Starting point is 00:02:01 Prepared. That's rare. It is. You're right. Here's what a man is tend to be like in 2020. Ready, Amy? Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:02:13 A real modern man is someone who doesn't need to play or like sports. Okay. I'll tell you, the SC tournament's happening in town this week. And my girlfriend is such a big 12 fan. She hates the SEC. She's like, why do you just yell SEC at? your games. I'm like, why does America yell USA at their games? Like, we're proud
Starting point is 00:02:33 of where we're from. She's like, but you're yelling for your conference. I'm like, but we don't yell that against our own people. It'd be like Arkansas playing Florida and yelling, USA. No, we're all USA, but we yell SEC when we're playing up. And she's like, oh, and then she's a big SEC hater.
Starting point is 00:02:50 But it's nice to have someone who loves sports. Right. Because I'm a big sports fan. You love sports. But a real modern man doesn't need to like or play sports. Okay. Doesn't limit his beverages to just beer. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:05 So he's confident ordering a cosmopolitan. Where does your husband fall on this? Oh, he loves sports and loves beer. He likes to cook. He loves to grill. My husband does. He doesn't... Is there a difference?
Starting point is 00:03:17 Yeah, because I think he doesn't see him. He's not just in the kitchen whipping up anything and everything, but if I ask him... And if he does, like, it'll kind of be a thing. But if I ask him to grill... he's like all about it. I do. I do not like to cook. That's what men do.
Starting point is 00:03:30 I don't cook. I don't grill. Okay. And then I used to cook more, but I'd fry baloney like a mo. And he likes to talk about his feelings. We're getting there. Are you? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:44 My husband's definitely more about feelings now. I'm getting in there too. I'm doing pretty good. Like I'm working on. I'm talking about my feelings even when I feel like it's not, I don't need to. Because if you just keep the rhythm going, It's easier. It's not like a show.
Starting point is 00:03:59 It's not like showtime and it's feeling time. If you always talk about it, it's not a big deal when you do talk about it. Right. That makes sense? Yeah, and it doesn't. If you've broken that wall down, then it stays down. If you constantly are spraying water, you stay wet. It's like, oh, it's cold and wet all at once.
Starting point is 00:04:14 So with me, I'm just like, I'm working on. It's one more thing I'm doing now. Did you know that male and female brains are 99% identical? Oh, wow. I would see us a little bit. What's that 1%? 1% is responsible for some big differences. Women can recall details of events better.
Starting point is 00:04:33 Women can tell if someone's upset. Men do not pick up sadness as easily. Part of the brain is what doesn't see emotion from men. Don't blame us. Hey, get off me. It's just your 1% part of the brain that's different. And women cheat for emotional connection. Men don't.
Starting point is 00:04:47 Men cheat for physical connection. Yeah, and I feel like our brains too, I feel like we just have way more going on in there. How do you feel, let's say your husband came up. to you and said, hey, let's both cheat, but you cheat with someone emotionally and I'll cheat with someone physically. No? That'll work. Because you read an article that says, so I was reading this article. Like, I'd be down for that one, right? No, you would not. You would not. You would not. If your girlfriend came here right now. Not right now. No, right now. No, no, no, no. Oh, not right now.
Starting point is 00:05:16 Maybe five years. Don't have to me like 10 years. I've been married forever. No, but I feel, what's that book? Men are like waffles and men are like hot dogs and women are like. Men are like hot dogs and women are like... Men are... Your brains are like waffles and women's brains are like spaghetti. Like, y'all are able to compartmentalize a lot better than we are
Starting point is 00:05:34 and ours is just like everything mixes together and affects each other. Whereas you're like, okay, this happened, it's not going to affect this part because it stays in this little compartment. Whereas I'm like, oh, shoot, this happened. Watch out because it's going to mess with everything. It kind of seeps into the rest of it.
Starting point is 00:05:49 It's like your house being flooded. Yeah. Yeah. If not tended to, the water goes into all the rooms and ruins it all. Do you remember that book? I never read that book. Remember hearing about it though?
Starting point is 00:05:59 I remember people talking about men are from Mars, women are from Venus. Yeah, I remember that one. Yeah. You're saying there was a waffle one? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I feel like I had it. I could be into some about waffles.
Starting point is 00:06:08 Beginning of my marriage at some point, I think somebody gave it to me. What's the deal? I have a note here. You have a warning about menus when eating out? Yeah. I saw that, you know, people are still eating out because of the corona, but what you need to keep in mind is you may go to the bathroom before you eat
Starting point is 00:06:22 or when you get to the restaurant, you wash your hands. But then you look over the menu. And then you wait for the food to come and then you eat again, you eat. But if you touch a menu, you should go wash your hands and then come back and eat. Because the menus are just all kinds of germy. Yeah, and we used to wash menus on our way to tables, but we always watched it with a towel that we washed everything else with. Yeah, dirty towel. Ew, no. Well, if anything comes from Corona, it's that we know how dirty we are.
Starting point is 00:06:46 I'm glad everybody cleans the, like, I gave Amy a wipe to clean her phone in the office. I was like, clean your phone. Because, again, we don't realize how dirty our phones are. No, he's not even like good morning anymore. He's like, here's a wipe. How's your day? Well, I keep the wipes on my desk. I mean, and I wipe my phone anyway when I get home,
Starting point is 00:07:02 but I have my desk and I'm like, here you go, clean. Because Amy touches me. I get a text from someone going, hey, what's the deal? Why are daps different than handshake? Because you're still body touching body. The difference is you don't touch a lot of things at the outside of your hand.
Starting point is 00:07:16 Your knuckles aren't touching doorknobs. I'm not putting my knuckle up to my mouth or my face. Yeah. Like if I get bored, I'll suck a knuckle. My fingers. but yeah you just don't your hand you grab with the inside of your hand so you're touching things with the inside of your hand
Starting point is 00:07:31 not the outside of your hand coronavirus cannot be cured by drinking bleach which the internet was saying or snorting cocaine what is wrong with people the claim that cocaine could cure a person of COVID-19 infection was shot down by the government listen if something
Starting point is 00:07:51 is popular on the internet people just start to believe it If it gets a lot of retweets, people just start to assume it. A burglar gets away with 25 iPads and 20 Metro Cards from Brooklyn Elementary School. A burglar swiped dozens of iPads and metro cards from a school. He climbed through a second floor window. How do you take this stuff even in to sell at a pawn shop? They all say like Brentwood Elementary.
Starting point is 00:08:12 Like, hey, came across just naturally like to sell them all to you. Strip clubs are taking precautions when it comes to coronavirus. They're conducting thorough deep cleans twice a day between shifts. They should do that anyway, right? And how deep? Some of the dancers are wearing face masks during their performance. Oh, gosh. That's hot.
Starting point is 00:08:34 Well, you do think that's hot. Well, my Instagram I did with Caitlin yesterday is her in a face mask. Selena Gomez says that she's sometime worried. She'll be alone forever. She's only 27. There's time. You're 39. You just found...
Starting point is 00:08:51 Whoa. I was about to say you found love. But you've found a healthy relationship at 39. Yeah, I've found somebody. Yeah, so Selena Gomez should look to you. McDonald's is serving double Big Macs with four patties. Whoa. Ugh.
Starting point is 00:09:06 And many Big Macs with one patty. Here's the thing. I love McDonald's meat. It must be just from a kid eating it. Love it. So you can tell that meat versus another meat. Absolutely. I think if you brought in the meat.
Starting point is 00:09:22 You would tell the difference. I mean, it can't be Wendy's because that's square. No, but that's part of it too. I mean, I think... You can reshape it. I wonder if I really could. I wouldn't bet money on it, but that would be fun. It would have to be warm, though.
Starting point is 00:09:33 Yeah. And I think if you brought in Wendy's meat, McDonald's meat. Burger King. Never had a bunch of burger meat. No? But maybe I would just... Yeah, and Sonic meat.
Starting point is 00:09:46 That could be tough, bones. Just put all the meat in my mouth. Let's see what happens. I have no idea. That's a fun experiment, huh? I'd probably get them all wrong. Yeah, but when did you stop eating a lot of meat? I stopped eating meat in like 2011.
Starting point is 00:09:59 I think with the bread, though, too, I could taste. I mean, I think the McDonald's thing is not just the meat. I think it's the whole thing. So you need a bite of the burger. I think a bite to the burger and I could tell. Mike, let's do that on the show next week, maybe. Bring in some burgers, and I think I can rock these. And then put in one taco.
Starting point is 00:10:13 Let's see if I can name Taco Bell. It's Taco Bell and a bunch of burgers. I bet you I can name Taco Bell. But it's four patties. That's a lot. Oh, that's a lot. Connecticut Man went $30,000 lottery for the second time in the same store. Crazy.
Starting point is 00:10:29 I hate people like that. I think that's it for today. It's strong. You don't hate them. When they win twice, it's kind of like rubbing it in my face. I don't think I have a lot more today. Do you have anything today? No.
Starting point is 00:10:43 I don't think so. I had a late night at the Opry last night. And so I feel like we kind of exhausted everything today, though. I don't know about these mornings anymore. I'm getting on my kick again where I can't wait out. For the birds?
Starting point is 00:10:57 You know, mornings are just for the birds. Well, so what is... I don't know. When you start feeling that way, what is your thought process? I just can't do that. I can't do this forever. Okay.
Starting point is 00:11:06 So, like, how long for a... I don't know. I'm just trying to understand. I did have a talk about running for office yesterday with someone in my life. Not my girlfriend. She already knows.
Starting point is 00:11:16 She's down. Okay. But, I mean, like, someone in your life, that helps with that, like a political... I just don't know if I could do mornings for a lot longer. Just waking up early. It's not for me. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:28 I've been doing this when I was 22. I've been doing it for 17 years. A long time. Where I've been waking up butt crack of dawn. No, before dawn. Yeah, it's dark, man. Deep in the butt crack of night. Yeah, well, for planning purposes, just keep us posted.
Starting point is 00:11:42 And I just am not a morning person. I know you're a delightful Bobby every morning. Here I am. Bubbly and delightful most mornings. I drive into work and I'm like, what is my life? Then I go home and I'm tired all day. By the way, who cares about these problems? I'm just telling you how I feel.
Starting point is 00:12:02 Way too to get kids. And I'm like, I just want to go to work at like 10 a.m. or 11 a.m. Well, I mean, that's being... I can want what I want. That's what you want. But I mean, not a lot of people get that. Not only people have to wake up as early as we do. Not a lot of people put in the time
Starting point is 00:12:19 wake it up in the morning at 3 a.m. They'd get to go. I'd rather wake up at 11 a.m. Yeah. Okay. I have no reason to feel this way, except I'm just tired. I'm not a morning person. I've never been a morning person. Probably used you to work late last night. Yeah, maybe. It's one night that's totally shipped at everything. But it's not one night. Like, you have a lot of things on your plate. Not a thing, though. I felt this way on and off for the last 10 years.
Starting point is 00:12:38 Right. I would rather work at night. The job doesn't. I really think you would be your, I do wonder what we would be like if we were consistently doing it a later time? Like, would we be better? I think so. I think so, too, because I'm so funny at night.
Starting point is 00:12:55 You are. Yeah. Yeah. I'm just crushing evening comedy. If we weren't tired. Like, I go and I do stand up on stage at like, I go on to like nine. I'm like, I'm with it. I'm not saying it's so funny. I'm saying like, I'm quick.
Starting point is 00:13:09 The neurons are firing. Your mind is working right. What's that to do? Yeah. Peter, like, I don't even know who you are. You're so funny right now. I'm like, this is nighttime, Bobby. You have no idea.
Starting point is 00:13:18 I'm going to make some decisions about my life. You know? Mm-hmm. I don't blame me. Like that podcast, I do the Bobbycats, the music podcast 6 p.m. Yeah. What's that sound again? Sometimes my idea is like, duh, who's evening time funny right now?
Starting point is 00:13:37 I'm like, that's me. But yeah, I'm probably just tired from last night. All right, that's it. Enjoy today's show. I don't even know what we did today. Probably not good. It's a good show, I think. Was it?
Starting point is 00:13:50 It was good. It was probably not good. Don't ask me what we did. I think I've also been, I think I've been a little like, not under the weather, but like. Over the weather? Beside it a little bit. Right alongside. Parallel of the weather.
Starting point is 00:14:04 It's like, not great, but not. And then Scoobah, Steve's sick. He's out. He's our executive producer. He's got a fever. So now I'm like, I probably got it too. I think a bet I beat Corona. I told you guys yesterday.
Starting point is 00:14:16 I think I had Corona and I just, I was like, I'm not today, Satan. And you just beat it. It's tough. I did it. You should start telling people you beat. Yeah. The former O-Town band member beats Corona. Okay, here you go. Check it out. Thank you guys.

Starting point is 00:17:43 Morning studio. Morning. Oh, on my last Bobbycast, are you familiar with sync songs? You know what that means? No. Not in sync. But sync.
Starting point is 00:17:52 Yeah, I don't know. You ride it for TV and movies. Like you just specifically going, into a room and you're writing songs that ad campaigns pick up. Gotcha. And so we talked about that in the latest Bobbycast. And I'll play you a song that's been putting some of the sink stuff. Here, play this.
Starting point is 00:18:07 This is from a band called Outskirts called Born for this. Kind of the jam. Like that pump-up rock stuff. Let me play a little bit of it, and I'll tell you a story about it. Here we go. I'm like a cage-struck tiger. Wanna run until the rain. So again, that's down, taking off the gloves.
Starting point is 00:18:35 I've had enough. It's in my glove. So again, that's from Outskirts. No eye in it called Born for This. That was written for NFL Network for all the Super Bowl coverage was coming up. So it's our friend Brandon Ray, who created this band just to write songs for TV. But now this is like a song. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:19:17 And he writes ads for Target commercials. We talk about it in our last day. He did the cruise line. Like, by the way, just. struggling right now. I don't know if his song can save that. But that's what this is. It's a good song, though. Is it mostly, is it artists that also write for other things? Are they, some just hone in on this? It's specific this. A lot of these writers go into a room to write commercials for certain
Starting point is 00:19:56 things. So sometimes they'll take a song from a major artist and put it in a commercial that already exists, but most of it is called sync. And they're trying to write music for movies and score commercials. But this is one of those sync songs. It turned out to be a good song. I like it. You know what? That was cool.
Starting point is 00:20:22 And we talked about it in the latest bobbycast. And I think that's a part of music that I didn't know a lot about until I talked to a friend who was involved in it. So check it out. The latest bobby cast, if after the show's over today, you want to check it out, you can. Let's do What's the Haps and see what's happening with everybody here in the studio.
Starting point is 00:20:38 What's the Hats? Amy, what's going on with you? So it's Picture Day at my kid's school. And they really haven't. Like the first. year they were here. So they've been in America, two years. They're from Haiti. And the first year they were at this one school that they didn't really care much about. They were there specifically just to learn English. And then they were homeschooled, so we didn't have school
Starting point is 00:20:55 picture day. And so now I feel like we're at a school where they're really excited to be there and there's picture day. And they were just pumped up about it. Like Stashear was even all the details down to which earring she was going to wear for the photo. And so I was like, oh, well, this might be my first year as a mom buying school pictures. And I remember my mom, you know, wanting to get all mine. I look back at the pictures. Clearly, she let me address myself. But it's special to have them. So I need to start collecting my kids' school pictures. Why would you buy pictures now? Because back in the day, you'd want them, but now everything is so digital. I don't know, maybe digital is an option. I have no idea what it's going to be like. I assume they'll come home
Starting point is 00:21:32 from school with, just like we did, with a packet. And they're like, here's the packages, option A, B, C, which one do you want to buy? Update me on that. If you really buy. Yeah. Or if it comes. electronically. We buy them at our school. Oh, really? Yep. What's the haps? Thanks, Amy. Hey, what's the hats? What's up with you? Well, I've started taking a couple
Starting point is 00:21:54 classes online. I do these things called master classes, and I'm doing two right now. What is it? One in taking magic. Is that why you're sending magic videos? And the other one, in the art and negotiation. Okay. And I'm taking them back and forth, because I do stage shows too and I'm always looking for tricks to just be more entertaining
Starting point is 00:22:14 from guitar to comedy to just anything and so yeah I'm taking magic and then the other one is like contract negotiation. Sometimes like famous people are the teachers for these classes. Yeah Penn and Teller do
Starting point is 00:22:30 the magic one. Really? And right now I'm on slide a hand so it's on my Instagram you can see me do the ball trick because that's what I sent my girlfriend the video to said Amy one too but I was like here check it out make the ball disappear magic wand boom but so I'm just I'm just learning this stuff so stage show yeah right but parties dude for sure you gotta bust that stuff out right we'll see okay we'll see that's what I'm doing
Starting point is 00:22:53 right now so I took one little class in each of them last night magic negotiation not the same class no that's what's happened on me hey hey what's the hat lunchbox so ray's getting married and I was like man I need to get on his registry registry because he's been promoting it. I need to buy him something. And I get on there and he has the most ridiculous things on his registry. Like he wants a Chester Jor's, it's $500. He wants us, he signed up for a fake tree plant for 200 bucks that goes in his house. He lives in a small apartment. I feel like he's signing up for this expensive stuff and he's just going to return it and get cash. I'm going through my email too about Ray because Eddie sent me the same kind of email. Yeah, I went through his
Starting point is 00:23:38 registry as well. It's so ridiculous. There was one thing I saw a cocktail fund where literally you just give them money so they buy cocktails. Ramundo, what are you thinking about this? Yeah, I have explanations for all this stuff. We really do need that dresser. And then obviously the plant is going to go on the patio. It's kind of a bare patio.
Starting point is 00:23:56 It'll look great out there, especially in the summertime. So I can justify all the stuff that's on the registry. Here's what Eddie sent me. Ray has a bunch of power tools on there. He will never use power tools. My girlfriend, fiancé, wants me to start doing some stuff around the house, and that'll lead to that. He just needs the tools.
Starting point is 00:24:12 He'll fix up that apartment. And then he can do it. If there's ever, yeah, if something happens with the door or something in the bathroom, I can go do some plumbing, whatever I need to do. The only stuff that's affordable on there are spatulas and noodle strainers, according to Eddie. We've run out of a lot of stuff. People have bought a lot.
Starting point is 00:24:27 So, yeah, I mean, maybe we need to replenish it with some more things. Can people put money toward one of the expensive things without buying the whole thing? Absolutely. Like, could I team up with Eddie and buy you this house plan? I don't know if it's set for the house plant, but for some of the other stuff, yes, you can team up. Okay. Yes. All right.
Starting point is 00:24:47 Thank you, lunchbox. Hey. Hey. Hey, what's the hat? Eddie, what's going on with you? Something I saw that was really cool is Cheryl Crowe does this garage sale where she empties out her closet, I think once a year and just kind of gets clothes that she doesn't wear anymore and sells them. And then the money she makes from it, she gives a charity. But I was like thinking, how cool would it be to be wearing like a rock star's clothes?
Starting point is 00:25:10 and buy it in a garage sale. You're like rocking these pants and you're like, man, these are Cheryl Crow's pants. Did you look at any of the prices? Which are more expensive? Her clothes are raised house plant? Probably the house plant, I would think. I mean, is that cool to wear Cheryl Crow's pants? Oh, yeah, I would.
Starting point is 00:25:26 I don't know that I can fit in them, but they're so, yeah. I'd be like, yeah. Oh, someone said, I like your pants and be like, oh, Cheryl Corp. Like Jake Owen came in one time. Would you just say I just got him from Cheryl Crow? Exactly, that's the point. Yeah. Jake Owen did what?
Starting point is 00:25:38 Well, he came in with like a jean jack. He's like, yeah, dude, Grace Potter gave me this thing. And, you know, it's cool to tell people like this used to be Grace Potter's. You think you bought it from a Grace Potter garage sale? I don't think so. Hey, there you go. Thank you very much. Hey, what's the hat?
Starting point is 00:25:52 I'm looking to Ray's list real quick here. He's got a touchless stationary vacuum for $129 bucks. Yeah! You have a lot of DeWalt stuff, man. It's like you want to build your own barn of tools. It's like all DeWalt. Let's see. He, what do you want the most, Ray?
Starting point is 00:26:11 The dresser. We've had to put some clothes on the floor just because we don't have that additional dresser that we really do need, especially with the marriage. I think the dressers, somebody got it for you already. That is shocking because we've been waiting months, but yeah, maybe so. Show me the most expensive thing on here. A KitchenAid artisan stand mixer for $379. Those are awesome, though. I registered for one of those.
Starting point is 00:26:33 Of course, they're awesome. Okay, they are. That's typical. What are you mix for that? All kinds of things. Here's the Bobby Bones Show podcast, highlight segment of the day. All right, lunchbox hit the streets to find out what workers are seeing with coronavirus. So you went into different stores?
Starting point is 00:26:50 Different stores. I went to department stores, grocery stores, gas stations, wherever they sell hand sanitizer and cleaning products. I went. All right, here is lunchbox going in and just trying to buy some hand sanitizer. Excuse me, ma'am. Where can I get hand sanitizer? Oh, we may be out because you know everybody's going crazy. I've seen like some post on social media
Starting point is 00:27:09 where it's been out of a lot of disinfecting stuff. Yeah, because everybody's telling me I need hand sanitizer. I say, they just say wash your hands. What about masks? You got masks or they sold out too? The mask may be in the pharmacy. And I'm not seeing any handsetide.
Starting point is 00:27:21 I'm just seeing soap. Oh, great. So you don't have it? Yeah, from the looks at them. We don't. All right. I'm so sorry about that. That's all right.
Starting point is 00:27:29 Thank you. Were they out of both? Out of both. Didn't have masks, didn't have hand sanitizer. They had soap, though. You could buy liquid soap or bar soap. They did. You know, and the liquid soap is actually better than the hand sanitizer.
Starting point is 00:27:40 But sanitizer is easier, right? And sanitizer, you don't have to be near a sink. That's why there's a sanitizer run. I went to the gas each other day. I said, hey, you guys have any sanitizers that just came in? Because it almost reminds me a blockbuster video back in the day. You need to be there. You need to be there when the movies would be returned so you could get Ninja Turtles one.
Starting point is 00:27:59 And so I'll be like, hey, you have any sanitizer just come in? He's like, no, man. And CDC just said it ain't working. That don't work on your hands. And I knew he was wrong. there's just so much inaccurate information out there. What they said is up to a, it needs to be a certain percentage of alcohol.
Starting point is 00:28:14 60%? Right. Or higher, yeah. So he was like, but man, as soon as we get it, it's gone, and the people that know it's coming
Starting point is 00:28:21 are waiting for it to buy it themselves. See, inside a job. The second clip, Lunchbox, where do you go on this one? Store that has a red logo. Okay, here we go. Is that Target? Hold on that.
Starting point is 00:28:33 Is that Target? Yeah, I didn't know if I was allowed to say. Oh, I mean, yeah, I don't know why not. There you go. Question for you. Yes, sir. What's the status on hand sanitizer? Because I mean, with this coronavirus, I didn't know if you've been selling a lot, you know, seeing masks fly off the shell.
Starting point is 00:28:46 All the Clorox wipes. They're gone? Yeah, they're gone. They've all been sold out. When will they be back? Oh, we get a truck in every day. Look, see, hand sanitizer is gone. Temporally, it's been sold out at the warehouse level.
Starting point is 00:29:00 So it means we're out of chlorox wipes, hand sanitizer. Okay. All right. Thank you so much. Sure, no problem. Everybody's nice about it, though. Yeah, he's real nice, but I mean, that means their warehouse has none because it says temporary, unavailable, like they're not getting any on the next truck. You can't get any on Amazon, really, because you get to that point, and then it goes, we're out.
Starting point is 00:29:21 Janitorial supply places, which I was going to, out. You can't get it at the warehouse level. No, I saw the, like, some head of some janitorial place on the news, and he was just talking about how they have, like, nothing. Yeah. Nothing. Here is lunchbox going into a gas station trying to get hand sanitizer? Question for you. How much for hand sanitizer? We do not have any hand sanitizer.
Starting point is 00:29:41 What if I gave you $100, would you have a bottle for sale? No. Okay. What about toilet paper? Have you guys been like marking the price up? No, we have not. I'm not going to tell. All right. We have not. I'm just checking, you know, because coronavirus, everybody's buying everything. Oh, yeah, we got memos on here. We got the reading sign. Yeah. It's real.
Starting point is 00:30:00 Okay. I just want to make sure. I just want to check, you know what I mean? Like make an extra dollar, you know, with the freak out. That's called price gaugging. Oh, I don't know. All right, man. So he wasn't going to give to you for $100. No, he didn't have, he had a big bottle behind the counter that he was using, but he needed that for himself, but the stuff for sale was not available.
Starting point is 00:30:18 I thought maybe he was hoarding it and, you know, you had to give him a special price. Give him a couple winks. A little pat on the booty in $100. What, he had given you any of his? No, he would not give me any of his either. To squeeze even for your own hands? Nope. Wow.
Starting point is 00:30:31 It's mayhem, folks. That's crazy. Bobby Bones Show. Big Three Stories. Let's go over to our producer, Raimundo. Ramundo, what you got over there? In health news, a nursing home patient in her 90s is the third coronavirus death in California. Sadly, the 31st fatality nationwide cases have surged past 1,000 and 37 states.
Starting point is 00:30:53 In politics, Joe Biden beat Bernie Sanders in Democratic primary voting on Tuesday. He won Michigan, Mississippi, and Missouri. And finally, in sports news in college basketball, the Ivy League canceled their conference tournament to avoid the possible spread of coronavirus. I'll read you some facts about their Instagram account. Just name the Celebrities Instagram account. Okay. So, for example, he's one of the best soccer players in the world.
Starting point is 00:31:18 He posts a lot of pictures, post a picture of his family, him playing soccer. He's also the first person to ever reach 200 million followers. Christian Ronaldo. Yeah, Cristiano Ronaldo. Oh, Cristiano Ronaldo. There you go. Okay, so that's how the game works. Let's see how many you get out of five.
Starting point is 00:31:32 Ready? Yeah. She posts pictures of her performing and meeting other celebrities. She is 26 years old. Her first TV role was playing a character named Cat on the Nickelodeon television series, Victoria. This is the number two Instagram follower. Okay.
Starting point is 00:31:51 My daughter loves Victoria's, and I think it's a good show too. But it's like, Victoria something? I don't know her name. But I know the girl in Victoria's. Brown hair, I don't know her name. No, it's Ariana Grande. You don't know. Oh.
Starting point is 00:32:06 I thought it was the main girl in Victoria. Yeah, Ariana Grande, she's in it. She played cat on the Nickelodeon television series, Victoria. Oh, you just said who she played. Okay. Do you think some random girl is the second biggest Instagram following ever? I literally, my brain was like, wow, that girl's popular. I had no idea.
Starting point is 00:32:24 Okay, yeah. One episode, I remember my daughter screaming from the living room, Ariana Grande's in Victoria. I think Victoria Justice is who you're thinking about. Maybe. But she doesn't have 177 million Instagram followers. It all makes sense. Now, I get the game.
Starting point is 00:32:38 My girlfriend is convinced that Ariana Grande and Jim Carrey are dating. Oh. Mike, have you seen that rumor? That's an interesting couple. They posted a picture together. Apparently, she's like super in love with them, but like as a fan. She's convinced they're dating. All right.
Starting point is 00:32:53 Here's another one. Yeah. He posts a lot of pictures from filming, pictures of him in the gym and about his family. He was famous in a different profession before the one he's in now. And he's also a former football player. Can you name that interesting? Instagram. He's a former football player?
Starting point is 00:33:10 Former football player. He was in a different profession before the one he's in now. He posts a lot of pictures of him filming in the gym and about his family. The rock. The rock. Nice. I forgot he played football. Yeah, Miami.
Starting point is 00:33:24 Did you see the picture of him and his daughter where his daughter is like saying everything back to him? No. Super cute. I'll go look at it now. Here you go. She posts a good amount of selfies and pictures of her friends. She also posts a few political posts. She's a singer, actress, and producer.
Starting point is 00:33:40 She has known for a certain on-again, off-again romance. She's the number four Instagram following. I was going to say Kim Kardashian, but she's not a singer or a producer. A singer-actress producer known for a certain on-again, off-again romance. This romance is definitely off again, though. Like way off at this point, right, Mike? Way off. Okay.
Starting point is 00:34:05 Fourth Instagram following of all times. time with 170 million. Oh, Selena Gomez? Yeah. Okay. And that romance is Justin Bieber. Oh, that's off.
Starting point is 00:34:17 He's married. He's married. Hey, let's do one more. She once held the top spot for the most liked Instagram post. She has numerous entries in the top 20 all-time posts. Her account focuses on her work and personal life with lots of baby pictures. and photos with her partner. She has the number five following on Instagram.
Starting point is 00:34:40 Kim Kardashian. No, Kylie Jenner. Oh. Kylie's at five. Kim Kardashian's at six. Beyonce's at eight, Bieber's at 11, and Taylor Swift is at 12.
Starting point is 00:34:51 Okay. In case you're wondering. Those are the other ones we had on the list. Go look at that rock video. Okay, I will. And then go look at the Ariana Grande Instagram. Of her and Jim Carrier dating. The Bobby Bone Show is proud to be supported

Starting point is 00:37:50 We're good. I want to play a couple clips here for a second. Here is Carolina. This is a big hit from Parmali. And here is the big song from Blanco Brown called The Get Up. Here you go. Now I play those together,
Starting point is 00:38:09 Now I play those together because, Matt, tell me about this new song called Just Away. It's you guys and Blanco Brown. How'd you guys get together? Man, we became friends a few years ago, actually, before the get up, we met at the A-CMs or something, and invited them out to the house and start writing, and we kind of hit it off, so we've known each other
Starting point is 00:38:31 and I kind of knew we wanted to collab on something. We just didn't have the right song, And when this song came, we'd had it in the pipe, and it's like, man, we need somebody else on this. So we thought of him because he talked about positivity and purpose. And it's such a great singer, man. It's worked out great. Yeah, he's a good guy. I like old Blanca.
Starting point is 00:38:48 And I've got to know him in the past few months or so. You know, I see you guys are out playing shows. I see a lot of Parmali shows. And I saw you have a VIP option. What do I get if I'm a Parmali VIP, Matt? Okay, Parmally VIP is, like, before the show, we'll invite everybody back to stage, It's a green room, sometimes it's bus. We always perform three or four songs, acoustic.
Starting point is 00:39:10 We have like a little swag bag we give out and just basically hang out for, you know, about 30 minutes before the show. Oh, that's a good one. Yeah, I've heard some VIP experiences that are really crappy. That's a good one. Yeah. You go out and you play songs? You play like three or four songs for the people? Yeah, we always break out the guitars to go home and do like the, you know,
Starting point is 00:39:26 break down an acoustic set right there in front of people. Dang. Matt from Parmali is on the phone. Now, there are four of you guys. If you go out to eat, do you feel pressure to pay, because you're the lead singer? You know, if it's always us far together, we put it on the band card.
Starting point is 00:39:40 Oh, nice. That's easy, problem solved. Yeah, that's true. Do you have a pressure on you, though, if you're at dinner and you're there and you have to tip because they're like, that's Matt from Parmally and he didn't tip very good or he tipped great?
Starting point is 00:39:56 You know, we always look at each other's tip and we're like, alright, right, make sure we're all, you leave the same tip. At least we try to. if you're not with the band if you're just by yourself and let's say you're out
Starting point is 00:40:08 and just you and somebody else I mean are you trying to leave a big tip though just so they know it's Matt from Parmary do you write it on there Matt from Parmally with hit songs like man you know I try to leave a decent tip
Starting point is 00:40:20 everywhere I go I used to work in the bar industry back in the day so we you know we lived off tips for a minute so try to be fair to everybody what did you do at the bar I worked the front door and then I became a bartender
Starting point is 00:40:32 do you ever have to bust any heads Yeah, we did. Yeah, we had a lot of fights going on. Dang, that's always been my dream to bust at least one head. I never busted a head. I'd like to bust at least one head. Well, I had a lot of buddies that worked with us that were a lot bigger than me, so I was just kind of the helper. I let them do all the headbuss. Starting point is 00:41:46 It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good. An elderly woman and her four dogs were saved from a house fire by an Oklahoma sheriff's deputy. K-9 deputy Darren Watkins was the first on the scene, ran into the home, which was fully engulfed in flames at 4.45 a.m. He woke the woman up and she was scared, obviously. If something runs into your room, I don't care what's happening.
Starting point is 00:42:11 Terrified. and he tried to gather her belongings as they got her out of there. When she was safely out of danger, he went back into the house again to get her dogs out. They made it in the nick of time because there was an explosion in the garage. Sheriff Chris Elliott praised Watkins for his selflessness, bravery, and courage. And he said, it's just my job. Crazy.
Starting point is 00:42:32 Do you go in once? Crazy. Do you go in twice? Crazier. Again, that's why I'm so appreciative to our law enforcement because I would be like, like, oh, that looks hot. Like, oh, I'm running close to him. Like, too hot.
Starting point is 00:42:46 Too hot. Ow, ow, ow. Out. Too hot. Anyway, that's what's all about. That was tell me something good. Bobid Bone Show. Story of the day.
Starting point is 00:42:55 This story comes with us from Indiana. A man was out at a bar doing karaoke when a woman got up to sing. He was like, stop singing that song. It stinks. Well, she kept going. So he pulled out a gun and said, I told you to quit singing that song. Dang. And so police were called and he was arrested.
Starting point is 00:43:11 People will pull guns at anything if they're on something or drinking. I wonder what that song did, though. Oh, stop it. I probably love Shaq. What song was it? We pivot quickly into what song was it. Because then we might understand. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:28 You know, here's the bad thing about karaoke. When someone does a song over three and a half minutes, you're like, all right, let's move on with it. Or when someone does a slow song, if you do a ballad and you're not either with a group or amazing, where like, let's move on with it. Or the worst is when someone does an album cut, it's a song that really nobody knows. And you're like, what's happening here? When I'm governor, I will fix a daylight savings time.
Starting point is 00:43:55 I will limit all karaoke songs to 315 or less. Yes. If you're in a bar or a restaurant and there's karaoke, I will make sure state law that it's not three. And only singles. There'll be no album cuts even in the book. Because if I come in and you're doing album cuts, you've lost your karaoke license
Starting point is 00:44:12 and I'll make that a thing too you have to have a karaoke life there you go before you even hit the stage you have to pull it out that's right there you go I'm lunchbox
Starting point is 00:44:19 that's your bonehead story of the day coming from the bass pro shops and cabella studio on music row the Bobby Bone show I got a text from one of my friends saying that our video producer
Starting point is 00:44:28 Eddie data of four is now quoting me to his kids but not crediting me oh yeah yeah well I just didn't want to waste the time in crediting
Starting point is 00:44:36 and like come on people say a lot of things what are you saying to your kids things like you know fight grind repeat you say that I say respond instead of react stuff like that you know
Starting point is 00:44:48 when they're dealing with life lessons from school you know they're coming back and gosh dad I just can't pass this test I'm like it's okay son it's okay to fail fight grind repeat fail until you don't fail until you don't so you take stuff from this show and use it in your kids life
Starting point is 00:45:04 yeah well I'm with you all day dude you don't have to credit me I did I did get a text phone of our friends saying that you were using things that I write in my books. Who texted you? My wife? It doesn't matter. I have sources everywhere. Oh yeah, I was going to say it's not just stuff you're saying in the show. Like you've written it in a book. I feel like that's, if it's in a book, you need to say
Starting point is 00:45:24 your source. I have quoted you on my podcast before and I always give you credit. You're welcome. Oh, wow. Thank you. Like when we're late for church, I'm always like yelling up the stairs. Guys, if you want to succeed, be on time. Let's go. My kids know, I have told them so many times. If we have something going on on work-wise and they're trying to keep me from going out the door. I'm like, do you all realize if I'm late? I'm going to get sent home from work and like the fear is now in them to where I was coming to meet you for something for work just the other day.
Starting point is 00:45:53 And Stevenson was like, Mom, Mom, Mom. And I was like, Stevenson, I have got to go. And so Shera looked at him and was like, Stevenson, don't you understand? If she's not on time, Bobby's going to sit her home. I was like, that's right, kids. I got to go. I know. Coming from the Bass Pro Shops and Cabella Studio on Music Row.
Starting point is 00:46:10 It's the Bobby Bone Show. All right, so what's your daughter up to? She is going to run track. And she just came home one day and said, I'm going to be on the track team. And I didn't even know there really was a track team. I mean, I know now they're at a more normal school, so I'm excited they're seeing other things happening.
Starting point is 00:46:26 But I guess she saw kids practicing for track, and she decided that's what she wanted to do. So she went to a practice and I guess did a trial run. No pun intended. And now she's going to be on the team. So she's 12. Is that sixth grade or seventh? She's in sixth grade.
Starting point is 00:46:40 we didn't have a track team of sixth grade that's pretty cool well they do and so but when she went out there though like they lined the girls up and I guess they were just going to do a quick out of 400 or something and quick 400 that's a whole app she's super fast like I've I'm excited that she wants to do this because I've known for a long time that she's really fast and she just doesn't know what to do with it and she's never growing up in an orphanage she didn't really have much room to run and play or do anything but also growing up in orphanage she spent a lot of time barefoot. So, like, she's not used to running
Starting point is 00:47:13 with tennis shoes on or different things. So right before they were about to run, she kicked off her shoes and raced all the girls barefoot. And how'd she do, do you know? She was, well, in the video, she was in, this wasn't like an official race, but she was behind one other girl.
Starting point is 00:47:25 But I know that she could, I'm not trying to be that long. Oh, I know. I know. I know. I really do, though. It's just that she doesn't know anything about, I just feel like she'll learn different techniques
Starting point is 00:47:36 that are going to help her. And when she gets done running, though, She's like, oh, my heart. My heart is going to explode out of my chest. And I'm like, no, that's just you getting your heart rate up. It's normal. Like, you should start doing that. I'm excited because this means less Netflix, more activity.
Starting point is 00:47:51 So does she want to run long races or short races? She doesn't know yet. Is she the tallest girl in our class? No. I don't, and I don't think so. But she's got long legs, so, which is an issue too with her. She has to wear a little uniform and her skirt. I always wonder every day she's going to school in my.
Starting point is 00:48:09 like, is her skirt too short? But it's like we went and tried on. And for her age, she's wearing the right size skirt. Her legs are so dang long. What's up with this girl that beat her? Oh, man, I don't know her name. She was fast, though. So how many girls were running?
Starting point is 00:48:23 I'm just trying to figure out where your daughter was in the race. There was like five girls. Okay, so she was two out of five. I'm watching cell phone footage that I did not take. When's the first meet? Because I'm going to be there. I don't know. I know.
Starting point is 00:48:33 I'm like pumped too. I'm going to be there. I'm going to be like, that's my girl. What up? I just feel like she's going to be so fast. And I told her, I said, you know, mom ran cross country in high school. Oh, come on. I did.
Starting point is 00:48:43 My senior year, it really was to get out of my PE credit, but still. Did you ever compete? Yeah, I had to as part of it. And how'd you do? Well, not good at all. But I did run a marathon in college. That's true. You did.
Starting point is 00:48:55 And I got 3,439th place or something out of 10,000 people. I don't know how many it was in. Just you finishing a marathon's awesome. Yeah. Oh, good for her. That's cool that she's picking something like a team thing, though. A thing. I am so down with it and I'll keep you posted.
Starting point is 00:49:11 I told her, I was like, you're going to have to figure out how to run in shoes, though, because I don't know what's going to be allowed or not allowed. Did you tell her you were an all-time free-throw shooter in basketball? I've told her about any time sports come up, one of her friends play softball, and I was like, you know, mom played softball in case you want to go play with your friend. And I mean this in a loving way. And I was a switch hitter too. Okay, well, okay, stop it.
Starting point is 00:49:31 Let me ask you a question in a loving way. What? Were you ever good at sports? Yes. What sport? Softball? What position did you play? All of them.
Starting point is 00:49:39 Okay. Not all. I never played shortstop or first base. But I did get one of my coaches on the phone. I know that they would say, Amy tried hard. They would put me in when we were away. Way up. I was good.
Starting point is 00:49:59 Kaylee Cuoco, the blonde girl from Big Bang Theory. Yeah, she'd been married since June of 2018 and her and her husband are finally moving in together. Oh. Yeah, taking that next step. Man, that's how to do it. That sounds like something you would do. Yeah. We've been married five years.
Starting point is 00:50:14 I guess she's going to move in now. They've been working in different places, but they haven't lived together, like live, live, live together. You know what I did for my girlfriend? Because she's in town because of Corona. Everything was just shut down where she was. So she's like, I'll just come there. I bought her a closet rack from Target, like one of those things that you hang clothes on. Because I was like, you know, you need somewhere to hang your clothes.
Starting point is 00:50:38 So here you go. You don't have room in your closet. Your closet. I didn't even think about that. I know. I have a big closet. And she was like, oh, that's really sweet of you. Thanks.
Starting point is 00:50:47 She was like, couldn't spare any space in your room. What? I thought I was being super nice. Why is Amy's knocking out her table right now? I thought I was. Yeah. I thought I was being super sweet and like, I'm going to get you a little closet for your own. And, yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:04 Oh, that's nice. It was. I was thinking about. That is thoughtful, but you have other closet space too. I know. But is that too, like, is that seem too official? Mm-mm. I have no problem with that whatsoever.
Starting point is 00:51:17 Okay. Mm-mm. Okay. Cool. She's got her rack now. I didn't realize how dumb it was until she rolled it into my closet because I have a big closet. Oh, that's awesome.
Starting point is 00:51:29 Mm-hmm. Thank you. Here's Amy's pile of stories. So March is Sleep Awareness Month, and Penguin Random House is, launching hashtag read to sleep. It's a whole campaign to encourage people to open up a book before they go to bed because there's all kinds of health benefits with reading before you sleep, like quality of sleep. You can improve that. You can reduce your stress hormones. You can boost
Starting point is 00:51:54 your mood and obviously enhance cognitive skills. You know why more people don't read before they sleep because it's work. Like it feels like you're having to learn something unless you just enjoy reading. I enjoy reading. But a lot of people that I know that aren't. big readers go, you know what, I don't want to have to feel like I'm studying before I go to bed. I like to relax. Eddie, how's your book challenge coming? Oh, well, I haven't read a new book yet. I haven't picked one out yet. But I loved reading before bed because it made me tired. But you haven't, but you haven't picked out a new book? Not yet. Nope. We were talking about dyslexia on yesterday's show. Yes. And Scova Steve sent out
Starting point is 00:52:29 an email to you two. Did you read through it? Yes. And if you've met the certain criteria, you could take the dyslexia test. Did either one of you meet the criteria? Yes. Yes and no. There were some that I qualified. I was yes, I do do that. But there were some that, no, I'd never done that in my life.
Starting point is 00:52:46 I do every single one except for the last one. I don't confuse B and D's. Like, I don't have an issue with that. But everything else listed, 100% I have issues with. I think we ship you off and get you dyslexia tested. And I ship you off, I mean, we send you over there after the show sometime at like 10.30. Right down the street. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:03 Well, you actually drive yourself to the room. room and take the, I think so Eddie, I think you should take it too? I'm definitely interested. Which one did you not have that I have? The B and the D's for sure. Yeah. Yeah, and there was a couple other ones that I read. Why do you always call me Dobby?
Starting point is 00:53:15 That makes no sense. But I say this in a loving way. I think a lot of people don't know they have some dyslexia in them. And it's probably kept them from even feeling confident about themselves because they don't realize that what they have in them is something that's holding them back. Back in the day when we used to have to dial phone numbers, you know, Did you, did you ever mess up? The only time, no, but not for numbers.
Starting point is 00:53:40 On the rotary, though, I beg, and I mess up a number like, son of a gun, I got to start over now. I mean dialing or anytime, but I always just thought it was, okay, this just happens. But now I'm starting to wonder, maybe there's more to it going on in my brain
Starting point is 00:53:51 that I don't know about, and I'm not going to be, I'm not going to be ashamed of it. You shouldn't be. We all learn in different ways. Yeah. And we all have things that block, like I don't have a very good memory,
Starting point is 00:54:02 like long-term remembering, but I know that. I learn in different ways because I know I can't remember. I do word association with everything. But I found blocks. I found blocks earlier as to, but I think it would just be interesting for you guys to know. And if you were, it would be great for our audience to go, oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:54:17 Yeah, because there is things we could implement and start doing to help work with it. And just make people feel less alone that they're doing with it. Anyway, I think we're going to ship you guys off. Awesome. All right. What else you got, Amy? So Florida bars are giving women a secret way to get help if they feel unsafe. I saw this.
Starting point is 00:54:32 This is amazing. And I feel like every bar, we just have this. nationwide to be so cool. So you can go up and you say you want the owl shot. And an owl shot means you're in some sort of uncomfortable situation. Now if you order your alshot neat, that means the bar staff will escort you to your car. So Alshot is the word. Alshot is the word.
Starting point is 00:54:52 Like something's up, I'm uncomfortable. Alshot's the indicator. Yeah. And then how you order it is what you need from them. So Alshot neat, walk you to your car. Alshot on the rocks, the bar staff will call a ride for you. outshot with lime means the bar staff will call the police. So just make sure you have it in the right order.
Starting point is 00:55:10 A couple things kind of mine too. Once everybody knows it's the outshot, like imagine I'm with a girl. And I'm with her and I know what the out shot means. And she's like, I'll take an owl shot with lime. Because I know. I do. What do you do? And the other one is, what if she really wanted an owl shot, like where she comes from?
Starting point is 00:55:29 That's a real thing. And she asked for the alshot with line for the cops to come. And she's just waiting for a shot and do-you. I know. I think this is a great idea, though. But, yeah, there could be some things. Can you imagine? You're on a date and you know it.
Starting point is 00:55:44 You know what the word means. You're like, this will never get used. She goes, I'll take the outshot neat. What? Oh, my God. You thought it was going great. That's how you find out. All right, what else you got, Amy?
Starting point is 00:55:56 So most people would, in fact, take a massive pay cut for the ability to bring their pet to work. Oh yeah? Mm-hmm. A massive pay cut, though? Yeah. A majority of people interviewed would be willing to take up to $10,000 less a year if they could hang out with their pet all day at work. That seems like too much. I know. It seems like a lot. But anyway, whether it's, you know, $200 or $10,000, it's like,
Starting point is 00:56:21 big question is, would you take a pay cut? And then maybe would your work, your environment, your work atmosphere would improve your quality. You might even be better at your job because you're happier, or your pets there. When my dog is bulldoggy enough, I'll bring him up here, but he's still just a little too out of control. I will say this, though, because I do kind of bag on him a little bit, because he's been tough to raise, because he's been sick so much, he's still sick, he's got a big baseball inside of his head right now.
Starting point is 00:56:47 Like, it looks like a tumor. It's some sort of infection. I'm working through it. But I leave yesterday, and I leave my front door unlocked. And I guess the wind blowed, and I didn't close the door all the way. So my door blows open. and normally the door opens a dog goes outside, he just runs outside.
Starting point is 00:57:05 I see the door open and I pull up to the house I'm like, oh crap, I walk in, dogs on the couch watching TV with the front door wide open. Wow. I don't know why. And yesterday, and what's the haps? I think it was yesterday I talked about
Starting point is 00:57:17 the pill pockets the dogs have. You know, most of the time I would take meat or bread and shove a treat into it. They now make specific treats that you put a pill in and they're called pill pockets and they taste good. The ones that heat's a peanut butter.
Starting point is 00:57:29 but they're just a little... You tried them? No. Oh yeah, you don't like peanut butter. But Bobby goes, the one he eats, they're good. Yeah, yeah, they're good. Trust me. Well, some treats he'll look at and be like,
Starting point is 00:57:39 and he'll begrudgingly eat it. Some of them he just takes it down quickly. Mm-hmm. All right, there you go. Yep, I'm okay. That's it. I'm okay. I'm okay. I said, yeah, I'm okay. That's it, everybody, I'm okay.
Starting point is 00:57:50 I'm okay, and that's my... Not I'm okay, but I'm okay. All right. Bye. That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. A guy in Michigan's walking down the street and he looks down and he's like, man, that looks like some cash money on the ground.
Starting point is 00:58:09 Picks it up, $700 in cash. He goes, turns it into the local police department, says, hey, I need you to find the owner. They don't find the owner and they call them and say, hey, the $700 is yours. He says, I don't want it. I'm going to give you $300 extra and I want you to turn it into a scholarship. Boom. So a $1,000 scholarship. Nice.
Starting point is 00:58:30 What does that one call it? It's called the... Oh, there's a name. You know the name of the scholarship? Do you name it? No, it's just a police academy scholarship. I don't know the name of the scholarship. Well, there you go.
Starting point is 00:58:39 That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. Over to Amy now with the Morning Corny. Morning Corny. What's Irish and stays outside all year? What's Irish and stays outside all year? Patty O Furniture. Patio Furniture.
Starting point is 00:59:01 That's funny. Oh, Patio. furniture. That was the morning corny. You know what, the corona stuff just running rampant. Here you go. Washing your hands is important, but what you're doing after you wash your hands is making you even more susceptible. What do you think people are doing that's making them even more susceptible to not just corona, but any sort of strain? Yeah. Okay, you wash your hands and then you dry them with a dirty towel. That's exactly it. Yes. Yeah. Nice job. Thank you. The USDA found that when it
Starting point is 00:59:33 comes to hand washing, people make two common mistakes. One, not washing long enough, but the big one is drying their hands on a dirty towel immediately after they wash their hands. Good for you. Thank you. You know, I clean my phone and have, and my credit cards. I've always cleaned those. But Amy had a good point. Her kids grab her phone too. Yeah, they do. Their hands are all over whatever. You don't even know. Yeah. Last night they were all up on it trying to be on TikTok. And I was like, are your hands clean? You little dirty kids clean your hands. And then you can get on the TikTok. Dang, you got them with that, you little dirty kids.
Starting point is 01:00:06 Dang, burn. He roasted them. Yeah, and they're like, no, no, no. They're like, we sanitized. That's their accent. Starting point is 01:03:10 They don't give us money for stuff, so I use my own money. We started at $5. We're up to $15. This is Valentine, from Valentine in the morning on my FM in Los Angeles. Hey, Valentine, good morning. What's that noise? Yeah, exactly. I was looking at your page.
Starting point is 01:03:25 How much money do you guys have to give away in your version of this game? I think, well, it goes up incrementally, but this morning the jackpot is 21,000. 600. What? So let's compare. We have $15 that of my money.
Starting point is 01:03:40 How do you get, who do I need to talk to to get $21,000 for this? It's Kevin probably. Kevin Legrette, you know. But what we did is, I see, I'm involved in getting this money.
Starting point is 01:03:52 It's not on the best terms. It's a little bit of listed. Because I go down to KISS, and KISS has all the money for our company, and I just find stuff laying around and just grab that. I wonder if we could grab,
Starting point is 01:04:04 prizes from our closet and add it into the pile. Like $15 and a Chris Jansen disc from Buy Me a Boat. You know, just, okay, well, I'm going to hit people up because we're at 50. Do you want to hear the sound, Valentine, see if you can name it? What's your game? It's called, What's that racket? Well, we just made up a name real quick, and then we feel like if we just yell it, it seems
Starting point is 01:04:24 like it's just worth more. Totally legit. Okay, see if. Anytime you guys yell as a group, it's a legit game. See if you can name this sound, Valentine. Here you go. That video has 1.2 million views on Instagram. Can you tell me what is happening in that video?
Starting point is 01:04:46 Oh my gosh. I haven't seen this video. This really sounds like turkeys. A turkey. Okay. Is it a turkey? Raymondo. It is not a turkey.
Starting point is 01:04:57 Hey! I know. That's a really loud buzz. You guys play over the phone, by the way. Very loud. All right. What are you talking about on your show today? Can we steal some stuff?
Starting point is 01:05:07 Oh, that's not good work because I usually steal from you guys. Oh, all right. Fair enough. thing about engagement ring and should have somebody buy it or not. Okay. All right. Thank you for letting us know how much money. They have $20,000.
Starting point is 01:05:20 We have $15. Dollars, not $1,000. Yeah. All right, Valentine, have a good show. Thanks for talking to us. Bye, guys. Bye. Valentine in the morning from My FM in Los Angeles.
Starting point is 01:05:32 Okay. Well, let's go to Lisa in Maryland, who's on the phone right now. Lisa, what's happening with you? Morning studio. Morning. Okay, I'm going to play up for you one more. Time, Lisa, can you name this sound? Okay, Valentine just got some turkeys, which eliminates I guess.
Starting point is 01:05:52 For $15, Lisa, what's that racket? It's a guy eating a hot pepper or a hot sauce that his wife gave him, and he's, like, freaking out over it. That's interesting. Let me hear it again. Let me see if I can visualize this. Go ahead. Pepper eating. Amy, if your husband reacted like this eating hot pepper, probably time to find a new husband, huh? Yeah. I don't know that that would be that. attracted.
Starting point is 01:06:17 Here's the answer. It's not that. Thank you, though, Lisa. Oh, yep, absolutely. Thank you. All right, see you later. We're up to $16. Let's take another run at it. Here is Dustin in Arkansas. Dustin, you get a shot at this. Go ahead.
Starting point is 01:06:32 Here he is. Oh, Dustin just hung up. Uh-oh. He lost his one. You only get one shot. All right. We'll go to $16 tomorrow, right, Mike? Yep.
Starting point is 01:06:41 All right, what's that racket? There we have it. Coming from the Bass Pro Shops and Cabella Studio on Music The Bobby Bone Show. The next big fashion trend for men is pearl necklaces. Okay, no. Just think, though, if I was wearing one, I wasn't, like, super flashy about it. He just kind of had it under my shirt.
Starting point is 01:07:00 You just see it in the back of my neck. Can I pull that off? I mean, maybe teeny tiny, little teeny. I would think I would need to go bigger. I think teeny tiny would be more feminine and dainty. Like a big pearl choker? I'm not choker, just a pearl necklace. Okay.
Starting point is 01:07:12 Well, that's how I picture pearl necklaces, right around the collarbone. I see. I don't know which Jonas this is. Who's the one that's not Nick and who's the, like the middle looking one? Who, Joe? Okay. Joe Jonas, Usher, Harry Styles. They're all wearing pearl necklaces.
Starting point is 01:07:28 Okay. Now that I know that, hold please. Yeah. So apparently dudes are wearing pearl necklaces. So find your grandma. Get into her box. Get to her little mat. See if you can wear that pearl necklace.
Starting point is 01:07:39 I think if I just wore it, Amy, and it wasn't a choker, it was just kind of long. I'm not jewelry guy anyway. And I tried for a while to wear a chain. Maybe pearl necklace is my thing I'm gonna see if I can buy one. Oh wow, I see it. They even wear it on the outside like they have a collared shirt.
Starting point is 01:07:54 They wear it outside the collar. Like it's not even on the neck. I wouldn't do that. Yeah, I wouldn't do that. Oh, come on. Don't be ridiculous. I gotta go low-key pearls. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:08:03 Wow, okay. I mean, try it. See what happens. I used to wear ugs. I tried that for a while because Tom Brady had ugs. So my heroes are hairy styles and Tom Brady. So.
Starting point is 01:08:12 And Ryan Hurd gave you or had a necklace or you wore a necklace because of him for a long time. didn't work out. No one thought I was cool. Let's go to Christy in Massachusetts. Christy, let me ask you a question first. Could I pull off a pearl necklace? Well, probably, yeah. Thank you. Yeah. You can pull off whatever you wear and just have confidence in. That's true. You're not even going to know one day. I'm just going to have on pearls. I'm going to have on what, can you wear pearl earrings? Is that a thing?
Starting point is 01:08:43 Yeah. Big pearl earrings. Do you have your ears pierced though? Yeah, I wear clipons. Christy, what's your question? My question is, I'm in Massachusetts, and our governor declared a state of emergency yesterday. And I was just wondering if there was any possibility that we're not going to get to see you on the 22nd. Oh, Eddie and I and John Party and Kaylee Hammock and Jordan Davis are playing a show in Boston together. As of right now, we're there. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:09:14 I mean, unless, I mean, I wouldn't say like, yeah, like, no doubt. But as of right now... But we haven't heard anything, right? Right now, we're there. I don't know what's going to happen. They're moving everything. That, you know, they're talking about award shows. They just move festivals.
Starting point is 01:09:29 I would say, unless you hear someone go, it's off, that it's still on. But here's what I would do. Okay. Because here's the thing that is irritated to me. There's no reason for everybody to act like they're acting and freak out, like super freak. But there's also no reason for people to ignore it and act like it's nothing. I just, as I was saying yesterday, I have no idea why people have. have to be so polar on one side or the other.
Starting point is 01:09:49 Just because we live in this political climate where you have to be one side or the other, we feel like we have to approach everything that way. You can be aware and go through preventative measures without having to just freak out and shut the gate on your front door. Because in my house, now I have one of those doors like the mall when it comes down when you pull it shut.
Starting point is 01:10:08 Yeah, yeah. I just want to keep everybody out. But just be aware and take preventative measures and wash your hands and don't cough on people. and don't get on cruises. There are lots of things you shouldn't do right now. It's okay to live somewhere in the middle. I know that's a bad word to say,
Starting point is 01:10:24 and I know that I'm being a little too sensible right now. But just everybody, just be chill. Wash your hands. Sanitizer. You need to go and get a little food? Fine. Because if Corona doesn't get you, which it probably won't,
Starting point is 01:10:39 something will, as far as things shutting down. It's going to affect you in some way. For sure. Just prepare for it. You've been through harder things. you'll go through harder things unless you get Corona Christy my point is
Starting point is 01:10:53 that right now everything that is still going that you know of is still going we've heard nothing that it's being canceled and we are proceeding as that perfect all right I can't wait to see you morning studio morning there we go how do you feel about Corona
Starting point is 01:11:09 I know there are some places that have been hit a lot harder in New York they've had to call in the National Guard in one town because there's one town that has more than New York City because there was an infection and it started to spread. Oh my gosh. So there are places and we don't have enough tests out to even know how people really have it, right? But even if you do get it, it's just going to feel like a little flu for most people.
Starting point is 01:11:32 So just play in the middle, folks. You should be more aware than you were, but your butt shouldn't be puckered for 14 hours a day, you know? And thank God there was an election last night, like the primaries, because at least the news was not wall to wall Corona. And you know what I learned when the news isn't wall to wall Corona? I ain't focused so much on Corona. Christy, what are your thoughts on this? I think that you just take precautions and you use your mind, use your brain.
Starting point is 01:12:03 Common sense. Yeah. Let me say this about a state of emergency, by the way. If you hear that, what that really means is that it allows whatever governing body your governing person it is to buy certain services without taking bids. It allows them to cut some of that first couple, few layers they would have to get through normally to be able to get to it. And it's like, hey, we got something going on.
Starting point is 01:12:27 I need to react quick. It doesn't necessarily mean the world is on fire. It sounds that way. But, yeah, they just needed resources, ASAP. So, and not that sometimes that isn't the case. But, you know, just because you hear a state of emergency, boy, those are some bad words when it's not. Right.
Starting point is 01:12:43 we should call it like a state of I'm not going that well in some points state of we're just taking precautions and I'm not making light of a virus going around but I just feel like as you guys as leader
Starting point is 01:12:58 for the temporary moment right now you guys have elected me your leader by listening to this show that I feel like I need to go hey guys take a breath be a little more aware but there's no reason to just run with your hair on fire
Starting point is 01:13:10 things are going to happen and it's going to impact your life 16%. But hopefully it doesn't get worse, and that's all it does. We good, everybody? We're good. By the way, thanks for voting for your lead. Bobby, for Corona president. Yeah, just in general.
Starting point is 01:13:29 Just in general. Okay, thank you. Hey, Christy, thank you. I hope to meet you soon, but I will not shake your hand. Oh, me too. Love you, Bobby. Thank you, love you too. Let me tell you this.
Starting point is 01:13:39 This is the greatest thing about Corona that's happened to me is that I don't like shaking people's hands anyway, wouldn't. And now it's socially acceptable just to go like that. I'm living my best life. I was out at the Grand Ole Opry last night, and everybody's always like huggy, huggy. Nobody was. It was just like full extended daps.
Starting point is 01:13:57 Oh, it felt so good. And Dirk Spently was there last night, who we're friends with outside of the show too, and him and Hot Country Nights were there. He knows how weird am about germs. So the whole stupid band, the whole time they're around me, he's going, acting like they're sick.
Starting point is 01:14:14 Yeah, I think we may look back on 2020 or something. Or, like, say that handshaking and stuff changes after this because it's such a thing. It's like, what, they look back in history? Like, what year did it all change? Well, I'm going to say that won't change because it's been around for a few hundred years. Well, this could be the year. This is what you've always wanted. Let me say this before we go.
Starting point is 01:14:33 This is what I think we should do. For the next two months, we just shut everything down. And just, just, anything two months from now, we get back going. Just shut it down and come. back in two months. We keep doing our jobs and stuff. But instead of like wondering, is this going, is that going? Is it going? Okay, shut down. Two months, we're back up and running again. It's tough. And then you know, yeah. But, okay, there you go. Thank you. Back in a second. Well, I was going to talk about your dad, but I just have had so much corona right now. I'm over coroned.
Starting point is 01:15:01 We'll get to it later in the show. Totally fine. Okay. Even when I'm over coroned, you know there's an issue. Because I can sit here and talk, by the way, the surgeon general should be on the show Friday, here on this show. This is kind of cool. The highest doctor ever. I never thought we'd have, we'd talk to the surgeon general. It's like we're talking to.
Starting point is 01:15:17 Well, he also feels I'm a leader. Oh, okay. I'm sure he's heard all about you. I've met him before. Oh, really? Yeah, yeah. We did an event together, a charity event. Well, that's cool.
Starting point is 01:15:28 So, yeah, look at me. A United Flight diverted because passengers got disruptive after someone wouldn't stop sneezing. All right, everybody. Just take a breath. A commercial flight from Colorado to Newark, New Jersey made a stop in Denver after passengers became so disruptive because they were seated next to someone who they thought was sick. But that's who should wear the mask.
Starting point is 01:15:57 The person who's sick, like, that's what they say. The reason masks don't work for this, they say, Amy, is because there's a lot of space in those paper masks that it can actually go through. Right. Now, what I say is the mask still. kind of works because it keeps you from touching your face. It doesn't keep those droplets out. But if you wear a mask, you don't touch your face. And if you do, you touch the mask.
Starting point is 01:16:19 And what does that hurt? We should all wear masks every day. If you ask me, but no, they had to land the flight. Can you imagine having to land a flight because people get so irritated because someone was sneezing? This poor sneezer? I would imagine if you were sitting next to them. Okay, Amy's one of the flight fighters.
Starting point is 01:16:34 No, I wouldn't, no, I'd say. I'm a sneeze sympathizer. Amy's a, what you do you do? No, no, I wouldn't call. I wouldn't say anything. I would just, you know, suffer silently. I'd be like, oh my gosh, this is so horrible. I can't believe this person's sneezing next to me.
Starting point is 01:16:47 But also, too, I know that I'm a healthy, at least I think I would handle the coronavirus just fine. Based on what I know about me and my age and my health, like, I'll be fine. So I don't think I would totally freak out. I saw a couple things. One, you can get paid $1,000 to watch the office for 15 hours straight and take notes.
Starting point is 01:17:07 Yeah. A lot of listeners were tagging me on this story, which I probably did. do that anyway. Yeah, you could just probably do it without even watching. You live my life. Which episode you need to know about. And then there's another one where a job is offering $1,000 to watch Disney movies
Starting point is 01:17:20 and write a report on it. Upgradedpoints.com is looking for someone with an overall enthusiasm for Disney and they're offering $1,000 bucks to binge watch 12 Disney animated classics and their remakes. The thing is, you'll have to complete a worksheet for each movie and document your binge watching
Starting point is 01:17:36 journey on social media. So it's for the press for whatever upgrade at points.com is. But $1,000, would you watch 12 Disney movies and take notes? Well, I said I had to watch the movies and the remakes. Well, it's 12 period, right?
Starting point is 01:17:50 Okay, 12 period. Is it 12 period? Yeah. Okay. So binging means you're watching 12 in a row? I don't know what does binge mean to you? Benj is, to me,
Starting point is 01:17:59 three and more. Hours or episodes? No, no, three episodes of anything in a row. But movies are longer. So what's a binge? That's what, I don't know that I could do binge movies. Me either. I don't even really watch movies.
Starting point is 01:18:12 I don't think I've ever binge movies. Some of my friends would go to a movie early and then walk out of the theater and go to another movie. And they were like, we're bad boys. We're breaking the rules. And I'm like, who would want to break the rules and have to sit in a theater for seven hours? Yeah, that's not my thing. Would you do it? I mean, if I needed to do it, I would do it. I don't think I've ever seen four Disney movies, period. Let's count them down.
Starting point is 01:18:32 Does Coco count? Yes. One. Oh, Toy Story. I'm going to count the franchise is just one movie. Is that okay? Yeah. Two.
Starting point is 01:18:43 Hmm. What other Disney movie? Oh, did you ever watch The Little Mermaid? Mm-mm. You just danced to it. I couldn't find it. It wasn't, you couldn't download it at the time. Oh, what about the old man and the balloon?
Starting point is 01:18:54 Up. Is it Up Disney? Three. Yes, yes. Great, by the way. For the two people out there that haven't seen up? What's... I haven't seen Lion King.
Starting point is 01:19:08 I haven't seen... Cars, Pixar? Mike, would Cars is Pixar? Boy, but was it? Disney at the time? But was it Disney at the time? Okay. So no. Let me see. Little Mermaid, no, Lion King,
Starting point is 01:19:22 no, Pocahontas, no. Lilo and Stitch, no, Lady in the Tram. The Ristic. Guys, I think I'm stuck at three Disney movies ever. Wow. Zootopia. No. That's a good one. Is it? Yeah, it's really good.
Starting point is 01:19:40 I'm looking at a whole list here. I never saw Frozen or Cinderella, Pinocchio. You should watch Cinderella. and Lion King. I'm telling you, if I have to pick a movie, it's not Cinderella at this point of my life. I'm just saying. I have to sit down and go, all right, here we go.
Starting point is 01:19:54 And not going to be Cinderella. Yeah, I don't know. I think I've only seen three. Well, the new Lion King, you should do that at least. Mm-mm, I'm good. I'm all caught up. Okay. So last night was the finale finale of The Bachelor, right?
Starting point is 01:20:08 The second episode. Oh, yeah. So what happened that everybody was so upset about? So what happened is Peter was in love with this girl Madison. And Madison says, you know what? We're too different. I'm out. And she leaves.
Starting point is 01:20:18 Which one was the basketball? basketball coach's daughter. That one, Madison. Okay, she's the one that was like, you can't be with other girls, and be with me, got it. And so she leaves, and Peter was going to propose to her.
Starting point is 01:20:27 He was telling his family, she's the one, I love her. And so he's like, you know what, Hannah Ann's still here, I'll propose to her. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 01:20:34 Oh, he just pivoted. Yeah, he was just like, life's about pivots, guys. No big deal, and I think. You know, for example, you know the pill, the little blue pill?
Starting point is 01:20:41 Yes. You know what's called? Bayer. It wasn't meant, is that at first. It was like a, a medicine for like your cholesterol or something. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:20:50 Yeah. And they pivoted. Yeah, like a heart. And now it's not a heart medicine. So he's Peter basically being Viagra. Yeah. So Peter, you know, proposes. And then a month later, he's like, like, I got to be honest with you.
Starting point is 01:21:01 I'm not all into this. Like, we're just not that good. Like, I'm still in love with this other chick. Like, we can be together, but my heart's not all the way in it. So okay, cool. They break up. But then they bring Madison back live. Hold on.
Starting point is 01:21:15 I'm lost. because of these names are, so he's with Girl A. I got it. Girl A runs away. He goes, I'm just going to go to Girl B. Yeah. Girl B, then. Then a month later, he tells Girl B, you know what? I'm not really into this. After the show's over.
Starting point is 01:21:27 Yes. Okay, got it. So you learned this. You learned that at the reunion. Yeah, you learn that at the reunion. Okay. And so they bring Girl A back on the show and they're like, look, we still like each other. We're going to try to make this work.
Starting point is 01:21:38 And Peter's mom is like, you're an idiot, Peter. This girl's terrible. You can't date her. I love Girl B. You need to go back to girl B. Girl B. I mean, she is ripping him. Oh, it's so off.
Starting point is 01:21:51 Here's a clip here. Chris, he's going to have to fail to succeed. That's it. All his friends, all his family, everyone that knows him knows that it's not. You know, it's not going to work. So we've been trying to help him. Would we want it to work? Yes.
Starting point is 01:22:08 Wow. So, but the mom is so bad. And she just keeps talking about the other girl about how much she likes her. We love her and we want her to be part of our family. Not this one. So who did he end up with? With girl A, the one that left and came back. He ended up with Madison, the basketball girl from Auburn.
Starting point is 01:22:27 But I hear he's getting a producer of the show. That did not come out on the show at all. That was not on there. They didn't mention that part. Peter's mom, everybody's upset because Peter's mom was so rude to this girl the entire time. Then she looks at her husband and Spanish goes, say something bad about her and help me out. Oh, nice.
Starting point is 01:22:46 Listen. Wow. You may not like what she's saying, but you have to like her honesty. Oh. If she really feels that way, good for her for putting it out there, huh? Well, I mean, I guess if it's, if you can't say something nice, don't say it at all. That I agree with it too. But she's there for a reason to give her feedback.
Starting point is 01:23:02 It was it good? Is it over? Oh, it's over. And there's no way they're going to work because she doesn't drink. She doesn't do anything. What's wrong with that? No, Peter likes to party. Peter likes to, you know.
Starting point is 01:23:11 Yeah, her Peter likes to go crazy. And Peter likes to, you know, hook up. and she doesn't hook up. I mean, there's total opposites. Lunchbox is like, it's not going to work because Peter likes to hook up. And she doesn't want to hook up. I mean, yeah, that's. No, no, no, she doesn't hook up at all.
Starting point is 01:23:26 Oh, okay. I got it. Yeah, yeah. Okay. I thought you meant with other people. It was incredible. And Peter's mom is the most hated woman in America today. Wow.
Starting point is 01:23:34 You think the most hated woman in America? Absolutely. Dude, people are, I mean, she is crazy. I didn't even heard about her till just now. So I don't know that she's the most hated. Look it up. She's all sort of memes are flying about her. I mean, she's everywhere.
Starting point is 01:23:47 Okay. Well, thank you for the Bachelor of Recap. Oh, it's amazing. It's time for the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good. So a police supervisor was doing an audit of some police body camera footage and came across two officers that work for him, helping a woman celebrate her daughter's first birthday. She was standing on the street holding some balloons and they kind of pulled over and they're like, hey, do you need a ride somewhere?
Starting point is 01:24:14 Because she was like walking, waiting to cross. And she hopped in, gave him a ride when they were talking. She was like, well, this is for my daughter. It's her first birthday. I really would like to get her a cake. But financially, she was just strapped. So the officer gave her a credit card, told her to go in buy a cake with a candle that had one on it for one birthday, first birthday. And they stopped in, dropped everything off, sang happy birthday.
Starting point is 01:24:36 And then left, but I got a clip of them singing. Happy birthday to Sierra. Happy birthday to you. Yay. They just gave her the credit card, huh? That's what you heard. I heard the guy was auditing body cam. I was like, that's going to be the most boring job ever.
Starting point is 01:24:54 But they did that as awesome. We all took our own little weird piece from that. Yeah, that's great. That's really cool. And again, officers giving back more than they are supposed to. Yeah, I'll shout them out. It's Sergeant Bonie and Officer Wilson. Maybe that should have been my name.
Starting point is 01:25:08 Boney. Bobby Boney. It's been fun calling you that all day. Hey, Boney. All right, there you go. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. The Bobby Bone Show is proud to be supported by Grand Canyon University,

Starting point is 01:28:06 dot apus. dot edu slash military here we go come on bobby now time for Bobby and Eddie's music school
Starting point is 01:28:26 here we go Bobby and Eddie's music school is now in session all right Eddie what you got Sam Hunt has a new single out called hard to forget
Starting point is 01:28:40 here's a hook you've got a cold hard and cold hard truth that you showed him Now here's what's cool. The song actually samples Webb Pierce's 12-week number one hit from 1953. It was called Their Stans of the Glass.
Starting point is 01:29:10 And what he does is he puts little snippets of Pierce's song in there mixed with reverb. It's chopped up and then pitch slightly higher so it fits the beats and the guitar parts of the song. And there stands the glass, of course, when you sample a song, you have to credit the original writers. So co-writers, Audrey Grisham, Mary Jean Shirts, and Russ Hull are included on the credits of this song. Mary Jean Shirts, writing to Sam Hunt. Yeah, and Audrey, I think, was Webb Pierce's wife. Wow. So that's kind of cool.
Starting point is 01:29:36 And then, so here's a clip of Sam's song. Ah, so good. And then here's a clip of Web Pierce's song. Pretty cool, huh? Yeah. You can hear the different pitch there that I was talking about? Yeah, I would have never known he was sampling that. Well, yeah, I don't, listen, I don't know what that song was.
Starting point is 01:30:04 I don't know. I never heard it. I don't know that Web Pierce song. That's on Sam's new album, which is coming to April 3rd. And that's the new radio single? Is that what it is? Yeah. I'd only heard this because we talked about it once in the Bobbycast.
Starting point is 01:30:15 I didn't know that there was any radio song. All right, there you go. That's Music School with Bobby United. Well, Sam just goes right out of him. He's like, all right, you want to call me? Not traditional. I'll take an artist from the 50s and put it in there. And then I'll chop it, screw it.
Starting point is 01:30:31 You didn't care. I'll do all that. Yeah. I like it, though. That's an example of, you know, sometimes I have to hear a song more than once sometimes. But that one, I liked right away. I haven't even heard the whole thing. Amy, I'll give you the nickname of a famous musician.
Starting point is 01:30:48 Just name the musician. Oh, okay. For example, if I were to say the king of pop. Michael Jackson. Right. Z of seven of them. Are you ready? I assume you started with the easy one, but okay.
Starting point is 01:31:01 That one doesn't count. Oh, okay. The king of rock and roll. Think about that. Whose nickname was the king of rock and roll? Elvis? Correct. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 01:31:14 All right, right. How about the man in? Black. Johnny Cash. Nice. I fell into a burning. All right. Let me get a little harder here.
Starting point is 01:31:25 Coal miner's daughter. Loretta Lynn. Nice. Wow. I'm impressed. Thank you. Three for three. Okay.
Starting point is 01:31:41 The possum. The possum. George Jones. Please. Please. Is that right? Woo! What light is?
Starting point is 01:32:00 Color me impressed so far. Okay. Bosephus. Well, oh, Bocephus. What song is it? The Voot. That's you're singing Blake Shelton. Boys around here.
Starting point is 01:32:13 Easy musician nicknamed Bocephus. Uh-oh, boy. She's struggling right now. I literally think the only time I've heard Bocefis is in that Blake Shelton song. This artist is, he's not really in your wheelhouse so much. Waylon, Willie, and the boys. I'm trying to think. my wheelhouse.
Starting point is 01:32:32 I mean, you're a big George straight type of guy. Yeah. You like that country that, you like that, that kind of. That good stuff? Well, I would say, that kind of, that, that, classy. Okay, so it's not classy? You like that classy country. That's more that dirty country.
Starting point is 01:32:53 Dirty is the word I would use. I don't know the opposite. Bocephus. Oh, Bocefis. I don't know. I already guessed Okay, George Jones, Waylon, I'll just say Waylon Jennings.
Starting point is 01:33:07 Incorrect. It's Hank William Jr. Okay. The King of Crunk. By the way, not a country artist. I don't know. Define Crunk, please. No, that's his nickname, the King of Crunk. But I don't know what Crunk means. What do you mean? Get Crunk?
Starting point is 01:33:26 Yeah. I thought it... Oh, that's Crank. What's wrong with you? So, Get the King of Crunk. The King of Crunk. Whose nickname was the King of Crunk? Okay, I didn't need a hint on.
Starting point is 01:33:36 the era? 2000s? King of Crunk? Eminem? No. Okay. Oh, dirty bastard? What, honor?
Starting point is 01:33:50 What's wrong with him? All DB or what? This is Lil John. Little John. I always said Lil' way, but I knew that was wrong. What's wrong with you? Okay, go. You could have said ODB.
Starting point is 01:34:10 B. Nope. All right. Oh, boy. Okay. The hardest working man in show business. The hardest Bobby Bones? Oh, you know what? I'm going to give it to her anyway.
Starting point is 01:34:25 The answer is James Brown. Oh, get back. You know, he played the Grand Aloptery. Played a couple songs, and then the crowd started to be like, what's happening? They loved it. I think he played three songs. And they putter Wagner brought him out and was like invited him. He came and played. And the opera's
Starting point is 01:34:45 like we love it. And then the third song, I think they're like, okay, you went a little too far here. Okay, let's just go. I get some more. You like this game? Yeah, I'm pretty good at it. The boss.
Starting point is 01:34:59 The boss. Era? No. Oh, come on. I mean, I'm not going to get it if you don't give me. This just makes it a little more fun. The boss. The boss.
Starting point is 01:35:14 The boss. Oh, I feel like it's on the tip of my tongue. 80s. 80s and 90s. Oh, that's Bruce Bringsstein. Nice. Yeah. See?
Starting point is 01:35:23 I was going to say 80s and today. That's every mix station. Right. The 80s 90s and today. Yeah. Mix 92.4. Okay. Piano Man.
Starting point is 01:35:39 I was going to say Elton John really quickly, but then there's also that other guy. Who's the name was Piano Man? Billy Joel. What's your answer? I'm going to go Elton. The answer. Billy Joel.
Starting point is 01:35:54 Okay. You're only five for nine right now. You've really fallen off lately. I know, and you were colored so... I was colored impressed. I know. Okay, how about this? We only have two more.
Starting point is 01:36:05 Three more. Mr. Las Vegas. Like, I don't know. Barry Manilow? Wayne Newton. Oh, okay. Tomato tomato. No.
Starting point is 01:36:22 You're now at five for ten. Okay. Okay, the Prince of Darkness. Um, it's, uh, Ozzy Osbourne? No. Uh, Prince, I don't know. What's your answer? Ozzy.
Starting point is 01:36:38 Woo! Yeah. Six for 11. Don't miss this one. This one's easy. Okay, what is it? Mr. 305. Mr. 305, um, Pitbull. 7 for 12.
Starting point is 01:36:56 Mailed it. How do you feel about 7 for 12? The ones I missed, I'm fine with. Like, I mean, what it. You're okay with missing Billy Joel Piano Man? I was close. Bo Seifist.
Starting point is 01:37:06 I'm okay with missing it because I said it. Here's what I have you do. No, no, no, no. This is homework. Yeah. On tomorrow's show, I want a 60 second report on Hank Williams Jr. Okay. Let's do 120 second report.
Starting point is 01:37:21 That just went up. I know, doubled it. I want a two-minute report on Hank Jr. Okay. For our listeners. Because some of them may not, that he may not have fallen in their wheelhouse. Morgan number two, Hank Jr. in your wheelhouse? Not really. I like him as a country artist, but I don't really listen to his music.
Starting point is 01:37:36 So like, what was his nickname again? Bocephus. Okay. Hank Jr. learn about him. Two-minute report tomorrow this time. We'll do it right after Bobby Nettie's music school. Nice. Perfect. All right? Amy's music school. No, Amy, he gets it got in trouble and is doing a report school. Okay. Do you feel like you're living your life different at all because of coronavirus? I am washing my hands way more. That's it. Are you keeping from going anywhere? Not yet. What about your kids if you had to talk with them about it?
Starting point is 01:38:08 They're washing their hands more, I hope. And that's what it should be, right? You know, I think that you have the polar people where they're going, there's not a thing, I've refused to it. Then you have the ones that are like, we're all going to die. You shouldn't be on either side. It is really something. It's not as much as some would hope you to believe, but it definitely is something, right?
Starting point is 01:38:28 I mean, you have certain parts of the country, they have 100 cases in a small town, and they're calling out the National Guard, just to kind of shut it down or try to. So it's something. We just feel the need to jump on a side, and when you jump on a side, you have to scream one side of the other.
Starting point is 01:38:45 And you don't. Just be normal about it and go, wow, this is a problem. If it was a really bad flu season, just a straight flu, we'd probably wash our hands too. It wouldn't make the news as much. But it's a thing.
Starting point is 01:38:57 And, you know, it's called the novel, COVID, novel means it's new and they don't know what it's going to do. And so that's really why it's so scary to people is that they don't know what it's going to do. They don't know how much it's going to spread. So my advice is just prepare in an orderly manner in case something small were to happen that's going to affect your life 14%. Yeah. Because there are going to be things around you that are shutting down.
Starting point is 01:39:24 A lot of schools. They put all the schools. But people go, well, they're overreacting because of, They should overreact. You should always overreact when it comes to a health crisis. Because if you underreact, everybody's dead. You should always overreact. Now, you can over-over-react, but you should always over-react.
Starting point is 01:39:42 And I think when you're a place that's in charge of a lot of people that are gathered, you have to be proactive instead of reactive. Absolutely. And that's what schools are doing. So, yeah, you should overreact when it comes to people's health and safety. Because if you underreact, people get sick and die. And what they don't want is a lot of people overfilling the hospital. So let's say they're not even all going to die, but you don't have enough respirators.
Starting point is 01:40:02 You don't have enough room in a hospital. Like, you just don't want all that. Then you can't help people that come in with, in car accidents. It just is a trickle down effect. But you have Zach Brown, punnet on their tour. They were like, we're done. No spring tour. We may get back to it later, but we're done.
Starting point is 01:40:16 You have Coachella, stagecoach, have been postponed until October. This is a lot of stuff happening. Airlines, I booked a flight for Caitlin to go back to California next week. booked it like five days out it was really cheap i think it's she got her own southwest plan oh yeah i think i got her a southwest private plan for like 200 bucks i was looking at one that's less than five days out and i thought oh surely there's me no seats left everyone to buy the most expensive southwest ticket oh no want to get away still available so let me just encourage everybody to actually pay attention to it but don't freak out about it and whenever you go with they're overreacting they
Starting point is 01:40:56 should overreact. When it comes to health and safety, you should always over, as a leader, you should overreact to that kind of stuff because you want to make sure your people are taking care of. That being said, I'm curious about your dad. He's older. He just fought cancer. Yeah. So he has a compromised immune system. So he is at risk. Like if he were to get it. If I were to get it, I'm not worried about it. But I do worry about my dad. And he does live in a community of people that are in and out. He lives in an assisted living home. And some nursing homes are shutting down across the country. So it does make me a little nervous for him. And he said that they're coming by his room, everybody's room, everybody's a little apartment twice a day to check their temperature and do
Starting point is 01:41:38 whatever else they need to do to kind of monitor what's happening. And that's not normal. They don't, like sometimes my dad won't even see somebody. So I'm just a little, I want to make sure he's safe. So I'm thinking about having him come to our garage apartment and just staying there until some of this blows over. I think it's great. But I don't know that he's going to be, I don't want to freak him out by being like,
Starting point is 01:41:59 Dad, you're coming to stay with us. If you can allow him a resource and it's not going to hurt you and it keeps him safe, again, I don't think there's an issue with overreacting. Yeah. As long as you're not causing pain,
Starting point is 01:42:11 irritation to somebody else. And you're not, you're taking him out of there. Right. I don't think, again, because you're worried about his safety. What you're doing is what a lot of leaders are doing now.
Starting point is 01:42:18 They're going, uh-oh, I don't want my people to get sick. And if I got to be seen is a little over dramatic in order to make sure. I got no problem with that. Okay. None. Cool.
Starting point is 01:42:28 But does he know? He doesn't know. Does he listen to the show? Sometimes. Live? On his I heart radio app. I know your dad has had a lot. He listens to it on the phone coming out with no headphones and he carries it around.
Starting point is 01:42:40 He's old though, so we'll allow that. No, it's embarrassing. Your dad was married how many times? Four. Does he make out what girls at the old phone zone? I have no. I don't want to know. No.
Starting point is 01:42:49 I don't think he has like girlfriends and stuff there. I just, I don't know what, I'm telling you, I don't know what it is about him, but just people, women, gravitate towards him. Obviously, he's had four wives. But things, a lot of his life has definitely changed in the last, I don't, year and a half two years. He's not quite the same as he was, but. You don't know if he's like smooching around with other ladies there? I hope not. Then I'm more concerned about the corona.
Starting point is 01:43:16 I bet he probably is, if I were guessing. I don't know. Yeah. His neighbor is so cute. She really is. But it depends sometimes how she's feeling like she has a little bit of dementia. So sometimes she knows who he is and sometimes she doesn't. Sometimes she's like, thinks I work there.
Starting point is 01:43:32 Sometimes not. But I could see them being a cute couple. So maybe, maybe her. She's so cute. I think he likes her. He checks on her. Oh, you have to be quiet. And in the story you starts to roll out of Amy.
Starting point is 01:43:46 When I do my bobbycast with people, because I do a podcast and music podcast from my house where I sit, one-on-one with somebody. And it's the heaviest lifting I ever have to do because I have to make sure that it's an hour-long conversation going and I have to keep it compelling. And so, but what I'll do sometimes is when I know they're on something, I'll just sit here and be quiet because they feel so much pressure to keep it going and then all the truth starts coming out. There's so much strength when you're interviewing someone if you just be silent. And there's a fine line between being silent because you're super prepared and being silent because you got nothing
Starting point is 01:44:17 to say. And so like right then, I knew we'd get around to it. And we're like, yeah, he likes girls. They're probably getting married. They're probably smooth. Yeah. Coming from the Bass Pro Shops and Cabella studio on Music Row, we are the Bobby Bone Show. That's right. They asked a bunch of people a new survey, what other physical greeting would you like to use since handshakes are not being allowed? What's number one for you? If you don't do handshakes. Daps. Like a fist, yeah, which didn't make the top five oddly. Okay. Because I dapp everybody. Last night it felt so good to not be judged while dapping. It's like, what up?
Starting point is 01:44:51 And I keep, and I don't even do close daps. Maybe it's like air? I do a long dab, like I stretch as far as I can. Number five is tapping feet, which is not, it requires balance, so not a good one. People try to do that with me. They're like, hey, listen, you kind of like get your feet right. It's got to be the whole. Number four is bowing.
Starting point is 01:45:08 Listen, here's the thing. This is the greatest one. You don't have to touch. You show respect. It's been around for thousands of years in Eastern culture. It's the greatest acknowledgement. Hello. We don't touch.
Starting point is 01:45:22 We make a body movement to go, I see you, I respect you. We should totally implement bowing. I've been saying this for years. Start doing it. I'm like the person that's been on, there's been the crazy guys screaming on the street corner, then now people are going, you know Harold on 3rd Street?
Starting point is 01:45:37 He's been on to something for a while. Start bowing, please. Well, people will not react positively, though they won't know what I'm doing. They'll catch on. That's mine. You're the leader. bowing is money.
Starting point is 01:45:50 Bumping elbows is a three. It's fine. It's weird because it looks like you're doing the chicken dance oddly. It's like, what's up? No, no, no, na, na, na, na, na, na, na. Number two is a nod. Not going to work. And number one's a wave.
Starting point is 01:46:02 Can you imagine someone coming up to you and you just wave at them? Hey. No. Try this. Can I give you an experiment to do today? Okay, you bow, I'll wave. Okay, fair. That's a good deal.
Starting point is 01:46:15 Oh, that's going to be tough. I got a business meeting today. It doesn't matter. Just try to fit in a few waves today. I try to fit in a few bows. Do it. And then we'll report back tomorrow. Okay.
Starting point is 01:46:25 But handshakes are, and I told you, handshakes originally were to extend your hand to show you didn't have a weapon in your hand. Like I greet you, I do not have a weapon. We shall have a conversation. We shall communicate with no arms involved. Arms is in weapons. The Bobby Bone Show is proud to be supported by Grand Canyon University.

Starting point is 01:49:39 Mary, thank you for calling the Bobby Bone Show. What's going on? Hey, I just wanted to tell you two things, Bobby. Number one, you cannot wear a pearl necklace, man. That is just wrong. I don't know. I think I'm going to try it out. If I can find a good, classy pearl necklace, because that's what?
Starting point is 01:49:55 Usher, Harry Styles. Let me just wear it. Wow. Hey, hey, I don't need to be roasted right now. Let me just wear it, and we'll see how it looks. Okay, give me a couple days to find one. Okay, go ahead. Okay.
Starting point is 01:50:08 Here's the second thing. I heard your raging idiots. your hands on last week. So I work in health care and I have played that song for like every one of my coworkers. It is stuck in everybody's head. I'm pretty proud of that song.
Starting point is 01:50:23 It's absolutely. Yeah, I'm proud of that. We made a music video too for it. By the way, we didn't just make this song. This was part of a kidd's record called The Raging Kidiates and now it just you know, sometimes you have to speak. There's a resurgence because.
Starting point is 01:50:36 Yeah. I told you it's like Bohemian Rhapsody. It came out with Queen back in the 70s, like 7, 980, whatever. And then when Wayne's World came out, it went to number one again in the 90s. And then when Bohemia Interhapsody, the movie comes out, we're basically queen. Wow. Like anytime there's a crazy virus, you're going to see a comeback. Listen, I'm going to tell you, I have cornered my market because on my Instagram, which is Mr. Bobby Bones, I am doing real virus-related humor,
Starting point is 01:51:05 which some people can't pull off, but I use my girlfriend to make jokes about. It's funny. Thank you. I got, you see my new one. I put up last. night? Yeah. Where I'm like, you are so hot. And then I scroll, don't, don't tell you. Don't tell the listeners. I'll make them go look. Where I started her feet. I was like, dang. And then when it got there, I was like, okay. Come on. That's funny. Thank you, Mary. Hey, Mary, what do you do in health care? I'm an x-ray tech in an orthopedic clinic. Do you worry with all the folks? You worry about all the folks you're seeing somebody's going to come in with, not even,
Starting point is 01:51:36 let's just not say corona. You're around people all the time. Like, you worry about catching something from people? I worry about catching it from my co-workers more than anybody else Yeah well I appreciate you call on work when they're sick Well I love your song and it is stuck in like a hundred people's heads now So thank you welcome Where do you live in Colorado? You're welcome Colorado Springs
Starting point is 01:51:56 My neighbor growing up His name is Scotty a lot of you guys on the show know Scottie Yeah he live next door to me He lives in Colorado Springs and he sends me a video of him skiing I've never been skiing in my life And he goes hey man skiing's crazy because we grew up. You didn't, we didn't have snow around us,
Starting point is 01:52:14 so we never skied, and we didn't go on vacations. So I was just never something I did. Now at this stage of my life, I'm going, hmm, sounds fun, but I'll probably break something or tear something. And he goes, check me out. I'm skiing. I'm snowboarding. It's to me a second video of him snowboarding.
Starting point is 01:52:30 Because he's now working, I believe for the government in Colorado Springs. And I'm like, wow, that's cool. And I check up, and I'm like, man, maybe I should do this. And it starts to like weigh on me. I should experience life. And then he waits a few minutes. He sees me a picture of him in a cast. He broke his wrist.
Starting point is 01:52:43 Oh, no. Got him. That's what happens. Mary, thank you for the call. Hope you have a great day. All right. All right. All right.
Starting point is 01:52:52 All right. All right. All right. All right. Do we have a hook of wash your hands, right, Mundo? here you go. Enjoy it. Go to Sarah in Oklahoma.
Starting point is 01:53:15 Hi, Sarah. Good morning. Welcome to the show. What's going on with you? I have a question for... Sorry, I got a kid in the background. I have a question for you guys. We live in a state that sent out a travel advisory,
Starting point is 01:53:32 basically saying over spring break, if you travel to a level one or a level two country, you need to keep yourself and your kids home for two weeks when you get back. I have an acquaintance who is traveling to a level two country, Paris, and she's not planning on telling anyone, and she's going to just send her kids back to school. What would you do?
Starting point is 01:53:55 Well, I think if other kids are in the mix, that stinks. I would probably tip someone off quietly. Yeah, or just if you're friends with a person, have a talk with them and be like, hey, seriously, this is like people's well-being. Like, go ahead and go to Paris if you want to take your family there. When you come back, quarantine yourselves. Like, that's not right.
Starting point is 01:54:11 Chill for two weeks. Yeah. Like, it's not a big deal. That's so, that's, that. Oh, Amy's getting mad. Here we go. That's frustrating. Right?
Starting point is 01:54:18 Come on. I agree. That's like not. You're putting other kids at risk. Like, no. You're getting up there with, that's scandalous. Hmm. I think Amy and I both agree on this that you should let somebody know.
Starting point is 01:54:31 You don't have to like post it on Facebook or anything, but just say, hey, I hate to be a tattletel. But sometimes tattletills are good. You go, hey, yeah. Well. Yeah. Yeah. I would. No, you would want me to come to you before I tattled on you.
Starting point is 01:54:45 Come on. Yeah, Sarah, you got to let them know. If it weren't for other kids being involved, I would say maybe it's not a thing, but other kids, you got to let them know. That's only two weeks. Yeah. And quarantine would be fun for two weeks. Catch up on all your shows. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:55:01 Man. Where do you live in Oklahoma, Sarah? I'm not telling yet. Oh, because let's call the person who's going to Paris. Let's just get them on the phone. Let's talk to them. How about this? Near what?
Starting point is 01:55:12 city do you live in Oklahoma? Oklahoma City. Okay, there you go. We're on the lookout. What is your zip code? All right. Have a good day, Sarah. Thank you for calling. All right. Thank you. All right. She might have just told on her right now on the radio if it's easy to figure out. My favorite calls are like people who call in and go, listen, my wife, I think she's cheating. And it's just broadcast a million. I don't want anybody know, but can I get you guys' advice? And we're like, what's your name? All right. Sure, bud.
Starting point is 01:55:44 And then they just put it all out there. We used to have a voice changer, but we don't have it anymore. Hey, go back and listen to the show today if you're bored or if you're at work. And you're like, what do I listen to? How do I kill time? Search Bobby Bone Show on demand on IHeart Radio. Morgan, what should they listen for? Well, you're taking some online classes.
Starting point is 01:56:03 Yeah, and I got made fun of. I'm taking two online classes, and I was ridiculed pretty hard. And if I was already killed, I was laughed at. So, yeah, sure enough. What else? Lunchbox went out and tried to buy hand sanitizer at stores. And was as difficult as you thought it would be. Almost none anyway.
Starting point is 01:56:19 He even offered a bunch of money to somebody extra. All right, what else? And Amy's daughter is now on a sports team. Yep. What up? And someone on the show is quoting you in real life. And not giving me credit for it. And that's okay.
Starting point is 01:56:30 Hey, whatever helps, Eddie. Dang it. Anything else? Yeah, and we had a music school, Bobby and Eddie's music school, on Sam Hunt's latest song. Yeah, he actually samples a really, really, really old song in his song. All right, there you go. That's what's happening on the Bobby Bone Show podcast, so go check that out.
Starting point is 01:56:47 Amy, what's going on today? I still have that same friend in town, so just me working on a podcast with her for hours, and then she flies out tonight. And don't forget, you have to do the Hank Williams Jr. Two-minute report tomorrow. Just wrote it down on my things to-do list. So what about you? I have a dinner with a work person.
Starting point is 01:57:05 I'm just gotten to know, but we do a lot of work together, like here in town, so I'm going to go do that at 5 p.m. People that I don't really know yet, and it's like, hey, we should get together, we have a dinner. And I'm like, yep, we have dinner at 5 p.m. They're always a little shocked by the 5 p.m. dinner. And I'm like, well, I'll wake up at 4 o'clock in the morning. Right. But. Well, so Caitlin's in town.
Starting point is 01:57:26 Is she going to dinner with you? No. Listen, we live our lives. We don't have to be together all the time. I think she has lunch with some friends today that I won't be there for that, and I'll go to dinner with this. Our goal tonight is to me get home from dinner, us watch the reunion. Love is Blind. Of Love is Blind. If we have time.
Starting point is 01:57:44 Then Arkansas plays at 8.30 tonight. Not going to be able to go even though they're playing in town just too late. But if they went tonight, I'll probably go tomorrow night. So that's the goal. So that's... No, I love it. You'll live your own things. And I'll probably ride the bike today.
Starting point is 01:57:58 I got a whole... I got a 54-week street going on that Peloton. 54 weeks. Boom. What? yesterday the audio went out on it, like it froze, and I had to pedal on quiet. And all I could hear was me going,
Starting point is 01:58:11 has that ever happened before? No. And I wouldn't quit. I refused to get off that bike. I wouldn't quit. I wouldn't have done clip. I'm not going to do it. This is the time.
Starting point is 01:58:21 The corona has got to be when, like, Peloton's, like, love in life because people aren't wanting to go to the gym or do anything. So they're probably, like, got to order me one of those bikes. Peloton, Netflix, anything at home. Yeah. Except my gym. The titles. Cleanest gyms in Nashville.
Starting point is 01:58:34 I was there Sunday, and I was like, what is that the cleanest place I've ever seen? You'd walk by and you know that sound with something clean? Ding. Yeah. It was everywhere you walked in the place. It was crazy. Yeah. See you guys on Thursday's show.
Starting point is 01:58:45 Bye, everybody. Fight. Congrats Bobby Bowen. Your ACM win. Grind. Accum. Congrats Bobby Bonn. Repeat.
