All right. The Bobby Bones post show pre-show. Got a couple things on my list to talk about. First of all, lunchbox says he tricked the Easter system. How'd you trick Easter? Oh, well, what you do is you just wait until Monday, the day after Easter, you go to the grocery store,

and I got plastic eggs for 50 cents. I got an egg basket and Easter basket for $1.50. Everything is dirt cheap. And guess what? The kids have no idea what the difference is. And you just tell them the Easter bunny got delayed. That was it. Do you even have to tell them that?

Or do you just have Easter? Well, you know, I just say, yeah, the Easter bunny came. And, I mean, my kid is not young enough to realize that the Easter bunny what day he's supposed to come on. But if you have older kids, you can just say the Easter bunny got delayed because of their plane or whatever. Oh. Amy, didn't the tooth fairy get delayed at your house? Oh, yeah, the tooth parry's practicing social distancing.

Well, Stevenson lost a tooth, and then he was wondering the next day why the tooth fairy didn't come. And so that is why. It was just a hectic night. And also, the tooth fairy can't just go to random people's houses and get close to your pillow because it's not six feet away. Can I ask you a question? The tooth fairy's managers just forget? Yeah, it was the night that the tooth got lost, it was a very hectic night. Wow.

It was. There was a lot happening. And, yes, the intent, I think, was to try to figure out how to schedule the tooth fairy. Yeah. But, yeah, it just wasn't going to happen. And then we realized it wasn't safe to have the tooth fairy in the house anyways. Everybody's getting delayed. Bunny, fairy.

Love it. You know, all the corona came in, and anything that was starting to have some sort of momentum or be new kind of went away, and that includes the Dixie Chicks coming back. Oh, wow, yeah. Yeah. Because it was like, here are the Dixie Chicks, Followed closely by Corona. Corona. Corona takes a lead.

And the Dixie Chicks fell off. But they'll be back. The biggest pop song, 50 Cent into Club. 2003. Crazy. I remember playing this on the radio like crazy. I could not get enough of it. I was doing nights on Kiss FM, 96.7 in Austin, Texas.

Crazy. The biggest thing of pop culture, Apple launches iTunes, which becomes a major success selling 10 million. songs within four months of launch, which is crazy because I remember when iTunes came out, we were all stealing music on Napster, by the way, and they just shut Napster down. I was like, why am I going to buy music

when I get it for free? And they took it away, and I was like, well, I'm only going to buy like one song a month. I'm not spending money on music. And then obviously iTunes massive and has now turned into the streaming, but more than a million songs sold the first week alone, which is amazing,

considering only Mac users could purchase them. And if you're young, you don't understand, but for us to have a million, Mac when you were young. Nobody had Macs when we were young. If you had a Mac, you were like a weirdo. And Macs weren't compatible with things. And now everybody has a Mac. Here you go. The day the iTunes store opened in 2003, the top selling song was, stuck in a moment you can't get out of by YouTube. I had the U2 iPod. Which came a little later. Yeah. I had that free YouTube album that everybody got for free.

I was terrible. I listened to it, though. I was like, it's free, and then I hated it. So then I was mad. If it had been good, I think I'd have been happy that it was free. But I was like, why do I have this? So, I'm glad everybody's here. Just keep yourself safe. Don't go out. If you don't have to go out. You know all the rules at this point. I was doing an interview yesterday, and they were like, you know, why do you think that your show continues to be a success whenever a lot of shows are going down. And I was just like, you know, we talk and treat our listeners like friends,

So the nation's top infectious disease expert called Tinder Dating, a relative risk. He says, listen, if you're willing to take a risk and everybody has their own tolerance for risks, my thing is if you're just going to hook up with a tender date, you've got other risks that you're, you've been risking it for a while. But he said, you know, it's a risk.

You might not just have to worry about the coronavirus. Yeah, yeah. Because Corona you can get rid of. Some of the other stuff you can't. So easy. Not so easy. I got a couple notes here. One says the beer angel is real.

Is that from you, Eddie? That's from me. Yep. And she's on this show. That's Morgan number two. Why would happen with you guys? She was, she mentioned just through passing,

we were talking and she goes, I'm going to go to the grocery store probably tomorrow. And I said, oh, you know what? Since you're at the grocery store, could you get me a couple cases of beer? Because the delivery service that I use doesn't do alcohol. So she said, yes, she will. And she's bought the beer.

And now it's waiting for me at her house. So after we're done here, I'm going to go pick it up. You're just going to drop and grab? That's it, yes. And it's been sitting outside for 24 hours, she said, so it's clean. Is she on with us right now? Hey, Morgan, none of us have ever been over to your house. Do we have a big party now?

Not right now, but yeah, as soon as quarantine is over, we're definitely going to have a house party. Your microphone sounds better. Did you move it? No, I made a fort. Uh-huh. Off air yesterday. I said, hey, if you put some stuff around you, you'll trap in a lot of that. sound. Doesn't it sound so much better, Amy? Yep, sure does. Or have you been perfecting your radio voice?

No, it's definitely the four. I have like four pillows and three blankets above me, so. We were talking during the show, which we record this after the show's over. You'll hear a segment later where Amy pulls up this email called the IHeart Country Daily. Is that what it's called? Yep. Morgan, you write for that? The I heart country daily. Yeah. I mean, I write blogs for it, but like, I write all of our blogs. There was a whole gonset. Huh?

Whoever puts together the I Heart Country Daily must pull the articles from the various website and puts it streamlines it in an article. Oh, well, there was a juicy story about my girlfriend and I that you wrote, apparently. Oh, it was, was it you meeting her girlfriend's parents? That makes no sense, but it was, it was, it was, um. Words are hard. It was things are heating up or something. I don't know.

Oh, I mean, yeah, it would have been me writing it, but I think they just pulled it like from our website. You sound so much better. Her microphone sounds great. This is awesome. Hey, Mike, there's a story that says a couple of fines for posting old vacation photos during lockdown. What's that story about it?

Yeah, in Australia. They posted their pictures from a while back, but they thought they were still on vacation, so they got charged for it. Oh, that's unfortunate. How are they built? Because they thought they were actually on vacation now, there's a complete log down in Australia where you can't even leave.

Huh. So they just sent them a ticket? You don't DM them first. It'll be like prove your home. Just to make sure, right? Yeah. Like, hey, show me a picture right now holding the newspaper up, like a hostage situation. Huh.

America just had its first March since 2002 without a school shooting. Think about that. Oh, wow, the entire month of March. Wow. Again, the only reason is because we haven't been in schools. and since 2002. That's crazy. That's crazy.

Wait, March or just month? America had the first March since 2002 without a school shooting. That sucks, that sucks, right? 20% Americans now scrubbed their hands at least 16 times a day. You know, I've got to tell you, I've always been a big hand washer, and I don't wash my hand 16 times a day. I'd say about 10. And I've maintained,

I don't know that I've really elevated it because I was already crushing it. I was so good of hand washing. If there was a professional league of hand washing, I'd have been in it already. The champ. Yeah, I think that's it. One other story is professional gamblers in Nevada

may now be able to collect unemployment. You know, if your profession is gambling, and it is what you are, and it is what you are doing, consistently it can prove that you're consistent, then I'm okay with that because you can't judge someone's job based on if you are okay with it or not, if it's long as it's legal. Because then people will go, oh, you're a stripper. That's not a real thing.

You can't get unemployment. Does that make sense? Yeah. So people are all but heard about that. And I'm like, listen, I would not like to give a professional game, but it gets their job. So if they're good at it and they're able to make money at it and that they can prove they do it all the time as then okay. Then they're not able.

My $30 a month? Is that count? No, it doesn't because you... And you said you weren't doing that anymore. No, I'm not. I'm not. It's been a couple months. All right, all right, all right.

But yeah, just because you don't agree with the job, I guess there could be a lot of jobs that you could say that, or just if you disagreed what they did, you couldn't pay them? I mean, it could be anything that people disagree. I mean, sometimes people disagree with our show or because we're secular radio. It could be someone who's making Mountain Dew and you don't like the sugar and it's killing America.

Here is Amanda in El Paso at first. Hi, Bobby. The question I have for you is when Dr. Satchy was on, how much were you excited? I know you get pretty excited for only certain people to interview.

You're pretty hard to shake. So scale one to 10, how nervous were you interviewing your mom? man crush Dr. Fauci? Well, I can tell you, before I give a number, I can tell you that as soon as I start talking to him, that went down because he was just as cool in person as he seems on TV or anywhere else. Like, he was just the coolest guy to talk to. I mean, again, he's worked with six presidents. Like, he's just been at such a high level for such a long time as far as, like, a scientist

and a doctor. You know, I don't get rattled often because I think folks are folks. celebrities are normal people that just have a job that we oddly consider more important than another. I would put it probably at a 6.5

and I think for the normal interview it's at about a 2 or a 3 with nervousness and I don't know that I get that nervous just in general when I talk to people but yeah I think it's 6.5

and we're calling him and I was nervous to take too much of his time because he had to go save some lives. Instead of saving lives, he's up here, you know, messing with me on the radio. But if you can find where you left off, which took us a second, but we did, and we're at season six, episode six. And so we have the rest of season six and all of season seven to look forward to. And I'm pretty pumped about it. I thought that way about Ozark. I was like, it's too much. And then happy I got back into it. We're in season three now.

My wife has five of them. We raised five of them. They're pets. So, I mean, we can pretty much tell you what you need to know about them if you want to know. So he gave us this number.

I feel like some of the places I've been looking, they are considered sanctuary-ish. But, yeah, I'm thankful to have his number, though. That's awesome. And I think maybe he wants to get us both a pig. Really? I don't know. It sounds like that was in the... I'm not going to say more than that, but I think he wants to get us both a pig, too. I'm not getting a pig right now. My dog has been through so many surgeries. He's just now starting to bounce back from his seventh surgery. Yeah. But if a pig works out for you, it may be cool for me.

Maybe. Hey, what happened with your dad? Oh my gosh. He went to the hospital. So you know who he has a feeding tube? Yeah. And sometimes in his sleep, he rips it out. Well, I guess in the two years or so that he's had the feeding tube, he's ripped it out maybe three times.

In the middle of the night, like while he's sleeping, he doesn't know he's doing it. But it can only be put back in at a hospital. You can't, nobody else can do it. So Amy's dad's at a living. Assisted living. Yeah, like an old folks home. Is that a bad thing to say an old folks home? Because I would, I mean, that's what I would say.

If I was old, I'd be like, come to the, oh, anyway, go ahead. Sure, whatever you want to call it, he cannot live on his own. So we get a call in the middle of the night saying that they're taking him by ambulance to the hospital. Wow. And normally, in any time, the previous times this has happened, I have gotten in the car and went to the hospital to meet him. but because the coronavirus that's not allowed.

So that was really hard to not be able to go. And I just knew he probably had anxiety. So I stayed up all night worrying about him. Because I know for him going to a hospital, he doesn't want to get the virus and bring it back. And so anyway, got the tube back in. He's back at his place. But he is, you know how I told you, what, just yesterday,

that he was allowed to leave his room to come down to a window to talk to me? Yeah. Well, he can't do that anymore because since he went to the hospital, they have to quarantine him to his room for 14 days to make sure he doesn't have symptoms. Dang. And so he was just quarantined to the assisted living place, but now it's to his room. And gosh. Boy guy can't catch a break. I know. So hopefully we make it 14 days, no symptoms, and then he can come down to the window again. Wow. Well, that stinks. I feel like we should do something that doesn't stink to end this segment. They wanted to make a video since family and friends couldn't be there. So I get some fireworks, some explosives, and they boom, shoot it off. Only problem is it catches fire and burns 10 acres.

Oh, man. Well, memorable, but nobody got hurt, right? No one got hurt, and luckily it went the opposite way of the houses, so it just burned forest. That's it. That stinks. All right. I'm Lunchbox.

This woman, Emily Phillips, she was able to find someone willing to let her husband use their RV because he's a doctor, and they didn't want him coming into their house and possibly exposing the family.

What's going on with the kids, Amy? Well, they're doing good. I mean, just regular, regular stuff, but I think the coronavirus is starting to weigh on them and traveling and going to Haiti and their moms and they're kind of worried, especially Stevenson. He asks about his mom almost every single day. Is it weird for you to call somebody else his mom even when you're his mom? Like, you adopted them. I know you're as adopted mom, but is that weird for you to say with your mouth? No, because we talk about them a lot.

And I think maybe that's why they're okay with talking to me about it. but no, they're the mom number one. I'm mom number two. Or they say, when they talk about them, they say, my Haitian mom. Yeah. My Haitian mom. And then then I'm just mom. So I think they know that the virus has hit Haiti and then they know that we're all confined

to our houses. So I think it just gets them curious about what it's like there and what it's like for people. And I try to keep them off the news, but sometimes we just have it on in the house and they pick up on things. and I can tell it's just, he's worried and he wants to make sure that she's okay. And then Sashira too. So I've got to find a way to just get confirmation that everyone's okay.

And then maybe even find a way to, you know, get a video call with them or something. Because at this point in our relationship as me being their mom and being my kids, I thought we would for sure already have traveled back to Haiti and even met their moms in person. for me, because I've never met them. So now I think we just have to get creative and figure out a way to do it virtually. Wow. All that's heavy.

Yeah. I mean, I don't know that, and they may not even want to do that. I honestly don't know. And I maybe need to talk to some of my mentors and see what they think about it. But I think it, I mean, I don't know, could be good for them.

Maybe it couldn't be. But I was advised to wait two years until I took them back. And now, just given the current state, of the world, we're not going to be going back anytime soon. So I just need to maybe explore a new plan. Could you get a hold of their moms if you really needed to? I know, yes.

I know people that could. So yes. But I mean, I couldn't call them directly. I'd have to go through one other person. So you can't just set up a Zoom. No. And then I don't even know that they would have Zoom. But I know that a lot of people in Haiti have WhatsApp.

That's how I talked to a lot of my Haitian friends. So it wouldn't surprise me if they had WhatsApp and I could arrange a WhatsApp WhatsApp video call. Well, to surprise you, let's put them on now. Here are both of your kids' moms. I'm just kidding. Why that be terrible?

I met with my brother and sister-in-law who were the only people that really got to see this entire.

I love breakfast for dinner because who doesn't. And it was very strange. And then we watched, I think we watched Ozark. Where are you on Ozark now? I just finished season two. Where are you? Season three, about episode four. So I just finished, I guess, season one of season three. Episode one of season three. It gets a little more intense, right?

Yes. Okay. All right, all right, all right. What else are you doing to stay busy? I've been trying to get out and get fresh air. That's the easy way to social distance. Wow, you're training for a marathon? I'm at least to a half.

So, like, right now I'm on week. I've been doing it for several weeks now, but there'll be some way to, even if I have to make, my own marathon, or at least a half marathon, I could think I could do now. Drive 4, and I've been playing piano, some video games every once. Well, you gave me that little spot to jump in and say new songs. When you get them release, like, a collection of songs? Maybe a record or an EP. When's that coming?

I think it's exact date, but I know I'm trying to get this music out, quarantine, you know, you can't use TV and all that. It's like, heck, I can sit here and talk with you guys right now about it. And people being, I want to get the music out there as soon as possible. So as soon as I can get it out there, it's going to be out there. All right, I'm going to give you now a little career advice because I know that's what you came to me for, right? Yep.

Peacock, released the first teaser for the Save by the Bell reboot, and I've got a clip of A.C. Slater talking to Zach Morris's kid. When I was in high school, I constantly used to fight with my best friend over a hot girl. Oh, was actually your dad. over your mom.

Then I just found another girl that I really liked and I started hooking up with her instead. Oh, wait, that was your mom. All right, so, listen, the peacock's coming out. That's it. It'll be interesting to see everybody back together, but it's like the third reboot of that show or fourth reboot of that show, right?

And Zach Morris is going to play the governor of California. Yep. Boy, he rose. He rose quick on that show. He's been in the state now. And so obviously all their kids are in high school, so they're going to be characters.

And then Tiffany Theson, she isn't going to be a regular, but she will appear in a few episodes during the runs. I heard Screech was all but hurt because he wasn't invited, right? When you write books about how much you hate the cast, it's hard to have the cast invites you to do the show. You know?

But he's like, I can't believe I'm not in the show. Okay, Samuel Powers. That's how the world works. All right, is that it, Amy? For that, yeah. For that, yeah? Yeah, for that. For the whole thing, is that it?

No, that's the first story. Oh, it is? Oh, okay, what else you got? I thought that was the whole thing. I was really sitting on that one there. Go ahead. No, if you want an iPhone, but you think they're too expensive, which is all of us. Apple is offering a cheaper version of the iPhone.

And finally, Ford is testing out social distancing wristbands. Yeah, they're wristbands that buzz if wearers come. within six feet of each other. They have a bunch of their employees testing them out so they can maintain the distance guidelines

amongst, like, with all the coronavirus stuff going on. So they've got a big factory of people so they can test it out at work, but obviously it could roll out to the public too. Yeah, but it will only work if the person inside the six feet has a wristband on two. Yeah, like everybody has to have it. We just need to distribute it to everybody in the world.

And I'm sure they're going to be free. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. All right, is that it? Yeah, I mean, that's my file. That was Amy's pile of stories. The Maryland Police Department says, hey, if you're going out to get your mail or walk in your yard, put pants on. This reminded me at Eddie, because Eddie was just asking us about this. That's interesting.

It's a real thing. I thought I was the only one. People don't typically need to be reminded to wear pants. But now, because everybody's at home, people walking out in their underwear, what's funny is Eddie brought this up on the show earlier this week. Now, did you stop doing it, Eddie? Yeah, of course. I mean, you guys said it's probably not a good thing. thought about it. There are families in the neighborhood. Yes. Even though they're boxers.

I never wore my tidy whiteies out there. They wrote, please remember to put pants on before leaving the house to check your mailbox. You know who you are. This is your final warning. There you go. Don't be doing that. Hey, I'd like to hit a video game minute for a second. This will be a quick one here. So I've been playing a little bit of video games. But what's happening is Sony is giving people two free PlayStation 4 games as a thank you for social distancing and staying home. So if you have a PS4, they're giving away two games.

You just download. How about that? Love it. Cool. Eddie, do your kids play your PS4? What are you talking about, bones? They play more than I do. It's their PS4, basically, not mine anymore.

Well, I bought it for you for your birthday. Yeah, I know, but the thing is, you know, I still come to the station for work. So when I get back, my wife tells me, yeah, they've been on the PS4 for about three hours now. So it's not good, and I'm going to have to set some rules. Which are? Basically don't touch it unless I'm in the house. Because it's, Bones, you did give it to me for my birthday. It's daddy's gift, not theirs.

But if your wife's in a better mood because the kids are playing PlayStation, isn't that daddy's gift if your wife's in a better mood? Why are you always dropping logic on us? I'm just saying in a way it comes back around. She's in a better mood. You're right. There's the video game in it. Can I get the Tiger King headline of the day, please?

I'm going to wait and do a full segment in a second about this because there's a love story that they're saying happened on Tiger King that we didn't know about. And I'll do that coming up, but I wanted to check with Eddie if you watched another episode. I did. Episode five. Done. And? Wow, it's getting real, man.

Like, it was the first time I felt a little sadness watching this show. I'm at the point where Joe Exotic, you know, he's run for president. or governor and all that. He's getting pretty crazy and wacky. Yeah. But something happens in episode five where I'm like, oh, where you went,

oh my God. Yeah. Yes. You know what I'm talking about, Amy? Yeah. I mean, there's several of those moments, but yeah. That's the one where you're like, like jaw dropper.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Jen Wayne from Runaway June has coronavirus. You see that? I did. I saw it in our I hurt country daily email blast. Well, I just text her, and I said, how sick are you? Because I don't know if she's over it or I just saw that she had it.

She just texted me back. I'm now recovered, thank God, waiting to find out if I can donate my plasma. Such a crazy thing. Wow. People keep that on lock.

Well, that's like old. But there's one that says Bobby Bones and his girlfriend are taking things to the next level. Who writes that? What's the story there? Is there more? Yeah. I can click on it. I can also see who wrote it.

And then it talks about how you haven't met her parents, but you might, blah, blah, blah. Oh. There was another relationship story. It's actually a Tiger King story. Do you want to hear this? Yeah. So Jeff Lowe, who's on Tiger King, claims he has footage of Joe Exotic

and he's having relations with a tiger. No. That's what it says. Jeff Lowe dropped the bizarre bombshell on Wednesday during a wild Ask Me Anything question and answer session on Reddit. One Reddter posed a question. Hey, Jeff, I was wondering if you had any weird blank you found out about Joe Exotic. And he said, I think the weirdest thing we found was a flash drive of Joe Exotic and they were having blank with animals in the park.

No. You do you believe it? No. I just, everyone in that show is so bizarre, I'm just not going to invest in believing anything about anything. Yes or no. Nothing would surprise me at this point, you know? I mean, could it be true? Maybe.

But I don't want to say, I don't want to be a part of it. something like that, knowing that it could just be completely fabricated. All right. Jeff Bezos. And I don't have, I don't know the answer yet, but if I were going to guess, I would say Jeff Bezos, like if I had to bet money on it, but I found a video of him saying his name, Mike D has put it in the system. Here is a clip from 2009.

she instantly became like one of the richest women? I would assume if you have $36 billion, you just become one of the richest people. Yeah. Just like that. Jeff Bezos gave up 36 billion in his divorce settlement last spring. Going into the deal, he was worth about $149 billion. So his fortune dropped to $113 billion. He's already made a majority of that money back.

According to the latest Bloomberg billionaire index, Jeff's total net worth is $140 billion right now. So, you know, Amazon has gone up since all of this. And they're hiring new workers. For sure. And he is the richest person in the world, and she ranks 18th of all people. Man, I don't, what's a life without having to look at the price tag on, period? Houses, cars, yachts, what's that life?

Okay, but yeah, they don't have to, but I wonder if they still do. Right. I wonder if he sees something and he just finds it to be ridiculous, so there's no way he's going to pay that. That's interesting you bring that up, because as you've heard me say on the show, I didn't have any money when I grew up. Super poor. I'm not super poor anymore. And I still look at things the exact same way because of how, like I got, you don't just get to a point and then change who you are. You know, I have found that whenever you have some sort of success or you start to make a little bit more money, you start to actually be more of the person that you originally were anyway. And so you're probably right about that.

You know, he's still buying big houses, but I bet he's like, $70 for a shirt, Can you imagine that? Yeah. Or when he is buying a $120 million house or whatever, he might be like, no, no, that's ridiculous. I'm not paying that. The highest I'll go is $117 million. You know?

I don't know, but I do think that probably, yeah, you just don't change. It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good. You know, with the virus spreading and other health issues, Lane McKill isn't able to get up and go out. much. He got his disability check in the mail. And he was like, all right, I need to go out and stock up. Older guy, obviously. He just missed the senior discount hours at the grocery store in Georgetown,

Tennessee. And so he pulls up and there's people everywhere. He waits in line. He goes up and he gets all his food. He puts it all in the basket. He finally rings through and it rings up $173. He pulls out his wallet. He's only got $140. He had no way to pay for the remainder. So he's like, I'm going to put some items back. And the cashier said, hey, don't worry about it. it's all been paid for. The cashier, Elizabeth Taylor, said that it was all essential items and it would take care of it for him. Oh, wow. So he was nervous to just go in at that point.

But thankfully he did because he got all this stuff covered too. But shout out to her and shout out too because they were talking to her too. And she said, hey, this is happening a lot around here that isn't getting covered in the news. Just people going, hey, let me help you to one person at a time. So everybody that's trying to make a difference right now for somebody who's struggling, like we shout out to you, even though we don't know your name. That's really cool of you to do. It's really cool to her to do too, and that is what it's all about.
