Because it takes away of the fun Of like walking door to door But does it being so cold also take away the fun of the excitement? If you can stay warmer and maybe not get sick and maybe not get hit by a car.
Starting point is 01:33:17 Well, yeah, that's the dangerous part. It makes it more dangerous for the kids because there's a bunch of cars. They're not really paying attention. It hogs up the street. It's annoying. At least the cars in my neighborhood were piling in, like piling in. So then if the car would put, we would be walking up to a house and a car would pull up just a little bit ahead of us. And then like a clown car, like 50 kids come out and they beat you to the front porch.
Starting point is 01:33:37 And then Stevenson and Stager were like, ugh, like they had to wait until, like, the car got unloaded. So that part was a little annoying. My kids were roughing it on foot. Yeah, so we're mine. But I guess it's kind of smart. Yeah, it's kind of smart, I guess. I had people driving up to my house and cars, and I was like, great for them.
Starting point is 01:33:54 Well, yeah, but you're living a way more spread out. I'm all for efficiently. That's what they were doing. Like, be efficient, be warm, be comfortable, and they trick or keep the crap out as many places as you can. Yeah. So, all right, there you go. Hey. Hey, what's the hat?
Starting point is 01:34:07 All that is what's the haps is happening with us. Let's talk to Rita in North Carolina. Rita, what's happening with you? Hey, happy Friday, everybody. You too. I just wanted to call in and thank you guys. I ride to work with you every morning, but I miss Friday morning dance party because I have the day off.
Starting point is 01:34:29 Oh, well, good for you. Where do you live? Yeah. North Carolina. Yeah, what part of North Carolina? Oh, just a little town halfway between Charlotte and Raleigh called Lexington. Oh, yeah. Listen, love Raleigh. Way to...
Starting point is 01:34:43 Raleigh's awesome. Yeah, it is. Yeah, it's one of our favorite tons. All right, well, appreciate... Love North Carolina. Appreciate that. Appreciate you for listening. I'm disappointed you didn't wake up early and listen to the dance party on your own, though, and be honest with you. I have to admit, I'm hanging my head in shame.
Starting point is 01:35:00 Sorry that I missed it, you know, but I am getting ready to fly up to New Jersey and pick my grandson up and spend a week with him. Don't want to hear any excuses. I'm over excuses. You didn't want. No, I just play. Hey, I appreciate you. Hope you have an awesome weekend. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:35:14 Thank you. You guys too. Bye-bye. See you later. Giving her hard time. Miranda in Oklahoma, you are on the year. What's happening, Miranda? Hello.
Starting point is 01:35:22 How are you? I'm pretty good. What do you want to say? I'm super excited. I get to see you tonight in Tulsa. Oh, in Tulsa. This will be my fourth concert with you. Dot, dot, dot, dot, in Tulsa.
Starting point is 01:35:33 She's like, I'm going to see you tonight. I know. Yeah. Yeah. In Tulsa. I got. Yeah. Yeah, Eddie and I are playing in Tulsa tonight at the Hard Rock.
Starting point is 01:35:42 Cino, yeah. Right outside of Tulsa, but basically Tulsa. So we'll see everybody there tonight. It's sold out, so there aren't any more tickets. But we'll be in Vegas, Louisville, and Birmingham coming up real soon. If you're in Tulsa and you want to come to a show, you can fly out of those shows. Yeah. Yeah, good luck.
Starting point is 01:35:58 Well, Miranda, can't wait to see it tonight. I appreciate that. By the way, in our hot guy draft yesterday, Morgan number two was the big winner. with her team of Chris Hemsworth, Tim McGraw, and Ryan Reynolds, and she is dominating the draft with eight wins. And second, me and lunchbox, and then all the rest of you guys round out the end. Really? Yeah, yeah, but Morgan number two running away with it.
Starting point is 01:36:22 Only two wins away from holding that belt. Look at you. So we'll get another one on Tuesday. Okay. What? Who lost? Me, by far. That was over from the beginning.
Starting point is 01:36:33 Why did I just... I don't know why... I'm mad because I picked Luke Bryan. Everybody that didn't vote. for me? You suck. Luke's awesome. And he's super hot. Yeah. I'd be in it. Yeah. According to the polls. George straight? I mean, come on.
Starting point is 01:36:45 Yeah. I could tell. That was a risky one for me, but I'd rather go all in and land in the middle somewhere. Tuesday we'll have another draft on. I'm leaning toward favorite vegetables right now. Drafting our favorite vegetables. So I'm leaning toward right now for Tuesday. Okay.
Starting point is 01:37:01 I think I may do an Instagram story, though, and say, what are some more draft ideas from the listeners? They always give good ones. Yeah, they do. Um, okay. Let's play the 60-second showdown. Why don't we put on... It's all dudes right now on the phone. Oh. Come on, ladies?
Starting point is 01:37:15 Well, mostly it is ladies. Why don't we go to Kirk in New Orleans? You just said it's all dudes on the phone. Mostly it is ladies. Yeah, that plays usually. Oh, okay. I don't think we've ever had a dude play the game. I know.
Starting point is 01:37:30 Yeah. Kirk in New Orleans, how are you? Hey, how y'all doing? Yeah, it's a dude. I can tell by his voice. Yeah, for sure. Hey, Kirk, you want to play? I do want to play.
Starting point is 01:37:40 Let me give it a shot. I'm going to give you three options here. You can play women in country, science, or the category of movies from the 2000s. Ooh, let's go with science. Okay, wow. I like it. Strong. Okay.
Starting point is 01:37:56 Usually science is left around like the yellow starburst. I mean, you take it because it's there, and it's going to be pretty fun to play, but you go, I don't ever pick science. beginning. So shout out, Kirk. Okay. You have 10. I don't know if I'm comfortable with either of the other two, so science did it. What do you do for a living? I work in IT. Of course. That's smarty here. I give you 10 questions. You have 60 seconds to get them all right. If you do, you win $100, not of the radio stations money of mine. And let me tell you, I'm a little broke after Halloween last night. I know. All right, ready to go. We'll start the timer as soon as I finished the first question, the category of
Starting point is 01:38:36 science, 10 questions. If you don't know it, pass. If you miss it, we'll also come back to it. It doesn't eliminate you. Here we go. Question number one. What's the name of a scientist who studies weather? That. How many horns does the triceratops have? Three. What temperature Fahrenheit does water freeze? 32. What gas do trees give off? Carbon dioxide. Incorrect. All matter is made up of what particles? Atoms. Correct. What common piece of lab equipment is used to measure the volume of liquid?
Starting point is 01:39:19 I'll accept it. What's the name of the hypothetical landmass that existed when all the continents were joined? Um, erasia? Uh, no. How many ounces are in a cup? 12. No. What planet is closest to the sun?
Starting point is 01:39:42 Mercury. Correct. A person who studies dinosaurs is known as what? He studies what? He got through all of them, which is always hard to do. Kind of sucked. But he did pretty good at getting through them. Not bad.
Starting point is 01:39:57 Okay, so let's go back from the top. Whenever he didn't know the person who studies weather, I was like, this is not going to be a good ring for him. Well, I just felt like the first one you're a little nervous. So, like, he probably knows it. Yeah. What do you got? I was thinking of a name, like a person, not meteorologist.
Starting point is 01:40:13 Oh, like Ned Permi from Channel 7 and Little Rock. A meteorologist, yeah. It sucks to get on this thing and not do well. Yeah. Sometimes you know it all, but you know, like, that's a sucky performance. Right. Because sounds like Kirk's a smart guy. Meteorologist, correct.
Starting point is 01:40:28 How many horns? Triceratops. That is three. Try. Three. Cereotops. He got temperature water freezes at Fahrenheit 32. What gas do trees give off?
Starting point is 01:40:38 He said carbon dioxide. Actually, it's oxygen. Now, we need that. Did you know that? Backward. Yeah, back. Right. Backwards.
Starting point is 01:40:46 Backwards. All matter is made of atoms. He nailed that. This question was hard. So whatever he said, I just gave him the right answer. He said the question was what common piece of lab equipment is used to measure the volume of a liquid? He said a beaker. A beaker.
Starting point is 01:41:00 Which is awesome. Fine. The answer written here is graduated cylinder. Ain't no chance anybody was getting that way. So I was like, correct. Beaker it is. Beaker, yeah. The hypothetical landmass where all the continents were joined is.
Starting point is 01:41:16 Pangaea? Yes. Oh, man. Good. In my head, I was singing Jumanji. Close. It's another. That's a movie.
Starting point is 01:41:24 The movie about a board game that comes... I knew it was a word like that. Say it again? Pangia. Got it. How many ounces in a cup? Eight. Correct. Boom.
Starting point is 01:41:34 Whelp. What planet closer to the sun, Mercury, and a paleontologist studies, dinosaur faxes. Ross from Friends. Kirk, like I said, kind of a sucky performance, but I don't think it was really your fault. You got a couple tough ones there. I feel like if you fall off early, it's hard to catch back up. But I think you're a pretty smart guy, but you did not win. Oh, it's all right.
Starting point is 01:41:52 No problem. Well, I appreciate that call. I appreciate you listening. Of course. Love you guys. Thanks, man. I've been listening to y'all in New Orleans since y'all came on a few years back.
Starting point is 01:42:03 My wife and I are both big fans. We're having a baby. I have my gender reveal party tomorrow. Oh, come on. Here we go. And how are you doing the gender reveal? Like confetti cannons. So you're not like shooting anything
Starting point is 01:42:20 that's going to be blue or letting Well, yeah, like all of our parents are going to stand behind us, and they're going to each have a confetti can, and then they twist the can, and then it shoots blue or blue or pink confetti in the air. And do you already know, though? I do not. I was willing to take a peek, but my wife wouldn't let me. Does she know? She does not. Wow, so who knows?

Starting point is 01:46:50 Dot E-D-U-S-E-D-U-S-Military. Open doors to the future for you and your family with the help of American Military University. That's AMU. dat APUS. Dot E-D-U-S-Military. I want to mention a couple things. First, Amy's Four Things podcast.
Starting point is 01:47:10 That guy from Lucky Charms is on yours. Southern Charm. Southern Charm. It's a reality show. It's on Bravo, filmed in Charleston. His name's Craig Canover. And he makes pillows. So here's Craig talking about how all the Bravo people hang out and who he's close with.
Starting point is 01:47:28 Yeah, a lot of us do. And fortunately, a lot of us are, like, fans of each other in a good way. Like, what's Lisa? Do you know Lisa Vanderpom? No, I don't know her. Any of the housewives? I know Sonia and Ramona from New York. What are they like?
Starting point is 01:47:43 They're absurd. They're amazing. I mean, it's just like. They're amazing. Okay. Yeah, Sonia. Just like I thought they were. Sonia and I are, like Sonya I are closer than Ramona I, but.
Starting point is 01:47:53 So, all. Hey, they're filling all the tea, apparently. I don't even know what's happening in those close, a bunch of names I never heard of, but I'm sure that for those that know it, that's awesome. It's awesome. So check out the Four Things podcast with Amy Brown. I'll say that after the show today,
Starting point is 01:48:06 Eddie and I are going to record a quick one over on the Bobbycast about new music out today. We're going to do the Mount Rushmore of our favorite lifetime albums because Hootie and the Blowfish is putting out a new album today. Yeah. They have it out today. and I have as one of my most listened to albums. That's what it's going to be our most listened to albums. Perfect.
Starting point is 01:48:23 I have the old hoody record, cracked review. So if you want to hear that, that'll be up. We'll put that up after. This show will go up and that podcast will go up today. Cool. So there's a lot up there. Hey, let me say, Ramundo, you have to review white chicks. You're the only one that hasn't reviewed their movie yet.
Starting point is 01:48:36 Yeah, I got you. I'll make it easy. Okay. I mean, it's pretty simple as a comedy, so the plot line, you want to go into it? Yeah, so we all had to draw a movie from each other's favorite stack. We all put our favorite movie in a hat. then I drew Sweet Home Alabama. It was Morgan No. 2's movie.
Starting point is 01:48:51 I gave it two and a half Alabama's. Eddie watched. Dirty Dancing. And I gave it four and a half babies because it was really, really good. Amy watched. Life is beautiful. And I gave it three and a half Italians.
Starting point is 01:49:03 Lunchbox watched. The beach. And I gave it one Sandcastle out of five Sandcastles. Morgan number two watched. Man on the moon. And I gave it 3.5 out of five Jim Carries. Last review is Raymondo with white chicks. Raymondo, take it away.
Starting point is 01:49:16 Yeah, so White Chicks is a comedy. It's the Wayne brothers, Wayne's brothers. They're funny dudes, but the thing that sucked is they had to play women's voices. So the, because they fake like their women, they were cops, their career was going down the toilet. They go to the Hamptons. The only way they can revive their career is if they fake like their women. So they do it. So the entire movie, they're talking like this.
Starting point is 01:49:37 Hey, where are we? It's basically Lunchbox's woman voice, which he learned, probably from this movie. But that's the entire time. And then it's the humor that lunch likes. There's fart jokes. They do your mama jokes. There's, I mean, all the jokes are pretty old school. I mean, I don't know if these jokes are going to fly nowadays,
Starting point is 01:49:55 but if you're in the kitchen, clean the house, watch the movie. It's not something to follow and be totally engaged with, but it's funny. Give white chicks your, how many out of five? Yeah, since they wore women's masks, I'm going to give it three women's masks out of five. Okay, three is a pretty solid review. Just because it's out. there. They do a decent job of keeping a plot line and making you just entertained and laugh. And the Wayne's brothers are funny. They're funny dudes.
Starting point is 01:50:23 Okay, there you go. We have now reviewed all of our movies. It's pretty solid bit. What I'm looking forward to is next Friday when it's Eddie versus Morgan number one who comes back after her long. She's been gone from the show for a while and they compete for Eddie's CMA award. That's right. What do you call it, the Olympics? Yeah. The CMA Olympics. On the next Friday. I'm looking forward to that one already.
Starting point is 01:50:43 It's a Bobby Bones show. Julie in Arkansas, what's happening? Thank you for calling the show. Hey, Bobby, how are you today? Pretty good. What's going on? Good. Okay, I have a follow-up question. Last January, you took Stevenson out to Dave Investors. Have you taken fishery out yet?
Starting point is 01:51:03 No. I haven't, no. I've hung out with her. There's just something that feels a little weird about taking a 12-year-old girl out by myself. Why? That you're not related to. Well, I mean, I took a boy, and I know what. boys like.
Starting point is 01:51:17 Well, she would do Daven Busters. I mean, she's a kid. I don't even want to do Dave and Busters. It's so germ-filled. I mean, she likes movies. Yeah, I know. She likes shopping. What's the point of this call?
Starting point is 01:51:29 She likes Target. That's weird. It is weird. You can take her to Target. It is a little bit weird for me and just a 12-year-old girl to be out. It feels weird to me. Yeah. Okay, I guess I see it a little bit.
Starting point is 01:51:39 Like, I come over to your house and I hang out. I know. It's just she, she sees, like, Stevenson get picked up and taken somewhere. So then she's like, huh, okay. I mean, to her, it's not registering, oh, he's a guy. Stevenson's a little boy. Like, it makes more sense. They have stuff in common, maybe.
Starting point is 01:51:55 I don't even have a good argument here, except it just feels weird to go pick up a 12-year-old girl and take her somewhere. That's it. That's the only argument I have, and it's not even a good one. Yeah. So you checked in, Julie, and I appreciate that. But I don't have a good answer. I wish I was a better person.
Starting point is 01:52:08 What do you think, Julie? I think he should do something to keep it fair. because growing up, you see, I saw one sibling favorite over the other. It's not comfortable. Yeah, but I don't think it's a sibling favoritism. It's, I bet you some of your girlfriends hang out what's this year without Stevenson. Yeah, I mean, well, I feel like they balance it out. They do hang out with her, but then they'll hang out with him.
Starting point is 01:52:36 It's just weird for me. I'm not going to be, it's just, I get it. Yeah, it's weird. It's not going to. I will. I'll hang out with her at the house. house. Okay.
Starting point is 01:52:45 You're not going to take her anywhere. That's interesting. You take her to get a piece of pizza? We can do that. Okay. Yeah, she loves pizza. We'll do that. We'll go get some pizza.
Starting point is 01:52:56 Okay. Julie, thank you. I have nothing to add here. Julie, thank you. Hi. You're so uncomfortable right now. I just don't feel like I don't want to get a 12-year-old girl and I know it's not right. Like, I don't even bring in some.
Starting point is 01:53:09 She was a call and you just guilted me on the air. You know, I'm not guilty. Can you, she put it up? You're like, Julie, how do you feel? Because I wanted to know how Julie felt, and she gave her opinion. You guys are all right. By the way, I know I'm wrong. Okay.
Starting point is 01:53:19 There's no part of me that's arguing I'm right. Well, I'm not trying to make you wrong. I know that you mean, well, I understand a little bit about what you're saying. I mean, I'm trying to send those kids to college, and now I'm getting busted on because I didn't go to pizza. Yeah. Okay, done. I will take her to get pizza at some point. Cool.
Starting point is 01:53:35 You don't, I'm not going to, it's fine. We have to go. Okay. Eddie and I are going to Tulsa tonight. Raging Idiots in Tulsa. Amy, what's going on with you? Well, I'm going to be hanging out with the kids and our friends are in town. So, yeah, just family stuff.
Starting point is 01:53:49 Like, four kids, four adults. I don't know. I've got to figure out some of our activities. Cake stands? Yeah. I'm ordering the keg right now. Cool, cool, cool. Hey, you guys have a great weekend.
