I made a whole list of things
Starting point is 00:03:11 I wanted to mention here as we started. I might have messed up this morning in doing a nice deed for Caitlin. I haven't been sleeping well the past few months, but I woke up probably 45 minutes before I normally do, so I'm up. It's completely dark.
Starting point is 00:03:26 I got nothing to do. And I'm fully awake, so I know not to go back to sleep. And so me moving around, I turn the TV on, wakes Caitlin up a little bit. Most time she doesn't wake up, but she's awake.
Starting point is 00:03:35 And she's like, since you're up, when you make me breakfast, she's never, she was just kidding, because I don't cook. But I was like, yeah, sure, I'll go make you breakfast. She was like, you will?
Starting point is 00:03:41 So yeah, what do you want? She goes, um, how about a bagel, cream cheese, and scrambled eggs? And I said, all right, sure.
Starting point is 00:03:48 She's like, what? And I said, I'll go do it. So I'll walk in the kitchen, scramble up, some eggs, make a bagel, put in the toaster.
Starting point is 00:03:57 Cook breakfast, took it into her. And she was like, wow, but now the problem is, I have proved to her that I can do it. Oh, every morning now. Which I should have never done. I should just be like, the, what's
Starting point is 00:04:05 a egg? Because I don't think that alone I've ever just went like, I'll cook something up. I've been like, hey, we're going to have dinner. I know how to do this. Or I've done hello fresh. But never have I just been like, let me hop in there making, I don't know that it was great. She was very appreciative, but I think I now have shown
Starting point is 00:04:22 that I have the ability to hop up and make breakfast. Yeah, but that's okay. And you can do it again. That's the problem. I don't want to do it again. But see, Amy's husband does this with his ironing clothes or what does he do? Folding things. Yeah, folding things. Yeah. The guy was in the Air Force Academy. It's like, I don't know. They'll fold a shirt. And I believe him. It's smart. Hey, hey, wink, wink.
Starting point is 00:04:42 Right. But I think I just proved myself. But she was happy with it. And then all day today, I've been like, remember that I made you breakfast? That was cool. So I think that I'm trying to leverage that against the fact that I now know how to do it. So she thinks every time I cook that I'm going to be like, remember that time I did that for you? So that happened this morning. I have a little note here. Yesterday, we were out in the yard. playing ball with Stanley. He is obsessed with the basketball. Attacks it because he loves it so much.
Starting point is 00:05:07 Just was on it. And so we go out in the yard and we're just chunking it across the yard. I made a bad throat. It did not get to Caitlin. And he runs and just attacks it and just starts rolling it hard. Well, there's like a drainage thing underneath the drive that's a tunnel that goes through. It's not a big tunnel. But the ball barely fits into that tunnel and goes rolling through.
Starting point is 00:05:25 And he goes in after it. He's a quarter of the way through the tunnel. And he starts to get tighter. around him. He's a big fat bulldog. And I'm like, oh, and I'm like, oh my God, the dog's going to get stuck in the drainage. And Caitlin runs on the other side. And she's like, Stanley, come on. And all he's just focused on that ball. Just pushing that ball. And also like, fighting himself through the hole. It probably took him three, four minutes, which felt like 20, but he made, he squeezed himself all the way through the other side and it just kept chasing the ball.
Starting point is 00:05:53 Oh, wow. That's funny. I was scared of death that we were going to have to bring somebody out to, like, break open the land. Grease him. But we couldn't, we couldn't even get to him. That's how small the hole was. I couldn't fit in there. Wow. So that was some drama yesterday. Let's see here. Made some notes.
Starting point is 00:06:08 I called Eddie last night. There's a basketball game on. And I never do, hey, this is a sure thing. Because they want you to think it's a sure thing. So you gamble on it. But I called Eddie with a sure thing. And I said, hey, I don't know what you got in your account right now, but bet it all in this game.
Starting point is 00:06:23 Yeah, it's a little nervous. So how are you sure? Oh, it was. You just felt it? I felt it. And I was watching it. And when I feel like I'm going to put a good amount on it, and I made the biggest bet I'd ever made on sports on it.
Starting point is 00:06:35 And I've called Eddie, and I was like, do it. I was going to call Ray, but Ray's his sleep at 8 o'clock. But Eddie did, and... Sometimes you know, you know, and dude, you knew, and we made some cash. We did pretty good last night. Wow. If you want to bet on the NCAA tournament with... Draft Kings.
Starting point is 00:06:50 With the Draft King's app, you need to get the Draft King sports book. I know. I downloaded the wrong draft Kings. Well, it's right. It's right for fantasy. Well, it's the right one. But yeah, Bobby was looking at my phone. He's like, oh, that's not the app you need.
Starting point is 00:07:01 You can do Draft King Sportsbook and be sure to put in the code. Bones. Is it Bones, Mike, or Bobby? It's bones, right? It's bones, because I put in the code. I still can't give it. I don't know what it got me, but I put it in. You probably got some free money.
Starting point is 00:07:14 Yes, or you get like free options that lets you bet more for less. Oh, Amy, you're about to start making some Kazash. You should, Etsy Tate tournament. Pick some games. Okay. All right. Oh, you already put the code bones. I already put in the code bones.
Starting point is 00:07:26 Yeah, but, um. No, but if I download the new app, I can re-put in the code bones. Maybe. They're doing a thing, too, where if you pick an underdog and you bet $4, you can end up winning like $200. Nice. If the underdog wins, which is pretty cool. But you guys check that out. I also brought Eddie fish this morning.
Starting point is 00:07:40 Oh, thank you so much. Some halibut and scallops. My catch from deep sea. Wow. Question. That's never been frozen, huh? So that's fresh from the ocean straight to the chest. We put it in our freezer just to make sure it got to you.
Starting point is 00:07:52 Oh, you did freeze a little bit. Yeah. Because we're not going to leave. What are we going to do? I figure you just keep it on ice. But it didn't matter. That's straight from the ocean. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:08:00 Legit. That's my notes from yesterday's life. Anything from your life? Not that I can think of right now. Oh, what did we watch? Oh, there's a new Superman show on Lois and Superman. Has anybody seen it? No.
Starting point is 00:08:14 Mike D. anybody? Oh, Morgan number two? Yeah, I've watched it. We started that. Can't decide how I feel about it yet, but my daughter loves anything like and my son. Like, any superhero type thing we're into. It has an 86% positive on Rotten Tomatoes, which is a strong. What's it called? Lois and Superman?
Starting point is 00:08:29 Superman and Lois. There you go. And do it in that order, because I think there are a lot of different versions of this show. Yeah, but it's brand new, so it's something, and there's multiple episodes. I think maybe we could binge it. I watched the final of Wanda Vision. How'd you, would you feel about it? I liked it, because it was like fighting.
Starting point is 00:08:46 I like some fighting in superhero movies. Caitlin is her least favorite thing. She's like, why are they superiors fighting? I was like, this is what they do, because she hadn't seen any of the Marvel movies. I did. I really liked it, but it's over now. Yep, we have to wait. It's a series finale.
Starting point is 00:08:59 It's not a season finale. Oh, there's nothing coming back? They may do a different show, but that's it, right, Mike? That's it. That tells that whole story, the end done. Wow, okay. Are you done? Yeah, we're done.
Starting point is 00:09:10 Watched it. Thought it was really a really good series. Took me a second at the beginning to understand what was happening because it's kind of weird at first. But loved it. There's a point too where this guy, he's a good guy, he works for the FBI. They handcuff him and he gets a, like a pin, like a Bobby pin or a, a safety pin.
Starting point is 00:09:30 And he undoes his handcuffs with the safety pin. And Kately goes, this isn't realistic at all. I said, baby, there were like two. Supergirls fighting in the air like three minutes ago punching each other in the face with their laser rays. Right. You want to talk about the handcuffs? My dad was watching Star Wars with us one time.
Starting point is 00:09:47 He's like, yeah, right. I'm like, Dad, the whole movie's face. I'm talking about. He's like, he'd never sign it with the left hand. All right, Rusty is on with us. Rusty, what's happening, man? Bobby, what's going on, buddy? Hey, are you a truck driver?
Starting point is 00:10:00 Yeah. Can I tell you, when I was driving the big rig, because I had to go get my CDL permit, and then I went and drove the big rig for like two days. That is so much stress. Let me tip my hat to you. Because you are, first of all, you get so many gears in this truck. You're double clutching.
Starting point is 00:10:15 You got gears. You got a load behind you. You got cars that aren't given a crap that you could just drive over the top of them and kill everybody. Like, it's nonstop stress for you when you're on the road. So again... Buddy, let me tell you. Let me tell you, I appreciate it.
Starting point is 00:10:30 What I do is it's not for everybody, because if everybody could do it, we would all do it. It's like if we could all be radio announcer, it would be all on a radio. Man, I left that with a deep appreciation, not only for how many things you've got to focus on at once while driving that truck, but two, without people driving trucks,
Starting point is 00:10:48 like the infrastructure of our country is built on goods being shipped across, and sometimes you've got to load up in back of a truck and carry them from one side of the country to the next. Dang. So, Rusty, you demand, that's all. Okay? All right. All right, see? He didn't even know why he was getting on the phone.
Starting point is 00:11:02 I'm going to give you a chance to win a prize here. Up for grabs, a $50 marathon gas gift card. We're going to play the most recognizable guitar riff game, which we did play just days ago. But now, Amy is going to hear five of them. Do you think she will get three of them right? Yes or no? Three out of five. Can she go three out of five?
Starting point is 00:11:23 No. Okay. If you get three or more, he loses. Okay. Okay? He has bet against you. Thanks, dude. Yeah, okay, here we go.
Starting point is 00:11:32 Name this guitar riff. Here we go. I got this one. Amy, name that guitar riff? Beat it. Beat it by Michael Jackson. Don't beat it. All right, Rusty, she's got one.
Starting point is 00:11:59 You don't need her to get two more, okay? I ain't sweating it. Okay, oh. Rusty. I mean, I don't blame you for betting him and Smith. I've heard her things sweet. child of mine. I ain't worried. Okay. Are you ready? Next up. She's shaking her head right now. I think she's struggling with this one. It's hard. Yeah. I mean, I know I'm very familiar.
Starting point is 00:12:40 Here's me. You named that song. Go ahead, Amy. Need an answer. Smells like teen spirit. Fine guess. Incorrect. That is Inner Sandman from Metallica. Rusty's back in the game. Rusty's back in the game. Rusty's back in the game. All right, Amy. Can you name this one? That's right. What? Do you know it? What's the answer?
Starting point is 00:13:44 Oh my gosh. Is this just this over and over? Pretty much. You'll probably switch up here in a second. There it is. Oh. No, no. You sing them walk this way?
Starting point is 00:14:00 Don't do that. No, I'm confused. You did go that way. Need an answer. Beautiful woman. Back in black. Back in black. Keep going.
Starting point is 00:14:17 That was back in black. Okay. All right. Randy. Okay. Amy. Rusty. Rusty.
Starting point is 00:14:26 If you miss this next one, he wins. Right. Okay. Name this famous guitar riff. Oh. Welcome. this way. Walk this way is correct. Oh,
Starting point is 00:14:43 it all comes down to this. Randy, I'll give you a chance. Sorry, Amy, don't make me think his name is Randy. Rusty. Sorry. Come on, guys. Rusty. I have one more song for her. Now, I'm going to let you change your mind or whatever.
Starting point is 00:15:02 You can pick if she gets it or doesn't get it, Rusty. Do you think she'll get the next song? No. Okay, he's staying with no. Sorry, I just don't have faith. Okay. Yeah, I can get all. have faith.
Starting point is 00:15:12 Gotcha. This is the last song. Name this famous guitar riff for the win. Okay, you heard it all. What are you leaning toward? Like what kind of band? Stacey's mom.
Starting point is 00:16:12 But that's not it. That's what's stuck in my head. But... Is that it? If it's not Stacey's mom, it's like, uh... Dazzy's mom, it's like,
Starting point is 00:16:24 is that it? Do you feel where I'm going? Kind of... But it's... But on me. Yeah, no. I don't think so. What is your answer?
Starting point is 00:16:33 Sometimes I get the self-to-me. Okay. Okay. I hear it now, Vance. Somehow she found it. She got there. Sometimes I give myself some. Yeah, five seconds.
Starting point is 00:16:49 I got it. It's like right in my head. Answer. Answer. Sometimes I get something lost on me. I don't have it. It's called basket. case by Green Day. Okay, I would not have gotten that. Oh, but I wouldn't have gotten it.
Starting point is 00:17:07 Hey, Rusty, congratulations. You get your job. Rusty, who, who, who, who. Thanks, Amy. You're welcome. Thanks, Amy. Rusty was a big win today. All right, Rusty, hang on the line for a second. We'll get you your prize. All right, bud. All right, Morgan, what's up? So I went over to the Bobby Bone Show B team page and I asked if they had any questions they wanted to answer. Okay, what do you have. So do you and Caitlin plan to have cake at your wedding or something different? I think we'll do cake. I had a suggestion for a humongous razorback cake that I found on, what's that site called? What you look for cool stuff?
Starting point is 00:17:42 Pinterest? Thank you, Pinterest. You're welcome. Found a humongous razorback cake. It's beautiful. And that's what you're doing? No, I don't think so. Because those cakes are really expensive. And then I think if, because if we got a nice cake, we'd only get one. And I don't think that a Razorback cake would be good for both of us, you know? You can make it your groom's cake, but she may not like that either. No, I could probably do whatever for the groom's cake. It just won't be that big. But there's a such thing as a groom's cake? Yes.
Starting point is 00:18:06 Oh yeah. You get your own cake, bub. Well, can I do something else? Can I do like beef jerky? Instead of cake? Right? Can't you do like groom jerky or something? You do whatever you want, man. There's already a big cake. Why do you need another cake? See? Is there a bride cake and a groom's cake and a all cake? No, no. Too many cakes. You either do one big cake or people.
Starting point is 00:18:25 do a bride's cake and a groom's cake. I've never heard a three, but I guess you could. But I wouldn't have a groom's cake if there's already a big wedding cake. Is that what you're saying? Yeah. Okay. I think we're just going to do a wedding cake. Because we did wedding cake tasting.
Starting point is 00:18:40 Sounds like you're just going to do one cake. Yeah. Again, I should be a little more knowledgeable about this, but I am not. All right, what else? So the listeners always share their favorite segments on the show, but they want us to answer what are favorite segments on the show are. What's your favorite segment to do? if I'm like, all right, we're going to do this segment.
Starting point is 00:18:57 What kind of lights you up, Eddie? Music games. All the music games that we play, I love it. Amy? It's got to be a game. I don't know that minor music, but easy trivia. Like, I have a love-hate relationship with it. But, like, the question games or, like, randomly the name game or something like that.
Starting point is 00:19:14 We don't do that that often. Lunchbox? Lunchbox, brain calls. Those are definitely my favorite. Absolutely. I always like it when you guys tell on each other. Oh, spill the tea? I like the spill the tea.
Starting point is 00:19:24 I hate that segment. Yeah, that's pretty fun. And I like when we get 90s country artists in. Oh, yeah, that's good. Because that to me is getting to live out like band camp, childhood fan camp, you know? So that would probably be my favorite too. All right, what else?
Starting point is 00:19:40 And speaking of segments, they request that we bring back Shot Collar trivia and Bobby Bone Show trivia. No. So Shot Collar trivia is a game. I think if I put money on it and gave you the option to play it, you guys would play it.
Starting point is 00:19:53 I'll play it if you play it. You just never play it. You always push the button. That's not true. I've played it many times. He's played it many times. But I would also play for money. And he's not really going to get shocked. And he put your money up and he's going to get every question right because he's the smartest. So I'll tell you, Eddie, I'll play.
Starting point is 00:20:06 If you play. But you'll play and we'll put money up and we'll go against each other. If that's what you want to do. Oh gosh. You're right though. And we both have a buzzer. So we're just going to be with each other. We just start shocking each other.
Starting point is 00:20:17 All right. What else Morgan? How is Amy's dad doing? Amy, how's your dad? No, he's doing okay. He's at a rehab hospital right now. So I think the next move, he'll be there for like two more weeks. And he's probably moving in with me.
Starting point is 00:20:30 Really? Yeah. Is this breaking news? Yeah, I guess. I haven't really talked about it at all. So I, but we're just trying to iron out those details of what that will look like. He's vaccinated. So I feel safe bringing him into my house and being around kids and family and friends if they come over.
Starting point is 00:20:45 But, you know, we talked about maybe the chair rail situation, but I think we're just going to convert like a study that we have down the. stairs into his bedroom. Because I can't risk him even being near stairs at this point. Amy's dad got cancer. Yeah. And quickly had a lot of stuff happened to him. Yeah, he was fully functioning, like worked every day. Like his life has drastically changed the last three years.
Starting point is 00:21:11 And it was because of a surgery that wasn't supposed to go this way, but it went wrong. Nobody's fault, but it just unfortunately went wrong. And he ended up in ICU for like eight weeks. never been the same. Like he coded. Like his life, he just brain wise, it's never been the same. And he's on a feeding tube. And it just been super unfortunate. But sometimes his brain is still super sharp and he's still there. And that's why I think it's important for us to bring us into the home. Because if I were to send him to a more skilled place to live, like a skilled nursing home situation, I think that he would get depressed. Because he mentally, sometimes he's still so
Starting point is 00:21:47 sharp that I think he needs to be around family during this. Who knows if it's like this last little season. Well, good luck. Yeah, thanks. Thanks for asking about him. People are always so nice. I tell him, like, listeners check on you. He's like, tell him I said, what up.
Starting point is 00:22:00 Like, he's very aware of stuff. One final question, Morgan. Is there a strong possibility that you will end the radio show in the coming years? And if so, what will the rest of the show do? This is my favorite thing to do still. Of everything that I do, this is by far still my favorite thing. I think that I'll do this for a while longer. I do.
Starting point is 00:22:21 The only reason I wouldn't is if I decided I was going to go run for office. But who knows? But I think I'm going to do this. And if I left, I'm sure the guys would go do a sports podcast, they're already doing. What? No, sure, man. We'll do that.
Starting point is 00:22:37 That's cool. Why do you say it like that? Eddie, what is your deal? I'm just saying like if he, every time he talks about if I leave, I didn't bring it up. I didn't bring it up. I know. But to me, it's just like, God, I don't.
Starting point is 00:22:47 I don't want to think about that. Amy would probably do a massive nighttime radio show on 100 stations like Delilah and be great at it. Yeah. Yeah, I would. Everybody else saw you guys are screwed. No. That's not true. Eddie, you gave me down.
Starting point is 00:23:06 Like, y'all would, there's so much opportunity for everybody on this show. I feel like I've said you guys are pretty good to go on spread your wings. It's not you. It's just that this is, I like, I like this. job. You like to, for sure, paycheck? I like this. It's a good feeling. Everything's fine. I love the, I get asked that a lot. Do I want to go? I don't want to
Starting point is 00:23:27 leave. This is the most fun that I have is still doing this radio show. So, thank you for all your questions. Anything you guys want to know before we hang up? Yeah, what's the time frame of that, man? There is nothing. There's no time frame. There is no time. But have you had a guess. Like, if you looked at your calendar, because you know you have a lot of dots. I mean, you have dots on everything. So where's that dot at?
Starting point is 00:23:47 What? I don't, there's not an answer forever. Never. I'm never leaving. But also, too, that's just a discussion, too, of overall. Like, what is the future of what we do look like anyway? I don't think it's live. I don't think I can, I don't think in five years I'm waking up early in the morning. I like that. I don't. So does that mean, who knows what it means? And I don't think in five years I'm waking up the butt crack of dawn anymore. Because I'm 40 now. I've been doing this for the morning part of this thing for, for, 17 years? It's a long time to be waking up this early. I'm exhausted of just waking up. But thank you for your questions. Yeah, Eddie's been here for eight years. I meant for Bobby. Not me. All right. Thank you guys for your questions. We appreciate that.

Starting point is 00:28:40 Bobby. Betterhelp.com slash Bobby. Bobby Bones. The latest from Nashville and Hollywood. Morgan number two, 30 second skinny. Carrie Underwood celebrated her birthday by dropping another new song from her upcoming gospel album. The song is called Nothing But the Blood of Jesus. Our members hearing his song Undivided with Tyler Hubbard for the first time.
Starting point is 00:29:21 Sometimes a song like Undivided just shows up and it's timely and needs to be be done in the moment. No matter what else is going on. And when Tyler sent this demo to me, I knew that it was a song that we needed to record and put out because it says so much and mean so much. And I hope that this song does to you what it did to me when I first heard it. Travis Denning just chose his latest single called Abby and he shared why he loves it. Abby is one of those songs that I heard and just knew I needed to record. I thought it was so funny and clever and quirky. This is a fun way of kind of looking at moving on from a relationship. I'm Morgan number two. That's Your Skinny.
Starting point is 00:29:55 It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Tell me something good. Chad Turns has been driving for UPS for over a decade, and there's a small town in Pennsylvania that he delivers packages to, and he's been really busy during the pandemic. And he is so, like, good at his job. Like, he'll notice something that looks like it's a birthday present
Starting point is 00:30:16 because it'll have something on the package, and he'll wait until the kids aren't home, and he'll bring the package back after hours so the kids don't see it. Well, the parents and the community, want to do something nice. They put up a little page, got $1,000 in donations, and they surprised him with it.
Starting point is 00:30:31 They said, oh, we have a package. You need to come pick up. And when he showed up, it was everybody out in the street saying, thank you! And they gave him $1,000. That's all. That's cool.
Starting point is 00:30:40 Imagine just getting $1,000 handed to you. Do you see the story on the flip side about the, I think maybe the Amazon driver that was Pee on People's packages? No. Mike just that one? I did see that one. What happened?
Starting point is 00:30:51 I didn't click the video because I want to watch a guy peeing on people's packages, but the headlines said Amazon driver Peas on people's porch packages. That's definitely the flip side. Mike, do you know why he was doing that? I don't know. I just saw the video of him doing it.
Starting point is 00:31:02 You did watch the video? See, I didn't click the video. I don't even understand the point of that. Maybe he's upset at the people. Maybe he didn't get $1,000. Maybe he just had to go. Well, okay, that is not a way to get $1,000, though. Well, this is a good story for this guy.
Starting point is 00:31:17 Nice job. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. Bobby Bones Show. Bonehead. This story comes to us from San Antonio, Texas. A woman was upset. I don't know. She was tired of her Bible. She went out in the backyard and said, you know what, I'm not going to throw it in the trash, I'll just burn it. So she burned it. The wind picked up. There goes the flames, and it burned down the duplex.
Starting point is 00:31:41 Oh, no. Wow. I mean, I guess burned down caused $150,000 worth of damage. At least burnt up. Yeah. Huh. I mean, I'm angry at her for different reasons. It's all the same time. You too. Why are you going to be burning a Bible? What? Secondly. you know, is that the big man upstairs going? Oh, right. Good being.
Starting point is 00:32:00 Yeah, exactly. All right, just don't burn stuff in the backyard if you're not prepared to be able to put it out quickly. No. You know? Be responsible. And don't burn Bibles. What's wrong with you? All right, that's it.
Starting point is 00:32:13 I'm lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day. Eddie came through with a must win last week, but he's got to do it again. Morgan number two is still in the lead, four to three as we play to five. If she wins, she will hear this song right here. You may know it as we are the champions. It's time to play Elder versus Millennial with Eddie, our oldest. 41 years old.
Starting point is 00:32:37 And Morgan, our youngest. 27 years old. As they battle it out in generational knowledge. Up first, he is the dad of four. I call him the Hispanic who don't panic. When he was a baby, the president was Jimmy Carter. And if he wins today, we'll think he's that much smarter. It is producer Eddie, everybody.
Starting point is 00:32:52 Got it. His opponent, she runs our digital. She's our social media superstar. She can't wait to get the vaccine so she can go back to the bar. It's Morgan number two. Eddie, you're up first. These are all questions that Morgan number two will know. I need these buns.
Starting point is 00:33:09 How many can you get right from her generation? Question number one. Which Hemsworth brother was formerly married to Miley Cyrus? Liam Hemsworth and... Who's the other one? Dang it. Liam and Noel. No, those are Gallagher brothers.
Starting point is 00:33:31 That would be Oasis. Liam and Hemsworth. Luke Hemsworth. Boones, I don't know the other one, so I have to go Liam. Is that your answer? I have to go Liam. I don't know the other one. The answer is Liam Hemsworth.
Starting point is 00:33:45 Yeah! Chris is the other one that's in the Avengers movies. That's Thor. Yes. Okay, got it. The Flash. Supergirl and Star Girl
Starting point is 00:33:56 are all superhero shows on what TV network? Yeah, CW. Correct. Come on! On fire today. Which member of the Jonas Brothers is the only one
Starting point is 00:34:06 not to have a kid? For you to think about that, here's a clip of sucker by the Jonas Brothers. Which member of the Jonas Brothers is the only one not to have a child? I don't know if Joe has one
Starting point is 00:34:25 or Nick has one. I know Jonathan has one. I don't think there's a Jonathan. I think that's new kids on the block, bud. Jonathan. Or, uh, Boop. David Jones. He's like, I think Noel.
Starting point is 00:34:36 Noel Jonas. No, that's Oasis. I don't think, hmm. I don't think Nick has a kid. Nick Jonas. He's the, yeah, yeah, Nick Jonas. Joe, he's married and stuff.
Starting point is 00:34:51 Nick? Oh, okay. Nick's married. Nick's married, too, but I don't think he has a kid. Okay, is that your answer? Give me Nick. So Joe is married to the girl from Game of Thrones. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:00 They just had a baby. Yeah. Kevin. Kevin, not Jonathan. I think they have kids. Maybe two kids? Oh, he was the first one to have a bunch of kids. And Nick Jonas is the answer.
Starting point is 00:35:10 Come on. There he is. Anyway, three for three. That's strong. That's strong. Morgan, you have to go three for three. Yeah, this isn't good. Big Papa, hypnotize, and juicy.
Starting point is 00:35:26 We're all songs by what 90s rapper? here's a hook of juicy. Can you repeat the titles one more time? Oh man. Big Papa, hypnotize, and juicy, were all songs by What 90s rapper? I feel like that's Biggie, Notorious B-I-G. Is that your answer?
Starting point is 00:36:03 Yeah, I think so. That is correct. Nice. On the show Home Improvement, what was Tim the Tollman Taylor's Neighbor's name? Oh, he did that all thing, right? I think he was over the fence. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:16 On the show, home improvement, what was Tim the Toolman Taylor's neighbor's name? Tim. It was behind a fence. Oh, man. Oh, man. I should know this. My dad made me watch this all the time.
Starting point is 00:36:34 You don't see like the top of his head? Yeah, and he wore the little bucket hat. Oh, I can see him. I don't think I know his name, though. Steve. Is your name Steve? Is that your name? answer? Yeah, Steve.
Starting point is 00:36:47 It is not Steve. It is Wilson. Your final question you would have got here. Before landing his own show, Steve Wilcoast worked as a security guard on what daytime talk show? Daytime... I... Um...
Starting point is 00:37:04 Ellen? No, Ellen's incorrect. Funny, would you have known that? Yeah, Jerry. Jerry Springer. That's correct. Well, I got to say, it is now 4 to 4 going into next week. Winner takes out. Eddie is our winner today. Wow. I was worried, Bones, but we got this.
Starting point is 00:37:22 You came strong. Did you know Wilson, now that I say that, Morgan? Yeah, I do. But like, Wilson, to me, still reminds me of the Tom Hanks movie. The volleyball. Yeah, so it was there, but. Eddie, congratulations. Thanks, Mom. You are the winner this week in Elder versus Millennium.
Starting point is 00:37:39 One more next week. Let's go. All for the Marbles. For all the Marbles. Whatever you say that. All right, the segment's called Willett Pizza Lunchbox? You went to a grocery store and you bought what?
Starting point is 00:37:53 I bought a frozen de jornos because it's not delivery. It's de jornos. A frozen one. A frozen de jrots. My favorite. Oh, does I say frozen? Sorry. But yeah, so I went to the frozen food and I got it and then I went to the pizza places.
Starting point is 00:38:08 Now list to me the pizza places you went to. I hit up Papa Johns, Pizza Hut, Domino's, Little Caesars, Jets pizza. The Bigs. And you went in and said what? I went in and just said, hey, and I had a different line every time. One time, you know, maybe my oven was broken.
Starting point is 00:38:25 Other times, just, hey, I bought this and I really want some pizza for dinner. So I was hoping you could cook it in your nice of oven because you guys have like the perfect heat. So basically you took a frozen pizza place and said, hey, I don't want yours where you cook mine. Yes. Now the question is, and I don't know what happened yet, do you? No. Do you? No.
Starting point is 00:38:40 You guys want to all put a dollar in? Yes. Okay. First, but the first question is, did anyone cook it? Eddie? No, nope. Zero percent. I think maybe one worker thought this is hilarious, like the best part of their day, so they cook it. But they just try and they don't want the boss to find out. But they do it.
Starting point is 00:38:58 But you say there's a yes. Oh, you're crazy, Amy. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm also going to go no for a dollar. No chance, right? I just think all five of them would, like the people working there would get in trouble unless they recognized them. Let me ask you that. Oh, you had a mask on though.
Starting point is 00:39:12 So? Did anyone recognize you? Zero people recognize me. Okay. I'm still going to sit with no. You're no? Yeah, no. You're yes.
Starting point is 00:39:19 Yep. Okay. First up, Papa Johns. I was just wondering if you could cook this for me. We're not allowed to. No, no, I mean, just like stick it on your oven. Yeah, we're not allowed to do that. I'll give you a slice.
Starting point is 00:39:31 No. Not going to do it. All right. She said, he said, cook it for me. She said, we're not allowed to do it. He goes, no, no, no, no, no, just stick it in your oven. Yeah, because none is going to work. That's the same thing.
Starting point is 00:39:42 Cook it. No, no, no, no, no, cook it. Just put on that little rack there They get heat underneath it Next up is Pizza Hut Here you go Did you bring us to Diorno Is it a Pizza Hut?
Starting point is 00:39:54 Oh yeah I was just No it's not delivery Yeah I was just wondering If you could cook that for me We actually cannot Because it's not our pizza Tell everybody Everybody close their eyes
Starting point is 00:40:03 And I won't tell anybody I can't Okay oh for two My gosh Pizza said no Next up Domino's Here we go
Starting point is 00:40:12 Oh yeah I was just wondering if you could cook this pizza for me? We are actually not allowed to put anything forward in the oven. I'm sorry. No, no, it's not foreign. No, it's from America.
Starting point is 00:40:20 Like, it's pizza. No, I understand. But we're not allowed to put anything that's not our food. We're just not allowed to. I'm sorry. Okay, what if I put it in? Can you let me put it in? Pretty pleased with sugar on top?
Starting point is 00:40:32 We can't do it. It's not our product, so we're not a good. All right. Thanks, man. It ain't foreign. I got it down the road. It's from America. Hey, Bones.
Starting point is 00:40:43 I forgot. Little Caesars is in there too. Little Caesars and Jets are still remand. Oh, I might change my answer. You can't. You can't change my. Okay. Here is Jets pizza.
Starting point is 00:40:53 Here you go. How's going, man? I was just wondering if you could cook my pizza for me. Just like sticking the oven, like through your oven. Hey, can we just put this in the area? No. You can't do it for me? If I was manager, I would do it, but, you said.
Starting point is 00:41:13 No. All right. Thank you, man. Thanks. I like that guy. Yeah, see? He checked. He checked and then was like, hey, man, I would do it. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:41:22 If he was manager. Only one left, Little Caesars. Oh, man, this could be it. This could be it. Why would you think Little Seasers would be it? Oh, I go to Little Seasers all the time, and I see who works there. A bunch of kids that don't care about anything. They serve the hot and ready.
Starting point is 00:41:37 They don't even mess with you. They're like, it's right there, man. Get it if you want. So they don't care. These guys could be the ones. Okay. Here is little. Amy is the only one that said yes.
Starting point is 00:41:45 Yes. Here is Little Caesars. How's going, man? I was wondering if you guys could cook this for me. You want us to stay dead peace in Ireland? Yeah. Steve and I guess. You can do that for me?
Starting point is 00:41:59 Oh, man. Thank you so much. Do I need open or you open it? Oh, thank you, man, so much. I knew it. Little Caesar's for the win. Wow. Amy wins the game.
Starting point is 00:42:11 Good job, Amy. Lunchbox, what did you think when they said yes? Were you shocked? I mean, I was blown. alone away, I could not stop smiling under my mask and I didn't want to laugh because I didn't want them to know it was a joke. But dude put in the oven. And so what did you do when he cooked it? He put in a little Caesar's box. How long do you have to wait for that? Oh, like a couple minutes. Like I mean, literally just sticks it on the thing and it goes through. So fast.
Starting point is 00:42:33 It's a hardcore oven, huh? Yeah. Wow. Did you take it home and that's a job for dinner? I ate it, yeah. And I even offered them a slice, but they didn't want any. That's funny. They said yes to that. But it was great. And there was a customer waiting. They thought I was, they thought I was lost my mind. Well, there's your answer. Will it pizza? Yes, it will. Nice job.

Starting point is 00:46:34 All he was wanting to do was love her. But now they want to cancel Pepe La Pue. One of the cutest, most lovable, sweetheart to see cartoons that they've ever had. Totally unfair. Yesterday I was talking about how people were upset that Dr. Seuss was being canceled. And I said, Dr. Seuss isn't being canceled. Dr. Seuss's own self is going, hey, we shouldn't print this book anymore because we don't like how it is. Nobody's canceling Dr. Seuss. Dr. Seuss is saying, we're going to stop doing this ourselves, right? And then I talked about Mr. Potato Head. They're still a Mr. Potato Head. They just have the
Starting point is 00:47:06 company now being potato head so they can have Mr. and Mrs. Potatoe. But people are led in the news channels tell him what to be upset about without actually reading the stories. The Pepe Lepeu, they're trying to cancel him. Oh, for real, for real. Well, yeah, because they say Pepe Lepeu won't be appearing in a Warner Bros. Space Jam sequel. He's been removed because they say what he was doing was personifying a culture. Listen, I don't know anything about Pepe Lepeu. I don't know anything about Scunx.
Starting point is 00:47:33 Yeah, here's the thing about Pelepew. I don't care enough to fight for it either way. You know his scenario, though, right? Yeah, the cat. had a white streak paint paint streak down her. Accidentally. And so he's a skunk and he's trying to convince her to love him. Yes, he loves her because.
Starting point is 00:47:50 But he's like smelling her. I think he's being a little too aggressive. Yeah, and I think that's why they're saying. Okay. But I don't know enough about it to come here and fight. I'm not fighting for Pepe Lepeot. You and I catch you making the same amount of Pepe Lepeu. Because I haven't seen enough of it to understand.
Starting point is 00:48:05 With Mr. Potato Head, I went and investigated that. You did research. You stand firm in that, yeah. Yeah, it's fine. It should be potato head the brand, and they're still a Mr. Potato Head. With Dr. Seuss, I just think it's weird people are going. We can't believe they're canceling Dr. No, nobody's canceling Dr. Seuss. Dr. Seuss is canceling itself, and only parts of it that they didn't agree with from the past.
Starting point is 00:48:23 Pepe Lepew, I got no comment. If we look at it and go, that's inappropriate, then that's inappropriate. And he's French too, so who knows? Like, right, come on. Born in the USA or nothing, you know what I'm saying? Thank you, Maria. And shout out to a customer at Chick-fil-A in Atlanta because they went there with their weapon
Starting point is 00:48:45 and they were armed and they happened upon a robbery. A guy held, like, his gun up to the cashier person at Chick-fil-A and demanded money. No word on what he got or anything, but he was seen fleeing the restaurant with his weapon. And a customer that was there had a gun, and fired two shots and then held him at gunpoint until police arrived. He fired two shots?
Starting point is 00:49:07 At Chick-fil-A? Think of, like, all the places you would least. likely expect to be in a shootout. Chick-fil-A is at the top of the list. I feel I'm a little torn on this. Right, because why? When I read the story, I thought he caught him in the middle of the robbery and held a gun on him. Oh, he's coming out.
Starting point is 00:49:23 I was like, that's awesome. If the guy's already fleeing and you're shooting, but if that fleeing guy's not threatening anybody, don't you just let him go and just call the cops? I would be afraid I would shoot somebody. And I feel comfortable with me with that gun, but I'd still be afraid. Oh, that's tough. So what happened with the guy? He hit the gun legally, by the way, the good guy.
Starting point is 00:49:45 He did, and he ended up holding the suspect down until police could arrive, and I assume the guy just got arrested. I'm glad it all worked out, good for that guy. I just assumed that story was he came up and stopped the robbery. I didn't know the guy was fleeing, and he shot at him. That's tough. No, it's quite the decision to make. Like, you don't have to do that.
Starting point is 00:50:04 Maybe I would just chase him in my car and, like, stay close and then call the cops? I don't think I'm firing. I don't think I'm firing a gun. But I don't even think that that's your responsibility either. You're putting your life in danger and then you are an expert car chaser person. I don't think so, bones. Pretty good. Although the potholes now are terrible.
Starting point is 00:50:21 Oh, terrible. Oh, yeah, because of the winter storm. Because it freezes. You know what happens, right? Yeah. Okay. Explain the thing. So the water seeps through the pavement and freezes and then breaks it up.
Starting point is 00:50:31 He did know. Yeah. I know, dude. All right, good. All right, what else, Amy? So, Bobby, I have a scenario for you. You've got a clogged drain at your house. do you a fix it yourself don't even look up how to get it exactly right you just do what you do
Starting point is 00:50:44 b you look it up on youtube tutor yourself on how to fix it or c you call a repairman i do a because i have liquid plumber and i just dump a whole bottle in there and then i see what happens because most times when i dump the bottle in there i don't know what happens down there but it clears up yeah it works for you yeah like that's what i would do a i would not do b where i'm youtubeing i would do a and then go to c because I know once I get involved, things start to go worse than they began with. Well, majority of America, and I was using clogged drain as an example, but majority of America just wants to, like, call a repair person to come do it right the first time because they feel like they'll mess it up.
Starting point is 00:51:20 Then people, then a number of people will YouTube how to do it, but not a lot of people want to fix it themselves. Well, mine's not a fix, right? Mine's... A temporary, like a band-a- Well, mine's if it's not that messed up. If it is that messed up, like right now I'm having to learn how, on YouTube, how to make these tree climbing knots because when I'm doing this weekend,
Starting point is 00:51:40 we're shooting the final episode of my show, I have to climb these really tall trees based on the knots that I've created. And I'm like, if I might die. These knots are crazy that you have to learn. You're up there and you're building these knots so you can stand on it to climb another rock. How are you going to know you did it right? I guess if I get back down to land and die. Great. Perfect.
Starting point is 00:51:57 Yeah. But I'm doing it on YouTube. Yeah. So. Do it yourself. All right. What else, Amy? Love You Like You Used to by Russell Dickerson is officially the longest running top 10 song
Starting point is 00:52:07 and radio history. He beat out Lone Stars and Mays. So what Russell did was he performed a mashup of the two songs. I don't know how you do what you do. I'm so in love with you. It just keeps getting better. I want to spend the rest of my life's side forever and ever as I don't love you like I used to. That's pretty cool. It is cool. I wonder how he was going to do that. Yeah, yeah, yeah, good idea.
Starting point is 00:52:49 I'm Amy. That's my pile. That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good. So for the last year, nursing home visits are out of the question for a lot of loved ones. And this one daughter really wanted to visit her dad. So she took a second job at the nursing home where he lived.
Starting point is 00:53:14 His name is Harold. He's 87 years old. And he said that seeing his daughter walk through that door, is one of the happiest days of his life, her taking that job. And it's not glamorous either. She has a full-time job at a printing company. But then at his place, she vacuum, sweeps, cleans dishes. But after her shift, she gets to go hang out with her dad.
Starting point is 00:53:33 And that's awesome. That's her way to see them. So shout out Lisa Racin for thinking of that and getting to see your dad. It's a creative, clever way. Although she says she could be taking yoga class or a happy hour with friends with this time, but she would rather be seeing him. Well, and you know she's doing a good job at that job. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:49 She's not going to take that and be crappy at her job. So they also get a good employee, too. That's a good story. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. Tomorrow on the show, we have a super fan coming in. She's a super fan of an artist. She's so funny on TikTok.
Starting point is 00:54:05 We're going to bring her in. That's all I'm going to say for now. I think you guys will like that. I don't know how we're going to tease this. Because if we say what we're doing, she'll know. You know? Friday morning conversation is a big musical event. event. We'll call it that. Okay. Okay. That's happening tomorrow. Let's go over and do the investigative
Starting point is 00:54:22 corny right now with Amy. The morning corny. What is a doctor who specializes in Adam's apples called? What's a doctor who specializes in Adam's apples called? 90 seconds starts now. Throat. Dr. Adam? Dr. Adam? Adam. Neck. A neck. Nectarine. MD. Oh, oh, MD.
Starting point is 00:54:53 A doctor who specializes in Adams apples. Oh, apples. I think it's apples has to be in the joke. Granny Smith. Oh, Dr. Jack.
Starting point is 00:55:03 Adam. Apple Jacks. Adam. Adam's apples. Who eats apples? Doctor. Neck. Neck.
Starting point is 00:55:17 Neckterine? He said, Nectarine. It's because the word neck's in the word neck's in. That's only word that has neck. Neck. Neck.
Starting point is 00:55:26 Neckter. Adams. A neckologist. A necologist. Doctor at. Huh? 30 seconds. This is not good, guys.
Starting point is 00:55:38 Amy read the question again? What is a doctor who specializes in Adam's apples called? A neck. M.D. Throat. Who has? Neck. Guys.
Starting point is 00:55:50 Adams. Yeah. Guys. Neck. Adam. Neck. Apple. neckology
Starting point is 00:55:58 guys men five seconds oh my gosh you're so close we are neckology men men men knowledge oh my gosh
Starting point is 00:56:10 y'all had it in different pieces like lunchbox is over here yelling guy and you were yelling neckologist guyologist oh guy neckologist okay hit it
Starting point is 00:56:23 sorry guys The morning corny. What is a doctor who specializes in Adams Apples called? Just tell us. A gynecologist. Guy necologist come out of my mouth and we don't hit Gynecologist. Guy necologist.
Starting point is 00:56:43 All right. Sorry, guys. That's on me. That's on me. Y'all were so close. I got us 90. I couldn't close it out. We didn't have a good closer.
Starting point is 00:56:52 All right, Amy. Thank you very much. Next, Amy. Lunchbox, you still playing the lottery every two weeks? Absolutely. I pay $150 every paycheck. So $300 a month. I thought it used to be $100 a month. It did.
Starting point is 00:57:04 He went up. Oh, because people have been winning. Yeah, there's been bigger jackpots, and so I just felt like, man, maybe I'm not investing enough. And so I just... Do you think, and again, we all have what we spend our money for entertainment on? This is entertainment to you, though, right? No, it's an investment.
Starting point is 00:57:19 It's like the stock market. Like, you have no idea with it. No, no, listen, the stock market, you put it in there, taking a chance that something's going to go up, right? But you put it in believing in the history of a company who's running the company, what's happening in the future. You're speculating based on events what happens with this product. Correct.
Starting point is 00:57:37 In the lottery, I am putting my money in based on recent events of people winning and hitting jackpots in the history of the lotto. They always give out winnings every time. Okay, I would argue that it's not the same but. And I would also say if it's for entertainment, like I'm not going to ever be like, don't do that. if it's for investment purposes, I would say don't do that. I understand, but everybody wants to invest their money different ways.
Starting point is 00:58:01 Like, I want to do it this way, you want to do it that way. But you have two kids, right? Don't you think $150 every two weeks, $300 a month, over $3,000 a year? Okay. Multiply that by how many years? 20 years? What's that? They're college.
Starting point is 00:58:15 60 grand. 60 grand, okay? Wow, that's a lot of money. With interest. More than 60 grand. So 62 grand, because you make like 30 cents interest a month. imagine $100 million, which one's better? But which one's more likely to happen?
Starting point is 00:58:32 The $65,000 for college versus the lottery. Because you're playing the mega millions and powerball twice weeks. That's four times a week times how many years, how many weeks are in a year? I don't even know. You know one doesn't affect the other, right? Like you playing this week has no effect on you playing next week. I'm just saying. 52 weeks?
Starting point is 00:58:50 Times 30 years or whatever you guys, 20 years. That's a lot of change. chances to win. That's a lot better than $60,000. Did I say that wrong? About weeks? No, he was just trying to figure out how many weeks in a year. North Carolina man collected a $1 million lottery prize from a scratch-off ticket. Just seven months after he took home a $4 million jackpot. Oh, wow. What? You see what I'm saying? You think this guy just quit because he won $4 million? No, he said, you know what? I got to keep going. I bet the guy wasn't a hardcore lottery player.
Starting point is 00:59:16 Probably just played a little bit and lucked out. No chance. It is all based on luck. All luck. It's 100% luck 1-0% percentage luck. I can't believe you guys think it's all luck. What else is going to be? What skill is there? I mean, it's sort of like when you go to the roulette table.
Starting point is 00:59:37 That's luck. No, and people... Rulet is the lucky, yes. And people write down the numbers and they say, these numbers are hot. That means, oh, these numbers are coming up. So you've got to look at the lot of, oh, maybe 23 hadn't hit in a while. So you pick 23 on the next mega millions.
Starting point is 00:59:50 Okay. Well, I'm just letting you know. I got hit twice, big, big dollar. Hey, guess what? He turned that 60,000 into 5 million. Starting point is 01:11:40 Huggies or hugies pull-ups, hugies. Let me know what's your answer? Right now? Yeah. Let me give it to you right now. I don't know. Huggies.
Starting point is 01:11:50 Eddie, what would you have guessed? Hugies. The answer is huggies. There we go, Amy. Okay. Yeah. We have one left. One left.
Starting point is 01:11:59 One left. Bubba. Bubba. Bubba, Bubba. If Amy gets this, you win and she wins. Come on, Amy, you got it. Bubba, would you know in the huggies one? I would have had to guess.
Starting point is 01:12:13 Would you have guess huggies? Yep. Okay. I trust him. Good one, Bubba. Yeah, of course. Bubba's a man of many words. You just tell you how it is.
Starting point is 01:12:23 Okay. Amy. Yeah. Your final slogan. Yeah. Be all that you can be. $50 make me holla. Wait, what?
Starting point is 01:12:34 Why would you say that? Why would you say $50 make me holla? Do you know what that even means? It's not good, Amy. It's not a good thing. Okay, never mind. Not good, you back that up. That's some kind of institutional stuff inside of you.
Starting point is 01:12:49 No, no, no. You just never even knew. No, I didn't know. I just meant like you're going to be paying me $50. Okay. Because you're supposed to be all that you can be in the Army. Is it the Marines? Lach, is it the Marines?
Starting point is 01:13:08 Have I already answered? Be all that you can. No, no. Marines is. more hardcore than that. Marines is like fight, grind, repeat. No, that's me. Is that the Marines? Every Marine right now is like,
Starting point is 01:13:21 be all that you can be. I need an answer. Oh my gosh. I need an official answer. I don't know. Technically, is the Marines in the Army? No. Excuse me? I know. I know. I know your husband's in the Air Force. That doesn't allow you to get a... No, I know. I know. I know. I just didn't
Starting point is 01:13:37 know. I'm just trying to figure out why now I'm confused because I was so confident in the Army. Army. All you have to do is get this one and you win. It's Army. And by the way, guys, if you didn't know, $50 will make a holla. Yeah, I mean, you already have to be a hollop. I take that back. I take that back. Be all that you can be in the Army.
Starting point is 01:13:59 Your answer is? Army! The answer is the Army. Army! Army! Army wins. Oh, wow. Amy wins. Bubba wins. You went 18 for 18.
Starting point is 01:14:12 Yes. Okay. Bubba. Yes. All right. You're going to have a great day. I am. That's right.
Starting point is 01:14:21 Thanks for believing in me. Yes. Always. I know you had it. Thank you. All right, Bubba. Hang on second. We'll get you this card.
Starting point is 01:14:28 The other two, because there were 20 total. All right, let me see. What would you do for a? Condyke bar. Correct. Wow. Would you know that one?
Starting point is 01:14:35 I don't think so. Wow. Oh, they're so good. Liberty, Liberty, Liberty. Mutual. Yeah, Liberty Mutual. You would have gone 20 for 20. Wow.
Starting point is 01:14:43 Amen. When did your daughter tell you she had an interest in doing school plays? Oh, she has for a while, but there's an audition that came up. So she's finally going for it. Is it for a specific play? Yes, high school musical. Oh, for literal, they're doing high school musical. Yes.
Starting point is 01:15:06 Her middle school is doing the high school musical play. So I told her to go through and listen to the songs from the play or the whatever, the show. the movie, and pick out one to audition with. She listened to everything. I don't like any of it. So she brought to me the song she thinks she should audition with. Well, they let her pick whatever song to audition with. So it doesn't have to be one from the actual show.
Starting point is 01:15:31 No, but I thought that would be in her favor. Could she sing? I think it's fine. She could do the play. Like she wants to act and sing and dance. Like that was on her vision board for 2021, all those things. and run track and read and do good at school. But yeah, I think this is a way for her to tackle a couple of those things.
Starting point is 01:15:53 Okay, she has chosen what song to perform? Christina Aguilera, Jeannie in a Bottle. Now, to be fair, I was 19 or so when this song came out. I never took it as a dirty song. I was literal about a genie in a bottle. And I think as a kid, we... Oh, yeah, she's like, I'm a genie and a bottle, baby. She's like, don't touch me the bad way.
Starting point is 01:16:18 I mean, she says all the lyric. When you sing it back out loud, you're like, oh gosh. But yes, I sang it as an 18-year-old and didn't think anything like that. Did you tell her that the song? No. It's kind of. Nope. I just said, I don't know that that's the song we should go with.
Starting point is 01:16:34 But ultimately, it is up to her. I don't know what we're going to do. How do you guys feel about her singing Jeannie in a bottle at her? Well, her school let her sing that song, I guess. I guess we'll find out. I don't even want to email the teacher and say, hey, this is this okay? I mean, the auditions are sent in virtually so you can make your audition tape at home. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:16:56 So, I mean, she wants to go big. She already, you know, our friend Brittany Spencer, who, you know, works helps her a lot, like with her hair. And, like, she's like a mentor to her of sorts. And so she's like, Mama, I would like a guitar player. Do you think Brittany would be in my audition video? I'm like, well, she's pretty busy, but let me see. So, I don't know. Do we have a problem with her singing Jeannie in a bottle in her video, Eddie?
Starting point is 01:17:18 I don't think the school would care. It's an audition. Would you let your 13-year-old? No, no, no, so that's what I was going to say. If I had a daughter 13 years old or my son wanted to do that? Uh-uh, sorry, but pick another song. See, I don't think it's a big deal. I think if you make it a big deal, it becomes a big deal.
Starting point is 01:17:35 Because I just never thought of it as being a dirty song. Right. I agree. You know? Listen, it was either Christina Aguil, or some Ariana Grande song. Oh, 34, 35. Oh, yeah. And so, yeah.
Starting point is 01:17:48 This is not any better. And that's like current, present day, weird songs that little girls sing. Yeah. Like, you know what I mean? It's just interesting. I have no problem with it. Eddie said you wouldn't let yours. I wouldn't.
Starting point is 01:18:03 If you guys want to call and hop in on this conversation, 877-Bobby, what are you leaning toward? Her doing the song that she feels comfortable doing. This is her choice, and I also don't want to put into her head that a song means a certain thing. Because honestly, she does hear, it's a genie in a bottle. You rub a bottle the right way. And then the genie comes out and you get your wishes. Right, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:18:26 It's like Aladdin. Right, right. A big blue genie. Right. And that's it. Will Smith does the live action version of. And that's it. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:18:33 Right, because then that opens up this whole conversation of, well, what does she mean by that? And like, I don't want to talk about that. You're leaning toward yes. Yes. I vote yes. Eddie votes, no. You guys call us 877-77 Bobby. The Bobby Bone Show is proud to be supported by Grand Canyon University,

Robin Cooper is a security guard at Greece Athena High School in Rochester, New York, and she's kind of hanging out by the cafeteria during lunchtime,
Starting point is 01:22:27 and she notices a student is turning red, maybe kind of having trouble breathing. So she looks at him like, whoa, what's up? What's up? Realizes he's choking. Oh gosh. So she kind of just kicks into, like, rescue mode, picks them up, turns her around, does the Heimlich maneuver on him, and he spits out his peanut butter and jelly sandwich, and he's like, whoa, how did that happen?
Starting point is 01:22:44 It's like kind of crazy. She saved the guy, and she's being called a hero. But like every hero, she says, I am not a hero, just doing my job. Well, not every hero. Some heroes are like, yes, I would like all the accolades. Yeah, I guess Superman does say that. He's spelled my name Jay. Oh, hey.
Starting point is 01:22:57 That's awesome. That's what it's all about right there. That was Tell Me Something Good. A couple of segments ago, Amy was talking about her daughter. And her daughter is going to audition for high school musical at her school. But she wants to sing Christina Aguilera, a genie in a bottle, which as a kid, when I was a teenager in that song came out,
Starting point is 01:23:15 I didn't think anything about it. I just thought it was about a genie trying to get out of the bottle. Right. However, as an adult, I kind of now know what it's about. But you said you're going to let her do it. Yeah, this is her choice. I feel as though the school might be like, did your parents not give you a recommendation for a song?
Starting point is 01:23:34 But this is her, and she's innocent. She sees it as a fun, cute song. so why ruin that for her? You got some calls, obviously. Melly in Arkansas, you are on the Bobby Bone Show. What do you think about this? I'm kind of torn. I feel like I wouldn't let my child do it,
Starting point is 01:23:51 but when I was a kid, I wanted to sing the song. It went like, boom, boom, boom, I want you in my room so we can spend the night together in my room. And my mom let me do it. She was like, go for it, if you want to sing that song. And, of course, I had no idea what it meant. but I feel like me like now I'm torn
Starting point is 01:24:12 like I want to let my kid live their dream out of seeing whatever song but at the same time I'm kind of like you should probably not do that song Do you think you're a worst person for Boom Boom Boom Boom I want you in my room Right you're not right No
Starting point is 01:24:28 I'm glad I chickened out because I would not want to see that video when I'm older I think it'd be hilarious Yeah I go to Legacy Box You loaded up. Turned on Instagram. Hey, thank you, Melly. We appreciate that call.
Starting point is 01:24:44 I hope you have a good day. Thank you, you too. Bye-bye. James and Kansas, you're on the show. James, what's happening? Well, my opinion, good morning, radio. My opinion, Amy, if there's another choice of list,
Starting point is 01:25:00 I would say you should pick it because I think it would be, if you think it's inappropriate, you should pick something for her that's appropriate. My daughter did pageants and so some of the songs that I've heard for their kids and up, yeah, I would definitely just, it's your choice, but I was that her to do that you just pick, he pick it.
Starting point is 01:25:23 Okay. I know, I'm just not a stage mom. Like, I don't know that I. James, are you a stage dad? Yes, I am. Okay. My dad's, my daughter has been doing page since he was three. Well, I appreciate that call.
Starting point is 01:25:36 Thank you for adding your input there. All right. Thank you. Thank you. Hey, let's do one more. This is Randy in Louisiana. Hi, Randy. How are you? Hey, how are you all?
Starting point is 01:25:47 Good. What's happening? My opinion, my personal opinion, I think as adult we sexualize everything nowadays. As a young mom, I'd be for it. I grew up with the song. I have one little one and one on the way. I think we just as adults sexualize everything now. It is a sexual soul.
Starting point is 01:26:14 I mean, even the writer did. I mean, it's... But I don't think we're sexualizing in a way it wasn't meant to be sexualized, but it is a sexual song. Right, and to clarify, too, she's not going to be dressed, you know, sexy while doing it. Like, that would be... I draw the line there. I do agree with about 60% of the sentiment, which says, go for it.
Starting point is 01:26:36 Again, it's pretty split. I'm looking at it, but it's you being the mom. Right, because again, for her, she doesn't understand. It's the teachers that may be watching the audition tape. They're going to be like, does she really choose Jeannie in a bottle? Well, thank you, Randy, for your call. You guys can go over to Facebook and put your opinion up there.
Starting point is 01:26:55 Just search for the Bobby Bone show. Now it is time for the news. Bobby's Big. Story. It's not often I say, you know what? I love what those folks in Washington, D.C. are doing. Oh. What they do.
Starting point is 01:27:10 But I'm saying it today. I'd mention this to you guys already, but there is a bipartisan Senate bill to make Sunday the final time change ever. Yes. Let's go. Wrap it up. Put a bow on it. I was saying four or six years ago, if I ran, I was going to run on this platform. Like, no more.
Starting point is 01:27:27 No more changing times. What's the problem? This doesn't help us? So, hopefully, we can stop this nonsense. changing our clocks forward and back. There's a new bipartisan bill in the Senate to make Sunday's time change the final one ever, so if this becomes a law before November, we'll just stay on daylight savings time for good. You won't change it back in the fall.
Starting point is 01:27:47 However, let's say it doesn't pass through November. Don't change it again and hold us forever in non-daylight savings time. Then just wait another half year and do it again. I feel like we need like a scientist to come, like tell us the real reason why we're doing this. Because really, there is no reason, right? It's not about the farmers. You'll hear that. I was reading the whole story yesterday.
Starting point is 01:28:06 It is not about the farmer. Sometimes, and there are four or five different theories as to why. Can you find us the official official theory, Mike? Because I need to hear an argument. Because without the argument, most, I feel like this is just the dumbest thing about it's changing our clocks back and forth. And I think that most normal people agree. So I need to know who this is benefiting.
Starting point is 01:28:25 Right. Okay, there's story number one. Let's do another one. Bobby's story. Well, it's now been one year since the most unusual day. AKA the day coronavirus got real. That day was March 11th, 2020. It feels like a lifetime ago.
Starting point is 01:28:41 It was on that day we found out that Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson had tested positive. We were like, we cannot believe it. They have it. We're all gonna die. You know? So that happened.
Starting point is 01:28:51 They were in Australia filming a movie. It was the same day where to me, when they suspended the NBA, they came up, they're on the court, and they're like, got to go. They shut everything down. It was like, huh? Yeah, that was big.
Starting point is 01:29:02 I remember being, it's this time of the SEC tournament. I went and had lunch with a friend of mine named Quinn Grovey who works at the University of Arkansas. I play quarterback there. And so we get together once or twice a year. And we're sitting there and he goes, man, I just don't know if this game's going to happen.
Starting point is 01:29:18 We're supposed to play that night. He gave me a Bobby, new Arkansas jersey. And I was like, man, this is the greatest day. I'm going to go watch Arkansas tonight. I was going to wear the jersey at the game too. I was pumped. And we're sitting at lunch. And the athletic director was supposed to come have lunch with us.
Starting point is 01:29:30 And he goes, he got called in a meeting. They're going to talk about what they're going to do in case this COVID continues. you know, to cancel or postpone things. About halfway through lunch, he goes, well, he's not coming. About three quarters away through lunch, you goes, they just canceled the whole tournament. Man. And I was like, wow, I was like, they're going to regret this.
Starting point is 01:29:50 They didn't. It was the right decision. It was the right decision. And what stinks is to Arkansas plays tomorrow and I can't be there. I've got to go shoot my final episode. I'm so bummed about that. But do you remember this day when all this stuff happened? Of course.
Starting point is 01:30:03 I remember all those things. And your eyes just continue to get bigger. Like, huh, we all went home. There was no more coming here. We were the first ones back, though, too. Oddly. We were like, we'll brave it. Our whole show is back. I've been back for like six months. Other shows are like, we're still in all of our homes.
Starting point is 01:30:22 How are you guys doing? We're like, oh, we got together for like three hours today. It was great. But yeah, one year ago today, that's it. Feels like forever ago. In other news, a California murder suspect mistakenly released from jail after a procedural error. I know. Mistaken? Imagine you're this guy.
Starting point is 01:30:39 You're like, uh. You don't say anything. You're looking around. Uh, Okay. You're like, cool, cool. You start whistling. Can you imagine?
Starting point is 01:30:50 A murder suspect in California was mistakenly released from jail Tuesday, prompting cops to shut down an L.A. highway during an hours-long manhunt. Stephen Manzo, who was charged with murder last March, was erroneously released due to a paperwork error. Are you kidding me? He had to play it cool the whole time. They're like, Manzo, come to the front. Okay, what did I do?
Starting point is 01:31:12 All right, looks like you've been freed. You're going to get... Yeah, of course. He stands taller. Pokes his chest out. Yeah, I'm waiting for you guys to call me up here. Wow, the 23-year-old was released from the county jail at 2 p.m. on Tuesday
Starting point is 01:31:23 was spotted 30 minutes later near the 101 freeway. A prosecutor on Monday dismissed and then refiled murder charges due to a procedural issue. So when they dismissed to refile the dismissals, the one that got caught up, they let him go.
Starting point is 01:31:42 Manzo of Hawaiian Guard is facing a murder charge July 2018 shooting. It's a bad thing. Is he still on the loose? Well, that's the thing. The deputy sought assistance from L.A. police to get Manzo back in custody, but he avoided being rearrested. The search for him ended at 5 p.m. So as of this story, we don't have him. Man, you know this guy.
Starting point is 01:32:04 He's like trying to put makeup over his neck tattoos. He's trying to live the right life. He's like, how do I get this Mike Tyson face tattoo off? I got his second chance. Yeah. Dang. Second chance, yeah. Hey, whoever messed that up, they get fired. This is the big one. Well, the problem is, I don't know there was a mess up.
Starting point is 01:32:20 They had to dismiss one to get the other one to start. I think it just got caught up, right? Right, that's what they're saying. They're saying, listen, the police department, we did not mess up. We got a note from the court. And the attorney did neither. Because they were really dismissing one to file a slightly different one. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:32:34 So the police are very adamant that they did not make a mistake because they got an order from the court. So they had to follow the paperwork. Yeah, whatever this mix-up was, now they learn from it. He's good in hiding. He's good at hiding. Let me say this. On the other side of the country, suspected murderer Christopher Bugs released from Rikers Island.
Starting point is 01:32:52 What? Why? An accused murder was mistakenly released from Rikers Island because of a clerical error. Guys. And jail officials waited 12 hours to notify the NYPD. Christopher Bugs 26 awaiting trial in a 2018 Brooklyn murder when a judge sentenced him to serve a new unrelated criminal contempt case. someone saw the new charge release bugs,
Starting point is 01:33:11 not realizing that he should have still been held on the murder charge. Corrections officials also waited 12 hours before they informed the NYPD of his accidental release. The city's Department of Correction confirmed that an inmate was prematurely released on Monday. He has a rap sheet. He was arrested for murder in 83. He was sentenced on two counts of first-degree manslaughter. And again, we don't have record him being caught either. Wow, he's old.
Starting point is 01:33:34 We got one on both sides. That's crazy. We're bi-coastal with our releasing murderers. and both of them just walked out I wouldn't have been able to play it cool I'd be like are you sure really yeah yeah I'd be like me really you look behind you
Starting point is 01:33:48 wait are you sure it's not bigs I'm bugs no it's bugs all right crazy huh alright and here you go as an update daylight savings time in the United States was not intended to benefit farmers contrary to popular belief
Starting point is 01:34:02 American farmers did not lobby for daylight saving to have more time in the fields in fact agriculture was deeply opposed to the time switch. The sun, not the clock, dictated farmer schedules, right? Because the sun's up the same amount of time anyway. The clock's man-made,
Starting point is 01:34:16 and we're just going 113. That's us doing that. But the clock's up, whatever. So, rather than rural interests, it's been urban entities such as retail outlets and recreational businesses
Starting point is 01:34:27 that have championed daylight saving over the decades. That's it? Uh-huh. Crazy, huh? Yeah, that makes no sense. And they make us go, well, if the farmers need it,
Starting point is 01:34:36 then it should. We start to feel, because we root for our, farmers. We need our farmers. They're a big part of American infrastructure. And we're like, you know what? I'll suck it up. If it's worth it, the farmers, worth it to us. And now we find out it wasn't for the farmers. They tricked us. Nah, let's
Starting point is 01:34:48 stop. Strip malls tricked us. We're done. Call it what it is. Okay, that's the news. Bobby's Story. We have a couple comments about daylight savings time. Rhonda in Florida is on. Hey, Rhonda, what's happening?
Starting point is 01:35:05 Yes, good morning, studio. Morning. Oh my gosh, I love y'all's show, first of all. And I just want you to know that I have been driving for an hour and have been calling in for an hour. So talk to you guys. Daylight saving time is definitely, I never understood it. And I'm so glad that, you know,
Starting point is 01:35:27 they're possibly going to pass the bill. I just never understood why we had it. You want to get reelected? Put that on your platform. That's what I would have done. I don't know anybody who's a... And I know everybody who fights for everything, even dumb things.
Starting point is 01:35:39 Nobody fights to keep changing the time. Nobody that I know. So, Rhonda, we're with you. I appreciate that call. Hey, thanks for hanging in there, too, and continue on a call. We love that you kept trying and now you're on. Oh, my gosh. No, Mom.
Starting point is 01:35:51 No hugs, Bobby. All right, I agree. All right, Rhonda, see you later. One more. Let's do Tim in South Dakota. Tim, what's going on? Hey, good morning, studio. Morning.
Starting point is 01:36:03 I am so happy to talk to you guys from Snowy, South Dakota. I wanted to call and give my two cents on the daylight savings time thing. I say push it forward and leave it. And that's because I own over 3,000 watches in a collection. And it is just so hard to change them all. Back and forth. I guess my question would be, would you change them all? Or would you only change it when you pulled it off to wear it or to show it?
Starting point is 01:36:30 Like you'd have to do. You can't go. Here's the problem. No, no, no. Bob, here's the problem. and I'm not obsessive, compulsive, or anything like that. It drove me nuts. I tried that.
Starting point is 01:36:40 It drove me nuts to lay there in the room next to them at night to sleep and think, oh, man, there's like 1,800 of them that are off. You are OCD. Coming from someone who has mild OCD symptoms, you are OCD. That's it. Don't tell me your daughter. Yes, you are. Yeah, because I would be able to sleep.
Starting point is 01:36:57 No, yes, you are. I cannot sleep if I think there's a drawer open. I have to walk every door, every drawer before I go to sleep. I have to check every single one of them. Right? I understand that as a small... He doesn't do that, though. But he can't sleep if a while... You're like me! You're crazy, man!
Starting point is 01:37:12 But good luck with that. You bet. All right, Tim. See you, bud. I appreciate it. You're welcome, man. Thank you for calling. I'm not OCD, but I can't lay next to a watch. It's an hour off. That's exactly OCD, buddy.

Starting point is 01:40:50 Caitlin and I were driving in the car yesterday and we have a newish dog, Eller, that we've had for a few months and she's doing some training. She's struggling a bit because we adopted her. She'd just been pulled off the street. She's a lot younger than we thought she was. So we're going through some stuff with her. However, we got in the back of the car. We're driving home. And I was talking about dogs because I've had a dog pretty much all of my life.
Starting point is 01:41:13 I've always been a big dog guy. And the first dog that I really had that I was told to take care of was a dog named Bradley. who was a Boston Terrier when I was about 12, 1112. But it was like the first one that I had to make sure and feed and water and bathroom. Everything was my responsibility. And I loved this dog so much. And it would sleep on my chest. It was a small Boston Terrier.
Starting point is 01:41:37 It was kind of the runt of the litter. But when he got around five or six years old, he started biting people. And he got really mean. And he would even wake up from a nightmare and bite me. Like he would have a nightmare and just bite into my skin. which I was fine with. I tried to get him right. Well, he bit my mom and put her in the hospital
Starting point is 01:41:56 with like the emergency room because he bid her so bad. Then he bit a neighbor. And then he bit... It was just a biting fest. We could not control. He was just biting, biting, biting. And so Arkansas, Keith, my stepdad had to take him. And we had a friend that lived...
Starting point is 01:42:09 One of his friends lived kind of on a big plot of land. And it was like, hey, we'll just take him and put him there because the cops were called on Bradley. And when the cops get called on a dog and they're aggressive, they take the dog and do they put them down. And so Keith took the dog and put him with a friend
Starting point is 01:42:27 who kind of had a farm kind of place. And I was telling Caitlin the story and I was like yeah, it was real bad but Keith sent him to his friend's house with the farm. And she was like, what? I was like, no. He'd send him
Starting point is 01:42:38 and he took Bradley and he sent him out to his friend that had a farm. She goes, who's the friend? I said, I don't know. He said, she said, did you been to this farm after to go see him? I was like, no. She goes, I don't, you know,
Starting point is 01:42:49 want to make you feel sad. Oh my God. She goes, I don't think that's what. I was like, no, for sure it did. I mean, I was like 15 whenever this happened. So I wasn't nine. Yeah. And I was like, no, no, no.
Starting point is 01:43:01 I said, let's call him. So I called Arkansas Keyes. I got him on the phone. I said, hey, man. He goes, what's up? I said, hey, what happened with Bradley? He's biting all those people. He goes, well, after he put your mom in the hospital,
Starting point is 01:43:11 we had to put him down. I was like, what? Not the farm. What? I said, there was no farm. He said, and then he started, He started laughing, remember, and that was even a story. He couldn't believe that I still believed that.
Starting point is 01:43:23 That's funny. And Kailen was sad for me. Like, 75% ever was sad for me that I lost my dog. I still think about that dog and I loved it so much, but it did get way mean, right? But she was like, that's every story on TV. That's every story that they take the dog and send it to a farm. She was like, how did you believe? I quote, she goes, I think you're one of the smartest people I've ever met, yet you are the dumbest person when it comes to things about when it's your dog and heart.
Starting point is 01:43:48 It makes sense. say dumbest, but she did say it, yeah. If it was positioned to you of like, hey, yeah, this dog would normally get put down, but we have a friend, luckily, that has a lot of lamb that can take it in. Hook, line, and sinker. I was in. I would believe that. I thought in my heart,
Starting point is 01:44:03 maybe he's still alive about there running around. Oh, no. So from my childhood, I came crashing down yesterday. Oh, sad again. So how are you? Yeah, you need to properly mourn this. Yeah, I've been, like, oddly
Starting point is 01:44:17 going, oh, Listen, I'm 40 now so that it shouldn't matter. Yeah, because he wouldn't be alive anyway today. But maybe he would. Maybe he'd be the greatest Boston Terrier ever. I just know I love that dog so much. And I really thought, I can't believe I was 15 and believed it. At 15, I was already going with life.
Starting point is 01:44:39 You were such an adult, yeah. Yeah. You weren't an average 15-year-old. And the fact that I never wanted to go to the farm and say, why did I not ask, can I go to the farm, this mystery friend and see him? Never. Maybe you're deeply inside of you, you knew he was dead and you're finally having to come to terms. No, it sounds like you had no clue.
Starting point is 01:44:55 I had no clue. He never wanted to go visit it. That's what I'm saying. I had no clue. If anyone else's childhood has been ruined recently. Here's our phone number, 877-77 Bobby. I was telling a story a second ago about being crushed. Yesterday I was in the car with Caitlin telling her about an old dog that I had named Bradley.
Starting point is 01:45:16 Bradley bit a bunch of people. there's multiple times they had to send them to this guy the Arkansas Keith News farm and I never saw him again but I was happy he lived a life at the farm and Kately goes I don't think that's a true story I think they lied to you
Starting point is 01:45:29 and I was like what? I called Arkansas Keith and he was like yeah they put him down and I was like I'm still distraught like I'm still mildly distraught so I asked if anyone else's childhood was a lie we have calls
Starting point is 01:45:42 can't wait Chris and Des Moines appreciate you calling Chris what's going on Not much, studio. How's it going? Going pretty good. What do you want to say? Yeah, so when I was six years old, my uncle who lives out in New York called me for my birthday, and, you know, it has New York caller ID on those old phone phones.
Starting point is 01:46:01 And I pick up the phone, and he pretends to be Derek Jeter. You know, I'm a huge Yankee, huge Derek Geter fan. And he's wishing me a happy birthday, and I get off the phone, and, you know, I'm shaking, I can't believe it. And for the better part of the next 13 or 14 years, I legitimately believe, Derek Jeter called me on my birthday. That's so bad. I was like, I'm telling my friends and all this and that. And then, you know, my bubble was finally burst by my mom, just kind of accidentally.
Starting point is 01:46:27 Like, I kind of brought it up. And she was like, yeah, no, that absolutely never happened. That was just out in New York, you idiot. I was like, what? That stinks, man. I feel your pain. Because not only are you sad that it didn't happen, you're sad that you were such an idiot. Like, it was like...
Starting point is 01:46:44 Yeah, no, I definitely should have seen. seen what was coming. Chris, I appreciate you sharing that story, man. Have a good day. Yeah, thanks for having me on, guys. All right, see you later. This is Abby in Missouri. Abby, thank you for calling the show.
Starting point is 01:46:58 What's going on? Hi, morning, studio. Morning. Hey, so mine's obviously not as traumatizing as finding out my childhood dog died. But when I was a kid, we carved pumpkins at Halloween, right? So every year our pumpkins had change inside of them. So as I grew older and had my own kids, I wound up sneaking change into their pumpkins because I couldn't figure out where my parents had got my pumpkins where the money had grown
Starting point is 01:47:26 inside of it. So this whole time as a kid, my parents told me that they set the money on top of the seed and it grew inside the pumpkin. I'm now 30 years old and I asked them how they do that. And I finally found out that my entire childhood was a lie until I was 30 years old and my parents just did exactly what I'm doing to my kids. That's funny And you're passing it down, right?
Starting point is 01:47:54 I'm dumb. Yeah. All right, Abby, I appreciate that. I relate. I feel you. I feel you. All right, Abby, bye-bye. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:48:02 Have a good day. You too. Good story. Stephanie in Oklahoma. You're on the Bobby Bone show. Stephanie, what do you want to say? I actually have a compacizing dog story as well. I was a child.
Starting point is 01:48:13 I had to give my dog away. And my parents would let me go visit it every afternoon. And one afternoon, it actually broke the chain and got run over by a car, and my dad saw this and didn't tell me. And the next day, I went to go visit it, and he told me that the dog ran away and was in love. Well, I was traumatized and wanted to find her, so he let me make lost dog flyers and hang up throughout a whole town, knowing that dog got hit by a car the day before. Yeah, that stinks, and you never heard back from your dog. Looking back now, are you a parent now?
Starting point is 01:48:47 I am a parent now Looking back now, do you wish your dad would have just said Hey, this is what happened to the dog And it would have hurt right then But you wouldn't have had to continue wondering if the dog was going to come back Or do you like what your dad did? No I have mixed emotions on it
Starting point is 01:49:06 I only have a one-year-old So I haven't really had to get to that point of life just yet Yeah, that's tough Well, we appreciate that story Thank you for sharing it with us Thank you All right, bye-bye Yeah, that's tough
Starting point is 01:49:19 I think I would have rather been told the dog got hit my car. All that work with the lost signs. And you're just always wondering. Like, is he back? Is he back? What do you think about that? You got four kids? I don't like that.
Starting point is 01:49:29 I probably wouldn't do that. Anything your kids are going to talk about in 15 years? I'm like, our dad, lie does. It's weird, man. If they were up to me, because my family, all they did was lie to me. But, like, my wife is just all about honesty. And she's just kind of led that with us to just, like, be honest with them, explain to them what's going on.
Starting point is 01:49:45 So we don't really lie that much to our kids. You guys can go to the Facebook page Add up Put up there whatever you want Same kind of story We'll put it up there Go search for Bobby Bone Show On Facebook
Starting point is 01:49:57 On Facebook Let me take one more call Not about that But this is Katie in California Who's on the phone Hey Katie how are you Hey I'm good How are you?
Starting point is 01:50:04 Good morning studio Morning What'd you like to say All right It's my daughter's 14th birthday On Sunday And she is a huge fan And I'm going upstairs
Starting point is 01:50:13 Right now to her room Could you guys wish her A happy birthday? Does she know we're on the phone? No, she's still sleeping. I'm in California. Then just hand her the phone. Be like, hey, someone's on the phone for you and I'll have a conversation with her.
Starting point is 01:50:25 Okay, hold on. Riley, I need you to wake up. Someone's on the phone. Oh, my gosh. Okay, go ahead. Don't. Good morning. Hi. Riley, are you there?
Starting point is 01:50:38 Hello? Happy birthday. You're 14 today? Sunday. So Sunday, okay, well, happy birthday from me and my friends. We're all sitting here. Do you recognize my voice at all? Hey, you, Bobby's home.
Starting point is 01:50:52 That's right. Yeah! How you doing this morning? Well, it's still a really early morning, but, so maybe you're not doing so good right now. But here's what we're going to do, Riley. Oh, we're going to, I have no idea what's happening. She said she was sleeping. Okay.
Starting point is 01:51:08 We're going to send you some pimping joy stuff for your birthday, okay? Really? Yeah, really. I mean, listen, if you spend your mornings or afternoons listening to us, we really appreciate it. It's the least we can do, okay? You guys are on my election right now. Oh, we are? Okay, wait.
Starting point is 01:51:26 On your what? We're not, but you can't hear us doing this segment though, right? No. No, she listens to the podcast while at night. Okay, great. All night long. Well, then tonight you'll hear yourself going, hello. All right, Riley, I'm going to put you on hold.
Starting point is 01:51:43 Hope you have an awesome birthday this weekend, and we're going to get you some Pimp and Joy stuff, okay? Thank you so much. You're welcome. Have a great birthday. Bye, Riley. Bye. All right, please. If you want to call us, because we're about to end the show,
Starting point is 01:51:57 but when we leave, the phone lines are still open. 877, Bobby, you can leave us a voicemail like this person did. Hi, I have a story about meeting a celebrity that was really nice. So I was in seventh grade, sleeping over at a friend's house early in the next morning. I got a call from another friend who says, hey, there's your favorite celebrity in the whole world at the Galleria in Austin. you need to come now. So my mom comes to pick me up.
Starting point is 01:52:24 We drive straight to the gallery, and I get to meet the one and only Bobby Bowen. He was so nice, and he took a picture with me. I still have it 13 years later. And, yeah, you guys are awesome. Love you guys. Bye. Didn't know that's where that was going.
Starting point is 01:52:36 I'll be honest with you. I was like, who is this at the mall? Well, good. 13 years, man. Time has flown by. We used to be cool and young and hip. Now we're cool and hip, but you're old and older. Which is fine.
Starting point is 01:52:49 With age comes wisdom. All right, here's another one. Hey, Bobby. I needed to convince my friend how awesome you were. So I had a whole party where I made everyone bring a presentation on something that they are super passionate about. Quite obviously, my topic was you. I gave an entire presentation, PowerPoint slides, the effects, everything on Bobby Bones. And I really think they took to it.
Starting point is 01:53:16 So thanks. They're looking at me weird right now. Okay, bye. Sounds like someone who's embarrassed in our presentation. Yeah. I get it. Let's do one more voicemail. Bobby Bones, I can't believe you're getting married.
Starting point is 01:53:29 I've been listening since 2008. I'm so glad the pandemic, I guess, happened because you found Caitlin. Congratulations. Long-time listener. Bye-bye. Bye-bye. I didn't find Caitlin because the pandemic. We had actually started dating months earlier, but it did lock her in quicker, like literally into my house.
Starting point is 01:53:49 It expedited them. I think that was great for us, but it definitely wasn't because of the pandemic. But I think we all grew a lot during the pandemic one way or the other. Probably grew and shrunk in different ways. But man, I'm so ready to like stretch my legs. It feels like we've been on a road trip for like 11 hours. Oh, stuck in the car. And you're just like, I just want to get out and stretch my legs.
Starting point is 01:54:07 That's what the pandemic feels like. Yeah, but a 12-month-long road trip. I just want to get out and stretch my legs and be able to be free, you know? That's what's up. Amy, what's up with you today? You know, I know, I think we're going to like a birthday party, but just like one other family that we still hung out with. It's weird.
Starting point is 01:54:23 Like, some people are starting to do things and hanging out. But I don't know, like, are you vaccinated? I'm not vaccinated yet. It's just kind of a weird feeling. We're in this limbo of like I'm starting. My brain is allowing me to say yes to certain things, but then I still have to be responsible. What about you?
Starting point is 01:54:39 Well, don't say yes to things unless other people are being responsible. Oh, of course. Yeah, I know. That's why I said yes to this. How do you know they're responsible? Because they're responsible people. Why? I still see them.
Starting point is 01:54:49 Sounds shady. No, no, my kids... I still see them at times, and now my kids see each other with their kids. So it's like I was going to get it. I guess I got it. Today's a big day in my life. It's only a few days left before I get into wedding shape. Oh.
Starting point is 01:55:06 Today is not one of those days. Do you have a calendar date? Yeah, of course. I have a whole schedule ready to go starting next Monday. I'm doing a 5-1-1. A little thing I created for myself where it's five days of eating exactly right, one day of eating kind of right, and then one day it doesn't matter. Ooh. Because for me to make gains, I can't just punish myself for seven days straight all the time.
Starting point is 01:55:25 I want to make long-term gains. Listen, I can go three weeks and drop a bunch of weight and feel good, but then I'm just off the wagon, you know? I might adopt that one, 5-1-1. But you really have to stay with it. So we'll see if it works for me. But today's kind of the last day. I got two boxes of cereal at the house. The hard day, you just finish those two boxes of cereal?
Starting point is 01:55:43 I love cereal. Serial is a food group in my life. I don't get to eat it often, but if I could pick my food groups, it's soup, cereal, smoothies and grab bag. Oh, of course. And that's just anything? You know what? It's whatever I wanted to be. It's whatever's in the grab bag that day. We have a Kip Moore superfan coming in tomorrow. Her name's Keira. She's big on TikTok. And we're going to try a little something for her. See if we can get a little connection with her and Kip. You know, she's a massive Kipmore fan. So we'll do that tomorrow. You guys come back tomorrow.
